Nutro Dog Food Reviews

I have been reading the reviews on this dog food because my husky has pancreatitis and it crossed my mind that maybe the problem is his food. I have noticed since i have had both of my dogs on this brand chicken and brown rice that they constantly are having diarrhea. My husky is so nauseous all the time that he lays in my bathroom all day breathing really hard. I make him get up and go for walks or play at our dog park but he doesn't want to go. He has been this way since he's been eating Nutro. He is constantly pooping loose stools. Our Vet has him on probiotics and antibiotics but hes not getting better. He’s lethargic 24/7 and I thought it was because he's six years old. My baby Golden retriever is having same issues but eats grass like it's a meal. It's getting so bad. Tonight I am removing this food out of my home and will never feed it again to either dog. I thought this was a good brand but after reading hundreds of bad reviews., I'm done.

I’m disappointed that I didn’t check out the reviews sooner. My 15lb yorkie jack Russell has had the same issues with throwing up blood over the past 3 months. He’s 6 years old and has always had a sensitive stomach. I’ve been feeding him Nutro since he was 1 year old. The first time he vomited blood it was severe and I took him to the vet. They treated him the exact same way that I’m reading in these reviews, also not able to determine the cause. I decided to take him off the Nutro after his 3rd time with this issue and he’s been fine since. It’s been 3 weeks and he’s doing great.

I couldn’t be happier with Nutro Dog Foods! Ever since switching, my dog has shown so much more energy and a shiny coat. I love that every ingredient is natural and balanced, and it feels great knowing I’m giving my furry friend top-tier nutrition. Highly recommend!

Nutro killed my dog for sure with their machines and the way they make their poison, they are the M&M Mars Company; they mix chocolate in the dog food with the M&Ms. They'll lie and deny it. If I were any of you, stay away from this toxic poison.

Wish I would have researched more other than just reading between bags in the store… This shit almost killed my dog I feel like.. Black stools (I don’t think bloody) very runny and he was up and down all night crying needing to go outside. I immediately thought of the food because I’m very untrusting of just about anything on this planet with how much it’s ruled by money and rich fools who couldn’t care less about the people who buy their products but anyway I am a chef who believes in natural foods over anything packaged or processed and I believe all living things deserve that right as well so my long sausage boi has eaten more human food than probably any other dog ever lol. That being meats, rice, 1-2 fruits, lots of pot roast and Dutch oven chicken with the veggies. Anyway you get the point.

Been feeding Nutro Ultra for years, however, twice in the past year, the 30lb bags have been contaminated with moldy, fuzzy, rock-hard chunks. I didn’t notice the problem with current in-use bag until after I had combined the last 1/4 bag with a new bag and feed our dog. Within minutes, he threw it all up. Then I looked at the food and came very close to throwing up myself. No, absolutely no signs of water or moisture on exterior of bag which leads to a logical conclusion that this food was packaged this way!!!!!!!!

My husband came home with his dog food, a half bag that his mother sent home with For our dog because it did not work with their dog. Immediately, my husband put some on the table in a bowl and was going to give it to them to try. First of all you should never give a dog or a cat brand new cat food without first mixing it into their current food so that they can get used to it, Our cat jumped up on the table After smelling the food and started to devour some in a matter of minutes. After he finished eating some, he was throwing up. I did not have a good feeling about it. I kept it in the cabinet until today. After researching info on it before mixing it with their current food I said, "Forget it" and there it in the trash. I'm not even trying to find out!!!

I've got a pitbull dog who's had nothing but Nutro dog food, she's developed a bad knee issue since she was about year and a half limping every day for year and a half. I'm disabled on fixed budget. Buying this pricey dog food because I want only the best for my dog. Vet bills trays and supplements nothing worked. I recently started keeping a Labrador retriever for a friend. I couldn't afford the expensive Nutro. She's been on cheap Pedigree dog food for about 6 weeks and this is first time in the last 3 years that she isn't limping at all. He and the Lab are roughhousing every day and she's never stopped limping like this before and nothing else has ever worked.

DO NOT BUY NUTRO PET FOOD. SERIOUS ILLNESS! WHERE IS THE RECALL ON THIS PRODUCT?! I switched for one time because the jinx food that I normally buy was not in the store I was at. After a few days both my dogs started having extreme diarrhea and vomiting.. I’ve never seen them so sick in their whole entire life. The gas smell is insane. This is not just bad quality there is something terribly wrong with this formula. I’m expecting some kind of bacteria/salmonella. Please be aware and don’t let your pets go through this.

A couple weeks after I switched my dog (8 year old chihuahua) to Nutro Lamb and Rice dog food, he developed severe stomach upset and was in so much pain. He wouldn’t let us pick him up, was hiding from us and totally not himself. After a $750 vet visit, labs and x-rays, it was attributed to switching him to this brand of dog food. We have since switched him back to the original dog food he was eating and had had no further issues. Don’t waste your $$$ on this junk.
