Nutro Dog Food Reviews

My dog is enthusiastic about this food for its good taste, easy to chew, and he eats it twice a day. I do not worry that given the correct amount of food, he will not gain weight. Nutro provides complete nutrition without being high caloried and I like it very much. It is easy to handle because it is dry and I don't have to deal with messy cans. My dog is primarily a house dog, so keeping his weight down is important.

I like that Nutro offered different categories/types of food products for dogs of differing ages and that it was available as a dry form of dog food. I thought the packaging was attractive for purchase, and I liked that it was for weight management. But I would like to see more of a variety of flavors offered. I also wish that there should be a decrease in price or offer coupons and the calorie content was lower or somehow that it would have actually helped my pet lose weight and improve their health. New dogs need better weight control. I did not see a change in pets weight with Nutro and it did not meet my initial expectation that I would see my dog's weight decrease.

I like the healthy fiber in Nutro High Protein-Grain Free that is good for your dog. You want to have good vegetables and other healthy items so it has enough healthy stuff in there so we want to make sure we have more. When I tried it with my dog he seemed to like it a lot. It's a good blend or something is making him want to eat it and you want to make sure it's good. But Nutro should make the dog food tasty so that dogs will want to come back to it time and time again and make sure it has high healthy content so dog wants it consistently, I don't want to have to go buy different brands.

I chose Nutro because it was less expensive than the Blue Buffalo brand we were buying and it seems to have similar quality. The Lite & Weight Management is low in calories but with proper nutrition and without artificial ingredients plus the price is not unreasonable.

Nutro High Protein-Grain Free is highly praised by other dog owners I talked to. I like the variety for other dogs and at different stages of their life. It meets every pet owner’s needs. I like the high protein and the no grain content. It’s a popular and natural and safe brand. I’d be willing to buy it for my pets. The kibble brand gives my dog the crunch that she enjoys as well as the care to keep her teeth and gums healthy as well as bone health, a shiny coat and her digestive system running smoothly. The vitamins inside the formula give her a healthy start to enjoy life. In spite of recent online reviews and some FDA investigations, I’d still try it and give it to my dogs. I’ve personally never had any problems, nor my dog. I just don’t see it on sale as much as the other brands and I would like larger package sizes. Overall it’s a great brand and product.

I like that Nutro Lite and Weight Management dog food is all natural with no corn or byproducts inside of it. The first main ingredients are normally something real and organic and not nasty ingredients used as a filler. But some months, I cannot afford it and I would love to keep my dog healthy. It is a little pricey and I get that it is all natural and that may cost a bit more. I was recommended it from a family friend and I also like to check the ingredients in my dogs foods to make sure I am not feeding them terrible stuff and that they are able to live happy and healthy lives.

It has surprisingly exceeded my initial expectations which were rather high. I like this because there is no other product like this on the market. It take several hours in one day just to shop around to find this product, so it’s somewhat special. (Not only special for the dog per se.) I still love this product although I hate that this is rare on the market. But it’s always worth the purchase.

But this brand could provide more options for dog owners to choose from by adding a more unique combination of flavors or different tastes to ultimately choose from when owners are selecting food for their dogs. It could really shake up the market industry for a more versatile dog food brand that provides more meat or grain flavors.

I like plenty of things about Nutro dog food; it helps my dog to have a normal looking and smelling BM, I know exactly what is in the product, and my dog loves the taste of any Nutro product I have bought. I wish it could be less expensive but, that's what you get when your feeding your dog healthy food!

It has no by-products or fillers and has all vitamins and nutrients needed for a healthy and happy dog. Allows for a better, productive and more nourishing feeding time and not eating just to fill the tummy. Also, great taste if my dog is eating it. Nutro High Protein-Grain Free food met my initial expectation in that it is mostly made from natural protein that has not been added things like antibiotics. I liked the quite varied, different sources of protein, especially lamb and chicken. These also include sources like chickpeas, chicken meal, pea protein, dried potatoes etc. Also essential minerals, vitamins, oils and fiber are the important ingredients. But I would like the carbohydrate level to be more than the present level. Also there is no probiotics on the list of ingredients. Alfalfa meal I know mostly to be associated with horse food, so not too sure about that.

The main ingredient is always natural vegetables and always contain only real chicken and meat products.

I like the fact that Nutro High Protein-Grain Free is dry and not wet so there is less of a mess in the house. I also like the name. It has the most nutrition for my dog and he likes this brand unlike others which he won’t eat. Nutro helps my dog stay strong and energetic. The food also is grain free and that would help my dog digest. But the portion size is a bit small and sometimes my dog doesn't like it. My dog is small though so the portion size doesn’t really matter but I wish it would be better.

Nutro Lite & Weight Management is a much healthier food for my dogs than many brands. It is a flavor that both of my dogs like, which is very important to me. It even has a nice smell to it that I would think please my dogs. However, I would like to see it a little more reasonable in price but it is from a well known brand so I don't mind splurging for the dog. Nutro is a great company making great food, healthy & no unwanted ingredients. The Lite & Weight Management is a high quality food that my dogs can eat to maintain a healthy weight, but don't have to compromise on flavor & nutrients. Brown rice & sweet potato are very good for them, farm raised chickens and no by products and GMO. I decided to buy this food because my female Chihuahua was having problems with a sensitive stomach. Also, it is made in the USA and the price was not too high. Plus, I really liked the logo and design of the bag.

My vet told me that my dog has a grain allergy so we switched to freaking free food. One is picky but would eat Nutro High Protein-Grain Free so we switched to it. They both love the food. I try to feed them better dog food to keep them healthy and I feel good about giving Nutro to them. It has helped my dog with the grain allergy. He no longer gets raw spots on his back and the other dog will eat it too. It would be nice to have some variety to the food though.

I like that there are a variety of sizes to choose from. There are different mixtures and textures that fit the needs of my array of dogs. The prices are affordable and they are a proven product that keeps becoming more and more healthier as time goes on. Also, they have all of approvals that I expect to see on the bag or box when purchasing healthy dog food. The Nutro High Endurance is also recommended by my animals vet. Although there is a variety of food blends, they don't include some of the choices that my dogs particularly like. Some of the blends my dogs won't even attempt to eat, but all in all, it is my favorite brand to purchase. As long as they keep producing different flavors and blends fish, salmon, duck, chicken, and quail I will continue to purchase from my local supplier.

Had very high expectations on this food (Nutro with Lamb) - great reviews were everywhere. Really disappointed!! My healthy American bulldog mix started having a diarrhea and skin issues after two weeks on this. Before that, we had another HORRIBLE food from the same company (aka Pedigree - beware! the worst food ever!) Now, I will never purchase ANY product from Mars, especially dog food. I won't recommend this to anyone. Now we ordered another food from the company that is focused ONLY on a dog food, not just profit.

I bought a brand new bag of Dog food for my dog and found a dead Rat in the bag of dog food which I fed half of it to my dog. I picked it up while scooping it up to feed my dog. I've never had a rodent in my place nor was it possible for one to get into this tiny opening. We have been with this brand for almost 6 years and we're thrilled with the quality until this happened. I called customer service and they treated me like crap and only offered my money back. They didn't sound like they were thrilled with keeping me as a customer at all. I would not recommend this brand or company to anyone.

My dog stopped eating and the man at the pet store suggested Nutro Dog Food (Original Formula). My dog is a Yorkie and is very picky with what she eats. I read a review of Nutro Wild Frontier Dog food that was quite positive, so I checked it out and read the ingredients, and was impressed, especially with the grain free variety. It has ingredients more like what a dog in the wild would eat, and the particular variety I bought has no grains. Instead of chicken and beef, it has things like duck and fish. The price is higher than most others however considering the quality of the ingredients, I would say it is pretty fairly priced.

I had heard good things about Nutro Farm's Harvest from friends. They recommended it and I tried it and have loved it ever since. The price and packaging are great. My dogs loved it and they ate it up. They beg for it and like it as much as the Blue Buffalo brand which is really, really expensive.

I also like that it is available in different sizes so that if I am tight on money I can get a smaller bag to hold me and my dog off till I can buy a big one. It has definitely met expectations. I love the Nutro High Protein-Grain Free. They have amazing ingredients for their food. The dogs enjoy all of the food I give them, and they absolutely tear it up. They love the food so much, and I hope I can feed it to them forever. However, I wish they had packages that came with more food. More food for a higher price but more discounted price in a way. Blue Buffalo is a great brand and the one I use to use but it got a bit pricey so I went to another one. Nutro can be equivalent to what I buy. Not quite but it work and I buy it. The ingredient of Nutro Dog Food (Farm's Harvest) are great and I like how organic it can be so I went with that one and it work perfectly fine. My animals seems to like it so I am happy so he is happy. But I dislike how small the bags are. I wish the bag could be a bit bigger for the price I pay but at the end of the day my animals are happy so so am I. It is a great bargain at the end of the day so I am not complaining.

Nutro's Original Formula is natural, healthy, no junk. My dog loves it. I can really tell a difference in his energy level and health when he eats Nutro dog food. It's better than store brand. And there aren't a lot of fillers. I want my dog to live as long as possible and buying good dog food should give him plenty of nutrition and keep him healthier than store brand dog food. Nutro dog food is great but it could be a more meaty flavor or closer to real meat. My dog likes kibble, but he goes crazy for real meat. Maybe they can put in meat-like chunks that are shelf stable.

The quality is amazing, as well as fragrance for them and it's like candy for them! Many dogs prefer this. Also, expect this to be found in many stores, like Petco or SPCAs. It's widely common and therefore I recommend it. But instead of having the same old things they should add more variety, like softer food, for smaller dogs. Other than that I'm good with it.

I liked the size of the pieces of the Nutro Wild Frontier but I didn't like how dry it was. It should be moistened and somewhat soft to the touch with real meat inside not artificially flavored chunks. Also should have real vegetables inside with multi vitamins and protein. Me and my dog are not satisfied with this product. We are very unhappy. The meat was artificial and the veggies were also too dry, maybe old and stale. I purchased this brand because I saw a commercial about it but my dog didn't really like it. He flipped his bowl over and refused to eat it for three days. I would like my money back.

My dog was developing pancreatitis so I needed a dog food with low fat, but high protein. Nutro High Protein-Grain Free delivered at 8% fat at the senior level which was perfect for us. It has the lowest fat content with the highest PPR value. They use real ingredients with no fillers. However, the price is a bit high for the large bag. It's the most expensive of the same high quality competitors. The kibble size and shape is inconsistent as well. It looks different every time I buy a new bag. But I think is a great product and my dogs love it.

I like that there is a grain free option that is made without chicken. My dog has allergies and he enjoyed this food and did not have an adverse reaction. It's available in many stores and I liked that is was not as expensive as other grain free options and still seemed like a quality product. The packaging is done well. It has good size kibbles for my Labrador retriever. I have found that my dog does best with grain free fish based foods but he doesn't always want salmon. He gets bored with it and white fish options are difficult to find though. Adding more flavor combinations that are poultry free would be great as well. Grain free selections aimed at specific life points or muscle needs would be awesome too. Directed ordering and auto delivery to the house would also be nice. Coupons or rewards programs for dog food are always nice too. Overall I like the brand.
