Aug. 13th 2026, approx. 7:00 PM, Garden City, ID. I had just picked up my car and decided to get a few errands done. There was a whining noise coming from under the hood but I thought I would just go back to the shop in a day or two. Got to the store, no problem. Got gas. No problem. Decided to give the Buick a much needed wash. Problem. You can't make this stuff up. She died in the car wash. On the Rinse cycle. She would not turn over, the dreaded clicking. Are you kidding me? I informed the Store Associate that there was a full size car with a dead battery in the middle of her car wash. I checked the cables and tried again. Nope.
I called AAA. Talked to a real nice lady, I think her name was Danielle, took info, put me on critical because of the location of the car and got help on the way. My Shining Knight was Doug with Airport Chevron. He charged the battery, and noticed it wasn't receiving a charge. She started and he listened to the whining noise and told me that it was the alternator and it was done for. He followed me the 2 blocks home, checked under the hood and confirmed it was the alternator which was whining like crazy and dangerously hot. He then took the charger off and we tried to start her up. Nope. But I was home safe and could handle it from there.
Doug is a super nice guy, knowledgeable, capable and a gentleman. Thank You Sir. I called my guys at Big O in the morning and they got me to the shop. Because of Doug, they knew before I got there what was wrong and already had a new alternator on the way and took care of me. Home, safe and the car is solid and dependable. Thank You Doug for all you do.
The Best to you and Yours,Donna and Family

I was in a frenzy trying to ask almost everyone in my apartment complex to give me a jump for my Volkswagen Passat. Then Kayla drove up, I don't know of maybe a handful of female drivers, I personally met (2) in my lifetime but this time Kayla did something I've never seem done before, she hooked up the latch/ cable from the hydraulic bed, and connected it under my vehicle. I asked "Can't you just drive it up?" She said "I can't company policy changed, and we can't drive vehicles up the ramp bed anymore, unless it like a dangerous situation like "Freeway " or something. Immediately my mind wanted it to be easier for her, because where were at in Arizona it's 114 degrees and the pavement must be double the intensity. "She was by the book!" She still got under the car and hooked everything up! I was amazed by her ability and her laid back positive attitude.
I was taken by just how simple she made it look!" Oh, yes!" She even jumped my battery before, it was hydraulically placed up the ramp onto the truck, because where it was being towed to it was a narrow passage way and juice was needed to drive. My vehicle was misfiring aside from the dead battery, so eventually I had to take it to the shop to address that issue as well. All in all it was worth it. No regrets!!! Completely satisfied.

My 8 year old car (a Dodge Charger Hellcat) got stolen a little over a year ago, which was a total bummer, but the service I got from AAA was terrific. They were on top of things, kept me up to speed, and even renewed my car rental before it expired during the process. The best part was I didn’t have to argue about the value of my car once it was considered a total loss. I hadn’t even been a customer for very long, but I will be loyal to them with great service like that! It may be a tiny bit more to have AAA coverage, but when needed it’s worth every cent!

I have been with AAA for years, and years. One morning I was going to work and the car would not start. I was so upset as I was sweltering in 90degree weather waiting for a tech. That charge me for a new battery despite I just purchased the previous battery about a year and a half ago. Then I called a Supervisor name Jimmy P. He helped me by reimbursing me for my battery. He was so professional and so efficient especially being in my position of feeling helpless! Jimmy P saved the day! Thank you Jimmy God and AAA will always show up at your door! You're a SUPERSTAR! I had a great experience with AAA. When I called, I was told it would likely take about 45 minutes for assistance to arrive, but the technician was there in less than 10 minutes! I needed help removing my grandchild’s car seat so I could pick up a large item I had purchased on Marketplace. The technician was patient, friendly, and took the time to make sure the seat was removed properly. He was able to get it undone when I couldn’t, and his help saved me a lot of frustration. I really appreciated the quick response time and excellent customer service. Thank you, AAA, for coming to the rescue once again.

This morning, I had an emergency while driving on the freeway. My front left tire suddenly started losing air very quickly. I immediately exited the freeway and safely pulled over away from traffic. I called AAA Roadside Assistance, a service I have been a member of and paying for for 23 years. AAA sent a technician to assist me with changing the flat tire. When the technician arrived, he attempted to lift my work van using a two-ton jack. However, he barely attempted the job before telling me that his jack could not lift my vehicle and that he would have to contact AAA for additional assistance. After waiting, AAA customer service called me and informed me that they would not be able to complete the tire change because my work van was fully loaded with tools and materials and was supposedly too heavy.
At that point, I had no choice but to solve the problem myself. I sent my wife to a store to purchase a two ton jack . She brought it to me, and I was able to lift the vehicle and change the tire myself—the same job AAA told me they could not complete. I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with the service I received. I have been a loyal AAA member for 23 years, paying my membership every year specifically so that I can depend on roadside assistance when I have an emergency like this. I wasn’t asking anyone to provide a free service—I was asking for the roadside assistance that I have been paying for.
Because the technician was not properly prepared or willing to make a reasonable effort to solve the problem, I lost a significant amount of working time and money. A flat tire is one of the most basic roadside assistance situations. If I was ultimately able to purchase a jack and change the tire myself on the side of the road, I don’t understand why a professional roadside assistance provider could not provide the proper equipment or send someone who could complete the job. After 23 years of membership, this was an extremely disappointing and unacceptable experience.

NOT WORTH IT! What a total waste of money is this membership. Spent hours waiting for a tow truck, getting messages about how the AI texter was communicating with "the team" and claiming that someone who was responding to the service request would be in touch soon with a precise ETA. All the while, apparently there was no response to the service request for at least 3 hours but they made it seem like there had been someone dispatched so wasted all that time waiting for nothing. When I finally cancelled and called a local tow company it took just 13 minutes for the guy to arrive. We are CANCELLING.

I've had to rescue my 89 year old parents from the roadside twice in the last week. They are 15 year members of AAA. They called both times and when they called to follow up there was no record of any service being requested. I called during the second incident. The call ended with a text to me, but no verification of service being provided. I called a local tow company. $140 to tow this second time. I changed the flat tire on the first call. No need to pay for a service that doesn't show. Could have saved many $$$ over the years.

Nothing.. 3rd call finally the lady connected me to a Pennsylvania representative. Who said Noone was available until 7am when the garage opened. There were many garages in the area! Noone came we were scared and tired soo tired waiting in my small car.
Someone said AAA doesn't pay Garages enough to even bring their trucks out..so hardly any Garages participate in Many states + towns. Yet they advertise-"24hr towing + road assist." I was Test driving a car. The paper thing dealer plate paper fell off the car. I got pulled over. Got a stack of tickets. I was first on the phone with a wonderful lady who was doing everything in her power to help me as she understood the situation and desperation I was in and all I needed was the model of the car. The lady said, "No problem. We're going to take care of you. When you call back it's going to pop up from where we're at," which was all I needed to provide was the model. I had to hang up to get the model. I called back and the service was terrible. They would not help me at all then sent me to a private service that quoted me with the "AAA discount" $314. They even said that the first lady is going to get in trouble for trying to actually help me. I even told her I would get back to the car with my member card and nothing.
Rosanne and the other lady provided TERRIBLE service. I asked her to rewind the recording so they could honor what was told to me and nothing. I asked to speak with a supervisor and then they put on a lead agent acting as if they were the supervisor. Absolutely terrible experience after these tows are finished. I won't be a repeating customer neither should anyone the way they're not willing to help. Oh and BTW I have 4 tows left.

As we all know... Companies are just NOT what they used to be. Services provided by AAA were once reliable but as years pass so does their reliability of handling your roadside assistance situations. BOTH TIMES AT SERVICE ATTEMPTS WERE FAILED BY AAA. Because of simple things like not being prepared with the right equipment. In this kind of business, I would think you would be prepared to deal with the makes and models of the many different vehicles. NOT give us excuses every time AAA fails. Which is 9 out of 10 times. And reaching out to customer service is even worse. They're only happy and helpful when it comes to collecting annual dues. They are trained with excuses as to why they couldn't help but at the same time counting the service that couldn't be completed against your call.
I've had a management representative even go as far as to be catty and unprofessional with me going back and forth about what came with my vehicle and what tools the service provider should have. She was very nice, nasty and respectfully at odds with providing professional resolve to a customer service situation. She made it worse and made AAA look like exactly what they have resorted to. A company of no professional services, failed attempts, always ready to take your hard earned money but can never provide satisfactory service. Thanks Paula..Manegement of resolving problems with no customer service. You can keep your services, excuses, and attitude. We will NOT ever use AAA services again. Unsubscribe us NOW from your emails of promotion. Your failed service attempts and unprofessionalism are no longer required.

I have been a AAA member for 21 years, and this has been one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had with the company. I live in Fort Myers, Florida, where the heat is known to shorten battery life. My AAA battery was less than 2 years old and is supposed to be covered under a 3-year warranty. When my vehicle wouldn't start, I called AAA for assistance. The first technician tested the battery and told me that because the battery was discharged below a certain level, he could not replace it under warranty. I contacted customer service hoping for assistance, but they were unwilling to help or offer a reasonable solution. AAA then sent a second technician who told me that testing the battery would not be accurate because it was too drained and suggested that I purchase a battery charger and charge it myself before any warranty determination could be made.
Following that advice, I drove the vehicle for approximately 45 minutes to try to recharge the battery, but it still would not hold a charge. What disappoints me most is not just the battery issue, but the lack of customer service and support. As a loyal member for more than two decades, I expected AAA to stand behind its products and work with me to resolve the problem. Instead, I received conflicting information from technicians and no meaningful assistance from customer service. A warranty should provide peace of mind, not force customers to buy additional equipment and troubleshoot the issue themselves. Based on this experience, I'm seriously questioning the value of continuing my AAA membership.

I have escalated the situation all the way up to the president of my local office and have gotten ignored and also when answered called or implied that I'm a liar. I chose AAA out of a lack of choices for home insurance. They removed my multi policy discount from my home insurance policy (which I expected, I moved my auto insurance because it was ridiculously priced) and got a notice for payment. I'm mortgagee billed, so I expected that it was also sent to my mortgage company for payment. I heard/received nothing until 8/5 when I got a letter that said due to nonpayment, I'll be cancelled on 8/7. So I got on a call with my mortgagee and AAA and mortgagee issued an overnight check to AAA for the balance.
A couple of days later, I received an email saying my policy cancelled. I expected that, since they gave me TWO days to handle this before cancellation, but I figured since it was overnighted, coverage would be backdated. A week later, I check to see if AAA has reinstated the policy. It still showed as cancelled. So I called AAA to verify if it just hadn't been updated yet, they advised no payment was in their system.
So today, 8/14 I get back on a call with both AAA and mortgagee, mortgagee reissues ANOTHER check and asks if the policy will be reinstated once payment has been received. AAA advises no, they don't have any way to notify me that the payment has been received, I'll have to call to reinstate. I asked if I can authorize reinstatement, since HOW WILL I KNOW IF THE PAYMENT HAS BEEN RECEIVED IF I'M NOT TOLD? THEY SAID NO. I JUST NEED TO CALL. So for a company that has been around probably longer than most insurance companies in the US, I'm told I need to call every single day to reinstate my policy because they have no way to notify me if they received a check they should have received a week and a half ago. Go anywhere else but this failed excuse for a company. Anywhere else.
