I hate my dress. I hate how I look in it. When I did my appointment last week, I felt pressured to buy a dress out of all the options they made me try on. They pressured me to buy it too because they said it wouldn't get here before my wedding. It got here the next week. Now I'm suffering the consequences of wasting money on a dress I don't even feel confident in. They told me it would fit a certain way but when the order came in last week, it didn't fit like they said it would.
I don't like my dress. And the store manager told me I couldn't return it. So I felt pressured not to come back. I just hated my experience. I'm stressed. My wedding is in July and I don't want to wear this dress. And I wasted my money. It cost more than 1k. And the restock fee is more than what it says online. She’s charging me 250 to restock a dress I didn’t even want to buy in the first place. And the lady attending me, Irina, wasn’t even there to help. ‼️‼️Don’t let The manager Kayla from maple shade location pressure you into buying the dress.

Their Customer service is ridiculous. No one knows what the other one is doing. People call for information about a PAID FOR DRESS and they can't find it. "It's shipped. Oh no it's not shipped. We can't find it, here it is." It's the worst experience ever. They suck!

We purchased a dress for 1,799.00 and was not told until after the fact that we could not return the dress for a refund. Lack of Disclosure: At the time of purchase, we were not informed that the sale was final or exchange-only. This policy was only discovered on the receipt after the transaction was completed. Attempted Cancellation: We contacted the store just two weeks after ordering to cancel. We were discouraged from doing so and persuaded to wait until the dress arrived. Had we been allowed to cancel then, the dress would not have even left the warehouse. Pristine Condition: The dress was picked up on March 5th and remains in absolute pristine, unworn, and unaltered condition with all tags attached. I am still waiting for someone from David's Bridals customer service to contact us back about this matter.

Make sure you are absolutely sure of any item you buy. They charge 14.99 restocking plus 14.99 for a return shipping label. This is ridiculously high. Even though I tried canceling the order before they even sent to me, they still processed it so I had no choice but to pay and send back.

Donna and Juana are absolutely amazing! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and cared for. I love Donna — her attitude is incredible and she truly made the experience so special. Juana’s attention to detail was also amazing. They both handled everything (and me!) with so much care and professionalism. Their customer service was outstanding, and they made the entire experience feel easy, special, and stress-free. The best part? I was able to find my perfect wedding dress within my budget! I would highly recommend this location to any bride-to-be. Thank you, ladies, for making this such a beautiful experience! 💍✨

This place doesn’t even deserve a 1 rating. First off they kept messing up the dates to come in and try on the wedding dress and bridesmaid gown. My sister decided she didn’t want the wedding dress which I paid 3000 for. They said no refund. I was so upset! They said I could exchange. For what? I am turning them in to the Better Business Bureau. No one knows what they're doing in there and unfriendly staff and I’m stuck with the dress.

Last year, I went with my daughter-in-law and family for her to look for a dress at the Deptford store. Her mother and I was hesitant for her to go to your company for the two bankruptcy! Was not impressed with the sales girl for she so unenthusiastic in helping my daughter-in-law. Wrong job for her to be in! As she was trying on dresses for about an hour, we noticed the manager kept walking by with an agitated look. Not saying anything or even talking to the bride. You can tell that she wanted to get the sale going and get out for the next appointment! My daughter-in-law felt rushed and all of her family felt the same way. She decided to leave and found a dress at a bridal boutique that did an amazing job getting what she wanted with compassion from the sales staff! Now this year, at the same store, things have not changed!! My daughter came in to look for a dress.
Again the sales girl that was appointed to help my daughter was unprofessional at the start! She never stayed with my daughter and left when she came out of the dressing room. I went to look at other dresses and found one that she might like! I was approached by the staff that I was not allowed to do it with an attitude! She took the dress away from me and put it back. As I was watching other brides trying on the gowns, I noticed other guests were taking dresses with no one saying anything! I see why they are closing stores, for they need to close all of them! By the way, the same Manager was there from last year and told a bride and her family to leave! Who does that! Don’t go to this store and look at other options where there is plenty of bridal boutiques that would give the bride the best experience finding her dream dress!

David's Bridal alterations department is the worst place for anyone getting married and need their dress altered. I suggest people go elsewhere. I experienced unprofessionalism and dishonesty. The hem of my brand-new dress was prepped for alteration. The top didn't need any work done. Upon my return to pick up my dress, I was given a different dress. The dress straps, bra, and armpit were black with dirt from bodies, missing beads, and ill-fitting. The store's owned dirty petticoat that people try on for sizing, she wanted to sell me for $90 after telling me that I didn't purchased one. I had my receipts. She insisted it was my dress. The dress was not mine.
I had before and after alterations pictures that clearly showed the dresses were not the same. She offered to take the embellishment off, alter the dress, and have it cleaned (a new dress?). After four visits trying to resolve the issue, no one could tell me where my new dress that was prepped for alterations went. They could not resolved the problem, so I asked for my money back for the alterations, and on the fifth visit, I went to get my money back for the dress and petticoat. Stay away from David's Bridal alterations department in Westwood, Massachusetts, unless you want stress before your big day.

Made an appointment for my daughter and her maid of honor to try on dresses. Arrived on time but David’s Bridal said they had no record of my appointment. After about 15 minutes they found someone to help us who was clearly annoyed by our presence. The grouchy clerk found my daughter a room to try two wedding dresses on that she had found during our 15 minute wait. The clerk never smiled and never talked with us. We never even looked at bridesmaid dresses and we had planned to do. Left after trying the two wedding dresses on and have since bought my daughter’s wedding dress at Vera’s instead.

Please do not buy from them.. now as a matter of principle we have contacted a lawyer. Please don’t be fooled. So many small wedding dress shops go to them as they are a big company. They don’t care about everyday people.

In November 2024, I purchased a bridesmaids dress online in two sizes. Upon receiving the dresses, I kept one and initiated a return for the other. I followed all of the return guidelines and sent the item back within the time limits. There was no communication with me if they had ever received the item. I had to reach out about a month later with their team and they let me know that they had received the item. I never received a refund or any communication about my item. I reached out a few more times and have still never received the refund and it’s been close to 10 months now. If you return an item here plan on not receiving your money back.

Purchased a dress on 7/30 for my grandson's wedding in September 2025. Employee asked: if I wanted the one off the rack. No. I bought a new dress $90. She said she ordered it and will be ready at the end of August. Received call 4 days later. Dress ready. That was fast. Went to pick it up. No dust bag. She just hands to me. It looked like the one I tried on. I took it, thought about it and decided to call it was the dress off the rack. When I spoke to a manager she had every excuse in the book. I'll NEVER purchase from this company. Imagine they do this for a $4000 wedding dress.

I NEVER write reviews but this is the worst place of business I've ever seen!!! Went to try dresses on and sales staff were lazy and incompetent. They didn’t have any of the dresses that we saw online and wanted to try on. Online order says takes 7 business days to receive and it took over a month. I ordered a size 8 online, which is what I always wear, and the dress was too small. I tried to get a size larger and was told it would take TWO MONTHS to come in!!! The wedding is in ONE month! Was told they don’t have that dress anywhere in any store! Booked an alteration appt for 7:00 to see how we could make the dress that’s too small work since obviously I’m stuck with it. Got a text confirmation saying 7:00. Then received an email confirming my appt for 5:00!
So I called the store to question this and was told I did not have an appt at all and that they were over booked and I couldn’t come in that day. Spoke with 3 different people and they were all extremely rude. Saying things like, “idk who you talked to but you’re not on here!” They were acting as tho I had gone to some other website and that I was lying. The store manager told me that the online staff never checks with them and they are continuously double booking their appointments. The only thing good I have to say is that the dress is of good quality.

The customer service was great. The only reason I would recommend using David's Bridal is because they make you pay for alterations before the alterations are completed. Also, the amount of the alterations was more than my dress. I haven't ever been anywhere that this has been the case

BE AWARE! They say you have 7 days to return. My daughter changed her venue so she changed her dress. We bought a veil Saturday 9/7. We went to return it Saturday 9/14 and they said she could not return because it had been EIGHT DAYS??? This was a $200 veil, which is a lot of money. I just worry this may happen to someone with a $1,000 dress. The manager was SOOOO RUDEEEE about it as well. I wish I could upload photos. She BOLDLY highlighted the 7 day return policy on every receipt we had that day. I’m not sure what calendar they use but my entire 50 years on this planet a week from Saturday is Saturday.??
I couldn’t believe it. We went from finding a beautiful dress and being excited about that… That process was painful as well for the record. I got scolded for looking for a dress she had tried before to try again and was told I couldn’t touch the dresses again. I guess you can touch them when you get there to pick 3, but DO NOT touch after that. They could not find the dress we wanted to see again. They said it would be on their tablet in her profile, it was not. They had dresses on there that we had never seen before though… ?? So since I was not able to go grab it, we were not permitted to try it again…
Our experience the week before was WAY different, we had Kat and she was AMAZING and made it a fun and happy day. She was not available the 14th and it was a stressful experience. We didn’t get to see all the dresses we wanted and then had to argue that 7 days was not 8 days. She bought the dress because it was perfect, but she decided not to get it tailored there or give any more business to them after being treated so rudely. We shopped at the Dayton Ohio location both times for reference. I’ve never been treated like I was a total idiot for not buying 7 days is actually 8 days. The manager was nasty..beyond nasty to us. My daughter left with her hands shaking and so upset on what should have been a wonderful memory…

Recently purchased and returned a gown. Measurements of my daughter were taken to ensure proper fit, but I was not informed that height measurements were not included, nor were length alterations discussed prior to purchase. Upon receiving the dress, it was way too long and then alterations were discussed-another-$300- NO THANKS! I was informed that all dresses are made super long and will only fit super tall women. The average woman is not super tall, so this is definitely a setup to get you to spend additional money!

Just awful. Brought in my bridal party to David’s Bridal in North Charleston, SC with an appointment. The consultant was distracted and running off repeatedly to help people who didn’t have an appointment. We fell in love with a dress only to find out later that it didn’t come in my color or any acceptable color. It is clearance online so it’s available in limited quantities, but a month later it is still on the regular rack in the store when there are only a few colors available in a few very large sizes.
I ordered a crinoline to go under the wedding dress I bought somewhere else. I was unable to find anything I liked at David’s. I wait forever and it hasn’t come. I use their awkward and time consuming customer service e chat and they tell me it is shipping tomorrow. It should have been to me in a few days and it had been over a month. I wait another month and check my order online and now it’s been cancelled without warning or explanation. The same exact thing I ordered is listed online this entire time in the same size as available and will get to me in a few days. Everything about this company makes zero sense.

I purchased my daughter’s wedding dress at the David’s bridal on Lenexa, KS on Feb 7, 2024. She just received it in mail Tuesday of this past week. We got the wrong color dress. It is cocoa on top and ivory. We had no idea the dress came in different colors considering the dress she tried on was ivory and nude and that’s what she fell in love with and what we thought we ordered. Not only that the consultant didn’t listen to budget she asked me to stay in which was $1,000 she brought a $1,699 dress which is one my daughter fell in love with.
We called the store minute we got the wrong dress and got run around and told consultant that messed up no longer works there because this the 4th dress she messed up. So they decide to do an exchange when they get to that process after making me drive 2 hrs to the store they find out they can’t order the dress. It’s out of stock. So we are forced to get a floor model pay full price for a floor model when I ordered a brand new dress and it was because of the consultant's screw up I’m in this mess. They had ordered her a size 18 ended up with a 16 which still needs altered then I’m told I get a 21% discount due to the issue so she gives me $204 on a gift card and I’m forced to now pay for alterations spend almost two hours waiting for this and tell me another $500 for alterations. Excuse me.
At this point I’m overwhelmed crying. I already spent so much and I’m in this predicament because of the consultant so why would I pay for anything. If anything David’s bridal should be responsible and I should be getting a refund for having a now used dress vs the new one we paid for. I want something done. I want money back. This is ridiculous. My daughter's experience and the thrill of her wedding is ruined.

I had my bridal appointment today. I was very disappointed and discouraged. Many of the dresses I liked I was told were not available to try on. The dresses I did try on were all the wrong size and the girl who was supposed to be helping me was well not much help. I was told some alterations could be made to the dresses but was never told how or what exactly could be done to help the fits and create what I want. I felt very unheard, very pushed aside and rushed at the same time. I ended up leaving upset and going to a local shop with much higher prices and being treated how I would have expected from your shop. I will not refer anyone to David's Bridal! I ordered a Chiffon and lace empire waist gown on 17 April 2024, paid $124.57 for it. I received the email confirmation and I was supposed to receive the order on 24 April 2024. When I did not receive the order by 27 April, 2024, I called the 1-844-400-3222 number and got prompted to press 4 for online order status - the phone would ring several times and then click off. I tried this several times without any luck. I did not choose the text message option. I tried calling for order status again on 1 May 2024, dialing the same phone number and chose to get redirected to the text message option, where we text to 38201. I got a response immediately. The prompt wanted my full name, email address and order number. The text reply I got was "Your order will be shipped 24 April 2024".
Well it's now 1 May 2024 and I still don't have it. I replied "I have not received the order". The text message replied "I'm sorry, I don't understand. Is there anything else I can help you with today?" Then it gave me options for what help I might need. Frustrating! I tried the 1-844 number again and selected option 4 to request order status, finally someone answered the phone. When I gave her my order number, she said, "Sure, let me check." It took her five minutes to get back to me to tell me, the dress is no longer available and if I wanted something else. I said no, I needed the dress for the wedding this weekend and I want my refund back. She said, "You will receive an email shortly that your order was cancelled." I hope they return my refund. I would not recommend buying from David's Bridal online. Their operation is sketchy.

Fortunately the Davids Bridal in Springhill, VA was very helpful and found the exact dress and size of the one I forgot and held it until I could come in for it.
When I got back to PA I called the Monroeville store and explained that I had to buy the same exact dress. Could I return it since it had only been ten days and had all the tags and I could bring the other dress and receipt to prove I was being legit. Flat out no from the manager. So I tried to call the corporate number which takes zero phone calls and instructs you to text for help. Having to provide 1 star is more than this experience was worth. We went to David's Bridal shop at Trainyards in Ottawa on Saturday. It was such a disappointing experience. Shopping for a wedding should be a fairy tale experience which it was not. First off the space allowed for each bride is so limited you cannot get the effect of the gown.
2 you would expect the future bride to get some attention and help by the salesperson especially since we had to book an appointment to try on gowns. The salesperson did not see 1 dress on my daughter nor was she very helpful. We kept asking her to bring different gowns and pretty much had to seek them out ourselves as she could not suggest anything that she would like. WE would ask for an accessory or specific gown and she would return without any items. We had to ask again. We spent most of the time asking each other where she was. She did not help with the gown to try to adjust it to her size or offer any suggestions. It was a very poor experience. We went back to the Moscatel Bridal Boutique in Sarsfield where she was treated so much better and purchased a beautiful gown.

They called me on 11/22 that they already had the dress and if I wanted them to send it home and I thought sure..why not.
It arrived today and OMG.. I am sad/mad. The small box they picked was in bad shape.. and when I opened it.. that poor dress in a regular plastic hanger and a see thru plastic bag.. they didn't put it in those garment cover bags. I recently went with my future daughter-in-law to purchase her dress at David's Bridal in Lubbock. The staff was kind. She absolutely fell in love with the dress. The dress was purchased on October 7. On that same day, the alterations were pinned and the cost for alterations paid. We left extremely happy as we were able to find a dress for the January wedding. Her pickup date was scheduled for Monday November 6th at 10am. On November 2nd, I called the store to explain that she was moving on November 4th because her new job was beginning on Monday November 6th so she would not be able to pick up at the scheduled time. The store said they could arrange for her to pick up on Saturday November 4th but there would be a rush fee for pickup since it was within three weeks.
First of all, it was exactly four weeks between purchase, paid alterations, and pickup. The dress should have already been ready for the appointment Monday morning. The fee of $40 in the grand scheme of a wedding is nothing. It is just inconsiderate when it was not asked to be rushed, just pickup up on Saturday afternoon vs Monday morning due to extenuating circumstances. And again, it was actually four weeks. The alterations were good and she absolutely loves her dress. I do realize there are rules for a reason but there should also be lead way when it was not really early and only needed because moving and job. Overall the experience was good and I have no complaints with the staff.

In short; I purchased a dress for a wedding, wedding was called off, no longer need the dress or anything else from them but they're refusing to take the dress back for a refund. Dress is unworn, unaltered, and the tags are still on it. It can 100% be put back on the rack for resale but instead they're forcing an exchange. Again, I don't need the dress or anything else this store sells so an exchange for what, I have no idea. I contacted the BBB and the company is still refusing to offer a refund. This company gives the absolute worst customer service in the retail industry, hands down. They care nothing about the customer and they care nothing about their horrible reviews all over the internet. It's no wonder they're going under. I'm telling every bride I know to steer clear of these thieves. Once they get their money they wash their hands of you.

On approx 11/8/22, with an anticipated budget of $300, I picked and purchased a wedding dress from David's Bridal for $600. They ordered me a size 10. We (myself, my daughter and two friends, repeatedly told them that I needed a smaller dress. The dress I tried on was a 12, I was currently wearing a size 8 (about 145 lbs at that time) and losing weight. I have MS and my steroid treatment from a relapse resulted in a weight gain of 40+ pounds, and we clearly explained that the weight would fall off and the employees and head seamstress insisted that I purchase a size 10 and if it needed to be exchanged when it was delivered (anticipated delivery was February 2023), I could do that.
The dress was delivered in December and I went and tried the dress on. I again asked that the dress be exchanged for a smaller size because the dress was then too big, bigger than it was when I purchased because I had lost another 10 lbs down to 135lbs. Staff and the head seamstress (or at least she was the seamstress that everyone needed), again insisted that I not exchange the dress because the dress could be altered down if need be. I told the staff and the seamstress then that the dress already needed to be altered down two sizes. The seamstress disagreed and said the dress was fine and could be taken in. The seamstress instructed me to call and schedule alterations two months prior to my date.
I came back in on 8/20/23 for an alterations appt and the very nice seamstress that was assigned to even initially said the dress was too big. Then went and got that same seamstress that told me not to exchange the dress, who assisted in making the alterations which were a lot. $390 worth. So now I went in with a budget of $300, bought a dress for $600 and have alterations totalling $390 which could have been avoided had they just ordered the dress in a smaller size as I asked for on at least two occasions. I was just there yesterday for another fitting and the dress, YET AGAIN, needs more alterations and I'm on the verge of moving my wedding date because of this.
I told the seamstress yesterday that the dress doesn't feel right (after she had to check the alterations slip twice) to make sure what was supposed to be done was actually done, and the straps feel like they're going to fall because the dress has been taken in so much. So, the dress has to be taken in even more!! I told her I would take it somewhere else to see if another seamstress could fix it because this is insanity. She just told me I wouldn't be charged for further alterations. Surprise surprise, I shouldn't have been charge $390 for alterations in the first place for a dress that should have been exchanged for a smaller dress the first two times I asked.
Conveniently for your company, by the time I came for alterations, the exchange period expired, which I brought up when I initially picked the dress up and the staff repeatedly assured me that the dress didn't need to be exchanged. I'm pretty sure this dress has been mutilated and I'll be surprised if I don't have to purchase a whole new dress which is infuriating. Super ** business practice for your company and I'd be an idiot to believe anything other than this being intentionally so that the company or its seamstresses can make a profit off of alterations. I plan to make a very big deal out of this with everyone I can and discouraging anyone I know from buying a dress from this company.

I still can’t believe it! From the time we entered the Wilmington, NC store until we left we were never greeted, acknowledged or assisted. I helped my granddaughter pick out and try on 6-7 dresses. Zero help from anyone! We were the only customers in the store at the time. The young lady stayed sitting at the front desk. As we were leaving we stopped to look at dress displayed right behind the desk and still no engagement from store employee. We left and went to a bridal boutique nearby and had an amazingly positive, happy experience and purchased a dress (as it should be). Not sure how David's Bridal is staying in business with this lack of customer service!

My bridesmaid dress is unbearable. Ordered a size larger for more coverage. I was embarrassed just standing in alterations. I didn't even show my sister the photos as it was awful! I looked like I was trying to advertise my cleavage. I would NEVER wear this gown in public. The fact that I spent over $400 on my MOH dress that is going directly into the garbage explains why so many David's Bridal are closing. I had to run out and find a replacement dress for my sister's wedding. Now I'm out almost $600! I don't understand how they think this is acceptable. I am mortified and trust me when I say, I am not shy and this dress made me blush! Be careful with what you purchase. They just don't care!
