Corinna or Karina @ Brea CA was very rude to us on 2.24.23. She was not happy when we asked questions because we wanted to make sure the gown will be ready before we leave for Texas to for the wedding. She said something like I should pay first before we could schedule an appointment for the alterations. I would not go to David's Bridal if we could not afford to pay. In fact, I was ready to pay but we just wanted to clarify they would have the gown ready as promised.
My husband who did not like the way she talked to me, asked me if I still wanted to buy the dress and do business with someone rude. I thought she would be apologetic after what he said but she was not. I told her she should be nice as she is in the service business, she said she is fine and comfortable with how she is with a face to match her sarcasm. When I told her my husband is a psychotherapist and could read her like a book, she just raised her eyebrows. I don't think people like her should be in the frontline. Looking for the right gown or dress to wear for a wedding is stressful enough, people do not need added stress from rude customer service representatives like her. Thank you for your time.

Sanabelle, the wonderful hostess at David's Bridal in Orland Park, IL made this a totally memorable experience in the best of ways. She was there for me, on the spot. Helped me with dresses, gave honest critiques. Stayed with me throughout the whole "ordeal" of trying different dresses, etc. I bought my dress here. This was my 3rd David's Bridal in the Chicagoland area, and not to take away from the others that helped me at the other stores, I'm just saying that Sanabelle was exceptional. Thank you!!

On 2/2/23 my daughter who is the bride to be and her maid-of honor and myself had a scheduled appointment for bridesmaid dress shopping. For starters my daughter is a size 8 and her maid of honor is a 2-4. This was truly an unbelievably offensive and insulting experience for the bride. The “stylist”, who was rude, disheveled and interruptive greeted us and told us how to pick out dresses and what dressing room to go to. After we selected our own dresses, we went back to try them on. All 3 were tried on by the bridesmaid. This “stylist” came back to us and sat down in the chair and went on about how hungry she was and must be PMS’ing!!!! How disgusting and unprofessional!!! My daughter explained to her that she picked out a maid of honor dress but needed other dresses to be more conservative to allow for the fuller figured bridesmaids to be comfortable.
She suggested to my daughter, the bride to be, who wasn’t even planning on trying on anything to be the one to try on the other larger girl styles!! She points to her maid of honor and says she is smaller! She then asked her her size. She said “8”, the “stylist” said, "Baby I don’t know but I’m going to get you a 12!!!!" We were all stunned. She went and got her the 12 and half way back to my daughter says to her to come help her carry the 3 dresses back!!! Unbelievable!!! And needless to say the dress hung on my daughter, obviously it was 2x too big. She cried all the way home.
Upon coming home I read reviews and this same “stylist” within the last year had 3 complaints for the same behavior!!! David’s Bridal does not care!!! So I will not be buying 10 bridesmaid dresses from them! Hopefully, this review will spare another bride/customer tears of embarrassment and insult!!! And she can find a REAL bridal salon to treat her with the respect that she deserves. Trust these reviews ladies!!! They turn out to be true!

I ordered a bridesmaid's dress from David's Bridal and since I was a "new" customer, I received a 10% discount, and then I signed up for their emails, so I received another 10% discount. I think it saved me around $30-$35 total. I had to pay $15 for shipping. When I received the dress, it was too small. I talked with customer service and they said they could exchange it... EXCEPT... I would lose the 20% discount and I would have to pay $12.50 to ship it back and another $15 to ship the new dress out. On top of the $15 I originally paid. So... just to EXCHANGE the dress I would be spending an additional $60 (ish)! To EXCHANGE it!
They would not honor the 20% discount I had from the first order even though it was an EXCHANGE. They said "we can't use the same promo code" so when I asked, "Can’t you just use a different code to equal 20%" they said, "Oh, we can't do that, the discount comes out to be a couple dollars more if we use a different one." Are you kidding me?! A couple dollars!? I will NEVER order from David's Bridal again- I hope the "couple of dollars" was worth losing my business.

My niece had her first appt to look at wedding dresses and they were late, no one helped her hunt for dresses, didn't ask what kind she was looking for, barely pointed us in the right direction. Finely showed us to a dressing room and acted like we were keeping her from something else. The manager went to do her paperwork and was no help. More people came in without an appt and got more help than we did. The whole experience was horrible and upset my niece...

I purchased a dress from David's Bridal via online. It arrived on October 28th. On October 29th I returned the dress in-person to the David's Bridal store in my area. The assistant at the store made the return and entered it in their system. I received an RMA number. Seven days later, looking at my online account, it stated they were still waiting to receive the returned dress. I called the national number and was told it was "being processed".
Seven days later, same thing. Went back to the store and was told they couldn't do anything because it was an online purchase. Called the national number AND did the "chat" on their website. Was told there was a glitch in the system and an IT ticket has to be placed so Finance would have the authority to override the refund. It's been almost 5 weeks and still no refund! Thankfully I purchased the dress using PayPal, they've issued the refund to me and now they have to, unfortunately, deal with David's Bridal for the refund. Nightmare! I will never purchase anything from this business - ever again.

It’s ridiculous how many times you have to visit the store for returns. Their system was down for days they couldn’t find my order. Let’s my items at the store after 2 weeks finally they said they returned, asked for some receipt. They don’t have anything to assure me I will get money back. Call before going there to make sure system is working.

Placed an order online at David's Bridal for a pair of shoes for 19.99 size 10. They sent me a size 8. Qent through their website for the return just like I did when I ordered them. They sent me a return label for UPS. Package them up and had my daughter drop them off. Received an email stating they received my return. I would be getting a refund in 14 days. A wk later received another email stating my refund is 8.89. I called the David's Bridal customer service line where I was told the refund was correct because I did the return online and they were charging me 12.50 for the return label.
This was their fault and you are charging me 12.50 for your mistake. Unbelievable. That is wrong. It never said that in the email. I never saw it or told that when I received my label. I will never ever buy from David's Bridal again!! Nor will I recommend David's Bridal! They aren’t here to help women with one of the most important days of their lives. They only want to rip them off!!

I was Charged Rush fee and the Alteration. Total $220. Crazy but I needed this dress so paid for the Alteration. I had an another appointment to go back to try on my dress once again Dress was still big on me and Another $50 was charged to me. Mind you a Dress I paid $122.44 already cost me around $392.44. Not fair. The dress was ready for Pickup the day before the Wedding and the Dress was still big on me. Took the dress and was very upset. Took it to another Seamstress to fit my dress. All that money and the service was not completely rendered. Very Disappointed. I will never again do business with David's Bridal.

I bought a beautiful dress at a David's Bridal in Springfield, PA. I had my alterations fitting on June 25, 2022, and a final fitting scheduled for August 12th. Two days before my final fitting they called to reschedule for a month later (Sept 15th). I called corporate to complain about it being rescheduled to so close to my wedding (Sept 22nd), and found out that the pins were still in it and they hadn't even started it (from my first appointment a month and a half earlier).
All they would offer me was to take the pins out and give me an alternations refund. They should have done it all for free after all that! They literally waited until it was too late for me to take it anywhere else before they notified me of a problem. I will NEVER step foot in another David's Bridal again! They should do the bridal industry a favor and GO OUT OF BUSINESS! How can you think it's ok to destroy a bride's most important day of her life and give a cold "well I'm so sorry you are going through this" like it's going to make things better? I hope people see this review, realize its truthfulness and run far from David's Bridal!

Oh My Goodness... My daughter and I went into David's in Woodbridge yesterday afternoon and had one of the worst shopping experiences I've ever had. On walking in, we were greeted and asked if we had an appointment which we did not. We were looking for off the shelf Mother of the Bride and Bridesmaid dresses. 10 minutes in I asked an associate if they had any dresses with a certain (classical) neckline style and showed her an example and she immediately said, "No, we don't have anything else like that in the store." They literally have thousands of dresses and many with that style of neckline. She did not offer to help in any way.
Then my daughter was in a change room and an associate knocked on the door and immediately opened it wide, not waiting for a response. My daughter was naked and there was a man sitting right by the door waiting for his wife to come out of another change room and he saw everything. She was mortified! How is this not in your training package 101? Totally and completely UNACCEPTABLE!! I picked up an outfit for my mother and when I went to pay, the girl asked me who had helped me. I wasn't going to say anything but the fact that she wanted to attribute my sale to a sales person for some sort of gain, flipped my Karen switch. I told her that NOBODY helped us and told her what the other sales girl did. She apologized to my daughter but used the excuse that they were conducting interviews and didn't have the time to help us.
There was one other lady in the store trying on dresses, my daughter and I and about 5 staff and they couldn't have helped us? We were in the store for about 45 minutes and we saw the girls all standing around chatting with each other, fluffing dresses on hangers and completely ignoring us. David's, you need to do something about training these girls in the world of sales. I am in sales and very successful because I would never treat customers as we were treated yesterday. My budget for my dress was $1,000 and my daughter's was $500 as well as there were 3 more bridesmaids that are in need of dresses. We probably could have found dresses in your store if we had have had any help whatsoever. But I'm thinking a return to your store is probably not in the future for any of us. A completely disappointed possible customer!

Returned for 2nd alterations. Upon returning home with the dress it occurred to me that none of the alterations were done despite being charged full price. In fact they tried to hide what was supposed to be done by attaching a flower over it instead of actually stitching the front section that was agreed upon and that it would be an easy fix. When I called the manager to let her know of the shoddy workmanship she never apologized or offered to reimburse me for the alterations that didn’t happen. She was unprofessional and couldn’t care less about the dishonesty that took place. Highly disappointing for a place that is supposed to be a service-oriented business. Manager lacked integrity, genuine care and professionalism.

On 04/16/22, I attended a pre-scheduled appointment for bridal gown review & try on with my daughter. She tried on several dresses before finding the dress she found perfect for her day. The salesperson pushed to buy the dress there & then however, I expressed concern as several that she tried on had tears in them and floor dirt. My daughter chose to order the dress as opposed to purchasing in-store that day and the sales representative placed the order. We were told the dress would arrive by 05/22/22, also, it would be 4-6 weeks for alterations so there was plenty of time.
On 5/26/22, we called the store twice & spoke with a customer service representative, in which we didn't get her name, and was told the dress wouldn't arrive before mid-end Aug.. We expressed online it said the dress was in-stock & ready to ship and was told the dresses all come from the same warehouse. My daughter asked about cancelling the order because that was going to be a tight fit with alterations & her Wedding Day on Oct 13th. We were told we couldn’t cancel for a refund because it was beyond the 7 day period in which refunds could be granted. I explained I was originally told the dress would be delivered by 05/12/22 & was concerned with alterations needed, that I haven't received the dress yet so how could the 7-day refund policy apply? I was told that was the policy, return 7 days after purchase with receipt, end of discussion & terminated the call.
On June 3, 2022, we contacted the store again, I spoke with a store manager and pleaded my case trying to yet again get this matter resolved. Once again, I was told returns are only accepted 7 days after purchase and it didn't matter that we didn't have the product, the best that she could do would be to see if she could hurry up the shipment but no guarantee. I contacted the creditor to assist with this unresolved matter, to dispute the charge. We then went to a different bridal store where we purchased another dress, which will arrive in less than two weeks and another 2 weeks for alterations. Now, only after disputing the charge, on Friday, 06/10/22 the store has called to say the dress is in. I have already purchased another dress. If there is something wrong with it, they still wouldn't address the refund, they would force me to get a store credit & I'm back to square one.
Can one assume the dress magically “coming in after disputing with the cc co” is a new dress from their warehouse or is the dirty/torn dress that remained at the store? They don’t offer refunds, they force a store credit even when you don’t have the merchandise that was paid for. You cannot return an item within 7 days, although you have a receipt & they have the money but you don’t have the merchandise. This seems to be scandalous at best. They are forcing you to stay in their store by this practice. It would be a different story if we were beyond the 7 days and had the item purchased in hand but this has to be unethical & unlawful.

But I’m not receiving the product for another 12 days!!
So you want to give me store credit day 8 when I NEVER even received the product?? If you order online you can ship to your home & have 7 days to cancel after you RECEIVE THE PRODUCT!!! So I called to cancel. WELL it’ll take 7-12 days to receive a refund and (cash payments receive a CHECK). I asked for a email confirmation of my cancellation & there is NO SUCH THING!!! So it’s my word against yours? WHAT KIND OF COMPANY IS THIS??? Capitalizing off Brides & their families knowing this is their special day… a true meaning of a BOOTLEG COMPANY.

Purchased a dress in-store and they ordered it online using their computer system. I received the dress the week of May 9th because it was on backorder. The store has two conflicting return policies. Since it was bought at the store we cannot return it but if it is bought online we have 7 days to return it the day of receiving the merchandise. The store ordered it online using the internet and we received it and are currently in the 7-day window. The dress ordered was sized wrong so we would have to get another dress sent to us possibly taking a month or more missing the wedding, forcing us to keep the dress and have it altered at a potentially higher cost to make the wedding date in time. They could only offer store credit due to poor company policies.

In 2020 (Just before COVID hit), I purchased 3 dresses and a sash at David's Bridal in Vista, CA (one for bridesmaid and two for myself). The wedding dress had to be ordered and would not arrive for 4 months... Yet I was required to pay for it upfront. Upon arrival, the wedding dress was crushed in the chest area and went into alterations to see if they could fix it. A second dress that I bought needed to be steamed due to wrinkles and they refused to steam it and give it to me in good condition until I filed a complaint online.
In the middle of COVID, I went in twice to try on the dresses and see if the wedding dress had been fixed properly and it had not. I tried to call them numerous times and they didn't answer their phone or return my call. While all of this was going on, my fiancé was going in and out of the hospital about a dozen times, my daughter was also in and out of the doctor's office and I was caretaker for both of them. Meanwhile, when I finally was able to reach someone at the Vista store in the past couple of months to see if the dresses were ready to pick up, they claimed that I abandoned the dresses (false statement) and that they had sent the dresses back to the corporate office.
I have been reaching out to corporate to resolve this issue for months... they said they'd have a manager call me back, but they have never called me back. I also drove to the store and the manager, Belinda, gave me false information and has not helped me. Now I find out from customer service at corporate (after I have repeatedly called them and never receiving a call back), that they lost my dresses and are not planning to reimburse me for close to a $1,000! I will be filing a dispute on this, but wanted to make sure that the public is aware of this atrocity! I would never recommend this company to anyone - not even an enemy - they are fraudulent and do not honor their commitments.

My dress was ordered in the wrong size and color so had to wait an additional week. Then I want to call me when my dress was ready to be picked up I had to end up calling them. None of my bridesmaids were informed that their dresses were in. They double booked one of my bridesmaids and told her appointment had to be cancelled. Day of my alteration I found out that they booked me for the wrong kind of appt. Had me for bridal and not alterations, but they agreed to see me anyway. Was not informed of cost of alterations nor that I had to pay day of. Lady charges me $378!! $200 alone just to hem.

I truly had high expectations about David’s Bridal, but no more. My experience with the store in Middletown NY were horrible to say the least. I went in to purchase a dress which fit me perfectly. The only problem was there was a small hole in the dress which they told me it would not be a problem to be reordered. On the day of alterations the new dress did not fit whatsoever! I couldn’t believe the dress did not fit considering it was the same size. When I asked why the dress was to small the lady who was doing the alterations said I couldn’t tell me all she does is alterations. I was very disgusted! They told me I had to get a new dress because the original dress was discontinued.
I purchased other items to go with my first dress and now could no longer return them because of their seven day lame policy. After choosing a new dress they tried to make me pay an additional $165.00 after they agree to price match it with the original dress. When the alterations were being done the dress was said to be to much to take in and the hem alone was going to cost $200.00. This was all new to me and my first time hearing about alteration prices. At this point I was so sorry I ever step foot into David’s Bridal and never again will I go back! The service there was completely unprofessional and very distasteful. On top of that they were also rude. I wouldn’t ever advise any bride to be to go to David’s Bridal. I tried to reach customer service and they were NO HELP AT ALL, SMH!
No apologies were ever give for this incident. This was definitely a learning experience for me. I learned that David’s Bridal doesn’t care about the happiness of their customers they have one goal in mind and that to take as much money as they can from you, period. It’s really sad! Anyway, I wished I look at the reviews for David’s Bridal before I considered shopping there because I would have never went. I see I’m not the only one who has had bad experiences there so I’m glad to know it not me just dogging the store. This business REALLY AND TRULY SUCKS!!! I don’t think they even deserve 1 ⭐️

Let me preface this review by walking you through their bogus return policy! You order an item. It doesn't work out. So you go to return it and you have to pay the shipping fee for returning it. You already paid $15 to have it shipped to you, now you have to pay $15 to send it back! Which is $30 you never get back all because they have no sense of a good return policy!
So for my specific situation; I ordered a jacket as a treat for myself, since wedding planning is stressful! The item came and was much smaller than advertised. So I asked for an exchange for the next size up! Their refund Policy says that you don't get Shipping refunded, but I specifically asked if I return the first jacket to the store if I could avoid paying for additional postage for the returned item and exchanged item and was told yes. When I go to actually return it they charge to ship the second jacket. I went back and forth about this with customer service, and to them the conversation was about not paying return shipping. After many texts back and forth, they gave me a "one time courtesy $10 credit".
I just can't believe that a company that sells girls their special dress has a return policy that is insulting. Weddings are already expensive, but go-ahead and charge a girl $30 for something that costs $10 to ship, and probably cost less than $15 to make. The only thing I can walk away from this that makes me happy is that I didn't buy my wedding dress from them! I can't imagine what the hassle would be if something was wrong with my dress.

Where to begin, well they don’t deserve the one star right off the bat! The size I tried on fit just right. Then when I received the one they ordered which was the same size supposedly we couldn’t even get the zipper up or arms fully on it was so tight. It was not the same size at all! They had to search for a store that carried one size up since the warehouse didn’t have any in stock. Finally they did! I thought everything would be good after that but I was dead wrong! They kept sending us confirmations on our alteration appointments the night before and when we would get there after waiting over 30-45min and being checked in they would say, "We didn’t know you were here" and "your dress is not done" and we’d have to come back which is completely inconsiderate and unprofessional.
We all made arrangements with babysitters to go there and now we have to rearrange our lives again for them. They then kept pushing the other appointments for my bridesmaids until three days before the wedding, cutting it real close! As for my wedding gown I had to go back three times because of them and each time I went they didn’t finish the work and the work they did do messed up the dress more. They added ugly little spot flowers on my train without my permission which they said could not be removed afterwards cause it will make a hole they can’t fix so now I was stuck with those. They hemmed the chest area and took too much lace down which made it uneven so they had to reopen it to fix it properly. They added 14 buttons to hold up the train of my dress and it still was dragging on the floor.
They argued with me about getting a refund and only gave me a measly 10% when I paid the same amount as my dress plus all the gas going there 3 times just for the hemming work! The day of my wedding before even getting to the church the buttons on my sleeve and back were falling/fell off! I missed every important moment at my reception because the workers had to keep using safety pins to put my train back up because it wasn’t hemmed high enough so every time someone would step on it even a little it would rip off the buttons! There’s more details to the story but a lot to write so I end this with I don’t recommend anyone using David’s Bridal especially in Westbury, Long Island, NY!

Terrible quality. Do not shop here: you may not get what you ordered. I ordered a bridesmaid's dress that I tried on for my sister; because we have the same shape and she is about 30 lbs smaller than I, I knew that whatever fit me would fit her. I selected a beautifully simple dress called Shutter, in a size 20. It fit me perfectly, all around, so I ordered it in the same size but in the color that fit my scheme. I was aware of the return policy (full refund if canceled within 7 days of purchasing), but because the fit was perfect, I had no qualms about ordering.
I should not have done that. The store called me, yesterday, to let me know that the dress was in. I picked it up and took it to my sister. The difference between the dress in the store and the dress we got was incredible. She tried it on and the cut was poor--the dress was too tight across the hip and back...I had a hard time pulling up the zipper. The shoulders drooped enough to notice and there was a pooch from too much garment in the stomach. I even tried on the dress myself, and the fit on me was also bad (even though I already knew it would be, since--again--my sister is smaller than I).
The store will not give me a refund, despite the fact that the dress was made poorly--an issue caused by them, not me. The clerk told me that they could issue me a merchandise credit, so did the customer rep with whom I spoke today. However, there is nothing else, from that store I want, but I have everything else I need. I'm really irritated, and do not recommend this store.

I wish they would give 30 day returns, like most normal companies do! The only reason they let me return my items, was because I had to buy two items, equal to the same value. They are just gypping people during the pandemic. I will never shop with them ever again! And you can only contact them through text, which is VERY unprofessional! I don't know how, they stay in business? Because a lot of brides have bad experiences with them! I had a heck of a time getting a RMA number from them, to return my stuff, and the customer service agent, sent me a encrypted email, with the return labels. I think they are so frustrating!

First and foremost I was hesitant to come there in the first place based on reviews from friends and things I read online, but I went out on a limb and gave it a chance. I arrived about 30 minutes prior to my 7:30 appointment time because a few of my bridesmaid were with me so they wanted to browse. The guest whom appointment was before mine were still browsing and the person helping them was so pleasant and patient I thought maybe it won't be so bad after all. Boy was I wrong. When it became time for my appointment. The older lady seemed to be either tired of just plain didn't want to assist in my dress making decision. About 15 minutes into it she stated, "You need to pick something so we can get you in one of these dresses!"
I really saw nothing that actually wowed me and then I finally found one dress not necessary that I like but the style I was going for .... wasn't in my size. I found a second one. It too wasn't in my size. I found 2 more....Finally my size or at least that's what they said. One was the other 4x bigger than I needed. It was a lady that was there trying on dress when I got there that was still there. When I started she was offered veils and accessories....not me. I will never go to that location again and it's really put a nasty taste in my mouth about David's Bridal as a whole. Now I understand what my friends were talking about....That 1 thing we all have in common....not that we do or don't have money but we are **! Never again! Absolutely never!!!!

I purchased a dress, cash money, from David’s Bridal five days ago. I wasn’t crazy about it but the saleswoman assured me that I could return it, if I do desired. I did decide to return it today. After waiting in line for what seemed to be an eternity, I presented my receipt and was expecting my cash payment returned. WRONG! I was informed that a check would be mailed to me instead. I wasn’t thrilled but figured they’d get my money to me fairly quick. WRONG AGAIN! I now have to wait approximately one month to receive my hard earned cash back! They do not have their return policy posted anywhere in the store for the buyer’s protection. Very unethical! I will never do business with them again and will make sure that my family and friends do the same. BUYERS BEWARE!

We had an appointment for bridesmaids dress fitting and the consultant Amanda O was extremely rude, not considerate about trying to say any of the girls sizes out loud for the entire store to hear and didn’t notify the bride that the dress she picked for her bridesmaids that it didn’t come in her color of choice until it was time to pay! I was forced to pick a star rating so I chose one but really she doesn’t even deserve that!

I purchased a dress at David’s Bridal in Ontario. The member Amanda was very helpful. I called on day 4 to return my dress. I requested to speak to a a manager. They stated she was very busy if I could call back. So now that I called back in past the allotted time. 7 days. Mind you my dress does not come until Mid October so it’s not like I’m returning a product I have received. I spoke to the manager and she was very rude. She told me there was nothing she can do for me. I called cooperate and they said the same thing. And apparently there are no managers on call, or someone I could speak to. That’s a problem!!!!

I am extremely unhappy. Purchase a dress for my niece for her communion... Mind you we are still in a pandemic so we can’t try anything on in store so purchase online. It was too big and as well as the shoes. I go to exchange the dress for a smaller size. They tell me I have to send everything back get a refund and come back and then purchase everything all over again... ARE YOU KIDDING ME? After all this money I spent with this company I will never shop with you guys again... I couldn’t exchange a different size in store and had to pay more money for another item. I am beyond pissed I will be calling corporate with my issues... Again I will never purchase from this company ever again. You guys are terrible...

I was pressured by the sales associates to purchase a dress that I wasn't comfortable in. I gave in and bought the dress. I went to return the unworn and still in original packaging from the day I bought it 10 days later and was rejected. The once friendly associates were no longer nice or helpful, they have my money so I no longer matter to them. I feel that their return policy is completely unreasonable: full refund within 7 days from purchase, otherwise instore credit only. Buyer beware.
My bad for not knowing their return policy and allowing them to pressure me into buying something that I didn't really like. I reached out to their corporate office, but that was a waste of time. They have no flexibility at all, just kept stating their policy is 7 days. So, I am either out a lot of money with a dress I will never wear or need, or will have a credit in a store that I never want to step foot in again. I hope this does not happen to anyone else, learn from my mistake.
Sincerely, not dressed for success!

Avoid this store. The quality of their dresses is poor, and my daughter was instructed to go ahead and order the next size, so they could alter it. The alterations cost more than the dress! Over $600!!! The actual alterations were all little tucks and other changes that exist in any garment that is one size too large! Unbelievable scam.

I am writing about my experience with an online purchase. I ordered several pairs of bridal shoes to try on. Due to Covid, I did not want to go into store after store looking for shoes. My order arrived except for one pair of shoes. I contacted customer service, and had the worst experience. I was told they had to contact the vendor, and after days of not hearing from customer service, I had to reach out again. Customer service told me to look around my neighbor's house to see if they went there. They did not, in the end customer service offered me a discount to purchase the shoes again!!! Why on earth?! I was never given the pair, why would I even spend another penny at David's Bridal. Worst Customer Service Ever!

This was sooooooo not a bridal wedding fitting I had imagined... The young associate looked at me and automatically assumed I was a size 24. I told her I was not. I showed her my bridesmaids dress photo, she grabbed the dress, walked me to a back fitting room across the room, where there are no mirrors, nor any in the fitting rooms, so in order to see the dress on yourself you have to walk out the fitting room, and into a crowded room of other people trying on dresses. The associate was trying to assist multiple people at once. So I tried on the dress, she came and bunched it up in the back, told me to have it altered and that it could be taken in, and hemmed.
She spent more time on trying to get me to cash out than anything. But after the insult of my size, and not even an offer to try A smaller size, I didn't feel like waiting nor trying on nothing else anyways. She told me I would have to pay to order the dress, and later have it altered to fit me... um no thank you! What happen to the old fashioned measuring methods... measuring tapes, stick pins, writing down ACCURATE sizes, etc. I don't know, but A++ customer service, less assumptions and insults, come with MORE SALES... very poor customer service!

First things first I would NEVER recommend purchasing a Wedding dress or anything in that matter from David's Bridal. (And second I apologize for my lengthy review.) I went to two of their stores on multiple occasions for my wedding dress. While searching for a dress I shown a picture of a dress I was interested in to the consultant. I was then told by this same women that I would not be able to wear that type of dress because "my breast are too big and I'm too short." Who body shames ANYONE when they are looking for a wedding dress?.
I put her negativity and body shaming remarks to the side and proceeded to look for a dress. I found one that day (in which I wanted a few alterations added to it). The consultants told me that they would be able to alter this dress how I wanted and if I was unhappy with it (before alterations) I could 100% return it, which made me revealed just in case I happened to change my mind. I paid for the dress in full but had to wait till my size was delivered to their store for pick up.
Almost 3 weeks later I receive a phone call that my dress was there; I was currently on vacation and told the lady I was unable to pick up my dress. She proceeded to tell me "Well this is paid in full and we don't have enough of room to keep it here for you, so either you pick it up or we'll ship it!" (In a unfriendly voice). I told her I cannot come and pick up the dress. I was currently on vacation for another week or so. She again told me "Well it's paid in full and needs to be picked up, either by you (meaning me) or someone else!". I had no one to pick it up for me.
Needless to say she told me she was shipping it out tomorrow. (Like who does this?!?) I had to find someone who was over an hour away from me to get my dress off my front porch because that week (July of 2019) there were a lot of rainstorms coming in and I just moved to my home in June of 2019 so I wasn't sure if it would get wet and damaged or even stolen!. This by all means ruined the remaining part of my vacation, worrying about my wedding dress! All the money that I spent on it. Was it going to be stolen off my front porch because I couldn't get someone soon enough to pick it up? I couldn't believe it. I was mind blown by the ignorance and the uncaring manner that these women that I've spoken to had.
So about 6 months go by and I finally was able to book an appointment with David's Bridal at a different location to go over my alterations, I was then told that there was nothing that they could do and that this dress apparently fit perfect. When it didn't, this dress was a strapless ball gown dress that is very heavy and didn't seem to have a lot of support in the bust area. (Which I need.) I then proceeded to tell them that I wanted little dainty straps placed on the dress to help with support and if there was anything I possibly could do as in wiring to hold me in and to make the dress more comfortable. The alteration women said no, there's nothing. The dress fits perfectly and she wouldn't recommend the straps because it wouldn't look good and she definitely wouldn't even recommend getting pictures with the straps on it either.
But.. Isn’t this my dress? Can’t I choose what I want? Everyone has their own style and that was mine!. This lady then told me that she wouldn't even recommend doing alterations yet anyways and I should schedule another day in a few weeks. (Mind blown.) A few weeks go by and I schedule another appointment and this time I bring my bridesmaid with me to try on dresses for her and to have mine tried on again for (fingers crossed alterations). This day everything was so unorganized, I made an appointment for my friend and I, they apparently had it that mine was cancelled and hers wasn't. But they said "Eh well I guess you can try yours on quick". WHAT!? You guess?... Like this was supposed to be partially my day. This was the day I could finally get this dress sent for alterations I was thinking and hoping.
They once again proceeded to tell me there's nothing they can do and there's nothing they would recommend. This dress apparently fit me perfect. It didn't, it wouldn't stay up, I wanted straps, I wanted possibly more wiring, I wanted more. I just wanted the perfect dress. The appointment ended in my bridesmaid finding her dress.
About 3-4 weeks later I called David's Bridal about the bridesmaid dress I ordered and they didn't return my phone call for weeks. (I called multiple times). I received nothing. Then the pandemic hit, finally months later I receive a phone call stating the dress is there and I can go pick it up. I haven't been anywhere in public for months besides work so I was really hesitant. I then asked if I was able to finally return my wedding dress when I picked up the bridesmaids dress and was told yes. I scheduled my appointment but was unable to make it because of one of my children getting sick, I left a message with one of the women. The next week l receive this bridesmaid dress thrown in a bag as if it was some four dollar t-shirt from Amazon, no hanger, nothing! I was furious!
Needless to say I've contacted corporate or whoever they pretended to be and was told that I can now not return this dress. I can only exchange it for the dress of the exact price. Because I was over their policy agreement that they apparently just changed after I purchased my dress. They said after 30 days when paid in full you cannot return it. I didn't even receive my dress at my home till way after 30 days, so therefore the policy ran out before I even got it!.
All I wanted was my money back, dress is still in the bag with tags and untouched. I'm shocked at my experience for this entire year, the back and forth with all type of uncaring ignorant people from David's Bridal. I needed the money back for my dress that they promised in the beginning that they could alter because I needed to go elsewhere. My fiance and I are paying for everything by ourselves and we have four children and all I wanted was my dream dress. And David's Bridal took that from me, they body shamed me, they made me feel like I was worthless, they made me feel very unhappy about myself. I'm now stuck with a dress, a veil and a headband amounted to over $1000 that I can do nothing with.
I will never recommend David's Bridal to anyone ever! I am mind blown by this entire situation; I am hurt at how I was treated. And I felt as if these people kept pushing things off that I was fall outside of their policy that they have. In the middle of all this happening I called them multiple times, I was said they would call back and they never did. I would call about every month about my dress, and nothing. I even told them that my wedding date was changed because of the pandemic and they were just so unsympathetic. I'm just so angry and hurt and lost for words.

I returned the dresses the day after I received them, which was a few weeks ago and have still not received a credit. I used a debit card so I paid cash, which was taken immediately out of my checking account. To date I have not received a refund. My recommendation is not to purchase anything online from David’s Bridal due to their slow refund process.

David's Bridal mailed us the dress. They never contacted us to set up a fitting once stores reopened, the Prom has been canceled, I tried to contact the store to inquire on a refund and I was told no. The store opened mid June, I never received notification that they were open, never received an email stating that either. I called the customer service number only to be told due to high call volume I needed to text HELLO to 38201. I again was told I was outside of the refund window, that we extended it 2 weeks and I had just missed it.
After a few messages back and forth, I was told my complaint would be escalated to a case manager and I would hear back within 24-48 hours. It's been over a week and still no response. I text them daily and they do not respond. How can a company be so greedy during a pandemic? They allow a 2 week window to make a return, however they do not make any effort to reach out to customers once they reopened. No final fitting, no zipper alteration and horrible customer service. HORRIBLE customer service experience. Do not order online from this business or you will regret it! Their website is poorly designed, very slow, and often doesn't work at all. Returns are laborious and confusing. The dresses are all identified by 10 word names rather than a simple number. Very tedious. If there's a problem, you can only communicate via text message on a phone -- phone calls are only answered by a message telling you to text, so you can't simply TALK to a person, and there's no e-mail address. Texting and waiting for responses takes forever. I spent literally all day on this yesterday, the issue wasn't resolved, and then the next day, the whole thing started all over again with a new rep as if nothing had ever happened yesterday. I could've explained the whole thing in a 5 minute phone conversation.
It was a mistake on David Bridal's part, not mine, and no one should have to go through this just to get a refund for a dress already returned. We're in a pandemic, and if this business hopes to survive, it needs to make some serious changes in how it deals with customers online and create a 21st century website that actually works rather than being constantly frustrating.

AWFUL, TERRIBLE, CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS WITH LACK OF HELP? Well where to start, I went into the store in December to get fitted for a bridesmaid dress and they advised me that I would be a size 26 in the style that I was looking for. I went online and purchased the dress in that size in April 2020. I have not change in body size but maybe gained a few pounds, but when I received the dress it was about 2 to 3 times bigger on me and the quality of the chiffon was awful, did not look good and would not have purchased it if I would have known what the qualify of their chiffon really was.
So I went to another bridal store and got measured again and they told me that I was a size 20 to 22 depending on the style so not sure how the ladies at David's think that they can measure people correctly or is it that they make their monies on getting people to purchase dress in bigger styles so that they can collect monies on alterations. BAD on David's if that is how they run their business. Now to the bigger issue, due to COVID19, I understand that the stores closed but now that they are open, I am not able to return the dress to the store but have to mail back the dress, but can not get in touch with anyone via, telephone, text message, email so what are my options.
Called the store now twice and the store manager is a waste of time as she can not assist in any information and will not make any except to help customers return dress that were ordered wrong due to the information that the store had provided me. The store manager just kept telling me to keep trying all the things that I have done and wait for two weeks but explained than I would be passed my refund date and then what have dresses still with me and no refund.
The funny or not so funny thing is that I spoke with a store manager that used to work at David's Bridal and she stated that they did take in the dresses that were order online and refunded the customers. I do not understand why they are okay with taking my money and not refunding when a customer is unsatisfied with the product.
Their refund page online states the following: Your feedback has inspired us to do better. Our goal is to provide a stress-free shopping experience and make sure you love your purchase. If you change your mind before your event, we now offer free returns and exchanges. Here is my thoughts: if our feedback has inspired you to do better then reach out to the customers that I trying to get in touch with you and also if ordering online will not allow you to return to the stores if unsatisfied then change it so that your customers are satisfied. This just makes your business and customer service look bad when customers are looking for dresses on that special occasion. SHAME ON YOU, DAVID'S BRIDAL!

So I have already reached out to David’s Bridal through a server they asked me to complete via email on my experience. Never heard anything back from anyone. So then I looked online at reviews and seen that customers complaints were being replied to stating please send an email to the said email address. So I did this, and again got no email in return from anyone. So finally I facebooked messaged David’s bridal and finally got a response. To which I was told what happened to me was not acceptable and they would look further into the situation and asked for the location. I was then told I would be contacted.
The actual store called me at 6:45 pm. I missed the call and called back immediately. I was put on hold. And then asked who I was and wanted to speak to and was put on hold again. It was Alicia who the store manager was who called me but Shae picked up the phone instead saying she was the assistant and Alicia is just leaving so I will have to deal with her... Okay why call me at the very end of your day? And I called her back within the same minute... Talk about deflecting the situation (which is poor management.. If you cannot deal with confrontation you shouldn’t be in charge.). So Shae proceeded to tell me how terrible that was and she was sorry and all she could do was offer me to come back to the store to have a better experience?
I live three hours away, all of my girls live all over the place and it was hard enough to come into the store to begin with and that is why t day was planned long time in advance. We were all looking forward to that day. Then all she said was thank you for your feedback, she didn’t actually read the review because she didn’t know the situation and that this will be used for future training. I then asked her if she could rush my order as the dresses are coming in 6 days before The wedding. She then said, "no you have to come into the store so we can do it while you're here." I live 3 hours away. This is not possible for me. I asked her to call head office the following day and get something done for me and she said she could not. I asked for head office number and she wouldn’t give it to me. Finally she gave me a customer service number. This is absolutely ridiculous.... Here is my ORIGINAL COMPLAINT:
Now I would like someone to do something about this. Hello, I had an awful experience. I made my appointment a long time in advance and was told to get in there in a certain window of time. To which I did! When I got there, the lady only asked what my color was. She never asked me anything about me or my vision or anything. She rushed me through the entire process. I was unfortunately five minutes late due to all of the construction on Eglinton ave. I am from a small rural community so a heads up on major construction on that road that has apparently been going on for a couple of years would have been appreciated. I was then told that my dresses would not arrive until July the 19. I get married on July 25. So you could imagine the stress this has just added.
My sister who is my maid of honour lives 6 hours away and could not make it for the appointment due to horrible weather. I was going to make another appointment to get her in ASAP due to the circumstances so she could try dresses on, however after finding out we wouldn’t get our dresses until July 19 I had to order her a size 16 dress and hope it looks good on her and fits her. If it doesn’t I will be out of pocket money for a dress she wouldn’t even wear. I have three bridesmaids and one maid of honour. My vision was to have my girls in the same dress and my maid of honour in a different dress. Now they all have to be in the same dress because of this. My girls basically only tried on a few dresses and I was basically told to narrow it down between two dresses I didn’t even fully LOVE. I felt like I was a burden.
I am a genuine and kind person and I truly feel like I was trampled over and rushed through an appointment. Just so the lady could go on her lunch break. She said goodbye to us before we even bought our dresses all because she Was in a huge rush to get out of there. We weren’t even there a full hour! My niece who is a bridesmaid has severe anxiety, my other friend was helping her in and out of her dress in the change room and the sales associate kept getting angry with her because she kept saying she had to try dresses on too. My one friend had to tell her that she will try the dress on once we all pick one and that right now she just wanted to help her get in and out of the dress because she was gonna wear whatever the other two girls chose. The sales associate just kept being pushy and rushing us!
I was so excited to come to this appointment, and I felt absolutely defeated when I left. I had told my mom that when I got there I would make a separate appointment so I could bring her so she could find her dress. But unfortunately I don’t want to put her through that same scenario. Especially after driving all the way from Brighton Ontario to be treated like absolute crap. I’m not sure if my dresses will even look nice in my wedding day because of how late they are coming in. Six days before a wedding is not enough time to have alterations.
The lady who checked me out at the cash offered me alterations and then proceeded to tell me they need four weeks in advance to even do them... Why even offer me if you just told me they’d be in by July 19? All I got for an explanation was that they have changed the number of weeks for order from 14 to 23. So if they knew this and had my appointment booked for weeks, why wouldn’t somebody inform me of this change and then I could have made other arrangements and gone elsewhere?!
I feel as if I was rushed, all for a sale and my wedding day might turn out crappy all because my girls dresses won’t fit because they arrive six days before my wedding. After I drove two hours to get home after this horrible appointment all I could do was cry. I feel absolutely horrible. And this just added to my stress. My appointment was last weekend, I am not normally a person who leaves bad reviews or causes turmoil, I am a very nice person. But I have now received about three separate emails asking me to leave a review on my experience and now that’s it’s been a few days I have finally found the courage to write this review in hopes that this experience NEVER happens to anybody again. The sad part is, I couldn’t even tell you what my sales associates name was, that is how impersonal she was to me. And again I just felt like I was a burden being there, and she just wanted me to pick, pay and leave.

This has been ridiculous. My bridesmaid ordered her dress in a size 14 and was sent a 4. She called and they let her send it back and quickly sent a new one okay fine. She gets the new dress and there’s a tear in it!! So now she went in store and they’re going to send it back and get her another one shipped to the store and inspected for perfection. She had to go a size bigger and now has to get alterations because of the total incompetence of this company. You specialize in wedding; hence the name David’s BRIDAL. This shouldn’t be such a hassle! No wonder you’re in the process of bankruptcy.

A representative named Cheryl provided excellent customer service. She really took her time with me. Provided several dresses to see which one I feel comfortable in. I’m a plus size woman that is bottom heavy. On top is small but she knew exactly what would look right on me. That made a difference. More people need to be like her. In the beginning another representative help me but she walked away. Cheryl Came in at the right time with the right attitude. She didn’t give up on me. That’s what I’m not used to. She’s exceptional. More representatives need to be like her. Thank you will have a representative like Cheryl who is an asset to your company.

I wish I had never trusted David's Bridal but unfortunately it is too close to my wedding date to change company. The first problem was that my bridesmaids' measurements were never entered into computer, so when my bridesmaids went to order their dresses the measurements weren't there so they had to give their dress size and I was told by a manager that the adjustments would be taken care of. So the dresses come in and adjustments are needed of course but a different manager is saying that don't have that promise recorded anywhere and that the adjustments are not free. I am LIVID!! They not I should have to pay for adjustments when if measurements were recorded may not even need to be done! The second issue I had is that my veil and belt I picked out for my wedding gown were not recorded and now I have to find those again! DO NOT USE DAVID'S BRIDAL FOR YOUR SPECIAL DAY!

Please beware of purchasing online from David's Bridal. I purchased a dress in 2 sizes for my daughter not knowing what size would be the perfect fit for her. I read and followed the specific 4 step instructions on how to return an online purchase and sent one dress back as it did not fit her. I waited one month after returning the product as I still had not received the refund.
I called customer service. They stated unless I had a tracking number that their warehouse could look up they could not tell me if the dress was in their possession or not. Customer service stated that they could not confirm or deny that they had received the dress back. I asked to speak to the warehouse but was told there was no person there that could answer my question and without having the tracking number of the package I sent, they could not give a refund. The dress was sent back, no refund. I will check with local post office but this is very poor customer service. I do not think I will ever purchase from this company again. Not because I am out financially but because they did not care to attempt to make it right.

I returned a dress to David's Bridal via UPS. It was received by David's Bridal on 9/13/19. I have not received my refund yet. Everytime I call customer service, I am told that they will look into it and someone will call me back. I have not received a phone call back with an ETA on when I can expect to receive my refund. One customer service agent said there was a glitch in the system and all refunds approved on 9/19/19 were not issued. Another customer service agent said that my refund was sent to PayPal and that should call PayPal and my financial institution. I called PayPal and they said they have not received a refund from David's Bridal. My financial institution (Bank of America) said they have not received a refund from David's Bridal.
Today (10/7/19) I called David's Bridal to ask for a supervisor for the 4th time. The customer service agent advised this issue is on David's Bridal's side. Due to a glitch in the system, my funds were not transmitted. I was told there is a ticket open, but there is no ETA on resolution. This is unexceptable. I should not be inconvenienced due to David Briday's technical difficults. I have called David's Bridal 4 times to ask for a supervisor, however I have been unable to speak to a supervisor. The customer servants agents do not care because this does not impact them. Apparently the surpervisors do not care because it doesn't impact them either. Appears to me David's Bridal is holding my money hostage or trying to steal my money.

My daughter and I went to this location to try on the 2 dresses she liked. We did have an appointment. Upon arrival it took a few minutes for them to find our reservation. There was 1 woman there to help us, as well as three other sets of people. I met the store manager as well as the assistant manager, everyone was wonderful. SUPER friendly. We found THE dress and ordered it. We were told it would be in roughly 4 weeks because it was being ordered because it was 'brand new this year'.
2 weeks later we got a call the dress was in. My daughter went down and picked it up...to her discredit she did not try it on then and there. She tried it on the following weekend only to find that it wasn't straight from the manufacturer, it was obviously worn/tried on. There was quite a large area on the seam that wasn't sewed, as well as threading missing to keep her clasp closed.
She immediately called and they told her to come back, they would take care of it. They did...that being said the seamstress had said she had an 'awful time' finding the large gaping hole, she had 'to use a fine tooth comb' to search the entire gown. Ooookkkkaayyyyy. We are not talking an inch, we are talking more like 6-7 inches.
When we went back to retrieve it the store manager did not even acknowledge us, which was extremely disturbing. There was nooone in there, they were not busy, a quick apology would have been nice. I was furious. We got home, put the gown on and realized, we have buttons missing....If the seamstress went over it 'with a fine tooth comb' how in the world did she miss buttons? I am not a happy person. It wasn't like the gown was cheap. I paid way more than I wanted to. ;) But you do what you do for your children, right? Anyhow, that is our experience and I highly recommend going elsewhere. We will be having our alterations done elsewhere, that is for sure. They have received enough of my money and I am still dissatisfied. I will say, I have used them in the past for my oldest daughter (5 years ago) and we had zero issues. I just feel that this whole experience was bad from the get go..

I went to David's to look for a wedding dress as well as bridal party dresses. My first entry into the store I was greeted nicely but told no one could help me look at dresses without an appointment. They said to take pictures of tags that interested me during this first visit and to go to their site to make an appointment. I wasn't allowed to make appointment while in the store???
Then when I went back to the store with an appointment the assistant didn't help much. I picked out dresses and hauled them all to the changing area. They're in big plastic bags, with loops hanging over the hangers to hold them without ripping dresses. It takes a lot to get them off the hanger and back onto the hanger. My assistant did not offer to help. She didn't really provide any service beside that looks nice on you. I purchased one bridesmaid dress to show people and thought I'd be able to return it but THEY HAVE A NO RETURN POLICY FOR ANYTHING!!! They said I could get a store credit but we had found our outfits elsewhere so I'm stuck with the dress. I would not recommend this chain/store/website to anyone.

I am a bride who spent $1300 on my dress and accessories for my big day later in October 2019. My first initial visit in April 2019 was wonderful in the Wichita, KS location, went to look and found my dress. I walked out and was promised to have the dress in a month and a half or so. Got the call to pick up my dress late May, was given my dress in the white bag I purchased. I was shown a partial view of the dress, didn’t try it own, left on my way. I drive one hour as I live in another town.
I tried on my wedding dress July 2019, was way too big than before, immediately called the store freaking out and was scheduled by the manager in a week to take the dress, try it on and possibly do a complimentary size exchange. The day of my appointment, I arrived with dress in tow, was shown to the back and told to put dress on and the sales associate would return to zip up the dress. Walked out and was told to wait standing on a side mirror until someone came since all the other areas were full. The same associate who helped me zip the dress returns 5 minutes later, looks at me and tells me there’s NO reason I should do a size exchange as to not lose the detail on the high neck. The dress is clearly and visibly too BIG specially around my stomach and bust area, mind you I’m a 40 F chest size and a somewhat small waist, but was given a plus size 18 dress! This is not how it was when I first tried it on and felt in love!
I was reprimanding myself in my mind as to why I didn’t try it on once it arrived! As the girl mentions again that the dress can be “taken in here and there” and would cost me the same amount in alterations as to exchanging for one (I was told complimentary) I asked to speak to the alterations manager. She said she would call her and left. The alterations manager came and as soon as she saw me said I needed a smaller size because if she would to alter around my bust, waist, sides and back it would mean the dress would be destroyed and I might as well get one size down. I agreed, and she told the same sales associate I needed a size exchange (thank you ma’am!) and was able to order it again and wait for one month for it to arrive.
I scheduled an alterations fitting the same day it will arrive because I will need a bustle as well and I’m just scared it won’t fit either. I don’t know how much alterations will cost and was told it will be discussed at the appointment and payment is expected in full. I’m sorry, I will not go broke if I don’t agree with all the work it will “need” and if I don’t like something I will let them know. I’m giving them a chance again as I’m so close to the wedding date it’s so stressful to be without a dress I envisioned myself with. On the website online it mentions you will get a written up alterations list with prices as to see if it’s affordable before paying and I will be holding them accountable when I go back in.
Early June 2019, bridesmaids found a dress at the Park Meadows location in Denver, CO. One left with a dress paid in full, the other ordered it July 2019. Fast forward, first bridesmaid dress was very wrinkly upon arrival and was told alterations can only be scheduled one month before. This was NOT what they mentioned at first, gave them a chance and she will be returning in September. Second bridesmaid who is also my sister, went back in to order the dress. Arrived in one month. This is a $200 Vera Wang dress we’re talking about, upon arriving was not acknowledged at all and was made felt like she wasn’t worth interacting with. She was given the dress in a RIPPED clear bag and very WRINKLY!! She was not asked if she wanted to try it on! Seriously?? She ended up trying the dress on, the lady who helped her only came back to zip the dress up and left, didn’t say a word to her.
I will be attaching pictures to show how horrible of a condition the dress was given it. I’m SO disappointed I will not be shopping here or recommending again!! Over $1700 wasted on horrible experiences and that’s not counting what I will end up paying for my wedding dress alterations!! My mother and MIL still need dresses, we will be going elsewhere.

We chose David’s Bridal because we live in San Diego and our daughter lives by Reno. We flew her down to us and did the first appointment here. It was fabulous! Then she received her dress before the estimated date, also fabulous! Then she took it to David’s Bridal in Reno for the fitting. It was too tight and bunching so they ordered another size. It came, she went, not right, ordered another size. It came, she went, still not right, ordered another size, starting to panic because this is eating up time. The one she tried on at the store actually fit so not sure why they were getting the wrong size.
This time the lady ordered one two sizes too big. It came but much too big and we only have a week until the ceremony! They told her not to worry it would be done in time but she had to give them the dress that day and pay for the alterations to be done in time. She called me crying because it was $661.00! They literally had her dress hostage. We had no time and no choice. Not sure why they didn’t take some measurements or why they had to reorder so many times. But we definitely got charged an insane amount! DO NOT USE THEM! The customer service was awful! I did try to call to dispute the amount but got nowhere, even from corporate. My advice would be to try on there, find a style you like and order on Amazon. Then take it to an actual seamstress and get fitted properly.

Very misleading. I guess it's buyer beware and ask up front about alterations! Plus all of the dresses were way too long to begin with. Are all bridal shops like this? I wonder if David's Bridal contracts out for the seamstress and they set their own prices!?

I have had a retail nightmare with these guys. The women who work here are snotty and uncaring. They are easily frustrated and will cop an attitude. Very little professionalism here. I bought my gown at the Albany NY store. My first appointment I was stoked. I had my favorite dresses in hand and was ready to try them on. I had like 4 or 5 dresses I loved. After I tried them on the stylist started bringing me similar dresses that were WAY more expensive. By the 15th dress I was exhausted and overwhelmed and picked a dress I thought was great at the time. I put 500$ down on it and it was out on layaway. They give you 90 days to pay it off. What they don't tell you is that once you swipe that card it is undoubtedly ALL David's Bridal money now! Zero refunds regardless of any situation you may be going through.
About two weeks later (thank God my MOH took pics of me in all the dresses) I called and told them I was unsure and wanted to retry on a dress or two that I was in love with. The original dress I picked was a or at all right for my body type. They gave me a bit of an awkward attitude about it but since the dresses I was trying on we're a few hundred more I wasn't given an issue. Picked THE dress. It was absolutely the one. FFW a few weeks later the dress becomes discontinued and goes on sale for 300$ less. I called the store and asked them to honor the sale and it was like pulling teeth. I didn't cave and they eventually did but not without teeth and claws out.
The store manager was snotty during my final transaction. She only gave me one day to finish paying the full amount off an entire month early. If they were going to honor the sale amount it would only be within that time frame. I WILL NEVER buy another item from these guys and I urge you not to either. And the dress I did purchase ended up being a showroom dress that everyone and their mother has tried to fit into. No I did not get any discount for that either. Keep searching for a better place to buy, these people are uncaring thieves.

I ordered a bridesmaid dress that was special order and was told it would 100% be on time for the big event even though it wasn’t in stock. The day came and I found the dress on my doorstep, only to find it was the wrong dress. Not even close to what I ordered. So I got ahold of customer service explaining the situation. They sent me return forms and made sure that was squared away, but then they couldn’t even find the original dress I had ordered! And they told me that now there was no way I could get it in time. So I had to consult with the bride and we had to find another dress. Luckily we found one they had in stock and I got it ordered. The company gave me 20% off because of the mishap, which I appreciated.
It’s been a week since the wrong dress was sent back but I still hadn’t seen a refund posted into my account yet. So today I got ahold of customer service to ask when it would be processed. Come to find out it could be another 2 weeks before I get my money back! I understand that mistakes are made but the fact is that right now I have right under $400 wrapped up in dresses from this company... but don’t actually have a dress in my possession. So frustrating since I have kids to feed and bills to pay. I live in a small town hours from the closest store so that’s not really an option to go shop in store. I just wish that they could’ve even possibly sent my new dress for free. Ugh.

David's Bridal offers a lot of options for both wedding dresses and bridesmaids. It is designed to be the perfect go to store, but when you have poor management it will ruin a business, and fast. 3 times I have needed to use them and all three times it was a mess. But this last time was bad enough for me to write a review about it. First time = they got my friends wedding date wrong after asking for it to be changed multiple times. Second time = After learning that lesson when it was time for my wedding I lied about my wedding date and made it a month ahead of time. They still messed up on ordering my brides maids dresses for my wedding. Third time = my best friends wedding, the did not even measure her for ordering her wedding dress!! She's never been married and the person helping her should know better since she didn't. I wasn't there because I was at work.
When we go to pick it up the lady at the front was AWFUL she asked my friend what she was there for then got her dress and just handed it to her, NOT how it works ladies! Everyone knows you try it on, make sure it fits, make sure its the right size, etc. She was just plain rude, a bride is excited and to have the greeter at the door be like that just means they don't need to be working there because it wasn't the only time she was like this. Once we tried on the dress and saw it didn't fit I told the lady about, also told her how my friend is crying and why it was a horrible experience... she did NOT care. She literally said to me, "Well she didn't ask to try it on." Um no honey, she shouldn't have to! Then I got the Manager Destiny involved, and OMG that got me real far, NOT! She did not care either, my friend is literally in tears and all they said is, "Oops I'll re-order it for you and hope it comes in time for your wedding."
Since this was the dress my friend wanted she had no option and no help from David's Bridal's end either. Just a slap on the hand and move on type thing. So Destiny measured my friend and ordered a new dress. So we go to try on the second dress when it came in, same nasty lady up front that was a horrible greeter! And guess what! AGAIN the dress did NOT fit! And my friend lost 10 pounds!! TEN! The ONLY reason we didn't say screw all of it is because of a SWEET alteration lady in the back that was friendly and helped us.
Come to find out after speaking with some of the employees about our frustrations, Destiny the manager is cousins with the lady that works up front that is a horrible greeter, not only that but they are both racist and they treat not only employees that work there like crap but the customers too! These girls need to be fired a person that actually cares about their job needs to be hired! People like those girls are what ruins a companies reputation!

The dress I purchased had to be ordered because they did not have the size in stock (because apparently everyone else is my size as well.). This dress can EASILY be placed on the sales rack in their store and be sold in a day. HOWEVER, I called and learned that they will not return the dress for me!!! WHAT?? The dress hasn't even been delivered to the store yet, it can easily be sold on the sales floor, and we certainly haven't altered the dress one bit!! And I can't get my money back?!?! Poor sales ethics in my book.
PLEASE DO NOT PLAN TO PURCHASE A DRESS FROM DAVID'S BRIDAL if you have any reservations about the dress what-so-ever!!! Our bride to be had certain styles in mind and Loussa brought them for her to try on. Loussa answered my questions, and there was a lot, with grace. The gown my daughter picked was not what we were expecting but was just the perfect gown for her. Bells were rung, tears were shed and the gown was bought. Next we were looking for bridesmaids dresses. Ever had to get 4 women to agree on a style? After much trying and debate, Loussa came through once more. By the way when I paid for the gown my husband got a notification of the charge. He thought it was just a down payment! The gown was that inexpensive with the sale. Thank you Loussa!

I went to David's Bridal with my daughter in early January to look for a bride dress. She found the dress she wanted. We were told she needed a size 8. The dress was ordered and we were told early March. We were very excited when we got the call that the dress was in. We went back to the store to try dress on and it was too small, my daughter could not even get the dress on. So now we have to order the same dress in a 10. The dress comes in early May, we go try the dress on and it did fit but the dress was damaged. The netting had holes in it. I was told David's will alter the dress. I paid for a new dress not an altered dress. I wanted to order another dress. I was told the dress is discontinued and on sale.
I was given the David's credit for the difference. So I agree to do the alterations because my daughter loved the dress. So now we come back to the store end of May to pick up dress and the dress is still damaged. I have to wait in the store for them to complete the alterations. And then I am told I have to use my credit that day. We get a veil and could not find anything else. After an hour in the store trying to find things, I grabbed 2 spanx and a pair of shoes. Both the spanx are not in my size, you did not have my size in the store and the shoes I will never wear. This was not a happy time for us. It was a disaster from the very beginning. No one should have to go through this.

It was also wonderful to be able to purchase foundational garments and accessories to coordinate with the gown, such as jackets/boleros and lace to enhance the modesty of the gown while maintaining its character and beauty. We did not have an appointment, as I was unaware of this standard, yet Becky and the other staff pulled gowns and accessories and made suggestions, all the while knowing that the bride arrived with an outside gown. The bride’s family was able to make an informed decision, and was very satisfied with the items they chose. They were impressed with the service and selection.

Sadly, they did NOT treat my daughter fairly... In fact they started out by trying to say her order was a non-wedding event (she is a bridesmaid), then they claimed no other bridesmaid got a refund (the bride changed dresses for the girls)...then admitted they had given others in the bridal party a refund (just only the ones who picked their dresses up six months late). My daughter respected the bride, got her dress when the bride requested her to, went to exchange it (per the bride's request AND the bride was told this was allowed up to 6 weeks prior to the wedding) and David's would not honor their commitment to what they told the bride... Yet other bridesmaids (the ones who waited 6 months to get their dresses) got the money back for the first dress.
What a way to encourage bridesmaids to ignore the bride's wishes. Between the staff being dishonest in their dealings AND upper corporate stonewalling, there is no way I would use them again... And I have three young adult unmarried daughters. It just makes me sad. Be careful what store you use within a chain! I know I won't ever recommend, nor use David's Bridal in Novi... I wish I would have checked the BBB prior to our sad run-in with their lack of customer service we experienced in Novi - no wonder that location gets an F by the BBB. The women that helped me was VERY RUDE and unpleasant. She kept rushing me every time I'd ask for something different to try on or just question her about an interest I had. She would tell me she had no time for that because she thought I was late and then I explain to her that I was on time. She kept rushing me even after I told her I was on time. I asked her to change the belt on my dress and she sighed.
I also called yesterday concerning my dress because I'm a bit unsatisfied with it and her response to me was everything will be ok, she refused to listen to me. This morning I called the Manager of the store to explain to her my situation and she said, "Let find out who did your alteration on Saturday and I will call you back in 15 minutes to see what I can do for you" and I'm still waiting for the call back. As a an excited soon to be bride I should of had the best experience ever purchasing and fitting into my dress. But unfortunately my experience at that store wasn't the best and the employee needs to be a nice and more considerate.

I wasn't going to complain about my visit to the Hamilton store on March 13th at 12 pm. Not until I received an email saying you missed me at my appointment. I am not sure why because I was there with my daughter Kiana trying to find a prom dress. But I do know that we were ignored so maybe that's why. You see I went to seek help, but two groups of employees were just talking to each other. When a customer looks like they need assistance, but does not want to interrupt anyone, your employees should notice! They didn't however. My daughter wanted the XSCAPE 577X dress, but your store had only a size 10. They called other stores for a smaller size, but she said there were none. I got home to find a size 4 available in the US. But I will not deal with your store. I have a wedding coming up next spring, and I will not shop for dresses at your store. I am sending a copy of this message to Customer service head office.

I'm getting married in April 2019 and I bought my dress here at David's Bridal. I was IN LOVE with this dress. I went in for my first fitting and it had to be taken out, which I was assured wasn't a problem. I had my second fitting on the 9th of March and when I went it to try it on I had the worst experience ever. I put the dress on and it didn't lay right. We decided it needed to be taken back in in certain areas. But the lady helping us made the comment "but we just took it out", making me believe that getting the dress to fit me properly was an inconvenience. The buttons on the back of my dress also didn't lay down. You could see the zipper (the buttons were supposed to lay flat and cover the zipper) and when my mom mentioned that the lady helping us said nothing could be done about it. My mom requested the manager come in the room.
When the manager came in she proceeded to tell my mom that nothing could be done about the buttons and that maybe we just ordered the wrong size and that if it wasn't so tight on me then the dress would fit. Now I'm 5'3 and 180 pounds. I'm a LITTLE overweight. My weight wasn't the problem and even if it was it should have NEVER BEEN MENTIONED. What kind of customer service is that??? My mom suggested a simple solution to get the buttons to lie down. Button Loops. But the manager said that she couldn't do anything about the buttons. She wasn't even willing to try!
My mom was very upset that we spent all this money on this dress and they couldn't be bothered to alter the dress to fit me! I was SO HUMILATED. Not only did the manager refuse to help, she basically called me fat. I had a hard time not bursting out in tears while still there when what should have been an incredibly happy time for me and my mother. Now I have to go back for a THIRD fitting and still will have to take my dress somewhere else between now and the wedding to get button loops put on the dress so the buttons lay down. I'm not one to leave nasty reviews, but I had the share this experience because it was downright humiliating and horrible.

I was in need of a bridesmaid dress for my cousin’s wedding. My consultant Nichole ** was not only professional, but extremely knowledgeable of their products and what styles would work best for my body type. She helped me find the perfect dress, and it came in earlier than the scheduled time which was a huge relief! Couldn't have asked for anyone better.

My name is Jason and my wife came into this so called once in a lifetime time experience store and to say the least it was by far that! They were well overbooked. My wife never ever had any help. They were too busy helping other people when she had that time slot for her big day. She called and scheduled with David's Bridal. They still acted like she was not there! She put a small downpayment on her dress and left in tears and I had to come to see a great big smile when I dropped her off to seeing her crying her eyes outstanding in front of the store!
About two weeks later we come up with the rest of the money for the dress so we drive back down to this DAVID'S BRIDALS STORE. My wife goes in to get her dress and to make sure I don't get to see her dress. She stands in front of the customer counter waiting patiently for well over 25 damn minutes. The workers there was walking the other people right in front of my wife like she was not even standing there. She finally gets someone to help her. She pays the rest of the bill and they go to get her dress and THEY BRING THE DAMN THING OUT IN A CLEAR BAG for the world to see her dress. She asked about the white bag she WAS PROMISED to keep her dress clean and so her husband can't see it they then charged my wife $15.00 for the white bag.
In my opinion you are by far the worst store every to open!!! You take this once in a lifetime experience and crushed it for all woman that come through your STORE!!! It's very sad David's Bridal store use to be very good when I was a child. I remember my grandma going to you guys too get married and could not stop talking about how great you was to her. Now that times have changed David's Bridal seems to have changed to something very nasty and mean when it's suppose to be amazing for woman. I WILL NEVER EVER SEND ANYONE TO YOUR STORES. NEVER. I'LL TELL EVERYONE HOW HORRIBLE YOU ALL ARE.

First off, this is not about the people that work for a certain store, but about the customer service line, and policies. I contacted David's Bridal to see about changing my due date due to a new pay period I was placed on. I have all my bills broken up by check and have done that for years. They give you an option to change your due date online so I requested a due date change. It said, "At this time you're not eligible." (again proving you can change the due date). I thought it odd since I have been a valuable customer for over a year and never one made a late payment or missed a payment.
I waited a few more months and made some changes and messaged them again, I got the same response. I called customer service and was told that they do not allow customer's due date changes ever and every single person has the same due date. I find this very hard to believe, then why did the message say that it was just denied for the moment? I asked to speak to a someone higher up and was placed on hold for over 10 minutes, then the phone disconnected. I did not get a return call. I called back and then kept getting hung up on. I cannot believe this and that a simple due date change has caused so many issues and that it is being refused. I have told all my friends about this that are getting married and NONE of them will be using David's Bridal because of how ridiculous this is and they don't want the same issues. I will be cutting up my card up as soon as it is paid off and NEVER using it again.

Hello, I am getting married in a year and had my first bridal appointment made with David's Bridal in Mobile, Alabama. I cannot say anything bad about appointments because they took me right in, but I had shown my consultant some pics of styles and dresses I loved as well as ones on the floor show room that I liked and she never pulled the ones I liked. Instead she pulled similar ones to the ones I liked in sizes much too small for me after I told her my dress size. I couldn't get a feel for any of the dresses due to lack of correct sizing plus I had a bride next to me wanting to borrow all the dresses I was trying on and got all my dresses mixed in with hers and the ones I liked ended up disappearing into her pile instead.
I couldn't get good focus on my appointment because there was too much going on and everyone just asked how I rated the dress in terms of how likely am I to buy that dress. They didn't care if I felt bridal in it they just wanted my money. Also just recently learned they may be going bankrupt or are already. They tried to force me into buying my veil along with my dress by telling me the veils were only on sale for that day. Which is not true because the veils are almost always on sale all the time online. I did not purchase from there. I told them my budget was 1200 and they put me in a dress I loved that was 2000. I went to I Do Bridal instead and said yes to my dress for 1300 dollars instead. Much better choice.

I wanted to share about the awful and hurtful experience I had. I don’t like leaving negative reviews because I know the effect they can have, but unfortunately, this issue was not resolved, nor did they attempt to resolve it. Myself and 5 other bridesmaids have purchased dresses from David’s Bridal in Scarborough, ON. When we tried on dresses I chose to purchase a dress smaller than my size at the time. I tried on the size that I wanted to order and it fit. Although it was tight, it still zipped all the way and fit. This was September. The wedding is in February. When I received the dress in December it did not fit. It is not the same size as the one I tried on in the store.
I went back on December 28 to address this issue. I went with my sister and a friend who was going to have her dress altered. Before speaking to anyone, I tried on the black sample dress to make sure that I was not mistaken. After all it could have been that I gained weight. It fit. As it did when I chose to purchase that size. I tried on the one that I was given (biscotti) and it did not fit. We spent several hours trying to come to a solution but the staff was extremely rude. They basically told me I could steam it and try to stretch it out. The material the dress is made out of does not stretch. It is 100% Polyester. I felt like I was treated like an idiot and that was not okay. Their solution was to have it altered to add a corset. That would have been fine, however, they provided no assistance and wanted me to pay the full price for it ($100).
This was NOT my fault. It was a mistake on DB’s side. The dress I was given IS NOT the same as the one I tried on. The excuse given to me is that the sample one is stretched. If that is the case it should be swapped out for one that fits properly. This is unacceptable. The manager and store manager went on to state that it was my fault because my measurements read a different size. I found this EXTREMELY rude and shameful. What they were indicating was that I was too fat for that dress and it is my fault for choosing a dress that doesn’t fit me. I was body shamed. I was belittled. I was bullied. I was ganged up on by staff. It made me feel extremely insecure and hurt. The fact that I did not lose the weight is none of their business and it has nothing to do with the issue. The issue is I did not receive what I purchased.
Again, they blamed me for not having gone with the size they said, which, when I tried on suggested size they had to pin it everywhere because it was so big. The store manager went on to state that she would try and contact corporate to see if they could do anything about the alterations. She did not want to do anything herself to reduce the price or comp it or meet us halfway. I had my friend speak to everyone for me as I was extremely angry and hurt. I did not want to make a scene and felt my friend was extremely calm and tried to de-escalate the situation while DB employees were escalating it, being rude and raising their voice stating the dresses are made from a standard outline. I understand that. However, I did not receive what I purchased. The dress I purchased zipped up. The one I was given does not.
Before leaving, the store manager said she would contact my friend after the new year with an update. We asked for a date and was told by January 2nd. We never heard back from her. My friend called multiple times and left messages. She was finally contacted on January 9th at around 7pm and told there was nothing they could do. I was able to locate an email for DB directly and informed them of what had occurred (exactly what I am posting here). I was contacted and it was reiterated that there was nothing they could do because the size I bought was not the size I was when I purchased the dress.
I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. They do not care about customers or customer satisfaction. This issue could have EASILY been resolved by helping me out with the alterations. After all, the seamstress is paid salary and it would have literally not costed them a cent. I am shocked that this issue escalated to what it did and no effort was made on their part. I have worked in retail and have a friend who owns a retail store and this is not acceptable. It is so hurtful and disappointing.

I will start from the beginning. This has been an ongoing situation and I am very upset. This is my first time getting married and call me crazy, but I don’t think the dress experience is supposed to be like this. I tried on and purchased the dress in Aug 2018. The dress on the floor was a size 14. It fit like perfection. Per the alterations lady, I was talked into a larger size. She assured me that she can fit the dress as needed. Price for alterations would be approximately $300. There was drama from the beginning and honestly I wish that I never did business with this company. I am disgusted with the situation.
After calling and being on the phone about the delivery date several times, the dress was in. The month of December the dress came in, just as I said the dress was HUGE! I was very upset as I think anyone would be. But putting my trust in the alterations lady (again), I made an appt. When I came back for my first fitting, the dress again very much too large. She put in two cups in the top and added some straps. Not the look I was going for. Soon into the appt I was told that the dress cannot be taken in where it needs to be. So it will never look like the dress that I tried on. The dress I feel in love with.
After a little while of me being upset one of the bridesmaids suggest that I try on the size 14 that is on the floor. So I did and it fit like perfection. Just as it was supposed to. The reason why I loved and purchased the dress. I was told that a new size 14 could not be ordered in time for my wedding. So I settled on a used dress. A dress that isn’t even the shade that I ordered. A dress that has been tried on by who knows how many other people. The in store manager at this time told me that they will give me $400 towards alterations. After the store associates re ringing up the price, I was told that I still owed $28 for alterations.
So confused and pissed off at this point I paid and move. At this point I am so irritated. I am not sure what to do. I have been offered $100 in store credit. I CANNOT USE IN STORE CREDIT. NOR DO I WANT IT! Something about this situation needs to be fixed. I want some of my money back. This situation was not my fault and now I’m screwed because there is no time to order a new dress. I feel completely screwed by this company. They took away all the fun and happiness of this situation.

I purchased a dress from this company, brought it home and hung it up in a closet. My fiance and I decided to postpone our wedding so we could buy our first home. At the same time we have changed the original plans for our big day from the traditional wedding to something much smaller and on a beach in the summer, which a giant ballgown won't work for. This company now will not let me EXCHANGE the dress that I previously purchased for another dress of equal or even GREATER value after I was lied to over the phone by not only a representative but also the manager. The sales representative lied to me regarding the exchange policy as well as the manager lied to me saying that the dress that I purchased is an inactive model WHILE I was looking at it for sale on their website for the same amount of money that I had purchased it for. All they care about is their profits NOT about making sure that brides feel beautiful on their special day!

To make a very long story short: David's Bridal will attempt to sell you a used dress if you purchase a new dress online and they are out in the warehouse. After ordering a new dress online but never receiving it, I spoke with an extremely rude customer service rep. She proceeded to tell me that they were out of the dress in the warehouse and that they were trying to find this dress in the "best condition possible" to send to me. To that my questions were, Why wasn't I made aware of this? Why haven't I been asked if this is even acceptable? Will I still be paying the same amount as if it were brand new? She had no answers for me so I asked to speak to a manager. Of course I was told they were too busy at the moment.
Next I spoke with corporate customer service to a manager who smoothed everything over and assured me that a NEW dress was coming my way overnight. She went on this long spiel about how they would never send a used dress to a customer who purchased new. When the dress arrived, it was covered in hair and lint. The edges were picked and frayed and there was makeup in the lining. The dress had been tried on so many times that this dress (that I purchased a size smaller than my norm) fit like it was 2 sizes bigger.
When I called corporate back and spoke with another manager they said that it is common procedure to send a 'try on' dress from a store when they are out in the warehouse... Really??? Blatantly lie to the customer and try to pull off that it is a new dress!?? At least the rude customer service rep told the truth. Corporate lied to attempt to make more money off something that had been tried on who knows how many times. I am thankful that I hated the dress overall when it got there, or I would have been more upset that they couldn't provide what was promised; cheap material, terribly made. I knew giving David's Bridal a chance was a horrible idea but I was hoping to be wrong. I will never shop here again, I will never recommend this company and I will make sure to let every bride I work with know not to waste their time or money.

She called David's Bridal and they told her there was nothing they could do for her. So now she "THE BRIDE" gets to buy 2 new dresses. They were nice enough to tell her that those dresses are on sale now and also free shipping this Month. I am heartbroken for her. This is suppose to be a special time... They should have come in sturdy boxes and not some flimsy little plastic bag... Not to mention, they should have had the delivery set up for a signature. No stars for you David's Bridal.

Ladies, there are too many service oriented bridal and formal wear stores who want to make your wedding experience exceptional, instead of stressful, costly and a horrific experience. I simply ordered a gown (Mother-of-the-Groom) to wear to my son's wedding. The dress fit well and looked nice. With a wedding event, one typically does not wait until 2-3 weeks before the date to order a dress. As such, I ordered the dress 8-weeks in advance, planning to wear the dress. My email order confirmation DID NOT STATE a Return Policy of 14-28 days!!!
My lovely daughter-in-law upon arriving instate for the wedding, showed some disappointment with the color of my dress (midnight blue) due to the color of tuxes and other items. As a good mother-in-law to be, I went and found another dress that actually worked better. BUT GUESS WHAT, David's Bridal will not accept the return. I wish I would have read their return policy online, though I had no reason to plan on making a return. THEIR POLICY SHOULD BE ON EVERY ORDER CONFIRMATION as all other retail stores present - not buried in their website.
Lord & Taylor, Macy's, Nordstrom, Von Maur, Dillard's - they all take 60-day returns, plus. What I really wish I would have READ before ordering from David's, are ALL the TERRIBLE ONLINE REVIEWS and their HORRIFIC RATING of a 1-star. Maybe it's time for us to go to the State Trade Commission for fraudulent advertising and service. It seems MANY, MANY individuals have been scammed, taken advantage of and paid high costs for returns (read the 200+ reviews). Congrats to all the credible, customer stores, which David's is not. Oh, and if you want to speak with a supervisor - no way. They'll call you back in 72-hours, but never do. David's has become a scam retailer, much worse than a scam landlord. Shame on David's. Ladies, work with an organization that respects and VALUES you a customer!!!

My review sent to David's Bridal: "I am from Canada, we called and were told they would ship a dress to Canada therefore we booked our appointment. This is 1 person saying you ship to Canada. On Sunday November 4th, we had a appointment at the David's Bridal store mentioned above (I had submitted a review with the online link that was provided regarding our in store visit, we waited 30 mins for our consultant, we were forgotten about... I don't even want to get into this part since it seems so meaningless now with what happened with our dresses). We were greeted, information was finally taken (again telling the lady at the entrance booth I am from Canada and so excited, etc...).
This is the 2nd person confirming the shipping to Canada and how David's Bridal has a store in Canada, etc... After myself and my maid of honor picked the dress, our consultant informed us it's from the "special occasions collection." She instructed us to not order online and order from the store because in the case of a issue with the dress, we could deal with the store directly and not online customer service. Therefore, we followed her "Expertise" and proceeded with her instructions. She was well informed the entire time that I am from Canada, she confirmed that I was no issue to ship to Canada, etc... She had even went and consulted with a manager to see what our best option was since our other bridesmaid was at home (in Canada). They told us to grab her measurements and come back to place the dress orders and the dress would be ordered and shipped to her home.
This is not the 4th and 5th (a manager) confirming shipping to Canada. The following Saturday November 10th, we returned to the store (that is 2 hours away) and met with a different lady who met us at the cash since we had the measurements and were ready to order all the dresses. My maid of honor paid first and then I paid on behalf of the bridesmaid who was not there. She also said that it was no problem for shipping, she consulted with the worker beside her and they said it was complimentary shipping. She wrote the CANADIAN address down for shipping purpose.
This is 6th and 7th person confirming you ship to Canada. On Friday November 23rd I received a phone call from David's Bridal MN Roseville store confirming the dress has arrived to the store and it was being shipped. She wanted to confirm the address, therefore for the 2nd time we confirmed the mailing address. "It will be on its way" is what was confirmed and said.
This is the 8th person confirming it is being shipped to Canada. On November 27th, I received a call from "Ashley" saying "We don't ship to Canada!"... How... How does this make any sense. I explained to her everything, everyone we talked to, everything that happened. I have phone records of when they called me, everything was confirmed, paid for... this is why we did this. She is the one who called me on Friday to confirm my address in Canada and confirmed the dress was being shipped... now all of a sudden "it's against our policy to ship internationally". I would have NEVER wasted anyone's time let alone my own time and money to get to MN from CANADA if you didn't ship to Canada! This was the entire point of going there and picking out and buying the dresses!
The manager Ashley who informed me she was a "newer manager" wanted to consult with a expert manager therefore assured me my call would be returned shortly. I am panicking, these dresses have been paid and picked out, my colors and tuxes were all ordered around the color of these dresses... normal bride panic mode... I waited a very impatient and worrisome 30 minute for a call back with a resolution. No call back, therefore I had to take the initiative and called the store and was informed by a consultant that "Ashley went home". Horrible, she knew this situation and what was happening and for her not to find a resolution and to leave this??? Now this poor staff member has to pick up my frantic phone call and deal with this mess? She didn't know the entire situation.
Ashley just left? How does this make any sense? That was very unprofessional and bad customer service on Ashley's part. The staff member had no explanation for us as to why this happened and no better resolution. I just wanted the dress to be sent to Canada, it was simple. I don't want to be rude but why can't the dress be put in a box and shipped to Canada even if it needs to be shipped from someone's house or a different store? Why can't you ship to the David's Bridal in Toronto and they can ship to my house? Why weren't these resolutions being explored? Nothing.
It's easy to refund and turn a blind eye. It is not my fault that the information given was so wrongly. I simply needed the dress to be shipped. I was given a excuse about it's against the policy for the store to ship with UPS, etc... Dresses were picked out, waiting for the arrival. I am so unimpressed with this experience and everything it has caused. The staff member really need to be educated. We have voices and social media is a wonderful platform therefore we will keep spreading the word of this horrible experience with David's Bridal. It was a simple solution... mail the dress... we were offered a store credit, what good is that? YOU won't ship me what I purchase?!"

The manager was knowledgeable and the sales girl was clearly learning and they were both kind. Two things happened that will cause me to never use David's Bridal or refer friends. Richmond, VA Broad Street Store... 1) They convinced me to apply for a 6-month no interest credit line. I applied having a 792 credit score and a 100% payment record on all debts. I was denied in the store in public earshot of others. They could not explain to me why the denial and the next morning on television I would learn that David's Bridal was in Chapter 11 bankruptcy. They still contend that Commodity, the credit agency made the determination and it has nothing to do with David's Bridal.
2) I did not ask but assumed that alterations came with the purchase of the dress. I purchased a dress for over $1,300.00 and I did not know to ask about alterations. After coming in for alteration and working with the seamstress, I was given a bill for a little under $500.00. I was shocked. Never again and no referrals and I am a minister that counsels lots of couples.

I went to David's Bridal in Totowa, NJ to try on bridesmaids dresses for a June wedding. The saleswomen, Woodline, was very pleasant. She helped me pick out a few dresses to try on. Unfortunately many of them were not available in my size, 14. She took smaller ones and clipped them on to me to get an idea, but larger ones were not available either to get a better idea. A size 14 dress that was available had no clasp and broken zipper, so couldn't get a good idea of fit from that either. Without really trying anything on in my size I did not feel comfortable purchasing anything. It also made me question the quality since the one they did have was broken. Since the selection was aimed at smaller sizes, any bridesmaid that was size 14 or more could not really try anything on. It was a shock since they carry up to size 24, and very awkward.
People had been talking about DB going bankrupt so that they are probably not getting new dresses in to try on. While I understand the difference between ch. 11 and ch. 7, financial issues made sense with what I was seeing in the store selection and quality, so I believed it. I called the DB in Paramus to see what they had to try on. They had a dress I wanted in my size as well as others that I could try on too. I headed straight there. Christina who was fitting me in Paramus said that I am one of the most common sizes so there were lots of options.
I found a great dress and was so glad to order it. I spoke with the cashier, Alicia, as I was checking out and expressed how grateful I was that they had so many options to try on and explained my disappointment with the size selection in Totowa. I attributed it to the bankruptcy and she was shocked. About an hour later she called me and said she was so shocked by the experience I had in Totowa that she wanted more information to be able to contact the district manager. I gave her the information she requested and offered to speak with whomever she thought necessary about my experience.
I then received a call from the district manager who was unapologetic about the sizing issues and quality. She explained that other bridal shops carry a size 2 and you just hold it up, so at least they offer more options than that. She went on to say that different dresses are shipped to different stores so their selection is random. She specifically cited an experience where a bride called ahead to try on a dress and they sold it 2 hours before she arrived. This was to further her point that they are not responsible for the try on selection, however I felt terrible for the bride and was shocked that they wouldn't even hold a dress that was held for an appointment. Her main point for even calling me was to tell me they aren't going bankrupt and that they are just restructuring. She wanted to make sure an employee didn't say otherwise. Which they didn't, CNN did.
When you have bridesmaids standing around because they are apparently too big to be fit in a DB at a size 14, it doesn't matter whether you are going bankrupt or not. The customer experience should be a priority. My concern and experience meant nothing to even the district manager, she clearly just wanted to make sure an employee didn't mention bankruptcy. Never even pretended to be apologetic. Glad to be done with this franchise.

The ladies there are super nice and very helpful. The night before my mom's wedding, we went up to look at her dress and there were pins in her dress from alterations. My mom spent over $200 dollars plus tip to get her dress perfect for her special day. I won't be going to David's Bridal to get my dress altered, and now my bridesmaids are complaining about their dresses being too big from what they told the lady helping us when I picked out my dress. I don't recommend going to David's Bridal to pick out a wedding dress. I don't regret my dress but I won't be finding pins on my dress the night before my wedding.

Most of us figured out our sizes and went to register to order and young lady was very helpful and pleasant. Manager needs to be a little more pleasant to customers.

My daughter was in a wedding with a strapless gown. When she went for alterations at the Tonawanda, NY store, Emily did her measurements for the alterations. At the time both my daughter and I mentioned to Emily that the top was really large. Emily said, "Oh no, when you get the cups on, it will be okay." So since neither one of us sews, we took her word for it. We also asked that the straps be attached as a precaution. Went to pick up the dress - it was still too big, with no straps attached.
Emily asked us where did the straps come from as if we brought them with us. The straps were on the dress all along. Anyhow she put the straps on, my daughter did not try the dress on again because Emily said the straps would fix the issue. Once again because we are not seamstresses we took her word for it. The dress fit awful, but there wasn't anything we could do because the wedding was the next day. This place sucks and I see why they are going under. I will never recommend and anyone that is going there will tell them my story. It is really a minus zero rating but they don't have.

I had a bad experience at the store in Rockville, MD, 20852. A couple of weeks ago I went to the store to try on several dresses. I decided to choose two dresses. One of them didn't have the right size. The other one also was over-sized, and they didn't have the color I thought I would like in the store. The consultants told me that I could order the right sizes (they NEVER measured me) and the color that I wanted and come back for the dresses later. They made me pay for both dresses, and for the expedited delivery, which I was fine about.
About a week later they called me to say that both dresses had arrived. I came to the store within 5 days after the call. I tried on both dresses. And one of them was okay. However the second one was not what I expected in color and it didn't fit me in size. I told them that I didn't want to take that dress. The consultant didn't bother to talk to me, and just kept on saying that it's the store policy not to take the dresses back, and all they could do was to exchange the dress for a different one within the same price range.
I would understand that policy, if I had bought the dress satisfying me both in color and size, and then brought it back. However, I never had a chance to see the final product, until it actually arrived to the store. So I ended up with the dress that I didn't like and lost $160. I just don't understand, why they made me pay in advance for the dress which I actually never saw. I was very upset, but nobody wanted to help me. I do NOT recommend this store to anyone. I think it's a ridiculous policy, when they make customers pay in advance for the dresses that we don't even have a chance to see!!!

First off, I’ll begin by saying that I sew a lot. I know fabric, and I know what quality work looks like. I’m in a wedding this coming summer, so we all got our dresses from David’s Bridal. Base price of these dresses was $130. We picked up our dresses today. Upon closer inspection, instead of the top of the zipper havin' a hook and eye like it is supposed to, the manufacturer decided to cut costs by only adding the hook and having the wearer hook it to one of the stitches that connects the zipper to the dress. One wrong move and your zipper would be compromised.
The bottom hem of the dress is not straight, instead it is curved which it isn’t supposed to be. Now, let’s talk about the fabric. The fabric is what they call their “sport jersey.” I have also worked with this fabric before. It’s incredibly cheap and the entire dress is made out of this stuff. This dress at most should be $30 and that is being generous. $130 is completely ridiculous and is downright theft for the quality that you are receiving in return.

To any interested online shoppers at David's Bridal, beware! Return shipping costs and labels are not covered, I ended up having to return 2 pairs of shoes which came out to almost $30 in shipping costs. What's worse is that even though customer assistance advised me to initiate the return and provided me with all the shipping details, it took them a few months to process the return and realize that they could not accept my return and had to return it due to a vague store policy that none of the customer service reps could adequately explain to me. This makes absolutely NO SENSE in the age of Amazon.com and worst of all it is anything but customer service focused.
I called to issue a complaint about how the matter was handled and their customer service representative advised me to accept the return and just "sell it on eBay." This is likely the most absurd suggestion I have ever been given by a retail company. All in all, if you are seeking a positive experience as you plan for your already very stressful wedding, I recommend that you spare yourself the headache and avoid David's Bridal altogether.

Good afternoon ALL, I wanted to take a moment to highlight Jennifer at the Barrett Parkway (Georgia) store. On 10/21/2018, my mother-in-law & I visited the store without an appointment to find a bridal gown for her, for a 2019 event. We were told we needed an appointment, and allowed to look at the dresses to see what they had available. As we were looking, Jennifer came by and saw us, asked us what we were looking for and made accommodations to not only select a gown, but found a dressing room to try it on. Jennifer went out of our way to meet our needs, and accommodate us, especially since my mother-in-law lives in rural Mississippi and would not have access in her hometown. Thanks again Jennifer, you are a ROCK STAR and went above and beyond to help us in our time of need. Exceptional customer service at David's Bridal Barrett Parkway.

As far as the staff the first one we saw was opinionated. Did not listen to what we said. We had to go to the dresses and get things that fit us not her. She had her own agenda on what she thinks people should wear. Everything she picked was horrible.

I decided to change my mind about getting married to someone and it was within 10 days of initially 'purchasing' a dress on a credit plan. Then when I told them, the girl and I are split up, and no longer speaking, they let her take the dress anyways! Like, what the **! I'm stuck paying for something I will never see, or gain anything from and it cost me 1500$.
** you David's Bridal. Maybe if you gave a ** about your customer service, you might actually be a good company. It would have been a simple fix. They told us that this dress was final sale and once it was sold they would no longer have that dress, so we bought it and spent about $850 in fear that the dress would be gone. I'm a 2, they sent me a 4. I drown in the dress and can't imagine the fees to have it altered. I'm talking handfuls of fabric, I'm able to step out of the dress with only the help of gravity. NOT TO MENTION the dress is now featured on their website for $300. So, now I have a dress I don't want and I can't even make half the money back that I spent on it to begin with. When I went to try on dresses at the Chico, CA store, I had an underwhelming experience. My hopes were high and I was expecting to have a great experience for the entirety of getting my dress. That day I tried on multiple dresses and finally found a corset back dress. The woman helping me had me trying on size 12 dresses. It fit almost perfectly but was tight in the chest area as I have a larger chest and a smaller waist. I mentioned my concerns to her and she said there would be no issue with letting it out a little and told me she would order it in a petite size since I am only 5'3 so that the dress would be shorter. So I said yes to the dress.
When my dress came in I went and tried it on. To my horror it was way too small. They had ordered me a size 10 and did not order the petite size. They told me that it was just how they do their orders and that they always order dresses a size down. I told them the dress barely fit me in the chest when I tried on the size 12 and all they did was say that they could move the panel in the back so that it would cover my back and that just the way it is. I was upset but they told me that's all they could do.
So I went in for alterations and it turns out that they didn't even order my dress in the petite size so I had to pay $150 to get it hemmed. That is ridiculous. I shouldn't have had to pay that when the petite size may have worked out fine. So I had to pay that and I had to pay $20 to have the panel in the back moved. Which may not have needed it, had they ordered the dress in the correct size.
Today I went to pick up my dress with the alterations done. It was a mess. The bustle was wrong and the whole right side of the dress was dragging on the floor. They did not move the panel as they were supposed to. They added bra cups when that was never discussed and had them in a very small size that made the dress stick out from my chest with little lumps from the cups. It was a horrible experience. They were all very unprofessional. Then I had to sit around and wait while they tried to fix the alterations. It was ridiculous. I find it appalling that I had to pay for these alterations all because they ordered the wrong dress size and told me "that's just how it is". I am extremely mad and dissatisfied with my whole experience with your store and I will make sure everyone knows about it. I will also make sure no one I know ever uses your store.

I went to David's Bridal in Massapequa and was helped by a really nice woman and bought my wedding rehearsal dress. Wrote a nice review. I also went to David's Bridal in Westbury and bought my bridal shower dress-experience was good. I went back to the store in Massapequa and bought a cathedral veil that was in a bag 50% off for $150-experience was good. I went back to the Massapequa store on 8/27/18 to get my veil steamed. Meanwhile when I bought my veil, I tried it on in the store and took pictures of it from behind-perfect condition. The veil sat in a bag in my closet until it was time to get it steamed.
I was told the veil would take 15-20 minutes to get it steamed. I ended up waiting an HOUR and was told by a blonde manager with glasses that there were rips in my veil. She asked if I was aware of this and I said no. I second guessed myself and didn't have the photos with me of the veil. She told me that I would need to get a new one and could use what I paid for it which none of the veils they had were $150-all much more. I ended up paying another $50 for a new cathedral veil (I liked my original much better). I was so angry and was trying to gather my thoughts-did I rip it, did they rip it? I just had to go see my photo of the veil.
I got home and saw that the veil was not ripped in the pictures and was so angry. I knew it was my word against theirs but the girl in the back room totally destroyed the veil while trying to steam it. Why would it take an hour to steam anyway? They most likely had a "Oh **" moment and tried to put the blame on me. I went back to the store last Wednesday, 9/12/18 and spoke to the same manager woman. She wasn't very accommodating at all and said she would call corporate and it would take 24-48 hours-still haven't heard from them. They suck. Spend more $ on your dresses/veil and don't do business with them. I should have listened to other people about not going there-trash store.

First of all, I have no idea why they measured me. I fit perfectly in the size 0 at the store but when it arrived, it was too tight. With the helps of my measurements, maybe someone could have said my ribcage wouldn't be able to fit. I had to exchange for a size 2, which took a few months and they handed it to me and I tried it on at home - why didn't they offer to have me try it on there? Really disappointed that I didn't notice all of the stains on the dress.
There are almost ten on the chest and stomach area and a very large one on the bottom front. I didn't notice it due to the lighting in my house so make sure you check in really good lighting before you're stuck with it. My sister has only one small stain at least and since alterations are expensive and time consuming (I only needed it hemmed), a coworker was kind enough to do it for me. Not good quality for the price and I wouldn't want them to ever alter anything with what I've heard along with their pricing.

I went with the bride and the rest of the bridal party to pick out a dress. I found a Vera Wang dress that I loved. The sample dress fit perfectly everywhere except it was about 5 inches too long which most were so I knew it would have to be hemmed but no other alterations needed. The zipper zipped up easily and in putting two fingers in the back, I had an inch of room left. Cue to when my "custom" Vera dress arrived... completely unable to zip. Brought it to my tailor and now have to add two and a half inches of fabric just to get it zipped!
Another hundred dollars spent because according to my tailor, the measurements are a size smaller than the tag size of the dress. He told me he sees this all the time when purchasing from them. They make more money in alterations (thank God I was smart enough not to bring it there) than they do on their dress sales. The "seamstress" at DB also screwed up on the Bride's gown and another Bridesmaid dress in our party. If you want to be frustrated and spend more than you should, you should purchase here... if not, don't even walk through their doors.

I was home in Kansas City for a long weekend to handle some wedding items that I can't do at home in the Caribbean. A last minute idea was to go ahead and look for my wedding gown, so I didn't have to fly home multiple times. I hadn't planned in advance and nor had I confirmed all my bridesmaid's availability on such short notice. I made the first appt on Saturday with my Maid of Honor and mom. My family didn't quite see my vision of what I wanted for my beach wedding. They were trying to talk me into the wrong dress for me.
Megan ** was really great, calm, and reassuring that I would find what I wanted. After going through all the "liked" wedding gowns, I moved into the bridesmaid’s style dresses for my wedding dress. Megan ** pulled everything we asked her to, and then she even added a few more that I might like from the Event dresses. We were headed on the right track, but still not quite there. Megan stayed with us after her shift was over and she scheduled an appt for us for the next day. That day my other bridesmaid came with us and we finally narrowed it down to 3 dresses for me, and 2 for her. Sadly, still not done. Megan set us up for another appt on Monday and Tuesday because not all of us could be there at all the same times.
Megan only works the weekends, but she came in on her day off to help us on Tuesday. She stayed later than we had planned and didn't complain, or fuss about it being her day off. There was no guarantee that she was going to make a sale of any kind, but still came in. When we all met Tuesday, she kept us all moving in the right direction, even though she was taking care of all 3 of us. Megan ** was a real pleasure, she was very attentive to all of us, and made sure we had everything we needed. She really helped me, the bride, stay cool headed until we found the right dress. Megan was perfect to work with and all 3 of us found the best dresses. Thank you Megan **. I'll be sure to send wedding pictures of all of us.

I went to David's Bridal for my wedding dress and the woman found a dress I love but it was over my budget but I decided to get it and she told me I could exchange it. Well I found one online I liked better and since I didn't have my dress yet they agreed to let me exchange it. Well the next appointment I had was very rushed and I did get another dress that was in my budget. She said I couldn't get white because it wouldn't be in until Sept and my wedding is August.
Well my dress came in by the end of June and so I went in to have alterations done. The dress was too tight on top and she had to take in the waist and hips, hem and a bustle came out to 321.00. I was already paying over 600 for the dress and now I'm paying more than the original dress that was over my budget! After she pinned it and totaled the price I told her I couldn't afford it and she said to take off the dress and she would have her associate take out the pins. I now have a dress that doesn't fit and can't afford to have altered and because of the cost of the dress I can't afford to buy a new one. Picking out a dress is such a special part of getting married and this has ruined my experience and wedding! Don't go there ever. They are deceptive and expensive. I don't even know how much my dress was because they online did a refund amount.

My daughter needed a prom dress and I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a dress that would be worn once. My daughter found a dress at David's Bridal's in Westbury, NY. We went for our first appointment on 3/24/18, it was so easy that we were out of there within 30 minutes. I was told that it would take approximately a month for the dress to come in. I asked if I could make an alteration appointment now and was told I couldn't. The dress came in with a week and a half and they kept calling to pick it up and then make an appointment for alterations but my schedule was pretty hectic so they told me they mailed it. It came in a rolled up ball. The alterations were 5/22/18 and Fontane tried to charge me a $25 rush fee but I fought it because I wanted an earlier appointment and they told me that was not possible. Fontane under her breath stated, 'she's complaining but has a Louie bag.'
We went to pick up the dress on 6/15 and the dress in the chest area looked awful. I was extremely upset, they acted like they couldn't be bothered, I demanded that my daughter's dress be fixed. Her prom is on 6/20, not a lot of time to fix it. They sent over a young girl to pin her and I asked if she was a seamstress and she said 'no.' I told her to get away from my daughter, I want a seamstress to pin her. Finally, I seamstress came out from the back, made faces that it was in fact a horrible job. They told me to come back on Monday at 130 and the dress would be done. I told them I work and I need to come at 5. They gave me a hard time but finally gave in. I made them write me up a receipt that the pickup will be 6/18 at 5.
We arrived on 6/18 at 5, and I made my daughter go wait and I asked for the manager. She ignored me and I confronted her and asked if she was the manager. She said she was and started threatening me that her district manager instructed her to call the police if I act out. I told her that if the dress was done properly, then I wouldn't be acting out and honestly, for $195 in alterations, for it to come out as it did, I have every right to be upset. I showed the manager Courtney the pictures of the dress and she said, "It looks fine to me." She was nasty, waving her finger in my face. I got nasty back because no one is going to wave a finger in my face and lie to my face that the dress looks fine. In addition, pins were left at the bottom of the dress and when I showed Courtney the pictures, she told me that my daughter put the pin in the dress.
The story gets better. I asked the nasty manager to come see the dress, which they never fixed. They told me that the Alteration Manager Fontane must approve all alterations. Odd, Fontane was the one who pinned my daughter the first time and look how the dress came out, horrible. I lost it because they didn't even touch the dress. I was told by Courtney that 'it's too bad', with her finger in my face, Fontane joined in, with her finger in my face, and then two women joined in who have no clue on what was going on. I was then told, either pick it up tomorrow, or get out of the store before they call the police. I asked for a garment bag, they refused to give me one, and I left with the dress in my hand.
The worst customer service, rude, they have no idea what they are doing there. I spoke to a customer service representative on Friday at 5 pm, Moshe and he took the complaint. He said that everyone was gone and it takes 24-48 business hours to contact the customer. I called prior to our visit today to see if this was rectified and I was told by a young lady that it takes time. Meanwhile, Courtney, stated that she spoke to her District Manager and he told her to 'call the police and throw me out.' Sometimes it's better to pay more than deal with inexperienced retail workers.

Here we go: I ordered my dress from David’s Bridal upon trying on several dresses. My size was not available in the store, so I went with the David’s Bridal recommended size and put in the order for my wedding dress. The dress was due to arrive on May 17th and I was supposed to receive both a call and an email when my dress arrived. I received neither. That was the first “red flag”. After arranging a day with my mother-in-law to be, I called on Wednesday, May 23rd to schedule an appointment for an alteration so that I could have alterations done immediately after trying on the newly-shipped dress. I was put on hold to confirm that my dress was in the store and it was, so, we went on with the appointment for Sunday, May 27th at 5:30pm.
Now, a little bit of background: I live 2 hours out from the nearest David’s Bridal so I have to set aside an entire day for the trip to and fro. I brought my mother-in-law to be to the alteration appointment so she could help me pick out shoes and so she could see the dress with me; it was an experience we were very excited to have together, but it did not happen.
See, somewhere between booking my alteration appointment and my Sunday arrival to David’s Bridal, my dress was shipped out… to my house? Apparently, even though I had an appointment with my dress for the weekend, my dress was in the store for longer than 14 days (even though it’d been 6 days on the day I made the appointment) and needed to be shipped to the home of the purchaser, per your policy. I would imagine that your policy also indicates some form of contact as this all occurs, but to note, no form of contact came through and that’s apparent since I was there, in the store.
I was informed of all of this as I was sitting in the David’s Bridal store and handed a print-out of a shipping confirmation for my dress's arrival, hopefully, sometime today, May 29th. The attendant said to book another appointment for an alteration and I informed them that I live too far and have to set aside entire days to come to the store. Let’s just say their mask of empathy was very thin that day and all I could see off of them was “it’s not my problem”. The attendants also couldn’t understand that I would have to make, in addition to the current trip: one trip to come back to the store for a second alteration appointment with the dress they shipped to my house, two: another trip to then pick up the dress. A total of three days, two additional for the mistake they made, to spend driving back and forth to fix my wedding dress?
My account was not noted for the alteration. My dress was shipped out. I’ve paid for my dress and I DON’T HAVE MY DRESS! Words cannot dignify the amount of turmoil I’m feeling for the complete disrespect and incompetence witnessed in your store. The callousness I experienced in the handling of my Wedding Dress and my entire Wedding Experience is beyond reprehensible. If the store is not capable, with their three computer systems or their inability to communicate with one another on handling basic day-to-day business, then the store should not be in operation. The store is managed incompetently and the attendants do not care; the store is their local hang out spot and the store/clients are treated as such.
You should not be paying these people; they are doing a disservice to David’s Bridal and the entire wedding/bridal experience. With a month to my wedding, I don’t have my dress fitted and it’s literally in limbo. Who knows if it will even arrive and what condition it will be in. I shouldn’t have to deal with any of these anxieties; I made my appointment and paid for my dress. What will be done about this? I need a resolution for what has happened to me.

Well nothing to get excited about or relieved yet because guess what? It's Thursday May 10, 2018 and I still do not have a wedding dress!!! Ok I'm in Macon store trying on dresses right, well she brings me a strapless bra to wear under dress it was too small so she comes back with a much larger one that swallows me whole an says this will have to do because I don't have many selections in your size. She just had a pissy I don't care attitude about getting me in a dress or selling me anything!!!
Now mind you this is suppose to be a fun exciting procedure as part of the wedding day planning right ladies??? Well... Not so much in my case and not so much with David's Bridal... She acted as though I was a bum off the street wasting her time. She pulled me a few gowns helped me get into them but they were either too small or too big so she suggests that I go to another store as though she didn't want to bother with me! I liked a dress very much but she did nothing in the way of pleasing or accommodating me and my needs at all. She did manage after about an hour and a half to pawn me off on another store in Jacksonville East FL. (Also David's Bridal) Out of my way and out of the beaten path so I explained to her that it was way outta my way to please find another store, so she reluctantly tried calling a few other David's Bridal finally after I asked her to repeatedly...
Actually I had to ask for service about everything, she kept disappearing and leaving me alone. I felt really small and unimportant by this time but I remained a Christian and even tried to cheer her up but she simply made it perfectly clear that she had no interest in helping me find a dress or satisfying me as a paying in cash person!!! It was after she started helping with another customer that I realized I wasn't gonna leave this store a happy camper!!! So she finally pawned me off on another lady that worked there!!! I told her I wanted to buy something from her so she could get commission out of my wasting her time and she replied, "I'm the manager. I don't get commission so it really doesn't matter one way or another..." So this other lady treated me with same exciting enthusiasm as the first... But she did hook me up with the Jacksonville East David Bridal in FL.
So I did have to ask her if I could buy my veil and some Costume jewelry for my dress From her so she walked to the rack picked up the first thing and sold them to me... After I asked repeated for several different garments that I never got!!! I just left a very sad and disappointed bride!!! So I got up this morning Thursday May 10, 2018 and called the Jacksonville FL store to pay for the dress I picked that only they had my actual size in! And that I was leaving GA. to come pick it up. However at 5:30 pm after a long day of misery and car trouble I call the Jacksonville FL David's Bridal to inform them that I could not make it to their store on time to get my dress and that I had no other way or day to pick it up except today!!! Then I asked the woman named Terrie that I was talking to over the phone if I paid someone 200.00$ cash to sit in their parking lot with my dress would they do that for me... Well of course not.
Her response was, "This a very bad neighborhood." So I say, "Oh ok then. Just hang my dress that I have already bought and paid for on the outside door of store. I will take full responsibility for my dress. Just put it where I can come get it because I can't get there on time tonight nor can I come Tomorrow and my wedding is Sat May 12, 2018!" Well guess what??? She refused to do that because I had to sign for that dress even though I had already paid for it over the phone!!!
Terrie the manager I'm guessing said it's their policy that they are responsible for the dress until I sign for IT!!! So ladies there's a lot more details but I'm tired and off at 6:15 pm again to shop for a wedding dress so if you want memorable pleasant exciting experience when you shop for a wedding dress DO NOT GO TO DAVID's Bridal in any state. I would give them half a star if I knew how to do that... Oh and check this out. Kelly had the audacity to ask me to go online and give her 5 star reviews!!! Well here you are hun. I hope I have accommodated you in the same manner and respect that all of you ladies gave me!!!! Have a nice life.

I won't even give David's Bridal 1 star. My daughter purchased her wedding gown for $599 before taxes; paid $160 for alterations and at the final fitting had to pay another $394! Outrageous that the alterations which are minimal are almost the cost of the dress. I'd advise everyone to go elsewhere for alterations.

Finding the perfect dress for your son's wedding is difficult. So you go to presumed quality store online, you order the dress. It does not fit scratchy lace. You cannot return it to a store, the people were very rude, so you return it to the online store. Surprise need to pay to ship it back about 11 dollars and you already paid to have it shipped to you plus they do not give a full refund they deduct another shipping charge. Costing about 42 dollars in all to return it. Should have kept it and just sold it.
There are many other stores online to shop that are consumer friendly particularly to people shopping for an important occasion. Nordstrom's is one, a great experience quality products, very friendly, and helpful online assistance often free shipping and free returns. Great sale prices too! There is also Dillard's great shopping experience. Or try a local bridal shop. I will never direct anyone to David's Bridal or shop there again to many other places to go that appreciate your business a wedding planner.

I would give negative stars if I could, because my experience was and still is, THAT BAD. First off, they didn’t order my wedding dress, (that takes 6+ months to get in by the way, since it’s special order) for 3 weeks AFTER I had paid for it, delaying it that much longer. The only reason I found out is because they told me they couldn’t email me a receipt (I paid for it over the phone a day or so later) and that I had to come into the store. I figured since I was going to be there in 3 weeks anyway for my bridesmaid’s dresses, I would just pick up my receipt then, no harm. WRONG. They didn’t show that it had been paid for and tried to get me to pay for my dress again! After arguing with the associate for over 10 minutes that I had paid my dress off a few weeks ago, I finally had to show her my bank statement to show her that I in fact had paid for my dress!
So now my dress that was supposed to get in here in July, for a wedding beginning of September, will not be here until August. Which does not give us any time to get any of the alterations or my pictures done. After I tried to see if they could get it in earlier, they told me that it was up to the designer and that there was nothing they could do. They didn’t even offer to expedite the shipping from the warehouse to get it to me sooner, just told me that it still might be in earlier and we have to wait. When I expressed that it is arriving in August didn’t give me any time to get alterations done, they told me I could have them rush my order, but it would be a rush fee. They wanted to charge me the extra fee, FOR THEIR MISTAKE. After all of that hassle- They ordered one bridesmaid's wrong dress! Keep in mind, she ordered in store, the day we looked at them! She confirmed it with the associates 3 times, on the dress, color and size she needed.
When she went to pick it up, it was a completely wrong size and style. When she told them that it was not the correct dress she ordered they did correct their mistake and ordered the correct one. BUT not without trying to charge her an additional price, Again FOR THEIR MISTAKE. She got lucky, and the associate was very nice to her and “waived” the additional charge and offered to ship it to her house for free. Hopefully this one is correct this time. This is also the only one of my bridesmaids to have their dress arrive, so I am not sure the state of the other 5 bridesmaids waiting. I will NEVER shop with them again. Not only do they not own up to their mistakes, they don’t care to fix them either to make up for it. Once they have your money, their customer service sucks.

I am very disappointed not only in the shoes I ordered, but more so with David's Bridal customer service. Their shoes do not reflect the proper sizing or color. They ran about a size and a half small. I am a true 11, but received an equivalent of a 9.5. I have been back and forth with several different yet unhelpful representatives about an exchange or credit for about 3 months. It seems as though they just pass the concerns around with no regard for previous thread. They send a generic message and don't specifically address your concerns.
With David's Bridal, you have to pay to ship back unless the product is damaged. Furthermore when you buy online, you cannot return to a store. An item that is misrepresented (in color and size) should be considered for a refund or exchange. I was open to return myself as well as just taking a credit to buy different shoes, but they didn't even respond to my last message. I will not be buying from David's Bridal again.

Don't bother to buy online with David's Bridal. The dress was unsatisfactory (cheap and ugly) and the cost of shipping would have paid for half the dress! I spent nearly $50 on shipping on a $100 dress. And the refund has not yet been credited to my account after several weeks. Terrible customer service.

I bought my wedding dress from here, at the Ft Wayne, IN store, in August for my April 2018 wedding. My experience when buying my dress was okay, customer service was not terrible, but I was on a tight budget and felt pressured to buy everything from their store. Also, the "quote" the saleswoman gave us for alterations ended up being like a third of what they actually cost. For example she said "oh it will be $10 to add straps to your dress", in reality the material alone was $48. At my first alterations appointment I worked with Lauren (who was great). When I went back in 4 weeks to pick up the dress I was horribly disappointed - Lauren who pinned my dress, and who we thought did the alterations, was not there. I had spent $354 for alterations and nothing that was done to the dress was done correctly. The lady I worked with at my second fitting appointment, who turned out to be the alterations manager Janet, was horribly rude and not helpful.
My mom was down on the ground attempting to fix parts of my dress that we were not happy with, while Janet just watched. My mom does not sew, therefore she had no idea what she was doing, but Janet did nothing to offer us assistance. Her suggestions were to use double sided tape or use safety pins to bustle my dress! My mom and I went home that night in tears and we had no trust in anyone at David's Bridal. I did not feel comfortable with my dress being there any longer, so we ended up picking up my dress the next day. The store manager was then also rude as we asked for a refund due to my dress and alterations not being what I paid for. The manager stated that everything on my receipt had been done to the dress, therefore a refund was not elicited. My mom also questioned why we had to pay upfront and her response was "that's just how our ticket system runs."
I do not feel we should have to pay for a service up front that has not been completed! And come to find out - the seamstress who pins the dress is NOT who sews the dress and then they are NOT who is at your next fitting. There is NO consistency in the alterations department. They say "we all pin the same and we all sew the same", but that obviously cannot be true. In the end, I ended up taking it to a sweet alterations lady in Rome City (and will pay to have my dress altered again). Once I took it there I found out that David's Bridal had actually NOT done everything that was on my receipt - they had taken the dress in in wrong places and had not even TOUCHED the outer layer of lace material.
She even questioned how I got into the dress because they had taken it in SO much in the wrong places - places that had already been tight in the beginning! What was on my receipt and what had been done to the dress were NOT the same. My mom and I have contacted the corporate office and they too will not give us the time of day regarding a refund. $354 to this corporation is equivalent to a penny for them, but it is a lot of money for me while I still have other wedding bills to pay! They are rude and their customer service is awful. We will NEVER refer another friend to David's Bridal in the future. Your wedding dress is the highlight of your big day and David's Bridal has turned mine into a nightmare.

My daughter found the dress of her dreams. Of course the dress had to be altered. When we came to pick up the dress the first time they hadn't done anything to it, the second time it still had not been done and the 3rd time the dress was too small. They said they could fix it by making ties in the back which obviously changes the look of the dress and then told us since it had to be a rushed thing they were charging us extra. We argued at the fact that it was supposed to have been done twice before this and now that it's close to the wedding day and they cut the back wide open and made it to small it was our problem? They said it wasn't their fault that its the alteration people's fault. They would not give us any money back or discount on the dress they would only give us instore credit.
Don't get me started on Men's warehouse that they do their tuxedo's through. They were missing tuxes when we went to pick those up, then charged people for tuxes that we already had paid for up front. They both have terrible customer service and the fact that they would not take any fault or give us any credit after ruining my daughter's dress, I will never do business with them again!!!

My experience with David's Bridal was horrible. When first locating a dress for myself, my biggest concern was the alteration. I did not want a dress that was going to cost me more than 200$ for alterations. The dress I picked was amazing and perfect. I was informed it would be starting at 60$ and goes up to 200$, how perfect right!? WRONG!!! They LIED. My alterations ended up being 450$ because it was a contour dress, the baseline is 245$ for this type of dress, NOT what I was informed on. When I tried to explain what happened they told me to go somewhere else if I didn't like it.
Then my bridesmaids come in for an APPOINTMENT, they were not helped at all, was told to look for their own dresses without any help, was pushed into a corner and left to handle the dresses by themselves. I had to constantly be asking for someone to come and pen the dresses or do it myself!!! Why should a Bride be handling her girls' bridesmaid dresses, I absolutely should not have to do this. THEN, we get the dresses in and 3 (the ones who got matching dresses) broke out into hives, when asking the store manager how this is happening, they BLAMED, my bridesmaid and kicked us out of the store with NO resolution (asked us to leave). After having that horrible ordeal we figured calling corporate would help. WRONG AGAIN. They spent three weeks giving us the run around on the dresses and STILL will not take credit and BLAMES my bridesmaids for having a reaction to THEIR DRESS!
When trying to come to a resolution about this whole scene the BEST they could do was 20%, which basically only takes the taxes off the vail and I still end up paying full price. As a bride and having to deal with the emotional turmoil of this store and CORPORATE MANAGEMENT (her name is Princess) if 20% is the best they can do then they are the WORST COMPANY TO DEAL WITH. I am now going to sue them for emotional damage and for being unprofessional during this whole process. Lying to us every step of the way. This Princess even refused to let me see call records between us and to speak to her supervisor. NEVER SHOP OR DO BUSINESS WITH DAVID'S BRIDAL. EVER. You will regret it.

I was very unhappy with the fact that we purchased a $1500.00 dress and were not told that the alterations would be over $500.00, 1/3 of the dress cost. This is ridiculous! The first dress had to be returned as it was so small that it could not be zipped. My daughter normally wears an 8 yet David's ordered her a 4 even after we repeatedly told them that she has never worn a 4. The dress was to arrive in early March, when it arrived in December, we were told that we had 10 days to pick it up as they could not store dresses. My daughter lives two hours away so I picked it up to find that it was too small, returned it and waiting for the 2nd dress to come in. They have nice dresses but we aware of the hidden alterations costs. They should up their dress prices and alter for free or make sure that you understand the high price of alterations.

Finally rep that came to help named Angelica approached me with a completely different name, apologized. She asked me what pants size I wear and if I like anything in the store. This rep did not try to show me any dresses. Did not give me any suggestion. Showed my Mom where the section of the Mother of the Bride was. Did not ask my Mom was she was looking what color nothing!
I showed Angelica the dress I wanted that had seen online and told me that dress comes in only in one color. When I showed her the different colors online. Then she responded with a "Oh" then she went ahead and told me, “You still won't get it on time anyways.” This was the worse customer service I have experienced. I expected more from David's Bridal. When I informed Angelica my Mom and I were going to look elsewhere she just said, “Ok sorry.” Did not try to convince us to stay. Nothing. We were with the rep less than 10 minutes. I've been to David's Bridal in Brea, Ca and the service was so much better. I thought about maybe it was just the rep that suppose to show us the dresses but from the beginning the experience was no good.

She also had a lot to say under her breath. She pointed out a dress to the bride and she didn't like the color or style and she says "ugh my goodness" and then leaves us to find dresses on our own.
We only had one hour for 5 girls to try on dresses with one dressing room, Veronica didn't mention to us we could use the dressing room next to ours until the last 5 minutes. Every time we had a question, we had to go searching for her. When we finally saw a dress that a customer had on and asked Veronica if we could try it on...she looked at her watch and said, "You only have 10 minutes left". She never sized us. Never even tried to help us. I was disgusted at her lack of customer service. Don't waste your time here.

Midweek I received a call confirming my appointment and asking me the types of dresses I would like to try on. Saturday before my appointment I called to see if I could adjust the time on the Sunday to later in the afternoon as there was a family emergency, only to be told "THERE WAS NO APPOINTMENT" for me, and the only appointment they had that Sunday was for alterations. There was no apologies, just matter of fact, oh well, no appointment but let me see what I can do. I immediately declined booking with them and informed them if they were the uncaring about not having my appointment, which was confirmed, how would they help if something went wrong with my dress.
I said I would shop elsewhere, "no problem" and they hung up... BEST part - they called me on Sunday at noon, to CONFIRM, yes I am going to say this to CONFIRM my appointment for Thursday - I was completely shocked. I had never even booked an appointment for Thursday. My words were, I am not sure who you have working there, or how incompetent they are, but I had not booked an appointment for Thursday and just yesterday I had informed them that I would be looking elsewhere for my dress. Her response, "Oh well. I am sorry", but for such a large company I would have expected staff members to be so much more professional. All I can say is NEW BRIDES BEWARE, if they are that unprofessional over a booking error on their part, how will they be when there is an issue with a dress you order from them... My experience was not that great with David’s Bridal. I scheduled an appointment at the Scottsdale location. I was helped immediately and was told I could look around. Originally, I wanted a dress that wasn't that expensive. I was shown dresses around 1,000 and I settled on a size 14 dress that had to be ordered. They consulted the seamstress before I decided on the dress. She assured me that my dress would be altered to make the dress fit me. I waited 3 months for the dress and find out it wasn't ordered altered at all. I called them and they told me to bring it in. I tried it on and they said I needed to pay $300 to have it altered! This was on top of the $1200 I was already paying.
I refused to pay more than I thought it would be. The only thing they agreed to do was exchange the dress for one that was equal or lesser value. The consultant went to the back to pick out a few dresses. I kept on trying them on, but they didn't have very many dresses in a size 16. Most of them were too small or too large. I settled on another dress that they said would take another month to order in my size. Now I'm waiting 4 months for a wedding dress I should be had sooner. I am not happy with my experience. I had my dress put on a credit card and no one told me alterations would be additional if the dress doesn’t fit.

I went to the David's Bridal location across from Arrowhead Mall in Phoenix. I spent 2.5 hours there trying to find a dress for formal night on our upcoming cruise. When I first got there the lady told me I needed an appointment to try on dresses. I informed the lady I had an appointment. She acted upset that I had an appointment and even rolled her eyes. I chalked it up to her having a bad day. Then she told me to go look at dresses. I informed her I made an appointment so I could have someone help me. She ignored me and walked away. I should have known better to stay after that but I did. I finally got some assistance from 2 other ladies. They were very friendly and actually listened to what I said. I informed them I was only buying this dress to wear one time on the cruise ship for formal night.
After 2.5 hours I finally decided on a dress. Now mind you, I wasn't receiving help from these 2 for the full 2.5 hours. That time was also spent being sent to their alterations person who was rude and said I needed an appointment for her to talk to me. Strike 2. I selected a dress that wouldn't need alterations due to this woman's behavior towards me. The dress was paid for, I paid for a dress bag, and I was off. The dress sat in my closet until I packed it for the cruise. So fast forward and we are now on the cruise. I've just spent over an hour in the salon getting my hair down, $80. Go up to my deck to start getting ready.
Pull the dress out. Put the dress on and started fluffing it out when something hard touched my leg. I pick the bottom of the dress up and was immediately upset. David's Bridal employees left the ink theft device on the damn dress! I was so mad! There was no way to get this off! I had nothing else to wear! This dress was only bought for this formal night! I wasn't able to have dinner with my entire family due to not having anything to wear! I was humiliated and embarrassed because I had to tell my family, we were a party of 14, that I couldn't go to dinner and the reason why. Absolutely ridiculous! So now I was out the almost $300 I spent on the dress, the shoes and purse I bought to match the dress and the cost of having my hair done! Not to mention the pain and suffering I had due to their mistake!
I finally get back home after being on vacation for 3 weeks and it was a Sunday. I went to the store with the dress and asked for a manager. The first words out of Anna's mouth after seeing the dress bag was "we don't make refunds". I said "you most definitely will be in this case". She looked at me and could care less what I was saying and told me she can't authorize a refund as it's against their policy so I need to wait until either Tuesday or Wednesday before the district manager will call me. I left the store before losing my mind.
I will be waiting until Wednesday the latest, for a call from this district manager before I file a lawsuit. This is a large company who needs to make this situation right and just refund my money. Even the tags were still on the dress. I took them off before putting the dress on but thankfully I kept my receipt. I'm also trying to report this to the corporate office but every time I click on the link, it takes me to an actual David's Bridal page. Do not buy from them! It's not my responsibility to check the clothing to ensure the anti theft devices are removed. It's their job.

I was going to leave it in the bag and wait until my wedding to put it on as I didn't need alterations. But then I thought maybe I should make sure it fits as nice. Opened the bag up and found someone with dark face makeup, red lipstick, and black mascara had tried my dress on and had even ripped it on the inside. I called David's Bridal that evening really upset. They said, "Bring it in." I let them know someone face was on my dress. They said they would clean it. Why on earth would I spend that much money for a used dress? I figured I would give them a chance to get it right. Go back a month later. Got stuck in traffic two minutes until close. Pick up my dress. Guess what is still on the dress. Makeup.
Called the manager wanting my money back as I was tired of traveling 5 hours and by this time I was up to five trips (that's 25 hours) in a car in traffic. She said, "No I will talk to my regional manager." I guess everyone is on the same page of ripping people off. The tags are still on. I feel a refund is warranted at this point but they will not give me my money back. They can replace the dress or go in many other times to get a dress. It should have been right the first time. No one takes the time to look at the dress? I do not love the dress after running all over dealing with people who do not do their job. Oh and I was told they would call me by 5 pm sharp. 5:20 pm they called and then said they would call the next day by 5 pm and I got no call. For someone like me being punctual is important. They said they could not do anything because it was already altered by the way which I spent almost $600 to altered. One of the alterations lady even laughed at me when I was crying my eyes out because I had barely noticed and said all this time it’s been ivory.

If you are thinking about using David's Bridal DON'T! Go anywhere but there. My daughter bought a gown from them for $600.00. They charged her $900.00 to destroy it but because they fixed it before the wedding they decided it was ok to do that to her. Try to have Brandon at customer service return your calls, he won't. Nor will he call you back. This was the worst company I ever dealt with for customer service. So if you are still thinking about going there please save your special day and go elsewhere! I tried to give no stars but it won't let me skip that field.

I was told I could exchange a corset with a bone corset. They ordered me a new one before because of cup size. First I was told they could not do exchange. Then after arguing with them. Oh now they can. I wanted them to order me a new. Said the one she brought was new. I asked why does it have stains it in. She said she would clean. I guess after looking at it She didn't have time. Then she brought me another one "brand new". I did not look at it and I should have. After returning home later that evening I noticed a couple of hooks jacked up and thread popped from someone obviously trying it on. My trust in David's Bridal is down the drain!

I visited Davids Bridal in the UK. First, I had to make an appointment, I was not allowed to try on dresses (although the shop was almost empty). Made an appointment for the next Saturday and was allocated 90 minutes, most of which was taken up by the sales assistant 'getting to know me'. I wanted to try as many dresses on as possible but it seems you can only try on about 6.
My informal wedding was 3 months away. The assistant seemed disinterested after I'd tried on my quota of dresses and made me feel that my time was up. I felt that I had to get a dress there and then and felt pressured. I couldn't face another Saturday of trawling around the shops, not able to find anything. One dress seemed to fit and I rushed into buying it. When I'd paid I noticed the dress was 2 sizes too small (it seemed snug but ok). The dress was pinned on the hem and left in the shop for alterations, which would take a month.
The next day I had a total panic about buying a dress so small and I visited the shop on the Monday to ask if I could exchange. I was told I had to exchange there and then. I was on a lunch break! I didn't want to panic buy another dress and asked if I could have a refund, come back that weekend and choose another dress. The manageress came out and it was a flat NO. I know it was my fault but the dress was there in the shop, had not been altered and I can't see why they couldn't refund my money. YES, I know about consumer law but this is a BIG, special purchase for a woman and I left the shop in tears.
I dieted like crazy, to the point where I got totally obsessed with not eating anything and picked the dress up a month later. The 'alterations which had cost £40 was just the bottom of the dress cut off, no hemming and it's still too long. I've got myself obsessed that the dress is too small and I knew the minute I tried it back on that I would not be happy wearing it on my big day.
The dress was shoved in a bag by an assistant and I walked through the shopping center feeling utterly devastated. Even if I can get into the dress, the experience has left a bitter taste and I'm frantically looking for another dress. I'm left with a dress I don't want and less than 2 months to the wedding. Feel so upset and not able to sleep worrying that I've wasted so much money, I can only hope to sell it online. Yes, this was my own fault but I have had much better customer service in other shops, when I've spent much less money. Wish I hadn't set foot in the place.

I had an appointment scheduled for today with David's Bridal at Easton in Columbus, Ohio and arrived 10 mins early. As I waited for my stylist, 3 groups of ladies came in and were immediately taken to the back for assistance. I waited until 1:55 and still no stylist so I asked how much longer do I have to wait and was told that the stylist just came back from break and was on her way, waited for another 10 mins and still no stylist, so as I was walking out the door she came up and called my name. I thanked her for coming to get me but I was a very unhappy bride and will not be getting my wedding dress, bridesmaids' dresses or flower girl dresses from them and literally had tears in my eyes because this was to be the best part of planning my wedding and now I have no dress and upset and not one time did I get an apology. I quickly fell in love with my wedding dress and she was so helpful with all the questions that I had for her and helped us to decide on the packages that went with the dress. I needed two bridesmaid dresses, one for me and one for my 8 year old daughter. Not only are they out of stock of most dresses at all time but the experience is horrible as well. Once we both found dresses that we liked that were available in our sizes and color we ordered them online. Our card was charged for the amount before the discount. When we called to fix it they canceled the entire order. As we were redoing the order my dress sold out and I was forced to find a new one (not an easy task due to their website). Then, instead of ordering our two dresses they ordered my daughter's dress in two (junior) sizes. Upon calling again they separated our two dresses into two separate orders which meant that we no longer qualified for free shipping, but oh well at least we were getting dresses.
I received my dress in a reasonable amount of time but my daughter's dress never arrived and was declared lost. I then called again and my daughter's dress is now out of stock. We were finally able to track down a dress in her size and color in a store across the country. I was told I would have to buy the dress again and would be reimbursed if the lost package was ever found. I have never been so frustrated with any service experience as I have been with David's Bridal and will never use them again for upcoming weddings or events.

I drove from Pa to Greensboro NC to help my daughter find her wedding dress. We walked in David's Bridal and were informed we needed an appointment and could not browse the dresses without one. Me made an appt for the next day at noon. When we arrived we were told to go over and start looking at the dresses while our "Bridal expert" was helping another customer. We spent a good 30 minutes looking before a girl asked us if we were someone else. We said no this is who we are and our appt was at noon. She said OH and walked away. Finally a young less than enthused woman came up and told us to turn the dresses we liked sideways and then she would put us in a room. We did this and waited another period of time before she remembered us.
Finally we were put in a try on area filled with boxes and dresses hanging all over that needed returned to the racks. I'm talking multiples! If the store opened at noon this should have been clean still when we arrived. We had a couple of chairs facing a mirrored wall. My daughter got help getting in the dress but we helped her get out and hung back up the dresses. Finally we resulted to going and getting the dresses ourselves because our EXPERT was absent! We found her a dress she loved. The woman has no idea we pulled it ourselves. It had dirt marks all over it and we didn't have enough time to order one and guarantee it would be in by the wedding. So we purchased the one she tried on. No discount of course. We asked for the stains to be removed and the manager said, "Yes our girl would take care of it." So we laid it away for 2 months.
My daughter returned to pick it up and it still hasn't been cleaned. The people are being rude and refused to let her see the dress before she paid for it. Plus had to sign a receipt that this sale is final even though she is not allowed to make sure the dress is in the condition it is supposed to be. We took our Bridal party dress purchases elsewhere and as the mother of the bride I also went elsewhere. I will not return as a customer to this company and will not have anything good to say about it either. If you go to a David's Bridal steer clear of Greensboro NC!

My daughter got scammed at the Tampa location. They talked her into ordering her dress two sizes too big (without explaining the possible cost of alterations) and then when the dress came in, they charged her almost as much as the cost of the dress (more than $700) to alter it. When I learned what they had done, I called the corporate office to complain of this unethical practice (I'm sure she wasn't the first young woman to be taken advantage of) and after months of getting the run around from supervisor after supervisor, it became clear that there would be no recognition of wrongdoing! They just said that they would "talk" to the people at that location to make sure it doesn't happen again. Stay away from David's Bridal! They have every unethical practices!!!

I had an appointment with David's Bridal. I took my mum and two of my bridesmaids, also my aunt with me. I was very disappointed with the experience. First of all when we arrived at the shop we was not greeted with refreshments like it said on your website. The lady we had was not helpful at all, we felt like she didn't want to be there. Her name was Anastasia. I was taken to one side to talk about what I had in mind while my party stood there didn't know what to do. When she finished talking she told us to look for three dresses, this was my first time going to a bridal shop so we didn't know where to start looking. When we found some dresses she showed me to the changing room. I left like she was not helping me to get in the dress.
When I came out of the changing room she just stood there and my mum and aunt help to straighten out the dress. She didn't let me see the back of the dresses at all. My aunt took photos to show me. When my mum and bridesmaids and aunt was giving their opinion she kept whispering in my ear and saying, "It's your day. Don't worry about them." Also when I was in the changing room trying to get out of one of the dresses she left me to do on my own which was difficult to do. When the appointment was finished I felt so troubled and very disappointed in the whole experience. I would not recommend anyone to go there.

My fiance recently visited the Medford Oregon store and after an excruciating process, found her perfect wedding dress. She asked for it to be placed on hold so that she could gather all the women in the bridal party and both sides of the family to show them before she purchased. The following day, the caravan of women returned to the store where the dress was promised to be held, and to their surprise, it wasn't. The group of women was shocked and my fiance was absolutely destroyed to hear that it was sold just a few hours prior to them coming back to purchase it.
I understand mistakes happen, but this was agreed to be held until they returned the following day. In addition to this unfortunate event, she was treated like complete garbage. Not a single apology or even a "sorry" for this incident. Instead, she was handed a stack of menial coupons and told "we can try to order you another".
Now, I don't know about wedding dresses, but I know they're pretty darn expensive. Selling wedding dresses seems like it would be a staple in a business like this... But this kind of situation and the extremely poor excuse of "customer service" was completely ridiculous and not the way a company will thrive. They drove 40 minutes one way to show and purchase it, just for it to be sold... That's not good business and not a way to keep a customer.

My experience with David's Bridal in Paramus, NJ started off on a good note. The store was busy and they were very understaffed, but all in all, the girls did their best to help me select my wedding dress and my bridesmaids' dresses. Unfortunately, once the dresses were ordered and paid for, this was not the case. I received a voicemail when my daughter's dress (my junior bridesmaid) was in, advising in a very unfriendly tone that "you must pick up your dress within 7 days."
Since everything was paid for, I didn't understand the rush, especially in light of the fact that it was the middle of the summer and people were on vacation, including my family. I also informed her that my daughter was sick and we would pick up the dress when she was well and could try the dress on. I received about 10 calls before I called them back, when I asked why is it that a dress must be picked up within the 7 days, and "Consuela" responded that "this is our policy, we can send it to you for $15 by UPS. We only hold the dresses in the store for 7 days." Not trusting that they would hold the dress, I took my sick daughter to pick up her dress that evening.
The saleswoman handed me a dress covered in clear plastic, practically rolled up into a ball, with the bottom of the plastic sealed, but the corner of the dress sticking out of a small hole at the bottom. I was at a loss of words at the fact that they could actually present a dress to a customer this way. I ran to the dressing room, had my daughter try on the dress and left before I said something I would regret. The dress was tight and did not fit the way it should have, but I was not going to do any more business with these people. I'm certain that if I purchased a $2,000 wedding dress and had 10 bridesmaids, they would not have treated me in such a way. The moral of the story is this... if you're not spending big bucks, go somewhere else. The service couldn't be any worse than it was here, after you.

The people at the Monroeville, PA location are amazing! My friend is getting married in April and we already purchased our bridesmaid's dress (convertible in a bright purple) from a store right down the road called Alfred Angelo. Well, Alfred Angelo shut their doors yesterday and filed for bankruptcy leaving everyone who ordered from them at a loss. They are not getting any of the dresses previously ordered and not in and not refunding anyone until they go through an attorney. Just horrible.
So today the bride and I ran to David's Bridal today flustered over the mess. The people at the store treated us very kindly and they already knew of the situation that happened with Alfred Angelo. They told us that because of the grief everyone who ordered from Alfred Angelo is going through, they are currently offering an additional 20% for anyone who has a receipt from Alfred Angelo that did not receive their promised and paid for dress. They do not get anything extra because they are doing this for the customers who went through this hell. They are doing it out of kindness stating that they feel bad for those who are going through this because it was so abrupt and unexpected and an EXTREME inconvenience.
They assigned someone to us who was amazing and helped us find a dress very similar to the ones we picked at Alfred Angelo and we both actually liked BETTER! They are fantastic and I would recommend them to anyone. This is the 4th time going through David's (I used them for my bridesmaids) and I have never had an issue with them. I am still dealing with David's Bridal as I am still in the process of having alterations being completed on my Wedding Dress. I don't believe it is good business for a company to charge as much for alterations as the wedding dress cost. My dress was around $700.00 and so far my alterations are at $530.00. and counting. This is ridiculous. I would go somewhere else for the alterations but I fear I would be up the creek without a paddle if there are mistakes with the alterations.
I am not enjoying the wedding experience at all at the moment. I could understand if I had gotten one of their $99.00 specials having to pay more for alterations. But, shouldn't some complimentary alterations come with different pricing with the dress? They should at least share the fact that alterations are going to cost additional before you purchase your dress. Yes, I think they would do better if they gave complimentary alterations if you purchase over certain amounts. I mean by the time I have all the alterations completed I could have purchases a $1,200.00 dress if not more. I will say that the staff that I have dealt with are very kind.

We contacted David's Bridal customer service and they told us the only way to receive the correct dresses in time for the wedding would be place another order, pay for it, then they would reimburse us for the incorrect order when they received the wrong dresses back. They were very unapologetic, and didn't care that their "solution" did not meet our needs. I ordered a dress from David's Bridal online 4/26/17. The dress was beautiful as expected and fit beautifully. However upon looking over the dress prior to trying it on, there was a very large noticeable hole in the middle of the back, directly exposing the inner zipper. I promptly emailed CS that day, only to play "tag" with different reps offering different solutions. I was told in one email from Tristan that the dress could not be exchanged because there were none left in the warehouse. However there was 1 left in my color and size if I called in to replace the order. I could then return the damaged one for a full refund. Well I called only to get a rude CS rep on the phone, whom after I explained the emails. Told me an exchange or reorder was not possible.
I could not speak with a manager as I am only concerned with going "around in circles" as she has given me my only options and that was: 1 - Being to take it to the store 1 1/2 hours away to see what they could possibly do to fix it, at my expense. Or 2 - I could order a new dress, not in that color or size and also at my expense... I am just so angry with the level of customer service on their OWN website. The return policy specifically addresses damaged and misshipped items and yet not ONE rep cares to HONOR their own policy and rather would have me be stuck with this damaged dress while they pocket the money for something that should NOT have been sold in the first place without a damaged disclaimer... so my event in less than 2 months may be ruined!! I in fact kept my appointment on February 25th at the Westbury, NY store. As we got there we had a decent visit, one minor hiccup when a few of the store associates that was not working with me and my group came over and took our chairs stating that the district manager did not want any chairs on the floor in the try on area. One associate kept one chair for my grandmother and we went on with our visit. I ended up finding the dress that I loved there as well as my bridesmaids dresses. The associate that helped us was very helpful, persistent and knowledgeable. We even gave her an amazing Yelp review!
My issue starts when it is time to pick up my dress. The store called me on March 25th to tell me that my dress had arrived early. The rep told me that the dress had been there for a little over a week and that I was sent emails. Though I had received no emails, we both agreed that it was possible that they simply could have gotten lost or sent to the spam folder possibly. Either way I thanked her for calling and I let her know that my mother was in NY for a visit and that my father lived in NY so one of my parents would be in to pick up my dress. But at that moment I was not sure who so I told her that I would call her back to let her know. She said that was fine that she would hold it for the rest of the week and if she did not hear from me or if one of the two people did not come for it she would ship it.
She also reminded me to be sure they had the receipt OR at least a picture of the receipt or they wouldn't be able to give the dress to them. I said okay and that was the end of the call. I called back on Thursday when I did I spoke to Bren who before she asked me anything told me that my dress had been shipped. I asked her for tracking information, she asked me for my name and phone number and she told me that there was none, that my dress was picked up on March 24th. I let her know that was not possible as I wasn't made aware of the fact that my dress was in the store until the 25th. She goes on to state that the dress was picked up there were NO notes BUT there were detailed notes from the 25th. She told me that she would call me back.
When she did I called customer service prior to her calling me back as at this point I am in over my head with disappointment from David's Bridal. The customer service rep told me the picked up can mean different things. If that is the case why would the associate telling me a bride to be that my dress was picked up if it wasn't, The customer service rep told me that she would look into it and she called me back after 4 that evening. Meaning for the ENTIRE DAY I had no clue where my dress was!!! Customer service told me that the dress was on the manager’s rack. I requested for the issue to be escalated on THURSDAY of last week. To this day I have yet to receive a call from ANYONE in the store OR cooperate! I called on Friday to confirm and someone else answers and tells me the exact same thing! My dress was picked up OR maybe shipped.
I spoke to Matt that day who is looking around and can neither confirm nor deny the location of my dress! Not only that, but there were NO notes added to my case regarding all that happened the day before! And still not one person has reached out to me. I am aware that this issue is not for your store however I feel slighted mostly by David’s Bridal but partially by you as my expectations were not that I would have the fairy tale experience you mentioned, but at least a decent and or smooth one! I am planning my own wedding and this experience with this company has been devastating! As I am overwhelmed already at this point I am not even sure that they know where my dress is! I am scared to call! Nobody has called me!
Dealing with David’s bridal has been the worst experience ever and it keeps getting worst not only from that store’s employees but now up to customer service as well! The lady Kayla that I spoke with today told me that maybe the request to elevate the issue didnt go through due to phone issues they had on Saturday evening when the request was supposed to had been submitted Thursday afternoon! How does that even make sense? Which she realized that it didn't when I said something. Then she told me that my options were to wait ANOTHER 24 to 48 hours or to call back tomorrow which obviously those are my options!
AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE! Thinking that possibly my dress is not there may or may not be in on time for my wedding I can't explain the level of stress this is causing. I am so frustrated and there is nothing I can do but cry. I wish I NEVER stepped foot in David's Bridal! You guys are RUINING my wedding experience!

Luckily I found one and purchased it in size 12 as they didn't have size 10. Alterations were needed around the bust due to size difference (that's what I thought). Went home and checked their website, the dress was available and I was little upset as they didn't even try to check online. Since it was late, I called the next day, explained that same to one of the staffs but she said size 12 and 10 were not that different and she can't help it if dress was available now. Told her it was impossible as I checked the website 2/3 hrs after I purchased the dress.
I don't deny getting agitated as she wouldn't listen to me and just said whatever she had to. Told her it's my first time and I'm overwhelmed and I had nothing against her but she was very rude, didn't seem to be interested. She did explain that alteration around the bust has nothing to do with size of the dress and that 12 and 10 sizes weren't that different at all which I'm sure is right as they know their brand more than I do. She said she could order size 10 but I just didn't want to take any risk since wedding is in June. I like the dress a lot and will stick to what I ordered but I'm very, very unhappy with the way she spoke to me and the attitude. She didn't seem to care much and gave a long sigh when I was explaining my concerns. I'm sure they have many people coming in and out, busy schedules but they could have handled it properly.
First, wrong information about dress not being available as I highly doubt a dress to be available online couple of hours after telling me it wasn't available. Second, rude and bad attitude. I'm probably reacting unnecessarily but being a bride looking for a dress, completely new in town and the experience I went through was very disappointing. I'll collect my dress on the given date but would not recommend any of my friends.

One of my bridesmaid exchanged her dress because the size she order was too big. We call David's Bridal and they made the exchange. We sent the dress and they told us it will get here on March 15th, 2017. We called again just to confirm the order and everything was fine. We called today, March 20th because we haven't received the order yet but we are being told that the order was cancelled and they didn't even call us or sent us an email for our consent or to inform us of the sudden change. The most ** up ** about this is that we wouldn't have known if we didn't called. Our wedding is on April 29th, 2017, so you could only imagine the scare we are currently experiencing right now. I will advise anyone to not go with David Bridal, this anxiety and fear isn't worth it. Right now, their explanation is that the system had a glitch and a rep missed a letter in the email. Unbelievable!

I had appt with David Bridal today. Was so disappointed. The lady measured me, asked me what style of wedding dress I was looking for. I told her what I was looking for then she asked what price range. Once I told her price range she was no longer interested in helping and told me if I would like to look around I could. I was so discouraged that me and my sisters walked out. She didn't even care that we were leaving. I wasted my time and my sisters time. Such a shame. Would not recommend them at all.

Courtney the manager at the David Bridal's located in Westbury, New York completely disregarded the true meaning of customer service. She is did not take responsibility for the errors that were made By her staff, she immediately wanted us out of the store and refused to talk about alternatives except maybe finding another place to do the alterations. I assisted my niece today in her bridal fitting. The process took about an hour and half.
We talked to the tailor Minette who appeared to be very knowledgeable. She asked for the wedding date, talked about my niece's pregnancy and whether she knew the sex of the baby etc. Minette grew a bit concerned about the wedding date which is next weekend and whether they would be able to alter the dress in time. It was an hour and forty five minutes when Bebe (another alterations worker) went to speak with the manager Courtney. When Bebe returned she claimed the manager stated it was not possible to have the dress altered. While speaking with Courtney to assess the situation she appeared to be closed off, self righteous and firm in her stance. We explained that when my niece purchased the dress Matthew was fully aware of the dates. They made the appointment one week before her wedding and no one questioned it because they said it would be a rush and assured her that it would be fine.
I am completely floored that my pregnant, soon to be married niece has to go through the hassle of going through another fitting. No one took responsibility for error or made an attempt that support and despite the disservice we spent more money to purchase shoes and the bridal dresses. Not mention the shoes we purchased are dirty. Courtney must be reprimanded and sent to a customer care development program. Managers are humans. It's critical to connect with the clients beyond, "Give me your card or cash".

When I ordered my mother of the bride dress, I was told it would be made to for my height. They even have record of writing my height down, but later say that it is just a general question they always ask. I was very concerned about the length, so I made sure it was going to be made to for me. Especially with the price I was paying for the dress. Then it started. Two months passed and I still hadn't heard of my dress came in. I finally called them. They had the dress for over 2 months and never contacted me like they said they would. I told them I would be in in a few days as I just got out of the hospital.
Two days later I got a ride phone call demanding my dress be picked up within 7 days. I explained I had just called and they didn't just get my dress in, they have had it for months, I would be there as soon as I could. When I got to the store, they didn't have any customers, but still couldn't find the kindness to help me in the dressing room without me coming out half dressed asking for assistance. They were having more fun talking among themselves. Then, the bomb drops. The dress is at least 5 inches too long. They didn't do what was promised. They didn't make the dress to fit my length.
When I asked about it, she just rudely as I... "we don't do that. You have to pay extra for alterations, but if you want a refund on the dress you can." Really? Like I have time to find a new dress now. They didn't offer a discount on alterations or even care. They care about a sale. The money. Not your day, the event, how you're treated. It's not worth it. I even called the corporate office. They don't care either. The sales people will say anything to make a sale, and then you're screwed. I think they hold the dress until the last minute knowing you can't just go find something else.

Not only did we not get a paper statement and get an email statement a few days before our payment was due... I tried to go into the store to pay the bill on the due date and the employees said I could not pay in-store (which is completely backward). So I go home and go to their website and have to deal with their poorly designed website for 10 minutes. Once I finally find the page for the credit card, I log in and try to make the payment and it says I can't make the payment because it was after 8 pm. It was 8:09. So now I'll have a late fee and get a mark on my credit because I wasted time going to their store and dealing with their website. 9 minutes after 8 is still the same day. Why does David's Bridal have an 8 pm cutoff for an automated service? I don't even think they could tell you. And don't bother trying to talk to customer service, because they can't help you. All they do is tell you what you already know. Thanks for nothing.

I booked an appointment at a bridal expo (mistake number one), fully aware I had well over a year before my wedding. But, I thought it'd be fun to take my daughter out for girls night with my mom and sisters to try on dresses. The girl at the desk was kind of rude, and our "consultant" was all over the place as we awkwardly stood around for a good 15-20 minutes. I told her I want a backless dress (she didn't know what that meant) since my fiance is working on a back tattoo that I would like to show off at our wedding, and she gave me a look of complete disgust.
My stepdaughter, who is only five, was having a blast trying on dresses so I hated to ruin her fun by not wanting to be, until our rude consultant (who I was later told was the worst person I could've had help us) told my daughter she didn't look good in a dress and that She didn't like it (and I get that everybody has an opinion, but don't rain on my kid's parade). Our three hour appointment lasted about an hour of that.

David's Bridal is typically the first place people think of when wedding dress shopping and I wish we would change that, there is so many other options. I would seriously consider looking elsewhere. I would use them as a last resort. Once you put money down even an hour later they will not let you cancel, no returns, no refunds, no matter what. They will pressure you into getting something there with little regard to you or your wedding day. They don't care about you or making you happy for your wedding day, they simply care about getting as much money from you as they can and keeping it.
There are so many options besides them for wedding dresses, check out Macy's, Dillard's, Nordstrom's, JCPenney's, seriously David's is not your only option. Most people have wedding dress doubts after buying one so I'd be sure to consider cancellation and return policies before shopping anywhere, you want to know the place you get your dress from has the ultimate goal of you being happy on your wedding day and that's not the case at David's Bridal.

I have been to David's bridal for several dresses in the past and I have never had a problem before. Now going for my wedding it has been a terrible experience. The woman at the desk was terribly rude to me when I first went in to try wedding dresses on and was so excited. She said I was wasting my time coming in because I didn't have an appointment. So I scheduled an appointment and said I would look around while I was there. I was told to stop going through the dresses and come back when someone was available to help me.
I came back at my appointment time and was helped just fine when it came to my wedding dress. All the girls were sized for their dresses and started picking out which styles they liked. We came back a different day to finish trying the girls' dresses on and order them but they had lost the girls' sizes so we had to start over. Also we had to share one room for 4 girls!! We said we had the bride and 3 bridesmaids! Why not have at least 2 rooms and 2 people for us?! Then the lady kept leaving so we kept sitting around alone. It was ridiculous!
Yet another time we went then after to go and pick up the first bridesmaid's dress. They called me first, then her, and then left yet another voicemail on my phone but this time the guy swore! He said that this was "** ridiculous" and hung up. She went to pick the dress up and they told her at the desk that the dress had been shipped out to my house. They didn't even have my address on file! After she left they then called my phone and said the dress was available for pick up!
After a week of back and forth it was crazy we finally got her dress. Unfortunately we had to pick up 4 more! They never called or emailed for 2 more bridesmaids and when they went together to pick up their dresses it was a disaster. They stood there forever waiting to be helped, people kept going ahead of them, and then finally the mother of one of the girls complained and a manager told her that "David's Bridal didn't need their business and they can go somewhere else for their dresses."
Now a week later another bridesmaids has to pick up her dress and the last one has to order hers. I complained to the manager about the last time when I wasn't in and the fact that yet again no email or call about the bridesmaid dress coming in. I'm appalled that nothing has been done to compensate for all this mess and horrible service other than 10% off of 4 bridesmaids dresses, 1 was paid for prior to the problems. No money back for my dress, no services to steam my veil or dress, nothing to preserve my dress after. These are all services that they could easily provide to make this better and keep me, the bridesmaids, my mom, mother-in-law, and friends coming back. Now no one I ever speak with or my girls speak with would ever go here for anything. That's at least 5 weddings!!! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND DAVID'S BRIDAL TO ANYONE EVER!!!

My daughter ordered and paid for her dress from the Henrietta NY store. It was on sale and the dress tag was marked so. She was told the dress would take 6 to 8 weeks to come in after being made. We paid for the special garment bag as well. 10 days later she was told her dress was in. A friend picked it up for us and when we got the dress it was the same dress she had tried on at the store and had just a plastic bag on it. I could tell the dress was shop worn and I know it was the same dress. I called the manager who told me I could come and pick up the garment bag I paid for but there was nothing they could do about the dress.
I feel that this was totally fraudulent on their part after telling my daughter she would receive a new dress made for her. The manager told me to call customer service and when I dialed the number and waited to be prompted to put in "0" for customer service, the same manager that I had just spoken with picked up! We are just sick about this and should have gone with our gut instinct about David's...

I am a bridesmaids for my friend's wedding. I ordered a dress online and when received, was wrong color. I called online as I was unable to bring to store. The store will not exchange in person, apparently they have no capabilities to do so when a dress is purchased online. So as I call online customer service, I asked to have new dress in right color ordered. Long story short, was charged for 2 dresses after returning original dress. Called my bank. Had them credit my account from David's Bridal. (I still had NO dress at this point and was being charged twice.) Then 5 days later another charge of $139 appears from David's Bridal. I noticed charge went through on a Friday and I saw it on Saturday. Unfortunately, you can not speak to them on weekends... because they are closed!!!
I filed a claim with my bank instead due to the fact they were fraudulent in charging my account a total of 3 TIMES without my authorization when I only authorized a ONE time payment for just ONE dress I purchased. NEVER again will I do business with a David's Bridal!! I have also notified all my friends and family on social media, as word travels faster than anything else... and that's detrimental for a business.

When my girlfriends and I went to pick out our dresses, the woman helping us originally just walked away. No explanation or communication at all. So, we get a new sales rep, who seems painfully annoyed with us. So, we figured out all of the details, and I told her to order my dress. She confirmed it was ordered and would arrive in 15 weeks. Well, yesterday the bride gets a hold of me and tells me that my dress wasn't ordered. We are already cutting it close with their insane wait times for these dresses.
I immediately call the store, to be put on hold immediately. I wasn't even able to ask a question. They answered and said, "Hold please." So after ten minutes of waiting, someone answered and asked if I was being helped. I tell her no, and explain my situation, to be put on hold again. I finally get my dress ordered, ask to speak to a manager, and just my luck, the person I was talking to was an assistant manager, and all she could say was she was sorry. Very unprofessional and unsatisfied.

My bridal party recently purchased their gowns at David's Bridal. My maid of honor ordered her dress three months in advance. However was told the dress wouldn't arrive until 2 days before the day we leave for the wedding (in Mexico). The dress did arrive on time but the quality of the dress was absolutely pathetic. We could have bought better dresses from Target. She had random thread all over her dress, the seams were crooked and noticeable all over the outside, and there was random pieces of fabric sewed all over the inside of the dress.
I called David's Bridal and was told that I would have to bring the dress in before we leave to consider a refund. We didn't have any time to take the dress in because it arrived two days before we left for Mexico. I was told to continue to try to get a hold of customer service. When I asked to speak to a manager I was informed that could not be done and to continue to call customer service. Needless to say I'm very unsatisfied. I have many friends who will be getting married in the near future and I will definitely inform them to go anywhere else but David's Bridal. Together we spent almost $3,000 for some poorly made dresses and terrible service.

DB is now in the bottom 3 of companies that I have dealt with regarding customer service. The call center agents were, for the most part, quite lovely, but it has taken weeks and multiple calls - each time getting a little better, but still leaving some problem behind. I ordered a dress online (because the store couldn't order it for me). They sent me the wrong size. I called to return it and they sent me a mailing label. It was delivered, but no refund was processed. I called to inquire. Apparently, they gave me a mailing label with the wrong address and they had to put me on hold for long stretches of time (with no check-ins - I used to work in a call center and I expect you to check back with me if I've been on hold longer than a few minutes) to try to find where the dress went. The agent said I would get a refund in full. I received an email from the supervisor confirming I would get a refund in full. Then, I only got a partial refund.
When you call the customer service line it tells you to call back tomorrow morning at 10 am... It fails to tell you that is EST. I could have been calling earlier on other days, but they don't communicate it. I also hate that you have to have an appointment, that there are no mirrors (even crappy small ones) in the dressing room so you can make sure you have it on correctly before stepping out into public (my friend had to tell me my chest was hanging out). The fabric quality is poor for what they charge. I'm never going to DB again. I'm telling the world to avoid them, and I am buying a comparably-priced bridesmaid's dress from Nordstrom (best customer service!!!).

I went to David's Bridal thinking I would get the best of everything! Boy was I wrong! My consultant was running between me and another lady. Left me standing there. I found the dress I wanted. I bought it and it was ordered. So today I went to try it on again and I noticed that they left the clear thread hanging all over the dress. My dress is falling apart! The lace and rhinestones are falling off. My train is coming apart and the back is coming apart along with the snaps.
So I called the store where I bought, spoke with the manager, and she said to take it in at 3 when I had appt for my flower girl and matron of honor. She said that I could not do that. She just did not care at all! So I am calling corporate Monday morning to complain! They are either gonna fix this mess or pay for me a brand name dress that will not fall apart before my wedding day in May. I DO NOT RECOMMEND DAVID'S BRIDAL TO ANYONE!! They are rude and all they want is your money!

My daughter ordered a matron of honor rhinestone robe last week (only sold online I assume). Much to her dismay it came in with nothing on the back. When called to inquire about it she kept getting the runaround and at one point was told she would receive another one right away. That was never the case apparently. She was also told it was her fault. No help, no apology...nothing. Today she was told she would not receive another item with the actual rhinestones nor a refund. My question to corporate is...what are you accomplishing? Your image is already in trouble overall in the marketplace. You would think you wouldn't want any more negative public opinion.
My daughter was on hold for roughly 15 minutes today and was hung up. Why upset a bride two weeks before her wedding! She purchased 8 robes from you. Your horrible customer service proceeds this review. Why would you send a customer robe ordered with matron of honor with not one thing on the back? What would be the purpose of ordering it? This situation is uncalled for and just another example of your poor customer service and lack of integrity - go figure. I suggest customers shop elsewhere - anywhere but David's Bridal. In my opinion, you are unfair and after spending hundreds of dollars in your store I feel nothing but remorse for ever visiting, spend money with you or ordering from your .com business. Thank you for a horrible experience!

I was extremely happy with the dress that I bought, and received excellent service in finding and fitting my dress. However, when I went to pick up my dress today, I changed my perspective of David's Bridal. I came in to picked up my dress for the final fitting, and noticed that the little things that needed fixing weren't taken care of.
There were many loose strings, one string with beads that I specifically asked them to fix, and a new hole. The hole was in the mesh fabric and was fairly small, about the size of my pointer finger nail. The thing that really upset me was when I was trying to point it out to the alterations lady that was there. She automatically stated that they did not make that hole and that she spent SO much time on the dress that there was no way that hole was there. I have tried that dress on 2 times before my final fitting, and that hole was not there. Although, all of the other little things were there which is why I asked them to fix them (which they didn't).
I asked her if there was any way we could fix it as she was still trying to argue and make me feel like I put that hole in the dress. She didn't even offer to try and fix it or do something to make it look better. I felt like I was being rushed out, and like I wasn't worth her time. The hole wasn't the main problem, it was how I was treated and got blamed for it. True customer service would want to go out of their way to ensure customer's happiness. It's also frustrating that the alterations costed almost as much as my dress, and gained a hole in doing so. I will be sure to leave feedback wherever possible about this incident in hopes that you will get your staff better customer service skills. I will not recommend getting alterations done at David's Bridal.

I have never had a good experience at David's but I have never been the bride. I made an appointment for Saturday 10/22/16 to bridesmaid dress shop and possibly look for a wedding dress. We went by ourselves to search for bridesmaid dresses and no one was there to help or tell us where to put all these dresses. As we tried on dresses no one was there to provide clips for the dresses that were too big.
As we got near the end of dresses I asked to try on a dress to show the girls. It was a Vera Wang gown that costs about $1300. They pointed to a wall, said "this is Vera and try on what you want." Like seriously!! I made an appointment so that someone would be there to help me and we got very little attention. I put on a size 10 wedding dress, mind you I am a size 2, and had to have a bridesmaid help hold it tight so I could show everyone. I was so disappointed with the lack of service that we left and I will not buy any of the dresses from there.
