Hello, this is my experience as a homeowner with SunPower. Currently, they have filed for bankruptcy, and there was no safety net in place for customers. It's like being on a hamster wheel when trying to reach out to the appropriate personnel. I am in the process of selling my house, and prior to signing up with SunPower, they offered a flexible and relaxed transfer for the lease. However, the new company that bought SunPower changed the transfer process without even contacting me. I believe they should have revised the contract with their existing customers instead of pushing any unethical practices on us. They are horrible. It's impossible to get anyone to discuss or talk with, and they clearly don't care about the consumer. If you ask for any information it's 2 weeks if anyone, actually get back to you. It's horrible.

It's been well over a month, and the ongoing issue with the functionality of my Solar Panels remains unresolved. Approximately 6-7 weeks ago, I reported the problem I noticed via the app. After spending about an hour on the phone, I was informed that a technician needed to visit the site for inspection. Initially, a date was provided for four weeks later, which I agreed upon. However, I was later notified that this date wasn't available, leading to a rescheduled appointment six weeks from my initial call. With no other option, I accepted this change. Upon the technician's visit, it was determined that the problem appeared to stem from an outdated 3G system that required an upgrade to 4G, which was promptly done. I was assured that the system would be monitored for the next 48 hours to ensure proper functionality. However, even after this period, when I checked the app, it displayed zero solar production despite clear and sunny weather the previous day.

BE AWARE OF SUNPOWER’S LACK OF MONITORING HOW EFFICIENT YOUR SYSTEM IS WORKING OR IF IT IS WORKING AT ALL. I have had the solar panels for 1 year. I received a bill from SCE for over $1700. I found out that my panels were disconnected from my system and were not contributing to my electricity consumption. Also due to the disconnect my app was not working and there is no alerts set up to be sent to the customer indicating any issues. When I contacted the company I was told that once the system is set up it’s up to me to monitor performance. When I suggested to speak to their consumer satisfaction department to suggest that they have better system for monitoring the performance of the system and alerts for any disruptions, I was told that the company has no such capability. Once system is set up, clients have to do all the monitoring and quality check on their own. I wish I had selected Sunrun with Costco.
