Updated on 04/11/2026: I’m a negative review below. I’m seeing a lot of “How to CANCEL your contact or lease adds”. We paid ours off and I’ve given up ever receiving assistance from Convert Solar! Solar is a great source of renewable energy but this company is not worth the paper the contract is written on!
Original Review: We are pleased with the overall function of our Solar Panels but are very dissatisfied be the lack of ASSISTANCE after installation. We had four trees removed for the original installation and last month another branch removed from our last remaining tree. We chose Convert Solar because they are local and thought Customer Service would be easier to deal with a local company but this is not the case. Our panels were installed February 2024, in Spring of 2025 we noticed our neighbors having wire guards installed around their panels and asked our representative WHY this guard was not offered to us. We've spent hours on our roof blowing out leaves and branches as we read this is a fire hazard.
Convert Solar came back to us with a contract for "Critter Guards" at a cost of $1040 after we already paid $51,362.00 and the contract reads, by adding ourselves or paying another company, it could void the WARRANTY on our Panels. I have been sending correspondence since August of this year and can NOT get clear answers from Convert Solar. So YES buy Solar but Chose a different company! PS: I could not upload pictures or contract
This is not accurate. The customer will not answer calls and only sends letters demanding free critter guard because it wasn’t originally installed. We are not responsible for trees on their property. Critter guard wasn’t discussed at the consultation because it wasn’t deemed necessary. When the customer requested it this summer, we agreed to install it for a fee, but they refused and insisted it be done for free.
