Promotes Scams!!!! All of their pre-approvals are not legitimate!!!! Fraud!!!

Beware of their “approval odds good or get paid $50”. Total BS. I had a hard hit in my credit, got denied for the loan then Credit Karma refused to pay the $50. Total scam.

Car refinance offers that are supposed to be 'tailored' for my personal credit profile/score are one big waste of time. They tell you they can significantly lower current rate and/or payment, but once the lender such as AutoPay or Tresl comes up with an 'offer', APR turns out to be twice as high as current loan and payment also higher. Absolutely ridiculous!

Credit score with Transunion and Equifax unfortunately is a system that is a trash that gives to the people in USA a qualification score base on rules that they create, I had a frustrating experience with this service. The credit score information was confusing, customer support didn't resolve my issue, and it took too long to get answers. I expected more transparency and better service. I wouldn't recommend it based on my experience.

Not helpful at all in solving the problem. I applied for the guaranteed offer from Credit Karma but there is no response back from the Merrick credit card company. I went to credit karma chat support. But Emily C. was no help with resolving the issue and no help living up to their "guarantee". They only advised to just wait longer. Then they hung up on me and abruptly ended the help chat. How rude and deliberately unhelpful is that? Credit karma should help with this or uphold their "guarantee" with the offer. They don't care at all if what they offer is a scam or not.

Waste of time trying to dispute anything. Will tell you here's a card with no impact to score. LIE!!!!

Credit Karma is so slow with credit scores. It makes you figure it out by yourself before the credit is posted, then makes you think you have all this credit you do not have. You could dance a party before credit karma picked it up. If anything be diligent on your accounts. It is just a little chalkboard to look at and don't trust their opinion. All they want is you to apply for a credit cards to make them money.

Suggests loans/cards/etc. with “outstanding” odds of approval. Once you finish the process and have received multiple soft and hard hits to your report, you then find out “nah, we can’t approve that.” Really a time suck of a process. This is clearly just a data farming app. All it’s really good for is monitoring your score. Everything other service “provided” is laughable.

I used Credit Karma to receive my State Refund, and afterwards attempted to transfer that money into my bank account - instead the attempt saw money being drawn FROM my bank account and into my Credit Karma account. When I called to get this reversed as it was in error, I was brought to Jessica M., a Supervisor. Not only was it clear that she was reading from a script, but she insisted that she was the final point of service and would not/could not escalate this further to the actual one above her in Customer Service. Those that use this service should be made well aware of the inadequacies of the Customer Service, as well as the scripted nature of the service in question as well as their refusal to see whatever problems you are having through.

This was the worst customer experience I've ever had. The loan officer, Tate, claimed to be a senior loan officer, but it became very apparent that wasn't true by the end of this experience. I have an 800 credit score and made well over the required amount per month to qualify for a refinance on my house. Somehow they managed to screw up my income with the underwriting process and put in only 1/3 of my total income, even though I had provided W-2s multiple pay stubs and everything they needed. They told me at the end they couldn't go back or change anything about it and they wouldn't refund me my $500 for the rate lock in fee. I will never use the Credit Karma again. They are truly awful.

When I just used Credit Karma to track my scores it was fine, great even. But they have a Credit Guarantee to encourage you to get more credit cards. They say if you are turned down they will give you $50. I applied for a loan with One Main based on that. I was turned down. When I reached out to them they told me I needed a denial letter in order to collect. I have found no way to contact the lender. All the info they sent me kept taking me back to the same page with no relevant info, no actual way to contact the lender except an email they successfully ignore. And an ongoing attempt to work with Credit Karma which does nothing useful. It is my opinion that this us nothing but a scam that will negatively impact your credit if you try to use it.

Credit Karma is the worst Credit helping service EVER! They suggest you apply for things based on your Credit and they aren’t even accurate. How the hell is my credit going to get better if I never get any chances or help from companies? I have had the worst things happen to me in the last eight years and no one will even try to help my credit recover. Credit Karma is a lying ass company that sets you up for the NO ANSWER! They suck! They lie and take kickbacks from companies.

Do not use the mortgage companies they recommend. We got scammed out of our deposit by Better.com. Refinance was not approved but new terms proposed which did not work at all for us. Refused to return our deposit. They do not have integrity with their terms. Complete scam.

Shame on Credit Karma! No access to my Social Security deposit, they froze account with no reason and no notice. Defaulting on obligations and accumulating late fees because no one at customer service can do anything. Stay away! They are worsening my credit score.

Credit Karma is nothing more than a group of fraudulent scammers! They claimed you could sign up for a tax return advancement, however, I haven't been able to log in to the account at all. I have uploaded countless scans of my license (front & back) as well as my face up close. There are no real people to talk to just the same people to chat with after they have all of your information. I don't think a business that asks for your social, license, and personal info should not have a customer service to speak with. Once you ask them about their strange behavior, they disconnect you and send you to another person. No resolutions given at all.

I was locked out of my account because verification texts stopped coming through on my phone. Budgeting was almost nonexistent since Credit Karma bought Mint. Took much longer for balances to update. Pretty much useless.

Credit Karma is not reliable and misleading. A couple of times I’ve exposed my credit to apply for offers that CK claims I have “outstanding” odds on, and both times, I was declined. Thanks for the hard inquiries on my credit report Credit Karma!

Credit Karma offers auto refinance offers with specific rates and when you accept that offer the finance company doesn't honor them and there are of course additional fees. Don't trust Credit Karma. You have to input all your financial data and employment info so Credit Karma now has all your data.

This site is untrustworthy. They say they recommend apply for a card without impact on your score. I applied, got denied for a card and I got a hard inquiry on my fico score drop of 6-8 points. I called them and they said I could resolve this by paying $99.00 to remove inquiry, after they said I would have no impact, I'll never trust this site again.

They show aggression rate of interest for new loans which are completely wrong. You land up in sharing SSN and other PII information. Stay away from this company. This has not happened once but multiple times now.

Since December 3rd I have been locked out of my account trying to get the support team to help me get into my account. I have spent countless hours on the phone always receiving the same results of a specialist would be reaching out to me or my case has been escalated and someone would be reaching out to get me into my account. Three weeks end and it's becoming more difficult for me by the second. I asked for access into my account so they take it upon themselves to lock me out of my account. I can't transfer my money to linked account, use my debit card for purchases or use the credit option to spend my money. I have sent copies of my identification to the support team and everything. I ask to speak with someone other than the person who I am receiving no help from and I quote "Sir there's no one other than myself who can help you."

Credit Karma has help me from the beginning to get credit cards and a personal loan. It made me see what I personally need to do by paying my bills on time. But the offers on the credit cards and personal loans are a rip off. The interest may be low but the pay back is half of what you borrowed. Companies are robbing people with bad credit or should I people who are financially struggling, Thank you the tips. I can take it from here. Plus you are reporting information on profile that the current or accuracy.

Worst credit monitoring of all. The scores are too volitale and they are grossly inaccurate. They track 30-40 points from the real FICO 8 and FICO 9. It’s just a stupid system to try to get you on more credit cards.

I mean zero if I could! I have long struggled with my credit, some due to bad decisions, but mostly medical bills...I decided to join Credit Karma as I was working to rebuild years of low scores...I was quite proud when I got into high 600s and then I started getting all these "suggestions" to open a new, move that balance, then you are approved for this card or "we" credit karma will pay you 50$ (they never btw) and as I was getting close to max they would say it will help your score if you open a new card...so it was constant...Anyway, 6 months down the road I owe more than I can pay! They are all behind and some are now charging me so much interest, late fees and the balance is 3 times the credit line!!! I have too many open and income has decreased significantly...It is a mess.. Don't get me wrong...I am in charge of what I do, but I feel like I was lead down this path of destruction by trusting that credit karma was a good thing!!

The IT person did not help me any of my questions at all. It's frustrating. I with them for an hour and accomplished nothing. Very poor customer service. I cannot say any more. I just needed a help to get my Credit Karma account set up. Nothing done. This person has no experience on IT support at all.

Read the reviews. There are more one star negative reviews than the total two, three, four and five star combined. Says they check credit daily - NOT A CHANCE - they still show a 30+ day balance on a credit card that was paid online in full the day the invoice was received. The site serves no purpose other than to try and entice you into applying for additional credit cards, loans and auto insurance. Seems pretty obvious, at least to me, that Credit Karma makes the majority of their money from redirecting you to these other sites which then will bombard you with spam email to try and get you to commit. Think I’m just a bitter user with low credit score? Current 819 with TransUnion and 830 with Equifax. To me Credit Karma is a waste of time unless you’re just bored and have nothing else to do. Go directly to each individual credit reporting bureau for your accurate and CURRENT information.

I haven’t read a ton of reviews on Credit Karma, but I’ve read enough to know that people sometimes put too much stock in it. I first signed up for CK about 7–8 years ago, back when I couldn’t even get a regular bank account and needed a way to direct deposit my paychecks. I didn’t use it much at the time, but about three years ago I started using it more seriously as part of my credit rebuilding journey. Back then, my credit was in terrible shape.

Credit Karma will send you pre-approval notifications in their app. When you open the notification to read it, they will apply on your behalf for the product without your permission. They deny that they apply and they refuse to make it right. I have never applied for a credit card or a loan through credit karma EVER. Opening and reading a notification from CK is nowhere near the same thing as applying for the service. Credit karma needs to fix this and take responsibility. Now it looks like I applied for CC and a loan I didn’t apply for.

Last email I sent was on the 22 of Aug. I get updates every day from Credit Karma but for some reason for the last month I haven't been able to get a v-code in my email but I never ever had this problem now. So, I have been emailing their support team and haven't gotten any results.

Asides the fact that they steal your info, I can't understand asking for a card transfer of $25k and getting a $2k worth which I had to get another credit repair company to finally fix my credit. I wish I knew all these before using this company.

They will run your credit without your approval. They send you false information. Bait and switch on their ads. Terrible experience. Terrible app. Sent me guaranteed approval loan and credit card offers and then got declined. Terrible Company. Terrible experience.

I’ve spent hours and hours trying to get them to fix a glitch in THEIR system but just wasted 3 days as they don't care and will DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to fix their own system. Sent 30 emails back and forth. They state they do not have a tech dept and the ** just send the same worthless answers that actually do nothing. Hundreds of hours working to try to fix it along with customer service, I have given up. Their customer service may as well be ai for the NO GOOD they claim to do. NOTHING!

They give me a auto loan refinance offers with an OUTSTANDING chance to lower my payments and what I get is more credit report inquiries and a very rude response from the Nasa and it reducing my credit score. 😡 I didn’t even really need the loan, but I thought it would be nice to lower my payment. Don’t trust anything on this site…it’s full of scammers who pay CK. 😑

Can't log in no matter what I've tried. At all. And no way to reset password or contact them directly. I have been using Credit Karma for year but all of a sudden I am locked out. At this point, I am just wanting to close/cancel my account. Don't think that's gonna be possible. Sad.

I was given a notification from Credit Karma saying that my chance was excellent to be approved for this card and if I was declined I was guaranteed $50. Was declined, due to that my score was lowered and it appears I will not be receiving "spin" by 2 different agents (Albert and Claire).... both whom claimed that I bought a 2025 car in October, and now 8 1/2 months later my score in insufficient. Which has no merit and if it did.... my screenshots show, the credit score, the guarantee, and the denial! All this worth $50? Ya, it is... Companies can't just lie.... I know they do.... but credit karma claims to be out there to help. Well they did, they helped me out of a credit card, btw I only have 1, so I'm not in debt.... and they helped me out of a higher credit rating. Just the beginning.

They do not deserve any stars. Credit Karma is the worst company ever, I called them to receive a new card and for some reason it took over 3 weeks and I still didn't receive it. I called them and they gave me some crap about it may have got lost in the mail so they had to deactivate that and expedite one, I called on a Tuesday to do that but on the app it said I requested the card on Friday. I don't recommend anyone to get involved with this company. Oh and that wasn't even the best part. I asked them what if I close my account. They said I would have to wait 2-3 business days to receive my money.

I have been contacting this company for weeks via email and phone regarding a dispute for good I never received. I have emails, call logs, etc., and have tried providing the company with proof that I have been unable to contact them, as I never received my goods. I submitted my dispute on June 22, 2025 and have yet to even have them begin reviewing the case, dispute my need for these funds to be returned, telling me it has to follow this long draw out procedure for every dispute (which no one will explain dispute me asking numerous times the procedure/info/ etc needed and why it take 90 days). HOWEVER, I submitted a different dispute, which was reviewed and denied in under 8-12 hours. When I contacted them, they couldn't explain why they broke their own policy to deny this case in less than a day, but they've yet to even begin reviewing the other cases.

They allowed Avant to access my credit report and place a hard inquiry for a loan application that I did not apply for! Now it's up to me to dispute it on my reports! I was using Credit Karma to track my score. I worked hard to raise my score so I could trade in my car and get an auto loan. All my efforts went down the drain! I only obtain loans from Navy Federal and USAA. Do not trust Credit Karma!

I have been a long term customer for years. I faithfully have my paycheck deposited every 2 weeks like clock work, yet they have, without warning, reduced my protection and will not change it back. I've tried speaking with customer service but part of the issue is that there is a significant language barrier. I am not trying to be malicious, but there really should be some, English as a first language speakers, answering calls. I can barely understand the agents and it is frustrating.
