On April 2nd, a Dairyland customer ran the red light and t-boned me, therefore totaling my paid off vehicle. He was cited and in the police report it states that he was at fault. I filed my claim on April 4th. I expressed that I needed a rental car in order to get to work. I was told that I would not receive a rental car until they do an investigation. Here it is: May 19th. Claim still pending. Claims representative and claims adjuster dodging calls and being nonresponsive. I have spent almost 2 grand riding uber and lyft to work. I have never encountered a sham insurance company like this.

If I could give zero stars, I would. If you are hit by a Dairyland/Sentry insured driver, be prepared for a nightmare of bad faith practices. Their client caused a total loss accident and lied on the official police report. Instead of handling the claim fairly, Dairyland’s adjusters (Shannon and Manager Dawn **) have engaged in textbook unfair trade practices to avoid paying the Actual Cash Value (ACV) of my vehicle.
They operate on a "take it or leave it" mentality, hoping victims will just give up out of exhaustion. I refuse to be bullied. I have already filed a formal complaint with the Florida Department of Financial Services (DFS) regarding their violations of Florida Statute 626.9743 and Unfair Claim Settlement Practices. Save yourself the headache. If their driver hits you, don't even bother negotiating with them. File through your own insurance or take their driver straight to Small Claims Court.

If I could give the -5 stars I would. Worst experience ever!!!! My car broke down so I cancelled insurance before it was due, they made up charges for short term policy and cancellation and still sent me a bill. I then got a new car and decided to start insurance with them. Had their policy for 3 days, found cheaper insurance. They charged me $274 for the 3 days I had them and also a final bill for $84.

I pay Dairyland Insurance $210.00 per month for full insurance coverage on one vehicle which is a Buick Encore GX. I filed 2 claims with them (close to one another) because I hit 2 deer. They started out okay with the claims process but quickly "changed their tune" after hearing my car was experiencing mechanical issues and going into "limp mode" because of damages to some of the components in the front end area of the car which is exactly where both accidents occurred. Being that I am the ONLY person who was present during both of these accidents (other than the deer) and the ONLY person who truly knows exactly what occurred, I told them what happened and that the car ran perfectly before the accidents.
Now the car stays in limp mode. Instead of trying to HELP me figure out the best course of action to fix the problems, A Dairyland rep called me and stated that they do not believe the mechanical issues relate to the accidents and the car will need to be assessed by a dealership first and paid for by me before they agree to do anything with the mechanical issues. This rep based her decision on a few photos I sent them and a video of the damages to the front end of my car. I'm sure they googled "limp mode" before making this determination, as well.
My view on this is that Dairyland should have called me and asked exactly what happened to my car mechanically (in my opinion) in relation to the accidents and tried to work with me to resolve the issues instead of starting out by doubting what I have said is true, instructing me to get these issues fixed first before any repairs can be done and being instructed by a rep to give the dealership her name and number and have them call her. (I am NOT her secretary and I do not work for Dairyland. They work for me).
May I also add that Dairyland is happy to take my payment EVERY month so why aren't they happy to spend a little time and make an effort to actually keep me as a customer instead of alienating the heck out of me and ignoring an email I sent them telling about the mechanical issues with the car and asking if they thought I should have a dealership look at it FIRST before any repairs began. I never would have sent Dairyland such an email (which was totally ignored) if I weren't 100% sure the mechanical issues are a result of the 2 accidents. I was asking for their permission to carry the car to the dealership because the mechanical problems come directly from the damages to the front end of my car. The car goes into limp mode because of the damages to the front end of this car. It is not hard to figure this out but Dairyland needs an expert to tell them what their customer has been telling them all along.
I drive this car and know it better than anyone. I am the expert when it comes to this car and its performance. Everyone is not a liar nor trying to pull a con on their insurance company but Dairyland certainly has made me feel as though they think I am in this situation. I happen to want my car fixed just like it was before the 2 accidents because I like my car and plan to drive it for a very long time. I won't say that Dairyland will be insuring this car any longer once this nightmare is over.

This is the worst insurance Company anyone could ever have, they change your policy without your knowledge. They put me at fault for an accident I was not at fault for. They keep raising the monthly fees. All insurance companies are scams. I asked the universe to shut down this Dairyland insurance company and don't allowing them to ever even open the company under and another name. 'May the dust of my feet be upon this Dairyland and bring it to the ground and be no more completely eradicated.'. So shall it be, Ashe, Ashe, Ashe.

My husband was hit by an insured by Dairyland. Their driver was at fault and totaled my husband's car. Their driver was delivering packages for Amazon, and also the son of the policy holder so it was mentioned that they would not be covering the accident. Amazon has a supplemental policy that will cover but only AFTER the formal denial of coverage is made. It has been over 6 weeks and no denial yet with the "review process" not scheduled for 2 more weeks! In the meantime no rental car coverage and no reimbursement for my husband's car.

We are not customers of Dairyland Insurance, yet a private investigator claiming to work on their behalf showed up at our home and questioned my 11-year-old daughter without permission or an adult present. This incident had nothing to do with our household, and yet my child was approached and involved in a situation she had no connection to.
I called Dairyland to report the incident and spoke with Daniel, a night shift customer service supervisor, who was dismissive, rude, and completely unhelpful. Instead of addressing the seriousness of the situation, he told me to call back on Monday to speak with the claims department — as if a grown man approaching a child didn’t warrant immediate concern.
I am now in the process of filing a formal complaint with the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) as well as escalating the issue to the Dairyland claims department directly. The fact that a company would send — or even contract — investigators who show up at unrelated homes and speak to minors without verifying anything is beyond alarming. It shows a complete lack of oversight and ethics. We don’t have a policy with Dairyland, and yet we were forced to deal with this intrusion. If this is how they operate, I strongly advise anyone considering this company to look elsewhere.

This company is horrible, Thieves I would need to say, when I started my policy I was insuring two vehicles one was registered in Florida and one registered in Georgia, I explained that I one was registered in GA as my license is from GA and it is my primary residence, they charged me a down payment and additional payments for both cars for an insurance policy for Florida only which was of no use to me in GA, once I found out about the discrepancy, I contacted them and they proceeded to tell me I needed a new insurance policy for GA and wanted to charge me again another down payment of $378 dollars for basic liability coverage for one vehicle, basically they wanted to charge twice for something I already paid.
When speaking with supervisor Emely and then a manager Debbie they proceeded to basically tell me tough luck if you want the issue resolved you would need to pay again for a new policy because if I didn’t I would not be able to renew my tags and this happened around my birthday, they new I was stuck between a rock and a hard place and took advantage of that. So sad companies such as this one exists.

The worst insurance company I've ever dealt with! I was with Dairyland for several renewals. This company took out extra payment just before the holidays, without my Authorization. That was over $968. In one month. I had to STOP AUTO PAY.. And all they said was it's due to a glitch in the system. I had to wait multiple days for a reversal of my money.. They have no compassion or respect for the people that this screwed over..
And now that I went with a BETTER Company with Same coverage and over $229.00 a month cheaper..and ask when I cancelled my policy.. And they can’t cancel the day you want/call in.. It’s on the next business day, so they and charge for that day as well.. Each person you talk to you you get a different response or a explanation of why they do things the way they do..

This is the most disgusting insurance buying experience I've ever experienced. I told the agent that I had held a US driver's license for one year and had five years of other countries driving experience. However, the agent recorded on the contract that I had 11 years of driving experience, thus the price I received was $382. I do not believe agents would lie about this. As a result, when signing the contract, this minor detail was overlooked (after all, who would check it?). One month later, I suddenly received an email that I had to pay an additional $1,300. I called to cancel the policy, and now they are even charging me a cancellation fee of $107. This is really a scam company, it's awful!

This company sent my confirmation that my payment had processed then cancelled my policy saying I made no attempt to pay. They never sent a notice that it was cancelling. I found out by logging into the app and the app telling me I have no policy. I called and the rep was rude and dismissive. I told her I had a ref # and she told me it didn't make any difference because they aren't showing it on their end. If I hadn't checked in on it, I would have gone the entire month without insurance not realizing it. She restarted it for me, for an extra charge and made a point to tell me the extra charge was because I didn't pay when I have a ref # that is attached to an email stating my payment had PROCESSED.
I understand it did not process on their end, but they sent zero notice of that leaving me in the dark until I reconcile my bank statement and find it myself. DO NOT use this company. A technical issue in their system such as this could cause someone to drive uninsured and not know it. They didn't seem interested at all in trying to fix the issue in their own system. I won't be renewing. Doing some digging I realize they are for high-risk drivers, I signed up via the Jerry app for lower rates. I'm not a high-risk driver so I'll just take my money somewhere else.

Police found their covered driver to be completely at fault (she received multiple tickets) when she pulled out at a stop sign and into the path of our truck. She had a two-year-old in the back seat who was not in a car seat or even belted in. Despite the police report, the representative will not cover the accident because we failed to not hit their driver's car. Nonsense. Their insured driver caused the accident. Period. Whatever the damage, it's on her. When I called to open a claim with Dairyland, I learned that the other driver had already opened the claim on our behalf. So at least they're trying to do the right thing.
Interestingly, when the estimator arrived to assess the damage, he asked what the other party's insurance company is...I guess he didn't already know? When I told him it was Dairyland, his response was "Oh, that should be interesting." Good grief! Really?! Obviously, they've got a bad reputation! We are now going to involve our insurance company to fight on this claim.
Thank you for your review, W Gabba. We have passed this along to the management of our claims area to make them aware of your concerns.

Today is 12/30 and Dairyland has yet to make a determination of coverage!! They claim, they are/have been unable to contact the policyholder, I found the person on Facebook, the person's business name and license number, and the person's family members along with other information within the first 3 days after receiving a copy of my police report. Dairyland has been using this excuse for over 5 weeks!! They won't even provide us with a rental car, which I asked for from day one.
My van is not safe to drive due to their customer's vehicle hitting us!! I don't know what's going to happen next. I have sought legal counsel though. We are still waiting, by the way, I carry uninsured motorist coverage on my van. I had called and cancelled my automobile coverage BEFORE it was due because Dairyland refused to offer a better deal. I found another company that had better rates. Then today I receive a notice from DAIRYLAND that if I refused to pay, they would "assign the account to a collection agency". Collection Agency?? What insurance company does that? In the past when I have changed insurance companies, I usually get a check for the unused prorated time left on the policy, this time I just figured I had no refund coming....but never got a threatening letter because I wanted to cancel their coverage.
When I called DAIRYLAND the young lady said that I need to pay the amount due, THEN I can cancel the policy. WHAT? I reminded her that I had called and cancelled the policy almost 2 months ago. She said there was no record of it and I still owed payments. I reiterated to her that I owed no payment as I HAD CANCELLED THE ACCOUNT! (Last year when I was 3 days late with the payment, I received an email cancelling my coverage if I did not pay within a specified time...I called and made my payment.)
Anyway, I, again, instructed her to cancel the account and not to send me anymore correspondence other than confirmation of the cancellation, and hung up.What do you wanna bet they still, either send me a bill....or actually turn it over to a collection agency. I know a good lawyer biting at the bit to sue an insurance company.

For the record, I do not have a policy with Dairyland. This is my experience of being hit by one of their insured drivers. After my parked car was hit, we started the painful claims process. They gave me a representative who was on vacation the entire first week of this ordeal, making it extremely difficult to contact anybody who had any clue what was going on, and made it even more difficult for the collision shop when the estimate wasn't even right in the first place. The estimate was based on pictures that I took of the car, not an actual qualified professional who could have made a proper estimate right then and there. Different parts needed to be ordered, estimate needs redone, creates delays. Lack of communication between Dairyland and collision shop creates even more delays.
Even though NONE of these delays are my fault, today I get a call that they aren't paying for my rental anymore, giving me approximately 3 hours on a Wednesday to figure out how to handle the situation. Now, the financial responsibility for the rental is on me until my car is out of the shop. My PARKED car was hit, and now I am out of pocket because nobody has their act together! The way they have been constantly harassing me, calling several times a day while I'm at work because they can't reach the collision shop and putting the pressure on me to contact the rental car place or the collision shop. That's your job, not mine! This entire process sucks, it would have been easier if this was a hit and run because my insurance GEICO would have had this handled professionally AND they would have been courteous and HELPFUL through the process. If you were thinking of getting this insurance, don't do it. Garbage company.
We're sorry to hear about your frustrating experience. We are passing your comments along to the management of our claims department for review.

So I was very skeptical about how my experience with Dairyland was going to be but everything carried out better than my worries. I was rear-ended by someone, at a red light, who carried Dairyland insurance. We called the police, he admitted fault and the report was issued. I called Dairyland that day, made a claim and spent about 30 minutes on the phone. Next day, the adjuster calls me and I don't answer because I was at work but I called back during lunch and he still didn't answer. After reading reviews I was afraid he was going to ignore my calls and my car would never get fixed. I called a second time and no answer. I called a third time and he finally answers, has me download an app to upload the pictures of where my car was hit and submit them. I do all this on Monday. He said I will be called by someone to give me the initial estimate. Next day, I do not receive a call.
I call my adjuster to check up on the status of my claim. I called three times and no answer. I called the next day and he answered on my third phone call. He said they deemed my car a total loss on Tuesday, which I had no knowledge of. He said I would receive a call the next day too from Michael to follow up and explain the next steps. The next day came by and I was pleasantly surprised to receive a call from Michael to explain to me how much I will receive and what is going to be done with my car. I then called Monday after they picked up my car, and my adjuster Doug happily provided me with a car rental reservation for the week until I find a car. This took one week! I am very happy of the outcome. I do think that my adjuster needs to be more aware of his phone though. All this happened in one week!

We had insurance with this company for a while. We started to get messed up bills from them then we overpaid them and tried to get the overpayment back and they kept giving us the runaround and lots of excuses so we gave them the benefit of doubt and told them to just go ahead and put it on the next billing. Well we decided to go with another company and they were so rude then I was told that we can not get a refund for the overpayment. I really think this company needs to be investigated. They are not good to do business with.

My wife was struck by one of their clients. I called and completed a lengthy interview. When it was my turn to ask a simple question “does your client have insurance?” the games began. First it was two days to two weeks for their “insurance investigation” which quickly turned a number of days later to “2 months” to complete. Dealt with their Stevens Point, WI location and spoke with Kara. Could not have been less helpful or dismissive. These folks should be investigated for trying to avoid their responsibility to accident victims. Now it’s time to hire a lawyer, something I really don’t like doing but they offer you no options.
