I started a new policy on July 6, 2018 with a local agent here in Pensacola. The lady that helped with my policy was very very nice and knowledgeable and was able to get me lower rates than what she has quoted me at first! She sent my ID cards through email so I could get my vehicle legal and everything went smooth. I then had to contact Dairyland insurance customer service and they was not helpful whatsoever!! They also told me I didn’t have a policy! The lady hung up on me when I started questioning where my money had went and asked her how I got ID cards if I didn’t have a policy! I hope to never have to deal with customer service again and will definitely be going through my local agent if I need anything!!!

No exaggeration within the subject title (Worst insurance company I have ever used!!!). I mean that with every fiber in my being. Check out their Google reviews, it's not filled with people that have a connection to the inside of the company like on this site. They screwed me out of 58 bucks when I sold my car and cancelled the policy. If it was more money I would have wrote the BBB on these cheapskates. These guys' customer service sucks, it takes half Hr to get someone on the phone, and once it took like 2 days of me calling to get a person on the phone. You use these guy, I guarantee you won't be a happy camper. Thank God I never got into a wreck and need to make a claim. That would have been hell. 2 thumbs and 2 big toes way way down. Find another company, don't give them your money!!!! You would be better burning it!!!

I was hit in a parking lot by a person that was insured by Dairyland Ins. I put in a claim with them for damages to my auto. I must say, I was treated with the utmost respect and compassion by the claim representative, Tasha **. Ms ** instructed me on what to do and how to do it. She always responded to my calls, she conversed with the auto body shop that I was using and also the car rental. Everything went extremely smooth, no complications, no waiting, the claim was paid to my satisfaction. It was a pleasure dealing with this company and I would give them 5 stars for what they do and how they do it! Thank you Tasha ** and Dairyland Ins!!!

If you get hit by one of their drivers like I did don't bother speaking to them, just immediately hire the biggest scumbag ambulance chasing attorney and you'll be in better company.

The purchasing process was easy enough. I found through a website my previous company recommended. Dairyland Auto Insurance gave discounts through my work. Seemed like a good company to work with, and did not find too many bad reviews online. Rates started off great, then when it came time for renewal, I was turned off from their company and decided to go with a better one. Policy renewal fees were horrible. Rates for the next year ended up being higher than their competitors'. Getting to a live person took quite a while. And when I tried to find out why rates were worse or to find out if they price matched competitors it felt like they were getting annoyed with me which made me worry about having to file a claim if I were ever in an accident.

I disliked the entire policy that I had and I didn't care for the company at all. They charged me an arm and a leg for my insurance policy, I had to pay $425 a month and it was horrible. I had no choice but to go through them because my aunt was the one who got me the policy and she said that Dairyland is a really good insurance to have. But I couldn't ever get sold of anyone anytime I called. My overall experience of trying to get insurance through them was completely and totally horrible. I ended up selling my car 2 months later because I just couldn't afford to pay 425 a month.

The insurance was reasonably priced and the down payment was inexpensive. Also had an SR-22 additionally along with towing and theft protection. I had this insurance through this company for a short period of time. And I would have liked to have gotten more information about the company when I received my insurance card as well as get discounts for safe driving. It was easily purchased through a company that finds best insurance provider based on driving record for lowest cost. However, eventually I switched to another provider due to increase of coverage and pricing.

Dairyland was one of only 2 companies we found that were willing to cover ALL of our vehicles, including a one ton dually, which is not a commercial vehicle, and out of those two companies, they were not only much less expensive, but actually willing to offer coverage even though we had just had a short lapse in coverage due to a bill not getting paid. So, in the end, Dairyland was the only company we were able to find, after both going through brokers and doing research on our own, that was willing to give us any kind of coverage. The lower price was just a wonderful perk.
I usually insist on top of the line insurance. I have been hit several times and suffer permanent injuries because of these accidents that were not my fault so I know, better than most, that the insurance company's reputation of responsiveness and willingness to understand each customers' needs are more important than virtually any other aspect. At this time, I know virtually nothing about Dairyland and how they do business. They seem to have a decent reputation, but I'd really like to know more about the company before I have to find out while working with them after an accident.
I didn’t purchase the insurance myself, which is extremely unusual because my husband usually gets frustrated with the process and/or runs out of time to finish and/or just feels so overwhelmed by the whole thing that he turns it over to me. I can’t tell you how surprised I was to leave, come back just a short time later and find out that my husband had not only found a company that met our needs, after several weeks of searching, but had also completed the purchase, paid for 6 months of premiums, and even had the auto insurance cards printed out and in hand, ready to go into the vehicles before I got home.
It was the first time in over 21 years that he has ever finished choosing and purchasing an auto insurance policy, but he also said that they were easy to work with and didn’t seem the slightest bit frustrated. His only concern seemed to be not knowing the Dairyland name, but he seemed confident that had made a wise purchase and was happy with the process and coverage.

Getting insurance was relatively easy. The customer service people are friendly, helpful and fast. I overall enjoy my insurance very much. I like broadband insurance for all my cars. It's the most economical. I like quality things at an affordable price. And they allow me to pay online. But they charge a late fee and they charge to pay with a live rep. I would like to get better discounts in the my area in the future. I would also like to bundle my insurance, house, car and life. They do not offer the other three. Insurance never seems worth it till you need it. They have always come through when I needed them. I recommend it to everyone I know.

The price is affordable for me being that I'm on disability and my income is limited to a low price. They allow me to make monthly payments instead of paying for it all up front. However, customer service is really bad when I have a problem and I can't call directly and talk to an agent. I am transferred to a hotline and have to talk to a completely stranger in another state where they have no idea what my problem is. I wish to have a more personal relationship with the agent locally.

I have had a great experience Dairyland. I purchased through a insurance broker and enjoy the insurance and although it is expensive it is cheaper than other policies and a competitive price. I have been with the same company for years and it covers all of my vehicles. This is the only company that provided Broad form coverage to cover all of my vehicles. This was the same price as insuring only one vehicle so was the best deal on insurance that I was able to find. I am happy with my coverage. I do not like that auto insurance has gone up so much in Colorado that it is almost unaffordable but comparatively this was the best deal I could find.

Purchasing a policy from them was quite simple. They asked all the same questions as others and quickly pulled up my driving record to obtain my quote. All the people I talked to either in person or on the phone were all very friendly and extremely helpful. They answered all my question and were very patient with me while I was price checking different companies to fit my budget. Overall a very dependable and helpful company to go through. I like that they're one of the cheapest places I've went through. Also they work with me on a set due date for the entire 6 month period which I'm sure other places do as well. I've just became very comfortable with this company after being with them for multiple years.
But when I was involved in an accident, they were very slow at doing their part especially when it came to responding to phone calls. Also all the rules as they called it for getting a rental car was a tad bit ridiculous. Especially when it came to how many days you could keep it. Other than these few things I actually prefer them over all the other companies I've had.

Dairyland is a great company. It was curious and understanding when the payment was late with late charges. Great people working for that company, very helpful in understanding the policy. Also, can make over the phone payments, sometimes goes it on weekends to take payments being courtesy. It’s a great experience because they do as much as possible to help you get the best coverage for your automobile and for the people who besides you will be driving the automotive. It’s a great place to let someone know to go get insurance at.

They are very wallet friendly and extremely simple to get set up and started. I had zero frustrations or problems getting insured. They also are super easy to make payments. They have really been great from start to finish for me, friendly employees, great prices and will work with you to help in any way they can. However, they don’t have any local branches to go in and speak with an agent. Sometimes over the phone just doesn't cut it and you need that face to face agent time.

I called the phone number and gave them my information. They told me I couldn't start a policy because my SR-22 required paid in full. I know for a fact it doesn't. So I said, "Ok, thank you, never mind, have a good day." When they realized their mistake they called me immediately to correct. It's more affordable than the usual companies, though it still has a high price. It is very difficult to find a physical location too. I had to travel 15 miles in order for the verification check was done. But bills are very clear and easy to read and it's easy to speak to a representative to solve my issues. Overall, I'm very satisfied.

I didn't like Dairyland's service overall. The purchasing process was a lot to do. They were my first insurance and their start up fee was so much. And I think it's not fair. Plus, their monthly payment was really high. I would improve what they offer and give bundle deals. They didn't even give me roadside and I needed it. So I changed to State Farm and I love them.

Great company, always handles business well. The staff were always helpful and friendly. The grace period is nice if you're short on a payment. Road side assistance always came in handy you never know when you might need them. Furthermore, they have quick sign up. Has a good payment setup. However, it's just crazy how much it costs a month. 140$ liability and I've never been in any accidents other than backing up into a parked car. And I'm 31. It never went down in my 20s.
When I was 19 I was paying 80, that was in FL, I been in KY and the rate here are outrageous! It could always be cheaper, that's always nice to have the extra money, for gas! Also, every insurance company should have it set up so that when you need minor repairs or tires anything it should cover a percentage. I know a lot of people pay insurance and never make a claim but the minute an accident happens they jack up the price. It's the law to have it and then the billions of dollars a month flow into the insurance industry!

The price was great and reasonable and the locations were convienient in Bakersfield. They are very nice and seem to show compassion to your needs when you are getting a quote and/or considering using them as your insurance provider. But the price you pay is just to have a paper stating that you have car insurance because when it comes to actually using that insurance on damage to your car they have so many excuses it why it isn't being handled appropriately and within a reasonable time. They were procrastinating and either being rude and/or avoiding my calls. Totally unprofessional I feel that they can work on their people skills.

My overall experience was a good one although I never had a accident or incident where I needed to file so I'm unsure how that process would have gone. I had originally called around and after talking with a agent and feeling confident with the numbers I agreed to purchase Dairyland. The cost was very affordable and I could easily contact and talk to a real person if needed. I was always treated well when making payments and although any contact was very rare the people were friendly and helpful. Additionally, it was also a company that had been around for some time and had a good reputation. While I had no complaints, I did switch to Geico insurance because their rates were lower.

I chose Dairyland because when I purchased my vehicle from the dealer it was the insurance they recommended and I am very glad I did. I was approved and covered after a 5 minute phone call with an excellent rate. Dairyland is the second company I've gone through on my own. I love the price of my insurance plan as it is much cheaper than most quotes I received. Also I love how easy it is to make a claim. When I had gotten into an accident I simply made a phone call, took pictures of the damage and received my estimate.

I liked the company and it was close to home which was very convenient since I didn't want a insurance company that was very far away. It was the best price for the policy that covered my husband and myself. Customer service was great too and always answered any questions I had. They worked around my work hours so I could come in to do all the paperwork that I needed to do. The process of purchasing my auto policy were easy and informative. It also didn't take very long like other companies I've dealt with in the past. They were extremely efficient. However, I disliked the hours they held for the office and they cycled through staff extremely fast.

I really like that they do all of the work for you. They research all companies available to them so they can make sure they find the lowest rates for you. From the time you contact them to the time your policy is in effect is usually only a day or two. If you contact them early enough, you can have your policy the same day. The only thing I dislike about this company is their cancellation policy. If your payment is not made on or before your due date, they terminate your policy. You get no extra days like most other companies to make your payment. But overall, my experience has been positive with this company.

They are friendly, and have very reasonable prices and someone is always available to talk to about any problems you incur. The policy is very easy to read. The customer service is excellent but to start the policy it takes days for the charges to clear my bank and has messed up my bank account. Discounts are often offered but then when you receive your policy the discount has been taken away. This has happened to me twice. I did not find it as very good of a practice. I wish their rates were a bit lower and offer more local offices and 24-hour service and easier options to pay. I would also wish they would give you multiple vehicle discount.

My needs have been met. I have had positive experiences with my current broker. She has always been able to help me right away and she has been pleasant every time. Due to my current situation, the insurance company depends entirely on cost on a monthly basis. As long as the premium is one I can afford so that I meet the minimum state requirements, I am satisfied. But I would like to reduce the monthly premium so that it is much closer to the amount when paid in full. I understand the incentive, but the monthly premiums are considerably more when you add them up.

After giving the lady my information she called me back fairly quick with the results and my monthly payment. The ladies are very welcoming and genuinely nice every time you talk to them. I like that they do not up charge for SR-22. They also take my monthly bill out of my bank automatically. However their location is a little far from my home if I had to go in and make a payment. If you miss one payment they cancel your policy but if you pay your bill with in a couple weeks they will let you keep your policy. I am very happy with them!

Once I made my payment, also online, they did not waste any time with getting my paperwork emailed to me. I was even able to sign with an e-signature. Today my policy is still wonderful and I am very pleased with this company, the policy and rate they have given to me.

Overall Dairyland is an okay insurance company. I purchase my insurance from the same place I purchase my car and that was very convenient. I like that my insurance company offers roadside assistance. Over time my rates has decreased and they have good customer services. When I need them all I do is call and once I talk with an agent they are very helpful. The policy was kept very simple and made it easy to understand. If I was to buy a new car I wouldn't have a problem adding that car to my policy. However, I would not have the person pay out of pocket for roadside assistance and I wish they would offer a rental when I break down. I do see the purpose of paying insurance then paying a deductible then have to put in a claim to get your money back.

They give you a decent amount of time to pay and they are understandable about everyday life struggles. I like that they had a local office. I was put on a silly restriction, I had to pay for it through my other policy and Dairlyland didn't require it. It was a huge difference in amount each month, $40! That's a huge difference at the end of the year! But after the time passed I went back to my old insurance, they are simply cheaper. Also, I get a great deal on bundling life and home. The bottom line with insurance is price. All of them have about the same policy.

The only improvement would be easier access to an actual person when I have questions. It's not that you can't talk to somebody because you can. Dairyland isn't different from any other company by doing this but sometimes when I need to talk to a person I don't have time to go through whole process of getting to a person. They made me feel like family. However, they could have an office in the area I live in. They also need more advertisement. There could have been fresh coffee and or a water cooler for clients. Every time I call in, the uninformed agent always ask, "Did you cancel your policy?"... Ditto! Look at the notes in the account and you will see that!!! It literally takes speaking to a supervisor each time to receive proper information. The agents don't care about the service they provide, nor do the supervisors. I don't like how short of time you have to report and get everything in on time! Also maybe offer some more offers. But I loved how easy it was to sign up! They pretty much did everything super quick! They also didn't make me pay a back balance I had previous so that was pretty nice of them to do!

I recently had an issue with Dairyland Insurance canceling my motorcycle policy so I called my underwriter to see if they could make heads or tails of the situation. They called Dairyland & were told that I had not made a payment since March, a payment had been made through their website on 4/11. My payment was due after the 16th of each month, I scheduled my May payment for the 18th. I had been checking my bank account to see if the payment had gone through, it did not. I then went on Dairyland’s website & it said my policy had been canceled. When I spoke with the underwriter again she told me that my payment is technically not due until the 20th of each month. I have switched to another insurance company which was a whole lot cheaper. As one other complaint that I read mentioned, my monthly premium kept increasing & I had never reported a claim in the 2 years they covered me.

I saved a lot of money when I changed to Dairyland and I was able to make payments at 6 months at a time so I didn't have to think about that bill. Very affordable, prices are always the lowest I've ever seen in California and the customer service is always very helpful as well. You can always get ahold of someone via telephone. I was very satisfied. But not enough close locations, closest location was over 40 miles away. Also lowest coverage really only cover the other driver so if you get in a crash your car is basically gone.

Got all my stuff in the mail a few days later with a list of things my policy covered. Price was great being that I was quoted $230 at AAA auto insurance. However, after an accident on Christmas Eve I called to fill out an accident report and get a case number. Lady was really rude and didn't even seem to care. I have a 3 month old in the back and was hit into a middle divider. They have great deals but also got very crappy service when dealing with filing an incident report. They gave me the best secured I can ask for. Thank you so much. Appreciate that and I would not have it any other way.
I love my insurance because it is way cheap the customer service is the best!! Everything is great about it and they're willing to work with everything. Very good, fast and friendly service. And work with people. Purchase only took about forty five min with a low start up cost and very convenient location in a small city in Carlinville IL. However Dairyland does not seemed to be offered everywhere. Only in rural locations which sucks cause I really like them. I wish they had them in big cities. When there is not one around I go through Traders Insurance which is the second best. Their rates are a little higher but not much given my rough past of not always being able to afford insurance like I am supposed to. However my rates are a little higher than an average 32 year old woman should pay. However Dairyland never did anything wrong and if I was gonna be a couple days late I got a 5 day grace period with no punishment or late fees and that was great.

Told her I wanted an installment plan. Was given option of 3 or six payments. Asked for 3 and she told me premium due at initial payment. After reviewing notes that I had taken, saw that first payment was almost half of premium due. Called back two days later, first call was on SAT. Customer service told me computer was done and to call back in an hour. I verified that I would have to jump back into the waiting line for service? Said this was unsatisfactory and asked to speak to a supervisor.
After a medium hold, put on with an attitude, condescending person from the start. Asked why I wasn't offered by the first person, an option to be contacted when their computers came back up. Supervisor started off with "we have millions of customers and we can't call them all back..." When I asked how long the computers had been down, she told me an hour. I then asked if millions of customers had called in that one hour. She then asked me for my date of birth because, lo and behold, she suddenly could check on my policy. When I restated that I wanted to be on the installment plan, she told me it was either an 11, 5, or 2 payment plan.
I asked what about the 3 and 6 payment plan I was told about two days ago. She told me the only plan were 11, 5, or 2 payments. Asked to be put on 5 payment plan and was told initial payment due. Told her how my confidence in the company was waning considering the conflicting info I had received in the 2 calls which is not a good thing when investing trust and money with an insurance company. No refund of 1063.32 for 6 months insurance - If you will notice I couldn't even put up one star. Their service was so bad. On 11-09-2017 I paid for 6 months insurance to save money. Little did I know I was getting raped by Dairyland Insurance. On the 15th just 6 days later I canceled my policy and got another one from a different company saving more than half. And here it is over 3 weeks later and no check. But when I ask about overnight delivery so that I wouldn't get thrown out of my apartment she told she could do that. However their overnight delivery takes 3 days. HELLO PEOPLE HENCE OVERNIGHT DELIVERY So me and my baby Moxie have been sleeping in my car in the dead of winter since yesterday.
Dairyland? Please where is my money? It's so cold out here at night and I'm afraid to run the heater while we sleep because of monoxide poisoning. So we just try to bundle up the best we can. Dairyland? I am an older woman who shouldn't be out there like I am. Please. Where is my money? I got in trouble 30 years ago for taking something that didn't belong to me so why are you still even in business? Shame. Shame. You people that I spent 4 1/2 hours on the phone with? Were you just telling me things that you thought I wanted to hear just to keep me from calling you? Please. We are freezing out here. Where is my money? Don't you have a heart? No I don't guess that you do if you could do this to an older person. Oh God it's so cold out here. Dairyland? Where is my money?

I was rear ended by a Dairyland (Sentry/Freeway Insurance) customer on a Friday night. I submitted my claim to Dairyland on a Saturday. They had my estimate and check in the mail by Thursday, they also emailed me the information and I was able to take my car to the body shop this same day. Of course they under-estimated my damages so my body shop submitted a supplement. They approved it without any problems and sent the check for the difference to the body shop directly. I read all the negative reviews that this company has and I was so afraid of having problems, but Dairyland gave me no issues. They even compensated me for the additional days I was without my vehicle. I made sure to have all the necessary information when I filed my claim, I was patient, and nice! They really made this so easy.

When I signed up with this co. they quoted me an initial start up fee. Once fee was paid they then informed me that I had purchased a years worth of roadside assistance for two along with my initial signup fee. Thank you but I already had roadside service. They sent a letter stating they needed additional info. Because I said I was single initially and later said I was divorced. (I explained I've been divorced for more than 15yrs.) My policy went up well over a hundred dollars!!
IN MY OPINION THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM. Received a voicemail saying my policy changed because I said I drive my school age children to school using a different car than the one I requested insurance for. I don't have school age children and I never drive my significant other's car. When I spoke to a live person I was told this was not the information given and it was based on my divorced status v/s being single and that my miles driven stated was different than initially stated. It takes me 15 min to get to work.

Zero stars. They are horrible. I make minimum wage working a part time job trying to juggle the bills and when I needed insurance they seemed like the way to go because they were cheapest. Even though they were cheapest I could barely pay their first month premium. After 2 months, so on the 3rd month I wanted to know the exact date I was going to be charged. I had the money in my account so I called to find out. Even though my next billing cycle didn't start for another 2 weeks I've been charged almost a week prior when I didn't have money in my account and so therefore they cancelled my insurance policy! Because I didn't have money in my account 3 weeks! Before I was supposed to be billed!
Not having any other options I couldn't restart my previous policy and I had to pay the first month premium to start another policy. This time rates have gone up and again I could barely afford it. This time it was even more ridiculous and set me back literally months and paying off other more important bills because they were now charging even MORE even though I've now been longer since my last incident. I'm now being charged a fraction under $200 a month for the most basic of Insurance to be able to legally drive, I'm a 22 year old male with 2 5mph tickets from years ago...
It's so expensive I'm being forced to start riding a motorcycle and park my car at the end of October. Yeah I'm going to be riding to work at 4 in the morning in pouring rain and snow through the rest of winter. I was barely able to pay 160 a month before they cancelled my insurance and started charging me way more. I just can't afford to be safe and drive a car this winter if it's going to be thousands of dollars a year.
Also they suck from the other end too. I had an incident at work. In the employee parking lot my truck slipped out of gear when no one was around and backed into my friend's truck. She had to file a claim with my insurance to get her truck fixed. And they were complete ** to her the entire way through nonstop. Horrible customer service would not talk to her properly, give her no respect, very rude. They were very upsetting. They refused to help her until she threatened to get lawyers involved. Absolutely horrible customer service on both ends in all ways!!!! Horrible. Sinful. Wretched. Slimy. Worthless. Company.

My experience with your insurance has been horrible. I obtained a 6-month policy with Dairyland, then was hospitalized for 2 months. Having paid for had a year, my spouse and I didn't think to check the status of my policy. As it turns out my policy was canceled on August 14th. Dairyland somehow didn't receive my change of address so I didn't receive any mail from them. But at no point did they try and contact me via email or phone. Which had they, I would've responded immediately because I did have my phone in my hand almost 24/7.
NOW, they want me to pay another deposit to keep my policy active. I just feel like the sense of individuality is gone, no room for circumstances or even admitting that they dropped the ball. I chose Dairyland because it seemed more personal small and that's what I look for these days. As it turns out I am just another number. The supervisor just kept saying she was sorry because of how much time had lapsed, but I was in the flipping hospital, so there's that. The supervisor insisted there was nothing she could do, which having been a supervisor in customer service, I know this is simply not true.
I will not be continuing my policy with Dairyland and will go with a company that WILL call and/or email me when they don't hear back from me. Funny how if I owed them money, they would for sure spend a bit more time trying to get a hold of me. So annoyed. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone, simply because there is no sense of "I matter" in a world of us citizens being just numbers. So now I default to a huge company where I am just a policy number, because at least I know exactly what I'm getting myself into.

When they increased my annual (paid monthly) liability only bike insurance premium from $35/month to $68/month I had my insurance agent cancel 8 days from when they deducted the first surprising $68 and expected to receive a refund. Instead they billed me with an $18.03 penalty (and kept the $68) for cancelling and sent me 3 threatening notices within a week for payment or threatened credit reporting. I was told by them to fax a cancellation letter with the effective date of cancellation, the reason for the cancellation and my signature and so I did what was requested of me.
After all of that they finally cancelled it on 05-12-2017 and I was told by an agent that all I will be refunded to me would be $56. From cell phone pictures they decided on an estimate which was $800 lower than both local estimates I received from an in person observer. The insurance company stated that was all they were offering and if I did my homework I could probably find a good body shop to do the work for what they were offering. They also told me due to my minimal damages there was no possible way I could have been injured as badly as I was claiming so I should take their $650 injury settlement since that's all I was entitled to for a low impact collision.
Keep in mind... guy who hit me... totaled vehicle. I wonder if his impact was low? I was told in every contact that if I wasn't happy I could file a claim to my own insurance... that's what it's there for. Ultimately they are going to bully me into filing a claim against my own insurance, so I can get my vehicle repaired and some medical care. And I will suffer the premium hike. Called to purchase an SR-22 and was told by the company I did not need one, I assured them I did and was told I did not. I was given regular liability with no SR-22 therefore once the policy ran out with my other company I would not be covered anymore therefore my suspension would take effect. I was pulled over for a stupid license plate light and was told I had no bond so my license was suspended.
I contacted Dairyland Auto the very same ones that told me I did not need the bond and told them I needed the bond, now they were all too happy to give it to me - no problems. This does not change the fact now that I wasted almost $90.00 on nothing and they are not even willing to make it right THEIR mistake not mine. Yet I had to pay a fine out of my own pocket which if they would have given me what I requested in the first place it would not have cost me an additional $100+ out of my pocket. Oh I never requested it in the first place according to them but it was the first thing that was mentioned. OH well I get screwed again when I am trying to do right... THANKS DAIRYLAND!!!

One of Dairyland's insured opened his car door into my van without checking traffic. The insured's statement to the Police, Dairyland, and my insurance company was that he never opened his door. The crash scene pictures and the official crash report prove otherwise. Dairyland ignored the facts of the case despite overwhelming physical evidence and changed the story of the insured in order to deny the claim. This was after they took more than 21 days to make the determination. Our van was not safe to drive and we were forced to open a claim with our insurance company and will likely face arbitration to recover our costs.
Unfair settlement practice: Fails settle a case when it's the reasonable thing to do. Ignores facts in its own files that it should pay a claim. Acts in a dishonest or oppressive manner. Facts of the claim: The insured's statement to the Columbus Police Department, Dairyland, and Cincinnati Insurance is that he never opened his door. The insured's car was not properly parked along the curb as shown in the accident scene photos. The insured's car door was open at the time of the collision. The collision damaged the passenger front quarter panel, passenger side door handle, and passenger side panel. The official crash report indicates that Casey **'s "Contributing Circumstance" was "21 - OTHER IMPROPER ACTION" and that the crash reports notes other vehicle's "Contributing Circumstance" as "01 - None".

After we filed the claim they told us that they would only pay 50% cost of the because the driver didn't take evasive action to avoid the collision. How do we take evasive action if we don't see the vehicle? We then called our insurance and had them deal with each other. This company is a waste of time and dishonest.

Paid almost $300 to $289 to start the policy. Found a better rate within 10 days. Switched insurance policies. Cancelled the one with Dairyland then they proceeded to notify me that they were keeping all of my money because of the services they offered. I asked them "What did you do? I didn't even get an insurance card in the mail?"
They are a rip-off. They couldn't even explain to me why they kept my money. So for 10 days worth of insurance they charged me almost $300 and according to them have no record of nothing but 125 of it which is not even what my insurance rate was. They were charging me $157 a month for an SR-22 bond. They are a ripoff. Their customer service sucks and they are rude. He has had 6 heart attacks. He is in very bad condition and he has been since. And before the accident one would think that Dairyland was trying to hope or create that he has another heart attack that is final so they do not have to deal with him. I realize this is drawing close to the end but since he had a lot of health issues he has been unable to do a simple task as meaning of the full as getting his medication because he has not had a car.
Dairyland insurance adjuster took 60 days to show up at the man's front door. They did an appraisal after he, Vernon had already had three done the range in cost to repair his car which was a forward energy with a big engine in it. Fancy huh and they appraise the damage at I believe $2,900, maybe less but that was after the deductible. His quotes that he had got from Ford and from another reputable dealer in Bryson City North Carolina were any upper $8,000 to $9,000 range. All that Dairyland did was blow him off, mislead him to the point to criminal activities that they did to this poor man and then I or just said that they could never get in touch with him even though he let them know that he would be at home. He could not drive. He was a very sick person however this does not interest them into helping an individual only to further alienate themselves from Mr. ** and his burdens.

I was rear-ended at a stoplight by a guy going full speed on 7/18/15. Totaled my truck. He was contrite and gave me his info. He's insured by Dairyland. Now I almost wish he hadn't stopped at all. I was told to call the adjuster on the following Monday. I did and he said the appraiser would contact me within 24-48 hours to inspect my truck. 48 hours passed with no call so I called the adjuster back. He said I should just call the appraiser and gave me his number. I called him and he said he couldn't come out until the end of the week but as soon as he did he'd have everything uploaded and ready to go.
The weekend passed with no word or email. I got a message from him on Monday saying the truck was a total loss. Said to call him back to get details. I called back and got a full mailbox so I couldn't leave a message. Then called again and left a message. No word on Tuesday so I called the adjuster and repeated what he'd told me. The adjuster said I'd have to talk to the appraiser to get the offer number. I asked about a rental and he said under state law they didn't have to pay for a rental because the truck was totaled. Another day with no word and I called the appraiser again and he magically picked up. He said the car was a total. I said "Right you said that on the message. What's the offer?" He said, "Oh, I have to load this all into the software to get a number and then I'll send that to the adjuster and he'll give you the offer."
That's where we are today. A week and a half has passed since I was involved in an accident where my only fault was being stopped at a stoplight and this company gives me the runaround. I'm not optimistic about where it goes from here. I was involved in a 4 car accident where I was rear-ended by two other vehicles with mine being the 2nd car in the accident. So far I have been in touch with Dairyland Insurance which insures the last car in the accident. To this point the insurance company claim adjuster was not even sure why they were the ones contacting me. If I could rate no stars or negative I would as I have never seen such incompetence anywhere. After receiving one call from the company which I was unable to answer at the time and returning calls twice to the adjuster with no callbacks I was finally able to get in touch with another employee on the "team" who assured me that I would get a return call on Monday. Monday arrived and went... NO CALL. It wasn't until Tuesday that I get a call basically saying they want to write off my car however they are unsure of what I will be offered for the vehicle.
To that point I had to contact the insurance adjuster to come look at the car all the while I get no offer from Dairyland for a rental. When the adjuster came to look at the car he couldn't even figure out how to open the trunk which had no problem opening after the accident and I arrive home after work to find the headlights of my vehicle hanging from their connectors which is not how they were left after the accident. Other than the cosmetic damage to my car it runs and cranks over just fine but I have to hear that he tried to use a crowbar to open the hood which had been jammed shut after the accident. Unprofessionalism abounds in this regard with no callbacks from the company and it is like pulling teeth just to hear anything back.
A week has gone by with no end in sight with the last thing from the adjuster stating that they have to wait to see pictures from the car they insure... 3-4 weeks into the claims process. I was hoping for some resolution but after reading the horrible reviews for this company you would be better off with no insurance let alone Dairyland. There seems to be no end in sight since they can't even reimburse their own clients let alone the people they hit. By all means if you find out they have Dairyland Insurance and you are in an accident hire a lawyer immediately or you will just end up infuriated with a car that is worthless.

My wife and I recently got insurance through this company. When we were first quoted we were told that our monthly payment was going to be $114. When the first bill came around it was for $158. We called the company and were told that we didn't send in the proper paperwork to qualify for the homeowners discount. This was the first we had heard of any paperwork being needed and with that we sent them the papers they needed that day. Once they had the papers, we were told that the $114 would be honored and that would be our bill going forward. Now it is time for our second payment to be due and the bill comes again. This time it's $164. Again, we call the company and this time we are told that my wife has an at fault accident on her record. My wife has never been in an accident, but she was on our old roommate's policy (she used to drive his car from time to time) when he hit another car.
When we figured out the mix-up, we called the agent again. This time we were told that since she was on the policy they counted it as her accident, and without paperwork proving that it was not her accident, we were stuck paying the higher amount. So we jumped through all the hoops to get the loss statement from the roommate's insurance to get the loss statement showing that he was the driver at the time of the accident, and sent it to our agent. Three days later, after the document went for review, we were told that they didn't care who was driving, the only thing that mattered is that she was on the policy and we are just going to accept our new bill. Getting insurance through this company was the biggest mistake we could have made. Now we are stuck with them raising the prices on us and are locked in to paying for the next 5 months.

They never contacted us to inform us of any of this. When I called I was informed that I will lose the 2 weeks of money that I provided, even though I cancelled the first day! The customer service agent I spoke to assured me that she would call me today and verify the refund and that she received my email!
Dairyland is now closed and of course I received no call! I believe that this company scams many people and I wouldn't recommend this company to my worst enemy! I can't believe the hoops they send people through to just cancel a policy!! Horrible customer service!! Very unsatisfied with this company!! Next step is the Better Business Bureau!! Beware of Dairyland Insurance!!!

I was hit by a girl who has Sentry/Dairyland insurance. We are dealing with Peak Auto Collision or something like that for the liability and to get the damage to our vehicle paid for. The accident happened on 10/9 and it has been almost two weeks now. They are refusing to give us a rental because they need this or that or one of their people lost a page of the police report. It's always some excuse whenever we finally get a hold of someone. The police report clearly states their driver was at fault, but they are making all these excuses for why it's taking so long along with not returning calls nor answering the phone almost ever. We've contacted supervisors and they pawn off their complaints back to their adjuster who is our main complaint. He speaks to us and our insurance agent in a very demeaning way and is very short and most of the time hangs up on us. We are currently paying for a rental car out of pocket due to the fact that life actually does go on. It doesn't stop just because insurance people can't take responsibility for their insured's accidents. I'm looking for any information or contact information for someone to review this situation with us in a timely manner, please.

My daughter was hit by a driver who was insured by Dairyland/Sentry, while crossing the street in front of her Law School. Police was called and the report clearly states the the driver failed to yield to pedestrian who had a walk sign.
A claim number ******** was given to us and the adjuster name was Ashley. A week later we received a call from the insurance company saying that the driver who hit my daughter is an excluded driver and is the husband of the insurer. They could not get a hold of her with certified letter or phone call and there is nothing else further they could do. Upon my asking, she also told me that they cannot terminate or take any legal action as long as they pay their insurance premium.
In the meantime, my daughter was taken to an emergency room and they are refusing to pay the medical bills or even deal with me or my issue. They are refusing to give anything in writing about the incident or give me any proof in writing that this guy was excluded. They only talk on the phone only when I leave messages and is very insensitive and is hiding a lot so that they don't have to pay.
Just to get on the phone and telling us that there is nothing they could do is not acceptable.
