    Purchase new Refrigerator and within 2 months problem in Refrigerator.. Request to replace freezer and company say Refrigerator replace within 48 hours. But after 48 hours no one can come to replace the Refrigerator. Very bad service.

    I am a high end residential architect in Los Angeles. For a high end brand- just surprisingly bad customer service when requesting part replacement. The Part which broke- top bearing at the hinge- was NOT STRONG ENOUGH and cracked. The new part (after 1 unsuccessful ordering and receiving the wrong parts) was redesigned by Liebherr to strengthen the weak area. Clearly a systemic problem with the part. We will spend about $900 to fix this: 2 tech visits to replace the part, ordering wrong parts as given by “competent part department “ (citation from Liebherr website). This is disappointing to say the least. I can’t recommend Liebherr any more. Subzero has better customer service and stands behind their product.

      My first Liebherr refrigerator failed within 3 years (recurring condensation in freezer). The retailer’s service team refused to repair. Due to unique constraints in my kitchen, I elected to purchase another Liebherr refrigerator. It was delivered defective in January 2026 and Liebherr would not allow a replacement. Instead, I’m waiting until July for the part but have no confidence this date will be honored due to several delays. This company does not care about their customers and I cannot recall a worse customer experience for appliances or any other consumer goods I have purchased. It is disheartening to see companies like this operate the way they do with customers having no recourse.

      Refrigerator works great overall. We had it now for little over 2 years. Had issues with ice maker from the get go. They replaced parts and fixed it under warranty. Now just over 2 years starting the same issue again. Now they will not fix it. 2 years is not a long time for a refrigerator to break down. I am really disappointed with the customer support as well.

      Poor quality for a premium price. The grip on my fridge broke off, and Liebherr told me that the fridge is not suitable for being opened repeatedly within a short period of time. So if you forget something while cooking, you are apparently expected to wait before opening the fridge again. Completely unacceptable.

      Very bad experience from the customer service. I register a complaint on October still my problem is not resolved. Without solving the problem they are sending messages like they complete it. I called many times and someone came to check it after 2 months and he did nothing. For just visit he took visiting charge, if they just touch for that another charge, but still the problem is same as like before. If directly call to the number they have provided, the answer is, "Sorry we don't have service in your location." How can we trust someone for something, if they do not have any service here they should not sell it here. No stars....

      Purchased a 30” Fridge in November and about 30 days in, the icemaker has stopped working. Fred’s Appliance has ordered a sensor and I am waiting for it to be installed but after reading some of these reviews I am now worried this will not fix the problem. Currently everything in the freezer is slowly melting and my expensive custom-fitted cabs are a huge fiasco if this thing can’t be fixed. We spent 4k and it’s broken in less than a month. Garbage garbage garbage. Liebherr America is absolutely horrible - if you’re reading this, help please.

      Model: Liebherr SCB7760IM. Issue: Freezer and icemaker nonfunctional. Experience: Ongoing for 12+ months. I purchased the Liebherr SCB7760IM refrigerator just over a year ago, expecting a premium product from a premium brand. Instead, I’ve had over 10 service calls for a non-working freezer and ice maker, and the issue remains unresolved. Despite the efforts of my local retailer (who has been very supportive), Liebherr USA has failed to take responsibility or offer a replacement. They’ve been unresponsive and dismissive, and the product has never functioned as promised. For a refrigerator at this price point, this is unacceptable. I strongly caution others considering this brand. A product that fails this early and a company that won’t back it up is not worth the investment.

      The worse fridge I have ever had. Like other customers, I struggled with temperature fluctuations, ice maker issues and the freezer drawer broke. Any cheap fridge would last longer than this fridge.

      House came with a Liebherr refrigerator that was about 5 years old and out of warranty. After numerous defrosts and maintenance calls we finally replaced it. We chose another Liebherr because the space was specifically built for this rare size that only Liebherr seems to make. We thought it couldn't possibly have as many problems as the last one! WRONG! We are now 4 years in on the new Liebherr and it is constantly having issues even though it cost nearly $7k. The ice maker is total garbage. We have an $800 Samsung refrigerator as a second fridge in another part of the house and it hasn't had a single issue over the same span. Need to call service? Good luck, nobody services these horrible things and the parts are very expensive. Avoid at all costs. Any appliance dealer who sells this product is also suspect because they certainly know of its reputation and still carry the product.

      Updated on 09/16/2025: Purchased IC5110IM from Bray & Scarff in Frederick MD. It never worked properly. We thought we were doing something wrong and the fridge worked for a few days and then did not. Bray and Scarff only takes things back in 7 days. We purchased this on April 22nd. It is now Sept 16th and it still does not work. They has service people come out and replace a sensor and the mother board, but then they stated it needs a new compressor. They sent the compressor, but can't find a tech to fix it. We live in the Greater Washington DC area with well over 9 million people so we are not in a remote place. It is now Sept 16th and we are not any closer to a resolution. It is now a $2,800 paper weight.

      Original Review: Very poor customer service. Would not have purchased one, but replace not that the cabinet was set up for. Ordered part from GA Factory and never received it. Paid for next day delivery. Stated I should just order as they could not fix the issue... Something to do with FedEx not scanning something which sounded very dismissive. I ordered part on Thursday and reached out on Friday for update. They did not get back to me until Monday. So instead of next day, I have waited 4 days just to be told I would need to start the process all over again.

      Purchased what appeared to be an excellent product--3 high end items from Liebherr. LMF 1851 Freezer Column, LMW1800 Wine Column, LMRB3600 Fridge Column. During the Install in Nov 23 The Wine Column and Freezer were damaged and had were replaced Jan 2024. Early in Feb 24 the freezer stopped making ice and threw an audible alarm. We have had Liebherr service techs out 7-8 times and the problem continues to re-occur. At wits end as we have well over $20,000 invested and we customized the space for this particular product when we built our dream home.

      Also, on elf the fridge shelves fell apart and Liebherr tried to say it was a cosmetic issue outside of warranty. Ferguson Appliance kindly intervened and extended a complimentary 5 Year Warranty as we are known repeat customers. Going Legal is my last resort as we will surely win but don't have the energy. Stay Away. Other customers are having ice maker issues. They have an obvious design issue. Just acknowledge the problem and fix it.

      Liebherr was suggested to me by a salesman at Ferguson Kitchen and Bath. Here are the cons...to clean the air filter, located at the bottom and partially behind the Bottom freezer drawer, you need to be on the floor. Great if you're young and mobile. The egg tray holder is 10 eggs even though the shelf on the door could accommodate one made for 12. The bottom shelf in the refrigerator has "wells" or slots for individual wine bottles, under the removable glass but with a wine bottle in place the door won't shut. Last but certainly not least is the ice maker poor design. If you try and lift the ice bucket out, ice falls out the back. The ice maker bucket, when full, allows ice cubes to fall into the bottom freezer drawer. Really annoying... My neighbor also has this fridge and they confirmed all my complaints.

      Do not purchase a Liebherr refrigerator. We spent $13000 and had them out for service twice under warranty and three times out of warranty. The drawers break and are cheap. The replacement drawers cost $60. Worst refrigerator I've ever owned.

      I ordered 2 36" Liebherr refrigerators in Nov 2023, installed in Dec 2023. The first worked instantly when plugged in. The second one, after at least 5 service calls and many hours on the phone with technicians, worked for about 3 weeks in June and now shows device failure on the screen and quit cooling again. The techs do not let me talk to a manager or supervisor that could actually get me a replacement and just keep trying the same things over. We have replaced several boards numerous times. It is incredibly frustrating when the customer spends money for a high end product and gets a lemon with no accountability from the company. Now I wish I would have gone with Sub-Zero to avoid these issues. I have 2 of those that are 30 years old and have had less problems with them.

      The overly-priced refrigerator came with missing rack (wine rack) which was a part of their advertisement and inquiries led to nothing. The plastic container holding eggs was designed for 10 eggs. How does something so simple gets passed design and everyone involved and finally into the market? Finally, I ordered the part so you can interact with it using your phone. Compass which handles their parts sent the wrong item. It took a lot of calls and unpleasant conversation to return it. Have been waiting for a replacement for about two months... I give up! How can you produce a mediocre fridge, several times the price of brands which are far better and ask for another $100 for a smart device you cannot handle sending it out, even when ordered online or by calling in. I would NOT recommend this brand to anyone!

      Don’t ever buy this brand. It starts with Lie. Started decent but went to total crap immediately. Shelves fall apart right away. Poor design. Then you start getting device failure warnings within the first year. YOU SHOULD NEVER BUY THIS BRAND FOR THE PRICE YOU'RE PAYING!!!! Other brands like Thermador, etc will At least run for 8 years. I didn’t make 2 years without these going to poop.

      The product is poorly designed including the drawer structure and the icemaker that never worked. It is grossly overpriced. Even the slightest bump causes parts of the freezer compartment and butter door to break off. Each time we have ordered replacement parts they are enormously expensive and, like the original, very poor quality. Our original objective was to buy an excellent refridgerator that would fit in a specific space. I would not recommend this product to anyone.
