I purchased a Goodman AC unit on January 13, 2025. On April 29, 2026, the unit received a routine tune-up, during which I was informed it was low on coolant and likely has a leak. Around the same time, my neighbor’s Goodman AC unit also stopped working; he was told his issue was due to a faulty sensor. This raised additional concerns for me about potential product reliability. I contacted Goodman to inquire about my warranty and was told the unit was not registered, despite my understanding that it should have a 10-year warranty. I explained that I distinctly remember registering all of my appliances when I moved in, including this unit. However, the representative insisted it had never been registered and stated I should have received a confirmation email, which I never did.

On April 30, 2026, I registered the unit again. I was told I would receive a confirmation email, but as of May 1, 2026, I still have not received anything. This time, I took a screenshot as proof of registration. To verify everything, I contacted the warranty providers for my other appliances. All were properly registered. For example, Rinnai (my tankless water heater provider) found my information had been tied to an incorrect email address, corrected it promptly, and assured me my warranty would still be honored.

I reached out to Goodman again to suggest a similar issue may have occurred with my account. Unfortunately, I spoke with the same representative, who again insisted the unit was never registered, refused to consider the possibility of an error, and would not escalate the issue or allow me to speak with a supervisor. Overall, this experience has been extremely frustrating. The lack of support, unwillingness to investigate, and poor customer service have left me very dissatisfied. Based on this experience, I would not choose Goodman again.

Be smarter than me and DO NOT purchase Goodman products!! I spent $8,200 for a new AC unit just over a year ago. The compressor broke as well as the reversing valve. Both parts are covered under the parts warranty, but it cost me $3,056 for labor and additional refrigerant. Goodman quality is crap and I wished I had gone with a different company!!! Hope this saves someone else from making the same mistake and buying Goodman.

I bought one of their furnaces and now 2 years later with a 10 year warranty the installer is permanently closed I called Goodman and they said to look up another Goodman service provider on their site which maximum distance is 50kms. There are no results. So now what do I do? I bought Goodman because the company who installed it said that they were decent but I see that the installing company and Goodman are actually good for nothing.

Piece of crap! 7 years old and the condenser coil goes out. $2200 to fix it or $4300 to purchase a new one. Don't purchase Goodman! Was told the coil went out because the dog peed on it, but after reading all the reviews clearly it is the crap quality of the unit.

Installed furnace 2 years ago. Our tech determined that the blower motor went out. This part is unavailable within a 200 mile radius of us. So it’s being shipped from the distribution center. They will not expedite emergency delivery. It’s going to be another entire week before we receive the part. This part should be sent via overnight. It is 6 degrees here and we have no furnace That’s totally unacceptable!

Our furnace was blowing only cold air (only 2 1/2 years old!). The technician, very nice guy, said we needed a new heat exchanger and said he did what he could for a temporary fix and sold us a carbon monoxide detector because the situation put us at high risk. 5 weeks later and the part is backordered.... from the manufacturer!! We can't even run the furnace at night and we currently have sub zero temps with wind chill. Now we're worried about our pipes freezing. Waiting for an update from Answer Heating & Cooling to see if they can tell us when the part will arrive. It looks like we will be ordering a new furnace (to replace a new furnace) and it won't be a Goodman. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because the service technician was so nice.

Bought a Goodman GPHM. It has been the biggest piece of junk ever. We have a warranty and have replaced almost Everything EVERY part on it! Especially the condenser multiple times. RUN FROM THEM! It’s less than 10 years old! The first winter we had to repair it!

We had a 3 ton and a 2 ton Goodman heat pumps installed by our builders subcontractor. We moved into our home in April of 2019. It is December of 2025 and both units are bad and in need of being replaced; coils are bad. To replace both coils, it will cost us in excess of $7,000.00 and then we were told we would not be given a warranty because Goodman coils are notoriously bad. Home owners beware!!! We are not going to throw good money after bad. These units have only lasted approximately 6 and half years. Then when calling the installer the units only have a five year warranty. Homeowners are supposed to complete paperwork in their Homeowner package which my husband believes he did and we have no proof to show the warranty was extended to 10 years. You do not want a Goodman unit or units for your home. This company is owned by Daikin. Homeowners Beware!

Garbage products & company. The units don't even last per the warranty. Once it's under warranty if any part needs to be replaced it takes them 2 weeks or so to ship it. Making sure that in order to avoid that possible huge problem you are forced to buy another unit. The warranties are not worth the paper they're written on. It's been this way for years. IMO upper management are criminals & should be put in prison for fraud.
