I have recently sold my Marriott timeshare with SMTN. The first sale fell through, but SMTN found another buyer and that sale went smoothly. It does take a long time, but after I had completed all of the forms, SMTN worked through all the requirements independently and successfully completed the sale, depositing the proceeds to my bank account with minimal effort on my side, luckily because I did not know how to complete the sale myself.

We decided to sell our Las Vegas timeshare after having owned it for 41 years. Everything went well with the transaction but the problem was that it took 8 months from start to finish. I was told originally that it would take up to 120 days but it was much longer. Is it because we reside in Canada and extra paperwork may have been required? Also we had to wait for the sellers to send in their required information. But all in all we were quite satisfied with the service and we were updated on what the next step should be.

Hi, just a short note to talk about SMTN company. My comments will be in 2 parts, the company and the process. As far as the company, great service, especially my sales rep. **, he was always available to answer all my questions and I did have a lot. He answered with patience, knowledge and promptly, these days, that is rare. SMTN followed up with me and met all their commitments, what they said, they did, and that was much appreciated. Now the disappointing part, I purchased Embark-Diamond Resorts points, the process with SMTN started in May 2021, I am writing in February 2022 and I paid my points in full, but have not received anything to date, no confirmation from Diamond Resorts that I am the owner of the points.

They helped me develop the advertisement to be displayed on their website. Through their website, and via email, I received several initial notifications that the timeshare was being reviewed by potential buyers, but no serious offer was made. Then in June of 2021, I received a call from SMTN informing me of a serious buyer. We arrived at an agreeable sales price and I was able to sell the timeshare.

I was very impressed by the professionalism and friendliness of all the people I dealt with. I was kept updated at every stage of the transaction. I surely would like to use them again and would not hesitate to recommend SMTN to family and friends in United Kingdom and Europe.

We were very pleased with the overall process. We felt folks were knowledgeable and helpful along the way, especially up front on the caveats and nuances of the different time share programs. It was valuable that folks advised us up front that the process can take 3-4 months, which is very different than buying a house, so this helps with expectations for timing. It would be nice if more of the documents process could be via on-line electronic signature, but none of the documents were too long to print on our home printer and since they in general have to be notarized, you have to print them anyways. I would recommend the people/teams we used to our friends.

I submitted a complaint/ issue TO BBB and YESTERDAY I got an email saying to call customer care. After being on hold for 4 minutes and getting transferred, I got disconnected and rapidly received an email saying "It was a pleasure speaking with you today. As we discussed, I have given you secure access to review your personalized paperwork..." I have never spoken to ** | Executive Consultant in my life. I do not know why the lies continue, and I was sent paperwork. I was never aware that I had the option to not pay before agreeing to the contract. I had to pay UP FRONT $4,600 PLUS $596 OF TITLE AND FEES and no contract paperwork was issued until now, I was also never aware of the 10 day period to cancel the contract.

They were very professional and stayed on top of the transaction with updates all along the process. I would definitely use them again as they were very thorough in explaining every step of the process and made it easy and pleasant.

Overall, the process took about 7 months for us...so I recommend a bit of patience. I will never buy a timeshare directly from the property again! I reached out to SMTN and spoke with someone that recommended I list a sales price of ~$24K as "reasonable". I paid $1800 upfront that included all expenses. The stock photos of this Hawaiian timeshare were unimpressive and they would not accept better pics that I offered. After more than a yr with nibbles but no bites, I steadily dropped the price to $3K to be competitive and sold it (the process took ~ 3 mos). I ended up netting $1200. At least I don't have to pay condo fees again. Less than impressed.

I heard from one of the sharks on Shark Tank that this was a real business that DID help people share their timeshares. She was right. However... Anyone selling their timeshare needs to have realistic goals and be committed to selling. SMTN suggested I start out listing at a 2 thousand dollars to see what response I got. Note that I paid $15K (in 1994) for the thing, so for some sellers, that might be a tough pill to swallow. I already knew that I was not going to get back NEARLY what I paid for it and I was determined to sell it and get out from the ever-increasing yearly dues.

The escrow company contacted me with personnel whose credentials are verifiable through the State of Florida real estate licensure website which raised confidence that the whole process was legitimate. Selling the Grand Vacation initially was extremely difficult to start the process of how and what documents need to be filled besides notarized since none was electronically automated. After it was processed the selling team was fantastic at helping me get it sold but corrected if wasn’t done right. They followed up via email but also was available to call in the business hours.Buying the package for a large amount and having to pay to sell, and sell it for only double what you have to pay for taxes was not the best thing to find out since it’s added bills to the over all bill. This team of sellers though help walked me through the whole process so the customer service ended up being great.

We stayed in a three bedroom, three bathroom timeshare at the Marriott Surf Club. The accommodations were beyond what we had expected. The staff was pleasant and everyone respected the mask requirements. We would recommend this property to anyone staying and we would return to this property again.

THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM!! Initially it seems very promising and professional. They have someone give you details in full on how they have a website and how you can check your listing online and check in with their customer service so it seems like the real deal but it’s NOT. They ask for money upfront to “assist” in selling your timeshare. Thousands of dollars I might add. They couldn’t sell it over two years until finally I asked for my money back since it didn’t sell (because they say you can). Of course that was hard no even though in their selling spiel they say that they will if they can’t sell it.

In the spring we inquired about buying a timeshare that was listed on SMTN.. I contacted the website, we had a prompt response and shortly aferwards we started the negotiations... We dealt with Chris... He was absolutely 100%, from the negotiations for the purchase cost to walking us through all the steps to complete the purchase.. He was allways available for questions by phone or email and promptly answered everything in a timely manner... The purchase went through without any hicups...(just took time, 7 months, so be patient). The experience on this purchase with Chris and SMTN, we would recommend using SMTN for a purchase of a timeshare... We definitely would again the future,

Having participated in Wyndham Discovery I have enjoyed several high quality hotels in such cities as Las Vegas, Orlando, Atlantic City, Puerto Rico's, and National Harbor. After averaging about how much it's ruined with calls without Discovery I estimate I would have paid 5 to $6000 for all the rooms With kitchens and Jacuzzi tubs, nice living rooms pool, gyms, tv's, very nice rooms. I will not deny that. So I figured I could continue to go with Wyndham time shares.

I signed up for SMTN series over a year ago and foolishly paid their fee upfront. Since then I was contacted only once to lower my price to a ridiculously low level, which I declined. Every time I go to see myadv4ertisement the pictures do not load. I decided to keep my timeshare, but the company refuses to refund my fee, stating that it was used to advertise my unit. However, they could not provide any statistics on the advertisement traffic, number of views and general information on how and where it is advertised. This is the worst company I have ever been associated with. They do not do anything to promote your sale, refuse to refund your money even if you no longer interested in selling. I strongly advise anyone interested in disposing of their timeshare to stay away from dealing with this company as they are just a bunch of crooks.
