Paid them in 2018 and never even got an email or phone call back! Was told would take 3 years! Kept lowering prices and never heard back! Never received help from them! It’s been over 8 years and nothing!

I just read that one of their positive qualities is allowing cancellation. They fail to mention whether or not it is free to cancel and how long you have to cancel. It is hard to tell when something is new to you, if a couple of months is long enough or too long, based on what SMTN's opinion is. It has been a long time for me and unless I make noise, I don't hear from them with any kind of offers. To the best of my knowledge, no one has made any serious offers.

This company is a sham. Don't waste your time. I've had their service for roughly 5 years. No professional guidance on why it's not selling and a lot of excuses. Sell on your own for $1 and get out. The sales guy over the phone when I initially inquired was telling me all about what my timeshare was worth and the general timeline that it would sell (not guaranteed of course). Months later I call back in on my own to simply review the account and the whole story changed to, "Oh, it's really difficult to sell your timeshare (Diamond Resort), we're not really sure how to go about this one and you can just keep dropping the sale price. Many don't sell for $1000, etc."
So glad I paid thousands to SellMyTimeShareNow for them to sit and wait for me to call them and for no accountability and no results. It's now been 3 years since they've reviewed my account putting it at the back of the line of their portfolio. If I had the extra money I would sue these guys, and I bet in some way they're owned/affiliated with the timeshare companies. Shame on them.

My experience with SellMyTimeshareNow has been frustrating, misleading, and deeply disappointing. I engaged their services in December 2022, after being assured of a structured process, strong market exposure, and access to “qualified buyers” that would help me successfully sell my timeshare. Trusting these claims, I paid their hefty upfront fee in good faith. What followed was months of inaction. There were no meaningful buyer contacts, no legitimate offers, and no proactive communication, only generic listing confirmations and vague reassurances that things were “moving along.” It became clear that once they had my money, there was little incentive to actually deliver results.
After several months of no interest, in December 2023, they contacted me with an offer for a “maintenance fee protection program,” claiming they would reimburse my timeshare maintenance fees. They failed to disclose that this program requires an ongoing fee to remain active, in addition to the upfront fees already paid. Once the initial year expires, the only way to continue protection is by paying another $1,000+ fee. They claim this is a “separate company” they are partnered with, but when attempting to clarify over the phone, it became clear that all companies are interconnected, clearly a ploy to extract more money.
The most egregious issue is their so-called “money-back guarantee.” Between November and December 2025, I submitted all required documentation proving my timeshare sold independently on RedWeek and for more money than SellMyTimeshareNow had listed it for. Despite meeting all stated criteria, they refused to honor the guarantee, responding only with delays, deflections, and obstruction.
A review of consumer forums shows a consistent pattern: upfront fees, minimal results, and difficulty or outright refusal, when attempting to claim refunds. My experience mirrors these reports exactly. This is unacceptable. Consumers deserve transparency, accountability, and honesty, not hidden fees, broken promises, and constant transfers designed to extract more money. Until they demonstrate a commitment to honoring their promises and treating customers fairly, I strongly caution anyone considering their services to think carefully before paying any upfront or ongoing fees.

It has been over 3 years and my timeshare is still not sold. I was talked into selling for various amount of money. I even told them I just wanted to cut my losses and give it away. When I talked to them 3 years ago they made me feel hopeful my timeshare would be sold. I paid thousands of dollars to be given false hopes of selling. My timeshare went from being listed for 22,000 to $1.00. It has been listed for over 3 years and I still have not received 1 inquiry. I emailed them over a week ago about a status and still received nothing. I would not recommend this company. Nor would I ever recommend buying a timeshare.

Paid $3,000 Upfront - No Offers After 1 Year - Now Told to Drop selling price from $36.999 to $6,000. On January 25th, 2025, my husband and I paid Sell My Timeshare Now $3,000 upfront to list our timeshare for sale. The agent strongly suggested that comparable units were selling between $30,000-$42,000 and recommended we list ours at $36,999. While he stated there were "no guarantees," the representation given was that similar units were actively selling in that range. After paying the fee, we received no offers and no proactive communication. By May 2025, after seeing no movement, I reached out expressing concern. I learned today (2/11/2026) that there had been zero offers on our unit since listing.
Recently, when contacted about renewing the annual dues for our "membership" (the agent who took my $3000 had never mentioned benefits or dues), I told the agent that I was never made aware of any member benefits fees. I then inquired again about the sales status. I was informed there have been no offers since January 2025. I was then told that similar units are currently selling for approximately $6,000 -- a significant difference from the $30k-$42k range originally presented to us. We were advised that if we want a quicker sale, we should lower our price to compete at the $6,000 level. Our timeshare cost us over $24k. At this point, we have paid $3,000 upfront, received no offers in over a year, and are being asked to renew membership. I encourage anyone considering this company to:
* Research actual resale values independently before paying upfront fees* Ask for verifiable proof of recent comparable sales
* Be cautious of high suggested listing prices that may not reflect the current resale market
THIS COMPANY IS UNETHICAL. Read ALL the 1/5 star reviews before you give them your money. I regret not doing more research beforehand and hope this review helps others make a more informed decision.

While initially I researched and gave the benefit of the doubt based on mixed reviews, I'm now convinced that this is quite a sham.
- Absolutely zero inquiries or engagement.
- Customer care does not actually care, or is not equipped to handle call concerns. (** tried!) Most back to back calls were 6-10 min. hold time followed by an abrupt disconnect.
Simply stated, find another way to sell your timeshare. This is not it. (Perhaps they can sell it before you expire, though.) Good luck!

I signed up with SMTN at least 2-3 years ago, and every time I call, I end up reducing the price. It's a scam... I had a timeshare with Wyndham and contacted them stating I no longer want the timeshare. They said "no problem". I filled out paperwork, submitted it, and everything was done. No problems at all. I wasn't charged one penny for that either.

Claim they are BBB accredited which I fact-checked they are not! Just have a non-deserved a rating with lots of complaints about their selling tactics! Hired SMTN on Nov. 6, 2025 to sell our MARRIOTT KAUAI timeshare and charged the $2,000 flat fee (NOT a commission and not subject to real estate laws!) to our VISA. Cancelled the listing ONE DAY later, because a friend whom we mentioned it to wanted to buy it from us. Requested a refund on Nov 7, emailing "Customer Care" (but they don't care) several times to ask when we can expect the refund - NEVER got an answer!
SIX weeks later Dec 22 had still NOT received it! Also emailed the initial representative 3 times (who responded promptly every time, claiming he'd pass my complaint on to his Director, but who apparently did NOTHING), and finally threatened to contact STATE Attorney General's Office. He promised again to remind his Director, and told me that he would make sure we get the money by Dec 23. And that's what it took to finally get the refund!! I DO NOT recommend hiring SMTN, instead using one of the well-regarded, professional and trustworthy DIY platforms to sell the timeshare YOURSELF, or to someone you know and trust!

My wife and I entered into an agreement with SMTS over two years ago to sell our timeshare. They gave us the most uplifting and encouraging sales pitch on selling our timeshare in a very quick time period. Well, as I said, we entered into the agreement with them and we didn't receive a single offer on our unit during the two years. Our unit is located in Orlando at a very nice resort. During the two-year period we lowered the asking price over half of what we originally listed at, and the beginning asking price was set at below market value.
The sales team and associates that we dealt with from SMTS were so encouraging with positive outlook, but in the end, with false hope and worthless words. We did everything they asked, and we were more aggressive than they were in lowing our asking price over this time period. The cost to enter into this agreement was the worst loss I have ever experienced with an agreement that I entered into. I would not recommend SMTS to anyone, unless you want two years of false and hopeless wording and you have money to waste.

We have used them in the past for other timeshare closings and have found them quick and efficient with assisting in the closing document portion between buyer, seller, and the timeshare firm. WARNING!!! Stay away from them!!! They make huge promises that they can't live up to. I've had mine up for sale way under its value (much of nothing), and haven't had one person interested. Now that there is VRBO and Airbnb, no one wants to buy your timeshare. Some people have theirs up for $1.00 at SMTN and can't sell them. Save your money and invest in an attorney to get rid of your timeshare. That's where I am now.

SMTN is a total scam. Do not trust them at all. In retrospect I was a total idiot to prepay for the listing of my premium Marriott timeshare. I held the listing for a year and did not get one offer. The salesman was all lip service and no customer service. Stay away from these crooks. I would have been better served by taking the money I paid them and setting it on fire.

I used this company twice to try and sell my timeshare. I was told that I could easily get a certain amount based on the HGVC membership and my home location in Hawaii. I tried to substantially reduce the price but still no offers. On my latest attempt it has been 4 months and not a single inquiry. I am sure they must sell some timeshares but I have no idea how based on the response and assurances I received. I would never use this company again. It is expensive and there are no guarantees your timeshare will ever sell.

I signed up with SMTN and then I was ghosted by the agent. Then after few months they started calling encouraging me to sign up with other companies to pay more money to transfer my timeshare for $1.00 and also another company to pay additional monies to rent or cover maintenance fees. This is a SCAM. I totally regret signing up. It’s almost a year and no traction on selling my timeshare.

We purchased our timeshare in Madeira Beach sight unseen and several states away. We executed our transaction over the telephone and by email. It was the easiest transaction I have ever made. I was a customer of SMTN this past summer. I purchased a Time Share. The total cost to me was as advertised. They processed this purchase in a timely manner and communicated with me giving me updates all along the way. I would definably use them again.

I would give negative stars if I could. The skeezy salesman Gavin, regaled me with tales of how timeshares are a scam. They depreciate in value and only a handful of people ever use them. But for some reason, I fell for it. Especially when he told me that a lot of wealthy people will go to the timeshare presentation and then leave and go to their site to buy the same properties for cheaper. He even managed to sell me on the idea that I could get my money back for his company's services ($3000 USD) by including it in my sale price. Ha! Laughable. But I fell for it.
I realized it almost immediately. I looked at my contract and I had 10 days to cancel. I put in the official request per their guidelines laid out in the contract within 5 hours. HOURS! Not days! It's been a month and I still don't have my money back. I have called at least a half dozen times. I'm always put on hold so the (very nice) representative can call some other department (yeah right) and tell me that they've escalated my request and I should get a call back tomorrow. I have NEVER received a single call back. But more than that, I have not received my money. SMTN - if you are reading this, REFUND MY MONEY IMMEDIATELY OR I WILL SEEK LEGAL ACTION.
Either this company is a total scam and is intentionally making the cancellation/refund process exceptionally difficult, or they have SO MANY cancellations to process that they literally can't keep up. But buyer beware. All they are doing is slapping a stock photo on the same ad and placing it in the long list of other similar properties. There is no customization, no personalization. Nothing to make your ad stand out from anyone else's. And they do NOTHING after they get your business to try and help sell it. Why would they? They get nothing for actually selling it. They only get money when you sign the initial contract. Do better than I did - say no! And if it's Gavin calling you, please, please tell him that it's a scam and literally sit back and laugh as he regurgitates the same memorized story about how it can't be a scam because they've been in business for over 22 years and more. He gets really angry when you call him out on his BS. :D :D :D

I think it's a big scam. They talk you into listing with them and charge a one time fee of $5,000 plus until it sells. I have never got one call saying someone is interested. You keep reducing price to get back on top of list but they still never have any buyers. You might as well list it yourself.
