Delta disappointed my 90 year old mom and me, both with mobility issues requiring wheelchairs. We had a tight timeline to our next connecting flight from Atlanta to Melbourne. The wheelchair assistants gathered us up quickly. I asked the gate attendant to call the connecting flight to let them know we were on our way and would make it on time. She said “We don’t do that.” I asked why as she continued to welcome people deboarding in Atlanta. She ignored me. We got to the gate with 10 minutes to spare but guess what? They sold our first class tickets and left 5 minutes early. I sobbed as I watched the landing gear being pulled back. No gate agent was present. The assistants wheeled us to the help desk. I was going to rent a car and drive to central Florida but asked if they could get us closer.
We were able to be squeezed onto a Jacksonville flight in the main cabin. They helped my poor mom to her seat and stowed our bags. In Jacksonville we rented a car for an exorbitant price and started our drive south. 3 hours later we arrived with an exhausted and sick mom. How is a decision made that two wheelchair passengers don’t matter on one flight, the crucial one, when on another flight they bent over backwards to accommodate us and called ahead because the plane was boarding. We are out quite a bit of money. Let’s see if Delta will refund out first class tickets and pay the $633 for a one day car rental from Hertz.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Gerald, an agent for Delta Airlines in Las Vegas, and I can’t say enough good things about him! From the moment I approached the counter, Gerald greeted me with a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm for helping customers. He handled my booking needs with professionalism and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for my trip.
Not only did Gerald make the process easy and stress-free, but he also provided great travel tips and made me feel valued as a Delta customer. His attention to detail, kindness, and efficiency truly set him apart. I left the counter feeling incredibly grateful for such a positive experience and confident about my upcoming journey. Thank you, Gerald, for your exceptional service – Delta is lucky to have you!

I keep trying to like Delta but honestly I have not had good customer service from so many staff. I always feel like they are doing me some favor when, in fact, they should be providing me a service that I PAID for. Good customer service is hard to find, especially at Delta. My final experience was watching an employee being verbally ride to the wife of an active military serviceman. She was asking some clarifying questions and the baggage agent was unnecessarily rude. I can't support corporations who don't have utmost respect for our military and their families.

We bought First class tickets, something we've never done before. This was a big price difference for us, but my husband doesn't like to fly. So, to help make him comfortable we spent the money. The way there everything was fine no complaints. The way back our seats were given to someone else, and we were put in the back not even together. This didn't go over well. No one could explain why this happened, and I had to talk to more than one person just to get us next to each other. You think it would be a no brainer that I be refunded the difference in price! I received an apology and a $30 e credit, what a joke. More than 2 weeks have gone by I've talked to 8 different people, not one has solved my problem. Today I was given a $200 e credit. I want my $279 per ticket (the difference in price) refunded to me. I will not fly Delta ever again and you shouldn't either. They can take your seats, do not refund your money and NO customer service!!!!

The plane broke down for our scheduled flight out of Midway to ATL in Chicago on 20 October. No problem. Things happen. Delta gave me a new flight which was out of O'Hara. It took them 2 1/2 hours to get me my checked bag after I was told by their baggage claim office that the bag was on its way in minutes on at least 3 different occasions. The new flight was one hour late, which caused us to miss our connecting flight in ATL to New Orleans by two minutes. You would think that Delta would know that and hold up the other flight for us like United did in a similar situation (United had the other passengers to stay seated while us and about four other passengers, whose flight were due to leave, got off the plane and held up our connecting flight while we made our way there). No, we missed that flight by two minutes. Our plane landed at gate A15 and the connecting flight left from gate A12, literally next door.
I was tricked into accepting a flight scheduled to depart the next day and was not offered a place to stay until I mentioned that me whose a 68 year old disabled vet and my ailing elderly wife could not spend the night wandering around the airport. That's when I saw a flight to New Orleans scheduled to leave in an hour. I practically had to beg to be put on that flight as a standby before the ticket agent relented. We had to sit in different rows even though I paid extra for the privilege of choosing our seats and sitting together. Delta has not mentioned a refund for that privilege or even offered an apology. Side note: I purchased this flight along with a rental car and hotel through Expedia and have requests from Expedia to review the hotel and car, but not Delta. I wonder why?

Delta Airlines is awful, even in first class, but especially going through JFK. I recently purchased two business class tickets on Delta/KLM. Both the outbound and the inbound flight connections were exceedingly bad. KLM, their partner, was great, but at every point, Delta was involved nothing good happened. As a two million-mile flyer, this service highlighted everything that could be bad.
Landed at JFK, plane is on time but gate is occupied, 30min delay. Deplane, received the luggage and dropped it at Delta baggage then onto security. 1st class or TSA precheck, neither is moving but TSA agent says go precheck. 30 minutes in line, asking for help to get through to catch a flight, no help from Delta but you think 1st class international customer Delta will hold the plane and is looking for us, don’t panic. Got through security and ran to the gate, 17 if you know JFK it is the farthest gate possible.
Arrived, out of breath, 5 min before departure but the door is closed and boarding is over! "Sorry, you missed the flight. Yes your bags are on the plane and no we will not pull them off, this is a domestic flight and according to TSA, it is ok that your bags fly without you." No flights that night and the first flight is the next day at 11:38 but Delta will not honor the 1st class ticket, have seat in economy. No hotel overnight accommodation, nothing. Finally rented a car, no Delta refused that also, and drove home. Final nail in the coffin, Delta said the 1st class tickets had a value of $37! Your belief that Delta will treat you well is misplaced.

It was in the morning of Sunday June 30, 2024, at Baltimore Airport. My family and I were shocked to learn that our flight into Canada had been cancelled due to an ongoing strike action by West Jet. In spite of the unwelcome development, there was an angel on hand to help calm our nerves and help salvage the situation. Her name is Hattia. She worked her brains, worked the phones and her computers to ensure that she provided us with the best alternatives available under the circumstances. And she did! I was on my way back home to Los Angeles from Cancun. Not only my airfare was more expensive than other airlines such as Alaska and Aeromexico, the service was just really so so. There are no meal provided to and from Los Angeles and the flights were right at meal time. I kept thinking what services they have provided that deserve higher airfare, but I don’t find any. Even other cheaper airline provides free WiFi on board as well.
On top of that, they subject their passengers to a “tsa bag search” at the boarding gate, where they randomly selected passengers and forced them to a bag search. My friend who took another airlines told me they don’t see such search happening at their gates. And I wonder how “randomly” those passengers were selected. All were traveling alone, and minority. Not only the staff asked me to take my carry on baggage to check stations in a stern voice as if I’ve done something wrong, I had to open the bag for the staff to examine. I then have to take off my shoes and let them check my shoes and socks. All these happened at the gate at a slow speed while people kept passing by and watching. I passed the check of course but I’ll never take Delta Air Lines again. Save some money and save the trouble.

Two evenings in a row now I have called Delta Airlines and the automated system stated that instead of waiting on hold they would call back and I will not lose your place in line... Well, I've been waiting for 2 days for a call back... Yesterday, they stated they would call back in 1 hour and 10 minutes and today they said they would call back in 50 minutes... Today it's been over 2 hours... So technically I've been on hold for 2 days for these people to call me back... I would do everything online if it wouldn't continue to read "Oops something went wrong on our end"... Seriously I'm a Delta sky miles member... Just be straight... If you're not going to call back, then just say... "Oops, lol we're not going to call back, jokes on you"... You have horrible customer service...

I had a connecting flight in Seattle and Delta changed the gate at the last minute. I asked if they would let the next gate know I was coming since it was in another terminal and I would barely make it. They would not call them. I ran through the airport and made it to the new gate before the departure time but the plane left 9 minutes early. I now have to pay for a new flight on Alaska or wait in the airport with and small child until tomorrow! This is terrible customer service from Delta. They just don't care about their customers!!

Delta did not serve soda or juice when the inflight beverage cart rolled around. They only served water, coffee, tea, and wine. I do not drink and will never drink coffee, tea, or wine, and thus, I was stuck with water. They serve soda on other flights, including other Delta flights; I always get ginger ale. I was disappointed that Delta did not courteously serve me ginger ale. I was flying from Salt Lake to Albuquerque, a short one-hour and six-minute flight. I don't know if that was their reason for a subpar beverage and snack service. Our flight to Albuquerque departed on time with no issues. Delta does not know how to staff a flight.
The Flight from SLC to ABQ was supposed to depart Friday night, wait on the tarmac for a few hours, and depart from ABQ to SLC at 5:00 AM. They couldn't staff the SLC to ABQ flight because of union-time working rules and had to run it the next morning instead. I had to work the next morning at 10:30 and needed that 5:00 AM flight, which only allowed for a short delay in getting to work on time. The flight didn't depart until 10:25 AM, and thus, I was 2:15 minutes late to work. I lost the work time because I am hourly and only get paid when I work.
My work was also not happy that I was forced to show up 2:15 minutes late to work, they needed me to work and help the operation bring in revenue. I thought Delta was a reliable airline, with good service. I guess not, as such I will look into flying other carriers next time. Delta is the only carrier that flies directly from SLC to ABQ, and direct was the best option. Airlines are the only business that can have terrible service and still have people book flights with them.

The Delta e-credit system is flawed, and there is no notice of it until it's too late. When using an e-credit that has an upcoming expiration date, any dollars spent on a new ticket that partially uses and e-credit actually expires along with the original e-credit expiration date. So new dollars spent can expire very quickly even if you cancel the flight and get an e-credit it. This is a bad flaw in their system.

Would give 0 if allowed. They overbook, overpromise, underdeliver and do not care about you or your life. They want $. That’s all you are is a dollar in their checkbook. 9 flights in a year and 7 had major issues and delays. Not a single dollar of compensation. I would stand outside of their headquarters with a sign if I thought they could actually read it or care. Better off trying your luck on a boat.

My husband and I booked first-class flights with Delta to Hawaii for our honeymoon. On September 27th, our connection was canceled, but we managed to rebook and still fly first class, though we lost a day in Hawaii. On October 4th, our return flight was canceled again. This time, we were downgraded to the main cabin, and Delta claimed there was nothing they could do. They put us in a cheap hotel, turning what should have been a week of love and celebration into a chaotic and disappointing experience.

Had a First class seat from GR, MI to DTW yesterday. The last 30-40 mins we had to listen to the lead FA argue with another FA about something that had happened earlier. Very unprofessional. I also brought 2 bags of Better Made chips back with me and I placed them at my feet with being in first row. The first FA asked me to put them in the overhead, I simply asked, "My chips?" And she said, "Oh ok they can stay." The Lead FA came up and made me put them in the overhead bin and of course they were all crushed. My dog doesn't even like the crushed ones. I am a weekly frequent flyer on Delta Air Lines, although issues arise with delays, weather, maintenance and other such items, one area that shouldn't come into question, is where you are on the upgrade list! Recently I flew a short flight from CHS to ATL. On this particular flight I did not receive an upgrade, As I took my seat I looked over my Delta app and noticed I was number 1 on the upgrade list for Delta Comfort. As the flight was fully boarded, the gate agent came on board and moved two Delta Comfort passengers up to First Class.
While I knew I would soon see the Gate Agent come over to my seat and offer me one of the open Delta Comfort seats, Nope! Walked right past me and asked a flight attendant sitting in row19 if she wanted to relocate to the Delta comfort seat. So, I thought maybe the next seat that opened may fall into my lap, Nope! They gave this seat to a pilot that was sitting in the cockpit. I think it is time to move away from Delta anyway.

A nice lady called me to say the bags had arrived, and when I went to the airport to retrieve our two, very heavy bags, I met two of the nicest people at the Delta counter who quickly offered to carry the bags outside and put the bags in my car! Delta flight attendant is not up to their standard as to why I fly them. I was on DL 0694 on September 25, 2024. I have been flying only with Delta Air Lines first class for the last 20 years and have never encountered a problem as I did tonight. The flight attendant and first class Sadya decided to stop serving us drinks without reason. We were not belligerent. We were not loud. We were not disruptive. The only thing I can think of that we did wrong was I did not know how to open the bathroom door. For the past 20 years, I was 336 pounds and have never used a restroom on an airplane before, the fact that I did not know how to open the door was not surprising to me, but apparently it made her feel that she needed to cut off service to us. I have loved Delta for 20 years and her behavior is embarrassing and it should not be tolerated by Delta as to the standards that they keep for their flight attendants.

When this was noticed by us we tried to get our seats back to where we had purchased them but we were unable to do so. On 9/17/2024 I had the worst experience with this airline. This was my first time and my last time I will ever fly with them. I arrived to board the plane from LGA to BNA and was talked to very crazy by the lady scanning the boarding passes, not only was she rude to me but she was rude to my colleagues as well. She told me the bag I had was not a carry-on and next time I would be charged but I didn’t have a problem before when I flew in on Southwest and even when I checked in for this flight until I tried to board.
She snatched my bag out of my hand and placed the tag on it, threw my bag on the floor then instructed me on where to take it. After that, I was on the plane, she came on the plane and started in on another passenger. This was the worst experience of my life and just so the right person will be addressed. This was the flight leaving at 8:00 pm that day boarding at 7:30 if this helps. Please instruct this lady if it wasn’t for people she wouldn’t have a job, she needs some customer service training.

Commercial airline quality has been declining for a long time so I’d have to give the entire industry a low rating, not just Delta. When I was checking in, I was told that the bag I paid $35 to check was 6 pounds over the limit so it would be an additional $100, or I could transfer some stuff to my carry-on. This is an obvious scam since both bags are going on the same plane. I realize this is an industry standard that came about after 2008 when fuel prices shot up, but now it’s just an outright scam. Industry standard prior to 2008 was to allow one checked bag and one carryon, no fee for a single checked bag. The whole airline industry sucks across the board. I just happened to have this experience with Delta so they get the review.

When this was not honored due to a change of the plane (which is understandable), I contacted Delta via the chat on their website and they advised me to submit a refund request through a form on the website. I went and requested a refund for the extra amount that I had paid ($50 at the time for the "main" cabin as opposed to "basic economy"). They decided to finally get back to me after ONE MONTH, just to let me know that they declined the request. When I asked why, they said it was because I hadn't paid extra for a seat upgrade, and don't count the "main" cabin purchase as having paid extra.
I asked for an explanation as to why this was any different, and they did not offer an explanation and still refused to refund me. Fly with Delta if you want, but do not pay extra for the "main" cabin. You can indicate whatever seat you want and pay extra for that, but there's a good chance you won't ever get that seat, and good luck if you try to get a refund for your ticket after that!

I have been a Delta Airlines customer for several years now and this was my airline of choice for most, if not all my travels. Unfortunately, I was one of the thousands of passengers who got caught trying to fly 3 days after their initial IT outage. I hate to state that I still have to consider myself lucky to have reached my destination after more than 8 flight delays, 3 cancelations, and several rebookings of my flights to Atlanta and final destination.
My review is based on the lack of a contingency plan for an IT outage, and poor customer handling (I arrived at my destination 8 hours after I was supposed to be there. I almost lost my rental reservation and kept calling the hotel to let them know I was going to be arriving late). Meanwhile, Delta did not make any attempts to offer water, meal vouchers or any other arrangements even when this is mandatory per the Department of Transportation and a federal rule.
In the end, they offered 10,000 miles, which if you convert, comes to be less than $50 for your inconvenience. That didn't cover one meal at the airport. For a corporation that states that it is the best airline in the world, this is not the way you handled this situation. I would encourage others to seek alternative routes like American Airlines, United, or any other major airline for their future travels. They also lost my bag during this trip luckily I had an air tag and was able to locate it and they got it back to me 3 days later (for a 5-day business trip) not fun.

When it was our turn the third attendant called out next. We walked down and the person leaving decided to turn back and get into further discussion about the items he was attempting to bring on the plane. The attendant ignored us completely as the line behind us continued to be processed by other attendants. We finally went back to the line, still without any acknowledgement and this was right as the airport opened. No fresh attitudes that day. The attendant that finally helped us started to tell us we were in the skymiles line and I told him flat out that we were directed there by his employee.
On our return trip we were delayed and missed our bus. The last bus was leaving ten minutes after we landed. I had informed the stewardess in flight that we needed to run off the plane. They were very kind during the convo but offered zero assistance, leaving us in line to deplane. We missed the bus by 3 minutes and spent 4.5 hours on a bench waiting overnight for the next bus. I'm diabetic and had to rely on gummy bears to maintain my sugar levels.
The last time I flew Delta was a few years ago. As we landed at JFK they took a very long time to deplane. A brawl broke out and it was all around me. They finally calmed. As we were walking into the airport the fight renewed, again I was caught in the middle, and I was scratched by a woman reaching for the woman behind me. Delta Flight DL1957 from Jamaica to JFK on Monday, August 26, 2024 was a terrible experience. First, the air conditioning was not on until an hour into the flight. It was uncomfortably hot for that hour. Next, drink and snack service was not started/offered until 2 hours into the flight. They had to split cans of soda up because they did not have enough to give you a whole can. They had granola, sun chips, almonds, and cookies, along with snack boxes that you could purchase. You would think that’s a decent selection but then they started running out on their first run and for some reasons were hoarding the chips. When I asked for some they said they didn’t have anymore, but one stewardess walked by with a whole tray of them. So I asked again and she said “let me check” and went to the back of the plane and brought a bag back because she knew I clearly saw the tray.
Next, my wife wanted to watch the live TV. But it didn’t work… the whole flight. It keep saying that it only works in the lower 48 but once we got over Florida there’s no reason why it should not work at this point. My wife and I are not looking for anything from Delta, we just want them to do better, period. We all pay so much money, an unnecessary amount at times, to fly on these monopolies they call “the major carriers” and we continue to receive less and less in return. It’s shameful.

So these airlines are ripping people off on a daily basis. This government allows them to change the prices multiple times per day without any repercussions. I had 3 tickets at $194 each and when you try to purchase them it magically changes to a higher rate and says "no longer available". Then customer service will tell you they have no option to honor the price. Meanwhile the same amount of seats are available, empty flight, what a joke. DELTA is a joke to me now. I haven’t even gone in my trip and I have had numerous issues, starting with a cancelled flight due to “inclement weather” when multiple other airlines were able to fly to my destination on the same day. Delta did NOTHING to get me on one of those flights. In addition, I have had to call the airline FIVE separate times to correct issues or make changes because their website wasn’t working. This has put me on hold for up to TWO HOURS trying to do something as simple as change a seat or ensure my pre-check number was added (an issues they never resolved). This is on top of the fact that they LOST MY BAG several years ago during an international trip with no explanation. DO NOT FLY DELTA. Choose any other airline and you will have a better experience.

Delta HAD a reputation for being the best. Now it is nothing better than Spirit airlines. There is chaos everywhere - from seat assignments to not having WiFi- every aspect of Delta is a mess. Average wait time on the 1800 helpline is about an hour and a half or more. On top of that, they mark most of the cancellations as “weather-related” so they don’t have to pay for hotel and other things. However, we do get a response from executive management when we reach out. Most issues are handled by small compensations like a $75 credit towards next time we fly.
Not to mention, Delta partnered with the terrible airline called WestJet. They have no clue what they’re doing. I call them WorstJet. Their customer service is nonexistent, even when we write to executive office and inform them about our issues. Handoff between Delta and WestJet for connecting flights is terrible. Horrible response by Delta. Amsterdam to Minneapolis international flight. Customs was checking about 325 hundred people, with only two people checking everybody in. Took us over an hour just to get through customs. We finally made it to our gate. And the doors had closed just two minutes prior. Had customs even had one more person checking people through. We would have made our gate by ten to fifteen minutes easy. Delta's response is that they couldn't open the door anymore, even though the plane wasn't leaving for another eight to ten minutes. The flight left today fifteen pm. The only other option to get us home. The soonest was to get a flight. That left three hours later and arrived home through a connecting flight the next morning, which was about eight hours after the flight took off, which was about eleven hours after our original flight time.
The Delta agent at the gate said that it was bad because of Minneapolis, Minnesota Airport does that on a regular basis. They only have minimal people checking in customs while always scheduling 2 to 3 international flights coming in about the same time each day. This isn't so much Delta's fault. Rather, the customs' fault in the Minneapolis Airport. However, if this is a regular thing for the Minneapolis Airport and Delta is aware of it, along with all other international airlines, they should make accommodations so that they don't book connecting flights so quickly after the expected arrival of the International flight.
I will definitely never book my international or any flights for Minneapolis if I can avoid it going forward. I still have issues with Delta based on the way that they responded. They said they could get us at a hotel and Uber, but by the time we got the hotel and Uber ride back to the airport, we would only get about two hours of sleep and then we'd have to get up, get ready and come back to the airport. We now also have to come up with eating, most likely dinner and breakfast, when we could have actually had both at home.

I recently had a dreadful experience with Delta Airlines that has shattered my perception of their customer service. Over two separate incidents, I endured more than 12-hour delays on two different flights, with Delta refusing to provide food or hotel vouchers until the last minute. One of these delays lasted until 1 am, a time when any traveler would expect basic accommodations. To make matters worse, Delta canceled my flight and couldn't rebook me for another five days. When I requested hotel and food accommodations, I was dismissively told, "this is not a Delta issue." I spent a grueling 30 hours texting Delta's support, three hours on the phone, and four hours in various lines, only to hear the same unsatisfactory responses.
The behavior of some Delta agents was appalling. One agent laughed and mocked me as I was visibly distressed, even joking with a colleague, "haha this is my first customer for the day." Despite my repeated requests, I was never allowed to speak to a supervisor, with the excuse that it was "against company policy to transfer to a supervisor." Delta's compensation for this ordeal was an insulting $75, despite my out-of-pocket expenses exceeding $800 for food and transportation. They flatly refused to reimburse any of these costs.
When you choose Delta, you expect a certain standard of customer service, but my experience has completely destroyed that expectation. I've never witnessed such widespread disdain, mockery, and refusal to assist from airline staff. Another shocking incident involved an agent telling a family with crying children at nearly 2 am, "I am off for the day and need to go home; you can’t expect us to work all day." The flight attendants instructed us to pay for the $25 Wi-Fi (per person- traveling in a party of 3). As well that the flight attendants would go and issue us a refund of some sorts for the technical error. The flight attendants said we’d receive an email with the refund/credit. We never did. I called Delta customer service in which I was met by a representative from Minneapolis Department. She offered 5,000 miles which I wanted in dollars. That equates $50. I said that was not enough for having no entertainment on a 12 hour flight (mind you we looked up in flight services before boarding expecting to have access to movies for a long flight and traveling with a child). Ultimately the representative offered $100 per passenger.
I asked to speak to a manager as it was also becoming difficult to get a refund for the WiFi we were told to purchase. I was then met by a manager named Heather from Salt Lake City. Heather was extremely rude to me. Not empathetic at all to the scenario. Laughed at my issue with not having a working monitor. Made snarky remarks. Talked over me and didn’t try to listen. Heather is a manager representing Delta's customer service and she had little to no customer service skills. There were more staff at the "Sky Priority SELF SERVICE" counters, so we were forced to use that in order to proceed. It appears Delta does not want Sky Priority customers to use full service, and forces you to self-service. Which might be more understandable for regular priced tickets, but for First Class / Sky Priority PRICES, the concept of "self service" is a contradiction in terms and therefore should not even exist!!!! SHAME ON YOU DELTA - keep this up, and you will lose all my business.

I was very disappointed in my experience with Delta on June 23, 2024. We were flying home from NYC, scheduled to leave Laguardia at 5 pm, with my daughter and her family. They were flying on American, also departing at 5 pm. We had checked out of our hotel, but hadn't left for the airport when I got an email and a text saying our flight home was cancelled and that we were rebooked on a flight the next day. My daughter checked American, but did not get such notification, so she and her family headed to Laguardia and took off on schedule. I scrambled to find a hotel for that night, and I called Delta cusomer service. The representative was friendly and helpful. She told me that the reason given for the cancellation was an air traffic control issue, due to weather at Laguardia. It was a hot day, but no bad weather in the forecast. I explained that my daughter and her family were able to fly out on American without issue, which she acknowledged was curious.
We incurred extra expenses of nearly $600, including an extra night at another hotel, 3 additional meals, and transportation. When I got home, I called and spoke to another helpful representative, who told me exactly how to file a complaint with Delta and submit my receipts. I did get a response in a timely matter from Delta, but they offered no compensation. In the explanation on voice message, there was mention of "wildfires in the area", and that air traffic control is beyond their control, so they couldn't offer me anything. The fact that my daughter's flight took off without issue contradicts the explanation I was given, since we were going to the same destination, at the same time. I think the answer is to fly American from now on!

Delta Airlines: A Masterclass in Mismanagement and Hypocrisy. Delta Airlines should be the poster child for unethical behavior and corporate hypocrisy. My first and last experience with them was a disaster that perfectly illustrates their disregard for customers. I was foolish enough to believe my business trip credit would be honored, but instead, Delta showcased their incompetence through a series of failures, including repeated last-minute reschedules and unacceptable delays. The most scandalous part was when Delta arbitrarily decided to expire my $583 credit in July, despite my records clearly showing an October expiration. Their actions directly caused me to miss a family reunion and a memorial for my husband, pivotal moments that I can never get back.
Delta's response? Utter silence. No attempt to rectify their error, no acknowledgment of the distress they caused. Instead, they plaster their social media with vacuous posts, completely detached from the realities their customers face. It’s evident that Delta's only concern is their bottom line, not the people who trust them with their travel. I warn everyone to steer clear of Delta Airlines. They are not just a disappointment; they are a detriment to the very concept of customer service. "Engaging with them is nothing short of enabling a corporate thief that preys on its customers."
Travel Tip: "If you must fly with Delta, ensure all your travel documents and credit confirmations are digitally backed up and accessible. Stay proactive by regularly confirming your flight details directly through Delta’s official channels, and be prepared for potential last-minute changes. By keeping meticulous records, you might better navigate their system and protect yourself from any arbitrary decisions."

Delta customer service is TERRIBLE!! You pay more to have a better experience, but when you actually need help, you're left with ZERO communication. Due to a medical emergency onboard our cruise ship, I had to cancel and rebook flights. Originally, I was flying home with United for $250, but the only new flight home I could get was with Delta for $700!
I was in a bit of a panic because we didn't have the extra money, so I used the SkyMiles I had been saving up for over a year (first time using Skymiles ever)! I've been trying to get reimbursed by my travel insurance for over 2 months but they won't reimburse me unless I have a CASH VALUE receipt. I've been told by MULTIPLE Delta agents, through email, phone and text that all I had to do was request that info. by sending a specific email, which I did, twice.
After waiting 15 days, I FINALLY get an email back saying they can't help me. When I tried to call about it, I was told customer care is STRICTLY email and there is not a human I could speak to over the phone about it. I text someone at customer care and expressed my frustration. They told me, (in not-so-nice terms), there was nothing they could do to help me and if I continued to contact them, my emails/texts would be ignored!!! All I want is a receipt! I'm not asking them to pay for my flight... that's why I got travel insurance! I can't even talk to a real person about it, and when I call the 1800 number, I only ever get reservations and people who tell me the wrong thing!!! I'm SO frustrated to be treated like that! At the very least, customer service should have people you can TALK TO!

On our way to the airport Delta texted to say the airline had canceled our flight and that they could not rebook our trip. They offered a credit on a future flight (!?!). In 30+ years of international travel I have never experienced this before. We had to get to our destination that day. In the taxi I was able to book tickets on another airline, flying from another airport. It was expensive to do so. As well, our taxi fare was over $200 by the time we got to the second airport. We called Delta and insisted on a refund rather than the credit. They did issue the refund. Nevertheless, I will not book with Delta again and do not recommend this airline.

Here's a revised version of your review: I had a very bad experience with Delta Airlines. We were traveling from Toronto to New York, with our final destination being Colombia. Our first flight got delayed because the plane couldn’t land. We were relieved when we received a message from Delta informing us that our second flight was also delayed. However, when we finally landed in New York, we discovered that our second flight had left without us, and there was no delay on their end despite the message I showed to the gate agent. There was no apology or any assistance, and we were simply directed to the Delta "How Can I Help You" desk. When we got there, we were told that we had definitely missed our flight, again with no apology, even though it was their fault. This shows a lack of accountability from the company, ignoring customers missing connecting flights and not acting on it.
We had to fight at the Delta desk to arrange an overnight stay and take another flight the following day. This meant we had to pay for a hotel and cover the inconvenience caused to us. Claiming our luggage took hours, and we were told we had to pay for the hotel, with no care for the time lost. Again, there was no apology or any show of interest or responsibility from Delta. This was my first time flying with this airline, and it will be the last for me and my whole family. It’s very sad that this is how they treat their customers, with no accountability. Horrible experience, very disappointing customer service, and little consideration for the trouble caused. My time and inconvenience were not valued by them. It’s just sad that one of the most profitable airlines treats its customers this way.

But then we were suppose to take off but the bridge was broke and delayed us another 45 mins causing us to miss our connection flight to Bozeman MT. We were told to go to customer service. Upon arriving we were told from the lady behind the counter we were booked in the flight for the next day. But my buddy and I had to works so we said would y'all pay for a rental car and we would just drive home? The lady said yes and I will put in there is was an inconvenience on their end. Well they lied and are still refusing to pay us back as they said they would. We are out several hundred of dollars because Delta doesn’t tell the truth. I had bought a ferret online and the seller had decided to use the Delta Airline Service to get her to us from Atlanta, GA to FW Airport for us to receive her. At first things seemed to go well but then they told her that there was an insurance requirement of $200 for exotic animals, so we pitched in to cover it. That wasn't really a concern since it was redeemable after the flight, so we overlooked it. The real problem started after that though, the day we were expecting to receive Coco the ferret we found out 6 hrs after her designated arrival that she was detained in the Oklahoma City International Airport. Not only did we wait 6 hrs at the airport waiting to be told this information, but apparently the reason for all this was because the crate was rejected mid-flight. Both me and the seller were told that we would either had to purchase a $1,000 to 3,000 medicated crate or rent one for $100.
We agreed to rent one, but then we were also told the we were missing a USDA permit in our names and a custom permit which are required by law for exotic animals. Shouldn't they have told us all beforehand prior to the flight? Not only did we use money for the first flight on June 21 and lost that flight due to the detention, but now we have to pay to reschedule the flight for the 30 or 31st and pay the night fee and feeding for Coco (ferret's name). The service was lacking, we weren't told beforehand what we would need which was clearly oversight from the Airline which provided this service, and overall the entire scandal was stressful for me, the seller, and the ferret in question. I can say for sure that I'll think twice before using this Airline again.

Also there is not an airline out there that has the lack of leg room that Delta does. They are far more concerned about making money than having people be semi comfortable. I have flown with Delta for 40 years. Last week I flew to California for a couples vacation. The trip from Atlanta to Los Angeles was OK. The trip from San Francisco back to Atlanta was a nightmare. 1) My girlfriend And I booked months ahead of time and chose our seats. On the day of departure, they changed aircraft and moved us so we were no longer sitting together. 2) I had TSA pre-check on my profile in the Delta app and it worked perfectly coming from Atlanta to LA but during the week I was there they removed it so I stood in line until I got to the station and they did not have my pre-check so I had to get out of line, go through the terminal, find a Delta rep, correct the problem which was theirs and go back and stand in line again.
3) I had requested a wheelchair because I’ve had two procedures recently and I’m on dialysis. There was no one there to help could not find a rep to get one so on my walking through the terminal into the gate was a great pain and distress to me. Lastly, and probably the worst, when I called Customer Service all they could do was come up with. It’s not their fault even though it was their fault. I live in Atlanta. I know many pilots and I’ve known the president of Dr. airlines and the CEO they would be rolling over their grades if they knew what their company had become.

My family will NEVER fly with Delta AGAIN! 2 hour delay with no explanation of why, people having panic attacks wondering if there were mechanical issues with plane. Cabin filled with the overwhelming stench of Jet Fuel upon take off, Pilot landed the plane like he had no landing gear and took FOREVER to de-board the plane as the employees talked amongst themselves while we were traveling in cabin with our DOG who they stressed beyond belief. Wanting to give us a $50 credit for our trouble and you cannot get to management because they hide behind emails and you have to go thru their 7 day complaint system before they HOPEFULLY reach out to you via email.
To pay 2k for these round trip tickets is unconscionable when you have to be disrespected as a customer flying with Delta. This flight was a total disaster and the return flight was a 40 minute parking lot on the tarmac while they tried to get a space to de-board the plane. ANOTHER delay with ZERO accountability. I’m writing this letter to let you know how disappointed I am with the Delta Airlines and the entire staff. I planned this trip to New York in November 2023 as a Christmas present for my husband. He loves baseball so we were going to New York to watch a Yankees game at noon on June 23rd. Our flight was 1pm on June 22nd. We were on the flight and there was a storm in New York so we had to hang out in the air while it passed. Well then we were running low on fuel so the pilot stopped at Harrisburg PA to fuel up and on to New York. Harrisburg didn’t have enough employees so fuel was taking a long time. At that point the pilots come over the speaker that they had timed out for the day. Everyone was taken off the plane at 4pm and not told anything else until 9 pm when they finally decided to cancel our flight. The lady at the counter yelled out that if anyone was rude or had an attitude she wouldn’t help anyone (isn’t that her job to help customers).
Ok great. Our flight is cancelled, when can you get us to New York. They said we would be rebooked the next day at 11:30 am. Remember you cancelled our flight at 9pm. Our luggage did not come out at baggage claim till 11pm. We DID NOT get a hotel voucher and had to pay for a room in Harrisburg PA for 4 hours of sleep. We would totally miss what we were going to New York. We had paid for plane tickets, Yankees ticket, hotel and we never got to New York. By the time we would get to New York it would almost be time to come back home. This is utterly disappointing. We own a small business and rarely get to go on vacation. The entire trip was ruined.
We ended up on a flight back to Nashville TN the next morning at 6am. The very rare chance we get to go out of town was ruined by your airlines. We are asking compensation for money spent on the vacation we didn’t get to go on, both hotel, plane tickets and the Yankees ticket, the bags taking longer than 20 mins at baggage claim and honestly just all around poor customer service and lack of communication. We normally fly Southwest but took a chance and we will not be flying Delta again after this experience.

I was scheduled to fly out of Sky Harbor airport on 6/20/24 at 6:10am via Delta airlines. I arrived at the airport at approximately 4:20am and proceeded to wait in line to check a bag. I was unable to do this beforehand due to a system/application error. A man from curbside check-in offered to check my bags due to the long line. He checked my bag and gave me my boarding passes. On my way to security, I noticed that both boarding passes were identical and were for the SLC to RDM leg of my trip and did not include PHX to SLC.
I went back and asked the man about this, and he took me over to a help desk where he and two others tried to identify the problem for about 10 minutes or so. They told me I didn’t buy the first part of the trip even though I booked it as a round trip from PHX. I showed them my receipt and the Delta app with my confirmation number and my actual seat number on the PHX to SLC flight. They dismissed that and told me to go wait in the line for assisted check-in. The assisted check-in line took about 30 minutes to get through despite having only about 12-15 customers ahead of me.
When I did get to the desk, I was again told that I didn’t purchase the first leg of my trip. I showed the same info and was dismissed again. I was offered to pay 360 or so dollars to get on the flight I already purchased. I declined and showed her my receipt again with the confirmation number and itinerary which included the PHX to SLC portion of the trip. She then stayed on the phone for 30 minutes trying to resolve the issue. She told me she’d rush me through security when she was off the phone since the departure time was only about 15 minutes away. She got off the phone and confirmed I was on the flight and brought be to security ahead of the line.
I then ran the entire distance from security to gate F10 only to have them close the gate on me. When they came back out, they informed me they did receive a call to hold the gate but were “never given a name” so they closed it. They said there’s nothing they could do, and I’d have to take another flight. The flight they booked me for would have me arrive after my assigned transportation in Redmond and disrupt my previously scheduled plans costing me hundreds of dollars. I ended up having to spend 715 dollars on a one-way ticket to Redmond just to get there on time.
Nobody I spoke with at the airport from Delta was particularly concerned that they made me miss my flight and were more than happy to try and blame me for the issue. It seemed like they only asked for a receipt to show me I was wrong and that I was in fact to blame. When I did show them the information, they quickly dismissed it and then tried to make me pay (again) for that part of the trip.
The whole experience was a comedy of errors and poor customer service. But hey, as a consolation, Delta offered to reimburse me for the flight I didn’t take and offered me a whole 3,000 miles – that’s around 36 USD if you’re curious. At least my checked bag made it on the original flight; yep, see if you can make any sense of that. Remember, if Delta decides not to honor your flight arrangements for inexplicable reasons, they claim no responsibility and will offer you almost the cost of a checked bag for the inconvenience. I’ll never fly Delta again.
PS: if you can read the attached photo then you can verify a flight better than the Delta staff.

We were then stranded at Minneapolis Airport and subject to a $600 per day rental car rate with SIXT because of "supply and demand issues" with rental cars. Then the captain came on and said we were going to have to be board the plane and they were going to move to another gate to get on another plane.
Captain stated this was ridiculous. We should’ve never bought this plane they should’ve scheduled, moved us to plane and then it was very sorry that we had to wait this long. So we finally got on another flight and left Detroit after 1 AM in the morning. When we arrived at Buffalo all the rental car centers closed for the night. Would not open until 6:30 AM. I missed my hotel stay for the night. The Delta says they will not reimburse me. It’s over $200. Was over 36 hours because I had to go to customer site and do the work that I was scheduled to do for that day.
I spoke to a Delta agent and he told me I need to File a complaint and they Delta would compensate me for this. So I did exactly that, I contact a person at Delta rain with Joy. She was not a joy to work with. Delta slogan from this department is "We care." I can tell you Delta does not care. Joy then also told me after several emails back and forth that they do not compensate for my hotel stay due to this type of issue.
I can understand if this was due to weather. This was not, this was due to Delta incompetence and deciding to do maintenance on a flight schedule to be in Buffalo. Why Delta whatever choose to do something like this makes absolutely no sense. To put the passengers out so that we do not have the ability to get a rental car staying in a hotel get sleep for the night makes absolutely no sense and he slapped in the face by telling me that 3000 points was my compensation and they would not pay me for my hotel was ridiculous. One of our worst flight experiences ever is happening on Delta. We were supposed to fly from Venice to Atlanta to San Diego. I received two notices of flight delays the day before our flight out of Venice, but they had rescheduled our connecting flight and said all is well. We got to the Venice airport early and the board showed an even further delay, but the woman issuing our tickets at check in said not to worry because it really wouldn’t be that late. We were sitting in the area and I heard conversations about being rerouted, so we got back in the line for 45 minutes and then were told the flight was cancelled, even though they hadn’t posted it on the board.
By that time, the people who had been ticketed after our first time in line had taken all of the tickets on other flights. We had to stay overnight at a hotel that was basically a youth hostel in a run-down area by a train station many miles away from Venice. Because of concern that the next day’s flight would not materialize, we slept little, and early in the morning were transported back to the airport. That flight did take place, but the connecting flight has been on the runway for hours after we were loaded on because of repairs needed in the cargo area that apparently hadn’t been inspected ahead of time. The floor in front of my seat is covered with goldfish crackers, so the plane also had not been cleaned. Two days and we still have not gotten home.

From their tech systems failing and not talking to each other, surreptitiously deleting eCredits, outsourcing customer service to poorly trained non-English speakers, gate agents no longer caring, destroying their loyalty and lounge programs, actively throwing up roadblocks to simple conveniences like being able to book family reservations together to avoid upgrades, to customer service agents providing wildly incorrect information and going so far as to straight up lying to customers, Delta has achieved the impossible and become a worse airline than United or Spirit. Title: Delta Airlines: Disappointing Ticket Cancellation Policy and Paltry Refunds. As a frequent traveler, I've encountered my fair share of airline policies, but none have been as frustrating and disappointing as Delta Airlines' ticket cancellation policy. Let me start by saying that the 24-hour cancellation window is ridiculously short and unforgiving. Life happens, plans change, and sometimes circumstances force you to alter your travel arrangements beyond this restrictive timeframe. However, Delta seems to lack any empathy or flexibility in this regard.
Recently, I had to cancel a ticket I had purchased due to unforeseen circumstances. Imagine my dismay when I realized that I had to cancel within a mere 24 hours of booking to be eligible for any refund whatsoever. This policy is not only inconvenient but also entirely unreasonable. It essentially forces travelers into a rushed decision-making process, leaving no room for any change of plans or emergencies that may arise shortly after booking.
But the disappointment didn't end there. Upon canceling my ticket, I was shocked to discover that Delta imposed a hefty $99 cancellation fee. To add insult to injury, they offered me a measly $91 refund for a ticket that originally cost $200. It's simply outrageous that Delta sees fit to penalize their customers to such an extent for exercising their right to cancel within the designated timeframe.
The $99 cancellation fee policy feels like a slap in the face to loyal customers who have already invested a significant amount of money in their travel plans. It's a clear case of Delta prioritizing profit over customer satisfaction and goodwill. Such predatory practices not only tarnish the airline's reputation but also erode trust and loyalty among passengers.
In conclusion, Delta Airlines' abysmal ticket cancellation policy and paltry refunds demonstrate a blatant disregard for customer convenience and fairness. Travelers beware: unless you're absolutely certain of your plans within 24 hours of booking, be prepared to forfeit a substantial portion of your hard-earned money to Delta's unreasonable fees.

FYI-I flew with Delta this month and received very bad service throughout. Nobody helped, even when I (obviously) needed some help to the gate due to a fall I just had at the screening area. A person with a large cart stacked too high with gray bins was coming towards the area way too fast, so I had to step back to avoid being run into. This caused the fall. Adding much more to my previous knee injury 3 months prior and compounded a new area of the same leg- now hip too.
Because the screening area was very busy, causing a very lengthy time to pass through to board my flight, I had to get to the last gate as fast as I could, because boarding had started. I arrived to the airport more than an hour prior to my flight, yet this didn't do any good. Passenger screening took a ridiculous time as it was jammed with passengers yet to get through. The last gate was almost undoable, as I could barely walk. Delta ignored me because I said my destination was too important to miss flight, so they turned away from me. Not at all helpful.
I am not sure why I had to pay twice for baggage check too. But I did. Then all seats were taken and I was shuffled around 3 times until they found a seat in the back. No- I will not recommend Delta Airlines to anybody I care about. I certainly have learned a lesson in choosing a flight. By the way- I was treated as though I was trying to pull a false injury claim! How very insulting and you will see I was not even going to do that. I maybe should have filed a claim, because it still is hurting, and needs help too. But not my style to defraud anybody.
I just want to say that we, the customers or passengers pay dearly for your "reputable" name when traveling. I trusted you because of your name, yet, in the end what a horrible and almost mean service I received. Train the workers to let the passenger step out of the body scanners and not try to squeeze through first. People do matter, passengers too. Have some manners and compassion, sheesh, by now you should have it down. I am leaving a bitter review and hope it will open your eyes to better service. We pay for it!

After paying for an earlier flight from Houston to ATL I received notice at several points that the new flight was now delayed. I immediately logged into my Delta account and started a live chat with an agent. I first asked how to file for a refund now that the new flight that I paid a premium for would no longer get me into Atlanta in time for a prepaid meeting reservation I had. The online agent very clearly stated that I wasn't able to apply for a refund until the final leg of the flight had been taken. I confirmed with the rep from Delta that I must complete the full return flight and she stated, yes, once completed I could then apply for a refund for the sunk costs of the upgrade that turned out to not be an upgrade.
I filed for the refund after landing and then received multiple calls from additional Delta reps stating that I only qualified for a refund if I had NOT taken the final flight and cancelled it at the gate after confirming I would take the original return flight. I had plenty of time to do all of those steps had I been properly instructed, but because Delta purposefully pulled a bait and switch I didn't follow the prescribed protocol because I was outright misled by the online agent of the company. Delta routinely employs deceptive behavior to avoid having to pay out refunds. This activity is criminal.

You couldn’t pay me to fly Delta. The lie they use all the time is “there’s a slight delay due to minor mechanical issues”. They leave you sit on the plane for hours, then the next lie is “the crew timed out”. I’d hitchhike before getting on one of their planes.

My flight delayed and I had an event that I couldn’t attend. I hate that they are operating like a low end airline where I am assigned a seat after checking instead of having the choice. Then when I checked at the counter they only said I was assigned a seat and will be given when boarding in class 3. Too annoyed to answer I said ok. I was not amused after boarding and saw that I was assigned an aisle seat all the way 44 then to top it off near the smelly bathroom. Both of what I hate middle and aisle and the smell. Then when putting away my bag there was no space overhead. It went all the way somewhere in the middle. Then while putting my bag under the seat the were dirt and crumbs. The plane was dirty due to delay and no time to clean! I was exhausted by time I got in. Thank god he landed safe.

My connection coming into Atlanta was late taking off. Plane sat on runway for over 25 minutes. Didn’t make my connecting flight in Atlanta. The boarding door was closed early due to the flight being overbooked. Over 7 hours in Atlanta airport with no compensation not even a food voucher. Will never fly Delta again. I feel our flight should be refunded due to overbooking and my seat given to another passenger. Rude Delta employees!

I was mislead on the application of the Platinum American Express, Delta card in that they did not honor the 90,000 bonus miles that went with the account after spending the required minimum spending amount by 90 days' time frame. There was no communication regarding any restrictions or requirements at time of application plus not only will they not honor the 90,000 bonus miles but they are now charging an immediate $350 annual fee of which there also was no mention of at the time of application. There is no benefit whatsoever to the customer here, a complete rip off and fraud.

However she made it happened. She was so kind and to us. Delta need more people like her. All airlines need workers as she is.

I had a procedure done on my leg and needed to upgrade our seating arrangements so I could have more legroom flying to Hawaii. Because the reservation had gone through a third party, the third party wouldn't make any changes. When I called Delta Airlines directly and explained my situation, Jessica stayed on the phone with me for two hours trying to help resolve my situation. She was able to get our seats upgraded going to Hawaii. I appreciated her patience, understanding, and professionalism! There aren't enough words to express how positive this experience was for me! I will definitely recommend Delta Airlines as a carrier for flights. Thank you, Jessica! Thank you, Delta Airlines!

CHECK-IN WITH SHERRI AT THE DELTA COUNTER WAS HORRENDOUS AND TERRIBLE!! TLDR: Sherri (Delta Agent) created an issue out of thin air, showed no understanding or urgency to resolve our mismatched name issue. Took over 2 hours to resolve an issue that really is not an issue as we have flown the same flights with the same documents 6 months ago!!
I would like to preface that my husband and I are not traveling for leisure but have booked an emergent flight from Orlando to Ho Chi Minh City due to rapid health declining of my father and time is of the essence. We are also flying with German passports. My husband and I, arrived to MCO airport at 06:30 AM to check in for our flight to Ho Chi Minh City (MCO ATL ICN SGN). We allotted 3 hours for check-in/TSA screening. Shortly after Sherri reviewed our passports, reservation, and Vietnam visas, she alerted us that we will not be able to travel today due to mismatched names on the passport, reservation, and visa. We asked her to resolve and change the names on the reservation to reflect our passports in the most efficient way, as traveling today is of the utmost importance. Sherri did not show any understanding nor sign of urgency. She continued to say that we cannot travel today without attempting to resolve the mismatched name issue at hand.
She then suggested she will write an e-mail to her ICN correspondence as she is concerned, we cannot connect with these mismatched names from ICN to SGN. WHO WRITES AN EMAIL ABOUT AN URGENT MATTER?? She proceeded to write an email without any urgency. We continue to explain to her that time is of the essence. We also voiced our confusion as we have traveled to Vietnam via ICN airport with the EXACT SAME passport, green card, and visa in June 2023 with no issues. She dismissed our concerns. My husband placed my daughter on speaker phone to speak with Sherri, but Sherri said: "I don't know why I need to speak to your daughter, the problem will not change".
Reluctantly she agreed to speak to my daughter. Following reciting the problem to her once more, my daughter asked her: "You are saying 'they' are advising you to tell my parents that they cannot fly today, but who is 'they'?" to which Sherri had no answer but proceeded to hang up the call on my husband's phone. This is disrespectful and creating more confusion and frustration. It has been nearly 90 minutes now, and we began getting concerned of missing today's flight. We realized that with new regulations, German citizens with German passports do not require a visa to enter Vietnam for a stay of less than 45 consecutive days. Both mine and my husband's return flight back have been booked (12 day stay).
When presented this information to her, she dismissed us. She is telling us to standby and wait for her to work, though her "work" seemed questionable. She continuously had to call a supervisor (?) asking for guidance on how to process a name change on the reservation. We believe she should have handed off this case to another agent who is more familiar with processing these claims, as she kept prolonging the process. Finally after 150 minutes, she has successfully resolved our mismatched names and was ready to send us off but then she stepped away to tell another traveler next to us that needed to unwrap their luggage due to an old small sticker still being stuck on their luggage. Her co-worker who was working with that traveler said that it was fine, and unwrapping was not necessary. She insistent on having said traveler still unwrap their luggage.
We do not understand why she did not focus on us as we are severely late and still having to move through TSA, and is using our limited valuable time on an issue that could/should have been resolved by her co-worker. Once we received our boarding pass and passport back, we asked if we could have someone expedite our TSA security check as we are NOT late due to our own tardiness (recall: we arrived at the airport 3h 15min prior to departure), but due to issues at the check-in counter are now late. Sherri made no effort to help us and responded with "No, have a nice day". We then had to wait in line to get through TSA (we do not have TSA Pre-Check), followed by running to our gate to make it as the last passengers boarding our flight to ATL. Our experience with Sherri was nothing but negative and unpleasant.

I booked direct with Delta Airlines last year, 2023. The trip is for May, 2024. I splurged for my 77 year old husband (Bucket List, to Belize) A first class trip for 2, $3300.00 each. Crazy I know but at our age this could be our last. I have just learned that this fare will not allow using the Delta Lounge between flights. They're reasoning is they are trying to control numbers in their lounges. I never dreamed that paying for first class would put us in that category. I would like others to know this and not be as shocked I am.

I normally do not love writing reviews like this, but seeing as I tried to go the right route and use the Delta app to share my concerns and no one helped me after multiple attempts of complaining. Our flight changed gates 20 minutes before boarding, boarding was delayed, and they are giving zero apology or remorse around the situation. Atlanta airport sucks in the first place anyway because everyone is so rude and will literally berate you in the security line, but I thought at least the airline would care because they are literally getting our money and not providing 5 star customer service. The fact that the boarding and now flight is delayed is absolutely deltas fault in my opinion.
I’m also tired of giving reviews to airports that don’t care or listen and continue to be okay with having a 1 star rating, so maybe the airline can send the message better. Care about ALL your customers. Care about our time, money, and mental health. That’s not much to ask when you are a business that has been around for centuries.

This has been a long nightmare. I am a regular passenger, always traveling in first class. On 03/06/2023, I was returning from Lima to Atlanta, and as usual, I requested assistance with a wheelchair. A person from the Unifi company picked me up from the gate and dropped me off at the Delta Sky Club in Terminal E. However, upon being dropped off, I noticed that he took my carryon (a Tumi Carry-on worth approximately $6,500 in personal items).
I realized this three minutes after he left, so I immediately went to the counter at the club and asked for help. They attempted to contact the individual and the company but despite my 3-hours connection, they did absolutely nothing. They provided me with information to start a case, which I did with Delta’s lost and found (report #**) and I followed all their instructions. I’ve only received emails with apologies, and they haven't found my carry-on. Since I didn’t register my carry-on as it was a personal item, Delta says they are not responsible.
I’m very upset. Every time I have called, they have told me different things and said I needed to go to various places, but they have given me no concrete information. The last call I made, they said that Delta keeps lost and found items for 1 year, but today 02/20/2024, they said after 3 months Delta sent all lost and found items to Alabama. Delta’s training of their people is lacking, and I have confirmed that the “Unifi” works directly with Delta Airlines.
I am here at the airport again, trying to get help, but once more, people are just telling me different things. In the end, the only conclusion is the guy who picked me up from the gate on 03/06/2023 stole my carry-on with all my personal items, not just the expensive Items but also other important things that were significant to me. The staff at the delta club were so incompetent; they didn’t do anything to assist me beyond trying to calm me down and wait for my next flight. This is unacceptable. I am a 68 years old woman who always spends thousands of dollars to travel in first class for safety, and Delta employees have stolen my luggage, I am tired of emailing and opening cases; this is UNACCEPTABLE I'm a member of Delta Sky but the service and the people are horrible.

I don't fly much and I have flown AA, Delta, and Frontier. I preferred Delta. I recently took a trip with my children and was advised by the guy at the baggage desk that I would be refunded my baggage fees if I applied for the skymiles card. I don't need a skymiles card, I rarely fly. I also am aware that my credit is not great and to be honest I have enough credit cards I didn't want anymore, however, the employee Daniel ** at the desk in Miami assured me that he could take my 2 large bags that are $30/each and take the carry on that I had which would be an extra $30 to just be convenient as I had children with me. He wrote his email down and told me just send him the screenshot where I applied whether approved or not and he would remove my baggage fee. I did that and still have a $90.00 baggage fee.
I contacted customer service and talked to 3 employees and managers and was advised they would not make this right and refund me based of a misinformed employee... a Misinformed DELTA EMPLOYEE. This alone will be the reason I never fly with delta again. Sad because the flight itself was absolutely great! Delta needs to hire better customer service employees!
