Paris to SeaTac 4/12/2026 flight 81 The flight was full of sick passengers so I was using the forward lavatory during the entire flight. On the third attempt to use the lavatory there were several flight attendants in the galley area getting prepared to do drink service. I had to navigate through the galley and as I approached and was inn reach of the lavatory door there was an attendant partially blocking the entrance. I said excuse me as I partially pushed open the lavatory door and the attendant did not move so I attempted to squeeze in between her and her drink cart. Another flight attendant told me to go use another lavatory in the back of the plane and I told her that I’m not going back there because of how sick the passengers were. I returned to my seat and held in my urine.
Suddenly the supervisor of attendants came to my assigned seat accusing me of pushing one of the flight attendants and proclaiming she had two delta flight attendants as a witness to this fabrication of the event at the lavatory. What was in fact a cockblocking of a seventy year old male to use a public lavatory on a Delta flight was now being proposed as an assault on a flight attendant. I was met at the gate at SeaTac by government authorities and ask for my explanation of the incident! My advice to older male delta passengers is to take your phone with the video on while trying to get into the lavatory on any passenger flight in the world from now on! NO MORE DELTA AIRLINES FOR ME! Thank you!

Delta delayed our flight to Italy, our flight was delayed directly into Atalanta, they closed the doors on us exactly at 10 minutes to the fly departure, the pilot said they know our connecting flight is late and the connection will wait for us so we ran through the atlanta terminal and they closed the doors right in our face, a family of five with kids had to stay in the airport for 7 More hours for another flight to London, then Paris, then Milan, with a 8 hour layover in London, we will never fly delta again, at least AA airlines waited for us last time they were late.

When I am booking my seats I intentionally book seats in what appears to be an exit row or a row behind a bulkhead to avoid people sitting in front of me. The Delta booking application is a shot show because it depicts a hypothetical aircraft and does not represent the aircraft that you will actually board. Someone needs to be fired for this crap. If I am Gold Member and I book a seat that indicates no one is in front of me then I expect to board a plane and sit in that exact seat. I may be transferring to United or American because Delta has forgot that they have survived because of their customer satisfaction. Any monkey can fly a route on autopilot.

Bought very expensive 1st class tickets for me, wife, and 89 yo mother-in-law. A ‘final visit’ to her happy place of Palm Springs. MIL got sick + heavy pollen so we had to leave 2 days early. Marriott and Hertz both understood and while they could have charged us for the extra 2 days, were gracious and do not. Delta, however, treated the situation like an upsell opportunity and charged us an extra $650. After we had already paid them ~$2700/ticket (so $8,100) they thought it appropriate to charge us $650 each on top because a little old lady got sick and had to fly home. She had spent 3 of the 5 days we were in Palm Springs in bed. The other 2 days were travel days.
Mind you I’m a Million Miler on Delta, and they always thank me for my “loyalty”. But given this extremely low bar for them to meet to show a smidgen of loyalty back, they declined. Pretty amazing, actually. We’re flying at least 7-8 more times this year, including Europe, most likely 1st class. We have flown a couple times already this year and have a flight booked to LAX (we live in Atlanta) but that will be the last Delta flight this year. I’m going to see how flight life is with Jet Blue, United, and American. Maybe Southwest. We could have saved $3k on the Palm Springs tickets by flying United to LAX but we decided to take Delta because we’re so used to them. Screw that. Loyalty goes both ways and Delta has none, so why should I? It’s going to cost them so much more than $1300.

I booked a flight with Delta for myself and my daughter. It wasn’t cheap. They put us on the smallest stuffiest plane with tiny windows instead of a decent size plane. They did not disclose that to me beforehand. I can’t be on a small plane like that. They then told me to go get anxiety medication or something like it was my fault instead of the fact they putting people on tiny planes without telling people. They also didn’t charge me a smaller plane price. They will then refuse to give you a refund just a credit. Unbelievable. Terrible Customer service as well and very unhelpful. I do not recommend this company! Horrible experience!!!

Canceled flight from MKE to DTW. Missing connection 6 hr layover To Washington DC. Reporting to check in at 5 am. Left after 9 am. This seems to only getting worse. Delayed from Santa Barbara last month. They seem so disorganized with gate agents to CSR. Been a loyal platinum member. Sky Club service in small airports are terrible. Foods not worth the price of membership from Amex. The big airports may have choices, but are so overbooked and if you have a tight connection not worth the stress. Delta has also reduced its connection times giving you a running wind sprints to make a connection. Sadly my wife was a former Western Airlines employee and service was impeccable in the 80s!

My new blue softside suitcase was all filthy and stained when I landed a few weeks ago in Fort Myers. It was the first time I used it. I never saw anything like it, how dirty it was. It was all over every side. I wanted to go to the counter to complain, but our driver was waiting and I didn't have time. I was very upset about it.

Delta Airlines was honestly one of the worst experiences I’ve had flying. The staff came off rude and completely uninterested in helping with even basic questions. Instead of trying to resolve issues, they just brushed things off and made it feel like you were bothering them for asking. For an airline that’s supposed to be top-tier, the customer service was a joke. If something goes wrong, don’t expect much support. Definitely not what you’d hope for when traveling.

Our flight from Miami to New York (JFK) was scheduled for 7:40 AM but ended up departing at 3:00 PM due to a pilot issue, as no replacement could be found. While delays can happen, this situation was extremely frustrating and poorly managed. We essentially lost an entire day of our trip. On top of that, for a delay of this length, passengers would normally expect to receive a lunch voucher. However, when we asked about it, they were told that the pilot’s illness was due to frequent travel caused by recent adverse weather conditions in NYC. Therefore, they classified the delay as a “weather-related issue” and said they do not provide vouchers in such cases. Honestly, this was one of the most absurd explanations I’ve ever heard. It felt like Delta was treating us as if we were five-year-olds. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience and far below expectations.

Terrible customer service. Even though I love the product they have, the customer service is not customer first. After making a change to a flight segment, it has a negative change on a different flight segment. When contacted customer service over this, the supervisor said it was all my fault even after saying that an assigned seat on a non changed flight segment should not have been downgraded. The lady, Denise, was very short with me and wanted to just blame me instead of trying to resolve the issue. Customer service like this really makes me want to ditch Delta and go to the other carriers out there who have much better customer service representatives who are respectful to their customers.

Long time Delta sky miles credit card holder but disappointed that Delta flights all connect thru Atlanta and it is rare to find a direct flight from FLL or PBI to many locations. Think it's time to change to a new Card with another airline.

Delta provided me with by far the worst airport experience I've ever had. They delayed my flight 5 times across 5 hours with no update or explanation. After 5 HOURS of delays, the pilot came out to the front desk of the terminal, threw her hands in the air and said her shift was over so good luck. Five minutes later, the totally unhelpful front desk guy came over the intercom and canceled the flight around 10:30 PM. I had to get a TWO HUNDRED DOLLAR Uber to get home at 12:30 AM after having traveled for 11 hours, getting NOWHERE, AND missing my cousin's wedding. I submitted my Uber ride to Delta for reimbursement which they predictably denied because the customer is the last of their concern. I will never, ever, EVER touch a Delta flight again with a million foot pole. I will trash Delta in conversation whenever air travel comes up. I will never forget how poorly Delta treated me on this day.

Worst flight experience ever, and my last flight with Delta was already pretty horrible. Yesterday morning's flight cancelled due to 'weather' and lack of staffing. No bad weather ANYWHERE near either airport today, but my rebooked 12:30 flight was also rebooked to 4:30 pm, and now says it is also delayed. I waited 2.5 hours on the phone, got someone who was useless, waited another 30 minutes for a supervisor, who literally offered me thoughts and prayers, AND got kicked off the chat 3x because it timed out. Finally got someone whose best 'advice' was that I could get a refund if I cancelled. I am trying to get to Atlanta to support my elderly mother through a major surgery. I thought 2 extra DAYS would be sufficient. Now she may face this serious surgery ALONE. I've been a Delta SkyMiles Premier member and Platinum cardholder for decades. I literally just cut my card into itty bitty pieces and cancelled.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience. I specifically paid for assigned seats so I could sit with my daughter and grandson during our flight. As someone who uses a wheelchair and has difficulty walking and standing for extended periods, being seated with my family is not just a preference, it is a necessity for my safety and comfort. Despite this, my seat was given away without my consent, and I was separated from my family. This created unnecessary stress and hardship, particularly given my mobility limitations.
What makes this situation worse is the complete lack of accountability afterward, no meaningful assistance and no reimbursement for the seat I paid for but did not receive. This is not just an inconvenience; it’s a failure to honor a paid service and a basic expectation of customer care. Traveling with family is important, but for me it is also essential support. Your handling of this situation showed a clear disregard for both customer service and accessibility needs. I paid for a service that was not delivered, and the lack of resolution is unacceptable. I expect better from an airline of this reputation. This experience has seriously impacted my trust in your company, and I will be reconsidering future travel plans accordingly.

After wasting my time for 6 hours I tried to book a rental car and just drive home. But it was too late. All rental cars booked. After dealing with many rude employees and explaining to them they have literally stranded me. They changed me on a 3 am flight. Now I’m waiting praying they won’t cancel this flight. The most unorganized worse experience I’ve ever had with an airline been at airport for over 15 hours. I will never fly Delta again.

3 hours and still waiting for checked baggage on flight that was cancelled. Not blaming them for the weather but holding checked baggage for an excessive period of time is outrageous. Have seen unloading of 3 inbound flights already long after the flight has been cancelled hours ago. This is ridiculous - there should be a standard that bags that are checked are retrievable within a reasonable window of time. I won’t be flying Delta again anytime soon. Weather disruptions happen - choosing to not respond properly on something that is well within Delta’s control like return of baggage is unacceptable behavior.

Very disappointed with Delta Customer Service. My flight was cancelled by Delta on March 13th due to weather concerns. I was traveling from ATL to MLI. I completely agree with putting safety first. What I disagree with is the difficulty and cost of rescheduling another flight. First, I could not reach Delta by phone, so I opted for chat/messaging. I waited for 3 hours before reaching a representative on chat. The bottom line is that I had to pay an additional fee to change my travel dates even though my flight was for the same cities at the same departure and arrival times.
The updated flight was within 2 weeks of the cancelled flight. Delta should not be allowed to profit from forced cancellations. The Delta representative, Andrea, had the ability to waive to change fee but she would not. I explained that I could change my updated flight to a different date if that would eliminate paying a change fee but she stated that I would have to pay a fee no matter what I did.

Recently flew from SD to Hartford. I especially looked for flights under 8 hours and paid Delta to deliver. Nothing of the sort happened. First they left SD late, god knows why. Perfect weather, no traffic on tarmac, they just did. We landed in ATL with slip but it looked like we may still be able make a connecting flight to BDL. Instead we stood there, waiting for everyone and their mother to deplane for about 12 minutes, and the crew never even thought about making a courtesy announcements to let those of us who have a tight connection off the plane first.
Once deplaned, few of us ran to the departing flight gate thinking that we will make it, but no, they decided to close the gate 4 minutes early as if not to accept us since they seem to have rebooked us before we even landed for a later flight. We'll, that 7 hour flight took 10+ hours. They refunded me $75 of some nonsense monopoly money credit. On the way back, the BDL flight got delayed 1.5 hours so naturally delta rebooked my Detroit to SD connection for a flight at 9 pm out of Detroit. That now took the 8 hour flight to 10 hours. Now that I landed in Detroit, my flight to SD is delayed another hour extending my excruciating experience with delta to 12 hours. 12 hour flights have three layovers and are hundreds of $$$ cheaper. Never again. I don't even care to cash out the limited use $75 worth of delta tokens they gave me for my troubles so far. Never has any airline managed to screw up all 4 legs of my flight like this, ever.

THEN the next flight to leave MONDAY. Only compensation was a $12 voucher!! (I’m curbing my language). This is ridiculous. They are charging (in my case) $500+ to fly then delaying DAYS off trips because of internal issues! They want their money upfront but delay service due to their inefficiency! If I could give Delta negative stars, I would go below 0. As someone who is married to a frequent flyer, I am disappointed and never will give them another dime of my money or my husband's, and after this he will never use them for another business trip again. After delaying the flight several hours, they decided to deboard 5 people off the plane. Delta said "the plane is too heavy" and the delay CONTINUES-but wait, then they REBOARD the same 5 people after delaying the flight for 3 hours. No communication. No actual valid reason to delay the flight, weather across the whole eastern USA was completely clear.
DELTA unsafely allowed too many people to purchase tickets and board the flight because they want to make all the money they can off of us, then decide the lives on the plane aren't worth it but they want their money, causing MANY passengers to miss their connecting flights and giving them NO time to reschedule. No compensation, refund, or communication was offered the entire experience.
Safe to say Delta is now at the very bottom of my list and I will never use them again. I really hope other people see this and see how horrible airlines have become, it used to be that they tried to be the best for their customers because they HAD to be to get business- Now, they want to shove us on the planes like sardines, charge $800 a ticket, take up an entire day of our lives that we will never get back, and put lives in jeopardy. Great job, you and Spirit may as well be the same. Was traveling from West Palm Beach (PBI) to Pensacola (PNS) with a connector to Atlanta (ATL). Connector was extremely short (40m) and if you know ATL and how big it is, it is critical to be on time to make your flight. Due to not have wheelchairs ready for arriving plane, we were not boarding 25 minutes after scheduled. Talked to "Carey" at gate and she assured me that if I missed DL2233 at 6:30 PM, I had a seat assigned DL3086 at 11PM, the next available flight.
We sat on the tarmac for 15+ minutes and did not take off until an hour later than scheduled arriving at 6:05 (gate closed at 6:15). I didn't even make it off the plane before the gate was closed, and would have had to run from D12 to B10. This is includes a TRAM RIDE for those who don't know how big ATL is. During the flight I asked the attendant to let the gate know we would be running and if they could see about a few minutes delay. "That is no longer company policy".
Of course, missing my flight I go to the help center near B19. I'm not I was NOT put on the flight and there are no more seats but will be on standby. Again 7PM and will wait to depart at 11PM. Maybe. I ask for a seat assignment or something concrete. Told to call using phones nearby. First lady, Jade says she can get an assigned seat, but needs me to hold for escalation. Sure, I have four hours. Eventually the line disconnects (15m). I call back. This lady says, there are seats, please hold. Calls back, actually there are no seats. Can I transfer to one of the other two airlines flight back to PNS at 11PM? She hangs up.
Go back to the help desk. They (1) can't escalate to get a seat, (2) won't transfer to another airline, (3) NEVER ONCE OFFERED A REFUND. When I explicitly asked if I could just drive the 4.5 hours home (you know, the time I would wait to see IF I would get a seat), I was told I'd have to pay for it myself due to "liability issues". What? Just put my card on file for late returns and damages?
I wait for 4 hours. Told I am FIRST for a seat. Monitor shows a seat available. Helpful traveler shows me the app. Explains they tell you that, but always give preference to employees or special customers. Did not make the flight. 11:30 pm, go back to the help desk. Am offered one meal voucher (already delayed from my final destination by 5 hours) and hotel. Due to walking to shuttle and checking in, (there were over a hundred other people where I was at 11:45 PM trying to get to hotels from delays, btw) I did not get a room until 12:30 PM.
At 5 AM, trying to get back, was told to have hotel desk agent call for shuttle. He stated it was not his job. Four of us watched the shuttle go across the street but not come by. 5:20 I message a help desk (see photos). Two of these people had 7:30 flights. While the shuttle eventually came, we had no ways of getting updates.
One man, from Nigeria, was told by a gate agent to go the the same hotel as I and several others. That hotels wasn't even an OPTION for him, and he certainly wasn't checked in. We had to help him get a hotel and he had to order an Uber (12:15 AM) to get to the right hotel. Every Delta employee I worked with during this experience was dismissive, condescending, or annoyed I was even asking questions. When I asked for printed boarding passes or seat confirmations I got rolled eyes and sighs. How dare I be upset I'm going to arriving 14+ hours later than planned? Why do you need a print, just trust us, like the gate agent in PBI that promised a reserved seat on the next flight!
If everything go perfectly, you show up hours early, run to your gates, give them lots of money and THEY don't have any delays, you could be fooled into thinking Delta is a good airline. I have flown well over 30 times in the past 10 years for work, almost always Delta. My opinion is forever changed and I will do whatever I can to NEVER step foot in the Atlanta International Airport again.

To get to Phoenix and not miss work, I had to book on another airline (direct flight). I am out over $550 because Delta is unable to consider reimbursement for intangibles, such as other airline tickets; however they could not guarantee when I could make it home. $550 is a lot of groceries that will not be on my family's table for the next month.

Trusted Delta to transport two of my baby birds as live cargo. What happened instead was devastating. The shipment was lost due to Delta’s mishandling. One of my birds died. The other survived but now has permanent health issues and will require ongoing medical care for the rest of its life. So far, this has cost me over $5,000 in veterinary bills, and that number will continue to grow. These were not just “cargo.” They were living animals that depended entirely on proper handling. When you offer live animal transport, you take on the responsibility to ensure their safety. In my case, that responsibility was completely failed.
What adds to the frustration is the complete lack of accountability. After repeated attempts to resolve this, Delta has stopped responding to me. No resolution. No compensation. Flight DL5021 from Huntsville, AL to Detroit, MI was the first flight and last flight that had a perfect landing. No sudden jolts, no throwing bodies around, in fact we didn't know if we had really landed. We had a young female pilot who not only knew how to fly a plane, but how to land one. As she was departing the plane to catch her next assigned flight, I heard another couple letting her know how excellent the take-off and landing had been on their flight journey. They were hoping that she was piloting their next leg of the trip. She thanked them but had to tell them unfortunately she would not be flying the plane on the next part of their trip. I did not get the pilot's name, but she should be training other pilots on how to develop good customer relations by teaching other pilots how to land a plane.

The experience with Delta Airlines was horrible. Two of my luggage items were separated from my flight, which I was not aware. They promise to deliver the two items the following day. Worst of all, they deliver it one at a time on different days. At one point, the driver came to my place and told us he didn't have the luggage, so I called the supervisor because he had forgotten to bring it. This is the inefficiency and the poor service that DELTA AIRLINES provides.

I called the airlines directly and the booking agent basically told me that the website with the prices is not always updated! (What I call bait and switch). I have been flying my whole life (I'm 82) and this has never happened before. The website would not take my credit card until the "new" price was reached. The Delta website played annoying music about waiting on the internet all day which was annoying and insulting as though my time and airline ticket price meant nothing to them.

I contacted 1-888-740-9442 at 2:29pm and 4:49pm and spoke with 'Darian'. I asked for help locating my Sky Miles account since I am flying Delta next week and couldn't locate it. He falsely claimed he found my account and sent me the account #. I later learned he started a new account for me. I will lose my old miles if I start over on a new account. SECONDLY and far more FRAUDULENT he asked me if I knew that the 2 tickets I'd purchased were only going to get me on the plane if 2 other people volunteered to give up their seats. I stated that I had not been made aware of this before purchasing the tickets for over $1k. I explained the tickets were so we could go meet our new daughter we are adopting and I couldn't miss this flight. He claimed I must pay another $349 because my tickets were not confirmed and that there were NO seats for us at the price I'd paid! (after he claimed he spoke with his 'team').
I stated I wasn't going to pay another $349 on 2 tickets I already paid for 2/2/26, just so that I could use them. He argued that it was Expedia's fault for selling us useless tickets but there were seats available for $349 more! I said I won't pay and asked for his boss. He said "Oliver" couldn't speak with me. When I contacted Expedia they told me that the tickets were actually confirmed 2/2/26. Darian attempted to fraudulently get me to pay him $349 more claiming it was the way that my husband and I could make it to see our daughter we are adopting for the first time . He wasted hours of my time as I contacted Delta, Expedia, and Sky Miles trying to figure out why my tickets were non-usable unless I paid $349 more.

I have always chose Delta for any time I had to travel. This last experience has changed my mind and they are now my last choice. My flight was delayed multiple times. The delay was due to Delta not having properly trained pilots ready. They flew them in on another scheduled flight that was more than two hours behind my own. That flight ended up landing, reboarding and taking off before we even boarded.
Then once we boarded and started leaving the terminal the new pilots identified the plane wasn't properly de-iced. Which caused another delay and then a missed connection flight. Delta was initially understanding and provided a room and meal vouchers. However when it came to seating on my next flight I was crammed into the back of the plane. Now I had paid for seat choice without a choice and I was told that was all they had available. That was a lie as they still had upgraded seats available.
I have contacted customer service multiple times and was informed my only option was to file a complaint. That complaint was answered with lies by Delta blaming the weather and a measly sorry for the inconvenience. I will be flying American from now on. They have more affordable upgrade options, better customer service and they haven't lied to me.

Delta offered a few thousand miles as compensation and I declined as I would never have purchased that incredibly uncomfortable seat. This is a bait & switch practice that Delta should be shared of, and every passenger should be aware of.

I traveled with Delta on January 5th from Orlando to San Luis Potosí with a connection in Atlanta. Unfortunately, the Orlando flight was delayed, which caused us to miss our connecting flight. While disruptions can happen, the way Delta handled the situation was disappointing. Delta rebooked us on a route to San Luis Potosí via Mexico City — a significantly longer and illogical itinerary that required flying further away only to come back again. We ultimately had to change this ourselves to secure a direct flight, adding more inconvenience to an already frustrating experience.
The customer service from Delta staff was particularly poor. On board the Orlando–Atlanta flight, we politely asked for assistance to deplane earlier due to our tight connection. We were told that this was not possible because most passengers also had connections. When we finally managed to exit the plane, we ran to our gate in Atlanta, only to find that boarding was nearly closed. While Delta allowed a passenger in a wheelchair to board, they refused to let us through, despite us being right there in time. No explanation was provided, and the Delta representative simply stopped engaging with us altogether.
As a result of Delta’s delays and lack of support, we incurred unexpected expenses, including a hotel stay, meals, toiletries, and a change of clothes — costs we had not planned for. Overall, while flight delays can occur, the lack of empathy, communication, and reasonable rebooking options made this a very frustrating experience with Delta.

Worst flying experience of my life with over 50 years of flying. Flying from JFK to SAT, first flight of the day, scheduled to take off at 6:55 am. Started with a 20 minute walk, literally, to the gate from security, with the help of motorized walkways. Then after an hour delay for crew rest we boarded in zone 4 to a ridiculous display of how not to stow carry ons in the overhead bins. The forward bins were all closed so people had to put bags in the back of the plane even though their seats were in the front.
Then after about 30 minutes of sitting after the plane was completely boarded the captain came on and said there was a mechanical issue with the water lines that was being addressed and should take about 15 minutes. 30 minutes later we were told that we have to deplane while they fix the problem. People in the front of the plane had to wait because their bags were in the back. Initially told we’d have an hour delay. An hour turned into 2 then 3 then eventually 8 and then back into 7, all in slow agonizing notifications every hour. No meal vouchers were offered, no explanations, no announcements. Will never willfully fly Delta again.

A miracle happens at Christmas and we find rooms before 300 other stranded travelers take them. We have shelter and the promise of reimbursement from DELTA.
All great until it is time for DELTA to pay. They refuse. Blame air traffic control and say it is not their responsibility to pay even though they were trying to book the hotel for me and were the ones instructing me how to find my own hotel and how to collect receipts and submit for reimbursement. Either they are all incompetent or poorly trained at the airport, or the claims department is horrible and rejects valid claims to hurt people who can't really afford to just waste a few thousand dollars on a hotel that they never would have booked if not for DELTA instructing them to. Either way it is wonderful to see how DELTA treats their SkyMiles members and how they don't care about us when it comes to money they will do whatever they can to keep it. Since I am about 370 MQDs short of the next tier, I elected to purchase MQDs which is part of the Delta program. For some reason they can only process increments of 100 dollars ??? and when I tried to purchase $400 worth - the cost was listed as $1200. This is extraordinarily frustrating and disingenuous.
Given the lousy plane interiors, the improved competition, and the seemingly deceptive and overpriced loyalty program - I don't think there is any real value in flying delta exclusively anymore. I have not received an upgrade as a gold tier member in years and I rarely board early, between military, diamond, platinum, wheelchairs, kids, folks who need more help, etc. I simply don't know why I go out of my way to support delta when the loyalty program offers so little. My experience with Delta Air Lines was extremely disappointing from start to finish. The flight was delayed, and despite booking seats together, we were separated because the flight was overbooked. (They didn't assign seats and keep us till the end with the info if they find volunteer to let us in.) This already showed poor planning and a lack of respect for passengers. The onboard service was weak and well below the standard expected from international airline. The situation became even worse after arrival, when our checked baggage did not arrive. Communication was unclear, and no effective assistance was provided. 24hrs and we still waiting.
What is most frustrating is Delta’s approach to complaints. The complaint process was fast but unhelpful, responses were generic, and there was a clear lack of responsibility for the problems caused. Eventually, we had no option but to return home by Uber at our own expense.
Additionally, the airport staff were unprofessional and unable to provide clear assistance. For every basic question they had to make phone calls, acting only as intermediaries without authority to resolve the situation. After many hours, we were simply told that there were “no flights” available.
The cancellation process itself took approximately five hours to complete, creating unnecessary stress and hardship, especially while traveling with a minor child. My family and I were scheduled to fly Saturday, November 29 on Delta #1018 from Fort Lauderdale to Raleigh. Shortly before our boarding time, Ms. ** announced that there was a mechanical problem with the plane. The departure time was pushed back from 3:00pm several times. Ms. ** apologized to the 130 passengers and continued to give us updates on the status of the repairs.
In the meantime, she provided water and snacks for those of us who waited for the plane to be repaired. She efficiently made alternative arrangements to get people to Raleigh. Passengers who might otherwise have been angry with her because of the multiple delays, were calling her Katy and were patiently waiting in line to ask her questions and to be re-routed. Katy also handed out meal and hotel vouchers to the shrinking group of passengers still waiting at the gate. Katy cheered with us when our remaining contingent of 30 passengers finally boarded a substitute plane at 10:30pm. I learned during this process that Katy had been on duty at the airport since 5:00am that morning. Yet throughout the process, she was friendly, patient and professional until our departure 17 hours after she began her day. She is an outstanding Delta representative.

I am documenting my experience with Delta Air Lines to warn consumers of the severe risks associated with flying with this carrier, particularly for individuals with disabilities or medical conditions. My ordeal on November 25, 2025, on Flight DL1085 from LaGuardia to Fort Lauderdale, represents a catastrophic failure at every level of Delta's operation, resulting in significant physical injury and the creation of a life-threatening situation.
The Incident: A Predetermined Discrimination. The event began with Delta's operational failure, providing conflicting information about a delay. The true failure, however, was the conduct of the crew. A lead flight attendant confronted me at my seat at the back of the plane, not the door of the gate (Janet failed on that) or upon boarding the plane, about a 5oz to-go cup of wine. Upon consuming it to avoid waste, she immediately and falsely accused me of being intoxicated. This was a discriminatory act; she was misinterpreting the visible symptoms of my multiple chronic disabilities (Rheumatoid Arthritis, POTS, Endometriosis, herniated discs) as misconduct.
The Cover-Up: Deliberate Avoidance of Accountability. When I asked for her name to report this discrimination, the flight attendant deliberately concealed her name tag. Her name began with "Iz". A fellow crew member named Shipon claimed he "did not know her name," indicating a culture of collusion. This conscious effort to operate anonymously is a severe breach of professional and security standards.
The Consequences: Severe Physical Harm and Medical Negligence. Delta then stranded my mother and me for eight hours following the illegal removal. The consequences were dire:
Physical Injury: The stress and inability to rest or access my medication triggered a debilitating arthritis flare. I have been left unable to walk without a severe limp and excruciating pain in my ankles and feet, requiring intensive and costly therapeutic intervention.Life-Threatening Negligence: The prolonged delay caused my mother, a severe asthmatic, to exhaust her emergency inhaler. Delta's actions created a situation where a passenger was deprived of life-saving medication, constituting gross negligence.
The Pattern: A Systemic Failure. This is not an isolated incident but a pattern. At the baggage service office in Fort Lauderdale, another Delta agent wore her name tag upside down and refused to identify herself while blaming us for a baggage tag a Delta employee had removed. Her name began with an "R".
Conclusion and Actions Taken. Delta Air Lines demonstrated a complete disregard for passenger safety, dignity, and well-being. Their actions resulted in tangible physical harm and exposed us to unacceptable risk. I have filed formal complaints with the Department of Transportation (DOT) for disability discrimination and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for security breaches related to the unidentifiable crew. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Delta Air Lines to any consumer. The potential for life-altering harm is simply too great.
Bottom Line: I would not recommend this company to a friend.
Primary Reason for Filing Report: Safety Concerns / Physical HarmSecondary Reason: Discrimination

But, the ticketing agent, Mildred she got on her walkie talkie and called the flight agent, and she came around the front desk and said, "We're going to do everything to get you on that flight," and she pushed me to security, where the clerk was standing at the end of security with the tabs for my bag. We got to the boarding area, and they printed my boarding passes, as I had a layover in Atlanta. This beautiful angel and the Delta staff made all of this happen. Delta Couldn't Care Less. I traveled starting 9/23/25, ending 10/1. I purchased a flight to leave at 2:20. It was almost 6 pm before I got in the air, to go to a different connecting city of Atlanta. At the advertised time of the next take off, the plane hadn't arrived and had to be cleaned. I arrived at my destination 5.5 hours late, meaning Delta stretched it out as long as they could without hitting the 6 hour threshold for a refund. The departing flight left 2 hours later, so I didn't have time for my international TSA interview.
I had to cuss out TSA because it took this person 20 minutes to scan my passport, then run through the airport like OJ, I barely made the only on time departure. I missed traveling with my group from NY to Milan. I missed the first excursion. For all the anxiety and foolishness that went on, Delta thought they were doing me a favor and gave me 5000 miles. I asked what did they think I could do with 5000 to make up for the miserable experience. They added 2500. I wouldn't let Delta fly flea powder for my dog. To make matters worse, Delta’s website literally won’t let me file a claim. Every time I try to submit it, the page just reloads itself. I’ve tried over ten times now. It feels like the system is built to wear people down so they just give up. I just want someone to help me with this and take accountability. When initially purchasing a Delta seat, upgrading to First Class is usually quite expensive. Therefore it is rare that they sell out their first class seats initially. When Delta doesn’t sell all those first class seats early on (typical), Delta will do a “reverse auction” by continually lowering the price of those first class seats, until all the seats are sold. Usually at rock bottom prices. But Delta doesn’t want their best customers/Diamond Medallion to see how cheaply they are selling those seats to random customers, so they block us (Diamond Medallion/Loyal customers) from being able to upgrade to First for a fee. On the app, all those first class seats are just X’ed out and unavailable to us!!
So next time all you Diamond Medallion customers are sitting in Comfort Plus, and wondering who paid those huge prices to get into first class, please know that those are mostly non-loyal customers that bought the seat very inexpensively!! And those inexpensive seats were never made available to you, Delta‘s best customers! Delta does not take care of the best customers. If I was more motivated, I would post about this a lot. I will start now. I’ve already started flying other airlines.

Dear Delta Air Lines Customer Relations Team, I am writing to formally report an unpleasant experience I had on Flight DL5293 from JFK to Charleston, SC today 10/4/2025. The flight departed from Terminal 4, Gate 10, and I was assigned Seat 9C.
During the boarding process, a flight attendant (Linda) with ** nationality was speaking with two passengers seated in 9A and 9B. As I approached my seat to store my luggage and settle in, she looked at me and, through her body language, signaled for me to wait because she was talking. I had no issue with that and waited patiently. A moment later, she told me I could proceed to my seat. However, what followed was entirely unexpected and unacceptable. Without any provocation, she began speaking to me in a threatening manner, saying words to the effect of, “If you’re going to say something, I’ll make sure you’re put on another flight.” This exchange occurred in front of other passengers and was both humiliating and intimidating.
As a frequent Delta customer who regularly flies between Charleston and JFK, I have always appreciated Delta’s professionalism and customer service. Unfortunately, this incident was a serious departure from those standards. In my view, this flight attendant’s behavior was rude, unprofessional, and unrepresentative of Delta’s brand values. I kindly request that Delta management review this matter and take appropriate action to ensure that no other customer has a similar experience. Flight attendants represent the face of the airline, and passengers deserve to be treated with courtesy and respect at all times. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your response.

Very disappointed. Our flight from ATL to AMS was delayed several times. A seat upgrade was paid for and never received. Went to desk to inquire about delays after waiting in line for 40 minutes, I got nowhere. After multiple other calls to ensure I would be able to catch my cruise ship, I returned to the Delta counter and waited another 40 minutes, had to be rerouted through a different airline and city, Delta delayed my luggage for 3 days - NO CLOTHES - and did not refund any of our fees.

Everybody showed up. After four hours of trying to get onto a flight we finally got a flight into Phoenix and had to rent a car and drive back to Tucson. I put in a claim to Delta to have them reimburse me for the rental car and gas, and went back-and-forth with them many many times, and they just kept saying that they would not reimburse, but they eere sorry LOL. On that day, my flight to New York was unexpectedly rerouted to Boston, while my final destination was Panama City Beach, FL. I was returning from an exhausting vacation, and all I wanted was to get home safely and as quickly as possible.

Thanks to her dedication and persistence, she was able to get me on a flight that brought me home quickly and safely.

Worse communications and customer service than any other airlines. I rather use Spirit or Frontier than Delta. I was in a flight from MN to Boston, I was delayed more than 3 hours, no communication just left on the air. In the same trip, change my flight to a new time due to business reasons and the airline charge my credit card but didn’t book my flight change. I had a horrible customer experience to get through security due to this airline been sooo bad and then got to the counter just to tell me that the seat that had been assigned to me was no longer available but they had the audacity to fly a flight attendant and pay 2 people over 809 each and left me hanging again.
Changed me to a 3pm flight to a different airport which Lyft cost me over $120 more than my regular cost from EWR. Airline customer service is giving me $100, haven’t seen my refund for the ticket that didn’t get issued and now I’m seeing a new charge of $49 dollars on my credit card. What is wrong with you Delta??? To close, you made me lose a deal where I easily lost $20k. But again you Delta just don’t care.

I just had one of the worst booking experiences with Delta Airlines. The ticket price increased by over $500 while I was in the process of paying. When I called customer service, one agent told me I could use miles, e-certificates, and a gift card to help cover the cost, but when I was transferred to another agent to finalize the booking, I was told that wasn’t possible.
Meanwhile, a family member tried booking the same trip on Delta’s website. She initially saw a lower price than what I was quoted, but the moment she tried to purchase, the price jumped by $400. When she adjusted her travel dates, it shot up even more—an additional $600 from the original listed fare. These bait-and-switch tactics are unbelievable, and I honestly don’t know how Delta can get away with it. In the end, I went to Allegiant and booked the same itinerary in under five minutes for just **$187 total—including a bag—**with upfront, honest pricing and a nonstop flight. No games, no frustration, just simple and fair. Delta has lost my business, and Allegiant just gained a loyal customer.

I’ve flown with Delta several times, and one of the most frustrating aspects of the experience is their customer service phone support. No matter the day of the week or the hour you call, the wait times are consistently long. It often feels like you’re stuck on hold indefinitely, with no clear sense of when, or if, you’ll actually be able to speak to someone. For travelers dealing with urgent issues like flight changes, cancellations, or lost baggage, this lack of timely support creates unnecessary stress.
Air travel can already be stressful, and reliable customer service should ease that burden, not make it worse. Unfortunately, Delta’s phone support doesn’t meet that standard. I’ve tried at various times—early mornings, late evenings, even midday—and the result is always the same: extremely long holds with minimal updates. In today’s competitive airline industry, I believe customers deserve quicker, more responsive service.

If I could rate Delta customer service negatively, I would. Horrendous service. I made multiple attempts today to book roundtrip tickets for Delta flights from Seattle to London for November 7-29. I have been tracking Deltas prices all week, using miles, and the price has consistently, but not always, been approximately 72,000 miles and $217 per ticket (Main Classic). This morning the price was advertised at 48,000 miles and $217 per ticket. As a result, I immediately transferred 100,000 AmEx points to my Skymiles account. Once the transfer was confirmed, I then, on three separate occasions, completed the transaction, including seat selection, on the website up to the point of payment. Each time I received a message back to try again later.
When I called Delta customer service, I was told that the price is now 72,000 plus $217 per ticket. When I explained to customer service what had happened, they could not have been less interested in checking Delta's records to see what had been on their website or remedying the problem - I was simply told to pay 72,000 miles per ticket. I don't have 144,000 Skymiles, which is why I took advantage of the 48,000-mile advertised rate that was on the website today. I am happy to book my tickets with a different airline, but I will be out 100,000 AmEx points, which I transferred solely based on the information on the Delta website multiple times. This is purer "bait and switch" and extremely unfair.

What followed was over 24 hours of being passed around, stressed to the breaking point, until I finally got to the gate.
The only "solution" they offered was to downgrade me to different seats with the promise of a full refund. Not only did I never get the seats I needed, but now I'm still fighting for that refund. We have trusted Delta for years, choosing to book directly with them because we believed in their service and commitment to their customers. Unfortunately, our recent experience has made us question that loyalty.
We booked our trip through Delta, not Air France. We checked our bag with Delta, not Air France. Yet when our bag was delayed for over a week, causing significant inconvenience and disruption, Delta refused to take responsibility. Instead, we were told to chase down Air France, a partner airline we never booked with directly. This lack of ownership is unacceptable. If Delta takes our money, books our flights, and checks our baggage, then Delta should stand behind its promises and its passengers.
What’s most disappointing is the disregard shown to loyal customers. If Delta won’t support its Diamond and Platinum Medallion members in moments like this, what message does that send to every other traveler? Loyalty should mean something. Instead, we were left feeling dismissed, ignored, and completely unsupported. I fully understand Delta’s policy that boarding doors close 15 minutes before departure. However, Delta has a tendency to depart before the scheduled departure time, which means gates are also closing earlier than expected. This directly impacted my trip to New York with my children on 9/22. I missed our first flight (totaling $635.38), forcing me to book a last-minute American Airlines ticket for nearly $1,500. Frustrated, I canceled my Delta flight without thinking through all the consequences, which left me rebooking a return flight on 8/23 at an additional cost of $566.08, even after applying an eCredit.
On the return home, my daughter was delayed exiting the subway train, causing us to rush. We still arrived 15 minutes prior to departure, yet the gate was already closed with no staff present. Myself and six other passengers were denied boarding. When an employee finally appeared, she was extremely unprofessional—smacking gum, rolling her neck, and dismissively telling us nothing could be done. As a mother traveling with kids for the first time, this left me nearly in tears. Thankfully, another employee at the help desk was kind enough to get us on a connecting flight, but I had to pay additional fees ($78) and rush to another airport (LGA).
This trip that should have cost under $700 for a family of four turned into nearly $2,800 out of pocket. Delta’s poor communication, early gate closures, and lack of customer service at JFK made this one of the worst travel experiences I’ve ever had. Employees at JFK need better customer service training, and gates should not close earlier than published policies. At this point, I will not be flying Delta again for a while.

Originally booked on American Airlines, they were turned away because AA does not allow in-cabin pets on flights longer than 12 hours. In a scramble, they approached Delta’s counter where a representative named Ikeysha sold them tickets for a same-day flight via Salt Lake City to ICN. She assured them they could bring all three cats in-cabin—a critical detail for any pet owner, let alone a military family relocating overseas.
At check-in, they were told this was incorrect: Delta only allows one pet per passenger in-cabin. My son offered to purchase an extra seat to accommodate the third cat, but the agent “Key” refused. He then requested to check the third cat as baggage under Delta’s military PCS pet policy, which explicitly allows pets to fly as checked baggage for active-duty members with transfer orders.
Again, he was denied—this time by Key and supervisor Juan T—because the flight from Salt Lake City to ICN was “too long.” When he suggested rerouting through LAX or Seattle to shorten the international leg, Juan T claimed the cat couldn’t fly out of Austin due to daytime temperatures exceeding 80°F, even though it was 77°F at the time of travel, and Delta’s own policy states the temperature must be under 80°F at the time of departure, not throughout the day. My son then asked to fly early the next morning to avoid heat restrictions. Juan T and Key refused further assistance, told him to “leave one cat behind,” and dismissed him from the counter. They refused to help with a refund and directed him to call reservations.
This treatment is not only inhumane but disrespectful to military families who rely on accurate information and compassionate service during PCS moves. Delta’s own website and military travel policies contradict the actions of their staff in this case. Thank God for United Airlines - the airline with heart, that enabled my son and his wife to bring all 3 pets to Korea when Delta refused to help.

Flight from MIA to ATL Sunday 18Aug25: plane arrived late to the gate from ATL. Sitting by the window I saw the cleaning crew board and leave. THEN the gate agent announced a "maintenance issue." An hour later still not boarding. No communication from Delta on rebooking my connection (one hour layover in ATL so it would be missed). Delta chat agent (had to log on to that AFTER already being logged into the app) claimed there were no later flights that day, so my checked luggage would be at the Baggage Service Office (BSO). I reserved a rental car to drive from ATL to MGM (my originating airport).
AFTER getting on the plane, pilot said the paperwork had to be re-done (!) as it didn't meet the standards (HAVE THEY NEVER DONE THIS BEFORE?). ANOTHER hour delay with the MOST APATHETIC flight attendants you've ever seen. While on the plane Delta advised I was rebooked; there actually WAS another flight to MGM on Sunday. Arriving in ATL I went to the BSO and was told my luggage was going to MGM since it was rebooked. BUT that flight wasn't for another 3 hours and the rental car was NON-CHANGEABLE/NON-REFUNDABLE. So, train to the rental car center, 2 hours in the car to get home and drop off the fam. THEN an hour's drive to MGM to return the rental car and pick up the luggage, then home about 6-7 hours later than should have. AND the cat dogs had to be boarded an additional night vs. being picked up on SUNDAY.
DELTA is saying it's not reimbursing me the $279 for the rental car and I'm only entitled to a credit for future airfare. THIS IS WRONG! DELTA told me there were no more flights on Sunday. A different DELTA phone rep told me I SHOULD submit the rental car for reimbursement. I've been flying since I was in the seventh grade and I have never had an experience that compelled me write reviews, but I am spreading the word of these multiple service failures far and wide to try and prompt delta to comprehensively review this chain of failures.

Dear Delta Customer Care, I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent travel experience on August 19th. My flight from Mexico was delayed for over 12 hours, and the way the situation was handled was unacceptable. During the delay, passengers were provided only a minimal food voucher that did not reasonably cover the cost of meals for such an extended period. The lack of communication and support from airline staff added to the frustration, and as a result of this delay, I incurred both unnecessary expenses and missed work. When I finally arrived in Atlanta, Delta provided a hotel that was in unacceptable condition, with visible bugs and cockroaches. I felt unsafe staying there and had no choice but to leave at 1:00 AM, paying out of pocket for alternative accommodations.
The following morning, when I attempted to continue my travel, I was met with unprofessional conduct from staff. A simple “good morning” was dismissed with a curt “wait.” Additionally, despite the circumstances, I was reassigned to a seat in the back of the plane near the restrooms, which was both uncomfortable and unsanitary, rather than being accommodated more appropriately given the severe inconvenience.
I would also like to understand Delta’s decision-making process: Why was no replacement aircraft provided, and instead a mechanic flown in from Atlanta? Why were passengers not rebooked on Delta partner flights to minimize the disruption? This entire experience was stressful, costly, and far below the standard of service I expect from Delta. I respectfully request a thorough response, as well as fair compensation for the financial losses, stress, and inconvenience caused. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I look forward to your timely reply.

My husband and I planned a trip to Italy for this coming October back in April. We paid to be in comfort plus and had selected seats 32A and B for the flight from JFK to Milan. In July we received notification of a flight change. The orginating flight from CVG to JFK had a 20 minute time change. In the process however, they gave away our seats 32A and B and put us in the middle section of seats when there was no change in this flight. While customer service rep that took my call was nice, I still would have preferred this change to not have taken place.

Although weather cannot be helped the crew assignments can. After experiencing delays all day due to weather in Atlanta on 8/19/2025 the flight from Atlanta to Columbus, Ohio flt 2786 was a result of extremely poor planning!! Once the flight was boarded, an announcement was made that flight 2786 was going to be delayed because of flight attendants over hours. Why was the plane boarded??? This information was known prior to departure. I’m writing this review as I continue to wait on a hot airplane for flight attendants that can actually fly. I find this to be extremely unacceptable! Customer service was not a priority on flight 2786 on 8/19/2025!! Now I’ll be hoping we get into Columbus Ohio before 12a so I’m able to secure the rental car I have reserved or I’ll be sleeping in the airport until they open the following day. NOT HAPPY!!!!

Delta does it again. They don’t fly there but will take your booking on another airline then deny you access with a card that they have a partnership with. This airline customer service is a joke. Find another airline if your an Amex platinum card holder. Yet another reason to find an airline that values it hard working customers.

They kept us waiting until the very end of boarding without letting us know why, after we were called to board as the last two people the flight attendant treated me and my old dad very disrespectfully, she didn’t even care talking to us or saying why this whole thing even happened. I always believed Delta to be the best American airline but no more. I will never fly with Delta again and I don’t recommend at all.

Terrible service. On a recent flight our first plane arrived 30 minutes late (no weather or airport issues. This caused us to miss our landing window at the next airport so the flight was delayed over an hour. We then land at the next airport and our connection left 7 minutes prior to scheduled departure. Delta claims they are not at fault because it was a weather related issue, which it was not. They will not pay for a hotel for us and advise that we can sleep in the airport or outside. We book a new flight on a competitor airline and delta refuses to transfer our bags. Fast forward to the next day where Delta said they would deliver the bags to the address we are staying at, hours go by and we hear nothing. We decide to check in and they say the bags could possibly come the next afternoon. Zero help, zero urgency and zero blame taken by them.

I am filing a complaint about the way I was treated by several Delta agents at the ATL airport. My connecting flight was moved up, and my current flight was late. Upon making it to gate E15, the boarding agent was screaming at everyone to go to Delta service as he continued to accept other people and call names to board. I stepped up to ask him why I could not board if he was actively boarding people. He refused to help me and called a TSA. He told the TSA he was behind, but continued to board some while yelling at people and refusing to help. He then assisted a man who was also late and gave him my seat.
He boarded people for 8 minutes after I arrived while not letting me board. I then asked when the next flight was and he told me he was too busy to help me. I went to Delta service as told. They were extremely unsympathetic and told me they didn’t want to hear about what happened at the gate. I filed a complaint and have heard nothing.

Delta is great when they’re organized. Other than that they don’t care to help. Especially when it comes to military, first responder, second responder. If you’re on orders and they’re at fault for a flight or mishap… oh well they don’t want to accommodate. They’d rather gaslight your chain of command into accommodating you when it’s not their mistake. CONSTANTLY delayed. Only wants to give you refunds through credit even if you paid for refundable back to card at the checkout stage. Give food vouchers of only 12$… like bffr. Lies about flights and how long they run. No staff past 9 so you can’t get help with anything. ATL airport is the worst place delta can be at and omg do they hire the most bitchiest people???

This airline has no respect for your time. They have constant delays, I was on a flight 1892 that had to land at an airport that was 7 minutes closer then what would have been, my final destination. All because they have better capability to fix the plane in that airport. They were more worried about the plane then the passengers. We flew 160 miles to the best location for them to fix the plane. They canceled both my flights, and didn't pay for any hotel expenses, extended rental car expenses, and they don't pay if you miss work. I will forever try to fly a different airline.

I’m extremely disappointed with the customer service I received today. My flight from MSP landed in SLC, and my connecting flight to ONT was already boarding. Despite arriving at the gate at 2:47 PM, and knowing that boarding was scheduled until 2:55 PM, the flight departed without waiting for me and another passenger who were both on the same connecting flight. To make matters worse, I checked and saw that the flight arrived 18 minutes early—so there was absolutely time to accommodate us. Yet, no effort was made to hold the gate or communicate with us.
When I approached the gate agent immediately after missing the flight, I was met with zero empathy. No apology. No concern. Just a cold response: “The next flight is at 10 PM.” That’s it. No explanation, no assistance, no compassion. This experience was not only frustrating but also deeply disappointing. I expected better coordination and basic courtesy from your team, especially when passengers are clearly in transit and delays are not their fault. Please address this issue and ensure that future passengers are treated with the respect and consideration they deserve.

So on airlines you are allowed a carry on and a personal item which is what I exactly had - They made me put my carry on under the plane because not enough room on the overhead? I explained to them I need to catch a shuttle and the timing won’t work if I can’t put it in the overhead- They didn’t give a damn and guess what? I was late for my shuttle. It states a carry on and personal item - it’s upsetting because you do what you need to do for a carry on and they pull that on you! Delta can kiss off!!!!

My recent flight from Huntsville to Atlanta was delayed, and even though the pilot made an effort to speed up the arrival, the experience still ended poorly. After landing, the ground crew left us waiting nearly 20 minutes just to open the door. When I complained, I was told there was “no staff” and to call Delta. It’s clear Delta is focused on profits over service. In Georgia, they underpay staff, which results in poorly motivated workers and low-quality service. Delays are extremely common with Delta, especially through Atlanta. After this experience, I will be switching to American Airlines or Southwest. No more Delta for me

I had a very disappointing experience with Delta Airlines. On our recent flight, my children—ages 4 and 6—were not seated with us, despite our efforts to request seats together ahead of time. When another kind passenger offered to switch seats so I could sit next to my child, the flight attendant became noticeably rude and told us to return to our assigned seats until the aircraft doors were closed. The tone and attitude were completely unnecessary, especially in a situation involving small children who shouldn’t be expected to sit alone. As a parent, this was incredibly stressful and frustrating. I expect more empathy and flexibility from an airline, especially when it comes to the safety and well-being of young children. Delta needs to do better when it comes to accommodating families.

My family and I flew to Orlando Florida on July 4 for a family cruise to the Caribbean. The original return flight with Delta airlines was on July 12, 2025. After the flight was delayed three times that day, it was canceled until the next day, without any explanation. I spent three hours on the phone that night with customer service to rebooked for the next morning. This threw our schedule off, between going back to work, parking rental, car rental, dog sitter and all.
On July 13, we checked in two hours early on DL1953 the next day. I get very anxious when traveling. My daughter came to the bathroom with me to help ease my anxiety. Right after we received a text from Delta airlines informing us of a delay, my husband called us to tell us to come back because they were boarding. When we returned to the gate (10:30 AM, ahead of 10:45 AM departure), the door was still open, my husband was still at the gate talking to us, and other passengers were still boarding. How was that too late.
Jocelyn, one of the agents was screaming at my son go get off the entrance. The other agent said that she didn't have to identify herself, refused to let us board, saying the cutoff time had passed. My husband was at the gate and witnessed everything. Despite pleading with the agents and the flight not leaving until 11:06 AM, we were denied boarding and Delta did not assist us in any way. My husband flew back with them and I had to buy three new tickets on another airline for my son my daughter and myself. When we got back to New York, I wrote a complaint to Delta. They dismissed my complaint. I believe this treatment was unfair and was pure discrimination. If it was the other way around, Jocelyn from Orlando Florida, would have not had given our seats. Delta is too expensive to hire cheap agents like that. They were rude and unprofessional.
