Sun Power took 1 month to get permission to operate from utility company. After this delay took 1 more week to start generating. I spend multiple days switching on/off breakers. 7 days so far. Still paying my utility bill. God knows when will it activate. Bad service.

To save money & environment - neighbor has it and really liked what he was saving money wise. Permits take a really long time. Installers very professional. Salesperson very friendly and professional also. However in winter with snow there is no savings - need to add a trickle charge to help melt snow so that they can work.

I'm the president of the HOA where I live. The installation team I've had is one that I recommend. The people were very professional. I've had SunPower installed on 40 houses and not one of them had one issue related to installation, like them not coming back to fix something. If anything, they've been overly responsive. The team set up something a few weeks afterward just to make sure people had no problems after the installation. They also scheduled a review after one year so they can follow up. It's been exceptional in the sense of how the crew has been doing it. When we said that we were going to deal with them and put out something on our website saying, “People can choose whatever they want. We've had the best experience with this group.” it really motivated a lot of people to go in that direction.

To use the sunlight, give back into grid, be a part of solution. If hold prices down helps everyone, and saving is great too! Mark ** is excellent, helpful, informative, and Timely....He responds with lightning speed, Truly. Also, construction team was excellent, paint and stucco repair at new electrical box can’t even know anyone did a thing. Inside garage immaculate. Kudos all around for first class Professionalism!!!

Help the environment and save money were the factors that led to my decision. The system is performing as promised and the installers were great. The installation was done on time and professionally and the guys were courteous. We could not have had a better experience.

Wanted to reduce electric bill and help environment. Had a solar system at previous home and wanted one at new house. Whole experience with Freedom Solar was painless and was completed on time and professionally. Would recommend Freedom Solar to anyone wanting a solar system.

From the salesman who came and presented all the information about solar and the people who installed it, everything was clean, neat, thorough and accurate. We were impressed with the presentation overall. Things worked well and we're extremely happy.

The way that they sold the system was as turnkey, which was exactly that. They did all of the permits and they hooked everything up. They gave me explanation of everything that they did every time they were here. So it was very straightforward. It's worth its weight in gold. The electric bill went down by $60 to $70, which matches exactly what Freedom Solar quoted. Freedom connected my solar panels to my wireless device and they gave me an application where I can connect to and keep track of the production and the input and output. SunPower should keep doing an excellent job in providing the application that gives users the input and output of the electricity that is being generated by the solar panels. It's simple to use as well.

We noticed lower energy bills and we really liked the monitoring. When we had our panels installed, one of them wasn't registering and they sent out somebody from the company to fix it.

They were all very professional. It took six weeks from the first quote to installation. The installation went well.

With SunPower, what stood out to me is the quality of the panels - how resilient they are against breakage and all that. Also, it holds the production for a long time and the production amount doesn't go down that much as opposed to the other ones. It was easy to get ahold of the agents and people who were involved in the process of making the purchase and the installation. During the pandemic, they didn't have enough staff so it took a little while to get it done but I understand. Since going solar, I've seen my bill go down and I can charge my car. I'm happy with my decision.

SunPower came in and did what they had to do. They were very attentive as far as the process. I've dealt with them in the past, and I was more than happy with their services. They were very easy to deal with. Everything worked out.

We got 25 solar panels installed through SunPower, and we're over-producing. The lead guy who managed the project was the one we talked to and with him, things were very good. At the project manager level, the project was done okay but their communication could have been better. The installers were okay. It was just the city permit was delayed because the city was saying that the plans submitted were different than what was installed.

We had already gone with SunPower and we're happy to return. We were happy with everybody that we did work with before. They put together a system for us, and it's a little undersized, but we knew they were guessing so we weren't unhappy with it. We reached back out to them and said we wanted an upgrade. We wanted to add some more panels, and we’re thinking about storage. We were producing our own energy for a while and our monitoring wasn't working for a while, which was a very simple solution that I should have thought of. The equivalent of turning it off and turning it back on again was the most obvious solution and it worked immediately. We're producing the amount of power that I'm expecting. It looks like we're gonna have no PG&E bill even after gas next year. The storage system is doing its job and offsetting most of our peak usage. So, we're really happy with it.

I was a very early adopter of solar power, and at that time, the life of solar panels was only about 15 years. I had exhausted the life of my old solar panels. They weren't really working anymore. It was time to get new solar panels. I asked around and SunPower was highly recommended. So, I went ahead and worked with them. SunPower is an amazing company. I've never worked with a company as great as them. Their rep was super honest. As far as the installation, they were way ahead of schedule. They were super easy to work with. Everyone was really nice.

When I first got the system installed, there was an issue that I would not necessarily have known about. They proactively reached out to me, sent some people to resolve it, and I didn't have to do anything. They also credited me since my system was not generating what it should have been for that period of time when it was not functioning properly.

I like the fact that they had their warranty combined with one company rather than spread over multiple companies. The installers were really good. They accomplished the job. But thay have a lot of room of improvement as far as communication. Also, I wasn't impressed with the sales rep. He was very pushy and not respectful of my feedback. But the solar is installed and it's working great. I'm completely happy with SunPower. If I install solar on my other house, I'm gonna use SunPower again.

The whole process was easy. So far, so good.

They did as they said they would do it. They did it quickly. They were professional. The system came quickly. The service was much better than Tesla. SunPower was great. They were really responding very quickly. There was some paperwork, but not that much. My electricity bill dropped hundreds of dollars and now I pay about $30 a month.

They answered all my questions and any concerns I had, they would let me know the truth and not just make something up. Also, the warranty is perfect. They have a great warranty package and they stand behind their product.

The process took too long. I was told at first the system would be ready by the end of November of last year. They got it going in the middle of January. So there were long, long delays. There were some appointments that weren't kept. So that was very, very disappointing. They kept telling me that the local people and the installer were coming, but then they didn't show up. That went on two or three times. Then there's a substantial software problems with SunPower, where periodically, it shows that negative power and usage, and that is continuing up until now. The installer said they don't have anything to do with that. They only get what SunPower sends them.

The installers were prompt and good. They got the job done. Now I have enough panels to cover all my energy needs. The only thing I'm lacking right now is the batteries to back it up. They did their job and they did it tidily. But I was concerned that the extra work they had to do was totally redundant and unnecessary due to the inspector. The inspector had to flex his muscles and make them do it. He was being a little bit excessive.

DO NOT USE THIS NASTY COMPANY. They installed their panels on my roof and now I have an infestation of pigeons that are laying nests under my panels. There are dozens of them and they are crapping their acid crap everywhere. I wasn’t offered pigeon nesting, but they said that would have been an add-on anyway. I got panels to save money, not spend more money to put something on that should be the company's obligation to environmental health and sanitation. Because of their panels, pigeons are nesting all around our community and building homes. They are full of diseases.

We had a couple of hiccups on things. From the time we signed the contract with Esmay, it was months before they came out to do the inspection. When the electric company came out to do the inspection to take care of the lines, it was found that we had five homes all attached to one transformer, each getting 100 watts of power.

It wasn't a super easy process with SunPower but I had a person that took me by the hand the entire way. He made it very enjoyable. Brian who is my personal advisor is doing a really good job. The customer support is good too. I'm monitoring the system and whenever I had questions, there was quick and professional feedback from them.

Top quality solar panels. Top quality installers. Process was easy and total complete process of installation and sales was with SunPower only, no outside sub-contractors involved with the installation process. Process takes a little long, but has nothing to do with SunPower, more of this has to do with your local utilities to get permits passed for the process to begin to go solar.

Enrolling was easy. The installation took four days. So far, things have been good.

The installation was quite seamless. What I'm paying every month is a little bit higher than what I was paying earlier because borrowed money to put the solar. We purchased the solar installation instead of leasing it. So now, I have to pay off that loan. But after seven years, it'll pay for itself.

The people who came to do different things were wonderful. Everybody was really knowledgeable, helpful and professional. I felt really good about the whole experience. But there was a problem when they installed the system because it was installed a little differently than I showed on the plans that I put to the HOA. When I called the contractor, Solar Tech, they were really nice about it. They said, "Our mistake. We'll be right out." And they took care of it right away. So far, my bill is smaller. I was really surprised that the system still generates so much solar even on cloudy days. We're really happy with the system.

The salesperson, Mark, was outstanding, followed through. And any issues I have, I can call him and he follows up. Also, their crew was amazing. They were on time. In a 100-plus degree heat, they were out there working like crazy. They were clean and the most safety-conscious company I've ever witnessed. I even took pictures. Because I said I've never seen one to be so protective of the ladders, and the safety. So they were very unique. I went and bought them pizza, and they were so appreciative. I got a letter back from the president. He said, “We rarely gonna get letters of compliment.” They deserved it. Those guys worked so hard.

I love Earthlight. They're a great company and I appreciated their professionalism. We felt that we were being serviced by a small hometown business. It felt completely different. You feel the personalization. You feel a more intimate relationship than these big old corporations and they use SunPower which is the best technology out there. The installation was seamless and looks better than any other installation in and around the town I live in. I'm extremely happy with it. I could barely even see it. They worked on my house like it was their own house and that's something to be said for that because that doesn't happen a lot anymore. The one unfortunate thing was I wanted the solar panels put on my main house. They ended up having to be put on my garage because the engineer wouldn't pass off on the dormer of the roof. Probably because we're in New England, you have to account for snow accumulatio. That was a bit of a letdown.

Got a bid for solar from Brianda **. Paid. They said a previous contractor's work caused a delay even though they came out to inspect before assuring me they could install and have power on quickly. Now they're charging monthly payments, I have solar that won't work, and 2 roof leaks with water damage to drywall. No target date as to when they think the panels might work, few responses, no returned calls. Hilarious.

My Sunpower system is 13 years old. I am very happy with it. Now it needs a new inverter (it was only warranted for 8 years), it still works but I am sure it won't last much longer. I have been calling Sun power directly for a month, all you do is give me the number of local vendors in my zip code. No one can obtain it. Am I happy about this? Will I recommend SunPower to prospective customers? Try to guess my answer. (PS the answer is definitely no, I will not recommend Sun Power unless you can allow me the privilege of purchasing a replacement inverter).

The man that was going over the process with us was very informative and answered questions good. He did his job very well. The installers did wonderful. Everything went so smoothly. Once everything was approved, the measurements were taken and everything was fine.

We decided to go solar to save money. We had an amazing agent named Deann ** who explained everything great and worked out a great deal. We will be referring her and others on her team to all our friends and family when they decide to go solar.

We chose to go with solar for environmental reasons and we received a recommendation to work with Earthlight Solar. Great experience all around with pro level installation and easy to understand instructions from the tech. Very happy with the process.

I finally pulled the trigger on a solar system to save over the long term rate hikes from PG&E. It was a great experience from start to finish. They took the extra time to do things right. They were efficient and friendly.

This is the last house we will own & we decided that since we will be here long term that we would try to help the environment as well as save some money. We chose Sunpower because of the excellent reviews, tremendous warranty & the reputation of the installer, Freedom Solar. We liked dealing with one entity for all the components & materials, warranty claims process (if any) & the entire install process.

I went solar because money in the bank made little gain. I went solar long ago knowing electric prices would rise. My quite old panels keep saving us. I have received superb assistance from staff at Sunpower getting my system reconnected on line. Yea!

In addition to several benefits to the environment, we purchased the Solar system primarily to lock in our electricity costs as we anticipate energy prices to rise in the future. The project management for our installation was excellent. SunPower constantly updated us on project milestones and our install proceeded ahead of schedule. We highly recommend SunPower.

I decided to go Solar last fall. I heard about the tax incentives so I decided to get an estimate of the cost of installation before the end of the year. Sunpower/Freedom Solar had a good rating so I called them up. The rep was professional and listened to my concerns. I went with an 11 panel set up. Everything went smoothly from there. The installation and the meter installation went according to plan and schedule. My panels were up and running by mid December. I love keeping track of the output on the AP that Freedom mentioned I load on my phone. I have already received my rebates from both Freedom and Austin Energy. My big 26% tax write off will happen when I file this Spring. All in all, I’m very satisfied with the investment. It’s nice to know that I’m using clean energy and doing my small part in reducing the amount of carbon I send into the atmosphere.

Wanted to reduce electric cost and be environmentally friendly. Watch infomercial for Sun Power and decided to contact them. Local dealer contact us and have a proposal based on our needs. It was a no pressure experience. Installation went along as planned. Activation took a week or so longer than expected but all went well.

I decided to go solar because I thought it would lower my monthly power bills & provide our power needs when the grid goes down. Instead, my bills have either stayed the same or increased. Since the installation is just a couple of months old, I'm being patient and allowing the distributor/dealer to fix problems and make adjustments in the system. If this continues, however, I will not be a happy camper and will make that known to friends and family as well as those who read my reviews in social media.

I love the product and how it works. It is too hard to reach a real person at SunPower before, during and after installation. They have a real customer service issue. Also, I had to deal with too many different customer service people as I did my installation in December. The product is great and I get all the solar I need when it's sunny.

The Service One installers sucked and I had to call them back everything time. I had piss poor customer service from them. But SunPower intervened and got everything done. I had them continuously calling Service One to get something done because I hadn't heard from them for almost two months after getting everything financially approved. I contacted SunPower to get everything rectified and they did that. The system is living up to expectations and producing exactly the production I thought it would.

SunPower was very transparent about everything and we appreciated it. The crew that came out and installed it was great. They had to repair a shingle and they went out and did it. Wherever they were installing something on the side of the house, they went and got matching paint and painted the side ‘cause we didn't have any extra paint. We're thrilled with our decision to go solar.

The salesman explained and went through everything with us. He told us about the whole tax thing and whatnot. The guys who installed the panels did a great job. Then the salesman did a follow-through and called us after it was installed. So far, we haven’t had any issues. It's been doing its thing.

I like that I have solar, but it's not entirely financially liberating. The energy I produce covers the cost of the electricity itself on my bills, but there is also a delivery fee that I wasn't entirely aware of how that was billed, which I still pay. I think that's just the way that utilities are setting up their systems so that they can still have some revenue coming from customers who are partially off the grid. But I liked the sales rep. He was good. I can also track the progress with solar panels through an app. Overall, everybody should go solar who has a good roof angle for the sun. It's worthwhile.

Enrollment was all virtual over the phone since COVID, but the experience overall was good. The process went very well on the installation. I no longer own the house with the SunPower, but I was very happy with it. It was a good product. They have smaller, more efficient panels and I didn’t have to have as many.

The rep was so nice to me. Very informative. He was such a nice man and explained everything. He told me what the process was. And he told me he would email me all the plans and the rates as far as my payment, and what my options were as far as financing, which I appreciated. The actual design was different than what they put on my house. The installer looked at me and said, "You know what? It will be better this way." And he changed it a bit. I said, "Yeah! That is so much better." "Aesthetically?" "Yes!" He reduced the panels on the front and put it more on the back, which I was so happy with. Because I don't want all this stuff on the front my house. I have a ranch house, so it would have been a lot of panels on the front. I'm so appreciative of that. I've already told others, "Go with this company. This is the company. Go!" And they said okay. SunPower is a 10 out of 10. I'm in default, so I don't even get a bill. And gas is crazy. So, I’m so glad I did this.

Prior to moving to Connecticut, I worked in the Solar Cell manufacturing side, as a supplier to manufacturers of Cells, and SunPower was a customer of mine. After moving to the East coast, I decided I wanted to install Solar to help manage my energy cost; reduce my reliance on the grid and contribute the environmental benefits of Solar. Earthlight was the most professional team I've worked with personally and professionally. Excellent Communication, planning and exceeded my expectations.

We got our first set of solar panels back in 2012, and we love them so much but we couldn't afford to pay to cover our electric bill completely. So in 2017, we went back and got enough to take care of our whole bill. Then we bought a beach house. We called SunPower back for a third time to put solar panels on that house. We recommended them to my sister who's got them. They're a great product. Our SunPower team is South Coast Solar and they're very responsive. If I had another property, I'd put more on them. They provide good service.

SunPower handled all three things. We also like the warranty on the roof and the panels. There were just two things of concern. One was that we got a surprise about having to replace all the roof. We were just expecting to replace some of it. Also, the fact that we were told we were charged for two, but once the roofers got up there and started tearing it down, they told us they were charging us for three. Nobody ever really went on the roof when we got the estimate. I would have appreciated somebody actually getting up on there and taking a closer look and saying that we would be charged for three 'cause they pretty much took our word saying that we just had two.

Mainly so we would have power when SCE shuts down. Savings nice benefit in addition to peace of mind knowing we have power. Very pleased with Sun Power by Sun solar. Employees are very professional. I would highly recommend this company and urge people to consider solar.

I got quotes, estimates, and schedules from three different solar companies and the SunPower representatives met my requirements. The install team was very hands-on and personable. They said they would get it done in one day, and they put up 23 panels in one day. I liked the potential savings, provided that California didn't screw everything up. My last two bills were $20 versus about 250 for this time of year. Also, I keep track of what I'm producing through the SunPower app on my phone. It gives me all the information I need. I’d definitely recommend SunPower.

I decided to go solar for environment, cut daily electrical costs due to medical equipment and just do the best thing for our future. SunPower was really nice to work with and I would recommend Ambrose/SunPower as a great representative of Solar business.

The panels work great. You just need to clean them after a fire or dusty season to keep the efficiency up to par. The installers were extremely professional and executed a seamless installation in just 1 day plus they painted the conduit lines so it matches the walls in my garage. Great!

This is our second solar installation using SunPower and Renova Energy. We feel by installing a SunPower system, we are accomplishing two priorities - minimizing an adverse impact on our climate and capturing electricity costs at a point in time knowing electricity will continue to rise in cost.

Decided to go solar for financial reasons. So far I have been pretty happy with the system, however there have been a couple of glitches I will explain. Was told it would be about 60 days for the installation of the panels - it was about 90. The system has been hooked up for over a month now and the engineer was here yesterday to fix the monitor system which hasn't worked correctly yet. It may work correctly now, but I will have to see.

With a pool pump having to run for several hours per day on top of a house with two boys that leave every light on in the house, we decided to go solar for the environment and to save money in the long run. I’m happy with Sunpower’s equipment, but the installation was just so so. If you have a light weight concrete tile roof it’ll cost more and depending on the roofing company, may result in poor workmanship. Sunpower’s contractor left an uneven tile line that’s kinda visible and a few broken tiles as a result from troubleshooting after the roofers were done. They also hit an external drainage line when drilling to install the grounding Rod which was never fix. Like I said, I’m happy with the product, just not the install.

We chose Sunpower for their longevity and common 25 year warranty on everything, including production. They delivered on their promise to handle nearly everything for us and our system is up and running as promised. The system works well with our electric car and makes more than we use.

I did not like the idea of having to pay for electricity at a fluctuating rate for the rest of my life when there was an option to do something about it. I’ve had solar with Sunpower for just over one year now and so far so good.

Wanted to help the environment…lead the way in sustainable energy! We used Cal Solar in Grass Valley and they installed Sun Power panels, our preference. They worked well with our roofing company, came over to show us how to read the Sun Power app to track our usage, and generally showed professional dedication through the whole project.

From the first meeting with Earthlight (my local SunPower installer) to getting my system up and running has been a great experience. I talked with 7 other installers that install other panels over the course of a year before I met with the SunPower installer. The choice was clear that SunPower/Earthlight was the best option. I chose to pay for my system outright, but all loan/lease options are offered as well. Earthlight was on top of everything, and made it clear how the process with permits and inspections was going along the way. The install team was efficient, clean, and did everything perfectly. My system is working great! I already referred two people in a short time.

My sisters in had used SunPower and were very satisfied. I knew that this would help my over all living costs and keep our rates lower in the future. We are very satisfied!! This has been good for us financially and the payment plan is lower than the monthly costs of the power provided by the local city.

The installation was pretty smooth. I'm pleased with the product and I was satisfied.

We were very pleased with the entire process of designing, installation and power output from SunPower panels and Freedom Solar. The staff were always available to answer our questions on technology, working with our local power company and federal tax credit. It seems that the effects of global warming are accelerated and extreme. Everyone should do their part to reduce greenhouse gases. Rooftop solar panels are our contribution to this effort.

I went Solar to help the environment and save some money. It took a awhile to get the system in service but after replacing some modules I got it to work. I also installed a backup battery to ensure that during power outage I still have some power.

The customer service has been great. They explained to me all the details about getting solar, their products are exceptional, and they are keeping me updated on the timeline to install my new solar system.

We signed up for solar for environmental reasons. We want to do something for future generations. We really like our system. The one negative is you keep making us sign-in to the system, which requires both me and my husband to go find our passwords and login information to sign in. I have not been able to use my SunPower app, cause I don't remember to resign in. Thanks, Anne Marie.

Fred, who was our salesman, provided all the explanations, was on call, and responded very quickly to my questions and calls. Then, when they came to install the product, he was there. He got everything together for me. We had a few glitches during the installation but they were addressed very quickly. I would strongly recommend SunPower.

There was no hassle with enrollment. Everything was taken care of and I didn't have to do anything. The installers did a great job too. I didn't even need to be home. Overall, SunPower is a great company. Everything was explained clearly and everything they did is exactly what they said they were going to do.

I had SunPower installed on my vacation house. The salesman was very helpful 'cause they had to do a roof situation with it to get the panels installed and it worked out well.

I reached out to two other companies and I also went to two people who used EmPower for their system. They both had a similar experience to what I had. The customer service was very professional. Nobody was here, calling me constantly to see if I decided to take it or not take it, and from the get-go, the initial contact was very informative. I had plenty of questions for them, and they had the answers that I knew it would be. I felt very confident from the get-go to deal with EmPower, then every step along the way was a different department who knew what they were doing and it seemed very organized to me.

I'm a returning customer with SunPower. I've been with them for 12 years and the service continues to be good. I like the app. The upgrades to it are decent because now I can monitor the power I use off the grid with the new monitoring tool that's part of the new system. I couldn't do that before. The reps are very good too. I was talking to one yesterday about my new system that they installed on top of my old system. Going solar continues to surprise me and I am enjoying the experience every day.

I'm happy about the installation. It went fast and the guys were nice. They came when they said they were going to come and didn't leave a mess. They had to come out a couple of times because there were some signals cross between the different guys. But they didn't make it difficult for me and I didn't have to worry about anything. But the system isn't on yet even though the panels have been up for a month. It's taking a long time and kind of frustrating. SunPower said that they don't know when they're going to be able to get it online, but they're working on it.

We really like SunPower. They made things extremely easy, and the customer service was excellent. The only hang-up we had was waiting for the Tesla batteries, which were many months on backorder. That was not their fault though. They went ahead with all of the products they could do and install and then had to leave it at that point because the batteries were not available. Apart from that, the system is perfect and if we did anything else, we'd want more of exactly the same.

I had four bids, and I was able to compare. The salesperson from SunPower was very informative, and I didn’t have a problem of asking questions about their competitors. It's been flawless from beginning to end. We were never in the dark and we always knew what the next project was in the process, which was nice. The guys that came over to install were very nice and quick too. Overall, I love SunPower. They have great customer service.

When I call SunPower, customer service is able to take care of any issue I have, and the way they take care of it is good. Also, the guy who installed the panels was able to explain everything. He directed us in everything that we needed to do in case something went wrong and what we should be looking at. That was cool. The system is very efficient, and we haven’t had any problems since it was installed. I'm very satisfied.

They were great at communicating with me. I always knew what the next step was. On the day the installation was scheduled, things happened seamlessly. People showed up like they were supposed to. Any time we had questions, they always did a great job answering them or any concerns that we had. There was some issue with the reader and what it was telling us it pulling. But they caught it before we did and immediately fixed it once they figured it out.

We got started with SunPower then lost contact for a while. I called them, and they said, “We were busy with other things. We're now ready. We've gotten approval.” It's been positive with the reps and I was extremely pleased with the installation. I made recommendations to others who called SunPower to go forward with it and SunPower sent me $1,500 for the recommendation, which was great. However, the process of getting it was complicated. I'll recommend them, but I'm not putting in for any of their rebates because it was a pain. I was very dissatisfied with that program. Either give me a rebate or give me a cash incentive, but don't tell me you're gonna give me this incentive then make me jump through 15 or 20 hoops to get it. I was really upset with that. Also, the card’s only accepted in certain areas and that's baloney.

I explored at least five different companies and one thing that sold me on SunPower was a local distributor for SunPower that seemed to be one more cost-efficient, but less trying to oversell me on things I didn't really want or need. Aside from that, with them having the experience with working with SunPower, it was a nice joint collaboration.

A neighbor had used and been happy with SunPower. Then another friend had used them years ago and been happy with their returning when there were issues. I've wanted to go solar for years. We decided, with the pandemic, it was definitely time to do something. So, we finally did it with SunPower. Their rep was very easy to work with. He was a nice guy and knew his stuff. As far as the installation, they made it look easy. It all went fine. I’d tell others to use SunPower.

The people from SunPower were very responsive. It was a new build, so they troubleshooted things and got here when we needed them. So, it was a good experience.

Sunpower is a very expensive system. I was mislead to believe the panels could be monitored individually like nearly every other solar company. This is NOT the case. SunPower does not share this information, nor does anyone monitor this for you. It's worthwhile to buy another brand and be able to track your system's performance accurately.

SunPower got the panels installed. They said PG&E have to usher it in some kind of way and they haven't got it completely taken care of yet but other than that, the experience has been pretty good.

Getting the panels installed was easy. I thought it would be more complicated and it would take longer, but it was fast. I’m very satisfied with SunPower. They're very reasonable and time-efficient.

The SunPower system itself, so far, has been very good. The sales rep was fantastic on both occasions. The installation crew who came to the property has been amazing. Last year, I put 10 panels on my roof, and I was in England when that was being done. There was an eight-hour time difference, but that could not have gone more smoothly. This year, six extra panels and a battery has been a catalogue of disasters. The SunPower project manager has been useless and caused me numerous problems. The communication with him had been appalling. He had not emailed or phoned. He had information that he did not pass on. I have had to chase constantly. I have had people turn up to do inspections at my property when I wasn't aware.

Signing up with SunPower was pretty simple and their people didn't play a bunch of games. I looked at several different companies and their rep was the most honest. The installers were good as well and they answered all my questions. SunPower's product and service is very good quality and since I went with them, the bill seems to be lower.

The installation was excellent. My power bill's gone down with SunPower. I would tell others to go them.

I had SunPower solar panels put in and I'm very satisfied.

The installer was good and easy to work with. But we had a problem because we had lightweight ceramic tiles on the roof. So, the installers removed the tiles and installed shingles back there because that was what was easiest for them to install the panels on and nobody could see the shingles anyway. It's on a hillside and you can't see the installation unless you go down on a street below us. Other than that, it was fun watching the electric meter run backwards once the system got installed.

The installation was seamless. SunPower did a very good job. The electric bill savings is a big deal. It’s going on two years now, and we probably dropped our electric bill by 40%. They came out and serviced one of the panels. They got a way to detect a problem. Go for SunPower.

On the first month that we got SunPower, the bill was $3 and in addition to that, there was a note that said we saved an entire time of carbon equal to what it would normally have been released. At this point, we're only six months into having solar but it's been absolutely positive ever since we got the system installed. And they installed it in a day which was mind boggling.

SunPower did everything they said they were going to do and when they said they were going to do it. That should be normal, but it’s rare. And the price was what they said it was going to be. The installation was also great. They said they were going to do it in one day. They came in in the morning, showed me how to get to the app to monitor the usage, and introduced me to the box that’s out there. Then they were done and they left around 2:00.

I liked SunPower and the rep that I got than any of the others. I wouldn't recommend any of the other companies. The rep, Bill, was very informative and I was very satisfied with him. The installation was quicker than what another rep had said and they were good. The lease is 20 years as opposed to 25 years, which saves money and I have not had an electric bill at all since I put the solar panels on my house.

SunPower had the best recommendation. We looked at a couple other places. I like the panels that SunPower used. They were the higher grade cells. Signing up with them was great. They kept us updated and finished the project about when they said they would. They did a good job, and we're real happy with what we have.

I contacted the SunPower's agent in Vacaville and he seemed to be very professional. But occasionally, there were some questions that were not answered thoroughly, especially about how to calculate the payment. I know the professionals understand about that but that doesn't mean we understand everything. Some details sounded tricky and I'd like to find everything to be very straightforward and nothing to be hidden. Other than that, they have already saved us money and I hope the system can last as long as it is promised for 25 years.

Enrolling with SunPower was easy. The installation was very quick and easy, too. It’s a great product, and we are very satisfied.

Since using SunPower, our electric cost is much lower. The signup process was all pretty good. We had a good sales rep. The installers were prompt as far as coming in, doing the installation, and getting it done the same day. Customer service-wise, they're exceptional as far as guiding you through each step of the process. They were really on time and clear as far as giving you all the information.

I was told that I only needed 26 panels and I got 27. They're getting extra kilowatt hours every month and they're accumulating so they're working really good. SunPower set it up on my computer on my internet so I could click over to it and see what I'm producing per day and per hour. Since having it, my bill is zero. The only thing I pay is $13 for administration fees where Duke Energy has to go over the stuff in HR and I got about 4,000 kilowatt hours over I got stored right now. When we had those cloudy days, they used them for me.

The representative did a great job and gave me a bid. I liked the bid and we just went with it. Installation was perfect. Looking at the specs for the solar panels, SunPower is one of the best and it's American made. It's one of the better purchases I've made. I haven't paid a utility bill for over a year now.

The salesman, Spencer, was phenomenal. We did everything on the phone because he's in Austin and we're 400 miles from there. He answered all our questions to the level of detail that I needed to know with my little analytical mind. We don't make decisions quickly so he gave us space when we needed it. We talked to him several times on the phone, and we were really pleased with the help that we got from him. We talked to other companies and Spencer was a huge part of us choosing SunPower. He did a really good job managing that process for us. I've sent people to him because he was that good.

The solar panel system was put in in August and the process was very simple. The biggest and toughest thing to do was trying to sift through all the technological aspects of it and figure out what was gonna work best for me, what has the biggest capability of lasting lots of years, and what has the best warranty. The guy that came out to talk to us about SunPower knew what he was talking about and the layout of their proposal was such that it made it very easy for me to decide which way to go. I got four quotes from various people in the central Illinois area and there were a couple of things that put it over the top for SunPower. Of major importance to me were the microinverters and the microinverters that SunPower uses seemed to be the best on the market. I was a little disappointed that SunPower was just quoting their own microinverter but when I found out that it was a licensed microinverter and attached to each panel, that impressed me a lot.

The installers were great, and I've been very satisfied that the system does what it wants to do. With PG&E doing their shtick, I'm going to have to put more panels up there and get a couple of batteries. Overall, Sunpower was very good. The only thing I didn't like about it was getting onto the thing where they check your usage and you can look at it. That was difficult because I use a Mac desktop instead of a phone.

The installation crew was great. The manager and the staff were very friendly. So, everything was good on that end. Where the ball got dropped by the company HES, was the timeline and the communication, to where the inspector who was going to come the next day didn't come. I didn't get a call and the installation was rescheduled a minimum of two times. It wasn't so much the product, SunPower, it was just the process and the communication that I got, which is where it was just really bad.

SunPower had an incentive where you could save some money if you did your roof and solar panels at the same time. The installation team did a good job and the panels have worked really great. When we did our Tesla PowerWall, that ended up getting delayed quite a bit. My criticism is they overschedule so it takes them longer to get it done than I or they would like.

The rep and the installation team were very good, and everything was done professionally and on time. Sunpower lowered our bill considerably.

Everything was very clear and the signup went well. The installers were very efficient and did their work very well. SunPower works very well. I would recommend it. There was nothing except the connection fee, now. So, that was good.

SunPower has panels that produce a lot of power per square foot taken on the roof. There's a lot of papers to sign, but they guide you through it pretty easily. SunPower is good. The app works though it doesn't tell you any results broken down per panel so I can't tell which one is producing better than the other.

I would tell friends SunPower is worth getting. That's how I got mine. A friend of ours in church got it, so I called him and asked about it. I knew if he got it, it would be worth getting and I'm glad I did it. The people who came and worked were all wonderful.

The installation went really well till a guy fell through the ceiling. He slipped off one of the boards up there. His leg came right through the ceiling, but they took care of that. Everything went really smoothly with our experience with SunPower. So far, we have a lot lower utility bills.

The installation was done in a day and a half. It was fantastic. I'm satisfied.

I like SunPower's financing option, warranty, technology, and panels. They manufacture every part of the system. The sales process was pretty straightforward though we went back and forth on multiple proposals. The installation process was a bit fragmented though 'cause they ended up outsourcing. It seems they have different partners for different parts of the project and the communication between them was abysmal. The panels were installed first before the electrical system was upgraded. So, the panel sat on the roof for about a month before anything was done. It took a month longer than it should have. I initially signed the contract back in April and I started producing in mid-August.

SunPower accommodated all my needs. When I enrolled with them, it was smooth. The installation was fast. They came on the scheduled date, took about four or five hours to install everything, and then took another two weeks to get the electrician out and connect everything. Got all of the approvals from the electric company and started producing solar.

The installation was scheduled as soon as SunPower could. I had a timeline because I needed to go on vacation and go out of town. They worked within that timeline, which was short. They stayed on it, and it was good. We're less than a year in, but it seems that the panels are making a good amount of energy. We're making more than we're using.

I've had SunPower now for a little over a year. I made a phone call the other night to inquire if there is anything within SunPower's regime that could supply me with a backup storage batteries for my existing solar system that they had Summit Power put in. The rep I talked to was pleasant and somewhat informative. He told me I needed to get with somebody in their billing department to see if there's any financing capabilities that can be modified or added to my current lease purchase plan that I have with SunPower for the solar energy system, and whether or not that they can come back and install the backup storage battery system. I had a power outage last week for 15 hours and that's even with the solar power. If I had a backup system such as a generator or backup storage batteries, then that would have eliminated a lot of my power shortage. Other than that, I have no problem with SunPower.

The sales rep was great. He explained everything. It was a breeze signing up with SunPower and getting the financing squared away. The installation crew was great, too. They worked really hard and explained how everything worked afterward, so it was good. They were great to work with. They answered all my questions and the quality of the work was excellent.

The salesperson instilled significant confidence, and we really liked him. We met with four other people who were idiots and simply did not like them and kept stalling on putting in a system because of that. The SunPower installers met with me and told me largely what they were going to do. On install day, the first crew arrived and installed the pylons because we did an in-ground system and they had to put foundations. They did the underground work and that took four days then the installation of the panels took a day and a half, which was quick. The way it goes together was like a Lego set. After that, they finished up the electrical.

The installation crew answered all my questions and did a good job. They got it done pretty quick and I was happy. Right now, I'm saving money on electricity.

So far, so good. We did not have to pay for electricity our first three months, and then we've had a greatly reduced last two months. Living here in the Midwest, you catch as much sun as you can in the summer and whatever you can in the winter is kind of gravy.

Everybody on the SunPower team in San Diego came to my house and my rental house that I own, and they were the A-team. Maya the project manager was excellent. Also, on the statements that I get on my computer, we're doing okay. I haven't gotten any major bills to pay. It's just me and my wife, and we're careful about how we follow the 9 to 4 o'clock usage of power. I don't leave lights on, unless I need a couple, but nothing critical.

I'm happy with my newest solar energy system. However, there were some technical difficulties with the signing of paperwork that needed to be resolved. I could never open the file or the program would stop running. But for the installation and the production, everything's fine.

When the original people came, they didn't have a ladder big enough. Fortunately, I did and we got the installation done. From the time that they completed the build-out, there were some delays of people not getting the right paperwork to the right people because it took a long time to get the approval from the power company to turn our system on. Nobody was going to admit it, but it took way longer than it should have from when they completed all the processes until we got to flip the switch. The whole thing took eight weeks.

Bill Solar Review was great and the installation is going well. But SunPower could respond to my emails about when we're going to be on a schedule to install the electronic vehicle charger. It's taking a while. Other than that, they were good with everything else and I'm really happy with the job. The crew was very respectful and they did their job and left a clean worksite.

I needed to redo my roof and I was very pleased to know that SunPower's installers also did that. So, I put on a new roof on my house on my garage. I also wanted to go solar mainly because I do have that in my home in Sarasota County, Florida and it's doing so well. I was looking to see if I could get that done in my home here and I was very pleased that I did. I researched and I settled with Kamtech Solar. Everything went very smoothly. Aside from that, this is my third bill from Con Edison and I'm very pleased with the reduction.

They came out and gave us the estimate. We did the financing. They contacted us saying that they were going to come out and install. Took about two days. The installers were great. The follow-up with Ambrose Solar has been really good.

In the very beginning, I was inclined towards SunPower because I've been watching the quality of their panels and their growth in the product over the last 10 years. I got a couple of other bids, but they were close enough that I elected to go with SunPower. Plus, there were two SunPower installations across the street with different installers. When I signed up, the guys I talked to at SunPower, especially the one named David, were excellent on the facts and how the solar panels themselves as well as the assemblage fits into the utility and PG&E. They also knew how the amount of energy compares with the amount of use. David was very encouraging that I make up my own mind about how much I needed and he was perfectly willing to step up and say what he thought we needed.

Gary, the sales rep from AEC Solar who was the vendor for SunPower in the area, was great. Also, everything went great with the installation, although they had to wait on me to get a new roof put on the garage. The look and the aesthetics in the installation are the best I've seen, having driven around and looking at other people's solar installations.

SunPower has been okay, but the process could be better. We needed to get the approval from the city and our HOA has some guidelines that we needed to follow in terms of the solar panel installation. SunPower‘s competitor usually can take care of those things for the homeowner but SunPower asked us to deal with the HOA by ourselves.

The enrollment and installation were good. The installers were excellent.

Everything was good with the customer service. All the time, they were sending me emails or calling me. They were very nice. In the last two months, I'm just paying the minimum. I'm very satisfied.

Enrolling with SunPower was one of the easiest things I've done. They were very helpful all the way and the install was amazing. The solar panels turned up on a Wednesday and the hardware turned up on a Thursday. The guys turned up at 12:00 Thursday morning and by 3:00 Friday afternoon, they were finished and going home. The system was turned on and I just had to wait for my local electric company to come and put the two-way meter in. Once they put the bi-directional meter in, I got home and I turned the meter on myself. I flipped the switch and went online and started collecting power. Also, I got an app on my phone and I can check in anywhere I'm at.

SunPower got us in quickly and their installers were here and done in two days. I dealt with them after the fact and they walked me through everything. However, SunPower needs to open up their options with financing companies. The one we had to use was terrible.

The reps were very friendly and helpful and they seemed to know what they were talking about. Also, they didn't sound like salespeople, they sounded like just real people and I like that. Then, enrollment was very easy. They sent a DocuSign for the paperwork that needed to be signed and guided me through the process. They did most of the heavy lifting.

It went very well with SunPower. The installation got delayed because we got our house repaired. But once we got that repaired and they set the date, they came right in and took care of the installation quickly. The only problem was we kept waiting for PG&E to connect us. That took a little bit longer than we anticipated. That was probably the longest of the whole process. But when we finally got it going, we were happy. SunPower is definitely the way to go. We're very pleased.

I enjoyed the conversation I had with Freedom Solar who was our installer. I was very happy with the process. The panel looked fantastic on the roofs and they did a good job of hiding the wires everywhere. Overseeing from the costing standpoint, our summer bills were somewhere in the 350 range but it was less than 100 bucks on our first month with SunPower. My last month was $7.

They did a virtual presentation with the computer and it was very well done. It was explained very well. Once I signed on with them, they took care of pretty much everything -- HOAs and utility company filings. I was extremely happy with their team. The system has been operational now for about five months on my house and so far, it seems to be working pretty well.

Bill, my sales rep, was a good guy. He communicated well and was thorough and available. The installation was seamless. I've recommended SunPower three times already.

My sales rep was fairly detailed and the installation went smoothly. It took a little less than a day. They kept the property clean and didn't scratch anything up. SunPower has good results. There are no defects in any of the panels.

I got a little bit less power than I thought I was going to and I'm a little bit disappointed in that. I thought it would get more power than what their projections were but it's fine. The rep educated me and that was good. Also, I noticed certain months with no electric bills, which was nice.

The contractor that did the install did a good job. It took a long time from the start of the project to when the system was powered up but that was mostly because of all the permitting process which was difficult. They broke ground in February but to route the wiring, get the construction done and get finally powered up took five months. But other than that, SunPower was fantastic.

The customer service was great and everybody we dealt with was really helpful. Going solar seems to be going fine so far.

The installation went terrible. There was roof damage and I got a very poor response from the installer. It took six months for this issue to get resolved. It was just resolved last week. Then, when he reinstalled the panels last week, there are still some minor issues. They still haven't been able to fix the monitoring system that they installed. I was without solar power generation for about three months because he took the panels off. But SunPower's products are fine, although they didn't step in to help me out and push this issue along.

The installers were here early in the morning, and they came back the following day to finish up. I thought I would get a delay in the process because of the electric company, having to upgrade the meter and their approval for them. But everything pretty much went smooth and wasn't that long. From start to finish, it was three weeks because SunPower couldn’t activate the grid until someone from O & R and Building Inspections came and saw the finished product. Having SunPower, the bill is a lot lower.

The solar panels that SunPower uses have an integrated controller and that was a selling point to me. Going through the installation and the sale with Arizona Solar Concepts was great. They kept me up to date and overall, they were there when I needed to ask a question.

SunPower had one group come out to make sure that all of the connection to the power grid was set up and another group came out to install the cells themselves. The project for the workshop is complete and the one for the house is in process. I want to make sure I get the same group when they come to do the house because they were phenomenal. They were very careful with the property and were professional in the installation. The system in the workshop went up in early July and I've already had some storms and wind but it's perfect. It works perfectly and there's not a drop of problems.

The sales rep was good and the process was seamless. However, I'm still worried about the time it rained and got a leak. I had a leak before and they sent a guy out who put some more stuff on the roof. That held for a little while but in that same area, I still have a little leak because I have a drop in the ceiling and when the water comes, it leaves a stain. They are telling me that if it’s not sun-related, then I might have to pay for it.

The fella that I worked with, Tom, was very communicative and helpful throughout the entire process, as was the office team. Everything was smooth and it's going great.
