Had some trouble with getting the system up and running but Blue Raven eventually sorted it out. Happily making solar power now.
They installed my system nearly 2 months ago. I was told I would be getting an inspection that day and the system turned on but the inspection was not done until nearly the end of December. The inspection failed but I did not receive any word as to why. They said they contested the inspection but didn't schedule a reinspection until the 17th of January. That day came and went and no inspectors came. I got very little sleep because I work off shift and had to stay awake to make sure I was there for the inspections. They then told me they would be coming the next day and I again ruined my sleep for this incompetent company to get no inspection again. On top of this they started charging me already. I was told when I signed up that I wouldn't be charged for the solar panels until they were producing power. In spite of this I have already been charged for my panels even though they cannot be turned on until the inspection is complete.
Our team looked into this, and believe that the delays were with the county. After installation, they lost (but then found) the permits we submitted, which delayed the inspection to mid-December. The inspection failed for unclear reasons, so we disputed the results. We won the dispute on 01/15, and rescheduled for 01/17, based on the county's availability since BRS did not need to be present. The county told us that the inspection passed on 01/17. We've reach out to address the early billing.
I have tried to be kind and patient with them. Yes, they are kind but we have had a problem with them at every turn. I have never written a one star review in my life. But please, do not use Blue Raven. It has been a year since we purchased and we are STILL having problems. From the approval process, to the install, to the turning them on. They have dropped the ball every time. My husband has spent hours on the phone with them trying to move the process along. Our city was tough in getting our solar panels approved but Blue Raven dropped the ball. And now we are ready to turn them on and Blue Raven yet again didn't do it right so my husband is yet again on the phone.
Hi Nancy, we had many complications with working with your city since the architectural review board only meets once a month, and did not provide us with clear guidelines to follow when designing your project. This was also complicated by supply chain changes that happened during the month-long outcome waiting period which required several resubmissions, as well as questions about the pre-existing fire damage to your attic. We're glad that we were ultimately able to resolve these issues.

Blue Raven Solar (owned by SunPower) lied to me to get me to sign their contract, started installing lower quality products on my roof without telling me and threatened legal action when I called them out on it. They claim to be the “good guys” in solar that are working to change negative stereotypes about their industry. My experience with them has been the opposite, I feel like I’ve been scammed. Don’t make the same mistake I did, there are a lot of better options out there.

As you acknowledged in July, we investigated your claims in depth to find that they were false, and that all communications about our supply issues were very well communicated. Ultimately, we were able to resolve the supply concerns, as you know. You received the REC panels you requested from the beginning, and no "lower quality products" were ever brought into any final installation plans for your project. Thank you.
After agreeing to move forward with installing solar panels, Blue Raven began installation on March 3, 2022 on the wrong section of our roof. We completely understand mistake happen and were fine with their initial response. The staff on site told us that portion of the roof would be replaced by the end of the following week. Between that following week and June 7, 2022, we have been ignored, lied to, misled, mistreated and basically every other unfair customer service practice you can imagine. I have never had to fight for something so hard that a company first admitted it was their mistake and then agreed to correct. I would recommend you never do business with this company. And if you do, I hope you never have a problem and have to speak to anyone at their offices. Just awful.
Where to start? September 27, 2021 sign and pay half of what would be a headache, Today April 12, 2022 the system finally seems to work, if 7 months seems little, my headache was not, a disaster customer service Communication with the client was a disaster, but they made sure that yesterday I received my last bill to pay them, I called by phone no less than 10 times to find out what was happening because nobody was able to tell me what was happening, they even told me that I'm sure it would be installed before the end of the year to be able to have the credit from the government (a lie), a total disappointment, the last person who attended me, (I don't remember his name) didn't even care about the frustration I had, I had to call directly to the electrician to solve the problem, which Watts company had already solved the problem 2 weeks before and Blue Raven still said that they had to solve the problem. A very bad experience and company itself.
When I told them that the inspector from Sandy city had passed and told me that the system was failed, the person from Blue Raven asked me (yes, me) what the city had told me that it was failing when I had paid half of the installation (which are not a few dollars) for me to tell him what the problem was!!! The truth is that I am very disappointed in this company and never again, if possible, will do business with them. Hopefully the system never fails so I don't have to call them.
This has been one of the worst services of all time! Absolute dysfunction! The sales team did a great job getting in the door and selling the product. Once the papers are signed you never hear from them again! They were quick to install panels on my home but nothing else occurred for a very long time. As they were wrapping up the installation, they found the breaker box needed to be updated before proceeding. Negligence on BRS's part when post installation inspection. BRS agreed to pay for the upgrade. BRS shipped all the parts to my home for the breaker panel upgrade. According to the local electrician the parts were all incorrect. The city came by my home and stated the permits for the panels weren't approved yet and the panels needed to come down. This was all supposed to be taken care by BRS.
After weeks and months of calling for a status update on when this panel upgrade would be completed the install occurs 5 months later. This is also after I already started making monthly payments for the solar panel loan which weren't operational. What a joke to make payments on something that isn't operational. I also couldn’t switch over electric companies to obtain credits due to the panels not being operational. Not only due I have solar panels installed but making a loan payment for them along with a full electric bill due to BRS's dysfunction. The excuses I received was "the city is being hard on us." Not my problem! If BRS did their job correctly and well then, these issues wouldn't have occurred. While in conjunction with all this going on I watched my neighbor go through the same hassles. Now I have the breaker panel upgraded and the panels functioning but not able to view the productivity through their Enlighten (Enphase) app.
This issue has now been going on for 3 months without a resolution. A technician comes out the first time and states they need to call the installer. Why in the hell is there a technician coming out to begin with if they can't repair the issue. Never say or heard from the installer. Have called in multiple times over the 3 months and advised that it's "on the schedule." It was scheduled for someone to come out two more times for resolution and both were no shows! What kind of customer service is this!?!? Now being scheduled for a 4th time to see what happens. Issue still not resolved after 7 months!
The referral program incentive is ridiculous! Filled that out over 8 months ago and took them 7 months to cut a check for it. Why would I ever recommend this company to anyone ever again! Not one call from anyone in management to apologize or offer any type of compensation for the extreme hassle, neglect, and utmost lack of unprofessionalism. If anyone is reading this walk away and do not ever do business with BRS. Take the "R" out and you get your real answer. JUST **!
