We recently used Costco travel to purchase a 3-day stay at the Holiday Inn in Oklahoma City (North-Quail Springs). It appeared to be a better rate than the many other hotels nearby. It turns out the wonderful breakfast advertised by Holiday Inn is not included with a Costco reservation. Holiday Inn wanted to charge us $15 a piece for their hotel style breakfast. There was no mention of "breakfast not included" on our reservation email. This eliminates the so-called discount. We could have stayed at another hotel for the same or better price with breakfast included. Double check before using Costco Travel.

I constantly visit this location, pay 120 for membership and do get prescriptions from the pharmacy but the employee Sabrina definitely needs training. She argues with you to protect other customers of her race. I felt so bad. Tears was in my eyes. How I was treated. She thought it was ok for this man to call me names but yelled and screamed at me for defending myself and is still employed! I am slowly removing my prescriptions from there and have never been so humiliated and embarrassed in my life!!

Great return policy - very good prices if you don't mind buying in bulk. Top quality meat and produce. The only drawback is sometimes items are sold out quickly and may not be brought back. A great addition is the new self check out system.

I love above all their sales policies especially their returns policy though I do make a point of returning things I have not opened. And customers service inside the store; there are several cashiers I like very much. I had one issue one time and wrote to the manager. I received an instant response and the matter was taken care of very well. It touched me greatly to see the way he cares so much about customers. I love the food and the deals, as also clothing and other stuff. I spent a lot there, too much. I would recommend it highly even for a single person, because at the end, the savings is so much.

Have an abundance of concerns but the latest is not receiving a $300 Costco card after purchasing 3 cellphones, as pledged. The salesperson immediately told us that we would receive a $300 card and never said anything about trading in any devices as a prerequisite. Costco allows a 3rd party to sell in their stores but takes no responsibility for their commissions. We came to Costco because we thought you could be trusted.

Firstly, I can't email Costco to complain - there is NO EMAIL for customers! Costco sends me US mail that tells me it's time to renew my membership. The problem is I get that mail on February 10th when in fact my membership is good until May 1st. And I don't find out how early I've renewed until after I pay. THIS MAKES ME MAD!!! Send me a bill NO MORE THAN 30 DAYS BEFORE IT IS DUE!!!! I paid another $60 membership not really aware of how long my annual membership still has. This behavior is why I quit quit doing business with some other companies. They are behaving on the shady side of ethical to try to get their customers to sign up for auto renewal.

The prices for the amount that you're forced to buy are not worth it, the storage of the product and the cost of the product are not worth it... When you purchase from a warehouse you would expect to save, but it doesn't seem so...

I love the deals at Costco. I signed up for DirecTV and got a great discount plus perks. Much better than anything from Xfinity. I love the food service area. Sometimes I go there just for that. Giant beef hot dog and a drink for $1.50, Ice cream, Churros, pizza, etc. The Costco gasoline station is my favorite. Always much cheaper than any other stations, and fuel is Tier 3 quality. Great selection of electronics, groceries, and even clothing. Also, their store brand, Kirkland, is excellent. You will find it among the top rankings in Consumer Reports for many types of items.

I was introduced to this company by a friend. I visited this store a few times with her before I became a member. I was intrigued by the many unique items I saw in that store. The store is huge and has a large range of items being sold. The many things they sell changes between visits and some of the items are totally new to me. I've enjoyed the incredible variety of food this store has. Some of the food items have been new to me. They have people giving out samples of food or drinks. Some food I've purchased just to try something new. I've purchased clothing from the store that were sold at a price I could afford. I enjoy taking time to browse the store to look at the flowers, food, furniture, dishes, rugs, towels, clothing, books and a lot more.
I bought some sheets for my bed. They were very different from the cotton sheets I had previously used. I really liked the new sheets better. They were more comfortable. There's also a large area near the pharmacy where there are all kinds of supplements, skin care products and other health and body care products. They often have new things for sale in the store. A good reason to browse. It's rare when I want to return something but when I have there's been no problem with the process. The checkout process takes a reasonable amount of time and often goes pretty fast. The items purchased are put in boxes. That makes easier to get the items to and in the car. There's a discount on the gasoline sold near the stores. There are also parts and such that are discounted.

Regardless of the annual fee, the savings more than offset the cost especially for large families. I find Costco to be a good big box retailer particularly for the purchase of electronics. If you purchase electronics from Costco, they will give you 1 extra year warranty above the warranty that already exists from the manufacturer. This is extra value! The prices are good for the items sold, where you can buy a lot of merchandise for comparatively little dollars. However, the crowds in the store and often long lines at the registers, forcing you to wait a good amount of time to pay and leave the store, is the price you must pay for the volume discount bargains you receive.

The gas at Costco is usually 20 cents per gallon lower than at some of the other gas stations. The lines are longer at Costco but, the patience is worth it. Next, there is absolutely no problem if we want to return any product and there are absolutely no questions asked. Costco offers two years warranty on some or most of the electronic products they sell as opposed to some other stores where there is only one year warranty. Then there is a technical support convenience which Costco provides for all the electronic products it sells.

Installers came with the wrong plug, and wired the plug that they did bring in the wrong way. They left my dryer uninstalled for me to figure out. When a qualified appliance technician saw what they did, he could not believe it. And Costco has zero pathway for registering a complaint about their installer vendors, in this case Innovel. Costco has an ever changing variety of merchandise, largely at bulk prices. The eclectic merchandise is as varied as household snacks, quality jewelry, electronics, groceries, and automotive supplies such as tires and engine oil. Some items aren't regularly in stock, but when they are, the prices are competitive, to say the least. The downside is there is an annual "membership fee", though, depending on the savings of purchases made annually can easily exceed the expense. I've been a member for over 20 years and found the cost of membership easily justified even though we have a small family (now of two plus one dog).

I’ve been a member of Costco for 10 years. I placed an order online for the first time and forgot to but my middle name on the order and they cancelled my order. I called right away as I really need what I ordered for my business and they said there was nothing they could do and it would take 24 to 48 hours for my bank to give me the money back. I was outraged when I called my bank and they said it would take 5 to 7 business days to return the money. I felt lied to by Costco and couldn’t believe that this is what I pay a yearly membership for horrible customer service. All they had to do was add my middle name to process my order and they couldn’t do that. The rest of my information was correct. Looks like once our membership is up we are canceling and trying BJs.

Costco is a great place to shop but lately there are so many who I call them "RED JACKET BOSSES" and less employees who are customer service oriented. Most of the return desk staffs are very rude and make you feel so uncomfortable as if they are doing you a favour. I have had these experiences several times. These experiences do not hold me back from shopping but certainly does make me uncomfortable approaching staff if I do require assistance. I believe CSR training informing the staff to be polite and hold positive attitude and maintain Costco's reputation and failure to do so employees should face disciplinary action and or termination. This policy should be implemented.

Good deals, good quality and good. A negative, it's almost impossible to find a sales associate on the floor when you need one. You either have to walk around in hopes you run into one or go to the front where Cashiers are. If my only option is to go to the front to find out then I've lost interest, you've lost a sale. If I actually do EVER shop at ANY Costco again after today, it will not be the Costco at 3411 St Rose Pkwy, Henderson, NV 89052. I am over 50 years old and this is the hands-down worst treatment I have EVER HAD AT ANY STORE! After dropping $150+ on gas and groceries, the receipt checker did a complete item by item check of my cart. This was incredibly embarrassing. I was a Costco shopper for the past 15 years, I don't think I will be spending ANY money on ANYTHING mildly related to Costco unless this person is fired!
As people passed, I was getting dirty looks, as the implication of counting each and every object in my basket and picking them up and placing a checkmark on my receipt certainly implies. The manager of this store needs to call this 'person' into their office and explain that you don't treat customers like convicts. You have ruined my day. I AM IN THE RED RIGHT NOW. You have no idea just how upset I am!!!!!

On 1/18/20, I went to the Woodstock, GA Costco. Usually, I've found the store like any other and no issues. The problem this time is an employee and the way management decided to handle the situation. While on my way to Costco, an older Accord, followed me onto the highway. Not unusual - drivers around here do NOT use their turn-signals, however, this driver was also tail-gating me. While getting onto the highway, I had my signal on and the Accord crossed the solid lines and went immediately to the left-lane. I was able to get onto the highway and continue.
The Accord was driving erratically. It stayed in the left-lane, tail-gating other vehicles. I exited onto the ramp for Costco and saw the Accord cross 3-lanes of traffic, from the left to the exit lane. It started tail-gating me. I continued, as normal, using my signal and getting to the light to turn left to Costco. The Accord stayed on my bumper, no signal, just impatience. As soon as I turned left, the Accord sped-up and cut me off, crossing other traffic, however, I was already turning into Costco. The Accord could not easily follow, but, it stayed on my bumper. I turned into a parking spot and the Accord continued-on, as-if trying to intimidate me. I figured it was some idiot/jerk.
I finished my shopping and decided to take a look around. Sure enough, the Accord was parked in the employee parking-lot. I could not let this go. I took a picture and went back into Costco to file a complaint to a manager. The manager realized the car was truly in the employee area and was probably one of their employees, just not sure who. I showed the manager the license-plate. Older silver Honda Accord, Bartow cty, **.
The manager went into the store office and came back a few minutes later, stating they were not going to do anything about it, and, if I wanted anything done, I needed to call the police. Oh really? Gee, I know my company strives to ensure we do not act our reputation in any way, especially while on company grounds. Costco, however, seems to NOT have this sense of public responsibility. They have demonstrated they’re only concerned about the bottom-line and not about reputation.
So, this has shown me that Costco does not care about the public, does not care how their employees treat patrons, and, do absolutely nothing to address issues concerning the public. As for contacting the police, I’ve tried that route. The police don’t give a rip unless you have hard-evidence of catching someone in the act. Filing a report after the fact goes nowhere. Heck, it wasn’t even written-up.
IMO, Costco has lost any resemblance of being a caring type of company. This will probably fall on deaf ears at corporate anyways. Just feels good to get off my chest how poorly Costco is in terms of judge of character, hiring practices, and promoting social awareness, primarily, ethics. I stopped going to Sam's & BJs years ago. Since Costco’s representatives have acted in this manner, guess it's time to go back and see what's new.

I contacted customer service and the rep, after all the explanation and said that they will give me a refund by 2-3 business days and then cut the conversation immediately. I went in on the morning of Jan 5th, Sunday, with a small size backpack to get a passport photo. When I came out, the guy asked me to open my backpack. When I refused he said that he needs to call the manager. I thought OK, there must be a misunderstanding. Should be easy to resolve. When the manager confirmed the procedure, it became a surprise to me. I even pointed out to them all the big backpacks the customers had around us. Asked why they don't check everybody's and it never happened before. I feel disrespected and won't do it. They said that it's their procedure, for the respect and safety to their customers. Is this the way they do it? By implying that certain customers steal AND as they are leaving the store instead of entering? They are not ensuring the customers safety. They are ensuring their profits.
If they call 911, I have no problem opening my bag for the police, but they wouldn't do it, because their action and so called "procedure" is not justified. If I go deeper on this issue, I am Chinese. When I got home and talked to my husband, he said that he once left with only a backpack and he was not checked. He is **. I purchased a the refrigerator from Costco on December 2nd. The product was never delivered to me and was lost on doc. Costco and their delivery system kept delaying us with an answer. We did not know when it will be delivered. we did not know if we have enough time to cancel to get another refrigerator before the New Year. I personally went through a lot of hardship from my family side and from XPO (costco delivery). We purchased milk every day for our children and had to throw it away the next day. We had a mess in our house, Wife was upset and my children where complaining. I was forced to buy a used to refrigerate for $500. Eventually after so much hardship we had to cancel our order because the delivery system would not tell us what time and when it will arrive on Christmas Eve!I emailed Costco's representative and asked to cancel this order. I also called a person and asked to cancel my order and refund my money.
Today is January 2nd one month after my order I still don't have my money back. They tell me that when I called someone that was helping me filed the wrong form. If Costco does this to 1000 people that means 1000 times $1400. So, 1.4 million dollars sitting in their account for a month and they don't even lift a finger to help anyone. I feel that this is un-just and someone has to look into this.

The next day another $200 plus dollars was charged, both were Apple Music Gift cards. After yet another call they again assured me it would be fixed and the best thing to do was just cancel my Costco.com Account. After multiple calls, nothing seemed to get done. Every time I called it was like the first time I called, would have to start over again each time. Finally out of ultimate frustration I just just disputed the charges with my bank. So here is my experience with Costco Online with Appliances, worst ever!!!! I purchased a refrigerator from Costco Online on 12/3/2019, delivery was scheduled and confirmed by both Whirlpool and JB Hunt for 12/20/2019 with a delivery window of 2pm-6pm. The day comes and no call, no show, NOTHING!! Mind you, I just moved into a new place and have no refrigerator at all! I call and spoke to a supervisor from JB Hunt (Chris) and all he had to say is that, "There was no reason why your appliance could not be delivered". I then had to call Whirlpool back again to reschedule and the earliest that they can re-deliver was today 12/27/2019, a week later than the original delivery date that they promised.
Delivery for today had a window of 8am-12pm. 10:30am comes and I'm starting to worry as I have not received any calls, so I call Whirlpool which took about 30 minutes on Hold to get an actual person. Come to find out JB Hunt the delivery company canceled my delivery without any warning. By this time I'm done, I've had no refrigerator for the holidays and for a little over a week now. I called Costco to cancel, speak to escalation department which I'm still waiting on a callback. I went to Lowes and had to drop $324 more on a refrigerator that should be delivered Saturday 12/28/2019. I love Costco Wholesale but the manufacturer and the delivery company dropped the ball pretty bad and no one wants to take blame or make it right.
Please Do not buy any large items as their 3rd party companies that they use to process orders and delivery are the worst. Previously I have seen multiple people post about their bad experience that they also had from Costco Online (Large items) but I thought this would not happen to me (crossing fingers). The sad part is that all 3 companies are pointing fingers at each other and not taking responsibility for the headache, trouble and time I've gone through with all these companies on the phone. This has been my worst experience in purchasing from Costco. The END????

We have always had positive experiences with CostCo...but buying a new appliance package from there was an absolute NIGHTMARE. In store knew nothing. Instructed us to call the 800#. 800# also knew nothing about the product or process. Tried twice, rep called techs to ask them my questions. Back and forth for over an hour. Asked the Rep very specific questions about what we needed to have ready...power and water, dishwasher, stove, fridge. We were told all we had to do was disconnect the dishwasher. Took an hour to get this incorrect info.
After delivery was 12 days late, they then missed the delivery window. Delivery man spoke very broken English and everything was a NO. Dishwasher/stove installer was rude and said he could not help us. We were supposed to add a 220 outlet, but CostCo did not tell us that despite our asking. Installer ending up leaving and did NOTHING. Was pissed he had to drive so far.
Fridge was dented and delivery man acted as if somehow this was our fault! Delivery Co offered $200 off fridge. Who wants a $5000 appliance set with a dent?!? Delivery man refused to deliver fridge as DelCo was going to deduct the $200 from his pay. He then said he had to remove the fridge doors due to our door size. We have standard doors, and he could not guarantee they would seal properly after!
Everything (and I mean everything) was awful. Del man left without telling us. DelCo said they don’t have his phone number. What the heck?!? We now have everything but the fridge with no line of sight as to when we get the refrigerator. We also had to pay our local handyman hundreds of dollars for everything they did not do. Lesson is...DON'T BUY APPLIANCES FROM COSTCO!!!!

I was having trouble purchasing online so they had me buy a cash card which was paid with my credit card that I opened up. I opted to change my order and instead get LG washer and dryer since there was only &200 difference. Cancelation could not be done since they had to verify funds blah blah blah, and I had to wait.
I have called customer service 4 times over the last 3 days and the same story. "Wait. Your money should go to same card." "Ooh you will get refund in 7-10 business days." Costco issued "cash cards" for certain purchases. We spend a significant amount of money with Costco travel and have received numerous cash cards. Formerly, the card's name signified its use: I could (and did) go into Costco and exchange the card for cash. Now WITHOUT NOTICE Costco has made the "cash" card a "store credit only" card. You must redeem the card for Costco goods and services. Why is this important?
2. When you go to Costco, you have to use the store credit rather than your Costco Visa card, thus losing the 2% cash back from the card. This benefits Costco as well.
3. If you lose the card, Costco says it can be replaced, but only with considerable difficulty. You must go to a Costco, demand to see a supervisor, explain the circumstances, and hope he or she will replace the card.
3. Costco made these changes without prior notice, which I find unethical.
Costco, when queried for the reasons for this change of policy, gave no satisfactory answer, other than they can do what they please. When I asked to speak with a supervisor, my call was summarily dropped, cutting off any further inquiry.

Costco's response on the BBB, "Costco has credited the member a compensation as Costco understands the member's frustration as verbiage is not clear on site."

I ordered a Samsung TV from www.costco.com (Item 9827500, Model QN82Q7DRAFXZA) on 6/17/2019 (delivered on 6/20/2019). The price was $3499.99 with a 15% Costco cash card rebate if paid with the Costco Visa credit card. I applied for this credit card solely due to this offer and was assured by Costco support that if I received the credit card after the promo had expired they'd honor the rebate. This happened, and I called Costco support which honored the rebate in a slightly altered way by providing me a 15% credit on my Costco Visa card.
On 7/15/2019 I saw the price for everyone--even those not purchasing with a Costco Visa--had dropped to $2999.99. Costco has a price adjustment policy I took a 7/21/2019 screenshot of stating, "Costco.com will gladly issue a credit for the difference between the price you paid and the promotional price, if your purchase was made online at Costco.com and was within 30 days prior to the change in price. Credits are typically issued within 3-5 business days."
On 7/15/2019 I submitted the price adjustment form, confirmation number **. Costco did not contact me, so on 7/21/2019 I spoke to a representative who refused to honor the price adjustment, saying I had already received an adjustment. I disagreed stating these discounts should be treated as distinct events and asked to see where in the price adjustment form there were caveats, of which the agent did not do and kept by the decision to not honor the price adjustment. I warned my next course of action would be a BBB complaint.
On 7/21/2019 I left a review for the TV here https://www.costco.com/Samsung-82%22-Class-(81.5%22-Diag.)-4K-UHD-QLED-LCD-TV.product.100485491.html, stating my TV review feedback followed by a note on Costco's failure to honor their own price adjustment policy. Costco censored my post by preventing it from posting to the site, although when I try to resubmit, it states I have already submitted. Costco did not inform me of their censorship intent.
On 9/2/2019 I submitted a BBB review of Costco's failure to honor their own price adjustment policy, and they called me on 9/3/2019 admitting that while their online price adjustment policy states no exclusions, their senior leadership refused to honor their price adjustment policy. It's utterly disappointing and an absolute 180 from Costco's normal very customer service-oriented culture.

The days following my mother's passing, I had to cancel all credit cards, health insurance etc. I was able to do it all easily and with compassion on the other end of the phone, UNTIL I called Costco. I could not believe my ears, so I tried the chat and even called back to get another person, thinking the last person was wrong. Nope! We have to go into Costco and show that I am the executor of the estate, with my mom's membership info to cancel her membership!! Unbelievable! Even government agencies that require a death certificate, said it can all be done online or email or some other convenient way, not antiquated like Costco. Even cancelling the credit card associated with Costco was an easy phone call, but NOT the Costco membership. Costco should be ashamed of themselves. They were not understanding or even empathetic in any way!! I will write this story until my hands get tired on any site that will let me. It's such a bad policy.

I had a Corporate Costco Visa card, which was on autopay. When I retired, I notified Citibank. Went thru the new application process, received the new card. When I went to log in my autopay info, somehow the checking account ended in 2 versus the correct 5. I received notice of the bank rejection of payment and immediately (same day as notification) contacted customer service. Citibank had the original amount $16, plus 2 more charges of $16, for a total of $48. Citibank said the extra charges Could Not be reversed, period. Thus the late fees.
Past history of being a prompt pay, means nothing. So if you make an honest mistake, Citibank will stick it to you. I will use the Costco Card to get into Costco, but never charge anything with them ever again. I also went off paperless, to force them to mail my statement going forward. I may not get my money back, but they will lose this $32 in postage over the years. I HATE Citibank!!!

I paid for it! Spent time with your salesman, got groceries, wasted a lot of time and money and got no satisfaction. Manager offered to get me new groceries as mine were melting. I said, "No thank you. I can't spend another hour here and I also forgot to pick up my prescription that was getting ready for me to pick up. I will be ending my membership over this." Costco never heard of customer satisfaction. Ps: The manager ran to me in the parking lot saying she found the tablet at Costco West Chase and I should go there!!!! Is she insane? Costco is great with in store service, but beware if you get a service outside the store - they pass the buck and no one will be able to help you correct a situation, especially if it is Costco's mistake. I have been going round and round with them since May on a simple paperwork issue that was entered incorrectly on their end. Credit services refers you back to SOK (special order kiosk = their code for outside vendor/service); who then refers you to Costco Customer service, who then refers you back to Costco Credit (which is actually CitiBank, which they finally disclose because they don't want to get the blame).
Then they say they are escalating it to a manager. Then they say they are re-escalating it, and so on. And "they will call you back". Since May (it is now August 8), I have had 1 callback and it came last night - with no clear resolution. And forget that they put something in writing to you indicating that they are working on it - forget it. Keep good notes. My resolution may be for them to come and remove the HVAC system within the 90 day guarantee. Beware - they don't have their lines of communication open and they are definitely not on the same page.

First, nobody from the resolution department had the courtesy and professionalism to send me an email to introduce themselves and tell me how the item return was going to be handled. I had to call two or three times to follow up and ask for a date a time to have the item pick up for return.
After many calls, it was picked up. But, Costco.com refunded it to the credit card, when I had asked them for a Costco cash card and they had said they will do. Do not lie to the customer, saying you will do something in a certain way, and then change it completely. If you have already agreed to a solution, you should do it that way and keep your word.

I decided to start checking dates and have been diligent - ALL YOUR PRODUCE ITEMS IN THE CORAL SPRINGS COSTCO ARE EXPIRED--SOME MORE THAN 2 WEEKS. This is for the past two weeks. I started looking at all the other items I purchase a bit closer--found them to mostly be on the edge of expiring - Walmart has better product. I am so disappointed. My typical spend each time I go to Costco is in the 200.00 range - last week - under 50.00. The customer service representative rudely asked me to go back and get another one and they will charge the lower unit price. They would not take it back because it was liquor.
If they won't take it back, then they should clearly write next to the price that it is price for two. So no one misses it. This is deceptive marketing and bad customer service. After I wanted to speak with a manager, he came and took it back, then it looked even worst because they have trained their CSRs not to help and push to sell more rather than taking back. Their current flyer has a special on Ketchup but since they only stock the organic version you get 2 for the price of 3. DO NOT BUY Samsung appliances in Costco. A typical life expectancy of a fridge is from 15 to 19 years, with bad luck 9 or 10 years. My Samsung only lasted 3 years and few months. For an average income family, this will be a major expense, and you are on your own with the repairs as you only get one year warranty. If the manufacturer is not able to offer a warranty of at least 5 years, DO NOT buy. Most likely they do not feel confident on their products and that is why they only offer one year warranty. Costco should protect their Canadian customers and stop selling American products if they don't want to offer the same warranty that their US customer get. US customers get 5 years warranty, Canadians only one.

When it got back we didn't use it for a while and thought it was fixed. When we tried it, it was still broken. I contacted Squaretrade and they said they replaced a lot on it so they dont have to warranty it anymore.
I contacted Costco and they said it was still under their warranty and not to worry. They had me do many hours of tech support over the course of over 2 months! During that time many Costco reps repeatedly told me that it was under warranty and that they would take care of it. Finally they agreed it was a hardware issue and that they would get it fixed. They talked to the other department and told me that because Squaretrade had tried to fix it that it voided the warranty with Costco! After 2 months and many calls, and after countless hours of tech support. Now they won't do it! They said there was nothing they could do!
I asked to speak to a manager, and he said the same thing! That it voids the warranty with them if I use the warranty that they suggested I purchase! I told this manager that it was unacceptable, and that they had been wasting my time for over 2 months and told me repeatedly that it was still under warranty. I told him that Costco admitted many times that they would take care of it under warranty, and that they can't just decide now that it isn't. I also told them I would be contacting the Attorney General's office for the State of Washington and taking Costco to court over this travesty!
The manager said they would bump it up to corporate management and to expect a call within 24-48 hours. After a week and a half, I called them because I got no call back, and they said it's still in corporate's hands and they have no info yet. I believe I will have to seek legal representation to get this resolved. I am very disappointed in Costco's handling of this situation.

Just a little background... I have been a Costco member for about 4 years but only in the last year did I upgrade to the executive member. I loved Costco, the products, the discounts, the free samples??? But with it just being my husband and I, there wasn't much need to buy in bulk but this last year we started trying to expand our family and I figured I would purchase enough in baby supplies and with 3 of us after to actually earn rewards.
In May I went in to do my usual shopping and when I handed the cashier my Costco card he threw it back to me on the counter and told me my card expired A WEEK AGO! I was taken back, I felt like his reaction was a little rude for my membership to have just lapsed, I mean I don't shop everyday, more like once every 1-2 weeks, and had not been told my renewal was coming up during my prior shopping trips. I apologized and explained that I had not been warned and asked if I could renew with him. He told me that when the check gets sent out that's usually an indicator that your membership will need renewed and began typing on his cash register.
Now I understood why he seemed so short with me! He must have assumed I received my rewards check. Feeling relieved I explained that I had not received a check. The cashier did not seem understanding and responded with "you'll have to talk with membership services". Maybe he thought I was lying, I'm not sure why he was still acting short with me. As he was typing I anxiously pardoned myself and asked if it would be okay to go back to a regular membership as I had not put away the totaling funds of $120 and with being 8 months pregnant, it would be easier to explain an unplanned $60 purchase to my husband over $120. HE SIGHED! As if I was being an inconvenience and told me to change that I would have to go to membership services.
I could not believe how rude this person was being but just wanted to hurry out because there was a line of people. I'm not sure why I thought it would be a simple question, but I asked if I could purchase my items and then to go to membership services on the way out. He told me he had to get approval from a manager and called one over who said it was okay. After purchasing my items I went to customer service and explained to them that I wanted to renew my membership but wanted to downgrade as I could not afford the executive amount at that time. The lady helping me was very nice, thank goodness because I'm already a sensitive person. But pregnancy makes me blubber like a baby, and I already felt like I was the cause of the cashier's bad day.
As she typed in her computer she explained to me how I had a rewards check that had been sent to me but never cashed. I told her I didn't recall ever getting a check and she offered to have it sent to me again and she would enter a note in the computer that I could wait to purchase my membership until I received it so I could put the check towards the executive membership. She assured me that I would still be able to shop without any issues as long as when I received the check I reissue my membership. "Yes please!" Is what I said after thanking her for turning this awful experience into a better one.
Fast forward to today 6/18/19. I went to Costco 9 months pregnant to stock up before the baby comes. My husband and I walked around for a little over an hour getting diapers, wipes, the Graco car seat I had my eye on, extra waters and food so I wouldn't have to worry about any big shopping being as far along as I am. When we get to the counter I hand the cashier my card and he tells me that my membership is expired. I explain to him my situation and how I have not received my check yet. The cashier apologizes and calls a manager over who takes my card and goes to his computer. My husband stand and wait with a line beginning to form behind us. The cashier asks if it would be okay to ring the other customers up while we are waiting, of course I have no problem with that, I hate people waiting on me.
When the manager returns he tells me that a check was cashed in March (1 month prior to me talking to the membership customer service person). I explain to the manager my confusion and my experience from my previous shopping trip and he shrugs and tells me he can take me to customer service so they can tell me my card is expired and there is no check. I start to get emotional because of hormones and everyone staring at me and tell him I'll just go talk to membership services and get my card renewed. I apologize to both men for the inconvenience I caused and the misunderstanding and ask if it would be okay to buy my baby items before going to membership services on the way out. The manager tells me that I need to renew my membership first.
Being 9 months pregnant, and already walking through the store I was very tired and asked my husband to just take me home. I was so disappointed in the way they handled the situation and am still unclear how I had a check available for me in May and in June it was cashed in March. I felt very disrespected and humiliated and now have to find the time and energy to go somewhere else to stock up on baby items because I will not be shopping at Costco again.

I was contacted by Bill 3 days later (that following Monday) and was told my order was split by FedEx and the fan is basically missing, he told me they can’t replace my fan until 10 days have past after my order was shipped in case FedEx can find my fan. I understood they have a policy, but requested the tracking number, so I could contact FedEx, I didn’t get a response until after I tried contacting Bill 3 times and then finally calling customer service (2 weeks later) and explained my frustration.
That day I was contacted by Chelsey, another rep from the resolution team, she explained they will discuss compensation with me after my replacement is received and she would contact me the next day about the details of my replacement. I was never contacted the next day and have to wait through the weekend again to be contacted!!! Now I am concerned I will not get a replacement, because the fan is no longer listed on Costco’s website and unfortunately was never in any of my local warehouses. I want people to be aware that it would be wise to order fans on different orders, so this doesn’t happen to anyone you!

The online shopping experience I had with Costco was the worst by far I have ever had in my life. 2 to 3 weeks just to process the order and another 2 to 3 weeks to complete the shipping. There is no reason any online goods should take that long to ship. A complete waste of time. I would recommend going into the store to find what you need unless you feels like waiting two months to receive your order.

On Friday I got a Costco email saying it had JUST been shipped and would get here the NEXT Tuesday! In other words it would take a week, like regular shipping. Costco did refund my $60 but now I won’t have the mattress when my guests arrive. A real disappointment in Costco and its service.

I get the customer service agent and I tell him, "I am calling in about an invitation to increase my credit limit without a credit check." He says, "Okay just a minute." Puts me on hold. He comes back on, "Oh yes, I see," he says, "Would you like to do that now." I think I am talking to Diamond Card, turns out I am talking to Costco Citi, credit increased denied, hard credit check. My neighbor told me her Costco Citi card limit got lowered so I am reluctant to file any sort of complaint. Am annoyed that so many of the clothing items they sell seem to be seconds but are not marked as such- but even the major department stores do the same thing. I thought it was illegal to sell seconds without marking them. Staff always seems friendly and informed re store set-up so makes shopping less tiring.

If you intend to buy the Vitamix Venturist V1200 at the Roadshow (like I wanted to for a Mother's Day gift), they don't actually sell the physical unit there. You pay for it and they ship it to you. The Vitamix guy says you will get it in about 2 weeks, then he told me when I pay "they will tell me shipping is up to 6 weeks, but you should get it around 2 weeks." Of course, I would get it in 6 weeks. The only unit they sell is the cheapest model that is available on the website and you can't buy the Venturist V1200 on the website. So that was a huge waste of time and money as I had to drive 40 minutes to the one that is closest that had a roadshow before Mother's Day.

*New Apple Airpods Wireless Headphone with Charger - Latest Model* #1170991 - that was the product description of the item on costco.com. Please do NOT think you are getting both 2nd generation airpods AND charger! Not once did it say in that description that what you are getting is the 1st gen charger! Why would Costco put in the description “charger - latest model” if they did not intent for it to be the 2nd gen (which is the latest model)? The wording “New Apple Airpods Wireless Headphone” already indicates that it is the 2nd gen.
After you received the item and realized that what they sent you is not what was advertised, and contact customer service to rectify the situation - they will NOT do it! Some customer service they have! The rep I spoke with on the phone said the description did not state “wireless” and that was their excuse. However, it did not say “wired” either!! And mind you, after I purchased item online, I called customer service to verify that I will be getting BOTH latest gen airpods and charger, and I was assured that I should be getting them as per description of item. You can go to a small store like CVS or a big one like BJ’s warehouse and if they have an item on the shelf and whatever price is there with that item - they will honor it! Just very disappointed at Costco!

I purchased a portable air conditioning unit from Costco in Middle River on Monday April 22, 2019. On Thursday April 25th, 2019 I finally had the chance to take it upstairs and open it to get it ready for install since the weather was about warm so I wanted to check it out and see what this thing was all about since I got it for a great deal of $324. Once I got the box upstairs I began to undo the box. I took off the 4 plastic ring things that hold the box in place, then I took the sleeve off. It was on so tightly I had to shimmy it off which I thought was great packaging. Once the sleeve was off the only thing left was to take off the hard cardboard that was the frame that held the AC unit in place. I had to pry the pieces off starting at the bottom to have it sitting up right. Then I Pulled off the top piece.
I laid it down to get the plug in cord from under one of the wheels and as soon as I did that 3 huge black looking bugs German hissing cockroaches is what they looked like came running out. They ran in different directions so fast I had no time to react. I couldn't believe what was happening. So I quickly turned it back right side up and called a friend who had just bought the system the same day with me and she came over to help me get any remaining bugs before I lost all control of the situation. Upon further inspection trying to get this bug riddled thing out of my home 2 more were hiding in the cardboard that held all of the parts that go with the machine. They also went running when they were discovered. So beyond screaming, crying I am now losing my mind because I can't believe this happened to me.
I did reach out to my home store and they refunded my money but I feel as though this just isn't enough. I truly don't want to continue shopping in a store where this can happen. My family has spent thousands at this store and I'm truly disappointed. I need to call an exterminator and make sure there aren't any bugs that were able to slip by me. I haven't slept a wink last night because I am terrified and my anxiety is through the roof. I cannot imagine someone else going through what I experienced and I would hope that this is resolved.

Nobody answered the phone number CEVA provided in the email and their customer service line wasn't open, so I contacted Costco who apologized.
Costco admitted they have received numerous complaints about CEVA (1.5 stars on Yelp) and are aware their inability to deliver items is causing problems. Ironically, Costco doesn't use ANY other delivery service in our area, so all they could do is offer a refund. DO NOT purchase any items from Costco if they continue to use SHADY services like CEVA. I absolutely never, ever thought I would be writing a complaint about Costco however, times change. I am a loyal, 20+ year Executive member of Costco Warehouses and have been purchasing a decent volume of office electronics and other supplies using COSTCO.COM. In short, between my wife and myself our Costco membership gets a workout. Here’s my latest experience with COSTCO.COM:
Earlier this morning COSTCO.COM started cancelling my orders without any explanation. I placed my first order today at 11:13 AM Pacific for a laptop. At 12:27 PM I received an email from no-reply@costco.com stating “Order Cancelled.” There was no explanation included and no request for a callback. Nothing. Hmmm, I thought maybe something in their system got corrupted so I placed a new order for the same item at 1:58 PM. At 3:25 PM I received another cryptic email from no-reply@costco.com stating “Order Cancelled.”
At this point I am frustrated so I called COSTCO.COM Customer Service. OMG, was I disappointed? Customer Service used to be Costco’s flagship service. To say that my experience left a lot to be desired would be very generous. I spent the next hour or so on the phone first with the CSR then with her Supervisor and all that they could share with me was that their “Order Support Team” needed additional information such as my DoB, address, etc.
By now, I am REALLY frustrated. Not only because I had to reach out to them and spend close to 3 hrs of my time, but also because had their Order Support Team bothered to look in my account history they would have seen that I had placed an order for the same item a week ago, shipped and delivered to the same address and was paid for using the same CC without any problems.
All in all, once I provided the additional information “they were able to process the order.” Using the same information that I provided on all three orders today and on the order from last week. Lastly, they were unable, or unwilling, to tell me what caused my order cancellations. WAY TO GO COSTCO.COM. P.S. I know that our membership purchasing history is imperceptible on Costco’s P&L however…

We order 12 Lifetime tables with a cart from Costco. Order said it would be delivered within 10-15 days. It arrived over 30 days later and a lot of frustration in between. The first delivery company called to schedule delivery. After waiting all day they no showed, then called to rescheduled second time - no show. Then after a day they say order was damaged but would deliver then after no delivery they said they lost order. Costco said they would reorder. Go through waiting process again. The company calls scheduled delivery, make arrangements, delivery truck arrives with only the cart. He says that's it "no" tables. Call Costco and after another week of going back and forth they say, "Oh it looks like the vendor never sent the shipment so we will ask them to send out."
Another week or so finally the shipment arrives. Again this is after between 8 - 10 hours of being on phone with Costco and over 30 days of awaiting for delivery. Costco says, "Ok sorry for your inconvenience but the BEST we can do for you is give you a 10% discount." That was after they originally wanted to give like a 7% discount so they were really advancing their consideration to give 10%. Well, bottom line it was a HUGE HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT the way the whole order was processed, was handled and if you need to place an order for something you need timely I strongly urge you NOT TO ORDER FROM COSTCO BECAUSE YOU WILL ALSO BE GREATLY DISAPPOINTED.

The estimate came to much more than I had anticipated so decided to think it over and proceeded to leave. At that time the Dentist I was in the care of was actually walking in and I explained to him my disappointment with the bid and he said, "We would review it again at my next appt," the next time I went in we decided to take the original 6 Implants down to 3 so I was given that Estimate and agreed it was fair.
Today I went in to have 2 of the 3 Abutment post put in so I could have the teeth put in 3 weeks from now only to find out that they want another nearly 5 THOUSAND MORE DOLLARS for the actual teeth which were on my original estimate but clearly was not explained that way (classic Bait and Switch) and I would know more about that tactic than the average Consumer after spending 25+ years in the Automotive Industry (15 of those years in Executive Management) so COSTCO you have really dropped the ball on this one and I believe there is way more unhappy Customers than just me.

Costco has been a favorite for over 20 years. The chain does save me money and I use a lot of their store branded products with success. There is money to be saved by sticking with the Kirkland brand of many available products.

The annual membership cost does not equal the the price of items nor shopping there for a single person. Although there have been some buys online, the time needed for going to the nearest Costco store and the cost for bringing the items home via taxi or car service negates any price advantage. In addition, the local Costco store does not have wine and is not in a good shopping mall.

The products are generally good quality at a fair price. Products are easy to find/see and place in cart. The layout has wide aisles and the checkouts are quick/efficient conducive to large crowds.

Two weeks ago we went in the store from Biscayne Boulevard in Miami. At the entrance we were stop for a very rude and unfriendly worker and he didn’t let us coming inside because we have our Chihuahua dog with us. We have a emotional support dog letter identification with all the information that they need. He didn’t bother to take time to explain the reason. We ask for the manager then he came and show us the notice that they have. They only accept services dogs. They don’t even consider the emotional support dogs. This is a very bad experience that me and my wife have shame on you. Costco we use to buy our groceries all the time. We don’t recommend this place at all. My wife still have that flashing on her mind.
