Best store for quality, price and service.... Never have returned anything. Now if they'd only get rid of their membership fee. But despite the membership fee I love this store. I like the fact that no matter what state I visit a Costco store is usually there and the same high standards exist.

I love that Costco actually pays their employees a living wage, they have cheaper prices than other stores on things I want to buy, especially on their dog food (which is good quality and our dogs love) and the savings on that more than pays for our membership. The only thing I would like is if they would have someone there who would be able to load my purchases into my car since it's becoming harder for me to lift really heavy things (like big bags of dog food) myself as I age.

Costco is a great store to buy in bulk for even the individual. They have a wide range of products from food to seasonal items at discounted pricing. If you are a business your hours are extended to accommodate just business partners. Generally their gas is discounted, but waiting lines can be tedious. Their mini food court has pizza by the slice or whole pizza, yogurts and hot dogs and drinks. Pricing is great for moms with kids who are always looking for food.

Best prices, best warranty. If they were closer, I would shop there all of the time. As it is, I shop there as often as I can. Their own brands are usually better than any national brands, and the prices are always outstanding.

Costco recently opened here. We took a tour and compared prices and quantities. The prices were no better than Fareway, Walmart or Hy-Vee. Plus they want you to apply for a credit card to be a member. It's not for us!

Costco has bridged the gap between warehouse store and high end purveyor of particular items. Two that our family enjoy are the Jamon Serrano leg which, even at its most inexpensive (@ $300) is a treat that is seldom found in other box stores and a broad selection of import cheeses that are seldom/never featured in the discount stores like Walmart and Target.

Usually find what I need. However they’ve been skimping on the size of their Charmin TP rolls. They have shrunk nearly a 1/2” in width. Keep shrinking the size of rolls, and they will start issuing a piece of string. Note: they rejected an identical review and refused to publish it. They must not want to hear the truth.

My local Costco has excellent customer service. On my last visit there, I was looking for 4 items that I couldn’t find. I asked at the front desk if the items were in stock and 3 of them were. The Customer Service person then called another person to come and take me to find each item that I has asked about. Apparently there has been some rearranging done at the store. Many stores would have told me the aisle numbers to go look in and sent me only. The person who helped me find my items was very pleasant and didn’t make me feel like an imposition.

The timing of shopping at Costco is valuable if you want to avoid the heavy traffic. Check-out can be time consuming when the store is very busy. I like the addition of the wine department and fresh seafood departments.

I go to Costco a lot. Only thing I don’t like is that they don’t always have the same things I’m used to buying there. Ex- soft scrub. Otherwise, I buy my Kosher meat there. If we have a question the staff is very helpful.

I like Costco very much. They have many products that are hard to get elsewhere and prices are usually good. The size is sometimes a problem and there are some items I would buy there if offered in a smaller amount. Easy to deal with normally. The one thing I think they could improve on is marketing decisions to cancel items that are a good seller. For example I used to buy all of our ** at Costco, but they discontinued their Kirkland brand, I now buy that item elsewhere.
Reviewed March 23, 2019
Some of the items are not available the next time I'm at Costco. I wish they would tell when the item will no longer available or that is being discontinued. Still like a hot dog now and then but bring back the Polish.

I thought that I could trust in Costco to (as they advertise) look out for my best interest, boy was I wrong. In July of 2018 I purchased Delta Dental insurance from their website and then opted to use Bright Now Dental (BIG MISTAKE) in Murrieta CA on Cal Oaks which I must say they initially treated me what I perceived as fair. I needed major work done (9 Crowns + 3 Implants that I needed) so long story short they sent down the team separate from their location to examine my request of what I wanted worked on.
The estimate came to much more than I had anticipated so decided to think it over and proceeded to leave. At that time the Dentist I was in the care of was actually walking in and I explained to him my disappointment with the bid and he said, "We would review it again at my next appt," the next time I went in we decided to take the original 6 Implants down to 3 so I was given that Estimate and agreed it was fair.
Today I went in to have 2 of the 3 Abutment post put in so I could have the teeth put in 3 weeks from now only to find out that they want another nearly 5 THOUSAND MORE DOLLARS for the actual teeth which were on my original estimate but clearly was not explained that way (classic Bait and Switch) and I would know more about that tactic than the average Consumer after spending 25+ years in the Automotive Industry (15 of those years in Executive Management) so COSTCO you have really dropped the ball on this one and I believe there is way more unhappy Customers than just me.

We usually find what we are looking for at Costco and at a fair price. There are several items we only buy at Costco. Their price is not always the lowest but the quality is always very high. Parking can be a problem and often there are not sufficient checkouts open to handle the number of people.

I always loved Costco and they have great customer service. I find myself shopping less there because they tend to now carry many organic products... which equates to higher prices. It seems they want to be a 'Whole Foods' warehousing shopping experience. Not everyone is into that.

Well it all started With me wanting to use two different methods of payment. I told the cashier I wanted 7 item in one card and the rest on the other because I was only able to spend a specific amount and she instead charged half of the amount on one card and half on the other when I had specifically said only this items on the card. I let it go but today when I try paying with two methods of payment I was told I wasn't able to. That I can only get a subtotal and not two separate transactions. Not only was I told that, but the way the cashier was talking to me was just rude. I understand that they have long day and dealing with customers is not always pleasant, but it's your job actless be nice about it. There's no need to be rude. Especially if the customer is not being rude.

Costco is such an easy way to grocery shop, especially if you still have children. There are great prices for dog food or snacks but cat food is one size fits all. I wish they would add more checkers. I live in a desert town and if it’s any day, except weekdays in the am I get crushed by all the people. Those carts don’t have breaks on them. Overall the prices are usually good. Stay away from the Jewelry area! They are way expensive.

The annual membership cost does not equal the the price of items nor shopping there for a single person. Although there have been some buys online, the time needed for going to the nearest Costco store and the cost for bringing the items home via taxi or car service negates any price advantage. In addition, the local Costco store does not have wine and is not in a good shopping mall.

The shopping experience at Costco is completely wonderful. The inventory hardly ever is in question, with the exception of blueberries during the prime months. The quality and variety of all products is just about so interesting that you may just get something you need but not expect to find. The prices are way beyond reasonable and cannot be compared to even some of the online giants. You have to just avoid buying too much bulk when there is a minimal amount of people in the household.

Costco is the best place to buy groceries. I have bought the finest cuts of meat for special occasions, steaks that can be cut with a fork. But their other meat can be purchased at economy prices, that is still a cut above. Their fruit is right off the trees, fresh picked, colourful and crisp. Baked goods that are a meal in themselves, fresh and sweet, sandwich bread and breakfast treats. Cakes off the shelf or they will make it for you. Sections comprised of cheeses and tortillas, hams and fish. And all of this while eating and drinking free samples. Costco groceries can't be beat. And that is only the food section, they have a section for day goods of all kinds, books and jewellery, household goods and toys. See you there.

Costco is a customer service oriented store, they have specific product lines, great pricing, quality is of utmost concern for their SKUs and have an easy, guaranteed return policy. They are beginning to carry a lot more organic products, their meats are the best quality. You can easily shop for major items on their website. I've been a Costco customer for many years and as they expand their product lines, make deals with local vendors to supply Costco negotiated pricing on things like vacation and auto, I am grateful for my Costco membership. I've felt discriminated or treated like a second-class citizen. Today was the worst so far. The teller was rude during check out. Her demeanor changed from socially welcoming towards the previous customer. To just plain RUDE! She mishandled my cereal into the cart. The only words that came out of her mouth was the total, I felt rushed and unwelcomed. Another discriminatory example would be "sample people" who never make eye contact or ask if I would like to try a sample. On Valentine’s day the seafood assistant suggested I purchase "Frozen shrimp because this particular one is very expensive.”!
Seriously I've spent about 1000.00 or more in the past 60 days. To assume someone CAN NOT afford something due to culture or color is RUDE. It's just this location, I've had great service at other locations. I'm feed up with the discrimination here. I feel something needs to be done. Maybe a warehouse meeting about treating everyone the same, regardless of culture and color. I have been enjoying my Costco experience so far. Most employees have been rather polite to be around. Except for a couple deli employees that decided to talk in unprofessional street slang with a dab of cussing using suburban slang to insult half of the people they called friends. Otherwise I have found most workers to be pleasant and professional.
I enjoy purchasing items in bulk sizes. This has really cut down on my grocery bill because I'm not purchasing these items as much at a traditional grocery store. Kirkland brand is hit or miss on quality compared to other stores. They don't sell everything and their prices are not all that great. Could you please give us a genetic store map of where items are? I'm learning the stores by wandering up and down each aisle until I stumble across what I need. I'd like to purchase more but often can't find it. I cannot get out of Costco for less than $200 even if I budget my self to 6-10 items. They rotate product so much it's difficult to find it.
Produce is excellent. The only downside is you have to purchase a large amount of it and it all ripens at once. You have 2-3 days to scarf it down or toss it out. Otherwise their product quality is fairly decent. Despite the massive crowds I found I tend to wait no less than five minutes in line. Some cashiers slow down and allow the customer to pay at their own pace. While others speed you through. Once I couldn't finish writing the check before I realized I was heading out the door.
Parking lot in the Tukwila, WA location is a terrible design. You have panhandlers and homeless at every in/out entrance. Drivers forget to yield to pedestrians and forget to look for them when they drive. Drivers often do more than the 10 mph limit for a parking lot. Could we please have more stop signs and speed bumps to slow these inconsiderate driers down?

Costco can be a good place to shop and a bad one. Things you buy a lot of can disappear overnight never to return, stores across the nation and even across a state carry too many different things (little conformity) and the lines to check out can be horrible and they will not open a '10 items or less' line. Employees are hit and miss for service, some smile and many do not. They don't like helping you load chairs or large heavier items, etc but they are happy to sell you those items. The big bulk items are often too much for small households, especially if you lack storage. They never stock enough of the fun seasonal items. Their rotisserie chicken is the best on the planet though!

When I first join Costco I was overwhelmed by the size. However, I have found great value on a regular basis so I keep coming back. It is amazing how quickly Checkout goes even at high traffic times. The one concern is that at times they drop products with little or no warning. If it's not the house brand (Kirkland) you never know how long they will have the product. This has happened only once or twice so I am not very worried about it. The Kirkland brand is also high quality.

Please keep in mind there was no customers at the customer service department besides my parents and me. I finally walk up to her and greet her "Hello, my father wants to renew his Costco card and I also want to apply for a Costco card.” Her response was "This is only for rich people and it's $60 dollars for a membership."
I then proceed with the process and paid $60.00. I look around and other employees didn't even say anything regarding her behaviors toward my parents and me. The delivery team is rushing to leave you after drop of my dishwasher and try to leave within 2 minutes, when I told them about haul away my old unit, they said is it unplug and ready. I told them yes, they asked me how do I know? Now came the installer, he spent less than 5 minutes, looking under sink and told me couple things need to be replace and cost $180, if not he won't install it. Before he left he told me that it is very simple if my husband is a handyman he can do it and he wanted to charge me $180???
So now the dishwasher is in the middle of my kitchen uninstalled. I contacted Costco 3 times and each time they just said they are sorry and they can't control how much installer wants to charge. Costco transferred me to installation company to resolve issue with them. Installation company doesn't care as I am not their customer. They are contractor with Costco. And so they told me if I don't like them I hire my own installer and ask Costco to reimburse, I then contacted Costco again, they told me no that is my cost, Costco will no reimburse me for that.
After 3 calls to Costco customer service and 2 calls to installation company wasting and frustrated 6 hours, I requested to return the product, after 5 days I still haven't heard anything from Costco. I called them again Costco told me, it takes 3 weeks for the same company that delivered to me will contact me to pick up the return. I tried to leave the review so other can aware of the problem with the contractor that they work with. Anyone who takes the time to review the online service will note that these type of problems are a common occurrence - COSTCO's or their Vendor's or Shipper's record-keeping quality must be very poor. After being promised a full refund on three separate occasions (via telephone customer service department), I only received a partial refund of $15. I was outright lied to just to get me off the phone and each time the balance of the refund never posted to my credit card.
I understand the MoviePass's problems are not Costco's fault. However, that's why I chose to purchase from a trusted source, where I had an executive membership. On my purchase order, and explicitly in the terms of my agreement with Costco, it states that I can purchase with confidence and that I'm covered by a 100% risk-free guarantee on merchandise and services. There are certain exclusions, such as electronics, but these do not apply to the MoviePass service.
I get it, Costco got shafted because MoviePass totally lied about their service and a bunch of customers lined up for refunds. I'm one of them. Except, I came later in the process where Costco decided to try and recoup their losses by making up lame reasons why they can't give me a refund (such as "Our policy changed"). Sure, your internal policy may have changed but there is no public record of that. If Costco is selectively applying their guarantee policy, it should be re-branded: "Beware when you shop with us because our policy is 100% risk-free...except when we change our minds..." I generally have had good experience with Costco and I don't abuse the policy. I've seen people return one apple. That's not me.

But she made it clear and I asked her more than once that it'd be a cashcard sent in the mail. It was all clear because it was an amazing deal that I wanted to be sure it was amazing because it paid for the membership. I didnt mistake anything, neither did my husband standing next to me.
The keywords that emphasize the hustle are TODAY only, I had to sign up and get approved now for the card. Anyways I got sent A ten dollar card. My husband thought theyd just send more. I'm not into getting folks in trouble at work especially if it was a misunderstanding, but it was no misunderstanding. I dont know what that lady gets for upsales if anything. And Who knows if the sales folks are pressured into upsales but I do not like being blatanly lied to. It's even more annoying cause the lady was so nice. I'm completely turned off by this company. Our local Sam’s Club closed so we decided to try out Costco. It’s definitely not all it’s cracked up to be - to say the least. Many of their products are low quality with a somewhat high price tag. The membership costs 15 more per year than Sam's Club. There are no aisle labels whatsoever. There are aisle numbers, but no description of what is in each aisle. My guess is they eliminate aisle descriptions so that you have to wander around the store to find what you’re looking for (and therefore spend more $$$).
They have a non-transferable policy and they enforce it. Do not try to use someone else’s card - even if they are a family member or you live in the same house. I made that mistake once. Tried to use my grandma’s card (she had just had surgery so she stayed home). The way the employee acted you woulda thought I was stealing! The employee made a mountain out of a molehill for sure. I explained why I was using her card and she wasn’t having any of it. Rude! To top it off, I only had 1 item...not a cart full. I get why the policy is there, but it seems a little silly that people in the same household (with the same address on their driver’s license) can’t use the same card. Very disappointed. Will now be making a little trip (about 20 minutes) to go to the Sam’s Club on the other side of town.

Costco has been my favorite store until today. I found out, in a very humiliating way, that Costco clerks write comments about customers who return products. I found out I had return produce after the "Best used by" date, and had negative comments on my profile. I found out that every time you return (not sure if you buy as well) something, these comments pop up, no matter what store or city or even state you are, and these comments follow you for the rest of your life with Costco. How humiliating, and what a good way to lose your customers, Costco! Remember, Costco is a shop that takes pride on their return policy, but some overzealous employees are using these comments as they wish.
I have had a couple of spats with a couple of returning clerks, who wanted to give me their "2 cents" on how to avoid returning, and this is their revenge against me. Only because there is a personality mismatch, or a bad chemistry, or a bad vibe with a certain employee, you get stuck with these comments, just because they can!!! It reminded me of Elaine Benes' doctor chart from Seinfeld, besides that this is not funny, but very humiliating indeed! I was appalled today when I returned an item and after that, I skipped shopping at Costco today. Just to think that I gave them over $120K worth of business in 2017 (I have not seen my 2018 report as of yet)!!! What a way to lose a customer - still shocked! Costco has always been my favorite store - until October of 2018. I ordered a refrigerator online and had the worst experience ever - took two months to resolve because of bad information given to me by the concierge service. In the end, I spent 26 hours and an additional $1,200 to resolve this. I thought it may be a fluke, so I ordered 2 photo throws for family this past Christmas. I placed the order on Dec. 14th and one of the throws were delivered on Dec. 18th. I wasn't certain of what had happened so I called Costco. There I was treated rudely by someone from India (I think). All she would say is the other one is on the way and would arrive by Christmas.
Not satisfied that she understood what had happened, I called Pure Country Weavers since they delivered the first one. They told me that Costco screwed up and sent an order for only one the first time. They told me Costco caught the mistake and send the 2nd order. They also told me that it would come before Christmas. It didn't. After Christmas, I called Costco and demanded a refund. They asked me to jump through several hoops and this infuriated me. What happened to the Costco I used to know?

If I could put zero stars, I would. I called Costco and told them that my mom was very ill and was not able to go to the store to get food for my family. So, I asked if I could use her membership because she is not able to get out of bed and they said no. So because of them, I was super inconvenienced and had to go all over to get everything my family needed. Extremely disappointed in how inconsiderate the man on the phone was towards my situation. Any thought of getting a Costco membership in the future is now gone, and now my mom will be canceling her membership as well. Overall super disappointed.

I’ve been purchasing Costco bacon for a while now. The “thick sliced center cut hickory smoked bacon (made from European pork belly)" to be exact. I always enjoyed how thick and tasty it was but the last two times it has been abnormally salted, literally inedible. My husband and I are both on the Keto diet so we eat loads of bacon, but this time around it was difficult to swallow it or even mix it with anything else. Not to mention, it was mostly All fat!! I am quite disappointed. I wanted to write to the company but only phone number listed is to Costco in general. Will not be buying this again. Beware if you have sodium intake concerns.

I find Costco prices to be excellent although they do slip up on some products but are usually very competitive. Their return policy is amazing. Almost too good with customer returning products that have been obviously well used and there are no questions asked. This irritates me at times because I feel Costco is being taken advantage of but apparently the supplier of the product is the one who losses out in the long run not Costco. That's how Costco keeps their prices so competitive.

I purchased 3000$ furniture via Costco online on Nov 14th 2018. Till date (Jan 1st, 2019), Costco cannot give me a definite date as to when the furniture will arrive. The Costco reps for the most part are friendly and apologetic. They all give me a standard answer that a "supervisor" from the escalation department should be calling me. No such calls. In the meantime, a nasty review I wrote about this unpleasant buying experience was "moderated" by Costco and rejected since they feel they are not responsible for delivery delays. Hello? You are the ones in charge of taking the order AND shipping it out to the customer. Off-late, customer service at Costco is going down the drain. I have been a Costco member for 20+ years. I will be taking my business to either BJ’s or Sam’s shortly.

My friend thought she was doing me a favor by picking up a twelve pack of Kirkland paper towels at Costco for me. Kirkland is supposed to care about quality and only sell the best products. Well if they care so much why does every roll of the paper towel pack smell like turpentine! It is disgusting. Pick one up and sniff it if you don't believe me. It's shocking.

I read many things on Costco and on their name brand, Kirkland. Love their steaks and meat department and special they have. Was a member of BJ, except it is companies brand and just not into cutting coupon out. Sam's Club, only one time a member.

When their specials prices go up on certain special items not all locations have same price. They keep going and going up with prices and they keep moving items around the store so they make hard to find. But since they said we go to them they don't care.

First let's talk about the trouble with parking, they lay out the parking lot to be the most difficult. The prices are not a great value even though the size of the items are much larger than you need. To check out will require you to bring a book to read. Extreme long lines and people with cats overflowing.

Online shopping - The representative was extremely rude and asking personal questions that did not pertain to the matter at hand. She was not helpful, and she did not act in a manner that a representative should. I have been a loyal customer of Costco since 2004 actually an executive member but was treated like a number that no one cared about. I will not be their customer anymore. They failed at customer service!

My daughter added me to her membership since she just graduated college and was moving back home. She told me this was done and we would finalize it when her move was complete. Until then she gave me her card to use until I could officially get my own. Wowie— call the National Guard, 911, Air Marshall, Attorney General... you would have thought I committed a Federal crime. I have never been treated so badly or humiliated by anyone like they did... making a huge spectacle of the situation. I have worked retail for almost 20 years and never would I dream of treating anyone like they do... Honestly their membership is not all that and I would NEVER become a member now. So in closing — SO GLAD I HAVE A SAM'S CLUB. :)

I like both quantity and prices. Even home appliances are more of a savings than Target or home goods. There are so many great brands at lower prices than Ross or Marshalls. Give it a try. I'm not kidding.

On December 28th at 10:30am, Costco had a dishwasher delivered that the delivers drivers broke upon arrival when they dropped another dishwasher on top of it. They said they couldn't do anything and that we needed to call Costco. They asked if we wanted to keep the broken dishwasher. Of course we declined for we paid for one that wasn't broken. After two hours worth of phone calls, they said they could deliver one in 6-8 weeks with a $50 refund or refund the purchase. After waiting three weeks for the dishwasher in the first place, two hours on the phone, taking time off work for the delivery (since you can't schedule it), and a migraine later, they said their delivery service was not their problem. Let me tell you, NEVER buy ANY appliance from Costco. You are way better off going to Home Depot or Lowe's. Never again will I buy from Costco.

Every article of clothing we buy from Costco has a strong oily/mildewy odor and is almost impossible to eliminate. We’re at the point now of only buying gas there since discount clothing is useless when it smells so bad.

Costco is amazing. The only issue I have is the long lines to pay for less than 10 items. I enjoy the different items they have available. They do require a directory or perhaps better signage as to what the aisle has available.

Definitely worth it if you are after bulk items as single items cannot be purchased. Instore cooking demos are always hard to resist... As are the delicious fresh bakery items made on site. Always an easy process here but an expensive one as the temptation is real with all that’s on for offer!

Having been a Costco customer since the '90s, I have noticed many changes over the last several years. I'm still a card holder. Though I have downgraded my membership due to the reality that I no longer spend as much as I use to. The ROI on the added membership fees compared to rebates no longer make sense. There are still items I only buy from Costco. However, the largest percentage of my past Costco purchases longer make sense. The food, both on the shelf and at the front food court has degraded in quality to point of being unpalatable or just a bad value.
The ready-made pies can be purchased for the same price, while delivering a far superior product, elsewhere. The ready to eat products have so much sugar and salt that they are now disagreeable to my tastes. The shrimp salad, a past favorite, now comes with shrimp that has the tails on. Who wants to pick out shrimp scales? The pizza just tastes weird. The gasoline is rarely cheaper than others in the area. That all having been said, the cashiers are still great and the return policy can't be beat. Online Costco shopping is like going back in time. Finally, my beloved food court hot dog is now so filled with salt and who-knows-what that it burns my mouth. Makes me feel as if I have been poisoned.

I am a long time Costco cheerleader -- until recently. We live a long distance from our nearest Costco, spending $400-600 each time we make the journey. We checked out normally at Norfolk, VA, but were stopped at door by very eager Indian lady that went through every item in our very full cart item by item. My wife can't stand for a long time but the lady kept going over our receipt again and again. Eventually she figured out that the Costco scanning associate had missed a jug of detergent. Holy Smoke, call the police. I tossed the detergent aside and departed with her yelling "It is not personal, it is not personal!" Never going back. We have a Sam's Club a little closer and they have self-checkout so we don't accidentally leave without paying for an item -- we go over our purchases many times to make sure nothing is missed.

I remember the days before Costco where stores gouged us. After they arrived somehow prices could be cut in half and matched. The value of the pharmacy and loyalty dollars makes it a great value. Always timely specials, seasonal values and unusual items make shopping interesting.

We really love the variety and the prices at Costco. They have the best quality of merchandise as well. The return policy is also really good. I get all my prescriptions there as well since my insurance isn’t that great; there is no better price for scripts.
