I do my big shopping at Costco monthly. I most like the fact that I only have to go once a month because of the idea of "bulk shopping". The prices are also a big draw for me. The store has a variety of options to choose from. The meat is of good quality, I have even bought clothes there for my family. I also love to go to the different vendors present in the aisles to sample their wares. Yum! Now can you please put a store closer to Morganton N.C. I drive over an hour and a half to shop at the nearest Costco.

Their yearly cost of membership is too high for the value you receive. Again this is just a larger warehouse of products. They offer the same products as their competitors. I would hope Costco and Sam's would benefit from dropping their membership fee or reducing it by payback usage.

Costco is the best place to buy groceries. I have bought the finest cuts of meat for special occasions, steaks that can be cut with a fork. But their other meat can be purchased at economy prices, that is still a cut above. Their fruit is right off the trees, fresh picked, colourful and crisp. Baked goods that are a meal in themselves, fresh and sweet, sandwich bread and breakfast treats. Cakes off the shelf or they will make it for you. Sections comprised of cheeses and tortillas, hams and fish. And all of this while eating and drinking free samples. Costco groceries can't be beat. And that is only the food section, they have a section for day goods of all kinds, books and jewellery, household goods and toys. See you there.

Easy to get to. Easy parking with large spaces between vehicles. Gasoline prices are typically 20 cents a gallon than the rest of the gas stations. Lots of handicapped parking. Great prices. Nice people. Great food court. Employees extremely friendly and helpful.

Costco is a customer service oriented store, they have specific product lines, great pricing, quality is of utmost concern for their SKUs and have an easy, guaranteed return policy. They are beginning to carry a lot more organic products, their meats are the best quality. You can easily shop for major items on their website. I've been a Costco customer for many years and as they expand their product lines, make deals with local vendors to supply Costco negotiated pricing on things like vacation and auto, I am grateful for my Costco membership. Quality of product and customer service guarantee are driving factors in the way they do business.

Pros: excellent return policy, excellent customer service, big choice of high-quality products, lower than anywhere prices, lower gas prices. I do about 90$ of my groceries at Costco. Also, I often buy at Costco toys, kids educational resources, clothing, kitchen utensils. I have never had any negative experience with Costco during the last nine years of having Costco membership.

I shop at Costco all time and eat there. Love it. Went to Costco Edmonton Airport today. First time had the worst pizza of my life. No ham, just a bit 4 pieces of pineapple on end of it, cheese small amount and so well done was hard like cardboard. Maybe some foreigner that don’t know what pizza is.

It's hard to find someone when you need them, which is not very often, but still. Sometimes I feel employees have an attitude. Is like I am not always treated as I would like to be.

Costco prices are high on multi packs of same item so individuals don't normally shop there. For families the end cost is large for food for typical shopping trip BUT I don't find a need to go more than once a month. For that, Costco is A+++ to shop in.

The biggest change I noticed in Costco at 1800 Sample Rd. Pompano Fl; Men’s Clothings’ quality is third grade, specialty Pants. They used to be famous brands & from Italy. Now their low grade pants are actually prepared for Costco to sell at low price. It started few years back. I don’t buy them anymore. Bakery has chafed their quality ingredients too. No Sour Dough bread. Arugula Danishes taste awful. Ingredients disappeared, and made by some cheap Oil. I don’t buy them anymore. Fruits are of lower quality as well. Very disappointed. Complaining doesn’t go anywhere! Waste of time. I’m going to change my Executive membership to regular!

Costco is certainly worth the savings, especially for vitamins and other over the counter meds. I wish, though they would have a map of where items can be found. It is hard to have to go up and down the huge aisles to find things, especially when they change where to find things.

The long lines, crowds and limited parking make shopping there very nerve racking. This makes the shoppers rude and careless. The receipt checking at the door also seems unnecessary and could be avoided.

The cashier Told me that my membership was expired Um said I had to pay a $120 to Reno. The kind lady behind me offer to use her card so I may purchase my items because I was not going to renew with Costco. The cashier said that is not possible. We have to use our own card but the lady behind us said that does not make any sense because I'm standing right here and I'm authorizing them to use it and he refused to let her use her card. Very unsatisfied with Costco's Customer Service. I will NEVER GO THERE AGAIN! And will tell everyone I know They suck.

I've felt discriminated or treated like a second-class citizen. Today was the worst so far. The teller was rude during check out. Her demeanor changed from socially welcoming towards the previous customer. To just plain RUDE! She mishandled my cereal into the cart. The only words that came out of her mouth was the total, I felt rushed and unwelcomed. Another discriminatory example would be "sample people" who never make eye contact or ask if I would like to try a sample. On Valentine’s day the seafood assistant suggested I purchase "Frozen shrimp because this particular one is very expensive.”!
Seriously I've spent about 1000.00 or more in the past 60 days. To assume someone CAN NOT afford something due to culture or color is RUDE. It's just this location, I've had great service at other locations. I'm feed up with the discrimination here. I feel something needs to be done. Maybe a warehouse meeting about treating everyone the same, regardless of culture and color. Because if you're ** or ** this is the service, you'll receive, I'm not the only person to say this about this location.

I paid my annual membership fee on 10 of 2019 in Costco Avon, MA. Membership desk charged me $60 that day. Unfortunately, my membership still expired. Costco online agent denied my transactions, said there is no $60 received by Costco on Feb. 10 from my credit card. I contacted my bank agent, which is Costco Citi Anywhere Credit Card, who told me from the Citibank system, there is a $60 transaction. If Citi can see it, then Costco must see it, because they are using the same system.
I went to a Costco warehouse, the agent there said they cannot help me with my membership issue, because I purchased in Costco Avon but not Costco Everet, MA. They gave me a one-time exception to buy things in Costco that day. And the cashier feels very impatient when I checked my stuff. A long story, no one can tell me where's my money going. I will keep tracking my $60, and close the Citibank account and quit Costco membership for sure.

I just spent two hours between chat and on the phone with a manager for something that should have been quite simple. Costco.com and Costco are quite separate and therefore, their customer service suffers greatly (thus the 2.5 stars out of 5 on this site). I will shop at Sam's Club.com and Sam's Club until this changes. Costco wanted to charge me $800 to ship laminate flooring. Sam's Club has almost exact flooring and they offer the Click and Pull offer. Sam's Club employees shop for you and everything is ready for pick-up and you can pay online or at the club. Costco...you will have to step up your game pretty quickly to keep up. Manager called back way after the allotted time and really offered nothing to help. I am all about good reviews and kudos to those that deserve and rarely write bad reviews but I expect more from Costco and Costco.com. I am off to shop at Sam's Club, contact me if your customer service improves.

I expressed my concerns to the manager who asked for the next manager cuz he had no good excuse for not following through and the manager didn't have anything else to say but just listen and they were sorry. Not good enough. It was bad customer service. It's been an hour of my time with people miss guiding me and lying to me and I was very upset about the poor customer service. The guy that helped me said "You can just order it online & they will deliver it to your door". He FAILED to say they will charge you $ 14.99 shipping & handling. That is ridiculous! I have been enjoying my Costco experience so far. Most employees have been rather polite to be around. Except for a couple deli employees that decided to talk in unprofessional street slang with a dab of cussing using suburban slang to insult half of the people they called friends. Otherwise I have found most workers to be pleasant and professional.
I enjoy purchasing items in bulk sizes. This has really cut down on my grocery bill because I'm not purchasing these items as much at a traditional grocery store. Kirkland brand is hit or miss on quality compared to other stores. They don't sell everything and their prices are not all that great. Could you please give us a genetic store map of where items are? I'm learning the stores by wandering up and down each aisle until I stumble across what I need. I'd like to purchase more but often can't find it. I cannot get out of Costco for less than $200 even if I budget my self to 6-10 items. They rotate product so much it's difficult to find it.
Produce is excellent. The only downside is you have to purchase a large amount of it and it all ripens at once. You have 2-3 days to scarf it down or toss it out. Otherwise their product quality is fairly decent. Despite the massive crowds I found I tend to wait no less than five minutes in line. Some cashiers slow down and allow the customer to pay at their own pace. While others speed you through. Once I couldn't finish writing the check before I realized I was heading out the door.
Parking lot in the Tukwila, WA location is a terrible design. You have panhandlers and homeless at every in/out entrance. Drivers forget to yield to pedestrians and forget to look for them when they drive. Drivers often do more than the 10 mph limit for a parking lot. Could we please have more stop signs and speed bumps to slow these inconsiderate driers down?

Costco can be a good place to shop and a bad one. Things you buy a lot of can disappear overnight never to return, stores across the nation and even across a state carry too many different things (little conformity) and the lines to check out can be horrible and they will not open a '10 items or less' line. Employees are hit and miss for service, some smile and many do not. They don't like helping you load chairs or large heavier items, etc but they are happy to sell you those items. The big bulk items are often too much for small households, especially if you lack storage. They never stock enough of the fun seasonal items. Their rotisserie chicken is the best on the planet though!

When I first join Costco I was overwhelmed by the size. However, I have found great value on a regular basis so I keep coming back. It is amazing how quickly Checkout goes even at high traffic times. The one concern is that at times they drop products with little or no warning. If it's not the house brand (Kirkland) you never know how long they will have the product. This has happened only once or twice so I am not very worried about it. The Kirkland brand is also high quality.

COSTCO value is always good. Sometimes price is almost matched by sales elsewhere, but overall Costco seems to have a policy of a small fixed markup, I think 15%. Required purchase quantities are sometimes greater than we want or need and thus don't purchase there, even though it is cheaper. Return policy at COSTCO is very good, too. Checkout is often slow due to long lines. They try to move them quickly but don't seem to open additional lines soon enough. So, we may avoid going there for small items available elsewhere.

Again they didn't show and no call. I then called and was told the quickest they could now deliver was 2/15. I tried to cancel and get my money back. I was told it took 24 to 48 hours to cancel. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was refused. They said one would call later but of course it did not happen. I waited the 48 hours and called back. I had to cancel the order three times - twice over the phone and once in writing. Anyone who takes the time to review the online service will note that these type of problems are a common occurrence - COSTCO's or their Vendor's or Shipper's record-keeping quality must be very poor. Ultimately the blame lies with COSTCO as they are the ones who makes the agreements with consumers and should ensure that they and their Vendors and Shippers keep to the terms of the agreement.

I called at 12:00 concerned about Dr. Ho ** and the phone rung 8 times before I hung up. I am in the service industry and would have expected at least a free eye appointment and perhaps a discount on frames to keep me as a customer. This proceeded to happen 3 more times, and the products have only now been installed more than a month and a half after their original expected date. Costco is the second largest grocery store in US, I don't believe they don't have ticket system to trace customer issue or concern. After being promised a full refund on three separate occasions (via telephone customer service department), I only received a partial refund of $15. I was outright lied to just to get me off the phone and each time the balance of the refund never posted to my credit card.
I understand the MoviePass's problems are not Costco's fault. However, that's why I chose to purchase from a trusted source, where I had an executive membership. On my purchase order, and explicitly in the terms of my agreement with Costco, it states that I can purchase with confidence and that I'm covered by a 100% risk-free guarantee on merchandise and services. There are certain exclusions, such as electronics, but these do not apply to the MoviePass service.
I get it, Costco got shafted because MoviePass totally lied about their service and a bunch of customers lined up for refunds. I'm one of them. Except, I came later in the process where Costco decided to try and recoup their losses by making up lame reasons why they can't give me a refund (such as "Our policy changed"). Sure, your internal policy may have changed but there is no public record of that. If Costco is selectively applying their guarantee policy, it should be re-branded: "Beware when you shop with us because our policy is 100% risk-free...except when we change our minds..." I generally have had good experience with Costco and I don't abuse the policy. I've seen people return one apple. That's not me.

I wont be buying much so an executive card will be a waste. She still kept asking while we were waiting, it was New Years and super busy. She kept asking if I was sure I didnt want a credit card. I said no I dont need anymore. She still asked me if I was sure. She eventually said if I signed up now I'd get a 60$ cash. But she made it clear and I asked her more than once that it'd be a cashcard sent in the mail. It was all clear because it was an amazing deal that I wanted to be sure it was amazing because it paid for the membership. I didnt mistake anything, neither did my husband standing next to me.
The keywords that emphasize the hustle are TODAY only, I had to sign up and get approved now for the card. Anyways I got sent A ten dollar card. My husband thought theyd just send more. I talked to the store today and all the supervisor said was he's very sorry. I made no mistake. There was a sign on the counter that said that was for the higher priced card and he pointed at that, but that is absolutely not what the cashier told me. I'm not into getting folks in trouble at work especially if it was a misunderstanding, but it was no misunderstanding. I dont know what that lady gets for upsales if anything. And Who knows if the sales folks are pressured into upsales but I do not like being blatanly lied to. It's even more annoying cause the lady was so nice. I'm completely turned off by this company. Our local Sam’s Club closed so we decided to try out Costco. It’s definitely not all it’s cracked up to be - to say the least. Many of their products are low quality with a somewhat high price tag. The membership costs 15 more per year than Sam's Club. There are no aisle labels whatsoever. There are aisle numbers, but no description of what is in each aisle. My guess is they eliminate aisle descriptions so that you have to wander around the store to find what you’re looking for (and therefore spend more $$$).
They have a non-transferable policy and they enforce it. Do not try to use someone else’s card - even if they are a family member or you live in the same house. I made that mistake once. Tried to use my grandma’s card (she had just had surgery so she stayed home). The way the employee acted you woulda thought I was stealing! The employee made a mountain out of a molehill for sure. I explained why I was using her card and she wasn’t having any of it. Rude! To top it off, I only had 1 item...not a cart full. I get why the policy is there, but it seems a little silly that people in the same household (with the same address on their driver’s license) can’t use the same card. Very disappointed. Will now be making a little trip (about 20 minutes) to go to the Sam’s Club on the other side of town.

Costco has been my favorite store until today. I found out, in a very humiliating way, that Costco clerks write comments about customers who return products. I found out I had return produce after the "Best used by" date, and had negative comments on my profile. I found out that every time you return (not sure if you buy as well) something, these comments pop up, no matter what store or city or even state you are, and these comments follow you for the rest of your life with Costco. How humiliating, and what a good way to lose your customers, Costco! Remember, Costco is a shop that takes pride on their return policy, but some overzealous employees are using these comments as they wish.
I have had a couple of spats with a couple of returning clerks, who wanted to give me their "2 cents" on how to avoid returning, and this is their revenge against me. Only because there is a personality mismatch, or a bad chemistry, or a bad vibe with a certain employee, you get stuck with these comments, just because they can!!! It reminded me of Elaine Benes' doctor chart from Seinfeld, besides that this is not funny, but very humiliating indeed! I was appalled today when I returned an item and after that, I skipped shopping at Costco today. Just to think that I gave them over $120K worth of business in 2017 (I have not seen my 2018 report as of yet)!!! What a way to lose a customer - still shocked! Item was sold in store $200 less than I paid online two weeks prior. I had to purchase an additional set in store three days before the online set was delivered, THEN return online set to store to get an immediate refund amount applied back to my card. We didn't even want a cash refund, would have simply preferred a store credit for the $200 difference. Either way, Costco was out the delivery fee but they had an opportunity to be out the fee with a happy customer or out the delivery fee with an unhappy customer. Their policy for not honoring the store price opted them for the unhappy customer. I will NEVER order online through Costco again! We have been long-time customers and were put through an extreme inconvenience for poor customer service. VERY DISSATISFIED!

I noticed after 3 weeks I did not get my items, so I checked online and it said canceled... Never received an email about this. So I called. The representative told me there was some incorrect info on the credit card, so I asked him why I didn't receive a notification. He cut me off and started giving me an unrelated answer, so I asked more sternly, "why did I not receive a notification that this was canceled?" He then said "If you raise your voice at me I will hang up". I then said in a somewhat stern voice (definitely controlled and not yelling, "I think you should be a little more nice to someone who is upset about purchasing goods form your store." He hung up before I finished. Worst service ever.

I just had food poisoning from eating one piece of oyster I bought from Costco. I had to go to the emergency because I couldn't stop vomiting and spent many days in pain from the stomach infection. Seriously if you can't handle seafood and its sensitive hygiene care, why would you sell it to consumers? Businesses have to be small and specialized. Seafood store/spices store/veggies store... This is how it used to be and we used to have good quality food. Now we have one corporation who wants to control everything and in the process we eat trash! Corporate greed!

I trust Costco with their decisions on carrying products and more importantly the things that we eat. I decided to use the Kirkland brand dog foods as I was told from my vet that my 4 year old lab needed to be weaned off of the food that I was feeding him. I have now tried several of their brands and he is an absolute mess. His skin has broken out in complete chaos and while I was giving him a bath this evening it almost looked like he was bleeding due to the irritation. I have four bags of their food and thinking that this needs to all be returned.
After reading all of the reviews on here I am very concerned about his well-being going forward. We will get to the bottom of this but in the meantime I'm going to change his food again to another brand as we did not have all these problems until I decided to go with Costco. In all fairness, we don't know exactly what is going but we will get to the bottom of this problem. If it is Costco's food, I am not going to be very happy with them and will take this to the corporate level. Buyer beware.

Can't give a zero star, so I had to give one star. Bought a HP Envy recently form Costco.com. It freezes so frequently. Worked with Costco concierge and HP for months. Spent so many hours, in troubleshooting along with them on the call, then downloading and installing the software they ask us to reinstall. Initially they dragged it beyond 90 days, so it can't be returned. Now though it is still within a year warranty, they don't want to take it back/fix it. I think they are trying to drag it to go beyond 1 year, so they can say it is out of warranty.
I asked HP person if my particular model known to have issues. She said yes. I asked her, if the new software/image that she gives me, is same as what it came with or it is an upgraded one, that known to have fixed the issue. She said it is the same version as it came with my laptop. For a given firmware, if a baseline of software/image doesn't work, there is no point on keep on reinstalling the same baseline and expect for some miracle to happen.
When I call Costco.com after all this, for a warranty/return, they ask me to contact Costco concierge. Concierge says they don't process return. They ask me to call Costco.com. When I call Costco.com, after they read through case notes, they just ask me to call concierge, then goes on in circles. Or some agents say, go to Costco store. I even went there. Costco store says, if you bought it online at Costco.com, you have to call them. I think their tactics is, they try to pass it to different department of theirs. Each one does same. And also they can't access case notes across divisions, for their convenience, it's been set up that way. So we have to retell the whole story every time. I have been with Costco for more than 10 years. I think IT IS TIME TO WALK OUT OF COSTCO. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE, WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE TACTICS.

I have been shopping at Costco so long it is hard to remember when I first joined. I will guess it has been about 15 years. I highly recommend buying all things electronic from them due to the return policy of 90 days and cheap extended warranties. Most sellers of electronics will give you a 30 day return policy, maybe, while many give you less. On most other items the return policy is a generous 6 months. What's not to love? I don't need a receipt to return an item since it is all on the computer. So nice! All stores should and can do that. They are just deliberately trying to make you jump through hoops so you don't return things. This is the main reason I shop at Costco. Without the return policies they would just fade into the pack. I hope they understand this? I think they do.
I check prices. Sometimes things can be a bit higher at Costco, but I have never been gouged like at other stores. The price is usually close. I have purchased several TVs from them, 40-65 inch HD and 4Ks. The price is always great and they work. I actually have not had to return any of the three I have recently purchased. I will probably go back and upgrade to a QLED or OLED soon. I do love that high end movie experience. Speaking of high end, I would like them to carry a few more high end items in the furniture department. More traditional and less contemporary sofas.
Their jewelry is okay. The prices are about the same as most retailers are and the styles are too. Nothing special there except the return policy. Many jewelers are 2-4 weeks, or don't take returns at all, and Costco is, as far as I know, 6 months. Not positive there, but still more generous than any other jeweler out there. I love the deals on pajamas and casual clothes too. Many stores sell PJs as separates at $30.00 a piece. Costco gives you a cozy pair at $15-20.
Frozen foods are great. But I would like more organic selections. They have some but more would be nice. More organic meats would be great! Deals on cases of water and pop are also good. I like the large TP and Paper towels they sell, not always the cheapest but convenient. Customer service? That is a weak spot. Even so, they pay employees pretty well and they are nicer than most. You do have to find one first. Compared to other stores with more employees on the floor it is a wash.

As I write this, and after researching Costco.com shopping and delivery reviews, It was so disappointing to see Costco has such a poor online shopping/shipping/delivery experience. I purchased the Samsung 82" 4K UHD QLED LCD TV Item # 9820065 $2,999.99. I paid for the White Glove Delivery and was tickled pink when we made this purchase. We received an email from Costco's third party delivery service Ceva@EAGLE1.CEVALOGISTICS.COM - The delivery was scheduled between 1pm-5pm. I took the day off work and waited. At almost 5 pm, I receive an automated call telling me the delivery was being cancelled and I would need to call to reschedule or that I would receive another call to reschedule.
A week later, I still have not received a call nor have I received an email from anyone. Checking the tracking number provided by CEVA LOGISTICS it shows the shipment status show: "Shipment on hand at a CEVA facility." I have tried calling CEVA LOGISTICS CUSTOMER CARE at the number provided in their email 844-215-0640 and all I get is an automated answering service suggesting I visit them online at homedelivery.cevalogistics.com - I went ahead and did that and submitted a help ticket online. Next I will contact COSTCO and find out what is going on with their delivery service. This is completely unacceptable and not what I would have expected from Costco.

I do not have an update on where the product is or the status of the product or a good tracking number. And Costco.com customer care cannot even locate status of the product since this was outsourced to third party. It was so disappointing to see Costco has such a poor online shopping/shipping/delivery experience.
After complaining the issue in physical Costco store I received a email with proper tracking number. I thought it will be good from here. I received the email the TV will be delivered on a date 2 - 6 pm CST. [It put me through an online appointment scheduler] I picked a date that worked out for me and I can be out from work during the delivery time and at around 2:30 pm. The delivery person called --- "I will in your area at 8:30 pm..." I told him the appointment window is for 2 - 6 pm... Here is the response I received... "I got 35 orders to deliver. Whatever time I told you that is time I can deliver to your place. I'm doing a delivery right now. I got to go. Go ahead and reschedule."
How do I reschedule... I don't have that information. Remember this guy suppose to deliver my 75 inch TV. What a shame -- never I will order a product from costco.com. Four months ago, when the dishwasher was delivered the delivery company said our plumber needed to install the water and they would do the rest. Well the plumber did that, now Costco Customer Service said they will not, and do not, install dishwashers. That a plumber needs to do that. So they will order for me again for free but no guarantee that I will receive it.
Other option is they will do a refund and then I have to make my friend who is Costco member log in online, user her credit card to purchase then make her call Costco so I get $50 discount to match the original price within 24 hours and go with her to the local Costco warehouse to pick up. I bought Samsung appliances on March of 2018 from Costco that has a 2 year manufacturer warranty and a 2 year warranty if I buy it on my Citi card. The package was a refrigerator, dishwasher and a gas range. 2 months ago, I turned on the oven and I noticed that the stove started warping on the right hand side under the left knobs. I called Costco concierge and they said that I only have 90 days to return an item, so they will call Samsung to send me a representative to check out the range. A couple of days later, the tech came out for 2 minutes, took pictures and said that he will get back in touch with me. He never turned on the oven, never did a diagnosis. I called Costco a couple of days later and Costco said that this is cosmetic and it's not covered by warranty, there is nothing they can do about it.
On Thanksgiving day I turned the oven on to cook the turkey, about 1/2 an hour later the metal part under the knob cracked in half and I burned my fingers when I touched the knob. I called Costco again and Costco said that they can't do anything because Samsung has deemed my range as physical damage and they will not be able to do anything about it. They said that I can talk to Samsung again to see what they can do. They transferred me again and Samsung said that they will send out another representative. The next day I got a phone call from a company and they said that they are going to come out and check my range but they are going to charge me because the range is already written as physical damage.
I told them not to come out because I wasn't gong to pay them. I called a private company to come out and check my gas line, thinking that maybe there was something wrong with the gas in my house. The technician came out and said that there was nothing wrong with my gas line. He pulled out the range and noticed that the sides of the range are warped and that there is something wrong with the electrical regulator, because the range is extremely hot even when the range is off. He turned off the gas and unplugged the range, and said that I was lucky that my house hasn't burned down.
I called Costco and again. I was sent from one person to another, an hour later, I was still going nowhere and they told me they will get back to me again, because they need to get in touch with corporate. Don't buy appliances from Costco, they used to be the best company, now they are absolutely the worst and don't believe in their warranty because if your house doesn't physically burn down they will not help you and keep giving you the runaround. Meanwhile I can't use a range that I paid over $1,600 for.

Warning to all consumers in the market for flooring. My experience and many others that used Costco as a household name that suggests they guarantee their business, name and product to a consumer. I found this to be very untrue and a costly misunderstanding. I had work done, demo, flooring and install done by Costco for $20k in my residence. They contract through S&G who state their installers are professional and highly trained. Unfortunately they contracted a third party out of Morgan Hill to do the work. These "professionals" used my expensive to replace Roman Shades as window guards to prevent damage to my custom windows. Doing so they not only stretched the cords beyond repair but also used a safety pin to attach them to my curtains to keep them down.
When I pointed this out to S&G with two other issues they said they would repair them as they were damaged. Weeks of not locating a company that repairs them I was told they would replace them and we could settle. Not knowing how much I asked for estimates and they were costly. Once I provided the outcome to S&G they went silent and wouldn't respond to me. I contacted Costco Corporate and asked for assistance. Costco basically said they only get involved if flooring but I would have to deal with their vendor. I paid Costco. I am their customer and they should get this matter resolved. It's been over 3 months since the flooring was out in and this issue has been ongoing. I was told by Costco that if I provided my shades to S&G they would guarantee their blinds department would repair them and have them back to me by two weeks. All untrue.
The shades were taken to a place I said I didn't want them to go all to come back and say they can't fix them. Now S&G says they were never broken and just needed to be reset. Untrue. The cords are stretched and how can you tell me they can't be repaired but then in the same email state they were never ruined and we would love to bring them back. All this time trusting them to do the right thing and yet again both Costco and S&G went radio silent. I had to purchase new Roman Shades that were over $3200 and now have to continue a fight with these people to do what's right and what they should have done in the first place. I would never recommend Costco for any home needs that will cause secondary damage by their vendors. They do not stand by their customers to ensure satisfactory outcomes.

They left the crated fridge in my garage - and it is still there. After 23.5 hours of phone calls, taking the day off from work 3 different times so far, I received a call from the GE technician this morning. "What's wrong with your fridge?"

The guy on the other end was truly ignorant. He said "It's a UPS Box." I said "Yes, that's right." He said "Um. You ordered a BED." I said "Yep." He said "Well. A bed won't fit into a UPS box!" in a snotty voice. I about fell over. Was he serious?? Yes, indeed he was. Apparently he's never heard of UPS accepting FREIGHT, where they put a tag into your box and you take the tag to the desk and they go into the back AND BRING OUT YOUR FREIGHT SHIPMENT.
I order from Amazon, from all kinds of online stores and services. Big items, small items, medium items. NEVER have any of those businesses said "A bed won't fit into a UPS box." The STUPIDITY of Costco and their customer service is truly breathtaking. I mean, all I can do is laugh. Except it's not very funny as Costco ALSO put a "pre-authorization" on my account for that money when I made the order. It's going to take 5 to 10 business days for that charge to drop off my BANK ACCOUNT. I called the bank to ask. So in the meantime I've got over $1000.00 tied up for days and days that I cannot use and cannot buy a different bed from a different company so I have to sleep on the hard floor until then.
Thanks COSTCO, you seriously ignorant troglodytes! I wonder if UPS knows that COSTCO doesn't deliver large items to them? If not, they sure should because UPS is missing out on a lot of business from COSTCO. Why is COSTCO so ignorant that they don't even know that UPS like ANY other mail type company, accepts FREIGHT SHIPMENTS? I need your help. Why the sales rep gave all false information and hit my credit, this is a serious concern. We trust Costco but this kind of incidents are really annoying.

On October 19th 2018 I had a bad experience with Costco Tire Center in Covington, WA. About a month earlier I bought a set of tires from that business. On the 19th they told me that one tire had low pressure. Afterwards to confirm what they said, I checked the pressure and the tire had a nail in it. I marked the spot, and being loyal to Costco, I took the tire out of the van to make their jobs a little easier. When I went over there I was surprised to find the 3/4 bay door available. I thought it was great timing and that they were going to do the job quick. I dropped off the tire and a staff member told me to come inside and do some paperwork. After standing in a line for 10 minutes finishing up my paperwork. A salesman checked the bay doors and after confirming that the 3 were open he said, "We'll call you".
After about half an hour later I came back to find the tire in the same place. So I went to another store to buy some other stuff. I came back after an hour, and the tire was in the same place. I asked the Tire Center Manager how long I was to wait for one tire. Then he asked if I had an appointment because they served those first. I said no because I didn't plan to catch a nail in my tire. He then checked my paperwork and confirmed it had been an hour and ten minutes since I dropped off the tire. He said I had to wait another couple of hours. So I went home, and after three hours since I dropped off the tire. I returned to Costco. The tire was still not done. I talked to the same first staff member. I said Les Schwab fixes tires for free in a max 31 minutes. He said that if you are a Costco customer they don't offer tire repairs for free. I said because you are the biggest competitor for them.
Finally in 3 hours and 10 minutes the tire was fixed. Then to top it off I said I don't want to be a customer of Costco Tire Center and he said "Don't worry, we have plenty of customers". By the way if you think that Costco is the cheapest and best, you are wrong. In the beginning of the same week, I had a similar experience with my daughter's car. She had a nail in a non-reparable spot, so I went to Costco to find a new tire, but they didn't have the same brand of tires on her car. Then a staff member told me that I had to buy 2 tires because it has to be the same brand for same performance. They offered 460$ for 2 tires. So I went to Discount Tires and they told me 150$ for 1 tire for same brand. I purchased that tire and they changed it in 10 min. Those guys deserve 5 stars for customer service.

No action taken from Costco and no proper response from their managers from Kirkland wholesale location when I went to store and followed up with them. Really disappointed and surprised with no action taken on product quality and no response even after filing complaint. I felt like that they don't want to worry to focus on product quality as they are big company.

This process began in June - My husband received an award from employer - where the employer gave Costco cash cards. We were in the market for a new refrigerator - Retailmenot.com had a coupon for $250 off refrigerator - must be bought in store. Went to the store where after waiting for over 30 mins employee got a manager, who told me he never seen the coupon. Would have to research. I agreed to email copy of coupon to him for reference - Both the manager and I were going on vacation so agree to communicate upon return.
I received an email from the local store manager which indicated the coupon was for a particular model - which was not what the coupon noted. I replied to the email with this information providing the info on the refrigerator that I wanted (cost $2599.99) to see if manager would honor coupon and how would I proceed. Although I emailed several additional times - no response. Fast forward to Sept - found another refrigerator made the purchase online. 2 days went by. Did not receive an email confirmation. Called customer service. Was told refrigerator was ordered and should received something shortly. Waited another week still nothing.
Called again was told the refrigerator on order delivery would be between 10/26 -10/31 - I informed we were moving into the home on 10/11. That wouldn't work. I requested to while online find another refrigerator that I could replace, was told no. This order would be canceled and money would be put back onto the cash cards and I would have to start a new purchase. I was not inclined to have to pay more $$$ when I could not get the money back from my gift cards. Move to present day. It has been almost a month and I still cannot get the money put back onto the cards. Each time I call I get a new reason why the money has not been refunded. We have been Costco customers for years and this has been the WORSE. I was upset about not getting the refrigerator (that I wanted in June) but things happen so I moved on. Now I can't get the $$$ back and the customer service folks that I talk to adjust their answer each time. Disappointed.

I had to pull over and called for a tow to my mechanic. They had my car Saturday afternoon till Tuesday. Monday they couldn't figure out the problem with my car. Tuesday they decided to test my gas. Kerosene was in my tank.
Now I have my receipt for the gas I purchased and Costco has cameras at the gas station. I filed a complaint with Costco to take care of the bill but they refused stating that no other complaints were filed with them so it couldn't have been their location. Now how am I suppose to know if other complaints were filed??? They don't make that information available to the public. Plus don't try to leave a negative review on their site. I accompanied my two young children to one of the food tasting booths when we were in the store recently. When we walked up, there was one item on the tray in a small cup. The older woman working didn't say anything to us, until my daughter picked up the cup and then sat it down and started telling her younger brother that she would allow him to have the food until the next one was ready. As she was mid-sentence, the woman working the booth very rudely said, 'she picked it up... She has to take it now... She can't put it back down!' I was taken aback as to how rudely she spoke, whether it was to me OR to my children. My children were very taken aback as well. Further, she heard just as well as I did exactly what my daughter had said. At this time, I gave my son the cup that my daughter had just placed down and abruptly reiterated to the woman what my daughter had said.
I also told the woman that, if it was such a big issue, she could easily have thrown away the cup with the tiny amount of food in it. I was then further shocked that this woman gave me the nastiest and rudest look after I spoke to her. This is the second time this type of situation has happened to me and my children at this particular store in Lenexa. This is beyond disappointing and completely unacceptable; especially when children are involved. There is no reason why this type of treatment should EVER occur to a customer, again especially children. If Costco continues to employ individuals that treat people with such disrespect, they will quickly lose their customer base.

I am totally disabled and require a scooter to get around a large store like Costco. Several times while using a scooter at Costco, the battery would suddenly fail and I would be left helplessly stranded with no assistance in sight. The other day at Costco it happened again when the scooter's battery just suddenly died on me. I waited and waited hoping to see a Costco employee who I could ask for help but there was none. Costco should have a distress light or flag on its scooters that can be raised when scooters die in its large store.
Another customer was gracious and helpful enough to push me on my scooter out to the area where Costco keeps scooters. His kind help reminded me of the time when I was at the VA Medical Center having a rough time trying to work a wheelchair down a long hallway. A young man came up from behind and just started pushing my wheelchair to the department I needed to go to. Someone in Costco management came out to where the scooters were kept but he showed no concern for me.

The Costco free installation was also troublesome. The dishwasher was not installed because they did not have a very common connecting brass fitting "on their truck." I offered to quickly go to a very nearby hardware store and they said they could not wait more than a few minutes. Just one example of several problems with J.B. Hunt. I first have to write. I am not a shopper and do not like big stores. Normally I know exactly what I need. If I can not find an item, I don't hesitate to ask for help. I never go to a store with expectations on the time it will take me to shop. Things happen... I usually do not get frustrated in a store... because things happen, and if I don't have much time I just don't go shopping because again... things happen. So this is a warning to others who don't like shopping. Don't even try Costco, you will be disappointed. With that written... I received a membership as a birthday gift, and I was actually, looking forward to shopping at Costco. I looked online and I knew what I wanted before I got there. However I did plan on looking around the store. I had all day to shop if I wanted.
The service desk was very friendly, but continued 3 more times, after I told her, "No thank you," to try and get me to sign up for an executive membership and the Visa card. I guess she didn't want to take no for answer. Her pitch for this took 10 minutes. That was my first turn off. The store itself was very clean, not sure if there was any organization of items or not, because, there were no department signs and when I asked someone for help, to find a couple items, they couldn't tell me exactly where the items were. I never did find one of them, (reading glasses) and I wasn't going to look anymore. I was then told by one employee that some items are moved around so they really didn't know where the reading glasses were. They had cheese on sale but the sign read the 32 oz. packages were on sale.
All the packages there were 44 oz. I went to the lady giving the free samples and asked her about this, she told me she didn't really know and I would have to ask up front. So I then asked another person and the response "I don't have a clue". I saw a cooler on wheels but there was no price on it, and the person there did not know how much it was, so he had to look it up. That took 5 minutes. Response from the guy was, the price was not on the cooler, because it was on sale??! That doesn't make sense to me, but whatever!!! I found another item I had on my list, I saw this item on sale in the magazine my friend had, but the sale price was listed, so I waited to ask the employee that was helping another customer in that department. He did not have a scanner to scan the item, he could not find the item in his tablet and told me I had to ask up front.
I then bought some shorts and sandals, looked around and went to check out. That was a nightmare. The line was very long and only 4 lanes were opened. The check out girl rang up the items, I asked about the cheese, (it did ring up on for the sale price listed) and my other item: she had to call another person for help. The guy in line behind me told the girl, the item was in the magazine, it was on sale and he vouched for that. Now I am holding up the line... which is very annoying for everyone. I had to follow the guy to a desk in a different area so he could search for it. I told him, the item was in the Costco Connection magazine that had a picture of a black Lab on the front. While the guy was trying to find the item, I told him this was my first trip to Costco and I was not impressed. I told him my experience and how I was disappointed.
He must have felt bad as he quit looking for the item I had and let me buy it for the sale price I saw in the magazine. In hindsight, I should have taken a picture of the item before I went to the store (didn't think I would need to do that). That's what I get for not following my instinct. I then went to the food area and bought a hot dog. The hot dog was very good! The condiment area was filthy, the soda area was very wet, puddles of water and pop dripping on the floor, the tables were not very clean. I did not see anyone cleaning this up. I wiped my area where I was sitting with a wipe I carry in my purse. The rest of my trip out the door was smooth but busy, it took about 5 minutes at the door. Total time I spent there... 2 and half hours. I didn't think that was too long, considering everything. I only purchased 6 items, that I could have probably purchased at another store in 30 minutes.
Costco should have their employees more informed on the products and a scanner to scan on the spot. I believe the store needs a little more organization with labeled aisles and or signs hanging from ceiling for the each department. I noticed the nuts and trail mixes are not even close to the dry goods area. I didn't even see where the bulk the candy was. Most of the employees are friendly but not very helpful. I will have second thoughts about going there again. I don't want to go someplace shopping, where, I have anxiety, before I get there. This is not the store for me to shop. I do not recommend getting a membership, go with someone first, that has membership.

Costco has been my primary supermarket for many years. The quality of the food is excellent and, over the last few years, Costco has added more organic options. The cost, compared to traditional grocery stores, is always better at Costco, and easily compensates for the membership fee. Although I can't always get what I need at Costco because the selection is somewhat limited, I highly recommend Costco, even if it means I occasionally need to go to a traditional grocery store. I also wish Costco carried more choices for cat food and litter.
I have also used Costco's extended services. I bought a new garage door with Costco and saved several hundred dollars. Costco works with local companies for these services - like new cars, flooring, bathtub makeovers, window blinds, etc. Costco arranges the price with the local company and it's the local company who does the work. Simple and painless. Give Costco a try. If you don't like it they'll refund the cost of your membership in full, no questions asked.

I’m giving Costco a rating of 2 based on a weighted average of the following: 1. We’ve loved Costco and have been black members for since 2014. 2. We just had a baby and birth gave mom a 2nd degree tear down there, which includes muscle tears. Her retiree parents flew in from China to help out since I work 70-90 hours per week. They tried to help with grocery shopping, but were embarrassed and turned away because they weren’t pictured on mom’s Costco card. They are a member of our household for the next 6 months and can’t even grocery shop at Costco!? Any reasonable policy wouldn’t require a woman who just gave birth with dozens of stitches inside and out to be present to get groceries. The manager at the Hartford, CT Costco also refused to allow her parents to call her and asked them instead to leave the store.
In Costco’s defense, the Costco card does say “non-transferrable” on it. I just believe strongly that Costco needs to consider a way to remedy situations like that of my family, rather than embarrass elderly parents who are just trying to help their mostly bedridden daughter. They could’ve allowed the phone call to mom so an explanation could be given, allowed the sale this one time with a warning, etc., rather than treat her parents like they were trying to cheat Costco.

They linked me to the distributor and I scheduled a deliver date, they never showed up. I called Costco to handle this and they kept trying to give me the runaround, they told me that they will get in touch with the delivery dispatchers, No one could reach them! Where did the driver go? Costco then said that a customer specialist will get in touch with me the next day and that there were no supervisors on the floor to speak to and that they had all gone home? What!? How are you running a business operation with no available supervisor?
I got the number for the dispatcher and left a message to them to call me the next day. No one called me the next day! So I called Costco again, and they said the best thing they could do was escalate the delivery, and to have this magical customer specialist call me about reimbursements. Finally a day later this customer service specialist called, and had the audacity to argue with me that they have 3 weeks to deliver a package, how do you then explain that the package was already ready to be delivered, and all that they could offer was $100 missed delivery voucher if I kept the item, so I decided to take that offer and reschedule my delivery. Did it show up the second time... NO it did not! How do you operate an online business like this? This is why ToysRUs went out of business. Never order online here!!!
