We decided to get insurance for our dog after an expensive ordeal. Our premiums are very reasonable and the claim submission is very easy. I love the app interface. Claim status gets reviewed same day or the next and gets processed right away in my experience.

I have contacted Lemonade several times for claims and adjustments to my policies. Every time the response was quick with no hassles at all. I would highly recommend their service. The only negative is the inability to adjust coverages upon renewal if a pet has ever had a claim.

The claim service is incredibly user-friendly. Very timely response from the reviewers. Ease of document upload & bill breakdown. Made the traumatic experience of emergency vet visits far less stressful.

This company is with ASPCA which pays the president millions and takes from the people who care about the animals. Did not cover my claim for simple rabies and nail trims which were needed. I have cancelled my service and will find a better insurance if that is even possible.

This is pure scam! They are making up preexisting conditions when there are none. Even my veterinarian doesn’t understand where they found it. Absolutely don’t recommend. Kia and Mariella ** are just unprofessional and clueless.

I purchased this insurance for my kitten based on a recommendation from a coworker. I work at a veterinary hospital. I filed a claim for a visit for vomiting. Mind you I can see when they requested records and when we sent them. They lied about when they sent request and received. I have send a couple emails and called with nothing helpful but thanks for your patience. It’s still says reviewing records 3 weeks later. He’s only been to the vet twice so it’s not like there is much to review.

EASY to file claims and very quick payments! Nothing but an excellent experience with Lemonade pet insurance! Even when I hade a claim for over $3k, I expected a problem but nothing but ease! Definitely recommend getting it!

I've had Lemonade for about a year for a cat and a dog. They both went to the vet and the bill was covered toward their deductible. My cat then went in for constipation. SAME reason for the visit already covered and was denied the claim. He then went in for a UTI and was again denied as they said it was pre-existing because it was listed in the constipation claim. WHAT? TOOK A MONTH to get that ruling.

We love Lemonade! It’s simple and fast with no catches. You get the coverage that you pay for. Claims are done on your phone in just a few minutes and the money gets moved into my account just as quickly in most cases. It’s very dependable, and I’ve had experience with other pet insurance companies.

I've had Lemonade Pet insurance since November 2024. I took our new cat into a vet for a simple wellness exam which will be a month ago in 3 days. I read her policy THOROUGHLY and her exam was covered as well as her medication. Our cat had NO health issues except was prescribed a de-worming shot and sent home with medication to treat her symptoms for 1 week. She is well! Today is January 31, 2024, I still have NOT been reimbursed their portion of her insurance. It's been all excuses and I'm tired of it really. I read a bunch of fake 5 star reviews about the fast claims process and it's a bunch of malarkey! Please be aware of this insurance company. You've been warned!

On Jan 3. 2023 I brought my cat Leo to the vet. Because my cat was vomiting, and having diarrhea. The vet didn’t know why. He thought there was something stuck in his stomach, and or something he ate. I told him no, the cat only eats cat food. The vet told me there have been a lot of reports of cats getting sick from seafood. He told me to stay away from fish.

Using Lemonade for pet claims is easier than making toast! It usually takes less than five minutes and I’ve never been disappointed in the result. If you’re considering an insurance carrier, you should really consider lemonade. Our pet went to the hospital and instead of being stressed trying to figure out what they would cover or not, they made it very clear and had fantastic customer service! I highly recommend them.

I got pet insurance from Lemonade for my 2 dogs. I paid the quote. Seems I did not understand part of the application. They told me there may be a change in the cost of the policy. On a Saturday evening they told me they were charging my credit card on Sunday for $282. Lemonade's phone answering answering system said that I could not speak with anyone until Monday. They took my money without my informed consent. Had I known that Aliya's policy would be so expensive, I would have said no thank you. When I tried to get clarification, the representative blew smoke at me. And then, they sent my complaint to the person I was complaining about! Wow! I guess Lemonade's management isn't interested in their employee's behavior. Don't trust them!!!!

All claims filed via the Lemonade app which walks you through submission process. Very prompt reimbursement for routine covered claims, i.e. vaccines, wellness etc. Turnaround time receiving payments for routine covered claims has been as fast as one business day. Good coordination for claims requiring more time/support for processing including immediately assigning a Lemonade contact upon receipt of the claim.

With an approx 4 month rescue puppy with no medical record/history, I was expecting claims to be challenged or problems. This was not my experience with Lemonade and its easy/fast claim process and clear communication. I was used to other insurance companies paying out on customary charges reduced for geographic area, which is always an issue in an area as large as Los Angeles. This did not happen with Lemonade. In a 2 month period they paid 80% for X-rays on first vet visit, kennel cough 4 weeks later and laceration surgery from a dog attack the following month. This rescue puppy would have cost me $$$ more money without the excellent coverage of Lemonade. I chose the $150 month coverage with $250 deductible. Keep up the good work Lemonade!

DO NOT GET LEMONADE. This is the worst insurance company I've ever dealt with, and that's saying something. My 2.5 year old dog, who has never had ANY major medical issues, was denied reimbursement for his ear infection medication because Lemonade claims that he has a history of ALLERGIES and that an EAR INFECTION is somehow an ALLERGY RESPONSE. Therefore, they assert, it is a PREEXISTING CONDITION and does not qualify for coverage. Nor does the cost of his doctor visit. Nor does the cost of his flea medication, ear infection prescription, or preventative care shots. SO WHAT IS COVERED?! WHAT IS THE POINT?! You guys are horrible. EAR INFECTIONS ARE NOT ALLERGIES YOU IDIOTS.

Lemonade is a really excellent insurance company. Filing a claim is easy and userfriendly. I feel like they do their best to help the consumer get a positive outcome. I use them for my coverage for my home insurance, too. I'll definitely continue using their services.

I can definitely say that Lemonade is the best pet insurance I have ever experienced. I am always grateful for their prompt work. My dog ​​has diabetes and needed cataract surgery due to the diabetes. Lemonade covered it all. So my dog ​​is now living a new life. Thanks Lemonade.

I started my pet policy on 12.23.24. On 12.27.24 I requested to add coverage to my policy, which Lemonade states needs to be made within 14 days of the start date of policy. Obviously well within the time frame, yet, they are denying the added coverage. This is my first experience with pet insurance, and it appears Lemonade does not honor their own policy rules. I will be canceling my policy with them and moving it elsewhere.

Don't bother using this insurance. They take forever to handle claims and constantly try to find tiny bits of excuses to deny legitimate claims. They rejected to reimburse my golden retriever suffering from blockage due to ingesting chicken bones, because she had diarrhea in the past.

I signed up for Lemonade thinking their quirky branding and "AI-driven" system would mean efficiency and transparency. Instead, it meant zero accountability. When my pet needed care and I submitted claims, I was met with arbitrary denials and vague justifications. Your pet's issue can be twisted into a "pre-existing condition" or a "non-covered expense," even if it clearly falls under what they advertise.

Quite simply the best insurance company I have ever dealt with in my 60 years. They are super responsive. Have a simple claims process. My last claim was posted for a vet's visit on 4th December and was paid into my account on the 9th of december.

Filing claims with Lemonade has been very easy. The preventative ones get approved almost immediately and match what the contract says it will cover. For claims in regards to accidents/injuries, I had one claim within a year. It was around a cracked tooth. And while dental cleaning wasn't covered in my dog's plan, the injury for the cracked tooth was. So while the processing took a little bit of time, I was pleased with the outcome and what was covered. It showed that Lemonade cared about my dog's health and stayed true to what I contractually signed with them. I will continue to use them due to the transparency and ease of use.

Lemonade Pet Insurance is the real deal! Our dog has had a few unfortunate illnesses requiring vet care, and Lemonade has always paid exactly what they said they would. The last claim was paid in 1 second! Of course, we don’t want claims, but if we ever need them, they’ve been there. Highly recommended!

We have Lemonade insurance for our 10 month old pup. I took out the insurance a few months ago thinking I probably wouldn’t need it, but the pup did get sick with an ear and skin infection. I put in a claim on a Sunday and by the following Thursday of the same week the claim had been settled. Everything was done electronically so there were no piles of paperwork to submit. What an awesome experience. I highly recommend this company. If you can get all your records from your vet electronically to attach them to the claim, this will certainly expedite your claim.

My boxer pulled a leg muscle early Saturday morning and we took him to Vet , the bill was very high. My Lemonade insurance covered 80% of the bill in which they reimbursed me in my account on the following Wednesday. Within the past month and a half I've filed two claims for my 2 year old male golden retriever and both times the claims were reviewed and my refund was received within a week. Pay attention to all the reviews regarding claim denial. They take your money immediately but then very slow on claim review (6 weeks), while tech friendly, human compassion and explanation are missing. My rep had horrible work ethic and made up rules about pre-existing conditions. Shelters beg for pet adoption to prevent kill orders and Lemonade offers false hope of preventative care and emergency coverage. Christina was my rep and she stated that my kitty’s dehydration and lethargy was a preexisting condition. She had lethargy after her vaccines when we adopted her. My kitty gets lethargy again and Christina made it a preexisting condition and would not cover a $115 claim. There’s also no accountability checks, supervision etc. While the claim is low, this is principle and I care about wasting money. Do NOT waste your money and your time. You’ve been warned.

(My dog only needed it every 2 or 3mos) I would hope that most pet ins. companies don't charge to reflect use.Y our customer service and claims process is fantastic and get 5☆ all day for that. You're a great company to deal with and the website is so user friendly as well as the claims process, the price increase is the only reason for 3☆.

When we decided to get a French bulldog puppy we knew we needed pet insurance. After a ton of research we ended up going with Lemonade. Had both renter's insurance and still have pet insurance with them. Claim process for pets is super easy (chatbot) and quick for approvals. I did generic vaccines and annual checkup claim. Renter's insurance monthly rate is much lower than most, saying this from leasing agent perspective as I also lived in Seattle and worked in apartment industry.

Last April my pup completely shredded her ACL leaving me with a 9000.00 bill for her surgery. Absolutely love Lemonade. We have had to take our pup to the ER twice now, and both times we got money back. I have a few friends who have had pet insurance prior with other companies and have never gotten any money back on any claim. To file a claim with Lemonade is really as easy as they say it is. We've always had a great experience with Lemonade Pet Insurance. Our claims have always been approved and sometimes on the spot. We had a situation where we forgot to update our address after moving to a more expensive area, and they didn't have any issue and just had us update the address when we figured out the address hadn't been updated. Our 7 month old puppy got a bone lodged in his jaw. We had to get him to a vet at 6:00 am on a Monday. The entire process was super easy. I was able to do everything from my phone shortly after we got back from the ER vet. The claim was filed and paid within less than 30 minutes. All insurance should work this way.

I would not recommend Lemonade. My pet vomited once in June from a harmless upset stomach. Because of that, when my pet ingested something that made them very sick in September, they denied the claim because they had vomited before in June and my vet made a note of it. Doesn't matter the reason for the vomiting and it doesn't matter that the episodes were completely unrelated and months apart. Don't waste your money - they'll obviously use any excuse they can to not pay their part.

Horrendous insurance. They may be the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. They will not cover basic illness visits and search for any oblique reason to deny it. If your pet has one infection (ear, diarrhea, skin) prior to being insured, they will deny all future visits for any similar events. They will state that it is a "pre-existing condition". It defies common sense and they are very concrete. The site is also a real pain to submit any documentation. Stay away...

I was initially concerned about putting in a claim online without speaking on the phone with someone. This is not the first time I’ve submitted a claim but Lemonade makes it oh so easy. They are extraordinarily efficient and pleasant. A representative took my information online and two days later I had my money. It’s rare to get that level of service these days but Lemonade sets the standard. Aside from that their rates are extremely competitive. I’d recommend them to family and friends.

Lemonade makes me feel so lucky and safe. When I got my first dog as a puppy, I was so nervous, anything he did I wanted to go to the vet to make sure he was okay, and because of Lemonade, I did. Now that he’s older I continue to take him when needed with no fear. When I’m out of town I always tell the dogsitter, if anything weird happens at all, just take him to the vet, no problem. I don’t say this because I have a ton of money, but that I trust Lemonade and how efficient and great they are. My first dog and on a whim I got the best insurance possible for him, I won’t be going anywhere else in the future.

Lemonade has been great for my French bulldog. Having a frenchie, I knew I should get insurance and after much research I selected Lemonade. She had BOAS surgery, nares, and a partial ovary removal from an improper spaying and Lemonade covered 80% after my deductible. I have really enjoyed having Lemonade. Prior to that, I was with another big-name pet insurance company for at least 5 years. Not once did anything get approved for reimbursement. Essentially I was paying for nothing. The cost went from $106 to $113, which was reasonable. Then $113 to $148, not great but we can make it work. Finally from $148 to $192 and that was my limit. I couldn't pay close to $200 monthly to a company that never even approved my claims. I searched around and did a lot of comparing and settled on Lemonade. It has the same coverage but is significantly cheaper. I put our first claim in and to my surprise, it was covered! Most recently I put a claim in for $87 (the cost of his medication) and didn't include the other items on the receipt because I didn't think they qualified. To my surprise, they took the time to review the whole receipt and I got $200+ back! The process is so unbelievably easy and I've been loving it.

Why buy pet insurance? Typically, you do that to protect something that has high value. My fur baby is like my child and I wanted the peace of mind knowing that if something should happen, I could help her. A few weeks ago, she had an emergency that required 3 nights in the animal hospital to treat a severe case of pancreatitis. I thought we lost her. The vet/animal hospitals require you to pay upfront and of course you want to save your baby's life, so you say YES!! The bill was a little over $7,500.

They denied to pay my claim citing pre-existing conditions even though it was a claim for an ear infection and dermatitis which had not re-occurred for more than two years prior to the current infection. Their policy states the following: 'Conditions that existed before the policy’s Start Date or during a Waiting Period, such as Chronic Conditions, Bilateral Conditions, or intervertebral Conditions aren’t covered. However, we do cover some Pre-Existing Conditions that can be Cured, so long as there have been no symptoms or treatment for at least 12 months. Knee Conditions cannot be cured.' How would an ear infection and dermatitis that had been treated with antibiotics more than two years ago and not recurred be classified as 'pre-existing condition? Daylight robbery of premiums.

They are the absolute worst. If your dog has any symptom ever that was written by a vet and your pet goes in and gets an exam or ER and they write one of those symptoms again (even if it’s not the reason you went in for) they will NOT cover it. Also it’s a hassle filing the claim and getting in touch with customer service. The staff is also the absolute worst. Don’t go with Lemonade.

I have a 1 year pet mix dog named Izzy. I chose Lemonade Pet insurance based on a Google search of pet insurance companies in which Lemonade ranked in the top 5 pet insurance companies. Initially they handled my basic wellness visits without any issues. But when I submitted a claim for a limping issue my dog was having that’s when their true colors shown through. Upon checking into to veterinary office for the limping issue I started to the vet technician that I believe she is limping on the same side that the Humane Society told me was fractured. I misspoke…the records from the Humane Society stated that my dog’s fractured was on the right side. Because of what “I” said my claim was denied. This was a new symptom.
