How does Dr. Marty work?

Dr. Marty’s products are available to purchase online or in-store. You can use Dr. Marty’s store locator to find your closest retailer.

Dr. Marty’s pet food can be ready to serve out of the bag, but the company recommends that you get your pet used to the new food by replacing portions of their regular food with Dr. Marty’s food over time. It’s also important to serve the recommended portion relevant to your pet’s weight and combine it with the recommended amount of water if your pet prefers wet food.

Some supplements also require time to introduce your pet to the formula. For example, Dr. Marty recommends starting with a small amount of Pro Power Plus formula and working up to a full serving over 10 days. Your pet may experience tummy trouble as bacteria is kicked out of their system, but this should only last two to three days. The cat version of this product, Feline Prime, also requires a transition period.

Be sure to read the instructions for each product label or download the product guide online from Dr. Marty’s website. If you don’t see an improvement in your pet’s health, you have 90 days to return the unused amounts of pet food or supplements. Consult with your vet if any problems persist.

Cairo, our 6 year old Malinois Shepherd mix has had and itching problem since we got him at 6 months. Nothing would correct it. We tried several vets to no avail, until we tried Dr Marty's Pro power Plus! Within 4 days his itching has completely stopped. He's losing less fur and is so much happier and relaxed. We even had him on ** which was the only thing that semi worked but now he no longer takes it at all. I highly recommend the Pro power Plus for your dogs. We have had a fantastic experience also with Dr. Marty's Dental sticks also, and we only give him one every other day.

We also feed him Dr Marty's essential wellness everyday with his dinner meal and have also had nothing but excellent experience with that also. We had a Pomeranian named Pokey who gained another three and a half years of very happy life when the vet wanted us to put him down the next day before we started him on the essential wellness. My wife Paula and I highly recommend Dr Marty's to everyone who loves their dog as much as we love ours!

Thank you so much Dr. Marty,

    Ross and Paula

My title goes with the song "Who Let the Dogs Out". I started singing it after my babies devoured their first bag of Dr. Marty's dog food. I tried one and immediately had to order another bag, then I subscribed. My girl is so finicky that I can't get her to eat EVEN roast beef most of the time. My boy just lost his eye and was very lethargic and sad. I didn't even think they would look at it but, I just put it down like I would a treat and didn't say anything, when I looked back it was ALL gone. I'm so grateful for your help because I was at my wits' end trying to get her to eat. I was so afraid they wouldn't get the vitamins required for them. I just wish you would make a bigger bag that's in between the size. I could afford it. My dogs are now in your capable hands, thank you so so much, and thank you for making it affordable. I have peace of mind now.

I have very finicky kitties. I ordered all three flavors of food and treats. They love them all! My fat kitty is satisfied and has lost weight! I hear kitty's will eat more if they aren't getting the proper nutrients. Both kitties are happier and not always bugging me for more food or treats! My female has lost over a pound She was so fat she would fall over backwards with hind legs in the air.. She was a big fluff ball She was sooo cute but I worried all the time because I knew she was too fat and it was going to kill her!

I can't express how relieved I am knowing my kitties are healthier and happier. The old store bought stuff often made them sick and since switching they have not been sick~ Also they play a little more! I feed them the food dry most of the time but I also add water and make gravy for them when I feel like they want a change. They have not gotten tired of the food or treats so we are happy. I do wish they had Trout flavor food or treats that used to be their favorite! I don't think they miss it because they are loving what we have now but it would be nice having another go to. As happy as I am with Dr. Marty's and always telling everyone I know how great this stuff is I don't know why more don't switch. Out of everyone I have told only two have tried it... Their kitties loved it too and they are having same results from their kitties.

My pup has suffered with paw licking and hair loss and developing sores on his paws since before he was 2 years old. At first it seemed seasonal. As each year has passed the problem was becoming constant. He is now 6+ years old. We started cooking his food at home using human foods when he was around 3 years old. Attempting to stay away from commercial dog food because of all the horrible and unknown things in it and hoping to eliminate the cause. We cooked ground turkey added fruit, veggies and fruits. Yet the problem continued. Monthly vet visits, steroid shots and oral steroid pills, creams, shampoos...you name it, we have tried it! It has been Very expensive monthly, and terribly hard to watch our fur baby suffer.

Fearful of the damage of constant use of medications on him and he was getting fat. We became concerned that possibly cooking for our pup that he may be missing needed nutrients and not getting a balanced healthy diet. He really looked like he didn't feel well at all. He was still getting commercial dog treats and such. Frustrated, exhausted and fearful of losing my beloved pup I opted for expensive allergy testing at the same time I ordered Dr. Marty's Dog food. I wanted to make sure I wasn't feeding him something he was allergic to.

I had watched the Dr. Marty video several times and decided to give it a shot. My pup is only allergic to rag weed per the blood work testing. He is not allergic to any foods. The Dr. Marty food arrived quickly. My dog was excited before I got the bags out of box. It was like he could smell the goodness. He was so excited when I gave him a cup dry just to try it out. Barking and dancing around and practically grabbing the food bowl from my hand. I was excited that he was excited. He loved it, a lot! His paws are clearing up. His energy levels are increased. He looks happier and healthier. He has a sparkle in his eyes. He is losing the excess weight!

We are going to continue with Dr. Marty's food. We give him a cup for breakfast and top his home cooked meal with a cup of it. Our pup is 70 pounds. (Recommended 3 -3.5 cups per day for his weight) Doing it this way I am able to make 6 bags of Dr. Marty's food last a month and ensure my dog is getting his much needed nutrients. We couldn't be happier with the results was are seeing and we are just finishing out 1st month's supply! I am impressed with this dog food and the changes I have seen in my dog in such a short time!! I feel so much better seeing my dog thrive and heal. I highly recommend Dr. Marty's freeze dried food! You won't regret it! Thank you Dr. Marty, for loving my pup as much as I do! (P.S. I do not usually write reviews)

I have 4 Australian shepherds, Harlee (8), Watson (7), Biscuit (2) and Jax (2). Since I got Biscuit and Jax at 9 weeks old their poops were always ploppy. I tried adding granual types of supplements that said it would help their gut which would also change the consistency of their poops. Everything I tried never made a difference. I changed can food and kibble too with either no change or making things worse. I was constantly looking on the internet at options when I came across Dr. Marty's Natures Blend Essentials.

Due to financial reasons I had to decide that I couldn't afford to use Dr. Marty's food for Harlee and Watson. Because Biscuit and Jax had the gut issues I wanted to try the food for them. I would love to use Dr. Marty's food as their main source of nutrition but again due to financial reasons my plan was to only use half of the suggested feeding amount. I supplemented the remaining calories and nutrition with fresh human grade food along with vitamins and supplements. The boys have been on this recipe for one month and their poops are now formed and firm. I saw a change around week 2 and it continued to get better each week thereafter. I would love to be able to feed this to my senior dogs, Harlee and Watson.

I can't say enough great things about Dr. Marty's food. All the ingredients are wholesome ingredients. Biscuit and Jax love meal time. I add the freeze dried food into their bowl with the other ingredients, add a little unsalted broth and stir. They love it!!! There isn't anything in the food that doesn't belong. As my husband says, "the dogs eat better than I do".

The food is amazing, but I can’t recommend their service. Customer service has very little they can do if there’s a delivery problem, and will not contact the carrier to resolve it. My dog is now suffering from having to change her diet again. 14 days ago I placed an order, it’s still not here, tracking says allow 48 hours to process, for over a week after the original misdelivery on the 15th of this month, my dog is 15 years old and after improving dramatically from this diet, she is now rapidly going downhill. It’s over $50 a bag total cost at the local stores, one bag lasts 4-6 days. I’m in disbelief that nobody at Dr Marty will help me resolve this issue. I have two miracle stories, one a cat, and my dog. Both are in going in the wrong direction now, I had to take my dog to the vet as a result of suddenly having to change her diet, to a much less quality food.

It’s such an easy issue to resolve so I don’t understand why they would allow this to happen. It feels like they really don’t care about my dog's health. My trust in them has dropped considerably. For me it’s hard to say it’s worth the risk of trusting this company with my dog's healthy diet. It’s like buying a super car, that came with used flat tires and a fuel tank full of water. I’ve waited 2 weeks, and they still won’t call me, or their carrier. Their customer service doesn’t even know who the carrier is, they given me several different incorrect stories and phone numbers that were supposed to be the carrier. None of the phone numbers provided are the carrier, which if I could just speak to, this issue would get resolved in less than 1 minute, so it does not make sense that they won’t help me resolve the issue.

I listed my address with the exact location on line 2 of the address, but they do not provide that part to the carrier. It’s just unbelievable! It is a very high end expensive product, but it’s like words that are not supported by actions, pointless, meaningless, and potentially harmful. It’s not good to keep changing a very elderly dog's diet, and they know that!

A year ago, I started my dog on Dr. Marty dog food. The ad said that it would help with the itchiness and his coat. However, this is not true. When I called the company, they said that I should put them on one of their supplements. The dog food is $100 a month. The supplement is another $42 a month. They do have some guarantees, but I’m not willing to sell out more money to find this out. There’s so many really good dog foods out there. I think I’ll try another brand.

I was loving Dr. Marty's freeze dried food for dogs and cats! My 2 dogs and 1 cat were loving it too. I was continuously buying this for over a year and it was costing us $88.70 for 3 bags and now it would be costing us 170.63 for 3 bags! That is ridiculous! I will not spend that much for 3 16 Oz bags. I am bummed about this and I really hope this price to go down.

The food wasn’t bad. After a few days my dogs refused to eat it. It stunk. It was horrible, but we did try the probiotic powder as well. I gave my daughter the leftover food for her dogs. Our issues. The powder it didn’t do anything. Almost $100 and now to send it back we have to pay to do that and that’s not right. If it’s 90 days moneyback guaranteed you should own up to it and you should pay the shipping. Customers shouldn’t have to pay to ship back your product that don’t work that you guarantee.
