How does Dr. Marty work?

Dr. Marty’s products are available to purchase online or in-store. You can use Dr. Marty’s store locator to find your closest retailer.

Dr. Marty’s pet food can be ready to serve out of the bag, but the company recommends that you get your pet used to the new food by replacing portions of their regular food with Dr. Marty’s food over time. It’s also important to serve the recommended portion relevant to your pet’s weight and combine it with the recommended amount of water if your pet prefers wet food.

Some supplements also require time to introduce your pet to the formula. For example, Dr. Marty recommends starting with a small amount of Pro Power Plus formula and working up to a full serving over 10 days. Your pet may experience tummy trouble as bacteria is kicked out of their system, but this should only last two to three days. The cat version of this product, Feline Prime, also requires a transition period.

Be sure to read the instructions for each product label or download the product guide online from Dr. Marty’s website. If you don’t see an improvement in your pet’s health, you have 90 days to return the unused amounts of pet food or supplements. Consult with your vet if any problems persist.

I’m sorry I introduced my Golden Retriever to Dr. Marty’s dog food. She absolutely loves it! Numerous times during the day she will go up to the bag indicating she wants more! The downside for me is I know I can’t keep feeding her this food, due to the expense. I thought I would order it as a treat not expecting her reaction. I’m on a fixed budget relying on Social Security. My heart hurts seeing her enjoying something so much. If I could afford this she would get this food for the rest of her life!❤️

We've feed our pup Dr. Marty's for 4 years. He loves it. We feed half Dr. Marty and half Farmer's Dog. He could not be healthier. I don't understand the negative comments. Not all dogs like the same food. I also would like to know why Consumer Affairs listed "Only sells foods for dogs and cats" as a CON on the Dr. Marty's profile. How is that a negative? Is it a CON if a tire store does not sell cars?

Hi Dr. Marty, I just wanted to let you know that I’ve seen a big difference in my cat since she’s been eating your food more regularly. Her appetite is better, she’s lost some weight, her coat is soft and shiny, and she hasn’t had any accidents at all. Even her digestion looks much better! I really wish the price could be a little lower or that the cat food came in a bigger bag since my cat eats small amounts throughout the day. But overall, I’m so happy with how healthy she looks and feels. She’s 13 years old now and doing so well. Thank you for making such a great product for cats! Also, I’ve been giving her a supplement for UTIs — I think you might have one like that too? Please let me know if you do. Thanks again, Alicia

Food is exspensive. I have two small dogs one 12 and the other 14 #, 4 & 10yrs old. I can't afford to only feed Dr Marty's product. I feed 1/4 cup each a day. The dogs seek his food first. Better poop, coat glossier, dogs happier. This is after 3 months. I also give them liver treats that are freeze-dried. When I researched freeze-dried, it takes 10# of fresh food to make one # of freeze-dried. That makes the price more palatable. To feed my dogs a topping it 90-100 $ a month. It's tough on my budget but I don’t drink or go to Starbucks. My dogs living better makes me happy. They claim it helps with dog allergies, but I have not had that result. Dogs love the food. I do not feed their food wet. I only use this food as a topper.

I am very surprised to see these negative reviews, my dog LOVES this food! It is expensive but I thought I would give it a try and he went crazy for it. I have been mixing it with his dry food because I can’t afford to give him just the Dr. Marty’s (he is a big boy). I first ordered the 3 bags and he loved it and the order shipped fast with no problems. I then ordered the 6 bags and no problems. I just ordered the 9 bags because I feel great about how much my dog likes it and he is more active and excited to eat. Thanks for making a healthy choice for my fur baby! 🐶

The product itself is very good and my dog liked it. She suffers from multiple food allergies so it is tough to find one that works for her. The price is daunting and I can only feed a half portion each meal. What I really didn't like was the strong arm sales pitch you get from them. Telling you they could run out of product unless you become a member and subscribe. They also want you to sign up for their other services with the promise of additional discounts on the food. I don't debate the quality of the food but if you are a quality company this kind of behavior seems off to me. I will be looking elsewhere.

My dogs love the food. But they have a very strange way of treating their loyal customers. I had been ordering their food for 5 years, and then all of a sudden they started refunding my orders, and would not let me place another order. I call customer support and they tell me they don't know why this is happening and to email support. I email support and never get a response. They won't let me order food over the phone. My wife creates another account and they let her order food just fine.... for a year... and then they refunded her money and won't take her orders anymore either! This is absolutely ridiculous!! Why would you stop selling food to your loyal customers????

I have contacted customer service numerous times and provided necessary information. They are unable to find my purchase. This product has made my dog so much worse, constantly scratching. Would not recommend this company.

This food is marketed as a healthy source of nutrition for dogs. IT IS NOT! It contains 33 percent fat which has the potential to cause pancreatitis in canines. Despite the fact that my dog loved it, she became seriously ill within a month of consuming it. Find a low fat alternative.

After reading so many positive reviews I purchased Dr. Marty cat food. My cat did not eat it, so I tried to give it to stray cats, even stray cats did not eat it. This is high price food that none of my cat or stray cat will touch.
