    So very expensive! I am a senior citizen on a fixed income. I am currently feeding eight cats, four of my own and four that were abandoned by neighbors who up and moved out and left them to starve. Unfortunately, due to the extremely high cost, I cannot possibly afford to keep feeding this cat food to my animals. And the streets that I have taken in. There must be something that could lower the cost of this. Somehow. It is just so overpriced.

    I’m very disappointed with my experience, I purchased dog food from this company for $96, and unfortunately, my dog did not like it. She only ate about half of the first bag and refused to eat the rest, leaving two and a half bags unused. When I contacted the company, they gave me two options: either return the remaining food at my own expense or accept only a 30% refund. I chose to return the product, but it cost me $50 out of pocket just for shipping. In the end, I paid a significant amount just to return a product that didn’t work for my dog, while the company keeps the food and issues a refund. This feels unfair and not customer-friendly.

    First customer service is horrible, they all try to convince you to keep it and keep trying, our 13 year old poodle ended up with pancreatitis, she loves to eat anything. Now she is on a very strict and expensive diet, Our doodle will not even eat her food if I crush Dr Marty's and put it on. It's been over 39 days and I just want to return it. They do not cover the return fee but will offer 30% of what you paid for the food. It's not healthy for your babies as it contains fat. I would not recommend. My daughter is a vet tech and scolded me for buying this for our babies. They both are now on prescription food. :-(

    I bought this based on a recommendation from Cesar Millan, and then from my friend who uses it. The bag of Essential Wellness is 33% crude fat!!! Unless your dog is a working dog or high energy, just way too much crude fat. I have an 8 lb Shih Tzu, and my research on this tells me that food is very bad for him. Even the small breed is 27%. For perspective, it should be as low as 15%, but maximum 20%. It makes me question whether Dr. Marty is actually a veterinarian, or if he just doesn't care. How could a legitimate veterinarian who cares about animals produce such an unhealthy product that can potentially make animals sick? And shame on Cesar Millan for promoting this.

    The Nature’s Blend product is decent, and I would still consider purchasing it for him. However, the dental chews caused a very negative reaction - he became quite sick, was vomiting pieces, and stayed unwell for several days.

    Recently, within the last couple days Dr Marty's has declined to accept Costco Visa cards for payment. After days of trying to renew my subscription I have had for over a year now, credit card charges used the Cost card have been declined. A Dr Marty representative confirms that this policy is in effect. So if you order with Dr Martys has been paid with a Costco Visa card and been declined, this is why.

    Very expensive. And predatory company. So expensive for the amount of food you get. It's better to get a pack of chicken and boil it for your own dog food much cheaper. This company has no idea what it workers are doing. Mix boiled chicken rice and carrots for your dog cost you 12$ for 2 weeks and you as your love for your dog into it. Trust me Dr. Marty could care less about your pets. They only care about profit. Please stay away for your pet's health.

    I bought Dr. Mary Nature's Feast Cat Food as I thought it might be healthier, as my cats are getting older, and are slightly plump. 1 cat ate a little, and will not touch it anymore. The other cat ate some, then threw up for about 15 minutes, the little she had eaten. I feed some stray cats and backyard wildlife as well: skunks, squirrels, possums, etc. They have eaten the other cat food I put out for them, will not touch this food. It is all that is left in the bowl. Have other experienced this same disappointment?

    I gave this review a 1 because I bought around $70 worth of cat food and my cat would not eat it so when I went to send it all back, found out they will not pay for the shipping. Therefore, it was going to cost me $50 to ship it back. Now I am stuck with it and out all that money. I got screwed and am a very pissed off consumer. 🤬

    We bought this thinking it would benefit our mix chihuahua’s diet and overall health. We were so wrong. My dog didn’t love it and after some time he was very reluctant to eat it. Then, he had a blood work done showing he was staying having kidney problems. This dog food was the only new thing we introduced to his diet, so we knew it was the culprit. I called to customer service. A very annoyed agent answered my call and didn’t care at all about what I had to say.

    Sort of a ripoff because they sent $95 of product even though I had only ordered $35. I had to cover shipping to return - with signature that cost me $35 so I am out $35 and got nothing! Really disappointed because Cesar Milan pitched this on TV so I expected good faith. Return was easy but again, I'm out $35.

    Don’t be misled. If Dr. Marty's dog food doesn’t agree with your dog they will only refund 30% of your money back if you choose to keep it. You pay shipping for a full refund. I should have known better than to order something so expensive thru Instagram. Read reviews.

    I’ve been using Dr. Marty products for a little over three years now. The price just seems to keep going higher and higher. Today I went to order food and it was $67 for a 16 ounce bag of dog food. Unfortunately, I can no longer afford to buy Dr. Marty products. Choice filet mignon don’t cost $67 a pound. Fresh Atlantic salmon, does not cost $67 a pound about half of that. The pricing is just become ridiculous.

    My dogs love! It's not so expensive if you order 6 bags at a time. I tried to go back to kibble but my dogs won't touch it after having Dr Marty's... so now I mix a little kibble in but they tend to just eat round the kibble unless they are super hungry.

    At first I thought this product might be great. So I ignored my instincts and bought the introductory package of six bags. When they arrived, my dog, a miniature schnauzer, refused to eat it. He wouldn't take it in any form wet dry or as a treat. I kept trying all the different methods the company recommended to introduce the dog to this product. I finally gave up… However it was after the 90 day moneyback guarantee window. When I contacted Customer Service at Dr. Marty's, they flat out refused any kind of refund even if I agreed to return all the unused product. In retrospect, I would never ever recommend this product. It's a gimmick. And it's outrageously high priced. You can get healthy balanced dog food for 1/10 the price. Do not, I repeat do not be led by this schmaltzy come on by Dr. Marty himself. He's making millions, and his product is not worth that price!

    I’m sorry I introduced my Golden Retriever to Dr. Marty’s dog food. She absolutely loves it! Numerous times during the day she will go up to the bag indicating she wants more! The downside for me is I know I can’t keep feeding her this food, due to the expense. I thought I would order it as a treat not expecting her reaction. I’m on a fixed budget relying on Social Security. My heart hurts seeing her enjoying something so much. If I could afford this she would get this food for the rest of her life!❤️

    We've feed our pup Dr. Marty's for 4 years. He loves it. We feed half Dr. Marty and half Farmer's Dog. He could not be healthier. I don't understand the negative comments. Not all dogs like the same food. I also would like to know why Consumer Affairs listed "Only sells foods for dogs and cats" as a CON on the Dr. Marty's profile. How is that a negative? Is it a CON if a tire store does not sell cars?

    The product itself is very good and my dog liked it. She suffers from multiple food allergies so it is tough to find one that works for her. The price is daunting and I can only feed a half portion each meal. What I really didn't like was the strong arm sales pitch you get from them. Telling you they could run out of product unless you become a member and subscribe. They also want you to sign up for their other services with the promise of additional discounts on the food. I don't debate the quality of the food but if you are a quality company this kind of behavior seems off to me. I will be looking elsewhere.

    My dogs love the food. But they have a very strange way of treating their loyal customers. I had been ordering their food for 5 years, and then all of a sudden they started refunding my orders, and would not let me place another order. I call customer support and they tell me they don't know why this is happening and to email support. I email support and never get a response. They won't let me order food over the phone. My wife creates another account and they let her order food just fine.... for a year... and then they refunded her money and won't take her orders anymore either! This is absolutely ridiculous!! Why would you stop selling food to your loyal customers????

    This food is marketed as a healthy source of nutrition for dogs. IT IS NOT! It contains 33 percent fat which has the potential to cause pancreatitis in canines. Despite the fact that my dog loved it, she became seriously ill within a month of consuming it. Find a low fat alternative.

    After reading so many positive reviews I purchased Dr. Marty cat food. My cat did not eat it, so I tried to give it to stray cats, even stray cats did not eat it. This is high price food that none of my cat or stray cat will touch.

    My dogs have been on Dr. Marty’s food for several months. But to be honest we are moving away from using Dr. Marty’s food. Mainly because of their company practices. I have had trouble receiving my orders on time and it has been an arduous process. This last time they told me it was on back order and that was why it was late, at this time it was 12 days late, said the problem was shipping. They could not even tell me who the company it was doing the shipping, which told me they haven’t even shipped it yet. Getting different answers seemed kind of sketchy to me, so now I need to be concerned about the product. I have to wait 7-10 days to get my money back. Be cautious.

    While it may be a good product, it costs over $30.00 per pound after a 54% discount? That's ridiculous! King Salmon doesn't cost as much and I'm not going to serve that to my dog. So after the 54% discount goes away, what is the price, $65.00 per pound? That's more than the price of Costco real Kobe Beef Ribeye from Japan. I can think of a hundred ways to make fresh nutritional food for my dog at a way lower cost than Dr Marty's one time 54% discount.

    My dog was experiencing age related walking problems, and I bought the 3 bag package. After one half month, I did not notice any improvement in her condition so I called customer service (CS) to request a refund. CS said to use it till end of 90 day then call back if there was no improvement and request a refund. After 2 1/4 bags, I called back and requested full refund. Caution: you have to return empty and full bags to receive full refund??, but you have to pay for return shipping. Loophole?? Who keeps empty bags? As I only had 1 bag left, I only got a 30% refund.

    Hi Dr. Marty, I just wanted to let you know that I’ve seen a big difference in my cat since she’s been eating your food more regularly. Her appetite is better, she’s lost some weight, her coat is soft and shiny, and she hasn’t had any accidents at all. Even her digestion looks much better! I really wish the price could be a little lower or that the cat food came in a bigger bag since my cat eats small amounts throughout the day. But overall, I’m so happy with how healthy she looks and feels. She’s 13 years old now and doing so well. Thank you for making such a great product for cats!     I ordered 4 bags. I ordered 4 bags online and bought one locally. The bag I bought locally and got first, my girl ate it and I was happy. Started the second bag and she wouldn't eat it anymore. Mixed with previous food and she still didn't eat. Requested a refund on the remaining 3 costly bags I have, and only got an email texting me to add it to her food small amount and then add more. I didn't need that advice. I want a refund and I am not getting any information about how to return the 3 expensive bags. Getting crickets.....disappointing, very!!

    So far my dog has started consuming too much water...never did this with FreshPet, I have only added Dr Marty along with my FreshPet...I have also started giving her the treats, so I am curious to know if this is the reason for more water and double the urination.
