I placed an order on Saturday and they allowed the order to be specified as deliver today. I then literally got 6 phone calls from 3 different customer reps saying it couldn’t be delivered on Saturday or Sunday and promising it would be delivered Monday. (Note: the different reps were not communicating with each other and were undoing changes other reps has made. A COMPLETE CLUSTER!! I then got another call from them today (Monday) saying there was no way to get it delivered today, even if we changed the floral arrangement. At that point I canceled the order and called a florist local to my destination, which I should’ve done in the beginning, will do so from now on, and suggest you do so too!!

My brother and I ordered flowers for our mother for Mother's Day. They were scheduled for delivery on Mother's Day, and we received a message that the flowers had been delivered. The flowers never arrived--despite the message saying that they had been delivered! About the best thing that I can say about ProFlowers was that they took my word that the flowers had not been delivered (since their system said that they had) and promptly issued a refund.

Last week I ordered a small bouquet of flowers to be delivered for Mother's Day on 5/11. I paid $80. On 5/11 I actually received a confirmation email saying that they were delivered. However, when I called my in-laws they said they hadn't gotten anything, and they even checked their Ring camera and saw no deliveries. How in the world can a company send a 'Delivered' confirmation email based on nothing? I sent two emails to their Help Desk about this and it's been 5 days with no response. I ended up calling their call center and fortunately got my $80 credited back. Unbelievable. Pure theft and lies.

Ten years ago this was a good company with quality flowers and fairly decent customer service. The problems were in the minority. Since they were bought by FTD a few years ago, this company has nosedived into a scam. They have ruined my last four orders and after 15 years dealing with company, I'm done. Last year for Valentine's and my mother's 100th birthday, both deliveries were very late, and the flowers were old or dead (roses), with brown curling leaves, no greenery, and in one order, the heads fell off the day after she opened them.
This year, same thing. Valentines they missed the delivery date by over 3 days and the first flowers were dead on arrival and replacement delivery was a third-rate rose bouquet. For Mother's Day and Mom's 101 birthday, they haven't even shipped them yet and they're 3 days late. Customer service is wretched, they speak poor English and talk fast so you can't understand them, and they can't understand you.
Today one tried to tell me they were out for delivery and I know from UPS tracking they haven't even been picked up yet, while the ProFlowers site says "shipped". First call was dropped mid-call, second call the tech rang off to check something and when she came back, I could hear her but she couldn't hear me and hung up. Mom's birthday and Mother's Day has passed, I have no idea when the flowers will show up, and if they are true to form, they'll be dead or lousy. And this cost $135. This isn't the same company anymore, they have lousy service and ship garbage for top dollar. My fault for giving them four chances and they ruined each one. I'm done, and if you're smart, you'll take your money elsewhere. Next stop, Better Business Bureau.

I placed an order with ProFlowers on 5/6/2024 for Roses to be delivered for Mother's Day. The delivery date was to be 5/10/2024. I received an email confirmation from them and my credit card was charged for the purchase. I received an email on Thursday 5/9/2024 that the order had shipped. When I tried to track the order on UPS, it showed that the order had not been picked up. I waited all day Friday with no delivery. Saturday, I checked the status again and it still had no pickup by UPS.
I called ProFlowers at 9:20am and the agent could see that the order had not been picked up. I asked them to cancel the order and refund my money as I did not want the flowers late, nor did I want that box that had been packaged since Wednesday or Thursday. I was told that it would be done and my credit card would be refunded. When I asked for a confirmation number, he told me that it would be put in the notes on my order and if I needed to call back the next agent could reference that.
On Sunday I found an email that came late Saturday from UPS saying the order had been picked up and would deliver on Monday. The UPS tracking shows it was picked up at 8:43pm Saturday night, almost 12 hours after I had asked to cancel due to not arriving on time. I called again Sunday and could not get through to anyone but the automated attendant and left a message about the issue. I did not receive a call back as was verbally told on the message, I received an email that stated the order had shipped and nothing could be done.
I waited until the flowers came on Monday to see what condition they were in. When we opened the box, the flowers were hot and wilted. Essentially we got nothing for our money. I attempted to call again, but could not get through the automated attendant. So much for customer service and providing any value. I have Pictures, receipt, emails, and phone records of my attempt to rectify this, however I cannot get through. I will contact my credit card to see if they can get my money back and attempt to post my experience so hopefully others will not get scammed as I did. I can only post 1 or 2 of the pictures as they are too large and I do not want to modify.

A close family friend lost her life and I wanted to send flowers. I checked with three different flower delivery services who all stated that they could not deliver to the relatively rural address, 15 minutes outside of an urban center. ProFlowers.com did not say that they couldn’t deliver to the address, so I ordered through them. I kept tracking the delivery and at 9:30 PM, after the delivery was already supposed to have happened, I called customer service. While on the phone with customer service they told me that they had sent me an email stating that no local florist could deliver to the address.
While on the phone still, I checked my email and saw that they sent the email as I was speaking to them. I don’t know how long I would’ve had to wait for this company to tell me that they were unable to deliver the flowers during this traumatic time, but I canceled my order and was told that I would be refunded in 3 to 5 business days. It’s one thing to receive bad service on an otherwise good day, it’s much worse when You receive bad service from a flower company that you have paid to send condolence flowers for a death in the family. Since I almost never order flowers, I asked them to just credit my card. After 2 calls to customer service and lengthy conversations with individuals I couldn’t understand, they told me that it was my choice whether to use the credit or not. They offered nothing except that comment.
When the flowers were delivered, several of the flowers were different and the unique ones were missing. I understand that sometimes a substitute may be used, but then they shouldn’t show the photo with them in the bouquet. Bait and switch is not the way to run a business. But before I purchased it, I did a search on the item and found a PROFLOWERS deal for the same item with $10 off coupon. Lord knows I should have checked here before ordering. 4-2-2024 Placed order (pd extra) for Mother’s most probable last birthday here on earth. I then received an email stating “We have it from here”. The delivery did not show-I got no call so I could make other arrangements, I get an email the day of-later in day I might add-“we can’t deliver-do you approve it being sent UPS & it will get to her a week later?” Really, Are you serious? & Charldon (CSR) from ProFlowers says “It is an isolated case”. FOR REAL ISOLATED CASE BASED OFF of 2,116 reviews, it’s not isolated.
They didn’t offer anything & acted like it was no big deal. Not even a courtesy phone call to me so I could make other arrangements or my mother to let her know that she has been thought of by her daughter but they (proflowers) can’t provide her delivery until later. I sent 3 emails & their response was 1 automated email. So then I called & he (Charldon) even spoke automated & could have gave a damn. It is 2024 & if their computer system can’t refuse an order based off of not being able to deliver to an address-due to NO florist in the area that will deal with them, then they shouldn’t be in business.
This is people’s feelings & lives they are dealing with. They are in the business to handle most often sensitive situations & it is disgraceful how they are running and ruining things. Unfortunately I couldn’t make it in town the day of my moms BD, & I relied on PROFLOWERS to deliver what they advertised & what I paid for. MY MOM probably SAT THERE ALL DAY THINKING HER BIRTHDAY & MOST Probably HERSELF WAS Forgotten & not important enough. MY HEART ACHES FOR ANY NEGATIVE SHE FELT…If it wasn’t for her being SICK MAYBE I would feel differently but I doubt it. The worst part is I GET NO DO OVERS - THANKS to PROFLOWERS!! And they DON’T even CARE!
All I can think of is GREED, that is the only thing that it can be! If it wasn’t GREED then they Would have their computer system set up to refuse/not allow an order to go through that they can’t deliver as promised and if they don’t have anyone in the zip code to fulfill the order. This was annoying, but they offered me a $10 refund so I accepted this. The next day, I received an email saying "sorry, your gift has been delayed and will arrive on 4/4" — which is the date it was supposed to arrive all along! So, I thought everything worked out. Then, two days later, I get another email saying they can't deliver on the initial date and can deliver in "the next 3 days." I replied asking what on earth was going on. I got a response that didn't answer my question whatsoever or confirm when the flowers would arrive.
Two days later (the day before the flowers are supposed to arrive), I get ANOTHER email saying the item is unavailable and will be delivered in the next 3 days. Obviously at this point, none of these emails make sense so I call them. They tell me that "there is no florist available in the zip code for that day," which is absurd because I had to give them the zip code to even look at flowers when I ordered. Eventually, they were able to send a different bouquet the day AFTER my friend's surgery, which is better than nothing but still terrible overall. When I went out front, I discovered them and we were both surprised, to see they were delivered earlier than expected. Then, as I was trimming the stems, as the directions advised, many of the leaves of the roses were dropping off. I don't mean just the outer leaves, as advised, but several leaves off of each rose, dropped off! Now, I'm seeing that many more leaves of each rose, have dropped off daily. These roses are obviously old, for this to continue to happen. Because of this extremely disappointing experience with Proflowers, he will not be doing business with them, anymore.

I live in upstate NY where it was in the low 20s. The flowers were sitting outside at my door for hours because I was not expecting them. To make matters worse the quality of the flowers was deplorable. I was horrified when my wife opened them. I was so ashamed and embarrassed to even present these wilted half dead flowers to my wife especially because she deserved so much better after all she does for our family. ProFlowers should be ashamed of themselves. When I complained to customer service their solution was to offer me a 30% refund as if that was going to make everything better. The delivery is headed to a school and schools are going remote and no one will be there to accept the delivery. The person at the call center sounded like it was his first day at the job. Initially, I asked to change the date to the following day but was denied because the order was "printed" then I asked for a refund, it is currently being processed. But I will not get a full refund because the order was "printed." Unfortunately, I cannot predict the weather but I wish there was a bit more flexibility for situations like this and not being denied simply because the order was "printed." Please, Pro Flowers, make this right and process a full refund.

We like to use a local florist, but we needed these flowers on a Monday and both the local places were closed. ProFlowers advertised a beautiful, simple arrangement in a low, wide vase with a classy ribbon. It was a masculine arrangement with natural white and green flowers and greenery. What came was a cheap, standard vase with a thin, Kelly green ribbon. Instead of hydrangea, zinnea and peony, there were carnations, small mums, and two tired roses, all of it obviously died with green food coloring. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! I ordered flowers to be delivered to my daughter for her birthday a week in advance. They were not delivered, claiming that they couldn't get into her gated community. There is clearly an entryway for delivery people, with a call-box. I spoke with customer service and, of course, they "apologize for the inconvenience"! It's not inconvenience, it's incompetence!! ProFlowers blamed the local florist, but I had to remind them that my business was with THEM, and they are ultimately responsible. They promised me that an upgraded arrangement of flowers would be delivered the next morning, BUT THE SAME THING HAPPENED!
I had to call my daughter to get her to open the gate for the clueless delivery person, thereby ruining the surprise. Finally, the flowers that were delivered look nothing like the picture on-line. "Janine" told me they would email me once they were able to locate my order/speak with the florist. An hour later, I receive another email that my order had been delivered. I call recipient, no sign of any flowers. My recipient was home all day (they're caring for an ill elderly woman, there is someone home at all times) with a screen door so they can see any potential deliveries.
I verified the address with my recipient (which customer care never did with me) in case I entered something incorrectly, and it appeared I gave the correct address to ProFlowers. Aside from the "no one's home" ** that some services pull, they are leaving them on the porch anyway due to COVID policies. I call my recipient again who confirmed no flowers. I call Customer Care once more and speak with "Angela" who also tries to reach the florist with no luck. I asked "Angela" if the florists have a certain timeframe they have to respond to ProFlowers by so they are accountable for any errors. "Angela" claims they do. I didn't believe "Angela". I realize many businesses are short staffed, and if that is the case, ok, but communicate if your driver got lost, driver is running behind, the florist shop burned down, etc. It's not ok to be MIA when people pay a lot of money for goods that were not received.
I asked if "Angela" could tell me which florist they used so I could get in touch with them directly to find out/resolve the issue and she could not tell me. I understand, but at the same time, I felt like "Janine" and "Angela" were feeding me some ** when THEY couldn't get in touch with the florist. I called my bank and asked for a charge back. They wanted me to still pay for some flowers I didn’t not pay to get sent out the next day. For a few years, ProFlowers had provided excellent service with very nice arrangements. My most recent order, however, will keep me from doing business with this company again. I ordered flowers for our anniversary with a specific delivery date. Then, I received an email that the flowers could not actually be delivered as promised. This can happen, I am sure, with a business this large and complicated. I got online and asked for the order to be cancelled in a chat. I was assured that the order actually could be delivered on time. My skepticism was addressed by the explanation that a different florist would be utilized.
Today, you guessed it, I received an email saying that the delivery could not be made- they were not able to secure another florist in our area. I get it that there can be hiccups. Just don't lie to me and promise something that cannot be delivered. If this sounds overly critical or coming from someone whose expectations are just too high, I understand. Just don't count on ProFlowers when it "absolutely, positively needs to get there" to borrow another company's line.

On Monday, May10th in the afternoon I received an email from ProFlowers that they were unable to fulfil my order asking me if I would like a refund or to make another selection. My mother was at home on mothers day without a gift. I felt terrible. I told Pro flowers that they should send the flowers as soon as available without charge for their failure to deliver. I was perfectly happy to pay for the services I requested and was promised but when they did not live up to their promise to deliver by Mother's Day I felt they should make it right.
I own a business and if can not live up to something that I have promised a client then I reimburse the client and make it up to them in some tangible way. What was delivered were 12 red roses on the day after Mother's Day. Additionally, Proflowers did not contact me concerning the extra money I had paid. It seems to me that had I not stayed on top of this and challenged them not automatically reimbursing me, they might have not done it at all. They failed to honor the delivery date in the confirmation. They failed to honor the commitment to deliver a specific type and quantity of flower. Their requirement to accept that there may be a substitution is nothing more than a bait-and-switch tactic. I will not use them again. They didn't even come on the correct day and when I messaged them about it they said even though it said Monday on the tracker it will still get here on time Sunday. (Aka Mother's Day) That wasn't the case. When they arrived at my mother's a day later that's what they were..Reference the above statement! I am truly outraged.
I have reached out multiple times now because I want a full refund. Their website states they give refunds but they may be the company that doesn't follow through with that statement. The flowers were stuck in a box with a vase, some chocolates and no water at all! The stems weren't even in a plastic bag; just in open air inside the box. Flowers do not survive overnight without water. If a company is going to ship flowers someone needs to figure out how to keep the stems moist enough for the flowers to survive. I was so excited to open them up and call her to let her know that I had received them! I opened the box up to find DEAD, ROTTEN, MUSHY FLOWERS! Most looked like dead weeds! I have pictures of exactly how they arrived and it was so disappointing and frankly I was shocked that anyone would charge anything for these dead weeds with a few roses thrown in.
As soon as I picked up the white roses all the petals came off!!! There is 2 of the 3 yellow roses that were intact, but brown on the bottom which turn out to be mushy and gross! They had to let my daughter know how these arrived and she broke down in tears so hurt and disappointed because she wanted it to be perfect for me! I told her she needs to call and get her money back! She was too upset so I called and spoke to someone who said her name was Amy. She was nice, but English is not her first language! At first she said my daughter could get a partial refund!!! I told her that wasn’t acceptable. Then she agreed to do a full refund (hopefully tomorrow it will be given back on my daughter’s card)! I said if they were a decent company they would give my daughter a full refund and resend the flowers she actually picked that aren’t dead, but she said absolutely not!

Very dissatisfied with an order I placed through ProFlowers. The order was placed on February 10 for delivery on February 16. I received an email on 2/15 stating "Your order is on its way", noting weather conditions along the route that might delay delivery, but was "on track". Then on 2/17, I received an email stating that the delivery was unable to be made due to inability to "secure a local florist in that area". I find it hard to believe there is no local florist in or near Apollo Beach, Florida. Two options were presented – I could cancel and receive full refund or the item would be delivered within the next 3 days and a $10 refund would be applied. I opted for the 3 day, $10 refund option, which somehow was now referencing a different order no.
Then on 2/25 I received an email stating that the exact item I ordered was unavailable and a "similar" item was substituted, referencing yet another order no. I did not authorize this nor was that item ever received. Then on 2/25 at 1:50 am I received an email referencing yet another order no. apologizing that my experience did not meet expectations and it would immediately be rectified by sending a "re-delivery order" at equal or greater value than the original order. Then on 2/28 I called and spoke with Sai who yet again "re-ordered" referencing yet another order no. with a delivery date of 3/9. I mentioned that the $10 had not been applied to my account, and that I was extremely unhappy with the service I had received, Sai offered a discount of $21.68.
So to summarize, I placed the initial order on 2/10 and the item was not actually delivered until 3/9, nearly a full month later. In addition, the item that was delivered does not appear to be a "bonsai" - it looks like someone plopped a shrub into a pot and trimmed it. In addition, when the package was received, it was not marked with any sort of notation denoting fragile or this end up so the delivery person left it on its side and the dirt spilled out.
I can honestly say I will NOT use ProFlowers or FTD again and I will alert my friends and family to also not purchase anything from either of those. Interesting that when I did call customer support on 3/8 to ensure the item would be delivered on 3/9, the recording says voted best by JD Power & Associates. Given my experience, I'm surprised that is the case. And I have used other internet flower delivery services in the past with no issues such as I experienced with ProFlowers. I even sent a letter to the Charlie Cole, CEO of FTD their parent company summarizing my experience. No response.

Updated tracking information was never updated 24 hours prior to delivery. When I ordered online, the immediately removed from my checking account, but now, it seems customer service makes no effort in returning any money for my inconvenience and the flowers that were never delivered. Terrible business, I should have just shopped local and driven 2000 miles and delivered them myself, someone is always looking to rip off good Americans. This company is a disgrace.

I ordered flowers to be delivered to a residence on a Thursday. Thursday came and went, no text or anything acknowledging receipt by my friend. Friday I inquired to my friend if she got them - she did not. Friday I contact customer support and they apologized and said they would deliver them that day with an upgrade. I agreed. Friday came and went, again no text. Monday I inquired again - "Did you get the flowers?" "NO!" (At NO time did Proflowers reach out to me to let me know there were any issues.)
Monday morning, once again I contact customer support and they once again have no idea what's going on but say they will deliver them to her office on Monday. Did they ever show up? NOPE. Further - I was STILL not contacted to be informed of any issues. ProFlowers had no excuses and offered to attempt delivery again. I told them at that point I wanted a refund. The agent said he would send me a confirmation. Did I ever get that confirmation? NOPE - once again. I have never dealt with a more incompetent company in my entire life. They not only ruined any sort of surprise for the occasion and made me look like an idiot to my friend, they wasted over an hour of my time dealing with flowers that never arrived.

Today is my wife's birthday. I am waiting for her to be surprised by the doorbell ringing and seeing a beautiful flower arrangement. I got excited when I saw an email arrive saying, "Your flowers have been delivered." I looked outside, thinking maybe they were left on the porch. Nope. No flowers. I should mention that we have a ring doorbell that records activity on our porch.
I called the customer service line and spoke to a representative with a strong accent. She told me the flowers would be delivered later tonight or tomorrow. She could not explain why I got an email saying the flowers were already delivered. I asked her for the name & phone number of the florist who handled my order. I could not make out the name of the florist due to her strong accent. However, she did give me the phone number. I called the number but, alas, no answer. There wasn't even a professional out-going message at the phone number. It may have been someone's cell phone. I left a message but no callback. Thanks, ProFlowers for ruining my wife's birthday!!!!

Now apparently, they contract with local florists. I guess the local florists in Denton never get the order because twice now nothing is delivered after I bought and paid for flowers and got a confirmation. No communication about no delivery, just no flowers ever delivered. ProFlowers used to be a good company that I used for all of my gift giving, but never again. This company is terrible and should not be used. You can now use a local florist at 1/2 of the price and actually get your flowers.

I cannot believe the disappointing customer service from ProFlowers I have received. I placed the order on Thursday, December 10. The arrangement shows as delivered on Friday, December 11. They were not. I called on Saturday, December 12 and spoke to a customer service agent. I was assured that the flowers were on a truck to be delivered that day. Nothing was delivered that day.
I called on the morning of Sunday the 13th when I learned the recipient hadn't received anything. I was told I would get a phone call that day with an update from the florist as to what happened and why they didn't deliver anything. I did not get a call as promised. I called again that evening and spoke to customer service. I asked to speak to a supervisor but was told no, I was assured the person answering the phone could help me. After trying to reach the florist, I was told that my delivery was likely on the truck for delivery, and to give it until 8:00 pm to arrive. No such delivery occurred.
I had a chat conversation with customer service on Monday morning the 14th. I was told that I would get an update either by phone or email same day. I stressed that I wanted the arrangement sent THAT DAY and I wanted a partial refund for all my inconvenience. I was told "not to worry" and it would be taken care of. As the other 3 representatives told me, they were "very sorry" about the problems. As of 5:00 pm, I never received a phone call, nor email.
I had to contact ProFlowers again on Tuesday the 15th and was told that they contacted the local florist who claims it was delivered Saturday evening (a day later than promised but whatever...). I reiterated, they were not received, and there are enough places to hide the delivery on the person's porch to avoid them from being stolen. I was then told that they would have to wait to review the delivery log on Saturday to prove that the arrangement wasn't delivered (presumably because they assume I'm lying about this) before they could offer to send out a new arrangement. They couldn't promise me a call back same day, and will not just go ahead and send a new arrangement for all my trouble.
I have never had so many problems with a delivery. I understand the local florist may be to blame, but ProFlowers has twice promised me a phone call and not followed through. All the while, my sympathy flowers did not get delivered to bring some joy to the recipients. I even sent all of these details to their "wecare@proflowers.com" customer service email address and have had no reply. "We Care"??? I have seen zero evidence of this supposed satisfaction guarantee promise. I will never use ProFlowers again.

I should of looked at the reviews prior to ordering. I purchased $100.00 worth of flowers for my lady on 11.28.2020. I requested that they be delivered on 11.30.2020. I received immediately confirmation of payment and that the order was being created. However, on 11.30.2020 at 2pm it was still showing being created. I called at 6pm and I was told that they were not able to reach the florist due to company policy, but that I should be patient because it was in route and would be delivered by 8pm. So at 7:50pm I called again, because at this time it's a joke, and I was told, "We're are sorry to hear about your experience but we will upgrade your order and have it delivered 1st thing in the morning."
It is now 12/1/2020. A day past the delivery date, I called at 11:00 am, they say once again the order is on the way and that it was in route to be delivered. That they contacted the florist and that it's been sent out. I told them it had to be to my lady by 3pm. They then asked can it be dropped off at the front door. Because they tried calling to deliver the day before which are lies, It was raining and everyone was home, no missed calls or anything.
It is now 2pm, I called to request my money back, they said if it's not there by 3pm they can do that. But what happened to it being on the way and about to be delivered. That status says assigned to florist online, which to me means they have not even sent it out. The 5th person I have talked to at this point tells me the same thing word for word that the last 4 person said, "We are sorry to hear about your experience and we promise that we will make this right for you" xyz and some more nonsense. They read from a script and have no care. I am not sure that they even contact a florist when they put you on hold, I asked for the information and they say they cannot not give that info. out. Bottom line is don't do business with them or those affiliated with their business.

We were assured her gift would be delivered. I ruined the surprise and finally told her to expect a package as it was getting very late in the day and with a east coast/ west coast time difference I had to head to bed. Well today I checked to see what time her gift was delivered only to find out it was not. Hi All, From TX, I placed an order to have flowers delivered to San Bruno, CA. They failed to deliver the flower on the wedding day or even until two days after. Unfortunately, I had to ask for refund after a few days of continuous follow up. When called in the morning, they said it was too early in CA to contact the florist. When called in the afternoon, they said 'we will get back to you'.
When called in the evening, they said it was too late to contact florist. They said that the notes on screen shows incorrect address and unable to contact the recipient. So, I called them the next day and added the recipient in conference call. On further questioning, they insisted that the recipient's address is incorrect and was unable to contact. The recipient confirmed that all the information was correct and NO phone calls were received from anyone on the scheduled day or later. They refused to give me the address or name of the florist who was supposed to deliver.
At this point, I suspected that they may not even have a florist in San Bruno or they never attempted to assign the job to any florist. I feel ProFlowers is too inefficient or they are lying to me. At least some customers may not call back and inquire whether the flowers are delivered. In case no one calls, it is free money for them especially when there is less business due to the Pandemic. Please be aware of this company.

A friend in California ordered flowers to be delivered on my birthday, September 24th. I received a call (my callerID said "FTD" but it was actually ProFlowers). They acknowledged having some difficulties finding a florist to arrange for the delivery so by the time they contacted me it was Tuesday, September 29th and my friend thought the flowers had already been delivered. They wanted to make arrangements to deliver the flowers on Wednesday, the next day. Wednesday and Thursday are not good days for me to receive deliveries because I'm more than an hour away from home babysitting my infant granddaughter. To be accommodating to them since I wasn't available for 2 days, I agreed to stay at home on Friday until the flowers were delivered.
I stayed at home on Friday waiting for the flower delivery but I did need to go out. When I didn't hear from them by 1:30, I called to see if they could give me an idea of how long they would be. They were reluctant to do that but I told them I needed to go out for some business. I did get them to acknowledge they would be there between 4:00 and 5:30. I was quite upset because I had already waited at home until 1:30 but they apparently expected me to wait until 5:30 (all day long) and it would've been too late to handle my business then. The really annoying thing was in the course of the conversation with their representative, it was mentioned that they didn't start delivering until after 11:00. If they had shared that with me on Tuesday when we first spoke, I could've handled my business on Friday between 9 and 11 AM and I could've been at home between 4 and 5:30 like they wanted.
The flowers didn't come- not on Friday, not on Saturday and I "assume" they don't deliver on Sundays. They finally arrived on Monday ( while I was away from home; they left them on my front doorstep and I was informed by my lawn care people working there that there were flowers for me at my front door. I rarely go to my front door (I drive into my garage and go into the house through the garage door entrance) so if my lawn care people hadn't been there to inform me they were there, they probably would've sat there and dried up before I found them. That would've been a shame after the time, effort, and expense my friend went through to arrange for them. They arrived 11 days after my birthday but that includes 2 Sundays that I assume they didn't deliver on. Considering they were sitting outside in the heat for I don't know how long, it was a beautiful arrangement!

I normally use a competitor of ProFlowers for my desired flower deliveries. However, this time I decided to try something different. I wanted flowers sent to my mother for her birthday and due to Covid she's been living out of the city this year. As such, my normal flower delivery company was honest and said they wouldn't be able to get the flowers to her on time, only the day after her birthday. That's when I decided to try ProFlowers instead because even when I provided the location they said the flowers would arrive on her actual birthday. BIG MISTAKE on my part.
The order was placed a week in advance and I monitored its progress. The day of her birthday came and I woke up early to a nice message from ProFlowers saying the flowers had been prepped and were en route to my mother's home. Then nine hours later (far too late in the day) I suddenly received another email from ProFlowers' customer service alerting me that not only were the flowers not on the way but they'd never actually found a florist to fulfil the order in the first place. The message relayed their apologies, offered to send a random replacement "gift box" (no link or preview as to what that gift box would be), and that it would arrive in a couple of days. Otherwise I could request a refund. So not only did they falsely claim they'd be able to fulfil the order, they falsely confirmed it was on its way that morning, when it turned out in the week since I'd placed the order nothing had been achieved.
I would have been better off sticking with my OG florist and have my mother's gift arrive a day late rather than this ridiculous roller coaster. I requested a refund of course, which they provided, but not before they sent another email saying "never mind the flowers are being delivered" (no they were not) and then a follow up email asking about my experience and satisfaction of the delivery. Ask and you shall receive ProFlowers... I consider you a joke. I will never recommend your services or products. Also speaking as a digital marketer, fix your automated email system, as all it did was add salt to the wound.

So, I am actually writing as a recipient of a floral arrangement. Yes, I know the prices cannot be beat - and it's one thing to say it's the thought that counts, but it's really embarrassing when you are putting your own floral arrangement together in front of peers because they know whoever bought them went with the cheapest way to express their thoughts. When you read the website it says the arrangement arrives in cellophane, in a box, you cut the ends, put them in water - and you are good to go!
You have to find scissors, cut the tape on the box, pull out the flowers that are almost mashed down in the plastic, free them from their plastic prison, cut the ends off, go to the break room and get water for the vase - meanwhile all your peers are looking on and giggling because of all the hoops you have to jump through to make your own arrangement - and about 20 - 30 mins later of unwrapping, running, and arranging, you FINALLY have your finished product. Way to cut out the cost of a florist and have that headache passed on to the one you love!
