Cancelled my trial subscription and they refused to refund my money. Poor customer service.

Cancelled free trial the day it was to expire. They billed me anyway. I emailed them and they said my subscription would be cancelled at the end of next billing period and I could continue to use it until then. I just want a refund for which I requested on the same day they billed me. I had not accessed it that day either. Customer Care just keeps repeating themselves and when I ask for management, I got zero response. I hope everyone is aware that this company has zero integrity. I was like they were laughing saying "sorry, too late."

Avoid using PeopleFinders. They make it impossible to CANCEL a trial membership online, in their Chat function, and when you call and get stuck with ridiculous AI responses that hang up on you. Finally I spoke to a human who said he would Cancel the trial. Within seconds I got an alert from my credit card company asking if I approved a $77 fee from PeopleFinders for an annual membership. Identified as Fraud, my credit card was immediately canceled and a week later the replacement arrived so I've had to change every payment method on every account I do business with.

I paid $1 for a trial and since then they keep trying to take nearly $30 out of my account. I looked on my account info on the website and removed my card and it doesn't show I am subscribed to a membership. I emailed and was told the same thing, I am not subscribed to anything. So why are they trying to take money out of my account?!?!

This company does not use dual identity verification processes and accepts stolen credit cards for payment. Despite several attempts to address a fraudulent account that used a stolen credit card they refuse to refund the funds charged. Imagine keeping $9.95 in fraudulent charges in lieu of reputation and good customer service. I will never use this company and I will make sure I tell everyone I know. BTW - I spoke to People's Fraud Department and they said they cannot and do not use dual identity verification. I requested to speak to a supervisor and they hung up on me.

Scammers- you pay for a $0.95 cent lookup with state information and the very next day they sneak in a $24.95 per month charge. They claim you should have cancelled within the 3 day trial. NON-refundable of course. Now I'm expecting these sneaky slimeballs to "never have received" my cancelation today and still charge me.

It's a trap! I don't even know why this website is still in business. I paid 0.95 dollars for one report with no description that I will have to pay 24.97 dollars on monthly subscription after 3 days. Fair enough they charged me this amount and when I tried for cancel it they charged me another 69.95 dollars for upgrade!!! I called them and told me they will not refund cause I agreed to their terms and conditions. I have not agreed to monthly subscription nor requested an upgrade and I have not seen their terms and conditions to agree to 🤣🤣🤣. Don't be scammed.... Stay away

The transparency of the company is fraudulent. They tell you that your single result is .$95 and do not tell you that it is for a 3 day trial. Then they state they have results. Be careful with this because my report just contained the phone number that I searched. It said no results found. Hmmm.... did you have results? I think not.

They ran a report, charged me for the sign up, then the report and the report said they found no information. What a scam! My son was scammed out of 1,800.00. I was trying to find out where the phone number came from. Prior to the purchase, the AI knew there was no data and they should have stated no information available instead of selling me nothing.

These people steal your money; I was charged for six months @ $29.95; I just didn't notice it on my statement. When I did call, they told me there was nothing they can do, as there is no account with my information. No refund; no stopping the service fee.... their business protocol. I am terrified for the number of elderly people they have done this to. I am 78. I have cut back on expenses....and here is almost $30/monthly out the window. This sure sounds illegal to me. Shame on them.

This place is a total scam. Stay away. Will not refund you for accidentally purchasing and extremely unprofessional. They should not be allowed to operate. You can try contacting them via email and phone. They will run you in circles.

While trying to cancel a recurring subscription, I purchased a lifetime membership in error. I was trying to hot cancel and don't even know how I ordered lifetime for 69.95$, the buttons to cancel are entrenched with this expensive purchase, for something I don't even want. I literally canceled 1 minute after the purchase and the customer service is being unhelpful.

Signed up for a one time search and they automatically turned it into a subscription plan. They absolutely never said that it would become a subscription unless you call and cancel or any of those games you usually see and have to follow. They just flat out defrauded me without any warning whatsoever. Tried to fight through PayPal and they won't help, even though I have a letter from People Finders saying I don't have an account with them. Out 30 bucks by a scam. I absolutely did not sign up for a subscription, and the word subscription was never included in anything. Complete scam.

Three days before the trial period ended, I decided to cancel the subscription, but ended up being charged $49 for the monthly, contacted customer service and was told I needed to send a cancellation request via regular mail. Absolutely unacceptable fraudulently withdrawing money from my account after I canceled before my free trial ended. Then have the nerve to tell me I can't do this online and have my refund within a few days, I have to go through regular mail. This company is garbage. Stay away from it.

I paid $3.95 for a reverse number look-up and got what I already know...the person's name and address. There was no recognizable toggle to elect a membership and I was charged 3 days later for a $29.99 subscription. When I called to have it cancelled and figure out how this happened, the representative said it was in their terms of service agreement. I actually read it completely BEFORE I paid the $3.95 and the agreement said: MEMBERSHIP SUBSCRIPTIONS; CHARGES ON YOUR BILLING ACCOUNT; REFUND POLICY.

Hidden “membership” charges with no prompt/way to cancel on the app, as I did request cancellation on the day I set up the account and was later billed. Customer service rep was horribly rude as well.

When you use their services for a one time search of less than $5, they secretly sign you up for a monthly membership of about $30 but does not alert you with any emails or notices. Just taking people's money and hope They don’t notice on their credit card. SCAMMERS.

I believe they are deceptive. I didn't sign up for a recurring service but that is what occurred. Then, when I went to cancel the service, they have one of these pop-ups that looks like it is the button to cancel but actually signs you up for additional services. I accidentally clicked it. I called in to try to get the charges reversed but their AI menu took me in circles and wouldn't send me to an actual person (even though it said it would multiple times). After numerous email messages back and forth, they refused to offer a refund because it is "against policy". Predatory practices and lack of good faith.

Go ahead and Google Peoplefinders signed me up for a membership without my consent. It's common knowledge with a quick search. Wish I knew that. I'm out $4 which I agreed to for a one time fee to get something relatively useless, just see what info they had on me. Now I'm out $30 for a service I never signed up for which they refuse to refund.

I purchased plan of $29 to find my family which I didn’t not because they didn’t have anything but I don’t mind because I bought it, next month they charged me again because I forgot to cancel which I totally understand but when I tried to cancel my membership I don’t know somehow page popped up and in 2 seconds I saw my credit card was charged with $69. I right away called them about the accidental purchase and disputed the transaction but it’s almost a month they haven’t refunded and even blocked my access because I disputed the transaction with my credit card company even though the plan was for lifetime.

PeopleFinders.com is a company that appears to charge you $0.95 for a single lookup, while in reality, it is a $24.95 monthly charge unless you cancel within two days. They refuse to provide any refund, then disclose hidden information about charges that you failed to see. Also, their database is not up to date as the information I was attempting to find was WRONG.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. I signed up with this company 3 days age. The information they provide is very limited and many times there's no info at all. I called to cancel and spoke to a supervisor who explained that they only provide "public information". Why pay them, when you can find the same info on a Google search??

I tried the free 3 day trial and disliked the presentation and performance of the search, so immediately cancelled my membership (with confirmation). Peoplefinders still charged for the next month and deny refund request. Beware! Avoid the hook!

Apparently this company hasn’t changed its practices since others have reviewed them. They reeled me in with a $3.95 one time, no subscription obligation (or so I thought) to get one report. 2.5 days later, I was charged $29.95 for a subscription I did not willingly sign up for. I immediately contacted their customer support and they gave me instructions on how to cancel the membership. I asked for a refund and they denied it. I asked them to confirm that the membership was indeed canceled and they said they canceled it, meaning my cancelation in the system did not stick and they were set to charge me again in a month. Stay away from this company! Their service isn’t worth it anyways. I can get better results doing my own google searches for free. Quite the racket they have going.

I feel this site has inaccurate information. Nothing that is helpful. All stuff you can find on your own. And as others have stated the site is misleading you can pay by report a small fee then after 3 days they will charge you at 12:10am so it’s legal. $28 and when you inquire regarding the charge they say it was in the fine print. Too bad. Rude and obnoxious customer service.

Scam! I purchase a single use for 0.95 and days later I got charged for a monthly subscription. I never signed up for a monthly subscription that’s why I paid the 0.95. Also when I searched for the phone that keeps calling me it showed there was information that’s why I paid the 0.95 and after the payment it showed that there was no information about the number. This is a dishonest company trying to steal your money.

I paid 0.95 cents for a free trial and didn't find what I was looking for so I immediately cancelled my free trial and never thought of it again. I even got a confirmation email right away saying it was cancelled. Fast forward seven months and I have been getting charged $14.95 every single month from October-April. It is completely unacceptable to not cancel someone's membership while simultaneously sending me a confirmation email for my cancellation. I am extremely unhappy and feel this business is shady and has stolen from me and I hope they make it right and refund me!

This business is scam. They will start charge you monthly fee for $24.95 without let you know you are actually enrolled into their basic membership and $14.95 for rewarding membership and some kind reinternet charges for $14.95 which I do not even know what that is. Be very careful if you are using their service. They will never email or let let you that you are actually part of their recurring charges.

I paid almost $4 for a membership today and 95% of the information provided was either inaccurate or missing (criminal history) from searches of people I know have them. Rep nor supervisor will refund me. Total definition of Fraud!

I don’t know I had for them that they would be able to track any phone number so I started putting in phone numbers of people that I knew. None of them turned up where I knew they were so I tried myself. Apparently I live on the other coast of the US. Zero out of five, because they any of the five phone numbers.

Great site, just got everything I needed so it was no need for the subscription anymore. Also great customer service, helped me really quick and was so respectful. I would recommend this site to anyone looking for any information they need.

Did a reverse phone search using this excellent service. Unfortunately picked a monthly membership charge instead of a one time search fee. Called it in and they fixed it without any hassle. Great service and great customer service. Thanks.

I didn't want to extend my subscription and was charged anyway. Melissa gave me a refund like I requested. They charged my account when I tried to cancel my free trial and didn't go through. I call last week and the person I talked to didn't complete my request and Melissa took care of it and she was awesome. Still hasn't hit my account but was told it might take a day or two.

She was wonderful, handled my problem very quick and easy. The best customer service I ever experienced. Clear communication, no bad attitude at all. Situation was handled with care. Thank you much! Also I loved PeopleFinders a lot too!

I called to cancel my account, as I had used it for a specific reason, and no longer needed the service you provide. Melissa was very courteous and efficient, and the process was very easy, which I very much appreciated.

Extremely efficient and nice and helpful, I’ve been stressed trying to cancel my membership and she did it kindly and understood my frustration. Also very knowledgeable and answered all questions.
