Checkr uses its artificial intelligence-powered platform to provide a comprehensive view of a candidate's criminal history. It also conducts a Social Security number (SSN) trace, sex offender search, global watchlist search, national criminal search and county criminal search.
Checkr services
Checkr offers a variety of packages and plans designed to meet the unique needs of businesses of all sizes. The company's services are customizable to each client, and it also offers add-on features, such as motor vehicle reports (MVR) and professional license verification.
- Basic+: This is the quickest and most basic package offered and covers SSN trace, sex offender registry, global watchlist records and national criminal records.
- Essential: This is the most popular option, according to Checkr’s site, and it includes a more complete criminal history. This check includes everything from the Basic+ along with unlimited county criminal search.
- Professional: This level of background check includes everything from the first two packages as well as an education verification and current employment verification.
Outside of background checks, Checkr also offers onboarding and employee payment services.

Checkr offers transparent pricing for both individuals and small businesses. For companies that plan to run more than 300 checks per year, discounted volume pricing is available, but you will need to request a specialized quote.
