Very pleasant customer service. It was nice to speak to someone who spoke English and spoken English well. Melissa was very helpful and did not try to sell me anything else and I was issued pretty much a 90% refund within a minute after calling and everything was taken care of. No problems, no hassles, just good quality customer service.

Melissa was wonderful and her customer service was second to none. I wanted to use the trial to see what I would think if it, but I decided it wasn't for me. When I called to try to cancel and revert my charges, she was able to take care of my needs. Ty so much.

I had a little trouble unlocking a phone number after I paid for a search. CSR Melissa went to a lot of trouble to try to remedy the issue. She called in a supervisor, and the difficulty was taken care of. She asked me to try again in about 10 minutes. She was pleasant to talk with and knowledgeable about her job. The whole experience left me feeling positively about Peoplefinders!

Shawn was great, he was very nice, polite and helpful! He cancelled my account and sent a refund to my credit card. I had cancelled my subscription online the same day I started it yet I had a charge on my credit card for $25.95. For some reason your website was not showing my cancellation. So website not so great but Shawn was great.

The experience of having to call customer service is always frustrating. Thankfully, at least the person who helped me when I called today was professional, knew what she was doing, and did it fast. This whole ordeal unfortunately could be a lot more unnecessarily frustrating if it weren't for her pro help, so I am thankful if nothing else, for the help of the rep I was lucky to get on the phone today.

I tried to find my phone using a app on my internet to find my phone, and ended up paying for something I didn't want or need. I thought it was a few cents payment to find my phone then I saw my card was charged for 24.95 for something called PPL Peoplefinders.

I called in to request a refund for unauthorized charges and I was lucky enough to get Elena on the phone. She listened to my concerns and she opened up my account to verify. She then said she was going to put me on a brief hold so that she could go over it with her supervisor. She came back right away and explained how they were going to correct the account and give me a refund. I was so happy that they didn't give me a hard time about my complaint. Refunded the amount of the un-used membership as I thought I signed up for a 7 day less amount trial. Apparently, I did not read the small print. Signed up for Peoplefinders pro. It's $200 a month and I figured I would test it out for a month and cancel if it wasn't what I'd hoped. Well it wasn't what I'd hoped and when I went to cancel they told me I was locked in for 12 months ($2,400!!). I went back and realized they had written 12 months in on the contract and I do blame myself for not looking through it more carefully. Again, I do blame myself and I should have been more savvy to this kind of nonsense. When I contacted them to make sure my contract wasn't renewed in 12 months they told me I have to wait until it's closer to the end of my contract!!! They are really banking on me forgetting about canceling and that's not going to happen. I wish I'd never gotten involved with them

I am not satisfied with the service. It's overcomplicated with little to no information. I am satisfied with the woman that helped me cancel my account and refund my money. I would not recommend using this service. The customer service is the only part that I see as helpful in any way.

So I actually had forgotten or so I thought I had forgotten the email address I used to sign up and once I informed the representative she did acknowledge and empathized with me. I was actually requesting a password change so I could get into the site to cancel my membership as the deal wasn't as good as it made it out to be... However, that isn't what this is about.... The Representative was actually proactive in making sure my membership was cancelled so that I wouldn't have to go through the process of resetting the password to login to my account just to cancel the membership and that actually saved me some time and I appreciated that. Hence the reason 5-star Rating :-).

This site yields lies by omission - Instead providing a false sense of security by inaccurately returning clean background results for convicted rapists, criminals, and batterers! Don't use for dating or otherwise. Customer service representatives rude and apathetic! Obviously unsatisfied, especially as compared to the competitors in this area that outperform the limited, inaccurate, and misleading information provided here. Outperformed by the Competitors, Waste of Money at Best - Find yourself in a vulnerable or dangerous situation at Worst! Don't trust this company.

PeopleFinders reached out to me very quickly and offered a partial refund. I have to credit them for doing something they didn't have to do. Like any service, it's important to be sure that the user understands what is being signed up for. But even the sharpest people sometimes make mistakes, and PeopleFinders was even willing to help out here when the user (my late dad) was at a point in life where he wasn't at his sharpest.

My dad used this one time to try to find an old friend for my mom (who has dementia). Apparently he also unknowingly subscribed to a monthly $25 service which has been hitting my mom's credit card for 2 years now. If my dad had realized what he was signing up for he wouldn't have done this, because he never used the service again. I figured this all out after my dad passed and I was going through finances. My mom needs all the help she can get to pay for assisted living but unbeknownst to her and my dad, they were charged $600 over the last 2 years, to, in effect, run one report.
I don't know what's included in this service exactly but PeopleFinders later offered to email a PDF of that search 2 years ago for an additional fee. Apparently $600 total isn't enough to get access to an old PDF. I've now canceled the account but PeopleFinders should have some common decency and if they see someone isn't using their service after a while, prompt the user to reconsider whether or not they need it. As it is it seems like they're banking on people forgetting to cancel.

I had sent many emails explaining what I tried signing up for online. I found the Customer Number to call. I explained to Ms. ** that I wanted the $1.95 trial to try to find my father and it snowballed into a Premium Membership. And, for that initial offer, it didn't reveal anything pertaining to my Dad and I didn't recognize any of the names. She was so kind and helpful. She listened to my long explanation, due to my disability. I'm so upset about my Dad, being charged for something that I didn't sign up for...she was calming and said she would the care of it. I had deleted the account, so further time she spent with me on the phone. She's an asset to your company and is an experienced Customer Service Representative. I thank her for calming me down and handling my situation promptly!

Quoting from their current website, "There are many reasons to conduct a people search. Many people need to obtain or verify a current address or phone number." Please note they use the phrase 'current address'. This is factually untrue. I believed this, paid $10.75 to find the CURRENT address of a friend who moved a month ago, and didn't receive any current information. I did not receive the product I paid for. This strikes me as false advertising. Upon contacting their 'customer service' team, they gaslighted me with a generic response, refused any refund. They had better hope the $10.75 they refused me is worth the number of negative reviews I will now post. Avoid these liars at all costs!!

The employee was very helpful on the process of my request to cancel my subscription. She was straightforward, kind, and helpful. I really appreciate it. People to communicate with me at a very simple and understandable level. I was very pleased when she offered to cancel things for and give me a refund, even though it was my mistake that I still had a membership. I went through the whole process thinking it was free. At the end it was 1.00 for a week. I paid the dollar. The website said to have to cancel by phone but the answering service tells you to cancel on the homepage at the bottom. Once I tried to cancel I had to log in. It wouldn't let me login with my user name and password, or with my Google account. They charged my account for 21 dollars and change. I haven't used the service since the day I paid a dollar. I have contacted Peoplefinders.com and no response.

Bad experience. Since I have been existing and born this has never happened to me. I signed up for the trial version of this site. And cancelled my membership the same day I signed up because I saw the 24 dollars payment and I knew I couldn’t afford it. Only for me to get ripped of 24 dollars. I have been panicking since I saw the debit. I have sent mails with evidence of cancellation of membership on the same day I signed up for the trial version. The silence is deafening. I have been scammed!???? The good people of the world should come to my aid. I am not finding this funny at all..This is a scam organization..I am contemplating changing my card details and if possible the bank account since confirmation of cancellation of membership is not a criteria for you not be debited. I am in serious pains.

I used People Finders in the past and found the information to be inaccurate and out of date by years. Missing pertinent public information, I obtained on my own. Most recently I attempted to use the source again hoping for more accurate information since much time had gone by and the wave of information available. It was because I could use it quickly and obtain what I thought to be more accurate information. They also had changed format so you could purchase 1 single report for 3.95. Unfortunately, I found the information to still be out of date and inaccurate. After being charged that and then 29.95 for a monthly subscription I tried to cancel by phone sometime between 25th and 31st of December and was told it was put in.
After still being charged I contacted again to cancel and get reimbursed. Same as in the past with little reliability. This was in December 2019 initially, February 2020, April 2020 and again yesterday. I continued to allow the company to make right that cancelation. Today is June 4th and yet I am still being charged monthly with no resolve of the cancelation or the full refund due to their failure. The website clearly shows I have not used since the date I set the account up December 19, 2019. However, the personnel always respond with scripted response that I acknowledge agreement and no record of my calls, as well as they cannot refund.
Tried to give this company another chance and all I got was headache and thus far billed 6 months’ worth of cost for a service I purchase or use. I am yet to get a cancelation or a full refund. June 3rd, I was told as a courtesy will provide 1-month refund. This is turning out show this company is more of a scam than what it advertises and quite frankly is a consumer trap. It would be a good resource given it was accurate and not intent on deceiving the consumer for profit. The obvious scripting by each representative shows further doubt of its validity. Additionally, I have left messages each time for a supervisor to contact because again scripting states no supervisors available. Currently have yet to receive any call backs to resolve.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. I signed up and paid for one month in January, 2020. I cancelled later that month. In February, March, and April they billed my credit card again. My bank flagged some of the charges, but they kept coming. I finally reached someone who agreed to cancel the account. This company engages in completely unethical business practices. There are many more services to help you find people. Use them instead. Don't get ripped off.

Peoplefinders advertised "free" service to look up a person. Once you go through all their processes, you think you're getting your info only to find out on the very last screen that comes up, they're charging you for their service. Where I come from, that's called false advertising, bait & switch, an unethical and illegal. I'm sure the Consumer Fraud Division of the State's Attorney General's office there in Sacramento, CA. would like to investigate Peoplefinders. I'll be submitting my complaint with their office shortly. -Dave.

I used the service of PeopleFinders today for checking basic information about a lady. I applied for a one-time service. I got a pdf file with the name of that lady as title. Once I opened the pdf file, it was done in the name of a gentleman, that is not her husband and not her father. All the basic information was absolutely useless! I did a search myself on the internet and I found the lady on Facebook and also a Company she was part of and the place she is working today!!! I called PeopleFinders, got to speak easily to a courteous assistant and she was nice and did rerun the check, but came back saying that the result was the same! So I told her about my personal search, and asked my money. She told me that this will be effective in 3 days. To be followed.

I looked up a number to locate who is harassing me. They said it was free. Then they claim to have all of the information but now I have to pay for it. Bait and switch. This is nothing but a scam, preying off of people's need to know who is harassing them. Don't waste your time.

I signed up to see if I could find any information on the people that stole a classic car that was left to me by father. The information was inaccurate and unhelpful. I called to cancel and spoke to someone that told me they would cancel but that I would still have access up until the end of the 7-day trial. Checking through my account and I see I have been getting charged for the service. I emailed to let them know of their error and they proceeded to tell me that it was my fault. They said they would not refund my money but they would give me vouchers. I didn't use the service at all after I cancelled so what would I need vouchers for?
This is the worst kind of customer service I have ever had. I didn't use the service beyond the trial days and I called to cancel within the trial days. They can clearly see I did not use the service. It is a rip-off to accept that I am in the wrong and not their employee who failed to cancel it correctly. I suspect they do this routinely, fail to cancel the account correctly, so they can collect extra months of fees and play dumb. Do what's right Peoplefinders and refund me for unused access to a service I didn't use.

I signed up for a free trial for $0.99 to look up a phone number’s owner. Then they offered me to send a “PDF REPORT” via email for an additional $0.50. The pdf was nothing more than the name and the phone number, which I had taken a screenshot for. Had I known I’d get the same information, I wouldn’t have paid for it. To top it off, I canceled the free trial Right away, and they charged me $2.95 for it. I called and the rep Irma told me she was not going to give me my money back because it was stated in my screen that if I cancel the free trial before 3 days I would be charge. I NEVER saw that statement, otherwise why would I pay more to cancel a free trial than what I paid for the service? Total non-sense! They are misleading and their tricks are a total rip off!

They tried to charge me the next day for a monthly fee.. Their information was less than I could find on Facebook.. It locked up my ATM card because of fraud charges! I had to get a new card.. Embarrassing to have Safeway say my card was declined!!!

The site says it can give you birth and death records, which I was told means only whether the person is alive or deceased. None of the information they gave me was above what I found myself, and some was not accurate.

I called to cancel my account completely. I requested to erase all of my personal information such as my name, credit card and home address. I was told that they cannot help me and that my personal information will have to remain in my account even if I don't use it. So I can cancel my personal information from a Gmail account but I cannot from these sleazy people? Do yourselves a favor and do not open an account with them or you'll regret it.

This company solicited me and for a $1 they would check someones files. I paid the dollar and checked that I did not want the service and I've never used it since. Visa/Costco called and wondered about the charge - I didn't even know I was being charged (which is probably my fault) as I did cancel it. From 2018 until today they have nailed me in excess of $800./00ik.

I, like so many others used this shady service to locate the owner of a phone number and thought I was paying a small fee of around $1.50 and months later I see they charged me $24.95 from July through November (a total of $125.00 for NOTHING). When I called them to complain they said they could only credit me for 2 months! What a way to make a living! Who are we going to scam today?! They sound very professional when you talk to them on the phone but they are crooks.
