    I attempted to use my Groupon bucks before the expiration date but the system inexplicably rejected my purchases repeatedly...customer service couldn't help and service escalation took days to try to resolve the problem. I asked for a guarantee that my Groupon bucks not expire while resolving the problem - best they could give was ‘We’ll try’. Groupon bucks were not only eliminated from my account but they were taken before the expiration date. This company is unreliable and dishonest.

    I bought a coupon on July 15th to a local aquatic park for my family who is visiting town. It cost $19. Our swim was scheduled for today the 19th. From July 17th to just before we finally gave up and left I have been trying to redeem my coupon. I cannot get to "My Groupons". I have tried all times of the day. I keep getting the message that "Groupon is TEMPORARILY unavailable." I don't call 3 days a temporary situation. Today I paid full price entry ($26) for five of us to go swimming. The total "BARGAIN" came to $45. What a shame! I have used Groupon Coupons successfully before and thought it was a great idea. Never again.

    I write this to caution people against using Groupons to buy home cleaning services. In the last year, I have attempted no less than 4 times to use Groupon for house cleaning. Each time, the same thing happens: I buy the service from an individual company; A few weeks later I reach out to the house cleaning service to redeem the Groupon; No one from said company responds (by phone or by email) to set up an appointment or if they set up an appt., they don’t show up; I alert Groupon to the problem, which they insist on rectifying by giving me “deal bucks” instead of a refund on my credit card. The whole cycle begins again.

    After this last time — so, after unsuccessfully trying to use these “deal bucks” four times to get my home cleaned — I have demanded that they give me my money back. The “live chat,” operator “Roxanne,” could not honor my request but promised me my case would be escalated to a supervisor who would get back to me and address my concerns, I have already waited 8 days without any kind of response, even though I have written Roxanne three times since our live chat. As Groupon no longer gives consumers the option to speak to them by phone, the “live chat” via email option seems to be the only way to communicate with them. Apparently, this also allows them the means to better ignore customers. The amount of money in question is $52.

    Purchased a Groupon. Found out that I didn't need the service and wanted my money back. Groupon claimed they don't give refunds or transfer the funds to another Groupon. This is a scam, these guys now keep the money for no services render.

    Bad hotel. Stay away. The room was full of bugs. Me and my daughter got multiple bites, we should leave 11 am but we left hours early because of the issue. We got the front desk guy go to the room with us, he suggested make video and photos and he called the supervisor. We stay there only one night... they said I will see my full refund in 5 days on Groupon. After 5 days nothing happen. Groupon said the hotel refusing refund my money but what is the ** part of that I got charged twice for the room. Stay away. That is fraud... Groupon blame hotel for double booking. The hotel blame Groupon and nobody is refunding my money.

    I bought a Groupon for picture framing, but when I got to the store, the prices were so expensive, that it still cost much too much money get something framed, even with the Groupon. I tried to return the Groupon, but there was no one available in Customer Service. When I finally did reach them, I was told that I was ineligible to return the Groupon, because it was outside the window of time when it could be exchanged. I warn anyone to be very careful about doing business with this company. Their practices are unfair and their customer service is awful.

    I brought a Boost Mobile LG phone and I returned it. I got a email saying I will receive my $106 on June 20, 2018 and it only takes 10 business days and it been about a month and I still haven't received my money. I hate to call the Better Business Bureau. I am on a fixed income and this isn't right.

    I wish that I could give them -5 stars, but of course, that is not allowed. My negative experience with Groupon took place July 7, 2018, when I purchased tickets to what I thought was a comedy show because that is what I searched and Michael Blackson and friends came up. The venue was in NYC and that is where I was visiting from North Carolina and upon arrival, we find out it's actually an after party. Nowhere in the Groupon description did it say it was an after party. They left all of the consumers to believe it was a comedy show. We all left and I have been trying to get my money back ever since because Groupon omitted the truth in order to sell more tickets and now they are refusing to take any responsibility or honor a refund based upon their "All Sales are final" policy.

    That is the policy they are hiding behind because they clearly scammed me and others that have complained out of our money. I have spoken with several Groupon representatives through Twitter, Instagram, and even Facebook in which I am now BLOCKED!!! They make it EXTREMELY difficult to get in contact with an actual human on the phone, they force you to "request a call" and any number on the internet DOES NOT WORK for Groupon. That is how you know it is a scam. I wish I would have been smarter about my purchase with Groupon and just found something else to search for activities and entertainment. I will never ever use Groupon again.

    I used to love using Groupon. There are times however when making a purchase it is confusing because it's you need to add names or different information. When I made an error I used to be able to call customer service right away. They were always helpful and corrected it. They now gone to email and live chat. I recently made a purchase of $45. I did not open the voucher and I just needed it not to be in my name. It was to be a gift for my daughter but at the time of purchase I didn't see anywhere I could enter her name. After sending an email immediately and then later contacting live chat I was told it was too late. So they're not what they used to be and I will no longer use them because once your purchase is made in many cases he can't get them to help you to make any corrections and you could be out a lot of money. So I'd be very cautious in using this app and I will no longer do it.

    Horrible company and bad customer service. They are more worried about getting you off their contacts page then trying to answer your question. Don't make a mistake when purchasing a Groupon. They will not give you your money back. I did not realize I could not purchase a Groupon twice for a particular company. They told me it was too bad and read the fine print. Not a good way to keep customers. Each case should be given consideration. This will be my last time using them. You might as well but from the company directly. I now have had to spend almost 200$. Avoid at all cost.

    Took an ad out with Groupon about five months ago for my new hair salon. Never received any money from them although they took Customer’s money saying they would get a discount at my hair salon. Tried contacting them many times. Just get runaround from this place to this place. Even tried to cancel and can’t cancel. I am very flush straight it because it is hurting my business calls and customers to get upset because we say now we don’t except Groupon because we never get any money. If you're business owner please stay away from Groupon. You will be sadly disappointed.

    Do not believe anything Groupon's representatives try to sell you something, because once you'd signed you are doomed. They would let you get out in any under circumstance. Business was sold and I emailed the customers service to close the account, nothing happened. But continued to charge my account regardless. Now we all know why Groupon has lost more than 85 percent of its Market Cap. If they keep this up, they would close soon.

    Groupon and Valley Retreat and Spa in Tarzana, CA - Not happy. I bought a 1 hour massage from Groupon for my wife for $38.00. She went in on Saturday June 30th. You would not accept the voucher from Groupon and charged her $75.00 full price. Now I have a voucher from Groupon that I can not use at your place. This is not right. We will never go back to valley retreat again or Groupon. Be careful everyone. THIS IS RIP OFF. IF I DO NOT GET A FULL REFUND OF MY $38.00 I WILL SUE IN SMALL CLAIMS COURT.

    I have hundreds of dollars stuck on these Groupon deals that I cannot use because of their unfair rules and I have learned my lesson. This company is not as fair or low-priced as they claim to be so be smart when purchasing items from them. Some merchants that I have used Groupon have stated that their price are the same w or without Groupon coupons. It is just their ad tactic, which is true to my several experience. When you buy coupons from them, make sure you are surely going to use them right then and there and don't save them like what I did. So I ended up w all these unused Groupons that I do not know what to do with. Groupon can only let you exchange them for something else within one day of your transaction.

    The movie theatre we went to did not have a good wifi connection so I could not even show them my voucher and they expired! If you can print, then print but it would be a last resort considering how expensive printing ink is. I was browsing through my vouchers and found out I even have one for some beauty treatment some 4 States away from me! I asked them for a reimbursement because there is no way in this world I could use it and I do not even remember buying it. Groupon said it expired already so they cannot do anything about it but for me to use it in that State. When they advertise and call them, they make you think they have the best customer experience but don't be fooled. Groupon is around for the money, not for their patrons.

    I canceled an order minutes after placing the order. Well within their ridiculous cancellation policies. Yet several hours later I noticed through my bank account that the transaction wasn't canceled. When I contacted customer service they just repeatedly stated their cancellation policy completely disregarding the fact that I did cancel it within their rules. Their site malfunctioned and they took no responsibility for their error. To top it off when I purchased the item the arrival date was July 6th. Now it is estimated to be shipped on the 12th-17th! I now have to wait almost a month to hopefully be able to return the product assuming they don't refuse to let me return it for some ridiculous reason.

    I see at least one other consumer has had an experience similar to mine using the Groupon app. I’ve used Groupon several times before and was very satisfied with the deals that I got. The app, however, seems to be set up so that instead of browsing a groupon, you’re actually buying it. I accidentally clicked on the button that appeared under the “deal of the day” type featured when opening the app, and it automatically went through as a purchase. The problem was, I had used an old email address when I had set up my Groupon account, and had since pretty much stopped looking at the emails sent there since it was overloaded with junk email. So of course I never saw the confirmation email sent by Groupon and was surprised to see a purchase on my credit card statement.

    It took forever to be able to contact Groupon through their chat line to tell them I hadn’t bought it. They asked if I got the confirmation email and I said no, but then found out it was sent to my old email address. I explained that I did not have any chance to confirm that I actually wanted to purchase the Groupon at the time I thought I was browsing it. I find it very deceptive that you aren’t given the opportunity to confirm your purchase. What if you don’t check your emails every day (like me) and miss the confirmation one for the purchase? In any case, they denied a refund because it was after the seven day window to cancel. I’m trying to dispute the charge with my credit card company but I’m not too hopeful. Now I’m stuck with a $159 “deal” for a massage at a Maui hotel spa.

    Received notice my Groupon failed as my credit card expired. Went online to update my card, now I cannot get the Group promo code to work. Went to groupon.com/support per 888-350-9061 and from Groupon Help option. Spent an hour and we are still unable to locate online chat. It throws you in a loop. Now I cannot get my deal. Put the ** Live Chat Option on the Groupon Home Page. Very dissatisfied with Groupon.

    Groupon is great when it works. Last week I bought a Groupon and didn’t notice in the Fine Print it was for first-time users only. After I realized I would not be able to use the Groupon I immediately emailed Groupon To ask for a refund of my money. Because I had attempted to use the Groupon a week after I bought it, I was not eligible for a refund of my money even though I was not able to use the service. Not only was Groupon non-accommodating, but I was not able to contact someone over the phone or over chat only through email, which is, The least personal and least effective way to resolve an issue quickly. Not impressed by Groupon and I will not be referring it to anyone else.

    Purchased Costco membership from Groupon. Excellent offer provided by Groupon. $60 membership includes 1 box of Cheese Pizza (inside the box 3 medium size full pizza),1 box of popcorn, lime juice of 5 litres, $10 coupon for instore and $10 coupon for online purchase. It was very easy to redeem the coupon at the store. No issues at any step. Keep up the good work Groupon. I am still enjoying the cheese pizza. I will recommend my friends to buy the Groupon Costco membership.

    I purchased a Groupon for Eyemart Express on June 21 to use for new glasses on June 26. When the staff at Eyemart scanned the Groupon barcode it wouldn’t “take” - it said there was a zero balance on it. Groupon has no phone number to call, so as I stood there at Eyemart I got on an online chat with Groupon. The person would not help me until I submitted a picture, front and back, of “the card”. This was an online purchase with a barcode on my phone and they said unless I submitted a picture, they could not help me - never mind, that there was nothing to take a picture of! They ended up discontinuing the chat (basically, they hung up on me) so I asked for a call back on my phone.

    The person who called me had very little command of the English language but I did manage to get that he wouldn’t help me either until I submitted a picture of “the card”. Then, the Eyemart people decided to call their corporate office to see if they could help. Here is what happened: Groupon apparently gave me a barcode of an Eyemart Groupon that had already been purchased on June 7 and already redeemed. THEY made it right. Groupon is still emailing me asking for pictures...

    I use Groupon for the very first time the other day only because I had been seeing the commercials and had a little extra cash to spend on myself for a change. So I searched and searched until something caught my eye... I ordered a nice necklace with the matching bracelet... cool. So I kept track of my shipment from my Groupon acct. The delivery date had came and went 4 days after its scheduled arrival time. I open the package to find a cheap silver heart ring for a women in a crushed broken blue gift box with the label reading the necklace and bracelet I order as the contents no necklace or bracelet.

    Now I'm in the process of returning it for a refund. I should've did a better job researching this Groupon company before I invested my time and money. So I'm Writing this review and sharing my torment to hopefully warn other about them. And Hopefully prevent them from going thru what myself and others like me has endure. 0 star would be my ratings. And Never Again.

    Be careful if you contact Groupon customer service and someone called "Danilo **" takes your case. He's extremely rude, careless and even threatened me over the chat. If someone calls a customer service is because there is an issue that needs to be solved but he seems not willing to help us as customer. The place I had purchased a deal refused the service and Groupon doesn't want to give me the money back. And, when I try to contact Groupon today, I get that jerk ** who's useless and made me even more frustrated with the whole deal. Groupon, not worth it!

    I wish I had checked this site before I used Groupon. Vendor did not honor the Groupon and it is impossible to get a refund from Groupon. Now that I see the reviews, I know they are not an honest company. And they won't honor my Unsubscribe - I am bombarded with Groupon emails every day.

    Just purchased a sewing class Groupon this morning, I called the merchant to schedule my class. They are completely booked on Saturdays, no classes on Sunday and the only available time they have for me to take this class is morning and noon. Hello, I work full time. I get off at 5pm like most people. But if the merchant is so limited to accommodate a client shouldn't that be stated on the Groupon, the availability of the merchant? I wouldn't have bought it if this was stated on the Groupon. Now I will need to take time off from work to get my class. Very disappointed.

    I book online yesterday for 2 tickets to see Barry Manilow in Vegas on Thursday 26 July. I also booked Human Nature for the Tuesday 24 July. Within a few minutes I receive 2 emails advising that 2 separate bookings had been processed for Barry Manilow concert and two Human Nature bookings were still pending. I immediately tried to contact them which was very difficult. I sent an email and a tweet plus got onto the Australian chat line of Groupon. I didn't know it was the Australian as the person on the chat line didn't tell me that till well into the chat talk.

    The tweet back from GroupUS advised me that no refunds are allowed and that I should have read the Fine Print. I checked my credit card and noticed that 2 USD 90 transactions had been processed for the Barry Manilow concert. I immediately placed a stop on my credit card to prevent 2 lots of Human Nature payments going through. I asked via Twitter to cancel the Human Nature double booking and they said they cannot and it will cancel immediately after 24 hours. So I have 4 tickets for Barry Manilow and only wanted 2. Terrible Customer service and booking system. Never to use again.

    I bought a Groupon for a store that I've made online purchases from in the past. It turns out that the Groupon I bought was only good in the actual store. Unfortunately I live in a different state entirely, and therefore couldn't use the Groupon. The fact that the Groupon was ONLY good for in-store purchases was NOT readily apparent on the Groupon advertisement. I contacted Groupon and asked for a refund since I couldn't use the Groupon but they gave me a bunch of runaround and said I had missed the 3-day return window (by like 2 days). I went round and round with them and they finally responded (and I quote):

    "We included a Fine Print section on the deal page. This section will always include all conditions of the deal that you should know before making your purchase." In this case, the restriction in question is: "Valid only for option purchased. Valid only at listed location." "I'm sorry to hear this will keep you from using your Groupon. However, since this restriction was included in the deal's Fine Print at the time of your purchase, I am not able to issue a refund past 3 days from the purchase date. If you’re unable to use a Groupon, a friend or family member can use it instead (unless the Fine Print indicates otherwise)."

    Now, the Groupon was only for $30 so it's really not about the money. It's about the principle and their admittedly obtuse and obscure redemption policies. It's also about their ** customer service. Because of this I will NEVER purchase another Groupon again, in my life, for any reason. I won't even accept them as gifts. They suck - they are not allowed on my property.

    Garden furniture ordered - picture had grey furniture with a cream umbrella. Ordered with the umbrella and a green one turned up. Contacted Groupon to be told I could keep it and have a £20 voucher or return the umbrella for a refund. I'd like the correct umbrella but that isn't one of the options provided? Awful customer service from start to finish. Told that the photos were indeed misleading in the photos on the site and they'd had other cases of this with the set. Explained that's selling items not advertised but they simply said those were the options. Was given the option of an alternative umbrella which was completely different and not what I wanted - currently with a manager awaiting a callback. Advice would be to not use, pay the extra and get items for better company.

    We bought tickets through Groupon Live to see Barry Manilow at the Westgate Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The show was cancelled because Barry was hospitalized with a Bronchial Infection and we were never notified that the show had been cancelled. Things happen and shows need to be cancelled, but the venue or Groupon should have contacted customers to tell them. Barry was admitted to the hospital the night before. They had the entire day to notify people and we yet we never received a text, email, or phone call from anyone. Instead we wasted our time driving to the event only to find out it had been cancelled. We won't ever purchase a show ticket from Groupon again since they clearly have such low regard for their customers.

    My husband & I made a trip to Pigeon Forge, got tickets through Groupon for a show. Got there 1 hr to showtime and found out the show had been canceled. We were not notified. We went to another show that was excellent. Got home and tried to resolve this with Groupon and couldn't find a phone number nor a place to email them. However, the media/journalists have a direct email to them. I tried that and it auto-replied that I could not use that email to use postmaster. It just said postmaster no other part of the email address. I'm so frustrated. This was my first and last time to use Groupon. Wish I had read the reviews before booking. We are out $67.24!

    I paid for 2 day shipping on a Tuesday, and didn’t receive my earbuds until the next weeks Wednesday. It took over a week for them to get here even though I paid more for 2 day shipping than the earbuds cost. I might’ve just been unlucky but so are other people I know that have had this happen so if you’re thinking of paying for 2 day shipping. Just save your money and don’t buy it.

    Very disappointed with Groupon - with an attempt to purchase then confirm transaction of Baseball tickets for Milwaukee Brewers vs Chicago Cubs game. Groupon advertised, for day of ticket sale for Baseball game, we followed all prompts, transaction said "pending" - we arranged for 4 people to be picked up and travel to venue for game - for 2 hours the transaction on Groupon said pending also on credit card. We called Groupon, and 3rd party who were holding the tickets and both 2 times in that 2 hours either couldn't help us referring to the other or send sale still pending. 25 min before game start the transaction said refunded (on Groupon site) after I had an online chat with Groupon - I now was at venue for game and purchased tickets at box office but will never use Groupon again after this very frustrating experience.

    I bought a pair of shorts. When they finally came, they too small so I used the return label that came with the order. Never heard from them, so I contact them after several attempts and sending all information, I was told they could not help. If you buy from them be advice their return policy is not good at best. I am out 25 bucks. This what they wrote me back (I was checking the account with my supervisor. And we never received the package back. Do you have a tracking number. Because if we do not receive the package or we can see where the package is at this point. I am not able to refund you sir.) so be careful with this site.

    I purchased a $20 Kohl's gift card for $10 on Groupon. When I went to redeem the card on Kohl's website, it was declined. I tried four different times. I reached out to Groupon. They acknowledged there was a problem but said it would take several days before they could resolve it. I asked about a refund - they said it was final sale. I asked about issuing a replacement gift card - they said there are no exchanges. But, the problem is on their end, not mine. I'm pretty sure the item I wanted at Kohl's is going to sell out before Groupon even bothers to respond back to me.

    I am embarrassed to say I’ve given this service many chances. My last experience was renting a photo booth for my husbands 50th birthday party on Groupon. Company took my money didn’t show at the party didn’t answer my calls and never returned my voicemail messages. Called Groupon left VM email and chatted online and yet again no response back. Had to call my credit card company and report fraud. They returned my money with no problems but my husband turns 50 once and I was so disappointed to say the least. Run far away from Groupon and save yourself the stress.

    I have contacted them via their chatline 3 times. Twice they have quoted a delivery date and the item didn't arrive. On the 4th chat, I asked if a refund was possible. He said he would send me one. I asked when it would arrive and he ended the chat. I'm reluctant to order from elsewhere until they send a refund. Today they say it's coming tomorrow 10 June, but they always say that! No more Groupon 'deals' for me. Thanks.

    So I am a inquiry about items not purchased on my behalf, whom did this unknown. So scrolling thru email I come across "thank for your order!!" I was like wait what...yes I supposedly purchased a class ring...48.00 charge plus fees. No I did not. So I continue on scrolling to clear email box. Well earlier that week or so prior I questioned my bank acct but put my mind at ease it was insurance payment that was withdrawn for 89.00. I want my money as fast and they took it. This is a joke. I have documents from bank with sequence numbers...etc. Never asked for but they investigated this and I'm at a loss. 19 emails of a very upset customer they simply don't care. It's not that hard to go beyond and satisfy a customer that is not at fault just out money which is not much in their mind...but as a parent every penny is important.     I purchased a voucher with my credit card from Groupon for 2 people dining at Louisiana Seafood & Steakhouse on April 1, 2018. The next day, I realized that my daughter was coming home, so I contacted Groupon and asked to exchange my voucher to be for 4 people, and I paid the difference with my credit card, and that was how my Groupon shopping experience started!

    We chose a lovely April evening, went out for dinner, looking forward to an enjoyable time at Louisiana. When we got there, guess what? The restaurant was closed! It was just an ordinary week day, not a weekend, nor a holiday. We did not know what happened. We had tried to call the restaurant many times, however, no one had picked up and it went to voicemail directly, so I tried to call Groupon but could not find any phone number from their website, so we had to go home and email Groupon. They replied and said they will contact the restaurant to find out what is going on. Several days later, they sent me another email which had said that they were working on the problem with the restaurant…

    After several emails back and forth, they finally agreed to refund, but only part of the money was returned to my credit card. The rest was refunded as Groupon bucks, because as they said they could only refund my money to the original form, and my payment for 2 people dining was put into Groupon bucks by Groupon before the exchange. I told them I had nothing to purchase from Groupon at that time. They apologized and promised that issues with businesses closing without warning would never happen again, but they still refused to return the remaining money to my credit card. I accepted it and thought how Groupon is a big platform, these kinds of things happen sometimes, so I let it go and had made another purchase with the refunded bucks, it was for Xpress Pedicure which I did not truly need.

    But when I called Xpress for an appointment, guess what? Xpress told me that the promotion stopped several days ago. They apologized that Groupon did not inform me, so again, I had to contact Groupon, asking for a refund. This time, one of their co-worker agreed that it is not fair to refund Groupon bucks again, and promised to refund my money directly to my card. He told me in our live chat: ”You have my word... I can assure you it will be directly to your card. No worries…” When I asked him why the money was still in my Groupon account several days later, he said: "The process is being done properly… the process is up to ten business days… We urge your patience on the process being done as it's usual."

    So I waited for over 10 business days, and guess what?! The money has still not been returned to my card!! When I tried to contact the staff who promised me the refund, they had another person answer me and of course repeat the same explanation again!! From the beginning of April, I had to send Groupon countless emails, most of the time, another staff would reply, and I had to explain patiently the whole story again and again. I even attached the live chat copy for their reference, and on Jun.6, their staff named M. ** sent a sounds-like-final decision-email to me: "I apologize for the miscommunication… It cannot be refunded back to your credit card.”

    So that was it, I do not want to contact them anymore, what I did was to write down the entire story, and let all of you know how Groupon had treated me, and could potentially treat you the next time when you make a purchase from Groupon, they had promised me twice to fix the problems caused by themselves, but neither of them has ever kept their word!! Shopping was supposed to be a pleasant experience, however, what I got from Groupon’s was just two-months of tedious troubles!!!

Attempted for 3 weeks to contact Groupon (they no longer receive incoming calls). Emails, "Chat-helps" and requests for telephone callback were met with auto-messages asking if I was happy with the customer service and provided NO resolution of the problem. When I finally received a reply email addressing my specific issue, it offered me a "Trade-In" (not the refund I requested).     I make purchases on Groupon quite often, and have always been happy with the items purchased and customer service. That being said I recently downloaded the app to my phone to use while away. There were a few glitches while away however they fixed them so I could still use the deals while away. When I got home I was viewing some deals, the next day I got an email saying that I purchased one. Which I didn't. My mistake is I kept my credit card number on file for speedy transactions. I have since deleted the app and my numbers from account. I have emailed several times, first answer was they sent a response check my spam, it wasn't there. This morning I got an email saying they credited my Groupon account for future purchases. I'm calling my credit card to stop payment. I didn't place this order. I still have all my emails.

    I purchased 2 different Groupon for 2 different services. I received 2 vouchers that gave a September expiration date & a November expiration date. When I called to make an appointment, the salon said that I was only allowed to use 1 of the Groupon that I purchased. I am new at Groupon & I did not know that this was the case. I contacted Groupon customer service & they said that the 3 day period had passed & they refused to give me a refund or credit. They said that I should have read the "fine print", which still wasn't clear about not using 2 different Groupon offers. I have to accept my $87 loss to Groupon. I plan to remove their App from my phone & never buying another Groupon. Lesson learned.

    I downloaded the app months ago and only been on it once. Apparently while I was on vacation, I accidentally opened the app and a Groupon was purchased - not sure how the heck that could happen. If it opened I would have closed it. It should take more to make a purchase than just to open the app. I didn't know about the Groupon until I saw a charge for $25 on my credit card. I spend over an 2 hours on chats and the phone trying to get my money back, but apparently it was over the 3 days from this accidental purchase that should have never happened in the first place. IMO Groupon has stolen $25 from me, plus hours of my time.

    I used Groupon for the shuttle once before and saved $19. Let's do that again. Here's a Groupon for $45. Yes, I'll even save a few more $. I received my voucher via email. Went to the shuttle website. None of my codes worked for a reservation. ??? I need to check with Groupon. Good luck with that. Their website is an endless loop of Customer Support page >>> FAQ >>> Pg B >>> Pg C >>> Customer Support. No phone numbers, no email. SAYS they prefer Live Chat. Okay, where's the ** link?     Since the shuttle charges $36 one way, and last time I paid $49 for round trip, surely $45 is round trip. Plus, the web form asked for when I am returning. Apparently not. I just paid $9 more than if I had called the shuttle service directly. The shuttle reservations person explained that I hadn't ordered through Groupon, I had gone through someone that advertises on the Groupon site. WHAT?!?! From the url, I'm assuming it was Viator, Inc. I just made my return shuttle reservation myself. So stay away from Groupon. I will never ever use them again. And if you see "Viator" on a website or in the url, close that page immediately. They're crooks. In the interest of honesty, I have to admit that I missed a support email address on the voucher. My fault. But shouldn't I be able to find contact info ON THEIR WEBSITE?

    I was looking for certain chair and couch covers and Groupon had a lower price than other retailers. I placed one order for 4 items. I did have the wrong shipping address and caught the error when I looked at the order confirmation. Their website says, "You have 2 hours to edit," which I did. Here is where all H___ breaks. When I got the notice my order was ready to ship. It was to an address I sent a Christmas gift to. I contacted Groupon and they said that I had inadvertently canceled one of my items (Which I did not) and that when you change an address you have to change each individual item. Well how customer friendly is that website? I have one order number for four items but have to change address for each items separately.

    SOOO I have one piece canceled, one piece shipping to CA and 2 pieces going to Mississippi from one order. I spoke with 2 customer service reps and 2 supervisors with no resolution. Lesson learned again you get what you pay for. I would rather and am going to pay a higher cost to get better service. I placed an order just now on Amazon for the chair cover they said I canceled (which I did not) and will get it in 2 days where I have to contact the person in Mississippi and ask and have them pay for (which I will pay them back) to ship my items to CA.     Let me start this review off by saying this is my first time using Groupon and my last!!! And I work for a hotel so I know how they correspond with third party bookings and such. To begin with, I booked my room for The Liki Tiki Resort for my birthday trip in June. I go to this resort twice every year and of course always try to find the cheapest way to book the rooms. My friend recommend Groupon after I recommended the resort to her for her birthday trip, so I decided to check Groupon out, the price was way better than the other site I had checked out. They even offered free cancellation up until four days before my check in date, without any extra fee. All of this was just amazing, so I spoke to my mom and we agreed to go ahead and book the hotel room before it sold out, which it did.

    While making the reservation I was using my mother's card and her name and all that Jazz, since I am only turning 20 and the card is under her name. Remind you, I am a front desk agent so I know in almost all case in order for a guest to check in the card has to be under their name. So, I book the room with no issues using my mother's name, received the confirmation, and thought I was all set. Now a couple of weeks later I go and check out my reservation on Groupon to make sure everything was how it should be. I sign in and proceed to my reservation and lo and behold my reservation was now under my name and not my mother's. Immediately after seeing this I searched for a way to change the name on my own, once I figured out I couldn't do that I had to find a way to get in contact with Groupon since they don't have a phone number (MAJOR RED FLAG).

    So I go through their online live chat to speak to an agent, I explain to them my situation and he informs me that he cannot change the name on the reservation. I would have to go directly to the resort WHICH IS A LIE!!! When booking a reservation with a third party they are the only ones who are authorized to change your booking not the hotel. So I decided to humor him and contact the resort, he gave me the reservations department and I asked him is he sure about the hotel making the changes and not them. I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt and called in to the reservation department, as I expected they could not change that name on the reservation which I already had known. But not only did the representative told me that she cannot change the name but also I will not be able to check in due to my age, even if she is there with me and she cannot check in because it is under my name.

    So now I am more than a little upset because not only is a mistake on their side messing up my vacation I am possibly not going to be able to get a refund if I do decide to cancel because I cannot check in. So I contact Groupon a second time explaining everything from the name change to the agent that flat out lied, and then requested to speak to a supervisor like the lady from the resort recommend I do. The agent agreed that she will transfer me but instead she ended the chat. Now I'm frustrated. Not only am I getting the runaround but I still have not had anyone resolved my issue.

    So for the third time, I reach out to Groupon and tell them everything and again request for a supervisor, the agent told me to wait while he transferred my to the supervisor. So I am waiting for about 20 minutes for this supervisor when the agent tells me that there is a delay in the service and the supervisor will just give me an email to try and resolve the issue. I told, "This is fine as long as the name is changed on my reservation," I get no response for another 20 minutes and I keep checking back to see if I did or not. Finally a little later on I see he has transferred me to a supervisor and the supervisor ended the chat due to no reply, mind you I'm still under the impression I am receiving an email instead of a live chat.

    Finally fed up and frustrated I contact Groupon for a FOURTH TIME. Explain everything again FOR A FOURTH TIME and request a supervisor yet again for the THIRD TIME!!! The agent agrees to transfer me to a supervisor yet again, then he has the nerve to tell me "Unfortunately we do not have an option to transfer the chat to a Supervisor." When mind you I have been transferred to a supervisor before actually twice because once before they transferred me to the wrong department supervisor, BUT A SUPERVISOR NONETHELESS!!!

    So the agent and I go back and forth for a while about how I "Cannot be transferred". When all I want is a simple name change, it would literally take them about three minutes to change the name but yet they are giving me the runaround, at this point I am 4 hours in trying to get Groupon to DO THEIR JOB!!! Finally the agent says that they will contact their outbound department to call to the resort to change the name on the reservation. Something that could of been done in 5 minutes, but took them 4 hours to do this. I have yet to see a change in my reservation and no one has contacted me.

    I bought a Groupon for an in-home personal training session. I made several attempts to book the service and was unable to. I contacted Groupon support and they offered to set it up so that I could trade this in for Groupon Bucks. When I tried to do this, the trade-in option never appeared as I went through the windows of the coupon. Thinking it might come up if I “view voucher” I tapped that button. Still no option to trade-in. I then searched the support pages, only to find that if I have “viewed voucher” it will no longer be available for trade-in! Great.

    Can’t reach customer support except by email, at which point, the deal I wanted to trade for will be gone. Either their UX design is so terrible that the trade-in is almost invisible or they never made the option available in the first place... and now because I tried to find the option, I touched the wrong button I won’t be able to trade it in anymore?? This combined with an expired coupon for a restaurant that closed before I could use it (no help there), I have over $100 in unusable Groupons. It’s not a deal if you get nothing for your money, that’s a scam.

    When I was looking for tickets to go to a Detroit Tiger Game, I looked to Groupon, which I have always been very happy with. For ticketed events you are auto directed to "Fanxchange". While entering discount codes into the toolbar (which didn't work) I was actually being forced by the website into a purchase mode, unbeknownst to me. In the past with Groupon, you would proceed to checkout, confirm which credit card you were using, and then make your purchase. This site never had you proceed to checkout, they just kept making purchases for me.

    I was in shock when I opened up my email to see I had actually made purchases. I immediately contacted an online chat to try to correct this, and was directed apparently to an out of the country customer service department. They are sticking to their "no refund policy". I went to buy something for $14.99 and when I got to checkout it was $54.99. It's a joke. Also check it's in Canadian or American dollars. Next, 2 things I purchased I never received.     I recently gave Groupon another try. I'm looking for a new hairdresser and I love deals like the next person. My past Groupon hair deals have been awful. One hair stylist treated me awful talking on her phone the whole time. This last time I chose one from a reputable source and with rave reviews. When I got to the appointment on time, she already had me sized up as a pathetic Groupon user. And told me so that she gets a lot of weirdos that use Groupon vouchers. My Groupon was 60 and included full highlights and haircut style. I was only given a haircut and told that if I wanted more I needed to pay for it and it would be done in steps. I was disappointed and Groupon did not rectify this. They said that it was a third party, and she would have to refund what I was due.

    The lady was very argumentative doing my hair. As if she wanted something to be angry about. I just kept smiling and glad to leave with some hair. She chopped a lot off. I would not recommend Groupon for haircuts. The Stylists clearly don't respect new clients using Groupon. Next I bought magnetic eyelashes, supposedly worth 90 dollars from Groupon for a great price. Upon receiving them they were clearly bent, cheaply made and Not what was pictured. I wrote Groupon right away. Again I got told that it was sold by the third party, I must contact the dealer. But it isn't even showing on my page of our purchased items and I told Groupon that. I'm just taking my business elsewhere and deleting the App. So unprofessional and disappointing! But as beware! Shop somewhere else. Groupon used to be good but not anymore!

    I ordered an item on Groupon on May 13th. Today is the 19th and it appears my order hasn't shipped yet. 1. Be warned that when shopping on Groupon you may not be told where the item ships from. After waiting for 13 days and still not receiving my purchase, I learned it is coming from CHINA, like literally be shipped to me from CHINA. The order status provides confusing and contradicting information. In one place it says it has been shipped but the tracking number shows that it is still in "shipment preparation".

    2. I reached out to Groupon Customer Support to ask them the most basic of questions: "Can you tell me the status of my order? What does your Groupon system tell you?" For the next 12 minutes the support person continued to tell me to contact the merchant. Contact the merchant and contact the merchant. The support person said she does not have the ability, as a Groupon Customer Support representative, to check on a customer's order status. Wow! So beware, as you shop on Groupon know that your purchase might have to be shipped from a foreign country, go through customs, and take up to a month or more to arrive. Also beware that this "Shopping Site" does not have the ability to check on the order status of your purchase. What's wrong with this picture? From now on I'll avoid Groupon for the reasons I've mentioned. Good luck!

    Great deals as long as you don't need customer service - I wanted to check whether a promo code was applicable to San Diego Zoo tickets, which by the way were being sold at the regular price, not discounts. Groupon requires you to log in and start the checkout process in order to apply a promo code. Once in the checkout, I entered the promo code and clicked on the highlighted Promotional Code words. The next screen I get is purchase completed!!! I specifically did not click on the big green Purchase button as I had no intention of buying it if the promo code didn't apply as it costs the same if I purchased directly from the Zoo.

    I immediately contacted Groupon customer support via chat and explained what occurred and requested a refund. I was told the policy states that purchase was non-refundable. I re-iterated the process and that I did not purchase it however I was repeatedly told about the policy. The CSR would not escalate the issue and had the gall to ask if there was anything else he could help with.

    I then sent an email to support@groupon.com outlining again what occurred and eventually received the same reply regarding the policy of no refunds for that item. There was no acknowledgment of what I explained that occurred. Completely ignored and of course the response end with: "We'd love to help!" It's not so much about the money as it is the absolute lack of customer support. Instead of acknowledging what occurred or even making an attempt to verify, they simply stuck to "the policy". I've always said you never know how well a company is until you engage their customer support. Up until this point I have not had any issues with previous Groupon purchases, either redeeming vouchers or products ordered. However this experience demonstrated their "customer is wrong" attitude.

This is it: I have not been active on my account for a long time due to medical issues. I just purchased an item and used it this week. I went on my account to check Groupon bucks only to find the hotel deals which I believed were taken care of were still showing on my account?!! I attempted your customer service number only to find your organization does not feel the need to deal directly with their clientele??? I expect the promised refunds on the hotels listed on my account ASAP. For a total of 688.45.

They did a horrible job actually causing stains that were not original when I dropped my car off! I returned to rectify. They explained they used incorrect water to chemical measure. When I picked up the second time there were STILL stains on my seats. I have pictures to support. I was told I could come back to fix again. I will not return for a third time! I now have to bring to another detailing place. The only response I got (today, 5 days later) was thanks for the feedback??? They also state they will call you if you request, which I have and of course NOTHING!!?

    I have bought a Wolfgang Puck Bistro Elite 2 Piece 8 & 12 Stainless Steel Skillet. It is impossible to clean. I thought the Wolfgang Cookware would be a good price. However the large skillet already has a chip in the stainless. I have used it only about a dozen times. I use plastic utensils. The paperwork I received had the phone # struck through. When I tried to look it up online only the BBB had them listed with a complaint and no resolve. I won't be buying products for these reasons any longer. Quality is questionable, no availability to return, if it doesn't work, it isn't a good deal. I would like the issue rectified. I don't need an attorney to call me. I think that is ridiculous.     I paid for an FTD floral arrangement for Mother’s Day through Groupon. It took a LONG time to receive a confirmation email — even though it took seconds for Groupon to charge my Apple Pay account. FTD’s customer service reps were the worst!!     When a company does not offer easy live customer support access to its customers that is a very clear sign that they have too many complaints that they do not want to deal with them nor can they deal with all of the complaints. Maybe time for a new company to surface. One that offers better customer service that doesn't just collect the money and then hide.

    I was given 2 different gift vouchers. 1 was a massage & the other a dental exam, but I have no use for either. I attempted to resolve this problem with Groupon & found myself going back & forth for months. I asked if it were possible for to exchange the vouchers for another item, as I was a frequent customer & purchased many items. Groupon initially acted as though these gifts could not be found, until I gave them the numbers of the voucher numbers. I was told that I would receive an email, but when I was contacted I was told that I could not exchange, because their policy was to protect the person who bought the gift. I contacted the BBB & was contacted by via email by Groupon. I was given the classic apology & told to have the person who purchased it contact them. I have no way of doing this & I see this as theft! In my opinion, Groupon does not care for the consumer.

    Buyer beware of false advertising. Groupon savings are extremely exaggerated. Do your homework and check the company’s website for their actual pricing before you buy the Groupon thinking you are getting some big savings. Chances are you aren’t. A flat therapy Groupon I bought said it was $70 for a 60-minute float that Groupon is selling for $55. Nice deal, except their web says a minute float is $60. Suddenly not that good of a deal. Another one was a spa that said you were getting a $70 pedicure for $42. But when you get there the actual cost of the pedicure was $50.

    I purchased 4 tickets to see Lynyrd Skynyrd at the Tampa Amphitheater, I had a email confirmation when I made the purchase through the Groupon app in my phone. Well Sat was the concert and when I tried to open my vouchers it was blank. I attempted to call and got a pre recorded message that Groupon does not any longer have live reps to take calls to use the app to contact them. I went ahead and had a text chat with a rep that said there is a problem with the app and I need to use a PC or computer to try and get my tickets, I informed her I was already on my way to said concert since it took over 2 hrs to get to chat, after a painstaking 1 hr text her resolution was to escalate it to another level, PS that dept and her supervisors are only in the office Mon to Fri.

    That does not help when it's Sat and you at the venue trying to get in and use tickets you ready paid for, I plead with her to email a copy to me and was told she cannot access my tickets either. It seems they are set up to take your money 24-7. No problem but now it's been 3 days. The concert is over and I have yet to receive any contact from Groupon except for a email I got Sun the day after the concert from the rep I text chatted with asking for a screenshot of the blank page I was getting when trying to retrieve my 4 vouchers.

    Completly useless almost nonexistent customer service. I am deleting Groupon and spreading the word of this experience. I did however get to go but no thanks to Groupon at all. There were other people there with the same problem and a gentleman there that was able to assist us. None of which was affiliated with Groupon, left up to Groupon I would of not attended a concert I paid for 4 tickets to see and my aunt and uncle also had the same problem so that's 6 plus several other people there that I don't know all screwed by Groupon.

    BEWARE of purchasing Mayhem Mystery Experience. Purchased: April 17, 2018. Total Price: $58.00. When attempting to make reservations on website “https://www.mayhemshows.com/shows” we were unsuccessful. It was very evident that the site was useless to achieve reservations. Tried to call the company’s number (863) 420-5320 and was unable to talk to anyone, received automation stating “mailbox full”. Sent e-mail to company with no return reply. When bringing up YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Google on their website, all sites refer to “WIX.COM” “a web development platform that lets anyone create a beautiful website using simple drag & drop tool – for free!.” NOT “Mayhem Mystery Theatre Company.”

    We have traveled from Pensacola, Fl. to Orlando, Fl., visited the address site in person at: I-Drive Grand Resort & Suites (NO Ballroom). Employees there have never heard of “Mayhem Mystery Theatre Company”. The address: 7056 South Kirkman Road Orlando, Fl. 32819 is actually a business “Espeto Steakhouse”, employees there have never heard of “Mayhem Mystery Theatre Company” either and are going to report it for using their address. We visited: Dixie Belle’s Café 7125 South Orange Avenue Orlando, Fl. 32809 and it does exist, however they are a small restaurant business of breakfast & lunch ONLY. Note: It appears & evident that “Mayhem Mystery Theatre Company” is a SCAM and does not exist. "Groupon Support" supports this SCAM. Support tells us the addresses are correct & that we did not make reservations within the stated 24 hours which are false statements.

    Just because you're getting a bargain, doesn't mean you should be getting less in the customer service department. The fact that they don't offer customer service over the phone is absurd. It is incredibly more difficult and time consuming to type out your issue. Then, when you finally do get to talk to someone it feels like talking to a robot. I will NOT be using Groupon again, and will do my best to deter anyone else from using it, as well. I wish I could put negative stars.

    Groupon Getaways? Ever used them? DO NOT USE THEM!!! I repeat, do not use them. After booking a $600 Trip, Drove 5 hours, 2 kids in tow, PTO from work... Then to hear the resort say that Groupon had canceled the stay! WHAT?!?! Oh no they didn’t as I NEVER received any word they did this. My angry person came out strong that day!!! The resort did not let us stay and had to fork out ANOTHER $600 to stay as we had already driven and planned the trip so I wasn’t going to ruin it for my excited kids!

    Oh I let Groupon know that I wanted a refund as the trip was never taken. After escalating my “concern” several times and to 3 different teams and them saying they will try and retrieve my money “from the hotel by contacting them on my behalf”, they sent an email saying “Unfortunately the refund cannot be processed as the resort wouldn’t do this and the cancellation window had already passed.” Come to find out, they NEVER contacted the hotel on my “behalf” and never made any follow up to retrieve it, despite broadcasting their “Groupon Promise” all over the place on their website!

    THIS is SO common as I googled everything I could and person after person said this happened to them. There are so many that have filed complaints with the BBB and Consumer Affairs on how this happened to them. People even that went overseas and were stranded!!!! I will also be filing a formal complaint. DO NOT DO GROUPON!!!

    Luckily I went through PayPal which was a lifesaver. PayPal has a promise of customer satisfaction and if you never receive the product you pay for then PayPal works on your behalf to recover the product or a refund. So, after a month later of going back and forth with Groupon, a company that is not even accredited, and them doing nothing, I got ALL of my money back on the efforts of PayPal! #paypal Just wanted everyone to know to think twice before you find that bargain, don’t give up on what should be rightfully yours, and use security in your purchases! #sayNOtoGroupon

    I purchased tickets from Groupon today for the Toronto Raptors game on Thursday May 3, 2018 at the Air Canada Centre. My tickets indicated $161 per ticket and did not say they were in USD. After completing my purchase on Groupon, an option came up saying "before you view your vouchers, please read the fine print." I did this and at that time I realized my purchase was in USD. (FINE PRINT SAID THIS) after I made my purchase. The warning basically said if I view my voucher, I will not be able to go back and cancel my order. I then tried to cancel my order and it said "sorry Groupon is busy, please check back later." At this time I immediately tried to contact Groupon via live chat.

    The first agent told me it was final sale and could do nothing for me and ended our live chat. The second agent I contacted said the same thing and would not acknowledge any of my questions as to why I was given a warning if I wanted to cancel BEFORE I viewed my vouchers. The second agent also told me that most purchases on Groupon are in USD. I have bought many many items on Groupon in Canadian dollars. I also requested a call from an agent and was advised I would get a call back in 1/2. It has been 2 and a half hours and I never received a call. There is no excuse when buying Fan Exchange tickets on Groupon that they can not put USD beside the price. All other ticket exchange companies do this. Please beware of buying ANY tickets on Groupon that do not show you the dollar you will be paying.

    Groupon continues to sell foreign Xbox Live Subscription Codes from Mexico and Brazil. They do this because they can exploit the currency exchange rates to buy these codes for cheap and make a bigger profit selling them in the U.S. and Canada -- or at least they used to be until Microsoft changed their policy on redeeming these foreign codes. Effective in Feb. 2017, Microsoft stopped this practice but, despite the mile-long list of complaints from Groupon's customers on their product page, Groupon continues to sell these useless codes to unsuspecting consumers.

    When I requested a refund via online chat (they ditched their 800-number to better avoid customers), the operator stalled by just repeating that she needed to "verify the information in order to provide the best resolution." The second operator did the same. I even provided the link to where Xbox Support states that foreign codes can't be redeemed in the U.S., but they just stalled and repeated their copy-paste nonsense to avoid issuing me my refund.

    I eventually got my refund by filing a complaint with my bank, which back-charged the money into my account. This was my first and last order with Groupon, which I never should have placed having read the customer complaints on their own website! Reading the other complaints here on Consumer Affairs, I'm shocked that some gov't agency hasn't intervened or shut-down Groupon for their little scams!

    Purchased the item and it arrived damaged. When I ordered it I was charged twice for the item. Groupon customer support said I was charged twice to make sure I could pay for it. I had to wait 5 to 7 business days to get my original charge back credited to my account. When the item arrived it was damaged. Groupon sent me a return label for the damaged item. I would have to wait 7 to 10 business days to receive my refund. I would also be charged twice for the item reordered and then have to wait 5 to 7 business days for the refund of the original charge. Then I would have to wait 7 to 10 business days to arrive. Hope it gets here for Mother's Day. I have another Groupon purchase I am waiting for. It will be returned upon receipt.     Somehow when I placed an order with Groupon I saw an item that I didn't chose. The site said to cancel or edit your order within 2 hrs after placing order to click cancel & everything will be taken out of order, which didn't happen. You cannot contact anyone by phone at Groupon...everything is done by email. Needless to say that item was never cancelled from my order & it shows that it was shipped out & I am paying extra money for shipping and handling. Very frustrated & furious with that company.     DO NOT get a trip through Groupon. I bought a trip to Japan and China for four people. Groupon billed my credit card, $10,000. They gave me a voucher number(s) and I went to the travel agent site to book it. Once I did that I found out that there wasn't any trips available. I called the travel agency (Affordable World Tours). They told me I would have to call Groupon and get my money back. I called Groupon and they said they would have to call the travel agency to confirm that the vouchers were not used. Groupon told me that this would take 7 to 10 business days. In the meantime I have not received my money back, they are holding the 10k, the trip is still up on the Groupon site even though there are no trips available and all I can do is wait and hope that I get my money back. I will never book a trip through Groupon again and you would be smart to heed this warning.

    I ordered what was described as a "Toy Vacuum - Dyson Ball Vacuum With Real Suction and Sounds" that I have found for sale on several websites, but of course Groupon had it for sale at a lower price. They charged me for the product before it shipped, and when I received my "package", I opened up a plastic bag to find 2 AAA batteries with no invoice or explanation whatsoever. The tracking number was the same as the vacuum. I opened a ticket with the merchant, but I don't expect to hear back. I will try to go through my bank to get a refund, but I'm assuming since it was a debit purchase, I am out of luck. I will never order from Groupon again.

    Groupon has done in the past that if you were not satisfied with a Groupon purchased and has expired they would credit your account to use on another Groupon order. Now they refuse to do so and told me I had to go to the business and ask for my refund. This business, Nails by Brenda, has had very unfavorable reviews and I feel that Groupon should credit being I never used the voucher which technically they have my money. Beware that you make the correct purchase and check the business reviews before purchasing. Groupon will keep your money and has horrible customer service.

    About a week ago I bought this Groupon for about $103.00. In order to use it I had to open the voucher. Groupon states that once you open a voucher, there will be no refund. I opened the voucher and found a long, confusingly-worded disclaimer which seemed to say that there would not be a physician consult and that I would be contacted by the company in a couple of days. I had to fill in a form with my name and address.

    After a few days I hadn't heard from the company ("Skin and Spa Wellness Center") so I looked at the voucher again and realized there was no address or contact information given. While waiting on the line for them I realized that this offer is probably a scam. The disclaimer, upon closer reading, seems to say that if I am deemed not to need a medical consultation, my credit card will be charged an additional $49.95 for a medical consultation plus about $10.00 for shipping.

    These charges weren't mentioned in the original Groupon. I could only read about them after clicking on the voucher, by which time, according to Groupon, no refunds were possible. This is false advertising. There were some misspellings and other errors which made me think this site is in another country. They haven't contacted me as promised, but if they do, I think they may ask for my credit card number. (I hope they can't get my credit card number from Groupon.) I don't want this bogus company to have my credit card information. So I tried to call Groupon, which had never been a problem in the past, but you can't call them anymore. Instead I had a long e-chat with people in India. So I asked the chat person -- apparently in India -- for a refund, tried to explain that I don't think it's legal to do business this way, but they refused.

    Today I got this offer from Parveen, which I refused as I do not trust Groupon anymore, and do not want any of their other offers in any case: "My name is Parveen and I'm a Supervisor here at Groupon. This issue has been escalated to me for further assistance. I have checked your request and obviously, this is not the outcome we had hoped for. I guess you might have received an email with the chat conversation. However, I will email you the same in separate email.

    Further, we will not be able to help you with the full refund. However, I would like to offer you with a Trade-In option where you can swap this voucher with any other deal of your choice. This Groupon voucher is eligible for a trade-in. You can exchange it for an equal value of Groupon Bucks and put those Bucks toward a new voucher right away.

    After declining this offer I called my credit card company (Chase Visa) and explained the problem. They said that since I did business with Groupon, and third-company provider, they can ask Groupon for a refund but otherwise cannot help me, even if I never receive the product (!). Then I found out that The California Consumer Affairs Bureau does not deal with online companies. Obviously I'm an idiot, but I'm not the only one who has been mislead in this way. This kind of advertising should not be legal. I hope you can help or refer me to someone who can. Groupon is a company that can no longer be trusted. More people should be aware of this instead of having to learn the hard way, as I have. Thanks for your help.

    Having worked with Groupon for almost a year and done almost $50,000 of business with them, they terminated our contract without notice or without reason. A customer complaint they said. They said they did a thorough investigation but never consulted us? The past few months they have taken deductions without explanation and refused to return emails when asked for details? Our dealings with them have never been easy and smooth, right from the start and I am really, really disgusted with the way they conduct themselves and smoother the market with advertising and make it so difficult for small businesses to compete with them.

    They treat their merchants with contempt and they are not much better to the customer. My advice for any Groupon Customer is to call the vendor directly, cut out Groupon and ask the merchant if they will honor the Groupon rate. Most merchants will gladly deal with the customer directly, this way they are getting 100% of the discounted rate at the time services are rendered, instead of only 50% of which they have to wait three months to get 20% of that payment. Only to find increasingly more "payment adjustments" deducted, that are not explained! I will never do business with Groupon again, not as a customer or a merchant and I look forward to the day they go out of business.

    I was able to "Chat" with someone once and have never been able to get back to that screen again. I had Groupons that expired due to the fact that my mother was in hospice and I moved in with her to care for her. I have a Groupon where the vendor would not come to my area; where the business no longer exists; where the online program did not work; and where the vendor has marked the Groupon as being used when it was not. You use to be able to call and speak to someone in India; that no longer is an option; there is no phone number or email address that works. Representatives are unable to call out and you cannot call in. I was on chat (slower than molasses) for over 2 hours and only got a couple of issues handled.

    I was contacted by Groupon that one of my deals was not able to offer their services as they had left the country. Rather than credit me the amount paid I was told to contact Groupon which is impossible. I attempted to resolve this very issue on the one time I was able to "Chat" but it never happened. Groupon has no concept of what Customer Service means and do not care about their customers at all. Today a Promo Code "Sale3" did not work on a substantial purchase and no way to contact anyone. They have certainly lost me as a regular customer. I wish they had some competition.

    I attempted for 2 straight days to return a product through Groupon's website (the product was clearly marked free returns). I attempted to contact customer service, but discovered that no one answers the phone. It's only a recording. The only way I was able to get satisfaction was to "live chat" over the computer. The only way that I was able to get a live chat going was to threaten to contact the attorney general of my state and the Better Business Bureau. That got a response and I was able to live chat. During the live chat, I said that their claim of free returns was false advertising and they finally emailed me the return label. Now, I will see if I get a refund. Fortunately, I purchased this on American Express, who has a wonderful policy that they won't pay for an item that you've returned. My recommendation -- only purchase Groupon on credit cards that you know will protect you.

    Note - this is my first negative review of a company. BEWARE! Just a warning to even those of you that think it's great now. Like I had once upon a time: The customer satisfaction pledge is false (which is the reason I felt confident about purchasing a trip from the site). I purchased a trip from a very shady company who did not respond to my efforts to contact and was not as it was advertised. I contacted Groupon 2 days after the purchase for the trip 7 months away, confident that the satisfaction pledge would stand up. No. The customer service is the worst I'd ever seen... ever. You can only communicate through email, and you only get a canned response (from what I assume is an offshore vendor) is canned and ridiculously irrelevant to your inquiry. There is no phone number, no escalation path- well except for the attorney general, which is now my new path.

    The Ebates link that advertises cash back... does not give you cash back, even if it's on the trip you clicked on. The promise of getting cash back is also false. As verified by Ebates. I had used Groupon for years for local purchases, but will never again. This is the worst experience that I've had with any company of its size. How can it still be operating?

    On April 9, 2018 I ordered the JetWave Sonic toothbrush, cost 37.99 plus 3.34 unknown charges to total 41.33. No acknowledgment was sent to my email, but on 4-10 I was charged $41.33. ON 4-16 I was again charged $41.33. I have still not received any acknowledgment of the order, nor have I received. Shortly after the second charge of 41.33, additional charges of $202.50 and $1853.30 was made to my checking account. I have tried to find a number for Groupon Support to no luck.

    It appears that Groupon will not back up their clients and are certainly unwilling to support customers. This appears to be a fraud operation who is making money from unwitting customers. My bank will be reversing all charges and I will never buy anything from Groupon again. Their customer service is non-existent. (I don't know how I can get a picture of the item and since there was never an confirmation of the order I can't give you an item number.) I'm just extremely unhappy this and with Groupon that there is no way to solve problems. Please contact me to let me know how to put a picture of the item for you.

Business are starting to just give the offers so they and you don't have to work with the crooks at Groupon.

    I have been treated badly one too many times and I want to be able to speak to someone when there is a problem. I will never use them again.     I am owed $76.93 in Groupon Bucks, after complaining about an expiration on the Bucks, I was informed my Bucks would not expire since they received the money. So I have been reviewing their offering emails for quite sometime looking for something to apply my Groupon Bucks. I found something today and checked my account and it reports there are no Bucks available even though I was lead to believe they would not expire. The company does not represent ethical practices.

We are getting a 73% rating from something they sold 7 years ago stuck on our deal page. We didn't even own the business! Completely unfair.

    I have never dealt with such awful customer service. I went to buy two tickets but it kept defaulting to one ticket for some reason so I bought the one ticket for 10.50. I then bought another ticket for 10.50. I look at my receipt and notice that it gave me two tickets the first time and charged me 21 even though I confirmed the 10.50 with the first ticket. The tickets were final sale so I contact customer service hoping for a refund since it was their app that messed up. They refused a refund because it was their policy since it was final sale even though they messed up.

    Apparently it’s their policy to rip customers off. I was under the impression that it was their job to fix any errors that come across. I also told them that the third ticket is not going to be used because I only needed two and she told me that she “respects my decision,” like I actually meant to order the third one. Sounded very condescending. I’m lucky I only spent 10 extra dollars but I’m irritated that they have such awful customer service.

    On 3/17/2018, I purchased a Sam's Club $40.00 membership for $30.00. I paid through PayPal and then received a redemption code for the voucher. I entered the code on the website provided. A few weeks passed and I didn’t receive anything from Sam's Club. I called them and they researched the purchase and could not find any evidence of a purchase of a voucher under my name.

    I then contacted Groupon via their Live Chat since you can’t speak with a rep directly. I chatted with Nishant ** and advised him of my situation. He typed back that he would check into my problem. After a period over several days, I was advised by Groupon that the voucher was redeemed on 3/17/18 at 2:38 PM. Again I contacted Sams and gave them the info provided by Groupon. The rep checked via their system and still couldn’t locate a purchase made by me. Again I contacted Groupon via chat and advised them of the info I was given by Sam's. I received an e-mail from Groupon stating that they couldn’t do anything about my situation but provided me with a long Support ID# to give to Sam's. Again I contacted Sam's and gave them the support number. I was advised that they had no way to look up the number given to me by Groupon.

    This is a very sad way of Groupon having me go back and forth between them and Sams. They should be the ones investigating the matter. I paid Groupon for the voucher, they need to investigate why a voucher that was redeemed and not received by Sam's Club. I would like to get what I purchased and paid for without all this hassle from Groupon.

    I received $200 in gift card from my Father. I used them all except for one because when taking the label off the PIN and the tape ripped and covered it. I attempted to scrape it off but had no luck. I contacted them and never heard back (24 hours). I did CHAT twice and provided the information they asked for. So they are holding and not returning my CASH. Inferior customer service. There is not a phone number to contact them most likely because they don't have enough reps to handle all of the complaints. Not too long ago they were selling a salon coupon and when I attempted to make an appointment they were out of business. I have spent a lot of time dealing with incompetency.

    I absolutely love this makeup brush set! It has such good quality. The case it comes in is even good quality. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because one of the brushes looks like it's burnt and it looks like I'm missing a brush, but everything else is perfect! I love it.     I bought a Groupon for Printerpix, 4 canvas portraits 16x20 for $31.00. I tried for two days to order. My order would not go through. It was about to expire so I called Groupon and explained that Printerpix was having trouble with their site and I was unable to place my order. I simply asked for a 1-2 day extension. I was denied. I asked why... all of this on chat, of course, because you are not allowed to speak to a human being. Cheaper for Groupon this way! I was disconnected! So I called Printerpix.     I am beyond frustrated with Groupon. Fraudulent, poor customer service & has an extremely poor resolution team. Not even a phone number to contact is provided. The “fine print” for “getaway packages” should include distances from the hotel to participating attractions, restaurants, wineries etc. Especially if traveling out of the country! Misled! “Fine print” did not specify all of the inclusions were several miles away. Nor did the “fine print” specify parking rates at the hotel or cab fare/parking prices to get to these “inclusive” destinations.

    Images as well as reviews of the hotel not provided. Paid $180 to stay in an extremely outdated hotel with horrible reviews online, when I could have rented a room in the same hotel with a legit travel site for less than $60! Absurd & fraudulent. I would have accepted a voucher towards something else on Groupon or even 50% of my money refunded. Now I will be contacting my bank, deleting my account & relationship with Groupon. My family & friends will be doing so as well.

I contacted again and they said they would look into this error. Never received anything back. Did this several more times and finally they ignore my requests and close the case.     Purchased two Groupons and when I tried to redeem the voucher from the merchant, the merchant's website said "invalid codes." I tried multiple times. I finally contacted Groupon. Turns out, there's no longer a phone number to call and be able to actually talk to a person. I ended up chatting with someone who could not help at all (I've had a similar experience in the past, and because I was able to talk to a person, the matter was resolved immediately during the conversation). He/she kept saying he/she needed to escalate to his coworker because he couldn't do anything else. Useless! I ended up just cancelling my order altogether.     Immediately attempted to cancel purchase of salt cave experience since the place was in Naples, FL and I live in Maine. The only contact way is by email. They do not respond. After 2 days I requested a call from them. They did call and said that the "fine print" does not allow a refund, but I could try to sell it to someone.

    So I paid for a service I did not receive and cannot use. Filed with BBB, but I think it gets intercepted to them, because they sent me email that it was resolved, it was not resolved. Only $24, but this says a lot about Groupon. Beware.

    I am giving Groupon a one star review in Consumer Affairs. They are unfair to the merchants that offer their services that have helped Groupon become the multi million Dollar enterprise that it is. However with many consumers don’t understand or know is the perspective of the business owner that decides to going to business with Groupon especially the small business owner. Groupon treats merchants with lack of respect. They lie to us and they force us into deals that causes hardship. They run deals without our permission and furthermore will not stop running them when they say that the deals are expired.

    Consumers need to understand the other side of matters and that it is not that business owners take issue with redeeming coupons. It’s that Groupon is unfair to the merchants that generously offered their services in an effort to grow their businesses. In turn Groupon does not honor this generosity. Instead it takes advantage of it and lies to the consumer and to the merchant. I personally will never do business with Groupon again nor for any of my business services through this company. Furthermore consumers need to know that there is a class-action suit pending against Groupon currently for illegally re-writing contracts and publishing deals that merchants did not want to published or agreed to.

    I bought "6 or 12 Bottles of Fruit-Infused Moscato with Govino Wine Glasses from Afternoon Delight" last year (2017) and it was very bad tasted wine and give an review (1 star) on Groupon. It gets reject without explanation. Then I found out: GROUPON keep change their url for the same product. And with different reviews rating. When I log in: "**". I see 2 people reviewed: 1 is from me (got rejected, which no other people can see it). Average shows 3 star. The web page is not active to sale the product.

The weirdest thing is: for the same product, there's third url: ** with no reviews. When I login, it allow me to write review. I did it again today. Now is in pending. But you can't see it from the second url above. Bottom line is: GROUPON is using this scam (described above) to lure people buy the product. It is shame and dishonest.     I bought a Groupon for a facial, a month later I went to use it. I had three months to use it. The person no longer accepts Groupon's. I tried to email their customer service since there is no phone number to discuss it. Email response stated (they are overseas cheap labor) I had to have canceled it within 24 hours?     Up until now I have been a regular user of Groupon. But my last purchase was the first time I needed to contact their customer service team with a problem. Their customer service team to be frank it’s the worst customer “service” I’ve ever experienced! I have been misleaded, insulted and been met with complete rudeness and only gone around in circles with the company hiding behind terms and conditions despite admitting fault on their part. They failured to do anything other than follow a script! Groupon offer items at reduced prices which sometimes are good offers.

    I purchased a trip on Groupon but when I went to book with the travel company the travel options were ridiculous so I decided to cancel the trip. To begin with it was difficult for me to figure out how to cancel as I was looking for about 1/2 hr for a contact number (my preference) and never saw one. I was able to send an email to customer service who said they would check that I had not used the coupon and get back to me. One week later my money has not been refunded nor have I heard a peep from customer service.

    I dug around some more and found a way to request for customer service to call me, which they did within a matter of minutes. However, the assistance was abysmal so I asked for a supervisor. Amanda, the supervisor came on the line and informed me that Groupon's policy is to respond within 72 business hours (which had never been stated to me before). She was able to see that, regardless, they exceed their time limit given that I sent the email on 3/14 and it was now 3/21.

    Amanda, however, said that there was nothing that she could do to speed up this process, which was beyond their acceptable limits, and that I would just have to wait for that team to get back to me. She then informed me that IF the decision is made to refund me it would take 7-10 business days. She insisted that she had no supervisor that I could talk to nor any way of escalating any of this. Amanda's suggestion was that I simply wait for them to return my $700. Absolutely unacceptable. Groupon has lost a customer.

    I had ordered my DNA Test kit through Groupon almost 2 weeks ago and I have been checking my email periodically to see about my DNA Test kit and track it, but I haven't gotten any emails about my kit. So, I tried to look on their website to contact them, no phone number and nothing to contact them with, because when I had received their email, confirming my order, which was nothing but all lies. So, I tried time and time again, until I finally email them about my DNA kit from the email they sent to me almost two weeks ago confirming my order, which took one to two days to reply back to my email, but with each email reply, they didn't tell me anything, just kept repeating how long it will take. So, I searched their site for any contact info 'til I finally found their online chat, which was a waste of time, because they kept repeating how long it will take.

    The first online robot I got was woman with a weird and long first name, she was extremely rude and not pleasant, patient, friendly or helpful, she gone off the chat without letting me know and a couple of seconds later, she disconnected and ended the chat without letting me know and for absolutely no reason at all and the second and third attempt, I got 2 more different other woman and who didn't tell me anything, because they didn't know, just told me again, time and time again how long it will take. So, I decided to call Family Tree DNA, which is the company that my DNA kit originally comes from, which their contact was extremely a sinch to find and I a man and told him about my DNA Test kit and told him about my first experience with Groupon, he so totally apologized to me for their actions and no support or service.

    He also told me that I wasn't the only person calling them with nothing but concerns and complaints about Groupon, in fact, he said, there are many people that call them with the same issues. Anyways, after I had called Family Tree DNA, I found out from him that my DNA kit was never put on order. Groupon is a total fraudulent scamming site... My friends, "STAY AWAY FROM GROUPON!!"

When I contacted Groupon they promised me it would be there on Monday. That day came and went. When I called them back and spoke to customer service (in India) the guy gave me the textbook answer of “It’s still within the stated time frame.” Which it actually wasn’t. Then when I spoke to the supervisor he said the only option he could give me was to have me wait for the product. How is me waiting giving me an option?!?! They are now offering products for Chinese companies, and you have no idea until your order never arrives. They wash their hands of whether or not you receive your merchandise, and tell you it's a third party vendor, so contact them.     My wife has bought a few Groupons in the past to places that we knew were reputable with no issues. She just recently purchased one to a "Mystic Spa" in East Greenwich RI. She figured, hey a new business, I guess. She was a repeat customer and thought she could trust them. It turns out that the place did not ever even exist. They will not refund or give us a voucher...     Groupon in their fine print say when you purchases a product from them state how long it should take before the shipment arrives. I have been waiting several days past the due date and my shipment has not arrived... I got a hold of them on their chat line as you cannot speak with anyone there and they have told me to, "Wait a week and maybe your shipment will show up..." I think they should be responsible for their vendors and should be asking them after a complaint comes in as any business would do for their customers. I have two separate orders and both of them cannot be tracked down. Be aware of this. With Groupon getting answers from them are near impossible.

    On Feb. 27th I was online inquiring about how much a hotel was going to be for a weekend getaway for my friends birthday because I had used Groupon getaways before so my credit card was on file. Then I decided to book it on March 1st... Well I got an email on March 2nd with my booking confirmation from Feb. 27th. I never submitted that order then I never received another confirmation but they booked me again to go to the same hotel same dates etc. I could not get any help with anything. You can't talk to anyone. It is all chat. Well they escalated and said I was denied any refund which is $377.51. I feel like I was robbed... BAD BUSINESS... The first time I used them was for a getaway at the same place on Feb.9th. It was great and I had such a deal-then they scammed me the second time around. I hope my Discover Card dispute helps.     I purchased a hotel for spring break last minute and realized that the hotel pool wasn't available which makes it hard with hyper twins. So I called Groupon and after speaking for 30 minutes to 2 different customer support agents all they had to tell me is that the best they can do is to expedite the cancellation with the hotel and they would get back to me in 24-72 hrs. I explained that I had less than 48 hrs before we drove to Niagara from Toronto, and what happened if they cancelled my hotel on the morning of us driving to Niagara.

    I asked to speak to a supervisor (Emily), and I hate to say it was the worst customer experience. All she kept on repeating is wait 24-72 hrs and she just refused to understand our dilemma. This supervisor hung up on me so here I am left with a possible ruined spring break as Groupon may well end up late to the draw and cancel my hotel too late and I will have no other spots left in another hotel. I usually buy from Groupon but this experience was so bad that I will never buy from Groupon again. I will pay more than to deal with their poor (scripted) customer service.

    I bought Canadian event tickets on a Canadian site for US $600. By the end of the transaction my credit card was charged $1,160. The only thing that was disclosed was the 600 dollars was in US funds. I dont think the other $560 is all taxes!!! What is going on with this website?!?     I received an email for comedy tickets on sale 2/3/9/2019, I couldn't remember my password and never succeeded in resetting a password. I sent a message to Groupon as they have no telephone number to call and refuse to assist. Groupon sent an email that they would call in 30 min, I answered the phone and they hung up! I sent another message to call and they hung up again, I sent an email and they refused to respond. Now the tickets are sold out. They have managers and allow poor service to continue and don't acknowledge any issues. Half the deals are not deals and if you have any issues online; IT will not be resolved!

    Each time I have had an issue with a purchase on Groupon, it is an act of God to get it resolved. Their website is TERRIBLE - prices paid for items don't show up once you have purchased them, you can't cancel orders once placed, even within the 2 hour cancellation window because the website gives you an error message, then you can't contact Customer Support directly as no phone number or chat option is provided (unless you have questions about products BEFORE purchasing). Then you email them and get standard responses about cancellations within 2 hours, and no resolution.

    This company needs to get its customer service act together or lose massive amounts of business. I can't continue to do business with an unreliable company, too much to do in life besides fight for good service and the right thing while thousands of other competitors know how to deliver great service. This company is GREEDY, delivering faulty products and poor service. Shame on you, GROUPON!

    I placed 2 orders with Groupon and I got an email that the order had failed. I replaced my order only to see the next morning that I was charged for all 4. One of the orders wouldn't accept the promo code that it accepted on the earlier order. I went to the order and canceled the two groups that were duplicates and finished the cancellation process. I look tonight and all 4 orders are still there and now I can't cancel or edit them. I tried calling someone but there is not a phone number for support listed. You have to answer all the ** questions in order to get to the chat person. I found a toll free number on Google search but it only has a recording to go to their website and suffer through all of their questions in order to finally get email help or chat. I selected the chat and after waiting for them to come online, the lady was too distracted to help me properly.

    She didn't credit the correct ones and gave me different voucher numbers so while I was trying to figure out what she did, she said I hadn't responded in a minute and was going to end the chat. INFURIATING! She didn't credit the two that needed to be and made a big mess by not paying attention to what I was saying so I finally told her to cancel all of them. I hate when companies get too be to be any good anymore. I'm done with Groupon. It's not worth it. Too many other sites now to get good deals. Maybe if enough people quit using them, they can pay more attention to their website and customer service.

    So I was never refunded my money when a business that was closed still offered Groupon and I was a victim to this $60 brake service in Charlotte NC. I chose to trade in my money and get the same in Groupon bucks??? I used the bucks and bought good items make up that was just over 35$. I was also used a code and way only suppose to pay 3.84 instead I was charged 22$ and when I chatted in for over 2 hours trying to figure out why I was charged so much I was kept getting hung up on through their chat service.     Their customer service is via chat only. If you give any attitude or you don't like your response. They will close the box on you. If it has been 2 hours since your order was placed no matter what they will not refund you. They state goods will be shipped in 2-3 business days. That is not true. Most products don't ship until 5 business days from date of order. NOTE: If your order has not been shipped you can still get a refund. They can contact the business and cancel your order. Most reps are too lazy and will state their 2 hour policy. CLOSE window and open a new chat. Someone will help eventually. If you have any issues. Customer service is very horrible. And rude.     About 18 months ago, I took over ownership of Arizona Family Karate Academy of Phoenix, Arizona. Recently, I started making inquiries of Groupon to help promote my business. The business had previously had Groupon membership prior to my ownership. I called last week about getting some help, and was told I was not an authorized person on the account. I then submitted the paperwork. Today, I called and was informed that a) I am STILL not authorized, even though they admitted they had the paperwork proving ownership, and b) my account is "blocked" for some unknown reason, and will never be "unblocked" unless I change my Federal Tax ID number.

    Groupon's "risk department" has determined that the "risk" is too great, but cannot tell me why the account is "blocked". This is extremely frustrating (and potentially prejudiced), because they refuse to give me any kind of an answer or remedy to fix this. I have no idea what's at "risk", and Groupon refuses to allow me access to anyone outside of customer service. If you acquire ownership of an existing business, you're **, according to Groupon!

    On the evening of Saturday, February 17, I was searching online for a trolley tour of Savannah, GA, finding one on Groupon described as follows: Historic Overview of Old Savannah Trolley Tour - DEFAULT for 2 persons - $50.00. Looking for one that offered on and off trolley access to area attractions, the Groupon read under "Inclusions: Pick up and drop off from designated meeting points." To be sure I had it correct, I then also included note in my purchase order indicating that I was purchasing it contingent on indeed being an "pick up and drop off" tour as advertised. However arriving at the designated tour site the next morning (2/18) at 8:30 a.m., the Tour Gate Agent said, "this is not an on an off tour". I showed the agent the Groupon wording who said, "that's an advertising mistake made by Groupon for which they are not responsible".

    We proceeded to purchase Tour Tickets from a competitor trolley service, later that morning filing a complaint demanding a full refund from Groupon. While admitting the Groupon Ad was not worded correctly/deceptive, the agent indicated "unfortunately all sales of this particular Groupon were final and a refund could not be given". It should be noted this is not Groupon's policy on most purchases, all I have ever bought, as allows 24 hours to seek a refund. The Agent said no refund was spelled out "in the fine print". Following this online contact, I contacted Groupon 3 more times, online and by phone, seeking resolution, but to no avail. Ultimately, having made the purchase through Groupon not the business in question, they are responsible.

    After a dozen years of shopping on the internet finally got scammed by Groupon. This was only my second Groupon and the first one was a small purchase from Starbucks. Bought a Groupon from a massage spot and lo and behold when I go to redeem it, it's for a completely different place! How that is possible? My eyesight last I checked worked fine. I've never ordered the wrong thing online, especially not something that cost $90 (orig $100) and the Actual deal I purchased was for $90 (orig $150), so the deal I was switched to basically saved nothing and from a place I'd prefer not to go to.

    Tried to change it/return it but nothing, they refused to do anything. And the shadiest of all, you can't really talk to anyone live on the phone, just through 'chat'. Sure you can save a couple of bucks here and there, but I'd be very very careful and double and triple check, but then again, if you're going through that much hassle then you better just do yourself a favor and pay directly from the business.

    Bought a Groupon during one of their sales when there is no promo code and the price is just marked down. They incorrectly charged me for the original price and when I contacted Groupon, their only solution was to give me the difference in Groupon bucks (I wanted it refunded to my cc which they apparently can't do) or to cancel my order and refund me completely. The first customer service rep suggested to cancel the order and re-purchase the Groupon. I did this and the same thing happened. I didn't get charged the sale price but the original price.

    I contacted customer service again and they were not able to help again, offering only the same solution again.     I purchased a Groupon for a great deal on an all inclusive resort in Cancun for a family vacation. I called beforehand to verify the flight charge for an extra 2 children. I was quoted pricing of an additional 749.00 in total. After purchasing the Groupon I called back and was told that Groupon should not be selling the 6 night option since it was a mistake. I called Groupon. They promised to look into it. I never heard back. I called to book it again since it was still on Groupon being offered and I was quoted additional fees of $2502.00 for airfare upcharges (we did not request any flight changes or times, etc. this was just because they undercharged the airfare to start with) and the extra children including a lap infant. SCAM! Now they will not refund my one Groupon since I viewed it to start booking the vacation. Both of these companies (Groupon and Vacation Express) should be ashamed.     We booked a holiday with Groupon to Italy, visiting 2-locations. The travel company supplying the holiday was Weekender Breaks, who pretty much ripped us off, with flight bookings that wouldn't connect with the follow-on rail travel. They made us pay extra charges to change the original flights. The follow-on train travel then turned out to be on a 1-way ticket only, with no ticket to get back. Extra costs were liable for the return journey to allow us to get back again. There were also issues about the original hotel booking, so a very bad experience overall. Avoid Groupon and their holiday companies like Weekender Breaks.

    Groupon does not help with vendor issues. Mail order is the biggest problem. I can't even get Groupon to contact me. Metal Unlimited offered a sign at $19.95 but when I entered the code, etc., they want $39.95. If this is not straightened out, it will "time out" and I will lose everything. Similar problem with a child's book. Items I have received include a set of sheets with a hole in the top sheet and pillowcases that are too small for my pillows; bracelet that was not the one I ordered was sent to me.

    The last 3 deals I purchased on Groupon have had misleading or incomplete information. When I contacted Groupon the first time, they flat out refused to issue a credit or a refund even though their vague language created the miscommunication. I'm still out money on that deal. As a "helpful" suggestion, they told me to gift it to someone else, as if I did not spend actual money on it and gifting this for no reason is totally fine. The second time, they issued a Groupon credit, refused to issue a refund. In that situation the Groupon they offered was a spa experience, when I called the "spa" they informed me that they only have 1 masseuse a day and very limited availability.

    Third purchase, which I just had the pleasure of realizing was also a dupe, is a couple's massage that is being touted around as "Valentine's Day deal". I read the deal. I read the fine print. Typical jargon, nothing specific about blackout dates. I called to make an appointment (AFTER VALENTINE'S DAY NO LESS) and learn that they have a blackout date between Feb 9-19... there isn't a single word about this anywhere on the Groupon. Groupon policy change and went from decent customer service to total garbage. I've lost so much money trying to use their deals that I don't think I'm going to try using them anymore. Full price is more worthwhile than dealing with these crooks.

    In January 16 & 18 2018, I ordered spiral 5 notebooks ($5-$7 each) for a group of young ladies in an organization that helps with the tools for a better life. Yesterday 2/5/2018 I confirmed that I did not receive the books, nor did the organization. I contacted Groupon via chat, because they do not allow calls and they advised me that I had to complete the process with a voucher on the merchant's website. I did and there was a large balance, I stopped and contacted Groupon and they advised that I had to complete all of the steps and when in check out I would get the voucher credit and the balance would be zero. That never happened.

    I was charged $117.96 and $124 for 5 spirals notebooks, plus the original $70 when Groupon that I paid in January. I reached out to Groupon today and now, I am not able to get them on chat. When I try to cancel my order, they loop me around to use my voucher# to process my payment. Very deceiving and I will never use Groupon again. Groupon has gotten into a horrible practice of ripping people off.

Ad on Groupon said "expires Aug. 10" leading one to believe it must be use sometime prior to that date and there would be multiple dates from which to choose. Not the case. There is ONE date on which it can be used, Aug. 10. Secondly, when vouchers were received it stated they must be redeemed within 90 days making me think that meant it had to be USED within 90 days.

    Since I purchased these in January and we live in Michigan, the tracks aren't even open by mid-April so held off opening the vouchers so as not to activate them prematurely. Apparently it meant you must sign up for the "experience" within 90 days to go on Aug. 10. How misleading is that? Obviously Groupon believes in Policy before People, which is so contrary to other companies. So I am out about $240 because they will not bend because they "must adhere to policy" and not extend refunds beyond the times listed. (3 days vouchers, 14 days goods), regardless that their advertisements are misleading and confusing. I used to be a strong Groupon consumer and even recommended it to family and friends but that ends right now. I am done with Groupon because they care more about their policy than people. I hope you'll steer clear of them too.

    I’ve been trying to get ahold of a Groupon Rep for about 3 weeks and had no luck. There’s practically no customer service available. Finally the rep responded to my email after I found her initial email in my spam folder when I logged in to start the sign up process. Surprisingly she responded with an apology that she was out with the flu and that emailing her would be the best and fastest way to get ahold of her. I was relieved because the platform isn’t user friendly and my Groupon offer was put in incorrectly with no way to fix it.

    She said she would help me, asked me a few questions and then disappeared. I got no response after that and haven’t been able to reach her since by phone or email. Now I have a vague and incomplete business advertisement that’s running on Groupon that I’m unable to fix, plus it’s getting views but no purchases because of the errors that I can’t fix and there’s no one to talk to! This is utterly ridiculous! How is this company still in operation? They need to be shut down.

    On 2/3/18 I ordered a voucher from you for Hungarian Rhapsody restaurant. I entered the promo code SAVE25 to get the voucher at $19.50 instead of $26.00. Look at my bank account and I have been charged the $26.00. Chatted with someone from Groupon and he tells me he is going to give me Groupon Bucks for $6.50. I do not want Groupon Bucks, I want my cash back. Says he can't do that. So I canceled that order and chatted with another and told him that I had canceled the order and to remove the Groupon Bucks as it is only fair in which he did.

    I ordered from Hungarian Rhapsody again that same day (2/3/18) thinking maybe I did something wrong. Entered the promo code of SAVE25 to save $6.50. Look at my bank account and I have been charged $26.00 again. And instead of it automatically giving me my credit, I have to write Groupon!!! They are committing a fraud!!! Nowhere on there does it say the savings will be issued in Groupon Bucks and that I have to CONTACT SOMEONE to get the CREDIT!!! That is dishonesty to its finest!!! I DO NOT WANT GROUPON BUCKS, I WANT MY CARD THAT I PAID WITH CREDITED $6.50!!! So, I contact Groupon again on 2/5/18 and this time the representative is telling me to cancel the second order and order again and enter another promo code to get an even bigger discount which means more Groupon Bucks. Riiiiighhhhhtttt!!! I will never, ever buy from Groupon again.

    I was able to enter a promo code for $10 off my purchase during check out but when I checked my credit card statement I discovered I was not given the discount. I tried to contact Groupon by telephone but I was not able to locate ANY phone numbers. I did the online chat. Their customer service apologized and stated they will issue a $10 Groupon buck towards my NEXT purchase. So now I have to make another purchase to get my discount!

    If I could choose negative stars, I would. We are a company that offers our services at a discounted rate with Groupon and we have been trying to get a hold of our representative for months. I have personally called him dozens of times, left voicemails and plenty of emails. He responded to the first one and then seemingly disappeared.     What kind of so called "company" is this? I was bold faced ripped off. I placed an order through one of their promotions. They had no problem charging my credit card for their money, but never sent the product. After months of chasing my order down...Groupon said "go to the merchant for your order".     What a joke of a company. I purchased a voucher through Groupon and within 72 hours of purchasing the voucher, the company had a better promotion that made the product cheaper than what my voucher was worth. In contacting Groupon, they refused to refund my voucher or even give me credit in return of the unused voucher. I went as high as I could go with the company to seek a resolution but was met with absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced. AVOID!!

    Recently I want to purchase A Gotham cookware set which they advertise for $99.99. I made the purchase right away as soon as I received the email offer so the offer is still valid. But when I clicked on the 'Review Offer' the price I was offered was $133.99. I contacted Groupon right away and their excuse is that the price is subject to change. Then why can they offer a price with an expiry date and the price changes before it expires?? False advertisement. This is not the first time I have encountered this price irregularities.     Groupon is SO awful! Do not ever buy anything from them! I booked a trip through their site but that trip was no longer available at GoMundo their partner! That means they have received money from me for nothing! And afterwards their site says that I can get my money back in 14 days without any reason. But first they said that I need confirmation from GoMundo, contacting them is so difficult, they do not answer mail and it takes half an hour until they pick up the phone! I have sent the confirmation twice to Groupon and now after a lot of calling and mailing and days passed, I have received an email that I have to wait 5 days until they find a solution. What the hell does that mean? This is just stealing, stealing my time and my money. I'm going to tell everyone how bad their site and service is!

    I recently purchased some tickets to a local event. The following day I realized I needed to switch to a different date thus I needed to contact Groupon customer support. Over the past few years Groupon has made it more and more difficult to deal with their Customer Service department. They have since removed their toll-free call in # and rather, force you to use their awful chat support. When I was finally able to get a hold of an agent, the amount of time it took this person to answer simple questions was unacceptably slow. Because their customer support has been outsourced, the agent had a difficult time understanding what I was trying to request from him.

    Finally, in frustration I terminated the chat and revisited the website requesting a callback from Customer Support (expected wait time 1 hour). I finally received a callback from an agent and I was told by Groupon that the future showings were sold out and they are unable to issue me a refund or a credit. This has not been the case in the past, I have been in similar situations years ago where Groupon was willing to offer me credit (Groupon "bucks") and in some cases a refund.

    I will no longer be doing business with this company and I encourage others to do the same. Although you may find the occasional "bargain" if there are issues with your purchase Groupon has taken a firm stance on not offering refunds or trade-ins. This company no longer seems to care about the customer, as they once did, as evidenced by their abysmal "customer service" process and the fact they flat out refuse to offer refunds now.

    I bought a Groupon coupon. When it was time to use it, the link provided didn't work. The vendor's help-line phones went unanswered for almost 40 minutes. I called Groupon. They verified that the link was a bad one, and that the phones went unanswered. In essence, the coupon was worthless! But... For reasons that were very complicated, Groupon refused to give a refund. Or even a credit towards another coupon. Bad deal!

    My mother booked a room through Groupon for our vacation, using a PayPal card. That PayPal card was stolen from within the next couple of days. So Groupon cancelled our order without notifying us. Thank God we checked the reservation or else we wouldn't have had a place to stay. We then started researching other hotels and we clicked on one for 150 a night and since the website wouldn't load we clicked again and it booked the hotel. So we were being charged for a hotel we didn't want.

    So we go on a chat room with a tech and she told us there was nothing she could do because the cancellation window had passed even though that deadline was the day we accidentally booked it. She kept saying wait 1-2 business days. She was using talking points, not really trying to understand the problem. This company is awful at customer assistance and now my family is scammed out of a lot of money and we have to stay at a hotel that we could've gotten for much MUCH less. This experience was just awful to have to deal with at 11 pm on a Tuesday.

    They sold Xbox Live Gold membership cards that said directly on the Groupon site if they sent a Spanish language card it would still work, you just had to log onto the Xbox website to register the card number. This is incorrect. The cards they sent us were from someplace like Portugal and they would NOT allow us to use the cards in the US. Then when I tried to contact technical support they said they would not do anything because it was outside the '14 day return window'. We paid $100 for a worthless product that they must have KNOWN was worthless to begin with.

    I asked my date to get the Groupon for 4 people for a lobster dinner at a local restaurant. The original price of the dinner for 4 was supposed to be $164,00. The Groupon was $76.00 after a discount, but we knew we had to pay the tip on the $164.00. Did we actually get the $164.00.00 dinner? NO!! We received one lobster tail and some mashed potatoes per person, 4 small salads and two desserts for the table. The original meal that they would have charged $164.00 for had 3 lobster tails each. They added $30.00 to the bill for a tip on the original price! I wasn't the one paying, but feel responsible for bringing my friends to this restaurant. Had I paid, I would have insisted that the tip be reduced for the value of the actual meal. We left hungry!

    I could not find a voucher for a Groupon I purchased on 10/31/17 for a massage. My girlfriend and I wanted to do a girls spa day. I purchased one for her as a gift with my PayPal account and the other one with a Visa gift card. One of the vouchers was not showing on My Groupon so I tried calling the company to find out they no longer have a toll free number. The only way to contact them is through email. I send several emails and they stated they only had one Groupon for me. I provided copies of the gift Visa card that I used. They send me the voucher which I purchased for my friend on my PayPal which I already had.

    After fours days of back and forth emails they stop answering my emails and refused to give me the second voucher. I had to contact the credit card company to dispute the charges. I wasted so much time and energy. It is sad because when they had a toll free number the service was excellent, it is now a joke. They no longer care about their consumer and having good customer service.

    I purchased a coupon for carpet cleaning. Unfortunately I had to deal with a very bad unreliable business, Allan's Carpet. I made an appoinment for noon and they confirmed. The next day they were texting me if they can come now at 8:30 am. That wasnt professional to start with. I said no. I thought they will come at noon as scheduled. They never showed up. I called, I text and around 1 pm they text me they had an accident. Thats not my problem anyways. When I tried to get a refund from Groupon it was impossible.     I place my order December 8 2017 and December 9th I get email my order has shipped with the tracking number stating FedEx receive the shipping notice and are awaiting the package. Now it’s Jan 16. Still no update on shipping. After 15 days I contacted Groupon and tried to contact the supplier of product and all I got back was a email from Groupon stating sorry for the inconvenience. Wait a couple more days and after 20 days I kept trying to contact them and I got the same email back. It’s like they don’t even read the emails.     My very first order never arrived! After quite I bit of back and forwarding, the vendor suggested I get a refund, which I did. Also, please check other online websites (ie Amazon) before you buy, to do a price comparison. Groupon has very much inflated the price of some products (ie Kevin Murphy hair products), which you can purchase for a whole lot cheaper than Groupon's "deal". - #caveat emptor.
