So I purchased a concert ticket for a great deal used PayPal to pay but got an email from Groupon saying the payment didn't go through. It was a failed payment. So I used a credit card to buy a ticket. I now have 2 tickets because the PayPal Payment ended up going through so I messaged customer service and they said it's a "Final sale". Normally I wouldn't care but it's a ticket on my phone on my Groupon app and the customer service lady was polite but only because she's paid to be polite. She really could care less. Needless to say they didn't do ANYTHING. I'll be calling PayPal in the morning. This was my first and only time using Groupon and I'll never recommend it to ANYONE.

When I purchased this Groupon, I was not aware that there was only 1 person working at this massage place. By the time, I was able to schedule my appointment, the therapists said she can not work on 2 people at the same time. Then I contacted Groupon to trade in my Groupon and they so they cannot because of the fine print. The fine print never said there was only 1 therapist and they couldn't take 2 people at the same time. I am very unhappy and just want a trade-in for another Groupon deal and they refused to work with me. How can I help it when the business can't accommodate for my request. And I know my request is not unreasonable.

My son noticed a concert offer for Santana. He placed the offer in his cart. After investigating offer he noticed seating was lawn seating. This offer would not be good for us as we are both handicapped. So he deleted the offer from his cart. The site immediately thanked him for his purchase. He that sent a e-mail to Groupon to advise. He was told by several employees the this is a known glitch in the system, but concert sales are final sale and no assistance could be offered.

I will NEVER buy from Groupon again!!! RUN as far as you can from them!! I bought a Groupon and the code didn't work. I wrote an email to Groupon 3 times and all 3 came back to me for wrong address even though these were the addresses listed by Groupon. I tried to text them and there was some sort of glitch that wasn't working there. Point is, it is so very difficult to contact anyone from Groupon to get any help with your problems!!
After over a week of trying to get help, I finally got in touch with Faizal ** who never listened to a word I said, then wanted to "trade" my Groupon when I wanted my money back. I demanded to speak to a supervisor. Kumar ** came on and she offered me a "trade" when I demanded my money back and when I finally asked to speak to her manager, she finally gave me my money back! I wasted SO MUCH of my time with these people and they just don't care! I never seen such poor customer service!! This is the third time I have had problems with Groupon like this and never again!!!

Groupon Customer Service if any exists is horrible. You cannot reach any for assistance whether it's to cancel or trade your Groupon. There is no phone, email or chat readily available! You go around in circles trying to navigate their site for help. How can you sell products and offers without providing some help for your customers? I will never use them again! I have lost money on previous purchases that I could not get them to help me get refunded or even trade in my Groupons! So what did they do with the money I used to purchase? I didn't use the Groupons.

Here is the big issue. They post Canadian Bargains like Niagara Fallsview Waterpark which shows a U.S. price that you think is Canadian. The total of the deal is then converted to Canadian dollars which is put on your credit card. When I asked for a refund within the 3 days, they said, "All sales final but we will put Groupon bucks into your account," but instead of a higher Canadian figure that they charged they put in lower unit U.S. bucks. When you go to use those credits for a Canadian purchase like Niagara Falls Fun Zone, they do not do a U.S. to Canada currency conversion...hence you pay 67 US for a 67 Canadian deal. Not fair, but sneaky, and illegal. Using the old money exchange trick and shady ticket pricing. What can be done about this shortchanging?

I just want to start out by saying that I have purchased many items and event tickets from Groupon over the years and I have had problems with a few things here and there, but I understand things happen so I haven't complained. However, what happened to me this past Thursday and the way I was treated is NOT ok and your company should be concerned about who is representing you to your loyal customers. I purchased 2 tickets to The Beatles Love show, in Vegas, for Thursday night for my mother and her friend. I saw that the tickets were non-transferable so I made sure to have the name and spelling of her friend so I could add that to the tickets. When I went to make the purchase, I selected 2 tickets and noticed there wasn't a spot to add names for the vouchers. I triple checked to make sure I wasn't missing something but still did not see a place for this information.
I made the mistake of trusting that I must be able to add them after the sale. That was not the case. I noticed I received 2 vouchers where my name was automatically added and that it stated my name had to be on the ID to pick both of them up at the box office. I tried contacting you within a minute of the sale and was finally able to get someone through live chat less than 5 minutes after the purchase. This person informed me that there was nothing he could do because they were non-transferable and non-refundable. He also informed me that even if he escalated the situation, I would get the same answer and that I wouldn't receive a call from anyone for 24-48 hours!
My next tactic was to try the box office since you cannot even reach anyone by phone at your company. The woman at the box office was VERY nice, sympathetic and helpful even though the problem wasn't hers at all. There was nothing she could do but she tried everything she could with me for about 30 minutes and sincerely apologized every time she came back on the line to say her idea didn't work out. There was nothing she could do but she tried and she was so nice about it with me. That is exactly how customer service should be.
After trying with her, I tried Groupon again and this time, I requested a phone call online. Someone called me about 30 minutes later but she was not understanding my problem because she wasn't truly listening to me and that was very frustrating. She put me on hold for about 10 minutes and when she came back, she started to tell me how to purchase a Groupon. I was dumbfounded considering I had already spent 10 minutes explaining to her that I had already made the purchase and needed assistance with it. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was placed on hold for another 20 minutes before a very rude man picked up the phone.
This is where things got even worse when they should get better. This man has no business being in customer service and I only wish he had provided his name. He refused to let me speak and just kept repeating the policy in the fine print. I was trying to explain that the problem was in the purchasing process but he told me this Groupon was not allowed to be purchased as a gift and I should have realized that. I asked if he was telling me that I was out $158.87 and if he was really not going to try and help me at all and his response was "Yeah, I guess that is what I am saying. I am not willing to do anything because that is our policy. If you want to talk to someone else, you can request another call on the site" and HUNG UP on me!
I have never experienced anything like that in customer service. You ought to be ashamed. I understand company policies but I also understand good business practice and this entire transaction, from start to finish, was not good business practice. It is not my fault that your system didn't ask for names on these vouchers and just automatically added mine. Nowhere on the Groupon, anywhere, does it state that these tickets cannot be purchased as a gift and if I am able to purchase multiple tickets, why would there not be a place to add names, especially if they refuse to assist you after the purchase? I work for a group travel company and have purchased event tickets for multiple people numerous times and through numerous companies. Each and every other company does not even allow you to finish the sale without physically typing in a name for each voucher, when they are non-transferable.
Even the woman at the box office used the excuse that the tickets are like a plane ticket! You cannot purchase a plane ticket, or any other non-transferable ticket, without prompting the customer for names to show on the front. Also, even airlines will allow you to change the names on your plane ticket. Groupon just added my name automatically and then basically told me I was out $158.87 without so much as an apology. Your company made the decision not to assist me in any way, even though you were fully capable of making things right in this situation. I am appalled at the way this was handled and the way I was treated and you can be sure I will never purchase another thing from your company.

My 15 year old son saved up money by working all summer for an iPhone. My wife suggested we try the Groupon refurbished iPhone offer. My son wanted to upgrade to a 7 or 8 and that seemed like the best deal for his money. We purchased the phone and opted not to take the extended warranty upsale for $49.00 We were purchasing the phone with the $400 he had saved and since it was an iPhone, we felt comfortable purchasing since several members had iPhones and had no problems.
We purchased the phone September 4, 2018. In December that same year, my son said the phone was acting funny, but he said he turned it off and on and it was back to working. In February, he said the phone was really bad. I asked him why he didn't tell me sooner and he said he just kept turning it off and on and since he is in school half the day, it was usually off. Well the phone went kaput in February and was no longer functioning. I contacted customer support. Told them the issue and they could care less! They told me since I didn't buy the warranty, there was nothing they could do! We spent $400 on that phone and it was done in less than 5 months! Nothing you can do? You can't stand by your product??? This poor kid worked a summer job and you sell him a bum phone and that's it??? Because we didn't do the upsell and buy your warranty???? Why would you sell a bad phone to just get people to purchase your warranties???
Incredible. I went to the carrier and they told me it must have been a bad phone from the beginning!! Think about it... Wholesales you something for $400, it takes a crap on you and they say, "Too bad, should have bought our warranty!!!!" STAND BY YOUR PRODUCTS GROUPON!!! PEOPLE IF IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE THAN IT IS!! I should have checked the reviews beforehand! Waaaaaay too many unhappy people with this iPhone deal. My advice is to stay away from Groupon. I know I will be.

I purchased a Groupon for a car wash and it was by far the worst car wash I have ever been to. As the only car there it took over 45 minutes to get it washed and when I was told that my car was done to my surprise the car was still filthy. When contacting Groupon about the issue, I was informed that they can't do anything about it and that I would have to deal with the merchant directly. When explaining to the service rep that I purchased this deal through them and they need to help resolve the issue, the rep became rude and unprofessional with me. The rep stated, “If you ask many time also, solution will be same.” When I confronted him that it was unprofessional to say that he continued to say, “Not at all, I am doing according to our policy.” So you’re telling me being rude is according to Groupon’s policy? Hornblower San Diego Harbor Bay cruises are a great value for your money when offered through Groupon. I've taken at least two different ones. They have onboard refreshments, open top deck and below deck enclosed seating areas. The commentary is both informative and entertaining. Being on the water you get the opportunity to see naval bases and ships, boats, the harbor and marine life. I recommend this to everyone of all ages.

My mom, sister and I all purchased a Groupon to Seaquest and received an email 4 days later saying the Groupon was expired. I couldn't believe it had already expired so I tried contacting Groupon to find out why they would list something that expired only 4 days later. I could only contact them through chat and the person on the other end was anything but helpful pretty much just saying, “Sorry, there's nothing we can do.” I then reached out to the vendor and found out that they don't even get paid by Groupon once the deal is expired but they are still willing to honor the value we paid.
I immediately realized that this is a corrupt company and started doing a little more research. I found deal after deal stating they were 62% off but when you go to the actual company’s website and look up the price of the service. They are usually only a few more dollars than what the Groupon deal is. I will no longer buy anything from Groupon. They are scam artists in my opinion.

The bottle that Groupon sent me is either many years old and expired or filled with something that is not Burberry. Like I said, I have been wearing this perfume for years and what Groupon sent smells NOTHING like this perfume. It smells like chemicals and is revolting. I purchased a horseback ride experience with wine tasting for my wife and I for our wedding anniversary. Great deal at $149! When I called the winery stables to book, they said they only took one booking with Groupon daily and said they were overbooked due to recent inclement weather. They offered me an alternative deal over the phone which was too good to pass up. They said I could get my money back from Groupon since the order I placed was under 72 hours old.
I tried in vain to get a hold of someone from Groupon. Groupon has no customer service where you can speak to a person. Their so called online chat is an absolute exercise in futility leaving the user completely and utterly frustrated. I had purchased a voucher, followed the instructions perfectly but was having issues with the site. I contacted the company the voucher was for first but they were unable to really help. Knowing that I was past the refund policy time, I used the live chat to see of they could help me. First aggravating experience was: someone introduced themselves. Within a few seconds of the intro, as I was typing out my issue, the "person" started immediately asking if we were still connected.
I typed it out and responded yes, I'm just typing out my problem. He asked for the promo code, etc. I give it to him. The he said that I qualified for some challenge and wanted to send an email. I said no to the email and he said ok, he will deal with the issue first and then send the email. Ok whatever. I didn't respond expecting him to maybe get back to my problem. But he once again asked if we are still connected. Yes, we are I'm waiting on you. Then he says great! Lookout for the email. Yeah. Ok. Can we get back to my problem? He then immediately says there is no refund as I'm past the time limit.
That's not even what I asked about! I responded with "are you even a person". Immature probably but I was so frustrated at the time I didn't care. I ended it because I didn't want to deal with it again. I honestly don't think think their "live chat" is even live. As a massage therapist I have put more time, effort, and cost of products into each massage session than I have received from the Groupon voucher. Not only do you discount your service, but Groupon takes well over 50% of your already discounted price (in addition to the “discounts & adjustments”!) They DO NOT explain this you...
Please know that Groupon is used to get people in your door, and NOT to make any money. However, the people that come in your door are looking for a deal so the chance of them coming back at normal cost is slim! GOOD LUCK! For the 21 massages that I gave through Groupon (before deciding to cancel my campaign), I made $12/massage...$12!!! Are you kidding me?! Groupon is a complete joke and they take virtually all your hard-earned money! I do not recommend Groupon for any small business!

You cannot get in contact with Groupon directly so if you have an issue you’re in for some aggravation. I opted for a different treatment but the doctor marked it as redeemed before I did. I never actually used the coupon but its been two emails to support and I still have not received a refund. Not very happy about it. I hope I get a refund for a Groupon I never actually used. Either way it is a frustrating process! You are much better going to the merchant for the same or better savings.

I booked a 2 night stay through Groupon Getaways for Niagara Falls Canada in January, I found the advertising of 82 percent off the going rate was a total lie, they used bait and switch and false advertising. The advertising email I received was for the Best Western on Fallsview, walking distance to the falls. After they took their payment they switched the hotel to a Days Inn and I was charged 10 dollars less than their normal rates, $5 dollar savings per night, I have loyalty cards for Best Western and Comfort Inns and so I try very hard to stay in these hotels. Also the hotel they booked me at was not even close to being within walking distance to the falls. I cannot even begin to say how upset I have been from the whole experience. Trying to call them on the phone that day and you can't talk to anyone in person. I did get through to several people on the phone only to be told that I would have to go to the website.
I found a another Days Inn in the downtown area who would have been more than willing to honor the Groupon because it was what they would have charged anyway and no savings at all but Groupon would not speak to me on the phone to transfer the money to the hotel. My experience with Groupon was that it was a total scam, false advertising, and bait and switch tactics that are illegal in Canada was their method of dealing with the customer and then when you try to call them I am faced with people who lie to you first by saying that I stayed in the hotel and used the Groupon when I did not.
If I had to rate my experience it was a minus 10. Can't even begin to fully explain how upset I am. Plus when I arrived in Niagara Falls I spent between 2 and 3 hours trying to contact Groupon and not out enjoying the area. I have been in Niagara Falls many times and it is one of my most favorite places in Canada to visit, this experience just ruined my whole visit.

Joanna ** Groupon Customer Support sent an email stating that the money was not refundable since it was a final sale voucher but to send them the merchant's information and they'll try to have them honor the Groupon. I immediately contacted Groupon for a return slip and shipped the phone back with the intention of a full refund. To my surprise they refunded my Groupon account for Groupon Bucks and did not refund my credit card that I used.
I attempted to contact customer service and was told there is nothing they can do and I stated that I would be filing a complaint with my bank, they then proceeded to tell me if I dispute the refund they issued then I would be banned from using Groupon in the future? Really! So in the meantime, I am still awaiting a decision from my bank as to if I actually get my money back which could take up to 45 days, in the meantime, 2 months later my son still doesn't have his Xmas gift :( Very disappointed.

Finally, we got emails from Groupon saying "we messed up" and that they had refunded the Groupon Bucks to my account. I've requested a refund since it's 6 months and no product for my money. Wish you could give neg stars. I know exactly why they only have a 1 star. They are nothing more than thieves... So I purchased an item on Dec 9 2017. It did state to give 3 weeks to be shipped. I allowed extra time because of the holiday. I contacted Groupon customer service almost two weeks ago. Their response was that they would contact the company and I would hear from them in no more than 5 days via email. The only email I received was a customer service survey from Groupon...
So today (Jan 29 2018) I contact them again. POINTLESS. I got another agent telling me over and over how they are sorry... Then they start to tell me how I qualify for a Groupon reward program and if I would like the link after my issue is resolved... Then tell me the same scripted crap... Please allow 5 days to be contacted... IS THAT A JOKE??? Apparently their customer service is unable to solve even a simple issue. It wasn't hard for them to take my money so why is it so hard to simply refund or better yet why not send me my item? What is the point of customer service if they can not even handle this simple issue, simple fix? Why would you EVER represent a company or let them use your outlet if they are not going to send the items and they refer you back to Groupon for any issues.
GROUPON also tried to pass the buck off to the vendor. My bank was charged by Groupon, my purchase was thru Groupon. My bank says to resolve with Groupon, the company said resolve with Groupon... but Groupon does nothing but steal the money. I am posting part of the documented conversation. I could not post all of both experiences because of personal info. Just wanted everyone to get the idea. This is a portion of my second encounter. At this point I am frustrated and yes angry. Unlike most of the legit competitors, Groupon publishes NO phone number, address or email means that provides their customers with a productive means to communicate with their customer service people. This total lack of transparency speaks volumes of their desire to communicate with their customer. Also, unlike many people who have a valid complaint, I was only trying to provide the company with my continued business (re-order) AND productive feedback suggesting an easy solution to an easy shipping problem they are having with one of the product that I wish to reorder.
An online chat person [Bristo **] actually terminated the chat session and disabled the chat link while I was chatting with her... I am reasonably sure the two connected events were designed to permanently "disconnect" the only path customers Groupon offers for the customers to actively communicate with the company. While have a copy of the chat and pictures of the merchandise that was damaged from shipping, this Chat person had no interest in assisting me with a reorder or getting back in touch with me with a resolution to the problem. I would say that sometimes the promised discounts border on fraud solely because of the complexity of completing a sale. And the value of the products purchased were not in my limited experience correct, but over-inflated. I am not saying this practice is intentional, but the technology and hoops one must jump through are at least time consuming and at worst built to deter completion of redemption. Well, you don't get an additional $25 percent off if they are offering a discount. I complained several times about this but they told me they could not refund my money. I discovered there is no way to contact Groupon except through their website. I requested a refund on both since neither were offered as advertised, but Groupon refuses. Groupon stated that the FINE PRINT states vouchers must cancelled within three days, however, I had no idea the advertisings were misleading. Groupon only suggested I give the paid services vouchers away, but no refunds. Groupon is not offering any other reparations for customer satisfaction! This was my first experience with GROUPON, and is certainly my last! This is bad business on their part! BUYERS BEWARE!!! Groupon does not care about consumers!

Where’s the silver iPad that I ordered? The rose gold is nice color however it is not what was ordered. Additionally, the charging cable and charger do not work to charge the pad. This is a misrepresentation. Agreement of sale: iPad Pro Silver reconditioned with charging cable and USB cord. Ordered on 11/27/18 and credit card sale closed same day with delivery slated at 5-7 business days. What happened: IPad Pro Rose Gold reconditioned with dead battery and non-functioning charger and cable arrived 22 business days later on 12/28/18.
The card was charged and sale recorded but the product was not delivered for shipping. The tracking messages said product was delivered to Shipping company and awaited shipping. 12/15/18. I contacted Groupon support (ordeal). After inconclusive web response I requested phone call. Customer rep on phone apologized and provided options: cancel order, get refund in Groupon bucks. There was no option provided for refund or a refund with interest. I persisted and explained that I wanted the iPad, it was paid for, they had my money, please deliver or return my money with interest. Customer rep replied she would look into the matter. She did not say that she would return response, my mistake not to record the conversation.
A second phone call from a differed support rep came a few hours later. This rep had no awareness that I’d been contacted previously and I started over. Two days later, tracking message indicated product would ship for arrival 1/8/19. I assumed this would be the silver IPad as initially ordered. Wrong assumption.Product took circuitous route beginning in Gaithersburg, MD with one shipping company. The package travelled through Indiana to Seattle then to Oregon where it was delivered by another shipping company on 12/28/18. The package was wrapped for travel in padded box and inside in a bubble envelope. The envelope, white, did not bear the markings of main shipper or delivery shipping company. The box, brown cardboard with no brand markings, had a broken tape seal.
The issue- the sale was recorded as complete and card charged without the requisite exchange necessary for the product to transfer to the shipping and delivery company. The product ordered was not shipped nor delivered within 5-7 business days. The deal did not include adequate information about seller or contact information. Wrong color product late In an unsealed package with cables incompatible with product. This was an ORDEAL... Thank you Groupon. I’ve been reminded that shopping local and having personal face to face exchange is a much better deal.

So, I had to put a leave on a weekday and go to the tour. Horrible. Now, I got a Groupon gift for a very nice restaurant. They allowed the booking on a day when the restaurant is closed. I got my makeup done and went along with my husband just to find out that the restaurant is closed. And now the Groupon says it is expired. When I contact the customer support, they are telling that they can't regenerate the gift voucher again, instead the person who gave the gift had to contact them. This is horrible service. Purchased a Christmas present for my daughters on the 10/12/18. It was guaranteed to be delivered in time for Christmas. Obviously nothing was sent, no tracking ID given, no updates whatsoever. It is now 29/12/18, nothing has been received and it never will. Thankfully I paid through Paypal and have opened a claim and will force them to refund me in full. I did contact customer service first, and got the standard automated email through telling me that I needed to be patient. I knew then that it wouldn't arrive and it never did. Looking at all of these reviews there is obviously something very wrong with this organisation. Their business doesn't work, and I've heard that a lot of parcels are not sent as customers don't use the credit notes that they offer. They need to be reported to the ACCC and I certainly will be doing so.
Latest update; Groupon have just been in touch. Apparently "According to our records, there were no issues or delays in regards to the dispatch of your item from our supplier's warehouse. However, as you have not received it yet, there is a chance it has been lost in transit at the hands of the postal service (which can happen from time to time)." I've asked them to confirm which records these were, where the parcel was being posted from, which courier was being used and what the tracking ID is. They've offered me a Groupon credit, which came as a great shock. This is a scam. They take money, don't send products, tell you that it's lost in the post and you can have a credit that you will either never use, or you'll find something of half the value and they pocket the rest. I'm definitely reporting this to the ACCC. I've never seen anything as dishonest as this online.

The second I can get out of this contract I am running and fast from Groupon all together, this is bad business and I WILL NOT support them any longer. I have been a long time user of Groupon and didn't have any issues until today. I saw at the bottom of the page a button about Groupon Select. It said it was $4.99/month and you'd get 25% off Groupon local deals. I thought it was interesting so I clicked it. A pop-up appeared asking if I wanted to join. I thought it would take me to a page that would add this subscription to a cart or something but nope, once you click yes, you're subscribed. And you're subscribed for 6 MONTHS and you CANNOT BACK OUT. They will not let you cancel the contract, even if it was a mistake, even if you haven't used the benefit, even if you let them know less than 3 minutes after you subscribed that you want out.
It's clearly designed to trick people into joining because they know anyone with any brains would never join this subscription otherwise. Now I have to pay them for 6 months for something I do not want and will not use. Their customer service is useless. Groupon is shady AF. Once I'm done with this 6 months, I'm never using them again.

Updated on 12/30/2018: After several "chat sessions" with Groupon I'm still waiting for my refund and for my package to be tracked. I do know from the carrier's tracking that Groupon received my return on 12/24, however it is not in the system for a refund. I am filing a complaint with Missouri's Attorney Generals office and the BBB. This company sends out defective/faulty merchandise then makes returns next to impossible.
Original review: After finally receiving my Dell Latitude Pro, I opened the box (curiously a USPS box turned inside out but mailed through UPS). There was no receipt, no manual. I soon learned that it was not refurbished but had all of the previous owner's files AND was locked. I took it to a computer shop and was told to return it since it was totally useless to me at this point. I am partially blind and have mobility issues and had to spend more money on transportation to print a return label and drop it off at UPS. The only Customer Service Groupon has is Live Chat. Pretty much useless. I've tried to track my package with UPS after 4 days and it doesn't appear to be in the system yet. This has been a very stressful, time-consuming and costly experience. I had to spend money on another computer and will be very surprised if I receive a refund. I will NEVER use Groupon again. Buyer beware!

While I don't necessarily have a problem with Groupon products or services or even their customer service team. What I DO have a problem with is actually reaching their customer Service support team, especially while at the vendor. I had an issue today redeeming a massage (which was a gift for my sister) There was NO phone number to contact Groupon for support. I ended up having to buy another Groupon (at a higher price since I originally purchased the gift with a sale price).
It was extremely stressful. I finally (at 10 pm) found a way to contact their support team (via live chat). I received a refund and credit for the additional amount I paid for the massage so the end result is what I stated at the beginning - I don't have a problem with Groupon products or services or even their customer service team, just their lack of a phone number to contact them. Groupon needs to have a way to contact them immediately and not via chat, email or a callback. They USED to have a contact number on all their vouchers... Why did they delete it? It has only caused problems for their customers.

I have purchased four Groupons in the past two years and will never purchase another one. The first issue I had was when I purchased a Groupon for a mother's ring back in January of 2016. When I went to redeem my Groupon the item I had purchased it for was listed as "out of stock" on the vendor's website and remained out of stock until after my Groupon expired. When I initially contact Groupon about the item being out of stock, they advised I wait for it to come back in stock. When I contacted them after my Groupon expired, they told me there was nothing they could do because the Groupon had expired.
Fast forward to November of this year (2018). I purchased a Groupon for customized sketch books for my children for Christmas on November 9, 2018. I used it within an hour of purchasing the Groupon on the Qualtry website to order my three items. Everything seemed to go fine, except by December 2, 2018 my order was still showing as "processing". Customer service told me my order wouldn't be fulfilled until 'around Christmas' as they did not have the materials to produce my order. I contacted Groupon customer support about their vendor failing to provide. They told me that since I had used the Groupon that I had purchased, it was between we and the vendor. It is now December 21st, I have received one of the three sketch books ordered, but the vendor is claiming that all three were sent.
In short, if you are going to purchase a Groupon, be sure to not purchase anything that cost more than you are willing to write off as a loss because if the vendor fails to provide the product, Groupon will tell you it isn't their problem and there is nothing they can do for you (and still sell the Groupon deal in question after you have reported that the vendor is failing to provide).

I ordered 2 tickets to a comedy show and immediately realized I made a mistake and could not make the date. I had read the fine print prior to making my purchase and knew that nowhere did it state anything about all sales being final. I double checked prior to jumping through loopholes to get in contact with someone about canceling. It took several days before anyone got back into contact with me and during those days, I kept checking and reading everything to make sure I was able to even receive a refund.
Lo and behold, they contacted me this morning to tell me I could not receive a refund because it stated "all sales are final" in the fine print. I checked and somehow in all capital letters it magically appeared "ALL SALES ARE FINAL". I am 100% sure that it did not state that when I made my purchase. Nor did it state that for days after as I had checked several times. It was added later. Like I would not have seen that statement being just the 2nd sentence in the fine print AND in all caps.
I call fraud! I am a small business owner that sells online and I know the process of it all. I know to double check fine print and to read everything! I know I was scammed out of my money. I would have taken a screenshot when I made the initial purchase of the fine print had I known Groupon was so shady. That's what I get for trusting them. Not only did I waste my time and money (had to drive quite a distance to the supposed location), but my sister's birthday activity was altogether ruined. How can Groupon advertise a product/service that is non-operational? On top of that, I have yet to hear back from their customer service representatives considering they have NO phone number nor any means other than e-mail to remedy an issue. Be aware. Buying goods on Groupon is like playing a lottery. I bought several items on December 7, 2018 thinking they will be good last-minute Christmas gifts. 1) Lumirance Neo-Gold Retinol Serum arrived in half smashed and completely ruined original box. Obviously, it didn’t happen due to the reckless shipping process because the shipping box was big and intact. What it means that they packed the defective item. OK. I left it for myself though I still need a gift. 2) Gillette Fusion ProGlide razor arrived yesterday. This item arrived with the top plastic cover cut open (almost completely separated from the rest of the original packaging). What would be a logical thing to do in this case? Yes, to return the item and get a refund or a brand-new exchange. Good luck with that.
3) I am trying to return the Leo Rosi Women’s Tunic, which I got on December 13, 2018 because it doesn’t fit right. Though the fine print states “free return”, they give you run-around. Clicking on “Return Package” link brings you to the page with a message: “Oops! Groupon Goods is temporarily unavailable or overloaded. Please try again in a few minutes. For more information, please visit FAQ.” I see this message since last Friday (Dec 14) when I attempted to return this tunic for the first time. When I clicked to Contact Customer Support on the My Order page and then to Continue With This Order, I got another message: “Unfortunately, we aren't able to accept a return for this item. Our records show that either more than 30 days have passed since you received this item, or the Fine Print indicated the item was not returnable.” Neither of the statements is true. I received this item just a day before, and the Fine Print states Free Return.
On Monday, I finally found the way to send them an email. I received an automated response saying that I would be contacted within 24 hours. On Tuesday, after 24 hours were over, I got another automated email saying that they were very sorry that I hadn’t been contacted yet and thanking me for my patience. I haven’t heard from them since then, but I am sure it will be another “we are sorry” email. The bottom line, if you like a lottery, you may try Groupon Goods. But I agree with many other reviewers that the company is an absolute joke.

My experience with Groupon has been varied and I've wasted quite a bit of money on this site. There was a time early on where you could actually call to report a problem but now you have to email them & perhaps you'll get a response. I erased the app & have opted out of using it since I have found most of their goods are junk. A fitness watch that didn't work & when I wanted to return it, they said I couldn't & to keep trying it'll work. Never did. A painted plaque of a fairy showed up with an ungodly countenance that I found frightening actually, again no dice.
My most recent experience took the cake. Upon their invitation, I was given a credit from another purchase in order to use those funds for something else. I only had 24 hours. So I went to buy something. It was a Christmas image that lit up. Well something went wrong with that transaction & I received an email stating so & that my credit was once again available, so I attempted another purchase only to find out the next day they charged me for both items, meaning my credit was absorbed and now I was also charged full price for the second item. Not what I was expecting. So you can't call anymore, so I went onto the website and emailed them regarding this error.
I get a response eventually stating I only had 2 hours from time of purchase to cancel items. The policy prior had pretty much been 24 hours. The items hadn't even shipped yet. They said I'd have to return it. I only received one of the items and the other was lost somehow because I checked several times to no avail. I returned the item that was received and here I am over two weeks later without any refund given and the ability to communicate regarding this issue is blocked. They just shut me down and I'm out $50. I feel customer service is essential and a missing ingredient in many businesses today, Groupon makes it clear that the customer does not come first. Having no recourse is why I'm issuing this warning. Buyer beware.

I have to say that this has been probably one of the worst experiences I have encountered. I went to place an order for tickets. There were two options. One for $50 and one for $100. When I went to the $50 option, it said that I could not place this order. So I went to the $100 and placed the order. I come to find out that Groupon charged me for both the $50 and the $100 order. Even though I did not place both of these. They said that all orders are final and will not cancel my second order. Even though it's their system that messed up, not me. So I will dispute this on my credit card. The company offers no help. I can't get a person to talk with. I would NEVER use these guys again.

I bought tickets as a birthday present. Got seat assignments, paid for them, then received confirmation. 4 days later, after given them as a present, received an email from vendor saying there were no 2 seats together available, they were refunding my order. I go to the website for tickets, plenty of tickets available. Now they tell me I have to wait 10 business days for my money to be refunded. Called Groupon. They said the vendor ran out of tickets at the last minute. The show is still 10 days from now. They could have made this right, but didn't.

I purchased a Groupon for Blue Apron on 12.06.18 and tried to redeem it right away. I was unable to use it as I am already a BA customer. I immediately tried to contact Groupon and got sucked into the "loop" between FAQ and Troubleshooting. Contacted my credit card company and they couldn't help as the charge wasn't even processed yet. Somehow I was able to "Live Chat" on 12.10.18 and was told I was past the return period of 3 days and wouldn't get my $29.00 refunded, but would give me Groupon Credit.
At that point I told the CS Rep that I would contact my CC company and dispute the charge THEN I would take to Social Media everywhere and tell the world how they treat their customers. Amazingly enough, the girl said she needed to speak with her supervisor and would get back to me within 24 hours. Well, 29 has passed and I have not heard a thing. Thankfully my credit card company is now handling it. I warn everyone... Avoid Groupon.

My Groupon order was stuck on “pending” even after I waited and was refreshing for 60+ minutes! Groupon has no live customer service and you have to wait 24 hours for an email reply! This is a common practice for Groupon and thus I’m writing this review in hopes others don’t make the same error in dealing with this poorly run company.

Shared to pay for $600 worth of Groupon for 6 sessions of laser hair removal as a birthday gift for my daughter. She paid $417 to Groupon and $197 to the Laser light Skin Clinic in OKC. Her first session was bad and the lady called Jessica did a bad job. did not remove any hair. When asked to do a better job on the reaming 5 sessions Jessica was pissed off and asked my daughter to not to go there anymore. They refused to refund the remainder of the session's money. So we ended up paying $600 for a one session of $95 worth of service.
When called to talk to the owner Victoria Johnson we were told that she has no time to talk to us and if we want our money we should file a lawsuit to get it. Now we cannot get hold of anyone at the Groupon to get our refund for the unused 5 sessions and the business refuses to pay us back our money. I think this is a gimmick Groupon plays with help of crooked businesses to swindle money from consumers. We should have known when a business does not have phone number so you can talk to a human that business is fraudulent. I hope others can learn from our experiences and do not drop money in the lap of these crooks who are enjoying spending it at our expenses. If you look at Groupon chain of big bosses you will see they are paid great checks with our $$$.

We had several problems with Groupon, We purchased a Sam's club membership and never received the voucher so we cancelled the purchased and bought the membership at Sam's Club. Groupon is saying we did not cancel the membership and now it is past the cancelation period. We had fraud on our account and Groupon is telling my bank we made the purchase and that it is our fault that a mistake was made and they gave us Groupon bucks for fraud on the account.
It was a purchase for a hotel in another state that we were not in or looking to go to was made on our account, They called and cancelled the room with hotel because we caught it before something happened. Groupon told my bank that it was us, same fraud occurred with Xfinity. Was setup in my name to an address I never lived at! I wonder if you want to explain that Groupon!!! My sister went on the app and attempted to purchase tickets at a water park we were at in Myrtle Beach and instead it switched her to a water park near her house, luckily she was able to cancel that one. But just another example of the issues they have with their website. And if you are lucky they will allow you to cancel even if it is their mistake!!!

I just priced a 6ft charging cable I found on Groupon on Google. Groupon is charging $6.99+S&H for what Walmart charges $5.99 for. I bought some cosmetics bags that supposedly retail for $49.99 each. All I have to say is that, if they really did retail for that price, no one probably bought any of them and that's how they ended up on Groupon. Cheaply made and took forever to ship. Groupon for goods just seems to be another scam. Don't get sucked in by it.

The site on its own, confirmed the purchase, and as my credit card on the account, it charged my card. They are offering to return the money as credit on my Groupon account but I do not want this, I don't want anything to do with Groupon anymore. I'd purchased a Groupon voucher for bowling for two. What I've learned about the Groupon vouchers is that, despite the long windows for using the vouchers, the restrictions make them inconvenient for busy people with tight schedules to use during the times permitted. For example, this voucher couldn't be used on Saturdays after 6pm. Therefore, I couldn't coordinate the time with my friend to use it. They refunded in the form of Groupon bucks. I didn't see an item that I wanted, so purchased a food voucher. But, it could only be used for lunch on Wednesdays through Thursdays.
Once again, these time restrictions were going to make it impossible for me to use it, so I decided it would be too much trouble and just requested a refund. At first I was told that the money had been refunded to me and when I saw it would depend upon how soon my financial institution would take to process. I waited a week an inquired again. Was told the refund was processed. But it was in the form of Groupon bucks. Today, I requested again today that my refund be returned to my account and stated that I don't want the Groupon bucks. I don't want to use them to purchase an item I don't need or want just to use them. I got a response confirming the Groupon bucks. I just want my money back, and then I won't bother Groupon again.

The website is a joke and not user friendly as I'm sure that is what they want so that customers get tired of trying to resolve issues. Then I was sent an email from Groupon that the payment couldn't go through. I waited 2 weeks and tried again. Once again I got an email saying there was a problem with the payment. While trying to figure out what was wrong I saw that I needed a card on file. (I usually don't put cards on file. That's why I use Paypal.) I filled in all the info for my card and reordered the paper.
Once again I got a message that there was something wrong with the payment. I tried to email them but they automatically sent me to FAQs. I finally tried the live chat. Before I could get an answer from him I was given a spell about promos, and was told he would send me an email and to look for them in the future. All he did was ask me for my card details and state he would send it to the group and send me an email with the results. My neighbor got the same newspaper deal. Wish I had talked to her first. She stated that she waited about a week and then had to contact them, before receiving her paper. Turns out she has a review on here also. Hopefully I will get the paper and not have my card compromised.

They also put your promotion on SALE, undercutting your already discounted price, then keeping 40% off that plus their service fees and taxes. After finding out, we requested to Terminate our Contract in writing and even though they are supposed to terminate it after 7 business days, it has been 20 days and our promotion is still active. Groupon has presented me with some great deals over the years. Some of these deals have been wasted money (due to the fine print, not being able to schedule a good time with the vendor), while others have been very worthwhile. I would caution anyone from adding their credit card to Groupon. There isn't a checkout page so as soon as you click the "Buy" tickets/Groupon it'll charge your credit card.
