In November I purchased 4 items from same vendor. By mid December I tried 2 of the 4 and they were junk. I contacted Groupon who said I had to go through the 3rd Party Vendor. Neither company would refund my money. I opened a claim with my bank before Christmas and then on January 8th when I realized I had a Groupon that was going to expire on the 26th, I tried to access my account. I wasn't able to so I contacted them and they responded that I was removed from Groupon because I breached our terms agreement and they were considering legal action. I asked what was the reason I breached it as my attorney needed to know why I was locked from my account.
I also asked for a refund for the Escape Room I couldn't use and I have yet to get any information from them. I guess they are allowed to send products to you and even if they are junk you can't complain. I am due over $150. Plus the amount of the Escape Room now. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH GROUPON. THEY DON'T CARE IF THEY RIP YOU OFF!

For some reason I received an additional package I didn't order. Groupons return policy was extremely inconvenient. I couldn't print from my Android and was forced to pay additional fees by going to Kinko's numerous times. In addition we were given a time limit making it more stressful. As a result I will never order from Groupon again.

I purchased a Groupon deal to stay at the Queen Kapi'olani Hotel in Waikiki. A very short while later, I found out that I would not be able to stay that night at the hotel, so I immediately contacted Groupon that I needed to cancel my order. The cancellation policy said that I had to cancel within 4 days before checking-in, in order to get a full-refund. I canceled it within the 4 day window, so I was pretty-confident that I would get a refund. I didn't hear back from Groupon until a couple days later, telling me they were requesting the hotel to give me a refund.
I also called them, and one of Groupon's customer service representatives ensured me that I would get a full-refund, but since their office closed on the weekends, I would have to wait until next week to get my money back. I asked him repeatedly, "Are you sure I can get a full-refund?" and he said, "Yes, I'm certain you will." So, we relied on his promise and didn't go to the hotel to stay that weekend, because Rad assured me I would get a refund and it was canceled.
Today, I got an email from Groupon that "there was nothing they could do," that I could not get my money back, and since my trip date had already passed, I also couldn't use the Groupon for the amount I paid to stay a different night. I called Groupon again, spoke with Rad - he told me he would check on it, put me on-hold for about 10 minutes, and then dropped my call. After about 20 minutes of no call-back, I called them again, and spoke to another girl who told me "there is nothing they can do," and I can't get any money back, nor will they let me stay a different night to make use of the money I paid.
I would have tried my best to make use of the Groupon if their customer representative didn't tell me I could get my money back. Instead, they basically tricked me into throwing away my nearly $200, and then told me there was "nothing they could do about it" to help me in any way. Groupon is a lying, unprofessional, scamming, disorganized, and uncaring company. They don't care about their customers at all, and I requested that they permanently delete my account. I was a long-time customer, and am flabbergasted at how poorly they treated me. DON'T USE GROUPON, it's a dishonest and horrible-service company that doesn't care at all about its customers.

Groupon has silently deactivated my account with a positive balance of about $112. There is no way I can get my money back, because I don't have an account and I cannot contact them. They don't respond. What a SCAM!!! Will report to Better Business Bureau. My husband has an account with them, with zero balance and never made a purchase with them nor used this account like I did and his account is still on. Haven't used my Groupon account in about a year and now I find this out. Apparently I'm not the only one! So disappointed.

Poor customer service and poor refund options. Groupon's response does not resolve their customer service issues. First, I ordered approx $109 worth of product on Dec 3rd. Groupon claims that the package was processed and delivered from Illinois to Indianapolis on Dec 5th. That would mean that the package was processed and delivered in 2 days. I know that they did not deliver the item in 2 days as it was not processed as 2 day delivery mail service.
Second, when I attempted to advise Groupon that the package was not delivered, I noticed they do not provide a telephone number to contact Groupon and they do not have any clear way on their website to inform Groupon that the package did not arrive or that the package is lost. One would think that on the listing of orders made, one choice for the consumer should be to report a lost or not received item. They have what they call a chat line, which is extremely hard to locate. However, the "chat" is not a live chat, but instead it is an email message that the consumer sends to Groupon.
Groupon did not call me back for any clarity or discussion. Instead, Groupon wrote me an email indicating that my package was on the way (which was false) and that I could check the tracking to see an update. The tracking still showed the package as delivered, which demonstrates that the customer service rep did not even read my inquiry. The response was useless and did not at all address my problem that the package was not received and that the timing of the package being allegedly delivered in two days was suspect. Groupon gave no indication that it contacted UPS to question the two day alleged delivery or the whereabouts of the package.
The refund of Groupon credit should have been a refund to my credit card. When I made a follow up call, I was advised that the Groupon credit was my only choice for refund. I was highly disappointed and quickly made a purchase that I did not intend to make, merely to get the value of my money back. This company has not satisfied me and needs to fix its customer service practices with easy to find tabs to report a loss package and telephone and/or actual live chat for communications for customers service, accurate update and investigations with the mail carrier, and credit card refunds.

Bought phone accidentally on Groupon. Phone has 30 day money back anyways. Tried to cancel order immediately after my order confirmation email, which arrived next day after purchase. Groupon says contact merchant (AV Electronic Solutions in New York (AKA Price Plummet)). Contacted merchant and they said can't cancel, order has shipped within 24hrs. Order shipped 5 days later, merchant could have easily cancelled. I told them I want to cancel or return. Again, Groupon is completely hands off. They do not care what their merchant's sell or how their merchants scam customers. Merchant said just refuse package and I will get refund once it returns back to them. I did not know that refusing package takes weeks and it could be lost. So merchant will never have to refund because by the time it gets back to them, the 30 day refund window will expire.
Tried contacting Groupon again (Groupon and Merchant was contact 10 times). They said contact merchant. I put in 3 tickets, keeps getting closed while both Groupon and Merchant ignores me. On top of that, Groupon says if I keep putting tickets they will close my account. How am I supposed to get my money back if merchant keeps closing the tickets and ignoring me!!! After threatening to go to my CC company and BBB, Groupon replied that all orders after 2 hrs of purchase can't be cancelled. So is it 2 hrs or 24hrs, stick to one lie!!! 1. I tried to cancel within 2 minutes of my purchase email so it could have been cancelled then. 2. Order did not ship within 24hrs so it could have been cancelled. Order shipped 5 days later per tracking and my shipping email! Both operate a refund scam and bounce responsibility off each other. They both will ignore you until the refund window expires! Never do business with these business!

I ordered a 16.5 ft aluminum extension ladder on Oct. 17, 2017. I bought it to put up Christmas decorations. On Dec 1, 2017 my daughter climbed on it and a rung bent and broke. My daughter is 5 ft tall and weighs 105 lbs. Groupon sold this ladder through a third party vendor called Wmart. They finally agreed to give me my money back but I would have to pay for the shipping myself, to the tune of $75.00 or more. The ladder weighs 45lbs. So now I have a defective ladder I can't use. Do not use Groupon for any reason. They do not stand for their customers. If I could give them negative stars I would.

I ordered a Handbag in early December from Groupon. Within 24 hours of placing the order I had received confirmation of the order and a tracking number from the Courier Aramex. Well it's now the 4th of January and still nothing. The tracking number with Aramex shows nothing and of course the helpful but completely ineffectual Customer Service staff at Groupon have done nothing except offer me full credit in their offer store. Which to me is ridiculous considering they haven't been able to answer me on where the item I ordered is in the first place. Just feeble excuses.
No one at Groupon picks up the phone and calls the supplier and then gets back to you with anything at all that is helpful. Honestly the whole thing is a huge shonk. I have ordered items from some little old lady in darkest Europe and it has turned up a week later. Groupon should be run out of Dodge for this kind of service. Why the Consumer Affairs people around the world don't seriously investigate this organisation is beyond me. Really it's just theft. All our money for nothing in return and from what is written on this Website alone I am wondering why nothing has been done. Very unhappy with this. I hope you're reading this Groupon. Read all the ridiculous exclusions. I purchased vouchers for a Drift Spa Hammam at The Palms Place in Las Vegas just one week before our travel dates (Oct 2017 Just as we purchased exactly 1 year prior for an annual event in Vegas). I immediately called to make reservations & then bought my Groupons. Assuring that I had a reservation before buying the Groupons. $234.00! We arrived to our appointments & were told by the Palms spa that we could not use our purchased vouchers. They aren't accepting the Groupons during such a busy time. Hello!! We had used their spa exactly 1 year ago. I had to pay for our services again!!!
Groupon is not giving me my $ back either. They have counter disputed this with my credit card company. They claim I can use my credits that I have paid for, but so far, 3 months later, no credit in my account. The letter they sent me explaining how to use my credits was sent on Dec. 20, giving me ten days to dispute. Hello holidays! BEWARE! THESE PEOPLE ARE SHARKS!!! They will take your money for vouchers that you cannot use. Will never do business with them after I get this credit issue figured out. I purchased a Groupon for a cupping session, and instead of going right into the session I was forced to sit through a lecture about acupuncture that lasted 30 minutes. Then the session lasted 3-5 minutes and they used 6 cups on my back. They didn’t even apply them throughout my whole concern areas. When I requested a call the next day I was told several times that because the voucher was redeemed I was not eligible for a refund. I spoke with a supervisor and was offered a measly 10% back as an accommodation because I kept in about how terrible their customer service was.
I demanded to speak with the second level supervisor and was denied, stating that the supervisor I was speaking with was the highest level of supervisor authorized to speak to customers. How can the supervisor’s supervisor not be authorized to speak with customers? I demanded a call back and it never came. I will NEVER buy another Groupon. I will call businesses listed on Groupon directly and offer them the value of the Groupon price (saving them the 50% cut that Groupon takes) and I’ll bet 75% of them will honor the price without the Groupon. ** them!!!

I read the "reviews" for Live Web Academy and they were all glowing and how great the courses were. I bought the 3 courses. You cannot sign up for all three when you go on their site and put in the voucher number. I contacted Groupon after being ignored by Live Academy over the issue. I explained that I cannot sign up for all 3 classes. Also they are asking for $49.99 to access a toolkit. Otherwise the courses are useless. Groupon sent an email saying I needed to contact Live Academy. I don't think they even read my email. The reviews are obviously fake. I can't even leave a review to warn others about my experience. After my purchase, I see there is no way to leave a REAL review from someone that actually bought the courses. Totally scammed by both of them. Now I have written both for a second time but I am not holding my breath.

Groupon was terrible. When I looked up movie theater tickets, cinema tickets, Regal Pointe Orlando tickets nothing came up but then when I went to the page of Groupon where it has a page of reviews, likes and comments and how to get a Groupon for that event there was no Groupon, no likes or thumbs down. It was like the page didn't even exist. But, if you type in movie theater then you will surely find a Groupon for a petting zoo.

I'm fairly new to using Groupon and have quickly become very dissatisfied. If I could rate them negative stars I would for a number of reasons. First, I've found the quality of many of the goods are extremely poor quality. While they do allow free returns, it is quite a long time until you receive credit for your return. If you've returned more than one item, for instance 3 shirts for $15.00 each for a total of $45. You'll receive an email stating that you'll be getting a credit for $45, but they randomly seem to credit each individual item separately even though the items were all returned in the same shipment. It can be difficult to ensure that you receive your full credit on your credit card statement.
I normally do not write reviews, but have written several negative reviews on their site because the items were such poor quality. For instance an item that was advertised as a holiday sweater. I ordered 4 for all the girls in the family. I ordered 3 mediums and one large maternity sweater. To start with the material was a very lightweight jersey fabric not a sweater at all. They were so thin you could see light through them and at least one of them arrived with several small holes in the shoulder area because the fabric was such poor quality. The large maternity sweater was just barely larger than the medium non maternity sweaters. I posted a negative review as the quality was so bad and not at all as described. The review has never been posted.
I had the same experience with some fleece lined leggings. The material was such poor quality that after wearing only once for a few hours they had to be thrown away. They weren't even nice enough to donate to charity. The legs showed visible wear on the material where my boots were. I went ahead and washed them on cold, gentle cycle, and hung them to dry thinking they'd be okay as long as I wore them with boots. They pulled so badly after that one wash and were almost see through everywhere. This was a set of 6 pairs and they were all thrown away. It was a complete waste of money and I posted a negative review. That review was never posted either. Lesson learned - not all reviews are posted. So what you're reading cant be trusted.
So I stopped buying goods from them unless it was through a company I was familiar with. Which brings me to my most recent unpleasant encounter. You can't speak to anyone - ever! You can only chat with customer support. I have never purchased directly from Shari's Berries: however, I've received them as gifts several times and have been satisfied with the quality of the product. I have also purchased Groupons from local merchants for services and have been mostly satisfied. I've found that it can be difficult at times to use your Groupon within the timeframe given due to merchant schedules. I've had other negative experiences with customer support due to quality issues. In addition to Items that were never received, etc. As I said in the beginning... buyer beware. This is my last bad experience with Groupon - I'm done!

They are not willing to come up with a plan other than losing the money I paid for the tickets. There is no corporate office/contact to discuss a situation like this and come up with a fair resolution. The only resolution from Groupon is to lose out and they keep the $300. When I tried to use the return option to generate a returns label, it just kept sending me back to the main page so I live chatted a customer service rep. She insisted I send a picture of the goods received. The movie was going to start 45 minutes after this began. I contacted Groupon because one was not enough. So, after 4 days and multiple emails & complaints (including a call to PrinterPix) my issue has been resolved.
The voucher worked for me this afternoon when I tried it again for the 5th time in 4 days.
I'm not super happy that it took so long and so much effort, but it did work out ok. In the future, I will be very hesitant to buy any vouchers that require submission to a separate third party website, but I will continue using Groupon.
In the future, Groupon should definitely include information on the ad about how it can take up to 3 days for the voucher code to load/be effective. That would have made the issue much less worrisome. That is what PrinterPix told me when I called and also how to resolve the issue. Groupon wasn't super helpful, but I guess that is understandable since they are just the middle man. So, moral of the story, Groupon is only as good as the 3rd party that they are vouching for.

I have ordered a few things from Groupon. My first 2 purchases came in and everything was great. However I tried to order canvas prints last night from PrinterPix, one of their affiliated website, but the voucher isn't working. When I called PrinterPix, they told me it can take up to 2 days for the voucher to start working, which of course isn't listed on the Groupon page. When I requested that Groupon cancel my order and give me a refund they responded that the sale was final, even if it doesn't work, but I could gift it to friends or family members... what a joke! Why would I gift a voucher that doesn't work? I'm not sure how that is legal, but I am going to dispute the transaction with my bank and hope to get my money back that way.
I have screenshots of the voucher and trying to redeem it online that I will be more than happy to show. I also contacted the company to ask for help and all I got was an email that they were experiencing a lot of requests for help, so they would try to respond within 48 hours. After I talked to PrinterPix, I sent another email requesting a refund to Groupon which they responded to immediately - NO. The reason I don't want to wait 48 hours is because that wasn't on the ad and that is also the period of time that I can dispute the transaction with my bank. I am very disappointed in this business. In the past years I would buy things monthly from this company & I didn’t ever have any issue. This year within the past 6 months I have had multiple kinds of issues with this company. The first issue was I ordered a lumbar wedge for 8.99 & they sent me a seat cover for dogs for my car. I contacted customer support to tell them they sent me the wrong item & that I wanted to return the item & then send me the correct one. No. That couldn’t happen. I had to send my item back, get my money back & repurchase the item. At that point I didn’t even want it.
The second problem I had was I had ordered 2 item for my new apartment that I moved into. Well not realizing when I made the order that I didn’t change the address. I contacted customer support when I thought about it the next day & their response was, "It’s been 2 hours since you placed your order. There isn’t anything we can do." They wouldn’t give me the number to the third party that the item was coming from & they wouldn’t cancel the item. The most recent problem that I had was... I bought an item, paid for it. 1. They couldn’t find my new address so I had to have the item sent to my job. 2. They took my money. But the item has not showed up in My Groupons, so I can’t track the package.
It’s been 3 weeks since I purchased the item & I still haven’t received it. So I contact customer support for the third time asking about where my product is, did it go through correctly (had to have, I saw the deduction in my bank acct) & when is it going to deliver. & their response is "yes your purchase went through successfully, & could you please tell us what item it is." Really?! They should know what I just bought. You took my money. Now I want my order canceled because I still don’t know where the ** my order is & this is the third time this happened with bad customer support from Groupon & I’m Infuriated!!!

Per the fine print we were in fact one day late in trying to make changes to our reservation and they would not budge. They were all Indian, no Americans to speak with, no consideration, no attempt to conference with the resort, nothing. When they say you cannot change something forget it, it's a done deal. We felt that since we still had 3 days until the reservation and that all dates were still available on Groupon our request was reasonable... very disappointed that they would be accommodating...

I contacted customer service a week later when I notice the charge was never applied back to my card and they told me: "All sales were final and that I can let someone else use the voucher" even though they already took back the voucher and listed it as 'refunded'.
After explaining what happened for the SECOND TIME, they told me: "That they cannot refund it because it's past their 3 day period and I will have to reach out to the business itself." After explaining to them again for a THIRD TIME that they already took back the voucher, listed it as refunded, and didn't pay me the money, they told me: Nothing.... they ignored my response email with screenshot of my account showing that the voucher was listed as 'refunded' and how it's no longer available for me to use. After waiting two weeks the order never arrived, so I went on the site. While an order showed up under "My Groupons" when I clicked on it, it would go back to the order page. I contacted customer service via email and via Twitter. I sent them images of the credit card transaction showing it was a completed transaction and not a "pending transaction" (after all it had been 15 days, which is longer than pending transaction like this sit on an account). I even gave them the order number and shots of the emails they had sent. They never offered a refund, and simply told me I could try ordering again. I asked if I could speak to someone on the phone, but the only way to do that is to have an order and to request a callback - no way I am placing another order on Groupon again.
This has been going on until tonight when I started tweeting both the @GrouponHelpUS and @Groupon (using the @Groupon seems to get their attention). Still not refund though. I contacted customer service via their Live Chat to make them aware of the error and to have the item I ordered shipped to me. Within a 40 minutes chat with Mateusz **, I was told that they would not send me the correct item unless I placed another order for it (thereby placing a double order). My refund would not be given to me until approximately 3 weeks from now once the incorrect item they shipped to me was returned, received and processed. I asked to speak to a supervisor (three times before being transferred), since this was unacceptable to me.
Upon being transferred to the supervisor, Lufti **, I was told to hold for several minutes while a solution is looked into. After holding (all the while taking time out of my workday to remedy their mistake), I was informed of the same exact solution that the representative gave to me with the exception of a measly $5 Groupon bucks on top of that. I explained that it was not an acceptable "solution" seeing as the error lay with Groupon and through no fault of my own. I would not place a double order for an item that I ordered correctly the first time.
The alternative "solution" given to me was to send the item back, to wait for my refund to post, and then place my order once more... but they could not guarantee the inventory. Neither solution would guarantee the correct item that I ordered in my possession in the time I needed it. I requested that the correct item be sent to me without charging me while the return is in transit to their facility. Request was denied. All in all I spent an hour and a half out of my workday to only receive extremely poor customer service and no reasonable solution.
The two options are far from any sort of solution to fix their own error especially from a company that brings in over $3 Billion a year. Let me start off by saying, this was ABSOLUTELY THE WORST EXPERIENCE. Now this is my first time ever giving a business a bad review (EVER???). I'm pretty level headed and non entitled when it comes to things in life and knowing that things happen sometimes (tech issues, miscommunication, platform errors with sites etc.) I'm pretty understanding. But this right here... this right HERE... was just downright SAD and UNACCEPTABLE. I bought a Groupon today for me and my husband to go to do something nice (Only time we get to do anything else besides work, work, and more work). The Groupon we bought was a Hotel Groupon for a great price.
We booked it same day because Groupon used to be instant (where you dont have to wait ✋). Me and my family waited AND STILL ARE WAITING FOR THIS GROUPON TO GO THROUGH for 7 WHOLE HOURS. STRANDED IN THE CAR. There is no way to call Groupon now. Did the live chat thing to get some reps to assist and see if they could push the reservation through (This was about at the 3 hour mark) and all 3 reps were USELESS. DISRESPECTFUL. RUDE. AND ACTED LIKE THEY DIDNT KNOW WHAT TO DO or would say "We're working on it," (Chat ended) or my favorite "It'll be pushed through within the hour. Your operator has ended this chat". Lol. 4 hours later and it still has not gone through. I'll be monkey's uncle. WE IN 2017 going to 2018 and we can't push reservations through instantly.
What if yall was stranded. Travelled and waited 7 hours wasting YOUR WHOLE DAY THAT YOU WERE SUPPOSED TO BE CHILLIN AND RELAXIN WITH YOUR FAMILY. And you're gonna tell me there's nothing you can do, fix, refund, reimburse, credit, or escalate to fix this. RIGHTTTTTT??? OH and then the last chat I had when I asked the rep if they could credit the money back OR if I could exchange the Groupon at least and use it for a different Groupon he said "I'm sorry mam but I can credit you $10 Groupon bucks for the inconvenience". LMBO??? Lol. $10 for 7 hours of waiting and a ruined vacation weekend. And when I asked how long it would take at least (Still being level headed here and kind), and what the process is now since it's not instant anymore, they ended the chat.
This will be my last experience with Groupon. I mean the most disrespectful experience I've ever had with a business that left me, my weekend, and my family baffled and speechless. To see that companies don't even have common human courtesy anymore is scary and frankly disappointing (There is no more quality in businesses, just quantity, stocks, and image). And yall wanna know why people yell, scream, holler and demand a supervisor. Because of uncunning, unhelpful, disrespectful service like this. I was kind to all the reps even though they weren't with me. NEVER AGAIN. My husband uses Groupon non stop. NEVER have I seen my husband so upset. He originally started the chats and I had to finish because he got so angry. I hope Groupon get they act together because this was a heartbreaking experience.

Got notification this morning that one of the orders is shipping... TO THE OLD ADDRESS I DELETED. What is awful is that all of the orders are. I contacted customer service and was told basically they are sorry and won't help. 3 out of the 4 orders don't ship until Dec 5th. How can they not contact the seller and update info w/in 24 hours. I'm livid and was told that if the person at the old address turns the package away they will refund. So they have my money and won't guarantee my products. I often buy of Groupon, the odd time you will get a good product but a lot of times the product is bad quality, breaks within a few weeks (primarily their shoe range), or never gets delivered. The photos always look good but it doesn't mean the product will be good. Most recently I bought a bag off Groupon, it was expected to be delivered within a week. After a week I checked the tracker and it said "due to be delivered within the expected date range" and that it was still waiting to be shipped. The same message showed after 2 weeks of waiting. So I left the customer support an email and with no "please" or "thank you" in the response. I received a response telling me to wait longer and not explaining about my inquiry about the fact that it had been waiting to ship for over a week. Honestly, I don't even think they looked into my case.
Then, today, almost 3 weeks after I purchased the product I contacted customer support through live chat and received a refund. The man seemed to be understanding but honestly it seems to be a gamble over whether or not you'll receive a customer support guru who actually wants to help you. I went to this website to buy a product not have money taken off me for 3 weeks. It has just been a waste of time and an annoyance, and it's not the first time this has happened.
Due to that and the fact that I have bought leggings with clear sowing lines on them (not very attractive and unlike the photos), boots that the sole within a few weeks has come off, boots that have created a hole in the sole due to lack of flexibility, dresses that are not the size described etc. off the site I will not be returning again. Also, if you plan on buying electronics, in particular laptops, off this site please read the small print as most are second hand and it's not always obvious in the advertisement.

Groupon advertised reduced hotel rates for Las Vegas hotels. I ordered groupon for Circus Circus. The rate went up daily, but seemed a bargain. The fine print said I would be charged $29 resort fee per day and taxes. On the charge out page the Fees and taxes mentioned were added to the room charge. I paid all charges. When the groupon printed, fees and taxes was changed to "one time charge". When I arrived at the hotel, they again charged me for the same resort fees and Taxes. The hotel said groupon kept the fees as their own, of course making it a bad deal. I challenged credit card payment.

Highly recommend NOT getting involved with Groupon. Customer service reps varied the information and instructions over 2 years of dealing with voucher redemption. Customer service did not support the business cancellation policy although they even put it in fine print. Groupon customer service would give refunds to customer for ANY reason at ANY time even if they had violated fine print or had an excellent service but complained with incorrect information that was proven to be incorrect. When they bought out LivingSocial, they pulled mobile apps for redemption without any notice, then pulled pc login redemption without notice, then had no customer service reps readily available to call. And no link for Groupon site redemption. Worst customer service that I have dealt with in 24 years of business. Regret ever using them.

I will never use Groupon again. Be very careful of the "fine" print that is worded very poorly as to deceive its customers. They make it impossible to refund your money (even if the vendor agrees to do so). The vendors on this site tend to be low budget as the quality of the service is typically what you pay for. There is no real discount with this site- just low budget service at a low budget price. Be warned in investing any money here. I know I will never purchase anything from Groupon again.

He informed us that there was a tax of $9.00. When I informed him that $9.00 should not be taxed, he responded that he was charging us taxes on the original amount of their services. In other words he was charging us taxes on the original prices. In addition, he insisted that we pay a $15.00 gratuity fee. This facility should not be in operation if they are going to scam people. When you clicked on the Groupon it only showed a page that said this page is no longer available... Printing the details or the confirmation was not an option. The hotels were willing to switch the rooms however since group Groupons customer service is unable to contact the reservation area except by email and it was a Friday night we got no response and no help from their customer service.
Being an avid user of Groupon for at least 5 plus years I'm utterly disappointed with the lack of care for the customer and the quality of the site. There was obviously a site error. What was worse however was the fact that the company doesn't even have a working phone or email to contact to complain.
I got a return label for my product, but their customer complaints are so vast, I don't believe they will actually ever credit me the near $700 I paid for this. Groupon by far is the WORST Online Marketplace I have ever done business with. People complain about eBay? Nah this takes the ball by a mile. Every single Ticket Opened by a customer has to be discussed within Groupon which it is understandable but how they expect a Ticket to be properly resolved or addressed when the customer CANNOT attach pictures of the issues they seem to be having with their products. So Groupon just believes 100% what the customer says and refunds the customer and a Big ** You to the seller.
How is it possible that they have not created a way which customers can discuss and send pictures to us so we can validate the return with a refund? So I had customers say "Item arrived Broken", "Item does not work", "Item not as advertised", and Groupon automatically refunds them without any proper proof. But I see Groupon does this kind of scamming business only with us sellers because they seem to be losing a lot of their customers. (Not because of Third-Party Sellers) but because of their fraudulent practices.
Now they also take 15% out of Postage? How is that in any way reasonable or understandable. So you are taking 15% of PROFIT from SHIPPING which the seller obviously does NOT profit from. Also, every time you try calling them or open a Ticket with them, their Support Agents take FOREVER to answer and if they do, they seem not to have the mental capacity or logic to understand an issue.
Especially an Agent called Nina, what a waste of air. She is rude, unlogical and have suspended countless of accounts only because her opinion is the right one. I have over 10+ colleagues who have had their accounts suspended by her over simple things where Amazon or eBay wouldn't have mind. I doubt there is any thought or consideration put on her wild decisions.
She should have a manager approve her every move. If she keeps going like this, Groupon may even run out of third party sellers. She capitalizes everything, immediately suspends accounts at once (normally because of one disagreement) and wants to teach and talk about customer service when she is the worst at service towards a Groupon Seller. They are all a Joke, I'm definitely sticking with Amazon, at least Agents there talk to sellers and buyers with respect, courtesy and professionalism.

I booked a Groupon voucher for Central Park Wheels - a bike company operating in New York. I booked the Groupon on the New York site from Perth Australia on 6 July. We left Australia on 9 July for our overseas trip and didn't arrive in New York until 7 August. When we went to redeem the voucher, the computer at the bike hire showed the voucher as being redeemed on 7 July - WHEN WE WERE STILL IN PERTH WESTERN AUSTRALIA. Groupon will not refund the money even though I scanned our travel documents which clearly show us leaving Perth Australia on the 9 July and arriving by train in New York from Boston on the 7 August. The voucher was supposedly redeemed on the 7th!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR OVERSEAS VOUCHERS. It is too hard to follow up with any difficulties you may have. This behaviour is fraudulent.

Something recently changed about their customer service. There was a time where you could speak to someone over the phone - now they have outsourced to people who do not understand, nor care about giving the best service (by actually resolving the issue that they most likely caused). I'm going to try and give details just in case anyone else has this problem.
I gifted a friend a Paint Nite Groupon for her birthday. She received an email and then the voucher showed up in "her groupons" and then disappeared - she no longer had access to the voucher. I emailed Groupon and they resent it to her. Not only did they resend her a PN Groupon that I previously used myself, it disappeared so that she wouldn't have access to it - popped back up in "my Groupon" as if I have an unused Groupon available. When I tried purchasing my own PN Groupon, it stated that I reached the maximum limit (I didn't know I had possession of the gifted/used Groupon at the time". After 100 emails back and forth, blaming the merchant for their restrictions - they did not own up to the mistake they made. Also claiming that I reached a lifetime maximum with Paint Nite and will NEVER be able to purchase through them again. It felt as if I were speaking with robots.
I wanted to get a refund for the Groupon that I gifted, but because I never viewed it and neither did my friend, we could not get the redemption code that Groupon asked for. As if the purchase date/credit card/email/etc wasn't enough for Groupon to look at their own records to find the unused voucher that I gifted my friend. Anyways - somehow the correct voucher popped up in my Groupon, I was able to get refunded and used my Groupon. Paint Nite didn't have these crazy restrictions - it was that Groupon that wouldn't own up to the mistake they made. I swear they are robots - talking about "Sorry for your trouble/ We understand/ We apologize for the inconvenience" all the while not understanding the error, nor actually fixing the problem. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE.

I purchased the Groupon Race Car experience for a racing buff friend of mine who was visiting me. We called the number on the voucher for days on end and always got a recording. The Racing School has two numbers and none of them were answered. I sent emails, left online messages on the web page and could never get an appointment. Finally, after days of trying, a person finally answered and confirmed that all the appointments were completely booked. This means that I have a Groupon that will expire and no way to use it.
I contacted Groupon, via email to Customer Service. There was nothing they could do for me. The voucher was not cancellable and there was no refund. In order not to lose my money, I extended the expiration date and tried again unsuccessfully to make an appointment to use the voucher myself. Still unable to contact the vendor. I again contacted Groupon via web chat to see what they could do. They took my phone number, in order to contact the vendor, for a priority appointment. I complained to the agent, whether this whole thing is a scam? I wanted to know if Groupon are encouraging people to buy vouchers that they can never redeem, and then the money expires and it goes down the drain.

I give Groupon 0 stars. It has one on the comment only because you have to give at least one. Complete rip off! Do not order a Baltimore Sun newspaper through Groupon. I ordered a newspaper, it was charged to my credit card, and the instructions to redeem the coupon were as follows..."How to Use: No need to do anything else! By providing your name, delivery address, email and phone number your order is complete!"
I was given a start date for about two weeks later, then just a few days after placing order received an email saying it was expired, had not been redeemed and I could use it toward something else within a limited time frame. UNBELIEVABLE. I've live chatted, emailed, sent proof of what was stated on my order and the only response was 'You're in luck... that coupon is redeemable for trade in.' I should have know better because a year ago I ordered a year subscription Baltimore Sun, was charged for it, received about a month and a half and it was cut off. I called the paper and they said someone cancelled it. It was not me. They said that it had to be taken up with Groupon, who did nothing to reinstate it but rather sent the same exact worded email responses each time. I have been nothing but disappointed with both the Baltimore Sun and more so with Groupon.

I sent the email to the address listed which turned out to be the wrong address.
I called The Ride who gave me the correct email address but when I followed the instructions, I was told that The Ride doesn't issue credits and that I did not follow the instructions correctly (WRONG! The instructions were so stupid and convoluted that I read them several times to be sure I was doing as they asked). Just lost $40 due to a Groupon sporting event ticket scam, here's how it works: 1) You order a voucher for tickets to an event (sports, music, etc). 2) Only after you pay, do you get a voucher which states that a 3rd party is responsible for sending (by mail or email most often) the actual tickets to the event. Emailed tickets can arrive as late as 24 hours before the actual event. 3) Your tickets never arrive. 4) You get on Groupon's website and navigate to the "call me" option and talk to their customer support reps. They say a 3rd party is responsible for the tickets and then forward your call to a group that can contact the vendor on your behalf. You get a voice-response system that tells you the number you're trying to reach is disconnected (nice!)
You try step 4 again and the Groupon rep states that they cannot issue you a refund because it's been over 24 hours since you ordered your initial tickets. Sorry sucker. At this point you can either ask for a refund (which gets escalated to a rep who's supposed to email you within 3 days - good luck with this option) or you just contact American Express and dispute the charge (you *DID* order your Groupon with American Express, didn't you?! Pray to the gods that you did, otherwise you're screwed).

I would strongly advise you stick to Amazon or an online vendor with a proven reputation and of a size that does not have to ** you for every nickel and dime they can get. Groupon is not ready for prime time. Maybe never. Go to the most reliable vendor. Save yourself some stomach lining and a whole heckuva lot of time! I was out $0.14 and did not appreciate it. I unsubscribe from their service and started this complaint. I will continue to share this experience on as many vendor review sites as possible. Groupon has got to go!

I was browsing Groupon getaways and had set my phone down to check on my grand baby. When I picked my phone back up it said "you booked it". My 5-year-old grandson had apparently picked up my phone and hit some buttons which accidentally booked a getaway. I had no idea what was booked, the terms, where I was going or how much it was. I went backward on my phone and saw that I was booked at the Marriott Hotel in Palm Springs, but later research indicated that I was booked at a "resort in Anaheim". I would never stay in Anaheim. I checked my checking account and sure enough $397.00 had been debited immediately from my credit card. I learned I was going to the Wyndham Resort in Anaheim Ca... 32 miles away from where I live. I did not authorize this trip and did not want this trip.
Groupon's standard cancellation fees it states is "within 24 hours". Wyndham Resort states you can cancel "if before 4 days of arrival date". I tried canceling and called both businesses within 5 minutes of the error, over and over the next 24 hours. I was told I could not cancel that. If I had of read the fine print I would see that there was "No refunds on This package". One blamed the other and the other blamed Groupon. Had I personally booked and authorized this purchase I would have seen and read the fine print but I didn't book it let alone know what "I" booked or what the fine print was! I spoke to numerous people at Groupon and the Wyndham who both continued to pass the buck. No one would refund my money even after I told them I was on disability and a fixed income and could simply not afford this. Not one person would help me.
I decided to go to the resort since I would have lost my money altogether. Groupon had advertised the rates as "50% off for this package" for that week. I paid $397.00 to Groupon for a 3-night stay. When I got to the resort Wyndham was only charging guests $89.00 per night. My "getaway package" was suppose to be the cheap package deal. At checkout I was charged an additional $23.00 per day plus tax for "resort fees". I have heard of resort fees but normally it is an actual Resort you're staying at. These fees per the Wyndham Resort was for "parking, wifi, pool use and use of phone or room service if requested! I fought and fought to get this canceled and refunded or even Transferred etc. No one from Groupon or Wyndham would help me despite my emails and numerous phone calls.
Groupon outsources their Customer Service and the eight people I spoke to barely spoke English. I canceled my credit card (which Groupon had apparently kept on file from a purchase I had made several months ago). I canceled Groupon. I will be reporting both to the BBB and I will NEVER USE GROUPON AGAIN! They are corrupt and have ads that are nothing less than a scam. The Wyndham was a dump with a dirty pool, poor room service, 2 out of 3 advertised restaurants were closed and to get the shuttle back to the hotel, you had to walk a half mile! They had 4 handicap spaces in front of the entrance of which I was informed were "valet parking at $16.00 per day". For a room available for $89.00 per day, no "resort fees", (only a deposit for incidentals), I paid $532.00 for 3 nights. I am looking to sue... Beware people!!! I should have been able to cancel this to begin with.

Disgusted, I had to write them MANY times telling them of their FRAUD, and how I had purchased them as gifts and many of my friends are allergic to plating! Their sales advertisements are misleading, bold face lies and they need to be sued! They also sold a spray tan membership only to email me and tell me the business was closed but "not to worry" because I could just drive a couple towns over and try that one! They seem to cater to businesses near the end of their lifecycle so odds are VERY high that by the time you try to use their... "deal" it can't be used for anything, and they won't Refund your money. They claim to offer trade-ins but they usually don't work. My last trade in... offered me $0. I have the images (and mental scars) to prove it.
Dealing with them is not unlike talking to a computer screen or a passing puff of air - the call-in support line is PERMANENTLY DOWN - at 877-788-7858 there is just a recording saying they no longer take calls... (Does that seem like a good sign? A "legit" business that doesn't take customer calls?). There is a Live chat but it is similar to a bot - it simply repeats to read the fine print of the "Groupon" and declines a Refund.
Please save yourself the headache... please... do you really think 18 shirts should cost $7? Or that $5 is gonna get you a $30 meal? If so I have some sand I'd like to sell ya; come on by for an estimation. Personally I would rather throw money out a car window - it would save a lot of time and Agony. Groupon sold tickets to an event at a comedy venue stating that the vouchers ($15 for two people) were good for any show up until January of 2018. I purchased them and noticed in the fine print it mentioned that it was not redeemable for all shows. I contacted the venue via the email Groupon had on its sale listing, and did not hear back from the venue for three days. I called during this time period as well. I didn't understand this as the instructions included in the Groupon were to email/call the venue (with the email/number they provided) to request your show.
I went to the venue’s website and found a similar email address to which I sent that email to as well and fortunately, I got a response from that email within a few hours. I was told the vouchers did not apply to the show I requested and was given a list of shows. I am not from Philadelphia (where the venue is) and was going there a weekend in November as a birthday surprise. I would not be able to attend any other show at any other time with these tickets. When I spoke to a customer support representative, he even stated that the vouchers WERE ACCEPTED for the show I requested (I have a copy of the chat), so that even adds to the confusion. When asking the venue (again) the venue said that the Groupon was not available for the show I wanted to attend. This further validates that the TWO businesses, Groupon and the venue, had miscommunication when creating this Groupon.
Needless to say, I have asked for a refund but was told in the fine print all sales are final. When I asked for some type of credit as I have no use for these vouchers, I was told credit cannot even be applied. I contacted the venue to ask if there was anything that can be done about these (I had to buy the tickets full price eventually, as this was a birthday present which is the reason for traveling to Philadelphia) and received no response.
It is unethical that the email address that was included on Groupon for this venue did not work properly and I did not receive a response in time. It is unethical that if there was miscommunication between two businesses, the customer has to suffer/pay for it. It is also HIGHLY unethical that if there is absolutely NO USE for these vouchers, that a customer cannot receive, at the very least, credit from ONE of the businesses. It is only $15. To a business that is nothing, to a customer who has been faithfully purchasing from Groupon for years, it is money. Hard earned money that should be refunded or credited for merchants’ mistake and confusion. In any case, "All sales are final" does not mean I have to accept a "broken item". This item, unfortunately, "is broken" and I would like my refund/credit.

When I asked Groupon for a refund to be used on Groupon services, I get various responses from different customer service reps, including "I will help you book the appointment with Assured Health", which they promptly backtracked from in subsequent emails.
Now that the Groupon has expired they say that I can use the amount of the Groupon voucher towards services at Assured Health, but that doesn't help me because you don't get a $30 massage from Assured Health and have to spend a whole lot more to be able to use the amount spent on the Groupon. So I've essentially wasted $30. Thank you Groupon and Assured Health. Both useless business models of offering services they are not in the position of delivering on. Why should I buy a single thing again from you if valid receipts don't yield valid appointments? I am stopping to use Groupon Services for good. I have never used Assured Health before and it looks like I never will.

I was a fan of Groupon for a while until I purchased an item that unbeknownst to me was supplied by a third party, of which I later found out that Groupon does not live up to their written claim. I keep receiving the emails and now I'm so done I tried to delete the account and stop getting them but can't seem to log into my account. I tried calling and emailing with no response. All toll numbers have been deleted. Can't figure out how their stock stays high & they stay in business. Fraud practices. Now going to my junk email.

I purchased a Groupon to drive an exotic sports car around a local race track. This was a one-day event in Columbus, Ohio. When I went to schedule the event through company's (The Motorsports Lab) website, they were sold out. No spots available. Meaning no possible way to redeem the Groupon Voucher. I tried to resolve the issue through Groupon support, but they were of no help. The only way to contact Groupon is online through a live chat and email. The number available is a recording directing you to Groupon's website support. No way to even leave a message.
I've spent hours trying to get some answers through live chat and emails, but they're running me around in circles. This is the second time they've sold me a Groupon and didn't deliver. A few years ago I purchased a Groupon for a window cleaning service. I scheduled the guy to come out 3 times. No show each time. Groupon web based support was no help, just a huge headache. Groupon refused to do anything other than take my money and leave me to wash my own window.
