Deals seem great but there's a reason they don't lost a phone number- I'm sure due to thousands of complaints. I bought a facial. One the experience was the worst - my time was cut short. She spent too much time washing her buckets making loud noises instead of putting diff, creams on me, massaging the head, arms, neck while waiting for a cream to dry. Luxe Spa in San Diego was the name. I wrote to Groupon and they simply said they will let the aesthetician know - noncredit no phone for me to discuss it. I guess inexperienced people use Groupon as their advertisement then Groupon makes the deals sound good.

A few of my relatives and their families decided to make reservations for Split Rock Resort using Groupon. They had rooms that included water park passes. Since we have so many children we decided to take advantage of those. We all booked separately for these accommodations. We checked everything and it was all set. I decided to look again the night before we had to go down to Pennsylvania a five hour drive for us. I noticed on the reservations that one part said what we had booked with the water park passes and then the other part the details inside now said that we had a breakfast package instead. As soon as I realized this I contacted everyone else and they said the same.
I knew I had to go and fix it because all of us were going to be showing up there with this problem and we already had been hit with the fact that we were going to have $100 hold on our credit cards per night that wasn't listed on Groupon. So this definitely had to be taken care of before we left in about 9-10 hours. So I began trying to contact Groupon. This is a very difficult thing to do. I finally figured out how to chat with them. I quickly realized while chatting with each person they would tell me the same thing they would not change anything. They said, "You have booked the breakfast package. You are all set." I would then say I had never booked this and there is a mistake. But they refused to listen, to look at proof, anything. I thought I was talking to a computerized response.
One of my relatives took screenshots, amazingly, from start to finish because she was so wary. The pictures showed the entire thing I was trying to explain. They would not help. We started out with queen bed with pullout sofa and kitchenettes with water park passes to ROH (run of the house) rooms with no kitchenettes and breakfast included. I talked to at least four different people and none of them would help me. I had gotten so upset that they said they would escalate the call to a supervisor who wouldn't contact me for 24 to 48 hours. After 3 hours of this foolishness we were leaving in 7 hours and I hadn't finished even halfway packing. By the time we were leaving at about 5 a.m. that next morning they had not gotten back to us.
We had to wait until 8 a.m. until the resort management was in. We were going to have to drive for 3 hours not knowing what was going to happen. I printed everything that I could before we left not knowing what was going to happen even when we spoke to management. During the trip my sister-in-law, the one with all of the picture proof, was able to get through to management at the hotel and they said that they would fix everything. I was very relieved, all of us were. We were there early enough so were able to switch our rooms to what we booked, which was awesome. Groupon had mentioned a 19% tax and a $20 per night resort fee that we would pay when we got to the resort. However, when we paid I noticed that they they took this right then during checkout with Groupon.
When we got to the hotel they now ask for the $20 per night resort fee. I said no we had already paid in advance for all of that and I showed her a printout. The manager that they did not get any of this money, it still says that we owed it. She waived that also. They said it had been very bad with Groupon purchases. They had spoken to them and realized there was a glitch in Groupon's system. If we hadn't had that fixed it would have cost us over $400 more to pay for water park tickets we were supposed to have included. I had a miserable evening before leaving. I had time I need stolen away by this company that doesn't care to interact after a purchase. Even if they do it's a, "No no no. We won't help you." They truly put a Bad spin on the vacation for me.
The manager was so gracious at the resort. She fixed everything. But it caused undue stress to myself and family members going on a relaxing vacation. People that took only vacation they had in years at this time. Overall, I'll never use Groupon again. I have used Groupon in the past with another family member booking a similar vacation but we had no problems at all. I would never chance that it would go right again after this. Groupon took the experience from being one of joy to one of anxiety and aggravation.

Frankly, read the review and you will see that I am not the only one complaining about this company over the SAME things. I was an idiot and should have read the reviews before to open an account with them to begin with. But I needed some chiropractor and massage therapy after a recent car accident, and they had some very attractive deals listed on their web page & app. So went ahead and paid $39 for a normally priced service at $150. After paying I right away follow the instructions listed on "my order" page and go to book my massage service on the company web site (Royal Touch Massage Therapy). I was also sure to check those fine print section that stated that this service will only be valid with ONE employee called Courtney **. Problem is that when trying to book that service with that employee, the website reported this Courtney ** as being forever unavailable, no matter the date/month I was choosing.
All frustrated about this but still kinda new to Groupon, I then go and contact Groupon support by email explaining the problem, hoping to receive a reply within 24h as stated on their support page. 2 days later the answer finally comes with a generic message stating: "I've reviewed your order and confirmed that this voucher is eligible for Trade In. You can exchange your voucher any time for an equal value of Groupon Bucks. The Groupon Bucks you receive from this Trade In are eligible toward the purchase of any Local deal on Groupon."
This made me immediately worried. Instead of explaining what was wrong with this deal or a way to make it right, now I was being told that not only I will not get what I paid for, but that my money will be converted in some kind of store credits valid toward my next purchase. HELL NO!!! I replied to the support email stating that either they refunded me right away, or I was going to open a money refund case on PayPal, which was the company I originally used to pay for the voucher.
I guess I got more luckier than some people on here, because a day after this email, I received a response from them stating that my money have been fully refunded. I immediately went to check on PayPal (I never trust just email for this), and here it was, a refund from Groupon. I don't want to have to deal with this company ANYMORE now, and even tried to find a way to close/delete my account there, which is not possible according to their FAQs. But like I said, at least I was able to get my money back and learn a good lesson from this too. Sharing my experience on here too now, so other people will be careful when dealing with Groupon if they really want to.

Groupon seems to be more of a scam than anything else. If you accidentally purchase something and contact them in seconds, you will not receive a refund. In my case, the deal was misrepresented in the email I received. When I clicked 'view deal' and made the purchase, it was actually to a water park. I contacted them in seconds, but they would not issue a refund. When customer support escalated to a manager, I was contacted a couple of days later. They told me the merchant had already been paid. I was stuck with something I could not use and lost $30 in the process.
Another incident involved my ordering a shoe rack. Two weeks later, no shoe rack. When I looked at the detailed information, it seemed to be stuck and was not even shipped. I contacted Groupon to cancel it, and magically, it shipped. Apparently, they contacted the merchant even though I clearly stated I no longer wanted the item. They told me I could return it once I received it. My question was why even ship it since I requested that it be cancelled. They care more about the merchants than their customers. Stay away from Groupon is my advice. I am no longer a customer and I now stick with Amazon.

Bought $70 Groupon for stand up paddleboarding. Business had no address on either the Groupon or their website, but had a phone number to call to set up reservation. Called phone multiple times over several days, no answer. Requested refund since the Groupon was unusable, but was told I "was not eligible" and could get a credit to use in less than 24 hours toward something else. Blatant violation of their agreement with their processing company.

Be very careful when purchasing the deals from Groupon as there is a lot of fine print. Long story short I purchased a deal for Baskin Robbins Ice Cream. The deal was five single scoops of ice cream for $9.00. Considering I am a single mother of five children it was a perfect deal to take my children for a treat. Unfortunately the fine print stated it was only valid at 2 stores in California. I reside in Nevada and get a chance to visit California maybe every five years if I'm lucky.
I contacted Groupon's customer service thinking they would understand. Instead I got a very condescending and rude representative. After a few min I requested to speak with a supervisor in which I had to wait for an email that took two days to receive. The supervisor stated they copied and pasted the fine print for me to read again. It is my fault for not reading the tiny two pages of what Groupon is not responsible for but it doesn't excuse the absolute worst customer service ever! Buyers beware!

I attempted to set up a merchant account to offer my clients Groupon discounts. Call them 5 times, left my number, name and company and phone number each time and have never received any kind of response in 3 weeks. When I called their 800 number never got any type of response except recordings. Went online to see their reviews and glad I did. Don't waste your time.

I recommend never buying Groupon. They sell coupons that many merchants won't even accept. They deleted their phone number so you will get zero help from their chat line. I used them heavily for 5 years but their new business model won't last... Zero customer service!!!

I bought a $10 Groupon for $20 of food a little over a month ago. When I went to redeem the coupon the company had gone out of business. When I called Groupon to explain to them the company had gone out of business they simply stated that if you do not do a refund within 3 days you are out of luck. I explained to the lady on the phone that the company was out of business and I could not redeem the coupon because the company no longer was in business. For some reason it seem to me she was either being difficult or was truly slow to catch on. She said she would email me back in a few days (which she did) and I got the same answer. It just seems a little odd to me that they can't even give you a $10 credit for a company that has gone out of business. Secondly to all consumers, if you can't pick up the phone and call the company (like Groupon) stay away from them. Needless to say they have lost my business forever. Shady company.

I spent $18 for $30 towards a seafood dinner at a restaurant called Jack's Clam Shack in Seekonk, MA, which had excellent reviews. After placing the order, I learned that the restaurant had changed hands months before, and the new one, Central Lobster, had horrific reviews. I contacted Groupon to refund my money because they had falsely advertised the restaurant by not updating its name and by keeping the five star ratings from the one that had previously been at that location. They told me they would not refund it since I had not contacted them in three days, and they encouraged me to try to sell it to someone else. Due to their dishonest business practices, they have lost me, my family, and any friends who will listen as customers.

The worst part of all this is that Groupon no longer offers Customer Service that one can figure out to give comments. The Car Wash purchased wanted apps. - phone nor email info did not work. Drove to location and there was no sign of a car wash in the entire block - drove around it 3 times to verify. Also, ordered 12 bottles of Taste of CA wines and in 2 months, nothing has arrived. Both orders were 6.29.17. Groupon does not have the integrity it once had - probably a problem of 'greed' and expanding too quickly without a plan. DO NOT DEAL WITH GROUPON!!! Also am unhappy with your website as I could not figure out how to add receipt and/or images because my copy/paste abilities did not work!

I just started using Groupon a couple months ago. I wasn't a huge fan of using it, but so many people recommended them for good deals. Anyway, with being so busy this summer, I wanted to have a tan and knew they offered Zoom Tan coupons. I went the first time and got an ok deal ($13 off regular price of $30) for a spray tan. The woman at Zoom Tan told me that you can use the coupon twice if purchased. Of course I purchased another coupon from Groupon. I take it to use and the clerk says it's invalid in their system and that I should get refund from Groupon.
I contact Groupon and am advised I'll receive a refund back to my credit card. In "my stuff" folder it showed the coupon drop off and then 3 days later pops back up? I let it go figuring it takes time for a refund to go thru. Today I contact Groupon again since it has now been a week. The agent was extremely rude and not listening to me. She was not willing to explain simple things to me. She told me I accepted a trade-in which I had no idea what the hell that meant. I asked her 4 TIMES to explain what a trade-in was. She then finally told me my money went towards a what I understood "credit" towards my Groupon account. She explained to me it went back to the coupon I can't use!! So thanks a lot Groupon for selling me a coupon I can't use and then funding it back to a coupon I STILL CAN'T USE. Great waste of $17! I will never use them again.

I have an unused voucher due to be expired after a month. I wrote to Groupon team to refund the voucher as my kids found the place very scary and they simply copy pasted their standard response as a reply to me saying they cannot. I fail to understand why. The merchant says that they are paid for the vouchers redeemed so this means all unused vouchers are adding to Groupon profits. Wow what a convenient way to mint money. Team Groupon, you should be ashamed as you not only are cheating customers you're also stealing.

I placed 1 order, 3 items, 1 confirmation #. Minutes later I realized, my address on file is wrong and color is wrong, so I needed to cancel the order. I was ONLY able to cancel 2 out of 3. Of course, with Groupon, you cannot speak with a human being! Their customer support access is not very user friendly, keeps routing you to FAQ etc. I tried again later and finally after speaking with several reps, got a Supervisor on chat. He said nothing they can do even though the product is in "processing" status. I asked since it has not been shipped, can't it be canceled OR routed to correct address? He said call the courier because it would be too costly for them to stop the order from being sent out.
So I paid for an item that I tried to cancel ASAP. If small percent chance, I can get hold of the courier, once it is shipped out to ask to route to correct address, I have to pay SECOND time to ship it back, because if I lose money it's ok, as long as they do NOT money. Again, this was NO fault of my own!! Their system kept giving me an ERROR, every time I tried to cancel, which I have a copy to show them. The Supervisor did NOT care but to say "I will fwd. your email on to the another department", but no guarantee anything will happen... So I just paid for a product that I WILL not receive OR that I did NOT want!!!

I purchased two delivery meals for 4 person from Groupon. I ordered first meal from Blue Apron website directly and the first meal was delivered as scheduled. Then I was charged to another $67 to my credit card. I thought they messed up some transactions so contacted them to refund. The response was first meal is normally free and will charge for second one before shipment. Groupon deal was treated as free trial and charged $67 for next delivery even though I cancelled the account that was their system to charge. So I paid $49 to Groupon and $67 to Blue Apron for only one delivery. So one meal cost ended up $118 for 4 person meal. They have a great way to promote Blue Apron but actually you ended up paying more than you receive. Please be careful before you make any orders.

I bought a Groupon gift for my daughter-in-law four years ago. She never redeemed it and now she's an EX-daughter-in-law. I contacted Groupon and through an online "chat" I asked if the $20 I spent could be converted into a credit. No way. The bottom line is that if your gift isn't "returned" within three days, you cannot get a refund or a credits. THREE DAYS! How many gift recipients call you up and say, "Your gift sucks. I'll never use it." No, they let it just sit there and expire not wanting to offend you. I realize I can't get a refund, but why not a credit? Groupon offers $10 credits for referring friends, why can't they offer credits for unwanted gifts? For Groupon, these unwanted gifts are pure profit and a 100 percent rip off.

Please be aware, Groupon doesn't issue a refund, no matter the problem. Just make sure 1000% you will be able to use the Groupon before you buy it (in lots of cases it's very restrictive and it's not even the merchant's fault). Beware!

When there is a problem there is no toll-free number so you are left to send an email which states they will respond in 24 hours (but they don't) or live chat where it takes forever to "chat" with someone and they don't even properly respond to your questions. They end the chat without asking you if you have any other questions and there is no goodbye message. It just states the conversation ended. Horrible! Groupon customer service used to be really good, now it sucks!

Why would they stop using a phone number? My guess would be because of all the calls to complain. I've had so many problems over the years and now I can't call in to talk to anyone. What a joke. I refuse to deal with a company that does not even have a phone number.

I bought a Groupon for sailing on Lake Michigan for 2 when my long-distance boyfriend was in town. I bought the Groupon and made the reservation in June and he came to visit in July. The company canceled on me the day of our reservation and he left the next day, so we were unable to reschedule. I contacted Groupon about a refund or another possible arrangement since a romantic sail isn't something I would want to spend money on unless I could do it with my SO.
Moral of the story, the agents I talked to online and on the phone were the most unhelpful employees I have ever dealt with. They told me I could have only gotten a refund if I requested it within three days of making the purchase, which is idiotic considering the company canceled on me, not the other way around. If you aren't getting the service you purchased, give the people a refund. It doesn't make sense to lose a loyal customer over something so trivial. Never been more disappointed in a company or the way they treat their customers.

In June, I purchase a $200 Groupon for a set of riding lessons from “Winter’s Run Farm” on Long Island. THIS WAS A GROUPON FOR A SERVICE, not a product. I called the telephone number listed on the Groupon to redeem the purchased lesson. Each time I called, I got a voicemail with a man screaming “HELLLOOOO.” I left a voicemail each time, but no one called back. I waited several days in between calls. Finally, on my fourth try, someone picked up. The man on the other line said that the number was his personal cell phone number and he had nothing to do with the barn that was offering the riding lessons. He didn’t even live in the same state!
I then looked up the address where the barn Winter’s Run was supposed to be located. Telephone directory assistance had no listing for a Winter’s Run at the address on the Groupon. I did find, using Google, that there was a Meadowbrook Polo Club at that address but with a different telephone number. So I called that number and got a customer service agent who picked up on the first ring. She informed she was with the Meadowbrook Polo Club, not Winter’s Run, and that Winter’s Run did not operate on the property and that Meadowbrook did not honor Winter’s Run’s Groupons.
Upon learning this information, I immediately attempted to contact Groupon to get my Groupon refunded. KEEP IN MIND, I HAD NOT YET REDEEMED IT so Groupon had my money, but had not provided any service to me. Instead of simply refunding my money, which any legitimate business would have done at that point, this is what they have put me through… I first web chatted with Vejevkumar ** on June 23rd. This was immediately upon my confirming that the company for which I purchased a Groupon was no longer in business and after reviewing Groupon’s guidelines where they promise to “have your back” if a company for which you purchase goes out of business. In that online chat, Vejevkumar promised to get back to me within 72 hours to investigate the matter. He never did. There was no response and no refund.
On July 8th, again, I contacted Groupon Customer support. Jhonny ** took the chat. In that chat, Jhonny assured me “I am really sorry it seems that the escalation was failed and that is why you did not receive the answer, I am deeply sorry for the issue, in this case I will send the information not to the previous team the agent tried, I will escalate directly for the refund that you are requesting. This answer will be provided before, usually this team answer really fast 24-48 hours.” He also, kept trying to get me to accept a trade-in, instead of a refund even though I was clear that I was unhappy with Groupon’s service and just wanted my money back.
Sure enough, 48 hours, I still did not have my money back. So now, I tried to get my money back through PayPal, the service I used to pay for my Groupon (I should have known better – the two companies are linked and in bed with one another). The first response I got from Paypal after initiating my chargeback investigation was truly unreal: “Your seller has provided shipment tracking information in response to your claim. We used the shipping company's online tracking service and found that it confirms delivery of the merchandise. As a result, this case has been closed. We're happy we were able to help you resolve this issue.”
Of course, this was complete BS because the product purchased was a SERVICE, not a physical good, so nothing could have been SHIPPED and therefore there was no TRACKING service. If Groupon had truly been communicating with PayPal, then one of them was providing fraudulent information. So naturally, I appealed the decision. Again, a decision came back from PayPal in Groupon’s favor (even though I had yet to get any service from Groupon and Groupon had yet to prove that the service purchased, lessons from Winter’s Run stables, could be provided). This time the response was simply: “The seller has provided valid information on the above case. As a result, your appeal can not be granted at this time. We encourage you to contact your seller for a resolution. We value your business and regret that you have had this experience. Thank you for your cooperation.”
There was no mention of what the “valid information” was (I had submitted documentation showing that there was a different business at the address and transcripts of my previous conversations with Groupon Customer service). Upon receiving this information, I called Groupon Customer support. I made two calls to Groupon Customer support and followed up with Jhonny. The 2nd call to support I demanded to speak to a manager. ON A RECORDED LINE, the MANAGER assured me that Groupon was investigating why the business had not closed out its account if it was no longer operating but that I would be ISSUED A REFUND ON MY PURCHASE CONCURRENTLY WITH THEIR INVESTIGATION.
Fast forward to the next communication from Groupon: “Thank you so much for your patience while I've looked into this matter. I have been escalated your ticket for review.Thank you so much for your patience while I've looked into this matter. Typically, outside of the 3-day return window, all Groupons are final sale. However, I have been escalated your ticket to look into this issue a bit more. I am still currently investigating this issue. I did have a few questions I was wondering if you could clarify for me? PayPal has notified us of a dispute on this order. I do see you stated that the dispute failed. Would you please provide me with the email screenshot from PayPal notifying you of the disputed outcome? If I have this, I can look into this situation further and see if there's anything further that we can do. I can't promise anything, but I'm happy to dig a little deeper for you here.”
SO now Groupon wanted ME to provide THEM with reason why the dispute failed? I told them that PayPal had closed the dispute so I could not send them screenshots of it. Got this as a reply: “Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, PayPal does not inform us of the decision they made on the transaction so we were not informed if they went ahead and reversed the charge or not. We will be able to see on our end about 45 days after a dispute was filed so if I am able to do anything after my investigation, I will have to wait until around that time so we can fix the dispute noted on the account. I was hoping you had a screenshot or email that I could attach to expedite that issue, but I can just keep an eye on it. I am going to go ahead and look into the closure more closely.
Typically, the merchant's contact us about possible closures prior to their actual close so that we can work with them on getting their accounts shut down but it looks like that didn't happen here if they closed. We will have our merchant contact reach out to the business and look into this issue. Once I know more, I will follow-up with you. This may take a bit of time since we have to wait for Paypal to show that they refused the dispute filed.”
So now I went through my emails and sent copied and pasted messages from PayPal with their notices on why they decided in favor of Groupon and got this:"Thank you for that information, Rena. I'm not sure what PayPal needs to determine if they will honor a dispute or not, but we did send the transaction information. We did not mention any tracking information to them, so I'm unsure of why they sent that first email to you about that. At this point, we had not received a confirmation of a closure from the business stating they are no longer honoring the Groupon. They have a way to notify us in the system and that was not done. However, I am happy to reach out on our end to get a direct response from them so we can figure out what happened or if there was some kind of confusion. I have attached your ticket to the escalation and will be sure to notify as I know more.
Once I have confirmation from our merchant escalation team, I will get back to you and let you know. We are trying our best to get this resolved soon, but I'm not sure if it will be resolved by Friday. Either way, I will keep you updated. I apologize I could not provide you with the outcome you wanted sooner. I assure you that I am having a team look into this and I will know more soon.”
That was July 20th. Today is the 25th. To date, I have not received my money back, nor have I heard back from Groupon or PayPal on this matter. I expect I will never see my money back because Groupon really doesn’t’ want to refund customers. This is why this company is failing. Quite frankly, I was far more patient with Groupon than I should have been. No customer should EVER be put through such a rigmarole to prove that a product or service is no longer available. That’s not my job. If the company who purchased the services from Groupon is out of business, that is between Groupon and that company.
I, as the third party beneficiary to the agreement, should never have been tasked with proving the business is no longer in operation. My request to have my money back should have been enough and it should have been done promptly within 72 hours. I have been sitting for a month with no money, no lessons and hours of frustration and aggravation. This is some of the worst customer service I have EVER experienced from any company. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH GROUPON. I will say that over and over again and make sure anyone I can report this incident to is notified.

I bought a fun tour with Groupon as a gift in Feb and want to use it now. I followed the instructions as the site gave me & to my surprise it doesn't work. I contacted their customer service by chat as that's the only way to speak with them. We started chatting and I said my coupon code is not going through. He asked what series of number/letters I was using and I told him. He said I need to use another code, and ask if I needed anything else. I said I am still having the same issue as it's not going through. He decided to try to enter the deal for me and came up to the same road block. He then tells me I have to enter the code at check out. When I checked out it charged me for the service. So I ended up paying for the Groupon deal plus the regular price from the company.
He then tells me after I'm freaking out that he's going to pass this along to a team that's going to get back to me in 24-73 hours. And if I needed anything else. My issues is unresolved, I'm freaking out as I spend over $400 and that's the response I got. After awhile he replies and tells me I can do a trade-in that I have to use in 24 hours or I lose it all. For their mistake I'm charged twice and out of money. Then someone else replies days later on how there is nothing he can do and thanks me for my business and never replied. For a company that prides itself on customer service and say they wouldn't be here without customers they sure don't treat them right!!

I said "No thanks I got it repaired at a reputable place". Groupon says returns have to be in 3 days but you have 3 months to use it. THE WORST - GROUPON should be out of business.

The previous owner of the Spa did but they no longer will accept and have told Groupon to remove the ad from their site and they have not. Of course I tried to get a refund and have been notified by their "customer service" in India but they just keep going around in circles without any resolution. I have made complaints to the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General in hopes of getting this resolved or at least bringing attention to it. After reading all the complaints against Groupon on the internet, I know it is not the merchants' fault. Do your research first before purchasing and check out others complaints on the internet. Once I got reply asking for voucher numbers and etc, that's it. Feels like my emails gone in wind. I would definitely recommend for others, DON'T BUY FROM DEALS THIS SITE UNLESS OTHERWISE YOU ARE 200% SURE ABOUT USING IT. Or just buy the tickets at the locations even though you pay little higher price, but you will have peace of mind.

I checked with the merchant prior to my purchase to ensure there were female masseuses. I booked through Groupon. On the day of my appointment they called and canceled. The female massage therapist was no longer available. I tried to cancel my Groupon and they refused. They said the merchant declined. I called the very friendly and accommodating merchant to discover this was UNTRUE. I filed a complaint with BBB and Groupon will only offer to allow me Groupon Bucks in return. I will NEVER do business with them again. Their customer service numbers were all disconnected and only chat was permitted. I finally decided to give them to another family member.

Be very wary when using Groupon! Just had the most awful experience with their customer service. First off, you cannot SPEAK to anyone, you have to TEXT. I cancelled a purchase I made about ten minutes after the purchase (as per the policy says, cancel within three days of purchase to ensure you get refunded). Then you have to wait ten days for your refund. And well, I did exactly that! Groupon claimed that I made two purchases of the SAME Groupon at the SAME time. One via my debit card and one via PayPal. PayPal didn't go through (probably because I don't use it and it's out of date or something) but my debit card did.
Now, the best part! I pressed cancel, but they won't give me my refund because they claim I pressed cancel on the FIRST purchase (via PayPal... the one that did go through, so what exactly was I even being refunded?). And now after an hour of TEXTING, they are REFUSING to give me money back because I didn't cancel within 3 days. Now I'm on the phone with my bank making a claim about this. I can promise you Groupon I will NEVER be using your services again.

I bought a Groupon for a business that stopped offering services and made multiple attempts to get a refund. Groupon states that all sales are final and refuses to refund $150 for services that were not provided. I even provided documentation from the merchant that was supposed to provide service stating that they were closed for business. Their online policy says to contact them if a business closes and that they will attempt to make it right. Uhhh, not really. This company is super shady when it comes to handling any kind of customer inquiry especially if you have a problem. Buyer beware!

Today 7/21/2017, I went on to Groupon to print my tickets for the concert tomorrow and saw that the tickets were expired. I contacted Groupon to see what the problem was and they told me I purchased tickets for a show on 7/19/2017 in Virginia. I told them I clearly must have hit the wrong button, but my tickets were supposed to be for Saratoga Springs, NY. The representative told me that there was nothing that they could do because the tickets were expired. (Well of course they are expired, I would have never known that the day they expire was 7/19, because the show I purchased them for was 7/22...??) I asked for a supervisor and the supervisor came on the line (live chat) and told me the same exact thing that the other rep told me.
I asked for a refund to Groupon of $60 which is what I paid, or tickets for the show in Saratoga Springs. He told me there was nothing they could do. I then asked for his supervisor and he pretty much told me, "the buck stops here." Told me there was no one higher that I could contact and pretty much that I was out of luck and have a good day (go pound salt!). I am not happy and I will never purchase anything from Groupon again. Several months ago I bought a training classes package through Groupon. Every time I tried to schedule a class the trainer had a different excuse. He only teaches two hours a week, his gym is under renovation, and maybe "you would like to get an online subscription" instead? When I replied that I paid the money for actual classes, he was very disappointed saying that only when he finishes the renovation we'll be able to schedule a class. Needless to say his website didn't mention anything about renovation nor provided the option to schedule classes.
So, I went online and told Groupon this doesn't work, I don't want anything to do with this business and I want either my money back or at least credit at their website to buy a different product. GUESS WHAT??? "we can't issue a refund," "we'll need to check it," "we will speak with the owner on your behalf" and so on and so forth, excuses, excuses and some more excuses.
Dear Groupon managers, do you know why Amazon are traded gazillion times their revenues while your stock is about to wipe the floor of wall street??? I never received a groupon voucher, or Gpass, or any type of download needed to be able to attend this event. I made numerous attempts to contact Groupon customer service - which, I might add, is the WORST customer service department I have EVER dealt with. First of all, there is no direct number - you must either do an online chat (complete waste of time!), or email with them (also a waste of time), or request for them to call you.
I spoke with half a dozen reps, and was either given mis-information, or treated like I'm a complete idiot who doesn't know how to use their site (which I have used many times previously). Finally, after wasting countless hours, I went off on one of their reps and demanded to speak with a supervisor. I was told one was not available but would call me back within the same day. Shortly afterwards I got a response that I could reset my Password. On June 18, I purchased a Groupon for a haircut and deep conditioning from Rockabetty's Salon in Madison, WI. The Groupon offer stated in the fine print section that there was a limit of one per customer. As a result it was my original intent to purchase just one. As I proceeded to fill out the information, I was asked to state the quantity. I assumed I only had the option to select one. Instead, I was given the option to purchase one or two. This made me think that the restriction of one per customer meant that I could make one transaction, either for a quantity of one or two. I selected a quantity of two. and paid a total of $35.10.
When I redeemed my first Groupon, roughly four weeks later, I was informed that I could only use one Groupon. I asked why they offered customers the option of purchasing two Groupons in the same transaction, if the customer can only use one. They said that's just the way it's set up on Groupon. They suggested I give my other Groupon to a friend to use.
I reported all of this to Groupon and they said since the purchase was more than three days old, they couldn't do anything for me. They went on to say that they provided the business's phone number at the time of purchase so I should have contacted them at that time of to clarify any misunderstandings. Needless to say, I am completely dissatisfied with Groupon and will never use them again and I hope others can learn from this experience and think twice before engaging with this company.

I purchased "Oakley" brand sunglasses and I received cheap plastic counterfeit/fake copies. I even received a pair of counterfeit "Ray-Ban" sunglasses in an fake Oakley box and case. I contacted Groupon when I looked up tracking information and it showed shipping from China! They said they were "final sale", nothing they can do about and to contact them when I received them. When I received them I opened the boxes and they were cheap shiny plastic junk. They had the Oakley logo printed all fuzzy on the lens and nose piece which the manufacturer does not do. They did not have serial numbers on the frames as they are supposed to. They did not even resemble the ones pictured on their Groupon website of the ones I ordered.
I contacted them again and each person in customer service told me different things. Some said final sale and nothing I could do then they would end chat after sending me a link which went back to home page. Another said would get back to me, they never did. After many attempts to reach someone that would help, I was unable to log into my account. I got a reply a couple days later saying they re-instated my email address and to click on link. I did that and still unable to log in! I tried resetting password and the same problem. I still have orders outstanding and there is no way to contact anyone or get an answer or check status. They even told me to contact the merchant since it was a third party. I told them, I'm sure the merchant is going to reply with "Yes, they sent me counterfeit items"!!! This is ridiculous and since the payments went to the Groupon first I believe they should be accountable and issue refunds for these counterfeit items.
I can't believe such a large corporation would treat its customers so poorly! I have sent so many replies to the previous messages and no response back. I cannot log into my account to see or contact the vendor like they told me I need to which will not do any good at all I believe. I think I have been more than patient with this whole mess! I would like to have this investigated since I'm sure they have sold thousands of these sunglasses to their customers. They should have researched where the products came from and background of the company before selling these items to the public. The items had different company names, no address or contact information on the website.
They told me to contact the merchant from the "Thank you for your purchase" email which I never received. Promo codes not valid on this offer. 6.5% sales tax not included and due at time of installation."
"If you do not have a further break down of the charges that the merchant is requesting they are likely due to the information in the Fine Print regarding the $35 fee and taxes. Since this information was provided prior to purchase and we are outside the normal refund window, this voucher cannot be refunded. If you don't wish to use it because of the additional fee you can also pass it along as a gift to someone else. Otherwise I can still honor the offer to initiate a Trade In made by the previous representative. Please let me know if you have any other questions or if there is anything else I can do to help." I purchased a Groupon for a Meineke discount, and selected PayPal to make my purchase. Prior to buying, I read through the details on my phone to make sure it wasn't just a coupon for one Meineke store. It showed good reviews and looked to be for any Meineke store. Once I made the purchase and opened the Groupon, however, right there on the first page it showed that the store was over an hour away, and the reviews were poor. It would have been nice to see this when I initially made the purchase and I'm still not sure why it was so different.
I decided to trade-in for Omaha Steaks, and owed .99 cents more for this purchase. Instead of PayPal, I used my credit card. Turns out I hadn't updated in awhile so it didn't go through. An email said all I had to do was update my card or add a new card, so I added a new card, one I use to make purchases online and in stores on a daily basis, but it still didn't work. There was no customer service number, only an email option, so I emailed to share my problem.
The customer service rep emailed back two days later to state that my card didn't work when she tried to put it through. That was exactly my problem. This rep did not seem to come from IT, she seemed to do exactly what I did, and never really fixed the problem. I emailed again to ask for a refund. A different person responded, saying I couldn't get a refund, but that I had 24 hours to 'trade-in' again, and if I wasn't able to, I could email back for more help. Unfortunately, I had absolutely no time within that 24 hour period to 'trade-in' due to work, kids, and a class assignment that was due.
I emailed back and they said it was my fault since I canceled and wouldn't receive a refund. I asked for the manager's contact information and phone number and never received an answer. The setup for customer service is horrible, email as an only option to resolve customer complaints makes Groupon come off as cheap, cold, inefficient, and that resolving customer concerns is not a priority since there seems to be no option to speak with someone on the phone when email doesn't resolve the problem. Multiple individuals keep responding. It keeps getting passed on depending on who is answering emails at that particular point in time. My issue was never resolved, and they say it's my fault so I won't get a refund.

The reason for writing this is the hope that it will be communicated to Groupon, and also so that anyone reading this may learn from my dreaded experience. When I went to cancel a trip reservation I made through Groupon Getaways, I learned that whoever submitted it didn't use my email and info, but instead used a company one. This made it almost impossible to get my reservation cancelled. After four hours and speaking to 7 different reps, it was promised to me that the reservation was cancelled. Since I never received an email confirming this, I called back to check, and the second nightmare began. I couldn't reach anyone directly because the phone #s provided are bogus ones. Via live chat, the rep just kept repeating the same thing: "There's nothing we can do because your reservation is still active and it's too late to cancel now."
I explained that the hotel has confirmed this reservation was cancelled, and this could only be done by the one who MADE the reservation. I asked him to confirm what I heard: that I'm being charged for a hotel reservation that I cannot use? He just kept repeating that the reservation's still active through Groupon. That there was no way they'd remove the $600 charge, even though the hotel confirmed that I could not use it there. Then, he said there's nothing he can do to help, that they cannot call this hotel to check since this is beyond their jurisdiction/responsibility. That they'd contact me the next day (which they never did) and hung up on me mid-sentence.
Hours and hours of frustration with no help in sight, left me in tears. Thank God that after explaining this to American Express, they almost immediately removed the charge and treated me with true professionalism and understanding. It's good to know that for every untrained uncaring unprofessional agent out there, there are countless more at other companies who know what professional courtesy and true customer service is, and provide it well. This section will always include all conditions of the deal that you should know before making your purchase. In this case, the restriction in question is: No delivery to PO Boxes or Parcel Lockers. Further, we do not have an option to arrange for the pick. If on the day, your delivery arrives and you are not around to receive your item, our courier partners will either call you again to re-arrange another delivery or leave a calling card at your door, you may then contact them to arrange a redelivery or pickup. I have now cancelled the voucher and processed the refund back to your original method of payment.
Our refunds are processed as a reverse transaction, meaning the refunded amount will appear in your bank account with the date that you purchased the Groupon voucher. Please be advised that you should see it in your account within 7 working days and if you are unable to locate your refund after this period, please do not hesitate to contact us."
This is utter garbage as previous goods have been delivered to said Auspost PO Box and been received and signed for. Four orders for goods of various sorts and counting. But somehow, this order has hit a "PO Box" delivery snag. Scamon thinks PO means "Piss Off" not "Post Office" box. The orders was supposed shipped by Auspost, asked to be delivered to an Auspost location operating an Auspost post box system. And yet, the delivery went missing in a supposedly "closed environment".
Hiding behind "fine print" is one thing, putting on a time limit credit refund is extortion to the point of robbery. Failing to complete a basic transaction under contract law, where offer, acceptance and consideration were given between the vendor and consumer, to then impose a time limit or forfeit the credit, is beyond a joke to the point of extortion. Groupon have used all forms of stalling tactics, to avoid fulfillment of delivery. An option was given to them, to redeliver the goods. But Groupon declined because they know they had a loss making deal but found weasel words to weasel their way out of a deal. Then went for the double dip of time limit credit or lose the entire amount spent initially! STAY AWAY FROM THIS CLOWN VENDOR!

I purchased 2 Groupons for a vendor called Seven Seas Sailing as a surprise for my daughter's 21st bday. I made several unsuccessful attempts to reach the vendor by phone, email and text to schedule the sailing for her bday. This began on 6/20. After a few days of not being able to reach the vendor I reached out to Groupon. Their customer service was the absolute worst.
Again, several attempts to get a resolution by email and their "live chat" and all I get is stupid generic responses by email that someone will look into it. Despite numerous requests for a customer service rep to call me back - still nothing. Will NEVER buy from them again. Buyer Beware. Absolute worst customer service EVER. Have filed complaint with BBB and put the charge in dispute with my credit card company.

My husband and I both have separate Groupon accounts. He bought a Prosonic Glow brush for me, a customized pillow case, leather bound book and day lilies. All these were bought separately and on separate occasions. All these transactions have gone badly. The pattern is the same though. The Prosonic Glow we received and it broke after two months of use. Groupon would not help. For the rest, the Groupon voucher could not match anything when we went to the sites we were to visit to redeem them and get the goods we paid for. We wrote Groupon and were told that we will be refunded in Groupon vouchers that we should use to purchase something in 24 hours or the original Groupon will reinstated. We wrote back to say, "we bought what we needed, we cannot buy under pressure (24-hour clause), can we please get a refund."
We received the same response, "Sorry for the trouble. I've reviewed your order, and I would like to offer the opportunity to take advantage of Trade-In. Exchange your Groupon, and you can purchase a brand new one. Here’s how it works: When you trade in your voucher, you’ll automatically receive Groupon Bucks equal to amount you originally paid for this deal."
"After we initiate your trade-in, you’ll receive email confirmation that $11.99 has been issued to your Groupon account. Within 24 hours of trade-in, complete purchase of a new voucher for any local deal using your Groupon Bucks to complete your trade-in. If you don’t use your Groupon Bucks to purchase a new local voucher within 24 hours, your original voucher will be reinstated to your account and the Groupon Bucks you received will expire." We feel like we are running a rat race. We went on each separate occasion to redo the process but the vouchers still did not work. Buying from Groupon has become one big headache and we are removing Groupon and their application from our business dealings.

Finally contacted Groupon through the customer support was told that the transaction didn't finalized. Contacted my cc company and was told the transaction did go through. Back to Groupon and was told to give it a couple of days to catch up. Two days later contacted Groupon again, and was told that when the computer system caught up with the all the sales. They had no more tickets and I would be refunded. Awesome. At least I am not out any money.
About 2 weeks later received my statement from my cc company and no refund but the original charge was there. Talked to Groupon again through customer support and still are stating this transaction were attempts only so I sent them my copy of the charge. Next day I get a reply stating I will not get a refund. That I needed to read the fine print on the sale. So now I get the truthful answer from them on June 26th. What sale and no tickets! I contacted the online chat (no live option for customer service) within minutes of the transaction being processed to advise them I didn't purchase these tickets for a concert, the immediate response was ALL sales are final. Seriously, I type? "This concert in Atlantic City I reside in California," again "based on what you purchased ALL sales are final." After going in circles I asked if I could receive a credit instead if they are unwilling to refund the money, again ALL sales... So I advised my "chatter" I was contacting my banking institution; response: if you contact your financial institution then we will have to let the process take its course... I've never seen such bad customer service and I've since deleted my Groupon account. Purchasing has never been a problem but a company should be defined by the type of support that they provide and they've been nothing but appalling. Buyer beware, I hope this helps at least one person out there even considering purchasing from an online company like this.

On Saturday, June 17th, myself and eight other women (my friends) went to the business "Russian & Turkish Baths" located in 268 East 10th Street, NY, NY 10009. We purchased the spa deal from the online business Groupon to attend the facilities in NY, NY. When I looked at the pictures the online business Groupon had on their website promoting the deal for the "Russian & Turkish Bath" facility I saw pictures of their facility. Unfortunately, the "Russian and Turkish Baths" facility was not what it looked like online in person.
When myself and the eight other women arrived we saw how dirty and unsanitary it was. It was so disgusting that we had to leave immediately after touring the facility. I have pictures to prove how dangerous and unsanitary the facility was. This business should not be promoted on the Groupon website and it needs to be shut down or looked into by OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration). I highly doubt that this facility has been approved for being safe and sanitary. When I contacted Groupon to explain the situation and ask for my refund they mentioned that they had a 3 day policy and my money could not be returned. In addition, they only gave me one offer and that was to choose something else on the Groupon website and purchase it within the 24 hour timeframe of the complaint.
As a customer, I was not able to speak to anyone via phone because Groupon no longer has a number to contact them from. Now, customers need to contact them via live chat or email. I have been emailing them many times about this situation and they are unwilling to help me. It is no longer about my money but about the safety of other individuals who will be lied to about the facilities and will have the same experience and my friends and myself. Below are the few pictures I took to prove the conditions of this facility.

Talked to Groupon customer support live chat about a week ago about exchanging my Groupon for store credit: they said it would be no problem. Here's the catch: this exchange only lasts for 24 hours, which was, at the time, not enough time for my mom to find another Groupon that she liked (the Groupon was originally a gift for her).
I talked to them today to try and exchange it, after they told me they would, and even to the point of higher management, they told me "Some things have changed recently. You will no longer be able to get a refund/credit/exchange a voucher after three days of purchase". WHAT BIG COMPANY DOES THAT!? I'm generally a very laid back person, and it takes me a lot to write bad reviews about companies. But for a huge company like Groupon only now offering 3-day store credit exchange policy, after telling me they'd exchange my Groupon, I am MAD and probably won't be doing business with them anymore. I suggest you do the same.

I had used Groupon a few times with no real complaints until one day I checked my bank balance and found myself overdrawn. After looking further I found that almost $400 had been withdrawn by Groupon when I did not place an order. I called customer service and was told that I only had 2 hours to cancel a purchase and that they could not help me. I informed them that I did not make the purchase and in fact the gel mattress covers I ordered were for 2 different size beds neither of which I even have in my house!
She called it a "Pocket Purchase". She said it sounded like when my phone was in my pocket I apparently logged onto Groupon and purchased $400 worth of mattress gel cover from 2 separate pages and completed the entire purchase all while my phone was in my pocket. She informed me I would have to print a return label and send the package and wait 4-6 weeks after they received it back for a refund. I logged onto Groupon after that phone call and found out that the items I apparently purchased were ineligible for return. I called and they said they could not help me.
What are the chances right? I refused shipment of the package and then called them to tell them their package was on its way back and to refund my money. They then tell me that when I refused the package it was shipped back to the wrong place and I should have instead mailed it back to this other address for returns. After a lot of phone calls and getting the run around every time I still have not received a straight answer from these people. So now not only am I still out almost $400, but I don't even have the stupid gel mattress covers I apparently ordered all from my pocket. I will never use this company again.

Usually I buy products from the Groupon site. This time I opted for a voucher to buy a 3D medium sized crystal for $34.99, which is 50% off. Tried to redeem it after I found a decent photo only to find out the company website that offered the crystal did not have 'medium', but offered larger sizes at a much more costlier price. OK, maybe inventory was low and I need to wait a few days. Nope, still not available and I did not want to spend another $130 for the next available size.
Reached out to Groupon and was told I missed the 3 day return policy and that I could turn in the voucher for another voucher, but it must be honored within 24 hours! How the heck am I supposed to find something of the same cost and be happy with that in such short notice. That did not work for me either. Well several emails back and forth, all these empty apologies, but they would not budge from the 3 day cancellation policy.
2 months later I am still fighting with them because they told me I had to 'try' to buy the medium crystal from the company they represented! What do these people think I have been doing all this time? I am baffled! I will never buy from Groupon again! I purchased a Groupon for a hotel reservation in Niagara Falls at the Ramada Fallsview after checking out the hotel reviews. It was well located in the tourist area, walking distance to the falls and attractions and had wonderful reviews. I printed the hotel information off at the time of purchase as it had numerous bonuses to local tourist attractions and I wanted to be sure I got them all. I received my email confirmation immediately and printed it off the day before our trip. Unfortunately I did not notice that the name on the hotel on it was similar but not identical to the one I ordered. I found out after arriving in Niagara Falls with my child. I should have checked closely all the details but I never thought I would actually end up at a different hotel than I purchased. It was so obvious that I overlooked it.
The hotel I was ultimately given was far away from the tourist area, in a rough, seedy area and the bonus tickets were mostly for winery tours, the casino and outlet shopping, nothing you do with a child. This hotel had much poorer reviews. So I got online at the hotel without checking in and tried to contact Groupon through their online chat with someone who either didn't want to help me or didn't speak English. I don't know which. I asked to speak to a manager and was told they would contact me ASAP by phone or online, while I was sitting on a curb far away from home? It didn't matter anyhow because Groupon took two days to get back to me! That was real helpful in an emergency situation. Note the sarcasm.
Then they wanted to know if the hotel staff had helped me and what were their names... really? This was a Groupon issue. It wasn't the hotel's fault. They have no control over Groupon bookings and if they wanted me to get staff names, they should have asked me two days earlier anyhow. Just a smoke screen to cover their butts and displace blame. So if I checked in to the crappy hotel, Groupon couldn't help me. If the Groupon expired before I used it (which it did on the first day of check-in), they couldn't help me either. Basically you’re screwed either way. Groupon deliberately waited two days to respond to me and left me stuck with a child far from home with no help. Thanks.
Then when I checked my Groupon account, my purchase order for the hotel had disappeared. I now have no way to confirm anything. All my other old Groupon are still showing. I've had a few issues with Groupon but this takes the cake. Do not trust Groupon. There are many other reputable sites that will help you if anything goes wrong or they make an error. Groupon is not one of them.

They were somehow mistakenly advertised within the Chicago market and thus told Groupon to remove the listing. I call, used the chat service to request a refund and was told that I couldn't get my money back since it was past 3 days. I informed the attending that the merchant doesn't take Groupon and that is out of the money I spent.
All in all, I spoke with a new person during each chat session and email. First it was "You can't get a refund", then "We'll look into this matter", then "We see that there's issues with the merchant, we'll contact you shortly" and now they flat out lied and said everything should be good to go, I could use the Groupon. I talked with the processing company and they said they have been having major issues with Groupon. There is no phone number on the internet that is operational. Obviously they do not want to talk to their customers. I had two chat sessions with them. I tried contacting Groupon, but there is absolutely no way to get in touch with a human, and my scenario was not an option in the drop down question. So that only really left email as the usable/viable means of communication.
What company (multi-million dollar company) has no way for a customer to contact them via a live operator? This is ridiculous. Unfortunately, this was my first Groupon, and I got taken. The way Groupon operates leaves the customer vulnerable for fraudsters like this. The company washes its hands of everything after you're past your 3 SHORT days, and then it's up to you to defend yourself and fight for your money. It's not worth it people, and like the old adage goes- if it seems too good to be true, then...

I frequently purchase deals off Groupon and I've never had a problem. This situation in particular was very dissatisfying and disappointing. I logged on to the Groupon app to set an appointment with a massage I just purchased. I noticed a “computer” was purchased, something I never tapped on it confirmed, how it happened goes beyond me. I then tried to contact customer support and it directed me to live chat. I explained the situation and waited for a response which took about 5mins. Live chat finally responded and replied with... "You have two hours to cancel." and ended live chat.
That was not resourceful information, Bad customer service with almost $800 withdrawn from my account. This will most likely be the last purchase from Groupon. I am a very unhappy customer. Now I have to wait to receive the item, return it and wait two to three weeks to get my money back. I'll stick to Amazon and other resources for my purchases. Thanks for nothing Groupon.

They won't give you a number to call and the live chat is a bunch of foreigners that disconnect when you pry for help. What incompetence! I will never order another thing from Groupon (which you rarely receive orders anyways). The BBB should shut this freak show down.

I advised them of this and the only answer I got was to go in the account and change the password. Well, the account is the email and it was incorrect so I could not get into the account. I explained this to no avail and never did see the show. $60 down the drain because their foreign call center employees could not understand or help. Not a company I will ever deal with again.

Purchased a box of 60 count AC Delco AA batteries. They were advertised as having an "up to 7 year shelf life". Around 6 weeks after receiving them, I went to use a few and found many of them had leaked, and ruined the remainder. I contacted Groupon, and was told that I had 14 days to return them, was past the return date, and could go pound sand. Clearly, they sold me a box of unusable product, and then refused to make it right. Additionally, they deleted my review of the product. These bozos don't seem to know the first thing about marketing, and care nothing about treating their customers fairly.

Fast forward almost 4 weeks and my item is still out for shipment. Mind you, my credit card has already been charged the FULL amount and still no bed. Today I decided to contact customer service via online chat and come to discover they don't know what happened either. I have the choice to cancel my order and get refunded as soon as Groupon receives the merchandise, which the customer service rep was not sure when that would be. All this seems pretty unfair, especially that my credit card has been charged and I didn't even get the courtesy of an update. Lesson learned. Don't EVER order a big ticket item from Groupon when apparently no one knows what really happened and I may or may not get item and/or the same deal.

I purchased a Groupon Thrill Ride prior to a Chicago vacation. I reserved my date and time with Seadog. Once in Chicago I confirmed my reservation the night before and everything was a go. 5 minutes later I got a call from them saying they had to cancel for maintenance on the boats. I could not reschedule as the following day I was heading home. I stopped by Seadog the next day and none of the boats were ready. They said Groupon would refund my money. Ha! I knew from prior experience it was going to be the same robotic scripted email responses for days and it was.
Finally somebody flat out refused to refund my money. I explained they have my money, not Seadog. My transaction was with them. Though no fault of my own I was unable to use what I paid for and suggested if they have an issue with my refund then get it back from Seadog. I really don't care, I just want my money back. They do not have a phone number. You cannot speak with the same person twice through email. It's a joke.. But it's not funny.
I told myself the last time I would not do business with this company again but I really wanted the discount at this particular provider so I bought it. Never, ever again. Stay away from this company because they will rip you off and make it so impossible to speak with someone they expect you to give up. I am going to look into suing them in small claims court just for the principle. They cannot be allowed to get away with this. Somebody needs to shut them down.

I purchased a massage from Modern Day Spa through Groupon. Ever since the purchase I am unable to schedule an appointment to use this voucher. First they want you to schedule the massage online and whenever I tried to do that all the dates on the calendar are blocked out. After several calls back and forth, I was told I can come in the very next day at 12:30 for the massage. I have to work and unable to do that on such short notice and I was told to leave work early. I could not do that either. So I was told that they were booked solid and have nothing available before the voucher expire, but I was welcome to make an appointment for later and pay the difference out of pocket. What?
I contacted Groupon and was informed there is nothing they can do and they cannot give me a refund. I asked for the money to be used towards something else and they denied that as well. Modern Day Spa said they do not get any money from Groupon until they actually deliver the service, so if I don't go for the appointment by the deadline, then they won't get paid and Groupon get to keep my money. Also, Groupon did not care when I say I will never use them again. In the end I should have listened to my mother, "The cheap comes out expensive." I paid good money for a nicely discounted massage and ended up with nothing, except being ripped off.

I purchased a hotel room through Groupon for my cousin's bachelorette party. I received a confirmation from Groupon that my room was booked. We went to check-in and the hotel did not have our reservation in the system. I showed them all of my Groupon confirmations. The girl at check-in said it was clear we had purchased our Groupon room. She advised we call Groupon directly to sort it out with them since I would have the billing information. Well unfortunately for me, the number listed on the Groupon is not available on the weekends. My only other option was to book AND pay for another room, which was also at a higher room rate. Fortunately, they had rooms available, as this is a very busy hotel in downtown Dallas and it was Memorial Day weekend.
After the weekend, I emailed Groupon for a full refund on the room. They verified everything with the hotel and said they could offer me a refund of what I paid to Groupon but could not pay any additional monies since I booked directly with the hotel. (They acted as if I purposely booked directly with the hotel, when I had absolutely no choice). I asked if they could at least offer me Groupon Credit since I had to spend additional money and additional time due to their mistake of not booking the room. They gave me a $25 "courtesy" Groupon Credit and said to wait up to 10 business days for the refund.
10 business days pass, and I still didn't have a refund. I emailed Groupon Support again and asked for my refund status. My response was, "We issued you a $25 courtesy Groupon Credit which you've already redeemed." I emailed back with the entire story again. They said "they just issued the refund and to please wait up to 10 business days." I asked if the original refund was ever initiated? Their response was, "yes it was initiated but it wasn't processed successfully." I asked how does that happen and why did someone not follow up on it, but I haven't heard back.
The entire customer service side of this left a really bad taste in my mouth. They were not very accommodating for the extra money and time spent due to THEIR mistake. Yet they tried to make it seem like I had another option to booking directly with the hotel as I stood in the lobby for over 30 minutes because the hotel didn't receive anything from Groupon. I tried calling Groupon to avoid having to deal with refunds but the call center isn't open on the weekends. I really don't ever want to buy anything from Groupon again. I feel like customer service should be more accommodating to help remedy the situation, but all they see are dollar signs.

In late April 2017 I contacted SoCal Movers (San Diego, Ca) to inquire about a Groupon I found online regarding a moving discount. I was informed I needed to purchase the voucher and then email the voucher and confirm move date. I spoke with John who informed me the move day I would be requesting was available. I purchased the voucher and then emailed John the voucher and confirmed the move date. I did not hear back from John. A few days later, I emailed again and also asked the move date be changed one day. John quickly replied, confirming my new move date and time and requesting additional information about the move.
Three days before my scheduled move I contacted SoCal movers to confirm actual arrival time of movers (they gave me a window of 8-10 am initially and I scheduled my move around this). Upon contacting them, they informed me I was not on the schedule and they had not received the voucher. I informed the gentleman I spoke with that I have all of my email chains with John confirming that I sent the voucher and that my move was scheduled. I was then informed that I could change my move time to between 2-4 pm. I told them this was unacceptable as I had scheduled my move around the initial time provided. I was then asked to resend all documents and that John would get back to me. John never called or emailed. I then contacted Groupon requesting a full refund as I could not get a hold of the movers and I would now have to find alternative plans.
Groupon requested all email interactions with the company. I provided them with that. I was then informed that because I had purchased the Groupon more than three days ago, that I was not eligible for a refund. Despite the fact that they have all information showing I have now paid for a service that the company has not provided, and clearly won't be providing. I contacted SoCal movers again trying to get information about the move and they immediately replied that my move was scheduled for the 2-4 pm time slot.
I emailed back immediately requesting a phone call, as I had already been provided with one confirmation email from them that they clearly ignored, double booked, or just forgot to add to their calendar. I would NEVER recommend SoCal movers or frankly Groupon after my poor customer service experience. SoCal Movers still have not returned my email requesting a phone call back, and my move out date is tomorrow. I hope this prevents anyone else from having this experience.

Then before I could get the box out of the box the item was shipped in, dust was everywhere. You mean to tell me someone was that mean and inconsiderate to send someone a used item (and I mean literally used). Dust and dirt was in the vacuum cup where they had just used it before they sent it to me. There was dust all over the vacuum and I hadn't even taken it out of the box. It also came with a note in the box that said "Please call us before you do a review if you are not satisfied with your purchase". REALLY!! I have spoken with Briana who was so nice and she is really trying to help me. The first time I called, she called me back, and it was MemoriaI Day. Kudos to Briana!!!
I was suppose to have received my refund days ago and still have yet to receive it. Evidently someone does not know what 24-72 hours are, when it comes to refunding money back into accounts. I think I have been relatively nice about waiting for them to refund my money, but next week may change. It's bad business to send a customer a dusty, dirty item. It came from Overtronics and whoever is over this company needs to make a change, they need to tweak some things because after awhile they will not have any customers. They have got to do better, because the consumer is spending their hard earned money to support their business, and they don't even consider that when you treat the customer right you will have a customer forever!!! Me and my husband have been loyal customers at Groupon for more than 4 years. We would regularly buy restaurants deals and enjoy savings. We have visited more than 30 places thanks to Groupon. Until now. On April 6th 2017 I purchased several Groupons for dining for my upcoming trip to Miami. I came to Miami and was unable to use one of my Groupons. The business in question (the restaurant) was simply closed. I came 3 times: On Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and it was closed on all those weekdays during normal business hours without any notice on its website or the door. When I returned home the first thing I did is chatted with the Groupon customer service representative regarding the issue. I explained that I am not local to Miami, that I really did try hard and came several times to the restaurant, I tried calling the restaurant as well as calling the Groupon while in Miami, but nothing helped.
The restaurant never responded, never picked up my calls, never put any sign on its door explaining why it's closed. I tried different times of the day as well, and it was always closed. I was simply unable to redeem the Groupon and it wasn't my fault. I even mentioned to Groupon that I have been the loyal customer for many years. And you know what? To Groupon it doesn't matter! They not only refused the refund, but they even failed to explain what was my fault and why they refused me the refund. I tried to raise the question of what could I have possibly done in that situation, and none of the customer service representative answered it. Instead they just preferred to give the rude answer that they don't want to deal with me and they simply won't refund. Nothing: no explanation, no apology, nothing.
They didn't treat me like a loyal customer, they clearly didn't value me. I spent hundreds of dollars at Groupon over the years, and yet they were willing to lose me as a customer after I tried to dispute a $19 transaction? This is very not typical of an American company, I am always treated in this country with respect and attention, something that Groupon failed to show. I urge you not to use this website. They don't value their customers, they don't want to validate your feelings, they don't want to listen to you. Instead start saving using other programs, like dining with Aircompanies' Miles for example. It will save you money and stress in the long run. I think the Groupon showed a completely unethical behavior and what they did is fraud: They made me pay for services that were never provided to me.

Refund process - On May 30, 2017 I purchased a Moving Service off of Groupon. The service was for 2 hours of moving service with 2 men for $99.00. In my opinion this was a great deal. I had already moved most of my things. What I had left would have taken only about an hour and a half tops from start to finish. Once I purchased the service using my PayPal account I immediately called the company to schedule the move. This is when I learn that there is a fee for "zone to zone" moves. My starting location was in Spring Tx. and the storage was in Humble Tx. although 2 different cities. They are exactly 2.4 miles from each other. The company wanted to charge me $125.00 for that. I thought that was unreasonable.
Immediately I went on Groupon to cancel the order. I then called a number that was on Groupon. I spoke to a live person, told her my issue and she supposedly processed the refund. Against my better judgement I replied to the survey that was automatically sent to my email regarding the call. I gave the lady a good review.
Couple days later I had not received my refund. So I went on Groupon to get the number to inquire about it. NO NUMBER LISTED ANYWHERE. I return to my call log and call the number I previously called. While the automated system informed me that I was calling Groupon it also informed me that it was no longer a valid number. Next option was email. I sent 2-3 emails and waited 3 days. I finally get a response and again it was like I was email a computer. I then go looking for a number. No numbers listed anywhere. The one number I found through Google was a different number with the same automated message. It seems very shady that a company will use only temporary numbers. Needless to say after a week and a half I contacted PayPal before the end of my work day. My $99.00 was sent back to my account. PayPal gets an A+ while Groupon gets an F-. When I refused to buy the upsell, the company refused to perform the microdermabrasion. Horrible company, reprehensible Customer Service. Tried to purchase a Groupon, website immediately came back and told me the transaction failed due to technical difficulties. I tried to purchase again, it went through. Went to print out my voucher a couple weeks later for my appointment and found that Groupon put 2 transactions through. I tried to call but, there's no number to call. They have no phone options anymore. You have to do live chat or request a callback which will occur in 30-60 min. I did the live chat and chatted with someone in India. I explained my issue and said I wanted a refund. They told me "Sorry, you only have 3 days to request a refund." Umm, had no idea that they did this and it was their fault so I asked for a mgr. Same thing.
So, I then did the callback option because I was getting nowhere fast with the live chat. A woman called me back and I explained my issue and she just gave excuse after excuse as to why things happen and how secure their website is and how all merchants are like them and they are one of the best. I told her "l don't care, I just want my issue resolved" and what she's saying is not true about all merchants being like them. Not true at all!. So she wouldn't help me and I escalated to a mgr. and she proceeded to tell me that the mgr (Trevor) wasn't going to help me either. I insisted on talking to a mgr. She put me on hold and I waited about 10 min. Finally hung up.
The manager ended up calling me back only to start yelling at me and talking over me and not letting me explain my issue that Groupon did to me. Trevor just kept yelling at me and telling me it was my fault this happened because I should not have done the 2nd transaction and should have waited 24 hours to see if the first one went through. Kept yelling at me telling me it was not Groupon's fault but my fault. Wouldn't let me say a word. I finally hung up on him. I have never had such horrible customer service and NEVER have I been yelled at by a manager of a company. What manager yells at customers and argues with them.
I will never order from Groupon again. This would be the 2nd time they have done me wrong. First time, they were hacked and someone ordered hundreds of dollars of stuff off my account. I got no notification, nothing. I just happened to notice a lot of money missing from my bank account. At that point, they had customer service numbers to call so I called and had to go through a huge fiasco to get that fixed and my money back. Don't feel secure with Groupon having your credit card info, they do what they want and there is no recourse for consumers. They simply don't care and you will not get your money back. They are a vile company and should not be in business. I'm absolutely appalled at how I've been treated and they will not refund my money and it was THEIR fault. Done doing business with them.

Colleen sent us a text minutes before the appt. stating they were no longer in business!! What, are you kidding me. Lousy, lousy customer service. Now Groupon will not talk to me. The phone is down and they have not responded to my daughter regarding the $35 owed. It seems like a small amt. but to us it's lots of money!!! Groupon should back up this purchase and refund our money!!!

I bought 2 tickets through Groupon to do a Hot Air Balloon ride in Sonoma Valley. When I called to schedule a ride, they don't answer and don't return phone messages (I tried probably 20 times to get a hold of them). I contacted Groupon and complained, but they just keep telling me to wait 3-5 days for the vendor to contact me, which they never do. I went through 7 service reps at Groupon, none of them did anything different except to tell me to wait. It has been a month of this, and I think I've been ripped off for $328. I understand that Groupon is a 3rd party sort of business, but really just comes down to their customer service not doing anything to resolve the situation and partnering with scrupulous businesses.

I order this ottoman faux leather which it came as a flat pack, it took me about 7 hours to put together as it was so badly made. I wrote to Groupon which they said they would refund money. I wrote back saying I would like a new one but it to be erected. I never heard back from them. I still have faulty Verona and the offer of only money back after my day's work is not acceptable. I would like a new one erected with it not being wonky it is not a lot to ask for. A few months wrote back to them and all they say is I can have is refund and again this is not what I asked for, I would like a new one with it erected as I need the item and although I have original one it is not in anyway a perfect ottoman and will not last as it was not made correctly. I would like a refund plus compensation for my hard day's work if that is all you have to offer but just taking it back and not replacing with perfect but erected one.
I would like money plus compensation. I had to struggle putting it together, again they have ignored my complaint. Yes ok giving money back but really I need compensation for 7 hours of my time due to badly made ottoman and dreadful instructions, a refund isn't acceptable with no compensation. I would of liked a non faulty one and it put together... still no joy. OR failing this I would like to be sent quite a big refund plus keep the goods as it is in no way perfect and should not of been sold for that sort of money, as it is now I should imagine a shop if in this condition would maybe get £25 for it not the £59.99 I paid... if it had not been faulty it may well of been worth that money but it is not. I do not want to have to put another one together so sending another flat pack is not an option.

On Saturday 6/3 I was in the process of purchasing a concert ticket via Groupon, actually it was a gift. As I was entering the person’s name who will be attending the concert (as instructed per the site) the screen refreshed and the Purchase Confirmation screen was what was reflecting. I intended to purchase the ticket but not for myself, as I stated earlier, so I reached out to a rep for ticket editing assistance (all while logged into the site). I clicked on the "to cancel/edit transaction" button and was assigned a CS rep who refused to edit the ticket, didn't acknowledge there is an issue w/ the system & kept telling me all sales are final despite the fact that I was not looking for a refund. Prior to my experience, my co-worker experienced the same issue however he did not need to make any name changes so the transaction went thru fine but he had never hit the button to buy the ticket yet.

Chat request number: 48513448. Failure to acknowledge or follow-up chat number: 60239637. I am writing this because I am no longer happy with how Groupon has been handling their customer service. I had purchased a massage package back in 2013 which was discounted at 72% off the regular price (mistake 1). I was able to book an appointment almost immediately with over 310+ bought (mistake 2) and lastly when I arrive there was no massage suite setup, it literally looked like a room with a giant TV and personal items (mistake 3). Being new to Groupon, I had assumed this was the new service type, you dismiss any decor and you simply pay for a cheaper reputable service.
In September of 2016, I run across an article of massage places that were shut down for being less than reputable, being overdue for one, I looked at my old Groupon in an attempt to cross off any place that might have been affected or validate that was experience was genuinely good based on past purchases. Turns out with some additional digging, a place I had visited before was in fact shut down. I was furious when I found out that the massage which was sold as a specialty massage was also unlicensed and had a record of an arrest prior to this revelation.
I immediately contacted Groupon to discuss my largely unsatisfactory experience and were met with immediate "Tough ** syndrome." Instead of escalating to a manager who was competent, I was informed that since I had used this Groupon there was nothing I could do and I wasn't able to do anything because I had used it in 2013. It was akin to someone telling a potential sexual assault victim that because you were potentially violated in 2013 and it's 2016, tough **. Although my experience was neutral with the original false massage practitioner, Groupon has turned a blind eye to this cause (Please note I was NOT assaulted in any way). So to Groupon, I will be deactivating my account once this is addressed.

I sent them 3 emails over the course of the next month. Each time I got the same cut and paste response. "We're looking into it, we're actively involved in solving it, we'll get back to you". Although the fine print said it would go out in 2 days, it wasn't delivered until after my sister left for my home. She's visiting a week, so when she returns home and ships me the package, it will be too late to get a refund if I don't like the shoes, or they don't fit. Groupon REFUSES to exchange that $30 for Groupon bucks (I've already spoken to 2 representatives and 2 supervisors). ALSO, Groupon has disconnected all of their customer service phone numbers so customers can no longer call them directly for customer service! Groupon does not pay the merchants until they redeem the Groupons, so technically it would be no skin off of their multi-million dollar backs to exchange that for $30 in Groupon bucks!

Um, I left negative reviews for her on Groupon and Yelp. I'm not letting her touch my hair, but thanks - That's super swell of you. They'll only give me the opportunity to trade in the voucher towards another Groupon, but I'd have to use the trade-in credit within 24 hours. I contact Groupon customer service. I am put on a good long hold as we wait under the hot sun. The answer: "OK, Groupon will give you the right to trade in within 24 hours."
"The client is disappointed? That is just tough luck." "The client had to drive 45 minutes to get to the location of the Groupon to find out it is closed? Just tooo bad for the client." I asked at least that you give me back $30 credit which is the pre-discount cost to Groupon. Effectively that would allow me to buy another Groupon which has the same value as if I had the discount code now. Answer: "No, we will only credit you what you paid." How is that attractive? So I asked for the money to be credited back to my credit card. NO answer. Chat was rudely ended. So Groupon can stick its business model up where the sun don't shine. Yet, I was sold an out of area coupon. Groupon has repeatedly placed the blame on its customer, the vendor, but I blame Groupon for this mistake. I blame Groupon for suggesting customers purchase coupons for areas in which they do not live. To clarify the vendor is in my area, however the coupon Groupon sold was not for my area, and therefore the full amount of the Groupon was not honored at the time of purchase.
I contacted Groupon immediately after redeeming this coupon, within 24 hours of purchase, and have been told that because I redeemed the Groupon (albeit, for a lesser amount) and my dispute was not settled within three days (not for lack of trying on my part), there is nothing Groupon can do besides giving me Groupon credit, which after this experience, I do not want. As far as redemption is concerned, the Groupon was a service coupon for an oil change, which I had already had performed.
When I found out that only a portion of my Groupon would be honored, I couldn't very well have them put the old oil back in the car, so I redeemed what I could of the Groupon, foolishly believing Groupon would make things right. Since then, it has taken Groupon over TWENTY days to resolve this issue, which in my opinion is still not resolved. I have been told I have Groupon credit, which I am not sure actually exists. The lady I talked to told me she couldn't give me a refund because she couldn't penalize the merchant since they didn't do anything wrong? And that it was apparently my fault because the Groupon said show upon arrival, and not to make appointment. Since when can you show up to a salon without an appointment? I was told by another lady that they had already had several complaints about this salon not holding up their end of the deal, yet they are still letting them sell these deals. I basically paid 60 dollars to a salon that's not willing to give any services back. Will never use Groupon again.

After a couple of month shorts I asked for results and they said they had been hacked and would get info soon. Then an email a week later saying they no longer provide support. Apparently out of business, they should refund money when nothing is received. It is fraud and Groupon should be accountable or put out of business! Horrible company. Do not deal with them. Btw, I bought an additional test from the company and they said they would refund for that test. Anyone want to file a lawsuit against Groupon?

I purchased 2 Groupons for pretty pricey facials at a luxurious hotel for a vacation. The "facials" were horrible which consisted of someone rubbing their coughed up hands on my face and neck with no product for about 45 minutes... therefore, I asked the hotel if I could get a refund and they were 100% on board. Groupon refuses to refund me after they had the hotel authorize in writing that they agree to the refund and made me go through many obstacles to get them everything they requested... I have bought stuff on Groupon for years, and their service which used to be great has 100% deteriorated. Well, there is no service.
Their "customer service" is in another country with people who hardly speak English and just repeat the same lines over and over again without caring about anything, and typing while they talk to you. And the "supervisors" do the same on the phone or email. It's horrible. It is fraud - they sell you something you don't receive... and they don't care. Since my complaint, they added this language to their spa vouchers, "Merchant is solely responsible to purchasers for the care and quality of the advertised goods and services."
I suppose it's their way to get away with this moving forward.. but my voucher was before they added this language. Basically if you buy a Groupon now, you're buying at your own risk as customer service is not what it was.. and definitely not worth the potential savings. If you call the companies directly they will honor the same Groupon rate. It's much better to deal directly with the companies.

Power Beats Wireless Headphones, Refurbished-I thought these earbuds were going to be fabulous. Shortly after getting them I quit using them, thinking my hearing was not good, and that was why I could not hear well using them. Later, I figured out that one of the earpieces was barely functional, and this was/is the issue. Because I purchased the item about 6-7 weeks before finally contacting Groupon about the problem, I was told I had exceeded the return or replacement policy and they could do NOTHING. I paid over $100.00 for the refurbished earbuds, so this is not an insignificant loss. I do not recommend purchasing any such item from Groupon since they will not back up the product.

Also I tried to get a hold of Groupon for a month before I started getting someone assigned to the case. False Advertising. They claim their jewelry to value a lot. Had it appraised it's not even worth what I paid for it. Since I was hospitalized and very sick from Dec to March 17 I wasn't able to get it appraised until after I was out of the hospital. Groupon would do nothing for the purchase made on my own personal computer that no one has ever touched or logged into. There is absolutely no way that I could have logged into someone else's account. I have posted all over Facebook for people to avoid them. That was my first and only time using Groupon. I purchased a voucher to use for a Mother's Day flower purchase. Mother's Day is today, May 14th. ProFlowers, the site the voucher is supposed to be used at, then does not list Mother's Day as an available delivery time, with earliest delivery available Tuesday, May 16th. Groupon lists refund policy as the reason as to why the refund cannot be processed. In my experience, Groupon has made a poor deal and laid the responsibility upon the buyer, as opposed to dealing with ProFlowers to take some responsibility. This is a poor business practice, as essentially I will not be able to use a Mother's Day flower voucher for Mother's Day, and ProFlowers will not make any money either from my lack of purchase. Only Groupon profits (Unless they pay off ProFlowers).
Overbooking causes harm to consumers. In this case, simply making up some refund policy seems stupid for consumers, especially when the fault lies squarely with Groupon and ProFlowers' arrangement. I hope that eventually businesses can figure out a more consumer-friendly refund solution. Both companies neglected this holiday, and obviously don't cherish mothers. Luckily, I was able to purchase flowers locally, but I'm sure there are many consumers out there who have not been so lucky. Happy Mother's Day!

It's a scam, you pay more than non Groupon customers for services and products like car window tinting. Real life examples: Window tinting "deal" at 46% off!! For a 30% tint, 5 windows, 2 year warranty - a $285 value!! Just $155!! What they NEVER tell you: Groupon allows them limit the Groupon to a crap product that is lighter than the 30% tint they show on the company website AND in their own words: cracks and bubbles and tends to fade.
The Scam: After you're trapped by Groupon (no refunds after 3 days, etc.) they will "kindly" upcharge you to a product that is NOT crap, has a lifetime warranty and is actually a 30% shade AS ADVERTISED, plus there's ALWAYS an upcharge for those annoying porthole windows - Your great deal of a total? $310 (before tax). I had one Groupon business tell me that, in all honesty - if I'd come to them without having to use a Groupon, they'd be able to do the same tint job for $270. Groupon will NOT have your back - they allow this bait and switch tactic and will not assist you. Your money is GONE, the best thing they can do "for you" is give you a whole 24 hours to roll the dice with a different Groupon "offer". GOTCHA!
The only REAL deal on Groupon is the vouchers for FOOD, where the value of your money is multiplied and you can still buy the same amount of food at normal prices with the money after it expires (just make sure you like the restaurant FIRST). If you are unfamiliar with the purchase you are making in any way - don't take the risk and get robbed like the rest of us fools.

Then when I received my confirmation emails not one Promo Code had been applied and I was charged full price. When I contacted the representative Cheri she said it could only be used on one unit and I said I know that's why I had purchased all items separately. The vendor was a no show. Groupon has a "Groupon promise" policy which is that they will guarantee customer satisfaction. We are not satisfied. We have been robbed. Groupon needs to provide reliable vendors if they are going to take people’s money with a guarantee of a service being provided.

I ordered 2 different sets of sheets on the same day from Groupon. The first set arrived and even though I had ordered a queen set I received a king set with no return label. I thought maybe I had ordered wrong so I went into my orders and I had ordered correctly. The next step was to chat with a representative who refused to exchange them for me, he/she stated that I need to send them back and re-order.
My refund would take 3-4 weeks to process. UMMM - I don't think so - they made the mistake, therefore my money should be available as soon as they receive the product back, but this person who could hardly type English did not seem to understand that concept as they worked off the script they were given. I certainly was not going to order another set for the same mistake to be made. Second order from that same day came a couple of days later, the sheets were the right size so I took them out to wash them before putting them on my bed. When I pulled it out of the plastic bag, out came a bunch of lint. The lint wasn't the same color as the sheets either. As I continued to unfold the sheets I noticed a huge stain right in the middle, so in the trash those went.
