I ordered flowers on 11/2 for same day delivery, which of course cost me more, for flowers for my grandmother's birthday. I received my order confirmation but was told that next morning by my cousin that my flowers never arrived. I called to complain on 11/3 and was told that they couldn't find a local florist to deliver on 11/2 but had no explanation as to why I wasn't notified. Then they put me on hold and supposedly called the florist who said that the flowers were delivered on 11/3, they were not. I called on 11/4 to complain, again, and was told that they would change florist and send out for delivery today. I am NOT hopeful that the flowers will actually be delivered. FTD customer service offered me nothing when I explained my frustration and told them I would not be purchasing from them in the future and would advise everyone I know to do that same. Clearly I should have looked at reviews here before I ever placed my order.

My friend and I had a terrible experience this past weekend and will never use FTD again. We ordered sympathy flowers for a dear friend of ours who lost her father. They were to be delivered Saturday for the memorial service. When we arrived we looked everywhere for them but they were not there. We asked our friend if she had seen them and she said no. When we called FTD to ask why they were not delivered we were told they would look into it and call us back. They never did. We called again on Monday and we were left on hold for more than half an hour. Later we were told the flowers were delivered but I assure you they were not. The flowers were Beyond Blue in a vase that would stand out among the others plus blue having a special meaning.

The flowers were not there. Our friend looked at all the cards that came with the other flowers to see if maybe they had substituted the vase (even though FTD said the vase would not have been substituted) but none of the cards were from us. We called FTD again on Wednesday, again after being on hold for more than half an hour, did not get any answers and were told they would call us back. We did not get a call back as promised. Today we are again on hold and nothing has been resolved. You would think FTD would want to keep their customers (especially the repeat ones) happy but they have terrible customer service.

Terrible experience. Ordered flower delivery 5 days in advance. Day of scheduled delivery, got a notification late in the afternoon that they could not be delivered that day. I called FTD and spent 30 minutes on the phone. Their response: a 20% discount!! I said that was absolutely unacceptable. After waiting another 15 minutes, they offered to refund the shipping. I told them that was not good enough and that I wanted a full refund. After waiting another 10 minutes, they gave me a refund and said they would not be delivering the flowers.

Should have come here first and saw the reviews. Placed an order a week before my 3 year anniversary. Waited for a call from my girlfriend saying she got the flowers. Didn't hear anything by 2pm so I called FTD. They put me on hold and supposedly called the florist. I was told it was out for delivery. Mind you it was going to a business. Got an email from FTD saying it delivered at 4:57. Great, girlfriend already left the office, so she won't see hem until the next day. Explain to her when she gets home and hands me my gift. She is more calm than I was at that point. She goes into work today and they don't have any flowers there for her. So I call FTD again, put on hold call florist. It was not delivered like the email said, it was going out for delivery today. Told them to cancel the order. I was embarrassed it didn't show up on our anniversary, then it wasn't even there for her this morning. Disgraceful.

It says something about when a customer will create an account or sign up with a website... just for the ability to leave a review about a company. With that being said, I decided to add my experience to the other 402 poor reviews about FTD. Let me start by saying that I posted several comments on their Facebook that have been removed by their social media moderator. Which is understandable because there is not one positive review on their FB page. In today's world of social media, the "customer review" is a consumer's Bible. Poor reviews not only ruin a company's reputation, but they deter new customers and repeat business. I cancelled my order with FTD for fear of embarrassment that I would have to call the recipient to ask if they received the (surprise) flowers I sent, and even further, ask for a picture to make sure they were decent flowers! Nothing says "thank you" better than a bouquet of weeds delivered 3 days late (if at all)!

It sounds like this company needs to reevaluate its entire business model. I have been contacted by a team member that a refund has been issued. I am waiting for the refund to clear and will then make a purchase with a local florist with good reviews on Yelp! Thanks to all the customers who took the time to write about their experiences.

I ordered flowers for delivery for my Mother's 90th birthday and was confirmed for on schedule delivery. At 430 the day of delivery I was contacted for approval of vase change (which according to their policies they have the right to make anyway). Told they would be delivered by 6. When they didn't arrive at six I was then told 8 and at 9 pm told tomorrow. Staff attempted to help but "reach the florist", couldn't tell me which flowers they were using cause that was confidential... and were generally unable to resolve the issue that the flowers would not in fact be delivered on her birthday. They offered to upgrade the flowers and discount the price... Neither of which make up for a missed window of opportunity for a birthday surprise.

Ordered an arrangement for my son's girlfriend for Sweetest Day. I had my son send me a picture of flowers to me after they arrived. I was shocked! Pitiful is the word to describe. Paid over $50 for arrangement plus $17 for delivery... insane! They are about an hour from me and it would have been cheaper for me to go to a local florist here and drive it there! FTD states they would resend a new arrangement. That is the dumbest resolution I have ever heard. Why would I resend something that was meant for a special day! I was embarrassed for me and for my son. NEVER USE FTD!!!! They display flawless craftsmanship but do not provide that same service to paying customers. The florist stated they ran out of the key flowers but wanted to get it out. No. You just thought I would never see arrangement and tried to pull a fast one!

I ordered an arrangement to be delivered on October 7th on the anniversary of my grandson's death, to my daughter and son-in-law. They never arrived. I called FTD on October 8th and was told that my order would be upgraded and delivered that day and that someone would follow up with me. That did not happen either. I filed a written complaint with FTD by email at 9:05 PM of October 8th. It is now October 16th, and no arrangement was ever delivered, no follow up to my call OR email, and obviously the "7 day satisfaction guarantee" is no guarantee either. Very unhappy and will not use FTD in the future. As of today, 10/16 I am to be receiving a refund - but that does not resolve this matter. Giving me a refund is as if I never placed this order to begin with and this was a very significant date and intended gift.

It's been 1 year since my husband lost his father, and he wanted to send his mother a beautiful bouquet of flowers to let her know that, although we are thousands of miles away, we love her greatly & care. I chose a beautiful arrangement of lavender roses. FTD offers 4 price ranges for this bouquet: $39.99 Good, $54.99 Better, $64.99 Best, and $79.99 Exquisite. I ordered the Best package (Exquisite seemed over-packed), which after taxes & fees, came to a total of $89.62 and they were delivered the next day.

Unfortunately, the sad, discolored mess they delivered wasn't anything like the lovely bundle I chose online. The pink (not lavender) roses were completely bloomed, wilted, & discolored all the way to the middle along with the droopy, wilted accent flowers. The only thing nice about this bundle was the green filler!

Consequences?? I called FTD first thing this morning & they offered me a 15% discount or the option to have the same florist (Lemon Tree Florist out of Kemp, TX) pick up & re-deliver. I chose to have them re-deliver and hopefully this time it will be better. Here are the pictures of what I ordered her & what she received.

Ordered online bouquet to be delivered to my sweetheart at her BUSINESS on day promised by FTD. NORMAL BUSINESS HOURS ARE 9-5. Checked the box that the recipient was a BUSINESS. Told sweetheart to expect a surprise. Nothing by 4:00. Called customer service, they put me on hold, came back said they could not contact florist but it should be delivered. Refused to say when. Sweetheart texted me she must leave at 5:00. Assistant would close up at 5:30. Second call to CS, same runaround, but with many lame excuses about how they could not contact florist, etc. Said that delivery was OUT OF THEIR HANDS. Totally unacceptable.

What about anniversaries, birthdays? End of business day came and went without delivery. 5:30 came and went. Finally, best I could do was get refund on service charge since service was not rendered as advertised. Finally, at 6:18 I got an email that bouquet had been delivered. But it was too late as my intended recipient had left for the day at 5:00 the normal CLOSE OF BUSINESS. MY SURPRISE FOR HER COMPLETELY RUINED! My sweetheart learned of gift from assistant who by chance stayed later than usual. I'll NEVER use FTD again. Customer Service gives lame and lazy excuses, rather than actual service.

On September 30th I went online and ordered a flower arrangement via FTD.com to be delivered for my mother's birthday the next day. The website said the arrangement and delivery date requested were available so I made the necessary selections and payments. My mother's birthday came and went without any flowers being delivered. The day after her birthday I received a phone call stating that FTD would not be able to deliver as requested and stated on my order but they would definitely deliver the following day. I agreed to the delay in delivery with the agreement that my mother would receive a phone call stating the mistake was their mistake and I would also receive an upgrade in the arrangement.

Well, guess what? That day came and went with no flowers being delivered as well. I contacted FTD in the late afternoon and was notified that the delivery was now delayed another 2 days but they would definitely have it delivered on the 2nd day. I informed the customer service agent that if the order was not delivered as promised I wanted the order canceled as this is ridiculous. To wait 5 days for something that was promised the next day? Ridiculous! I was also given a "huge" 15% discount for my troubles which ended up to be about $5. Whoopee!

So here it is... the day that the order was promised or should have been canceled and guess what? Yep, you got it. Not only were the flowers not delivered but I did not receive a courtesy phone call stating yet another delay was occurring. Rather I receive an automated email at 9:00 pm PST stating "Sorry there has been a delay in processing your order but since we were unable to reach you via phone..." Ummm. NO ONE TRIED TO CONTACT ME VIA MY PHONE numbers - either one!

I ended up contacting them - AGAIN! Needless to say, I have canceled my order and taken my business elsewhere. I will never order from FTD.com again. A company that makes false promises then sends out emails stating they have tried to contact you when they actually haven't done anything is a bunch of bull. I work too hard for my money to give it away to people like this. Do yourself a favor, go grow your own flowers for your special one before ever ordering from FTD.com!

Received a basket from a friend. Very nicely done, so well, we considered sending it to someone. Went to website to look it up and discovered our basket was short items!!!!! The number of fruits was not as on the website. There was supposed to be 4 oz of dried fruit and the package was 3.2. There was supposed to be a 6 oz jar of honey – what arrived was a few plastic tubes of honey weighing 1.2oz. Called customer service and they offered to send another basket.

I specifically asked they take care to see it was packed with the correct size and weight items. This time the dried fruit weighed 2.5 oz instead of the stated 4. Honey arrived in plastic tubes again and weighed 1.5 oz rather than 6. If you should send FTD, please do tell the recipient what they are supposed to get and what quantities. Again, the basket looked lovely, no problem with the replacement except it too was short weight on the fruit and honey. If they would have gotten the weights correct it could have been perfect.

I order flowers 2 days ahead of time for my Mother's 84th birthday. By 2 pm she still hadn't received them so I called customer service to see if I could get an estimated time of delivery (family came to pick my Mom up and take her out of state so I wanted them to either postpone delivery or give me an estimate of how much longer they had to wait). Well all customer service can do is call and/or email the florist assigned. They did this from 2pm until my last call at 7pm. Never once did they receive a response from the florist about the delivery status, but they would not cancel the order and reschedule it for delivery the next day in the area my Mother was going to, just in case the florist had delivered or made an attempt to deliver!

Well the next day, I called again about about the status (getting a different person each time), only to find out that the florist did NOT deliver the day before (small town, no reason the florist couldn't make it). The order was then rerouted to the new location. We immediately received an email form FTD that the florist would have to substitute arrangements because of availability (understandable), and also, FTD was going to give her an upgraded arrangement due to all the problems we had. I felt better even though this is now 2 days AFTER her birthday.

Well her arrangement came today... VERY UNHAPPY!!! I received pictures of the flowers and my jaw dropped! First of all, I 'assumed' when they 'substitute' something that it means replace with something similar. Well I was wrong, I would think they would of tried to use same colors (different flowers). I also paid extra for an upgraded arrangement, and on top of that FTD offered an upgrade. The size of the arrangement was so small, it was embarrassing! I will never again do business with this company. I have learned my lesson, I will go directly to florist in the local area to place orders.

I ordered a month in advance for my mom's 90th birthday. Flowers were never delivered. I emailed several times, (I did not call as I was out of the country) got automated responses and finally "we'll look into it." A week AFTER scheduled delivery I received an email stating they could not be delivered to her address. I spoke to a customer service employee today who apologized many times, said they contacted 8 florists and none could deliver to her area, and said it was a mistake that I was not notified sooner. I received a refund, but that's not the point - I relied on them to deliver flowers to my mom, since I could not be there. So it took FTD a month to call 8 florists to find out no one could deliver and then another week to tell me that? Really???

Ordered flowers for a good friend's mother's funeral & was completely embarrassed by what was delivered! First of all, I did not receive confirmation that the flowers were delivered and they were supposed to be arriving at funeral home by 3 pm yesterday. So around 4 I contacted FTD. They put me on hold while they attempted to contact the florist. After a few minutes the lady came back and said they were not answering because they were probably out delivering. She said she would tag her name on my account so she could call me as soon as she heard back. Never received anything back. Around 5 I called again, a man answered and not only was he rude, he didn't even apologize once for the inconvenience. He attemped to call the florist and told me the same thing (they are not answering the phone).

In tears I asked him if he could please try to contact them again as this was important to me. He said okay and called again. Barely a minute later comes back on the line and says they didn't answer. I told him I was going to the funeral home myself to check to see if they were delivered and if not I would be expecting a refund. He kept repeating himself and saying, "Well, we didn't get a message from the florist that there was an issue, so it should be getting delivered". Not very comforting to someone who just lost someone close to them.

I get to the funeral home and looked for flowers that resembled the one's I know I purchased. Didn't see any that came close. Finally I read through the cards and located the flowers that were sent in our name. These flowers looked NOTHING like the picture online and they were delivered LATE to the funeral home. Chose fall flowers because the deceased loved fall, these were not fall. ALSO paid for the BEST selection (from the options Good, Better, Best and Grand or something). This does not look like a bouquet of BEST flowers. WHY ARE THERE CARNATIONS?! I would not even pay $20 for these flowers let alone the $91.97 total that our order came to.

Purchased a Groupon offer for $15 (which allowed us to receive $30 off of our order) and now I am out the $15 from Groupon as well as the $61.97! The card that was included was pathetic and barely legible, as if their printer ran out of ink or something. They did not bother to reprint it and it was a piece of paper TAPED inside of an actual card - looked VERY cheap. I will NEVER EVER order from Groupon or FTD AGAIN.

At 4:11 pm, I called FTD because no delivery had happened and FTD called florist. I was told that the order was out for delivery and it should be very soon. However, no call was received that evening. By 9:43 am on 8/19/15 no call had been received, so I called FTD and FTD called the florist. FTD told me that the florist had attempted to make a delivery, but no one was home. This is not true, as at least two people were home all day long at my house. The funeral home had a link to FTD, and we assumed that ordering through FTD was the most expeditious way to go. I received two confirmations of my order. I received an email saying that they were working on the order. The morning after the funeral, I received an email from FTD saying that the order could not be filled. They contract with only one of five florists in the town in question and that florist was out of the white lilies in our arrangement. A large city with numerous florists is less than an hour's drive away. I will never order from FTD again.

I was assured it would be delivered before 3:00. It was delivered however the bouquet looked nothing like what I ordered. It looked like a ten dollar flower arrangement from a grocery store. We called and complained and they refunded us 20% (17 dollars). These flowers cost $117. Math doesn't add up. They also said they would send us a 20% coupon for our next order. We will never be ordering from here again so that is useless. I am beyond disappointed. Thank you ftd for ruining our surprise.

I live in the Chicago area and ordered two identical floral arrangements (w/ a 4 piece Godiva Chocolate extra) to be delivered on August 1, 2015 to 2 different individuals in the Grand Rapids area. When one of the recipients sent me a picture of what she received, then similar to Sonia, I was appalled, disgusted, furious and very embarrassed. This was NOT what I had ordered. I spent nearly $200 on those arrangements (the upgraded version) and what was sent was not even up to par with the least expensive arrangement.

To say that I will never use FTD again is an understatement. I agree with Sonia that they rely on you not seeing what was sent because you don't live in the area and then RIP YOU OFF. Totally unacceptable, and I hope others not only in the Grand Rapids, MI area, but also all over the US, will see that this organization consistently commits fraud by sending cheap versions so that they can put money in their own pockets! I intend to find a reputable florist in the area instead of relying on a network organization like FTD and give them my business.

Imagine my surprise when the photo she sent as verification was a pony tail palm (this is a common plant that may be purchased anywhere for one tenth that cost). I was guaranteed replacement with the actual gift Thursday, 7/30, no delivery, no call until yesterday (8/2). They verified delivery by Tuesday, 8/4. I think the problem is that FTD has no control over their vendors. They just send the order and hope for the best. Until they get some quality control in place I recommend using a different service.

I was not impressed at all, the roses look like they were old, the outside petals were terrible and I doubt that they will last a very short time. The overall look of the arrangement looks like they went to the local grocery store bought a cheap bouquet of flowers and stuck them in a vase. I contacted them by email and have not got a response from them. I thought FTD had better florists.

The flowers were delivered in the morning, and I paid my friend a visit in the evening. I was absolutely appalled with the quality of their product during my visit. Part of the flowers were already wilting, and the bouquet looked like a 10 dollar flower arrangement from a grocery store in a cheap vase from a dollar store. I paid $90 for the arrangement. This is the second time this happens to me with FTD! I was completely shocked!

This morning I called FTD customer service and asked to have the issue addressed. Their only solution was for the florist to pick up the flowers before they could issue a refund. I also have their free annual membership which I asked to be refunded. You guessed right, they won't! I will NEVER EVER order from ftd again. They count on 90% of their customers not seeing the delivered product. I should have stuck with my primary plan of using my local florist - unfortunately she was out on vacation. The arrangement arrived at 1025 and was neither the arrangement I purchased or similar in size to the arrangement I ordered. I spent 15 minutes on the phone with FTD 800 number to notify them that the arrangement arrived late and was not my order.

The representative contacted the florist while I held... during my brother's services... whom agreed to replace the arrangement. I requested the arrangement be replaced with the item I ordered before removing the wrong item. I was told it would be done within 1 hour. Instead, the arrangement in place was removed at approx. 1130. The correct arrangement was not delivered until 1445, 15 minutes before the service ended. However, there was no apology or offer to prove they can actually get the job done right. Clearly there is no do-over once the person is buried. My mother who lives across the country had also ordered a $150 arrangement through FTD for the same funeral. I sent her a photo of the arrangement and it was a smaller and cheaper version of what she'd ordered, clearly an attempt to get away with a cheap-o substitution. I'm sure florists get away with this all the time at funerals because there are usually a lot of flowers and nobody to take a photo of what was delivered. I wouldn't use FTD again and would recommend that others use them with caution, especially when there's no second chance to get it right.

Okay I tried to order some flowers for my girlfriend. Now granted they were only $69, but the call taker was extremely rude. She was trying to hurry up my order and rush me off the phone. She said her name was Abby, had an Asian accent and was not helpful. Normally I called in the past and ask them what they thought of the flowers and I was ordering and then give me the positive thoughts and helping me take an arrangement. But she was just as rude as they become. After finally purchasing the order online and noticing the huge surge charge, which is almost the same price of the flowers, I called in again and got another rude call taker. I didn't catch her name this time because she was extremely fast which led me to believe that the only want to do is get you on and off the phone call. So I decided to just go through with what I had ordered online.

A day later I get a confirmation email that my flower arrangements had been shipped via FedEx, when they started shipping things through FedEx I have no idea. But that just doesn't sound professional. Not only that the FedEx tracking number that they gave me didn't work!! So I tried calling again this time I got a guy who also just wanted to rush me off the call and tell me "all your flowers are in good hands." That's not what I asked for "I wanted to know what the tracking number is in the status of my flowers", they refused to give me a good tracking number and hung up!!

So I thought I'd try to call in the next day I got a girl named Bridget, who uses the name Bridget nowadays. Anyways I asked her about the tracking number and she says "oh well, we're able to pull it up on our side." Once again that's not what I asked, I asked "where the location was in a good tracking number". She said "sir it's on the truck." FTD used to be one of my favorite places to order flowers from. Now it's just become a place run by hooligans who only want to get you to place an order and then get you off the line, they don't care how you feel!! I don't think I'll ever use this company ever again!

And when once again they didn't show, I called to let them know once again no flowers and they put me on hold for about 20 mins and came back and said they were told they were delivered and I told them my mother in law was at work so how could that be?? Bottom line: With #FTD, you overpay for service that you don't get and products that don't get delivered right. A +$150 worth floral cake and balloons order for my fiancee's 30th birthday turned into one memorable disaster. #FTD delivered 2 floral cakes instead of one and 'forgot' to deliver the balloons which had the birthday message embedded. So what do they do? They send me an email explaining the clerical error... but wait for it... no solution offered. No 'We will call your fiance to apologize,' no 'We will refund you' and certainly no 'We will deliver the balloons as soon as possible.'

So I called them yet again to ask for solutions and they promised to call her and deliver an even bigger bunch of balloons... but deliver them the day after because apparently after 2 pm, it's impossible to find someone on New York to deliver balloons. So I agree but you guessed it... 4 days later, NO BALLOONS! In total, I spoke to 4 people and still no service: **. By the way, this is not the first time they messed up. This "Dignity Memorial Flower Delivery" is arranged through the Dignity Funeral Home - Pacific View. I can't tell you how embarrassed and mortified my wife was when she saw the flowers near the casket. The wreath is supposed to be completely covered with flowers (no spaces) in full bloom. These chrysanthemums were scrawny and haphazardly arranged on the wreath.

Chinese funerals are as important as births - they can't be redone. We paid $214.90 for the work of an amateur floral designer. FTD claims that they offer the "good as Gold policy". Well we can't substitute another flower arrangement. The flowers are probably still at Pacific View if they want to see for themselves. We would want a full refund for this upsetting incident, which I am sure does not represent the standard FTD claims to maintain.

Wanting to get some flowers at the last minute and not knowing what to do, I decided to go to ftd.com, thinking it was the best deal. Realizing I could decrease the price dramatically by visiting the website in different ways, I thought I had tricked the system into giving myself an amazing deal. Once I got through the order process, wouldn't you know it, extra "fees" essentially doubled the price. Well, I guess that's what I get for thinking I beat the system, I thought to myself. Better to ahead and order so I get them on time anyway.

When it came time, the flowers did not arrive. I went to a local florist a couple of blocks away and got some flowers at a very fair price. Relieved, I called to cancel my order from ftd.com. I pressed the number for 'cancel' on my phone. I waited half an hour. I called back. Waited again. Called and waited again. I put the phone on speaker for one hour. No one answered. Having an idea, I called again I pressed the number corresponding to 'new order'. Wouldn't you know it -- someone answered within five minutes! Seeming surprised and disappointed when I said I wanted to cancel, the representative offered me several deals to keep my order. I could keep my order and get three free offers of flowers worth $100, she offered. Suspecting this was some sort of trick that would be attached to ridiculous 'fees' like my initial order, I persisted with my cancellation. Avoid this company.

$30 for $15 dollar Groupon. Rather than going to the site and finding a good deal to purchase then adding my Groupon at checkout - I was herded into only being able to order from a limited selection that contained limited specials. End result was I could have saved MORE MONEY by not using the Groupon. On a good note there were issues with my first FTD delivery and FTD promptly resent the order which I thought was great customer service. So I am happy with FTD in general - but upset that the Groupon had unwarranted stipulations.

The arrangement we received "kinda" looked like the picture I saw on-line, but were jammed very tightly into a small vase. My daughter spent $20 at Costco and they were much nicer. In fact, the FTD flowers were put in the garbage a few days after mothers day, the Costco flowers are still sitting on the counter. NO MORE orders from FTD!!! Ordered flowers for Mother's Day. They confirmed order later that day. They sent me email saying flowers not in stock, so need to change flowers. So I called customer service to change flower and gave them customer number. And asked me to verify what credit card I used. Did that and they told me that was not correct. So gave them customer number again and credit card info, and they said that was incorrect. So got pissed off, hung up, and tried the same process all over again two more times. Could never get it resolved so flowers were never delivered and asked for refund. And have not gotten refund so I am going to have to dispute with credit card company to get money back. But that doesn't repair my name with person I was sending flowers to. Will never do business with another online flower company. I will call local florist next time.

We were EMBARRASSED, SAD, MAD, CONFUSED, HORRIFIED and nearly cried to see the piece of crap bouquet they had sent. It did NOT come even close to the picture of what we ordered. We ordered beauty and got basically weeds, dead blossoms and some ugly little green balls. I have ordered from FTD several times in the past without any problems. However, when I ordered two bouquets for this Mother's Day I was absolutely disappointed. First of all, my mother's order was incorrect. She received roses instead of the bouquet I picked out. If I had wanted roses I would have paid for them. I understand that roses are typically more expensive but I picked out a specific bouquet for a reason. If the bouquet I wanted was not available, I should have received a call/email/or text asking me if their "upgrade" was acceptable. I never received a word. I read the substitution message on the website but I assumed the most they would substitute was the color, not the whole arrangement. As for the other bouquet of flowers I ordered, I was and still am livid over this situation. My sister in law is a first time mother and had her baby three weeks before Mother's Day.

I thought it would be a nice surprise to have a large bouquet of flowers sent to her. I placed both orders on 4/27 and received two separate delivery confirmations for the bouquets on 5/9. The bouquets were supposed to arrive between 5/9-5/10. When I spoke to my mother on 5/15, she informed me that my sister in law's flowers never arrived. I called FTD customer service on 5/15 and spoke with **. She could not have sounded more bored and uninterested in my problem. Whether a customer calls in the morning or night, customer service representatives should do everything in their power to help. She informed me that they could not do anything until they spoke to the florist. FTD was supposed to call me on 5/16 but never did. I had to call them and I had to ask to speak to a supervisor.

I spoke with ** and was left unimpressed by his customer service skills. He kept informing me that according to my statement the flowers were not delivered. He basically kept implying I was lying about the flowers never being delivered. He also informed me that there was nothing they could do until they spoke to the florist. He did tell me that if the flowers were not delivered, he would upgrade them and send them out right away. He also offered me a $10 credit towards my next bouquet. That is an absolutely insulting offer. $10 is barely the cost of the tax on the flowers. On 5/18 I received an email from ** stating that the flowers had indeed not been delivered and they would be sent out. There was a link where I could claim my $10 towards my next purchase. I decided to try calling one last time and spoke to **, another supervisor. She was slightly more helpful than **, but not much.

She informed me that the upgrade had been placed and the flowers were on their way. I had already paid for an upgrade with the original order, and ** assured me that the new upgrade is the largest bouquet option. The photo of the bouquet I received from my sister in law was certainly not what I would call large but maybe everyone should lower their expectations when they deal with FTD. ** did offer me 25% off the cost of my sister in law's order. I told her I wanted a full refund for the order but she only offered me 35% off. When I informed ** that I wanted FTD to write a sincere apology letter to my sister in law, she just kept asking for my sister in law's phone number. I purposely did not include her number because I do not want her disturbed while she is still getting into the rhythm of being a first time mother.

I had to explain to ** THREE times that the phone number on file is my own and that if she calls it looking to apologize to my sister in law, she would only be talking to me. I finally was able to get through to her, I think. She said she would mail an apology letter to my sister in law's address. With all 5 people at FTD I spoke with, I could tell they have a script for dealing with upset customers. None of them sounded sincere in the least. I work in customer service and if I ever sounded like that to a customer, I would be fired. The customer is absolutely not always right, but in this situation it was the company's mistake. I placed an order with FTD and paid them for it. They took my money, sent a delivery confirmation, and never gave the product I paid for. FTD stole from me, and treated me like a liar when I complained about it.

Whats worse is that I found out today that my brother used FTD for Mothers Day as well and his order was never delivered. I deal with irate customers all day and most of the time it is their own fault. But when it is the company's fault, you need to do whatever you can to make the customer happy. The $180 may not seem like much, but this was not the first time I ordered from FTD. But it is definitely the last time! FTD Consumer Affairs is absolutely filled with furious customers, and I am now one of them. I will be letting everyone know that they should NEVER shop with FTD again.

It costs 6-7 times more to acquire a new customer, than it would cost to keep an existing customer happy. And on average, a dissatisfied customer tells 9-15 people. Rest assured, I will be telling everyone I can. It's bad enough that the flowers were never delivered when I received a delivery confirmation, but the fact that the FTD employees did not seem to care whatsoever about this problem, is inexcusable. Offering $10 towards my next purchase is the same as a slap in the face. Why would I take $10 towards my next purchase when I will NEVER want to shop with your company again?

I put them in water (there were no little water vials like Pro Flowers uses) and the fertilizer provided. It took over 24 hours, but the flowers finally stood upright. Unfortunately, the damage was done and the flowers began dying the next day. By Thurs, May 14th)

They were completely dead and hadn't looked good more than 2 days. I called FTD on Fri, May 15th and was told I would receive a replacement bouquet later that same day. Nothing ever showed up! Today is Monday, May 18th. After being on hold for about 10 minutes, I was told they will send another bouquet, but not until Sat, May 23rd. So... three weeks after the event I might get a bouquet and it might be a nice one. Wow, Happy Mother's day to me... NOT. I called, and was told "don't worry, the trucks are still out they will be delivered before 9pm"... That was ok. Then I got an email saying that my order had been delivered at 8pm... So I called back... They said the trucks are still out. Then it was after 9... I called back, and was told if the flowers aren't delivered today, I'll get a 35% upgrade... I was outraged, and asked to speak to the manager... She REFUSED to let me talk to her.

The next day I called to complain, and it was explained to me that the florist dropped the ball... They cancelled the order with that florist, sent the order to a new florist, and refunded me 40%. Then the flowers arrived... OMG... If I was there, I would've refused the delivery... The flowers were all wrong, and didn't even last 24 hours. They looked like something that was thrown together last minute... THERE WAS NO UPGRADE!!!! So I called back, AGAIN!!! I was assured that a refund of $69 would be credited back to my account, but that didn't happen either. They said they are SUPPOSED to refund about $30 and I'm supposed to get my Groupon points back. This whole experience has been nothing but a nightmare... This company has no idea what customer service is!!! They're all a bunch of liars. All they want to do is send me a apology bouquet and coupons to use for this company... NOT A CHANCE!!! Don't use them!!! You'll be sorry if you do.

I found out a week later by calling the recipient (my aunt) that my charge card had been charged but the flowers had never been delivered. When I called Customer service, they offered to refund me, but could provide no explanation as to why the flowers had not arrived.

When I spoke with a supervisor, she told me that there was no florist available and my arrangement was not available that day (even though when the order is placed, purchasers agree to substitutes). When I asked the Customer supervisor to confirm in email that the delivery was never made, she said she was not allowed to do that. This is the second time in only a handful of FTD flower orders that this has happened to me. I believe this is an intentionally fraudulent business practice and that they hope that recipients never communicate. I will NEVER use FTD again.

I joined this site for the sole purpose of ranting about FTD. I'm waiting for an email from them which should've arrived yesterday morning about my refund, but they promise they'll get back and not follow up. Here's the story: Well before Mother's Day I order two bouquets to be delivered, both to my parent's house, one for my mom to deliver to my grandma. They have guaranteed delivery of Saturday or Sunday on Mother's Day weekend, great! Saturday rolls around, I get a text from my mom with a picture of my grandma's flowers, and she wonders why there's none for her. Awkward. So I call FTD and they ensure my second delivery is on the way! Phew, no big deal. Then while my mom is out with friends, I get a second confirmation that they've been delivered. So, they should be there when she gets home! Nope. So I call, and am assured they'll get in touch with the florist, and get in touch with me in the morning by email. Fiiiine.

Sunday, early morning text from mom, no flowers yet. No email from them either. This sucks because they should've already been delivered, twice, right!? So I call again and am told that they'll have to get in touch with the florist and will probably get back to me Monday morning, after Mother's Day. What. The. **. I stay point black, "You realize this means I'm going to have to call another florist to send flowers, right?" And she unapologetically acknowledged that was the situation. What a ** blow, right? Next call I make is a super friendly florist down the street from my parents who happily saved the day! For a reasonable price, too! I decide FTD really screwed me over, making me have to order a second bouquet from another company, and realize I have to get my money back for forcing me to do this.

In the meantime, I get an email that another delivery has occurred, and in fact, my mom texts a picture of them. A bit later, the second bouquet arrives and my mom is very pleased having two. Regardless, I continue with my plan towards a refund. Poor customer service does not deserve my money. I call back and they kinda sorta maybe realize how they were a little bit in the wrong. What? They say the original delivery promise was Saturday or Sunday, and it was delivered on Saturday or Sunday, though neglect that between the initial promise and final delivery was a new, wild estimate of the day after Mother's Day, Monday! How can you not see this is the opposite of keeping a promise! So they offer 10% off the order. Or a coupon for my next order, like I'm going to use them again. I insist a refund is what is called for, and he obliges, says he'll arrange it and get back the next day by email.

It's now Wednesday night and I've yet to hear from them. I do want the refund, not because I need the money, but because they do not deserve it. I hope this review can persuade at least one person to not risk ruining a nice gesture towards another, by choosing to not use FTD. There are five moments I was lied to, three which were them explicitly choosing to not contact me when they said they would. It's absurd customer service and it ruined my mother's day. Lucky a local florist could step in last minute. Don't use FTD.

On May 7th I tried to order an arrangement for mother's day for my mother via FTD web site. I had a groupon for $40 worth of flowers for $20. The web site for FTD would not recognize my mother's address as a legitimate address so I had to call and speak to someone. I gave them the address and was told by ** that it "went through fine." I was given May 8th as the delivery day and what I ordered was confirmed and my groupon was utilized. I paid an additional $42.00 (the total for the arrangement was $82, so with my groupon I paid a total of $62). The arrangement I choose had a purple vase with distinct lines and the flowers were a beautiful assortment with the color purple being dominate.

The flowers were not delivered on the 8th nor did anyone from FTD or a local branch call my mother or me. The next morning on the 9th my mother was called for directions and told they would be right out. Several hours later around 2ish pm they finally showed. My mother had spent the day waiting. What was delivered was a vase that was clear in color and no lines, just a plain clear vase. I called FTD and told them of the delay in delivery and the vase. I was offered a redelivery. I didn't feel that was necessary as my mother said the flowers were beautiful. I agree to a $10 refund.

A few hours later, I received an email from FTD saying they had spoken to the girl that made the delivery and she had told them I had my parents' address wrong and that is why they were delivered late. I checked my bank account and there was no refund pending. I replied to the email telling them I most certainly didn't have the address wrong and if what she said was correct then why didn't she call on the 8th if she had gotten lost due to an incorrect address? I let them know when the first call was made and when they actually showed.

I also reminded them that the vase was not what I ordered and when I had called the day before was told that if they "run out" of what you order they can replace it whether it is the flowers or the vase. I asked what kind of sense it makes to claim to be able to replace any or all of what someone ordered with something they didn't order. Who would want to do that? Purchase $82 worth of an arrangement and hope you get what you paid for and if not oh well?!

The next day after sending that email with only a pat "thank you for your input we will get to you" kind of response, I got a text with a picture of the now wilting flowers that my sister had taken when she went to see our mother. That's right, after everything else, the only good thing, the flowers, were now wilting after only 3 days!! I sent another email and attached the picture to FTD.

I thought because they had been around for years that FTD would be an honest company that strove to provide the service their customers pay for. I was so very wrong. I shouldn't have assumed because they had been around for a long time that that meant they did good business. I should have read the reviews. They have a one star rating on google and seem pretty content with that considering the level of service I received. It's time the consumer fight back because too many companies are not even giving us what we pay for then blaming us for whatever went wrong. FTD chose to blame me instead of shutting me up with the tiny $10 refund. Ten dollars and they couldn't bust into their profit for it. They should have given me the $10 before I found out that everything I paid for was crap and not just the vase and delivery time.

I purchased two orders of flowers which were 45$ dollars on groupon, the flowers bouquets looked pretty on the picture but when they were received each bouquet was dead the flowers were dry and withered.

I ordered the flowers so that they can come on saturday instead of sunday which was mother's day and both my grandma and my aunt received dead and dry flowers and the bouquets were no more than 5 inches high. It was a miniature size fish bowl my grandma got as well as my aunt, I might as well should have given it to my nephew. They were false advertisements, I thought I was getting normal size bouquets tall with fresh flowers, I got a fish bowl with just a few flowers so I called and complained. The reps were so rude and still did not send my aunt her new flowers. I will never again send my money to this company.

On the day of the delivery, May 9th at 1:59 pm, I received an URGENT Delivery Alert with an apology and an explanation that said "Despite our best efforts, due to exceptionally high seasonal demand in your recipient's area, we regret we were unable to fill your order as requested." They wanted me to respond to deliver my order on Monday with $20 dollars off or to cancel my order and issue a full refund. I chose cancel my order.

By Monday, May 11 at 8 pm, I still did not get credit on my card. I called and was on hold for about 45 minutes. I went on the website and called a number from the complaints' website and a person answered. She took down my information and said I would get a call back within 24 hours. I called again today and was able to talk to someone and found out that I should have received an email stating I will see a credit within 3 to 5 business days. I hope this happens... I don't understand how this can be in business with the way they handled my order. I will never order from them again. I read a lot of similar complaints on the internet and should have done this first before I placed my order. I was disappointed with the whole thing.

I am very disappointed with the lack of service. I was promised delivery on 5/9. By the way Mother's Day was on 5/10. It never arrived. On 5/10 I spent my day calling FTD and they told me they are still out making deliveries and my flowers would arrive that day. The purpose of this order was to send flowers to my mother on Mother's Day. I received an email by FTD stating that the flowers were delivered on Monday 5/11. When I contacted the recipient, my mom she said no delivery was ever received. I called today Tuesday 5/12 and spoke with one of the reps and she said it is scheduled for delivery today. She wants to give me a $10.00 coupon toward a future purchase. Are you serious a future purchase?

If you couldn't get it right the first time what makes you think I would entrust such a special occasion to your company again. This is really unacceptable that I had to devote so much time and effort in tracking my delivery on Sunday and then receiving an email stating that my package had arrived. When it didn't. This whole ordeal was a big inconvenience. I also asked to speak to a manager which the rep refused to do. I'm very upset that the only other option offered to me was to cancel the order. Unbelievable how FTD continues to take orders and client's $$$ even though they know they cannot handle the volume of orders. I prefer that you're honest and only take what you can handle. I could of have gone somewhere else and saved myself the aggravation.

I ordered the yellow and white bouquet. (1st pic). Apparently the vendor in the state they were to be delivered was out of that combination, and with no notification, substituted them with a multicolored combo. (2nd pic). In actuality, the last arrangement was delivered. (3rd pic). Not quite what the picture depicts, and certainly not worth the price I agreed to pay. After about a half hour of arguing my point, the discount went from 10% to 20%. How many people has FTD substituted (what looks to me as...) lesser quality or price, for what people have been charged. If I hadn't called, I would have been just another duped customer.

Two, the florist in our area wanted to use different flowers. Crazy, I would have not picked the arrangement that I did had I known they would do this. I received an email from FTD stating that they were unable to deliver the flowers that day, and that they were rescheduling delivery for 5/12/15. My wife tried calling them to resolve the issue. The first rep she talked to (after holding for more than 30 minutes) couldn't find our order despite being provided with our order number, form of payment, delivery and payment addresses, etc. She then told my wife "not to fall apart" and that she was doing her best to help us. My wife asked to speak to a supervisor and the rep put us on hold for 20 minutes, after which we were disconnected.

We called back and the next rep was able to find our order but told us we had scheduled the order for 5/12. After some discussion the rep saw that FTD had changed the delivery date. The rep then offered us a 25% discount, which somehow amounted to $2. The rep argued with us about what we paid for the flowers, even though when we requested a refund they were able to refund the correct amount. We will never use FTD again.

It's Mothers Day 2015 and I am in Charlotte while my husband is working in NY so he orders flowers to be delivered. He receives a email confirmation that the flowers were delivered on Saturday 5/9/2015. Guess what... NO flowers. He tries to contact them and gets a automated recording due to the holiday all their florist are busy and no one is available to even talk until next week Mon or Tues... REALLY! FTD is a business and a fairly large one. THEY SHOULD HAVE A ACTIVE CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPT AVAILABLE. (I get it... they would never get off the phone with all the complaints.)

So on Mothers day around 3pm I get the flowers and am so surprised. It is a small arrangement with cheap flowers. I'm actually on the phone with my husband when they arrive, I ask him how much did he pay, he said around $70. I tell him this arrangement is really small and cheap and he stated he even upgraded. To tell you how small... My son's 5x7 card is almost as tall as the arrangement. Some of the flowers are curled because half the water is gone. I understand that part of this cost is for delivery charges and fees, but really.

I am the type of person that believes that it's the thought that counts, until a company like FTD cannot make sure their florists represent them correctly and give the customer what they ordered. Flowers are a luxury that many only do for special occasions to make someone feel special. If FTD CANNOT make sure they are delivering a high standard of quality, they need to overhaul all their florist and take a proactive approach to bettering... quality and customer service. I can't believe all the negative feedback and this is not the first time this has happened. But evidently my husband is one for giving people a second chance. Not anymore.

This order I received was very disappointing. First off; my husband stepped on the delivery box on accident because it was right where someone would step down from our front door. He almost fell. Secondly, the picture I saw for my flowers I purchased was much more flowers than I received and yes, I even spent extra for a larger bouquet. My mom wasn't home -- she lives with me. I felt compelled to open the box and thankfully I did because one of the few roses that came to us was brown. It was one of the lavender roses.

I will never, ever order from them again. I feel very cheated with the amount of flowers I received and the quality as well. I will also tell all my family and friends that they would be better off getting the flowers on their own because it will be cheaper and the flowers would look better. Worst Mother's Day gift I've ever given to my mom. I was tempted to go get a store bought boutique to make up to for this horrible experience. That's ridiculous because my order was $80.00 in total including delivery charges.

So at 11:01 am I call back, and am told that the flowers can't be delivered "because of time constraints" (how much more time do you need - 3 days is not enough?!).

Do not send me an email confirmation and take my money if you cannot guarantee delivery. WTF kind of shady business is this?! When I called back, all of 9 minutes after they called me, they said "We went ahead and cancelled your order and refunded you because we couldn't reach you." I have no words. Why would you wait until the wake had started to let me know you couldn't deliver my flowers, making it impossible for me to fix the issue? AWFUL. I was so upset and felt terribly that I didn't send flowers. FTD.com, you are terrible. Obviously from all the complaints on this site, I am not the only one in this position but wish I would have read this reviews first. :(

Order was completed...too expensive...but because my son was in an accident last week and in the hospital in California I wanted to send flowers...paid more but they certainly took the 90$ out of the account but never delivered, never communicated there was an issue. Claimed they didn't know there was an issue even though I had emailed and called. Poor, poor customer service. 3 days later the rep just offered to deliver with a 20% discount....are they kidding? Honestly, insulting! Will NOT use them again and would encourage others to call one of the many other flower companies when ordering.

Ordered an expensive floral display for a dear friend who had just lost her father. The order was processed and delivered --by UPS-- from New Jersey to the recipient in Pennsylvania --in a cardboard box, unassembled-- with no gift card but instead a typewritten sentiment on the invoice (despite having given a personalized greeting when ordering). Is it just my perception or are local florists now exempt from creating and delivering meaningful floral arrangements on behalf of big floral companies for the public? I found nothing on the FTD website alluding to the fact that they are cutting corners and sending floral "arrangements" that aren't even arrangements. I really thought I could trust this company. Complaint submitted. My friend, meanwhile, was tasked with figuring out who sent the flowers (spent 4 hours calling people during her bereavement), and assembling the floral arrangement herself. Never, ever again. Extremely disappointed.

It began with an order for Valentine's Day my husband had made, he is currently training and unable to be here himself. Well, the order never came. They did sent out an email stating that due to all the orders, they were unable to deliver them but would like to offer a $20 refund and a $20 coupon and that the flowers would be delivered the next business day. So the following week came and once again there was no delivery made. So there are the first two failed orders. Then, being kind enough to write off such a disappointment because it had been a Valentine's Day delivery, my husband and I decided to give them another chance. He ordered an arrangement for our daughter's birthday, making sure to place the order 2 weeks out. Well her birthday came and went with no flowers. She is 6 so it is bad enough he couldn't be here, let alone expecting a gift from her dad that never shows.

So I decide to put in a claim for failed delivery to which I received a reply that they were unable to secure a florist and our order had been refunded. My first complaint about this was the fact that they never even attempted to tell us that the order couldn't be, and in fact had sent out a confirmation email. But there was nothing I could do so I waited 10 days for this refund to show up, but like everything else their company does, it never did. So once again I email wanting to know where the refund was since I was told it had been processed, only to receive a reply that in fact it never had been processed and it would be another 5 days before it could be. Truly I am at my wit's end here with this company and have no idea how they are still in business. I will never be recommending them to anyone nor will I ever try using them again myself. If there was anyway to submit this with 0 stars I certainly would do so.

I ordered an arrangement of Beauty and Grace Bouquet by Vera Wang specifically due to the gorgeous peach, red and pale yellow colors of the flowers as they are my friend's favorite colors. I spent hours looking over the website before finally deciding upon this arrangement. This was supposed to be special for her 50th birthday. The arrangement is described as, "sunlit sophistication, this bouquet of fuchsia tulips, peach roses, pale yellow stock and hot pink spray roses are presented in a modern clear glass vase to delight your special recipient with its eye-catching demeanor."

What my friend received, was fuchsia tulips, YELLOW roses, WHITE stock and hot pink spray roses which was not even close to the colors in the pictured arrangement. The vase was tiny and certainly not what is pictured but it was the flowers I was most upset with. I read the substitution policy that says, "The COLORS shown online will be used if at all possible, even if this means substituting other kinds of flowers of equal or greater value." This was not done. In addition, my friend told me the flowers were delivered late on a Friday and had already begun to wither by Monday.

I sent an e-mail complaint via the FTD website on the same day the flowers were delivered. After not receiving any response, I called the following Friday and was told that I was outside the 7 day guarantee window and was offered a 15% discount. I finally got manager to understand that when an e-mail complaint is sent the same day as the delivery and a call is made within 7 days of delivery that the complaint IS WITHIN the 7 day window for guarantee. Promises of rectifying the issue that day were made but there was no follow through. The $125.87 I paid would have bought a ton of grocery store flowers and at least I would have received what I had paid for.

I wanted to buy flowers for my sister and have them delivered to her job. I viewed the website and found an arrangement of flowers that I loved. I ordered the Touch of Spring (exquisite bouquet) flower arrangement on Tuesday, March 10th for delivery on Friday, March 13th. I paid for my order and waited for the delivery on Friday. Around 12:30pm when the arrangement hadn’t arrived, I called customer service to find out if they had a guesstimate on when the order would be delivered. To my surprise, they had sent my order to a florist that wasn’t even open anymore!

No one called to let me know of this error. The rep stated they would send my order to another florist and that all would be fine. I called back at 3pm and this rep advised that the order continued to be rejected out of the system and again no one called me to let me know of the system issues they were having. Our job closes at 4:30pm and I wanted her to have the flowers on her birthday delivered to the job. This rep guaranteed me that the order would be delivered by 4:00pm. At 4:17pm I called once again and now they stated that they can only guarantee that orders are delivered by 5pm, to businesses. Keep in mind that they messed up my order and this should have been a priority at this point!!!

I’m beyond upset and just want my money back at this point. 4:40pm comes, the business is closed and a van pulls up. A manager took the flowers and ran outside looking for my sister and gave her the flowers. The flowers we received were NOT what I ordered. In fact, they weren’t even close. Apparently, I had paid $103 for shrubs. My order should have contained peach colored roses, pink Asiatic Lilies, peach gilly flowers, red Peruvian Lilies and orange spray roses. Instead we received 5 dead yellow roses, some purple hydrangeas and a vase full of green bush. The only thing they got correct was the vase.

I was livid. Not only did you send my order late, it wasn’t even what I ordered. There was no way I’m paying for this order. I got on the phone immediately, and the rep stated the driver needed to pick the flowers back up before they were able to refund my money. Today, I was told the money would be refunded to my account, although I don’t see it yet. I will NEVER order flowers from FTD again or recommend anyone to buy flowers from them. They’re robots on the phone and all they do is apologize. I don’t need apologies. I need my order to be as ordered and delivered on time. Below is what I ordered and what we actually received. Never again.

The customer service rep stated that he was unable to contact the florist but would inquire first thing in the morning and let me know why the flowers were not delivered. That night about 9 PM, I received an email from FTD stating that the flowers were delivered to the school, which was closed. Around lunch time, I still had not heard back from FTD and my wife told me that no flowers yet.

I once again called FTD to inquire as to the status of my late order. The customer service rep once again placed me on hold while she contacted the florist. When she came back on the line, she told me there was a problem between FTD and the florist and for the problem the flowers would be upgraded. I asked her why I had received an email last night stating the flowers were ordered, in which she said she had no idea why the email was generated. She also informed me that the flowers would be delivered today to the school before school was out.

When my wife was on the way home, I asked her if the flowers were delivered, which they had not. I called FTD customer service once again to voice my displeasure. I was once again placed on hold which she contacted the florist. This time she came back and told me that the florist said the flowers were delivered yesterday and that there was nothing she could do. I told her to cancel the order and refund the amount to my credit card, in which she told me should could not refund the money because the florist stated the flowers were delivered. I asked who signed for the flowers and for some unknown reason, she could not pull that information up in the system. I told her I wanted to speak to her supervisor. I finally (I think) received a refund. FTD customer service does not care nor are they helpful. Stay away from FTD. I will never use them again.

My husband ordered me flowers for my birthday. They arrived on the correct day but 2 of the hydrangeas were looking in real bad shape. The card and envelope looked like it was written by a first grader. There was no florist info on the card or envelope (That should have made me think!). The next morning they were all dead. My husband called FTD and they said they would redeliver them the next day to my work. I brought the dead flowers back to work with me and guess what...NO DELIVERY!!

My husband called again that evening and got the runaround from the rep. When asked why they didn't get redelivered she said the "florist" was looking into what happened with the original delivery. After my husband demanding a full refund the customer service rep said that they would redeliver the next day (Sat) and he told her that I wouldn't be in work and now it was 3 days after the original delivery and he wanted a refund. She said that she would have a local florist near our home come and pick up the dead flowers and then he would get a credit.

Guess what...they never showed to pick up the dead hydrangeas but in the meantime my husband disputed the charge on his credit card to be sure that we would get the refund. My husband asked the name of the original florist that delivered the flowers and she wouldn't tell him nor would she say which local florist were to come and pick up the dead flowers. My guess is that they don't use "real" florists with any kind of reputation. If I owned a floral business I would not want my name associated with FTD.

The customer service representative didn't know what they were taking about. So now I call on Tuesday supposed to be the day of delivery and speak to 3 more customer services reps and they all said it was going to be delivered that day. So, she didn't help me at all. I was promised $10 off the order from the first phone call on Saturday and that was NEVER given to me. So they lied to me. And so now it's Tuesday night and the flowers were NEVER delivered... So now at 9:00 last night I had to call again. This time I got a lady who told me she would get them delivered Wednesday and would give me 20% off the bill and send me a $15.00 off coupon for my inconvenience which was again never emailed to me... So now it's Wednesday and the flower were finally delivered. And the only way I know this is I finally got my first email from them.

So I called to check the billed amount and now was told the flowers were almost $67.00!!! What they started out at $40.00. The woman again place me on hold forever and came back to the phone and tried to explain. It was unsuccessfully again. I asked to speak to a manager and she won't transfer me... And ask for the bill to be emailed to me so I can review it because I didn't understand Her. Yet again and she hung up on me!!! Neither FTD nor the florist offered to refund my $21 delivery fee. They didn't offer anything but a very late delivery to a 68 yr old woman that sat around all day waiting for something to show up. They had both of our phone numbers so there is no excuse.

I ordered a bouquet for my mother in Spokane, WA who was recovering from cancer surgery. I spent hours looking through pictures FTD had online for a brightly colored arrangement with cheerful and contrasting colors and long lasting flowers. I needed a bouquet that my mother would be able to see since she is nearly blind. As soon as they were delivered to the hospital, my sister sent me a picture of the flowers. What a mess! The flowers were sparse and colors were completely different than shown in the photo. Several stems were broken. The colors were dark and blah. The arrangement did not even remotely resemble what I had ordered and paid for.

A grocery store arrangement would have been more professionally arranged. I sent countless emails and made several phone calls to FTD and to the florist (Peters and Sons Florist) directly. The florist blamed FTD for giving them little money to work with and they thought my mother's bouquet was adequate. I finally went to PayPal and filed a complaint. They withheld releasing the funds to FTD until the issue was resolved. Thanks to PayPal, I finally got a refund. FTD was not at all helpful or apologetic for the substandard arrangement my mother received. The florist was rude and defensive and should be embarrassed by the product they delivered. I would not recommend FTD to anyone.

By February 14th, no flowers, so I call in the morning, and they tell me that there are notes in their system that they had a "problem" with finding florists to fulfill the order and they were unable to do so. They did not notify me, I had to call them. After creating quite the fuss, they agreed to upgrading my flowers, and even though I was very unhappy about it, I understand that it's Valentine's day and there's only so much they can do, so they told me it would be delivered definitely by Tuesday since Monday was President's Day and Sunday they don't deliver. Of course, it's the end of day Tuesday, and no delivery, so I call again, and they tell me it would either be today or tomorrow. I was beyond furious at this point, so I demanded a refund, so like everyone else's similar experiences, we'll see how that goes.

Much to my surprise my mother called to say that she had been sitting at home all day waiting on her delivery. I was very upset to say the least. You see my father is a truck driver and I just recently moved across the country 2200 miles away and it's always been my job to ensure that my mother got her flowers and goodies from my father. This is the first Valentine's Day my mother didn't receive anything.

A little email stating that they were unable to deliver the flowers due to high-volumes and seasonal problems. I do not accept their excuses. They ruined what was supposed to be a special day for my mother. We will never be using this company ever again. They can take their $20 they Credited to my card for this undelivered arrangement and the $20 they gave me towards my next arrangement and learn how to treat their customers.

After a time of futile effort on my part to make myself understood, I asked for a supervisor a number of times and finally was put through to a person who I was able to understand. She said she would take care of it and cancel the order but that didn't happen. The company would not respond to any of my email messages in my attempt to take care of the situation. Then at the end of all this they offered to give me a credit for $50.00 off of my next order. The question remains; why would I order anything from such a company? Original Review: Feb. 15, 2015

I ordered my mother the lush RED rose bouquet for valentines day, original price $59.99, but received a corporate discount thru my company, with delivery and tax $70. They showed up and were the most miniature vase of 8 MULTI-colored flowers, possibly carnations, maybe two roses, and not in the best condition by any means. I did NOT order the smallest size either, so aside from the flowers not being what I ordered at all, they came in the smallest form possible. I would have been fine if they substituted the flowers and were proportionate to the size, and color, but not even close. I have tried to rectify this with ftd.com and the flower shop who sent them, but have heard nothing yet. I have used 1-800-Flowers always, and realize now I made a mistake trying something new. Terribly sad...my mom deserves better. They should be ashamed.

I ordered flowers to be delivered to my mother/sister/niece for Valentine's Day. I had the delivery date set for 2/13 to make sure it was there by Valentine's Day. I received a notice that the item had "shipped" from FTD.com. When I didn't hear from my family on the 13th, I checked the tracking with UPS and it said a label had been created on 2/12. I checked again on Valentine's Day and the status had not changed on the UPS site, so I called them.

I found out that they had not even received the delivery from FTD.com. I called FTD.com to see what the problem was with the delivery. The lady was very rude. She required that I give her every piece of information you could imagine to "look up" my order. Apparently my full name, address, and order number was not enough.

Anyway she said that she would have to check to see if "the item was in stock" and see if they could have it there by the 17th. Would that be okay? NO, that is not okay! I wanted to surprise my 76 yr old mother with flowers on Valentine's Day not 3 days later. She then said that she would give me a $10 off towards my next order and have them delivered on the 17th. Would that be okay? NO!!

I had to tell her at least 3 times that I wanted to cancel the order and get my money back. She said that she would "personally assure me" that this would not happen on any future orders. Ummmm that's another false promise. She has no control over the orders, heck- she couldn't even tell me why the order I was calling about didn't make it by the promised (and paid for) time/date.

She got angry with me for not accepting her offer for a late delivery (if they had the "item in stock") and then was very quick to say "I am cancelling your order". I am hoping my money will be refunded, but feel that may be an uphill battle. I will NEVER use this company again. I wish I had put some time into reading the reviews before I ordered from them. The saddest part is now, the element of a surprise of Valentine's Day flowers to family in another state is ruined. Thanks FTD.com.

I'm writing this review for my husband. We regret not seeing the reviews people had online before ordering. This company has ONE lady for customer service who changes her name every time we call asking to speak to a supervisor. The order I placed for a special vase with roses was not what was delivered. Instead it looked like something put together by the 2 teenage boys who delivered them to my house. Never recommend ordering from this site.

When I spoke to the customer service rep she said the first time her name was Patrina Jewel. The second time I called again her name was Anna yet every attempt to speak with her supervisor she says he's on the other line with other customers. So we tried calling while one of us was on the phone, there's not another person there to take my call while she was on the other line with my husband.

They don't have a normal customer service where there's a group of people on the phone with other customers. My husband was put on hold for 10 minutes, that's when she answered my call. When she answered, this time her name changed again. What a wasted $144 spent. I hated to see my husband so disappointed the way he looked today.

FTD Flowers sucks. I ordered a bouquet at 3 am Friday morning. At around 8:30 they called me to tell me that arrangement was no longer available, that I could choose another one. I chose another one, they confirmed it was available (and when I'm saying available, I mean for same day delivery). They called me back an hour later and said that was was not available either. Each time they would call me, they would put me on hold "while they called a florist" to see if it was in fact available or not. Why didn't they do this before calling me. First 2 phone calls lasted 32 and 46 minutes. I chose a third arrangement that I was told was available. I was called back because it was not available. This time I told the person, "how bout you tell me what you do have available and I'll choose one."

After choosing 6 that were not available, she found one, called the florist who confirmed it was available; this phone call lasted 1:08:02. Ask me if I wasn't pissed. 30 minutes later, they called to say it was not available. I completely lost my ** and went the hell off. I usually don't do this, but lately I'm just cursed with bad luck (between my phone and these flowers). I understand that it's Valentines Day, the busiest day for flowers. BUT shouldn't the florist have had a lot more flowers considering? (BTW I wasn't even ordering Valentine flowers, it was for my boss, a funeral wreath or Ficus tree would have made me happy at this point).

IF NONE OF THESE ARRANGEMENTS ARE AVAILABLE WHY ARE THEY STILL ON THE WEBSITE ALLOWING YOU TO ORDER THEM SHOWING "SAME DAY DELIVERY AVAILABLE". They told me that it was because it was valentine's day and that their call centers deal with over 40,000 florist, that there was no way to keep up. Well I work for IHG and we have 4,600 hotels with 671,000 rooms, YET our call centers and websites know when we are sold out. Sometimes the systems are out of balance, but it is our job to make sure that we stay on top of it so that they are balanced. Especially during busy times. Take for example a hotel in New Orleans during Mardi Gras. No room left, are we going to keep taking reservations over the phone and online, then call the people to cancel? BTW, each time an arrangement wasn't available, I had to cancel and reorder, they couldn't just change the order.

He assured me that she would have it and I paid the extra shipping cost to make sure that she would have it. The total came out to $80, but nothing is too much for my daughter, it's a tradition I have done since she was little, but I had never used FTD.

Well I go to lunch and I come back and call her just to see if she would say anything about getting flowers, and to my surprise at 1:00 pm, NOTHING HAD CAME... I proceeding to calling FTD, and I was informed that the product that I order was sold out. Now why the hell wasn't I told this at 8:00 am, I don't know. So now she is apologizing and telling me she was going to give me a 15% discount on my next purchase, well hell no because I will not be ordering from your company again. She then told me she had a florist that would assure me the arrangement but bigger by today 2/13/2015. I didn't trust that at this time so I asked to be placed on hold while she contacted the florist to make sure. Not surprised at all when she came back to the phone and said she could not find a florist to delivery today.

I was furious, so I demanded my money back and waited on the phone while she processed my refund in the system. The flowers sat outside approximately 5 seconds before I brought them inside. It was obvious they had frozen somewhere, some point in transit. I phoned customer service and got a man who spoke minimal English, it became apparent after 15 minutes of back and forth and being put on hold for 5 minutes, that he didn't have a clue as to what I was talking about, his English was that bad. He said flowers would be delivered again the following day. I repeatedly asked him was he certain, 100% certain? Oh yes. He told me he's send a confirmation email, at that point I knew he didn't have a clue, he didn't even have my email address! He just couldn't grasp that I was the recipient.

I insisted on speaking with a supervisor, on hold for another 5 minutes, get a woman who speaks only marginally better saying she was an "assistant supervisor". When you ask their names, they hesitate and then make up a name. She also assured me replacement flowers would come the next day. Nothing came. I also emailed the company on their website customer service page, no reply at all. Had to tell the sender about the flowers, she felt awful, phoned customer service and this time was told replacements would be sent two days later. She was able to get a tracking number. The flowers aren't local, they are shipped to Kentucky from California, and then to their destination, so you are taking a HUGE chance with them. Never, ever, would I order from them or suggest them to anyone. They should be investigated.

The delivery was handled by FedEX and everyone knows that delivery companies are extremely careful with packages, NOT!

In the picture you will notice the lack of buds, the lack of filling the gigantic "free" vase and the lack of the flowers that I paid for. I don't know about you, but I see a considerable difference between the website photo and the "junk" my wife received. I have ordered from FTD more times than I can count over the years, but the last two have been disastrous. I thought after last year, I would give them one last try because, as I said, I have ordered from them numerous times. I will no longer be a customer of theirs and neither should you. Save yourself some time, headache and lost money. Go to other floral company that will give you what you pay for and what the recipient deserves. By the way, there is a ceiling light shining onto the flowers and I used a flash for the camera too.

This year, I was able to afford a nice flower arrangement for my wife for Valentines day. I picked out a premium bouquet called The FTD Casual Elegance Bouquet. It arrived on the day I specified, but when my wife sent me the picture and said it was nice, I about lost it. She also asked if it was what I ordered. I told her no and sent a picture of what it was supposed to look like. She said it was totally different.

I was upset for the fact I hadn't been able to afford this in the past and now they got it wrong. I didn't stop there. I called to complain and got a foreign person on the phone. No issue with that because I've dealt with heavier accents than this person. The problem was she couldn't understand me and I had to constantly repeat myself. After she supposedly called the local florist, she said they could give me 20 percent and a 10 dollar coupon. I said "You can't have them picked up and refund me the $94.99 I spent on just the flowers?" She said no.

Then why does it say a replacement or refund for 7 days on their website. After 20 min on the phone, I hung up and called my wife. She called FTD and talked to a foreign person. They tried the same 20 percent and 10 dollar coupon crap with her and she let them have it. In the end, they said the florist would come pick up the flowers and that I would get a full refund. We'll see. Never again!

She will never see them until she gets back in town the following week.

I ordered flowers 5 days before the delivery date. And 6 days after the delivery date, I am still waiting for the flowers to be delivered. The initial delay was due to bad weather. However, the customer service has been abysmal! I made countless calls to the 1-800 number to be told they had no idea what to tell me. I then began complaining on the online chat.

And I received automated responses, "Please accept our sincere apologies with regard to your recent FTD.COM purchase. We understand how important this gift is to both you and your recipient, and we are truly sorry it did not meet your expectations. We always strive to provide the very finest quality and service, so please let us assure you that all your future orders will be filled with the special attention and care that they deserve." I have yet to get a satisfactory answer. I want a full refund. The flowers will be dead by the time they arrive! Not to mention the occasion being celebrated has passed!

I ordered a $55 arrangement for my husband that was an upgrade, however, a smaller and not upgraded arrangement arrived. I called FTD to ask why the smaller arrangement and the gentleman offered me 10% discount. I asked for the correct arrangement to be delivered and they could have the small one back but he declined. He is refunding $5 when I paid $10 hmmmm... I asked for a supervisor.

I was on hold for 33 minutes and then disconnected. I called back and after a shorter wait I was connected with a supervisor, Kim **. I sent her pictures of their advertised flowers and picture of the delivered flowers and she agreed the arrangement was "sparse" and wrote that she would refund some of my money but keep the groupon and the FTD discount I had used. Shortly thereafter a delivery man went to my husband's work and asked for the flowers and vase back! My husband did not know I was trying to correct his arrangement, it appeared they were taking the flowers back.

I wrote to Kim ** and ask if she sent the delivery driver. That was hours ago and still no response. A woman who was very hard to understand called my phone and said she was sorry they did not call me first before picking up flowers and said she would give me 15% discount. So now I am still paying $10 more and receiving $8 in refund. Interesting math at FTD. I wonder how many people do not even know their flowers are not upgraded and if they complain take the 10%, which is very profitable to return less than you are paid. I again wrote to Kim ** and asked if she send the delivery pickup and asked what was going on but still no response. I will be interested to see if I receive any refund.

The bottom line, I paid UPGRADED price and they delivered INFERIOR product. Now I am worried about the two previous orders I had sent in the last two weeks. I do not trust FTD nor their upgrades; false advertising scam if you ask my opinion. After my first order they offered a $10 discount on next order but when I placed the next order they would only give me $5. If FTD only wants to give $5 that's fine but that is what they should write; not that they are giving $10 off. I wish I would have seen these reviews before I placed those three orders. I always thought FTD had a good reputation but in my opinion FTD is clearly playing fast and loose with their advertising, switching to a lesser product and their poor customer service.

Here is the real story about FTD. They have beautiful pictures at fantastic prices. All their pictures are one sided meaning that in reality if you got an arrangement from FTD it would be flat on the back. However since they aren't a real florist and rely upon a real shop to fill orders then it works like this. You pay $60.00 for an arrangement plus a $18.00 service fee (real florists don't charge service fees). Add tax and you're paying $80+. They then send the order to a florist in the delivery area and only give them $43.80. Plus they charge the florist an FTD fee for accepting the order of $1.75 and there is no delivery fee which costs a florist $10.00. So your $80.00 purchase will never look like what you ordered because FTD doesn't pay the florist the whole amount, and charges them for taking orders. FTD, 800-Flowers, Teleflora and any other "online florists" work the same way. Call a local florist

I've had two instances in Dec. 2014 right before Christmas and today Feb. 9, 2015 where floral arrangements I selected to send to my mother in a nursing home on Cape Cod, MA were unable to be delivered. This time I ordered on Feb. 8th feeling assured a florist could fill the advertised bouquet with this lead in time. No such luck as I just received the second email saying they were sorry local florist couldn't fill the order.

Burned twice and it's the last time I will do business with them. They promise what they cannot deliver. If they don't have enough florists on Cape Cod, they should announce this upfront so that the consumer can find another vendor. If they really only have a very few florists working with them now, let's not deceive the consumer. I had never had a problem with them until these last two orders. Their website manages to not give you an email address where you can complain about a non-delivery… How convenient for them! 1-800 Flowers has a scant selection but they came through for me in December after FTD failed. Thanks for listening.

I ordered flowers and upgraded to the "best" quality and what I got was even worse than the "good". The flower arrangement was small and looked like a $10 grocery store bunch. Dealing with customer service to resolve this issue was a complete headache. I couldn't understand a word the woman was saying and was put on hold for a solid 30 min. In the end the option I was given was for the florist to pick-up and redeliver the flowers which is fine, but they should have done it right the first time instead of assuming I would never see the embarrassing arrangement they delivered. I will never order through FTD again.
