Leading up to Mother's Day, there was an offer of 15 tulips for $29.99. While going through the checkout process, the price increased to $36.99. At final checkout, with delivery + other charges $57.99. 9 people in my office ordered the offer because the photo was truly beautiful. 4 out of 9 bouquets were extremely disappointing. 2 were just okay. One bouquet was sent back because of its rough condition. For $57.99 I can get a reliably impressive arrangement from a local flower shop and I suggest that you do the same.

Over 10 calls, Mother's Day's flower horrible, not as posted. FTD still hasn't delivered a replacement. Mother's Day was Sunday... not delivered as promised... still waiting... and if you want to reach Customer Services it should like overseas... cannot understand. I would avoid FTD if you can just do something locally. I will never use FTD again.

I had awful experience with FTD. They are absolute scam and their customer service is ridiculous. I purchased flowers and they offered add-ons with the purchase and I paid additional $20 for a box of chocolate (no specific brand, just said chocolate) to be delivered for the mother's day. They delivered the flowers (not the freshest flowers) without the chocolate. I don't know how many people actually ask the recipient about how many gifts exactly they received but I happened to ask my mom and realized they had only delivered the flowers! So I called customer service and was very disappointed and the person on the phone, after holding me on the call to contact their florist, promised the chocolate to be delivered next day (which was May 14 and the actual mother's day). I spoke with my mom on Monday May 15th (day after Mother's Day) and realized there was no chocolate and no communications from FTD!

So I called again and the person in customer service kept apologizing. I asked for their supervisor or the actual florist's contact information and the customer service person kept apologizing and not letting me speak with a supervisor nor provided the florist contact info. She kept promising that the chocolate will be delivered tomorrow but when I asked her to send confirmation email indicating the chocolate will be delivered tomorrow, she said she had to hear back from their florist before sending the email confirmation! So I don't know what kind of promise that was?

I decided to stay on the call for as long as it took and finally after close to 2 hours I got connected to a supervisor who offered me a $31 credit back to my card. But honestly, how many people will realize that their add-ons were not delivered? How many people get to ask the recipient if they have received all the items? How many people have the time to call customer service and stay on the call for long time? This is absolute scam and theft to get people pay for something and not deliver it. I like to know how many people have had this experience? Why is this company still in business?

I am not one to write reviews, but am so motivated by my sheer anger & frustration with this company that I am. Long story short, I order flowers for Mother's Day to be delivered on 5/13/17. The delivery driver left them by her mailbox (She lives off a main road, so essentially they were left on the side of the road), and they were stolen. When I called to inform and report the driver, I was told that I would be refunded & the flowers would be re-delivered to my mother's door on 5/16, and they would call my mom and give her an apology. They never arrived, she never got a call.

I called to get an ETA, and was told that they weren't re-delivered because I was refunded... What?? That is not what was promised. I asked for the call to be escalated, spoke to a supervisor who only said "I'm confirming with you that we will not be delivering", and then said she would transfer me to a manager. Was on hold for 31 minutes before finally hanging up and began to write this review. ALSO! Their call center is definitely outsourced overseas as it is very hard to understand anything that is being said. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!! UNTRUSTWORTHY!!

Daughter ordered me flowers for Mother's Day. Came 2 days late (She was guaranteed they would be there before Mother's day). They finally came smashed with the mug they were in broken. Whoever packed them just set them in the box, no packing, nothing to hold them in place. They have given my daughter her money back, but no apology, and no flowers for me.

I wanted to express how deeply disappointed I am with the service I received. In the past, for online orders, I have tried 1800flowers.com and proflowers.com, none of which is worth even trying again. I expected better from FTD.com given the history of the company. This order for my daughter was to be from her 5 year old son for mother's day... Something to have on her desk at work for at least a few minutes. This order was sent to a BANK... Being a business, and a bank, you would think that an effort would be made to deliver it earlier in the day rather than later. The business closes at 5:00, she left at 5:05 with NO flowers being delivered.

I promptly call and requested a refund which was granted. I ALSO asked to speak to someone in the United States as those in the Philippines are VERY HARD TO UNDERSTAND... I was not done complaining and wanted someone other than a script reading operator that might care a little. At that time I was told I could not be transferred to a customer service person in the States because they were not answering. I was told I would receive a call back, AND I NEVER RECEIVED ONE! Now, with no flowers for my daughter, I had to find another florist that could deliver her some flowers to her house on Saturday the 13th. Do you know how hard that was? Most were already booked for Saturday. Finally, Saturday morning, I found one, but the flower selection was not great because most of their flowers were well picked through.

Just like 1800flowers.com and proflowers.com, this experience with FTD.com was a disaster. I'll probably never visit their website again. Fast forward to Monday morning (after Mother's Day): They delivered the flowers to her at work, with dead roses and lilies missing petals. Wow... They were in a hot car Friday afternoon... When they couldn't be delivered, they went back to the florist for the weekend (Were they placed in a cooler during that time?)... Then back into a hot car for Monday delivery. At no time did they even refresh the flowers. It's a good thing I got a refund.

I live out of state and in so decided to take a chance ordering Mother's Day flowers from a company that has been in business for a very long time. Well I have learned that many US business today survive on the reputation of years ago. This does NOT mean they care about quality or service hence by disinterest in purchasing even an American car! Well FTD is NOT different. As soon as your hard earned money is exchanged their automated system confirms your order then reaches out to the cheapest local florist in the area you want a delivery in and hands off the responsibility or lack thereof of arranging and delivery the flowers to your loved one.

So I ordered a nice arrangement to be send to my mother in S. Florida. The day I received a confirmation the flowers were delivered I usually will get a call from her with a thank and so on. NO call. Nothing so I call her only to find out the flower arrangement was withered! Yes folks FTD's cronies could have cared less about the quality and freshness of the arrange and on Mother's Day!! I called and complained only to get a foreigner reading a script telling me they would redeliver a fresh arrangement then 10 minutes later a different Filipino calls and tells me they cannot do this! I mean talk about adding heat to the flame.

I was finally refunded my money and will NEVER recommend FTD to anyone. Companies like this one should be held to higher standards and or put out of business!! A lot of companies in the US are only here to serve their wealthy investors by hiring the cheapest labor with ZERO concern for the end users. It's sad and pathetic and YOU deserve more for your money!!!

I want to warn all consumers that think about using FTD.com. STOP DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I order flowers for my 80-year old mother for Mother's Day. I placed the order a week in advance and asked to have them delivered Friday before Mother's Day. The flowers I picked were called "The Sweet Surprises". They consist of Roses, Carnations, and Daisies. They are not exotic flowers. I never received a call nor email indicating they could not deliver the flowers. Friday evening I checked the order and it showed was not delivered.

I called their customer service (which they had a difficult time understanding English). I was first told they could not deliver that day that they would delivery on Saturday. I asked them to send me a confirmation email indicating delivery was changed. I also asked to refund some of my shipping charge considering they did not deliver on the day I indicated. They said they could not do this and that they would send me a coupon for my next order. Asked to speak to a supervisor they kept telling me the supervisor was engaged in another call. They were going to email me the confirmation as soon as we hung up. I waited 10 minutes no email. Called back, the second person stated they can't deliver until Tuesday (after Mother's Day). I told them, "No I requested Friday" which was today.

They kept telling me they could not deliver today not until Tuesday. Asked to speak to a supervisor again was told they are engaged in another call and could not speak to me. I told them I wanted them delivered no later than tomorrow (Saturday), they said they would and would send an email confirming. I then told them if I do not receive an email within 10 minutes I would call back. I waited. No confirmation email. Called back. Spoke to a third person and asked again. Had to go through the entire situation. They said those flowers were not available until Tuesday so they could not deliver, but they can change the flowers and make a different arrangement. I told them "no". I already knew what that meant they would put some cheap looking arrangement together and would not be close to what I ordered. I asked why they did not contact me early enough so I can cancel my order and go elsewhere. They told me ok we will cancel your order.

I told them that is not what I said. I want to know why you did not contact me and I had to contact you to find out my order will not be delivered on the day I requested and will not be the flowers I ordered. And supposedly if I want to wait until after Mother's Day it would not be a guarantee that they would even have the flowers I ordered. The flowers consisted of Pink Roses, Pink and Red Carnations and White Daisies. I asked to speak to a supervisor and again was told they are engaged in another call. I left my phone number for the supervisor and was told they would call back after that stopped engaging in a phone call.

I had spent 2-1/2 hours back and forth on the phone Friday evening. I hung up and called back Saturday morning hoping I would get a person that understood English. I called 5 separate times, they kept placing me on hold for over 15 minutes and not coming back on the line. I asked several times for the supervisor to call. Left my number multiple times. The last time I told them I want to cancel the order completely, they said, "OK". I asked for a confirmation email. They said, "OK".

I never received an email, I called back and asked if the order was cancelled. They said, "Yes." I asked when I can expect the money back in my account. They told me I placed the order they cannot refund the money. I only received an email indicating the order was cancelled and nothing that I will receive a refund. I am now going through my bank to have them go after FTD for the refund. I will never order through FTD, and if I ever order any flowers again I will check reviews before considering placing orders.

I ordered flowers for my mother-in-law for Mother's Day. What she received didn't resemble the upgraded "BEST" version by any stretch of the imagination... not even the basic version. I think FTD.com relies on the fact that most people who send flowers don't actually see what was delivered, and the recipient of course would never complain. I called to complain and they offered a $25 coupon for next order. I never received it. I will NEVER BUY FLOWERS from FTD.com again.

I ordered bouquets to be delivered for Mother's Day to my grandmother. I ordered them to be delivered on the Saturday before and paid a hefty premium for this service. As I tracked the package, I became very disappointed to learn that the package did not arrive on Saturday. This left my grandmother without receiving her present for Mother's Day. When I called FTD, I had a horrible time trying to get a customer service person on the line that I could understand. I am hard of hearing and have a very difficult time understanding accents, especially on the phone. I explained this and all that happened was that the customer service person repeated what I said back. This kept happening.

Apparently this is their customer service model, repeat for confirmation. It becomes extremely frustrating to have someone repeat back to you that you can't understand them and then they continue to talk. This happens with a number of different reps. Since the reps wouldn't transfer me to someone who spoke English I got disconnected a number of times before I lost my mind and they finally put me on with someone who speaks English. This person was of very little help as well. She assured me she was a manager, but she kept repeating herself and talking in circles. I explained to her that I work hard for my money. Paying a premium for a Saturday delivery is a very expensive decision. I could have paid 1/2 the price for it to be delivered on Monday, but I didn't. She said, it has already been delivered.

When I explained that they needed to refund my money for delivery she said, "we will upgrade the bouquet." I said "how, you just told me it was delivered?!" And then this manager just kept talking in circles until I explained to said manager that I wanted to be refunded or I would calling my credit card to stop payment. I should. It have had to go through this. It was my Mother's Day as well and it was ruined because of FTD.

DO NOT ORDER FROM FTD.com!!! Let's begin with the fact that FTD charges a large service fee, when you can just order the same flowers through a local florist in your town, which is what FTD does. They send their orders to local florists that deliver. When you order through the local florist there is no $20 service fee. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORST I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH!!! My flowers were not delivered and I called FTD 6 times. Each time it was some office in Asia not in the U.S, which would be fine if they were helpful at all, but they were not. I was told multiple times they could not get a hold of the local flower shop, so I kept calling to see if they could at a later time but not once.

Then with some searching I found the local flower shop they sent the order to and they had not received any calls or messages from FTD. It is all a lie and scam. Luckily the local flower shop is delivering the flowers today, but with no help from FTD. I had to do all the work myself. I also spoke with someone on their online chat, but was literally told they could do nothing and then when I said I was frustrated, the representative ignored me and quit the chat. THE WORST ONLINE FLOWER COMPANY. Save your time and money and order from somewhere else.

I ordered flowers for my mother on a Friday to be delivered next day. The first choice was not available in her area and it requested me to choose from a list. I chose flowers and checked out verifying they would be delivered. I received an email the day of delivery that those flowers could not be delivered in that area. I contacted FTD. The person advised it was because of a price increase. I read the email again advising it says I need to choose different flowers. He assured me it was the price. I asked how much extra I was supposed to pay. He assured me nothing they would take care of it and they would be delivered that day.

The flowers were not delivered. I called back in they don't deliver Sundays. I called again Monday 2 days after date of delivery. The person told me they could not be delivered until the next day. Now 3 days after date of delivery and 2 days after Mother's day. I asked for a manager. The manager told me those flowers were not available at all and I needed to choose different flowers. ISN'T THAT WHAT I TOLD THE GUY SATURDAY??? AND SUNDAY??? AND MONDAY??! Now instead of a beautiful bouquet they asked me to send 20 yellow tulips because now AFTER Mother's day that's all the florists have!!! With a 20% discount of $10.95... My shipping alone was $23.99 and my flowers were never delivered. Will never purchase from here again. I will go back to ProFlowers.

On Sunday morning I sent another inquiry and then called when that was not responded to. The phone representative could not find my order with my order number. She could not proceed without my name and address, my credit card number, the recipient name and phone number. It is ridiculous that this much info was required. The order number should have been all that was needed.

When I asked to speak with a supervisor I was put on hold for several minutes and then was advised the supervisor was busy handling other complaints (Shocking with this level of service). When she finally found my info there was no apology or explanation. She just asked if I wanted her to resend the order. Heck no it was already 3 days late and their customer service is horrific. On top of that they charge a $40+ service fee. Find a local florist. This company has no concern for delivering on time and doesn't care about their customers.

I ordered flowers, balloons and a card for my wife on the occasion of Mother's Day. The delivery date was 5/13/17 - 5/14/17. I was okay if the flowers show up earlier than Sunday but even at noon on the Mother's Day it didn't show up. Flowers are not kitchen towels that the date and time of delivery don't matter. A delivery window is needed for occasion based flower delivery. FTD failed to meet any of that. They don't have any status of delivery which I don't know whether it is their technical limitation or oversight.

I called them up at noon and finally had to cancel the order since the flowers showing up in the evening means nothing to the recipient and it loses its significance altogether. Please do not use FTD.com if possible especially if you are celebrating any special occasions. I will never use them. They did say they refunded my money but I am not sure until I see the refund on my card (which they say could take 3-5 business days to show up). It is so disappointing to have your recipient send you a picture of what they received and it is completely different from what you carefully picked out. It's very time consuming picking the best arrangement so to know I just basically wasted my time sucked. I ordered again for my boyfriend's mother in advance for mother's day 2017 and again they EMAILED me on mother's day that the arrangement was not available. Good thing I read my email. So anyways, I call and they say there are no substitutions available, so basically I was SOL. Whelp time was running out so instead of arguing, I just told them to issue a refund. I am very disappointed with the service I received. I purchased Mother's Day flowers to be delivered on Friday, May 12, 2017. It was supposed to be a surprise. When I arrived home I saw a tag on the door stating that they missed us (although my wife and daughter were at home) and that we needed to give a call to a phone number. I must have called the phone number provided and the phone number I found on the local shop's phone number, both (maybe 10 times were) giving me busy or service not available signal. No email possibility nor any way to message. In what age are we living in? I called FTD and was disconnected on both calls, one call after I gave all my information and second time without anyone on the phone.

Anyway I decided to go to the store to pick it up. (Surprise is ruined by the time.) While I drove to downtown and parked, my wife called and let me know the flower was delivered. Angry, I returned home and saw the flower. This was not what I paid for? They charged a higher rate yet delivered the quality of the cheapest version. This is a ripoff. Please look elsewhere.

I usually don't write reviews like this but buyers, please beware of FTD! I ordered my mom and nana flowers for Mother's Day on there. My mom's bouquet was delivered fine and made by a local florist. The roses I ordered for my nana were coming straight from FTD and getting shipped to her house. I ordered them on Monday to be delivered by Friday, which I thought was plenty of time.

Well, I wake up Friday and see that they were only shipped that day. I'm not feeling optimistic and lo and behold, FTD starts calling me. I pick up and a CSR tells me they can't deliver these flowers today, and is it okay if they deliver them next week. I immediately say, "No, they're for Mother's Day." The sickeningly sweet CSR tells me that they absolutely cannot get these roses to her by the weekend. (Have they ever heard of overnight shipping?) But after I get frustrated, she puts me on hold to see if a local florist can make a bouquet for a Saturday delivery, which I think is a fair compromise.

After telling me time and time again that she's having computer problems, she asks if she can call me back in 15 minutes. I agree and she calls me back, telling me a local florist can do a similar, new bouquet that has roses and other flowers. I agree again, not really sure what else to do to ensure that my nana will be receiving some flowers. She also specifies MULTIPLE times that I will not be charged any additional money for this bouquet. Multiple times. I ask for an email confirmation of this (that never arrives, mind you) and we hang up.

After coming home from work, I decide to check my statement balance and wouldn't you know there's a new $45 FTD charge on my account for this new order. By this point, I'm LIVID and have been outright lied to by this company. I immediately call their Customer Service number and talk to a woman who could barely understand me and vice-versa. She's very sweet, and I apologize for getting frustrated with her, but after I explain the situation, she tells me they can't offer me a refund for this "new order." WHAT? I explain over and over that it's not my fault FTD couldn't get my original order delivered on time, and why would they charge me for their error?

She offers me a $25 gift card and by that point, I'm so livid so I decide to cancel the whole order. And then she wasn't going to cancel and refund my original money for the original order too!!! Absolutely unreal. I'm waiting to see if the refund actually happens. I received refund emails, but my bank statement says otherwise. Cannot believe they can get away with being so scummy. And ironically enough, this happened right after I paid for a year membership, which I plan to not ever use again. Good riddance, FTD.

Ordered online, 20 stems of 2 different types of purple orchids in a special 'Vera Wang' vase for Mother's Day to be delivered early on Friday. They got the delivery date correct but that's all they got right. Paid over $100 but what was delivered were 8 stems (6 purple, 2 white) in a plain glass vase. Not worth even half of what I paid. I was completely shocked to see the photo my mom sent me. If FTD can't even fulfill the Vera Wang vase, why advertise the arrangement as a 'Vera Wang'?Total scam. I called FTD and got a person in the Philippines who had a bad headset so that combined with a horrible accent made it an extremely unpleasant experience and the issue was not resolved. I was assured however, by the representative that they would correct the problem and even get the correct vase delivered. They said I would receive an email to confirm when the delivery would occur. I got nothing. No email, no vase, nothing.

I ended up calling the local florist who delivered the original puny 8 stems and they claimed FTD told them my order was 10 stems and that they told FTD they didn't have the vase. I don't know who was lying, I'm guessing both. My sister ordered through FTD not too long ago and had the same local florist fill the order with the same result - the ugliest, smallest tulips you ever saw. Again not even worth half of what she paid.

In both of our cases, the local florist did pull through in the end- bigger, better, more tulips for my sister's order and the missing 12 orchid stems and nicer vase (still not Vera Wang though) for my order. I think everyone is just out to make money and will try to deliver a subpar product worth less than half the price paid so they make a huge profit. It's only when you catch them (and you need to ask the recipient what they received), and confront the florist who filled the order, then you'll get almost what you paid for. Don't bother calling FTD. What a waste of my time and money. Photos show what I ordered vs what was delivered.

Ordered a beautiful lavender spa gift basket for my overworked mom for Mother's Day. She loves lavender, I searched forever and found the perfect one. It was scheduled to be delivered today, but when she sent me a text photo of the gift it was some jenky I <3 Mom mug and something called a Stroopwafel or something. SO weird and not even close to what I ordered. I called customer service, expecting them to want to fix this right away. They informed me they were out of the item I ordered (conflicting accounts of whether it was ever actually available in the first place), and I could pick something to replace it... but they had nothing close to what I wanted. They kept pushing flowers, flowers, this lavender arrangement is the same thing! Um, flowers that die in a week aren't the same as a gift basket.

After 1 1/2 hours on the phone, me close to tears, after they tried to sell me on little spa products worth half as much to "replace" the basket and every flower arrangement under the sun, assuring me they "knew" my mom would like it just as much, I finally agreed to an arrangement of roses and a small spa gift. They refused to replace it with TWO items, so I could either get the tiny spa gift or a flower arrangement I DIDN'T WANT. Then they tried to CHARGE me for the difference in price for the flowers vs the basket I had chosen.

24 hours to go till Mother's Day, we scoured the site looking for ANYTHING she might like for that price, and came up empty. They refused to budge at ALL, to try to make up for their mistake, kept blowing off my questions about what happened, kept going silent for long periods of time, forcing me to yell "Hello??" over and over. I finally asked, "Is this seriously worth making this experience SO bad that you lose a repeat customer?" And the woman on the phone said that was fine. Now I'm in tears upset over missing out on a perfect gift for my amazing mother, sending her some whatever last minute crap instead, and furious. WHY? How does this help their business?? ProFlowers from here on out, and gift basket sites. Seriously. Too much competition for this crap.

Next I realized after painfully speaking to her and trying to explain that I'm speaking to a non-native English speaker and very likely in another COUNTRY! Especially since my second call was the same.

I placed 2 orders with them for Mother's Day. One for my mother and another for my mother-in-law. Both received starkly different arrangements than what was advertised or what they appeared to be on the site. My mother's arrangement had a cheap vase and the arrangement was something that would've cost 30$ anywhere else and they charged over $100 for this. My mom just complained at how pitiful the flowers were.

My mother-in-law's arrangement was a gardenia plant w/ a teddy and chocolates. The chocolates were not included with the order and there was only ONE flower on the plant, when the photo shows several flowers on the plant. How SAD FTD has become. I made sure to indicate how dissatisfied I was with their service in my survey. I need to remind myself to never order from FTD again and delete my account with them.

I did this twice, in hopes that two different states, many occasions apart, that results would've been different. I hope to help you save your money or find a different company to send flowers through. They advertise 3 or 4 different grades of bouquets, for increasingly higher prices. Last year, I sent flowers to my adult daughter for her birthday. I gave her up for adoption when she was born and I wanted to make a nice impression with a large bouquet. She lives in Arizona. She was grateful and sent me a picture and it was the cheapest bouquet with lots of the green filler not flowers. I called and complained and was given a refund of part of the purchase. They wanted to go pick them up and give the right bouquet to her.

Second chance my husband sent me the big bouquet (most expensive). I live in Colorado. They sent the cheapest looking small bouquet. They are a rip off. Save your money and buy from ANYWHERE else, even King Soopers has better flowers. For what I paid them for their junk, I could have bought all the flowers at the supermarket. Follow up to original review - I contacted FTD regarding my order. I have improved my rating as a company representative did reach out to me, and in an effort to resolve my complaint refunded the arrangement for my cousin that was nothing like what I ordered, and sent two replacement arrangements as a good faith gesture given the circumstances surrounding why I ordered the flowers in the first place. I will say that FTD did respond to my direct complaints with them quickly and professionally, and refunded/replaced what I was not happy with without any additional cost to me. However, I am only giving three stars because while I am very satisfied with their customer service, the replacement arrangements were still as skimpy as the first order and of low quality. If FTD wants to retain business I believe they should investigate what happened with both of their suppliers and drop suppliers who fail to provide the same quality product as what they picture on their website. The flowers received, including the replacements, were just not the same quality of product that I paid for. I have used FTD several time before without complaint in other parts of the country, so it has to be these particular suppliers. I sent pictures of what I ordered along with pictures of what was sent to the Customer Service Representative, so I hope that some kind of action was taken with regards to the florist and farm that they use to service that area. I am not sure if I would order again given how important it was to me to have this order, out of all the orders I have ever placed with them, be correct.

    Original Review: April 6, 2017

A family member was having surgery on a Thursday. On the Sunday prior, I placed an order for two arrangements to be sent to the same address for Wednesday, one for her and one for her parents. The two arrangements I picked out were primarily pink because of the nature of her illness. On Monday, I received a call from FTD telling me that their florist could not fulfill the arrangement meant for her parents. I was told that I would have to pick something else, and that they would cancel the original arrangement and I would have to re-order my next choice.

I explained why I needed them sent at the same time and in a particular color scheme, and I asked if I could place an order through FTD for the replacement and then have the florist's info so that I could call them myself and make sure they could fulfill the order. I was told no, they are not allowed to give that information to me. I received an email indicating that the cancellation had been made and that a refund would be issued. I placed another order at FTD.com, which I believe was fulfilled by a different florist - "fresh from the farm", I believe the description said. I upgraded to a $49.99 arrangement to get the vase. Both arrangements were delivered today to a residence near Uniontown, PA. I have a picture of them.

Arrangement for the family member having surgery looks nothing like what I ordered. I understand that substitutions are allowed; this looks NOTHING like what I ordered. The one that I ordered was all different shades of pink. It was called "Sweet Surprises" - bright and vivid and young looking like the person it was sent to. What she got was almost entirely white, not the same ribbon, not the same vase, not the same flowers. I don't even think there were roses in it at all, from the picture I received. It looked like what I would have grabbed on the fly out of a hospital gift shop for my grandmother. Not even close. And this is the one the florist said that they COULD fulfill.

Second arrangement is done sort of with the same flowers that were pictured. "Dreamland Pink". It is nothing like the picture of the $49.99 arrangement, and in fact looks like someone took the $39.99 arrangement and cut it in half. In short, it sucks. Judging by the picture that I received, I could have picked something similar up at the local grocery store for about $15, and driven the four hours to PA and delivered it myself for less than what I paid for the one they got. Shame on you, FTD. That is called "bait and switch". Buyer beware, what is delivered could very easily not look anything close to what you ordered and most likely won't look anything like what you paid for. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

This order was placed through FTD and delivered on 3/2/17 by a local florist. The bouquet that was delivered did NOT look like the one I paid for. Red carnations, pale roses and lavender flower did not look like the brightly colored bouquet I obviously overpaid for. And to top it all off, the BIRTHDAY bouquet was delivered with a GET WELL SOON balloon. I paid for a Happy Birthday balloon (it is a birthday bouquet) and the kicker...this was delivered to my mother in law, who unfortunately is sick. Yes, that's right. Someone delivered a GET WELL SOON bouquet to a woman with cancer on her birthday. How nice, right?

I immediately contacted FTD for a partial refund and redelivery of correct flowers and balloon. I then contacted the local store. 5 ATTEMPTS and no one answered. I decided that if you all don't answer your phones for customers, how will I know you got the message to redeliver? So I contacted FTD again to demand full refund and just forget about the redelivery. I was put on hold for almost 20 minutes and transferred around while waiting to speak with a supervisor. I finally called FTD again from my other phone line while I was still on hold. I was then told I could not get a refund unless the local florist picked the flowers back up from her or they could reach them for negotiation. Well, no surprise...they couldn't manage to get through either. I refuse to allow to allow them to take flowers that have already been delivered. I was offered delivery of the "correct balloon" so I guess I'll take what I can get.

There are no words for how upset, disappointed and angry I am. This is completely unacceptable. I have filed numerous complaints with FTD for their horrible customer service and suggested they rethink their contract with a florist that does not answer phones, fill correct flower orders or deliver appropriate balloons. Today was someone's birthday. Someone I love. Someone that has CANCER. And she got the wrong bouquet, with the wrong balloon. And I'm out $80 for a less than stellar gift.

My daughter's 30 birthday - had flowers delivered to her work (paid over 100.00). Attaching picture of what I thought I had ordered and photo my daughter sent me when she received them. I was so disappointed. Not wanting to spoil her day as she was grateful for anything she would get - I discretely called FTD customer service. They contacted their florist who replied that they sent exactly what was in the picture. They would not replace, but would pick them up and give me a refund. I immediately stated that "I do not want them picked up (it's her birthday), can we send her roses instead?" Thinking, how bad can you screw roses up? Well, as I was talking to the FTD agent my daughter was trying to call in.

After getting off the phone with FTD, I returned my daughter's call. As I was talking to the FTD agent the florist had returned to my daughter's work, made a big scene stating, "Your mother does not like the flowers, so we are picking them up". This happened in front of all her coworkers, on her birthday! So upsetting and embarrassing on her special day. I thought with FTD they had a guarantee you would get what is pictured. I paid extra for THE BEST to be sure it was nice. Had to make a shout out as I would hate others to experience the same fate. Unfortunately, we don't normally go to ConsumerAffairs until after a disappointment. Will not be using FTD again. Best to research on ** first, then go directly to the florist with great reviews. Then post your satisfaction. FTD will not disclose the florist they used so these partnered florists hide under the radar. BUYER BEWARE!!!

They offered us another bouquet of flowers free of charge - of course, they would likely use the flowers that were supposed to be used on our original order!!! Terrible service and wrong order. I ordered hydrangea with gerbera daisies, they sent 3 roses with 2 lilies and baby breath! The arrangement was $85. What they sent was worth $20 of that. And the vase was plastic. When I selected the one online it was glass with a gold strip in the middle. Well I have called and was on hold for over 2 hours and spoke to 2 different individuals with major language barrier. I WOULD NEVER ORDER from these people ever again, your best bet, contact a local florist! Save yourself the headache! Either way what they do is hire a local florist but upcharge you. So it's basically cheaper just to order locally.

This arrangement looked as if a 3rd grader was in charge. I spent $78.80 for a B.S. Arrangement. I made several CALLS everyday to FTD expressing my concerns. To this date my daughter in law have yet to receive the correct order. When individuals spend their hard earned dollars for service that's what they should receive. No excuse.

I took a picture and sent it to my husband to tell him thank you for the flowers. When he got home that night he was livid! The flowers that were delivered to me were NOTHING like what he ordered. The bouquet he purchased to be sent to me was beautiful and HUGE and packed with flowers mostly roses and lilies. Comparing the arrangement I got to what he ordered I could then see why he was so upset. I had 3 roses and 2 lilies in my arrangement. (Not even 1/4 the size of what he purchased.)

He called customer service that night explaining that the flowers I received were not what he ordered and asked for the correct flowers be re-delivered. The guy at customer service (Who barely spoke English) agreed to redeliver the next day. The next day came and went and no flowers were delivered. My husband called AGAIN that night demanding a refund. They instead offered a coupon for next time. (There will never be a next time) We called back 3 more times that night trying to get a refund. Each time being held on extremely LONG holds. It was a terrible experience and we will do everything that we can to make sure EVERYONE knows not to use these hacks! My husband's romantic gesture turned into a royal pain in the ass by FTD. I don't have the order number because my husband purchased them not me.

I called FTD Customer Service at 7:30 PM on the day of scheduled delivery to inquire about the order status. The agent could barely speak English - thus it took numerous repetitions to try to understand her, only adding to my frustration. She assured me that the order would be delivered on the following day - the 14th. I asked to speak to her Supervisor to register my complaint about the delivery and the difficulty understanding the agent's English. Only after an additional delay of several minutes attempting to convince her to transfer me did she reluctantly do so.

After an eight+ minute wait, the Supervisor came on the line - her English was no better. Where is FTD Customer Service located? Have they outsourced to Malaysia, or elsewhere in the Far East? She also assured me that the order would be delivered on the 14th. Today, I called FTD Customer Service once again since the order had not yet been delivered, and was assured that the delivery would be made tomorrow - the 16th. I then cancelled the order, and requested a full refund. NEVER again will I EVER entrust a flower order to the incompetent FTD organization. I would advise all others to do the same. The delivery fee was 21.00 as well. This was my first time using them and probably won't do it again. I would recommend calling local florists, tell them your budget and get what you pay for. Plus a lot of them only charge a 7.00 delivery fee.

My husband had some flowers to be delivered to me at work between 9-5 on Valentine's Day. They called at 5:20 ruining his surprise, saying they were running behind. I said it was okay and they were going to be delivered to my house. They didn't come until 8pm, and the bouquet was 1/4 of the size he ordered!!! It had 16 roses in it 8 big ones and 8 tiny ones and that was it!!! It looked nothing like the $100 order he made! And they forgot the balloon that was supposed to be with it! Called customer service and all they could do was a $20 discount for the next time and a refund on the balloon. Are you kidding me?!?! There will not be a next time!!! WORST PLACE EVER!!! I asked if they deliver the flowers the next day are they going to be free because of FTD not doing what they said they were going to do! Colleen said absolutely not! I told her cancel the order and refund my money which was over 100.00, she said it would take over a week! Again I asked to speak to her Supervisor and she said not possible! I asked her to send me an email once they follow through with refund! FTD has no compassion for their mistake, not willing to accommodate me with a free delivery! Called FTD 11 times only to continuously get the runaround and hear how they couldn't connect me to supervisor. The language barrier with the reps is also overwhelming given they hardly speak English. I was also told a supervisor would call me back and that never happen either. Almost $500 wasted and two disappointed recipients who think I didn't care. Sad. FTD used to be a name you could trust. Clearly not anymore. I would never recommend them to anyone. 1 800 Flowers from here on out. Truly disappointed with very poor service and communication.

They NEVER SHOWED. I wish that was the worst part... It then became a NIGHTMARE trying to obtain a refund or any explanation why. Call after call... we were bombarded with employees who either didn't speak English or weren't trained properly. At one point I had to beg the employee to speak with a manager... 15 minutes of ring around the rosy just to speak to a manager? I was just outdone...

My husband orders probably around 700 dollars worth of flowers for me each year... It saddened me to know that FTD 1800 flowers would be so unprofessional. He spent hours on the phone with them while they gave him the runaround, hung up, lied, and was just plain rude. I never in my life had such a hard time with a company. If I were you I would just support your local florist. Today has been the worst Valentine's Day of my life. My husband was embarrassed and it was an experience I will carry the rest of my life. I will still anticipate a refund but I truly had higher expectations of this company.

EDIT: THE FLOWERS ARE ALMOST ALL DEAD, AND NOT AT ALL WHAT WAS DISPLAYED ON THE WEBSITE. I placed an order with FTD 2 weeks before Valentine's Day, as I wanted my wife to have some beautiful flowers as a gift. About five minutes after the initial order, I realized I needed to send the flowers to her work, not to the apartment, as nobody would be home - most importantly, her. So, I immediately changed the address for shipment. I got an email a few minutes later stating that they were processing my request, and that I would get an email upon completion. Well, I never did. I figured, that if I wasn't hearing anything from them, well, maybe it'll work out okay. Nope!

Today is Valentine's Day, and my wife is at work without her flowers and jewelry. However, I came home early, and the shipment was sitting outside the apartment building. I guess I should be thankful for having neighbors that don't steal packages! Especially, when you can clearly tell what is in the box. +1 for my neighbors.

Needless to say, they charged my credit card immediately, but trying to get someone to change the address for delivery was apparently too much to ask for. My wife was texting me frequently throughout the day, worried that she missed the delivery or that someone accidentally told them that she wasn't in. Guess I can tell her not to worry anymore - they're sitting at home. I guess I'm pleased they at least sent me the flowers and gifts, even if it wasn't at all where they should have been. I am disappointed that they didn't ever contact me back, confirm the address change, or even send a simple email saying that they were delivered SOMEWHERE. Zero communication, no follow-through, and a bad experience when it should have been exciting and pleasant.

I actually decided to open the box while I was writing this review. OH BOY. They're almost ALL dead, and there's literally 2 roses in the "bouquet" (calling it that is really pushing it), with scraggly wilted flowers mixed in. Over $100 for something I could have pulled from the dumpster behind a flower shop. I am fuming. Now, on top of spending all this money for a nice gift, it gets sent to the wrong address, ALL DEAD OR DYING, and I have to run out before she gets home to buy her another round of flowers. I will absolutely never order from here again.

The bouquet that I ordered arrived, with 7 flowers, a far cry from the picture online, when I sent an email to the FTD customer service, 15 min later the florist called the recipient and stated they were going to pick them up. Thinking that they would deliver a corrected arrangement, no, the delivery person that came to pick up the arrangement made the comment "you get what you pay for."

Well when you pay over 95.00 for an arrangement, and the person gets only 7 flowers, I would consider that a short fall. So I then contacted CS to see why no other arrangement was delivered and was told "rest assured" it will be delivered tomorrow by noon since they could not reach the florist and had no answer as to why the bad arrangement was picked up and no new one delivered. Customer service is of NO help, and I would NOT recommend ordering from this site. Stay local, order from a direct florist in the area you are wanting them to be delivered to.

FTD Florists has become a pitiful excuse for a company!!! Unfortunately, I neglected to check reviews before placing my order, largely because of the long-standing good reputation I THOUGHT this brand still had. Because I was unable to travel to the memorial service of a relative, I ordered a "Soldier's Salute" standing spray on the morning before the service, to ensure I was represented at the service. Then, I called on FTD on the day of the service to confirm the spray I ordered had been delivered. After the FTD rep "checked with the florist" (the name of which FTD refused to divulge), I was told the spray was out for delivery and would arrive by 2P, even though I had insisted it be delivered by 1P when I placed the order. At the end of the memorial service, I received a text message from someone at the service, who informed me that my Soldier's Salute spray was NOT among those at the service. I absolutely was LIVID.

NEVER, EVER, EVER USE FTD to place an order, unless your goal is to be devastated or to play games. While I received 2 wordy apologies (along with the OFFER to provide a full refund), I also was offered a $25 OFF coupon to make another purchase - HA! NOTHING can undo the damage of what basically constitutes my failure to APPEAR at a time of loss. I will N-E-V-E-R use FTD again, and I purposefully may avoid using ANY florist that advertises as an FTD affiliate. FTD's highly CONSISTENT FAILURES (as demonstrated in these reviews) in delivering a service upon which customers - at extremely difficult and important times - totally are relying is intolerable, unacceptable, despicable, and neither should be rewarded with new nor repeat business!

So, lo and behold, on 12/24/26 what shows up - my original flower order! I guess I should add that my delivery was made by FedEx. I see by the reviews that they are guilty of poor or non-delivery by several other customers. But I digress.

I again called FTD to try to get an explanation of why the flowers were NOT delivered on the date they were supposed to be delivered and got the standard "rote" responses that the FTD representatives are trained to give. No explanation, just a "we are sorry". Boy, that solved everything! The rep felt that since the flowers were delivered, albeit a day late, that they had fulfilled their duty. I explained to the rep that if these were my wedding flowers that I would have had no flowers for my wedding day. Went way over her head! All I wanted was an explanation of how something so important when it comes to a delivery could happen.

How can something that is ordered a month ahead of time, paid for, and pretty much guaranteed to be delivered when expected go so wrong? Well, I received absolutely NO explanation and NO satisfaction for my unhappiness and poor, or lack thereof, service. Just like most other customers, I guess we all know the outcome of this event - no more FTD for me!

I decided to sign up for FTD during the holiday season because my Hilton HHonors account was giving me a deal for earning 3000 points per purchase and I had 3 birthdays in the family within 1 month period but in a different state between December-January and an anniversary. Without knowing much about the company and their business model, I signed up for FTD's gold membership and requested a delivery for 24th December for my aunt's Christmas birthday, which was also extra $10 in shipping fees. So in one day, I placed four orders. Guess what, 2/4 should have been delivered but the 1st one arrived one day later than the birthday, even though it was before the Christmas holidays. And it is now 27th and the extra shipping fee 24th delivery still hasn't arrived! Since I did not get any emails, I called them today to ask what is going on.

They told me the local florist could not process the order! Really? And the only way I found out was BY CALLING YOU GUYS FROM MY END? They said they processed the order now over the phone and it will arrive on the 29th. What's the point of me placing an order for someone's special day if it's going to arrive SIX DAYS LATE? Why pay extra shipping for 24th delivery if it will arrive close to New Year, and that too, upon me inquiring on the status? So you want me to spend $50-60 on something so that it arrives a week late? I am also disappointed that Hilton would vouch for such a company. I will call them and file a complaint for misleading their loyalty members.

The three birthdays are in the same family and it makes me look REALLY BAD WHEN ALL OF THEM RECEIVE THEIR BIRTHDAY ITEMS LATE! Oh, and within the last few days, I launched multiple order status inquiries on their site, but did not receive a voicemail, phone call or an email about any of those inquiries. So it seems like you can't get through to them unless you call them, which makes them 100% unreliable during holiday season, when some stores might be closed.

I had received a $25 gift certificate for FTD. I figured that would pay for about half a nice bunch of flowers to have delivered to the house while I was at work for my wife. Then I see the delivery fees and service fees and they're as much as the coupon (not even next day delivery). Then I see on their website they have the Gold Membership subscription and I figure my gift certificate could cover that and I would have a year to have flowers delivered to other people as a nice surprise.

FTD considers the Gold Membership a promotional offer. As soon as I signed up for it and tried to purchase flowers for my wife it wasn't allowed as I cannot combine offers. So this translates to if you get a Gold Membership it is your only "coupon, gift certificate, promotion" that you can use even though it's a paid subscription.

Luckily after minor conversations with Customer Service the flower order as well as the Gold Membership were successfully cancelled. A paid membership is a promotional offer? Seriously? Will never use FTD and it's a shame because they and their florist partners would have made a heck of a lot more than the $25 credit from the gift certificate they would have "lost." Instead they've lost a lot more than $25.

Beware when you are purchasing FTD flowers for two reasons. The company can add on a $20+ service charge for online orders without letting you know they are doing that until you've reached the end of the online transaction. Further, the overseas customer service is difficult to understand (English as a second language), provide only scripted responses, and will place you on hold indefinitely when you've asked to speak to one of their supervisors for resolution. Shame on FTD as a long-standing company for reaching this low level of customer service.

FTD through FedEx. Delivered in one day, to my doorstep in Central Washington, when it was 12 degrees, flowers froze inside. Ugly bunch, I had to cut and arrange myself, 5 roses, 9 carnations, 1 sprig of holly, 1 of evergreen, and a pine cone on a wire. Looked online for pictures, one that was similar with same vase had lots of greenery fill. Gift card omitted, packet of preservative omitted. I had to search to find out who had sent this, they were very disappointed. Don't order if it is FedEx, call the local florist, they won't deliver in the freezing cold and they will have arranged it. I will never recommend FTD to anyone. I emailed about problem, 6 days later no response, only two advertisements to buy more! Finally found out who sent them, they will call to complain, and I will today also.

I just want to express my wholehearted disappointment with FTD, your supposed commitment of trust, and your poor excuse for a customer service department. Ordered an arrangement online on Wednesday December 14th for delivery to the Funeral Home on Friday December 17th for my dear brother-in-law's wake. The flowers never arrived and when I attempted to inquire as to what happened on Saturday morning just prior to the funeral and burial, I was treated to 25 minutes of horrible Muzak before someone finally picked up the phone.

The girl I finally spoke with seemed to have no record of my order as she asked over and over for the order number, my name, the late recipient's name, the Funeral home, etc. I had received email confirmation on Wednesday morning that the order had been received and was being processed. She finally told me that she had to call the local florist who FTD had contracted with, but said that they would not be open for another three hours. This made no sense, as that would have had them opening after 12 noon. I checked the three local florists that FTD uses and they all opened at 8 or 9 o'clock.

She assured me that she (FTD) would call me back that afternoon. No call ever came. After the Funeral I again called FTD's customer support line (855-329-5806) and once again waited and waited for someone to pick up. The line went dead a number of times and I had to call back again and again. Finally gave up on that number and tried your 800 number. Only then was I able to speak with someone who finally found my order and told me that it had not been fulfilled. The email apologizing for the non-delivery should have been sent well before the expected delivery date, not after the Funeral. I could have found another source of flowers for the wake if I had been told. Which, by the way, I will be doing for all of my future flower needs. An apology for "inconvenience" is hardly sufficient in this case.

Well my product was switched, and it was not even in the right basket I wanted. It was more money than I ordered, the fruit was all laying down instead of nicely arranged, and it was not worth $70 for it. Even though they threw in 4 pieces of candy, I could not get a hold of customer service, and when I sent them a email it was not even responded to. But when I sent a letter to the president I did not have to say anything, she automatically gave me my money back. But I did not get the product that I wanted, she said they have the right to switch things at the last minute. That is fine but give the customer an option of what they want to do, either get it or not, because I did not want that one. When purchasing things online you have to be very careful. Make a copy of everything - names and the amounts, and times so you have a record of it for yourself in case something goes wrong. Like this case did. I won because I did.

Now, I called the customer service and the poor workers keep saying "I'm sorry ma'am", but they are not sorry because its not their issue. I am sorry because I missed an important day to send a colorful arrangement to say I am thinking of you. Now, after two calls I still don't have refund from FTD, and they keep saying "we're trying to contact the flower shop". Its like an insult, because I trusted them to send flowers and cant even get a quick, respectful money that belongs to me. VERY disappointed with FTD. I called FTD.com customer service to find out what happened and received the typical response of "We don't know but we'll find out" and "Will call you back." Well, two hours later, at nearly 6pm, I receive an email confirmation of delivery. I asked my wife, since the surprise was gone by now, to call her work and find out if the delivery was actually made. You can guess what the answer was, NO.

So I called FTD customer service again and get the same person. Again, she tells me how sorry she is. At this point, sorry doesn't cut it. Keep your apologies for all the buttercups. I asked if they would be delivered the next day, before noon, since I know my wife will be getting off early. She assures me they will. Well, here it is 1pm and guess what just showed up. My review is based on specific experiences in the past year+ in contrast to the previous 2-decades. Flowers that arrived were woefully smaller and different than what was pictured in the order image (This happened more than once but repeatedly for the past 3 years). Refused to deliver flowers to Falmouth MA funeral home on two separate occasions (Dec. 2015 and July 2016) in spite of my having an FTD "GOLD MEMBERSHIP" for which I paid a premium.

Customer service is offshored which is bad enough but they do not understand what you say and just keep repeating scripts back to you such as "I understand you are upset" or "That is terrible" and endless "I'm sorry that happened to you" but the end result is a coupon for your next purchase rather than fixing the current situation. If you are lucky, they take 15% off which is not off your total price but for the base price before taxes and delivery which equates to $22 on a $167 order. USELESS... AND you have to spend as I did today... 56.5-minutes on hold to get a Manager to even get that far. I demanded to have a US based FTD manager call me.... see next two points.

FTD renewed the "gold membership" on their own without my permission. NO, it was not set up to rebill and I had already been told that would not happen in a prior call to complain related to my father's and brother's funeral arrangements that never happened. I FINALLY get a call from a US based Customer Service Specialist but not the manager I requested. Nancy ** in the Northeast at **... and she was just as drippingly sarcastic and unhelpful. This time... it wasn't second language issues, it is just lack of integrity and lack of customer service skills.

The nicest things I can say about her: She is RUDE, patronizing, condescending and dismissive. She literally hung up on me when I wouldn't let her rephrase the problem statement to only being about the "Gold Membership" renewal. She didn't want to address the larger issue of NON-delivery, poor customer service and hour+ waits to get to anyone that can do anything. Now we have a name and inbox, feel free to call and let her know your horrible experience directly.

My mother's arrangement had very little color and very few flowers! They should be ashamed of themselves falsely leading people to believe they are purchasing what is shown. Oh they state on their site that they might have to substitute some flowers but geez my arrangement looked like every flower plus the basket was a substitute!!

Also I almost forgot the arrangement was packed or should I say shoved into the box so that what looked like the two of the only big colorless flowers were laying in the bottom of the box. I wish I could just return the pathetic-looking flowers and just get a refund. I will never order from FTD Florist again nor will I refer FTD Florist to anyone that is considering their service.

My husband was sending me roses for my 60th birthday, which I was happy about, and he really wanted to do something nice. He usually gets me grocery store flowers, but this time, he wanted to do something SPECIAL and have flowers SENT to me. But, what came in the FTD box DIDN'T make me happy. First, the flowers were very poor quality, and were very wilted. He ordered the multicolored roses bouquet with a vase. The pink roses were brown, the other roses were small, with very crooked stems and had disease on all the stems, and all the buds and leaves were wilted or dead, as well as the thorns still being ON the rose stems.

I grow a garden, so I know what plant diseases look like. Plus, the vase was so small and so short, that either the flowers had to be cut down to little shorties, or I needed to use another vase. I chose to use one of my own vases so the roses could still have some length to them. I know my husband paid a fair amount for something he could have paid a FRACTION for (and better quality) at the local grocery store. I felt bad to get this as poor as it was, but felt WORSE for my husband because he really TRIED, and being ADHD, it takes him some extra effort to do these things.

This company has ALWAYS had a reputation for quality, and speedy delivery, but the past few years the poor quality has almost but totally DESTROYED this company's good name. A Mr. Robert S. Apatoff runs this company, but obviously he doesn't realize how bad things ARE, and that his company is almost now synonymous with "POOR QUALITY." I don't like giving bad reviews at ALL, online, but when I saw how MANY there were and counting, I had to add mine as well.

There's absolutely no reason to use this "service." The flowers look nowhere near what those displayed do, and the customer service is terrible. I called to change a mistaken order minutes after placing it and they were unable to contact their local florist? I called back 2 more times to check in and got the exact same runaround "We cannot reach our local florist, but will send them a message, and follow up with you." There was never a follow-up. They also refused to provide the information for their local florist, so I can safely guess either they never called, or that the local florist is some fly-by-night shady business and they wanted to hide that. Every florist I call answers or returns calls promptly so why can't they reach them when they try 3 times but can reach them immediately to place an order? The website looks so professional, but they are far from it.

It is obvious when you call for customer service it is a call center where the employees with a shaky grasp of the English language are taught to just repeat the same phrases and tricks in hopes you just give up in frustration. I'll never order through them again and will advise anyone I know to also avoid them. I have had much better luck just calling local florists myself. A quick google search will reveal this company's stock is plummeting and it's no surprise why. Attached are pictures of what was promised, and what was actually delivered.

I have used ftd several times in the past couple of years, and most experiences were satisfactory, but the company has gone down hill. I ordered flowers this past week for a friend of mine whose husband died unexpectedly from a heart attack. The bouquet was blue hydrangeas (the flowers she had at her wedding) and white roses. It wasn't cheap. It was $128 and change. The bouquet she got had no hydrangeas. It had white lilies, some cheap yellow filler flowers, and some other pink cheaper flowers. How did I go from white roses and blue hydrangeas to pink and yellow bs??? It wasn't even the vase they advertised. Also, it showed up a day late.

In addition to that bad experience... I ordered two bouquets of flowers this last Mother's Day. One for my mother and one for my boyfriend's mother. I got a confirmation email that one had been sent so I looked into it because I hadn't gotten a second confirmation. First off, they one that was said to have been sent hadn't even been sent. My boyfriend's mom got them a day or two after that email. As for the flowers for my mom, I had missed an email from ftd canceling the order because it wasn't available. However, I ordered the flowers over a week in advance and they didn't tell me until last minute that it wasn't available. Also, they didn't automatically refund me the money for the order they canceled. I had to spend 45 minutes on the phone to get my money back.

Each time I was told they are not answering and they will send them an email. Something was definitely not right so went online and saw all these frustrated customers. Called immediately (5 pm now) and requested a cancellation and refund.

Was put on hold for 30 seconds again so the local florist could be reached. Big surprise no one is answering. Was offered an upgrade if I agreed to have the flowers delivered tomorrow but I declined right away and requested a cancellation/refund. I requested a specific day for a reason! I will now have to wait until tomorrow so "FTD" can contact the local florist and put in the cancellation. The flowers look nice online but as one reviewer mentioned, "You do not get what you pay for".

This was embarrassing as I was not able to send my condolences for the family gathering. Should have saved myself from a headache, called a local florist directly. FTD is not reliable and should be considered scammers. It is amazing how this company is still in business after seeing all these single star reviews. The customer service appears to be outsourced to India. However, the people I spoke to did not have that heavy an accent and were courteous.

I used a Groupon to place my order and also found out that they offered a promotion that day for free shipping on a specified set of flowers. I placed my order only to find out that I had been charged for shipping and the flowers that got to the recipient were different from the ones that were advertised. When I called to complain about it, Joe the manager offered to give me a $20 coupon to reorder from FTD in the future (what a slap in the face)! Would not order nor recommend FTD to anyone.

I ordered a large bouquet and upgraded it to "full and lush," with a teddy bear, for someone in the hospital. The bouquet was supposed to include lavender stock, Matsumoto asters, iris and daisy poms, and a lantern style vase with a clear glass cylinder. But the bouquet received was nothing like the photo of the one I chose, and there was no lantern style vase - it was a total embarrassment. I contacted customer service and basically got the runaround. No discount, no apology, no refund; just a lingering feeling that I was robbed and there was nothing I could do about it. How can this company get away with such blatant disregard for their customers?

THEN WHY HAVE PHOTOS ONLINE FOR Flowers that will not be sent??

I asked to speak with a manager. When the manager got on the phone he stated he understands my frustration but he can only offer me a 40% discount which was 16.00 bucks!! I didn't have a problem with paying for my order, FIX IT or refund me my money. Then I was told the order placed was for a florist arrangement. I stated I did not order that. I spoke with the representative over the phone and I did not order that. The arrangement that was sent DIDNT come close to what I ordered! I'm so disappointed in FTD. I am a local florist and I want to tell you what really happens when you place an order for delivery of fresh flowers with FTD. This does not include flowers that are shipped in a box (that's a different matter completely). I'm talking about the floral choices you make on their website for flowers designed by a real florist. First of all, you need to know FTD is NOT a flower shop. FTD is an order-taker with a gigantic Internet presence. They pay a lot of money to Google and other search engines to be in your line of sight.

Next you need to know they keep up to 30% of the money you spend on your selection from their website. That means, if you order $100 worth of flowers, the florist only gets about $70. The rest of the money you pay, including the "service fee" stays with FTD. The florist, therefore, has less money than you think in order to fill your order. Most florists do their best to fill the order the way you see it online, but FTD uses Photoshop or professional photographers to lure you in, and real flowers often don't look that way!

Many, many times substitutions must be made. The flowers shown on FTD's website are not necessarily in season. A florist might run out of the color, or the flower, or even the container. Just because FTD sells it, doesn't necessarily mean the florist can fill the order. But you do have a choice! You can take another minute of your time and find a real, local florist! Yes, we are more difficult to find online because we don't have the big bucks to pay Google to compete with the likes of FTD. But we are here! We are the mom and pop businesses that are on your streets, in your cities and towns. We hire your friends and neighbors. We pay local taxes. We support our schools and local athletics. It's worth it to find a real, local flower shop.

How do you know? Pick up the phone and call! Tell the person you want to come in to pick up your flowers, and if they say NO, that you can't come in, then you are dealing with an order-taker like FTD (and so many others, like Teleflora, 1800flowers, Proflowers, Just Flowers, to name a few) and search a little bit farther to find a real flower shop! A real flower shop can tell you which flowers they have in their store, which containers they have, and which day they can deliver. You can be confident that 100% of your money is going into the local economy instead of somewhere out of your control. Take the extra minute to find a real, local flower shop! You'll be glad you did! I hope this helps the next time you think about ordering flowers from FTD.

I placed an order for flowers with ftd.com on 7/7/2016 for my grandmother's 90th birthday. On 7/11/2016, the day of the scheduled delivery, I received a phone message from ftd.com asking me to call them regarding my order. Upon calling them back, a representative explained to me that the florist had contacted them and was confused that the zip code on the order did not match the address. The representative explained that, because of the confusion, the florist did not deliver the flowers. I checked my order receipt email and indeed the city part of the receipt's address, which was shown as Calumet City, IL, did not match the zip code 60643 which is actually Chicago, IL.

While still on the phone, I then did a quick search with google and verified that zip code 60643 is indeed Chicago, IL, and not Calumet City, IL. I explained this to the representative and she updated the information. She then asked me if it was okay to deliver the flowers the next day which I reluctantly agreed to. I was in somewhat of a hurry since I was just then arriving from a plane trip to visit my grandmother on the weekend before her birthday so I left it at that with ftd.com and concluded the call. About an hour later, I called ftd.com back and requested that my delivery charge be refunded. I felt that both the ftd.com and the florist were at fault for not trying to resolve the zip code themselves which is something that took me about ten seconds to do using google while on the phone with the representative.

Also, if the address is entered into google maps, it shows the correct location. I explained my point of view to the representative and she put me on hold to authorize the request. Upon returning, she informed me the ftd.com would not be refunding my delivery charge because the city entered on the website's checkout form did not match the zip code. She did however admit to me that they had verified that the 60643 zip code was indeed Chicago, IL; presumably when I had corrected the order in the previous call. However, she explained that ftd.com has no control over what is entered on the website so there would be no refund. At this point I explained to the representative that if that was their policy, I would no longer be ordering from ftd.com in the future and we concluded the call. After the call, I recreated the order on the ftd.com website.

On the site, before you even browse for the actual flowers you want to purchase, you are required to enter a date of delivery and a zip code so that it can determine what is available. Throughout the ordering process, you are not shown the name of the location that the zip code corresponds to until you check out whereupon the website automatically fills in the city field of the address form. There appears to be an error in the way the website resolves the zip code because, as seen in the attached image, the zip code 60643 results in the city field being auto-filled with Calumet Park, IL which, as previously shown, is an error. The city field of the site's form is editable, and I admit that I did not catch the error. However, when a website auto-fills a form, it is very easy to overlook errors and just assume that the information is correct, especially with something like a zip code to city.

In conclusion, I feel that both the lack of proactive action on the part of ftd.com or the florist to resolve the error themselves and the error on the website itself justify a refund of the delivery charge. ftd.com has shown themselves to be very inept at resolving their own mistakes. It is unacceptable to me that they would not admit fault in this case especially considering that I have a long ordering history with them. I would not recommend anyone ordering from ftd.com until either they resolve the errors with their website or change their policies regarding the consequences of them.

Of course that doesn't pay for the embarrassment of not sending flowers to your close friend when her mom dies!

What really gets me, is not only did they not respond in 48 hours as per their website... but they need to have a system in place so that if a florist is NOT going to make a delivery, then they need to send the order to another florist. If there is no time for that, then FTD should contact the customer themselves and apologize and give you options or a refund. You shouldn't have to contact their site and then follow up with a phone call just to get a resolution.

It started with an email from FTD stating they had a promotion in which they offered $20.00 off your next order. I did not realize it at the time but I was about to become a victim of a classic "bait and switch" scheme because unbeknownst to me, they tacked on a $29.00 service fee to the order. This was a surprise because I signed up for an FTD account so that they would waive the fee. The fee only applies to those who do not have a FTD account. I ordered flowers under the impression that I have an FTD account.

Next, I attempted to complain about the fee but quickly learned that as far as FTD is concerned, "customer service" is an oxymoron. It was quite obvious in their responses that they do not actually read the emails complaining of the overcharge but instead just send an auto respond form that did not address any of the issues in the complaint.

It is highly likely that other customers have experienced this example of unethical and unscrupulous business practices on the part of FTD. In fact, when I went to the consumer affairs website, I learned that there were over 600 complaints filed against FTD. Since they don't listen to their customers, perhaps they will pay attention to a class action lawsuit.

FTD CS person said he was waiting 15 minutes to call the local florist back that had the order to confirm when they were going to deliver them. I had not been notified of any problems or issues with the delivery and I had not been refunded.

I requested a full refund and told them I'd never use any florist associated with FTD ever again. This is completely UNACCEPTABLE and UNPROFESSIONAL!!! You would think with a nationally known company like FTD this would NOT happen. On top of all of that the CS person was a foreigner that talked EXTREMELY slow, couldn't think of the words to use to complete a sentence, repeated everything I said and asked me if that's what I said!!! Like he was repeating what I was saying to someone else in order to get the answers. RIDICULOUS!!! What a disappointment!!!

On May 21 in the morning, I placed an online order for flowers to be sent to my sister-in-law who had been in an awful car wreck. They were to be delivered on the same day, site said orders before 2 pm would be delivered, I called to see if the flowers arrived. They were a NO SHOW! I called FTD, I was informed they were not delivered. I know that. They could deliver in TWO days. I was so upset! Finally told the lady to just cancel my order, the damage has been done. Please do not order flowers from FTD if you want them to arrive.

Not as advertised. I have pictures to prove it. Glad it got there on time (expected by the $20+ service fee) but the bouquet looked sad and not worth the $50 ($75 total with fee and taxes). Needless to say, I will not order from here again or recommend it to anyone.

I called FTD to order flowers for my Aunt's funeral. I was surprised (I don't know why) to find that I was speaking with a person in India, or Malaysia, or Philippines. The woman taking my order was very lovely, but it took twice as long to order as she slowly repeated every word that I said back to me, and I had to repeat myself several times as she did not have a complete understanding of things that I was saying. She was doing her best. I dictated the card to be attached and when I saw the card on the flowers... it was ridiculous! My sister and I laughed out loud at the way it was worded with no punctuation, it had a different meaning. I will not use FTD again, I do not support sending our jobs overseas for corporate greed! We have capable people in the US to man call centers! Pay them! I have washed my hands with you!

I know that it is difficult to trust what you read, however, I assure you that this is legit. I created an account just to leave this warning. We found out Sunday morning that a friend had passed away and we contacted FTD to order a casket spray for Monday to be delivered by 10:30 am. Knowing it was Sunday and online orders do not offer time frames for delivery, I called the FTD toll free number and the person taking the order supposedly called several florists to ensure that they could comply with the time frame. It was confirmed, my order was placed (over $300.00 arrangement) and we were to be contacted by the florist at delivery time.

Monday morning at 9:50 am I get a call from FTD letting me know that the order was held for some unknown reason and that the florist could not complete the order in time. Their solution was to deliver something smaller to the home of the family. I now have 40 min. to find a centerpiece for the funeral. A local florist was extremely helpful, put 4 of their staff on a similar arrangement and we were able to deliver ourselves. I thought I had covered all bases by calling and getting physical confirmation of the delivery, but I was wrong. I will never use FTD and recommend against them. Take the time to contact a local florist directly.

We ordered flowers for Mother's Day (The FTD® Brightly Bejeweled™ Bouquet - VASE INCLUDED 16-S4S) with delivery day on Mother's Day in the Birmingham AL area. Flowers were never delivered that weekend. After waiting 70 minutes on the phone, customer service apologized due to the overload because of Mother's Day. They gave me a full refund of $62.49 and suggested to place the same order with delivery date Monday May 9 the following day of Mother's Day. Customer service employee said they would waive the shipping fee ($17.99) as a courtesy for the inconvenience. I gave them the benefit and agreed. To my dismay, the flowers were never delivered even by Wednesday May 11. The second order did not include the vase and this is why they charged me $55.49. However, they were supposed to waive the standard $17.99

The other refund you see $55.49 was a rather annoying effort of us to buy flowers for Tom's mother. We got the flowers for Mother's Day, but FTD.com was not able to deliver them on time. Not once, but twice! They used to be reputable, but this time they failed badly. They were supposed to deliver the flowers with a vase on Mother's Day weekend. They never did; we placed the order again for delivery in Monday after Mother's Day (May 9), but till Wednesday, May 11, the flowers had not been delivered. The re-placed order did not include the vase, which was included in the original first order. Even worse, my order history on my ftd.com account shows a charge of $37.50, yet my AMEX was charged $55.49 which includes a $17.99 shipping fee that was supposedly waived.

So, original order was never delivered on Mother's Day weekend, as promised. Re-placed order was never delivered and did not include the vase from the original order. My AMEX was charged $17.99 more than what my FTD.com account shows for the same delivery. I called customer service again and they could not provide a status update! Employee claimed she could not reach out to the local florist. I blasted at her and asked for a second full refund, which I received. I have never had such a disappointing experience with flower orders. They failed so badly and they messed up the transactions too. Customer service lady apologized, but did not offer anything other than the standard refund. She suggested to place another order, which was a joke to me! I'm not going to order from FTD.com again. I had used them in the past without issues, but this time they were awful.

When I sent flowers to my mother-in-law on Mother's Day I gave FTD the incorrect address. I tried to contact them via email and telephone. I received no response via email and because of high volume on Mother's Day weekend I couldn't get through via telephone. I called 5/13/16 to find out where the flowers were delivered to. Still waiting to hear back from them. Especially since the incorrect address I gave them apparently doesn't exist. It is an empty lot. In the end it was my fault but still would like closure.

Flowers were not delivered, ordered on Tuesday for Friday delivery, order confirmed via email. Called on Saturday because flowers were not delivered, spent hours on the phone trying to make this right for a Mother's day delivery. They could not accommodate me. They told me there was no way they could deliver on Mother's day, Tuesday would be the earliest. After I hung up I got an email from FTD saying call before midnight Saturday for Sunday delivery?? It was well before midnight when I spoke to FTD rep, yet they told me Sunday was not possible.

My wife ordered flowers through our bank, which in turn was from FTD, for her mother for Mother's Day. The flowers never made it on Mother's Day or even the following three or fours days after. We had to contact FTD ourselves to see what was going on after they didn't respond to our email reply. The first time we contacted them the customer service lady laughed about them not being delivered due to the fact that the florist couldn't or wouldn't fulfill the order. So they were supposed to be redone and delivered the next day or so for a $20 discount. As stated earlier they never got there. After two additional days, we contacted FTD again to see what the issue was, and again the customer service representative chuckled that they couldn't be delivered because the florist they chose doesn't deliver Mother's Day gifts after Mother's Day.

After discussing the problem with the customer service representative, they refunded our order in full and said they would send her a complementary arrangement that would be just as good as the original flowers. It was exactly 8 pink roses and 4 Calla Lilies, little to no greenery, Baby's Breath, or any fillers of sort, and definitely didn't look like the arrangement they instructed us it would be.

So I contacted them one last time to talk to the manager about their customer service and the flowers received, and after talking with him for a while he stated that my mother-in-law is not a florist and that's why the arrangement looks the way it does, and or that she might not have "added all" of the flowers provided and that is why it looks so bad. Not only do the flowers not resemble the arrangement we were told, but the customer service we received was horrendous (other than them trying to provide free flowers)!!! I will never order flowers from FTD again, and I will tell all of my friends and family that they are better off buying an arrangement from a grocery store or Costco before they ever order try FTD.

If you want to 'take a chance they MAY get it right', then FTD is your company. If, however, you want some assurance that they will actually do what they say they will do, then I'd suggest looking elsewhere. FTD is a horrible company that doesn't seem to know what they are doing. I tried to use them to send my mother some strawberries for Mother's Day. I put in the order well in advance (about 10 days prior). I asked to have them delivered on the Saturday before Mother's Day (thinking that would be easier/less busy)...not. Nothing showed up on either Saturday or Sunday. I followed up on Monday. The strawberries made it as far as Natick (about 3 or 4 towns away). I guess I should have asked my mother to drive to Natick to go pick them up. :)

In my follow-up conversations with customer service folks at FTD, I got the impression from them that this happens all the time. They said that would take care of it and send a fresh batch out that day. That never happened either. Lesson learned: Just because FTD has been around a long time doesn't mean they know what they are doing. I will never order anything from them again and would advise anybody who is considering them to avoid them as well.

We ordered flowers for mother's day well in advance. We even wanted them delivered on a Friday, not even the actual chaotic day of mother's day. Well, they contacted us on Friday evening, the same day they were to have been delivered, only to say, "sorry we don't have the flowers and they wouldn't be delivered"!!! Not only did they not have flowers whatsoever, but they couldn't get any flowers until Tuesday. At least a week after I ordered them...after mother's day. Customer rep didn't want to deal with it. She immediately wanted to get off the phone and refund our money. I don't want the money I needed flowers. Worst part is we live in NC, on Fort Bragg...my mother in law in GA. We couldn't get her a present for mother's day since we live so far away. We felt so **. We had a plan, and FTD didn't deliver. NEVER EVER USING FTD.
