Do not use this business. I have been ill and my daughter has been wonderful in caring for me. I wanted to surprise her on her birthday by sending her flowers, balloons and a stuffed animal to her job to say thank you. FTD ruined it. I paid $85.00 and the flowers were not delivered until right before she was leaving work. Do not use this company!!

Ok... so I have literally never posted anything online review before this, but I am really angry. I have used ftd several times in the past couple of years, and most experiences were satisfactory, but the company has gone down hill. I ordered flowers this past week for a friend of mine whose husband died unexpectedly from a heart attack. The bouquet was blue hydrangeas (the flowers she had at her wedding) and white roses. It wasn't cheap. It was $128 and change. The bouquet she got had no hydrangeas. It had white lilies, some cheap yellow filler flowers, and some other pink cheaper flowers. How did I go from white roses and blue hydrangeas to pink and yellow bs??? It wasn't even the vase they advertised. Also, it showed up a day late.
In addition to that bad experience... I ordered two bouquets of flowers this last Mother's Day. One for my mother and one for my boyfriend's mother. I got a confirmation email that one had been sent so I looked into it because I hadn't gotten a second confirmation. First off, they one that was said to have been sent hadn't even been sent. My boyfriend's mom got them a day or two after that email. As for the flowers for my mom, I had missed an email from ftd canceling the order because it wasn't available. However, I ordered the flowers over a week in advance and they didn't tell me until last minute that it wasn't available. Also, they didn't automatically refund me the money for the order they canceled. I had to spend 45 minutes on the phone to get my money back.

My husband wanted to have flowers, chocolates, and bear delivered to my office on my birthday. He ordered on line specifically so that he could verify that the flowers would be delivered on my birthday. He specifically choose the second choice of flowers so they could be delivered. I called to find out why and was told that they were NOT sent to my office until 6:24 p.m., by the way we close like other business in the area at 5:00 p.m. No call to check time. I requested that the flowers be delivered to my home since I would not be at work the next day and was told that was fine and that they would upgrade the flowers. Next day by 2:00 no flowers, I called to find out that they were refusing to deliver to my house. No call from FTD. No follow up whatsoever if I had not called. Also it is interesting that my husband account was debited the amount in 1 day but takes 5 to refund. I would highly NOT SUGGEST to ever use this company!!!

I ordered a $70 total bouquet online, which was supposed to be the "upgraded" BEST bouquet. What was delivered was equivalent to a $9.99 grocery store bouquet of flowers. I was so embarrassed when my friend sent the photo that I contacted FTD. They offered to "swap out" the flowers. I declined, as it was a surprise gift for a friend and a swap out is less than acceptable. They then issued a $20 credit after sitting on hold while the customer care representative called the florist and proceeded to tell me I only paid $40 for flowers so I got what I paid for. Again, I told her that I ordered the largest bouquet and asked if I was able to send a photo of the bouquet that was delivered so that she could see for herself. She declined and said all she could give is $20. I would have expected a much larger credit for the embarrassment of the situation.

Ever since her 1st birthday, I have given my daughter roses on her day. First time she didn't receive them was on her 22nd birthday, thanks to FTD. Ordered them a day in advance and asked for morning delivery. I received no emails confirming delivery throughout the day, so I constantly checked their website and was told the order was "in process." When I called my daughter at 7:30 PM, she had still received nothing. Called FTD, and was told the florist who was supposed to deliver it was probably closed, and would it be OK to deliver them the next day. At $62.81 for 6 roses, the answer is no, it wasn't OK. It took me a generation building a memory, and it took FTD only one time to destroy it. Thanks for nothing.

My wife received horrible news that something was wrong with her heart. She is having a hard time and I was trying to cheer her up as she likes flowers. I can't get it right now due to a recent back surgery less than a week ago and I wanted her to know how much I loved her. Worst customer service. They don't deliver as promised. They never called me to tell me my wife would not receive her flowers. Kept giving me excuses say long no local florist would accept order. Of course FTD didn't call me to tell me they were not making delivery. I had to call them and all the customer service manager kept saying was he was sorry. You think I would have learned since this the second time? This has happened a year ago. The unhelpful manager just said they take 1000's of orders a day and they just made a mistake on my order again.
I asked for their company policy. Of course the Manager didn't know the policy. Manager told me the Top bosses if FTD including CEO do not speak to customers about these types of problems. I asked him multiple times to have his boss call me and all he wanted to say is they will not be able to help me. FTD customer service is the worst company I have dealt with. Not hard to call customer to tell them they are not able to fulfill order but FTD doesn't care about this. Unless I hear from FTD corporate office bosses I will continue to call and request they change their company policy. Don't order from FTD.

I ordered my flowers on 9/16/16 for 9/17/16 to be delivered to my mother on her 57th birthday, since I couldn't spend THAT day with her. When I saw her the next day I asked how she liked the flowers and she told me she never got them. When I called their 24/7 customer service line that night, I was on hold for about an hour before I became tired of listening to their hold music- assuming the 24/7 was a typo or recently changed. I then called this morning 9/18/16 and got in touch with someone almost immediately. The man barely spoke English and informed me that they could not find a FTD certified florist near that location. Which is all fine and dandy, BUT WHY DIDN'T ANYONE CALL ME?! He gave me a half sympathetic apology and asked if I'd like to place another order... Why would I place another order through a company who over promises and under delivers? No, I asked for a full refund.
Since then, they've sent me SIX emails offering me free shipping... SINCE THIS MORNING! Between their limited selection, poor customer service, lack of communication, and their $18 service charge, they'll never receive my business again! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT OR COMPANY TO ANYONE. I'd pay an Uber driver to deliver flowers to my mom before I gave this company another penny. After reading everyone else's reviews, this would explain my challenge of finding where to leave a review on their own website- that says a lot about a company.

Ordered flowers to be sent in time for a viewing 2 hrs. prior to a funeral. Flowers arrived in a broken vase a half hour before the funeral so not in time for the viewing as it was promised. I had specifically asked if it would be delivered in time for the viewing and was told it would be there in time. The top edge of the vase had chunks (large pieces) missing from it.

I ordered a sympathy flower arrangement to arrive the next day. This was for a family gathering between 12 pm and 6 pm. Called customer service between 12 pm and 4 pm (that day) four times looking for status. Each time they would put me on hold for 30 seconds to reach the local florist. Each time I was told they are not answering and they will send them an email. Something was definitely not right so went online and saw all these frustrated customers. Called immediately (5 pm now) and requested a cancellation and refund.
Was put on hold for 30 seconds again so the local florist could be reached. Big surprise no one is answering. Was offered an upgrade if I agreed to have the flowers delivered tomorrow but I declined right away and requested a cancellation/refund. I requested a specific day for a reason! I will now have to wait until tomorrow so "FTD" can contact the local florist and put in the cancellation. The flowers look nice online but as one reviewer mentioned, "You do not get what you pay for".
This was embarrassing as I was not able to send my condolences for the family gathering. Should have saved myself from a headache, called a local florist directly. FTD is not reliable and should be considered scammers. It is amazing how this company is still in business after seeing all these single star reviews. The customer service appears to be outsourced to India. However, the people I spoke to did not have that heavy an accent and were courteous.

I wish I saw this review site for FTD before placing my order. I used a Groupon to place my order and also found out that they offered a promotion that day for free shipping on a specified set of flowers. I placed my order only to find out that I had been charged for shipping and the flowers that got to the recipient were different from the ones that were advertised. When I called to complain about it, Joe the manager offered to give me a $20 coupon to reorder from FTD in the future (what a slap in the face)! Would not order nor recommend FTD to anyone.

I ordered a large bouquet and upgraded it to "full and lush," with a teddy bear, for someone in the hospital. The bouquet was supposed to include lavender stock, Matsumoto asters, iris and daisy poms, and a lantern style vase with a clear glass cylinder. But the bouquet received was nothing like the photo of the one I chose, and there was no lantern style vase - it was a total embarrassment. I contacted customer service and basically got the runaround. No discount, no apology, no refund; just a lingering feeling that I was robbed and there was nothing I could do about it. How can this company get away with such blatant disregard for their customers?

I paid $18 for shipping fee (yes this is what they charge you!!) and they ended up shipping my flowers UPS! My aunt did not receive them until 6pm that night. What a horrible way to do business. Had I known I was using UPS I would have shipped them myself and saved me the $$ and my aunt would have had the flowers that day to enjoy for her birthday. Go with another flower company instead and save your $$.

How embarrassing to order a sympathy bouquet for a dear friend of mine, and the order I placed didn't even come close! Who sends sunflowers and daisies as a bouquet for a funeral?? When I called to speak about my disappoint the CS AGENT first tells me she will give me 20% discount which only $5.16, and proceeded to tell me it's up to the florist discretion as to how the arrangement will be put together! THEN WHY HAVE PHOTOS ONLINE FOR Flowers that will not be sent??
I asked to speak with a manager. When the manager got on the phone he stated he understands my frustration but he can only offer me a 40% discount which was 16.00 bucks!! I didn't have a problem with paying for my order, FIX IT or refund me my money. Then I was told the order placed was for a florist arrangement. I stated I did not order that. I spoke with the representative over the phone and I did not order that. The arrangement that was sent DIDNT come close to what I ordered! I'm so disappointed in FTD. I would NEVER recommend a person to them. BUYER BEWARE! Please see the image and you tell me.

After several unsuccessful attempts to reach FTD customer service by e-mail, I finally called them on Sunday (the flowers were still not delivered!). When my father in law passed away, I purchased flowers from FTD for next day delivery to my mother in law. The next day, FTD called me - after it was too late to have the flowers delivered that day - to tell me they didn't have the bouquet in stock and asked if they could order a replacement to go out the next day. I said OK, but please remove the next-day charge. They proceeded to order flowers that were 15 dollars MORE expensive than the ones I had ordered. THEN, the next day FTD called me - AGAIN AFTER IT WAS TOO LATE - and told me they couldn't deliver the flowers, and offered to deliver them 3 days later - 5 DAYS AFTER THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO ARRIVE. This is the worst customer service experience I have ever had, and my mother-in-law still doesn't have her arrangement.

I am a local florist and I want to tell you what really happens when you place an order for delivery of fresh flowers with FTD. This does not include flowers that are shipped in a box (that's a different matter completely). I'm talking about the floral choices you make on their website for flowers designed by a real florist. First of all, you need to know FTD is NOT a flower shop. FTD is an order-taker with a gigantic Internet presence. They pay a lot of money to Google and other search engines to be in your line of sight.
Next you need to know they keep up to 30% of the money you spend on your selection from their website. That means, if you order $100 worth of flowers, the florist only gets about $70. The rest of the money you pay, including the "service fee" stays with FTD. The florist, therefore, has less money than you think in order to fill your order. Most florists do their best to fill the order the way you see it online, but FTD uses Photoshop or professional photographers to lure you in, and real flowers often don't look that way!
Many, many times substitutions must be made. The flowers shown on FTD's website are not necessarily in season. A florist might run out of the color, or the flower, or even the container. Just because FTD sells it, doesn't necessarily mean the florist can fill the order. But you do have a choice! You can take another minute of your time and find a real, local florist! Yes, we are more difficult to find online because we don't have the big bucks to pay Google to compete with the likes of FTD. But we are here! We are the mom and pop businesses that are on your streets, in your cities and towns. We hire your friends and neighbors. We pay local taxes. We support our schools and local athletics. It's worth it to find a real, local flower shop.
How do you know? Pick up the phone and call! Tell the person you want to come in to pick up your flowers, and if they say NO, that you can't come in, then you are dealing with an order-taker like FTD (and so many others, like Teleflora, 1800flowers, Proflowers, Just Flowers, to name a few) and search a little bit farther to find a real flower shop! A real flower shop can tell you which flowers they have in their store, which containers they have, and which day they can deliver. You can be confident that 100% of your money is going into the local economy instead of somewhere out of your control. Take the extra minute to find a real, local flower shop! You'll be glad you did! I hope this helps the next time you think about ordering flowers from FTD.

I was ordering flowers for my mom, who had just had a stroke. I went through the whole webpage selection process, filled in all the fields, and then at the very end this service fee of $17.99 shows up. While I am certain that part of that is a delivery fee (or perhaps I shouldn't assume), that is pretty outrageous. Then, of course, they offer you a great deal... $19.99 to become a member of their club for a year, with free service fees for the subscription period. Now I am feeling completely manipulated. I called their customer service number, told them why I am not ordering flowers from them, and found a local flower shop near my mom to order the flowers from. I was using my United Airlines Rewards points and chose two plants from their list. After putting in all my info and seeing that 25,000 points would be deducted from my United account... I clicked confirm and then got a message that FTD was charging my credit card. I immediately clicked on the button that said "you may cancel within 24 hours." I received written confirmation from FTD that my order was cancelled. I wrote a complaint to United and received an apology from them in writing. A few days later one of the plants arrived and I spent hours on the phone with FTD and United trying to straighten out the problem.
I wrote to both of them and sent documentation showing the cancellation. When my charge statement arrived for that month I was charged for the one plant. I objected to my credit card company and sent a 1/2" stack of written documentation showing what happened. They wrote back for more information and I sent that registered and certified US mail. The credit card company finally responded that since I got a plant I had to pay!!! My advice to all... BOYCOTT UNITED, FTD AND CHASE. THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS.

I placed an order for flowers with ftd.com on 7/7/2016 for my grandmother's 90th birthday. On 7/11/2016, the day of the scheduled delivery, I received a phone message from ftd.com asking me to call them regarding my order. Upon calling them back, a representative explained to me that the florist had contacted them and was confused that the zip code on the order did not match the address. The representative explained that, because of the confusion, the florist did not deliver the flowers. I checked my order receipt email and indeed the city part of the receipt's address, which was shown as Calumet City, IL, did not match the zip code 60643 which is actually Chicago, IL.
While still on the phone, I then did a quick search with google and verified that zip code 60643 is indeed Chicago, IL, and not Calumet City, IL. I explained this to the representative and she updated the information. She then asked me if it was okay to deliver the flowers the next day which I reluctantly agreed to. I was in somewhat of a hurry since I was just then arriving from a plane trip to visit my grandmother on the weekend before her birthday so I left it at that with ftd.com and concluded the call. About an hour later, I called ftd.com back and requested that my delivery charge be refunded. I felt that both the ftd.com and the florist were at fault for not trying to resolve the zip code themselves which is something that took me about ten seconds to do using google while on the phone with the representative.
Also, if the address is entered into google maps, it shows the correct location. I explained my point of view to the representative and she put me on hold to authorize the request. Upon returning, she informed me the ftd.com would not be refunding my delivery charge because the city entered on the website's checkout form did not match the zip code. She did however admit to me that they had verified that the 60643 zip code was indeed Chicago, IL; presumably when I had corrected the order in the previous call. However, she explained that ftd.com has no control over what is entered on the website so there would be no refund. At this point I explained to the representative that if that was their policy, I would no longer be ordering from ftd.com in the future and we concluded the call. After the call, I recreated the order on the ftd.com website.
On the site, before you even browse for the actual flowers you want to purchase, you are required to enter a date of delivery and a zip code so that it can determine what is available. Throughout the ordering process, you are not shown the name of the location that the zip code corresponds to until you check out whereupon the website automatically fills in the city field of the address form. There appears to be an error in the way the website resolves the zip code because, as seen in the attached image, the zip code 60643 results in the city field being auto-filled with Calumet Park, IL which, as previously shown, is an error. The city field of the site's form is editable, and I admit that I did not catch the error. However, when a website auto-fills a form, it is very easy to overlook errors and just assume that the information is correct, especially with something like a zip code to city.
In conclusion, I feel that both the lack of proactive action on the part of ftd.com or the florist to resolve the error themselves and the error on the website itself justify a refund of the delivery charge. ftd.com has shown themselves to be very inept at resolving their own mistakes. It is unacceptable to me that they would not admit fault in this case especially considering that I have a long ordering history with them. I would not recommend anyone ordering from ftd.com until either they resolve the errors with their website or change their policies regarding the consequences of them.

My wife ordered a bouquet of flowers for her friend's mom's funeral. Since it was out of town, she couldn't use local florists like normal, so she decided to try FTD for the 1st time. Website was nice, she picked a pretty one, it was a little expensive with the extra fees, but okay. 2 days later, we attend the funeral and no flowers... We got online and filled out the complaint form that promised a response in 48 hours. Several days later, no response so she called the customer service #. They verified that the local florist did not make the delivery and told her she would receive a full refund. Of course that doesn't pay for the embarrassment of not sending flowers to your close friend when her mom dies!
What really gets me, is not only did they not respond in 48 hours as per their website... but they need to have a system in place so that if a florist is NOT going to make a delivery, then they need to send the order to another florist. If there is no time for that, then FTD should contact the customer themselves and apologize and give you options or a refund. You shouldn't have to contact their site and then follow up with a phone call just to get a resolution.

I recently ordered flowers through the FTD website and it was by far the worst online purchase experience I have ever had the displeasure of experiencing. It started with an email from FTD stating they had a promotion in which they offered $20.00 off your next order. I did not realize it at the time but I was about to become a victim of a classic "bait and switch" scheme because unbeknownst to me, they tacked on a $29.00 service fee to the order. This was a surprise because I signed up for an FTD account so that they would waive the fee. The fee only applies to those who do not have a FTD account. I ordered flowers under the impression that I have an FTD account.
Next, I attempted to complain about the fee but quickly learned that as far as FTD is concerned, "customer service" is an oxymoron. It was quite obvious in their responses that they do not actually read the emails complaining of the overcharge but instead just send an auto respond form that did not address any of the issues in the complaint.
It is highly likely that other customers have experienced this example of unethical and unscrupulous business practices on the part of FTD. In fact, when I went to the consumer affairs website, I learned that there were over 600 complaints filed against FTD. Since they don't listen to their customers, perhaps they will pay attention to a class action lawsuit.

WARNING to anyone about using FTD Flowers... Awful company with horrific customer service and false advertising. The arrangements that are delivered are a cheap, garbage representation of what is pictured on their website. A picture with roses and trumpet lilies arrived with carnations and weeds. Their delivery promises are lies and when confronted about it, their offer of compensation is ridiculous. I ordered flowers for a good friend's funeral and not only were they not delivered when promised, they were delivered to the wrong address. Then, when the flowers did come the greeting card I paid for was not included, and the flowers looked terrible. Certainly not an 80.00 bouquet that was supposed to have roses and hydrangea, instead it came with with carnations and dirt cheap Peruvian Lilies. Shame on you FTD for taking a heartbreaking occasion and making it much worse!!!

I ordered flowers for Sunday delivery. FTD didn't deliver on Sunday and never notified me of a delay/problem. Responded only after I inquired about order status. I called CS. The first rep said they couldn't find a local florist. Nice! She didn't even apologize. I asked what they were going to do to fix the situation and she offered 10% off and delivery on Monday. I laughed and asked for a manager. The manager did apologize but said she couldn't offer more than 10% off. I asked to speak with a higher manager and she transferred me to a "Refund Manager." He offered me 50% off. I suggested he would give me a full refund and deliver the flowers but he refused. I told them to refund and cancel the order. The worst part about this experience is that they didn't even bother to notify me about delay/problem until after I sent an inquiry. They simply didn't care. Would never use this company again and wouldn't recommend to anyone.

I ordered flowers online today and recognized the FTD name. I looked up coupon codes in order to get a discount and unfortunately at the time of check out, I could not use the code, the flower choice was already discounted. I accepted the disappointment and went to complete the order when I noticed it was higher priced than I expected. They not only charged $17 as a service fee, but they also changed the price of the flowers. The flowers were suddenly $4 more than they were initially. It was odd so I signed out and resigned back in, and the flowers remained at the appropriate discounted price, so I accepted the $17 service fee that they did not explain and I went to check out. They only gave you options for a gift card, not a coupon at all this time. So strange.
I was tired and frustrated, so I completed my order anyway as I wanted my mother to get her flowers. It just felt very opportunistic and I went to review their less than upfront business practices, and that is when I found out there are many, many complaints about the quality of flowers and customer service. Now I am scared and hoping my mother gets something respectable on her birthday, but either way, the frustrating online ordering will encourage me to find a local florist and order by phone in the future.

I called back to check up on the order a week later when the recipient never mentioned getting them and FTD said the flowers had NEVER been delivered. FTD CS person said he was waiting 15 minutes to call the local florist back that had the order to confirm when they were going to deliver them. I had not been notified of any problems or issues with the delivery and I had not been refunded.
I requested a full refund and told them I'd never use any florist associated with FTD ever again. This is completely UNACCEPTABLE and UNPROFESSIONAL!!! You would think with a nationally known company like FTD this would NOT happen. On top of all of that the CS person was a foreigner that talked EXTREMELY slow, couldn't think of the words to use to complete a sentence, repeated everything I said and asked me if that's what I said!!! She was doing her best. I dictated the card to be attached and when I saw the card on the flowers... it was ridiculous! I know that it is difficult to trust what you read, however, I assure you that this is legit. I created an account just to leave this warning. We found out Sunday morning that a friend had passed away and we contacted FTD to order a casket spray for Monday to be delivered by 10:30 am. Knowing it was Sunday and online orders do not offer time frames for delivery, I called the FTD toll free number and the person taking the order supposedly called several florists to ensure that they could comply with the time frame. It was confirmed, my order was placed (over $300.00 arrangement) and we were to be contacted by the florist at delivery time.
Monday morning at 9:50 am I get a call from FTD letting me know that the order was held for some unknown reason and that the florist could not complete the order in time. Their solution was to deliver something smaller to the home of the family. I now have 40 min. to find a centerpiece for the funeral. A local florist was extremely helpful, put 4 of their staff on a similar arrangement and we were able to deliver ourselves. I thought I had covered all bases by calling and getting physical confirmation of the delivery, but I was wrong. I will never use FTD and recommend against them. Take the time to contact a local florist directly.

We ordered flowers for Mother's Day (The FTD® Brightly Bejeweled™ Bouquet - VASE INCLUDED 16-S4S) with delivery day on Mother's Day in the Birmingham AL area. Flowers were never delivered that weekend. After waiting 70 minutes on the phone, customer service apologized due to the overload because of Mother's Day. They gave me a full refund of $62.49 and suggested to place the same order with delivery date Monday May 9 the following day of Mother's Day. Customer service employee said they would waive the shipping fee ($17.99) as a courtesy for the inconvenience. I gave them the benefit and agreed. To my dismay, the flowers were never delivered even by Wednesday May 11. The second order did not include the vase and this is why they charged me $55.49. However, they were supposed to waive the standard $17.99
The other refund you see $55.49 was a rather annoying effort of us to buy flowers for Tom's mother. We got the flowers for Mother's Day, but FTD.com was not able to deliver them on time. Not once, but twice! They used to be reputable, but this time they failed badly. They were supposed to deliver the flowers with a vase on Mother's Day weekend. They never did; we placed the order again for delivery in Monday after Mother's Day (May 9), but till Wednesday, May 11, the flowers had not been delivered. The re-placed order did not include the vase, which was included in the original first order. Even worse, my order history on my ftd.com account shows a charge of $37.50, yet my AMEX was charged $55.49 which includes a $17.99 shipping fee that was supposedly waived.
So, original order was never delivered on Mother's Day weekend, as promised. Re-placed order was never delivered and did not include the vase from the original order. My AMEX was charged $17.99 more than what my FTD.com account shows for the same delivery. I called customer service again and they could not provide a status update! Employee claimed she could not reach out to the local florist. I blasted at her and asked for a second full refund, which I received. I have never had such a disappointing experience with flower orders. They failed so badly and they messed up the transactions too. Customer service lady apologized, but did not offer anything other than the standard refund. She suggested to place another order, which was a joke to me! I'm not going to order from FTD.com again. I had used them in the past without issues, but this time they were awful.

My wife ordered flowers through our bank, which in turn was from FTD, for her mother for Mother's Day. The flowers never made it on Mother's Day or even the following three or fours days after. We had to contact FTD ourselves to see what was going on after they didn't respond to our email reply. The first time we contacted them the customer service lady laughed about them not being delivered due to the fact that the florist couldn't or wouldn't fulfill the order. So they were supposed to be redone and delivered the next day or so for a $20 discount. As stated earlier they never got there. After two additional days, we contacted FTD again to see what the issue was, and again the customer service representative chuckled that they couldn't be delivered because the florist they chose doesn't deliver Mother's Day gifts after Mother's Day.
After discussing the problem with the customer service representative, they refunded our order in full and said they would send her a complementary arrangement that would be just as good as the original flowers. It was exactly 8 pink roses and 4 Calla Lilies, little to no greenery, Baby's Breath, or any fillers of sort, and definitely didn't look like the arrangement they instructed us it would be.
So I contacted them one last time to talk to the manager about their customer service and the flowers received, and after talking with him for a while he stated that my mother-in-law is not a florist and that's why the arrangement looks the way it does, and or that she might not have "added all" of the flowers provided and that is why it looks so bad. Not only do the flowers not resemble the arrangement we were told, but the customer service we received was horrendous (other than them trying to provide free flowers)!!! I will never order flowers from FTD again, and I will tell all of my friends and family that they are better off buying an arrangement from a grocery store or Costco before they ever order try FTD.

If you want to 'take a chance they MAY get it right', then FTD is your company. If, however, you want some assurance that they will actually do what they say they will do, then I'd suggest looking elsewhere. FTD is a horrible company that doesn't seem to know what they are doing. I tried to use them to send my mother some strawberries for Mother's Day. I put in the order well in advance (about 10 days prior). I asked to have them delivered on the Saturday before Mother's Day (thinking that would be easier/less busy)...not. Nothing showed up on either Saturday or Sunday. I followed up on Monday. The strawberries made it as far as Natick (about 3 or 4 towns away). I guess I should have asked my mother to drive to Natick to go pick them up. :)
In my follow-up conversations with customer service folks at FTD, I got the impression from them that this happens all the time. They said that would take care of it and send a fresh batch out that day. That never happened either. Lesson learned: Just because FTD has been around a long time doesn't mean they know what they are doing. I will never order anything from them again and would advise anybody who is considering them to avoid them as well.

I had never used FTD.com previously, but thought I would be getting a superior product since they contract with local florists to arrange and deliver their products. I found an arrangement for my mom and my girlfriend that I was sure they would enjoy. I also decided to purchase their Gold Membership in order to ensure that the orders were delivered without issue. I set up both orders to be delivered at their respective places of employment for Friday, May 6th. May 6th comes around. My girlfriend receives her arrangement. It comes in two different boxes, via UPS, and neither box contains the flowers I had picked out. It's alright, my girlfriend is very happy and surprised by them.
My mom, however, never received anything. I called the customer service line on Saturday, and they contacted the local florist. This is the reps response. "I'm sure you can appreciate there were hundreds of orders for delivery today. The local florist was not aware it was a business address." This made me extremely angry because you have to choose business or residential. Also, I put the name of my mom's office there. So the first 3 lines were: My Mom's Name, Business, Her Office Name.
So I said that is the most ridiculous excuse I have ever heard. She offered to have them delivered Saturday, but my parents just moved to the area, and their new place is difficult to find. So I had no faith in them being able to find their home if they cannot find a business that is easily located on Google Maps. So I asked for the arrangement to be delivered on Monday. Called customer service and spoke with a woman who said she would resend the order for delivery Saturday. The flowers were never received for Mother's Day. Sent several emails requesting delivery confirmation and never received a response. Called Monday and was told the representative I spoke with Friday cancelled my order, "per customer request” – a plain lie. I will never order from FTD again.

I ordered what I expected was a lovely flower arrangement for my mother-in-law, to be delivered on May 6th, for her Mother's Day present. Nothing delivered on Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Flowers come today, and are dead and MOLDY. Awesome. I call Customer Service, ask for money back and a new arrangement sent at their expense, and this was unacceptable. Will refund the cost of the flowers and let me do a new order at 20% discount. Um, no, I got a coupon for ordering that was better than that. Ask again for another bouquet to be sent. Nope. They won't do anything. I tell them refund the $$ and shipping charge, and I will not be ordering from FTD again, and rep hemmed and hawed about refunding the shipping. Odd that you can't review items on the FTD website. 1-800-Flowers, here I come. Just a huge disappointment.

My son and daughter-in-law sent me flowers for Mother's Day 2016 and I received a little paint bucket with flowers that looked like a bunch of flowers that you could buy at Walmart for 5.99. Well I sent a picture of the flowers to my son and thanked them for sending to me. I shortly received a picture back showing me what I was supposed to receive was a large bouquet of purple flowers (my favorite color) with a cut glass vase. Ha ha ha, I got a paint bucket instead. The bouquet they paid for was 64.99, the bouquet they sent was 44.99. Looks like they made a cook 20.00 on that transaction, but even worse, the flowers I received didn't match any of the flowers that come with the little paint bucket, not even close.
I will warn friends about this and how badly they ripped off my son and daughter-in-law. After reading some other reviews, it seems that this is a regular practice for FTD. When I tried to call them about it, I was put on hold for 15 minutes, and when they answered, the immediately hung up on me. I tried to call back and couldn't get through. I imagine that there are so many complaints that the circuits are busy! Buyer Beware!!

I order flowers on 5/5/2016 (Thursday) for next day Friday delivery. These flowers were for Mother's Day. Flowers never arrived. Got an email 5/9/2016 stating the arrangement I ordered was no longer available in that area (Houston, TX) and I could contact FTD for a replacement arrangement. No thanks. The flowers were for an occasion that has passed, however my credit card was charged the $74. I spoke with a customer service rep on 5/8/2016 once I realized the flowers had not been delivered. She offered little help and was sorry for the inconvenience. It wasn't an inconvenience, it was ruined my Mother's Day gift to my mom! Very disgusted with the service (lack thereof) with FTD. I will go back to 1-800-Flowers.

I used to think that FTD was a reputable company, but their standards have declined badly. I have now received two floral arrangements from my daughters that not only bore absolutely no resemblance to what they ordered, but were of a very inferior quality. They did not even look like they had been arranged by a professional. And the purchase price was very expensive. One of my daughters contacted Customer Service, sent pictures, and was given an 8% refund. They are not even abiding by their published two-fold satisfaction guarantee. Do not purchase from them if you expect to get what you ordered.

I called FTD customer service many times, they kept emailing me the order has processed and completed but that's a lie because the recipient has never received anything. The next day, I emailed to cancel the order and asked for refund. I got another email--the flower is on its way (Mother's Day is already over) so they can't cancel the order! My husband and I placed separate orders with FTD for flowers for our mothers for Mother's Day. My mother-in-law received her flowers in a box, not in a vase as ordered. My mother NEVER received her flowers. We gave two date options (Saturday and Sunday Mother's Day) for delivery. I called FTD on Monday following Mother's Day. I was upset enough that my mother did not receive her flowers, but having to deal with the run around I got from FTD was as bad.
FTD looked up my order and told me they did not have a complete address for delivery. I had the email that confirmed my order and the address for delivery was complete. I told the customer rep that I would forward her the email to show that the address was complete but she didn't want me to. I asked to speak to a manager but the rep told me that I could not.
After 20 minutes on the phone, the order was cancelled BUT the rep told me I would have to pay the delivery fee. What? Me pay the delivery fee when there was no delivery. Obviously, FTD has turned into a sleazy company. We will never do business with FTD again!!! I disputed the charges on my credit card following the call. My husband will have to call about the order he placed when he gets home from work this evening. This experience with FTD has been a total nightmare. Never again.

I had already been that route last year and the order was still not right. I had already called the florist that delivered the arrangement this year to find out where the breakdown in communication was coming from, only to find out that FTD tells the florist in their order they send that substations are ok for the order. I did not ok substations for my order. They then offered 10 and then 20% off the order, not acceptable. Do not use this florist site unless you don't care what they send because it won't be what's pictured on the site. Very disappointed with this company and their lack of customer service.

I can't believe anyone does business with this company or that it is still in existence. When I call and talk to a representative she notifies me that there is NO FLORIST AVAILABLE IN THE AREA. Nice. Three days after I order them, at 8:15 PM ON Mother's Day I'm notified (only after *I* called them) that my Mother would not be receiving my gift. I will make it my crusade to make sure that everyone I know orders from a competitor as opposed to FTD. I ordered flowers for my mother for Mother's Day - when she sent me a picture of the ones she received, it was definitely not the bouquet I ordered. We're not picky people; the flowers were nice and she liked them. But still, not the ones my sister and I had picked out. I went online and did some research, finding out which bouquet she *was* sent. Turns out it was quite a bit cheaper than the ones I ordered (if they were the same price, I wouldn't have cared so much). After emailing FTD customer service, they let me know about their "substitution policy," where they reserve the right to completely change your order, depending on what flowers are available.
While I understand that, and it's a sound policy to have: 1. The new bouquet was not close or comparable to the quality or quantity of my original order, and 2. It seems odd that they didn't or couldn't inform me of the substitution before delivery. I guess there's nothing I can do about it now, except for letting others know about this kind of weird loophole that allows last-minute changes from the company with zero repercussions on their end. I'm going to be doing all my floral shopping from a local place now, since I apparently can't trust FTD to send what I order.

After awful experiences with ProFlowers and 1800flowers, I thought I would take advantage of consumer reports high ratings of FTD. Although FTD delivered on time, their pictures and descriptions did not look like what my recipient received! They replaced that arrangement on time but again, it did not look like what I ordered. Always have your recipient take pics if you can.
After kindly complaining to customer service, she stated that the florist goes by the 'recipe' and they don't consult the picture so they don't even know what the picture looks like! Now if that explanation wasn't ridiculous enough, I asked her then, "how the heck would I know what I was ordering??" It's the end of common sense! And this was an English speaking agent! They had no information on what happened but that the flowers could be delivered no early than Tuesday and also offered a $10.00 discount on an order that was over $60.00. I said that was unacceptable as the that discount was minuscule when compared to the overall cost of the order, as well as they missed the delivery date of Mother's Day, and the also offered a seven day delivery guarantee on their website.
I further said that I wanted the ordered delivered as soon as possible and that I wanted a refund since they had badly missed the delivery date and mishandled the Mother's Day delivery. This "bouquet" cost almost $90, which I would be happy to pay if the item were as described and the delivery was timely. It appears that I am not alone in being an extremely dissatisfied customer. I would certainly give 0 stars for FTD if that were an option. I ordered one arrangement for my grandmother, and received an email at 3:30 pm on the day it was supposed to be delivered saying that they wouldn't be delivering the flowers, and offered to send an apology email to her (not making this up). She's 96, and doesn't have email. The other arrangement, ordered for my stepmom, was gorgeous in the photo, and I ordered the upgraded bouquet, thinking it would be perfect for her. Instead, she received something that looks like the florist crammed a bunch of leftover odds and ends from the shop floor into an ugly urn and sent it on its merry way.
I will let the photos speak for themselves (one is from the FTD website, and the other is a picture my dad took and sent to me of the arrangement she received), and I am so embarrassed that my stepmom received something like this for Mother's Day. For almost $100, I would expect an arrangement to somewhat remotely resemble what I paid for. And my stepmom is amazing, and deserves a gorgeous arrangement. FTD did do a refund, but I would never recommend them to anyone and won't be using them myself.

I contacted FTD today at 12:30pm to find out an ETA on my delivery and was on hold for 15 minutes. After the long hold I was told that they cannot give me an ETA. I informed the service representative that I am having this delivered to a business and that my mother would be leaving at close of business 6:00pm, and was assured that this would be completed by then.
At 5:30pm my order had still not been delivered. I then contacted customer service again and waited on hold for nearly 30 minutes and was told that the order was out for delivery and would be there, but the representative could not give me any information. Here it is 10:00pm and the order was never delivered. I am currently on hold with the FTD customer service department as I write this email and have been on hold for 1 hour 10 minutes, and have yet to talk to a representative. Yesterday I realized that I would not be able to visit my grandmother for Mother's Day, as I had planned, so I decide to send her flowers. I realized it was getting close to the wire, but I expected I'd be able to find something to send. I'd used a floral service (other than FTD) recently, and hadn't been impressed, so I decided to use FTD this time. I picked out a nice arrangement that I think cost over $80 with everything, and thought all was well. This morning I received an email telling me that they couldn't fulfill my order, and that I needed to contact them. I called, stayed on hold, and spoke to a young lady who told me that they couldn't find a florist (in the decent-sized destination city) to fulfill the order.
She actually called one of their member-florists and they wouldn't even answer. She said that someone from FTD would have to call me back once they'd spoken to the florist. I told her that I needed to know something so that I could make other plans, and would call them back around noon if I hadn't heard from them. At about 12:30, I called them back, again waited on hold, and spoke to a young man (I could hardly hear or understand him.) He asked for both addresses as well as my credit card number (the latter I declined to give). I told him about the situation, and he didn't understand at first.
Finally, he understood, and after a time, was able to tell me that a florist had been found to deliver my order. Now I'm concerned as to what my grandmother will actually receive. From now on, I'm not going to use a floral-service, but instead call a florist directly. You don't save any money using a service like FTD, and I feel that if there's a problem, you may get the run-around. Again, the young customer service reps tried to be helpful, but the whole system seems clunky and not very responsive, especially during peak holidays.
There needs to be a way to let the customer know exactly WHAT is wrong (they're out of a certain vase, or out of certain flowers, or simply don't have any florists available). You'd think that, if nothing else, FTD would have a few stock designs always on hand in a warehouse somewhere that they would able to overnight FREE if a customer ordered something that couldn't be fulfilled. To me, anything is better than having a customer spend all that time making a selection, with no hint that anything might be wrong, and then make them have to spend over an hour trying to get things sorted out.

The first three customer service agents seemed fine but I soon realized one put the wrong day of delivery, one randomly cancelled my order, and the other one took my credit card number twice and charged me an additional three more times on top of the first initial purchase. Each time I call, they have had no earthly idea what the problem is. Well, the problem is multiple charges that my bank has now had to file paperwork and contact them to get rid of. My mom no longer gets beautiful flowers on her birthday because of how horrendous this company treats their consumers. It's a shame some companies don't put customers first. I will never contact these people again.

This is still an ongoing saga, but agreed with all here, this is the WORST. I cannot believe how low this company has fallen and how much disarray it has fallen into. It is a shambles of its prior reputation. Ordered a "deal" for next day delivery only to find the roses "weren't available in the recipient area." Called to replace order and dealt with a heavy Indian accent. Very apologetic but useless. The first guy ordered something and I could not understand anything he said. I called a few hours later to confirm since I got no email, spoke to a female Indian agent to find he really didn't do anything! (But she was more understandable). She did get me a new email but it came well into the morning of the order!
Then, the message on the card was wrong. All told, delivery failed for that day completely and she will not be at work for her surprise until Tuesday!!! I only gave one star because I have to, and that is a mighty high mark for this. Plus, they RAISED the price for the substitution!!! I will fight to speak to the U.S. corporate office, not the offshore hive... But with all of everyone's experience, I'm going for the full refund here - three attempts and ALL of them bounced. WOW.

I called the FTD 1-800 number and was greeted by a woman, Rose who clearly struggled to speak the English language. After I explained what the problem was she placed me on hold. She then returned to say the florist has a new driver and the flowers would be delivered Friday by noon.
I asked to speak to the supervisor as I wanted this order taken off my credit card immediately and cancelled the order. I was told the florist has to cancel the order. The supervisor was a lady who was not fluent in the English language either. So this is what FTD does. They broke out the orders to the local florist "Flowers and Chicken at Joe's" and then they are have no checks in place to make sure the order was delivered. This is the most fraudulent company. My husband's grandmother passed away on 3/6/16 and I wanted to send my mother in law in Maryland something beautiful. So I searched and searched for sympathy flowers and then I came across the Precious Heart Bouquet and I thought "wow she would love these." We have used other companies in the past, but I heard great things about FTD. Man was I wrong. I should have went with 1-800-FLOWERS.
I had the flowers delivered on Tuesday 3/8/16. On Friday 3/11/16 we arrived in Maryland for the funeral. When I got to my mother in law's house I said "where are the flowers?" She pointed to the coffee table to a half dead vase of flowers that were the height of a 2 liter bottle of soda (vase included). I said there's no way those are the flowers. She assured me they were and the note I had sent was right in the top. The flowers were hideous. Not only were they limp and half dead... they looked as if someone just threw them in the vase - no organization or skill at all. I could have done a better job myself with flowers from Walmart. I couldn't believe that is what I just paid $80 for. I even ordered the "BEST" option.
I immediately started apologizing to her and pulling up my email with my order information. My husband told me to calm down and call in the morning. The next morning at 9 am I called FTD and spoke with a very nice rep who assured me that she would send another bouquet THAT DAY and even upgrade the order for free. Fast forward to that evening around 6 pm - STILL NO FLOWERS. I called again that night and another rep told me they would contact a local florist and came back on the line to say the florist was closed. Never heard anything and no flowers arrived. Next morning (Sun. 3/13) I call again. I am told that they will contact the local florist. I hang up. Still no flowers arrive.
So I called again (Mon 3/14) as we were getting ready to leave Maryland and head home to NJ. The rep tells me that the florist who originally delivered the flowers said that there was nothing wrong with their delivery. I said "of course they aren't going to admit they made a hideous bouquet." She said she would issue a dispute and the florist would call my mother in law with a delivery time for the new flowers and they would want to take the bad bouquet back. I said "no problem," she will await their call.
It is now Thursday 3/17... Still no new flowers. No one has called my mother in law or me for that matter. I called FTD and demanded a supervisor and the rep wouldn't put me on the phone with one. All she could do was "reassure" me that she would handle it and contact the florist once again. What a disgrace. I urge anyone sending flowers to stay far far away from this company. In fact, if you can deliver the flowers yourself. Go to a local florist and do just that.

It was all good! I had one issue with it though. My face was hurting from all the smiling all day long. It was the first delivery of flowers I ever received.
It was tax return time so having a little extra green in my pocketbook, I sent 3 dozen purple iris to my sister in-law. Her favorite color and flower and that is what she received. She told me she had never been sent any flowers. Having been married umpteen years with 4 fully grown children I was shocked. She lived on top of the mountain, out in the sticks I tell you. The other item is how much extra flower items are inputted with the main flowers that is ordered.

NOT at all what the pictures showed. I should have suspected something when it became so easy to order what I had wanted. I ordered from their web page and expressly asked if the arrangement I selected was available AND, would it actually look like its picture on their web page. Long distance does NOT work! Go to a LOCAL florist and save your money! Just because a stranger tells you what the recipient should be receiving, don't believe it! I repeat, go local!
I've learned my lessons TWICE. I will NEVER use a national flower service again. They seem trained to tell you what you want to hear, regardless of what they're intending to actually send. I now utilize LOCAL florists, even if they're out of town (I look them up online), that way I'm able to speak to the florist and not just a phone clerk!

We had a bereavement in the family and received many floral arrangements most of which were beautiful and presented appropriately. There were floral tributes and plants from overseas and from all parts of Canada. Most of all I liked an assortment of plants in a dish garden, addressed to my 12yr old granddaughter. There was a curly fern in the centre with smaller plants around it. African violets, Kalanchoe and a small palm. They are thriving in my living room, ready to move to her deck in the Spring, a lasting reminder of her Mom.
I always cut a small diagonal piece from the stems of delivered cut flowers and follow the directions stirring in the preservative powder dissolving it before arranging the flowers. I create a "frame" of bracken or greenery as a background for the lovely blooms. In a mixed arrangement I would usually place the tallest stem in the centre. Some flowers are best in a very plain vase with no other greenery, tulips especially so. I've heard that a copper coin in the water will prolong the life of tulips and that piercing the stem just below the head, using a fine needle will prolong the closed head look.
If I have a problem with a floral delivery my local florist will deal with it. On a couple of occasions, Irises which have been chilled and failed to recover have been replaced by him on his way home. Often imported flowers seem droopy when they arrive but perk up well overnight.

I wouldn't say that anything really bothered me but, I would have chosen flowers for the arrangement. A deal breaker for me would be not getting what I'm paying for. If it's something I have envisioned in my mind and I'm paying you for your services, then I expect to get out something close enough to what I'm wanting. I would however suggest if you want your order to arrive in time, place it at least a week in advance. Drooping on delivery day or not delivered on the day promised would be a deal breaker. Substituted flowers as long as they were the same value as the ordered flowers wouldn't bother me. This was an online purchase. It was easy to do and there was a great selection. When my young niece passed away I wanted to get the nicest flower arrangement I could afford sent to my brother and his wife. I went to what I thought would be a reputable company, FTD.com to place my order. I selected the "Farewell Too Soon" bouquet and the "BEST" size. The regular price for this arrangement was $99.99 plus taxes and shipping... I had a 20% off coupon that I used so the total price including shipping came to $97.99. I reviewed the type of flowers that would be in the bouquet, looked at how full it was in the picture and went ahead and made the purchase... thinking it was a gorgeous arrangement.
The next day my brother posted a photo and a "thank you" on his Facebook page and when I saw what had been delivered I was shocked. FTD.com has three categories to choose from when selecting an arrangement..."GOOD", "BETTER" AND "BEST"...not only did the flowers delivered to my brother not look like the picture of the "BEST" bouquet, it didn't even look as nice as the FTD.com "GOOD" bouquet.
I immediately sent FTD.com a complaint and I received the following response: "Please accept our sincere apologies with regard to your recent FTD.COM purchase. We understand how important this gift is to both you and your recipient, and we are truly sorry it did not meet your expectations. We always strive to provide the very finest quality and service, so please let us assure you that all your future orders will be filled with the special attention and care that they deserve." Obviously they didn't care enough to even ask for photos so they could properly assess the complaint.
I then went back to FTD.com and reviewed my order and discovered that if I clicked on the Product Description "See More" more detailed description would pop-up for each size of bouquet. I suddenly realized that the photos FTD.com displays is grossly exaggerated in size and beauty when compared to the official description of what you will receive. The description said I would receive "16 stems", but when I count what is visible in the photo of the "BEST" arrangement I purchased there at least 20 stems on just one side of the bouquet... so their "BEST" photo probably has at least twice as many stems as what they actually deliver.
Then I counted the stems in the FTD.com "GOOD" arrangement and it has 10 stems visible, so it is actually a closer visual description of what they delivered... but much more beautiful. The arrangement my brother received had a LOT more green in it than any of the FTD.com photos. I'm thoroughly disgusted with FTD.com and will never use them again.

My issue is that FTD uses UPS, and UPS's statement to me was that they do not guarantee intact arrivals for perishables and food, and UPS will not reimburse. With this in mind, FTD should either insure their deliveries or use another carrier. My advice is for all to use other floral companies who use local florists who also deliver locally. My friend's mother died and I placed an order for Condolence Flowers. After a few hours, I received a call saying they couldn't complete the order because they had no florist in the area. I asked why I was allowed to complete the online order if this was the case and the Customer Service Representative (who didn't speak English very well) just kept repeating "I apologize for the inconvenience" to most any question. I finally asked for some sort of compensation and received a $15 coupon towards my next order.
This week (the very next week) my good friend's daughter ended up in the ER so I used my coupon to order a Get Well Balloon Bouquet and added on a teddy bear to be delivered the same day. They live in a big city so I didn't foresee any problems. I received an email confirmation of the order. The next two days I didn't hear from my friend so I logged on to my ftd.com account and my bank account and verified the order and that I was charged for it. I initiated an "order status request" via email and received an automatically generated email saying they would get back to me within 24 hours. That came and went so I finally called.
Again, the Customer Service Representative and I had a hard time communicating because English was limited. I explained the situation and was repeatedly told "I apologize for your inconvenience," but was not offered any answers. When I told him he wasn't answering my questions I was put on hold and then told that the florist said the address I had requested was outside their delivery area. I asked again why I was not communicated with and that I wanted a full refund. He said "he respected my decision, but would have to consult" and put me on hold. Before he left I asked to speak to a manager whom I was told was engaged on another call. When he came back I said I wanted a full refund, my original coupon back and a new coupon for the trouble this time. I also reiterated that I wanted to speak to a manager and was again told that "my manager is engaged on another call."
I asked again if I was going to be refunded and was told yes and then I ended the call. I am so frustrated as I feel like the Customer Service Agents are only operating from a script and are not at all prepared or equipped to actually handle any issues. I am completely dissatisfied and think that this website and service are horrible. Unless I am in dire straits and am sending flowers to my next door neighbor or someone only out of duty and don't actually care if they arrive, I will not use them again. The most frustrating part is the company doesn't seem to care one bit about retaining customers or customer satisfaction. That is sad.

I wasted a lot of time explaining and reexplaining the situation to make sure she understood and that I understood her. It matters not what her origins are. FTD is obligated to provide customer service agents that improve the customer experience, not detract from it.
In the end she did not offer an apology and it apparently did not matter that FTD had missed their delivery target (I view the situation as FTD's fault because FEDEX is their contracted delivery service). She was focussed on redelivery and offered a discount on that order replacement. The redelivery was scheduled for February 17th. In my world, if my organization fails to deliver quality product at the promised time we put that customer at the top of the delivery list, not the bottom as FTD did to me. Again, lousy customer service. The discount is not a real discount, but a voucher for the next purchase, which is useless to me because I am committed to never using them again. That was not made clear to me upfront, otherwise I might have considered a refund and gone somewhere else (gee, do you think that might have been their intent?).
I would have logged this same review on the FTD site, but I see they do not have a formal customer service logging page. You need to email them, which is not best practice. It's too easy for an email to go astray or get deprioritized. So, I encourage everyone to find an alternate supplier for fresh flowers. FTD has clearly demonstrated to me they do not have my or your best interests in mind. They have lied to me, they have fraudulently proposed discounts to me, and they have wasted my time with a low-cost, but low-value call center.

Like most of the reviews, I ordered a beautiful plant and didn't get what I ordered. I ordered a pretty pink arrangement for my wife for Valentine's Day and received a dark purple, rotted Calla Lily. First the color was horrible and worse yet all the foliage was turning yellow and the stems were so diseased that the stems and blooms were falling apart as I tried to put the plant in the container.
What should have been a beautiful surprise was sickening to even look at. After calling FTD customer service several times, as well as several emails, they sent another Calla Lily (after Valentine's Day) and although this one may last the full guaranteed week it's still the ugly dark color instead of the pretty pink I ordered. If ftd is unable to fulfill an ordered they should be customer oriented enough to tell the consumer and give us the option of going elsewhere instead of taking $90 for something that I find ugly and unacceptable. I have attached pictures of what I ordered as well as what was received. I seldom write reviews, but if enough people take the time to tell their stories maybe the next person won't get taken advantage of.

The flowers I ordered never got delivered. Then talking to customer service, I get told they have no way to deliver because they have no florist in the area. Amazingly there is a FTD florist listed two miles away from the delivery address. Then I get told FTD could FedEx the order (why wasn't that done to begin with) and that FTD would upgrade the product because of the missed delivery. Then I was told that they are cancelling the original order crediting my account and would need to charge me for the upgrade and FEDEX. Are you people freaking kidding me. You use to be a reputable business. I guess that is all in the crapper.

I ordered my flowers and asked for them to be delivered to my mother in laws house the day before valentines day so that I could pick them up and have them ready for my wife on Valentine's day. I wasn't sure who's name to put, my wife or my mother in law so I place the order and then called them. The lady I talked to had a very heavy accent and I could barely understand a word she said but I explained that they were to be shipped to one person but were actually for another person. After a 30 minute conversation trying to explain this, they claim to have the order right and I get off of the phone. Then my flowers never come. Empty handed for valentines day.
I emailed them and continued to email them for 3 days without response. I finally call them and get who I believe is the same person that barely speaks English. They tell me that they have no tracking number for the flowers and have no idea what happened to it... They had no issue charging me for them but have no idea where the order went after they took my money. They are issuing me a refund but never even offered to do anything to try to make up for their major mistake. I will never use them again and I do not recommend that anyone else does.

I ordered flowers to be delivered on Feb 14. It was a Sunday, so I paid $11.00 for delivery on Sunday as well as $17.99 for delivery. Flowers arrived in a box on Monday Feb. 15 and the tulips in the arrangement that had sat in a box for two days were dead. I called for a refund. First they said they would resend the flowers, but they already missed my mother's birthday. They then said they would give me the $11 back, but I felt that was unacceptable. They then offered me 20% off on a new order which I declined because they didn't provide the service I paid for. Finally they offered me a $20 refund and wouldn't refund the flowers or all of the shipping charges. I will not use this business again. It cost me $48.99 for dead flowers on the wrong day and that including the refund.

On 2/11/16 I order online flowers and paid $120.00 plus $21.99 service fee for a total charge of $141.99 for flowers to be delivered on Valentines day 2/14/16. They guaranteed the flowers would be delivered sometime on that day, 2/11/16. The flowers that I order were from my son who is deployed overseas in the Middle East, for his pregnant wife's Valentines present. My daughter-in-law is due on 2/24/16 so it was very important to us! I emailed FTD several times to see if the flowers had been delivered as there was nobody for me to talk to on the phone. I eventually received an email with a Delivery Confirmation at 3:58 AM on 2/12/16. This was false. The flowers were NEVER delivered to my daughter-in-law as the confirmation email indicated. When I called FTD on 2/15/16 they said the flower company they used said their computer was down.
FTD was also not able to send out any flower on 2/15/16 as there were no fresh flowers available from other local flower shops. They did say that they would cancel the order and credit my American Express for the $141.99 for the flowers that were never receive and offered me a coupon. I declined the $10.00 off coupon and will never use FTD ever again. Not only did they not do as they promised for which I paid, but I consider it unethical and incompetent that they emailed me a confirmation letter when in fact the flowers were never received.
FTD did have my daughter-in-law's cell phone number, so they could have called her. I did call my credit card company and have them handle the refund of the transaction even though FTD said they would return my money. Bottom line is I don't trust them and there should be consequences for this unethical way of conducting business. There is just no excuse or justification for this type of negligence!

I placed an order of flowers to be delivered to my family for Valentine's Day. They were never delivered. I called twice on the 15th before an agent was able to tell me that the florist claimed the flowers were delivered at 1-ish on Valentine's Day (from reading through other complaints this appears to be their go-to lie). Since the flowers were going to my family I am rather confident that FTD is lying to me and not my own family. The agent said she would have them send out another bouquet (this is about 11:45am).
I receive an email about 2:45 saying that there was a problem and to call FTD customer service. I did, and Lucas tries to tell me that the florist's truck is already out so they can't fulfill my order. I ask to speak with a manager. He first tries to dissuade me from speaking to a manager but I kindly insist, saying I didn't think it was fair for him to have to deal with this problem. He comes back on the phone to tell me that the manager as stepped out. WHAAT!?
I am in management, I know for a fact that no reputable business would leave employees without a supervisor or manager present. I said as much, and explained that I wanted to speak to a manager. He pretended a couple more times to find a manager and then asked if he could put me on hold. He had me on hold for over thirty minutes. I hung up, called back. Got Lucas again. (What are the odds?) Hung up after Lucas blew me off again, tried to get to a manager through then place new order option. She tells me that she'll send me directly to a customer service manager. Nope, that's a lie. I get Jason, who also put me on hold for a ridiculous amount of time. So, not only am I out the full amount paid for these flowers (they seem to have no problem being quick in that department), but I am out flowers for my family and a lot of time that I can't get back. This business is AWFUL!!!

I was online and found ftd's website and they had the most gorgeous looking flowers! This was January 29th mind you so I carefully looked at each bouquet reading the details of each one making extra sure I didn't get the ones that came in a box but were 'hand delivered by a florist'. I figured I should know my husband by now after all these years and he's great at what he does but floral arranging is not his thing. Well guess what? Not only were they just thrown in a box and delivered late in the afternoon, they looked AWFUL! They looked like brown week old flowers and not only that a number of them were broken or bent. I was so mad I contacted ftd's right away after seeing the pictures of them. Of course I reached a foreigner because she couldn't speak good English and was hard to understand. She assured me that my husband's bouquet would be picked up by the florist and another one redelivered that day (2/12/16).
Remember now I placed this order back in January thinking I'd be ahead of the game. Not only did my husband NOT get his replacement flowers he also didn't get his balloon bunch ordered from ftd's either. When I called a third time and yes I got another foreigner I was told that they had just issued a refund instead. I was livid. I was on the phone with this man for over an hour trying to get all this straightened out. He said all he could do was resend the order the next Tuesday and that he couldn't find my order number for the balloons. This was after I asked to speak to a supervisor five times I kid you not!
I still don't know if I'll end up having to dispute the whole mess with PayPal or what's going to happen. My words of warning are BUYER BEWARE!!! If you want halfway decent looking flowers and are not handicapped like me and can't drive right now then get in your car and go to your local florist and order something. Not only will you be saving money by not paying online or at least ftd's exorbitant shipping/handling fees and taxes you'll be helping out your local economy. So for your sake and your loved ones do NOT buy from FTD! Now keep in mind this vase of pitiful looking flowers cost a grand total of 86.38 ALMOST ninety dollars for what amounts to junk.

After using their online service to create an order for flowers for my late mother's funeral, first while ordering the flowers you are not able to edit the number of items. So in my case I wanted 2 items of the same being that of a comfort planter. So I needed to create a separate order for each item, ok. It did total up the entire order and when I proceeded to the check out I needed to add the duplicate information for each item even though it was 1 order. The next day I received no less than 8 calls from their customer service center, where it was extremely difficult to understand what they were asking (language barrier).
After the first call in which I explained that I wanted both orders and it was not a mistake nor an error (Each line item was tagged with a separate order number). I was ensured that both orders would be processed and delivered on time. Shortly thereafter I was made aware that there were 4 voicemails from their customer service asking for a return call on the same order I thought had been resolved. After nearly 3.5 hours of no less than 4 separate operators I had made no progress and being told by 1 operator telling me the 2nd order had been canceled without my consent. The very next operator told me that it was not canceled but the address did not match the one on my confirmation sheet.
I requested to speak with a supervisor and was placed on hold and short time later the same operator come back on and advised me he could handle any concern that I had. I again requested to speak to a supervisor and again placed on hold. I contacted the funeral home to verify if they had been delivered and they have not. I called the customer service number again and chose option 2 for a delivery status and this was even more frustrating. The operator put me on hold to call the florist to check on the status. Within a few moments the operator returned to me thinking I was the florist. I requested the contact information for the florist so I could call and was advised they could not give me that information.
I called a local florist and they were an FTD florist and did have the plant I was looking for so I had to order from them. I called the FTD customer service and attempted to cancel the order which took again another round of frustration having to deal with the language barrier. I explained what I wanted and they said they needed to put me on hold in order to cancel the order. I asked why I needed to be placed on hold to cancel the order and I was told to process it. While I was on hold for the second time to cancel the order, I did not speak up in time and they disconnected me. I was then again forced to call back to verify the order was canceled. After my call was answered and having to deal with the language barrier again, I needed to repeat the information for my order, having to repeat several times as I have had to do on each call. I was to verify the order was finally canceled.
My experience with this whole ordeal was extremely frustrating to the point of being traumatizing. My mother had passed away and I was merely attempting to order flowers for her viewing and service. It should not have to be this difficult. I am already upset enough with the reason to order the flowers without the need for the additional stress. I hope you will publish this and contact FTD. I hope they take this seriously and listen to the recordings from my multiple phone calls. It was not pretty at all. It is unfortunate that FTD has hired a company for their customer service that cannot provide adequate operators. I had even asked one of the operators how much training did they receive before being thrown to the wolves. No reply.

When he asked for the last 4 digits of my credit card I had had enough and asked for a supervisor. I spoke with a woman, Charlie. (ID#**). Charlie first offered to send out new flowers. I said no. Then she offered a 30% discount. Again, I said no.
She then asked me to describe what the bouquet looked like that my aunt received. I offered to send a photo and she said it wasn't necessary. She put me on hold. Came back and asked what I wanted. I said a full refund. Charlie then said she would refund me the TOTAL AMOUNT. I'm supposed to get an email shortly with the refund info. I'm also going to call my credit card company and ask them to stop payment. The whole experience is totally not acceptable. Wish I had seen all these reviews before placing the order.

It was my Mom "80th" B-day and I order flowers. I was so excited for her to received the beautiful flowers I picked for her. I wanted to be with her but she lives out of the state. I made sure of the delivery date and they confirmed it would be possible to delivery on that date. I kept calling my dad, "Did she get the flowers?" and he said NO. At 5 PM I got so upset that I called FTD and found out that they were NOT able to delivery the flowers on the date they said, so I said, "Forget it. Cancel my order and refund my money." That was on 12/26/15 and to this date, I have NOT received a refund.
I call every week and get the same answer and nobody will transfer me to a supervisor. I feel like they are reading from a script and don't know how to get to the bottom of why they have not refunded my money. I'm sorry to say this, but half the time I cannot understand their accents. I was able to finally reach a supervisor and he apologized up and down and said he would personally take care of this for me and call me back. That was a week ago and still I have not received a phone call or a refund. I thought FTD was a reputable company and would wonder why they would hire out their consumer service.

Ordered beautiful arrangement of flowers. Pathetic arrangement delivered. Called customer service (in INDIA) and requested refund. They offered Re-delivery - I declined. They offered 10% refund - I declined. They offered 20% refund - I declined. They offered 30% refund - I declined. I requested full refund - they can't do that. They offered 40% refund & 20% coupon - I gave up and accepted. I'll never use FTD again because of their pathetic arrangements.

Absolutely horrible customer service! I called because ordered item was not sent correctly and had to deal with an inconsiderate Customer Service Representative that mocked me! Unbelievably disrespectful service. Will never order through FTD again but rather call the local florist to arrange something (support local). Also, they do not deliver on time... my order was delivered a day late. FTD you need some serious training in customer service all around. BUYER BEWARE - purchase at your own risk, you have been warned! I encourage you to READ REVIEWS.

Ordered and scheduled a flower delivery on Thursday for a funeral service on Saturday at 9 am. I get an email 11 minutes before the service starts that they are unable to find a florist in the area and can't deliver. This is extremely rude. I have no time whatsoever to find an alternate or let family know that our flowers won't arrive in time. They did manage to charge my credit card account immediately but fortunately refunded it as soon as I called and complained. How can I use a service that is unable to deliver but doesn't let a person know in time to make alternate arrangements?

I ordered a beautiful arrangement of flowers in a vase with a cross on it. What was delivered was a mass of green leaves and pods drooping pitifully over the vase, which was the only thing I recognized from my order. They will not even discuss the incident with me and I have sent the pictures to back up what I claim. It is a disgrace and I paid over 100.00 for this embarrassment!

If you don't have time and patience being on the phone with customers service, don't use FTD. I recently have 3 incidents within 3 weeks. I call quit now as I'm running out with patience on my valuable time. The people I spoke with is nice. The FTD ordering structure and management are really bad. I ordered online using Groupon. The email confirmation and order history on my account clearly indicates the order for $34.99 has $30 discount (from Groupon), and total charge to my Credit Card would be $4.99. My Credit Card shows $34.99 instead. After being on hold for at least 3 times and about 45 minutes, I was told from the supervisor that I need to deal with Groupon. They say the Groupon entered was expired. I asked why the system didn't declined, and why not any email from FTD to explain? They apologize and couldn't help further.
So I'm stuck having to deal with Groupon. I ended up canceling my order and give that business to someone else. I ordered flower to be delivered this last Christmas for Dec. 23rd. The flower never came. Customer Service said they can't find the florist to do the order, so they cancelled the order. They apologized for not notifying me, whatsoever; and offered a $10 discount on my next order; or have different type delivered after Christmas instead. After more than an hour on the phone, screaming and all, they finally agreed rushed the order (different type of arrangement) delivered the next day on December 24th.

I placed an order for my daughter's birthday. Flowers were to be delivered on her exact day to her office Monday, January 11. They were not delivered Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday. Each day I called customer service and each day they assured me it would be delivered the next day. On Tuesday I even requested they change florist because it seems the florist they used was not in business. No one from FTD could get a hold of this mysterious florist. Finally on Wednesday after screaming at them, they changed florist. So, the flowers are to be delivered (let's hope) ON THE FOLLOWING MONDAY. DO NOT USE FTD.

On Monday, January 4th, I ordered flowers from FTD to be delivered on January 9th for my cousin's 50th birthday. I only used FTD because of their relationship with Delta Airlines. On January 10th, I called FTD to determine why the flowers had not been delivered on January 9th, per our contract. I was told that the florist had rejected the order because he did not have the flowers that I wanted. Just so you understand, I called FTD, they did not call me. I have to wonder, why wasn't I called immediately and told that the flowers I wanted were not available? If I had been called on Monday, or even Tuesday, I would have picked other flowers for the arrangement. I told the FTD employee to send any flowers - I suggested red roses. I told her that I wanted a phone call once the flowers were delivered and that I would wait by the phone for her call.
After three hours I called FTD back. This time, I was told that they could not find a florist to deliver the flowers. Again, why did I have to call FTD??? Why didn't they call me??? The FTD agent said that he was going to send a message to a florist to re-order the flowers. I asked him how he could guarantee that the florist was present to receive the message. This question went over his head. He then suggested that they have flowers delivered on Monday by courier. Why can't the florist deliver the flowers on Monday??? How is FTD still in business???
I hope that Delta Airlines realizes how this reflects on them. The only reason that I ordered from FTD was to earn miles on my Delta Frequent Flier program. I can now understand the hundreds of complaints filed against FTD. Delta has worked so hard to improve their image. Do they really want to associate yourselves with a company that can best be described as incompetent??? Using FTD or picking your own dandelions from the side of the road, go with the dandelions.

Very expensive number 1! And I ordered some flowers for my mom's birthday! It arrived bright and early but when I received it, it looked nothing like the picture online and it wasn't full like the picture said it would be! The only thing that was right from the picture was the base! I wouldn't care if the flowers were for me but it's for my mom and that was just horrible and embarrassing! So I called and asked for my money back and they said they would come pick up the flowers the same day but didn't pick up until the next day! So I will be checking my account for my refund!

I was ripped off by FTD. First I didn't know my flowers were sent via airline from Atlanta to Portland. I thought a local florist made the arrangement. Second, the flowers arrived and were horrible. The daisies were in a net and when I took them out, they were moldy. The spray roses were wilted and never popped up even in water. For 39.99 I got a bouquet worth maybe 10.00 in the local market. And I never got the teddy bear I ordered.

I sent the largest "BEST" bountiful blooms to cheer a friend up. It was their largest bouquet, not the small or medium size. The flowers was not near the color or fullness from FTD's website. When I called customer service... of course they gave me the runaround. I insisted on sending them photos of the bouquet, all 3 agents gave me the incorrect email address. I am still waiting for the supervisor to call me back. They offered to discount my order by 10%. I declined it as it was not about the money, it was trying to cheer a friend up with a bright beautiful bouquet.

So disappointed as a first time user of ftd.com. First of all, they are so expensive. I ordered a simple bouquet in a vase... the cheapest version of the arrangement shown was $39.99. It was to have four roses in both light pink and dark pink as well as different colored stocks - which were the main reason why I ordered the arrangement because stocks smell so good. When the arrangement was delivered, it had 4 roses, all the same color, and NO STOCKS. Instead of stocks, I got plain 'ol carnations - those don't even smell! I know their site says that replacements may be made if the florist does not have the flower in stock but it would be nice to be told that - I could have ordered something else.
So after the item was delivered, I called FTD. The first guy I got was an idiot, and asked me what I wanted them to do rather than offering me a solution. Then I requested a credit. He said he could give me a $25 store credit. I said that's how much shipping costs alone and that I wouldn't be spending any more money. LOL! So he goes "Ok, hold on". Then next thing I know, he's hung up on me. I call back and speak to someone else and tell them the same story all over again. When I asked for a refund, I was given one. Both reps kept saying they could contact the florist to have them ship the desired flowers to me in a separate bouquet. HELLO! If they HAD the flowers in the first place they would have SENT them, ya think? I told them this and said I would like a refund instead.

For the past couple of years my wife and I have celebrated our New Year's Eve by exchanging some token of appreciation. This New Year's Eve was extremely important for us because I am in another country for work. On December 27th, 2015 at 6PM Central European Time, I made arrangements to have flowers delivered to my wife on DECEMBER 31st! On December 31st, the hours pass by and I wrote a text message to my wife asking "did you get my gift?" She replies, "No". It's 7 P.M. Central Time and I am attempting to stay calm, cool and collective because not only did I pay over $100 for flowers that she has yet to receive, but how is my wife going to feel with our tradition being ruined? I pick up the phone and call IMMEDIATELY. By the time I reach on a representative from customer service it's 7:27 P.M.
I explain to the guy that I am out the country and I placed a order Dec 27 for my wife to receive flowers on NYE. I explained that I received a CONFIRMATION EMAIL saying the flowers would be delivered on NYE. This representative had the audacity to tell me the local florist did not have my selection of flowers and I would have to choose a 2nd grade of flowers and they would have FedEx or UPS send them to my house ON ANOTHER DAY. I asked to talk to a supervisor.
Now it's 2:40 A.M. Central European Time where I am located and I have to wait another 20 minutes to talk to a supervisor. After patiently waiting, the supervisor says Sir the best thing they can do is ship flowers to my wife January 3rd, 2016 because it's company policy. IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR LOVED ONES DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!! IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR FIRST CLASS SERVICE DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!!! They have no sense of customer service or satisfaction. Absolutely disgusting.

I'm still steaming about the tiny arrangement that was sent to ‘granny’ which was obviously incorrect and embarrassing when I finally saw it. I immediately went out and bought her a nice arrangement to make up for the ridiculous thing she received. I made at least 5 phone calls to customer service and it was never made right. All they would do is refund 20 percent of my cost which did not make up for anything. I ordered the best arrangement which was supposed to be red carnations and white roses (no white carnations -- all white roses).
What she received was not even as nice as the cheapest one shown. If you looked close there were two white roses and the rest were carnations. There were supposed to be all white roses and NO CARNATIONS except for the red ones. But the worst part was that the flowers were the same height of the vase, and very tiny, about 5". This for $64.00? But this is fraud because it is not as the picture portrayed, not even close. The money is not the worse part. Trying to talk to people who barely speak English and keep lying to me about -- this is what you ordered -- "two roses" in the arrangement was the most frustrating. I don't see how you stay in business.

I ordered Christmas flowers to be delivered to my daughter in NC on December 21st, to be delivered on December 24th. On the 24th I received an email stating they wouldn't be delivered until the 29th. Christmas flowers delivered 5 days late - no excuse was provided. I responded by email and the automatic response I received said that they would look into it and get back to me - they never did. I called customer service today and they told me that those Christmas flowers were not on their website and were no longer available. No reason for the lack of a timely delivery in the first place or why they were not delivered on the 29th. When I spoke to a supervisor his response was to offer a $30 coupon - big deal! I will never use FTD again.
