The pro who came was great when he finally got here. I had 3 cancelations BY THE PRO, NOT ME. If you live in a rural area DO NOT BOTHER! I went thru our local Walmart and it was a total disaster! I do not doubt other pros are as good as the guy that finally came when I pitched a fit and told them to either come by the next day or forget it and I will do it myself. I had cleared the back patio of furniture and we had nowhere to sit.

We recently had our house exterior painted. We had 4 bids from various contractors. We chose Jay's Painting Service Ca License #812978. Jay and crew showed up as planned each day and got right to work. They did an excellent job and were very professional and easy to deal with. The cleanup was also excellent and we would highly recommend this company and will use again for future painting needs. Tim and Linda

Angie's List is old and outdated!! Whether you have a good review of that review they're just no better than Google. They can't distinguish between good or fake. Sad sad.. The only thing positive I'll see about them is they're not as bad as Yelp.

I was looking for a particular contractor and went to Angi's website. I entered my zip code and town, and spent time explaining the project with info a potential bidder would want. The website took me to a pre-filled form that allowed no editing, and required much more personal information that could allow Angi, or others, to steal my identity. After doing more research on Angi, I am concerned of what they are doing with customer's personal identity, and ALL of the info that is provided on their website, including the actual project info.

When asked about it I was told Walmart should give me the refund and I talk to someone else from Angi and they said they do the refunds. So at this point they stole my money. Beware of this company.

I purchased a kitchen faucet from Lowe’s on 07/17/25 and Lowe's contacted Angi to install it. Lowe’s advised me that someone would contact me within 48 hours but that never happened. I received several emails from Angi and they originally advised me the faucet would be replaced first thing Today 7/24 but No One ever called me. I then received another email stating they would be here at 6:00pm but they were a NO SHOW. I called Angi’s customer service around 6:15 and they gave me the plumber's phone number. When I called them around 6:20 I was told his business had not done business with Angi in years…
I communicated with 4 different customer service representatives at Angi and they were clueless but one did Thank me for letting them know that this plumber hasn’t done business with them in years. I am going to Lowe’s in the morning to get a refund on this disaster as we have not been able to use our kitchen sink in a week. In case a representative from Angi sees this my Booking ID #**. I will seek a reputable company to replace my kitchen faucet…. I have also attached a copy of my Lowe’s receipt.

I would never recommend or use this service. We purchased a couch through Wayfair and Added the assembly fee. Wayfair contracts through Angi. Not only did Angi change the assembly date or time 3 times, but they also only notified us of this 2 hours before these schedules dates and then only through email. When I tried to call to complain I was left on hold for over an hour and never did get a representative, even though their automated message kept saying they would be with me in one to two minutes. Going through Angi is like playing Russian roulette, even if you win you lose. Good luck if you use them. I have deleted the app and will hire my own professional from now on. This way I know I can get what I need.

As a business owner, we end up paying for dead end leads that never respond to any form of communication. If we do get a reaponse, it's within 5 min of them submitting a request for service, and even then we, the business has to pay a lage amount just some details on a screen without any form of actual contact. We suspect fraud with fake leads because it's repetitive on 99% of the automated leads they send. Run, RUN FAR, FAR AWAY, unless you like throwing money away.

We helped them Angi. Put us on beautiful leads and beautiful family. God bless you Angie. God bless you. All your customer service. For helping me and my family. Give us hope and love. If you hire someone that is coming to your house to do their part, that's not Angi responsibility. The people who come to your house have to do the job well done. If you don't like the person just hire one time and try again until you've got the right person but it's not Angi responsibility. They just put a ad for each business, they have to represent themselves. Well, like Angi does for us. Angi customers and all live in My heart and my soul. God bless.

They have the worst support I've ever seen for the actual professionals using the app... Can't talk to a person, can't get more than predesigned responses... I texted a request for a phone number or person who might be able to help in my situation (no aggressive or strong language) and I was blocked from the chat (no agents are available try back later...). They offer quests which are bonuses if you do a certain number of jobs that qualify for the bonus... I did my limit and it did not register. I chose the jobs because they qualified for the bonus now they are saying I only did 2 qualifying jobs... I know how to use the app and choose jobs... Very frustrating!
Their pay rate is paltry and their job descriptions are terrible. Yesterday I was given 1.5 hours to build an arbor... First of all it required footings (digging 6 - 3 foot holes, putting concrete and building the thing way more than 1.5 hours), they charged the customer $114, paid me $34.50... I know they are finding the leads and handle all the technical details so I don't want 80% but 30% is ridiculous. Uber is 60%... I've tried to communicate with them... Maybe this will get some attention.

This company is a scam. I was interested in picking up side jobs and made the mistake of sharing information with them after clicking on an ad. During the initial pitch it was clear this is only set up to make them money - they want you to buy an expensive list of "leads" in your area. After reading reviews it seemed most contractors found these leads to be dead ends, either not qualified, interested in having the work done, or already completed the project. Despite telling them I was not interested, they began calling RELENTLESSLY from different numbers, multiple times a week, trying to sell me on this.
Every time I told them take me off the call list and blocked the number they used. They continued to call multiple times a week and the operators were often quite rude, asking me why I didn't want to make more money and telling me the "hangup" was on my end. I have never dealt with such rude and pushy people after I clearly asked them to leave me alone. NEVER share your info with them, NEVER hire anyone you found on their site, and NEVER do business with them!

I paid for an installation through Wayfair that went through Angi. They scheduled and cancelled 3 different installation appointments. The bad part is that they waited to cancel these appointments less than 2 hours before the scheduled times. They wasted 3 days of mine setting aside my day for these appointments. Then on third appointment day, same thing, cancelled less than 2 hrs before scheduled with a message saying they weren't able to find any installers in my area. They need to pay for the 3 days I arranged time of work for these appointments. It is poor business of them to cancel less than 2 hours the day of the appointment. They need to do more than refund the service, they need to compensate for the 3 days of work taken off for these appointments. Sad that wayfair has them listed as their paid installation service on their website.

Angi is not an honest platform where consumer can rely on to find workers to do jobs. Angi minupilates the scores of the paying members to reflect higher scores and 5 starts when it is not true. Angi has a habit to remove the genuine negative reviews posted for their members and to encourage the fake positive reviews as long the members are paying their monthly membership to Angi. It didn't matter if I gave away the service for free, no consumer was actually willing to go forward with the project. I spent hours every day talking to consumers and sending out estimates, and driving to customers houses to look at their jobs, only to never hear back from them. I was available immediately, I have a very professional appearance, and I kept on lowering my prices because I wasn't getting these jobs, and no matter how much I lowered my prices I still wasn't winning any jobs through Angi. The worst part is that when I wanted to cancel my service they informed me that I was locked in for 12 months and then I owed them over $2000 to cancel my service. Angi service wanted to charge $472 for the service. But I never got a 24 hr notification for this day. He wasn't able to do my work upon coming here and looking it over. I went on app tried to find # for angi and speak with someone about all this inconvenience and stuff, tried to CANCEL my membership! And service for project. If I could give negative stars, I would. My experience with Angi Ads has been nothing short of a nightmare. Their customer service is not just poor — it's non-existent. Once they have your money, you’re on your own. Trying to reach a competent representative feels like chasing a ghost. Emails go unanswered, and phone calls are either routed endlessly or dropped. When you do manage to speak with someone, you're met with vague answers, deflection, or scripted apologies that lead absolutely nowhere.
What makes it worse is their billing practices. I was charged for leads that were completely irrelevant to my business — some from hundreds of miles away, others with fake numbers or people who had never heard of Angi. When I disputed these charges, I was met with stonewalling and outright refusal to take responsibility. No resolution, no refund, no accountability.
This is not a partner in marketing — it's a parasitic platform that preys on small businesses. They promise exposure and qualified leads but deliver frustration and financial loss. You’ll spend more time fighting with their support team (if you can find them) than actually growing your business. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of Angi Ads. There are far better ways to spend your advertising dollars — ones that don’t involve being ignored, overcharged, and disrespected.

We’ve been in our new home for one year. While we love the house, we would not choose to work with Cypress Homes of Appleton, WI again, given their lack of responsiveness over the past year. We were initially drawn to Cypress by the high quality of their work. Cypress Homes has developed an effective system that minimizes the typical problems and mistakes that are common in the homebuilding process. We worked with Josh, who was truly exceptional. We appreciated how responsive he was to our questions and concerns. He worked really hard to get us the home we wanted for our unique lot.
The frustrations began when we transitioned from sales to project management. I was on site more frequently than the project manager was. I saw first hand the lack of communication between the crews and the project manager. I fielded questions from every subcontractor team that prevented mistakes in layout, finishing, design, and other important decisions that matter to every homeowner. The project manager rarely responded to questions, and when he did, it was often with inaccurate or misleading information.
The months of poor communication continued right up to the final walk through. It was visible that the excavator did not do a proper job of grading on three sides of our house. The Contract Specifications state, “The grader will slope the terrain to provide drainage away from the foundation…The finished grade of the soil shall slope away from the dwelling at a rate of at least ½” per foot for a minimum distance of 10’...” In multiple spots, the grade actually slopes toward the house and the foundation by about five inches, leading to standing water against the foundation.
It’s been an entire year of calling and emailing, and Cypress has still not met the contract language. Initially, I repeatedly emailed, called, and texted Dave about this problem. He never responded. I spent thousands of dollars fixing the drainage problem myself on two sides of the house shortly after we moved in. Because the house is under a one-year warranty, I expected to work with the office staff this spring to resolve the remaining issue on one side of our home. I was right to be concerned. Thawing snow and early spring rain quickly revealed the sloping grade toward the house. Water pooled against the foundation, leading our sump pump to cycle every two minutes for more than a week.
For more than three months, I have emailed and called to explain the issue and seek resolution. The lack of response has been stunning. One year after we moved in, the issue is unresolved. Final recommendation: If you want a quality new home, Cypress Homes will likely deliver. But if you want a quality new home and seek a positive building experience (contract upheld, professional and timely communication, etc.), take your business elsewhere.

The refrigerator section of my SubZero refrigerator is not cooling. I requested a certified SubZero repair person through Angi. I was contacted by Atomic Tech stating they were certified so I scheduled an appointment for a diagnostic. When the tech arrived, the first thing he did was collect the $150 fee, which I thought was a little strange. He had no diagnostic tools only a cell phone which he used to take and send pictures to someone. He said he saw an ice ball on the evaporator coil and no frost pattern, indicating a leak or restriction in the system but had no idea what repairs were necessary, and that someone from the office would contact me with an estimate for repairs. He then proceeded to wash his hands in my kitchen sink and dry them with my dish towel, until I stopped him.
I was totally dissatisfied and contacted the office immediately. A gentleman returned my call stating he was the supervisor and that the pictures were being sent to him for evaluation because there are so few technicians qualified to work on that type of refrigerator. Though all systems are separate and the freezer is working just fine he said everything needed to be replaced based on a visual inspection of pictures provided by his on site tech. He sent me an estimate for $4894.76.
This company is a rip off and total waste of your money. I later found out they are not certified SubZero technicians. Angi making you sign a contract for 1 year. I'm just lucky I chose a budget $300 per month, a minimum budget available. And what you get? Customers don't even respond to any messages and calls, you getting just a ghost leads. As I got it later, when customer choose one pro, Angi send that lead to that pro and also to up to 5 other pros, so it's confusing for customer, because he doesn't expect any other calls and messages except the only one pro he chose. So other pros start calling to the customer and everyone gets disappointed: pros getting unresponsive cold lead who doesn't interested in their calls and the customer gets a lot of unexpected and unwanted calls. This is confusing everybody.
And I worked with Angi about 8 months and during that time I did only 3 jobs from that platform. In that time I worked with other platforms and I got a lot of very good customers from those, but not from Angi. Angi always was worst compare to other platforms. And that point you decide to break up with Angi, but it's not that easy. You have to pay early cancellation fee 30% of the remaining amount in contract on that moment. For 8 months working with Angi I did just a 3 jobs from that platform. I spent $2,533 for Angi Ads and earned $1,240. So it's -$1,293 of losses, not including a time I spent to call and messaging those ghost leads, to perform a jobs, not including a gas I spent and tolls I paid to travel to the customers. Rather than taking a “how can we make this right” approach to the situation, he had a confrontational demeaner and took the attitude that the damper that was not working was old and probably stopped working while the tech was there.
I felt this was too much of a coincidence to be the case. Rather than arranging for a return trip from one of their repair people, he said I would have to pay the service fee and it would be waived if they were actually at fault. I encouraged him to at least look at the control panel to see if any wires were dislodged, he showed me that there were two loose wires, but in his opinion, they may have been there from some previous repair and probably did nothing. Since these wires were the source of the problem, my only assumption is that the owner does not understand how these control boards work, otherwise he would have seen that this was the problem and corrected it. I went ahead and set up an appointment for a tech to come to the house and while on the way over, the owner called me to tell me he would not come unless I immediately paid the invoice. I told him I planned to pay while he was at my house.
He obviously didn’t trust me and demanded payment. I felt over a barrel and paid as demanded. I felt like I was being treated like a crook! Not the way to foster customer loyalty! Unsurprisingly, the tech came and quickly realized that the first tech that came to the house had disconnected the damper (hence the two unattached wires at the box that the owner noticed) and all that needed to be done was reconnect them. Guess what? All three vents now worked fine. I think the owner should run his business and avoid dealing with customers. His tech people are fantastic, but he definitely has a very unfriendly attitude towards his customers. He is not doing his company any favors by treating clients like crooks!!

This is the first time I had ever tried to use Angi, It will also be the last. I believe this to be a total scam. These are not vetted contractors. They charge so much money and then give the individual so little money to perform the work that only fat cats are getting rich customers don't get what they're looking for and the workers don't make any money. They should be investigated for being con artists. This is nothing like it is represented to be. I had a contractor and I use the term very loosely, come to my home ill prepared, without tools, without parts, and no expertise in the field that they said he would help me with. I'm being somewhat generic in my remarks coz I don't want to throw the individual under the bus. I don't fault them, I fault the company that told me that they were sending a "pro" to perform the service. I would have had just as much luck picking someone up off the street.
Nothing got done. It was a complete waste of my time and sadly the time of the individual that came to my home. I felt bad because they didn't even have transportation. They have to take Lyft to get to my home. 20 minutes later I just drove them home because I felt bad for them. The only good thing I can say about this organization is that when I called after much ado I was able to get a full refund. That by the way took a lot of effort, nonetheless I do give them credit for that.

I hired a company off Angie’s List in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The company had really good ratings. They came to my house, we reviewed the project (a wall separating 1 and 1/2 small bathrooms and flooring replacement). The 2 bathrooms are less than 150 feet total. They seemed on point with the work being done. I hired them for probably a week’s worth of work and that’s stretching it. One year later, the work was so bad and not complete. This was after one redo/corrected fix already. I am hiring another company to redo the job. These contractors pay Angi money to advertise on the website. The ratings they have, at least for Chattanooga are not reliable. These people just want money and do not care about the work they produce.

I purchased a Daybed via Wayfair. Was then set up with Angi. Based on Wayfair I made the assumption that this was a reputable co. I was mistaken. On May 31st Angi was scheduled for 10 AM to install my 90 year old mom's daybed. As we were waiting I decided to check my email. I received an email at 9:46 AM saying the person was here. I got this message @ 9:52 AM. I replied immediately as well as went to the lobby of my moms building to let this person in. Long gone. He waited maybe 6 or 7 minutes. Keep in mind he was not scheduled until 10AM. Either way, we would have been happy to have him arrive early.
This appt had been scheduled with a rep named Cece. She read all the information about my moms address back to me followed by a confirmation email. She was given all of the correct information, buzzer and apt # as confirmed by the email. As well I got a phone call on my home # at the same 9:46 time stating he was there and the phone # left was one in which you could not leave a message. I messaged Angi so many times I could not count but no one got back to me. I waited 45 minutes to get a rep on the phone that repeatedly told me he understood how I feel but did nothing to help. After about an hour of repeated conversations he said that someone would come on Sunday @ 8AM.
What is important here besides all of this is my mom is immobile. We paid someone to move out all her furniture the night before. She now had now where to sleep. She had no couch nor a bed. Her apt was filled with large boxes totaling 200 lbs. and no resolution in sight. The rep knew all of this and just kept saying I understand how you feel. I later talked to Wayfair and they advised that Angi did not schedule an appt for Sunday. We then had to borrow a couch from neighbors in the building lift and move all of this stuff back again as we had gotten rid of her old couch. Angi did not care about the inconvenience. What this situation did to my mother or the stress and expense that this cause me. I also had to close my business. I lost customers and income as well as being completely and totally stressed to have my 90 year old mom left in this circumstance.
Angi sent there stand email about service and how could they make this better. Once they got my response NO REPLY. No resolutions and simply could care less. This is very serious as the installer took off before the scheduled time given zero thought or consideration for the situation he was going into. Angi has no right to be in business offering this terrible service to anyone. Further it is disappointing that Wayfair is using Angi at all. The outcome of this was abuse to a senior citizen. No one has followed up. I have the emails that back everything I have said. These emails confirmed proper address etc. Angi you have no right to treat others in this way and in particular my 90 year old mother that simply needed a bed. Shame on you!!!!

As the owner of a small, licensed junk removal business in Knoxville, TN, I signed up with Angi Leads in April 2025 based on their promises of quality, high-intent customer leads. The contract was for a 12-month subscription at $350 every 28 days, with an estimated 23–38 leads per billing cycle. Unfortunately, the experience has been deeply disappointing. Out of the 34 leads I received, only 6 turned into actual jobs. The vast majority were either unreachable, not interested, or surprised to be contacted—suggesting these were not true service requests. Many never answered calls or texts at all, wasting valuable time and resources. When I attempted to cancel due to the poor quality of the leads, Angi insisted on enforcing a 35% early termination fee on the remaining contract — despite their failure to deliver usable or productive leads. This feels predatory, especially for small businesses trying to grow and stay afloat.
I am now disputing charges with my bank and documenting everything. I urge other small businesses to be cautious before signing up with Angi. The quality of service does not match the marketing promises, and the cancellation terms are aggressive and rigid. I hope Angi re-evaluates how it handles service quality and treats its business clients with fairness.

I feel obligated to share my experience with Angi to help others avoid the nightmare I’ve endured. In short, Angi arranged for a so-called “professional” to mount my TV — it fell off the wall three hours later. One week later, Angi still has not fixed the issue, issued a refund, or shown any semblance of care or accountability. Here are the full details: My original appointment was scheduled for a Saturday. The assigned “professional” texted after the scheduled time to say he would be an hour late, then showed up 1.5 hours late. He mounted the TV, and despite the poor experience, I tipped him $20 in cash out of courtesy. Three hours later, the TV fell completely off the wall.
I immediately texted him — no response. I contacted Angi support, and they informed me that their normal repair scheduling window is 48 hours — completely missing the urgency of the situation. When I asked if it was normal for a TV to fall off the wall hours after installation, they simply repeated their canned response. I requested a supervisor multiple times and was told supervisors were "not available," "do not have phones," and "would call me later" — a call I never received. I asked for a full refund, including the tip. They refused, citing that tips are "discretionary" even though Angi actively solicits tips through their platform.
On Monday, after still hearing nothing, I called again. My only option was to rebook another "professional" to fix the original disaster. The second installer scheduled for Tuesday canceled, asked me to pay him directly outside of Angi for a lower rate (completely unethical), and left me again with no resolution. I tried to reschedule for Friday — yet again, the installer canceled, citing rain as the reason for not being able to mount an indoor TV. Multiple promises from Angi that a supervisor would call me back have gone completely unfulfilled.
It has now been over a week with a TV hanging off my wall, $220 stolen, and zero resolution. Every interaction with Angi has been a frustrating runaround with no accountability, no urgency, and no leadership willing to step in and make things right. Angi, if you are reading this: Why has it been acceptable to ignore a serious service failure, leave a customer with damaged property, and keep my money? To everyone else: Avoid Angi at all costs. They are disorganized, unresponsive, and operate in a way that shows no respect for the customers they claim to serve.

I am only writing this review so customers understand how Angi treats the contractors on their site. I canceled mine due to leads being sent to multiple contractors and being very expensive $50-$100. Then they will send leads that have nothing to do with your company and even once they credit it back will not give your money back. I just got off the phone with one of their reps who was trying to get me to get back on their service. I told them I wanted it completely canceled and she said, "There is a credit on your account." I said I didn't want to have anything to do with the company and would prefer a refund for my credit. She said the credit stays on my account which only means they keep it. All this does is raise the rates you are paying more for any contractor you find on Angi then you would if you found someone another way. Stay far away from this company!!!

Angi, is a horrible vendor. Unfortunately, I've had to use their services for furniture assembly through Wayfair. I was scheduled twice in a week for assembly, yet the "pros" failed to show or call. ANGI, was culpable as well. No courtesy calls saying there was a conflict or to reschedule. I filed a BBB complaint against ANGI and recieved an email from a customer service rep at ANGI.
Having said that, several customer service reps have accused my third pro, who showed up on the third appointment, and did a great job. Now, I need to submit another form for a refund ANGI offered. I'm continuing my complaint. I urge you, DO NOT HIRE through ANGI. Pros in the past told me ANGI is a horrible vendor. Wayfair is fed up. I was told they are hiring in-house folks to replace ANGI. Until that happens, I won't continue my business with them. Or any other business. Buyer beware!

I ordered a desk from Walmart and had the option to utilize Angi to build the desk. The price was reasonable, so I gave it a shot. I was shocked at how terrible this company is for such a simple project. I had multiple handymen either not show up, or cancel shortly before the appointment. In 2 instances, Angi did not even notify me that the handyman canceled, and Angi just reassigned me to a new handyman with no notification. The issue in those instances was that Angi assigned me to a handyman with atrocious reviews, someone who I was not comfortable with conducting this work in my apartment. I reached out to Angi's support to try and address my issues and get a decent handyman scheduled, however, Angi outsources all of their support offshore and they all work off scripts and have no authority/ability to actually address any issues.
I tried to get a supervisor to assist, and while their offshore support staff said they put in tickets for a supervisor to call me, I was never able to get in touch with one. After several calls with their offshore support team, several handymen canceling, and no traction with getting a handyman with decent reviews assigned to my booking, I gave up and just canceled. Using Angi was a massive waste of time and energy. The customer service was atrocious. Historically, I have used Task Rabbit, and they have always been great. I would recommend using them instead. They bombarded me with calls all last year, when they called me in January I decided to see what they had to offer. What they have to offer is nothing but incompetence and unprofessionalism. When signing up I was very explicit that they were not to bill me until February or there would be no contract. They didn't even wait a week before starting the contract. I told them they violated the agreement, so we were done. They offered me a deal to entice me to stay, which I accepted on the condition that they don't lie to me again.
In that conversation they told me someone would be calling me that week for the app orientation call, which was another lie. Weird how they only ever called me to do their job when I emailed the salesman who contacted me telling them the deal was off. They are lazy and incompetent, they do not keep their deals, they have no internal communication so anything you say to them just gets lost in the ether. This company is nothing but a scam through and through, and even after cancelling and emailing them multiple times to stop giving me leads they're STILL sending me leads calls. Angi is a fraud and scam. They offered assembly of the product thru Wayfair. The product came and I eventually had to put it together myself. I did not have time but they cost a lot more time, money, inconvenience and I still have to put it together myself. Angi called and emailed the first time to schedule one New Year’s Day early in the morning. No show and reschedule to next day. Next day no show. I had to load their app, set up an account and figure that they rescheduled a third time. The third time they were supposed to be there no show. I got on app again to see what happened. Their “pro”(what a joke) had a non working phone number in their app. Claimed he was in my driveway and left a message in the app but did not bother to call my number like a normal person. He said assembly complete. Wayfair would not help me get my money back. They referred me to Angi then Angi sent me back to Way fair.
Neither were helpful at all. Just continued wasting my time thru online support, emails, and calls for several days. They are not afraid to take your money and not provide the service. Most people consider this stealing. Probably a lot better of not dealing with dishonest companies like Angi. I made time to put it together which took far less time than dealing with all their hassle and I got nothing but costing me money and time. I am done trying to get them to do the right thing thru customer support. Also they take 3 to 5 weeks to get your money back. Essentially, they masquerade as a bunch of small businesses who are "the best" in their areas (e.g., "Powell and Sons"). None of these businesses are real and all they do is collect the information of people reaching out to these businesses and sell that information to a large number of contractors. These window shoppers usually don't really want anything at all and we have to pay through the nose for these clients. Since these clients were tricked into having their information divulged, they are all angry at the contractors and don't normally want anything quoted at all. Feedback on My Angi Experience. December 23, 2024: We were scheduled for furniture assembly between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM. The assigned professional did not contact me until 10:37 AM to inform me he was running late and asked if he could come in the afternoon. I agreed. Despite waiting until 3:30 PM and sending multiple text messages with no response, I eventually called him several times before he finally answered. He explained that his car had broken down earlier in the day and that he would not be able to come. He offered to reschedule for 2:00 PM the next day, and I agreed. I also contacted Angi customer service, and they scheduled a backup assembly for December 25, 2024, in case he failed to show up again.
December 24, 2024: The professional did not show up as scheduled at 2:00 PM. No call, no text, no explanation. December 25, 2024: The appointment was scheduled for 5:00 PM. The professional arrived and immediately informed me that it would be impossible to assemble both the queen bed and wardrobe in 1.5 hours. I requested that he at least assemble the bed, and he agreed. Unfortunately, after spending 1.5 hours, he merely opened both furniture boxes but did not assemble anything. I have photographic evidence of this. While on the job, he attempted to promote his own business by giving me his personal business card—an unprofessional and unacceptable practice during an Angi assignment. I called Angi to report this incident, and they scheduled another assembly for December 27, 2024, at 1:00 PM. By this point, I had lost faith in Angi and requested a refund for the assembly service directly from Wayfair.
Overall Experience: Angi’s customer service has been extremely disappointing. The call center representatives, located in India, faced significant communication and language barriers, which made it difficult to resolve my concerns. When I asked to speak with a manager or team lead, I was told there was no one available, and someone would call me back within 48 hours—a completely unacceptable response. Angi’s strategy of hiring unvetted individuals as "professionals" is not working. These individuals lack professionalism, punctuality, and the skills required to complete their jobs.
Conclusion: This experience has been incredibly frustrating and reflects poorly on Angi’s service standards. I expected a reliable and professional service but instead encountered repeated failures, unprofessional behavior, and inadequate customer support. I will not be using Angi’s services again and will advise others to exercise caution when considering their platform.

I would not recommend this service regardless of what project you are needing. This is an app platform based company. It's a great business module however, the technology is severely outdated. The app only works well if everything goes smoothly. You need to prepare for at least 2 hours if you need to contact customer support.
I bought outdoor Govee lights from Sam's Club and also ordered installation through Sam's Club. This was a Christmas gift for my son and grandchildren. Sounds great, yes? Boy was I wrong. My initial date had an error with the address. I tried to contact the pro and Angi. After no response, I cancelled so I could start over. My cancellation went through but I was told I had a "credit". You can't reschedule through Angi's if you purchase through Sam's Club. It took me hours to actually speak to someone that would give me a refund (which, by the way is Sam's policy).
My next date was to start at 7:00 pm. I sent the pro a chat message at 7:15. I called at 7:30. I gave up at 8:00 and sent a message through a chat feature on Angi's webpage. I reported an issue with the pro. He then responded that he wasn't coming and advised me to reschedule through the app. Well, rescheduling through the app isn't available. More hours were spent getting this rescheduled.
My third date arrived. The pro showed up and had what essentially is a stepladder. A stepladder for installing permanent outdoor Govee lights. The pro told my son that the project description was wrong. He normally works on fencing. He also admitted that he did not like Angi either and this type of error wasn't uncommon. I attempted to chat yet again to request a refund. I spoke to someone three times and all three explained that they couldn't help me so were transferring. The transfers never went through. I waited over 15 minutes just in case, but nothing. Now keep in mind, when I chatted to reschedule, the transfers worked. Chatting to process a refund failed three times. So, now I'm forced to call. Each time I've called, the wait time is 70+ minutes.
My perception of this company is that their technology has not updated since inception in 2016. They outsource their support call center and chat. The outsource company appears to only have limited people assigned to this company. Company in the red trying to reduce overhead or just grossly mismanaged is a mystery. Either way, it's not a company I would ever use again. On a totally separate note. I realize how much protection I had because I ordered through Sam's Club. I would have lost money if I had ordered directly through Angi.

Recently, I sought proposals to remove an existing double driveway and area sidewalks and to replace them with concrete. I received two responses, to which the estimates were far apart, both in cost and detail. I selected Taylormade Concrete because the company owner, Damian Taylor, had promptly responded, visited the site, took measurements and noted that existing paving had badly sunk due to major soil subsidence. He would need to order soil to fill the areas before concrete could be poured.
Shortly thereafter, Mr. Taylor sent an estimate for my review. Unlike the previous estimate, Mr. Taylor provided a detailed “scope of work,” which the other company had not listed until I requested the details. Not only did Mr. Taylor list the scope, he also listed the measurements and total cost of each section that would be replaced. His attention to detail in providing the proposal was also reflected in the workmanship that he and his workers provided on the job. As a response to his five-star completion of this project, I plan to contract Taylormade Concrete for additional work. I believe adding Taylormade Concrete to Angi’s List for the New Orleans, LA area will provide an outstanding company whose work reflects top professional attention to detail at reasonable costs.

We had a very frustrating experience with Angie’s. We contacted their support team two hours before our scheduled appointment time because we hadn’t heard from the pro assigned to our job. We had already moved all of our furniture out of the living room in preparation for the sectional setup. When we reached out, the representative assured us that someone would still be arriving at the arranged time of 7:30 PM and there was nothing to worry about.
However, just 12 minutes before the appointment, we received an email stating that the pro couldn’t make it and that our new appointment would be in 5 days to complete the setup. This lack of communication and last-minute cancellation was extremely inconvenient, especially after we had already gone through the trouble of preparing the space. We expected much better service and professionalism.

I ordered a entertainment center from Wayfair and opted to have Angie put it together as we were moving into a new home and I had so many other things to do. The unit consisted of 3 pieces and a team (2) arrived promptly and began work. They finished 2 of the pieces and told me they had to leave as they had another appointment but would come back and finish. They texted me that they were on their way, but never arrived. I texted them, got no answer, and even called finding I was blocked? I tried again the next day and got nothing. I started looking at what it would take to finish the assembly myself and found that the shelves in the large center cabinet were not level.
After investigating further I discovered that the center vertical panel was installed upside down so the shelf holes did not line up. To correct it I would have to remove the backboard which was nailed which would undoubtedly destroy it. I called Wayfair and spoke with their supplier who sent me a new backboard so I could correct the problem. As I disassembled the piece I further discovered that the assembly team had realized their mistake as they had also bypassed using the preinstalled holes, which also didn't align properly, for the door hinges and had drilled their own. In other words, they knew that to correct their mistake they would have to destroy the backboard but rather than admit to it, they decided to just run. I've tried going through Angie for a refund but have gotten nowhere as they have been completely unhelpful. I would not recommend them to anyone.

It was one of the best services that I have been provided; he listened to what I wanted to be done, he walked around and evaluated the house with me. He suggested and provided the list of what must need to be done.
Remove and dispose of existing siding, corner boards and vapor barrier. Inspect existing wall surface, hammer down any loose boards. Apply HydroGap drainable house wrap with regular galvanize hammer tacker 3/8 staples. Apply Quad Max white caulking in all required areas. Install Hardie plank with stainless steel ring shank nails. Install all hardie or custom cedar blocks. Face nail Hardie plank where it needs and caulk face nail heads with quad max caulk. Face nail all butt joints and caulk to make sure no open gap near joints. Prime exposed joint cuts. Install straight style James Hardie Primed HZ10 Fiber Cement Cedarmill Shingle Siding Panel 48-in x 15.25-in on both front gables. Replace up to 10 pieces of new CDX plywood sheathing if needed. Replace all front decorative corbels.
Propose a new modern look. Add a metal cap flashing on both decorative corbels. Replace all garage trim, flash with drywall. (Drywall work not included)Replace trim on the front door. Install a special metal cap or similar system on the front roof window. Adjust the crawl space door to fit new trim on the sides and top. Front post concrete are wrap with ss-L flashings. Replace back porch flashing (roof to wall flashing). Repair one side bottom rail on the back deck (Painting not included for deck floors and rails). Replace up to 6 window screen meshes. Interior window sill complete scrape and paint if it is solid wood. Completely new gutters and downspouts. Back post and beam replacing.
He is knowledgeable, professional, efficient, and such an easy person to talk to as well. In addition, he gave me suggestions and advice, and did a better job than I could ever have expected out of a siding, gutters, painting of whole house, beam and post under the porch roof replacing. I had an drainage issue in the front windows of the house and he fixed it. He guarantees his work, and doesn’t leave the job until done. Best experience ever! This was not discussed ahead of time. I think the team leader was a guy (I think his name was Luis). I asked them to be careful with a particular antique table item and they ignored me. He recommended that I do it myself with friends and family. So the clothes got left. Then when I got to my new apartment (house) I was rushed to pay and one of the other movers KEPT ASKING FOR MY TELEPHONE NUMBER. Afterwards, I sent an email to Brian (the manager) about the problems, he apologized and said that he would fix it. I told him to come back on Saturday and we scheduled an appointment. He called me at 12pm, back after 15 phone calls and said that he couldn't find anybody. By then, I had been waiting for the movers for almost an hour to come. My lease was up on Saturday. Then I asked him to come on Sunday and he said "no".

Sunday came around and thank God that I worked something out where I could finish with friends and family before 12. Because 12pm was too late. It took 3 cars and 2 trips to get all of my stuff from the apartment. Some saintly neighbors came to help me. I then asked the manager/Brian for a reimbursement. I'm Refusing to Deal with the Company Angi Again Work is incomplete Rescheduling of Appointment I'm Done Damage to My Countertop And he never Returned. No More. Now I'm coming out the pocket because I thought Angie's was honest. They honestly took my money, which cost me more to fix the damage they've left. water was leaking because it wasn't sealed and they left without the job being completed. First set of pictures is the incomplete work and damages. I had to call a professional license company to fix my kitchen sink $1000.00. Never again will I ever trust Angie's again.

I used this service to mount a tv. The tv was mounted slightly crooked, about 20” higher than requested, and the mount is not screwed all the way into the wall on one side causing a gap between the wall and the mount (see photo). They scheduled a 2nd tech to come out and adjust the mount but have canceled twice, 30 minutes before the scheduled appointment. I had to take off work on both occasions which at this point has cost me more than the service charge itself. No resolution except to schedule a fourth appointment. I asked for a refund, but they refused to refund the service charge for a service they have not completed. This service is extremely frustrating and wish I had not used them. Total waste of time and money.

This Electrician was paid to put in 5 new electrical lines and connect them to circuit breakers. But instead, he connected the new lines into existing lines. This caused an overload on one of the lines, burning it out.

On June 18th my water heater messed up. Didn't have water so I contacted Angi. One couldn't come out and John from A clean water company called me and said he could put a water heater in that day. I said ok. I had to pay 925.00 upfront so I did and he never showed up. I kept contacting him and he kept telling me he was getting the water heater. By 6:30 he still wasn't at my house. I told him to forget it and give me my money back. I called Angi and they won't do anything about it. I begged John to give me my money back. My husband was dying from mrsa. He didn't care. My husband died on July 11th and I really needed my money. All he has done was lie to me all along. This guy John and his company are thieves and Angi isn't any better.

I went to Angie's List thinking that they at least do due diligence to weed out the predators out there--boy was I wrong! Hired a cleaning company thru Angie's to do a deep clean before guests arrived and not only did nothing get done, my $200 deposit is now gone. Turns out the cleaning company changes their name and platform they operate out of frequently which I found myself with a tiny bit of digging. Shame on Angie's for not doing the same to protect their clients!

The roofing or general contractors Angi sent us were either not interested in the small jobs we advertised, or wanted a ton of money for them to make it worth their while, or they were unlicensed, although its site promises all have the necessary licenses. California doesn't license handymen, which is what they sent. To get a "better price" we signed up for $29.99 per year, which is another waste of money. And I didn't get a copy of what I signed. Then, because we cancelled on Friday, the day we agreed to him and then found out he wasn't licensed, and he was coming the following Monday - Angi is closed on the weekend - they want to charge us anyway because we "didn't cancel in time," although he let them know, and we aren't getting any services for our money. Like the other companies, they basically refer anyone who pays them, not just the qualified. I wouldn't use their referrals anymore.

This was a waste of time and results in robo-calls. I listed what I wanted for a bathroom remodel, I got calls from places like Rebath that were wanting to do little parts and don't deal with permits.

I complained to Angi about Mr Handyman scamming my credit card and not finishing the job. They took an additional 1500.00 from my credit card above the written contract price and would not return the money. They also use inferior materials and never finish the work. They also left a mess. Angi representatives would not even take my complaint and disconnected the call. They are just as bad as Mr. Handyman.

I needed to expand my driveway (6.5 x 31). I had a few contractors to choose from. We decided to go with Faith Construction Group (FCG). They were great! They got all the necessary permits and inspections. The project came out perfect! I would call them again should I require more concrete work.
