Used Angi twice and BOTH times for a barn repair, never heard a word from anyone. Not one single company contacted me from their list. Ended up using Yelp.

They are too expensive and many leads are not real people.

We wanted to start using Angi services, we spoke to the representative and told them we wanted to try them for a month and see how it went. They told my daughter she needed to fill out paperwork for a background check. She did not completely read the information. They imbedded a 12 month contract into the background check information. This company knows they are giving subpar leads and cashing in on the fact that some people don’t read all the fine print and sign something other than what they thought they were signing. Even the email sent with the contract embedded in it said background check. Nothing about a contract with them.

Angi canceled three times. The first time the man either never showed up or he showed up and never called me to say he was here. When Angi called the pro he was no longer in my area. My couch has been in a box in my living room for a week.

I had a tractor mower I could not get to start, I had recharged the battery but it would not start. I tried to look up a mower repair service and Angi came up. I filled out my information and guessed it might take 2 to 4 hours. Angi charged me $524 dollars and stated that is to cover an estimated four hours and that I will get a refund on anything that is less than 4 hours. The tech came found my battery was bad, replaced it (at my additional charge) and got the tractor running, all this was done in under 1.5 hours. I sent Angi a request for my money which they said I would get back initially. As of this date 2 May 26, I have not received any refund. I WOULD NOT recommend or will use Angi again.

The Angi's website assumes all phones are cell phones that accept texts. Some phones do not accept texts and there is no other option. Not service oriented! I can't even try to get service through Angi's.

-5 stars. Accosted constantly by unwanted contractors, offering expensive and untrained contractors. Never again will I allow this site to waste my time.

I am writing to formally report and express my dissatisfaction regarding the fraudulent behavior of their dealings with customers. Angi charges for services not rendered. It has come to my attention that the sponsor has been engaging in deceptive practices. This experience has been highly unprofessional, and I feel it is important to document these issues to prevent others from being misled. I hope you will take this feedback into account and take the necessary steps to address these concerns.

The worst. Got absolutely no help from them at all.

Mr. Jacob (Warren) Roland, accepted a job, and $10,000.00 dollars of our hard earned money with a signed contract from us and did not do the job he was contracted and hired to do. We continually got excessive excuses of his personal life as to why he couldn't do the job that we paid him to do. We did accept this contractor off of Angie's List in April 20024, and read the reviews listed on their site, which were of good standings, but the truth is that this Roland Remodeling Company is not a company that anyone one should consult or hire. This only stands as our personal dealings and personal experience. Family and friends have done an in-depth screech of reviews on other websites just to find out that we are not the only ones that he has done this to.

I am a first time user of Angi. I found the process easy, useful, helpful and informative. I was given the choice of choosing my vendors and then able to do research on each. I chose a vendor and the results were outstanding. Angi had a team member follow up with me several times to see how the project was going. The Company was Flowshield of Murfreesboro Tn. I suggest you give it a try.

One bad experience was enough for me. I needed a stove that was under warranty check to either fix or replace. Angi double booked the repairman and he was already at his last job for the. When I called Angi back they wanted me to wait another week even though they caused the problem. The repairman hear the anger and frustration over the phone and said he would come over to check out the situation. Because the repairman was an independent person, I kept the repairman and told Angi goodbye! In the end Angi returned my deposit and asked me if the repairman was certified so I told the women that Angi's ad specified they only hire qualified people! I guess they answered their own question and I'm not going through any more aggravation.

From the beginning the site was sketchy. I had to give my address, OK, then my email, OK, then my phone number, not OK. But I need work done on my house so OK. Big mistake on all three!! When I got the results, there was one company more than 50 miles away. That met my very low bar of replacing my deck. Nobody in town, immediately I know I’d made a mistake. Then came the emails, so many emails! Then a text message, repeatedly! After blocking the number for text message, unsubscribing from the emails, I got a representative on a “recorded line” from a call center. Angi should be ashamed. But I’m sure she’s raking in the dough. Proceed at your own risk. I gave the representative an earful. I hope he really was on a recorded line. 2.5 stars on Trustpilot is a gift. JUST DON’T DO IT!

Really great experience with Greg from Greg Burz Stucco & Stone LLC. He is a master in this field. The stucco repair exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend Greg without hesitation. It is difficult to find someone with Greg’s expertise nowadays! Hire him…he is the real deal!!!

We wanted our gutters cleaned, my wife arranged for someone from Angie’s List to come over and clean them. The man came to clean the gutters, he came without a ladder told me that I have to supply ladders. I let him use my ladder, he gets up on the roof with his leaf blower, he cleaned half the gutter then he said that he can't go down the other side of the roof cause he's afraid he'll fall. I told him it's the same pitch as the side he just did. He never cleaned up the mess that he made when he blew out the one gutter. So he came unprepared, didn't clean up after himself, and did maybe 30% of the job. I will never use or recommend Angi to my worst enemy. Totally Useless!!! And I'm out $300.

I've been paying Angi's for 14 months and not one lead in my actual category. They shoved conflicting leads down my throat and lied, placated, switched reps, and generally BULLSH!TED me the entire time. SHAME on Angi for selling out!! I'm a small business owner and your business has turned into a Sh!t-show.

I contacted Angi for a cleaning service. I got only one response so I arranged a date for a deep cleaning for today. They said they should be here at 7:00 a.m. When it became 10:34 a.m. I texted them saying I expected them but they didn’t show up. Nor did they respond to my text. Not a good business practice.

Horrible company, leads are garbage, they make you sign a 12 month contract and then auto renew you for another 12 months, try and cancel early you pay for it and when you call it's horrible to get through to someone that can actually do their job, I called and canceled, was told it was done and then got charged, they claim the call never happened and then charged me a $3500 cancelation fee cause it was two weeks too late, said they would waive it if I wanted to continue with them, I told them hell no, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY WITH THEM!!

We had multiple companies relentlessly calling and texting us within minutes of inquiring about a job in our garage and did not give us a chance to call them back. They did not even have the correct job request after speaking to more than one of the companies. Both continued to speak about wanting to inspect our roof and our attic insulation. We have a new roof and had inquired regarding insulation for our garage. It was a waste of our time and finally had to say, "Please stop calling us."

Do not hire without checking references! Got a trio of ** who did lousy work! Very angry. My husband looked at Angie's List thinking all were pros! I got conned by them!!!!

I will never used Angie's List again. I don't like Angi. I pay for their work and they won't come and do the work that I pay for.

Terrible. They have been milking my company for low end terrible leads and I kept it for just having my company's presence on their platform. I had a grandfathered in membership and called to cancel and find out they charge you FOR THE WHOLE YEAR. Leads are NOT QUALIFIED.

Tried to cancel Angi which I rarely use and has now gone up in price to $29.99 a year... Because I have been a member since 2000 or so I am a gold or silver "legacy" account that requires a special Customer Service department that is not open weekends. I have to call 1-888-828-5478 between 8am-8pm EDT. I tried to cancel on the website and it just sent me to an unrelated page, but did not give me confirmation so I had to call in. SOOO happy I am an elite gold/silver customer that I can't cancel online, can't use the general custom service line at a time of my convenience, and will probably get the run around when I call my "special" number. Angi is supposed to be helpful, time-saving and trustworthy - no they are not.

Do not use them for lead generation! Contact and close percentages are very low considering the cost, then they make it really hard to cancel. Their contract auto-renews, so if you forget about the renewal date then try to cancel, they hit you with thousands of dollars in cancellation fees. When I get out of this agreement, I will NEVER consider them again!

Absolutely horrible!!!! Don’t waste your time, definitely use someone else.

They resolved the issues

We've been Angi contractors for close to 2 decades, even before it was bought out. We have had nothing but issues with customers not calling back, contact info being wrong or they don't own the property. I've called Angi multiple times requesting credit (not refund, credit towards the next lead) only to be told "the customer may change their mind" or "you should try more times to reach the customer" and they deny our request. Thank goodness we don't rely on Angi for business. At this point, it's good brand recognition only.

I was on the Internet looking for a specific type of contractor. I didn't make a decision or contact anyone. Suddenly, I am getting PHONE calls from Angie's List. Beware of using their site to find your help.

Save money, time and your mental health. Do not give Angi any information about your company. They are charging me to terminate my so called contract. I have never seen, agreed to or signed a contract. When I asked the representative to send me a copy of this so called "contract" she let me know that, that would not be possible. It took me nearly 2 months of phone calls, messages and emails to finally talk to someone from Angi.

This company is a joke. They use cryptic language to bill customers out of money for sub-par leads. I do not recommend using them for lead generation. The website is wonky and unintuitive. The app is also hard to manage.

Every review Angi sells me is garbage! 99 percent of 'em don't even answer the phone! If you leave them a message they never call Back! Beware of this company! You can find a better lead source than Angi!

If I could go below one star I would. . Rescheduled 5 times and it didn't get done. Had to get refund and get it done somewhere else. I only bought the furniture from Wayfair because it had the put together option. . What a joke.

Never ever, ever use this app. I got a sectional for a decent amount of money which was junk that will probably won't even last a year from Bed Bath & Beyond, then they send Angie's List out people three times. They every person left every person that came here to put this couch together, left because they're so cheap. They only wanted to send one person. They laughed at me the first time and left second guy laughed then two and a half hours after this guy was supposed to come two and a half hours late, he's like, "I'm not doing this by myself". So I they had my money, took my money, I had to pay almost double out of my pocket to get somebody to put my couch together because I had to sleep on a bean bag for almost a month because of this.

I contracted to have a ceiling fan installed. Appointment was set up through e-mail including a picture of my installer. Two hours before the scheduled time, a different person showed up at my door to install. I figured they were early so I let him in. He asked me for an additional $250; I had already pre-paid the fee. Realizing something was up, I asked him to leave. Reached out to Angi to let them know what had happened. They were unable to explain how this imposter got my address or how he knew I had an appointment. Offered an apology and we're done. Beware.

I used Capital Remodeling for replacing 15 windows on my home. Once the work was completed, I paid an incorrect amount for the balance and asked for a detail explanation, wanting to be sure the discount was applied on 15 windows and not 11 as the proposal said. The lack of payment was escalated from Finance to a manager. He called on March 13th and said I owed them money and needed to pay. I was happy to pay once the difference was explained. He became rude and said he told me several times. This went back and forth several minutes until he shouted what I was originally asking for. The windows are great, and I have another 40 to replace, but it will not be with this company.

I had tried Angi’s list once and that was enough for me. I never contacted anyone on this site, but what did end up experiencing was call-backs from the call center harassing me to try and use a company. This happened several times. I was so annoyed. I finally told them to quit calling me and remove me from their list. I still got calls so I had to block them. I will never use this company ever again!

I got a call from Larry who called his company Telecom Global. I was looking for someone to install an outside TV antenna. He told me the type of antenna to get and call him when I wanted installed. I got the antenna from Amazon and set up a time to install it. He showed up in a regular car (not a service truck or van). He assembled the antenna and wanted to borrow a ladder to install it with. Fix it people who don't have their own tools should be a red flag. The install went well and was a neat job. However I asked him if the antenna should be mounted higher on the antenna mast but he said it was not necessary for this type antenna.

My family and I ordered a chair for my mother as a retirement gift and paid for assembly. An hour before our scheduled assembly, we received notice that it was being rescheduled to a time most inconvenient so I rescheduled that time on the app and received a notice indicating that 48 hour's notice was required to reschedule. I called and spoke with someone and explained the issue and advised that we also required 48 hour's notice. I was assured it would not happen again and if it did, we could ask for a refund. It happened again. I asked for a refund and instead of a refund, assembly got canceled altogether. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. It's a scam!

Angi is a total scam. I am a contractor who after over 6 months of continuous calls agreed to their service. They sent more than 25 referrals that were all scams. Called every referral and never got answer or a call back. Then they wanted to charge me for all the referrals. These guys are a total scam.

ANGI assigned a time for a contractor to come to my home. It was a time when I could not be there, so I scheduled someone to be there. The appt was cancelled 59 minutes before the time. When I reached out to ANGI they told me that could not find a contractor at that time. THEY scheduled the appt! Clearly they have no idea or reliability and had no answer to make sure that the time THEY rescheduled would not end the same. They said it was and then gave me a number that will only work 24 hours before. How can anyone make arrangements with less than 24 hours' notice.

This company has been a problem ever since I used it. My client left a bad review years ago. I found it recently. I long since resolved the issue with my client. My client requested the old post removed. We've tried every avenue to remove that post and they don't respond. They are hurting my business and don't seem to care and there is no avenue of recourse.

They didn’t show up when they said they would. Angi didn’t provide the contractor with my address so he wasn’t able to make it on the day he was booked to complete a job. He also didn’t have the correct parts to finish the job. Wasted time and money using Angi. Save your money and hire a different service.

Kept getting all sorts of messages asking for details about what I needed (it was to put together and mount some bookshelves), but NO ONE ever showed up. I ended up having to bribe some friends to assist.

Our experience with Angi has been extremely disappointing. The leads we received were largely low quality and rarely converted into real business. After the first month, we realized the platform was not delivering value and asked to cancel. We were then told that we were locked into a 12-month contract and could not cancel early.

I wish I could give triple 0s. Angi is a crook. I paid for a service through Sam's Club 6 weeks ago, Angi canceled 3 times so I hired someone else. As I said it's been 6 weeks and they still have not refunded my money. Every time I call they say 5 to 10 days or it will be this Friday. Today the same thing. Sam's club has been no help except to help Angi steal my money. Do not use Angi and definitely do not pay in advance.

I will never use Angie's again as a contractor handyman, they bleed you dry for leads and cut you off for leads once your $300 dollar monthly payment is used up per lead, overpriced and unfair. Wasn't like this 3 years ago when I first started with Angie's. They have changed twice and each time more aggressive on taking people's money and cutting off leads!! How can anyone make money with this disservice and greed upon the people who trusted them as their livelihood!!! Never have I seen any other services be so greedy!!!

If I could give a 0, I would. I didn't manage to get anything done. On March 3, 2026, I bought a kitchen faucet at Lowe's. I arranged for installation, which could also be put on my card. The installation date through Angis was March 9, within hours, it was rescheduled to April 18. This morning, it was a new plumber and changed to May 29th. I have a cracked faucet that any minute will start spewing a shower the next time it's used. Just because it's a small job does not warrant fobbing it off as no account.

I needed a plan to be design for my restaurant, Purpose Built Engineer was recommend to me, please do not used this engineering company. It takes them one year and four months trying to design a simple plan, on top of that they lied about everything, very unprofessional people, incompetent, they draw a design and when it fail they said they did not have enough information for the plan, so I ask them then what spec; did you use to draw the plan, to date I am still waiting for the plan to submitted to the city.

Angie’s List is a joke and they allow anybody to write whenever they want to and none of it is ever verified. This site should be taken down. This company should lose their license. I’ve had a couple people go on here that I found out is my competition yet they continue to write bad reviews and Angie’s list accepts anything. Sorry writes is totally unacceptable and should not be allowed to be posted on any website or Facebook page that I have.

My daughter contracted with a handyman as a gift to us. The contractor contacted us via text and had to reach out a number of times (3) to get our todo list. The contractor would not give an estimate over the phone but wanted a budget number. I asked him to come out and give a quote. He came over after ghosting us for the first appointment saying he was still working on another job, again, via text. Once he arrived 1/2 hour early, I gave him a list of projects we wanted done to which he still wouldn't give a quote so I succumbed to giving him a, in my mind, a reasonable budget. He said that the amount was low but he was willing to work with me. He completed the replacing of lights in both the exterior and interior of my home on a Saturday.

I'll keep this simple, small dent in gutter, Palm tree hitting it, needed it looked at, numerous phone calls, "we are recording you", even more text, realized I made a mistake. I ask one company to give an estimate, clear stated small repair, hard sell of 25k new gutters hard sell for leaf guard, crazy. My gutters are 2 years old but boy I guess they are real bad. Still laughing, Just use AI. It's free, ask for locals with good reviews, phone numbers, locations provided. No Angi follow ups, phone doesn't blow up and you won't have to clear out all those texts.

I had a Costco purchased TV installed on a wall thru Angi. A little less than six months later at 2:02 am the TV fell off the wall, destroying the TV, sound bar, a ceramic piece on the credenza, and damaging the wall. For nearly 1 1/2 months, I have been fighting with Angi to get my claim settled. It is a matter of dragging their feet, document that I own the TV, pictures, information is not submitted in the correct format, etc. It is my opinion that this is simply a matter of stalling in the hope that I will get tired and go away. In reviewing the fasteners used, it is my opinion, having been involved in the construction business for many years, that the fasteners used were the wrong type and insufficient for the materials involved. As I write, I am still dealing with this debacle. I believe the contractor Angi sent was totally unqualified.

My furnace stopped working during the stretch of the coldest days in Michigan. My sister got on the internet trying to find a company to help. It was around 8 pm and no one was answering the phone. I remembered Angie's List, contacted them and received a call almost immediately. Angi got me in touch with a company that couldn't come out that night but showed up at 8 am the next morning. I have a very unusual furnace (the furnace and AC are in the same unit). The unit was replaced within 36 hours with a very good price. Under the circumstances I did not think this was possible. I am warm and so thankful to Angi. I will be using Angi the next time I need help.

Angi sent me a "pro roofer". I had an aged roof that did not leak, due to the age I decided to replace it. Results new roof that leaks. File a review with Angi and the review on the contract never showed up or heard anything. The contractor was Tobby ** of Ethical Remodeling.

I used Angi to have someone come to build a ramp for my shed. The guy came, got the supplies and built the ramp and put three instead of five boards for the ramp. My husband had to finish the job, because the guy said the he lived two hours away and he needed to get back to his children. He said that he would come back the next day to finish the job. He never showed up, so no more Angi for us, or any of my family.

DO NOT CONTACT THIS COMPANY - YOU WILL BE SPAMMED FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE by contractors calling you until the day you die. Then after that, your kids will probably be harassed by them!

I searched for names of businesses that did yard care. My yard looked terrible from windstorms and fallen leaves. I contacted "Hedge & Haul Helpers" in Haywood County, NC and spoke with Mr. Brandon **. He was just very nice and informative on the types of work that the business does and it sounded like just what I needed. We set a time and day for him to come out to view the property. He texted me the times he would be here and which day he would come. When he arrived, I was very impressed with how friendly, and informative he was about his job. Today was the day he and his associates arrived. I have never been so impressed with the job they did. I had limbs... multiple big limbs, and a few small trees laying in the yard, leaves everywhere, and we discussed property lines, etc.

I received several names for someone to do a one time general clean on me home. After getting quotes I chose the company Solutions LLC run by Yesica **. After a few emails and settling on price, I called her to make arrangements to come for a walk through of what I would like done. I left a VM message early in the afternoon and she never got back to me. I left her a text message and she said she was working and would call yet that night. She did and asked for my address and told me she would let me know when she could do the walk through. She texted the next day and said she would come at noon on Saturday. At 12.05 she texted that she couldn't make it because she was stuck at a cleaning. I told her I specifically asked when she was free so I could make plans the rest of Saturday.

I had an awful experience with Angi Handyman service. I was very clear on the projects I had, which would require tools and parts to fix a leaking kitchen faucet and replace a bulb in a two-story stairwell (I provided the bulb). The handyman came by bus, so with no supplies to be able to complete either of these two tasks. While I was out at Home Depot getting the needed washer to fix the kitchen faucet, the handyman went through my closet to locate a step stool and used one of my ladders (not appropriate to change the light bulb in the stairwell) and attempted the lightbulb change only to send the ladder and step stool down the staircase creating over a $4000 worth of damage to the floors and walls in the staircase.

Horrible, rude customer service experience trying to get subscription cancelled. Overpriced leads from people that don't want quotes but are just looking for information. Cannot recover all bad leads so you end up paying HUNDREDS of dollars for to get ignored & hung up on by people who don't want work done. We just found we are still being billed after cancelling subscription a year ago.... Common with them. We started with Home Advisor, who then changed name to Angie's List who is now Angi.... Save yourself a lot of money and grief and do not use.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. These companies listed by Angi are not vetted. Had a chimney company come in and nearly destroy my home. It was only when my attorney threatened a lawsuit did the mediator for Angi get my money refunded. Angi is a scam.

I had an appointment to have my children's beds put together. I took the old beds apart and the kids slept on the couch. The appointment was between 8am and 11am. I called the # listed at 8am to confirm Sean the pro would be here. No answer. I left a message. Sean never called me back. I waited until 11 am. He never showed or called.

This company purposely removed all 5 star reviews to defame our company. They told us the only way to get that reporting resolves was to signed up with them again. Pretty bad service no other way to describe this mess!

Why don't you publish clear fees and costs?. I have searched endlessly and spoken online and no one will tell me how much it costs. Is it a secret? I like many will not sign up for something unless I know how much it will cost. For instance is there a membership fee? How much? Is there a booking fee? How much? How much is the hourly charge for cleaning (approx)?

After being with Angi for over 15 years and being a Service Award member multiple years, I am leaving Angi. I sold my company a year ago -but hoped Angi would help the transition between us and the new owner/former employee. I still had the Angi in my name/bank account - and was helping transition customers/business. Over the past 3-4 years, Angi has provided mostly false leads, FAKE ACCOUNTS, fraudulent people, and horrible customer service. As a business owner, reviews are important and I don't leave negative reviews lightly - but it makes me want to warn people to RUN!

Got installer for my shower enclosure installation and I got a very poor job. The contractor I picked must just be learning on job site. I am very unhappy with the workmanship he did in my home. All l had was pictures he sent me of his work and he must’ve clipped them from a magazine.

We contracted through Angie's List for a Snow Plow Service. Premier Lawn and Snow Service was the contractor. They charged an exorbitant amount to snow our driveway for the season. With the first two snowfalls I had to call them to plow. After each succeeding snowfall they refused to show up. We contacted Angie's List and basically they could do nothing but contract the contractor. This response has been completely ineffectual with Angi having no control over the contractors that are listed. Stay away from Angie's!

I had a kitchen cupboard door fall off. I spent about a month trying to put it back on and get it lined up with the other doors. I' m 81--this is not an easy task for me. I finally got it back on and was satisfied--only to be awakened in the middle of the night when it fell off again! I called Angie's List and Mark, of FixForte, came to my rescue. Excellent service, excellent personality, clean and knew what he was doing. I'd recommend him--says he can do lots of stuff. My cabinets are 33 years old and he fixed the door like he was installing a new one. Could not be happier!! Thank you Mark and Angi. Cher

Never again will I use anyone Sent By Angi!!!!! Had to have a install of a new faucet for my kitchen sink, the man that came made things worse!!!!! After he left, I was stuck with a broken cold-water valve. Today I had to call a REAL plumber to fix my problem!!!! NEVER USE ANGI!

Parasites. Set up my account with $800 monthly add budget. 6 "leads". I use that in the loosest possible use of the word. 5 of the "leads" never responded to calls and messages over several days. Cancelled with a 35 percent charge $2300 on the remaining contract. Would strongly recommend ANY other form of advertising. Absolute parasitical company.

Two new TV's plus mounts purchased at Walmart and scheduled through Angi. Unfortunately communicating with these people is impossible except in code on an app and communication options and details are tightly controlled to get the response they want. The two TV's for some silly reason were scheduled for two separate pros instead of having the same one do it while they were there. Guess what? The first guy ended up doing the 2nd one after a now show from the 2nd pro and a complicated mess to go through in order to arrange it. All of it had to be done through a chat app instead of talking to humans.

When my husband passed away in 2021, I could no longer keep my home. I was a stay-at-home mom for 18 years, (not that I will ever regret this decision); I downsize my home and I bought a condo. After completing the necessary updates, I needed someone to install (3) blinds. So of course; I contacted Angie's List. Within a hour, I had someone at my door saying they were from the website (I always check the website before having a contracter entering my HOME). So, I went ahead and let them know the job that I needed to be done. They requested some money ahead. I gave them a deposit ($500.00); and they only installed 2 out of the 3 blinds I need installed.

Been a customer with Metro Lawn Sprinklers and Landscaper for two years and I have had no issues with the services that they provide. The Spring activation, Backflow Testing and Winterization have gone as scheduled and per quoted.

One start only because I can not put negative stars. After entering my info to try to find a roofing company that I could trust I started getting calls. Over 100 (counting messages) so far in just over 24 hours. I called yesterday to customer service to remove my number to stop the calls and I was told it could take up to a week for them to stop. This is crazy, I get interrupted every few minutes. Some ads holes even call right back 4 to 6 times, as soon as I deny the call it rings again with the same number. Some numbers gave in ID so I can’t even block them. I would not use any company this hard up and willing to work with a company like Angi, who gave my info out to everyone. I am in South Orange County and I am getting calls from San Diego to San Fernando! Do not ever give Angi your info!

Am trying to cancel my deceased sister's account. Phone menus are worthless for that purpose. Chose one of the options to get a human. They were pleasant and said they would transfer me to someone who could help, but it went back to the useless phone menu. Dialing 'O' didn't go anywhere. If it's on auto-renewal, hopefully the fact that her credit card was stopped will solve the problem. (I'm wondering if I should cancel my own account....)

Not happy with the leads coming in, four out of the 30 leads they sent me have converted. They hold you to a year contract, showing to me that they aren't confident in their product/service. If you are a Handyman don't do it. Absolute garbage.

Angie's List is a Con artist system. Ripped me off $10,000. Stay away from there. Liars and cheats. They promise one thing. The leads they send told me they didn’t request any service. Other ones said needed to talk to their landlord. Don't get a headache. Stay away.

I submitted the request on Angi, gave details on the toilet replace and gas line install for stove. The replies I received from the business "call us to discuss your project". Why waste my time giving details if I have to call them. Then a staff from "Angi" calls me to follow up. I explained the frustration about the no reply. He said he would email links with other companies. He DID NOT send any information. Then today I get a second call from Angi to follow up. Will never use them again.

South Florida General Contractors made my house look brand new after flood damage from hurricane Helene in 2024. They worked with my insurance company and guided me through the process. Best contractor I’ve encountered in Florida.

We’ve dealt with this company for the past month. They called us and told us they had 170+ unanswered leads for the past week. We decided to take a shot with them after they specifically told me that I would receive between 15 and 28 leads a month… So after receiving a lead after a week, I tried to call the customer, they did not answer. They finally sent me another lead. Tried to call that customer they did not answer the third. Customer did schedule with me, but then did not stay with the appointment. I reached out to the company and ask them what’s going on with the leads and why are they trickling in like this and is there anyway we can try to save the one lady that didn’t keep her appointment, come to find out I went to that lead, didn’t make a dime because she wasn’t even ready to do the job so I reached out to them again and told them that once again this is not working out, why am I only receiving these leads..

I had the membership for 6 months and I just get 1 client, 👎🏻👎🏻 and when I call for cancel my membership they charge $850 dollars 🤦🤦. When finally I connect with the owner. I go and give them the estimated and they said, "I will let you know, because more contractors came to give me a estimate too."😀😀

I own a business. I recently inquired about Angi and wondered if this was a platform I could use. I decided to wait. These people have not left me alone. Constant calls. I told them I wasn't interested and they say they will make a note. Then they call me again from another number. On and on. They will harass you till you pull your hair out if you don't purchase a plan.

I purchased a home in which it ends up a toilet needs replaced. Going through Lowe's and paying a ridiculous $314 for installation. I thought it would be a local company as I am in Grand Rapids, MI. So far in three weeks the installation through Angi's has been cancelled and rescheduled three times and is supposed to be done again tomorrow. I hoped I would get a professional who actually will show up in a company truck with the technician in a uniform. The picture sent to me looks like some guy in a T-shirt whose picture was taken after just getting in from a night of drinking. I was told the warranty is a year through Lowe's. For the price I am paying I would think I would be able to get a local and this guy is coming 90 miles in a terrible winter.

I used Angie's List for names of good roofers. I started getting calls immediately (!) after putting my information in. The problem is one of the companies has been harassed me nonstop with different phone# -calling me -- 4x's in one day alone. I've told them to "put me on their do not call list". I've blocked their multiple numbers (robocalls); I'm on the National Do Not Call list. What they are doing is absolutely illegal (PINNACLE HOME OF Chattanooga, TN). This is pure haressment. I've not even had them to come out to do an assessment- due to their nonstop calls. I've also filed a complain with BBB for this company. Do Not give your information to Angie's List, as you may get someone harassing you nonstop. I'm not really sure what to do to get this to stop at this point. The company doesn't care that it's of breaking laws.

We had Walls N All paint most of the interior of our house (1 bedroom, family room, kitchen & dining area, laundry room, foyer, hallway, 3 bathrooms, and all doors) in October 2025. They did an excellent job with everything looks great. Our 2 painters were very professional, punctual, pleasant, and helpful. We would highly recommend them to anyone!

DO not trust this company. We scheduled a job and got confirmation. Since the job was confirmed by email and text, we specifically traveled back home to meet the contractor at the agreed-upon time. 60 minutes before the start time, the job was canceled by Angi. We called customer support and received no apology. We were told that they can cancel at any time, for any reason, but the customer would be penalized if they cancel within 24 hours. The agent also hung up on my mid-sentence. They said they didn't need to repeat themselves to me. Unbelievably irresponsible and unprofessional.

I had a terrible experience when using Angi for an outside Christmas light service through Walmart. They assigned a professional and the first one emailed that his truck broke down and he can come next morning, then he said he couldn’t but will definitely make it that afternoon both within 20 minutes before the scheduled appt. I spoke with a supervisor who rescheduled and assured me they’d be there in afternoon but then the worker never showed again and said the company assigned him to someone else and the company blamed him saying “he could have it’s not taken the job.”. After trying one more time several days later (they told me couldn’t get someone sooner) and then assuring me they will be out at 9 am, but it was confirmed through several discussions and emails leading up to it. Then I received an email an hour before at 8 am stating it will have to be rescheduled again 3 days later because they don’t have enough people.

If I could leave a review lower than one star... you get the point! I had been warned against going to Angi for qualified companies, but there's nothing like first-hand experience. Because my past experiences with Angi's List were positive, I expected the same after the name change. BEWARE!!! It's not! Supposed Angi businesses are screened for proper licenses. They are not! Their list of service providers PAY to get on the list! The problem with this criteria is that they fabricate licensing and invent positive customers with A ratings! I was the victim of both. One provider invented the skills he did not possess and I became his first victim. The second tore holes throughout my beautiful home as a description of rewiring, leaving me with no lighting outside and outlets that destroyed my walls, including dust throughout, etc. All of his "A" ratings had been submitted by family and friends, I later discovered.

I'd leave one star if I could. Angi said guy was coming to fix my toilet. Didn't show up. A day later they send scary creepy tweaker guy who hit on me and didn't fix toilet. I won't use them again. I didn't feel safe. I don't think they know anything about people they send to our homes.

My experience with Angi has been nothing but frustrating and disappointing. Their customer service is terrible — one representative literally hung up on me, and another spoke to me with complete rudeness and disrespect. This company feels like a total scam. They are not focused on helping technicians or pros succeed; instead, they seem to exist only to squeeze money out of hardworking service providers. The platform is outdated, the support is useless, and the entire operation feels like a dead business surviving only by taking advantage of contractors. I would strongly recommend staying away from Angi. There are far better, more honest platforms out there that actually support pros instead of exploiting them.

I am a contractor that worked with them in the past under HomeAdvisor. My account went dormant and they no longer allow me to login. Seeing my contact information in their old HomeAdvisor pages has inaccurate information from a random Google search, I simply wanted to update this information so what they share with the public is valid and accurate. To my surprise they wanted to charge me to re activate my account just to update an address and phone number. I apologize in advance to anyone that searches their website for service providers. Be aware that the contact information may be out of date with no ability to update. I can't justify a cost on my end to keep their records accurate and up to date. It would make more sense to just take the profile entirely offline.

Yesterday Jerry, aka Jack of All Trades, did a few chores for me, carrying 50 lb. bags of salt, and cleaning up a pile of old lumber. He did a fine job, charged a fair price, and was pleasant to talk to. I'd certainly call him again.

THIS IS A SCAM!!!! As soon as you click on a phone number they’re charging you $30-$40. The leads aren’t real! I called a number back it literally said this is a scam. I had to close my bank account so that they couldn’t take my money. NOTHING ABOUT ANGI OR ANGI PRO IS LEGIT!

You may want to reconsider taking the day off from work waiting for someone to show up.. Angi site is WORTHLESS! Bought a tv from Walmart, came with a free install.. They use Angi, I have not received any response from contractor. And Angi chat is a joke, keeps asking for the same info. Just Google when looking for a contractor, and take a chance.

Their "professionals" are nothing more than local Fix-It men with no licenses and a little experience. The membership system is a scam and practically impossible to cancel. Had to file with my credit card to dispute the charges. Stay away from them at all costs! You're probably better if you can't do it yourself to just find someone locally through FB marketplace or Craigslist. Do a search for ANGI scam and you'll find all sorts of lawsuits and settlements with State AG's.

Don't ever use Angi's list. Our so called pro, never showed up and wouldn't answer the phone when we tried to call him directly. Then Angi's list tried to make us still pay a cancellation fee as if we did something wrong and tried to see us on getting another professional to come out and do the job when we clearly said we were done and wanted a full refund. Talked to other contractors in the area and any reputable professional avoids Angi's list like the plague. Do your research and find a pro yourself and book them directly. This service is complete garbage.

This is a very bad service. They got my phone number and email, but didn't have any real person contact me next day. On the other side, after a few weeks, someone under Angi contacted me with the different service which was not what I requested. I blocked the number. Actually they frequently sent you hassle message. No phone number showed on the message. Even I reported it was a junk and blocked it, but I still receive this kind of junk message. Don't know how to get rid of this kind of junk message. Never gave your phone to this webpage. It is a junk!

This is an honest review of Odd Jobs Willie, LLC and the work he and his employees did on a home renovation project for me and my family. This review is strictly directed at the quality, workmanship, and integrity of his employees and the fact the employees left the job site in the middle of the night without any prior coordination with us. Also, and most disturbing, two of the three employees sent to complete the home renovation were smoking ** on a daily basis. Mr. Wilson's stepson was combative with the lead employee and performed tasks he wasn't certified to perform. He was sent there as a helper and performed tasks that he had no experience in doing. The other helper and floor guy was asked to perform a shower installation and was not qualified to do those tasks either. These three men quit their obligations to complete the project because the men couldn't get along.

The contract initially signed (We had many calls to set up our leads and payments per month) BUT the contract auto-renewed without a phone call and ask if we even wanted to renew. We had to pay the rest of the contract to get out of the 2nd year of this without the knowledge (So read the fine lines before signing up). The service did give us a few good leads but mostly people wanting quotes to get money to do themselves or just looking and not really wanting the work done. We have been in business for 12 years and I don't recommend them because of the contract deal and locking you in and the slyness of the auto renewal and making us pay the remainder of the 2nd year that we had no idea we were locked in to pay out of it. It's not worth the money paid to the business to get leads. We got about 5 in a year and paid 400 a month which basically paid for the leads we got and called it even.

Attention contractors - I paid Angi almost 15k for leads that were never manifested. Nothing, zip, nada - except mostly repetitive ''tiny home" and "trailer home'' builds. I'm a high end custom home builder in one of the most high demand cities in US " Park City area". I told them that they need to change my account so that I wouldn't have these types of leads and that it wasn't what I paid for. I was assured month after month that my account would change and I would receive a good quality lead....They then said that their company couldn't control this, but they were changes in their matrix that were at a high level and i just need to wait and trust them.

I just had my driveway resurfaced by Flo Concrete. They did a terrific job for a very reasonable price, and even did my walkway for free. They were professional and did the job in a timely fashion. I have already had a compliment from a neighbor on how good it looks. I highly recommend this contractor. Gloria **

Angi is nothing but a fraudulent organization aimed at defrauding unsuspecting customers by offering contractors with no integrity to the populace. Midwest Services is a terrible contractor from Angi with zero professionalism, obtained money under false pretense for a job that was poorly executed. All efforts to get Angi resolve this issue proved abortive as Angi demonstrated nonchalant actions towards resolution of this issue. This single action makes Angi an accomplice to bad contractors paraded on its platform.

I have a computer that only recognizes two of my 6 browsers, so they sent Neil Chopra to "fix it", he said I had a virus and that he would remove it for $125.00. Google Chrome was one of the browsers that didn't work. He worked a little on my computer, said the virus was removed and I sent him the payment with Zelle, he left so I thought I would check my computer. The only thing he removed was $125.00 from my checking account. I called him and told him that my computer was not fixed and he told me that my WiFi was not fast enough. I doubled my WiFi speed and still couldn't get on Chrome. A blatant liar. Have tried to call him several times and my calls all go to voicemail.

Purchased a tv from Costco and thought I was lucky to find they partnered with a TV mounting service (Angi). Living nightmare followed, it took 2 full weeks and three individuals, since the first untrained "professional" showed up to mount the TV, conceal the wired behind the wall and connect 3 devices. Two out of SEVEN scheduled visits were no-show and no-call. The first person came, couldn't finish and scheduled a second visit where he ghosted us with a no-show, no call. The second person visited twice, fumbled around for two hours each time, and we canceled his attempt to come back a third time and called Angi to send a licensed, trained person instead (the last one said he was self-taught).

We signed up for Angie’s List and have been paying $280 per month, expecting quality leads and consistent engagement. Unfortunately, the results have been underwhelming. While we respond quickly to every inquiry, we only end up talking to about 20% of the leads that come through. The real cost per qualified lead works out to around $60, and we’re only able to close about 1 in 20. In comparison, other marketing platforms we use deliver higher-quality leads at a much better value. Angie’s List just hasn’t justified the monthly cost for us. If you’re considering this service, be aware that it’s a significant investment with limited return—there are better options out there for the same or less money.

I hired before and after home improvement LLC. Their work was completely trash. They charged us over 50% of the original job and their painting was like a 12 year old had done it. We paid for a custom painting and received crappy results. Do not hire this company. These people are not professional. They are trash.

Angie's List is a scam through and through. They con their pros and homeowners alike! Don't sign up with them as a pro, because you will be paying 35% of your yearly contract amount plus a $200 early cancelation fee a few months in when you realize they got you. Just don't do it.

Wow, this was bad. I thought I was getting installation from Lowe’s but they contract out to Angi. New faucet installation took three hours plus. They had to go out in middle of installation to Home Depot for plumbers' putty. Left a mess on the floor. When I said I had had trouble with previous Moen faucet, the plumber said he’d never heard of that brand. Also said that he’d had trouble with sink stopper: hadn’t had to install one of those before, or maybe one. Very inexperienced, clearly, though nice young guys. I would NEVER use Lowe’s for installation again, knowing that they take this route. And I wonder how the heck Angi vets who they send out. Really, really terrible. Angi’s surveys are terrible! They ask, “is the service complete?” Yes? That’s all! The. You get a second survey that also doesn’t get to what the problems are. THIS IS REALLY TERRIBLE. Never again.

I had a tech scheduled to do a TV stand build. He arrived on time and after an hour and a half, he told me it was a two-person job and I would need to reschedule. So I rescheduled, but I got a call the day before the next install date, cancelling the booking and the tech wanted to reschedule the next week! I told him it was a 2-person job, he said they only had one tech scheduled, and that I need to call Angi and straighten it out. I gave up and cancelled the booking, I will never use Angi again for anything. This is terrible service! My TV stand is lying in the middle of my kitchen floor, all the pieces out of the box. What a mess! Angi sucks!

Worst experience I’ve ever had. Some contractor called Mohammed S left my basement in shambles and never finish the job considering suing. He told me he had something more important to do and that he was only scheduled for two hours.

I used a contractor, Custom Woodwork and Cabinetry in Davie, Florida to do a kitchen remodel. The price was good but the quality of the work was terrible. I had to terminate the contractor halfway through the project and hire another contractor to finish the work. A job that should have been done in a month was about half completed 3 months into the contract. Many delays and installation was terrible.

If you are a business owner, STAY AWAY!!! Terrible leads, terrible customer service, zero accountability for their horrendously flawed system. I wouldn't use Angi moving forward even if they were the ones paying me. The only place this company will "LEAD" you to, is less money in the bank. Pure Garbage.

The contractor lied, did poor work, didn’t clean up the old material, but left it for me to dispose of. Didn’t build like I ask, and added a fee at the last minute. I wouldn’t recommend Angi for anything!

The interior had not changed since. As my parents have gotten older, as you can imagine i have had to do some construction, lighting, plumbing, doors and locks, and exterior roofing repairs within the past 6 months. I found Roberto through a family member he had done some beautiful work for which included painting from floor to ceiling, new flooring, fixtures etc. I am happy to say that Roberto is a treasure. He is an honest and hard-working young man. Roberto is dependable, reliable, and forthright regarding his value and pricing and necessity for the jobs that he does.

RGF Fencing INC Kershaw County, SC. Quite possibly the worst installation of a vinyl chain link fence ever seen. Wire mesh so loose, dogs (big dogs) are able to escape with ease. A 10ft drive through gate that cannot be secured. Original installer (38 years experience) back to site who claimed nothing was wrong and proceeded to label owner a "dummy" and a "**" for doubting his work. Thank goodness for video!

I requested a quote for air duct cleaning and they sent me a HANDYMAN who was only going to vacuum and wipe them out. I contacted ANGI and they charge me $50 to pay the contractor just coz he had to come out, very unfair because they sent me the wrong person to do the job. would not really recommend using them unless you research the contractor first, very disappointed and stuck with a $50 bill

Terrible crooked outfit. Their "Pro" screwed a medicine cabinet to the bathroom wall ****through the metal plate of a 2-plug-in ***live*** electrical outlet over a bathroom sink with running water*****!!!!! A dangerous, live, electrical hazard!!!! But worse, they gave me a three-day phone transfer runaround, they kept referring me to other extensions and did everything they could to avoid helping me. *****Totally refused to service or correct the problem.***** Angi stinks to high heaven.!!!! Beware!!!!!

Adams Power shower. Fortunately, there are many quality companies out there that do power washing, and driveway sealing. Please be aware, this is not one of them. I hired Herb (Adams p shower) to clean and seal my 5 year old, $42,000 driveway. On Oct. 7, 2025, his two employees showed up to do the work. They were unable to back his small panel truck into my neighbor's driveway, without guidance from my neighbor. I thought that was odd, and also noted that one of them looked quite dubious to me, but at the time it didn’t seem like much.

I am a contractor who signed up with Angi. In my experience, a high percentage of the leads I paid for were not valid, with customers being unreachable or confused about why they were contacted. Over a year ago, I decided to stop receiving leads. This month, out of the blue, they charged my credit card several times. We called them and told him we didn’t request any leads. They refused to do anything about the credit card charges. We called our card company and disputed the charges. Now two weeks later, Angi sends me a letter that they’ve turned my account to a collection agency. I called Angi and they said they can’t do anything about this. Not a reputable company in my experience.

I have been contacted by Angi on numerous occasions trying to get me to subscribe to their service. To entice me further, they have emailed me "sample" leads with the admonition that "you have missed hundreds of similar leads". Notwithstanding the fact that the "leads" are nowhere near my zip code work area, and that they aren't even CLOSE to the type of service I provide, Angi refuses to offer any guarantees as to the quality of the leads they provide. Yet, they want over $300 up front. Why would anyone in their right mind do this?

Someone used my personal info to create an account on Angi and I am receiving numerous calls, texts, and emails from Angi and various contractors. I called Angi to tell them it was not me and to delete me from their system but they have not done that and are continuing to spam me with more calls and so are contractors they gave my info to. Customer service is a call center in what sounds like India and they are horrible. They lie about fixing the problem and do nothing to stop the harassing calls, texts and emails. I can’t imagine how horrible Angi treats their real customers if they have a problem. I will never use this service based on the way they are spamming me and won’t resolve the issue.

This is a horrible company and here’s my experience. I hired them to install my TV through Costco's service. Two teenagers came in with no stud finder and made 6 holes. Then one of them left. I was stuck helping the other kid mount my TV and it literally almost dropped and broke. He concluded he can’t do it. He walks out and I submit a claim and I was told without hiring someone to come assess damage and give me a quote, they can’t do anything. Nobody wants to come in for just a quote and not fix anything. They still haven’t refunded me or done anything about this damage. Their customer service is a joke. Please do not use them.

I was a contractor advertising on here. They are garbage, I closed my business and they kept charging me for stuff when it wouldn’t let me close my account. They give jobs to many people. They refuse to do refunds. Absolutely horrible customer service. Do not use them.

I had signed up for Angi one day and the next day I canceled it by calling them. This was in August. But I still am getting all kinds of calls that say - private caller, or out of area - or unassigned. Only a couple had a real name. I have gotten as of October 15, 2025 643 phone calls and the day is not over yet. I called them by phone 6 times in the first few days to please tell people not to call me. I will not answer any phone call unless I know who it is from and now only people I KNOW. I do not want any more phone calls from anyone connected with Angi.

Bought a smart thermostat through Lowe’s and paid for professional installation. They outsourced that to Angi. Scheduled pro never showed up, didn’t call. I called them and they said they were held up at another job. Never heard back.

Angi might be the biggest scammer in the USA and the world. I can’t believe they still exist and rip off people. Used it for several months. They just charge your card and send you up to 5 scammers to try and get more from you. Please stay away from Angi like from Covid.

BEWARE - In Oct. 2024 I paid for a 1 month subscription for a Handyman friend of mine. I called to cancel my Credit Card after a month. I was told my CC was removed from his account. Now I find Angi's List has been charging my CC anyway since last year - $267.00 a month! This is fraud. My CC has forced them to stop, but since I don't do my own Books, I didn't know they continued to charge. This is FRAUD but there's no way for me to get my money back.

I cannot trust Angi's List/Angi's anymore to thoroughly "vet" her customers. Maybe it's because her customers say they pay her to advertise their services, and therein lies the problem! One can't trust her customer "Reviews" to be absolutely accurate. I learned the hard way! I learned from experience, by using her ratings and trusting that her "vetting" was a good as could possibly be. I know there are no 100% guarantees. I am not naive. She has followed-up/stood behind her referrals and tried to make whole my complaints, and I give her credit for that. However, this last referral to a long haul mover was a disaster.

Wow! Amazing company! They performed my last minute work order in the evening after their busy day. Professional, personable, knowledgeable, hardworking, respectful, reliable, exceptional, responsive, etc. I could go on and on. Everything I would expect, hope for, and appreciate from an experienced, conscientious team. I highly, highly recommend Melken Handyman Solutions!!!

I don't know where to begin. ST Painting made the outside of my house look phenomenal. It was built in 1945 and desperately needed TLC. Saul repaired and painted everything including replacing rotted walls and door under my kitchen entryway, all of which he cut and assembled himself and also 3 broken windows. I don't think there is anything he cannot do. It was a pleasure having him work for me. He actually listens with a reassuring smile and follows through. This review would not be complete without mentioning his helper Palmyra. She did an outstanding job painting my 6 over 1 windows and wrought iron railings among other things. ST Painting is definitely a 5 Star company. They will definitely not disappoint.

Do NOT depend on this company to do anything. I scheduled a desk assembly for our office building. On the date that the assembly was to be done, they sent me an email 1 hour before the booking appointment rescheduling my assembly. We had shut our office building down for the day for the purpose of the assembly in which we were moving furniture also. Our office is in disarray with files in boxes for the assembly to be done. When I called about the rescheduling email, their excuse is that they did not have anyone available to do it although it has been scheduled for weeks. I go nowhere with them and requested a refund.

I ordered a closet from Wayfair and it delivered right on time. From the past 3weeks my assembling appointment keeps getting rescheduled by Angi. Scheduling of an appointment every time takes a minimum of 3-4days but cancelling from their end takes couple of hours before the service time, Highly unprofessional behavior!!! When I asked for a refund I was told check with wayfair and wayfair team says check with Angi. So basically it is a big scam run by wayfair+Angi together. Beware of ordering any service from wayfair as they will not refund the money.

This Lead company is a fraud. Please don't use them. You will regret. Their leads are no good. And charges 121+ for a lead they said that if the lead turns out no good they will refund. All the leads they gave when calling the customers they can't be reached.

Crap crap crap. Any online service always sends a 4 to 6 digit code to verify a real number. Angie's intentionally does not do this to make more money off small businesses to rob them when sending fake leads.

I needed the patio around my pool pressure washed to look good as I was selling my home. This was made abundantly clear in my enquiry. The Contractor which Angi supplied sent a 17 y.o. who had no idea what he was there to do which I had to explain and then asked if I had a pressure washer. I don't buy a dog to bark myself! He then spent 2 hours trying to hire one with no luck. I gave up at that point but when I called Angi's service line to complain the guy I was attempting to speak with did not speak English and had to keep going away to get someone to help understand. That is not acceptable service. I believe that to get a visa to work here there is a requirement that you speak basic English, and if you're going to go for positions where you answer phones the standard is much higher. In the end I did it myself at far less cost.

Juan just completed our third home project (this time repairing the hairline cracks in my patios' ceiling and resurfacing it and the floor). When I told him about my concerns, he addressed them all, and came up with a solution that corrected the problems and his ideas made the space more beautiful than before! I asked for three companies to estimate the work I had planned. So far, only one has actually been a company. One phone number doesn’t belong to any real company or person. The third number is a company from clear across the country… not impressed.

Stealing people money, fake service for contractors, be aware from money theft. They will send you fake leads, provide you with a phone number which is never answer, email which will never get back to you.

I contacted a painter on Angi's List. B's Quality Painting, Williamsport, PA. He came and gave us an estimate and said our kitchen was small and he could knock it out on a Saturday. The first time we heard from him afterwards was an email and only because we reached out. He put us off and said he would come on 9/27. He texted my phone at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and asked if he could come the following day to get ready for Saturday. I agreed and he asked again what color paint. We literally emptied our kitchen that night. He was supposed to show by 9 a.m. We gave him the benefit of the doubt and waited until 10 am. He told us his painting equipment was locked up and he couldn't make it.

I am from Medina Texas. I used Lone Star Land & Tree Services. Justin **. Excellent Job. So professional. I had 3 contractors refuse to do the job but not Justin. He said he could do and gave a fair quote. Very nice job. I highly recommend this company if you are in the hill country area. Terri

Just over 6 weeks ago I went on Angie's List to find contractors to get estimates on ext vinyl siding for garage build out. Home Genius was the first to come out w a sales rep who claimed quality and quick work. Pricing was a bit over fair value but needed to get the work done. I signed the contract and paid $1600 as down payment. Delivery of supplies were delayed 3 weeks. Date of work scheduled for a Monday w "crew" to arrive at 7 to 9. No one showed up until 1030. ** guy dropped off 2 small ladders, smoked a cigarette and left. Told by "project manager" the crew has already done demolition work and about to put on vinyl siding. ** guy shows back up at 1140 and leaves after I tell him it's too late to start work. PM Leonard shows up at 1150 telling me demolition done. He had no words when I showed him nothing was done and he could not answer me when I asked him 3 times where his "crew" was.

I had a very disappointing experience with the mattress pickup service I ordered through Wayfair and Angi. After scheduling the service, I waited for two hours at home, only to be told that my appointment was canceled. Their response was simply, "Sorry, we’ll reschedule for another day," without clear communication about whether they would actually show up. It's unacceptable to take payment for a service and then not deliver. I feel completely neglected as a customer. This practice is highly unprofessional, and I would not recommend this service!

Would never recommend Angi to any contractor. They are nothing but a scam. I signed up for a one-year contract at $400 per month because they promised I’d get quality leads and jobs. Seven months later, I never received a single job. Every time I called to explain the situation, they brushed me off and never fixed the issue. I finally canceled, only for them to try and charge me another $600. I’ve been a contractor for over 10 years, and this is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with a lead service. Do not waste your money. You’re literally paying for nothing.

I am looking for a surveyor to provide drawings of my property for the purpose of installing a manufactured home there. Angi put me in touch with Skytech-geo. They are not responsive nor are they knowledgeable in this field. I am disappointed with the service that both Angi and the incompetent Skytech-geo has provided. After spending $470 and waiting for nearly two months I still have nothing useful from them. And Angi makes it difficult to review their service.

I am a contractor and recently had a conversation with what I would call a pushy salesperson. After the spending about 15 min on the phone with this representative it was clear that Angi does not care about the Contractors or Consumers. Angi is all about Angi, not you. Stay far away.

Updated on 10/15/2025: Absolutely awful experience. Contractor I picked did a bad job and working with Angi has been a horrible experience. They are so slow to answer, I can’t actually talk with a customer resolution person on the phone and they stated they would take the contractor off the platform and never did.

I was defrauded $7700 by a contractor I got through Angi. Angi tried to contact him without success. They said sorry. Next time Home Depot contractors will get my business. You would think with all the money Angi makes, they would step up and reimburse this 81 year old man that just wanted his rental property bathroom remodeled for the benefit of his renter who gets below market rent to make it affordable. No good deed goes unpunished.

I purchased a ceiling fan from Lowe’s for my son’s room and had an electrician from Angi's put it in. The day after it was installed the light stopped working and the electrician stopped answering my calls even though he said he would come take a look. Angi sent out another electrician a week later to replace the fan. This electrician placed a hole in my ceiling and now Angi wants me to get an estimate of damages before they will fix the hole in my newborn's room. Never again will I work with them. They outsource their customer service and I can never reach anyone that can actually make things happen. More of a hassle. I should have put the fan in myself.

For me, I believe it is the "Pros", not entirely Angi. It seems to me there are not enough pros to fill the positions needed for people needing something done. These pro's, from my perspective are lazy, no-show bums who don't want to work certain times of their life. They don't want to be told what to do or when to do it, otherwise, no one would have a problem finding someone through Angi to come and do the project. I have had 4 reschedules in the past couple of weeks because the "pros" did not show up. They may do a job here and there, pay whatever they owe to be able to drive, live in an apt., or eat. They get a few bucks in their pocket and bam, "I am not working again until I need to." Is this the way it is today? Tell me if I am wrong. I do believe Angi should screen their "Pros" way better than they are doing.

They DO NOT have your best interest at heart!! They will connect you with deplorable companies that will do their best to defraud you! They're only about making money and will post fake reviews to get your money. Maybe they used to be legit or maybe they were able to hide it better, but regardless, they're now full of shit and are just looking to trick you with their recommendations and take you for everything they can.

We signed up with Angi and it has been a frustrating experience. After signing our contract, they set up our account incorrectly and then essentially ghosted us. The lead quality is terrible, with many leads coming from outside our service area. Despite multiple attempts, they have not responded to our emails or offered any support. Overall, poor service and not recommended.

Terrible service, communication with people in the Philippines. The so-called "professional" cancelled the 1st appointment for him to assemble, and rescheduled for today at 5 pm without checking with me first. Then, at 5:20 pm, he called to say he's running late, by at least an hour, with traffic etc. Meanwhile, I paid for the rinky-dink, BS service through Wayfair, and no one will offer me a credit, discount or refund for my time, troubles and/or inconvenience. And I have a huge box in the middle of my living room floor, for the past 2+ days. Not good business. Not the least bit recommended.

We contracted Dan the Handyman to install a shower door in our just completed tile shower. Dan came and looked at the installation a couple of weeks prior and was given printed instructions from the manufacturer. On August 29, 2025 Dan and his helper arrived to install the shower door. He did not have the correct size or type of carbide drill bit to accommodate the anchors supplied with the door. He mis-drilled many holes and installed the shower door nowhere near plumb or square, with a lot of extra holes exposed. When confronted about the installation, he said he had insurance and would make it right. We had a phone conversation with Dan on September 2, 2025 and he asked for an amount we are seeking. To be fair to both parties we told him that we would attempt to get the tile replaced on a time and materials basis. He has since ghosted us with no further contact. Dan has no skills or integrity. Do not hire!!!

Make sure you carefully read their contracts very, very carefully! They lock you into a 12-month contract and don't let you out, and just give you terrible quality leads. NO OTHER LEAD PLATFORM DOES THIS!

My experience with Angi was absolutely horrible. I cancelled my account and they kept charging me for 6 months! I reached out for help, and they treated me like garbage. Zero respect, zero accountability, and a total waste of money. This company is a complete scam. They lie, they steal, and they don’t care about their customers. I will never use Angi again, and I strongly warn everyone – STAY AWAY from this trash company.

I booked two toilet replacements through Lowe's for Angi to handle. The first replacement went fine and the professional who came out did a great job. The trouble started with the second installation. There was a defect in the toilet and it kept leaking, so he communicated with Lowe's that he needed a replacement unit. It has taken a week to be notified a replacement toilet has been found and now I am hearing it will take 48-72 hours to schedule the install. This should have been done last week and now I have family coming to visit this weekend with no working toilet on our main floor. The overall lack of urgency in this whole process has been disappointing.

My wife and I hired this gentleman do a tub to shower conversion. He charged an excellent affordable price and once finished, we were astonished with the quality of work and how the upgrade transformed our bathroom. Without hesitation, we decided to have our two other bathrooms upgraded with the conversions from bathtub to walk-in showers. Each was meticulously and professionally done with a lot of care. This person has over 20 years of experience, was very personable and worked around our schedules. I would highly recommend Issac **, and he is well worth the price!!

I liked Home Advisor a lot. Since they are acquired by Angi, the quality becomes much worse. They can't give out good recommendations anymore. Either not matches my need or not replied you at all. I wont use it anymore.

I am writing to warn others about my deeply disappointing experience with a service booked through Angi. My appointment was for the simple assembly of a television stand. The service was pre-paid, but upon completion, the technician demanded an additional $30, claiming he had been there a "long time." I felt pressured and bullied into paying this extra amount, which was completely undeserved and not part of the original agreement.

Use Angie's List to fix a ac unit. They used a defective fan. Angi has no record for warranty so I have to pay a new person to do the job again. I also tried to use to mow lawn and the contractors they used never even showed up. Angi charged me anyway. They did reverse but I had to keep calling. They need to better check their contractors.

I had Angi send someone, via a Wayfair.com order, to assemble a book case. The installer arrived on time, was doing OK, and after 2 hours declared that he is leaving because his time is up. He was only about 80% done. Wife and I had to finish. Anji app agreed to pay him extra hour to finish job but he refused. Angi also offered to 'reschedule' another day to complete, 4 days later...which was ridiculous. So wife and I finished...including vacuum floor with styrofoam crumbs.

I highly recommend family-owned Perfection Roofing and Siding. Russ and his teams who installed new siding and painted my house were courteous and professional. Russ came by and outlined what needed to be done and the expected time frame. He also presented Job options as well as payment options. Russ was always just a phone call away and addressed any concerns I had. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thanks Russ! It looks like a new house.

1st time using Angi. Booked about a week ago, gave specific instructions on how to use the community security gate to announce their request to enter. Never heard from security. Spent too much time in chat room with Angi “help”. They wanted to charge me a fee for a missed appointment. No way! I am retired, home all the time, my son works from home for his remote job. No calls from security (they always announce when a preapproved vendor has been added for one time entry, or permanent if needed). They rebooked me for 2 days from now. If he gets here, completes the job correctly I will update my rating. Until then the one star review stays. Fingers crossed the next handyman shows up and does the job correctly! This app wants a thumbs up or down so to get this posted I will thumbs down. It could change if Angi attempt #2 works.

I searched for dryer repair companies on Angie’s List. What I actually got were independent “contractors” who worked out of their homes. No references available and no reviews. I received several phone calls. One barely spoke English and was difficult to understand. Another had a heavy accent but was easier to understand. He really tried hard to convince me to hire him even though I told him I had already hired someone. However most seemed polite. But none provided references. They all sounded more like a phone scam. Very disappointed in the “new” Angie’s list. Definitely don’t recommend.

I paid Angi 305 dollars on August 4 to repair a plumbing issue I had at my house. They sent out two different plumbers. They didn't look like plumbers to me. They drove unmarked vehicles, wore hoodies and Michael Jordan shoes. No tools. They didn't want the job and they left. My mistake was paying in advance. Do not do that. I called Angi two different times and was told that my refund was on the way. They lied. No refund has happened. Take my word for it... Do not pay in advance. Even better do not call these crooks. You will regret it.

Angi determined my appliance repair would cost 3 hours and $300. I had to agree to that before they would schedule a pro. The actual repair was a "reset" and consumed 10 minutes including diagnosis. Angi still charged me $300. I do not recommend using Angi.

I used Porter Design Landscaping from Angie's List for my landscaping project on September 2, 2025. The company did an outstanding job on my flower beds. Mr. ** was professional, the job was performed on time and the cost was affordable. I will rehire this company.

Worst experience ever!!! Booked pros to mount my television on 8/20 for 8/28 at 1pm. Received a confirmation email. Received a reminder text the day before. On the day of service I received an email expanding the time from 1pm to 1-3:30p. At 2:45p I received a rescheduled time email for August 30th at 11a. I called and was guaranteed they had a pro that would definitely be here at 11am Saturday August 30th. On Saturday morning I received another email stating they rescheduled me again for 9/2 at 7pm. I called again was greeted with a rude customer service rep!! I definitely would NEVER recommend the services of Angi!! NEVER!!

I have tried to deal with Angie's list 2 times in the past 2 1/2 years. The first time was for plumbing and they were very rude. I tried again approximately a week ago and no one called me back until yesterday! Their service sucks. I would not recommend them for anything!

Very happy with the quality of work. The crew was great and hard working. It really came out fantastic! They finished my single-story cement tile roof in just 3 days. Plus, they were the least expensive of my 3 bids. Thank you, Roof Masters!

I bought two grab bars for my shower because my wife is having knee replacement in two days. I started this process one month ago. Bought the grab bars thru Lowe’s and used their install service which contracted with Angi. Angi rep came out several hours late more than a week later and then rescheduled for the next day. Drilled three holes in a ceramic tile wall and then determined the holes were the wrong size. Drills more holes and then walked off the job telling me to get someone else from Angi to finish. Called Angi and couple weeks later a second expert was sent by Angi. He looked at the six holes in two locations and said the first guy did not even locate studs behind the tile to hold the bar but the six holes also caused a problem that would cause the tile to crack and it would never support the grab bar.

NEVER USE THIS SERVICE FOR BUSINESS!!! If there was a way to give negative stars I absolutely would. This scam of a business stole $3800 from me and is refusing to reimburse me because Angi's is claiming they have an active account. I have a year's worth of emails with numerous representatives who are constantly changing and always telling you the old one was fired. I have my email from when I cancelled the account and received confirmation in response to it acknowledging and confirming cancellation. I have emails from current salespeople harassing me about “setting up opportunity leads only” so I only pay if I click them and I refused.

Recently used PTA Masonry for foundation and sidewalks. Very professional. Courteous, work is top-notch. Leaves area clean, crew is friendly. Cannot say enough praise for the work. Would recommend this masonry service to anyone.

Avoid Angi’s like the plague. They’re unprofessional. Their contractors don’t speak English. They don’t show up and then you try to contact somebody and it takes him 3 1/2 hours to get back to you. I took a day off from work to have a big screen TV hung, and nobody even showed. Avoid them like the plague. They’re terrible and unreliable. They’re just a fraudulent company. They took my money. They didn’t give me shit in return.

FAMILY FLOORING AMERICA. The floors in our home were repaired and refinished after water damage in the kitchen. The work costs in the 10's of thousands of dollars. The many woods planks were replaced. The end result was poor workman ship. Many of the planks are warped. Many of the shoe strips do not match the floor. While it seemed like a good company to work with the end result will haunt me every time I cross the kitchen.

We are a service provider in Bucks County PA. We have been with HomeAdvisor / Angie's List for over 9 years. At 160.00 a lead, over 9 years, we may have had roughly 60 good leads. Because of this, we would freeze our account and pay $35.00 per month just for the visual on AL. Every time we received a lead that was BS, we called and got the run-around as to why they could not refund for the "fake lead". I just cancelled with them today and was told that if I stay on, they will refund me for today's bad lead, $160.00. I'm done. The leads are low quality and never guaranteed, which wouldn't cut so deep if not at that price. Chima Contracting.

I had an appointment scheduled for 1PM on Saturday. Without any notice, it was changed to 3PM. At 3PM, I was told the professional had a flat tire and would arrive by 4PM. By 4:30PM, nobody had shown up. Instead, I was told the professional claimed they had already come, waited 30 minutes, and left. That’s simply not true. I was home all day with my kids, actively calling both Angi and the provided number for updates. Nobody called, nobody texted, nobody knocked, and even Angi couldn’t reach the professional. If he truly had been at my house at 4PM, I would have known. After wasting my entire Saturday, they still tried to charge me 50% of the fee when I asked to cancel. This experience was unprofessional, dishonest, and unacceptable. I strongly advise anyone considering them to look elsewhere if you value your time and want reliable service.

I purchased a new garbage disposal from Lowe's and the installation was set up to be through Angi. The installer arrived and told me I had the wrong connector cord and would need to reschedule through Lowe’s. I went immediately to Lowe’s to buy the correct cord and reschedule. Lowe’s called Angi to get me rescheduled and I was told by Angi I’d receive an email sometime in the next two days. Two days passed and I didn’t receive an email. I called the customer service number, and spoke with a very nice representative from Lowe's who told me I would receive an email in another two days. Two more days pass, and no email. I went back to Lowe's and spoke with an incredibly kind employee who called the scheduler for Angi again. I was told it would be another two days.

When I contacted Angi to hire sheet rock experts, I received bogus calls from contractors who were not in my area and most of them said they only worked for businesses. Angi's commercials misrepresent customers who simply need help with jobs for their homes. I did not even want to answer my phone anymore when I was constantly told "I only handle bigger businesses". I needed two rooms of sheet rock done (not a small job). Angi needs to stop acting like they help homeowners....They don't!!!

Recently my garage door came crashing down, off the rails and broken. Luckily father and son DJ and Danny ** called me and arrived at my house within an hour. My door is 15 years old and I was told by another company that parts were obsolete and I needed a new $3500. door. DJ gave me an attractive quote for the repair and said that he knew my door type well and was certain he could fix it in no time. They found a cracked left lower bracket and detached broken cables. The guys had my door working like new, with new parts and beautifully tuned, within an hour and a half. They are friendly, polite, neat and diligent workers. I highly recommend them and would hire them again in a heartbeat.

Phil and Rich did an excellent job soft washing our pool deck, pool screen and sidewalks. They were on time, very professional, congenial, fast, and a pleasure to do business with. Hire them. You can thank me later!!!

During the last big storm last week, my roof leak became much worse. I consulted Angi and took a recommendation to contact Gemini Roofing. Mike **, (the owner/operator) returned my call the same day, which was Sunday and came out to make an assessment of the job. We agreed on a price; his crew arrived on Tuesday and completed the job that same day. Mike was with the crew the entire job. He and his crew were courteous and skilled. I would highly recommend Gemini for their integrity and work ethic.

Warning to Small Businesses About Angi. I moved to the U.S. with my family 4 months ago. We have our documents, but we needed to start earning fast, so we launched our family cleaning business. We built a website and ran ads on Thumbtack. Things started to go well. For some reason, I also decided to sign up for Angi. My experience with this service was so frustrating that I feel I have to write a detailed report to warn others.

We bought a new kitchen faucet to replace our leaking one and also have a shower needing a new temperature control. I went to Angi's and got 4 estimates, Mike Counsil was 2nd highest but I thought I could trust them. They quoted $700 to replace the faucet. They charged me $1,000 for a bracket they added without asking. For no good reason they needed to go under the house, quoted me $40,000 to replace drain pipes they called bad. They took the not working thermostat off the shower for a week, but they couldn't find a replacement and quoted $2,000 to replace complete shower fixture and tear down the hall wall.

Hi used a contractor that Angi’s list told me was five-star. They were not. I had a lot of trouble, they started seven months late, messiest job site, ruined my windows, etc. Got many things wrong and I went to Angi’s list to do a negative review and they will not accept a negative review. I’ll never use Angi’s list again nor will I use Lucky Underwood contracting.

I'm shocked that Walmart would use Angi services to assemble their AMYET Bikes. Hector T. was scheduled to provide services, but there was a No Call/No Show. I ended up cancelling my order with Walmart because of Angi's unreliable Services. After I canceled with Walmart, Amazon had the same item for a lower price....

A360 for dryer repair in Portland, OR was diligent in searching for parts. Employee Guillermo followed through and had good communication. He is very trustworthy and an asset to his company. I would highly recommend this company.

The first person who did some handyman type services was professional, attentive, and good. One item required electrical work on the outlet in the master bath. He shared upfront he might not be able to fix it, and decided a master electrician would be needed. Given the short time it would take for such to be sent to our home I offered that he just leave the wires exposed till then. No one ever came back. I called the business that had provided the first person - but received no responses. So not the fault of the handyman originally sent to us. But eventually I had to pay someone on my own to get the work completed.

Using Angi was a terrible choice. When Angi was Angie's List, it was a great source for finding credible service providers. I will never use Angi again. There is nothing more to say about my bad experience using Angi than that it was horrible.

Angi ripped me off, sent my company leads that were dead, or not looking for an estimate. Charged me $200 for each one. In a legal battle now because they sent our company to collections, we have proof with screenshots between client and company proving the client was pushed into asking for an estimate. My profile said we charge for estimates, Angi sent us clients who were expecting a free estimate then charged us for each one even though the clients would cancel when they found out we charge an estimate fee but credit it back.

I hired plumbing guy through Angie's List. He was ** guy. He messed up my shower room and 4 bath rooms. He had no experience and no integrity. Now, I hired professional contractor to do it again. It costs almost $55,000. I do not recommend Angie's list. Find the worker through your friends, neighbors, and others.

Four neighbors and I hired Banda Services of LaBelle, Florida to address an erosion problem. We agreed we needed grading, topsoil soil and lay sod. It was evident immediately that sod was dead in certain areas. They admitted the sod had been sitting out too long. They assured us, they would replace the sod in two to three weeks if it didn’t adhere. Additionally, they assured us, they would not leave the project until we gave them our okay. Unfortunately, we all paid them immediately, and sod is all dead and project never finished. Now they are not answering our calls and texts. Now we have to hire a reputable company to fix the problem.

I’m writing this review so anyone who is reading, please don’t get Angi. I was dumb enough to believe that when they call me constantly and very persistent and offering me a bunch leads and a lot work, they put the sky on my head. No nothing is true, the only truth is that your money will be wasted and they will not do anything when it comes to customer service. They don’t care after you become a member, you are on your own and how they work is they send the same lead to more then 10 companies and you has to lower your price to get anything if your luck so no people specially new contractors and Spanish speaking don’t get this app work and something else it will be worth is you spend money on Google or other real apps. Angi is the biggest legal expert and steal your money, hopefully this can help anyone.

Horrible. The site dead. Waste of time. Does not give a list without your number. And your phone instantly blows up. You don't even get the list afterwards. So basically the Angie's List was pointless. Won't use again.

Years ago, I found very reliable (they showed up). After they were "bought out" I have not found anyone reliable. I look for gutter cleaning, the person dispatched was through Lowe's and did not bring a tall enough ladder! Obviously left and on one else was sent for the open work order. They charged me over $400 for the gutter cleaning that did not happen, their response was that they had to pay for the person's time. They did end up refunding after much back and forth. I cancelled the membership but noticed they are still charging me. Very frustrating.

Hired a plumber off of this. He came when he said, did not have any of the right stuff to fix the issue. We sent him detailed picks and info, started the project and left. Had no water the last 2 days because he said he would be back to fix the rest, the next day, will not return phone calls or messages. Will never use this site agin...anyone thinking of using this site ...run.
