Service Providers should beware! Angi Leads (formerly Home Advisor and Angie's List) will promise you that you will receive all these leads and increase business, however, the truth being that when you call these customers, many yell that they did not put in any request! They say they were just looking on that site and did not want to be contacted at all, others just don't even bother to respond, and the majority of the rest say they already completed the project. A few many be actual clients looking for service but it is not enough for what they charge. They charge you for these leads anyway, issuing courtesy credits once in a while, meanwhile the remaining time saying they don't promise any credits, despite the list of reasons on the 'request a credit' link. They claim credits are only a courtesy, meanwhile giving you nothing for your hard earned dollars and time spent on fake leads.

Was a wonderful and great experience. RMJ has done a wonderful job each time they have done work on our home. I would hands down refer them to anyone and everyone! Thanks again RMJ Company for a job well done!

While submitting my review, the app did not give the proper stars and the website stopped working. I tried restarting the website but it did not work. There was no way to edit the review. I hope there is a resolution for this problem.

Having long ago poor tech service, every tech no matter what the job hired through Angi has been professional and did great work at fair prices. The entire matter of hiring a service tech is to get the job done properly and at a fair price. All service techs I have ever hired through Angi have fulfilled this need.

Updated on 07/05/2022: Timothy ** Was deceptive In his attempts to get me to sign a release agreement that under compensated my losses incurred. 5th consumer protection law: The right to disclosure and information. I asked Tim **, ** and Kaleigh ** If the settlement money was coming from their insurance or some other fund no one wouldn't tell me. 6th consumer right: the right to redress to receive a fair settlement. There is a bit of discrepancy between my losses and Timothy ** final offer. This short fall is legally considered damages.

I scheduled 2 full days of handyman services via Angi. Two days before the scheduled visit I cancelled the appointment. I was billed a $15 fee for rescheduling even though I had rescheduled with adequate advance notice, thereby meeting requirements for a non-fee cancellation. I complained to the company and the $15 fee was refunded. However, one day later I was charged $535 for the services even though these services were never provided (the website says the services will not billed until after they are provided). I sent another complaint to the company but did not receive a prompt response, so now I have opened a disputed charge process with my credit card company and have been told I need to wait one month for the fees to be reversed. I am frankly stunned by how bad the service has been, and will never use Angi again for any services.

Called to have baseboards replaced. Company was excellent, came on time, told us how much and how long it would take and they were right. Very pleasant people to work with and they kept the house clean by doing the sawing outdoors. I will definitely have them back for my next project later this year. Thank you Angi for having them on your list.

I have an uncomfortable feeling that at least some of the recommended service providers enhanced their ratings or visibility somehow. I didn't feel that way when you were plain old "Angie's List". I much preferred the old format when I could see ALL service providers, regardless of their ratings.

The project was performed professionally, completed in the estimated time, and resolved our basement issues. The crew, lead by Stephen **, along with his associates, Julio and Mauricio, were polite, respectful of our property, and very professional. Should we ever require additional services, we would call upon AFS.

Found who I needed when I needed at the cost I needed. I would use Angie again and they reached out a week later to know if I was contacted and how they could help. That was good because my work was already completely done.

Lyndee did an excellent job, was punctual, worked steadily, worked efficiently, was very pleasant, and liked animals. She is very thorough and is a self-starter and I would hire her again. She also helped move things around, asked when she had a question..passed the white glove test.

Site was very easy to navigate. It's nice to have a popular and proven place to come to get honest reviews for future work by being able to separate the good from the bad. Too many fly by night outfits out here looking to scam people out of their money. Thank you Angi!

I cannot say enough good about this company! I put in a request after hours for a move the next day hoping that I would get a call in the morning. I received a call that same night!!! I was impressed with that … then the quote he gave me was ON POINT. And no hidden fees. Not only did I get a call back but they were able to accommodate me the next day… less than 24 hours later! Then they showed up ON TIME!!! I was working and got caught in the phone but they were patient and friendly! They were quick and efficient! I’m so impressed with this company!! I give them 10 stars!!! They are amazing!

I gave a negative review of a company after 5 years of problems. It finally worked and I agreed to take down the negative review. I HAVE DONE THIS TWICE. It doesn't show on my reviews but continues to show under theirs. I have been on hold for over 2 hours. The phone message directs me to a live chat option at the bottom of their page. IT DOES NOT EXIST. I need to speak to a person. I will never use this company again for anything.

The response I got from contractors was a bit of a surprise, positively. In the hot Miami market I didn't expect much. I was also pleasantly surprised by Angi's direct follow up via phone. The only downside was the constant push to submit more projects.

Scheduled service for 1 week ago today. ANGI just rescheduled for 6th time in one week. Called customer service. Hung up on 3 times. Not sure where the good reviews come from (employees / stock holders?). The Better Business Bureau revoked their membership (check it out). The stock ANGI has dropped almost 50% in the last 6 months (check it out). If you are a potential customer, investor or employee, "Let the Buyer Beware!"

Yes I would recommend to anyone, very professional and very fast. And they are affordable, called them and immediately got a response, came in, did an estimate and started the next day working and they were done before you know it.

Hired Robert's Hauling & Demolition from Angi. He did a great job. He showed up when he said he would, Robert hauled off several piles of concrete and even remover some concrete from the ground, After loading all of the concrete his crew picked up and swept the site.

I was happy to see that I could not only get bids on Angi but also get some advice on my project through their Project Advisor Program. However, when the appointment time came around I received a call with nobody on the other line. After this happened twice I called back. After 2 holds and 15 minutes I got a message saying nobody was available. What a waste of my time! Not a good way to market a service.

Using ANGI services really saved me a lot of time and effort to have a list of all pre selected contractors based on my project needs chosen for me right away, instead of searching for them myself. Great resource. I would recommend.

Scott ** was awesome! He removed and installed a toilet, changed 2 locks and removed and replaced 2 kick plates. He was very neat with all of his work. Scott put down drop cloths and once he was complete, he used his hand vac to clean up any mess he made. He was very pleasant and we feel we made a new friend in Scott. He will be doing more work for us as well as our neighbor talked to him too. Thank you.

This man has great integrity and professionalism. He was there when he said he would be, did what he said he would at a high level of performance, helped me when I got the work order done! I would definitely hire him again, and would recommend him to others.

This was my first time using the service. I submitted a service request to 3 companies, but only one replied. I was very happy with the moving company and their and services. Their price was in line with what I have paid in the past; They didn’t charge for every little thing like steps and levels. Angi has a good selection of services and providers.

I have utilized Angi 2 times and on both times I was very disappointed. The first time was for someone to install 2 doors. After 6 months the doors were installed but one door would not close and the second was installed crooked. It cost me more to fix it. Today's contractor never showed after canceling 2x prior. I have rescheduled for a different contractor with the hopes that this one appears. I'm not convinced it will take place. Used Angi 2x, disappointed 2x meaning I'm 100% dissatisfied with this company.

Mike was quick to respond to my request and his price was reasonable. Mike was easy to work with, took the time to explain the process and was able to make recommendations. I would definitely recommend Mike-MCM Construction for your business or personal needs.

I scheduled a yard cleanup. The person that came left before doing the job and never came back. The only solution offered to me was to get a 50% refund and a new service scheduled. The second person never showed up. Now they want to charge me an additional $207 to get the job done. That would be $350 total for my tiny yard! I had to cancel the third scheduled appointment to avoid paying this ridiculous amount. Bottom line I have paid $140 and my yard looks the same as when I started. Huge scam!!!

I trust Angi's - in BOTH their reviews and clientele. Anytime I'm in need of a service that I've not previously used, I can count on Angi's to help me make the right choice. A good source and a wealth of reviews make it easy for me!

David ** of Total Home Roofing arrived very promptly and explained his company services. I really did not know about peel seal as this was my first experience of handling this myself. He made me feel comfortable and explained everything. The workmen arrived prior to 7am on the first day. Could not believe it but they worked till after 6:30pm on first day. Next day inspection. 3rd day here they came at 6:45am and finished at Noon. Amazing. Quality workmanship. I will highly recommend David and his Company "Total Home Roofing". Oh the price was very competitive with everyone else I had bids by. Thank you David.

When leaving a review, the 'submit review' button provokes a lot of anxiety because it implies that this the final step and there is no allotment for attaching photos.... It really should say 'next step' or something, or just continue scrolling down!

DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. I made an appt to have a Handyman change overhead lights in my condo and change AC filter. The appt time came and went and no one showed. When I called AL, I was told that the Handyman "said he had some type of personal emergency" and he would not be there. I was disappointed at his not offering another time, but the Lady I talked to assured me I would NOT be charged. Several hours later I checked my bank account and I could see a charge of 125.52 had been debited from my account - and the same amount credited back. All on the same date. Today I see the 125.52 once again debited from my account. The Rep at AL says it will take 3-5 days to put the money back. I still have to hire someone else, so I need MY money back to pay them. These people are NOT Trustworthy. They should have a -0- rating.

Chris came in at the end of a kitchen project that had gone wrong with a prior contractor and got the job done right. He was a one man team when he wired a small galley kitchen in 5 short days which seemed like a very reasonable time frame all while coordinating with the new contractors we hired. He added USB plugs, a new circuit breaker in the basement and brought new life to a 1980's kitchen up to today's standards in 5 days spread out over 3 weeks. He walked into a fully gutted kitchen after a traumatizing 6 month experience with very bad contractors and Chris was a breath of fresh air and a master of his trade and I feel confident knowing he did the work down to the studs and he takes pride in his work.

I had 2 projects with them. The first one was for air conditioner repair. The advisor Zach asked me what day I wanted and I told him Monday or Tuesday. He said he would get back to me. I heard from him once on Friday by text, stating he was working on it. Never heard back, didn't respond to my texts. The ** number I called several times that following Wednesday (the number they said I have to call) but it just rang and rang. I had paid a $25 deposit with Zach, working to get that back. The 2nd project was for a plumber to change a couple of filters on my reverse osmosis system. He came out, looked at it, then said he had to get tools from his truck. He went out to his truck and drove off. Never came back. I had paid almost $200 in advance, but Angi's said they would refund it. All my calls to 8xx numbers went offshore and some pretty hard-to-understand folks, but I am getting used to that...

Not only they clean my windows they also remove every wasp around my home bless their heart. That was not part of the agreement but they did it. I could give them more than 5 star reviews. Outstanding job. Thanks Kenya and Carlos.

I am a business owner who signed up for a 1 year contract to Advertise on Angie's List before they merged companies. My 1 year signed contract was up in Feb of 2022. I was not aware that they automatically renew your subscription by sending me an email during the Holiday season on Dec 29th, 2021 and if I don't take action or see or read the email they automatically keep taking money every month out of my account for advertising I no longer wanted. I did not see the email they sent to me BUT I did email the account manager in Feb to make sure that everything was over and were all done with our contract. I never heard back then later found out that he was no longer employed at Angi's List. I should have received a phone call when they did not hear back from me.

We couldn’t be happier with the end product, as well as the entire process. Carl of Guarco Construction in Granby, CT was responsive, communicative, and thorough from start to finish. He was flexible with scheduling all the pre-planning and site work in addition to planning the final paving; nothing was rushed and he was honest with all ground conditions and concerns. An added plus, he always answered his phone whenever I called to talk about the project. Price was great and would highly recommend.

First guy left the job only part way done. He showed up an hour late, spent the next 1 1/4 hours fixing his equipment. Left my pool in pieces. Had to wait 2 days for new worker. He sent a text at 3:45 am that the job was not enough money so he wasn’t coming. He was supposed to be here at 8. First experience they said they would refund my money in 3-5 days. Second experience I called them at 8 am to report that their guy was not coming. I got charged anyway and now have to wait 3-5 days for that money back. They charged even though they knew no one was coming to do the work. What a rip off!!! And if I want someone to still come I have to wait 2 days!!!! I am elderly and disabled and they don’t care.

I contacted Angi's to get my lawn mowed. I was informed by Angi that a contractor would cut my lawn on 5/18 for an agreed price. On that date, I received an email from Angi telling me that it postponed the service until 5/20. On 5/20, I received another email from Angi telling me that it postponed the service until 5/22. I called Angi and was told that it had no contractor to cut my lawn, but hoped to get one by 5/22. It could not guarentee that my lawn would be cut on 5/22. This is unacceptable. Angi agreed to cut my lawn and twice didn't do it. When I signed up for the service and gave it my credit card, I was not told that Angi may not perform what it agreed to do. I will never use this service again.

This note of gratitude for a job well done for my new backyard fence. The fence looks great and is what we wanted. There was an initial issue with one section, but Gerald and his crew returned quickly and fixed the issue. Gerald and his crew also did a great job carefully working around the plants and bushes. I highly recommend Reliable Fence and Gerald's crew to anyone looking for a new fence.

Angi List was a complete scam for our company. If you want them to suck several hundreds of dollars from you for nothing sign up. Their leads didn't manifest to anything. When we complained they still charged us for leads. The only way to completely stop them from sucking money from our account was to change our bank card. And then to top it off they turned us over to collections for a "lead" that was garbage. Several leads were to people who would never answer their phone or respond. I think they make up fake leads so they can charge you a fortune for nothing. Horrible scam!!!!

Josh H was very nice, hard worker, and did a thorough job. I would definitely use him again if I need work done. I highly recommend him. He’s energetic and you can tell he wants to do a highly satisfactory job.

LFG Arbor Care (found through Angi.com) showed up on time, worked quickly, did a great clean-up, and even did some extra trimming that was not on the contract for free! Price was right in line w/ typical costs. I definitely recommend!

Very professional. Very helpful to direct me in what to do. He did not do the job but he told me what to do. I would recommend him for sure. I contacted the maker of the cabinet like he told me but they said they did not do repair work. I had to contact someone who sells. He gave me a vendor.

Andy and his crew was great, very attentive, very professional, and very knowledgeable. He did great work, fast, organized. They Remove the solar panels in one day, then came back. Did the entire roof replacement in one day, and then came back and installed and tested the solar panels to make sure everything worked. Excellent job.

Here's a description of the AC Ducts and Vent Cleaning provided by Angi: The man shows up with a hand brush and a hand vacuum. He doesn't turn the AC off and proceeds to remove the vents and dust them out. Then uses his hand vacuum to clean the frame of the ducts and puts the vents back in place. He also dusted out the dryer's vent. Angi charged me $285. - for this 15 minute job.

Have found website less than intuitive and using it without a login did not provide any useful information. I only received an opportunity to receive estimates and was unable to locate vendors for a simple review. Definitely not what I had been looking for. I will try again with a login.

Do not get conned into this service. It is a scam. I signed up for a service and it was confirmed for a set date. They said that there are many providers available to accept the job. They took our card information and we signed up for a membership. Today I log in and my date is changed. They did not inform me nor did they provide a contractor's information. They feed you some bull so you will sign up for their annual discounts. Do not feed into it. IT IS A SCAM.

I trusted that Angie would be a legitimate business who stands behind the work of its contractors. All I needed was a shower spigot and the hot and cold hardware installed. This contractor hammered through the tile in my shower which left a gaping hole breaking the tiles. He left with debris and packing materials all over. He said he would try to find the same tiles and come back in a few days to repair the hole. Customer service was zero help. I was told they would reverse the service charge on my card (around $168). What about the charges the contractor made during his two trips to Home Depot since arrived without the appropriate tools. What about the huge hole in my shower? What about the broken tiles?? DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Good plumber Plumbing Co. from Malvern, AR. Found a great, professional plumber thru Angi. Great service when you are looking for reviews and need to know a little bit about a service, especially a young company that is building a track record. Love to use a local company that benefits local people instead of a national chain.

Do NOT use Your 1 Plumber! They charged me for materials that I supplied myself, and for services they did not provide. When brought to their attention, they simply changed the wording on the invoice, but did not adjust the price. They knew it was a homeowners insurance claim, so they jacked their prices up significantly. When I disputed the price, they went into my bank account (they had my banking info from a previous transaction) and stole $1000 without my authorization, then threatened to take more if I gave them a bad review. Wilmer was very belligerent and disrespectful and showed very poor customer service.

I have used Angi for around 10 years to select professionals to make repairs and renovate my home. By and large, I have found excellent companies to do the work. I find the process works best when I read the reviews and contact multiple providers to get an estimate. Also, I make sure that I hire the provider to the work in what he/she specializes and anything more. I can think of only one instance where I wouldn’t use that person again and that was for a web design.

First Jacob responded immediately by calling to confirm receipt of our request. He called as well when he was on his way to our home. He is a very impressive young man. Very respectful and responsible. We would definitely use him when needed.

Sequencing available resources made the experience easy Step1, 2, etc. Very pleased with final project-quality, promptness and very good character of the service person handling my specific need. We hired Scott from A Cut Above Tree Service. Great job! Price was right! Scott and his crew worked hard, were polite and respectful. We had four large oak trees and it took most of the day. They stayed with it until it was complete.

I used Angi for my roof, gutters and driveway to find professional companies that produce great results. I also looked to find companies that did NOT gouge you for the work done. I did my homework. I recommend for homeowners to use Angi.

I had issues with the main sewer line clog. JTM Plumbing came out on Thursday to clear the drain. On Friday I was still having issues they came out again immediately first thing in the morning. They ran the camera and snaked the drain again for a second time with no charge. These guys are amazing. I would highly recommend them to everyone.

The quality of painting and the work done was very good. They always kept me up to date. They did really good in cleaning after themselves and keeping it organized. I will use them in my next project and have referred them to couple of my friends.

Angie's is OK if you don't know where to start, but you're much better off asking your friends and neighbors for recommendations. Like Yelp and other online platforms, Angie's charges companies for placement and ads and will suppress negative reviews. Be careful of leaving your primary phone or email on Agni's because you will get SWAMPED with companies hustling, hustling, hustling for work. Make sure you get multiple quotes as the companies will try to close you fast to get the job. Never pay the entire amount up front to ensure all the work gets done. I thought I had closed out a project then I got a call from an Angie's CSR in the Philippines pushing me to hire one of their contractors. Also this call spoofed my area code so I'd pick up. This is spammy, aggressive behavior unbefitting an honest consumer platform. Remember, if you're not paying for the platform, you're the product, not the customer.

2 limbs were trimmed from tree and disposed of. Tree now looks nicely balanced and it's no longer leaning on roof. Leonel ** was very courteous and professional. They left everything neat and clean. They were very accommodating with scheduling. I would hire South Green Tree again and recommend them highly.

The Angi Survey would not accept my present password that was three or four years since the last update. The Angi process to update password took three tries to update password. This all started after I completed a survey for a very recent roof coating job done by a Angi contractor.

I was extremely pleased with the work and would recommend DMR to anyone that needs some electrical work. He did what he said he would do and when he said he would do it. I rarely write reviews, but I felt I needed to because I was so pleased with his work.

Jason and company did a very thorough job cleaning moss and algae off my roof and side of my house. The job was not easy and took a while but they stuck it out and beat that nasty stuff. They were very respectful of my property and did a very good job cleaning up. I would recommend them to anyone needing their type of service.

Had issue with the contractor that I hired, complained about it Angie's List, long story short, the complaint department turned it around on me. Spend 10's of thousands of dollars and got third rate work, and third rate treatment. Find another way, do not, I repeat emphatically, do not fall for the scam of Angie's List. Not worth the dollar you pay for. I rate this a NO Star.

Scammed me. Pro refused to do the work I paid for while I wasn't there and tricked my landlord into paying her on the side and said she'd complete the work. She then left and didn't do the job. I had reached out to Angie's List to report this and they said I wasn't charged... yet I was because my landlord charged me for what he paid her. Angie's List then said she completed the work and said I was lying, so they paid her for the job she did not complete, on top of her receiving money on the side because she refused to do the job I paid for in advance with a "guarantee."

I actually forgot I subscribed to Angi. So when I needed a professional service and remembered Angie’s List (old name) I was hopeful. It worked great! Found the professional in one day - had the work completed within the week. Great experience for me! I won’t forget I’m an Angi subscriber again!!

Angi offers a free service, but when signing up to get a list of contractors, I reached a page that told me I had to sign up for a paid membership to Angi. It did not tell me how much I had to pay, but it did say my membership would automatically renew. It did not say how often. I find this to be misleading and fraudulent. No one has to pay anything to use Angi, but Angi tries to trick you into paying anyway. This does not seem honest or legal.

Scales Construction is the best and most reasonable construction company I have used. They do excellent work and take care of the customer. They are timely in doing the work and do an outstanding job of clean up after the project is done.

I've used other contractors for home improvement on your service before and they were awesome. I would definitely recommend another company we enjoyed working with Builder Direct LLC out of Lenexa and Kansas City. They did our Siding and Window Installation. Guys are Amazing.

Very professional, prompt and helpful to assure I got what I wanted and expected. Installed a movie theater and Sonos remote room audio. Ken was very helpful and completed the installation in a timely manner. Cost was acceptable and equipment was high quality.

Bottom line: absolutely zero accountability or reliability. Twice the "pro" canceled on me. The first time it was the week of Christmas; the second time not only at the last minute but 45 minutes *after* she was supposed to have arrived! Angi does nothing to prevent this from happening. They do not value their customers. As a customer, I cannot cancel at the last minute, but the "pro" is able to do this?! There should be a consequence for NO SHOW as there is in any field. The employee or company should be REMOVED from the list so no customer has to be duped into hiring them!

This is a bad website that only care about the business rather than the consumer. They only keep the positive reviews and filtering negative ones. They get paid by the businesses and they do all they can to protect them. I posted a review about my bad experience with a business that advertises on their website, provided them with evidence, invoice and the text communication I had with the business and Angie refused to publish my feedback.

Couldn't have asked for any better service! He was professional, communication was easy and quick, he was prompt, and did a great job, I will definitely be using him again and referring him to anybody that I know that needs power washing services.

They offer very good service and the agent is always professional and on time! I love the way they communicate through text messages. The price is very affordable and they keep their appointment times!! When there is an issue they call and explain to you what is wrong and give you as much information possible.

We needed a painting contractor to repaint the exterior of our home and Angi connected us with the right company for our paint project. We could not be happier with the painter we chose. We will be using Angi for all our future home repair needs.

We split from a business partner in April 2021. At that time I told Angi they were keeping the old account and we wanted to open a new account with them and they said it was fine. They were gaining a contract so they were happy. I told them all of my information and my husband needed to be removed from the past account. So we opened our account, fulfilled our contract and did not renew.

My original quote, even with pictures, was $1600 more. For 4 days storage I was charge an extra total month charge of $425. No prorating. Movers could not set up the adjustable bed, and put on a frame, just left the electrical parts taped. My 2nd bed, they did not put it on a frame, as that one was lost. It was set up with pieces of wood underneath for support.. A brand new, never used 6x8 rug and an entire box; bedding, linens, blankets and knife set with sheath was LOST.

I had several light fixtures replaced today by Alex with Haas and Sons Electric, Inc. We were very pleased with his courteous, professional work. I thought the price was very fair as it was a big job: 3 chandeliers and 6 flush mounts.

I wanted One Way. I requested one way several times only to get other companies. Angi never contacted One Way. I had to contact them on my own. Found their information on other site. I wrote a review for One Way and it did not post to their business. Angie has a nice profile of One Way but the only link that works for them is the phone number, all other contact options go to other companies even reviews.

I tried to use Angi and never got one response. I stopped using Angie’s List a long time ago, because I did not want to pay. I was far more successful in using Home Advisor and Thumbtack. Ironically, I asked for recommendations on Next Door, and received 4-5 great recommendations. So much for rebranding....

I am a Licensed Roofing Contractor in California. I received a call from David ** from Angi-Asking me if I would like to advertise with them. I told him No Thank You. He continued to explain to me how it all worked and that I would greatly benefit from using their service to receive leads. I signed up, with the clear understanding that my leads could be paused-Which I have had them paused the entire week. Today, My Credit Card was charged $1,500.00 and they are planning to hit it again for another $ 800.00. I had a $1,000 Per Month limit-And my leads were paused.

I've been with Angi (Angie's List) for many years. When I need something done around the house it's the first place I go. I haven't been disappointed with the providers that I've selected through Angi.

I listed my problem on Angi and Jared was quick to respond. (Two other companies contacted me quickly, as well) We were in communication about my two problems with required much more than a basic handyman. I explained my two unusual situations. Jared arrived on time well-equipped for the challenges - including a blow torch, which was required. Not only tools, but brains and brawn were required to solve my problems. Jared had all three. I am very pleased with his work and his professionalism. He will be my first call fix-it man in the future. I highly recommend Jared **.

I had an exterior door put in. The handyman broke floor tiles, the door is not square or flush with the wall, my screen no longer fits and has damage, pieces of the frame were broken and put back in the frame that way. When I called to complain is was told to contact my insurance company and maybe they may reimburse so if it. 1500 dollars to fix this mess. I’ll never use this terrible service again. Beware whoever uses it. They obviously don’t vet the people who work for them or this person wouldn’t work for them.

I highly recommend Roof Recovery for all your roofing repairs and replacement. I needed some roof repair done on our tile roof and called Roof Recovery. Andrew came out and provided an estimate that was reasonable and he was very professional. The team of guys that came out and completed the work was professional, knowledgeable, and cleaned up amazing around my home. They also let me know if there were other issues and provided photos for me to actually see what was needed. When the work was completed Relu emailed me all of the photos during and after repairs. I appreciated actually seeing how my roof looked before and after the completion of the work.

Over the past year I have tried to use Angie's List, but no luck. Contractors supplied did not do the work requested. Yet Angie's rep keeps calling to give me more. I found several without Angie's. Angie's at one time was great but in recent years has fall off. I cannot waste my time and then have contractors calling me constantly who cannot do the job.

I've been a customer of Angi since 1999. I love the ratings and reviews, but I dislike that I can no longer put in a professional name and have it pop up with ratings and reviews. Instead I have to select the work I want performed and then hunt through the list to see if the pro I am looking for is rated. I also don't like that Angi wants to put me in touch pros. That should be an option upfront that I can select. I generally want to find my own pros but Angi wants to find them for me. That may work for others, but not for me. In summary, I liked the old Angie's List not the new Angi.

Noel worked magic repairing the sliding door on our balcony. Our building, which is right at the ocean with all the corrosion that involves, is more than 50 years old, and I think the sliding door was part of original construction. (We have owned our apartment for more than 20 years.) The door was dangerous. It was old, wobbly, stuck and appeared hopeless. I feared a $5,000+ replacement would be necessary. It probably would have been if anyone other than Noel tried to repair the door. He is a determined, skillful craftsman and truly expert, especially for such a young man. He was creative analyzing the problems with the door and window, thinking through the solution and doing it in a professionally expert way.

Called Angi-got an appointment for the 15th of April. Man comes on the 13th and said he would order what we needed and do the job. On the 15th someone else shows up and wants to do the job. They sent out two different people. Today the job is finished by the first man and he wants to be paid. We had already paid Angi by credit card and told him so. Cannot speak to anyone who knows anything about anything! We are stopping the charge and paying the man directly. But after two phone calls and not being able to speak to a supervisor and the run around we received, we will not be doing business with them EVER!!!

I am 80 years old in Ca., still own a number of rentals. I contacted Angi for routine carpet cleaning. "Pro" showed up on-time. After he found out how much Angi had charged me, he claimed he only got half. He quit, said machine broke and would come back to finish. He never did. House is in a mess. I contacted Angi. They asked me to take pictures. It seems they are on the side of the Pros, i.e. more interested to maintain a pool of people willing to work cheap, than to satisfy customers.

Good morning - Wednesday, April 13, 2022. I am very disappointed about the overall experience I had to arrange for lawn service. It has involved contact with many people for a simple service that originally had a strange address for me in Oregon and then was cancelled early this morning (90 minutes before he was to arrive) and rescheduled without any call with me.

Moved a 7x7 hot tub through 4’ gate to a patio. It was a VERY difficult move. After about 2 weeks of issues we finally got it done. Once they got it picked up I was extremely happy with their service.

Angi (otherwise known as Angie's, Angie's List, Angi Leads, Angi Ads). I am a local Kansas City contractor in home and commercial repair and maintenance. I have a five star reputation because I am honest and treat my customers with the respect and dignity they deserve. I have a stellar reputation for reasonable (blue collar) pricing for my labor and do not make a profit on material costs. Having said that, I signed up with Angi (formerly Angie's List) for Adv. services three years ago. Up until about September of 2021, I was receiving a decent volume of quality prospect leads. In the the seven months it's been extremely bad.

I applied for some work to be done on Angie's List. I was told that the person would be at my home on a certain day. Took off work and received a text the morning of that the work was reset for another day. Called the company and I was told they would give me a full refund but, they charged my card anyway. I will NEVER do business on Angie's List again.

They will promise you the world and then when they fail to deliver they will just start charging your card directly. There are much better ways to get leads, spend your money on GOOGLE LSA! You'll be glad you did!!! ZERO accountability and a whole crap ton of dead leads with bad contact info and when you "request credit" they deny it! If you try contacting customer service they tell you once it's denied it's too late for them to help you. Very frustrating experience so far.

I used Orange Square Movers to move my family from our 2 bedroom apartment in Colorado to Arizona. This company was extremely responsive & professional in the way they moved us. It only took them a couple of hours to load up our home. It was about 4 guys; all very respectful & nice. They got us moved from Colorado to Arizona with no issues. Best company I've used to date. 10/10 would recommend and would use them again.

Had them do our entire exterior, including stucco, all wood trim, gables, windows, and deck staining. Outstanding work. Very precise, careful, meticulous. Trustworthy and honest. They encountered several windows/doors with rotten wood and replaced these as needed. Filled in stucco from woodpecker holes. Barry has a small, well-managed, hard-working crew that did an excellent job. He communicates well about what needs to be done to do job right, as opposed to just throwing on a single coat of paint. Would hire him again without question.

Re wallpaper installer. Angi says all of their subcontractors have at least 5 yrs exp. The individual that came had very little experience. Not only didn’t he do a good job, he caused a fire with cigarette.

Can't thank Jill, Rachel, Jason, David, and the rest of PII team enough!! I know these guys are crazy busy with all these hurricane losses, but they still managed to fit me in quickly. I had to get a new roof, and when David came out to do my re-inspection, the roofers still weren't done enough with my job for him to do his, despite promises to the contrary. He was nice enough to come back the next day (on a weekend) and complete my re-inspection so that I could move forward with my insurance company. These folks are seriously awesome. I won't use anyone else for home inspections after this experience. I'm sure there's other great companies out there, but why shop around when you already have the good stuff? Thank you, PII!!!!

I do not recommend using ANGI. They are the worst. They do not have managers or supervisors to speak with directly. Was told to call back hours later to get refund for service that was not provided. The gentleman who came had no experience in what he was doing. He suggested I hire someone who had knowledge in what I needed done. Way to go Angi, when someone specifically spells out what and who they are looking for they send any Joe Schmo just to get their money.

I contacted them for their interior painting services, and they came out same day for the estimate. Moises was very professional and completed the painting one day before the expected completion date. My dining and bedrooms came out beautiful. I plan to use Diamond and finishing next month for my exterior painting next month. Thanks Moises for such a great job!

Trying to pick a roofer can be a very stressful time. Too many choices, many things to think about. Right from the start Luna put us at ease. Andrew did not put on the hard sell, he was honest about cost, scope etc. He answered our many questions and never put down other companies, like some of the others we met with did. Once we signed the contract Stephanie in the front office was so helpful setting up a date and communicating to us every step of the way. The crew showed up on time and went right to work. They covered everything so there was no damage done anywhere to the exterior of our house. Rolando the owner and Antonio the foremen were on site throughout the job and were available for any questions or surprises, thankfully everything went smoothly.

Joe ** responded quickly to come and fix a broken door handle on sliding door. He did not try to create a bigger problem but simply took handle off and replaced broken screw. Reliable and reasonable. Definitely will hire him again.

My father just became wheelchair-bound and needed to remodel his bathroom to make it handicap accessible. Sky Tech Builders did an amazing job turning the bathtub into a walk-in shower equipped with handrails and a handicap bench. The quality is top notch, and they finished the job in less than 4 weeks including permits! I will use them again for future projects.

I had a severe roof leak, and needed repairs asap. Their contractor (who wouldn't give me his name or address, or his phone number) showed up in a Toyota Prius with temporary plates, and no visible tools, parts, or ladder. I was told prior to this, that I could call him within two hours of his appointment time to talk. That was not the case, and I have phone records and many, many emails to prove it. I should warn everyone, read their Terms and Conditions closely, as they can do just about anything they want, if you agree to them. I would also urge you to check into their history of contractors. I really trusted the old Angie's List, and never hired anyone that didn't have a good recommendation on the old site. It always worked out well! I find the new site hard to work with, however - it's difficult to find the vendors I am looking for, and I feel like the site is steering me towards vendors that pay for more exposure, instead of those with good ratings. I hired someone based on an Angi recommendation to put interior moulding on a new skylight. The first thing he did was watch a YouTube video on how to use a miter saw! He ended up wasting all the moulding I had purchased for him to use, and I had to buy more. I'm very distrustful of the new site!

Do not use Angi. It is a scam! I booked a pool liner replacement. A contractor came out and told me the job would be 5 times what Angi quoted me so I decided to not go complete the process, No work was ever performed and Angi would not refund my money or make things right. I'm in the process of credit card dispute. Waste of time. WARNING WARNING! If you use ANGI you will lose your money. No service will be performed and they will keep your money! 0 Stars will be following up to complaints tom the BBB. What they do in criminal.

In searching for a company to replace my siding, I received several quotes and had many different conversations from various contractors. Christian Exteriors stood out. Melvin took the time to provide a full presentation on his company, background, and values, which was impressive. Although I was nervous due to the size and complexity of the job, I decided to give Christian Exteriors a try. I’m glad I did.

After being cancelled by their service providers multiple times Angi had the audacity to charge us, $300.85 prior to their first cancellation!!! The first "handyman" cancelled us because it would be too cold out, the second "handyman" cancelled us because of the fog (what fog?). And the third sent a text describing a shortcut job that we didn't agree to (power-washing only the north side of the house when we paid for the entire house). There is no customer service. We demanded a complete refund for services never rendered, we also notified our bank of their deceptive practices. And that one star I gave was only so I could get in and give a public review.

Angi's List made it easy for us to find the perfect repairman. We also received two follow-up calls to ensure that we were able to find someone and have a successful experience. We are very pleased with Angi's List and plan to use them again...and again!

I'm all for rebranding and upgrading but I prefer the former name, Angie's List, as opposed to just Angi because just Angi doesn't really say what it is. I've referred to Angie's List a few times over the past couple of years. Anymore I'm a little leary of how honest reviews because of Amazon's current trend of "buying" a better review. I truly hope Angi doesn't follow that practice.

Just completed my master bath remodeling by JBL Home Improvement, Inc. in St. James, N.Y. on 3/29/2022. I am completely satisfied. It came out just as I had planned. I am especially satisfied with the quality of the frameless shower enclosure and tile layout. Dave ** and his workers were completely professional and accommodating. Dave visited at least once each morning to review things with me and his workers and was readily available by phone the rest of the day. Every day each worker cleaned up thoroughly. The cost was reasonable. The quality of the work was excellent. I would not hesitate to use JBL Home Improvement, Inc. again and highly recommend them. I thoroughly did my research beforehand and Dave ** is actively licensed, insured, with no complaints against him.

I used Angi website to research master electricians for an electrical project to install (4) 56" LED Chrome Ceiling Fans. After reaching out to a dozen master electricians from Angi and obtaining quotes. I was able to make an educated informed decision on hiring the best master electrician for my home electrical project.

Angi is a good place to find pros needed for projects and read reviews. They are not so good at connecting you to pros as they say. So be ready to reach out to contractors listed yourself and save a lot of aggravation.

They took all of my personal information, and then required me to phone to confirm it. I got some random guy (who sounded like one of the many gig workers working from home, but he was very strange). He talked endlessly and ultimately gave me the names and phone numbers of two businesses relatively near me. One no longer exists, and the other has no listing online. He said these are licensed and bonded businesses! A legit business would list online, no? Total waste of time, and dishonest!

I signed up to help my business. The calls then started to come in. Repeatedly, for a service I did not offer. I asked Reps to Update account. They did not. I have Canceled my account, Blocked calls. These reps also act like Bill collections. They get to my voice mail without caller ID and leave messages pretending to be customers. STILL... almost a year now. Very UNPROFESSIONAL and they do not keep records up to date. I Value Customer Service and do not want to be affiliated with Angi in any way. I have informed every way I can. Now this. Please remove me from your lists.

I've asked several representatives from this organization to remove my number from their call list and after years, here's a review. I've had the same number for 20 years. This is probably why they had to re-brand. Same phone **. I definitely won't buy their leads, and I'll more than encourage people not to use their services. Hope their excessive and harassing phone calls are worth it.

Angi keeps project type descriptions limited and vague to generate false leads which you pay for. They do not create valid leads and have ignored suggestions on how to improve this. They are a national corporate marketing scam. Cleaning is not disinfecting for COVID so the hundreds of leads I paid for were worthless. Instead of COVID remediation and environmental health jobs I was given cleaning job leads - mostly from lazy NYers looking for a maid service. I do not recommend using them. Better to do your own lead generation.

I completed a quick questionnaire of the job I needed done and within a few hours I had several contractors reaching out to schedule a time to meet to provide quotes. In under a week I found a company that I was willing to work with and was more than satisfied when the job was complete.

Many times when I have requested quotes for work/service through Angi, I never hear from the service providers. When I get around to calling them, they say they never received any request through Angi for me. I also get contacted by companies that I never asked for a quote from, so why would you send my request to other non-requested service providers? I only want estimates from providers that rank very highly on your list. It's also not easy to get in touch with you for questions or general contact. I can find no way to do so online through your site.

We used Beth as our realtor for buying a house for the first time. She was absolutely amazing! Beth was available whenever we saw a house we wanted to see. I called them to get someone to do dry wall in a bathroom and finish some plumbing work. The guy they sent me was an undocumented criminal who overcharged me. He messed up the electrical in the bathroom. He knows nothing about plumbing. He damaged the pipes and told me that he would be back and never returned. Angie's lies. Tells you that they will make sure that satisfaction is guaranteed and they will make sure you are completely satisfied. However, the criminals rips you off, they have no license and charged what is not allowed by the state. And all angi does is ignores you and you are left with nothing. I am going to file a class action lawsuit against this company. They used criminals to take advantage of you.

My kids were getting bit by bugs in the night and I thought it might be dust mites after an inspection for bed bugs was negative. Mike from Hocking Hills Air Care came and save the day. He was friendly, professional, and affordable. I cannot believe how much dust and debris we were breathing. He also happened to find a nest of ants as he was walking out the door that Orkin missed. They were living in the Ducts as well and that was the source of the bites. If it weren't for him we would still be trying to figure out what was happening. He absolutely went above and beyond to help us.

This company will screen your company with background checks, etc. They send you several leads daily, with most people being look-Lou’s, wanting to check prices, with no intention of doing the work. You are then charged for the lead, whether or not you get the job. I canceled Angi after two days. I get calls or text from them every day, trying to get me to sign back up. They sell your information to other companies who will ring your phone off of the hook trying to sell you something. Angi is an awful choice.

Outstanding craftsmanship, punctuality, reliable & has great communication skills. Wouldn’t use anyone else. Prices are extremely competitive. He is my go to contractor for all my home improvement needs.

I had an appt with some plumber they set me up with (no name, no phone number). He blew me off and hours later told me to call him back but left no phone number. I fell asleep and called Angi the next morning and was told they couldn't reschedule me because I should have called the same day they blew me off. So I told them to refund my money (yes, they charge you before the work is done) and I found someone else who can come tomorrow.

Angi is a site that is free for clients and consumers but is extremely pricey for the contractors who want to advertise there. When someone inquiries about a service, Angi sends out the opportunity to several professionals. However, the majority of the time the leads that we receive are looking for services that do not align with what we provide and/or that are actually requesting a different service than what was stated on the lead, as well as, containing incorrect contact information to reach out to the customer.

The Contractor was very responsive and performed the jobs within scheduled time period. During their work period the Contractor used to be fully professional and in genuine in final production. We are extremely pleased with the performance and their dedication to reach a highly professional performance. The contractor was always cooperative and maintain high level of integrity.

Great customer service, prompt response, excellent pricing.. I submitted a quote and got a request within 5 to 10 minutes and the price was extremely reasonable and fair. I’m pretty sure and I’ll be using him again when I do a spring cleanup!

Matt does outstanding work. I could not be more pleased. I had a complicated installation of a new track lighting system that was confusing, with incomplete instructions. He figured everything out and solved assorted glitches and complications. His work is careful and accurate and meticulous. He also repaired our basement ceiling tile, which was a ‘70s mess. Old fashioned tile had fallen, broken, or worked loose in several spots. I was able to find matching replacements and he quickly made it all look like new. He spent a solid 8 hours working on these two projects.

Angi's List had Mover Van Lines in Las Vegas as a recommended source for long distance moving however, the company has terrible ratings and reviews nor were they BBB accredited. Many of the reviews by customers included pictures of damage of furniture and opened packing boxes that had been opened and refiled through. I called this company and got a really low quote but I also checked reviews and the BBB for complaints finding out the BBB does not even recognize them a a legit company. Angi's List can no longer be trusted.

If you sign up there are two factors to look for - leads & opportunities, which they charge you for both and then charge you each Friday even if you don’t take the lead or opportunities. It’s a rip off and if you freeze your account, you HAVE to freeze both - which she never informed me of that. Don’t waste your time or money. They try to keep you locked in and try to give you credits and not your money back. Be aware!!! It’s not explained correctly and you will be Bamboozled!!

Don't sign up with these people. As a contractor, they always screw me, so I can't imagine how they do the customers. Call them to turn off my leads and I'm still overcharged for them. Unless you want them to have a open check book to your account don't sign up.

Terrible house cleaning service. The worst. Sat in my house. Cleaned nothing. Actually made it worse than how the house was. Used dirty supplies. House smelled bad when I got home from work. Cashed my check and Angi charged my credit card as well. Criminal activity. Very disappointed.

Needed to replace 22 year old water heater was has a 9 year warranty, before it failed. I used Angie to identify several plumbers to install a replacement unit. T&F Plumbing responded quickly to my appeal. My only issue with Angie's list is that it's is not easy to update a service request that a professional has been selected or the job is complete.

It seems like it's a little bit too simple for some of the things I want to do, and it seems like a few of the contractors are a bit aggressive about getting the sale. It also seems like Angi is aggressive about going through them when they take HUGE cuts from the contractor in promotion fees.

I was surprised to hear from the Home Inspectors immediately following submission of my information. I expected to just get information on them and I would contact them. I think I would have preferred it that way.

I preferred the old systems of reviews of contractors in various specialties rather than getting calls from individual contractors. The latter system does not allow me to cogitate on the reviews before I am under pressure to make a decision.

Wow, what a mistake. I had A horrible experience with Home Advisor sending useless calls and billing huge numbers for them. I had some limited success with Yelp so I thought maybe I should give Angie’s list a try. About a month into the year long contract they became Angi because Home Advisor bought them. Right about then it was just as useless as Home Advisor. In January 2022 I informed them that I would have to keep paying even though their service was as close to useless as you can get.

Went through Angi the first time hiring Sound Electrical. James ** installed an electrical panel very professionally and at a greatly reasonable price so when I needed to install a backup generator, I called him directly to install the necessary parts to switch from commercial power to generator. Whenever I need electrical work done in the future, I'll certainly hire James.

I had never heard of Angi before I found them on the internet. When I requested quotes for an irrigation system install, I received three responses the very next day. The first response was the winner and I now have my new irrigation system. I was even able to pay for my bill through their app. It was very easy and affordable.

My experience with Modern Flooring Solutions exceeded my expectations. The job was to replace engineered floor boards that had cupped. The work was done within the timeframe allotted. When Michael ** was finished, there was no evidence that the replacement of the warped boards had been replaced. He was the consummate professional. The work was excellent and he was easy to work with and eager to please.

I was unhappy with the volume of people I competed against with every lead. I tried to terminate my contract verbally and was told by an Angi representative that it would not re-new and that I was all set. In fact my contract had renewed for another 12 months at a cost of 4,000 dollars. Now I'm being charged an early cancellation fee.

After canceling Home Advisor and Angie's List 2020. March of 2022 I start getting leads again and charged 72 dollars for 1 lead. I never got 1 statement saying I was still using their services. They would call me time and time to get me to come back as leads in my area have grown and my response is "I’m not taking more customers and not looking to go back to paying leads." They never led me to believe I still had a active account and still need to cancel.

I had a 3/2 home cleaned that was brand new when I moved into it so it was an easy job. Just about 1600sf which was the criteria to push into a higher quote. The girls who did the cleaning were awesome and did a great job but the job that they were told wasn't complete. This was a moving out cleaning. I specifically called Angi to make sure floor boards were done and I was assured they were. The girls cleaned the inside of cabinets and drawers but forgot to clean the outside. (They apologized but what can be done now? I had to do it before the landlord walk through.) The girls did inside windows, bathrooms, countertops and chrome, and floors. I paid extra for oven and fridge. Floor boards were not in their job request nor doors to rooms/closets.

Brian was very responsive and delivered on time above and beyond my expectations. He did exactly what he said he would do and finished ahead of schedule. I was very pleased with the quality of his workmanship.

They charge astronomical prices for minimal services. Angie's list claims to provide "Leads" to clients, but many of them don't even exist. After deciding Angie's list wasn't the best fit for my company, I cancelled my membership in January. I was Still charged $344.45 for 3 leads in February After I already cancelled my membership, and didn't even receive. Now they refuse to return my hard earned money. Please beware they scam small business owners.

The technician reviewed the process for preparing the home and water softening system for vacation. He helped me take a video for future use. Excellent assistance as I had previously misunderstood how to shut off the water to the house but maintain water flow to the softener.

I was sent request from the company that did my remodel Angie's has been good. I hope that this advertising company know what they have because they are the best I've I've ever dealt with. And I will continue to do do business with them.

I went on Angie's to get a quote to see how much it would cost to install new backsplash. I received a call from Angie's to schedule the job. I explained to the customer service rep that I would need a quote before scheduling. They offered to come out tomorrow but I still need to get other materials. When I explained that I would have to call back, she hung up on me. I will not use their services based off of this experience.

@ Last year you reworked the website to push sponsored contractors. In doing so you've made it impossible to find individual named contractor info (rather than being happy with whatever sponsored vendors you give me in a search) . And, when one does the "project" thing, you get deluged with phone calls and texts at all hours--woken up in middle of the night. Too bad, the old Angi was for years my go-to for finding home services.

I used Angi Service for my house cleaning couple of months ago. The cleaners did not show up in the morning and my day off at work was wasted. I called Angi's customer service and they apologized for the inconvenience and said they would reschedule for another day. Even, for second time the cleaners did not show up. I called them to cancel the service, but they were apologetic again and promised me that "since this caused so much inconvenience, we will waive the charges and cleaners will clean your house for free". After two months, they quietly charged my credit card for the service and when I spoke with them they straight away lied and said that I will have to pay for cleaning service and they never offered free service. This was very awful. I cannot believe they would lie like this and treat a customer like that. Very pathetic.

The Ladies showed up on time, were very conscious of doing a good job. Cleaned my home beautifully and everything was spotless. Looking forward to their return!! Thanks Ladies. I appreciate you.

I totally recommend Thomas Edison Electric Inc. I had recently purchased a new electric range and realized that the existing stove was hard wired and a new plug must be installed. At 8:30 that evening, I called Thomas Edison and left a message. Within 15 minutes, I received a call from their office and we set up an installation date. I was kept in the loop, and was updated on the time frame, as well as the service person. The electrician was prompt, courteous, professional, and excellent. When the task was completed, the office called and asked how everything went. WOW! Great.

Alexandria and Gwen arrived at 11:22 and started right in. They worked non-stop for 2 1/2 hours, vacuuming, washing walls and shelves, cleaning our home well. They worked hard and earned their pay.

The service performed on my bathtub is excellent. It looks like a brand new tub. The smell wasn’t as bad as I thought and the job was done in a timely manner. Very friendly and respectful young men. I would use them again.

ANGIE'S LIST IS NOT WHAT IT USE TO BE.. At one time this was a dependable source, nowadays please run away from these folks and stick to who you know. A bunch of scamming installers using the app for free leads then waste your time and money. I will never use this service again. Stay away from Angie's List, My house is wide open dealing with these folks, Patio doorless. THEY ARE NOT WHO THEY USE TO BE. RUN>....
