Purchased a bouquet of flowers for my wife. They were unable to deliver these, not only on the date promised, but ever. I called to request a refund, which they eventually agreed to. No refund was ever given. I'm guessing most people would not be happy with such an experience.

I asked for a color theme that was a little out of season, but not using expensive flowers to accomplish the task. The arrangement was a great combination of colors and not more expensive. I really liked the arrangement was lower in the pot and didn’t look like someone just took a bunch of flowers and stuck them in a vase.

Reasonably priced. Delivery was on time however the flowers were somewhat wilted. Good variety of flowers and colors. Nice arrangement and well put together. There are many choices to choose from at different price point. Guess if I had paid a little more, the arrangement would be larger. Thank you.

I ordered the standard dozen roses for the most recent Valentine's Day. I used, obviously, the online option for ordering. The website is easily navigable, thoughtfully laid out, and generally intuitive. I didn't search for anything other than red roses but it looked like they had lots of other flower varieties and arrangements. My recipient's flowers arrived on time and fresh. The price was comparable to the other flower delivery websites I visited.

I get a call on Valentine's Day, from 1-800-Flowers saying they will not be able to deliver the flowers I ordered. First of all, I could not get anyone on the phone who did not have a HEAVY accent. They could barely understand me and I could barely understand them. I was told different things by THREE different people. I canceled my order and asked for a refund. I was told it would take 3-5 business days for my refund. Well, it's been 11 business days and I still have yet to receive my refund. I called them and I was told to "Give it time. It takes 3-5 business days." I told them how long it's been and nothing. I will NEVER use this company ever again, and I better get my refund SOON.

When I called the company they had told me it was already delivered so I'm not sure where they delivered them to if it was specifically for delivery to a funeral home. All they said was they would refund me the money. That's besides the point. This was a very important occasion for my family and I. What if I lived in another city. I would have thought it was delivered when it wasn't???? They had no remorse or consideration. Didn't even try to track down where the flowers that said rest in peace to were actually delivered to. Don't make the same mistake I did and instead order local instead of this 3rd party company.

The flowers never arrived. I called Sunday evening and they apologized and assured me they would be delivered Monday morning. No flowers, I called again and was told "it looks like the person you spoke with forgot to message the florist" and informed me they would not be delivered that day. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was informed there was no supervisor, was put on hold, and then hung up on. It took 3 additional phone calls and the flowers were finally delivered late Tuesday afternoon, some of them were wilted and the arrangement looked old and tired. It was a very frustrating experience and a waste of $70.00.

I called and explained and asked to have the problem corrected. The first customer service person seemed very helpful, but he said he needed to put me on hold. As soon as he did that, I was disconnected. I called back and spoke to a different person. This one said he could not connect me to the first person, so I had to explain all over again. He said he could not do anything and that I should call back In an hour. At this point, I asked to speak to his supervisor. He put me on hold to get someone. I was on hold for a very long time. He eventually came back on the line to say he had not been able to get anyone yet and then put me on hold again. This time the hold was much longer.

He finally came back to say he still had not gotten anyone and asked if I wanted to stay on hold. I told him I thought he had left me on hold so long purposely so that I would give up, and that I guessed I would. He said “ok” and ended the call. My money was wasted, the flowers weren’t very nice, and I had to order all over again from a different florist. DON’T USE 1-800-Flowers!,

Ordered two dozen roses to be personally delivered to my wife on Valentine's day at her office. Paid about $130, including the $30 delivery fee, all about a month before the holiday. On the day of the flowers never came but the website reported that the order was delivered at 12 noon exactly when I searched by order number. I had to tell my wife and sent her looking for them for over an hour. I could not get through to the company on the day of to figure out what was going on and finally gave up at 8 pm.

Called again the next day and it took four phone calls to multiple different numbers after waiting prescribed amounts of time and re-explaining three times. They tried as hard as they could to not reimburse me and made this whole process take probably three to four hours of my time just trying to get my money back since they lied about delivering and clearly have a customer service system designed to frustrate you into giving up. They wouldn't even transfer my call to the 'billing department' to reimburse me, telling me to call another number in 15+ minutes.

On the second call to the 'billing department' they made me go through the whole explanation again (that was the 3rd time) and then I had to wait as they tried to contact their contractor unsuccessfully. They would provide no assurance other than the verbal on the phone I would be reimbursed within a week. They were rude and unapologetic the entire time and I could not have been more unhappy with the experience.

The arrangement was delivered and was absolutely nothing like the picture/description of the one I had ordered for her. It was blue and white flowers in a clear case. I understand that 1-800-Flowers.com were at the mercy of the delivering florists. But this last order was a total disappointment. My best friend's daughter and her husband had just had their first baby. I ordered an arrangement with a balloon to be delivered to her hospital room. Two days later and she is about to be released from the hospital and still no flowers. I call customer service and after several minutes on hold I am told that they can be delivered to her residence. Then I received an email with a $20 gift card for my next purchase and it expires in one year. Talk about an insult to injury.

I will not be using 1-800-Flowers again. I placed two orders in a short period of time, and the first order had the wrong flowers, not the flowers advertised or pictured on the website. The second order was made ridiculously complex as I used the app and paid with Paypal. The amount was pre-authorized from my Paypal account, but the order did not complete successfully, as the Place Order button did not appear when sent back to the app. I called 1-800-Flowers Customer Service line, and was told that they would have to place my order manually by phone.

An hour later after repeating all the steps I'd already taken on the app, we discovered that the service code I was given for $20 off my previous and botched order had been used, and they could not place the order through Paypal but only by credit card, meaning that the money would be locked up until I called them back the next day to have it released, and it would take 24-48 hours for that to happen, and had to be transferred to a supervisor so that they could manually add the discount. So it took two hours to re-place an order I'd already placed, and a charge on a card I didn't want to use to make the payment, and I have to call back to have the money they'd reserved in my Paypal account restored after 24-48 hours.

After two bad experiences with this company, I cannot recommend them. Their customer service department is not capable of correcting errors caused by faulty technology with the app, and they don't always deliver what you purchased, but may replace it with something they think is similar. I am very disappointed with this company and its service. I will be using other such services in the future, and advise anyone who expects what they pay for to be delivered and easy order placement to go elsewhere as well.

I placed an order with 1-800-Flowers to send this arrangement to my parents for Valentine's Day. It never arrived, despite the fact that the order status was changed to "Delivered." When I called customer service to tell them it never arrived, they initially just said "Well, it says it was delivered." After going back and forth, they said that many local florists are cleared out from Valentine's Day, so they offered to "Try to send out a similar arrangement by the end of next week."

I finally told them I just wanted a refund, because I had already contacted a local florist directly and paid $90 to have an arrangement sent with rushed same-day delivery on Saturday (the day after Valentine's Day). They agreed and said the refund was processing. I then got a call the NEXT day (Sunday) telling me that they were putting the refund on hold because the florist had proof of delivery that included a PHOTO of them handing the flowers to the recipient, a signature from the recipient and a photo of the recipient's house. I told them I would love to see any of that "proof" because my mother (the recipient) was at work from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., but they said they were delivered at 10:15 a.m.

My parents also have a Ring doorbell, and we have proof that nobody came to the house on Friday. Upon asking for them to email me those "photos," they told me that they can not share any of the "proof" because of privacy concerns. I asked to just see the signature of the recipient that supposedly received the flowers. They also declined to share that with me. I asked for the name of the florist that supposedly delivered the arrangement. Guess what -- they're also not allowed to even share the name of the Florist that handles your orders due to privacy concerns. I told them I'd happily send them the Ring doorbell footage from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. to prove that nobody delivered anything, and they immediately backed down and went back to processing the refund.

There is zero accountability when ordering from 1-800-Flowers. They won't tell you who they sent your order to and they won't provide any evidence that your order was ever actually delivered. Fortunately, I followed up with my parents to ask if they ever got the flowers -- but these companies know that the majority of people wouldn't follow-up to ask if a gift was received, because that's typically a rude gesture (unless, of course, it's a family member or close friend). They're scammers and liars. Find literally any other company for your flower delivery needs.

My husband ordered flowers for me on Valentine (2020). The order was placed on the morning of 03/14 with the intent for delivery on the morning of 02/14. The delivery was made at 9.15 PM on 02/14. The day was already over. As if that wasn't enough. The flowers that came wasn't the ones he ordered. The cost of his order was over $100. The delivery I received is worth $19.99. And I know that because the exact bouquet is at Stop and Shop for $19.99.

So I called on 02/15 to complain. The CSR told me that they are replacing the bouquet today. Nothing came. So today 02/16 I called again and was told it will be delivered on 02/18. Ask to speak to a supervisor, of course none was available. Left my number for them to call me back. No call came. So I called again. Know this is not about the flowers, but the principle of the situation. I demanded to speak to a supervisor. I ask her to just refund us the money at this time. She wanted all kinds of verification to do so. I told her, "You didn't need that to take my order." She finally went ahead to did the refund.

This isn't the first time that this happened with them. In April (2019). The delivery was never made but his card was charged. We had to fight with the credit card company to get our money back. PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM ANYMORE. YOUR LOCAL SUPERMARKET CAN DO BETTER AND THEY NEED THE BUSINESS.

The flowers still did not arrive the next day, so I called again and spoke with someone there who repeatedly got my order number wrong after I repeated it to them five times. They even got my first name wrong after I spelled it for them! This person put me on hold and then said the flowers would be sent on the following Monday, but then came back and said Tuesday, the 18th. I will never do business with this company again because they lied, their false advertising of same day delivery and they refuse to let you speak to a manager when you have an issue. Customer services offered no proof of delivery or even the name of the florist that delivered. First they stated they would refund me only 50% of my money back. I wrote back and stated I want my full refund back due to the fact that the flowers never arrived at all. 1800Flowers then writes back saying too late to cancel because they had rescheduled with the florist for delivery on 2/18 and cannot cancel the order.

Several emails back and forth with 1800 stating there is nothing they can do and they cannot cancel the order. I ordered flowers for Valentine's day not 2/18. 1800flowers failed to deliver, lied and stated they were delivered. Now they refuse refund and have rescheduled without my permission. Outrages! I reached out to them because I received a delivery notice and had not received the item. My husband sent me two dozen roses on Valentine’s Day. They told me they were delivered. Nope. I’ve been here, they never came. About an hour later my husband received a call from a man a neighborhood away who said that he had my flowers. He was kind enough to let me pick them up, but at this point clearly the surprise was ruined. The best joke? He tried to call and tell customer service he received flowers for an address that wasn’t him and they wouldn’t help him! When I told customer service all they did was tell me they confirmed they were delivered. What a joke. I have my flowers now, but what if I didn’t have a nice neighbor? We’d just be out the money? I’ll go back to ordering from local florists like I usually do. The roses already look droopy and sad. Lesson learned!

Placed an order to be delivered on Valentine's Day. By the end of the day the tracking number even said it would be there by 8pm. Valentine's Day comes and goes and nothing is delivered, so I figured it would get there tomorrow which still isn't okay but instead it says no scheduled delivery. I receive a voicemail from 1800 Flowers to call them back and I do 15 minutes later to be told by a representative that he couldn't help me because someone was resolving it and they would call me back, I told him I was instructed to call so how would they know I called and he assured me they would call in a few minutes.

An hour later I have to call back and the lady I spoke with said that the package would be delivered today and I explained the tracking says it's not. She says in her end it says it is and that there is a new tracking number which is already not right, then that tracking also says no scheduled delivery and I ask her where. She it says it's being delivered. She doesn't know how to read the FedEx page, she assures me it's being delivered today and I said I wanted confirmation so she called fedex and of course we find out that no it's not being delivered today either and it would be there MONDAY! That's 3 days after VAlentine's Day. I'm already in trouble. That does me no good. So I ask for a full refund. She hangs up on me.

I then have to call again and talk to another agent who says he can't help either because it's being escalated. By this point I don't know who to believe, so I ask to speak to a manager so that I can make sure it's being taken care of and he instead sends me to Billing where I have to explain everything all over again and be on hold again. Now she says it's being processed but there no way to confirm. She has to put me on hold again to have an email sent and the hold would be a long time. This customer service and shipping has been terrible and lied to every step of the way. I would not recommend this service to anyone. If I had not checked on each step nothing would have been done.

It was 7:30 pm when I got off the phone. It wasn't until 8:30 am the next morning when the Fedex driver called to say they can't deliver the package. The driver was going to call his boss to see what could be done. He never called back. So I called Fedex and was told the delivery has been rescheduled for Monday. I decided to order flowers for a guy at my work who I have a thing for. I ordered them February 8, 2020 to be delivered to our work on the 13th. I didn’t want to put my name on the card because of people at work talking, it being awkward, and because he really doesn’t know how I feel about him and he is so hard to read it’s confusing. Anyway, placed the order late at night with a message with a verse from a movie we both love. When I awoke the next morning my senses came to and I realized “I can’t send that message. He’ll for sure know it’s me”. I went into panic mode. I quickly got online and used the messaging system through the website. After talking to the agent whose name was Marc, he said there will be no message and have me a new order number. He also reassured me that no one can find out it was me who sent the flowers is it went bad. Pew, I was in the clear.

Well then I decided to check again a couple days later on the 11th when I didn’t get the email confirming the order change like he said. I got back on the website and talked again to an online agent whose name this time was Farhaymah. She/he informed me that my replacement order has no message. Ok good, I was in the clear, or so I thought.

We are now on Thursday Feb 13th sometime before 245. The flowers arrive to our work and I’m the one who gets it from Fedex driver, so I personally bring it to the guy at the man it’s for. He also shares an office with me and is only a few feet away from my desk might I add. I sent the package on his desk and he ask “what’s this”? I said “it’s got your name on it”. Fast forward a bit, he’s totally confused, not knowing who they are from and finds no note which I’m over there going (“thank god”) in my head. He even calls his mom to ask if she sent them, she said no. Everyone is jokingly assuming it’s me who sent them for some reason and then his mom even ask if I sent them. Wait what?! Why would your mom whom I’ve never met or spoken to name me as the culprit?! Other workers come it Bc they are all curious and it becomes a big ordeal. I’m in the clear until someone comes in and makes things go south.

This man starts talking negative about it and then decides to investigate into the package and what does he find?! The freakin note. Ya know, the one that wasn’t supposed to be sent! He reads it out loud and the recipient of the package instantly reacted and said “wait what?!” I’m mortified at this point, my face is burning, my ears are red. He grabs the note and looks right at me. I can only imagine how I looked at this point. Of course I denied it completely but he knew it was me. I’m mortified completely. Not even because he knows it’s me at this point but because of what everyone else is thinking and saying. I think he picked up on the fact that I didn’t want it to be known it was me, at least not in front of everyone. Everything is ok and dropped for the most part.

I leave work about 2 hours later and I call up 1-800-flowers this time to figure out what happened. Apparently when they did the replacement order, they never canceled the original order. It gets better... So the original order was delivered obviously, but now there is the duplicate replacement order en route to my work by Fedex that was supposed to arrive on the 13th as well, but got delayed because of weather. So I’m already sitting here mortified over the first delivery and now he’s going to get another 2 dozen roses!? At least this one will have no message right?!

I do everything to get them to stop the delivery or cancel it. I already look some type of way and this is only going to make it worse! The agent says there is nothing they can do to stop it. They offered me $20 as an apology. But I was concerned about the money. The woman was extremely nice on the phone and empathetic it seems to how I was feeling and the awkwardness of the entire ordeal. She even gave me hope that maybe this will all turn out for the better. That he was meant to know they were from me and that something may come of it. Not likely considering how the next day went.

I went back online and used the hold at location option and prayed that they wouldn’t leave it at my work doorstep because others will see it before I could get there and dispose of the evidence. Thankfully this option worked and I was able to get the box at the hold location on the 14th. So now I have two dozen roses. I gave one set to my mom and kept the other. And here comes the other negative for my review. It’s been one day since I’ve had these flowers and at least 4 are wilted over. They look horrible. All this trouble, anxiety, embarrassment, money and stress over dead flowers and a failed attempt of trying to show someone that I care more than I should.

I’m so disappointed, but at least I have a movie scene type story to tell and my “crush” and I had a good laugh about it all. Oh yeah, he texted me that night and asked if I was the one who sent them... I came clean about the entire story. He laughed, I laughed and it was all great. But nothing has changed, no date. He won’t even hang out with me outside of work. I have known him a year next month and he has shut down every advance I have made towards friendship outside of work.

He has changed recently and started communicating with me more outside of work, but still says no to hanging out. But it’s not just me he says no to. It’s everyone. He just sits at home, reads, plays video games, has his dogs, and his brother is his roommate. He’s different, complicated, confusing and just so hard to read. I’ve never been so perplexed in my life by someone, and I think that’s why I’m so intrigued by him sometimes. He’s like a puzzle I can’t solve, but want to do bad. Anyway, Thanks 1-800-flowers.com for all the false hopes.

I said I wanted a full refund. I was then put on hold again only to hear the "supervisor" was busy. I said I would hold. She said it would be an hour wait. OK. I wanted to wait the hour. 10 minutes later a supervisor answered with a cookie cutter apology. As a CUSTOMER I wanted a refund. They said they couldn't give me a refund until 8pm. I asked for a email with a detail tracking record. They said emails take 12 to 24 hours!

1-800-Flowers was notified at 8pm on Feb 14th that the order was delayed. They never passed that information on to me. The customer for a Valentine's Day gift! I asked for the FedEx tracking number. I called FedEx who quickly provided information that there was a problem with their delivery truck and all packages were delayed until this morning. The package is going to Memphis which is where the FedEx hub is located! Literally a couple of miles from the recipient's house. It apparently has to go to Mississippi first then back to Memphis. Either way, as the customer, I had to find out the details myself. I'm in customer service and I know you're supposed to do whatever to make the customer happy. Not the case at this company. I asked to speak with the next level of support, Finally she referred me to the some kind of resolution group. I spoke with a person named Clinton, said the same things about the cut off time. I asked for next level of support she said there was none. I was told my price which was 179.00, which the supervisor said included the discount. I told her this started with 49.00 and was asked if I wanted to make the purchase. I assume that I would have more of a discount and not a total of 179.00.

I told this CLinton person.I would make a review. Let me say this, I had about 4 other options which included going to another company. The flowers did arrive the day before on the 13th as scheduled, but they came in via Fedex in an enclosed box labeled 1800, and the Fedex delivery guy left it on it's side by my front door. Strike (2).

When I opened the box I noticed there wasn't any water encompassing the roses at the base, and needless to say they lasted all of less than a day once I did put them in water. Meaning on the 14th VDay itself they started to die. So I am...Extremely disappointed.. Strike (3). And since it's almost baseball season we all know (3) strikes and you're out.

I ordered from this company 1-800-Flowers.com 4 days before Valentine's Day an arrangement for my wife to be delivered early on Valentines day. By 5:30 pm there were no flowers yet so we went to dinner. We get home and I get a text that flowers have been delivered. The flowers never came! I have a Ring video doorbell. I would know if anyone even attempted to approach my home.

I called 1-800-Flowers and was on hold for 62 minutes and I was told we cannot process a refund but can re order the delivery. I was fuming mad now and said "no way, Not acceptable". I was placed on hold for another 15 minutes and was told they are unable to process refunds that I should try calling another time. I insisted on speaking to a supervisor and was put on hold for another 10 minutes. They finally said they will send an email to confirm refund. This company has Wear the customer down, down to a science. They lie. They will tell you anything to avoid giving you a refund for services not rendered. Something should be done about their poor business practices!

Not only did they not deliver the flowers, they did nothing but lie when I called them to figure out what was going on. Finally after I had enough and requested a refund, the “customer service rep” said that she could not process it because suddenly the system had gone down. This was the WORST customer service experience I’ve ever had. I DO NOT recommend this company.

Updated on 02/16/2020: Well I wrote a review yesterday after my Valentine's day flower order never got delivered yesterday. I spoke to the company this morning and agreed to have them delivered today. Guess what? Never happened. No delivery two days in a row. Well I just got off the phone with the company and they told me that the florist didn’t deliver them today because he wanted more money from me or the company or it wouldn’t get delivered. I told them that they should immediately stop doing business with the florist who is obviously a dishonest thief. They gave me a full refund. Since I have had two problems with 1800 flowers in the past, I won’t ever deal with them again.

Original Review: I quit 1800Flowers a couple of years ago when one delivery had awful quality flowers and another was never made. I got in a bind and needed to send Valentine flowers 1000 miles away. I ordered them in 2-13-20, and here it is, 9:17 pm on 2-14-20 Valentine's Day. Recording said they would be delivered by 8pm. That was at 9 pm! Now I’m on hold forever, as they are experiencing “heavier than usual call volume”. Yeah I wonder why.!! Never again with this terrible company.

My wife was home the entire day and I got @ 5pm from work. I checked my email and it still said confirmed. Checked it again 20 mins later and my status said delivered. Contacted customer service and the rep told me they made a mistake and my flowers were delivered to another address. Rep advised me they can have my flowers delivered on Saturday or Sunday. I said, "No. Refund me my money," she offered 50% discount and I said, "No. Just refund me my money." After 5 times with best option being a 50% discount on what I paid, the rep finally said refund will take 3-5 days. I will monitor to make sure I receive my money and if not I will file a dispute through my bank. I said on the recorded line I will never use 1800flowers again.

He was ready to show the men how it's done when all that happened was him being humiliated. The flowers were completely smashed, the lilies are bruised from being wrapped so tight in plastic, the vase is huge with the flowers looking lost and tiny in it and they arrived in a box that smelled like it had been with a smoker for months.

When we called, we were told we could have a new arrangement sent but we will be away next week so we wouldn't be here to receive them. They asked if we wanted to send the arrangement to someone else. I politely said "I'd rather not send my valentine gift to someone else". They then offered a 50% refund and a $20 credit towards something else, my husband refused the credit and asked to return the flowers for a refund. We were advised that today was a busy day and we would have to call back after 8PM to speak to someone else. Definitely not the "smiles" they promise.

Each time I talked to a customer service representative I gave them all of the recipient's names and was put hold then they would tell me that the order had been cancelled and I would receive a confirmation e-mail showing the order was cancelled. We never received an e-mail. Each time I called the representative would say "I can see that your order isn't cancelled, however I'm taking care of it now." Each time I gave them the name of each person and was assured that the order was cancelled.

On the night before the orders were to be received, I received an e-mail saying that the order had been cancelled. The total order was $256. The cancellation said we would be refunded $26.04. No explanation just that the order was cancelled and that this was the amount to be credited to the account. The next day (the day the orders were to be received) an e-mail was received showing that all orders had shipped. Unbelievable that I had to call so many times and then the order was never cancelled. I have never been so frustrated by a service provider. Also, it said you could track or modify orders online. My order never showed up in the account online. This place is absolutely terrible. This place is absolutely terrible! I ordered flowers for February 13th. I then received a confirmation email showing they would be delivered on the 13th for my girlfriend. I paid close to $100 so I was very excited about her getting these roses. Today I called around noon to make sure they were going to be delivered. I was told they would be delivered by 5pm to her place of work. I gained peace of mind and continued about my day. Then at 5 (when my girlfriend got off work) she had still not text me to let me know she received them. I then called 1-800-Flowers to see what was going on.

During my call, I was placed on hold countless times for countless minutes. The person finally told me that it was their mistake and that I could be reimbursed up to 50% and the flowers would be delivered in a few days. I honestly was baffled at this statement. So you messed up my order and you will only give me half of my money back and my girlfriend will receive her flowers a few days after Valentine's day???? I asked to speak to a manager. I was placed on hold for another eternity until the manager could speak to me. I demanded a full refund and free next day flowers to be delivered. He told me that he would reimburse me shipping costs only and that I would have to purchase more flowers if I wanted them! How can you mess up someone's Valentine's day and only offer shipping costs to correct your negligence?

I informed him that the person who I spoke with before him said I could be reimbursed 50%. At this time, he said "oh if he offered you 50% then I can do that." So he intentionally tried to screw me over again! At this point I had a few choice words. Being in the military and away from home, it meant the world to me for my girlfriend to get flowers. I was rude but not overly rude. That should be understandable. Because I was rude the manager hung up on me. I calmed down a few hours later to try to get this resolved. I spoke to a different customer service rep and she gave me a full refund which I should see in a few days. I asked if I could get flowers for free delivered tomorrow which would be actual Vday and they said no.

Everyone makes mistakes including myself. I'm not ignorant to that fact. However, when you mess up you should resolve it the best possible way. This place does not do that at all. Now my girlfriend gets no flowers on Valentine's Day and all I got was a refund. The only reason I got that is because I called several times over the course of hours to fight for it. I suggest nobody uses this terrible excuse of a business. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!

My wife then had a family emergency and had to leave the state on short notice so would not be available to receive the flowers. I called to reschedule the delivery for her return and was told that would be "impossible." I then asked to cancel the order and was told that because it was ordered through PayPal, I would have to cancel through Pay Pal. This is not true since Pay Pa; is not in the cancellation business- they require the merchant to cancel, which the flower company refused to do. When I told them that was not Pay Pal policy, they then reverted to telling me that not only was it "impossible " to reschedule my order, but it was also "impossible" to cancel my order. Bottom line: They just wanted to keep the money and deliver the flowers to a location they could not be received.

1800flowers.com review (good reading). I ordered the flowers for my wife BDay and paid EXTRA to have them delivered on her BDay, which was the following day. On the following day I called to make sure the flowers would be delivered and was told that they would not get there until the day after her BDay, because of the weather (which the roads were completely safe to drive on). I asked for the local flower shop that would be delivering them and was told the company policy would not allow them to tell me. The flowers were paid for and legally mine. I googled and found the closest flower shop that did services with 1800flowers.com. This flower shop did in fact have my order and allowed me to come get MY order so I could get it to my wife for her BDay.

1800flowers.com did not call and tell me that my order wasn't going to make on her BDay or even offer to refund me for the extra money I paid for delivery. They basically did not give a rat's ** about the whole situation. I will not use them again and post this and all my social media! I don't typically get vindictive, but when you give your wife a surprise for her BDay the day after the date on her birth certificate, IT DOES HAVE THE SAME EFFECT. It didn't allow her to share them with her friends at work, so they know how great and caring her awesome husband is. Thank 1800flowers.com for the bad experience.

Update; 1800Flowers emailed me and asked me to call them. I did and explained to their customer service this situation, in detail!!! At first they did not offer my delivery fee back ($2.99 whoop-t-do). but did offer me a $20 credit for my next purchase, He really thinks I'm ever going to buy from them over a $20 credit. That means have to spend more money with them to use the $20 credit. I told him that was ridiculous, and the only way I would ever consider using 1800flowers.com would be a FULL refund. To which he said that would not happen. Don't waste your time and money on this company, I certainly will not.

The flowers never showed, no one could ever tell me where the flowers were. I was told at 3 a message was sent to the florist and I would be contacted shortly, I was never contacted or updated. I was then told they would be delivered by 5 at 530 pm. Then I was told by 8 pm, but they weren’t sure because they couldn’t contact the florist. I told them they failed to deliver my goods and I would like my money back. I spent 2 hours on the phone attempting to get my money back. Was told I could not receive my money back until after 8. Someone would contact me then and attempt it. So now I’m out 100$, and I have to stay up to hear the outcome of “if they can give me my money.” After two hours we called the bank and had to pay to issue a stop to the payment. Don’t waste your time or money.

When a call was made to complain, the customer service agent did not speak English well and we were put on hold for 30 minutes while a manager was located. We were promised redelivery of a new arrangement the next day. An agent came to our home the following morning to pick up the arrangement and did not have a new bouquet. The agent stated "someone else would come to deliver the new bouquet." No one ever came. We have yet to receive a refund. I Do Not recommend using this business for Any services! The gift was delivered on time but no name or message was included. When I order flowers for someone after a major surgery, I expect my message to be delivered with the gift so she knows who the gift is coming from. This is important when you’re not able to be with someone you love. The message is just as important as the gift.

When I contacted one 800 flowers, I was just told they are sorry the message was not sent. When I asked them to send a message separately, they just said they were sorry I had happened. Then the rep realized it was a gift box and said messages get cut from the gift boxes. No notification, at checkout, was given the the message included at checkout was not going to be used. If this was the case, they should have at least included my name. How is my friend supposed to guess who the gift is from? At least my name should’ve been included. I asked that they send a message separately since it was not included. This has not happened.

I tried to order a bouquet of flowers for a funeral. The order would never never submit. I hit the complete a few times (well as it turned out 5 times to be exact) and it never submitted. I never got a confirmation that it went thru. It still showed in my cart so I deleted it out of the cart. I stepped away for about 10 minutes and decided to try another order. I found a different bouquet liked more and tried to order it. It went thru without any problem. I received the email confirmation and later the notice it had need delivered. This morning my bank account shows 6 transactions. The charge of the one that was delivered, and 5 pending charges for the order that did not take for a total amount of almost $400.

When I called customer service they were no help. Told me I would have to call my bank. So when I called my bank I was told they could not cancel the pending charges, that 1-800 Flowers would have to release this. So I call back and yes I am frustrated and I want the matter corrected ASAP. After speaking with 2 different people I finally got a credit manager who then tells me he would send a fax to my bank releasing the charges but it would take 3-5 days. I never got an apology or an offer of any kind to try to make this right. I did tell the last gentleman that I would never use this service again and that I would encourage others to not use them either. All he said was “that’s fine ma’am.” I am a very patient and kind woman but when you have almost $400 pending charges that you have to jump thru hoops to remove because their ordering process stinks, I get a little unfriendly. Never again!

After my first call with 1800 Flowers, the customer service got better. I was indeed refunded one of the $100 charges as I should be only paying once. It took 6 days; which was within 5-7 business days as told. I just hope my package makes it promptly to the correct address. Fingers crossed.

    Original Review: Feb. 7, 2020

So, I just made a $100 purchase yesterday for a fruit bouquet and strawberries to be delivered on Valentine’s Day to my boyfriend. I hope he gets them; these other reviews I’ve read are horrid. Anyways, a couple hours ago I was charged AGAIN by Shari's Berries, which I’m assuming is a partner company for 1800Flowers. I contact Shari's Berries and the guy seemed so frazzled with lots of “uhh uhhsss” in his response as to why I’m being charged twice. He then claims 1800Flowers makes a “pre-authorization” charge of the order total; then they (Shari's) made their transaction once they receive the order. He claims I’ll get the “pre-auth” from 1800Flowers in 3-5 days. NOWHERE on their terms of use claims there’s any type of “pre-auth” charges towards any orders. I didn’t even know I was purchasing from Shari's Berries; which I’m surprised by the frazzled customer service since that company has such a nice rep.

SO THEN I contact 1800Flowers to ask about my initial $100 charge and demand an explanation on why I’m being charged twice; let’s see if the stories match, right? Some lady with the most broken English I’ve ever heard claims she can’t access my order right now because the representative who took my order wasn’t in on that shift during my call. I demanded to speak with a supervisor; and she claimed there wasn’t one there. I’ll try again tomorrow- but I’ll be damned if I’m paying $200 for a small fruit bouquet and chocolate strawberries. I hate getting new cards, but I will most certainly do it for fraudulent charges. 1800Flowers is super sketchy. I will update as the week goes by.

We ordered flowers online on Saturday to be delivered today (Tuesday) for my son's girlfriend's 21st birthday at her college in Virginia. I got a confirmation email with the right delivery date and an email update when the order was shipped and in transit. Some time today the delivery date for the FedEx tracking # switched from end of day today to end of day tomorrow. I called the 800 number and eventually got a customer service rep. She was wonderful, her name was Marie. She was very apologetic and sincere, but told me she couldn't do anything other than confirm the flowers wouldn't be delivered on time and offer a discount for the next order. I was put on hold a total of 5 times as I repeatedly asked for at least a partial refund and to talk to a supervisor. Her supervisor refused to give any kind of refund, unless the order was canceled and then refused to speak to me when I insisted he be put on the phone.

When I asked for the supervisor's name Marie said she was not permitted to give it to me. I then asked for the address of the headquarters so I could write to someone about the level of unprofessionalism of the supervisor and after being on hold again was told they would give me a partial refund (half of the order) and that it would take 1-2 "billing cycles" to get it. To Marie's credit, she was patient, apologetic and sympathetic the whole time. I encouraged her to take her good customer service skills to a better run company that wouldn't throw her under the bus. The whole call took 37 minutes. I will not order from this place again.

However, as soon as I went to redeem the Groupon voucher, I suddenly got an error message.

After several more tries in case I had entered the code wrong, I suddenly got an error message that the product wasn't available in my area. The customer service agent was super unhelpful and kept telling me to just order it and that it was okay if the recipient got the bouquet a couple of days after their birthday because it's better late than never! Seriously?! All the other options in my price range were blah and I was forced to go with an ugly bouquet because I had the voucher to use. I bought a one-year subscription to this company for free delivery and thought it would be cool if my girl got flowers at least once a month. I would order at least one week in advance, and they would never be delivered on the scheduled day. I would call and they would say "sorry, we will redeliver tomorrow." So next month I would order again, thinking that it would actually be delivered on time. But no, no deliver on the scheduled day. This has happened every single time I ordered. 9 times. When I talk to customer service, all they do is apologize and rehash a script over and over, apologizing, not actually doing anything. When you finally tell them you want your money back, then they give you a redelivery for the next day. So I take the redelivery and give them yet another chance next month. And it happens all over again.

I've been stupid enough to give them 9 chances, and they screwed up all 9 times. Then after all the redelivery B.S., their script tells them to ask you to leave a good review for them. This most recent order, my girl is leaving her job for a new one, so I thought I'd give her flowers the day before. Well, they don't show up on the scheduled day as usual, so I call and they say they will redeliver the next day, as they always say. Then they don't show up the next day either and their customer service wants to deliver the first day after the weekend! It was her last day! She isn't going to be there on Monday! They needed to be there on the requested day! I even gave them an extra day since I know they always screw up and they still couldn't deliver! How is this company even in business?

So we thought that flowers would brighten his day. I called on the 28th and after nearly an hour on the phone, I was promised (3xs) that the flowers would be delivered to the hospital that day, his birthday. They WERE NOT delivered that day.

I called on the 29th to find out why the flowers were not delivered on the 28th, as promised. I was told then that delivery was scheduled for the 31st. I told the customer service agent that this was unacceptable and that my father-in law was leaving the hospital the next day, the 30th. I said that the flowers needed to be delivered that day. The agent told me that it was impossible because flowers weren't delivered after three p.m. It was just three p.m. I said that I was promised that they would be delivered on the 28th--so why weren't they delivered on the 29th? I was told they they WOULD be delivered on the 30th, no problem. Another HOUR wasted. The flowers WERE NOT delivered on the 30th either.

When I called to ** and **, I did, I was told that they would be delivered on the 31st to the home of my father-in-law. ANOTHER HOUR WASTED as the flowers were DELIVERED TO THE HOSPITAL instead of my father-in-law's home!!!!!! My father-in-law had already gone home!!! PLEASE DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!! In addition, the flower arrangement looked nothing like what I ordered. When I complained to 1-800 Flowers about this, they said "sorry". When I pushed for a refund AND re-delivery of the correct items, after 2 attempts, I was given a 50% refund and no offer to redeliver.

Finally, after the 5th attempt and sending really angry emails, they offered to re-deliver and the rep I worked with assured me over and over that the re-delivery would be just fine. Was it? No, they didn't deliver the balloon. I did get an apology email from someone in charge a couple days later, with a $20-off-your-next-order offer, but I won't use them again. They royally messed up and never offered to "make it right" like they said they would. They only reason I got a refund and a re-delivery was by being an angry customer, which I really hated to do. I spent 40 futile minutes on the phone with a blatantly incompetent customer service representative. My wife later contacted customer service and had similar frustrating conversations with them, even well after we had repeatedly confirmed the correct delivery address and the phone number of the person receiving the flowers.

48 hours after the flowers were supposed to be delivered, I received yet another phone call from customer service, insisting that we did not provide the correct address and phone number, even though we did. Finally, 3 full days after the flowers were supposed to be delivered, they were successfully delivered. They later apologized, offering a $20 discount on a future order. As that would mean spending more money on their terrible service, I think I'll pass. This experience was a disaster from start to finish. On Jan 3rd I ordered 3 large standing sprays for my father’s memorial and paid $826.00 for the 3 arrangements. At the time of service I notice only 2 standing sprays have been delivered which were nothing close to what I had seen on the website and had ordered. When I called asking for the 3rd one, I was told it’s going to be delivered from a different local flower shop. Towards end of the service, final arrangement arrived and it looked horribly pathetic. I’m very disappointed because I was expecting beautiful arrangements like it was shown on the site for my father's service, something that he deserved and what was delivered, was embarrassing.

After I complained and sent 1-800-Flowers the pictures, they agreed to refund what I had paid but honestly what I wanted was deserving arrangements for the service and it was too late for that. I suggest if you order flowers through this site, ask them to send you a picture of your order before delivery. About an hour later I got a call telling me that they couldn't make the delivery because they didn't have anyone in the hospital by that name. I was a little confused but didn't think anything of it so I said maybe she's in under her married name. I updated the name and they said because it's late they have to do it tomorrow...sighhhh. Here we go again with tomorrow. But what could I do. Tomorrow came. I get a call. "They don't have a person in the hospital by that name." I call the hospital...and behold she was registered under the first name I gave them and in the same room I put on the order.

I call AGAIN to update her name to the first. I get a call about an hour later. The vendor said they are about to close and will be unable to make the delivery but they can deliver it on Monday....NO CAN DO. So the rep canceled the order and placed another one using another vendor. This was between 11-12 pm. I get a call at 4 pm telling me the vendors unable to place the order because they don't have all the flowers to place the order...saaayyyy what now???? Come again????Needless to say I canceled the order and they told me they would email me a coupon for my next order. I haven't received it yet. But It will collect dust because I will NEVER use 1800flowers again. NO WAY!

Apparently, I'm not the only one that has had the worst experience with this company. It's embarrassing how poor the customer service is and I will never go through this company again for flowers. So, I hate to say this, but they do not speak English very well so placing an order correctly the first time is pretty much impossible. Y'all, I swear to you (and have pictures to prove it), I had to call them 8 TIMES to get the order correct. And then I checked my account today and they charged me twice for the bouquet (and the flowers are not cheap!). I called very upset and of course, they were of no help and only stressed me out more. The only thing I could do was notify my bank and open a claim. Hopefully I get my money back. :( Do yourself a favor and please please please go through another florist. Don't risk the stress.

I requested to speak with the call center in the US 5 times with 5 different agents who refused to transfer me. I've been a loyal customer for years and find my experience when placing an order exasperating! The agents can barely speak English & I find it challenging to place an order. If anyone is interested I finally received the corporate office # which is 866-257-7779. By law your when you request to be transferred to the US call center a company is supposed to honor your request. No one should go through what I just experienced. The US call center should be the first point of contact. I truly understand why there are so many complaints online about orders that are screwed up, I think I know the reason why...

My husband ordered flowers for me for our anniversary, but they were never delivered. The order was placed 1/7 and promised to deliver on 1/14 by 5pm. I understand mistakes happen, but here is why I would recommend not using this company. Should your order not arrive, a refund is hard to get and their customer service is not helpful.

I called customer service for my husband who was on a plane at the time to request a refund. The first representative I spoke with said she couldn't help me with the status of the order and said I'd have to call back in 20-30 minutes to speak with an agent(?). So I have to call customer service BACK about my issue? Why can't the agent call me back? I left my name and number for an agent to call me back because I refused to wait around to call back customer service for the issue I just called about. Spoiler Alert: I never received a phone call from an agent.

So I called back customer service and spoke with a different representative, the second representative. He told me the flowers were delivered and I signed for them. I wasn't even at the office when the supposed delivery arrived at 5:15pm to even sign for the delivery. So he put me on hold for 2 minutes, then said a delivery will arrive this afternoon. I told him I didn't want it and asked for a refund. He said since I was the recipient my husband would have to call for the refund. That made no sense to me, since we are married and share our money and credit cards. The rep explained that this is their company policy, which is fine, but I wanted to speak with a manager about it to give feedback about this policy. He said I couldn't speak with a manager and that there was no number I could call to escalate this issue or provide my feedback.

After spending the majority of my day trying to get a refund on an order that never arrived, I was left spending my time looking up the Corporate Headquarters number to see about escalating my issue and providing feedback. The representative I spoke with, the third representative to work on this issue, said that what the second rep told me was not true and that I should have been given a manager to speak with. She also told me they have many call stations and she couldn't tell who the actual rep was that I spoke with there. She promised to escalate this to the powers that be, but I find it sad and disappointing that this company does not have a good process for handling orders that aren't delivered and providing refunds.

Also, I sincerely doubt upper management will ever find out about my encounter with them, nor will the second representative I spoke with be coached on how to better handle situations like mine. Don't waste your time or money using this company. Choose a local florist. I assure you that your experience and time will be better spent elsewhere. Outcome: No refund until my husband can call them after his flight lands. Hope he doesn't have to call back in like I did because the first representative can't fix the issue, or provide the refund.

Worst customer service I've ever received. They messed up my order and refused to make it right. The product received looked nothing like the website's picture, had completely different flowers, was missing several things, and the flowers received were in rather sad condition. I've wasted almost two hours of my time through email and phone calls to fix it, yet they refuse to. Their customer service rep named "Vic" promised me he would call me back the next day with a resolution. He never called.

I emailed my complaints and the email responses were the complete opposite of helpful. They repeatedly refused to refund my money for THEIR mistake. I asked them who the local florist was they used so I would know to never use them again, and they said they can't tell me that confidential information. I not only will never use 1-800-Flowers.com again, but I will do my best to let everyone I know how terrible this company is. I have never been jerked around so bad before by a company. :(

I called 1-800 Flowers to order flowers for a funeral service for a love one. These flowers were from a Ministry that the deceased mother was a part of and it's just a few of us and we gave what we could to show our love but the flowers never made it there. I called Fri 1/10/20 and ordered the flowers for. I should've followed my instincts and cancelled the order then because the representative kept getting all the info incorrect and I had to keep repeating everything to her but I went through with the order anyway. They charged my card while I was still on the phone and that was just fine. Well, at 1:03am I received an email that they charged my card again!

Then, at 6:30am I received an email stating that they were having a problem with the zipcode to the funeral home. When I verified the zipcode with them, they had my home zipcode..huh? Then, they called and stated that they needed the service time and although I gave them all the info for the funeral the day before when I placed the order I gave it to them again and informed them that they charged my card twice. While at the funeral I didn't see any flowers that looked like what I ordered but I was thinking that I could've overlooked them because there were so many. The next day (today) I received a call from them stating they didn't deliver the flowers yesterday because they didn't have the time from me. This was not true at all! I had given them all the info not once but twice.

I asked them to cancel my order and that I would never use their services again and they kept trying to give me 50% off my next order and I kept saying no, just cancel my order. I had to hang up and call back and speak to someone else who also, could not help me. They called just now and I was finally able to get them to agree to cancelling my order BUT I will have to wait and see the email confirmation and the money back on my card. I will be reporting them to the BBB also. Please do not use them.

I have used 1-800-Flowers for years and never had an issue, but after this last transaction I will never use them again. I had placed an online order on Tuesday for local florist delivery on Friday for my mother's birthday. On Friday at 4:44pm EST I received a text that the flowers were delivered. Around 2 hours later when I am speaking to my mother I had to ask if she received the flowers and she did not. I then called customer service and they said they were delivered, when I insisted they were not, they put me on hold and came back and apologized and said the delivery confirmation was a mistake and they just spoke with the florist, that when the flowers left the florist is when they sent the delivery confirmation (in error) and that the delivery person was on route and would be delivered by 8pm.

So after 8pm and still no flowers delivered I called back customer service and explained what the previous rep had said and they kept on insisting that they were delivered at 4:44 pm when the text was sent and that they do not send the texts unless they are delivered (from reading the reviews I now know that is not correct). Either the first rep did not enter any notes on my order, or the second rep would not acknowledge the notes. I asked if they could call the florist and they said it was too late as they were all closed by now. Then the second rep said to give it more time since the first rep said they were out for delivery (even though her position was that they were already delivered???). This is the rep that told me they were already delivered and would not acknowledge what the first rep had told me, so I have no idea which one is telling the truth (neither one was).

Needless to say nothing was ever delivered on Friday. Then the second rep stated that they could send out a replacement arrangement on Saturday but would not guarantee a delivery window and would not charge the delivery fee (that you for not charging me a delivery fee for something you did not deliver) and asked to put me on hold. After she came back on the line she stated they did not have any florists available until Monday and offered a $20 coupon off my next order (are you kidding me). At this point I have spent over an hour on the phone trying to track down this order, had ruined the surprise for my mother, and needed to find another way to have the flowers sent at last notice. I had no confidence in them delivering on Monday and could see myself on the phone for over and hour again.

I told them to cancel the order, refund my money and keep their coupon because I will never use them again after years of being a loyal customer, you blew it on one this one transaction. The rep said she would cancel the order and it would take a few days to credit back my card. At this point I thought my order fell through the cracks, but after reading many reviews on this site with the same issue I see this is their standard business practice. They are sending out delivery confirmations to fake you out, hoping you will not check if your order was delivered and not ask for compensation.

The customer service reps will tell you anything just to get you off the phone, hoping when you call back you will get someone else. I do want to say that somehow a "rush" delivery was sent on Saturday morning by 8am. I have no idea who sent it as none of the florists are opened, or if you believe any of the reps, none of the florists were available. Wondering if the delivery person had it left over in the van and it was dropped off in the AM.

I have been a passport customer of 1-800-Flowers for many years and until 2019 I had great experiences with my orders. However, the last year, I have had delivery issues with 3 different orders. One of the orders was in a rural area in southern KS, so I chalked it up to that fact. However, on January 6, 2020, I placed a order for a birthday arrangement for my daughter who lives in Chicago, IL to be delivery on January 9, 2020, which was her birthday. My card was charged and the order confirmed for delivery by 8 pm on January 9th. At 5:39 pm on January 9th, I contacted 1-800-Flowers as the order not showing as in transit. I was assured that there was no problems and it would be delivery by 8pm that evening. At 7:45 pm, I again contacted 1-800-Flowers and the customer service representative was not helpful, told me the florist had attempted delivery, which was a lie, as the complex has a 24 hour manned desk.

When I challenged her, and ask to speak to her supervisor, she put in on hold for an extended time and then hung up and did not attempt to return my call as she had verified my phone number in case we were disconnected. I called back and had to start the entire explanation over with another representative, even though I requested to speak to a supervisor. I was repeated told the supervisor was busy. The representative, Thea, was professional and informed me that the florist that the order was originally sent to did not deliver to that area of Chicago, this is a very poor reflection on 800 flowers. She guaranteed a morning delivery on Jan 10, by another florist and agreed to refund half of the cost.

In the afternoon of January 10, the birthday arrangement had still not been delivered as promised so I called again. I spoke with Customer service rep Jacqueline, who was nice, even though I continuous ask to speak to a supervisor. Jacqueline attempted to call the florist, she did call my daughter to apologize for 1800 failure to delivery the arrangement and after 20+ minutes, I was finally connected to supervisor “Kim.” She was apologetic and put me on hold to call the florist. She quoted that the arrangement was out for delivery with the driver and would be delivered before 8 pm. She also asked to call my daughter which I told her was not necessary. She then stated that they would send an additional arrangement to my daughter on Saturday January 11 due to the poor service on my order.

The original Birthday arrangement was not delivered today (1-10, a day later than it was suppose to be delivered). Of course, when I called back to speak with Kim, I was given the run around by Juan, who didn’t know a supervisor name Kim. Do not pay for passport and I’d recommend using a reputable company that will follow thru on what they promise.

On December 18, 2019, my elderly mother with help from a much younger friend placed an order on the phone with 1-800 Flowers.com. The order was for my New Year's Day birthday. She explained that the order was for her daughters birthday which was on January 1st. It was important for the flowers to arrive as I was having a party and she wanted her floral gift to be there for all to see. Mom called me New Years Eve at 6 PM to see if her gift arrived. I was surprised to learn she ordered me flowers, no more the less from 1-800flowers. I told her it was late and if they would be delivered my Ring door bell would let me know and I would go home to get them. Needless to say, no delivery.

Mom called Fed-Ex that night and again on January 1st. Both times they said no delivery until January 2nd. The flowers were delivered today, the 2nd. The tracking report showed the shipment information was sent to FedEx on Dec 27; picked up on Dec 30 in Livonia, MI; it traveled thru Ohio until arriving in Chicago on December 31, 6:10 pm and delivered today, the 2nd at 2:30 pm.

I know my mother would have been explicit with arrival by December 31st so I would have them for my party on January 1st. However, the card in my box read: No Special instructions. Hello!!! Since she told the agent the date (December 31) it had to be there, why wasn't she given the option of paying more to make sure it was delivered on time? Or why didn't the shipment start two days earlier? Why wasn't she referred to one the the Illinois 1-800 Flower shops?

The 2 dozen roses with a mini balloon and small stuffed bear, plus shipping cost her almost $90!!! Mom said the bear was not necessary, but it was a package.

The flowers were in a box for days with no water. Some rose petals looked bad and leaves droopy. I had to cut the stems and arrange in a plain glass vase which was too small for 2 dozen roses. Therefore, I put 1 dozen in another vase. I told my mother to call 1-800 flowers and demand a refund. Too little, too late! After a long conversation, the lady would only refund half. Mom asked to speak to a supervisor, but no luck.

I asked my mother to never order from them again and tell all her friends and everyone she meets to never order from 1-800 Flowers.com! She could have called a local florist and had a beautiful floral piece sent which would have been beautifully arranged with baby's breath, etc, wrapped in cellophane and tied with a ribbon.... and of course, delivered on time!!! I've always been a flower person and give flowers all the time from local florists and nurseries. Mom wanted to treat me to flowers for my special day, but no luck. She feels so bad. I thanked her many times and said, please pay this forward and tell all about your experience and buy from your local florist!!! Lesson learned.

I ordered flowers for a friend for her 60+ wedding anniversary, after her husband had died 2 months earlier. I requested they be delivered early afternoon on that date, so she could enjoy them on this painful day for her. I was told it would be done. The delivery date arrived, and the status bar on the website showed (at 5:00 pm!) that they were NOT in transit, NOT delivered! I called and also did a chat with 1800Flowers. They said that the florist had been by the recipient's house at 4:00 pm but they were not home and they didn't leave them at the door. I found this hard to believe and asked why they weren't left at the door. Then they told me that they would be delivered the next day in the afternoon! I told them it was very important that the recipient get them on the day of her and her late husband's anniversary, NOT the following day!

Having paid a high price for these flowers, I expected that they would be delivered in a timely manner. I requested the phone number of the local florist and they absolutely would not give it to me. They had my money, and my friend had no flowers. With all the double talk I got from the representatives (one actually disconnected our chat session), I still don't know if the flowers were delivered.

I searched without success for a florist in town so I could pick out an arrangement and deliver it myself, but I think florist shops are going out of business due to companies like 1800Florist. You're stuck ordering online and having absolutely no control over when your flowers are delivered, or even what they look like. You can't speak to a supervisor or administrative staff to find out the truth about your order, and you end up talking to reps in the Philippines that are very difficult to understand. The entire experience was frustrating and horrible. I tried to do something good for my friend, but they turned it into a nightmare. I WILL NEVER, EVER USE 1800FLOWERS.COM AGAIN, especially when it's an important occasion. (And most flower-giving occasions are important, but not to 1800Flowers.com. As long as they have your money, they don't really give a snap, as discovered by my experience with them.)

If being hung up on 5 times is excellent customer service, this 1-800-Flowers is the company for you. My husband and I received flowers on our front doorstep very late at night and the card did not have who it was sent by. We called to speak to a representative and she hung up when she was having issues looking up our order. We called back thinking it might be a dropped called, but sure enough it happened 5 more times. We repeatedly asked to speak to a manager/supervisor because we felt extremely disrespected. And of course kept getting hung up on. I will never use this company for anything ever again.

I had used 1800Flowers for years and never had quite an experience like this - I ordered a holiday arrangement on 12/24 to be delivered 12/26. No issue ordering at all. On 12/26 I received an email from them which was partial/cryptic and said 'we tried to reach you by phone about your order, unfortunately' and there was nothing following other than the phone number to call. On 12/26 I used the chat session from their site. The sales rep told me the florist was out of the one flower type and I said fine just substitute it. They said they would and would contact the florist. On 12/28 I received no email confirmation that it was delivered so I used the chat again and the sales rep told me they tried to deliver but the recipient was not there. They said they would contact the florist and ask they try again.

On 12/30 early morning still no confirmation it was delivered so I called customer service (offshore and I believe India) - after being on the phone with them checking for close to 20 mins they disconnected me. I called back and had a different sales rep and explained the issue again. They put me on hold for about 10 mins and came back and said their 'tools' to check the order wasn't working and to hold a little longer. Once again they disconnected me. I called back and got yet another sales rep. She looked up the order and told me she would cancel and reorder it to have it delivered that day.

Within 15 mins, I received an email from them saying they tried to reach me by phone (complete lie) but I needed to contact them to reschedule delivery. I called them back and was told there was no local florist (confirming their first statement about the recipient not being there for a delivery attempt was also a lie). She told me I needed to replace the order with something not from a local florist and instead FedEx/box delivered. She kept trying to convince me to purchase 'I love you red roses' which as a holiday gift to a boss from her team is completely inappropriate.

After 15-20 mins of her not finding anything comparable, I said just cancel the order and she agreed. I placed an order with FTD.com and it was set to be delivered 12/31. I thought all was fine and then received an email from 1800flowers saying my order was shipped and was in transit via fedex. The sales rep went ahead and placed a new order of roses/lilies in a wateford crystal vase - and charged my credit card $50.00 more than the original order. I was able to contact ftd.com and they cancelled the order I had with them. 1800flowers is great as long as you don't have to contact their incompetent customer service. Horrible experience with them and I will definitely be trying others for future purchases.

    Reviewed Dec. 31, 2019

I have been a satisfied customer of 1-800 Flowers for many years. My first dissatisfaction was last year for my 25 anniversary. I wanted to send my wife a bouquet of yellow roses. The yellow rose is a symbol of friendship. I naturally thought since my wife is my best friend, and we had been married for 25 years that the symbolism of a bouquet of long stem yellow roses was perfect. Considering I gave her a silver Platinum Expedition as a 25th anniversary gift, (25 year being the silver anniversary). You only get one chance to get everything right on the only 25 anniversary of your life.

However, after confirming availability, and taking my money for the order they called me on the day of delivery to tell me yellow roses were not available and they would like to substitute red roses for the yellow roses. I expressed my dissatisfaction and agreed to the substitution. The flowers were delivered and my wife never knew the difference. But I did. I wasn't happy about it then and I'm not happy about it now.

Fast forward to my 26th anniversary today December 30 2019. This year, I called 1800 flowers at 9:06 am and ordered 1 dozen long stem yellow roses to be delivered to my wife at her work. The young man who took my order guaranteed delivery between 9am and 5pm since they were delivering to a business. The entire call took 8 minutes. Lo and behold at 12:20PM 3 hours and 14 min after placing my order I missed a call from 1800 flowers. I called them back at 12:54PM. They wanted to inform me that yellow roses would not be available and they would like to substitute red roses for the yellow roses. (I'm starting to see a pattern here.) 1800 flowers for the second year in a row confirmed the availability, placed the order, and took my payment. Only this year they didn't deliver any flowers at all. My wife was at work until 5:25pm.

Once I realized that the flowers were not delivered, I called 1800 flowers at 5:46pm to get this situation rectified. I was very upset and after being on hold for 21 minutes. I didn't waste any time letting them know how ridiculous I thought it was that they take and confirm my order only to call midday of the delivery date, when there is no time to get your order delivered on time from somewhere else, and change the order. I don't understand. On both occasions I was under the impression that the person taking my order was confirming the availability of the specific item the I was ordering. At least that's what they said.

I made a simple request. I asked that they return my money and deliver the flowers on Thursday January 2nd the next day that my wife's office would be open. The person on the other end of the line informed me that they would only be able to grant one of my request. I absolutely lost it. You mean to tell me that you confirmed the availability of my order, call me three hours later and change my order, and guarantee delivery by 5:00pm and then when you don't deliver any product at all and the only thing that you offer is to return my money. Nothing at all, not as much as a discount on a future order. I got off of the phone completely frustrated.

At 6:20pm I called the 1800 flowers customer service line thinking that I would get some customer service. Angelica employee id # ** asked me how she could help (I was on the phone with her for 45 minutes). I repeated this entire story to her. She listened to my demand, and then informed me that my payment had been returned, and that she would deliver the order on Thursday January 2nd and that since they had more time they would even be able to make the order for 1 dozen long stem yellow roses. I thought to myself that is the way you handle customer service. Angelica asked if she could put me on a quick hold so she could get final approval. She returned after about 10 min. To inform me that unfortunately she was not able to fulfill my request.

At that time, I asked to speak to her supervisor. She started to tell me that her supervisor was busy with other customers and that she would not be available for some time. I told her that was fine, I would wait. (At this point I had over an hour of my time trying to get some customer service.) She continued to explain that I should call back later. I said that I can not believe after they ruined my anniversary gift for my wife that the supervisor wouldn't make time to hear my complaint. I demanded to speak to her supervisor and then she hung up on me. I could not believe it. I will never use 1-800 Flowers again.

I placed an order online on Friday, 12/27, for a "Get Well" bouquet of flowers to be delivered on Saturday, 12/28, to a relative who had just gotten out of the hospital. 1-800-Flowers called me a couple hours later to inform me that their florist for that ZIP code was closed, so the bouquet would be delivered as buds packed in a box delivered by FedEx (with no discount, by the way).

I let the agent know that I did not want to send a DIY bouquet to my sick relative and to please cancel the order so I could order flowers somewhere else. She put me on hold while she tried to "make it right". I spent upwards of 15 minutes on hold while she tried to find another florist to deliver the bouquet - seems like they could have done that before they called me, but whatever. The agent found a florist. English was not her first language, so I asked her to confirm TWICE that the order would be delivered on 12/28 in a vase and pre-arranged. She confirmed for me TWICE that was the case.

As of 4:30 p.m. on 12/28, I still hadn't gotten an "out for delivery" text, so I contacted 1-800-Flowers to confirm for the 3rd time that the flowers would be delivered on time. That agent informed me that the flowers were scheduled for delivery on TUESDAY, 12/31. I again asked to cancel the order and spent another 10 minutes on hold while they tried to "make it right." Their solution? To deliver the bouquet on Monday, 12/30. I was livid. I asked AGAIN to cancel the order. This time they try to offer me a discount of $16 on the $60 order to get me not to cancel. Is this company kidding?

Finally got the order cancelled and placed an order with another company, but it's too late in the day for same-day delivery. So the flowers will be late (but not as late as 1-800-Flowers would have delivered them). If 1-800-Flowers' agent had not lied to me on 12/27 to keep me from cancelling my order, I still would have had time to get those flowers delivered on time. Absolutely will not ever be doing business with this company again.

I ordered flowers for my 92 year old grandmother on Dec. 10, to deliver December 23. The Christmas arrangement was lavender roses with other white flowers and decorative pine cones, size large. What arrived was bright pink roses thrown in a vase with half dead white flowers, no pinecones, very very small. My husband called and complained. The women didn't speak English well and could not understand most of the conversation. She finally offered to resend the arrangement, after Christmas. We agreed because getting a refund at this point wasn't going to happen.

A broken English customer service representative called my grandmother the night before delivery and grilled her down on what arrangement she had and how big it is and what flowers were put in it! Why would they stress her out in that way? Very poor customer service. This has happened before. They sent an arrangement a week earlier than scheduled last year, and when we complained, they sent someone to take the arrangement back from my grandmother, only to deliver the same arrangement a week later dry and old and with less flowers than the first time! I will never use 1-800 Flowers again.

They just wanted to refund 50%. They don't remember their 100% happy guarantee or refund!!!

Then on 12/24 got fresh flowers. Vase was broken. Had 3 dead red roses. Had ordered largest version of arrangement and got smallest, the saddest mess ever. Am sick over it. I upgraded to a larger arrangement, gave my card information and did not get the total for delivery or fees until the process was completed and card was charged. The order was 59.00 and I was charged over 80.00. I let it go because I was in a hurry to help with arrangements. I got 2 recorded messages from them stating the date needed changed to Saturday instead of Friday because the florist checked with the funeral home and found out the funeral was Saturday. I called them and told the Saturday is fine, but the funeral is at 10, so please have them delivered before the funeral. I was assured they would be.

I got 3 more calls stating to call them back. I called again, explained everything and the rep told me they cannot guarantee the time because they have until 8 for deliveries. Hung up, called back, explained everything to someone that asked the same questions after I explained what had happened. She was in a different time zone because she said they could deliver today for me by 10. I told her NO, it is 1PM here, so that’s impossible and Saturday is fine, but it must be before 10 AM Saturday. She then says, "We have until 8 PM to deliver." Over and over I said the same thing!!!!

I went to the funeral and no flowers!!!! I called them and explained again what happened and the rep put me on hold for 15 minutes, came back and said she spoke to the florist and they are on the way now. I asked for the florist phone number to make sure and she said they were not allowed to give it to me. I went to the funeral home director and he showed them to me where they had been placed on a small side table and the delivery time was 950. They were a tiny basket and looked wilted. So, the replied because they were not on their way. The good part was that they were delivered before 10. This arrangement was pathetic for the price and definitely not the upgraded size. I went to a local florist and paid 50.00 for a beautiful arrangement and took them to my friend after the funeral. I was so embarrassed by the arrangement 1800flowers sent. 80.00 wasted!!!!

Called back to see if anything was done and the rep asked me to go through everything again. She assured me there would be no additional charge to my card. (Flowers and petals wilted, lack of volume compared to photo, poor quality of flowers.) I asked for photos, and sent them to 1-800-Flowers through the website and Twitter. For the first recipient, we decided to have a new arrangement sent, which will be delivered FOUR days after original delivery, three days after my complaint. They also could not guarantee that the new arrangement would like what I ordered - fingers crossed here.

Second delivery was so awful that my friend said she did not want a new arrangement and that I should ask for my money back. It took ALL day, with multiple emails, a phone call and interaction on Twitter to get a refund. The reps on Twitter seemed very concerned, but you can’t imagine my complete disappointment and embarrassment when my friends/family received such poor quality arrangements.

I share this review, as it appears that there is a problem with the florists they choose to use. I ordered a relatively simple arrangement, and had it sent to two different people in two different states - NY and Florida. As convenient as it is to order online, I am going to have to go back to using my local florist for local deliveries and will send a different gift to friends and family out of town.

I placed an order on 12/12/2019 with a 12/13/2019 delivery date. When I received confirmation from 1800Flowers that it would be delivered on 12/13/2019, which made me very happy. On 12/13/2019 the flowers were NOT delivered. When I clicked on the tracking, I was upset to find out the order delivery date was 12/16/2019. I did not receive any notification from 1800flowers that the 12/13/2019 delivery date was not going to be met. Lesson learned.... If you have a special occasion, shop with a local florist if you want a guaranteed delivery.

This morning I ordered my daughter “Happy Birthday" Flowers who lives in San Francisco and I live in Los Angels. Along with the Flowers I added Balloons for $11.99 for two. My total purchase was $111.00. I received a text confirming the delivery is when my daughter text me a picture of the flowers. In the picture I noticed there weren’t any balloons so I asked her did she get balloons with her flowers and she stated no.. I contact One 800 Flowers and they stated that they would call the florist who made the delivery while I was on hold. The representative for one 800 flowers return on the line and told me the Florist Who delivered the flowers forgot about the balloons.

I was ask, "Can we make the delivery for the balloons tomorrow," and I responded today is her birthday not tomorrow. At that time the representative put me on hold and spoke with her supervisor and came back to the telephone and said, "To compensate you for your inconvenience can we add one balloon to your order and try to Have your balloons delivered today." First of all You can buy these balloons for $.99 at the party store or the Dollar Store and they’re charging $11.99 and they want to resolve the inconvenience by adding one balloon and maybe delivery can be delivered today. Really!!!! I asked them to refund my money and I was no longer going to use them anymore because this is the first time there has been issues with my order. I’M DONE!

Went online and chose a plant in a beautiful container for delivery in sympathy for the passing of a young girl. The delivery date showed available online and I chose it. No notification. No phone call. No email. Wasn't delivered until the following day. It was important to he there on the original delivery day. I tried two different ways to contact them to say I was dissatisfied. No response at all. No customer service whatever. Once you pay, that's it. They haven't communicated with me at all.i will never use them again. Plenty of others to choose.

I ordered an arrangement for my Mom, they delivered 9pm at night and it was not even close to what I ordered. I emailed them, they called back and offered to send another one, which I appreciated. Delivered after 9pm again, but they just left it on the porch! She sent me another picture, and again not even close to what I ordered.

I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told they were not available. I am very disappointed and upset over this whole experience and would not recommend you use this service.

I ordered an "arrangement" for my Mom and basically had the same experience as most others. I was "guaranteed" next day delivery..never happened. I called to ask where my arrangement was.. They said "we'll email you when it arrives." Two days later.. here are the photos (see below) of what was delivered and what I had ordered. Can you guess which one is which? These third party companies need to be outsourced immediately! Oh, and lastly.. I never received an "email" confirming my shipment has arrived. Needless to say, I will NEVER use them again or recommend them to my worst enemy.

I placed an order on 11/25 for delivery on 11/29/19. However, upon checking my 1800Flowers account on 12/3, I noticed that the flowers I ordered had never been delivered on 11/29. I contacted 1800flowers who told me there was an issue and the flowers would be delivered on 12/6 and they would refund 50% of the order and send me a certificate for $20. I never received the $20 certificate. On 12/9, I received a voicemail saying that there was an issue with my order. I checked my account and it appears that the flowers (which should have been delivered on 11/29) still have not yet been delivered as of 12/10. I was on hold for over 30 minutes before they confirmed that the order will be delivered on 12/13 (14 days after when it should have been delivered). I told them that this is totally unacceptable and to cancel my order.

I ordered the "Dazzling Unicorn Fruit Bouquet" with a balloon to be delivered to my niece for her 6th birthday. Delivery was promised between 9-6 pm, however nothing arrived by 6. I called and was told to wait another hour or two. After 8 pm something arrived... Not what I ordered though. For $76 and based on the picture online it should have been dazzling with unicorns a bouquet of fruit and a balloon! There were NO unicorns! NO fruit bouquet! No balloon! And it certainly was NOT dazzling! Instead, it was a small box of 6 puny, unappetizing, hideous strawberries.

I immediately called to correct and was given the run around for 45 minutes. They offered to resend the correct item and give me a 50% off coupon for a future order. NO THANKS! I will not be ordering from here again. I demanded a full refund and was put on hold for longer. Eventually, I was told to "keep an eye out" for a refund in 5-7 business days. When I asked for a confirmation number they said they didn't have one but they would email it. So I waited for an email... Nothing. Refund... nothing.

I call again. Given the run around for another 60+ minutes. She put me on hold and never came back to my call. So I call for A THIRD TIME! I immediately ask to speak to a supervisor and I am denied. I had to go through the whole process of explaining the situation for the third time. Don't these customer service people keep notes in the system??? After nearly 50 minutes I am again promised a full refund with no confirmation number, no email. I suppose I am out $76 for 6 rotten strawberries. Do not trust them!

A couple of years ago a friend gave me a family necklace from 1800flowers. I loved it. It was a silver circle with my kids' names stamped on it. The engraving was filled with black ink so they stood out. My daughter recently asked for one like it. I saw they had the same necklace on their site (looks like mine) and ordered it. What a disappointment. The metal is flimsier and the chain chunky and cheap. The circle pendant is smaller and the names are engraved so small that I had to put on magnifiers to detect if it was engraved at all. False advertising to use the picture from their old necklace. I threw this one away and ordered from a different site. Beware of the quality of gift items.

This is the worst experience ever. I will be leaving negative reviews everywhere. I paid DOUBLE to have my daughters flowers delivered on her birthday. I received a call at 8 pm telling me it was not going to be delivered by florist but you could’ve deliver from your farm- in China maybe? Because obviously the customer service rep barely spoke English. I said NO. I was told I would receive a 50% discount. And it would be a different arrangement then what i ordered. I received NOTHING. Except- A confirmation of shipping from Fed Ex at 8pm the next day saying it would be delivered TWO DAYS LATER. I called and said NO. I want a refund. Again barely spoke English. Telling me that was not possible. This is absolutely ridiculous! Your are lying and stealing. Misleading customers into using your company. And still 2 days later ZERO FLOWERS! -

Based on the photo on the 1-800-Flowers.com site, I chose this bouquet to send to a friend as a congratulations/recognition. The photo showed a modern square glass vase, beautiful white flowers with BLUE accents, some pine fronds and some pinecones.. beautiful. What she rec'd was A single white rose, a couple white carnations, a few white Persian lilies, some greenery and PURPLE in a cheap hourglass vase. No blue, no pine fronds/pine cones. Not AT ALL what was presented in the their photo. SO embarrassing to have what looked like a $12.00 grocery store bouquet sent and so maddening that I was charged >$75.00 for it! To their credit, they did issue a partial refund, but only $24.00. I will not order from this company again, though.. don't trust them to send/guarantee what they are presenting!

I placed an order several days before delivery for flowers to my wife for her birthday. The delivery was never made. I called to follow up and the person's English was very difficult to follow. There was no explanation as to why the delivery never was made and the representative just said they needed more information on the address. The delivery was complete on my order so this was absurd - as were some of her questions, such as whether the address was on a street! The representative did everything to try to get me to send the flowers late instead of getting a refund. I was willing to do that but the questions she posed (What's the name of the house? Is it on a street?) were so absurd that I insisted on a refund. She asked her supervisor and finally obtained it (although we'll see if I get it). This was a bad experience all around and I won't use 1-800-FLOWERS.COM again.

On November 30, I ordered Christmas cookies and candy to be delivered as a gift on December 3 by 8:00 PM. The $28.00 shipping charge seemed ridiculously high but I completed the order assuming that such a high charge would guarantee on-time delivery. But the order was not delivered on December 3. The online order status indicated that the order was not even in transit yet. The automated telephone order status indicated that the order was out for delivery. When I called again and waited on hold to speak to a human being, I was told that the order would be delivered on December 4th. I complained and demanded a refund but was only able to get a partial refund. Hopefully the cookies will be delivered tomorrow, December 4th and will be of high quality and I will see my partial refund on my credit card. Even if all those things happen, I will never do business with this company again.

Caution: Don't order from these guys. What you see is NOT what you get! I spent 200 bucks for a large arrangement and got something only half the size and with mostly withered dying flowers. And when I called to complain I had to haggle my way to a 50% refund that was never credited to me. They lie in their advertising and in person. If I were able to post the picture you would see just how insulting the arrangement was.

I had ordered flowers through this company, which was recommended by RBC via their online deals. The flowers were ordered 3 days in advance to a funeral, and it was confirmed twice that they would in fact arrive on the correct date. They were supposed to arrive at 1pm to the funeral home, but despite this, the order was never fulfilled nor received, and the only thing we got was a call AFTER the funeral stating that due to a high volume of orders, they could no longer fulfill ours. Please keep in mind that they confirmed with us TWICE that they would deliver the flowers on time and did not even have the courtesy to call prior to the funeral to let us know. This is a joke of a company and should not be taken seriously. Spend your money elsewhere, as we are still awaiting our refund (we were told it should take 2 months to refund)!

Thanksgiving centerpiece was not delivered as promised. A substitution was ordered by 1800Flowers (a bouquet instead of a centerpiece) to be delivered December 3. When I tracked the order on November 27, the website indicated it would be delivered by 8 pm. After speaking with customer service (I called because the flowers had not been delivered by 8pm) I was informed by supervisor Ulysses, that no flowers could be delivered in time for Thanksgiving. I was upset that the order was allowed to go through and be paid for, yet 1800Flowers could not deliver. Since I was not informed of this fact, I could not try to rectify this situation. 1800Flowers instead was just going to charge me $93.26 and send a different flower arrangement and have it arrive 6 days later. The only thing that 1800Flowers offered to do was to call the recipient with their apologies. Very disappointed....
