I wanted to cry when I opened the box from 1-800-Flowers.com that was delivered by UPS today. The flowers (and I use the term loosely) were closed, freezer burned, unopened buds. Some were broken and laying in the box. I can't even tell you what kind of flowers they are.

I placed three orders with them on April 7, 2006, going to three different people. The first one was delivered - flowers were wilted. The second and third orders still had not been delivered as of April 10. I called and asked them why: the reasons were incredible:

First I was told the florist was OUT OF FLOWERS! Then I was told they tried to deliver the flowers, but no one was home. That would be fine except I was delivering to businesses. Then I was told that they were indeed delivered, but the florist couldn't remember who signed for them.

They finally said they would check into things and call me back. I got one phone call from a woman who said the flowers were being re-delivered immediately. Within the same minute, I got a call from another woman who said they couldn't deliver to the airport and that I was getting a refund. THE AIRPORT? I didn't order anything to the airport!

I called back on April 22 because I found out nothing else was ever done on my account (no delivery, no refund) and am told the flowers would all be delivered by 2PM that day. Guess what? Today is April 26 and nothing has been done.

I asked around to people I had sent flowers to before via 1-800-Flowers.com. One person said her flowers were so tiny that she wondered why I had gotten so "cheap" - I had paid nearly $100 for her arrangement!!! What a SHAM!!!

I ordered tulips for my wife for Valentines Day. I specifically selected the product because it included a green ceramic pitcher which I knew she would love. The name of the product even included the word 'pitcher'.

She did receive tulips, but they were the product that was $10 less which did not include the pitcher. Yet 1800Flowers billed me for the product I ordered.

5 day before Valentines Day, I ordered a bear, chocolates, and balloons for my boyfriend. I went to the store personally, paid in cash and was promised the order would arrive on Valentines Day between the hours of 9AM and 5PM.

I called 1-800 the morning of Feb 14th to confirm my order would be shipped and was assured my order was one of the first to be shipped out that morning. I spoke to my boyfriend several times at work that day but he did not mention anything about the gifts. Finally, at 5pm, I had to ruin the surprise and asked him if he recieved anything at work.

I called the place and after getting hung up on several times they put me on hold for 25 minutes. I finally got a manager who told me that 'no one told me that the gift woud be on time'! Her response was "well its too late now, we could resend it tomorrow". I told her that is not ok, my valentines was ruined and to cancel my order. She said ok. She was nasty, rude and unprofessional.

On 2/10/06 I ordered tulips, chocolate and a balloon for Valentines Day. I paid $14.98 extra to make sure that the delivery be made on 02/14/06.

Valentines Day came and went and no delivery was made. Tried to call 1800flowers.com several times only to be put on hold for 20-30 minutes at a time. Tried to get status off the website and only got a message that the order was placed on 02/10/06.

On 02/15/06, I receive an email stating that everything was delivered on 02/14/06 to my girlfriend to her workplace. The website was finally updated to show that the order was received by my girlfriend on 02/14/06 but neither she nor anyone at her workplace received anything, nor was there any message left on her voicemail.

I tried to use their live online support but was put into a queue with more than 800 other people waiting and the number did not move for 30 minutes. I tried again and sent several emails.

I ordered two bouquets for my daughters for Valentine's Day. She lives in a college dorm and I intentionally specified the building so they could deliver the flowers there.

On Valentine's Day I received numerous notices about the delivery status of one daughter's flowers, but not the other's. When I tried to contact them, I encountered an electronic wall. The "customer service" number did not connect with a live person and would repeatedly disconnect. Their "live e-chat" allowed me to register and informed me that there were 215 people ahead of me. While I waited for half an hour that number progressed to 204.

On 2/15 my daughter called to say she finally got her flowers and they were dead. The flowers were left in a "package trailer" and she had to find out where they were and pick them up!

I placed an order, one week in advance, for Valentines Day. I had the option to have flowers delivered on 2/13 and save the extra shipping charges but I opted for delivery on Valentines day, which they claimed was guaranteed.

I checked on the UPS website to track the shipping and it stated my order was out for delivery on the 14th. It turns out the package was left at the UPS warehouse.

I contacted 1800flowers.com and after being disconnected 3 times by live operators, I called the customer service number and received a recording that said "thank you" and hung up! Finally, after 2 hours of calling, I was told the flowers would be delivered the next day and would have to be cancelled by the recipient in order for me to receive a credit.

My husband placed an order for a dozen roses to be delivered to my office on Valentines Day.

The flowers were not delivered until 2:30 the following day. I tried to reach 1800flowers by phone to no avail and also called the number, on the card with the flowers, but only got a recording.

My husband placed an order for 1800flowers to deliver flowers to me for Valentine's Day. They were to be delivered on the 13th, so that I could enjoy them at my desk all week.

    They arrived DEAD.

I called to let them know immediately and was told that they would have flowers delivered from a local florist by the end of the day. This morning I still have not seen any flowers and cannot get through to customer service. The only department I can reach is the order desk and, even speaking with a supervisor, nobody can offer me any assistance.

I ordered a centerpiece for my Wife for the Christmas dinner table. It was never delivered. They did a terrible mis-service and with no explanation, other than "these things happen". I would strongly suggest never using 1800flowers.

I ordered flower from 1800Flowers.com for my girlfriend on 10/11/05 to be delivered on Sweetest Day, 10/15/05. She never received anything and I never received a call from them letting me know what was going on. It’s now 10/19/05 and still no phone call from them. However, they were kind enough to charge my credit card and collect their money. Sweetest Day is over, so no matter what they do now it doesn’t matter. The damage is done.

They have us enter a delivery date for a reason, wouldn’t you think? Especially on specific, or special occasions. If the gift is not delivered on the day that you requested, then what’s the point? Well, they succeeded in destroying Sweetest Day for my and my girlfriend and totally made me look like an idiot. They could have at least called me to let me know the status of my order and perhaps we could have worked something out. I trusted them like the idiot I am. I’ve hade problems with them before and shame on me for even thinking of using them again. This is a company that I will never recommend to anyone, for any reason at all.

I recently won a $50.00 gift certificate from Dr. Pepper and chose the certificate be redeemed at 1800flowers. After I finally decided what to order, and got to the payment page they told me that the gift certificate number was invalid. I contacted Giftcertificates.com and was assured that it is a good number. I then went back to 1800flowers and tried again and again only to get the same message.

Now I am told by Giftcertificates.com that they are not responsible if a merchant does not honor the gift certificate and I am now STUCK with a $50.00 gift certificate that is worth NOTHING!!!!! I am extremley dissapointed with BOTH COMPANIES and recommend any customers that need gift certificates and/or flowers NOT to shop these sites.

I sent flowers to my sister for her 1st Morther's Day and the flowers were dead by Monday. The piture frame that was advertised on the website was a lot smaller and could not hold even a wallet size picture. I was given a hard time about getting my money back on my order seeing as I was not satisfied and my sister needed to leave the flowers and the vase on her porch for days waiting for the florist to pick it up.

I ordered flowers to be deliverd to my girlfriend on Valentine's day a month in advance. The morons never send the flowers out. They did send the shipping information electronically to FedEx but never actually send the flowers to be shipped. So even though I had a tracking number, there were no flowers to be tracked. I called today to report the non delivery and didn't even get as much as an apology. The CS rep wanted to know if I would like them to "RETRY" sending the flowers. Needless to say, I asked for a refund and am going to take my business someplace else in the future. I'll have to wait and see how long it takes before they credit my money back to me!!
