My daughter's 1st Thanksgiving at her new home so my husband and I sent a flower arrangement for the table. It was terrible. It had empty spots in it and very little for flowers, I even upgraded to the next price hoping to improve the assortment of flowers. It looked like it was the last one at the local grocery store, as a matter of fact that would have been better. I sent an email letting 1800flowers know and they said that a new arrangement would be delivered the day after Thanksgiving, not good but at least they addressed my issue and a $20 gift email for the next purchase. Well, no new flowers arrived. I let them know and they did nothing about it! I won't be using them again and I will also be blogging and putting this out on my facebook as well as tell all of my coworkers and anyone else that will listen. Ridiculous. I really feel I should have been offered my money back at this point.

I ordered flowers on Dec 2, 2014 from Sacramento California to be delivered to Kokomo Indiana. They were sent out of a South San Francisco warehouse two days later and arrived at Kokomo three days later, where we're told they would be spending three more days in a flower depot until that following Monday, then delivered. This means they spent six days en route in a box, no water, no air. Enclosed is a pathetic picture with all dead flowers. If you are smart, you WILL NOT use this company, EVER... Call a flower shop in the town you want them delivered. It's the smart way to go.

Ordered flowers on Thursday Dec. 4th at 10 AM to be sent same day to a friend who lost her father. I received an email stating that my order had been placed and I would receive up to date tracking information on the order. I received nothing after that. On Friday Dec. 5th at around 2 PM I received a voice mail from "Unknown" with no call back information stating that they could no make my delivery for... no reason! They asked if I would call them back to let them know if it was okay to delivery the flowers on Friday. I had to google a call back number and let them know it was fine. I called them back and had to speak with someone who was definitely not in America, which I do not have a problem with usually - except when the issue is customer service, because they lack the sense of empathy because they do not complete comprehend the language. It is weird. So the woman said "okay we will finally ship the flowers and give you a $20 coupon to use next time." Whoop-di-do, there won't be a next time because I'm never ordering from you again but whatever.

So that was Friday, this morning - Monday I thought, "hmm I STILL haven't received a confirmation email stating that the flowers have in fact been delivered." So I sent them an email, and no response. I phoned the call-center again, and spoke with probably the same girl and she told me that the flowers still have not been delivered because they couldn't find a florist. Sorry but not my problem. Don't allow me to place my order until you DO find a florist. So I simply asked her to cancel my order and refund me. She said again that I would received a $20 off coupon for my next purchase. She also told me they would be sending over a customer satisfaction survey to my email, and to please rate her a 10/10. What? I am going to report this company to the BBB. Now I look like a horribly insensitive friend, because the stupid flowers never arrived. This company is horrible.

My husband ordered flowers to be sent to me at work on our anniversary and they were never delivered. He called and they promised to deliver the next day (Saturday) for a discounted price. Saturday came and went, the flowers never arrived. Very disappointing. He called, received a refund with no explanation from what appears to be an outsourced, out of country call center representative.

They did not send the flowers to the funeral of my Aunt in California. Instead they called me 2 days later apologizing for non-delivery, offering to send flowers to her house. Really? Who would receive them? No one lives there any more. I told them to refund my money instead. They said it would take "a few days". It has been 2 weeks, still no refund. Worst service I have ever received from any company. I will never shop there again. The whole thing made me really sad, because I loved my Aunt dearly.

BAD BUSINESS 1-800 FLOWERS BOYCOTT - A world without florists? Hard to believe? I use to think so, until I agreed to help my new husband with his family run florist, located in a river town community in Hunterdon County, NJ. A profession of floral scents and visual beauty, what could be better? It definitely wasn't the floral profession per se that pushed me over the edge. Flowers bring smiles, add joy to others life, color blue worlds with comfort and love. They are the ceremonial segue into the eternal world, as well as the ointment of beginning new ones.

No, it was the outlandish practices of 1-800 Flowers, as I watched how a company single-handedly ruined a family's livelihood of 15 years with NO remorse. It was their constant thievery, lies, the badgering, their illegalities, in which they are permitted to practice. A corporation whose sole purpose is to put florists out of business. Have them say differently is a bold face lie. Their pathetically low pricing, no room for profit, orders placed by telemarketers who are obviously located in another part of the world, who can barely understand, much less comprehend the English language and their price increase button, use it and you will pay dearly, as well as their reject button.

For the rural florists, like ourselves who are slaves to the wire service, the use of the Mercury system not only interfaces with other wire services, thus keeping track of orders, it in essence provides a paper trail. A practice 1-800 Flowers does not prefer. They try their best to skip that procedure, then deny the order ever happened, thus the florist does not get paid. What I didn't expect was how low 1-800 Flowers was willing to go for their almighty dollar. The ego that is manically infested within the limbic system of Jim McCann's brain, honing refuge in his prefrontal lobe, to play out under his command granting his employees permission to conduct business with arrogance.

It seems that 1-800 Flowers has given itself the proclaimed right of dictating how all funeral directors lay out their funeral parlors. I know this, because when our shop delivered flowers to our local funeral parlor, the disgruntled customer, who was obviously ousted by her family, complained that her arrangement, created exactly the way the she wanted, was not placed at the forefront on a pedestal at the church! That which no florist has control over. Not only was our floral shop docked money, but when I complained to 1-800 Flowers, they said they did not like my attitude and docked us more money! That I'm pretty sure is called theft, which I was beginning to find out was also another endearing practice from 1-800 Flowers.

1-800 Flowers began docking money from us, stating we did not confirm or deliver our orders, when in fact we did and had proof. Remember earlier how important I mentioned a paper trail was? This is exactly the reason why. A lawyer asked us to put together a pattern of 1-800 Flowers illegalities, I put together 4 inches. 1-800 Flowers should be investigated. 1-800 Flowers would send us pathetically low price point orders. I would ask for a price increase, that's why they have the button, then spend the next hour or two, being verbally assaulted and bullied, in general preventing me from doing business with other paying customers. Even when I would cancel the order, 1-800 Flowers would send the same order through - deja vu. When I couldn't take it any longer, I rejected them. I equate their practices to water boarding. Jim McCann's business practices is America's answer to Guantanamo.

That episode, cost our shop over six hundred dollars. When the error was brought to 1-800 Flower's attention, they shuffled the problem to their sister company, BloomNet. I equate these two companies like this, 1-800 Flowers commits the crime, BloomNet is the sweeper. Our shop would not get the money back, but credit would be applied over 6 months!! Any expenses like rent, electric, payroll, product - we still had to come up with the money to pay for, big deal tell that to JCP&L. Pretty sure Jim McCann was able to pay his mortgage with the money he has manipulated away from our shop. Along comes Mother's Day of 2014, our rep then and only then called, after months of reaching out to him. Matt ** called to give us our predictions for Mother's Day. I said bring it on.

1-800 Flowers set us up to purchase flowers for their projected orders, expecting hundreds of orders, (not uncommon for that week), but then suspended us with no warning at all. Mother's Day came and went with only 14 orders! A complete violation of 1-800 Flower guidelines set into place by none other than, Jim McCann himself. Our shop lost at least $10,000. The following Monday, orders began to dribble in as if nothing had happened. But the damage had already been done, and with no remorse. When I complained, no one cared. So I wrote a letter to the Almighty delusional Oz Jim McCann himself. His office referred to me to an Alex ** from BloomNet. Remember the sweeper?

Mr. ** fought tooth and nail for us and was generally disgusted by 1-800 Flowers, embarrassed by their behavior. I received a call from Matt **, who told me he had nothing to say to me. Humm, then why call? A Jeff **, we're still waiting for his call months after the fact and a Tim **, who said he tried to call our shop, but only got our recorder. Ha ha ha, Tim, we don't have a recorder and our shop is open from 9-6 M-F and 9-5 on Saturday. Face it, dude, you lied. There were times when I was legitimately concerned for Mr. **'s welfare especially when days would go by and I didn't hear back from him. I seriously thought 1-800 Flowers snuffed him. After 4 months of getting nowhere, Mr. ** was told never to speak with us again. Wow! On so many levels, wow.

Yet, 1-800 Flowers still wanted our shop to do business with them! In fact soon after Mother's Day, I wrote a letter ceasing to do business with 1-800 Flowers, our shop is still getting billed from that company and harassed by their lawyers. So a world without florists? It's very much a reality unless something is done, now. One thing wire services don't comprehend is they need florists. They need the mom and pop brick and mortar shops. They do not exist without florists, period. We make the arrangements, not FTD, Teleflora or 1-800 Flowers. They do nothing but try to set an illusional market price to their irrational price point. They sit in a cubicle in a far away country or in some basement or some fancy high rise somewhere, processing orders and taking money, your money, lots of your money.

1-800 Flowers will promise you anything you want to hear, just so they can take your money. They will promise you outlandish pricing, dates, times, out of season flowers just so you press that submit button. Then florists are left to renegotiate a fair price so the customer isn't raped and the florist can still eat at the end of the night. Anyone including Jim McCann, who tells you different, is lying. A lot of these people can't even name the flowers they promote. When ordering flowers this holiday season or for any occasion or just because is to call your local florist directly. Actual florists do the funerals, we do the weddings, NOT 1-800 Flowers, and not the cyber telemarketer that claims to be local, when in fact they're not even located in the same state or country. That in itself should be illegal and in some states it is.

Scroll down the webpage, find the brick and mortar building. Put that florist’s phone number in your quick dial. Build a relationship, like the old days. They will help you with everything. The money then stays in America, helping local business, stay in business. You'll get more for your money and people who actually care about you, instead of some corporate CEO, who pays his employees pennies on the dollar. Can you say sweat shop?

I ordered an arrangement for a very dear friend of mine who just lost her mother. I live in NJ and she is in NC so I used this service because they state that they have same day delivery. I ordered it the night before only to be told the next day that the flowers cannot be sent on that day because the florist does not have time to time to make the arrangement but that they would gladly send it to the home of the deceased the next day; WHAT!!!!! I was so upset and the young lady on the line did not try to offer any options.

I called the funeral home and got the name of a local florist (I should have thought of this in the beginning). I called them up and they said that they would make the arrangement and get it to the service in 2 hours, WOW!! I then called 1800flowers and cancelled the order. They offered no incentive not to do this or even an apology. I will NEVER use this service again and will probably contact the BBB because this has to be false advertisement. My advice would be to call the local florist in the area you would like to send flowers. You will know exactly what you can expect with no surprises.

I ordered flowers to be delivered same day to my 9 year old daughter. My order included my phone number. Due to divorce, I do not get to see my daughter this Thanksgiving so the flowers were important to me. Late afternoon on Thanksgiving I looked online and 800 Flowers said: "Delivered." I connected with my daughter at 8:30 PM and she had not received anything. Words cannot express how disappointed I was- missing my daughter and no delivery to let her know how much I was missing her.

After hanging up with my daughter I called 800 Flowers. They called the florist and of course no answer. After much discussion, the customer service person said she would credit my account for non-delivery, deliver the next day with no charge. Today I called and of course no record of the conversation. No action towards delivering the flowers. They called the florist and the florist said they delivered to a neighbor. But there was no evidence of that. They said they called me. No one called me and I have the phone records to prove it. The gal on the phone said she was a supervisor and she would not re-deliver today unless I paid for it. No regard for all the poor service I received and no help to really solve my problem ... I just hung up on her.

A few hours later I talked to my daughter and in fact the flowers had arrived... left unattended in the lobby of the building. So... in fact the florist lied, they did not deliver to a neighbor... they did not call me. The florist should have notified me! Also, if the florist had indicated on the tracking system the flowers were "left in the lobby," I could have texted my ex to get them. The arrangement for my 9 year old daughter was not delivered to her on the promised day of delivery and 800 Flowers had no idea what had happened to the flowers and never reached out proactively to notify me in a proper way nor did their website accurately reflect "delivered." Their customer services people had no customer service skills to solve the problem and did not properly document the situation.

800flowers is having issues with their system of passport members. For $29.99 a year, there is no shipping fee. Currently, it is not recognizing that you are a member and charges you for shipping fee. I have noticed this issue since Nov 3rd and have been charged for the shipping fee in addition to my annual membership. I have been told that my account has been fixed numerous times and that shipping fee is credited to my credit card, neither one has happened. What's the worst of the whole thing is none of the customer service reps are not aware of this issue and they don't know how to deal or fix this problem for their customers and they are pointing fingers at the third party software vendor.

Well, promised a Saturday delivery, NEVER HAPPENED again. No call, email, nothing from 1800 flowers to let me know it wasn't happening! I called to be disappointed so after a couple wasted hours being stuck on hold speaking to your customer service and put on hold for a supervisor which gave another false promise PLEASE DO LISTEN TO RECORDINGS. The funny thing is while on hold about a non-delivered order I called from another phone and got right through to be able to place another order (SMH) so I guess it's all about sales, not happy customers. Oh and Saturday I REQUESTED A PHONE CALL FROM A SUPERVISOR, GUESS WHAT? NEVER HAPPENED. P.S. At 7:15 PM I received a phone call telling me it could not be delivered that day. It was too late for me to start trying to order from somewhere else. I was very angry but agreed to have it delivered the next morning when I knew someone would be home. The next afternoon I again received a phone call asking for a contact number as they had tried to deliver it and no one was home. Had they done it early morning like promised someone would have been there. Now after talking to a manager I am told that it will be delivered by 5 PM and they would just leave it on the doorstep. He told me that he was sorry I was told it would be delivered early morning as they cannot really guarantee that. After complaining they did agree to refund half of my money but that does nothing to express my sympathy to this whole family when they would have been together.

HORRIBLE and I mean HORRIBLE customer service, that doesn't deliver what they show in the pictures and 4th time already not delivering the complete order (left out 3 of the 4 items). The company charged me for a same day delivery on 10/23/2014 of multiple items - 4 items total. The company did not deliver 3 of the items at all neither that day as paid for or the next day and the one item that was delivered not only was incorrect but looked horrible. I have tried to contact the Parent company multiple times asking to speak to a manager but was told every time a manager couldn't do anymore more than the agent to help me (They wanted to deliver the missing items the next day on the 25th, two days after what I paid for and not refund me same day delivery charge). This was for a very special day and this is extremely unprofessional.

They also gave no notification or call that the order would not be completed as agreed to or that items were missing. I last spoke to Mary - employee ID ** on Oct 24th at 22:54. I kept asking for a manager but all she said was the manager was busy and they couldn't help me except to reschedule a delivery for what she already offered and there would be no compensation even though I paid for same day delivery on the 23rd of Oct. Not only is it too late as the event is over and the order was not fulfilled and this is already the 4th time with this company has done this to me and a friend of mine multiple times not. HORRIBLE AND NEVER RECOMMEND! There are several other flower delivery companies. I recommend you look at those.

1.0 star rating 10/22/2014 **SAVE THE HEADACHE..DON'T USE 1-800-FLOWERS!!** I will start off by saying, I always get my fiancee flowers, typically right after a set dies, pref roses, tulips, orchids, etc.. I deal with a local florist who does a great job. Being I had no time to stop and get flowers, I came across 1800-flowers, thrilled they could do same day (9am this morning I'm looking) and the bouquet was out of this world gorgeous, so I thought. I called and spoke to a CSR and I had stated I got burned from Flower Delivery Express and was already wary of ordering flowers online. She stated no need to worry, they deliver smiles. Sold.

Placed an order and even upgraded for 100% same day delivery. Lo and behold, I was getting wary when my fiance had not texted me saying how gorgeous they were and I started reading reviews. Now I'm nervous, I figure well maybe they all were just a mishap and I couldn't be a statistic. So my fiance sent me a pic of the flowers, she got them, they looked as if an 8-yr-old boy put them together from the scraps he found after his father tripped their bushes, it was embarrassing. I always get my fiance the best flowers because she's worth it and more. For this to show up I don't know how I'm even going to face her face to face, the embarrassment will set in as if I'm cheap (I try not to be).

So I call and speak to CSR (customer sales rep) and dished out my anger and frustration and of course as I was expecting, here is a 20$ coupon good on next order. No, I don't want a coupon cause I will not return. She threw a 50% refund on top of it, ok, guess I'll settle being she actually got the flowers, may not have been what I ordered but she got weeds on the same day guarantee. Then she stated she would call my fiancee, really?? You're going to call and apologize cause your business sucks?? No! I don't want you to call her.

So a few hours go by and the florist whom delivered it called me. She was upset at what I had said about her arrangements and that I should be ashamed of myself and if I wanted a better bouquet to spend more money! Well listen here hunny, I spent 120$!!! I should've got at least an 80$ bouquet!! She stated she got a work order for a 25$ arrangement!! LOL!!

So as furious as I am right now, I sent emails, phone calls, even a fax to 1800flowers. A rep called me back in regards to my email and offered a full refund and 100$ coupon good towards new order. I told her give me my money back and keep the coupon cause it'll go to the next customer who doesn't read the reviews. To sum this up, save yourself the headache, embarrassment, hassle, and anger, and use a local florist direct, leave out the middle man.

I was aggravated but confident that they would be delivered the next day. I called my mother and assured her that I had not forgotten her birthday.

The next day she again did not receive her flowers or card. I Am Mortified. So as I furiously dial 1-800-flowers again I decide what I want. (1) A refund. I do not have confidence in your company's ability to fulfill the order I paid for. (2) The name of the local florist who mishandled my order the first time so I could avoid them. The csr I spoke with repeatedly asked me if it would be OK if the flowers were delivered in the morning. I repeatedly replied that was unacceptable. He clearly was not listening.

The manager I spoke with antagonized me to the point of handing the phone off to my husband as I was too angry to communicate any longer. She repeatedly told me she was sending me a $20 coupon via email although I repeatedly insisted that I didn't want a coupon and wanted to be taken off the companies email address. I asked if there was any more information she needed to refund my money and she kept rambling about giving me a $20 coupon. At this point I hung up to keep myself from being mean to a stranger. The supervisor called back "to verify my information" for a refund. Which she never actually did before we hung up the second time. She was just being passive, aggressive. Then she thanked us for trusting her with our order. If you think I'm overreacting, listen to the call yourself. No - for the last time, we don't trust you with our order. No - we are not satisfied.

I paid for same day delivery and it was not deliver! Waste of money and waste of time talking to stupid representative that don't know what they are doing. Do not waste your money or time on this company.... you might as well just buy regular flowers from a deli and putting it in a 99cent vase.

Ordered arrangement for my wife to be delivered to her work. Both times paid for same day delivery. Both times they have failed to be delivered on the same day. Each order was over $100 and the arrangement itself has been a pitiful display compared to the description and size I thought I was paying for. Both times it was a day/date specific occasion and they dropped the ball both times. I will NEVER use this company again and am going to my credit card issuing company to file fraud claims on both transactions. Services were not rendered in the manner agreed upon and they have offered no remedy for their failure to provide the service.

I heard back from 1800FLOWERS after I wrote about my experiences. I was left a voice mail message by a representative that stated that she had read my post. I called back that night and another representative answered and stated that she did not see any information as to why anyone had called me. She was not able to transfer me to the representative that had left the message since she had left for the day.

The next day, Monday, I received another call from the representative that left me the voice mail. She stated that the reason that she was trying to contact me is because the angel statue was not going to be delivered on Tuesday. The earliest they could get it out was Thursday. I told her that I had the personal guarantee of a supervisor, Richmond, that it would be delivered on Tuesday. She apologized and stated in lieu of the angel statue being delivered on Tuesday that she would have the Classic Dish Garden delivered to my friend’s house on Tuesday at their expense as a one time courtesy. I didn’t really care about the “one time courtesy” detail because it made it sound like I was at fault. It was nice of them to offer to send the planter though. It seemed to me that someone was taking responsibility for others’ mistakes.

The representative stated the angel statue would be delivered on Thursday also at no charge to me. That came as a complete surprise to me. She also stated that this experience would be brought to others’ attention so something like this doesn’t happen in the future.

I have checked, and my friend did receive both the planter and angel statue. My credit card account was also credited.

I have worked in call centers and know that the representatives usually do not have the training and resources they need to do their jobs successfully. They are given a script and items to push to sell and told to get on the phone. In this case, I don’t feel the ends justified the means though. I appreciate what the last representative did to try to correct a difficult situation, but by the time she got involved, it was too late for it to be salvaged.

    Original Review: Oct. 13, 2014

My friend's sister died suddenly in a car accident. I was not able to attend the viewing or funeral service and I wanted to send a token of sympathy to the funeral home for the viewing and service so my friend and her family would know that we were thinking of them during this distressing time. I wanted to send something that my friend could keep and remind her of her loved one instead of cut flowers that would be thrown out after a short time.

I chose a statue of an angel that she could place in her garden. I tried to select it and the website stated it was not available. I chatted with a representative and was advised that it was not available because it would be shipped by UPS and they could not guarantee delivery by the funeral date. I then chose a white Orchid. I called and placed my order by phone from my landline at work. The representative that I spoke with had an accent that I was not able to understand very well and the phone line kept cutting out. I kept asking her to repeat herself. We finally got the order in and I was given a confirmation number. I thought the issue was resolved.

An hour or so later, I received a call from 1800FLOWERS stating that the local florist did not have the orchid that I wanted sent. Again, the representative had an accent that I was not able to understand clearly and the phone kept cutting out. I kept asking her to repeat herself and she kept asking me to repeat myself. I asked her what other plants were available to send. She tried to sell me a cut flower arrangement. I told her I did not want cut flowers sent. I wanted a live plant. I asked her to give me options of live plants. She stated they could send a peace lily. I told her that I did not want a peace lily.

I asked her to give me product codes so I could review them online so I could make a decision. She gave me a product code for a cactus planter. I wanted this sent to a funeral and she gave me the product code for a cactus! While I was on the phone with the representative, I was in the middle of cooking dinner for my children and they were screaming. So, I told the representative that I would call later with my selection.

Before disconnecting with the representative, I told her that I was having difficulty with the company's phone line, so asked the representative for a phone number that I could call within the United States. She gave me an 866 number. I asked her what state that phone line went to. She asked me to clarify the question. So, I asked in which of the 50 states does that phone line call to. She hesitated and stated New York.

After dinner, I checked the company's website and chatted with another representative. I explained what happened and asked Pauline, the chat representative, to help me find a plant that could be sent. She brought up the peace lily. I advised again that that was not an option. I asked if the florist had an ivy or another leafy plant that they could send instead. She offered to call the florist and ask. She came back to the chat and stated that the peace lily was the only option. I asked if she could call the local florist back and ask if they had a sympathy keepsake that I could have sent instead. She called the local florist again. She came back to the chat and stated that the florist was closed. So, I asked if someone could call the local florist the next morning and ask the florist if they had any sympathy keepsakes.

The next morning I get a call from another representative with the same accent that I was not able to understand well. The sympathy keepsake options from the florist that were given by the representative would not have been appreciated by the grieving family, so I told the representative that we would need to find an alternative. Again, the peace lily was discussed and rejected. I asked if there were any other options other than the dreaded peace lily. She let it be known that the only other option is cut flowers. So, I resigned myself to sending my friend cut flowers for her loss. I told the representative that I would need to call the company back with my selection after reviewing their website.

I called the company back using the 866 number provided by the company representative during an earlier call. I spoke with a representative with an accent that was difficult for me to understand. I told the representative of the cut flower arrangement that I had chosen. She stated it was not available. I told her that I would need to call back again after locating another arrangement. I found another selection rather quickly and called the company back again. Again I spoke with a representative with an accent that was difficult for me to understand. I gave the representative my selection.

The representative stated that the florist would have the arrangement delivered before tomorrow's viewing at the funeral home. I asked the representative about compensation that the company could provide for the trouble and stress that this has caused. The representative stated she would send a $20.00 gift certificate to my e-mail address for a future order. I asked if they could increase the size of the arrangement instead. She said no. I asked her if there was anything else she could do. She stated she would waive the $15.00 shipping fee.

On approximately 4:30 pm that Saturday night, I receive another call from another representative, again with the same hard-to-understand accent and phone problems. She stated that the florist could not fulfill the order in time. The viewing was the next day. She stated that the earliest the florist to fulfill the order was on Tuesday. I asked to speak with a supervisor. I spoke with the supervisor, Richmond. He had the same accent and the same phone problems. He confirmed that 1800FLOWERS would not be able to fulfill the order by the funeral date. He stated they could have it sent to my friends house instead. He stated he wanted to personally take the blame for all the problems and offered to call the deceased family and apologize for the company's error.

I could not believe it! My friend and her family are going through a tragic loss and this guy wants to call and apologize for flowers not making it to the funeral in time! That was totally ridiculous! I was desperate for something to be sent to my friend that I asked for the statue that I originally wanted to order sent instead of the cut flowers that I never wanted to order in the first place. Richmond stated that they would be delivered on Tuesday. He confirmed that nothing could be sent by the funeral date.

After providing him with my friend's address, he stated that the order would be received on Thursday. I could not believe this! I questioned him about that further and he stated that he would keep track of the shipping and the statue would be received on Tuesday. He gave me another order number. I asked him how much I was being charged. He stated the same as with the other order. I asked him how that could be if the statue was cheaper than the cut flowers. He stated that I was correct and there was a difference of $10 that would be adjusted back to my credit card account.

The total still did not seem right and I inquired about the $15.00 shipping charge that was waived by a previous representative on the cut flowers. He stated that he was not giving that discount to the order. I asked if there was anything else he could do to help make up for his company's mistakes. He stated that he was sending a $20.00 gift certificate to my e-mail address for a future order. I told him that it would not do me any good because I didn't plan on ordering from his company again. I asked if there was anything else he could do to make up for the nightmare the company has caused. He stated no. I asked if there was anything else that he needed to proceed with the order. He stated no.

I reflected after the call, and I remembered that I was not asked my friend's name. I called the same 866 number that was provided to me by a representative that stated went to New York. I requested to speak with a manager. This time I spoke with Janice. She had the same accent and phone problems. During every call that I had with 1800FLOWERS, the representative would need to verify that I placed the order. I appreciated their security procedures, but being asked for the recipient's name during every call was heartbreaking to me since I had to give them the deceased name. I advised Janice of this.

I also advised Janice that I was calling back to provide information that should have been handled by the previous supervisor. I provided Janice with my friends name so the statue being sent would not be delivered to a deceased person. As an afterthought, I asked Janice if the card I requested on the original order was transferred to this order. She said no. So, the order would have been received by my friend and she would have had no idea who it was from. I told Janice that I expected more from the company she worked for. I told her that the reason I originally ordered from 1800FLOWERS is because they were supposed to be professional and reliable.

I told her that I was completely disappointed in the way that this was handled. I asked her where I was calling to. She stated that they would get the order taken care of. So, she totally ignored my question. I asked her where she was. She stated that they were in the Philippines. I told her not only was her company incompetent, but the representative I asked for their call back number lied as well. I told Janice that since there were so many phone issues, during a previous call, I requested a phone number to speak with someone in the United States and was given the 866 number that I dialed. I told Janice that the representative that gave me the number said it was in New York. Janice apologized. I am still totally disappointed with 1800FLOWERS for lying to me, being unreliable, and causing so much heartache.

I ordered flowers to be sent to my wife for our anniversary. I ordered them the same day they were to be delivered to her at work. I spent almost $100 to have this done. My wife works 12 hr shifts (8am-8pm) and conveniently enough their delivery hours are from 9am-7pm. Around 3pm in the afternoon my wife calls me and asks if I know why someone would call her at work to ask her how late she was working and if she would be there in roughly an hour. SURPRISE RUINED!!! Short story, she calls me and asks if I'm sending her flowers, chocolates, or both. When I called Customer Service to merely explain this to them, they told me that it's their policy to call before delivering to Businesses. I explained to her that we had flowers delivered previously and they never called.

I also told her how my wife guessed what she was getting and they ruined the surprise. She then told me they delivered them on time and she thinks I'm incorrect and my wife was still surprised. At that point I asked to speak to a supervisor. After 35 min of arguing and being accused of not providing enough info (a dept. or DO NOT CALL note in the special instructions field), she then proceeded to admit they shouldn't have called unless they were having an issue finding her. I thought "Finally a break through with these people". But, I was wrong. She then told me again it was my fault, I should have put info in the special instructions field and their system wouldn't allow her to refund any of the order. After venting a little frustration and telling her how horrible their customer service was, she then proceeded to try to again make me understand that it was my fault for not providing more info. I wonder if she's still holding or realized I hung up...

I understand the disclaimers as to available product and some expectation of variability. But to be frank, this arrangement just SUCKED! Please don't try to contact me with a $20 coupon, I am expecting a significant refund on this item. $169.00 should have purchased a beautiful arrangement for my anniversary, not something reminiscent of a trip to the local Walmart. This was the first experience I ever had ordering flowers and I was really excited for her to get them, but was super disappointed when I saw the picture she posted of them on Facebook. I wish I would have done my research because it appears that there are no good reviews on this site. The bouquet looked completely different from the picture and was nothing but a bunch of filler flowers. It had NO roses, NO tiger lilies, and NO fall leaves accents -- the only things that made the bouquet worth getting in the first place. What a disappointment!

I have made the same mistake several times by ordering from 800Flowers. Every single time I put an order in, the arrangement looks like a 12 year old put it together. This last time topped it off. I put an order in for Fields of Europe-Romance "With gorgeous red and pink roses, lilies, Gerbera daisies and alstroemeria, this "field-gathered" bouquet in a glass vase with satin ribbon is a romantic taste of an old-world tradition". In the arrangement on the website it shows, from the side view, 4 roses (2 red and 2 pink) which would make you think there are at least 3-4 more roses on the other side of the bouquet. In the arrangement my fiance received it had a total of 4 roses. The ribbon looks like a little child tied it. There is 1 stem of alstroemerias and 1 stem of the lilies, which 1 is open and 2 others are closed. The Lilly was supposed to be pink, the arrangement has white.

This is not the first time I have had this issue. I called 800Flowers before to complain about the other arrangements. When I called today I spoke to the supervisor and asked her to check if the florist that prepared this order was the same one that prepared the last few orders and she confirmed it was. I told her they need to reconsider their contract with that florist.

May, the supervisor wanted to personally call my fiance to apologize. I told her NO WAY will I let her call, this arrangement is an embarrassment enough, damage is already done. She said they would redeliver the same flowers, I said No. She said, she'll arrange for a different florist to deliver a dozen roses. I told her the arrangement that was delivered is not worth $80 and I want a refund and a dozen of long stem red roses delivered tomorrow. This is very frustrating and very embarrassing. How can a company so big have such crappy service. 800Flowers doesn't really care and the simplest thing is for a redeliver - they aren't at a loss. The floral shop is. I will never order from them again. They think that by giving their customer a $15.00 gift card, as they have for me in the past, it will make me come back and order from them again. Fool me once, shame on me... fool me twice, Shame on you!! I've given them a fair chance 3 too many times. Game over.

He informed me that there is an internal issue causing a delay in the distribution of Saving Passes, but assured me that I will receive mine.

He also educated me on their inventory system. In short, their inventory system doesn't indicate whether certain items are actually "in stock" at one of their local florist; it only indicates whether those items are available for that area.

I used 1800flowers.com to send a get-well bouquet and balloons to my sister's apartment on Thursday, July 10th. She had undergone major surgery and was set to be released from the hospital on that day. I chose the large Coastal Garden bouquet because the smooth, spherical flower arrangement in the photograph was full, bright, and bursting with joy and the mosaic vase could be used as a beautiful candle holder after the flowers had gone. See, my sister and I live on separate coasts, so I specifically chose an arrangement to represent myself in that moment when she returned home. I can't put into words the disappointment and embarrassment I felt when I saw the photos of the jagged, leafy arrangement that greeted my sister's return home from the hospital.

Before I go further, I want to point out that I originally tried ordering the adorable "Doggie Howser M.D." basket, but, unfortunately, it was not available. The fact that their website listed Doggie Howser as unavailable and the Coastal Garden as available suggested that there is some inventory system in place to ensure customers will get what they pay for. That's why I was surprised when I received a call at work from a 1800flowers.com representative the morning after I placed my order. She informed me that the mosaic vase was unavailable and asked for approval to use a comparable replacement. I acquiesced, approving only because I needed my order to be there when my sister arrived home. Later that day, however, I would find that the lively mosaic vase, full of character, was replaced by a plain, square glass vase. And, though I recognized the 4 roses from my Coastal Garden order, the rest of the arrangement was as unrecognizable as the vase they protruded from. At least the balloons were right, I guess.

I complained via a customer service inquiry on 1800flowers.com. I received an email from a Sales and Service Specialist (SSS) apologizing for not delivering my order as requested, and offering to redeliver any product of equal or lesser value for no charge. Additionally, the email stated, "We're fully committed to our 100% Smile Guarantee, and have issued you a $20 Savings Pass, good towards your next purchase. It will arrive via email within one week." The email offered no instructions on HOW to reorder flowers, however. It just had a link to their website, which tried to charge me when I ordered another bouquet.

So I replied to the email from the SSS asking how to place a reorder. I received 2 contradicting emails from a different SSS than I had originally contacted, one telling me to call a 1-800 number for further assistance and another telling me "not hesitate to contact us at the address listed below". These 2 emails were from the same SSS, by the way. You must call us, but feel free to email us. Confusing.

Over a month after I originally placed my order, I received a voicemail from 1800flowers instructing me to call Customer Service and give a reference number (which turned out to be the wrong reference number; someone else's order) to address the issues with my order. The rep I spoke to tracked down my order said they would send the same bouquet I originally ordered (the Coastal Garden) for same-day delivery, and that the $20 Savings Pass (which I had yet to receive in my email a month later) would be emailed to me immediately, in addition to some surveys about their resolving my problem.

My sister received another bouquet, but it wasn't a Coastal Garden. The receipt I was emailed listed the bouquet as a Garden of Grandeur. So, they switched the 2nd bouquet without my approval as well. And I still haven't receive the $20 Savings Pass or the surveys. I had intended to use the $20 Savings Pass to send my Mom some flowers for her 70th birthday. At this point, I couldn't justify doing business with 1800flowers again.

At 6:45 called customer service, they called florist, couldn't reach anyone. They cancelled the order. Do not order from 1800Flowers if it is important to you that they arrive on time. Suggested situations to avoid ordering from them: Valentines Day, Mother's Day, Anniversaries, Birthdays and funerals. If the flowers need to be there, they might not based on my experience.

I ordered a large arrangement (Reflections of Love) which was supposed to have Lilies and purple roses and what was delivered was a cheap arrangement full of carnations and sad pink roses and cheap filler - all of which were bruised. This was a gift to my husband for our 14th anniversary. My husband called the florist that fulfilled the order to complain about the cheap product that was not even remotely similar to what I had ordered and their response was, "We did not have the exact product so we just used what we had". I complained to 1800 Flowers and they said they would replace the arrangement and I responded further asking them to not use the same local florist to do the replacement for obvious reasons. Apparently the arrangement "has to be replaced by the local florist as they need to pick up the nasty one they sent". We have yet to see what the new arrangement will look like but when you spend nearly $100 for an arrangement and get something that looks like a $40 arrangement (at best), you can bet we will never use, or recommend, using 1800 Flowers ever again. A true disappointment all around. Below is a picture of what I ordered from the website and what actually was delivered.

I ordered three sets of flowers to be delivered, one to a friend in Vegas and two to a girl in Illinois. The one in Vegas ended up not showing up at all, it was delivered but it never actually made it to the person who it was for... The ones that ended up making it to the girl in Illinois were falling apart and ratty looking. One of them showed up a day late so she had to drive 1 1/2 hours to her job to pick them up and then 1 1/2 home and the arrangement wasn't even the one I had ordered. I was then told they would give me a full refund and send out replacements in the form of other items since I didn't like the flowers. They said they would send cookies, strawberries, a spa basket, and meat. Ok that sounded GREAT.

I was promised delivery dates and the team was all it's going to happen... Then it didn't happen. Nothing they promised was sent out. So I had to call and CALL and CALL and eventually I was sent to a 14 year old boy working in Loss Prevention who said and I quote, 'You are to never order from this company again. You are banned. You are no long welcome on our SITE.' As if I was stealing clothing from a store!?! THEY messed up, they then messed up more, then offered to make it right by sending replacements and those didn't make it... so after all those things that are wrong they want to ban me from a site that is insane. The customer focus is terrible and rude.

I ordered flowers 4 days before they needed to be delivered and specified a morning delivery - which cannot be guaranteed - because actual delivery of the merchandise cannot be guaranteed, period. They were for a baby shower, which the delivery obviously missed. 1 pm, the customer service representative could not give me any updates. And called ME back to ask if I had received the flowers. No. no. no. The flowers are being delivered to someone else in a different state. What a ** show. Never again.

On the 11th time I was told to go to my bank and fix it with them, that they could only debit my account, not credit my account back for THEIR error. They have no method of insuring your order will be "picked up by anyone and fabricated/delivered"!! If you order, it is only "an avenue for local florist to make extra money. If they don't want the work, they don't have to take it". This was customer care's reasoning!!!!!!!!! Should be 1800 maybe.... They didn't even want to credit my card back. After contact with the company, they offered to send another set of flowers to my mother and refund part of my money. This time, they did manage to get the flowers to the correct address within the time they stated.

    Original Review: July 24, 2014

I ordered a potted plant for my mother's birthday over 3 weeks before her birthday. Two days after, still 3 weeks before the delivery date, my dad informed me they would be on vacation and to ship them there. I contacted customer service via email and gave them the new address. They confirmed, via email, that they had the new address on the delivery. So, two days before the delivery date I'm told the package shipped and I track it. It ends up in Texas, the correct state, and then I get an exception the day of delivery saying the wrong state is on the label.

I call UPS, who is really less than helpful, and they direct me to 1800flowers customer service. I contact them, via phone this time, and I'm told that in their system the old address is the address I wanted the flowers shipped to, and the new address is showing up as my parents' home address with a Texas city/state, they live in Arkansas. I explain to the CSR that they are on vacation and the flowers should be delivered in Texas. She assures me she'll contact UPS and get that corrected.

I wake up this morning and find the package is now back in Arkansas!!! So apparently whoever I talked to on the phone did NOTHING. So now I'm wondering if my mother will even get her flowers in a living condition. They already missed her birthday and now this. I am beyond upset. This is a horrible company who has NO IDEA how to run a shipping business. Last year I used Proflowers.com and I think I'll be sticking with them in the future.

1800FLOWERS contacted me about this experience and offered me a resend of the arrangement with no expense to my sender. I'm pleased to report the resend's condition was MUCH better. The rubber band around the arrangement base had pulled the plants inward a bit BUT, once I removed it I was able to 'fluff' the arrangement & not one of the plants fell out, nor was there a remote indication any of them would.

It's entirely possible this issue was an isolated incident although I will only speak for this particular situation and give 1800FLOWERS the benefit of the doubt. They were very prompt and courteous in our exchanges about my experience.

Consumers need to speak up and report unacceptable service or goods so we can help companies address issues they may not otherwise find out about. If they don't know about it, how can they fix it? Luckily for me, my experience had a happy ending. Hopefully I won't be the only one.

I was sent a sympathy plant for a death in my family. It arrived with the individual potted plants literally falling out of the arrangement. The container was much too small for the amount of plants (God forbid the plants grow at all). I had to re-pot the entire arrangement in another container of mine and thankfully I had something on hand. However it's clear whoever put this together just stuck each plant in the container not even bothering to open the root systems any. As I had just experienced the loss of a family member a week prior, this was not an experience I needed nor enjoyed. Had it been another type of 'occasion' where I was not in grief maybe it wouldn't have been a big deal. I went to use the survey link on the back of the note card and their website returned a "page not found" error. Nice. This will certainly stick in my mind and doubt I will ever send flowers/plants purchased via any online florist again.

I informed them I was standing in her driveway when the email came through that they had been delivered and I knew for a fact they weren't there. The lady went ahead and sent the order in to be delivered the next day, which is today 5/20, and still no flowers have been delivered. I have never had such poor service from a company in my entire life. I will NEVER do business with them again.

My mother-in-law passed away suddenly in Amsterdam. On 5/16 I ordered flowers on the page specifically for Amsterdam and had no choice but to chose the only available funeral arrangement. Ordered it, paid for it and delivery was set for Monday 19th May. Well guess what? Today is the 20th and no flowers!!! It was only from using the tracking of the order that I discovered late in the evening of the 16th that the order was magically canceled without warning or notification and the excuse was that the florist in Amsterdam was demanding an extra 50% of the purchase cost for the flowers! I told the agent how appalled I was at this reason, especially when I had no other options, but to choose and pay for the only arrangement available for Amsterdam.

I was offered a 20% voucher for my next purchase at which point I told them to reinstate my order and fulfill their obligations as stated on their website! They assured me they would and also cover any additional charges that the florist may need. Well unfortunately when you order by phone you aren't given a tracking number, so I have spent 3 days calling this company... and despite them taking the money from my bank account all I keep getting told is I will get a call or email when the flowers are delivered!!! My mother-in-law was laid to rest today, and aside from the grief, there is also disgust at this company for adding insult to injury at a time of such a very sensitive life event. Please do not use this company at such a fragile time when flowers are almost necessary, as I would not like anyone else to experience what I have.

My daughter and son-in-law's first anniversary was today. He was deployed to Afghanistan and ordered flowers for her for delivery today. She got a call at 1:00 p.m. afternoon saying they couldn't deliver today because they couldn't find her address. They said they would deliver tomorrow but since she is at work all day and it is going to be 100 degrees, they would be dead by the time she got home. Plus, if they can't find her today, how are they going to find her tomorrow? My daughter asked if she could call the local florist and give them directions and they said, "no". She offered to go pick up the flowers and was told, "no". Even when she explained that it was her anniversary and her husband is deployed, there was no sympathy. 1800's next option was to deliver the bouquet later in the week - and no they weren't going to deliver a fresh bouquet - but the original one that would be 4 days old!! She told them to cancel the order and she would go buy her own.

I ordered flowers last year for mother's day a week in advance, what a mess. The flowers never arrived as promised. After several calls to 1800flowers the flowers were delivered days later. They gave me a voucher for $20 for the next order. In October, it was my mom and dad's anniversary and I again ordered flowers that never arrived. Again the same story and a voucher. My wife's birthday the flowers DID arrive on time but were dead. They replaced the flowers and 2 vouchers this time. So for mother's day, I ordered flowers on the 5th to be delivered on Saturday the 10th of May. Here we go no delivery on Saturday. I call and was told the order was never transmitted. They we will refund your money and have the flowers sent free of charge on the 12th. No flowers on Monday. I called and the next representative said she will have it done on Tuesday not to worry. Today is Sunday the 18th of May and the flowers still haven't arrived. I will no longer do business with 1800flowers or any associates of theirs.

My darling daughter sent me flowers for Mother's Day. I don't want to reveal to my daughter the condition of the flowers. A dozen roses, which came firmly secured in an appropriately sized cardboard shipping container marked 1800flowers on all sides... via FedEx. I brought them into my house the minute delivered. I do not know the originating florist of the order. The leaves were mostly wilted and dropped off, thorns remaining on lower stems, and basically flowers in wilted condition with rose petals dropping off. I know how to expertly maintain cut flowers which normally last me 3+ weeks from a local store; however, the 1800flowers were a sad example of roses within 4 days. I followed instructions exactly which were ineffective due to flowers being in the "damaged" condition upon receipt. I feel sure my daughter paid a large sum and expected me to receive gorgeous flowers in excellent condition. I would not suggest this gift solution to future purchasers.

My first bad experience was with the casket spray for my young niece's funeral. Can you imagine how horrified I was to realize that we did not even have a casket spray for her? No phone call, no email, nothing! When we finally got in touch with them, they wanted to talk to my sister so that they could say how "sorry" they were. I should have learned my lesson, but it has been almost a year and my other niece was running in her first marathon. There will only be one first, so we wanted to ensure that she had a beautiful flower arrangement so that she would feel how proud we were of her.....you guessed it! No delivery, no call, nothing...but again, they are very sorry and would like to call my niece to apologize? This company should NOT be allowed to operate like this. I have NEVER placed a negative comment like this before, but this company has destroyed tragic and happy times for my family.....and those things cannot be replaced. Thank God my nieces know they are loved and do not need to rely on gifts to realize it.

After three separate complaints this company progressively offered their resolutions before finally offering a refund. So service seems to go to those who are most persistent. It seems a poor replacement for service without a hassle. I raised them a star because they did finally do the right thing. It stays low because that should have been the first response.

The flowers I ordered for Mother's Day - roses and lilies - came on time but in a couple of days the lilies, which had never opened, turned brown and the roses were already wilting. You can see their condition in the picture. Customer service responded very quickly (a plus) but explain that "the same product is not available for redelivery" and ask me "to choose a product of similar value" that they can send. Now in my book, Mother's Day flowers should be sent on Mother's Day or thereabouts, so that is not acceptable. They also offered a $20 coupon for a future purchase. I responded telling them that a delivery now of something different was not what I sought but a full refund was. They offered a partial refund (50%) and the $20 coupon. There will not be a future purchase.

    Original Review: May 16, 2014

My son ordered Mother's Day flowers for me that should've been delivered by UPS on Friday, May 9th. They didn't come, nor on Saturday. He was not notified until sometime late Saturday, by UPS saying "driver error". But they finally did come...... at 9:30 SUNDAY NIGHT.... DEAD in the box and the driver was too cowardly to ring the doorbell. My son called and said he got an email status update from UPS saying they were delivered. That is the only way we knew they were out there.

I called UPS right away and they apologized, filed a claim and asked me to put them back outside for a pickup. They sat out there for 4 days and never got picked up. I also chatted online with 1800flowers that same night. She also apologized, sent my son a $20 gift certificate to use in the future, removed the charge and promised to resend the order at no cost. It is now May 16th, a full 8 days later and still no flowers.

I called 1800flowers next and the online chat person never did anything on the order. The new representative explained that they hire extra help for the holidays, and that was the reason for the error. While that is a perfectly lame excuse for the first error of the late and dead delivery, it's also a lame excuse to any customer when you promise to make good on the replacement order. She also said she could not get them out until Tuesday. Their website says "want them delivered the same day"? I reminded her of this, and she said it would cost them more to have a local florist deliver it today but she would do it anyway at no charge. Wow....

What a horrible experience. I'm amazed they are still in business, after reading the numerous failures and seeing how many special occasions they have ruined. I will NEVER use them, and will be sure I tell everyone I know not to as well.

My husband had ordered valentines flowers and strawberries for me. Flowers arrived at work place half dead, already wilting and browning. The strawberries never arrived. He had to call them to verify what was going on with order. They attempted to redeem themselves by saying they'd resend order at 50% charge, but I insist to just refund the amount of the gift. We will not be paying for the messed up order they sent. In return they did give a $20 gift card towards "future purchases".

Next order we sent was for Mother's Day. Ordered flowers, and again, the flowers showed up half wilted dying and brown. I've dealt with OTHER flower companies before and they've done a great job providing beautiful products that arrived ALIVE and stayed in bloom, for at the very least, a WEEK before turning brown. I am very disappointed with this flower company and will not ever order again from them. The first time, I hope perhaps was a fluke. The second time, I know now, they are very negligent of their product and customers' needs. Their flowers online are shown beautifully, but when the products arrive in home as a gift, they are already dying, browning, and not smelling like how "fresh" flowers should be smelling.

Called their Customer Service, could not understand this lady. Her English was very bad. At first she apologized and said they would be replaced and we would receive an 80% off next purchase. She put me on hold to place the order. When she returned, she said she could not replace with a like item and would send 12 red roses. After discussion I realized I wasn't going anywhere with her and agreed. She put me on hold to place the order. When she returned the replacement had gone to daffodils and snapdragons in a beautiful vase and a 20% discount on a future order.

After our phone call, I again realized we just got screwed and I called them back to tell them I did not agree with what had just happened. This time it was a male with a little better English but I still had difficulty understanding. He retrieved the last conversation and after a heated discussion, I asked to speak with a supervisor. His response was he needed to attempt to please me. I told him the only pleasing would be for my wife to get what was sent to her and paid for. He agreed and hung up.

On Tuesday, a local Florist showed up with an arrangement of carnations in a cheap white basket. I am now furious. I called again, this time I refused to speak with anyone other than a manager. Some guy came on the phone, you guessed it, difficulty with English. He reviewed the phone calls I had had and in a rude tone said the roses were on the way and I should not have received the order that was just delivered. Couple of hours later, UPS delivered a box. Upon opening it the arrangement was 6 roses with snapdragons. They were smashed into the box. I will NEVER do business with this company again

I ordered flowers for my mother for Mother's Day and 1-800-Flower.com failed to make the delivery. They canceled my order because the flowers were out of stock -- no problem, it happens. But instead of contacting me via email or phone, which I assume they request in the event that something goes wrong, I had to wait to learn that the flowers were not delivered when I called my mother and asked her how she liked the flowers she apparently never received. I used the tracking number to find my order online only to learn that there was no explanation for the cancellation. FAQs provided no insight either. I will say that 1-800-Flowers contacted me fairly quickly after I submitted an inquiry only which is how I learned the flowers were out of stock.

We went back and forth a bit as I was curious as to why I was never informed of the cancellation or the reason behind it, and why I wasn't given the opportunity to change my order so that the delivery could still occur. Long story short, the email communication between the 8 representatives that emailed me back were pretty much all identical and it became clear the responses were pretty much automated and did not address my specific questions. One representative actually offered to resend the flowers the next day and then I never heard from them again the rest of the day. And when I follow up I received a response from another representative saying that the request could not be fulfilled and then they continued with the same baked language.

At first I appreciated the quick follow up but realized they must be obligated to respond to every request (even if their responses make no sense). I even told them never to contact me again and they followed up with the same old language, just a different representative. And I didn't even place the order on the actual day of Mother's Day so ideally it would have been a less busy day for orders but they still couldn't handle that. Steer clear. They suck.

I purchased 4 follow arrangements on April 27th, 2014 for Mother's Day. Two arrangements were for my boyfriend's parents in Albany New York, and the other two were for my Mother and Grandmother who live at the same address in Maryland. They were to be delivered on Friday, May 9th to all four people. I must add that I paid extra to have this done for Friday due to the overload for Mother's Day. Three arrangements arrived as promised, but the fourth did not. My mother in Maryland, the same location where the one for my grandmother was send, did not receive her arrangement.

I spoke to 1800-Flowers customer service on Saturday and they then promised to go ahead and be sure the flowers were delivered on Monday, May 12th. The flowers did not arrive, AGAIN. On the morning of May 13th, I placed a second order because my mother had not received anything yet. It was to be a same day delivering, and going on 10 pm in Maryland, she still has not received either of the arrangements. I live in Dallas, Texas due to work, and did not get to spend mother's day with my mom. My grandmother and Mother live in the same house, so they couldn't have "missed" the shipment, or just not made it there yet because one gift was delivered. I wanted her to have a nice day and receive something special from me... and she has not.

They sent me an e-mailing confirming the delivery, but could not provide a tracking number because the gift was NEVER delivered. I am wondering how many people send gifts to friends/relatives/people who mean a lot to them, and the person doesn't actually get the gift? Does 1800Flowers try to scam people on special occasions? They promised a delivery, promised they would fix it, and then have done NOTHING. With our lives becoming so fast paced, and if someone forgot to ask if a loved one received a flower arrangement, and if it was never delivered, 1800Flowers can go ahead and pocket the $75 that was spent on the arrangement.... Let's try that daily for a couple different people... let's think of that on a yearly basis... How much money do you think 1800Flowers can pretty much steal? Right now, in my situation alone, I am missing about $150 of flowers that were said to be delivered and have not. How many people have they done this too?

My father actually took the day off to be sure he was home to get the arrangements. A mother has only so many Mother's Day in her life. One time every year children work hard to put a smile on their mothers' face, and do their best to make them feel special. I am disgusted that 1800-Flowers robbed my mother of her special feeling on Mother's day of 2014. If it had been fixed as I was promised, then I would have understood mistakes do happen. Two different arrangements... phone calls, and promises... and still nothing. Beyond that, 1800 Flowers did not closely watch that the flowers were delivered on Monday, which they promised they would.

For a company that has so much advertising, and is nationwide, you would expect more. I will do my best to make sure that next year my mother has her special day. For all those out there that this has happened to as well, I hope you all found ways to make sure your moms are still given something to make sure they feel a little more special on their special days. My heart is with the people that 1800Flowers does this too... and it's the last mother's days you get to share together. A company this large should hold themselves to a better standard. Perhaps this post will make sure they understand that there is no excuse for this.

Bad experience with 1800Flowers. I order my Mother flowers for Mother's Day to be delivered on Friday 5/9/14. When I had not heard from her I called to see if she had received them. When she answered the phone she seemed annoyed and as the conversation continued my Mother said, "Oh, I receive your Flowers but when I opened the box the vase was all busted up." I told her I would take care of it, so I went and purchased some more flowers, drove to her house and hand delivered them this time. She told that she had saved the flowers that were in the box so when she showed them to me I noticed that the flowers that were sent had not even bloomed yet..... They were still closed up.....

So after a couple of days I'm thinking that was $89.00 and I want my money back so I filled out their service form, did not hear from them so I called and spent 32 min on the phone. They tried giving me $42.00 back. I said,"You got to be kidding me. I want ALL my money back NOW." I told the Guy, "Have you read the Consumers Affairs Complaints on 1800Flowers?" I could not believe what I was reading. I said I will only accept 100% of my money back or I will call AX on my end and have the charges removed. I received a "1800flowers.com Delivery Confirmation - Response Requested" email on Sunday morning asking me if I had received the order. That made me wonder if they knew where they were supposed to deliver the order! The email only provided a single clickable link to say "yes" with no links available to respond for "no" or "cancel my order". When I called customer service on Monday night, they were not what I would call top-quality professional in their service but did offer some gift certificate (I think $20) and then said we *could* deliver the flowers tomorrow for you! Thanks! By the way, when were you going to tell me that the flowers didn't get delivered?! They were supposed to be delivered on Saturday preferred/Sunday possible, but as of late Monday they were not delivered on my behalf.

When I called as of late Monday, their voice message indicates they are hard at work delivering flowers and all orders cannot be cancelled at this point. I got through to a customer service representative and was able to cancel the order. This is a horrible company that turned something that should be a good, easy experience to make a day brighter into a messy experience all-around and a frustrating memory. I would *not* recommend this company *at all* and suggest that their practices are downright fraudulent. They promised they could, they did not deliver on that promise, and they had a temporary authorization on my credit card and were ready to take the money to the bank. They did not notify me that they failed to deliver on their promise. Mother's Day flowers don't make sense the week after Mother's Day just like Xmas gifts don't make sense in June. I hope they can be investigated by the Attorney General's office because they are not cheap and I suspect there are lots of people duped by this outfit. AWFUL! Never again.

I am writing you to explain the very poor service and unnecessary time that I spent within the last week with orders that I placed for Mother's Day. I called 800flowers by telephone on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 to place 3 orders of flowers that were going to 3 different recipients at 3 different locations. After placing multiple calls and spending several hours on the phone with your customer service representatives, only 1 order made it to the recipient. Below is the date/time, time spent on phone, and a brief description of the phone calls that I had with your customer service representatives of 800flowers. I ask that after you read this, I get a full refund on these orders that I had nothing but problems with. I also ask that you retrain your customer service representatives for quality improvement and to better their customer service skills.

Tuesday, May 6, 2014 @ 6:02 PM (call time: 1 hour and 1 minute) - I called 1-800-Flowers and placed 3 orders to deliver between May 8th and May 9th

order #**, order #**, and order #**. This first call was such a bad experience with a language barrier. I actually wanted to place 2 more orders, which I did online after the phone call. I had no issues with those 2 additional orders. They were delivered on the date I specified, so the following details is regarding the 3 orders I placed over the phone.

Tuesday, May 6, 2014 @ 7:06 PM (call time: 28 minutes) - I received the email confirmation on the orders I placed and every order was wrong in one way or another (address wrong, name misspelled, delivery date wrong, message details wrong, etc.). I called to correct all the orders and was told by the 800flowers representative that I only placed 2 orders which was not the case, but I only received 2 email confirmations and the representative insisted that I did not place 3 orders. He corrected order #** which had a message error, name misspelled, and wrong address. Order #** had a wrong address, name misspelled and a delivery date of Wednesday, May 7, 2014 which was wrong and when I placed the order originally, I said Thursday, May 8, 2014. The representative told me that the order had already been processed and there was nothing he could do about it (even though everything was wrong with the order, so basically the order was going to end up not going to the recipient and I would just be out of the money and the flowers would end up going to someone I don't even know).

Tuesday, May 6, 2014 @ 7:36 PM (call time: 24 minutes)- I received the 3rd order (#**) confirmation by email (you know, the 3rd order that the 2nd representative told me that I never placed? Yes, that order). This order also had a bunch of errors in it, so I called 800flowers AGAIN to get them corrected. At that time, I was told once again that the one order that was going to deliver on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 could still not be changed for the delivery date I initially wanted; however, the address could be corrected so it goes to the right place. (Wow, that is kind of odd, considering that I was told on the 2nd phone call that nothing could be done because it already processed through). This 3rd call I placed, I finally was able to talk to someone that spoke and understood English as the first language. I am sure you can probably tell that this is why all my orders got messed up to begin with because the first call I made to place the orders, took over 1 hour due to the very awful language barrier (that would be plain to see because one of my orders was going to a business which is a "Juvenile Court", well, when I got my email confirmation, it said "Jubenile Courtang" as the business name.).

NOTE: I received a text message from one of the recipient's which is order #** and she apparently got a phone call from the flower shop trying to verify her address because the flower shop that received the order from 800flowers.com is 2 hours away from where she lives and they couldn't deliver it to her. Well, that's because the guy that took my order put in a town that was not even matching the zip code I gave him. I told him the correct address numerous times and told him that the city he is putting in is not correct and to make sure that city is not on the order because it will not go to the right place, but guess what?? Yes you guessed it, he did it anyways and now the recipient was aware of me getting her flowers for Mother's Day before they even shipped to her (which by the way, she still hasn't got them, even though I got an email confirmation saying they delivered).

Thursday, May 8, 2014 @ 3:05 PM (call time: 26 minutes): Guess what? The order that I couldn't change the delivery date because it had "already been processed" that was going to deliver on Wednesday, May 7, 2014. (order #**). Yes that one, it NEVER delivered. So, on this call, I spent time trying to figure out where the flowers were even at and I was told that it would deliver today, Thursday, May 8, 2014. Well, now, that's when I originally wanted them delivered, but remember, the order was all messed up and then I was told that it was processed and going to deliver on Wednesday, May 7th? Ok, well, it didn't deliver on the 7th, so not only did you guys mess up with getting the original delivery date, that I wanted, but you also messed up on not getting the flowers delivered on the date your company "randomly" picked for me.

Friday, May 9, 2014 @ 2:32 PM (call time: 20 minutes): Order #** never got delivered so, again, I called 800flowers. At this point, I am sure you can hopefully understand why I am frustrated and pretty much ticked off. I have spent so much unnecessary time on the phone with 800flowers representatives pretty much all week (it's not over yet) and nothing is getting delivered. I would think that with such a big business and all the money you all are making to "deliver smiles", and all the frustrations and worry that I had all week wondering if these flowers would even get delivered, I would be offered some kind of refund. No, of course not. Now I am being told this particular order had a delivery date of today, Friday, May 9th. Well, everyday for the last 3 days, that's what I was being told, but once again, 800flowers is just "randomly" picking delivery dates.

I also checked on my other 2 orders to verify if they have been delivered and the representative told me they were delivered. That at least made me feel a little bit better about the whole situation. I tried tracking these orders all week online, but for some reason, the 800flowers online tracking system can not track unless it is an online order because it didn't recognize any of my order numbers (I would suggest getting that fixed). I want to also mention, every call that I made to 800flowers to get the order corrected, I asked for an email verification so I could verify that the addresses, names, etc. were all correct, but not once did I ever get an email.

Friday, May 9, 2014 @ 7:43 PM (call time: 1 hour and 28 minutes): NONE, ABSOLUTELY NONE of my 3 orders delivered to any of the recipients. I was told earlier in the day that order #** and #** had delivered and order #** would deliver today Friday, May 9th but NONE of them delivered! This is absolutely ridiculous and uncalled for. When I spoke with this representative, I gave him my order numbers and he also pulled up my account by my name. 2 orders that I DID NOT place were ordered under my account and went to people I don't even know. The person that placed that order had a name similar to mine, but SHE had a name of Christine and my name is Chris, but we have the same last names. Somehow, her name was in my account. Not only were there orders placed that I have no idea who they were, I was also told my orders delivered, but the addresses I was given were bogus addresses and ended up somewhere other than where I wanted them, so I am sure some other individuals (I don't know) got flowers from me. This representative was really good at trying to help me and understood my major frustrations.

By this point, I am very tired at explaining every order and what is wrong with them. It is plain to see on the screen that I have had problems this whole week and nothing is even getting fixed. I explained to him that you guys messed up and you need to fix it. I still wanted the flowers delivered but at this point, I feel I should have gotten a full refund and your company should be delivering these flowers on your dime to the right addresses and the right people! The representative put me on hold multiple times (as you can tell by how long I was on the phone). It was plain to see how your company majorly messed up on my account, my name, and my orders. He was wanting to just basically start over with the orders. Of course, I wanted to be done completely with 800flowers but at the same time, it is Friday late at night and it was too late to call anywhere else to get flowers delivered in time for Mother's Day.

I also thought somewhere in my mind that you guys messed up enough lately and wasted so much of my time and money that 800flowers would hopefully be on top of this and getting it done. We were working on re doing order #** and order #** (which I now had to put a different address because the recipient was out of town). Like I said, I was placed on hold numerous times for times ranging from 5 minutes to 20 minutes, but as we were working on these 2 orders and not even to the 3rd order yet, I was on hold for about 10 minutes and then the call dropped. After being on the phone for over 1 hour, I got hung up on and here is the best part to this: I NEVER GOT A CALL BACK. Nobody cared to call me back to get this taken care of.

Friday, May 9, 2014 @ 9:13 PM (call time: 12 minutes): Since I didn't receive a phone call back, I called AGAIN and told the representative that I was hung up on, fed up with 800flowers and somebody better be fixing this. He pulled up my account and took down my information and said he would have a supervisor call me back.

Friday, May 9, 2014 @ 10:11 PM (call time: 2 hours and 25 minutes): I never got a call from the supervisor, so I called back and explained to the lady that I wanted a full refund on all my orders and your company better get flowers to the 3 recipients before Mother's Day. 2 of the addresses had changed, so I gave those addresses and verified the information of the 3rd order. She stated that she would give me a full refund, but at the same time, she cancelled the 3 orders (to start over and fresh), but she still wanted to charge me for the new orders even though she said I was going to get a refund. Order #** had an address change. She typed in the address and said flowers couldn't be delivered til next Friday. Considering that 800flowers messed up on all these orders to begin with, now the order wouldn't deliver until next Friday! I was also told that all the flowers I initially ordered on the 6th, they were out of, so now, I was supposed to find different flowers. I ended up only going with the 2 orders (order #** and #**) and cancelled the order that couldn't deliver until next Friday. These two orders were supposed to be delivered on Saturday, May 10, 2014.

Well, here we are, Sunday, May 11, 2014 @ 6:00 PM and only one of those orders (Order #**) delivered. Of course, it was supposed to deliver on Friday, May 9th at a business location, but I had to change the address to a different location. According to a 800flowers rep that I called on May 10th at 11:25 AM, he told me that order #** delivered successfully. I even got an email saying it delivered; however, the recipient never received them.

So basically, I had 3 orders on May 6th that should've been delivered by Mother's Day. About 9 phone calls later, roughly 7 hours of talk and hold time, a lot of ridiculous customer service skills, multiple language barriers, wrong addresses, misspelled names, and all the other unnecessary crap I had to explain and deal with, 1 of those orders actually delivered and I never got a refund. If anything, more charges were added to my bank account. Below is the dates and charges that are on my account. (Obviously, this doesn't add up and there are more charges then there should be): 05-07-14: $67.99...... 05-07-14: $64.98...... 05-07-14: $64.99....... 05-08-14: $133.97...... 05-09-14: $77.98..... 05-09-14: $74.98

I would hope that this complaint gets to the right hands and it should be dealt with accordingly. I will NEVER go through 800flowers again, and I will make sure this letter goes to every review site and every social media site possible to keep people from using this ridiculous company. It is plain to see with the information that I provided, your company obviously doesn't care much about its customers. I believe that I gave your company way to many chances and opportunities to make things better, but it never happened and only made me dislike 800flowers even more. If you look at my account history, you will see, I have used your services for quite some time in the past, but I can see it doesn't really matter much to your company. I will make sure I forward this to all my friends and family and that they forward it along as well.

I placed an order for flowers to be delivered to my mother and grandmother the day after Mother's Day, 5/12, and my experience with this company has been horrifying. The flowers were to be delivered to my mother's business for both her and my grandmother but only my mother received her flowers. I called the customer service number and the rep reached out to the florist and I was advised my grandmother's flowers were forgotten. Not to mention when originally placing the order I continued to get error messages when attempting to submit my order, and was told by customer service just to "keep trying". One of the reps even yawned while telling me "everything was all good." Very unprofessional, especially for flowers that cost a ridiculous amount. Never got a email confirmation of order until today, in which the order was placed two days ago.

Please do not order from this company. There are many other gift options that you can do yourself versus wasting your time with a low life company that obviously doesn't care about its customers. I attempted to reach out to corporate, but they obviously don't want the complaints because their corporate number is listed as the same regular customer service number. Waste of money and time.

My son sent me flowers for this Mother's Day, 2 dozen roses in a box. In less than 24 hours they started wilting and 8 of them already dead. They smelled nice but as soon as I saw them, (I have worked in a florist) I could tell they were old. Very disappointed. I need to tell my son (which makes me feel bad) not to order from 1-800 flowers again.

They said they had experienced a high volume of calls for Mother's Day and assured me they would be delivered on Sunday. I called later in the day, still assured me they would be delivered. Monday after Mother's Day still no flowers. If they could not fill my order they should have told me. I would have made other arrangements. I finally called again after Mother's day and they offered me a $20.00 gift certificate. I will never use them again. Why would I want a $ 20.00 gift certificate? I put a stop payment on my Credit Card. I can't tell you how angry I am. There is just no excuse for not filling my order.

Redelivery and $20 gift certificate don't make up for a Mother's Day gift not being received. This used to be an excellent company. I don't think so much anymore. He ordered her sunflowers because they are her favorite. In the picture online, there are a large bouquet of sunflowers. About 12 that you can count in the picture. For 65 DOLLARS!!!!! My little girls live in a different city than I do with her mother. Her 16th birthday was coming up and I knew I wouldn't have a chance to be with her on this special day. She loves flowers and anything girly so I figured a nice order of flowers should fit the bill nicely. 800 flowers. Website states they can do same day delivery. I went on the website found what I thought would be the perfect gift for my little girl for her and I place an order by noon the day before her birthday. I wanted the flowers to be sure they got there on time. The big day comes I text my little girl (our am ritual getting ready for school doesn't leave us much talk time) :). I don't mention her b-day in the text. I want the flowers to be a total surprise. The day passes and I never hear from her about what she thought of the flowers???? I contact her mother only to learn she didn't receive anything.

Upon contacting 1 800 flowers I was told that they couldn't find a florist. My delivery wouldn't be made that day and they could do it the day after. I asked why hadn't I been notified of this so I could've changed the order or done something else. Then I received the pack answer. I say this because when they failed to deliver again on the second day or the third for that matter. I was told the same thing...

The following is what I was told: "Sir we are sorry we messed up this order ruining your daughter's special occasion. We will refund your purchase price. Then we at 1800 flowers would like to send out your original order on us here at 1800 flowers. We will call your daughter and explain to her that the non- delivery was our fault and that you hadn't forgotten her and had tried to ensure that she would have something from you on her special day. We will also mail you a $20. Gift voucher to be used here at 1800 flowers for the next time you allow us to deliver a smile for you."

Then I was asked if this would be satisfactory to which I replied it would. I was then told I'd receive a email to rate the operators handling of my concerns and that he hoped I could reply favorably on his behalf. Well the email never came then again neither did the phone call explaining the situation to my little girl or the flowers. I can understand certain arrangements may not be able to be filled by some local florist. I can't except they couldn't contact me and notify me of this. I was told the same thing in conversation with at least three of the shift supervisors and a half dozen customer care operators during the many phone calls I placed in hopes of addressing this issue

A year ago my husband placed an order for me for Mother's Day. The flowers never arrived, nor did we get much satisfaction. We decided to give the company another try today. We ordered $100 total worth of flowers for our daughter. This was intentionally ordered on Friday (for Saturday delivery, as we knew Sunday would be busy). We were told delivery would be between 12-7 pm on Saturday. Around 6:40 pm I checked with my daughter and no flowers. We started contacting 1800 Flowers. We were told and received a confirmation email that the flowers were delivered. After multiple checks with my daughter, no flowers. Saturday night we again called the customer service number which has been conveniently outsourced to another country. We were promised a return call Saturday night. Nope. Nothing. Meanwhile my daughter, single mother to a 2 year old was "giftless".

Sunday am we called again and were promised a return call. An hour later, I called back and the agent, although polite only offered a return call. I insisted on holding for over 20 mins for a supervisor. The supervisor did finally come on and was a little more helpful. She called the florist who admitted that the confirmation email was a mistake and then went on to say that the driver said no one lived at that apartment. Still no resolution. Still a "giftless" daughter and a frustrated mother on her own holiday (as well as a very angry father). After almost a hour on discussion and numerous threats about bad publicity we were finally told we would get a full refund, and that the flowers would be there Monday morning (tomorrow) and a $20 gift certificate. We will see if this occurs. 1 800 Flowers, you suck on so many levels! AND this is the second occurrence! Buyer beware! As my husband said, this companies sole function is to deliver flowers and they do a piss poor job of it! Never, ever again!!!!

On Friday, May 9, 2014 I placed an order online for the Colorburst of Spring arrangement to be delivered on Sunday, May 11 for Mother's Day. Saturday evening I received an email stating the arrangement could not be delivered due to inaccurate/missing recipient information. The recipient information in the email from 1800Flowers was correct. I immediately called the 800 number listed and after a long hold was finally connected to a customer service rep. I confirmed with the representative that the information on file was accurate. The rep told me there was nothing she could do in the evening because the local florist was closed. She said I would have to call back on Sunday but she would leave information for the new representative about the call. So on Sunday morning I called back.

The new representative did not have any notes from my call the night before. I reconfirmed everything again and the rep placed me on hold for a long time. When she came back on the line she stated that because it was a quote rest day nothing could be done and they would just have to try to deliver the order Monday. I had already paid a surcharge for Sunday delivery and the order information was correct all along. I asked the rep for a minimum of a refund for the Mother's Day surcharge. She said she couldn't do that. At that time I got off the phone with the unhelpful rep with limited English skills and began drafting a response on the company's website form. During my draft my mother called to thank me for the flowers. She sent a photo of an arrangement that was absolutely nothing like the arrangement I purchased. The delivered flowers included a single rose, four daffodils, several carnations and filler flowers in a pink vase. I ordered an arrangement of pastel roses, tulips, lilies and a mini hydrangea inside a modern glass cylinder vase.

I amended my letter to the company. Their response was to offer a partial refund only as some flowers had been delivered. This is completely unacceptable and they have been advised of this. I would never order such a cheap arrangement nor spend the kind of money I did on it. This is a wholly unprofessional organization with no commitment to quality or customer satisfaction. I will never order from them again. Other options exist - I'd advise anyone to go through a competitor.

On May 10, 2014, their website advertised same day delivery, if ordered placed before 1pm CST, for Mother's Day. As a result, I placed an order at 11:30am CST. I paid a pricey delivery fee, which might be justified due to it being Mother's Day. However, I expected exceptional service from 1-800-Flowers and their florist who would prepare and deliver the arrangement to my Mother. Instead what I received was an e-mail about 7pm CST on May 10, 2014 advising me the order to my Mother could not be delivered due to missing recipient information.

As soon as I received the email, I tried calling 1800 Flowers but I was on an endless hold so I decided to call first thing Sunday morning (830am). Prior to calling, I checked their website and it indicated a delivery was attempted at 7:28pm on 5/10/14, which seems odd considering I received an email at 7pm advising me that the delivery could not be attempted due to missing recipient information. Interestingly, why in the world did I receive an email at 7pm advising me the attempted delivery could not be made. However, the delivery still has not occurred and today is Mother's Day and I have to show for it? Believe me, I had several different options to choose when selecting who to purchase flowers from.

In my conversation with a customer service representative of 1800 Flowers this morning, it was evident she was providing in the Philippines or some other country that 1800 Flowers farms their customer service calls too so it obviously didn't help when she was trying to explain the current status because my understanding of her language dialect was difficult but it was even more upsetting that the response she gave me after she put me on hold for 7 minutes was due to the high call volume and orders she wasn't able to make contact with the florist who had yet to attempt to deliver the flowers. I explained the response she has given me is nothing more than what I read or understand on their website and I requested to speak with a manager. I was placed on hold another 10-12 minutes when the customer service representative came back and advised me that her manager told her to say she was busy with another issue and couldn't take my call but she would be willing to provide 50% off the order (suddenly the call disconnected).

I called back immediately and spoke with another person. I explained what had transpired including the last 30 minutes with the prior customer representative and after she was given my order number guess what she asked? "John, hi how are you doing today?" It is quite evident 1800 Flowers doesn't care about standing behind their promise of guarantee to deliver on the same day or to provide exceptional customer service. In my opinion, this is a form of false advertisement.

Back to the experience... The new customer service representative stated she would not place me on hold due to the prior several long hold periods but then placed me on hold so she could look at my account order status and then came back two minutes later and said they had a software issue and were unable to access my account but would callback in 15-30 minutes. That was 30 minutes ago and it is now 9:35am CST on 5/11/14.

The agent ran my debit card & said it did not take so she ran it the second time. Once I got off the phone, I checked my account & I had been charged for both transactions! I called back immediately, then made a claim with my bank for one of the charges. I was frustrated, but that evening my mom told me they weren't delivered. I called this company again (for the 7th time in a day), & after the agent from some other country kept interrupting me she finally agreed to a full refund, but no flowers?

I once again went off on the agent that my service has been terrible, that now I have to wait for both charges to be refunded & I get no flowers? She agreed to a refund & to deliver the flowers. FINALLY, today, after 8 calls, the flowers were delivered. Still waiting on both pending charges to come back into my account 24-48 hours. My experience with this company was a complete disaster from charging my card twice, to not making the scheduled delivery. I will NEVER go through this company again. What a great experience ordering my first flowers for someone. I will never order flowers again because of my experience with 1.800-FLOWERS.

It is hard enough to get flowers delivered to Hawaii but by chance I found 2 arrangements that could be delivered to my mom and sister (same household). I ordered and paid and a few hours later, I get a call from phone number +2401114 (1800flowers) telling me that they could not deliver with standard service and would have to use UPS or FEDEX... And then the call drops. This number called back 3 or 4 times and since I could not call the number back, I used their customer service number online and spoke to a rep about the phone call I received.

She put me on hold for 15 minutes before transferring my call (she did not come back on the line once to explain what was going on). Next thing, I'm transferred to another person who knows nothing about the situation so I have to explain again. He gives me the option of using Fedex or UPS and mid conversation tells me never mind that option is not available for Hawaii and we have to cancel the order. What I'm annoyed about is it's going to take 5-10 days to get my money back. The company that I work for can void a transaction that occurs the same day and my transaction only happened a few hours ago. If they can't deliver to specific destinations, then don't put it on the website at all. It would save people a lot of time and frustration.

First rep would not let me talk to a supervisor and would not cancel the order. Called back and second rep had me on hold for 30 minutes filling out paperwork and then put me on hold for 30 more minutes because she could not complete the cancellation without supervisor approval! After another 30 minutes, the call was disconnected.

Called back 2 more times and each time I was put on hold for 20 minutes or more. Tried calling several more times and this time no one would answer the phone. Sent 3 emails and got no reply. I have called my credit card company but have to wait until the charge hits. Have a feeling the flower company will still try to deliver the flowers. Having my Mom refuse delivery!! He was very clear about informing the representative to have them delivered between business hour 9-5. At 7:15 the driver calls me and says, “Hello ma'am, I have your order for flowers. Are you still at work.” Absolutely not! First of all it ruined the surprise, second of all it’s ridiculous that I (the recipient) have to call and find out where my order is because it was not received the next morning. I have called this place 3 times with no resolution other than it’s on its way! I am livid and they have messed up this entire experience for my significant other and I.

Oh btw, I still do not have my arrangement. For a company that promises same day service this is completely ridiculous. My significant other has spent unnecessary money with a company that is so not worth it! I am completely dissatisfied with this company. There should be some recourse of action to retain customer satisfaction.

I switched to the Free Large Ginger Vase. Shipping was free on certain dates, and I picked a date. At checkout I saw standard Delivery was $12.99, care and handling $2.99, tax $2.52. The $19.99 Mother's Day 100 Blooms turned into a price of $38.49 false advertising. I went through with the order. I wasted enough time filling out the forms. I would never order flowers from this garbage company again. The negative reviews on the Internet about this company are unbelievable. I cannot believe they are still in business. She had not, when I contacted 1800Flowers, their answer was ready for this.. We couldn't find her... As you can imagine I was furious... Fast forward to this past week... My Aunt Pauline passed away and I wanted to send something. Since she is in Canada I found I was limited in my options. 1800Flowers has a Canada version. I placed the order, everything went through fine. On the day of the funeral they contacted me to say THEY COULDN'T FIND ANY FLORISTS THAT WOULD DELIVER!! SERIOUSLY???

I asked why they hadn't emailed me since all other previous communication had been via email - they couldn't give me an answer. I couldn't get an answer to why they couldn't make the delivery apart from that the florist they had given the order to didn't cover that area. I asked why they didn't give the order to another florist, couldn't get an answer to that either. I asked to talk to a supervisor - I wasn't transferred. If I hadn't called the family then I would never have known that the delivery hadn't taken place. It feels like a scam.

This is her first birthday at a new job and I assumed no one would know or acknowledge her birthday unless they "found out". When 3:30 came and went and there was no call or text from my daughter I called 1800flowers and advised she would be leaving the office around 4:30 therefore they needed to get over there pronto. I was assured they were out for delivery and all business deliveries are done by 5 anyway. My daughter didn't actually leave until after 5. When I saw her for dinner later I asked about a delivery, of course there was none.

I received an email at 6:45 pm advising "your gift has been delivered", problem is my daughter still has no flowers. I called customer service (which by the way is clearly exported overseas) and was told their floral partner confirmed delivery. I demanded a full refund and was told I would receive that and a 20 dollar coupon for my next order. Next order??? Who would be so foolish?! We'll see if I receive a refund. I am the president of a company that employs 50 people with hundreds of clients and many occasions to send flowers. No one will use 1800flowers again. My regret is that I didn't check Consumer Affairs first.

I just received a call from 1800-Flowers, where I received an apology, a full refund, and they are sending my wife another dozen purple roses, free of charge. They are also not using the original delivery service who humiliated my wife. I appreciate their effort in trying to make things right.

I will raise my rating to a 3 at this point, but can go no higher at this time due to the original situation.

Should I order again through them, I will definitely write another review to give another account of the experience...positive or negative.

    Original Review: April 23, 2014

I had ordered one dozen Purple Roses for my wife's last week at work before maternity leave, purple roses being her favorite. When they arrived, she was very excited to receive them, took pictures of them, and posted them online. When I viewed them, they were pink. Being unhappy that my wife didn't receive her favorite flower, I contacted customer service.

Customer service apologized for the issue, and stated that another dozen of PURPLE roses will be delivered at no additional charge. (I think - GREAT!) I arranged that the new delivery be on Friday, her last day. Within 2 hours of receiving that email, a gentleman called stating that the delivery company needed to come get the original delivery back. (One may think they wanted them back to resell, but that is purely speculation.) I informed them that my wife only works until 5 and they'll have to do that the next day. CS agrees that that is ok. At this point, I re-arranged for the Friday delivery to be sent out on Tuesday before 5, so that she may have flowers at her desk all week.

On Tuesday morning, the original deliverers came out to collect the original bouquet. They proceeded to humiliate and embarrass my wife, making her seem ungrateful for receiving flowers in the first place, in front of her receptionist and other co-workers. They even went so far as to say...and I quote "I'll just go out to my van and spray paint them." He then stated upon receiving the roses back, to the receptionist, "Hey, would YOU like some flowers?" By the way, he had no replacement bouquet with him.

Getting even more infuriated with this "company", I contact CS again. They state that the replacement bouquet will be delivered later on 4/22/14 (TUESDAY). It was not. But as generous as they are, they have offered $20 toward future purchases. Again I contacted CS, this time to cancel the order all together. I requested a full refund, since my wife now had 0 flowers and a horrible experience. Their response was they would credit $40.09 back to my card (which is equal to 50%). At this point, I refuse to ever do business again with this company, and I am ashamed that I've used them dozens of times in the past.

We shall see if I ever get the full refund. Doubt it, but I can always cancel payment on my credit card.

Things started off so nice... I went to 1800flowers.com to pick out a nice arrangement to send to my Mom's work to celebrate her last day at her job before retirement. I decided to go with one of their biggest bouquets of mixed flowers, mostly roses and stargazers. I also decided to splurge and have it delivered in a really nice-looking Waterford crystal vase. My Mom got the flowers, even though they were delivered much later than I'd hoped. I asked her to send me a picture of them, just to make sure that the flowers she got were the ones that I had ordered and paid for. While the flower arrangement itself looked similar enough to what was advertised, the vase was definitely not Waterford. Not even close. It was just a plain, generic glass vase that you get as part of most any delivery.

I contacted 1800flowers customer support via email and told them that they had delivered the wrong vase. To their credit, I got a very prompt response, and they even offered to re-deliver this order, with both the correct vase and a new bouquet of flowers. I was pleasantly surprised. The re-delivery date was April 15th... which came and went without any delivery. I called 1800flowers customer service that night to ask what had happened. The CSR that I spoke with could not tell why the delivery had not occurred. Since the local florist assigned to this order had already closed, she told me that they would call me back on April 16th at 10:00am so that we could get this resolved.

I had not heard back from them by 10:30am on the 16th, so I called customer service again. Once again, I got a very nice CSR. She offered me a 50% refund on my order, as well as a $20 gift card for future purchases. She briefly put me on hold and called the local florist assigned to this order to see what the holdup was. When she came back from that call, she was pleased to tell me that the florist was actually getting ready to put that order in a van and send it out to my Mom's house. I was told that there was no issue with them getting there within a couple of hours.

A couple of hours later, my Mom received a call from the local florist. He told her that they were not planning on coming out at all anytime soon. He said that they did not have any of the Waterford vases, and it would be at least a week or week and a half until they did have some. In fact, he also told her that when they fulfilled her order last week, they didn't have any of the Waterford vases then either... so they "put a few extra flowers in the bouquet to help compensate".

I then, once again, called 1800flowers customer service and immediately asked for a supervisor. The supervisor I spoke with confirmed that the local florist was out of the Waterford vases. He also said that the local florists can substitute items in an order if it is agreed to by either 1800flowers or by the customer (me!). I can assure you that I never agreed them substituting the vase. And even if I had, I would not have agreed to them just putting in a couple extra flowers to make up the difference. This was supposed to be a WATERFORD vase! You'd have to include a couple of extra bouquets to make up the difference.

The supervisor quickly offered me a full refund and apologies to both me and my Mother. I will give 1800flowers an A for customer service friendliness and response time, but an F - for execution. I'm still trying to figure out what happened here. Was this a simple matter of miscommunication between 1800flowers and the local florist? Was the local florist just incompetent? Or, was this a case of attempted fraud... substituting a really cheap vase for the nice, expensive one (hoping that the recipient didn't notice) and pocketing the difference? I really don't know. All I can say is that, without any doubt, I will never, ever buy anything from 1800flowers ever again.

When I called back later to order I talked to Katie she told me the shipping was $24.98 since they don't deliver to the zip code to which I needed delivery during the week. He didn't offer to change the price so I cancelled my order. I then asked to speak to a supervisor and he said the supervisors were not taking calls.

I then called back and asked to talk to customer service and asked for a supervisor and was transferred to Andrea. After I explained to Andrea I spent over 12 min. on the phone with Joey trying to get this straightened out and they didn't want to honor the price they originally quoted me. I got a coupon with 800 flowers from Amazon Local, so I purchased it. I ordered a large bottle of flowers for my girlfriend over 1 week before Valentine's day. Of course I was expecting a big happy surprise on my girlfriend's face on Feb 14, but the delivery service completely ruined our days around Feb 14. I opted to delivery on Feb 13 or 14 to my girlfriend's office, but they delivered on Feb 12, on 6 PM while everybody went home. I called to 800-flowers.com and was told because of bad weather, they decided to deliver earlier. That's fine, I understood and change the delivery address to her home address, and let my gf wait at home. The delivery woman called her on Feb 13 and promised it would be delivered that day. No luck. On Feb 14, she called again and criticized my gf why we didn't tell her we have changed delivery service, while we did 2 days ago.

Another day of just waiting without delivery, full of frustration. The same thing happened on Feb 15, another call promised that would be delivered on 15 - still no. It finally came to my gf's address on Feb 17, which completely doesn't make sense because it's been 3 days away from Valentine's day. They don't delivered the correct size of flowers. I ordered large, but it is only about medium size, with less flowers than pictures on 800-flower's website. I sent private messages to 800flowers on Facebook and they promised to refund me 50% of the price I paid. I got the money.

But that doesn't mean anything actually, simply speaking, they just made both my gf and me wait for three days full of frustration and disappointment, and they charged me $32 dollars. I was considering to file a complaint on BBB and on 800flowers page on BBB, I was surprised:
    1. it is still rated as A+

    2. 618 complaints closed with BBB in last 3 years | 234 closed in last 12 months

Well, if you truly love someone, order flowers anywhere else; if you hate someone, just use 800flowers.

Not only did 1800flowers deliver the flowers to my mother a day late, but the flowers were dead upon delivery. The order was supposed to be delivered Feb 13th and were not delivered until Feb 14th and after the business was closed. My mother had to drive back to her office on the 14th to get the flowers as she was worried they would die before she went back to work on Monday. The flowers were in a box and didn't have the plastic water device on the stems. They were dead.

We tried calling 1800flowers and couldn't get through. We tried email with no response. I just called today and did get through to customer service and was told they had no record of my order even after I gave them the order number straight from their confirmation. No record of the order but they charged my credit card. I will be disputing the charge when the banks open tomorrow. Never again will I use this company.

I had ordered flowers for my mom-in-law from my son for Valentine's Day. My son wanted to ensure Grandma received some pretty flowers on that special day. I had ordered them Valentine's Day morning, with the commitment on their own website, that any order by noon would be sent same day. Great offer and I took them up on it with confidence. Figured it would make grandma feel special as opposed to picking them up and delivering them myself. That extra service was worth the $15 in service and 70% markup to really make her feel special.

Disappointing reality: The website still says "in transit". After several calls with promised wait times over 20m, I decided to email them Saturday morning. I just heard from them today, three days later. with a less then weak offer. My ask? I want a full refund and some reason to consider them in the future for flower delivery, since they missed delivery on the biggest day of the year. Their offer? They want to redeliver "with no additional cost" (really? no additional cost 1800flowers? That was a very silly reply) and give me $20. I find the customer service completely out of touch about the Valentine's day holiday and what it means getting flowers that you ordered for valentines day on valentines day, not a half a week later....

Valentine's day is past. What was supposed to be a special gift, left grandma without flowers. $20 does not cover it. I am unsure what the thought process behind such an insensitive offer was. The offer just makes me more angry. 1800flowers seems like they forgot what is special about Valentine's day, and now have placed a monetary figure on the cost of missing that special day. They think it is worth $20 bucks. I have emailed them back stating I want a refund and to keep their $20.

They used to be an excellent company with excellent customer service. If I had shares, I would sell them tomorrow. You have to know your customer and keep your commits. When you can't you cover all costs yourself with some additional compensation. Not offer petty excuses and $20 bucks. I am a very disappointed customer. I expected better. Caveat emptor folks.

I contacted UPS the next day (2/15/14), they told me that the flowers I ordered were not scheduled to be delivered until 2/17/14. I tried contacted the 800 # for the company. It was a generic message and then hangs up on you. If you look on their Facebook page, you can see that there are hundreds of complaints and they have a 87% 1 star rating.

This company needs to be put on not only the local news channels but also national news for scamming and lying to people spending good money on very poor service, products, and fake images of what the item actually looks like. I have also put in a complaint to the BBB along with a lot of other people. I think this would make a great story because you would be saving people of being disappointed when the flowers they order are late, wilted, and not what they pay for. I will attach just one website that you can read for yourself of hundreds of complaints. Something has to be done about this company. I would like to be contacted by email if this will be aired. I understand that the weather had a factor to play in the delivery outcome - which never happened. However the absolute lack of credibility your company has - "flowers attempted delivery" to a business after business hours, "business wasn't marked on the form", when I have an email that shows it marked, "flowers on truck en route next day" they never showed up, "flowers will be delivered by 5:00pm the day after that" again they never showed up, "inability to use the tracking function on the website", it was consistently down, "we will attempt to contact you at the number you provided", no contact was ever made unless initiated by myself. Really, the list of either outright lies, or deceptive business tactics your company uses was tiresome.

I would like a complete refund to my credit card. I do not want a credit with your company as I do not believe your company will provide either good service or good flowers. I will contact my credit card company to refute the bill if it shows up on my statement. The only compliment I can give your company goes to your customer service - when I finally was able to get through after two days of being told no calls would be accepted. Your customer service operator was very friendly and apologetic - it's a shame you leave the hard work of dealing with irate customers to people who have no ability to solve the problem, but still strive to be polite. Shame on your company for screwing with the consumers and your employees.

Ordered a fruit basket to be delivered to a local business. Received an email from 1800Flowers stating the business was closed which was not true as they are open to 7 pm Monday thru Friday. I responded to the email on the 11th of February and received an email they would investigate. I never heard back from 1800Flowers. I attempted to call on the 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th. I was hung up on after a message was played saying "all agents are busy and good bye." Unfortunately on Wednesday, this was after more than one hour being on hold and listening to their messages repeated. This continued. Well I decided to see if I selected "I wanted to place an order" how fast would the phone be answered. Interesting as I was on hold for less than a minute.

When the Agent answered I explained the situation. As much as he tried to assist, he would not call the Florist they dispatched the order to nor would they give me the Florist's name and telephone number. He supposedly issued a credit for the order. 1800Flowers was good for sending online surveys and one email offering me a discount on future orders but not once did they respond to my online inquiries and I had to follow up with the recipient if they ever received the order. What an embarrassing situation. Especially since the business I was sending the fruit basket to was because of great customer service. I will never use them again.

1800 Flowers has been absolutely nothing but terrible. I had ordered over $100 worth of flowers (very pricey) only for them not to be delivered up to this point. They were supposed to be on delivered on February 13th, 2014, but it is now February 15th, 2014, and still no flowers. I have not been able to reach customer service about this matter. I have been on hold all throughout the day, totaling over 3 hours of hold time only to give up and try again later. And as you would expect, my girlfriend was distraught yesterday (Valentine's day) thinking I forgot her flowers.

This ordeal was after making 3 attempts in customer service calls to do a simple change of address. She was not at work the day they were supposed to be delivered (where I had originally shipped them), so I needed to change the address to her home. I did this 2 days before the flowers were supposed to be delivered. More than enough time. First call was a rep who did not speak English or whose accent who was so thick I could not understand. This call eventually dropped from a crappy connection on their end. The second call, the rep could not open my case for one reason or another. The third call, the rep was still unable to take care of me, so I asked for a supervisor, who was able to finally process my request.

Who does 1800 Flowers think they are? Overcharging for flowers, causing huge amounts of hassle and ultimately, not even delivering, causing heartbreak. I would love to talk to somebody from 1800 Flowers about this issue, but I am unable to due to their insane call wait times and non-response to emails. I will never recommend this 1800 Flowers to anybody. I will go out of my way to suggest other services and to tell people not to use them. If they would like to contact me, my email address is: **.

Of course they did not deliver, and they lied about the delivery. I work in a hospital and the hospital security called me on 2/15 around 4 PM saying that they dropped off the flowers in the hallway (a main hallway) at 3.30 that day, which of course poses a huge safety concern. So security called me on my personal phone to let me know that they picked up the flowers and put them in my office (which is normally locked). My security gave me better customer service than 1-800 flowers.

After being on hold for 45 minutes the person told me they had a signature confirmation for 5.06 on valentines day and I said "well that is a straight out lie." They processed a refund for the entire amount, and then asked me to complete a survey on their Cust Serv... The girl said "keep in mind the survey is on my cust serv, not the company's." I wanted to laugh and felt bad for the girl. I wouldn't be surprised to see a class action suit come out of this. We did file a complaint with the BBB.

I ordered a Valentine's Day arrangement from 1800Flowers February 6th, in plenty of time for guaranteed delivery on Feb 14th, Valentine's Day. I even ordered the arrangement that was for local Florist Delivery for extra wow factor, delivered to her work, instead of her receiving a box of flowers for her to assemble. I even received the order confirmation right after placing the order, so thought all would be good.

Well, on Valentine's Day, my wife arrived home from work, and much to my surprise she had not received the arrangement I had ordered from 1800Flowers. I then tried calling 1800Flowers customer service several times to see what was going on with the order. Both times there was an message stating that 1800flowers is so busy that it cannot provide any updates, and to check the web. On one call, it said I was being transferred to someone, however the line just disconnected. There were no updates beyond my order confirmation of the order being placed Feb 6th.

I then filled out an online customer service query at 6:30pm on Valentine's Day. At 7:37pm I then receive an email with order update stating that the order is being created by a hand-picked florist. 7:37pm on Valentine's Day. 7:37pm on Valentine's Day????? I then received another email stating that a delivery attempt was made at 7:45pm, but could not be delivered. 7:45pm delivery on Valentine's Day to a business??? The email also said they would contact me at the phone number provided, however, I have yet to receive a call, and it is Saturday Feb 15th. I have no belief that there was actually a delivery attempt made. This order was clearly lost, as there were no updates until after I sent in a customer service inquiry at 6:30pm on Valentine's Day.

I tried calling 1800Flowers customer service Saturday Feb 15th, and as of now, have been on hold for one hour and 45 minutes, with no one picking up, and a message stating that all representatives are busy. Anyway, although is probably obvious at this point, this is the absolute worst Valentine's Day experience I or my wife have ever had, and cannot believe 1800Flowers did not deliver these flowers. Did I mentions I placed my order on Feb 6th? I am in Florida, so there were no snow or ice storms keeping a local florist from making an arrangement and delivering. It wasn't even raining, and the temperature was not even close to freezing.

I have ordered from 1800Flowers in the past, and the fact that 1800FLOWERS has the word Flowers in the name, thought they would deliver and I would have nothing to worry about. However, after this experience, I will never order from 1800FLOWERS again.

By the time they added all of their special charges, I spent $88.00. My wife of 30 years received a stupid BOX of roses... There was no WOW factor in the delivery or receipt of the flowers and it completely ruined the entire event. I even went so far as to ask the customer service rep if I could fill out a satisfaction survey because he was so helpful... I did and rated them all 10s... In my comments on the review I stated my reason for calling instead of placing my order online as to "avoid getting the flowers in a box".... I will not use this service again! It was a complete waste of money, terribly deceptive and misleading, and they completely ruined what should have been a very special moment. I have used 1800... probably 30 times over the last 15+ years and this was my first and last huge disappointment.

At 6:45pm the flowers still had NOT arrived. I tried calling again and received the same recorded message that customer service was not taking calls.

I filled out the form again and asked if we needed to be home as we had dinner plans and already pushed them out an hour so we could wait for the flowers to show up. At 7pm no delivery was made so we left for dinner. At 7:45 pm we received an email that a delivery attempt was made... which is total BS. There was no call from the gate to be let into the community, no call from the delivery person to my cell phone that was on file with them... no note on the door... nothing. I have requested a full refund over email, which they replied and said we would be credited. However, this isn't about the money. It's about delivering on an order they said would be "GUARANTEED". Way to ruin a holiday. They definitely didn't "deliver smiles". Last time I will attempt to use 1-800-Flowers.

And as you see from all the other complaints you call and they're too busy. I've been calling for 8 hours, the recording should say, "Ha, you've been robbed." Ordered an expensive bouquet for my wife a week ago and had also paid the extra amount for the "Guaranteed Delivery". Just like the others have stated on this site, 1-800-Flowers was a no-show. The funny thing was I had been tracking my order throughout the day, and at 7:15 pm the tracking info showed there was an "Attempted Delivery" at 7:29 pm. How could there have been an attempted delivery recorded at 7:29 fifteen minutes BEFORE I checked at 7:15! Anyway, will not ever do business with this company again. They're a band of thieves.

Fool that I am, I ordered from this company (did wait 2 years). Thought I was smart this time and I ordered the flowers almost 2 weeks ago, but did they show up? NO, NO, NO!!!! Been trying for the last 8 hours to get someone to answer a phone (got through once to a live person, and they hung up on before a word got out of my mouth) and no response to multiple emails. When I check their status online, it updated at 7PM saying that a delivery was attempted at 7:03PM. Impossible, as I was at the delivery address at that time. I have written 3 inquiries to the company and have no response as yet. This company does not seem to have to ability to deliver the paid for and promised service. Why accept my money if you cannot deliver. I did not receive an email notifying of an attempted delivery and who to contact so that they can redeliver. I have not received any calls from 1800flowers. This is a pure scam. I will never never use 1800Flowers again.

I wish I had searched and found all the complaints about 1800flowers.com prior to my order. I travel extensively and had been away for a few weeks. I ordered flowers on Wednesday for my wife to be delivered today at her work during working hours. I even tried to get an update earlier today while switching planes on my way home. Press 2 for delivery status is a joke because they're too busy!!!! I tried to even make an order just to get a live voice. Not. Needless to say, I get home tonight and my wife, whom left the office just after 5pm, had zero delivered.

What's a joke is that I got an email at 4:56pm today titled delivery update. But there wasn't jack other than the order was received and the florist was preparing it for delivery. At 4 minutes before the end of business day it was being prepared for delivery. Last time I checked there isn't a single florist within 4 minutes walk or drive of my wife's work. You get what you pay for I guess and I guess I should have stuck to FTD.

At 6 pm she tells me about leaving early which made me reveal I had a "surprise" for her which made her happily stay the additional 1.5 hrs (she stayed 30 mins extra) except...for the fact that the delivery never arrived. You could imagine my shock when they arrived in a box, not even arranged just slapped into a box with some plastic over them. They were nothing like the beautiful arrangements on the website. These flowers looked like my 10-year old had picked them off the side of the highway. I will never order flowers from them again. The flowers were wilted, scrawny, and not even fully bloomed. The box contained no greenery or baby's breath. You pretty much just get a box of flowers wrapped in plastic, and a vase wrapped in bubble wrap. I ordered flowers for Valentine's Day delivery 2 WEEKS!! in advance. I received a confirmation that the order was received, and wrongly assumed everything was set to go (was even told by an agent I had nothing to worry - she added in the notes to deliver by 3, GUARANTEED!). After receiving no indication they were delivered 2 PM day of, I began calling and could not get through the customer service line after 10 attempts (10 minutes or more hold each time, then simply disconnected). I then tried calling the sales line (of course idiots like this company wouldn't refuse to scam more customers out of money). FINALLY I was connected to a live agent. After explaining my issue, I was asked to be placed on hold to check the status. After a couple minutes, I was hung up on!! This happened twice on consecutive calls!!

This company is an absolute racket - if they are unable to fully staff customer service and uphold deliveries on the likely busiest flower delivery day of the year - DO NOT SELL FLOWERS!! Absolutely atrocious customer service - complete inconvenience for me. I have NEVER encountered a company that is so utterly ignorant and non-responsive to their customers. I would imagine this was a planned scheme for 1-800-Flowers to handle the tens/hundreds of thousands of complaints coming in from other customers with similar experiences. Great way to treat your customers, 1-800-FLOWERS - simply turn a blind eye and refuse to address your blatant, pathetic level of service!!

This is the first time I've ordered from 1800flowers. In the past, have used Teleflora and FTD, but have had issues with both of them. I ordered a dozen roses yesterday morning and they were delivered this morning around 10 AM. Can't complain about that and the roses are quite nice. What's interesting to me is that they were delivered by UPS in a box, so I had to unwrap them and put them in the vase that came with them myself. Not a big deal because I happened to be home today, but if I hadn't of been, my wife would have been stuck putting her gift together herself. I'm guessing that they only deliver this way with certain things and that most of their orders come through local florists like Teleflora and FTD do.

My wife and I got married on 3/16/2013. This was our first Valentine's day as a married couple. I went online to 1-800 flowers.com and placed an order on 2/3/2014 for a delivery to be sent to my wife on 2/13/2014. The order was never received. My wife happened to be out of work that day so I asked her the morning of 2/14/2014 if any flowers were waiting for her. She told me, no. So I called the customer service number for 1800 flowers and received a message telling me that they are too busy to take my call. TOO BUSY TO TAKE CALLS? I have never heard of a company doing this.

They informed me that I should go online to email them and so I did. Do you think I have heard from them yet? Nope - they have not responded to me. Meanwhile my wife is out of something special that I gave from my heart. Shame on this company for how they treat their customer base. Shame on them for taking a holiday that is sacred to some and making it impossible to reach them. I was hoping I could rectify the situation but to no avail. I will NEVER do business with this company and I encourage no one else to do business with them either. Best of luck if you choose to do so.

One time I got no response and finally got an actual response but no results besides they will contact the florist who was supposed to deliver them and see what happened... WHERE ARE MY FLOWERS I PAID FOR?? I chose to have them delivered yesterday vs. today which she still hasn't received them due to us not spending today together due to work. But in a snow storm miles away and grieving for the loss of my family member I thought that going with a familiar name was the way to to go. I called the order line on Wednesday, 2 days before my aunt's viewing, for an arrangement that stated "same day delivery". I asked that the arrangement be delivered to the funeral home today, Friday, before the start of the viewing. I paid a premium price for a standing arrangement. I received a call 30 minutes ago, one hour before the start of my aunt's viewing, telling me that they would not be able to deliver and my money would be refunded in 3-5 business days! I am livid and so hurt. This company needs to be closed down and I am putting in a formal complaint to the BBB so that this does not happen to anyone else!
