Placed the order twice, never get the confirmation email, even was assured on the phone order was placed. In a few hours called again to make sure order will be fulfilled. Assurance again. Another call two hours later – promises again that it will be delivered by 7:00 pm. Long story short, called after 8:00 asking if order was delivered. Of course, not. Tons of lie, transferring one to another. They all have notes how many times I called, and how many times I told them how important this delivery is. I ended up driving at 10 pm, finding flowers myself, driving 45 min and delivered it MYSELF. It is after super busy day, filled with frustration. The cost of this delivery for me was $119 and tons of nerves and tears. They are horrible, careless and not reliable. Don't waste your time!

I ordered flowers on 10/27 for delivery to my wife's work on 10/28 for our 20th anniversary. I received an order confirmation the same day and assumed all was good. On 10/28 at around 11 a.m. I hadn't heard from my wife so I tried to check the tracking option, but it only said it was waiting for confirmation. I didn't panic and checked later in the day at around 3 p.m. as I had no word of delivery. I sent an email to customer service with no response (still haven't as of 10/29). They were never delivered. I called today on 10/29 and the service rep indicated that the first florist didn't have the arrangements and tried to transfer it to someone else, but apparently it was canceled.
No one called me to let me the issue or problem and probably never would have unless I called them. They said they would refund my money in 3 days and send a coupon, but I will never use this company ever again. Unfortunately, I can't recreate my 20th anniversary and the joy I tried to bring to my wife. Funny thing is once I got off the phone with them, they were able to send me a survey to fill out within 5 minutes.

I ordered flowers in the am on 10/26/15 to be delivered anytime before 3pm on 10/27/15. As of today 10/28/15 122pm CST the flowers still have not been delivered. I called on 10/27/15 in the evening and they said they would follow up and get back to me. They tried to deliver but could not. Today, 10/28/15 they are now saying they delivered the flowers yesterday to a neighbor at the same address. I told them the flowers had not been delivered. They said "ok let me check it out and call you back." This is pathetic and wrong! They have lost my business forever!

Awful. I placed my order on 10/21 to have flowers delivered to my wife's job for our anniversary which is today. Around noon, I hadn't heard from her. Thinking this was odd, I logged in to track my order, only to find there was no tracking information. Even more suspicious, immediately after checking the tracking, I get an email from the company stating that the order had just been sent to the florist. At 12:30 in the afternoon. Not ready to flip out just yet, I wait a couple hours. I finally get a text from my wife and no mention of the flowers. She's just telling me that, due to a slow day, she may go home early. So now I do flip out. I get off the phone with her and call 1-800-FLOWERS. All this person can tell me is that the order went to the local florist and was on the truck. At one point, this person was trying to tell me that the florist had reported it as delivered already. Meanwhile there was still no tracking/delivery information in their system.
I demanded they contact the florist again and ensure that the order make it there before 4 pm and that I was to be informed immediately upon delivery. At 4 pm I called again. This representative then tried to tell me that for businesses they had until 5 pm to make delivery unless an earlier delivery time was specified. I then called her out for essentially telling me that it was my fault that the item was not delivered on time despite there being no option for special requests/delivery times at the website. Only the message that it would be delivered "on or before" the delivery date. She attempted to backpedal stating that the "representative should have specified" that I had the option to schedule an early delivery. I told her once again that I placed my order via the website and nothing indicated that the delivery would be so late. She then offered to call the florist while I held.
When she came back she told me that it had gone out on the truck around 1:30 pm but couldn't tell me when it would arrive. It was at this point I told her to cancel my order and refund my money. That I could stop at a florist and buy flowers on the way home for less money. I was put on hold again. She came back and told me that the order was cancelled and that I should see the refund within the next few days but then tried to push the blame on this imaginary "agent" that I originally spoke to. I told her that her excuses did nothing to improve the situation and hung up. As I was writing this I got a call from their customer service claiming that the order was delivered. I told this person that I hadn't heard from my wife so either the florist was lying or they delivered it to the wrong place. Either way I would not be paying. Awful service. Steer clear. Will never use again. Will post this review in as many places as I can.

I placed an order online for a flower arrangement to be sent to the Church for my very dear friend's funeral. The day of the service I logged onto 800 Flowers website to track my order and confirm they had been delivered, I was shocked to find that they hadn't. I called customer service and within seconds the representative automatically assumed that I was at fault, she said that I had provided an incorrect address which was untrue. She then berated me for not including a delivery time. The online form does not have a space for requested delivery times, I was then reprimanded for not placing my order with a rep!
She called the florist and found that they could not get in contact with the church. I never received a call nor did the person of contact that was given in case of a problem. My flowers were never delivered and I feel absolutely horrible for not having sent anything to offer my sympathy. I will never use 800-Flowers again, they never offered anything to correct their mistake and bad customer service, not even an apology email, nothing!

I ordered flowers for a relative for her birthday. I do this for her every year. This year, her flowers did not arrive on time because she went out to dinner. I will never use 1-800-Flowers again. I was unaware of the 9-7 delivery window because she always received her flowers earlier in the day. Calling 1-800-Flowers customer service number was a complete waste of time. The automated voice not recognize my order number. I had to call back several times and finally had to speak to a customer service representative whom I could barely understand.

My staff sent me flowers on Boss's Day (Oct 16) and all excitedly called and texted me throughout the day to see if my gift had arrived. I stalled a trip to make sure to be here for the delivery and when I finally had to leave, had a neighbor on the lookout (with a sign on my door with instructions) for the delivery. My employees called the service number several times and were told that the delivery driver was out making deliveries - with my flowers - yet they never showed up. We were also sent an email confirmation that the flowers had actually BEEN delivered. But then when we tried to determine where they had been delivered, we were told that was a mistake.
TODAY - MONDAY the 19TH - the flowers are still not delivered. I asked if I could just go pick them up and was told that they were not allowed to give out that type of information. They wanted to know how long I could stay home to wait for the flowers and that it may be 7 pm tonight when they arrived. TOTALLY NOT acceptable. This is the worst service ever and people should refrain from using them at all costs. Just google a reputable flower shop in the town you need flowers to be delivered in... I've had two dealing with 1-800-Flowers and they have both been total disasters.

I ordered flowers for a family funeral and my ordered was cancelled the night before the funeral. They had the time and date for the funeral and then blamed the 8:30 am start time as being too early. A professional company would never have cancelled a funeral order the night before. Please take your business elsewhere. There are plenty of reputable companies that deserve your business.

I ordered a $90 flower arrangement for my daughter that passed away. It was a beautiful picture of white and purple flowers, a large basket full of flowers. The title even said "White and Lavender Flowers." I really wanted purple flowers to remember my daughter Violet. The flowers were delivered, and I was absolutely horrified at how terrible they were. It was a basket with 20% of the flowers the picture had shown, and they were pink and white. I wouldn't have paid $20 for the arrangement, much less $90. And it already such a horrible day emotionally, and then I just felt like a horrible mother when I couldn't even get decent flowers for my poor lost daughter.
I called the next day and explained. They said they would redeliver new ones that day. The new ones NEVER came. I called again that evening. They said they were on the truck. Never came. They said they had been delivered, but they hadn't. I was home all day and they never came. So I called and asked for a refund. They said they would give it to me and I offered to send pictures. They never refunded it. I called again 2 weeks later and they said they would process a refund. Still waiting.... meanwhile they have called several times to ask if I got flowers on that day. So they keep reminding me of my loss of my daughter. I would NEVER, EVER use this company again. They have just been the most inconsiderate company I have ever dealt with.

I am absolutely disgusted with the poor service I received. On 10/15/15, I ordered flowers for my sister-in-law in the hospital awaiting surgery to be delivered on 10/16/15. The flowers were not delivered. I called again on the evening of the 16th and was told they cancelled that order and would order with a different florist for delivery on 10/17/15. On the late afternoon of 10/17/15 they still were not delivered and I called and spoke to a supervisor who stated that they had spoken to a florist in the morning who guaranteed delivery but that she would call me back at close of business local time to confirm.
Supervisor did not call back but another customer service agent called and said they were sorry but the flowers were not delivered and would not be delivered until Monday 10/19/15. I was livid and cancelled the order. This is second time they have not delivered flowers I have ordered on the date promised. The worst experience ever. No one should order anything through this company.

I am deeply disappointed with 1-800-Flowers.com and will never seek their services again. After ordering flowers for a co-worker to be delivered at the church where his grandmother's funeral was being held, I get a call at 5 pm the day of delivery from a person I can barely understand nonetheless, to inform me that there is no florist that can complete my order (which I had already paid for) to be delivered that day. I was willing to be flexible and then asked if they could deliver it the following morning. Once again, no they could not and asked for a home address to send them to instead.
Why would I want you to send flowers to a home address days after a funeral? That makes absolutely no sense. I requested a full refund and now my co-worker will not be getting any kind of condolences from me at the funeral. Thank you 1-800-Flowers.com for absolutely nothing. A piece of advice, don't offer same-day delivery when you can't even deliver within three days. Also, if your customer service department cannot speak fluent English, they need to be doing literally anything but making phone calls.

I had to make time to call them again, stay on hold for few minutes, and then again get a run around and say we will give you 14 dollars back as a sorry. Money is not the point. They just do not care. It's been 2 days and the flowers are not even there. I went online and ordered flowers for my mom's 54th birthday. I wanted it to be special and they delivered the flowers 1 week early. I left them a comment on the 1-800-flowers website and I am hoping for a reply. I don't understand how you can deliver it 1 week early. It was supposed to be a surprise and instead now I have to try and hide them from her and hope they look just as good as they do today or I have to give them to her 1 week early. It would not have been a big deal if it was 1 day early or 1 day late. Fine but 1 week early? Really?? So now it's like what should I do - give them to her and be like happy birthday and look like a fool because it's not her birthday for another week? 1-800- flowers resolved my issue in 24 hours after having flowers delivered that were not the product I ordered.
So I am happy about that. I just encouraged the company to look into the issue of having photos of flowers you will get that don't resemble the product delivered.
Although they resolved the problem quickly, it seems to be an ongoing problem as seen on this site and others. I am hopeful they will make those changes and I may give them another chance. We will see, it is up to them to have returning customers.

Ordered a $140.00 worth of long stem multi colored long stem roses with a beautiful vase for my sick Mom in the hospital. I got wilted, red, white and cream roses that were not long stem and in a terrible vase. It had a pathetic ugly pink ribbon on it. You could go to the grocery store and spend 20 bucks for what I got. Then they offered to give me half my money back. I was like "no, you give me all the money back and come pick up your crappy flowers". They said they would resend tomorrow. So we will see if they follow through, but the false advertisement is criminal and is no more than stealing from its customers. I will never use them again.

Ordered a dozen Yellow roses on 9/22/15 for 9/23/15 delivery (our 43rd anniversary date). Flowers arrived from a local florist - Marana WildFlowers, 11851 W. Marana Rd., Marana, AZ 856353-520-441-9541- THEIR ORDER NUMBER WAS **. When flowers arrived on Thursday they were beautiful, however by Sunday (just 3 DAYS later) they were drooping, wilting, and the edges were turning brown. 3 DAYS!!! By the way, I have tried on three different occasions to contact this local florist but they haven't responded to my emails and when I call the owner is never available! What an embarrassment for me! Thought I was purchasing my wife her favorite color of roses for a very special day but the beauty only lasted 3 days!
Had an extremely difficult time in trying to get help at 1-800-Flowers because of a mistake I made when ordering. When you order from 1-800-Flowers that you made damn certain that you change the AUTOMATICALLY POPULATED BILLING INFORMATION. I did not, although I used my email address and my credit card (with MY name on it - not my wife's) , seems that doesn't matter. Due to the fact that the Billing info was in my wife's name, they were unwilling to talk to me, let alone help me. After getting a tad upset, I was put on a 5 minute hold. When Brenda returned she lectured me regarding that since the Billing info (which was AUTOMATICALLY POPULATED) that she didn't really have to help me! Really?
Brenda at 1-800-Flowers finally offered me a 50% refund and a 20% future discount!?!? When I pressed for an 100% refund, Brenda told me that was not possible! 50% refund was the best she could do. I requested to speak to her Supervisor (but you know what that's like) and again put on hold for 7 minutes, then Brenda came back on the line to tell me that ALL Supervisors were busy and one would return my that day. Well, it is now 48 hours later and still no call - so much for their PRINTED PROMISE OF 100% SATISFACTION GUARANTEE!

Delivered flowers for my birthday a few days ago and I was at work so the flowers were left outside in hot Florida sun, for who knows how long - I came home close to midnight and they stop deliveries at 5 pm. The vase had been broken and flowers spread on the porch. I called them and was told that the policy was to leave deliveries when the customer is not at home. That alone is insane, but okay, they offered to re-deliver the arrangement and I spent 20 minutes on the phone setting that up for this morning. She assured me that the driver would be there by 11:30 am. I called again this morning and was assured the same thing.
As 11:30 came and went, I called back and spoke to yet another one of their agents who can't speak coherent English, and she told me that they cannot guarantee a time for delivery. Seriously??? I had to leave for work, and will not be home during the day all week, so I asked her if I could pick up the flowers myself. So she tells me that she cannot disclose the address or name of the florist, but that she would be happy to arrange the pickup. I don't know how it even made sense in her head, but she seemed to have trouble understanding that I wanted to know where the florist was located PRIOR to agreeing to pick up the flowers.
This conversation ended with me telling her to issue a refund to the original purchaser, and she told me that they can only do that if that person requests it. So I had to let them know that their birthday flowers were vandalized, which I really did not want to do. It was upsetting enough coming home to that. Then I got a message during the day while at work telling me that the flowers were delivered, and asking if I had received them. Did I mention that I told these people that I would be at work all day and not to leave any more flowers on my porch? It was a lovely gesture, but has created more aggravation for me than it was worth. They are in some third world country and do not speak coherent English, and they obviously do not know what they are doing or even bothering to listen to the customer's requests.

This year (3 days before her birthday) I ordered from flowers.com.
At three in the afternoon (ON her birthday) I received a message that they need to charge an extra $15 for "extra" delivery. I was a little upset (I felt like that is something I should have learned when I ordered the flowers). I told them I was upset about the extra charge but it was late in the day, ON her birthday and I wanted her to have the flowers. My account has been debited and for the first time in over 20 years my friend did not receive any flowers. I haven't heard back from them and I'm beyond angry! On Sept. 12, I received a phone message from what I am guessing to be the florist that was to make the arrangement and deliver them, telling me to contact 1800Flowers about my order. I called 1800Flowers and was told that the florist did not have the roses, but per the website they could make substitutions. I said fine, however, the customer service rep then told me that my order had been cancelled and I would need to reorder them.
Now my order is a SAME DAY DELIVERY and I would never make the cut off. All I was offered from 1800Flowers was a credit for my purchase which by law they have to give and a $20 coupon on my next purchase. Honestly! I learned, if you order through 1800Flowers, your arrangement may or may not show up. Better off calling a local florist. Only one that loses out are the customers. I will NEVER risk having this happen again. BYE BYE 1800Flowers.

I had ordered flowers for my fiancee to be married in 4 months from now. She got 1/2 dead, 1/2 dried & roses not on the stalk, all shoved into a box. She pulls the flowers out in total horror & calls me saying the flowers are DEAD! What happened? Why? How do I salvage my wedding? I made nearly 20 calls 3 times a day to 1-800-Flowers starting 9/8/2015 begging them to reissue fresh flowers, nothing happened. "OK then refund my money," nothing happened. So I filed a complaint with my credit card company Mastercard.

Three orders = 3+ hours on the phone, still not resolved. I'm a member of the "Celebrations Passport Club" for $30/year, which deletes any service charges/fees for flower deliveries. They still charge me the higher amount. Their billing dept. appears to be all screwed up. They also tell me it takes 3-5 days to fix credit card billing errors. They posted a correction on my credit card, then took it off. Three weeks later, still screwed up. Also, when I forgot my account password, it took five days to receive an email link to re-set it (after receiving a bogus response "page not available" email). This is my first review re internet services in 15+ years. Save your time/money and avoid this company! They are not worth the frustration. I will NEVER use them again!

Ordered from 1-800-Flowers well over a week in advance. The delivery never showed at recipient address, 1-800-Flowers called my office after hours to confirm the information for the driver. Of course we were not there. Call the next business day and found out that florist couldn't deliver, so they had to go to another florist. Both calls resulted in a customer service rep telling me it was taken care of. Recipient never received anything. Finally had to ask for money back and will NEVER NEVER USE them again.

I ordered the large version of the rose arrangement for a 'Congrats for New Baby'. The arrangement was a week late. The pictures below are of what I ordered and what was sent. The only thing bearing any resemblance is the pitcher. I don't see any roses. I paid 84.98 for that arrangement.

I recently bought flowers on my wife's birthday (order number ** - Expressions of Pink) and was extremely disappointed with what she received. The flowers were nowhere close to what was displayed on the website. See attached pictures of what was published and what we received. I reported this to their Customer Service and after a couple emails, Jim McCann, the founder responded back offering me a $20 "Savings Pass" for this. Am I stupid to go back to the store and spend more money to avail the $20 discount? What about the disappointment of receiving the wrong product in the first place? Try this gimmick with someone else! This is a straightforward case of wrong/defective product that should be refunded immediately.

I ordered flowers for my dear friend for her birthday. I placed the order at 1pm for same day delivery. They said it would be delivered by 7pm. I called at 7:30pm since no flowers arrived. They said for me to call back for an update. 9pm and still no flowers and they have no reason why. They said they would deliver the flowers tomorrow and call the receiver to say it wasn't my fault that I really wanted to flowers to arrive on her birthday. I couldn't believe they said this as if I would want them calling my friend. They ruined the night. I will never order from them again and hope people read this before they decide to place an order with them. I wish I would have looked up reviews on them before I placed my order.

I placed an order early in the morning (before 9am) for two flower arrangements for both my wife and mother-in-law just to do something nice. I paid the extra money for same day delivery and there were no errors in the delivery address. (Both were same address.) I was informed that they would be delivered between 9am and 7pm. I had told my wife and mother-in-law to stay home because I was expecting something to be delivered. When I got home at 8:45pm the arrangements had still not been delivered. When I called customer service they stated that the florist attempted to deliver them and could not which I knew was crap because both of them were home all day and by this time the florist was closed.
I requested they cancel the order and give me a full refund and she (Honey) tried to convince me to not cancel my order by offering me partial refunds and I had to tell her 5-6 times before she said OK then I was put on hold for 5mins. When Honey finally returned she told me that I would get my money refunded ($145.35) and it would be back in my account in 24-48hrs which I hope happens and she said that I would receive a $20 discount per order arrangement which I will not be using them. I have no desire to pay for a product and service that I do not get and then be fed a load of B.S. as to why they could not do what they said and I paid them to do.

It was the most frustrating experience I have ever had trying to place an order over the phone. I would have placed it online however, their prices and delivery dates were all off. Terrible!!!

I had to get funeral flowers for a wake for the next day in the afternoon. They state they have "same day flowers and service". They have a special section of same days flowers available. I was ordering flowers on my account for two other relatives along with myself. It was a nightmare. I was on the phone with a polite young man and ordered the first arrangement in the colors that were told to me by one of my relatives. He said it would be there the next day, no problem, but it took him soooo long to get my information.
I was on the phone over 15 minutes with the first order and 2 more to go, then I get cut off and I had to call again.. A young woman answered, very polite but told me the flower arrangements were not available for the same day delivery. I said that they were in the section that said same day flowers available and put in the area code of the funeral home for availability. She said, "Sorry but they are not available. Would you like a plant instead?" I said, "NO, I am ordering for other people". She said, "Can it be delivered the day after Friday?" to which I responded, "NO, it is the day of the wake on Friday and they must be there." She said, "The vendors have all reached their quota for the day and no flowers are available or can be delivered to that zip code, would you like to choose another ANOTHER ZIP code to send it to instead?" Another zip code? This is a deceased relative that is in a certain funeral home!
She then said, "Well can we send it to another zip code?" "NO! It must be sent to the funeral home!!" Oh man!!! She could not find any flowers and kept looking but I told her I am trying someplace else, which I did and they were quick, had loads of flowers, assured me they would be at the funeral home hours before the wake and even gave me a 20% discount! I was on the phone with 1-800 Flowers for about 45 minutes, they seemed clueless, polite but clueless. I will never, ever order from them!

Hours went by while my friend slept and when she awoke at 3, still no flowers. I then called back and was told they were "on the truck heading over now". Two hours later, still no flowers. When I then called yet again, I was told the same thing I was at 10:30, in which case I lost it because told him I had given them specific instructions 6 hours earlier. This is a follow up to my previous review. The company did respond to my comments and the flowers did show up. UPS left them on the back door step without notifying anyone that they were there. If I had not contacted my cousin inquiring about the flowers she would not have found them outside. So I'm laying the blame here with UPS. Finally after numerous phone calls to customer service the flowers arrived. They looked nothing like the arrangement displayed online and the names on the card were all misspelled. After calling customer service again she was told that she would receive a full refund. The next day 1-800-Flowers called the hospital and said they were coming to take the flowers back! Do not contact me with any promotional materials in the future. Do not send me any complimentary anything. Your company should be ashamed of themselves. The bouquet was nothing like it was represented as online. And now you are giving me trouble with this re-delivery which I did not solicit, stipulating that there needed to be an exchange. I spent more than a half an hour searching through flower arrangements for my wife's birthday. When I found the one that I knew had the "WOW" Factor, I ordered it in the largest size possible confident that she was going to love it. What she received was about half of the size and completely in the wrong colors of flowers and looked cheap like something you would buy at the grocery store. I emailed their customer service department and let them know how completely dissatisfied I was. I told them I wanted a full refund. Instead they offered to resend the correct flowers the next day when it was no longer her birthday. When I disagreed with that, they offer to give me back 14.99 for their service charge, on an arrangement that was well over $100.
Again I asked for a refund. Their response was to offer me half of my money back. Their reasoning was she received some flowers so therefore I should have to pay at least half. By that reasoning they could've sent her a pile of weeds and it would still have been my obligation to pay. It did not matter to them that she did not receive anything close to what I ordered. So the end result is I got back half of my money and they were going to resend her supposedly the correct flowers the next day. In all honesty they could have sent her flowers every day for the next week and it would not matter to me as I wanted her birthday to be special and she did not get what I paid for. Why did they send the order to a shop that was too far? 1-800-Flowers San Antonio is, BY FAR, the worst company I have ever had to experience dealing with. I just got off the phone with the manager after having to literally scream over him to demand my money back. UNPROFESSIONAL CON ARTISTS would be the perfect description for them. I ordered a beautiful sunflower arrangement for a girlfriend who lives in SA last Saturday due to the loss of her Grandfather. The flowers were supposed to deliver the same day. Of course, they did not. After emailing them several times throughout the weekend and on Monday asking for the status and why there was a hold up, ** finally emails me back with, "We attempted delivery - rec was not available - we will try again today." and that was it. The flowers were then delivered and left on my friend's doorstep for several hours in the beating-hot sun.
Once my friend got home to them, they were wilted and nearly dead. So, I emailed ** back with the photo of the dead flowers demanding a new arrangement or a full refund. He responded with, "what is the problem? The sunflowers are just opening up - so that is why they look "ruffled". Um, ARE YOU KIDDING? No. Completely unacceptable. I'm not an idiot and neither is my friend; I know wilting dead flowers when I see them...? I was insulted at this point. So, I call them and talk to a nice young lady over the phone, asking her if I can either have a new arrangement sent out or my full refund. She informs me that a replacement arrangement has already been scheduled to be sent out.
Although this is news to me since NO ONE COMMUNICATED THIS TO ME, I was somewhat relieved that they were "taking care of" the problem. I asked her to please make sure that the driver leaves them in the front office if the recipient is not home. She told me that will not be a problem and she will let her driver know. She said that her driver is scheduled to leave at 3 pm. I'm thinking, "Great! Plenty of time for them to deliver her new arrangement to the front office in case she is not home!" Did that happen? NOPE.
My friend then calls me laughing, while calling this company a joke, and tells me that they left a handwritten note on her door asking her to call a number in order to receive her new arrangement. WOW. I am in total shock at this point, and very disgusted by this company. So I call them AGAIN, leaving a voicemail that a full refund needs to be issued back to me immediately. Of course, no one calls me back to handle the issue. So, I call this morning and let them know what had happened, how unprofessional it was, and that I would like a refund. After the customer service rep speaks to his manager, he tells me I cannot be issued a full refund due to them having to deliver the flowers on three different tries. So I asked to speak with the manager.
By this point, I was very frustrated and heated, yet hoping that the manager would be understanding of my warranted frustrations and would handle the problem properly. NOPE! Instead, he began arguing with me that it was not their fault that the recipient was not home. It was not their fault that the first arrangement was left in the heat to die. It was not their fault that they had to try to deliver it three times. And that they absolutely cannot give me a full refund due to the fact that they HAD TO make three delivery runs, even though NO ONE contacted me OR the recipient to let either of us know that they were trying to deliver the flowers. I explained to him that if someone would have called me to let me know that she was not home, that would have been better than leaving an unprofessional sloppy note on her door asking her to call herself if she wanted the new arrangement.
At this point, I'm basically laughing in this guy's face. So after several minutes of having the manager yell at me that this is not their problem or responsibility that they have admirably FAILED at providing their one and only simple service, he then tells me I can get a 50% refund, but that he doesn't know which credit card I used to purchase the flowers. So I go to look at my confirmation email and, OF COURSE!, it doesn't say it on there, either. So I had to give him just any card so that I could get my mere 50% refund back, but dammit to hell if they refunded me for the $30 delivery fees. Since, you know, it wasn't their fault that the recipient wasn't home. Or that they left them in the heat for several hours to die.
So basically, in order to have successful service from 1-800-Flowers San Antonio, please make sure that your recipient is home 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, or they will either receive dead flowers, no flowers at all, or a sloppy, hand-written note on their door asking them to call a number if they want the flowers. NOTE: 1-800-Flowers San Antonio is an independently operated company; not affiliated with 1-800-Flowers, Inc. Unprofessional, sloppy, and disgusting. Do not give this company your money. 1st experience - My husband was out of town for business and missed our 1st sonogram appointment. This is also our first child, so you can imagine, that he was bummed for missing out. He sent me lovely flowers that were to have a very special message sent with them. I never received any message, in fact, I didn't even know who the flowers were from. I had to call and ask him if he was the one who sent the flowers. It was very disappointing that I never got the message and he was upset that his words were never conveyed; especially with the price tag that's attached to ordering through 1-800-Flowers.
2nd experience (2 wks later) - Sadly one of our friend's mother passed away very unexpectedly. The visitation & funeral was set in a very short time frame. I called on Thurs AM to have a very large and expensive standing spray delivered for the following day to the funeral home prior to 2pm. I was assured that this would not be an issue. Thurs. at 4:40 pm I receive a call from 1-800-Flowers that they can no longer fulfill the order, because the local florist is too far away. The sales guy then proceeded to tell me that he could find another florist that would deliver, but we would need to change the order to something comparable. He put me on hold for a few minutes to find another florist. In the meantime, am have googled local florists in the area of the funeral. There are quite a few, and had discovered that they close at 5pm.
4:45 the reps returns on the phone and he offered me white flowers in a vase for $54. Mind you, the spray that I had ordered was $180; this doesn't seem like an even swap to me!!! He then offered to have the flowers delivered to the deceased person's home. Umm, that person is no longer be there to receive them, and I asked to have them delivered for the funeral. I asked him whether or not he could properly deliver on my order for the funeral and he put me on hold again. 4:50 I hung up the phone with 10 minutes to spare. I made a call to the closest florist to the funeral home and they fulfilled my order with no issues. I then called 1-800-Flowers back to make sure I was issued a full refund.
Just a few questions: Considering that 1-800-Flowers promotes on their website that they have Funeral/Sympathy Advisors, you would think they might be a bit more understanding when you place an order and find out at the end of a business day that they can't fulfill your order? What was the real issue in fulfilling the order? I had no problem picking up the phone to a local florist and placing an order in 5 minutes that was identical to the one I was trying to have delivered from 1 800 Flowers. If the florist could deliver a $54 vase of flowers, why couldn't they deliver the spray? I thought it was too far??? Why bother with the "ease" of 1-800-Flowers when I google the local florist and have everything taken care of in less than 5 minutes?

I placed an order to be delivered the day before Father's Day and the order was never delivered. The rep at 1800flowers claimed the vendor who accepted the order didn't deliver on weekends and so my father never received his gift. Why would 1800flowers give the order to a vendor who does not deliver on the required date? I am infuriated that I was never informed of the problem. Only after speaking with my father on Father's Day did I learn he never received the gift.
How awful! Could they not inform me that this order would not be fulfilled so that I could make other arrangements in time? If they knew on Friday there was a problem, they should have contacted me to say the delivery can't be made on Saturday. Instead, I found out from my father there was no delivery on Saturday or Sunday! I had to call 1800flowers to ask what was wrong -- they never called me. Absolutely unacceptable. You don't take money for services you can't fulfill.

I have had the most disgusting, ridiculous unethical experience with this company. I ordered flowers on Mother's Day for my mom. I placed the order with a gift card I received from my company and my debit card. The flowers died two days after delivery. Mom called and complained and was told I'd receive half the credit back. I did receive half the credit back to my debit card. I called to ask why the difference wasn't provided and was told because a gift card wasn't a true form of purchase I couldn't receive that back. Of course I escalated. The reps were so rude and disrespectful to me. After spending (at that time) over two hours explaining to them how their negligence was not my fault they agreed to credit the remaining half to my debit card.
Working in customer service I knew that the response I got from the rep was not normal; a credit can only be provided back in the initial form of purchase. So I contacted the corporate office and spoke to **. He advised he would provide a $30 savings pass and apologized about the issue. He promised me he would send an email on confirmation of the pass. Didn't get it. Called customer service back and they said there was a system issue I should receive the email within a few days. No email. This prompted me to call corporate again. I spoke to ** that day who apologized numerous times and advised she saw the $30 savings pass on my account and would send an additional $50 gift card for the inconvenience. She did send the gift card email but no savings pass. At this point I'm so upset that I've been promised things I haven't received I gave myself some time to calm down.
I decided to use the gift card to send mom a birthday gift and plan to make another purchase for dad for Father's Day. I called on Thursday, June 18, 2015 and spoke to ** in customer service. She advised me that I was wrong. I had not been issued a $30 savings pass but been issued two gift cards for $50 each one on May 14 and the second on May 21. She only saw one pin number to activate the gift card and that was for the second one. We placed the orders over the phone that night and she advised because the first card did not show a PIN number issued she would have to contact the loyalty department on Friday, June 19, 2015. She promised she would email me the confirmation numbers at midnight once they provided that information for her. I have not received confirmation. I called customer service two hours ago to no avail.
I attend school in the day time (full time student) and work full time at night. I don't have ANY spare time on hand to sit and speak to these reps about their lack of knowledge or negligence. I am now holding and have been on the phone with customer service for two hours. They are reviewing the call from last night. They state that I've only been provided a $30 credit, and they have no knowledge of an additional $50 gift card. The issue here is that this could have been resolved six weeks ago when I placed my initial order if one rep would have assumed responsibility, followed up and apologized. I have spoken to more than 12 reps since this started. I have spent a total of four hours on the phone with them over the past 72 hours for a total of an entire eight hours. That's an entire work shift to no resolve.
Retail is easy. People are spending their hard earned money with you not to be misinformed about deliveries, not to be upset about the quality of product they receive, not to be badgered and lied to about services that will be provided, not to waste additional time coaching you all about your negligence knowledge of the business or lack thereof. True customer service includes assuming responsibility of an issue. Especially if you're at fault. Apologizing to your customer. Especially when you are wrong. Rectifying the situation.
I choose to do business with you all because I have in the past with ease, as well as friends and family that I know and no one has EVER received the lack of service that I have. They will be warned about this situation in hopes that they'll choose the local florist who's been in business for years and has a wonderful relationship with the community over this ridiculous substitute. That care about their clients and what they experience. That know that the service they provide can give comfort for their clients.
I suggest that you all research the definition of what true customer service is. The convenience of doing business with you all does not and will never triumph the requirement of being treated fairly with integrity and honesty. Also, if your grower wouldn't have sent my mother expired flowers we would have never had this problem. You should be ashamed of yourselves. Some of these complaints here are horrendous. If you offer products for funeral services have some compassion and sympathy and make sure you deliver in a prompt and accurate manner. If you're providing floral service for a guy who wants to congratulate his wife meet your obligations. Make your deliveries on time and with quality and if you cannot meet this obligation don't make that promise.
I have just completed the call with the customer service representative and my orders were processed. I pray that they are delivered on time with no issues. However, I will not be doing any business with you. I hope you're never the last resort… that I have a number of options when I'm choosing how I'd like to honor my loved ones. I never in my life want to have to experience anything like this. I pray everyday that I lead by example and provide exceptional service to the clients I speak to daily. Even if I don't on my very worst day I'm not even close to 1/100 of the foolishness I've experienced today, last night, yesterday and over the past six weeks with your company. Afraid to do business with you.

I ordered a cookie basket and paid extra for delivery in 2 days on my daughter's birthday to her place of work. When I realized the product had not been delivered on the promised day, I called customer service. The CSR expressed no concern or urgency about the situation and told me the UPS ticket showed "Printed" and gave me the tracking number. When I went on UPS, I realized this meant the product had not even left the building after two days. My daughter was not going to be at work the next day (a Friday) so she was not going to get her present until the following Monday - 4 days late. At that point, I patiently wrote a complaint on their website. The following day, I received an automated status email saying my gift had been delivered on time - giving the previous day's date.
Of course that was not correct. I then wrote another complaint on their website asking for a refund due to their poor service and the amount of my time they wasted.. This was 5 days ago and I have received no response. I recommend that this supplier not be used by any readers. This company - under the umbrella of 1-800 Flowers is supposed to be in the business of getting gifts to loved ones on time. Paying extra for service in 1 or two days is expected but that is for the peace of mind that extra effort is being made to be sure it will get there on a birthday, anniversary, etc. If that promise is not met, I would expect a very strong effort to apologize and make up for it.

At 1:10 I called them to say that I never saw a place to add the room number on their website to which the person I was speaking with replied that I never actually submitted the order therefore he could not find it to add the room number. Then 5 minutes later someone else from 1-800-flowers called me to state that the delivery driver had left for the day and wanted to know if they could deliver the next day. I stated that my mother would only be in overnight and that the driver left early so they should have found someone else should deliver the arrangement.
The person from 1-800-flowers said that he would look for another store to deliver. He ended up calling me 3 times over the following hour with the same excuse that each driver of every florist he checked with had left and they wanted to deliver the next day. I told him every time "she is leaving in the morning, please find someone who can deliver to the hospital today." Each time he responded with "I'll look for another florist and call you back." At 3:30 I ended up calling 1-800-flowers again to see if the flowers ever made it to my mother. They had not and the employee said that he could just refund my credit card. I asked to speak to a manager and was told that there was only one and she was out to lunch.
I called back around 4 and immediately asked to speak to a manager. A woman answered and proceeded to tell me that there was nothing she could do about the flowers or the customer service. I confirmed that I placed the order in plenty time and that technically, the driver should NOT have left EARLY without my mother's flowers. On top of that, she was condescending and rude when I asked why my credit card had not been credited for the flowers yet. Her response: "oh, don't you worry lady, you'll get your money". When you are ordering any flowers, especially sympathy flowers, they should do all they can to get the arrangement to its destination in a timely manner. They most certainly should not give up and push it to the side for the next day. Extremely poor customer service. Not only will I not use them again, I will tell everyone I know not to use them.

To make a long story short, my mom and I needed to place an order for a funeral service. We placed 3 orders with 1800Flowers. There were multiple issues with them: 1st, every single card had a SPELLING MISTAKE in it., and they were mistakes such as "forgetten", which not even a word! 2nd, the flowers were promised to be delivered at a certain time, since it was a funeral service, the whole time the operators at 1800flowers had no idea if my order had even left the florist. I was on hold for 45 minutes, at my work phone. Ended up missing the service, because I was on hold forever and I was not about to show up late to a service. 3rd, the flowers that were eventually delivered, LOOKED NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURES. They put cheap looking flowers in the sets like Daisies rather than more expensive looking Chrysanthemums. They must think their customers are either stupid or blind, because the difference was obvious.
You can see in the pictures, one is what it was supposed to be, and the other is what was actually delivered. They pretty much made a bad day, even worse! Do not do business with them!!! About 10 years ago, I used their service a lot and was very satisfied. Then I stopped -- flowers weren't delivered on time, there were problems with ordering on their website, especially when overseas (I live in Germany). Thought I'd give them a try again after all these years. Boy, what a mistake! After unsuccessfully trying to place two orders on their website on 3 different browsers and two chats with (admittedly very professional and friendly) customer service reps, I finally placed the orders with one of the reps via chat. I received email confirmations for both of my orders, to be delivered on May 26th (both to be delivered in the US, by the way). One order got there fine. But the other one never arrived, no delivery confirmation, either.
After an expensive long-distance call to their US customer service (they don't offer a service number for Germany), I was told hadn't been delivered but it would be sent out the next day (which would've been May 27th). I additionally sent an email, just to be sure. I got a reply, telling me I'd get a $20 certificate (big deal, my order was $100) and this: "To know how to proceed with this order, kindly call us at 800-486-1141." Excuse me? I just told you to deliver them ASAP! And I live in Germany! I will not call you again long-distance. So after writing that, I get this: They "have scheduled a redelivery on May 28, 2015, at no additional cost to you." No additional cost to me? Why the hell should there be? They screwed the order up. The call center must not be in this country for they do not understand English. They side-stepped my questions with generic answers, and asked if the recipient would be home from 8 AM - 7 PM the next day, as if they think an anniversary is every day and didn't care that it was already ruined. Which brings me to last rant:
We already waited in hopes they would bring the arrangement. They don't even attempt to give you a time frame. When you call, they just say you have to stay in your home for 11 hours!!! I'm sorry, but they should be able to narrow it down at least on the delivery date, and that window of time is way too long to try to keep someone home without telling them about a surprise. Then they had the audacity to request us to stay home an additional day to wait another 11 hours?!
There is no point to do business with them. You pay and wait for nothing. You do not get updates or a time frame outside of the 11 hours. Reps avoid issues, and just say the local florist is closed (which should give them a clue that the arrangement will not be delivered.)

My wife and daughter confirmed that NO flowers were received. I sent my daughter down to the concierge the building employs, the concierge confirmed that NO flowers were delivered. I called back 800 Flowers and they told me that they could not give me the florist's name or number and that the florist had closed for the day.
With the representative on the phone, I called my daughter, had her place her phone on speaker so the representative could hear the conversation. She went back down to the concierge and again inquired if any flowers had been delivered. The concierge stated the ONLY flowers delivered were yesterday for a different apartment. I asked if there was another florist that could deliver flowers today, she said no. I asked for my money back, she stated she could not do it because the flowers could still be delivered. I was confused. I thought she stated they were signed for already. I asked for a copy of the signed receipt (FEDEX has), she could not do. I asked for my order number, I could not get that. I wish you all the best of luck, but you are crazy if you deal with this company for flowers to be delivered in the Kissimmee area of Florida.

The company responded to my review here today and sounds like they sincerely want to solve the issue for me. Anyway, I don't want to bother with it any more. I simply wish they have never sent an email to me, after failed delivery, saying that I can't change the order or cancel the order and that was from an email called noreply@***.com. If sending from a "noreply" email address, at least you should leave in the message like "if you want to dispute your case, please contact us at ....". I guess that they bet you won't complain here on ConsumerAffairs.com so they just want to do things at their will instead of yours.

Horrible services and communications. There were very obvious wrong communications between 1-800-flowers, the local florist, and the delivery person. To make long story short. The end result was that they failed to deliver it on May 9th for my Mother's Day celebration, and after I sent a few emails to them asking for refund and listed my very good reasons (and facts) for their faults, guess what they did? They delivered the flower today!!! What an impressive service!

Ordered flowers at 1:30 pm today 5-15-15. Online information indicated they would be delivered today. Checked the online status at 3:30 pm. Status indicated they were in transit. Checked again at 5:30 pm and status then indicated EXCEPTION FOUND. Called and spoke to ** in Customer Service. She placed me on hold and called the florist shop. First, she indicated the florist tried to deliver and the hospital rejected them because it was too late. Then she asked if they could deliver them tomorrow.
When I asked why then would the site promise today's delivery was available, if they could not deliver today she asked if the flowers could be delivered tomorrow morning. When I asked if they would be made fresh tomorrow morning, ** indicated the order had not been made yet. It's too late today to order elsewhere, so I am at their mercy and will have to wait to see if they deliver them tomorrow. Also due to the lie, won't know if they were made fresh. Website delivery availability was a lie and customer service then lied as well. Never again will I order from 1800flowers.com. A $72.00 order and no truth from website or customer service.

I ordered Mother's Day/Birthday flowers for my mother in law on the 6th of May to be delivered on the 9th of May (day before Mother's Day). I stopped over on Mother's Day to see flowers that were already wilted and brown. I called the following morning and was assured that a new bouquet would be delivered that afternoon.... nothing. I called again on Tuesday and was told that the previous "customer service rep" did not actually process the order and that it would be delivered by the following day, Wednesday May 13. I even received an email stating the same.
As of Thursday evening my mother in law STILL had not received her replacement. I called 1800Flowers for a 3rd time and was told they could send it out the next day OR they could give me 50% credit. UMMMM we spent nearly $90 on flowers that died the next day. I told her they need to send a replacement and they assured me they would arrive today, May 15th and that the rep would call me to confirm. We will see but I am not holding my breath. I ordered 2 bouquets for my mother and mother in law for Mother's day. I ordered them the Wednesday before they were guaranteed next day delivery. They NEVER were delivered. So I called next day. They messed up the order then after being on hold for 40 minutes the conclusion was promise of them both being delivered the following day. No flowers again. I called again, another 45 min wait, another hour on phone just to be told "I can see you have contacted us... our apologies..." then they go to tell me the bouquet I already paid for both. Mind you but one was out of stock not available.... which I chose for a special reason. Now I'm crying more upset. They said sorry. Said will upgrade to a different bouquet and the rest the same song and dance.
Saturday goes by NOTHING. NOW MOTHER'S DAY NOTHING. I called, waited 45 minutes AGAIN on hold just to get hung up on. So I waited, called Monday..... After all this I was DONE. We were done with the lies, false promises, being hung up on and still NO FLOWERS. SO to all that they said "we will refund money back on your card." Only got 1/2 back and guess what my mothers NEVER GOT THEIR FLOWERS. I live in a different state from both so it was important to me and all I can say is it was my first time ordering flowers and will be my LAST.

I ordered an arrangement to be delivered on the 16th. I called Monday and asked if they could change the delivery date to the 13th since the order hadn't been shipped and they clearly state this is possible on their website. The first rep I spoke with said it wasn't possible and kept telling me "This is how it's going to be." After listening to this for 10 minutes I asked for a supervisor only to be told, "He said he's too busy." Later that day I called once again, to confirm the delivery date, that lady said the first rep HAD changed it to the 13th.
When the flowers didn't show up yesterday I called and spoke to a supervisor who tried to convince me that the flowers weren't supposed to be delivered until Saturday until I told her about an email I had gotten then her tone got very defensive. I told her I expected my order to be delivered the next day to which she hung up on me. Very poor customer service and I will never use them NOR recommend them to ANYONE!!!

I order flowers from them for Mother's Day on 5/7 with a delivery date of 5/10. They claim a delivery was made on 5/10 @ 7:20 pm. I never got it! So I called them up and spoke to someone who assured me they'd redeliver it for me next day. Well I waited and waited all day on my porch waiting for this delivery. Never showed! So again got on the phone with 1800-Flowers and was told they would have to check into the matter of why it wasn't delivered the second time. Lucky for me I have cameras on my house and did some searching and found there was no first delivery nor a second or a third attempt made.
So today 5 days later still no flowers! I called back demanding a refund and they were trying so hard to hold on to my $87, offering a $20 gift card towards another purchase?? Really?? But once I became very agitated and demanded to speak to a manager the rep changed her tune and began to process the refund. The lesson here... stay away from these people. It would seem that their florists at store retail level are dishonest and/or incompetent and 1800-Flowers customer service reps tell lies to cover up their incompetence!!! And play a good game of passing the buck!

On May 9, 2015, I placed an order on 1-800-Flowers.com to have flowers delivered to my mother the next day, May 10, 2015, for Mother's Day. I even paid the extra shipping and handling for the flowers to be delivered the next day (Sunday, May 10th - Mother's Day). When the flowers did not show up on Mother's Day by 7 pm (as was promised by 1-800-Flowers) I called customer service to see what was happening and repeatedly got a recording telling me they were too busy to answer my call. I finally got through and spoke to a man who identified himself as ** who had no idea where my flowers were and said he couldn't contact the florist (What? 1-800-Flowers can't even contact their own florists on Mother's Day? Sounds fishy to me...) and offered me refund of my shipping and handling and promised me that the flowers would be delivered the next day: Monday, May 11th.
I took him at his word and agreed that that would be okay. Well, the next day, the flowers were not delivered. I called customer service a few times that day and was told over and over again that they did not know where my flowers were and they would be delivered now the next day, Tuesday May 12th. I was offered a partial refund. When the flowers were not delivered on Tuesday, I called again. Still customer service had absolutely no idea what was going on. I was lied to repeatedly. I demanded a full refund (which they issued) and was assured that even with the full refund, they would still deliver the flowers the next day, Wednesday May 13th. I was told by TWO different customer service agents that my flowers would be delivered May 13th.
Imagine my surprise, when they still were not delivered on Wednesday. I called and asked to speak to a supervisor and each of the three times I asked to speak to supervisor, I was told they either were not there, I was hung up on, or I was put on hold indefinitely. I finally had my husband call because I was so upset that I knew I wouldn't be able to have a conversation with 1-800-Flowers without getting really upset. When my husband talked to them, he was told that my flowers were never going to be delivered, end of story. This company completely ruined Mother's Day for me, caused me quite a bit of frustration and pain, and lied to me repeatedly. I think there must be a bigger issue than just terrible customer service. There is something not right going on with this company. They lack any kind of integrity.
I want the original flowers that I ordered delivered to my mother THIS WEEK at no cost to me as I was promised TWICE by customer service agents. Anything less than this settlement and I will take further action. And I am not bluffing. And no, I don't want your crappy $20 savings pass. Thanks.

This is the second year in a row that Mother's day flowers ordered by my niece for me did not arrive on time. Last year it took 4 days and them cancelling the first order and creating a new order to finally get the flowers delivered. This year, I called 1-800-Flowers at 6 PM on Mother's day and asked where my flowers were, the tracking information stated that they were "delivered". I was told that florists mark the order delivered when they load their trucks. They supposedly spoke with the florist on Mother's day and were told they were pretty sure it was on the truck and the flowers would be delivered by 10 PM on Mother's day. NEVER GOT DELIVERED!
I called on Monday after work.. (6 PM) Customer service could not get the florist on the phone, she told me it would be dealt with on Tuesday. I called on Tuesday at lunch time, once again.. florist was called, they said there was a computer glitch and the order got lost??? Customer Service said they would get it delivered. Called back at 6 PM when I got home, was told it still hadn't been resolved, but to call back in two hours so that I could talk to a supervisor who would have updated info for me. Called back at 8 PM and was told the girl was wrong, no supervisor had any info for me. I was told I would definitely get them today before 7 PM. I left an alternate address across the street from me so that there would be someone home to get the flowers.
I called at 6 PM when I got home because there were no flowers delivered. Spoke to two different girls, still no flowers. I was told to wait until 7PM and then I could call the "Priority Unit". This is a $60 flower order +shipping and tax. What the hell is going on? Three days late and all they say is they are sorry and they will credit her $20 on a future order. Worst service ever!

I placed a flower order for my Mother in law online on Thursday, May 7th at 11:00 am and selected the "same day delivery" option. My order totalled $49.36. I received confirmation that the order was placed. The funds were immediately withdrawn from my account. The day went on and the flowers were never delivered. I contacted customer service that evening and waited on hold for 30 minutes. Once I got a customer service rep on the phone, she spoke very broken English. She apologized for the order not being delivered but never gave a reason as to why. She changed the delivery date to the following day and assured me the flowers would be delivered the very next day between 9:00 am and 7:00 pm.
The following day came and mid-day the flowers still had not been delivered so I attempted to track the order online with the order number I was given. The tracking status showed: "exception found" and under scheduled delivery it read: "N/A". I tried to call customer service once again (while at work) but had to hang up after 55 minutes on hold. Later that evening, I made another attempt to contact customer service, as the flowers had STILL not been delivered and their 9-7 window was coming to a close. I waited on hold for another 35 minutes. I got a customer service rep similar to the woman I had spoke to the previous day. Terrible English - squinting trying to understand her. She confirmed that the flowers had not been delivered and again, did not give me a reason as to why. She simply offered to refund my money.
I told her I absolutely wanted a refund as well as the flowers to be delivered. I was placed on hold for 2-3 minutes only for her to come back and tell me that the flowers could not be delivered. I asked, "Why can't they be delivered? What is the problem?" I was placed on hold for another 2-3 minutes when she came back on to tell me that, "the flowers you chose were not within the price range to be delivered to the recipient's address". I then asked her why this was the case with their company but Proflowers hasn't had an issue delivering flowers to that address the past 3 years. She could not explain any further. She continued to tell me that the cost of the flowers was not within the price-range for delivery to that address. Mind you, rolled into my total was $14.99 service fee for delivery.
Later in the conversation after receiving a lot of heat from me regarding the fact that there was nothing informing me of this when I ordered, no disclaimer, no attempts to contact me after the order was place- nothing... she finally told me that they could not find a florist in the area with the availability to deliver the flowers.
I confirmed that she cancelled my order then had to ask when the funds would be credited back to me and her response was "7-10 banking days". Even though, it only took 15 seconds to remove it from my account. She then offered me a $20 savings pass for my next order. I told her that I would not be needing the savings pass, as I have no intention of ever using their services again. I also told her that I would be writing to the BBB as well as submitting my review as many places as possible to deter people from using their services as well. All she could say the entire time was "I sorry for that".

One says delivered at 6:30 pm, the next that just came in 20 minutes ago says delivered at 8:30 pm, which is outrageous and wrong to lie like this. Returning the money is not an option that you want to use with me. The occasion is already ruined, my mom's was almost ruined. So something your company is doing wrong, and am going to take it as far as I can to avoid this from happening again to anyone else. And unless your company makes this right to all those that this may had happened to, it will cost you - I will build a website to see who else had this happened to them, and go from there...
This is unprofessional and unforgivable on Mother's Day... I call and some guy that sounds like robot from the Middle East gives me vague answers, someone received it, BUT WHO, where, at what address - did the local florist lied and said he deliver to receive your payment and kept it or sold somewhere else. If so, that's criminal and prosecutable in our state. Yes am angry and disappointed...and yes I will not rest until this is made right not just for me, because it happened in Orlando at my mom's and in Hallandale at my house. Two different florist deceiving? Unlikely. The only answer is your center screwing up and covering their tracks with false deliveries...and I will not rest until I get to the bottom of it. I paid for my item, and have spent two phone calls (about an hour and a half in total time) and still have nothing. The customer rep even told me "Well, I'm not the person who helped you last time". Should who helped matter at this point? I thought I was dealing with a company, not individuals. This company is a joke and regardless of what offer they send my way, I will be purchasing my flowers somewhere else moving forward. A discount or coupon, at this point, would just be an invite back for a horrible experience. I'd rather pay regular price somewhere else and actually get what I paid for, delivered for when it was requested.

Ordered flowers for Mother's Day -- guaranteed delivery. Had to agree to a possible Saturday delivery. Sunday at 5:45 I received an email that my order "made its way" to a local florist. 3 minutes later I received an email that delivery was attempted but unable to deliver. She was home all day. She called and they promised delivery between 7-8 pm. Never showed up. All they offered me was a $20 card for another purchase. This woman deserved flowers on Mother's Day!! Then after being hung up on 3 times by customer service they said they would re deliver the appropriate flowers and take back the 2 roses yesterday... they never showed of course and the customer service department is flooded and they won't reimburse... ** this company. I will never buy flowers from them again and I will make sure no one else does simply because they took my money and ran instead of attempting to rectify the right way and refunding my money. The worst flower service ever! Placed an order for a Mother's Day delivery on Saturday the 9th. The order was confirmed and the payment was made on an American Express gift card that was maxed and tossed in the garbage the next day after use. When the flowers didn't get delivered I called 1-800Flowers for them to tell me they didn't have the flowers that they ordered so they refunded the gift card (which is no longer in my possession). When placing the order, you're required to fill out contact information. At no point in time did they ever make an effort to contact me and let me know about the situation. I had to call the day after. I asked to speak to a manager and was put on hold for 30 min for a rep to tell me that the manager was too busy. But they could offer another delivery at 50% off.
What? After I just lost $80 from the first one?! I wasn't even asking for money back. All I wanted was flowers to be delivered to a very special lady on Mothers Day and they couldn't even do that. They stole my money, provided no service, and the only way to make it up to me was if I purchased another arrangement at a discounted price. What a joke! It's been 2 days and the manager that was supposed to return my call still has not. They sent an email to me last night saying flowers would be delivered today. That never happened. Never again will I order from here, and I would advise anyone who wants a dependable flower delivery to do the same. 1800Flowers is a scam.

I made the Mother's Day flowers delivery order for my Mom on the Wednesday, for the actual delivery on the Saturday (one day before Mother's Day). Because she lives in a fairly smaller community, I thought that was LOTS of notice and a day before florists would have crazy deliveries on the Sunday. But no, after three calls and hours of waiting on hold with 1-800 flowers... no. They really have no control over anything and can't give you any remedy. No delivery even until 9:00 pm on Mother's Day. My mom got nothing for Mother's Day, even though I spent $100.00 and hours on the phone. A terrible company with no remorse.

I ordered these flowers online after being warned by many of my friends not to that the flowers always come in bad shape or they won't get delivered on time. I paid extra to have them paid on a Saturday the day before Mother's Day since we were leaving on Mother's Day for vacation. The person that is taking care of our house while we were gone sent us a picture of the box of flowers that was delivered 2 days late. They now are useless to me, my boys, and my wife so we all got screwed out of Mother's Day. I will never use this company again and I will definitely tell all on Facebook how bad your business is and I will have my friends do the same. I've asked for my money back. You say you can't give it back because it was the same day that the flowers were to be delivered but yet the flowers didn't come in till two days later. Bad company - two thumbs down.

I placed an order for two dozen of roses for Mother's Day. I was told they were out for delivery on Friday and I did not receive the roses until Monday. When I received them it was only one dozen. They were wrapped in tissue paper with the stems of the roses already cut, they were cut so short that the roses fell in the rose where you could only see the top of the rose in the vase. It looked as if the items were just thrown in the box with yellow tissue paper on top. I will be safe from this point on and only purchase flowers from my local flower shop.

I have been dealing with my April 21th order since it was delivered. I have attached a picture of what I ordered (left) and what the recipient received (right). As you can probably see, these don't look anything like each other. I called the customer service number on Wednesday, the 23rd in the evening to ask for a redelivery because I did not spend all that money on a regular bouquet. The rep told me that a new bouquet would be delivered on the following day and I was compensated with a $20 coupon. I called back on Friday evening, 25th because there was no new bouquet delivered. The rep that I talked to this time filed a report stating that she would have the florist call me within 24 hours to resolve this issue and possibly give me a refund.
I call back today. The representative talks to the florist on the phone and stated that she could only give me a 50% refund because the customer was satisfied with the bouquet they got. I told her anyone would be happy with a surprise flower bouquet, but they did not know that they were supposed to be getting a bouquet with a carnation white dog (that looked like their dog) in a cute baby vase. If they had known, they would probably be very upset by that. She stated that the florist and the system told her there was a redelivery on the 22nd, but of course that wasn't true because the original delivery date was the 23rd. At this point I am frustrated and upset that I paid for something that I didn't want. I expected 1-800-Flowers to be better than this. I expected a full refund. I'm done jumping through hoops for something that was supposed to be a simple process.

I placed a $150 order for Mother's Day. When my mom hadn't gotten the order by 6PM on Mother's Day, I checked online. Online, it said the order was fine, but it didn't provide tracking details. So I called Flowers.com, at which point they informed me that notes in the account record said that the florist's truck had left the flowers behind and could not return back to the store to get them. They said they tried to call me (they had my number and my mother's number) but did not get through, and did not leave a message (the representative later indicated that because I had paid through PayPal that they may have tried to phone PayPal instead of me) and so they just cancelled the order.
I received no communication about this cancellation, and in fact, while I was on the phone with them and looking at the order online, it still appeared to be on its way. I asked them if they could just deliver the order on Monday (better late than never, right) and if they could provide some kind of compensation for this trouble. Both were met with "no" - the first because many of the florists take the day off the day after Mother's Day and the second because they said they'd already provided a refund (a refund for which they'd provided no actual proof except the representative's word that it had actually occurred).
I asked if I could speak with her manager and was met with "no - she understood my frustration, but nothing could be done" as if all of this was happening outside of them and not because of them! I informed her that because she could not prove that they'd actually cancelled the order, and that she would not escalate, that I would have to choose to never order from them again and to poorly review them in public. I am not the sort of person who regularly writes reviews, but this customer service was atrocious (she even agreed that it was bad!) - it seems like something is terribly wrong with their customer service and approach to communicating with their customers in general. My advice: FTD.

I understand that things can go wrong. But when things do go wrong, I expect the company to do all it can to make things right. On the Thursday before Mother's Day, I ordered Mother's Day flowers for delivery on May 9 (the day before Mother's Day). On that Saturday, I was notified by email that delivery had been attempted, but no one was home. OK, things happen.
The email said that 1800Flowers would work with the recipient (my mother) to schedule a delivery time that would be convenient. As of 6:30 pm, no flowers and no call to my mother from 1800Flowers to arrange a convenient delivery. I called the Customer Service number provided by 1800Flowers. It (of course) suggested I go online to check the status of the order. Did that, and it said "exception found", but gave no update regarding expected delivery.
I pressed the correct number to speak to a Customer Service Rep, and waited for a few minutes. The young man I spoke with was very cordial, but also very difficult to understand. (I do not object to speaking with someone whose first language is not English, but I do expect anyone in Customer Service to speak clearly enough to be understood). I provided the information he needed, and he gave a rather rehearsed reply -- that the flowers were waiting to be picked up, and that they should be delivered by 9:00 pm on Mother's Day. With all the companies offering flower deliveries, I think I will select one next time that is a bit better at Customer Service.

Hey, everyone gets to screw up once, right? I figured a large outfit like 1-800-Flowers would make things right if they screwed it up. Last year they failed to deliver flowers to my mom on Mother's Day. I called to complain and they got a bouquet out the next day...albeit, it appeared rather hastily thrown together, but it was a large bouquet and I was glad that they try their best to make things right.
I used them again this year. Well, once again, no flowers for mom on Mother's Day! When I called I got somebody for whom English was obviously a second language. I have nothing against anyone who speaks English as a second language. It was obvious the customer service person was struggling to fully understand me. I said, "I'd call back," and I got a second person, who was unfailingly polite but I could tell a few nuances were being missed. It is obvious they are outsourcing their customer service calls. This just lends itself to the frustration, because you have a feeling that perhaps the customer service person doesn't understand that Mother's Day is a pretty major holiday in the United States.
I explained my dilemma and upset with having two years go by in a row where my mom gets nothing on Mother's Day! The customer service person offered to call my mother and give her a personal apology, but at first told me I would not be refunded...nor would a second bouquet be sent out because they had a FedEx record of something having been delivered. Well, that's all good and well. I'm sure something was delivered somewhere. But my mom still had nothing and I had paid for the service, and all we were going to get was a phone call? I really flipped out, I was furious!
Finally, after much back-and-forth, the customer service person checked with her supervisor and told me they would send out a bouquet, though it would go out tomorrow. I remained frustrated because I had to go through all that haggling and back-and-forth to get any sort of satisfaction. It left me with a really bad taste in my mouth and I was really upset that for two Mother's Days in a row my mom had no flowers delivered to her. I realize it's not the end of the world, but 1-800-Flowers you had one job to do!

The customer service is HORRIBLE, and they violate the terms in their agreement to benefit them. It almost seems like a scam. STAY AWAY, DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM, NOT RELIABLE, and OVERPRICED.

I decided to send my wife flowers from our 4-month-old daughter for her first Mother's Day. Everything was fine, as I ordered several days in advance. I requested the flowers be delivered to the school my wife works at on the Friday before Mother's Day. I had to pay a 20.00 service charge, which I had assumed was a delivery fee. The day came and went and my wife came home empty handed. I tried to call 1-800-Flowers 3 different times and was on hold all three times because the operators were all busy. I waited about 15 minutes each time and eventually gave up. I sent an email to customer service, because it was advertised that there would be a speedy response. I've still not gotten a reply a day later.
Saturday comes and I get a phone call from 1-800-Flowers. Not about my complaint. It was to inform me that the flowers didn't get delivered. I may have never figured it out. I had a hard time understanding the lady through her accent. I voiced my complaint and at the end of it was asked if I wanted to have them delivered my home. No, it was meant to be a surprise for my wife's first Mother's Day. Cat was out of the bag at this point. I asked for my money back and the lady says "Well it'll take 5 to 7 days." AND??? Needless to say, I will NEVER use their service again. Ever.

I ordered a fruit and chocolate basket for someone special to be delivered on a specific day and received an email confirmation that it would be delivered on that day. On the day of delivery, I received a message from 1-800-Flowers stating that they do not have the address and information needed to deliver. Double checked my information and they did have it.
Sent three customer service requests for clarification on what they needed. The answers were unrelated to my questions. For example, Me: "Please see the delivery information in this communication. Do you now have what you need to make this delivery?" 800-Flowers: "Just letting you know that we've received and processed your request to change the delivery date on your order." Me: "I didn't change the delivery date. It should be delivered today." 800-Flowers: "At 1-800-FLOWERS.COM we appreciate all comments, positive and negative, from all of our customers. The feedback you have provided will be carefully reviewed and considered."
I was on hold for an hour and finally talked with someone who informed me the basket was not delivered because they did not have an address. Then she looked at the order and saw there was an address and I was informed that the basket will be delivered right away. Needless to say, the basket was not delivered. Mistakes and delays happen, but robot customer service is just wrong. I have no idea if and when this will be delivered.

I ordered Mother's Day flowers for my mother they were wilted when she received them. The driver who delivered said she had to call the florist, who acted rude toward my mother about the arrangement. Told my mother to bring them back and that she didn't have enough drivers to deliver flowers today Friday May 8, 2015! My mother didn't know where the florist was located. Why would my mother have to return the arrangement herself! If you didn't get it right the first time why give you another chance, and the arrangement I ordered for $60 looks like a $34 arrangement. The florist on Mulberry Street in Elizabethtown Ky shouldn't represent 1-800-flowers.com because they cheat the consumer who expect a quality product they purchase.

I ordered flowers for my elderly mother to be delivered the next day, which their website said was available. The flowers did not arrive. I went to the website. No record (surprise surprise) of the order number they emailed me. My bank account shows a pending charge. I called the number. Waited on hold for 35 minutes. Someone picked up (I could hear call center noises in the background) and hung up after a couple of minutes, but said nothing. I called back again, waited on hold for nearly 40 minutes. The same thing happened only after 4 minutes of me hollering hello hello, someone said "ooops" and hung up. Guess I will be disputing this with my bank. NEVER EVER USE THIS SERVICE.

My daughter and son-in-law ordered lilies for Mother's Day 2015. They were delivered by FedEx. HOWEVER FedEx did not even knock on my door, rather left the box of lily "buds" in front of my door in the Florida sunshine! I did not even know they were there until a neighbor told me I had a flower box. Upon opening the box, I found DEAD "BUDS" that were supposed to be lilies!! I called 1-800-Flowers only to have a woman answer that had a poor command on the English language and then offered up a $20 credit to my son-in-law's credit card and to resend the order the following Monday/Tuesday "after" Mother's Day! So, I ended up with a CHEAP VASE with DEAD LILY BUDS!! Save your money. Do not order from this company!

I feel scammed and I say shame on all of you!!! I would prefer you to send the UPS back to my home and pick up your flowers and I am entitled to a refund. Immediately!

Yesterday, I left a bad review on this website about 1800FLOWERS.COM, and to my surprise, they responded immediately. Today, I was contacted by **, of Gift Club Services, and she apologized that my order did not meet my expectations. She offered me a partial refund, and a savings pass discount on a future order. I am completely satisfied with the company's generous offer, and especially happy that this issue was resolved so quickly and efficiently.
In all fairness, I would now like to give the company a five-star rating for their exceptional customer relations skills. Their prompt response, their willingness to resolve the problem, and their fairness in their offer, have changed me from an unhappy customer to a happy customer. Well done!

1-800-FLOWERS.COM is a TOTAL RIP-OFF!!! I was enticed by a Paypal offer to save $15, and ordered a floral arrangement, from the eligible arrangements listed, to send to my niece **, in Broomfield, CO. I ordered them on 5-5-15, and had them delivered on 5-6-15. I ordered for $39.99, plus delivery, plus tax, for a total of $59.46!!! I am appalled, and embarrassed by the puny arrangement that was delivered to my niece - definitely not worth the money I paid for it.
Upon further investigation, I have found over 1,200 complaints online about 1-800-FLOWERS.COM, so I guess this is just business as usual for them. You don't get what you think you are ordering, and you are paying too much money for such poor quality and quantity. This is a consumer nightmare - online ordering at its very worst. I am sorry that I could not get my photos to upload, to show you, but believe me when I say, you can get a nicer, fuller bouquet of flowers in your grocery store for less than $7.00. I used to work in a reputable florist shop, and I know firsthand that there were not even $5.00 worth of flowers in this pitiful arrangement.

It was my mother’s 83rd and probably last birthday, so on May the 3rd I ordered her and paid for a flower birthday cake to be delivered on May the 5th. What happened next was a disaster. I get a phone call from a person from another country not speaking very well English saying that they could not delivery the flower birthday cake I had ordered. Then I explained that I have paid for this and they needed to deliver this item.
I then received a call from a lady in Ohio. I explained the situation and she said no problem and she called the florist in my mother’s area and all was set. THE FLOWER BIRTHDAY CAKE WOULD BE DELIVERED ON MAY THE 5TH by 5 pm. Sounds good right? NOT SO FAST!!! The flowers did not show up by 5 pm so I called 1-800-Flowers only to get another FOREIGNER telling me that the flower birthday cake would be delivered by 7 pm, HMMM. By 8 pm the flowers had still not been delivered and again I called and got another FOREIGNER that told me that my mom’s flowers would not be being delivered.
So now I'm very disappointed and even a bit angry because these ** liars left me no options. I had already missed my mother's 83rd birthday. 1-800-Flowers and all the other US Based companies that have outsourced their customer service abroad to foreign countries should be boycotted!!! ONLY SPEND YOUR MONEY WITH A COMPANY THAT STILL UNDERSTANDS CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE US SHOULD BE FROM THE US.

I have used 1800-Flowers many times in the past. I'm very disappointed in the fact they have changed the sizes of the vases from 11 or 12 inch to 5 to 7 inches. Now their large items are the size of a small item but at the COST of a large item. Customer Service and operators are most of the time foreign speaking and don't understand much English. They have outsourced their operators to get government subsidies. One more thing their 14.99 handling and delivery charges are KEPT BY 1800-FLOWERS. The florist makes your arrangements and absorbs the cost of delivery! My solution was to go to Safeway locally - they have beautiful flowers that last longer and friendly people. Long distance I call the florist directly. Tired of 1800-Flowers!

Against my better judgment I called 1800flowers to order Mother's Day blooms. The online order went smoothly until the total showed a $30 shipping fee. I called the 800 # to question them. The foreign woman offered me free shipping so I told her to complete the order. She kept putting me on hold for a variety of reasons, i.e. confirming the arrangement. After 25 minutes, 3 holds and a $15 increase to my "free" shipping, I asked for her supervisor. She stated that the supervisor was taking a call and I'd have to hold. She returned about a minute later to tell me the supervisor was still on a call; by then I was disgusted and told her to cancel the entire order. The language barrier and 5 second delay didn't help matters. Never, never, never again.

On April 26 I ordered flowers online for my mother who had just entered hospice care. I wanted to make sure the flowers arrived before the Mother's Day rush, so I selected the next available delivery date from the 1-800-flowers online order calendar. I got an order confirmation in email which I should have examined closely. When the flowers had not been delivered by late afternoon May 1, I went online and found that my credit card was charged, then went to the 1-800-Flowers website to track my order and discovered that it would not be delivered until May 13! I called 1-800-flowers. The lady told me that that's the date I chose online. She urged me to place future orders over the phone--talk about confidence in one's system!
She then gave me the option to move the delivery date up a week--but for an additional $20 charge. At that point I told her to cancel the order and that I would never use their service again. She quickly came up with the clever idea of cancelling the original order (with refund) and then creating a new order with the earliest possible delivery date: May 9. I let her do that. I will return to update in a couple of days after I verify that the refund and new charge are in order, and that the flowers were delivered. I'm going to try a different service next time.

Thank you for the response. I was mostly upset not that it wasn't delivered ( I can understand the issue), so much as the fact that I was told it was delivered when it wasn't. Then communication with customer service made me think I was only getting a refund on the shipping and an item of lesser value would be delivered. The actual outcome was much better (full refund, nice item delivered, and vouchers).
