I am really disappointed with 1-800-Flowers service and lack of communication. My mother's day flowers were suppose to be delivered last Wednesday, the 4th of May. They were not. When I call their customer support on Friday they told me they talked to the florist and they would be delivered by the end of the day on Friday. Still no flowers, so I called on Saturday the 7th of May and was told by their customer support that the florist promised they would be delivered before mother's day.

On the 9th of May my mother in-law still has not received those flower. I called up their customer support and in broken English they told me the best they could do was give me $20 off my next order and they will email me the voucher. Today is the 10th of May and I still don't see the voucher in my email. I feel like I was scammed by this company, 1-800-Flowers had no problem taking the money out of my bank account the same day I ordered the flowers on the 30th of April!!

The worst is that 1800-Flowers does not deliver on Sunday! Mother's day and father's day always falls on Sundays. Secondly I placed an order on Saturday morning for earliest delivery which would have been Monday morning. It's day end and no hope of Wednesday either.

My mother-in-law answered the ring at the gate of her residence and asked who wanted in, the man said he had flowers for her. They never arrived. She went around the small complex... nothing. I wrote to customer service who sent an unending number of automated messages to my email every 2 minutes... telling me the delivery had been made. My mother-in-law called and was told she'd get a redelivery. She waited through Tuesday. Still no flowers. I got stung for over $70 and the worst of all, I ended up offering my beloved Mother 4 days of aggravation instead of the Smile this company promises. Doesn't even deserve the 1 star. This is cyber theft!

ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY! I gave 1-800-Flowers.com a try to handle an order for me. I tried another popular online florist and had problems. I didn't think 1-800-Flowers would do any worse than simply not delivering flowers because they did not have the delivery address correct in their system. I entered it correctly and this other company just sat on the order until I called to ask where they were. This company did a much worse job handling my order. I called 1-800-Flowers.com and placed an order over the phone with a live agent. They took my order (order number **) and informed me they would be delivered on Saturday for Mother's Day. They verified they could fill the order with the local florist. I boarded a cruise ship for a short cruise trusting 1-800-Flowers.com would take care of my order.

Today, when I arrived, my mother sent me an e-mail asking if I was OK. I never have missed calling or sending my mother a card or flowers on Mother's Day and she was worried about me since she had not received anything from me. So, I called 1-800-Flowers.com and used the automated system to track my order. I knew something was wrong when I entered the order number and the system transferred me to a live agent. I spoke with Michael (employee ID **) who checked into what happened. He came back on the call and told me the local florist cancelled my order because they "did not have the materials to fill the order"!! Wait - I was told on Thursday that the local florist could fill the order! So why didn't 1-800-Flowers do ANYTHING to fix the situation? They did not try to contact me. They did not try to contact my mother. They did nothing! So when I asked how they were going to fix the situation, Michael told me he would process a refund!!

UNACCEPTABLE! After going through all this trouble I expect 1-800-Flowers.com to resubmit the order and give me a refund as a good faith step to fix the situation. So Michael puts me on hold and comes back and tells me the local florist only has a vase that says Love, Hope, Joy on it and can fill it with yellow roses. I asked for a supervisor but was told the supervisor was too busy to speak with me. So this tells me there are SO MANY CUSTOMERS CALLING TO COMPLAIN THE SUPERVISOR COULD NOT TAKE TIME TO SPEAK WITH ME? I asked for the supervisor's name and employee ID. I was given the name of Raffy and the employee ID is **. I asked Michael to have Raffy call me within an hour thinking that he could take a few of his (or her) precious minutes to try to calm down an upset customer. Well, I never received a call.

I know there are others that have lost a lot more than $75 on their order, but to blatantly ignore an order and not even attempt to notify either party (sender or recipient) of a problem is beyond belief. I suggest for anyone reading this to save yourself the headache and look up the local florist in the area where the recipient lives and deal directly with them. I just can't believe a local florist would "run out of supplies" on a big day like Mother's Day and if they did, why doesn't 1-800-Flowers.com have a backup florist?

I'm incredibly disappointed with the horrible service I received from 1-800-flowers. I placed an order for a delivery date of 5/7/2016, wanting to make sure the flowers got delivered one day before Mother's Day. The order was not delivered on 5/7/2016. I called on Sunday morning and was told that the order will be delivered that day by 9 pm, because of a busy day due to Mother's day. After the flowers were still not delivered, I called again at 10pm. After waiting 30 minutes on hold, I was told that florist was unreachable and that the order would be delivered the next day with high priority with shipping costs refunded.

The flowers were not delivered on Monday either. I called 1-800-flowers again and was told that the flowers will not be delivered that day but they will try again for Tuesday. This is absolutely unacceptable. After a lot of wasted time and still no flowers, I finally canceled my order. I'm very disappointed and unhappy with this service.

Being that I live about 300 miles away from my mother I wanted to send her something special. When you think of flowers being delivered, who's better than 1800-flowers, right? Wrong!!! I ordered 70$ flowers plus charged an $18 service and delivery charge for garbage. I ordered the large, which was the biggest and fullest bouquet and was supposed to look like the image I have posted but instead received the next picture I posted. The flowers I received looks like they cost no more than $5 and as if a 5 year old put them together. They were also put in the wrong vase and without a bow.

After calling into their customer service department, I was refunded the shipping fee and was told they would be redelivered the following day (today). Well, nothing was ever redelivered to her. Terrible service and was told there were no managers available to speak to on more than one call to them. Looks like it's time to find a new flower delivery service. This is the only complaint I have ever posted but feel it's more than necessary for this company. I will continue to post negative reviews and let people know never to order from them... Bad business!!! Please do not order from them, I warn you now.

I called on Saturday when delivery arrived. Plant was smashed and the planter wooden box was cracked and the word bloom was supposed to be cut out in the wood, instead it reads 3LooM. I spent 30 minutes on hold only to find out I needed to speak to someone else for a full refund. They assured me someone would call back. Three days later no return call. I called again on Monday night - once again 30 minutes on hold. They stated they could give me a 50% discount. I told them "No. I would like to send it back." They then said they would have to talk to the person who sent the flower. I said "That makes no sense." I am the customer and I am extremely unhappy with the product.

GUESS WHAT HAPPEN NEXT? You guessed it. There was a sudden disconnection of the conversation. That's correct. They hung up. And at the beginning of the conversation I made certain that they had my phone number in the event they disconnected me. You guessed it again. They did not call back after rudely hanging up on me. I will try again tomorrow to make an attempt to get just a little customer satisfaction. So much for 1-800-Flowers.com and their "100% satisfaction guarantee" and "putting a smile on your face."

Horrible company and customer service. Completely unreliable!! I ordered flowers for my MIL for delivery on Mother's Day. They were not delivered on Mother's Day, and I called at 5pm the next day when they were still not delivered. The representative told me that the florist was unable to fill the order so they cancelled my order. I was not notified of this. They claimed they tried to call but I had no missed call or voice mails. She told me they were refunding my money back to my credit card but it would take 10-15 days to be credited to my card. I said this was completely unacceptable that my MIL did not receive a gift from us and then they were holding our money. When I asked for compensation for my Mil, they told me that I could place another order at full price to be delivered to her. Ridiculous!

Ordered flowers two weeks ahead of time. Florist substituted all flowers except roses with other colors and other flowers. Bouquet is supposed to be orange, deep purple and fuchsia. Pale, sickly, yellow carnations substituted for Peruvian lilies. Red flowers put in for fuchsia flowers, and small white flowers for deep purple flowers, and also put in very light lilac colored stringy flowers.

I spent three phone calls, two hours, and was told by two different call centers, Philippines and Jamaica, a different florist would send over a correct bouquet today to my mom. It has not arrived. If you had zero stars, I would give them zero stars. I live five miles from their corporate headquarters and have purchased from them for twenty-five years. It has never been about the money, but getting something fun and sweet for those I personally am unable to deliver myself. To my friends who may read this, do not order flowers for me from them ever, even if they are to say goodbye to me. This company used to have a great business model, now wish they would get off Long Island. They are an embarrassment to other businesses here. Please try and employ personnel that are fluent in English and do not all sound like they have drunken the Kool-Aid and are reading a script. I would use the term "parroting", however, parrots are highly intelligent.

I called the company that evening and they said that the florist didn't answer but they would have the flowers redelivered the next day and send me a $20 voucher. I waited the next day and STILL didn't receive the flowers OR the voucher. We called again and they blamed the issue on the florist. They offered to have them delivered again but at that point we just requested a refund. We'll find out in a few days if we really do get that refund back. DO NOT EVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY.

I received three dozen long-stemmed roses (for Mother's Day) late Friday afternoon. While initially beautiful, within 24 hours all the flowers were fully opened with more than a third wilted, the flower heads limp and hanging. Following the directions implicitly and keeping a cool indoor temp in my house, I was shocked at how quickly they disintegrated! I was also heartsick knowing my daughter had spent a large amount of money buying these for me. What a disappointment! I contacted their Customer Service and the best they could offer was a fractional refund with coupon for a future purchase. Oh boy!

Looks like a lot of us are in the same boat! My mom's flowers were never delivered. I can understand if they are behind in deliveries during a busy holiday... They should have not offered the option for delivery on Mother's Day. How disappointing! They stated that I would receive an email several hours ago for 20% off my next order. Needless to say, I haven't received anything. Moms are so important. It means a lot to be able to show our appreciation by sending flowers. So when the flowers don't arrive, it's a big letdown for the Mom.

UPDATED on 5/10/2016: This morning when I spoke to 1-800-Flowers.com personnel, they stated that the flowers would be delivered by 7PM PST. (Flowers were supposed to be delivered on Mother’s day). The flowers were never delivered today. I called 1-800-Flowers.com again. They stated the florist cancelled the order. At the beginning of our conversation, they tried to say that I cancelled the order. I did not. My poor mom stayed home tonight waiting for these flowers. No refund, no $20 coupon to arrive via email for the mistake. Now I am supposed to receive a phone call from 1-800-Flowers.com at 9AM EST Tuesday, May 10th. I am beginning to feel like maybe this is a scam site pretending to be 1-800-Flowers.com because they appear to have taken my money illegally. I sure hope this can get resolved. Thank you.

I placed my order April 27th and paid. I ordered The Playful Pup arrangement for Mother's Day. I had picked May 6th as my delivery day due to the fact that I saw that ya'll delivered between 9-7p. My mom would be working 7a - 7p that day. I continued to check the tracking and it always said pending delivery confirmation. Friday came and went with no flowers. I tried to have her stay at work late to stall her thinking maybe the delivery driver was just late. She got very very upset with me and finally left work. No Mother's Day flowers.

I never received a call or email, info was provided. I called and called had a long hold, and emailed on Friday with no help. Saturday I saw that someone responded to an email and said that they would have the flowers delivered that day (5/7/16). So I called to tell them that on Saturday she would leave work at 5pm. It needs to be delivered before 5pm since they failed to deliver the day before and they then told me that that arrangement that I paid for on the 27th is not available. They told me that they would send another arrangement on Saturday since they failed to deliver them on Friday (day of scheduled delivery). They gave me a new order number.

I got another email with the new order number and the new arrangement. They promised no extra charges since I already paid and promised they would arrive at her job before 5pm due to the fact that she would leave at 5pm. I got off the phone and looked at my bank account and noticed a $95.00 charge. I had already paid for the flowers on 4/27. So this was 2 different charges. I called them back and after holding for 20 minutes I had to hang up due to driving & being busy.

I got a call from them 10 minutes later and they told me that they did not have an address on file. I told them that I had provided all of this info in the first order. I gave them the address once again. I told them that all the information was included in the first order. They gave me a new confirmation number when they had changed the arrangement and failed to put her address into that order. They put the other info into the new order, they just did not put the address.

They then told me that no one could deliver any flowers to my mom that day as well (Saturday). They asked if they could charge me ANOTHER $77 to deliver flowers Sunday. They told me that they had refunded the initial charge of $68 and I would get that within 3-5 days. And they did not know why I was charged the $95 and they didn't see it on their end, but I can pay again for the flowers to come on Sundays (2 days late).

I told them that since I had paid $68 (which I had not received back yet), PLUS a $95 charge that I could not pay ANOTHER $77 as well. They offered no other solution. So I literally was in tears and crying at how upset and frustrated I was after dealing with all of this. I had to call another place here in town and pay AGAIN to have flowers made and sent to her.

It was the worst online/customer service experience that I have ever had. It was a horrible experience and I will never order from this company again. I will let everyone know how my experience was with this company. I ordered this because my coworker ordered the same puppy arrangement and hers were delivered after 7pm and they sat outside until the next day and she was also upset. I had to pay for flowers three times and no one offered any solutions to the problems that they created.

They also promised me to add a free balloon to make up for the fact that flowers were not delivered on Mother's Day.

The next day I called over 8 times (!!!) and all I was hearing is that they are sorry and that they will be definitely delivered. (THEY WERE NEVER DELIVERED.) WOW! I had the exact same experience. Only difference was that I requested for a refund when they told me about the 9pm delivery (which was unacceptable). I ended up going to a Vons and buying flowers there instead, which turned out perfect and for a fraction of the price. Lesson learned. I will never do business with 1-800-Flowers again and I will make sure to tell as much people as I can to stay away from this fraud of a company.

Long story short, I placed my order on Thursday 5/5 for some Tulips, Balloon, and chocolates (about $100). Received a call from the local florist the following day saying there were no tulips and offered me some cheap "assorted flowers" instead. I declined and told them where to get tulips in the area. On Saturday 10am, I received a delivery confirmation email from 1-800-Floweres, but nothing was delivered. I called customer service and was told it would be tomorrow instead. The next day, Sunday 5/8, I received an email at 10am saying that the flowers will be delivered soon and that their florists are "working hard".

Most of the passed, so I called back at 5PM. From there, I was told that the flowers would be in by 9PM and they would waive the delivery fee and give my a $20 gift card for next time (And trust me, there will be no next time). Luckily, I declined and just requested for a refund - and even that was a pain in the butt. The customer rep told me that she did not have authorization for a full refund, so I was offered a partial instead! - Pathetic. She put me on hold again to look for a manager to authorize a full refund - no luck, so she offered to call me back. Before hanging up, I made sure to be called back later that evening and she ensured that I would be receiving one. No callback.

Whew. Called back this morning 5/9 and just now finally put this whole nightmare of an experience to rest. Oh, and they offered me another $20 gift card for "future use". I told them to keep their $20 and just give my money back because I will never to business with them again. On the bright side (barely), I was able to use a military discount. It's just too bad these people are crooks who are just out to take advantage of anyone. No shame in their game. 1 star is more than generous.

The day before Mother's Day, I received a lovely bouquet of flowers. It was clearly addressed to me at my address. The message on the inside was obviously intended for someone else, as it was signed by two {albeit loving} people I'd never heard of. I called 1-800-Flowers, with tracking order and PO number, asking for the correct message so that I'd know who sent the flowers. The clerk didn't get it. She kept saying she couldn't reveal that information, "it was confidential." I asked to speak with a supervisor, but she said they were all busy with other customers (I'll bet!). I tried to repeat and reframe the problem in different ways to help her understand that the problem was a clerical one at 1-800-Flowers, and I wanted to know who the real sender was. Problems happen, mistakes are made... particularly at high volume times. But they can be fixed, and apologized for. But she never got it. I will NEVER use this service again.

I ordered flowers for my mother for Mother's Day. They were supposed to be delivered on Saturday or I selected that Sunday was also OK. I got a confirmation email with a confirmation number. The flowers were not delivered. I tried to check the order status online and I got returned to the check order page. When I called this morning, I was told that my order was cancelled because the florist did not have the flowers to make the arrangement I had ordered. They did not contact me in any way to let me know this. I could & would have easily made another choice. Why is it ok to cancel an order and not let the buyer know??

I called to check on the order this morning & the person I spoke with spoke very quickly and was difficult to understand because she did not speak distinctly. Her customer service skills were very poor. She could have offered to assist me in placing an order today, rather than the flippant response of "I'm sorry". What has happened to decent communication and common courtesy when it comes to dealing with a paying customer? It seems as though the current customer service thought process is that "there is always someone else who will do business with our company so if we make a huge mistake it doesn't matter". There was no offer to try to amend the situation. I trusted that when I spent my money with this company that they would be able to complete my order. With their non existent communication my 84 year old mother who lives out of town received nothing on Mother's Day.

I ordered the Playful Pup basket and my mother ended up with some wilted daisies, a couple lilies, and one tulip. I called customer service yesterday and they promised to resend the flowers as well as send me a $20 gift card via e-mail. The customer service representative told me to ask that my mother stay put to receive the flowers. My mom waited until ten o'clock at night. She received nothing. I dont know which is worst, the fact that I paid for overpriced flowers that my mom never received or the fact that my mom stayed home waiting for a basket of flowers. I am currently on the phone, for the second time in twenty-four hours. It has been an hour and I am still dealing with this nonsense. DO NOT ORDER YOUR FLOWERS THROUGH THIS COMPANY.

She initially said they tried to call me at 7 AM. I told her that I hadn't even placed the order at 7 AM. She then said they were going to call me at 8 AM, but it was too early so they had a note to call later. What was later? It was already 8:15 PM? I did not receive a call at all. They deducted delivery charge and will deliver on 5/9. They shouldn't have taken any additional orders if they could not fulfill. Horrible service. From the moment I logged into the site, it was annoying. I should have known not to order from them. Every click went to another confusing page rife with upselling attempts and other ads. Whenever I set a "don't bother me with this" flag and went to a new page, the setting would be lost and I'd have to set the flag again. Sometimes just scrolling would lose all the data I'd typed on a page. The ordering process was also annoying.

Once I had finally managed to place an order, I went to a competitor, ProFlowers, which had a much more helpful and less annoying website. When I came back to email to find a message saying my order had been placed, I followed the link for problems and clicked on the "if you want to cancel" link. Apparently the request was accepted, but the order was not cancelled and I ended up with two bouquets being delivered. The most generous reading is that the site was poorly enough designed that they left it unclear that my cancellation was no accepted. Given my other experiences, I'm willing, even inclined, to believe that they just ignored it.

To add insult to injury, when I asked for the flowers to be delivered on Sunday, they insisted on being allowed to deliver on Saturday if necessary, which of course it was. ProFlowers accepted and honored a Sunday-only delivery. Bottomline: leave 1800FLOWERS and shake the dust from your feet. Order from ProFlowers: prices are comparable, and even if they are a few dollars more, it's worth it for the timely delivery and lack of confusion and aggravation.

I ordered Flowers to be delivered for my mom for Mother's day. I ordered them on the 5th to be delivered on the 6th. On the morning of the 6th I received a call stating there was a problem with my order. I called back and the agent told me that the florist didn't have the product I ordered. I told the agent to go ahead and substitute the order with something comparable. He put me on hold for 15 minutes. When he came back to the line he stated that everything was fine and they were going to substitute the arrangement with something else. We hung up and I assumed the flowers were being delivered.

On Mother's day I called mom and asked about the flowers and she stated she never received any. I called 1800 Flowers again, after a 24 minute wait finally spoke with an agent. She looked up my info and said that the order had been cancelled, that is why there was no delivery. I asked to speak to a supervisor about their error. After waiting another 10 minutes, I finally got ahold of a supervisor... or so she said. She said that the substituted items were processed wrong so they just cancelled it and ordered a refund for me. I replied that I was never notified about any cancellation. I proceed to tell her how upset I was, cause if they had told me it was cancelled or couldn't substitute the flowers I could have arranged to have them delivered in time for Mother's day. She agreed it was their mistake and offered to have them delivered the next day... for a discount.

I told her, the flowers were supposed to be for mother's day, now she didn't get them. Secondly, why would I order flowers from them if they couldn't get my first order right. She said "sorry but there is nothing more that I can do but offer refund". I took it as an "oh well... sucks to be you!" I felt they could've cared less that they made a Huge mistake with my order and didn't offer any way to fix it other than to re-order with A DISCOUNT. After reading the other reviews this seems to be a common practice with this company. I will never use again and will use all available social media to express my disappointment! Also, it is an Indian call center and I couldn't understand half of the things they were saying!

These guys are running the biggest scam in town. They get away with it in most cases because most senders don't ever see the flowers and the recipients are not likely to complain not knowing what it was supposed to look like. In my case the $95 order was to contain flowers with a measurement 17", they ranged between 8-11'. There was no arrangement, just 25 tulips all jammed like sardines into a tiny cup that was nothing like the pictured product.

In addition to the flowers being almost half the size and in a container that was too small, there was also no ribbon and the card with personalized message was hidden. It turned out to be stapled inside the brown paper bag the flowers were delivered in. They did however place a %10 discount coupon front and center on the arrangement where the actual card should have gone. Apparently they're more interested in the next sale and not so concerned with delivering the arrangement that was promised.

When I called customer service, the gentleman from India told me the only thing he could do was to give me a $20 gift card. I informed him that not only were the flowers not properly arranged but they didn't meet the size specification on the website. When I presented his options 1) they provide a full refund or 2) I dispute the charge and they deal with the chargeback, they choose option #1. I didn't order flowers to get a refund. The whole point was to provide my wife with an awesome Mother's Day arrangement that showed her how appreciated she was. Now that opportunity has been missed. Never again 1800flowers.com.

Called them on Mother's Day to inquire and was told the local florist couldn't fulfill the order. I was offered a refund and a $20 gift certificate. Furthermore, after I emailed them, I received 3 IDENTICAL reply emails with fake foreign names signed at the bottom. This is an e-commerce company doing business in 2016 - in the same space as Amazon, Zappos, etc. Breathtaking failure.

To summarize, here's why they're an awful e-commerce business: Website doesn't reflect up to date product information, which allowed me to place the order in the first place. There was no follow-up communication via phone or email. Tracking information didn't state that the order was not available or wouldn't be shipped. Just said "N/A". Supposed refund of the order wasn't communicated by phone or email. Only resolution offered by your service rep was to call the recipient and apologize??

After waiting for a rep. for 25 minutes (for flowers, not the IRS) she told me the delivery time is til 7 pm and I should wait until then. Since I've been waiting for the past five hours, I asked if someone needed to be home for delivery. She put me on hold to verify something again (maybe my simple question). When she returned she told me my order has been cancelled since this morning! She then said either I called or someone called me earlier to do so! This was my first time talking to this company since I placed my order online!

Yet they took the $140 out of my account anyway. I was so upset about this mistake that was obviously made on their end. She said I'll get my money back in three days, but that is all she can help me with. No offers of resubmitting my order, or later delivery. I felt horrible for disappointing my mom. 1-800-Flowers.com is the WORST flower delivery website out there - DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I tried ordering flowers from them last mother's day and the flowers never got delivered and I was never notified by the company. I only found out after asking my family if anything ever came and they said no. I called 1-800-Flowers and they said the order had been cancelled by the local florist, but when I asked why I wasn't notified of the cancellation they didn't really have anything to say and just offered me a $10 voucher for future use.

I swore I wouldn't use them again after that but I tried again this year thinking they probably would've changed that policy by now... nope. Literally the EXACT same thing happened - ordered flowers last week, got the confirmation email, credit card was charged, order was rejected by the local florist, and I was never told. 3 days have passed and still nothing was delivered so I called today to ask about the status and they told me it was cancelled. When I asked why I wasn't notified, 1-800-Flowers customer service said it wasn't their responsibility and that the local florist denied the order, not them.

Now it is too late to make other arrangements for flowers to be delivered by tomorrow for my mom, so she won't be getting any flowers for Mother's Day. Thanks for RUINING this day for my mom. You've lost a customer for life. And, after reviewing the comments below, it seems like you'll actually be losing a lot of customers for life.

The whole reason this company exists is to allow people to order flowers on their website with the expectation that they will be delivered by a local florist anywhere in the country. It seems only logical and fair that should the order be cancelled the customer would at least be notified, but that is not the case. Do not use this company unless you want a lot of hassle over the phone and you like being disappointed, angry, and ultimately at a loss.

She been waiting all day until 30 minutes ago and still no delivery. You guys have ruined this for the special moment.

My sister graduated and I sent her flowers in name of my mother that passed away and she never got anything. Not just that, she been waiting by the door all day. This is ridiculous. You guys have phone numbers. You can call and give a courteous time for delivery instead of the all day wait, a website with wrong information. I am looking for my money back, a full refund on this and I will never again use your company or recommend anyone to it.

I ordered a Playful Pup with Balloon to be delivered to my mother. When she got the arrangement, it did not look anything like what was on the website, it did not come with a balloon, and the greeting card was missing a name. I am so unhappy with their service. I called customer service and the gal took forever to respond with long pauses on the phone. She insisted that I did not order the balloon and that I let her call my mother to personally apologize for the wrong card. Why would I let someone I do not know call my mother, and why would I let her when I know she was not the one who wrote the card.

All she wanted to do was send me another arrangement with the balloon. My mom had already got the messed up arrangement, so of course I did not want another one delivered. If this company would have wanted to keep a customer coming back, they would have refunded my money and apologized for the problem, not keep making up excuses. I will NEVER use 1-800-Flowers again.

My sister and I wanted to surprise our mom with a big, bright, beautiful bouquet--we spent $74 total (including an add-on balloon and a $20 'service' charge they tacked on at the end) on the large-size Garden Bouquet in the image below. You can see what showed up. This a duller, smaller, lackluster version of what we ordered. It is NOT a $74 bouquet. Next time we will be ordering directly from a local florist.

I made the mistake of ordering flowers for Mother's Day from this disreputable company. I ordered them (at an outrageous price for the record) to be delivered on the Thursday before Mother's Day to my mom's work. They did not arrive on Thursday. Thursday evening I called and they apologized and agreed to have them delivered to her home on Friday since she was not working on that day. It should come as no surprise that they are not being delivered Friday either. After 7 phone calls, yes 7, the florist at first claimed that they had to delay the order to Sat because the address changed (Because THEY DID NOT DELIVER WHEN THEY PROMISED THEY WOULD).

Then a manager called them and come to find out they didn't have the flowers needed for the arrangement and I could choose a new bouquet, but no way to happen before Sat. I now have no flowers, and I have to wait 3-7 days for my money to come back to me. That was all the money I budgeted for Mother's Day. Now I have no money to get her a gift at all. I will never buy flowers from this company again. They do not communicate with the florists, they do not verify and they certainly do NOT keep their word.

Update 5/12/16: This is a follow-up to my earlier review... it has since gone downhill... I ordered flowers to be delivered at my mother's place of employment for Mother's Day. I scheduled them to be delivered on Thursday May 5, 2016. They did not get delivered. She was not working on Friday May 6th, so 1-800-Flowers said they would have them delivered to my Mother's home on Friday instead (Even though it was not what I wanted to do. I wanted the flowers to go to her work before Mother's Day). They were not delivered on Friday either.

When I called asking about the status, I was told the florist claimed since we changed the delivery address (DUE TO THEIR ERROR, NOT MINE) they would not be able to deliver until Saturday. After more back and forth between 1-800-Flowers and the local florist, the real problem was the florist did not have the flowers in the arrangement I ordered. So, instead of saying from the start that they did not have the flowers I picked out and ask me to pick another arrangement they FLAT OUT LIED about what the delay was.

I cancelled my order. Let's be honest, there was no way I believed them when they said Saturday delivery would happen. My original purchase was for $58.97. I am being refunded $54.98. They have not given me a credible reason for why I haven't received the $3.99 Mother's Day extra delivery charge. Other than they are thieves. I had 3 separate representatives tell me they were refunding the 3.99. And each time they seemed to think they were the first person I spoke to which means they are lying about that as well. I have made 15 phone calls to 1-800-Flowers regarding this order. I am officially done with their placating and false promises. YOU DO NOT GET TO KEEP ANY OF MY MONEY YOU THIEVES.

They woke her up at 7 in the morning, while she is sick, to discuss MY frustration. Further, I was supposed to get JetBlue miles out of it. They gave me half the miles. My wife recently opened up a small flower shop in Idaho. After working in the flower business for 30 plus years, she decided to follow her dream. Somehow she managed to get hooked up with Bloom Net which is owned by 1-800-Flowers and used by several different internet flower services such as AvasFlowers, FromYouFlowers, JustFlowers, to name a few.

What the consumer does not realize when they order online, these multi-million dollar companies charge you for the arrangement pictured (which most are fake silk flower arrangements taken by professional photographers) plus a $15.99 same day service fee or in some cases more. They then send the order to a local florist whom is a member of Bloom Net. The florist pays anywhere from $199.00 to $799.00 a MONTH to have the privilege of receiving these orders. 1-800-Flowers takes a 27% of the cost of the flower arrangement off the top, plus they keep the $15.99 service fee or any other fee they charge at the time the consumer pays for the product.

This is a typical breakdown of the local florist cost for a $40.00 flower arrangement: 27% comes off the top to Bloom Net ($29.20 to the florist). Then the florist pays $2.75 transmission fee on each order ($26.75 to the florist). The order also includes a $5.00 delivery fee for the local florist to deliver the flowers ($21.75 to the florist). Other fees for Bloom Net, daily breakdown per order per day is $7.25 which leaves $14.50 to fill the $40.00 order. It cost approximately $12.50 for the florist to fill the order (cost of vase, ribbon, and flowers). That leaves the local florist around $2.00 profit to help pay the taxes and cost of running their own business.

The real kicker is that the florist has 2 hours to refuse the order (it is then sent to the next florist on the list in that area) or they get charged $2.25 up to the full $40.00 amount for not taking the order. A lot of orders are sent during all hours of the night which leaves the florist stuck with the order which may be up to a 75 mile delivery. To top it off the order (usually in the $30.01 to $39.99 range) gets passed around during the day and the florist may get that same day delivery at the last minute, and can't make the specified delivery time.

1-800-Flowers has the online flower market tied up and with local grocery outlets adding a floral department to their stores the small, brick, and mortar flower shops are verily hanging in there. I hope this information may help those consumers that have legitimate complaints understand what the local florist actually gets. The best bet for the consumer is to call (Google search for name and location) and buy directly from your local flower shop.

After three hours of the package being delivered and my girlfriend not mentioning anything about it, I finally decided that as much as I wanted this to be a surprise, I had to ask her about it. She went all over the place looking for it to find it on top of boxes that were meant for the trash.

I also submitted a complimentary message to the recipient, yet nowhere in the package did it come with that message. If your service is going to be overpriced, at least do your job correctly. On top of all that, the picture was very deceiving. What came in the package looked absolutely NOTHING like the picture. Needless to say, it was my first AND last time ordering from this service.

I've never used this service before. My mother was very sick in the hospital and I live remotely and wanted to send her a really special bouquet of flowers until I could go to visit her. I found the most beautiful arrangement I could on the website and asked for the largest size. I didn't care if it was over $100 because I really wanted to bless my mother. When she sent me the picture, I could only describe my response as angry, disappointed, and EMBARRASSED! I couldn't believe I had paid over 100 dollars for a bouquet that looked like it came from the grocery store! In fact, I have gotten more beautiful arrangements from the store for only $20. In fact, I've gotten 2 dozen beautiful roses for that price at my local grocery store many times. I couldn't believe I wasted my money.

The one online showed lots of roses and lilies. The arrangement was full and tall. The one she actually got was mostly leaves and greenery with a few roses and carnations thrown in. It was sloppy, cheap and flimsy looking with a cheesy bow that looked like something from my kid's stuffed Easter bunny! I feel I must warn others. I thought it was a reputable company, but after reading other reviews, I found people have had similar experiences and even worse! (Dead flowers, wilted flowers, no delivery at all, etc.). Unacceptable.

Why they think they can charge so much, I don't know! At the very least, I feel I must share that I called to complain and I demanded a 75% refund (since it looked like it was worth about 20 bucks or so, I was willing to pay that amount at least). They did give in. I honestly think that because people are sending remotely through them, most of them will never actually see the final product and the local florists can be cheap and stingy. There should be accountability between the company and the local florists. Or, at the very least, the pictures should show how cheap the shoddy the arrangement will actually be!

It was totally flat on top with no height like shown in your picture and looked wilted! What is my recourse? I strongly suggest you never use that florist again and send a reprimand. When I checked the status of delivery, the automated message said they were scheduled for that day. They still did not arrive so the next day I called customer service. They were rude and offered no resolution other than a refund and an explanation there were no florists in the zip code provided. Had I not called I feel strongly they would not have reached out and kept my 85.00. My daughter's birthday passed with no flowers from her parents even though we ordered them six days before her birthday. Shame on you 1-800-Flowers!

I ordered a flower arrangement on Feb 9 to be delivered via overnight priority shipping (at $19.99 shipping charge) to arrive on Feb 13 for Valentine's day. The 13th came and went with no flowers, on the 14th I called customer service to see what the issue was. The rep was helpful, but could only tell me the arrangement for some reason never shipped. She offered to refund the shipping (for some reason only $14.99) and have a substitute delivered the next day.

The substitute did in fact arrive, but looked nothing like the arrangement picture. Now I fully understand there is going to be some difference, but quite clearly I had received the leftovers. Fed up, I called customer service again to ask for a refund. Despite never getting the first order, only being refunded partially for the shipping, they only offered to refund half the cost, and give a $20 credit, as if I'd give them my business again. It's now March 5th and I've yet to receive even the half refund I was told I'd get. If this is a representation of their service, I cannot imagine how they manage to stay in business.

I received an order for my wife on 02-14-16. First I want to say that I was supposed to receive a different arrangement 02-13-2016 but that didn't happen. So after talking to customer service they adjusted the order and arranged a delivery for today. The order was supposed to be for 12 long stem roses instead I received a different arrangement. Keep in mind my wife hates white roses and that is what was sent, and not what was described when the order was adjusted. She hated the arrangement altogether. She would have liked the arrangement you were supposed to send or even the one that should have arrived on 2/13. But no, you send red and white roses. This is not acceptable. On top of that you get the freaking card name wrong.

My wife is upset and I'm pissed. I want my money back, and I know $60 of it was paid with gift card but I don't care. I want a full cash refund. Your company made mistake after mistake and neither me nor my wife are happy. I contacted customer service numerous times through email and was told I would be issued a full refund and I would see it on my next billing statement. I was never told in any email that a portion of the refund would have to go back to a gift card. The email responses implied that the full amount would be put back on my credit card, so that is what I want.

My husband ordered a miniature rose plant for me for Valentine's Day. It arrived two days before the confirmed delivery date, soaking wet, and in a cardboard box. The plant was guaranteed to have 10 blooms: this one had one opening bloom and 9 closed buds. It looked like a promising start but within a week, the one bloom shriveled and died without opening fully, and the remaining buds stayed closed and within a couple of weeks shriveled and died. Leaves yellowed and curled and fell off, and the bud stalks shriveled up and turned brown at the bud end. The plant appeared to be diseased or suffering from root rot.

I called 1800FLOWERS to complain that the potted plant had died, but the customer service agent I spoke with ("Corona" with a thick Spanish-speaking accent) told me there was nothing she could do. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, she told me there were none around and I could call back later, but her attitude was dismissive and superior. I told her that was okay and asked for the name and address of the CEO, but she told me it was private information. Needless to say, we weren't going anywhere. I thanked her and ended the call.

About 15 minutes later, I called the 1800FLOWERS number again and spoke with "Xena" (Asian, I believe), who, to her credit, said she wanted very much to help me with the problem. Unfortunately, a few minutes into the call she managed to disconnect me. I choose to believe it was by accident, but my gut tells me I'm getting the runaround.

This is a completely unsatisfactory way to conduct business. The flowers were $54.98, not the kind of money we throw away. Worse, it was the first time in years my husband has ordered flowers for me and they died, leaving him feeling wretched and somehow guilty. And THAT makes the whole thing worthy of a consumer complaint. 1800FLOWERS isn't just messing with people, or with their pocketbooks, they're messing with people's emotions and that's just the last straw.

My mistake, I had to update the note before finalizing the purchase, but I did not realize that the entire order resets itself and the date changed to a week later. When I contacted them on 1/25/16 to find out why I hadn't received a delivery confirmation yet, they explained that I chose the date of 3/2/16, but that they could attempt to get it there within the next 24-48 hours. After realizing my initial mistake, I agreed and asked them to send me a confirmation if they were able to get it worked out.

A few hours later, I received two emails from two different CSRs. One said they were not able to get the bouquet delivered before 3/2 and offered me a $20 off certificate. The next said that they had tried to contact me on "1/28/16", three days AFTER the day I was actually talking to them, to notify me that the arrangement I had chosen was not available and that a comparable arrangement could be sent in its place.

I spent $80 with taxes and shipping and they're playing games? Now my recipient won't receive the gift until a week after it was ordered, and the likelihood that the bouquet is the one I WANTED sent is currently up in the air. This is the 2nd bad experience I've personally had with them, and my husband had one as well. Third time is the charm. You'll never receive another red cent from myself or anyone I know.

My husband, unknowing to me, placed an order for two dozen roses to be sent to my office the Friday before Valentine's Day. When the Roses arrived I was totally surprised as he has never sent flowers to me and we have been married for 31 years. When the roses were opened, several stems were broken, and many of the roses and the leaves were wilted. My boss even mentioned how "sad" the roses looked. My husband called to ask me if I had received a delivery from him and I said yes. He asked how the roses looked, and, although I wanted to say they were absolutely beautiful, I had to tell him although I appreciated his thoughtfulness, the roses were not worth what he most likely paid for them. I think I hurt his feelings.

My husband was not aware the roses are actually delivered in a box wrapped in plastic and the recipients have to take the flowers out of the box, cut the leaves away, and place the flowers inside a vase. They are not delivered a very "special" manner. My husband called 1-800-Flowers customer services and explained my disappointment and the customer service representative and he said the representative was apologetic and offered to send more flowers the following Tuesday. The roses arrived to my office on Tuesday, but although this time the stems were fully intact, the stems were covered with thorns and the roses were again, wilted and appeared to be old. I left the roses in my office and did not take them home because I was embarrassed and feared I would hurt my husband's feelings.

My husband asked me why I did not bring the roses home, I could not tell him the truth that the roses were not very pretty. I just told him I wanted to leave them in my office to enjoy them. I politely asked my husband to not send me flowers again because it was too much trouble. In fact, I love receiving flowers, but I will NEVER recommend 1-800-Flowers to anyone. I am considering to send a letter to the Better Business Bureau, but have not completely made up my mind. I have noticed there are many negative comments on the internet. I wish my husband had read those negative comments prior to placing an order with 1-800-Flowers.

I ordered and paid for flowers to be delivered to my mom on February 17, 2016. I received an email saying the flowers were delivered but when I asked my mother about it the next day she had not received anything. I called the company number (1-800-468-1141) and asked about it and they told me that the flowers were delivered. I called my mom again to see if she had received anything and she had not. I once again called the 1800 number and explained to the lady what happened. She called the florist to see what was going on, the florist claims that they called the number on the order and "the person who answered said to leave it outside the door."

The number on the order is my number and I can 100% guaranteed you that the florist didn't call me, I can provide the call history to my phone straight from T-mobile if necessary. I have no idea what happened, but those flower were not delivered. The lady from the 1800 number asked me if I'd like them to resend it. I said yes but only if they deliver it to the right place and not leave it outside of any door if no one is home. I confirmed the address twice to make sure they have the right location. Overall I am extremely upset with my experience with this company. I was basically called a liar without anyone actually using the word "liar" and I don't appreciate it at all. I don't recommend it to anyone, you are better off going to buy flowers from a store and taking it to your loved one yourself. Horrible customer service.

Let me just explain the entire issue. I purchased a small arrangement for my wife on the 8 or 9th of February for delivery on the 12th to her office. Since I was traveling on business I was relying on this purchase as most travelers do for Valentine's Day. So the 12th arrives and I'm actually excited to get the text from my wife regarding the delivery once received. When landing on a flight I checked my email and text with nothing from 1-800-Flowers or my wife. It is nearly 5 pm and my wife leaves at 5.30 pm. So I put a call into 1-800-Flowers and I am assured they are on the way to deliver them right now. So I call my wife and lie to have her stay a bit later for some stupid crap. I had to make up all for a late delivery. So 5.45 pm. Wife: What's up. Me: Did you get 'em. Wife: Get what.

Me thinking, "Well great. So much for that surprise." Me: Honey never mind I'll talk to you in a bit. Me calling 800 Flowers…NOW I PISSED. 1-800-Flowers, you do one thing…deliver flowers. "Sorry sir. Here is our canned answer and we are so sorry…blah blah. We will deliver tomorrow. We will refund the delivery fee and give you a 30.00 Gift Cert." (I don’t even want to do business with this company so it could have been a 2000 Gift Cert.) Best part of this so far is the local company says they delivered at 5.36 to my wife. WELL guess what, I own part of that business and have access to the CCTV system. So I get on CCTV system and guess what…NOBODY delivered anything. I also watch my wife and other employees leave.

NEVER DID A FLOWER COMPANY EVEN ATTEMPT a delivery. I archived the proof. 1-800-Flowers…we will deliver tomorrow. I asked that they PLEASE get delivered by around noon as she only works 1/2 day. They GUARANTEE this will be done and more canned BS. So Saturday comes. I have just landed on my layover at 3 pm. No delivery verification email. No text from wife. I call 1-800-Flowers AGAIN. They tell me the company delivered flowers yesterday. DO YOU NOT NOTE CALLS/Accounts. They offer to have another company deliver on Tuesday. What good is that. I get into town at 8 pm and head straight to Hallmark which believe it or not is CLOSED. So drugstore. Looks like someone set a bomb off. Nothing to pick from for wife.

At least not anything I would even remotely give someone I care about. Valentine's morning I get my card and a nice gift. My wife gets nothing. So, I have never been so disgusted in a company's customer service on one of the largest days of their business model. Amazed. Did I not spend enough, did 3-4 days ordering prior to delivery not give them enough time. All I was offered was a sorry, a refund (never received) and a gift cert to do more business with a failure of a company. Well thanks for screwing with my marriage and making me look like an ass who doesn’t give a crap. Not to mention the roasting I got to endure at our family dinner.

I also wish I could give zero stars. My mother's birthday is Feb 17th. I placed an order on the 16th for next-day delivery. However, when I received the order confirmation, I realized I placed an order for the wrong item. So, I called to cancel the original order and planned to place a new order for the correct item. The agent on the phone cancelled my order, and when I gave her the product code for the item that I wanted, she said it was not available for next-day delivery, and that it would be delivered on the 18th. Because my mother's birthday is the 17th and I did not want a belated birthday delivery, I told her that would not work and I did not want to move forward with the order. I gave her the product code for a couple other items to see if they were available for next-day delivery, but none were available.

The agent recommended a different product that was available for next-day, but I was not satisfied with the arrangement... therefore, I said I was not interested. The agent was really trying to push me to order the item, but I told her to just make sure to cancel everything because I would just purchase flowers elsewhere that would guarantee delivery on the 17th (I even told her I would probably go out to the store myself). She said okay, and then we ended the conversation.

Great! I ordered flowers elsewhere, which were delivered by 10am on the 17th. My mother was happy! On the evening of the 17th, I received an email from 1-800-Flowers: "Your order has been shipped." I opened the email and saw that the arrangement that was available for delivery on 18th was the one that was shipped. THE ONE THAT I SAID WOULD NOT WORK FOR ME BECAUSE I NEEDED DELIVERY ON THE 17th. I was furious and called customer service. The woman I spoke with seemed to have a hard time understanding the situation. She confirmed twice with me the order number and that it was delivered. Yes, I clearly knew it was delivered, but I did NOT give confirmation to place ANY order. Unbelievable. They said they would refund charges on my credit card so I wouldn't be paying anything. That, however, does not reverse the fact that they are incompetent. I will never order from them again.

Any real florist knows you can leave flowers out of the water and expect them to arrive in good shape. When I told the rep no one would be home that day to receive the flowers I asked about Friday. I was told, "No." I asked why I could not receive the flowers on the date I wanted, but I did not get an answer.

I asked about delivery on Saturday, was told, "Yes," but it would cost me an additional $29.99. I told the rep to just forget it then, and I want a refund of what I paid. He said he was sorry, and that was the end of the conversation. A couple minutes later the rep calls me back to tell me they will reduce the delivery fee on Saturday to $19.99. I again said, "Forget it. I'm not paying any more money." I told him to just refund my money, then added I will never order from this company again.

I don't understand when you are on their website, why a person is allowed to have flowers delivered on a certain date, and they later call you and tell you that you cannot have them delivered on the date you selected. For God's sake, do not allow a person to be able to select dates in the future. Just have a block of 2, 3, days that you can have delivery. This surely is no way to keep customers. Does this company even know the definition of customer service? I am surprised they are still in business with their shoddy practices. Oh yeah, and I was offered a $20 savings pass.

I would like to say that they took the time to get back to me in a very timely fashion. They also seemed to care that it was a bad experience and did the right thing by me. So thanks a lot and I will be using your services again now that your customer service has resolved my concern. Thanks again!

After reading all these negative reviews I guess I'll just know better next time. Have scrolled through looking to write a review about how the delivery guy messed up horribly, how I wasn't notified till 2 hours after they were delivered, and how they sent a medium instead of the large I ordered. Even the florist that delivered after reading their reviews online makes it all make sense now. So much for ordering early to miss the rush. I ordered on January 29th and still got screwed, and my girl's Valentine ruined so thanks a lot. Like I said lesson learned and never again!!!

Not only did he have no way of tracking the order as he didn't get any email confirmation, and yes we checked all the spam folders too, they came late. AND THE FLOWERS ARE DEAD! When we called them last night the representative was rude and not helpful. It seemed as though I was inconvenient to her. Needless to say, I will NEVER give my business to this company and, seeing as I'm a hairdresser and have over 500 clients, I'll be telling everyone I encounter just how atrocious this company is! Even in line at the grocery store and I'll be posting it on all social media sites. I hope nobody else gives this company a dime of their money, especially for late, dead roses.

I ordered two gifts to be sent to my spouse for Valentine's day. One arrived on time - 2/12. The second was cancelled due to "a problem with the carrier". I was then promised delivery of a bouquet (their choice) on the 13th - and a 20$ gift card for the next purchase. I said "YES"! The substitute gift never arrived either - they said today (2/16) that there was no florist in that town but never told me that when they made the promise to deliver on the 13th. They left me a message on my voicemail but it was unintelligible (foreign sounding). I called them today 2/16 and was told the order was cancelled and I would get a refund. I will not use 1-800-FLOWERS.com again. They screwed up in the past once too! I forgave that - this is ridiculous. Poor service. THANKS!

On 2/5/16 I placed an online order for a plant to be delivered on 2/12/16. The charge did not go through correctly so within 6 minutes of placing the order I called 1800 and spoke with a pleasant woman who assured me everything was taken care of. No delivery on 2/12/16. On 2/13/16 I get an email saying sorry, it didn't get delivered due to a problem with the delivery partner. 'Respond to this email or call us ASAP to tell us if you want something else delivered tomorrow or a refund.' I reply "refund". I get a response to that email saying 'we're sorry but your delivery has been shipped and can't be changed. Thank you for letting us deliver smiles.' When I reply that I was responding to THEIR email, I get nothing. Then I get the exact same email addressed to Michael, with a different order number. Sorry, Michael, you don't know this yet, but your sweetie didn't get her flowers.

On 2/14/16 still no delivery. I check my credit card and the original WRONG charge is still there and no refund or credit. I call the company. 28 minutes on the phone but within about 5 minutes the astute representative says, 'let me put you through to the manager'. No manager. Rep comes back, on hold a few more times, no manager will talk to me. Are you kidding? Then I get transferred to the billing department. Yes, a refund in 3-7 business days. It didn't take you 3-7 days to charge my card, why to credit it? I'm not holding my breath because I have no trust in this company. I'm sure I will have to call the credit card company to dispute after seeing everyone else's bad experiences here. Wish I'd looked here first. I will never trust 1-800-Flowers with a delivery again. No smiles here or there, where the delivery was headed.

I ordered flowers to be delivered to a 1200 room casino/hotel resort. The flowers were going to an employee. I was told for four days in a row that they could not deliver because no one was home. I even sat in the lobby of the hotel from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm the original delivery date, so to say no one was home was an ABSOLUTE LIE. I had ordered 5 other Valentine arrangements at the same time that I placed the hotel delivery order. Only half of my orders were delivered. Again I was told no one was home. Again a LIE. My daughter took the day off from work and never left the house ever, for two days in a row. No one showed up with a delivery. This happened to me last year twice, as well. I should have learned my lesson. I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt because I had been their customer for close to 20 years--- before I even owned a computer.

I spoke with a supervisor and was ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY GUARANTEED delivery yesterday. The day before Valentines. She even told me the items were on the trucks that very second and would all be delivered yesterday but they WEREN'T. So even the supervisor lies. I called today to speak to a supervisor but the sales girl REFUSED TO GET ONE. I said I wanted refunds and she argued with me for 8 minutes before agreeing to give me a refund. 1-800-FLOWERS HAD GONE TO HELL. I always respected them for being a family run business that even included their disabled brother. This however is the straw that broke the camel's back. I spent thousands of dollars on flowers over the years averaging approximately $850 a year, but no more! 1-800-Flowers sucks!

I've ordered from this company twice and never again. The online experience is painless. The site is easy to navigate and order but that's where the joy ends. Their customer service is the absolute worst. I'll detail both contacts with them below. I ordered from flowers from them last year which wound up not getting delivered. The delivery date was a weekday so naturally no one was going to be home. Nowhere in the ordering process was it indicated that someone had to be home to sign for the order. When I got home and saw the delivery was not made, I attempted to contact them by phone. What I got was an automated response saying that due to the high volume of calls, I would not be able to speak to a representative. Really? Valentine's Day, probably the busiest day of the year for them and they don't adequately staff their customer service lines?

Anyway, after several calls, I finally managed to speak to a rep. They told me that the order was being fulfilled by a local florist and I would have to contact them. I contacted the local florist and was told that it was their policy no to deliver to an "empty" house so they can assure the health of the flowers. Again, nowhere during the ordering process was this spelled out. Tried to cancel the order with the local florist who told me I couldn't because the order was already fulfilled. So back to 1-800 Flowers who informed me that they could not do anything about this since it was up to the local florist's policy. Wound up disputing the charges with my credit card company. Now my biggest mistake was ordering from them again on Valentine's day 2016.

2016 - Flowers ordered the day before and selected delivery on 2/13. Trying to learn from last year's experience, I waited home all day to ensure that the florist could make the delivery. No flowers. Tried calling 1-800 Flowers several during the day and got the same lame recording that due to the high volume of calls they couldn't speak to me personally. So I sent 2 emails to customer service and they went unanswered. The following morning 2/14 made another call. Same recording. Second call placed, however this time, I selected the option that said my order was for a funeral and lo and behold, got right through. So on the busiest flower day of the year, they field calls for funeral orders but not Valentine's Day. Ridiculous.

The customer service rep goes on to tell me that they could not find a local florist to fill my order. They said they sent an email to me regarding this and I can say that wasn't done. I checked my inbox and spam folders - no email. And this is the best part. They apologized for the inconvenience and because of this, they would offer me a full refund. So they graciously would give me my money back for an order they never fulfilled? Laughable. The bottom line. I would never ever order from these people again. Customer service is the true test of a company and their willingness and ability to help customers with problematic sales. 1-800-Flowers has got to be the absolute worst customer service experience I have ever encountered. Just plain horrible.

I made five orders on February 1st to have flowers delivered early "on February 11th or 12th," for Valentines Day. One order actually got delivered, however 1 out of 5 is how many stars they got from me. My desire would be a negative 5 stars. I received immediate email confirmation that my orders had been taken: "We just received your order, and we'll get started right away." That is the last I've heard from them.

Now, let's talk Customer Service: Nightmare! One out of three agents spoke English clearly enough for me to understand (after repeated pleas to "Would you please repeat the last three words." I'm fairly well-traveled and speak two other languages besides English, but I could not--for all I tried--discern sentence content. The first agent hung up on me as I was patiently asking for a supervisor hoping for news, perhaps a late delivery. It was not the case. The third call got me to a supervisor--very polite, I may add--and all he could tell me was: "I've spoken to General Management regarding your order numbers, and they advised me that 'someone' will call you within 24 hours to tell you why your orders were cancelled."

Well, 'within 24 hours' will be Valentines Day evening, doing me no good at all. My inquiry as to why no one called to advise me that the orders had been cancelled was answered: "Someone' will call you within 24 hours to tell you why." This, my most frustrating online ordering experience ever. NEVER, EVER, CALL 1-800-FLOWERS!!!

Epic failure to deliver a product we purchased!!! We placed four orders for our grandchildren two weeks before Valentine's Day, giving 1-800-Flowers caution to let us know of any issues with the order. Here is the delivery day and one out of the four grandchildren felt left out because she did not receive a gift! We called customer service and spoke to two reps that were suppose to fix the issue and deliver on today ~ nothing!!! Called back again spoke to the Supervisor by the name of Jerry and she was very nasty and accusatory! Her method of resolving the issue was to place blame on us while mocking us. Jerry was nothing more than a bully that I could barely understand due to her thick accent. Jerry refused to refund our money and made it clear that problem was our error so they will not correct the problem.

I got angry and asked if they were located in the US. Her response, "Why?" I asked again and she said no. Therefore, I asked to speak to customer service rep in the US. She said it was impossible. After 20 mins. of having a horrible shouting match with this so called "customer service rep," I had to hang up the phone up on her!!!

Jerry calls back trying to make nice, which I knew was false humility because the moment she thought I was listening she went back to accusing us! She pretended she cared after she insulting us repeatedly!!! She gave us this spiel about being a mom, so she going to do us a favor by delivery on Tuesday, days after Valentine's Day! Like I said, damage is done and they failed to uphold their end of the deal.

I placed an order on January 22, 2016 for a delivery of flowers to my mother for her birthday. I knew I would be out of the country for her birthday and wanted to make sure she received flowers and a happy birthday wish from me. I scheduled the delivery for February 4, 2016 as her birthday is February 5 and I did not want her to think I forgot if the flowers arrived later in the day. I use 1-800-Flowers fairly regularly and have the passport membership. My spouse is in the US Air Force and we move a lot, making us unable to celebrate with our friends and family for special occasions, so we use flower deliveries as a way to send our love.

When I was able to get in touch with my mother on her birthday I was very surprised to find out that no delivery was made of the flowers I ordered and I did not receive any notification from 1-800-Flowers regarding a change in the status of my order. I called customer service on Friday, February 5 and was told that the order I placed was not available. Apparently notifying me of this update to my order was not deemed important. Instead of notifying me that my purchase was not available and giving me the option to change my order, 1-800-Flowers decided to just not deliver anything. The customer service representative told me she would contact the local florist and ask them to create a comparable flower arrangement to what I purchased and have it delivered by the end of Friday, February 5.

On Sunday, February 7 my mother still had not received any flower delivery. Again, I contacted customer service and on Monday, February 8 I received an e-mail stating that a delivery would be made by the end of the day. It is now Wednesday, February 10 and not only has there still not been any delivery of flowers to my mother, I just received another e-mail from customer service saying that a delivery will be made tomorrow, Thursday February 9. IF this delivery actually happens, that would make the original order 7 days late and completely purposeless as my mother and I are both very frustrated with the entire process. I've spoke to and received e-mails from four different customer service representatives and clearly no one can rectify this issue in an efficient or timely fashion.

I have officially requested a refund and have no need for a birthday delivery of flowers an entire week late. Not only is this a complete failure in their ability to provide goods that I paid for but it also a total failure from a customer service perspective. I have received less than satisfactory service from other companies before but their ability to resolve the issue and genuinely care about providing exceptional customer service keeps my business as a customer. Even though this is the first time I have had an issue with a flower delivery through 1-800-Flowers, the way in which this issue has been handled is the main reason for my review and decision to not use this company again.

So I waited and called back at 8:25 pm and was told the order had been canceled. They claim at this point it was done back on 1/30, which I am guessing the incompetent person I spoke with to update the card's message canceled the order and the person I spoke with today on 2/5 just made up something so that they wouldn't have to deal with my frustration. The person on the phone this evening who explained it had been canceled was apologetic. Unfortunately that doesn't help when the person birthday was today. Lesson learned, I will NEVER use them again!!

You would think I would learn my lesson after 1-800-Flowers failed to deliver flowers to a funeral in July. That's not a delivery that can take place "the next day." However, I tried again only to have 1-800-Flowers FAIL to even notify me that my ordered fruit bouquet was no longer available from the florist THEY contacted to deliver it. The only way I was informed of this was because I called to check the order status at which time a customer service representative assured me a local florist would absolutely deliver flowers in place of the fruit bouquet on my order date. A couple hours later, I called AGAIN to check the delivery status only to find that the flowers were NOT delivered either!

Lack of systems, processes, and people just doing their jobs left my 19 year old daughter with NO birthday wish from her family on her first birthday away from home as a college student. Instead of offering free deliveries AFTER the fact as a solution, improve your system of customer notifications of undeliverable items so customers would have TIME to arrange an alternate special delivery so loved ones are not left with NOTHING on their special or even emotional occasions. The only thing 1-800-Flowers ACTUALLY delivers is DISAPPOINTMENT.

I made a order online about 10 minutes after I wanted to change the order. I contacted customer service and spoke to someone whom I could barely understand. I asked him to change the order date and the message, he confirmed all the information with me and said I would receive an email confirming the information and order number as well. The next day my gut told me he probably didn't do it right, being that I never got the email. I called customer service again and was told nothing was changed. I'm livid at this point. It was 2 days before my order was supposed to go out. The lady was able to change the order date to the day I requested but wasn't able to change the message. It was horrible and an horrible experience so now my recovery will be getting flowers with a message that does not even match. I will never order from this company again. It was my first time and my last time.

The flowers for my birthday arrived the wrong day, 1 day after my birthday. There was no call to let me know they were coming. No one even rang the doorbell. Therefore, the flowers were left out on our porch in the freezing Chicago winter for hours. If we hadn't left the house and seen them as we backed out the driveway, they would have been out all night. It wouldn't be much better in the summer. The unopened buds were brown & spotted and falling off the next day. This company delivers flowers! These are not inanimate objects. What are they doing?

Surprise! I got to arrange the flowers myself! My husband had no idea he was not getting an arrangement. There are beautiful photos online with one of the two delivery methods in fine print below and no explanation of what that means. The honorable-advertising thing to do would be to put a brief explanation at the top of the page of the two types of orders. So I talked to a rep and they offered to replace the flowers. I was told which day they'll come & was told that no - I will not get a call to assure I'm home or even made aware that they are sitting out in the cold. I did receive replacement flowers on the day they said they would come. Again, there was no phone call or doorbell, but maybe I pulled them in at the right time. They seem to be lasting longer. Still, I cannot recommend this company.

I will never order flowers again from this company. I ordered a beautiful arrangement for my mother's funeral service. The day of the service - the day of delivery - at 2pm - they send me an email that they are unable to deliver. I call and speak to a representative - she states she is unable to access my file because it is in use by another customer service rep. She promises to call me back on my cell. I never received a telephone call. No flowers were delivered. And on top of all this - they charged me the full amount. $170.97. Now I am not only dealing with the loss of my mom - I am having to dispute the charge and deal with this charge that should have never happened. You shouldn't charge for things that are not delivered.

My sister ordered me flowers for my birthday which was supposed to be a surprise. Well... I got 3 missed calls from a blocked number which did not leave any voicemail until the last phone call explaining someone sent me a flower arrangement which was no longer a surprise to me. The delivery man on the phone said he could not find where they were supposed to be delivered. He asked, “was it an apartment building, a business or an office space?” Saying to myself “The address is on the building. Go inside and go in the elevator and press number 4 for suite 402.” (which was noted at the time the flowers were placed) but left no contact number for me to get in touch with him. Called the customer service rep and she stated that he marked the flowers as delivered. My job closed at 5:00 and no one signed for the flowers and they are still not here!

The next morning my sister wanted to see if I got my surprise and no nothing was delivered. I called your customer service number after I got the voicemail on 01/25 and was told that they would get in contact with the driver, nothing. I called again after not getting a follow-up call. They called the driver again and again still no answer. The next morning 01/26 I called and was given the run around. At this point I am very upset and my sister feels like an idiot for making me beg for my birthday gift. Once again I was told “I will get in touch with the delivery man that delivered the flowers and I will give you a call.” and guess what no phone call! Still waiting for my flowers. At this point I was tired to hearing “I will get in contact with the delivery man.” and once again hearing "He is not answering."

It's very frustrating if your delivery man cannot answer a simple phone call. Finally I got one person that was able to speak with a supervisor to get a new flower arrangement sent to my office. She verified the address and everything and it was correct. It is not 4:00 and I am still waiting for my flowers to come after I was told it would be delivered before 5:00. I must have called over 5 times to try and get a simple flower arrangement delivered to my job as a birthday surprise which was ruined! I am a huge fan of Fannie May chocolates but after this experience I will take my business elsewhere as well as my sister after this horrific experience. I can imagine what the flowers are going to look like. You think they would be more apologetic, nope. No sympathy at all!

I am disgusted with 1-800-FLOWERS. My patience have just run out listening to their promises. On 1/13/16 we called for a delv. of flowers to my friend's daughter Shelly who had been admitted to the hospital with possible heart issues. I asked if the delv. could be made the following day, they assured me she would receive the flowers before 5 PM. On 1/14/16, Shelly called us that same evening to inform us she was home telling us she had not received any flowers. I called 1-800-Flowers and they said they had not made the delv. but would send it to her home on Fri. 1/15/16. They apologized and said they would make everything right with even a nicer arrangement. I was fine with that.

On Sat. we received a message Shelly's husband had been killed in a auto accident. I called 1-800-Flowers to ask if the arrangement had been sent they said no it was still pending. I told them to cancel and send a Sympathy arrangement and delv. to the home on 1/21/16 which gave them plenty of time. They changed my flowers and our card and said Shelly will receive this at her home on Thurs. Today 1/23/16 I find out the flowers were never delv. When I called I was told "We tried calling you to tell you we do not delv. to that area". I have a answering machine and have been home. Now they said "We will try another way to get flowers to her". I said "Forget it the funeral was Fri. she does not want them. Just give me credit". The girl I was dealing with did not want to give me back my credit but my credit will be applied to my card in 3 or 4 days. I will check to see if it is there. I will never use this company again. I feel they are a big rip off.

That was perfect. The flowers were very beautiful. I think they did a great job. I noticed all the bad reviews after I made the purchase and got a little worried. I would definitely order from them again. The flowers were delivered in St. George, Utah so whoever they work with in that area really did a great job.

Following the death of my dad my classmates sent flowers to my home. Because we are in our final year of school, which are our clinical rotation, we are scattered all over the country. The class president sent flowers using 1-800-Flowers so that he could order them from his home in New Jersey and have them delivered to my home in Massachusetts. The flowers were originally delivered on a day in January when the temperature was about 10. Also, rather than the delivery service placing the box in our enclosed porch the box was just left out in the driveway. Unfortunately I wasn't home until midnight and when I brought the flowers in the house they were frozen solid.

I called customer service the following day and was promised the bouquet would be redelivered and she had me tell her a day when I would be home. I choose a day the following week. The customer service representative also took my email address and promised she would send me a gift certificate, which I also never received. The day the flowers were to be delivered I was at home all day, and even received other deliveries from UPS and FEDEX that day. However, no flowers.

I was home most of the following day as well, and that day received a package from USPS, but again no flowers.

I emailed customer service to let them know it had been 2 days since the flowers should have been delivered and I hadn't received them or any notification if they had tried to deliver during the short period of time I had stepped out to walk my dogs. The response I received stated that the flowers were delivered 2 days ago, with a time of 1 pm. I have responded to that email to state that no the flowers were not received. I will not deal with this company again, especially after reading some of the other reviews I have seen posted.

I placed my order then looked at these reviews and worried about it all day (I ordered late at night for delivery the next day). I just ordered flowers for my mom as a thank you, so if they didn't come on time, that'd be okay, but same-day delivery is pricey, so that would have had to be addressed. Luckily, though, I got a call around 3:30 PM on the promised day of delivery from a happy mom!

My first question was: "Are they ugly?" since I had seen the reviews on here of some terrible-looking arrangements. Thankfully, she said no, and sent me a picture. Well, the picture did not resemble the arrangement that I ordered whatsoever. I am SO grateful that whichever florist they sent the order to in my area made such a beautiful arrangement, but 1-800-Flowers has a problem with not delivering an order as promised. The flowers were beautiful, so next time, I will just contact that florist because it is absolutely RIDICULOUS and fraudulent to send a customer something completely different than what they ordered!

1-800-Flowers needs to get it together or shut down their "business." Too many people pay their enormous prices, only to be relieved that their product came but still confused as to why it looks nothing like what they ordered. My suggestion is to try a local florist who not only will deliver their promise but also be able to face consequences if they don't.

This big business is thriving off of scamming people and I won't be putting my money into it again. There are so many complaints, but the company must be so big that they can get away with scamming people. Thank you, 1-800-Flowers, for getting me my flowers, but your company needs to upgrade its integrity. In my picture, on top is what my mom got and below is what I ordered. Again, beautiful work by the local florist! But poor ability for this company to deliver a promise of a product that people spend their hard-earned money on.

I called and spoke with an agent who put out a re-delivery and offered me $20 off for my next order and will also follow up with an email confirmation. I never received the email confirmation for re-delivery nor confirmation that it was delivered. I called again on 12/20 and spoke with a "Sheika" who was very pleasant and helpful and guaranteed me a follow up email for a confirmation of our re-delivery order and a survey, plus a follow up phone call for the next day.

None of that happened and of course no delivery of the birthday bouquet. I called again today 12/23 and was hung up 3 time by their agents! I guess they didn't want to deal with my issue or was just hoping I go away! I called back and spoke to "Suzy" who placed a re-delivery order with another florist per my request. Obviously, the original florist is either out of business or don't give a **. As of today 12/23, my recipient still have not received her birthday bouquet! Today I received a "resolve" to my floral arrangement problem. A new arrangement finally arrived at 1 p.m. which was NOT FIRST THING IN THE MORNING AS PROMISED. But, the arrangement was beautiful with all the elements of the one on the website. It looks like a "Christmas Floral Tree"... Not a sad little half attempt at an arrangement. The saddest part, is what if that arrangement was sent out to someone else? This year I sent it to myself being too sick to decorate for the holidays and I really wanted something in my little in-law-suite and this is now the perfect item. Thank you 800-flowers... But why oh why... Do we have to get upset to get it right. It should be right the first time. The three images or the sad little floral arrangement, the sad arrangement with the resent arrangement, and then the advertised arrangement. So as you can see somewhere in there, one of these images just didn't fit.

    Original Review: Dec. 22, 2015

The frustration level is unreal when you see something online and order it. I order almost everything online, Christmas Presents, Birthday, Holiday Gifts, and there are some disappointments, but pretty much the value for items that I order and the price I have learned how to evaluate and make decisions and generally I am pleasantly surprised. Very few disappointments. This year I decided to order a Holiday Flower Tree and I did order the smaller item. My husband and I have an in-law-suite in our daughter's home. So we really didn't want to decorate and we had a little 10" Christmas tree, the kind you plant later. But we (I) wanted something more. When I saw this Holiday Flower Tree I loved the flowers, and greenery (pine) that draped to the bottom like lace with the pine to the table.

I knew it was only 19" tall and that was to be perfect. It reminded me of a Rocky Mountain Christmas, Oregon Christmas, and Smokey Mountain Christmas with the beautiful holiday evergreen. As you can see from the picture nothing even close. It truly looks like something I have seen sitting on a grave site. It is truly a sad little arrangement. The white flowers appear more white in the picture. They are truly a little yellow, dull white flower with yellow centers. Okay... as I said just sad. Thank you. Arrangement arrives, it is 17" from table to the top of the card. The top of the bow is about 15 1/2". The card is on a peak bringing the height to about 17 1/2" tall. There is no PINE, FIR, OR ANY KIND OF EVERGREEN DEPICTING A HOLIDAY TREE. It is some sort of leaf that looks like flattened balls. The arrangement doesn't even cover the top of the plastic bowl it is in and you sit and see 4 1/2" of plastic bowl. SO UGLY, UGLY, UGLY.

The beautiful red roses and carnations are only and ugly dark (deep blood red carnation) and white flowers are replaced with a yellow tinged ivory colored flower. Nothing like the beautiful white flowers depicted in the picture. THE BRIGHT RED MULTI-LOOPED BOW IS REPLACED BY a deep dark red bow that looks to be tied by a 5 or 6 year old. I know my 8 year old granddaughter can make better bows than this. The arrangement looks like one that you would set at a grave site where the plastic bowl would be thrown away after the holiday. Beautiful, fir, pine greenery with white and red Christmas holiday colored flowers with red balls was replaced with a deep grey ball that you have to look for to find in the arrangement. Not pretty. NOT HOLIDAY. So sad. :( SO THIS IS NO HOLIDAY FLORAL TREE.

I have never been treated so shabbily by a vendor in my professional career. I placed a website order as I always do for my friend who lives in DC. The first call I got from 1-800 was a young woman named "Tina." Note to self, outsourcing your call center never works well. "Tina" informed me that the driver could not find the residence. In this day and age of GPS on phones, how is that possible? At that point I told Tina to cancel the order. She said she would call me back.

"Tina" called again to say the driver did find the house but no one was home. Normally the gift is left at the front door or with a neighbor but "Tina" informed me that "they don't do that" which is not true because you did it last year! I said to cancel the order and she said she would get back to me. "Tina's" third call was to offer shipping for the next day at a reduced price. I told her to cancel the order as my friend would be working. She said she would get back to me. "Tina's" fourth call was to offer a further reduction in the price. At that point I lost my temper and asked to speak to a manager. I was put on hold for 10 minutes. Again, who does that these days?

I spoke to "John" who went through the EXACT SAME speech as "Tina." I stopped John about a third of the way through and demanded a refund. He then offered free delivery and 50% off my gift. At that point, I hung up the phone. In looking at my credit card statement, I was still charged for the full amount AND the gift was never delivered! Again, who treats customers like that? I will never use 1-800-Flowers again for anything.

Ordered two Christmas Tree arrangements on Monday to be delivered Friday. Combined order $300. Neither arrangement was delivered. Rep in India had to call the recipients (mother and grandmother) to confirm the arrangements weren't delivered (so much for a surprise). Then she said she would request a redelivery and send me a coupon for $20 off my next order. Ha! Like there will ever be a next order...

I wish I had read the comments on this website before I ordered flowers from 1-800-Flowers.com. I would NEVER have used them (and I plan on never using them again!). I've had the exact same services issues others have mentioned. They failed to deliver a bouquet of birthday flowers yesterday to a very special 95 year old female relative (my second mom) even though I had ordered them 4 days in advance.

I spoke to her at 4:30pm yesterday and she said she hadn't received any flowers. She was glad I called because she thought I had forgotten her birthday..:(. When I first called to find out why she hadn't received them, I couldn't get through the 800# menu (it kept saying it didn't recognize my order number even though I was typing it in off their confirmation - and typed it in 3 times). The on-line tracking system said it was "pending delivery confirmation". I was frustrated but thought the flowers might be delivered before end-of-day. I didn't want to call my relative back and disturb her - or get her hopes up that she would be getting flowers.

Today I got a customer service email (an "update on my delivery") saying my flowers couldn't be delivered. It was a no-reply email signed by Bibi **, the VP of Customer Service saying: "Don't worry, no action is needed from you at this time. We'll continue to attempt delivery until we're able to complete it, and will only reach out to you if we need any additional information. Thanks again for letting us help you express yourself perfectly. We look forward to delivering another smile for you soon!"

Well, as you can imagine, there was no smile on my face. I finally got through today on the 800 customer service number after a hold of 5+ minutes - only to be connected to a call center that I assumed was in India. They told me my relative wasn't home yesterday at 5pm when they tried to deliver the flowers. She was home - and the more likely reason was - they didn't wait for her to hobble to the door on her cane! I asked why no one had called me (my phone # was on the order) and he didn't have an answer. He said they usually send email updates. I told him I received the email update today - a day too late!! - which notified me the flowers had not been delivered - which was the reason I was calling.

I asked how we could prevent the same issue happening today (how could I be assured the flowers would be delivered today??) - and all he kept saying was "You'll get an email confirmation when they are delivered." I asked him, "What happens if the flowers aren't delivered? Will I get that email tomorrow? I didn't want to wait until tomorrow to find out the flowers still hadn't been delivered." I told him I wanted to be sure the flowers were delivered before 5pm and that the florist knew to wait for her to get to the door. He didn't seem to understand what I was asking (even though I said it several times) but finally said he would call the florist. Based on the other comments I've read, now I wonder if she isn't going get dead flowers!

I've learned my lesson. This is the 3rd time in 3 months I've used on-line flower deliveries and I've had problems with each one. They wire out the order and have no control over what happens at the local level. 800 flowers was just the first to not deliver on time. From now on, I'm going to use local florists so I have more say and control over what I order - and I can support local businesses in the community. I called a florist in Hawaii direct (using Yelp recommendations) and had great success. Sorry, 1-800-Flowers - the thought of deleting your emails and using local florists? Now THAT puts a smile on my face!! And based on customer feedback, I'm not alone.

I ordered a beautiful thanksgiving centerpiece for my family in Nevada. What they delivered was a vase of flowers and not the awesome centerpiece. When I called they said they would refund 50% of my purchase back to my credit card and send me a 20% discount certificate. I just called them two weeks later and the person on the phone (sounded outsourced) stated the credit had been placed on my account - it has not and the certificate was e-mailed to me. It has not been done. What should have been a beautiful centerpiece turned out to be a vase of flowers. NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE!!! They are a lying, disreputable company and I would not recommend anyone using them at all.

They couldn't deliver the flowers the day they were supposed to. When they did, they sucked. I'm in Arizona and my girlfriend is in New Jersey and we had our first year anniversary. I had to call a friend back in NJ and tell him to get some flowers and chocolate from CVS and leave them at her house so that she'd have something the day of. Two days later she got the flowers I ordered and they look pretty awful compared to what the picture showed. Would definitely not order from ever again, ever. The only thing I can say good is that they seemed pretty upset and offered to call my girlfriend apologizing for being late. Of course I did not let them do this but I thought that was nice. It would have been real nice if they just did what they were supposed to in the first place though.

Ordered a Thanksgiving centerpiece for my 92 year old mother on 11-17-15 and wanted it delivered on 11-24-15 so she and caregivers would be able to enjoy it for a few days. Never got delivered. Called 1800 Flowers on 11-24 and they told me it was on truck and would be delivered by 7:00PM that same day. 11-25, it still was not delivered and I called 1800 Flowers again and was told the item was no longer available. I was confused and mad because I gave them my cell phone, home phone, and email in case I needed to be contacted. They never once contacted me about any problems. In fact, I have a saved email confirming the delivery on 11-24. The customer service side of this situation is poor at best. I wonder if I didn't contact them about the problem, would I have been charged for something that was never delivered? Seems like a very sketchy way to do business.

I was on the phone for 45 minutes while they tried to convince me to have something delivered on Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. The day after was not acceptable when I ordered well in advance and they could have contacted me. At this point, I just wanted a refund. I made several calls and just wanted an explanation as to what happened. Still waiting on an answer... I want a full refund and will never do business with 1800 Flowers again.

I ordered flowers online through 1-800-Flowers for my girlfriend when she receive them they were wilted and only half the flowers that were ordered were actually in the bouquet. They were supposed to deliver them and she actually had to go pick them up from the shipping company because they were sent from a flower shop 2 1/2 hours away. There was no Merce flower shops in the city she lives in.

Called 1-800-Flowers and talk to Ricky in their customer service department pretty much didn't listen to anything I said but asked to send pictures of the bouquet I sent the pictures of the bouquet with the wilted flowers and only seven flowers when you're supposed to be 24. I stated that I would like the bouquet that I ordered delivered to the door with 24 flowers not seven and I want them to be alive not dead or a full refund. I also indicated that they weren't delivered even though I paid the $16 to have them delivered to her door. He indicated that he would talk to his manager and a solution would be provided right away waited four days with no response after three attempts to make contact again and get a solution. Ended up phoning my credit card company and charging back.

I do not recommend this company at all. They are connected to bloomex.com. Customer service is nonexistent and all they're concerned about is getting their money they don't care or understand the dead flowers are not what people order or delivery is getting a phone call telling you have to go pick it up. I will never order from this company ever again. I will tell everybody that I know not to use this company at any time they are awful customer service is nonexistent and all their concerned about is getting their money. They are awful!

Long story short, she did not receive the flowers. I called and spoke with someone and he promised it would be delivered the next day and gave a discount. He said he would check to make sure they were delivered. They tried to call me in the morning, left no message, but I called them back. They said it could not be delivered and they would deliver them tomorrow. I told them to forget it and give me a refund. Never again will I order from them.

I tried to track this order all day on November 15. I got nothing but a royal run-around from each of your specialists. After calling three times, I finally quit at 1:49 AZ time (8:49 Ireland time). I had placed the order for a friend's birthday on November 2 and was very disappointed. The specialists reassured me each time that I called that the flowers definitely would be delivered. They were supposedly sending messages to your floral supplier in Ireland. I called this morning (11/16). I cancelled the order after I spoke with the customer service rep. I will never order flowers for any occasion from 1-800-FLOWERS, nor will I ever recommend that any of my friends order from you. BTW the language barrier makes it almost impossible to communicate with your specialists.

My boyfriend ordered flowers for me as a surprise and paid for Sunday delivery. I only found out on Monday afternoon about them as he was asking. I didn't receive them and we called and were told they would give a discount. We told them it wasn't acceptable, that we wanted the flowers delivered AND our money back. They called me (the recipient) and left a message apologizing and saying they would be delivered by Wednesday guaranteed between 9-7.

Today is Wednesday and we called this afternoon and were told that the florist was contacted and the arrangement was made and would definitely be delivered. Well, OF COURSE, around 6:30 we called and were told that they never gotten ahold the florist. Basically admitting they lied earlier. They even tried telling us that there was only one florist in the city. What the heck! Needless to say I am not going to be getting my flowers, and I was the one that recommended this company. NEVER AGAIN and I will be advising others not to either.

Again, foolishly hung around the morning waiting for the delivery and here I sit at 12:40 with NO delivery. MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT AND TOTAL WASTE OF TIME. Lost me and everyone I know as a customer.

1-800 Flowers has stepped up. They have refunded a reasonable amount of money to my PayPal account. It seems posting on this website certainly makes the difference that customer service couldn't.

I ordered two "Fireside Sympathy Baskets". One from my mother with red roses and one from me with white roses for my Dad's funeral. I know I should have called a local florist but jumping on-line and ordering seemed like one less thing to have to worry about at the time. The flowers arrived on time to the funeral home and the funeral director actually put them behind the casket!! The red roses were fully opened and I was sure would not last that long. There was no baby's breath or filler flowers. The white roses, also not containing any baby's breath or filler were wilted, petals falling and brown on the edges.

Neither "bouquet" was actually in a basket, as described, but in a typical plastic bucket. They neglected to put a ribbon of any kind on either, (although I had an "on-line" chat with customer service at the time of placing my order requesting ribbons that said, "Husband" and "Dad") There was no card or markings of any kind to let me know who the local florist was so that I could express my grievance directly. I have contacted 1-800-flowers customer service dept twice so far by e-mail but have not received any acknowledgment from them. The cost all tolled with delivery was $274.09. I could have run to the local grocery store and done much better!

Long story short, I eventually had them re-routed back to me. How enlightening! I'm so glad this happened so I could see the product compared to the price paid for it. Unbelievable. I will never again order flowers from anyone other than a local florist. I ordered the "large" version of an arrangement and paid in total $91.35. The small version must just be a single flower-head floating in a coffee cup.

My husband surprised me with 3 dozen roses today at work. Our 13 year anniversary is on Monday and he wanted them delivered on Monday but 1-800-Flowers said they would not be able to deliver them on Monday so he had to have them delivered today. I opened the box, cut the bottom of the stems, added the water and the flower food, and placed the flowers in the vase. Once the flowers were in the vase, I noticed there were a few roses that were cut off the stems. Also, the roses are wilted and not just a little bit, I mean a lot. My husband is not one to complain but this absolutely ridiculous that someone would pay this much for flowers for them to look this crappy. I have received better looking flowers at Walmart for $9.99.QAA

I ordered flowers on 10/27 for delivery to my wife's work on 10/28 for our 20th anniversary. I received an order confirmation the same day and assumed all was good. On 10/28 at around 11 a.m. I hadn't heard from my wife so I tried to check the tracking option, but it only said it was waiting for confirmation. I didn't panic and checked later in the day at around 3 p.m. as I had no word of delivery. I sent an email to customer service with no response (still haven't as of 10/29). They were never delivered. I called today on 10/29 and the service rep indicated that the first florist didn't have the arrangements and tried to transfer it to someone else, but apparently it was canceled.

No one called me to let me the issue or problem and probably never would have unless I called them. They said they would refund my money in 3 days and send a coupon, but I will never use this company ever again. Unfortunately, I can't recreate my 20th anniversary and the joy I tried to bring to my wife. Funny thing is once I got off the phone with them, they were able to send me a survey to fill out within 5 minutes.
