I placed a same day delivery order with this company since so many patients get flowers from them. I called 4 hours after I ordered to find out what time the flowers would arrive, and they told me since it’s a hospital it’ll be between 9a-3p. I informed that it was already 348pm so that was not accurate, they then put me on hold and spoke to the flower shop, who said they guaranteed delivery by 5pm. I called again at 520pm and still no flowers. The woman on the line could care less that I was upset or needed these flowers delivered ASAP due to the recipient leaving at 730pm.
I told them I needed them by 7pm and she said they will deliver between 9 and 8pm. I told her that was not acceptable since I was already told two prior arrival times that have not been accurate. She then called the flower shop who said they would arrive on time for me, the flowers still have her to arrive. I am fuming with the lack of give a damn from this customer service and the back and forth garbage and lies. I will NEVER use this garbage company again. Horrible customer service.

I ordered flowers for delivery and they were delivered to the wrong address even though I gave them the correct address. I contacted them right away and they said they would redeliver that day. That did not happen and when I contacted them again they said again they would redeliver and again it did not happen. All I would get was a form response and a promise that they would take care of it which two days later it was not resolved. My experience with this company was very poor. This was not the first time this has happened. This was a Christmas gift which now the recipient will not get. I will never use this company again. I DM the customer service and they were no help then they publicly published my tweet from our private exchanges which I had to try to delete. They finally said they would refund me and not fix the situation. No heart.

What a terrible experience. On December 17th I ordered online a Christmas flower tree. Same one I have ordered many times. After the money is removed from my account almost 100 dollars I get a phone call that says they can’t get this in my area. On December 19th I call you guys again and ask why my refund is not there yet. You tell me 3 to 5 days. Are you kidding me. Then the salesperson says, "Oh yeah we can get that in your area." So we order it again using my Groupon code, and a 20 dollar courtesy discount for inconvenience. But oh yeah we’re gonna take almost 90+ dollars out of your bank until the process is complete then it will come down to 64.
On December 21st when the flowers are supposed to be delivered I call them at 4:45 as nothing is here. After about 10 to 15 minutes on hold I find out that the florist who was supposed to deliver you guys have a phone number that is no longer in service. Are you kidding me. Then you tell me I have to contact Groupon to get my money back and of course another 3 to 5 days for my refund to my bank account. So now you wasted 1 week of my time, I have had my money locked up because you can take immediately, but it’s 3 to 5 days on refund. I could have had this delivered elsewhere a larger town. So it was there for our family Christmas.
I am disgusted when I have ordered many of these and delivered to same location and another location. So I have to wait for you guys to get my 30 Groupon code. I have lost my 20 inconveniences credit with you. I have to wait on you to give me My money back which is now 64+ that is 3 to 5 days. Worst part is no centerpiece that is expected for Christmas dinner. Never again.

In Dec 2016, I ordered a delivery of a cookie gift from 1-800-flowers and the delivery was OK. This year, in December 2017, I ordered two deliveries (to businesses), each for a sweet-roll assortment. The deliveries were to be made Dec. 20 - on Dec. 19, I received a phone call from someone at 1-800-flowers saying the sweet rolls were out of stock, I agreed to let them substitute a cookie assortment and make the delivery on Dec. 21. When I got the confirmation emails, I learned that they had substituted dog treats instead of substituting cookies for humans. I had to call several times to get the order cancelled - supposedly I will get the charge refunded. The last agent I spoke to was Moira on Dec. 21 at 11:49 a.m. PST. I am angry and appalled at the stupidity and lack of quality assurance at this company. I will do my best to discourage others from using them. 1-800-flowers is a con-artist organization.

I ordered a fruit box to be sent to a friend. It was delivered to the wrong house, and the fruit froze. I contacted 1-800-Flowers via email to find out if they had a refund or replacement policy. Within an hour they responded that a new box was on the way to my friend and that I also was given an account credit against my next order. Mistakes happen, how they are handled is what matters. This one was settled faster and better than I would have expected. I recommend 1-800-Flowers.com highly.

I placed two orders for the same recipient (who was in the hospital) on the same day, both for same day delivery, as advertised on the 1-800-Flowers website. The latter of the two orders was delivered on time. However, the first order was not. I received a voicemail saying, "In order to provide you with the most beautiful bouquet possible, it will be delivered tomorrow". I called first thing the next morning to let them know the flowers needed to be there by a certain time, as the recipient was getting discharged that day at 1pm.
I spoke with THREE different associates (Jenny, Christian & Jonathan) and got hung up on twice while they said they were "looking into the matter". Christian was very rude and no help at all. While speaking with Jonathan, he said the reason for the delay was because they attempted to deliver and the recipient wasn't there. LIES, it's a hospital! How was the other bouquet delivered? He said the order would be delivered on time, between 8am and 5pm. That is not on time! I finally just asked for the order to be canceled. It took me threatening to file a fraud claim with my credit card company for him to agree. I still don't know if I trust that it has been canceled, as he couldn't give me a confirmation number. Take your business elsewhere! This has been nothing but a headache and disappointment.

I ordered flowers for my wife’s birthday from 1800flowers.com. After paying the extra service fee to assure they would arrive at her work on time, she never received them. I immediately called and was told they would be delivered to my home address. They never did arrive. The next day I called to cancel the order and was told my account would be credited in 2-3 days. Two days later the flowers arrived at my wife’s work, already beginning to turn brown. I then contacted the company a third time and was told that they could find nothing stating that the order had been cancelled and was told I would be issued a refund immediately and send an immediate credit to my account.
That refund, like the flowers on my wife’s birthday, never showed up. I was finally forced to dispute the charge to my account through my bank and will now be faced with having to fill out multiple forms and paperwork; but in the end it will be well worth seeing this company does not receive a single cent from me. Please carefully consider before ordering anything from this company.

I have been ordering from this company for many years; however, during the past month I have had horrible experiences. Flowers were to be delivered on 12/6/2017; Package was shipped in time; however the shipment went to another state and delayed delivery by 7 days. Enough time to miss the occasion and the arrangement to be dried out. Epic failure. I contacted 1-800-Flowers.com and received a $20 coupon. I should have sought FULL REFUND. I placed an additional order for 3 arrangements to be delivered 12/17/2017. This time 2 of the 3 received their flowers.
I complained that the third was not delivered, nor do I see it in transit. I was informed by 1-800-Flowers that they attempted delivery, but no one answered the door. That I find hard to believe, because the people were home all day long, with dogs that bark when someone comes to the door. I am nervous as I have an outstanding order for delivery next week; but after a month of just horrible experience, I will no longer use this company. The service has definitely not remained on par; and I seem to get "canned" responses from customer service. I will start using local florists for any flower arrangements.

My boyfriend ordered me flowers from 1-800-Flowers.com, and they delivered them partially dead. So, he called them and told them when he had seen what I brought home (I guess they have a 7 day guarantee). They offered to replace the flowers free of charge, but not only did I NEVER receive the replacement flowers... he never told me about them and was going to make them a surprise again. 1800 Flowers called ME to verify the order, and then three more times to see if I had ever received them.
They are now telling my boyfriend he will not get a whole refund because they delivered the second set of flowers (which they NEVER did). All because the florist states they delivered the flowers (BUT DIDN'T) they will not refund the money. There are witnesses to all of this too, and still nothing. 1800FLOWERS is a complete JOKE, and I hope my boyfriend NEVER uses them again. Flowers are such a waste of money anyways, and then they try to screw people for doing something nice. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE company.

I have never ordered from this company before and I sure as heck will not ever do it again. How devastating to find out our sympathy could not be expressed as ordered. There is no "do-over" here! 1-800 flowers offered a $20 off my next order... Seriously??? I ordered some sympathy flowers for my friend's funeral. I paid extra for the flowers to be delivered on the date of the funeral. The flowers were never delivered and I was never informed. But the charge was placed on my credit card. When I called about the status, the phone rep stated that the florist did not have the kind of flowers. And they were only going to refund me the service charge. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, the phone was disconnected and no one ever called me back.
And on prior occasion, they delivered the flowers one day late for my daughter's birthday. Out of the 3 times I ordered flowers from them in the last year, only one time was delivered on time. So their success rate is about 33%. They have no control over their vendors and no communication with customers. Their management is in disarrayed. I placed the order yesterday morning Oct 26 2017 received my confirmation and went on my merry way thinking it was the perfect sympathy thing for her.
Today Oct 27 2017 I receive a call telling me that they cannot make this basket because all the florists they have tried no longer have this so called "kit" in stock... HUH??!! So I tell them to cancel the order. They try talking me into a nice sympathy bouquet, no thanks. The reason I ordered the dog basket was because she lost a dog. They offered me a stupid $20 certificate off the next order too but this is not the first time I have had issues with them, but I was dumb enough to give them another chance. They cancelled my order, I emailed a local florist in her city, with a picture of the basket and they said they could make it. Clearly 1-800-Flowers did not try that florist... NEVER AGAIN!!!

I am livid with this company. I ordered a funeral arrangement for a very dear aunt and paid an extra fee for early delivery, by 3:00 p.m. No flowers came. I called the company and was told delivery was attempted at 2:45. This is a total lie because there was family and the funeral director present at that time, and the funeral home has a way for any florist to leave a delivery even if no one is available.
The funeral director showed me how they do it. I was told they would redeliver by 10:00 a.m. for the funeral day. Once again, NO FLOWERS. They said they are refunding my money, but this is such an embarrassment. I mean, are you not in the business of delivering flowers? If you can't do the job, go out of business. Since the company refused to give me a refund we waited another 2 days and many phone calls later the guy finally delivered a small vase of pretty 4 fresh flowers but nothing near what we ordered or what we paid for them. I gave them 2 stars because at least the delivery guy brought something several days late. I could have bought those flowers at Walmart for maybe $15.00 and the vase from a Dollar Tree. I bought a necklace with a keepsake box from these morons for my wife for our anniversary. Now unlike some of the horror stories I read, it did arrive on time because myself and the rep had to modify the delivery date because it was my fault for picking a date a week later, would be a day late at the earliest. So that's my fault. Now when she got the necklace, it was like it was made for a kid. My wife is small framed and that chain at the max length was like a choker and she didn't care for that.
So I called about returning it for a refund and they literally hem hawed around for about a half an hour, going back and forth to a supervisor and came back and said, “I'm sorry there's nothing we can do.” And I quote… "We don't have a return address for where the necklace came from.” WHAT?!! So I asked, “So what exactly does that mean for us?” She basically was going with tough ** in so many words. So I pressed and said that I would just report you to the BBB and then she said hold on then came back and said they'd give me back 50% of what I paid and we could keep the merchandise. Luckily my wife went and bought a necklace extender but I paid good money for the necklace. Sadly I probably ended up spending what it's all worth with the refund. Don't let these imbeciles give you a tough ** story either. Don't hang up until they offer something for their incompetence.

It was nothing like the pretty picture they have on site and the picture you assume is what your recipient would receive. I kept hearing a lot about 1-800-Flowers and their shoddy business practices, and I hope to never, never, never order from any company that has anything to do with them. My fruit basket was made by Flowers by Marianne and it was absolutely a 3 from the 10 I thought I ordered, because I went by the picture and I was heartbroken it was nothing like the picture.

At the end of the day they said there was confusion with what I had requested on card. It was simply a defaulted message from their site. Happy Birthday and many more, Love -----,------. Also take note they have until 7-8 to deliver. Who wants flowers delivered in the evening. Birthday is over by then. Never again for me!

I ordered flowers and a balloon for my wife to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. The flowers were not delivered. When I call the customer service I was told that they would deliver the next day and that it was better late than never. For a service like this they should never miss a delivery date, they ruined a once in a life time celebration. They should be run out of business to ensure that they are unable to do this to anyone else.
Their service was horrible. They kept me on the phone for over an hour with no real resolution, they kept telling me that they did not want to get off the phone while I was still frustrated - really? They screwed up my 25th Anniversary. How could they possibly think anything they could do would make up for that. Again I cannot stress this enough if it is an important event do not order from 1-800 Flowers because they do not deliver. And better late is not true.

My husband's office ordered flowers for my mom's funeral - to be delivered for the Friday Viewing as the service was the next morning. No flowers came... We buried her Saturday and funeral flowers arrive at my HOUSE on Monday. Not plants, but a funeral arrangement?! When I called 1-800-Flowers it was stated matter of fact that the 'sender' agreed to this? What? Would any sender agree to have flowers 'miss the funeral'? Would anyone think it would be OK to send funeral arrangements to a house? Very poor taste.
My mom meant the world to me - would have been respectful for 1-800-Flowers to deliver on time and if not, refund the sender the money. It was VERY POOR TASTE to believe that it would be fine to deliver these flowers 3 days after the funeral. Seems like they wanted to keep their money. His office (who orders flowers for many of their clients) will no longer do business with this disrespectful, tasteless, and greedy company. This was NOT good customer-recovery.

I hate to give the review to 1-800-Flowers but their confidentiality agreement will not allow them to divulge the name/location of the florist. Therefore they will have to bear the brunt of my ire. I am sadly disappointed in the service we (didn't) received. It soured my wife's birthday and I have recourse. Getting my money back just doesn't do much for satisfaction. The delivery person actually let an unknown person sign for the flowers. The signature did not match my name or my wife's. How can you do that when somebody is depending on your professionalism? It doesn't say much for the florist or the inconsiderate moron they employ. This will be the last time I will use their service, and I will make sure that everyone I know will hear this tale. P. S. - Can you believe the soulless act of the dirtbag that would sign for and keep somebody's birthday gift? That goes beyond evil.

I called 1800flowers at 8am the morning of the service to verify the delivery would be made before the 10am service. They said it would be delivered by 9am. It was delivered at 1pm, service over. I called requesting a refund, was told I would receive one. Received a call the following morning saying since it was delivered, I would not receive a refund.
I stated the order was made so it would be AT THE SERVICE, not sitting in the funeral home AFTER the service had ended TWO HOURS previously. The caller then said they would reroute the delivery it to a home address. Really? I ordered it for the SERVICE, not for the home!! He then offered to give me a $20 gift certificate, for a $70 order! Please call a local florist directly. These people are a joke, and how they handle failing at their commitments is even more of a joke! Especially don't order for a funeral service, how embarrassing and hurtful not to have your plant at a loved one’s service. Would give them a zero if it was possible.

Once again the local vendor calls and asks my son as to why he opened the gift box and as to why he did not like what was there in the box! For heaven’s sake it’s a gift and how would he know what we had ordered! The minute we came to know that all items were different and not as described on the website we contacted the customer care. I am mid-hassle, trying to have a Get Well Soon flower arrangement delivered to my sister. My sister had a very major surgery a few months ago and is staying home for the next few months while she heals. I thought it would be sweet to send her a flower arrangement shaped like a cat (her favorite). I ordered on Friday to have the item delivered Monday (plenty of time, so I thought). I get an email Monday that says the recipient was not home but they would try Tuesday. The email said "I did not need to do anything" so I shrugged it off. Following morning I get about four phone calls from 1-800-Flowers.com.
I call their customer service in India and they say the florist in the area would not deliver until they got in touch with my sister and knew she was home (this is supposed to be a surprise by the way, half of the point I did it in the first place). The fact of the matter is, when I called my sister to confirm her address, she also confirmed what I already knew: I KNOW she is home everyday and her father-in-law works from the house too. I am 99% sure that the delivery service COULDN'T BE BOTHERED to get their butt out off the car and ring the doorbell or knock on the door. Neither my sister nor her FIL are deaf. They are both mobile. And they are not fearful of answering their front door. I explained to customer service that I don't know anybody who picks up their phone for unknown numbers when they are not expecting a call... and considering this was supposed to be a surprise, she would not be expecting a call...
Meanwhile, I am painfully aware that these $75 flowers are now two days old and I am not pleased. I told customer service to tell the florist to deliver the flowers. I told them again that the recipient is home. Awake. And now eagerly awaiting a delivery. Goodbye surprise effect. Have not heard anything or received a delivery confirmation from over 6 hours ago. They have until tonight to deliver, or I am canceling. In the future, I will simply send my sister a check and have her go buy her own flowers from the nearest Walmart - they would probably be fresher (and an 1/8th of the price) than the ones she may or may not get...
Highly would not recommend this service. I suggest calling a local florist directly. My godmother once sent me flowers on my birthday from a local florist and the delivery man spent half an hour looking for me in multiple buildings (I just happened to have a meeting in another area of the hospital) and he STILL tracked me down! It was a beautiful surprise and so unexpected. With a company like 1-800-Flowers.com, I do not expect them to go above and beyond for their recipients, and instead I probably spent more time calling them, my sister, and emailing back and forth than they did delivering the gift. Never Again.

I know that roses do not have a strong fragrance but I was surprised at no beautiful smell to liven the room. They were just for looks. I complained and was refunded. The more I thought about it, I called 1-800 Flowers and requested that they resend the original arrangement to make it right at their expense. We found a sympathy bouquet and remembrance vase that we thought would be perfect. The website asked what day we wanted it delivered and we chose the next day (Saturday 5/27) and paid $14.99 for delivery. This brought our total to over $100 for a small vase full of lilies, however we figured it would be better than hand delivering something we got from Publix ourselves. Today is now Saturday (delivery day) and I go online to check the status of our order. It is showing that it will be delivered next Saturday, a day after the funeral!!!
My husband calls customer service and the lady was argumentative and states that some bouquets must be shipped and some come from local florist. As my husband is trying to speak she interrupts him multiple times. She says that the arrangement we picked is not available for local delivery, although it shows on the website that it is and we even paid extra for it?!? So, she offers us a partial refund and to contact a local florist to get something delivered today. We are a little upset, but agree that would be okay. Then I receive a phone call saying the local florist can NOT deliver today. So, we canceled our order after we questioned why the website allows you to order and pick a specified delivery date if it is not available... She would not give us an answer. This is horrible customer service. Would not recommend the company to anyone!!!

Do not use this flower service. I used them to deliver my mother birthday flowers. The flowers are sent in a box instead of being nicely presented to her. Customer service is incompetent. There is no option to select the time you'd like them delivered. Anywhere from 9am-7pm. Flowers were broken upon delivery. To top it off, they were very expensive considering the experience and product. DO NOT USE. Deserves Zero Stars.

They said they would try a different florist the next day. WHAT? I demanded a total refund and cancelled the order. They said they were sorry. I told them to tell their marketing manager to fix their website. If they can't send what is advertised to the area, they should block it out like Edible arrangements does. GEEZ! Do not EVER order from these crooked people.
I texted my son to tell him what happened. He said that was funny because a florist HAD tried to deliver. Nobody was home, so they left a card. Daughter in law returned the call & florist made arrangements to make the delivery the next morning. Well CRAP, there is a definite lack of communication between the florist & 1-800-Flowers. Now that I cancelled, she won't be getting anything! How messed up can this get??? I have now ordered from Shari's Berries.

Here we are on day three - no delivery, but offered 50% refund. Maybe someone stole - no...sent to her job which must go through security. No one ever even called her to confirm the re-attempt.
Now I believe that they outsource to India. I was sent to the executive something or another and spoke to an American, who indicated they tried to reach the florist shop that was initially used to no avail. She offered to send via a different florist and full refund. THAT was customer service! I was initially going to bash them because of having to deal with the outsourced area and no resolution except 50% but the transfer worked it all out and my mother received beautiful flowers, candy and balloon on 4th day. In addition the new florist called to advise they were on the way...so since these flowers are sent via a 3rd party they just have to take certain florist off their list that's giving them a bad wrap!

I ordered flowers May 1 for Mother’s Day to be delivered May 14th. However, despite ordering 2 weeks early, the flowers were never delivered to my mother nor did I ever receive any tracking notice or email regarding their lack of delivery. The following Monday (5/15) I called to figure out where my flowers were. The customer service rep had no excuse of why they were not delivered. We agreed he would send me the flowers anyways with a full refund, plus would call my mother to apologize. Nice gesture, right? Sure-- until those flowers ALSO FAILED to turn up more than a week later, my refund was NOT processed, and my mother received no said apology call. So, customer service agent ** completely lied to me. 19 days after ordering… still nothing.
I called one last time, requested a full refund yet again and I no longer will even bother trying to get my flowers delivered. I’m very disappointed. This was the worst experience I’ve had with a flower delivery place ever. Do not bother with this place. The “100% Smile Guarantee” phrase on their website is complete bogus. I should have checked their reviews online – avg of 1 STAR (shocking!). Trust me. Don’t make the mistake me and many other customers did and go to a local florist instead.

I had ordered flowers from 1-800-Flowers in the past and forgot what a horrible job they did. I just placed an order for Mother's Day and the flowers that arrived were half the number of flowers that were supposed to come in the bouquet. The color was different and they looked nothing like the flowers pictured on their website and the roses were dying when they arrived. I emailed customer service and they said they would send a new one out first thing Monday. The replacement flowers never arrived. I emailed back and they said it would arrive Tuesday and they never arrived.
So I called and they guaranteed a Wednesday delivery. Those never arrived. After 6 emails and 2 phone calls, it's now Thursday and still no flowers. I called again and they said they would send them on Friday. At this point I don't believe them and I requested a full refund. They said they would refund me in 3-5 business days. Let's see if that actually happens. I feel beyond disappointed that they ruined Mother's Day since I live on the other side of the country away from my mother. Do Not Use 1-800-Flowers. I ordered online an arrangement on Monday to be delivered the next day to a relative in the hospital. Unfortunately, she was discharged sooner than she expected, so they could not deliver that day. I was completely ok with that since it wasn't their fault she was no longer there. I spoke with a Customer Service Rep on Tuesday and provided her with the home address to redirect the delivery to. I gave her a home address including the city and the state of LA and guaranteed the flowers would be delivered on Wednesday. I received a call on Wednesday stating they had an incorrect address because they had the city correct but listed the STATE as Los Angeles instead of Louisiana. So there was another delay in delivery. CSR stated she would refund the delivery fee and again guaranteed delivery for Thursday.
Now, today, Thursday I get another call from them to say there was an issue with the order. I asked what the issue was and was put on hold for 10 min for them to come back and tell me they are going to deliver flowers on Friday. Still, not knowing what the issue is, turns out the issue is still the fact they are listing the state LA as Los Angeles. I had to have repeated the address at least a dozen times, none of the CSR's I spoke with, 5 in all, spoke English as a first language and could barely understand the questions I was asking so they would just give me a generic answer and say "OK". No, NOT OK, I had to argue with the CSR for them to provide me a credit for their incompetence. CSR stated they were going to credit half the cost of the flowers and send a $20 coupon. She again verified the credit and stated the flowers would be delivered on Friday.
Not 10 minutes after hanging up I received an email stating the flowers were DELIVERED but shows a date of 5/19/17, which is tomorrow. Approximately 15 minutes later I get a call from Carlos who wants to advise me that the flowers were delivered today. I asked him to verify that the credit was being processed to my account, he stammered through the rest of the call. That question was too difficult for him to answer. All of that information should have been right there with notations from all of the CSRs that called. I work for a large corporation as a Customer Service Supervisor and have never experienced this level of incompetence. This is what occurs when you outsource to foreign countries, they need to provide better training so there can be a seamless conversation about your account. It should not matter to whom you speak with, they should all be providing the same information.
As far as the $20 coupon they are sending, even after I told them not to, it will be destroyed with pleasure because I will NEVER and I mean NEVER use this company again. I submitted this order through my company's website that is used by employees to shop with 100's of different companies. I have already set warnings about using this company for any reason. If I can help anyone else avoid this frustration and make sure they utilize a different company I will tell anyone and everyone about this awful experience.

I ordered my flowers this past Thursday morning for Friday delivery. They gladly took my money out of my account immediately at 9:10 a.m. but never followed through with the order. When I called them Saturday morning to find out why my flowers were not delivered by the end of business day on Friday I was told that they would give me a $14.99 credit for the delivery fee and they would resend the flowers by the following Tuesday. Mind you this was a special occasion and a surprise and those flowers needed to be delivered on the agreed date of Friday May 12th, 2017. Not only was my surprise and special occasion ruined but when I ask to speak to a manager I was given a different resolution. After being on hold for approximately 25 minutes he came back and told me that he could send flowers that following Tuesday and he went to the extreme of picking out the bouquet that he could send on that date.
Flowers are very personal and by no means should somebody leave me on hold that long only to come back and pick out what they can and will be able to send me 5 days late! They offer thousands of bouquets so my question to management is this, what makes you think that you can pick out my flowers for me after you didn't follow through with my order and ruined my surprise, plus took the money out of my bank account and then only offer me a 14.99 discount? I didn't want the bouquet that you picked out for me. I wanted the bouquet that I picked out and to be delivered on the date I had requested and on the date that I had paid for. I paid $75 for a bouquet that I could have went down to my local store and purchase with a vase for only $30. I paid the extra money to make this special occasion exciting for the person I was giving it to.
This was a horrible experience for the second time in a row. I'm sorry I gave them a second chance and I would never ever recommend the service to anyone. On top of that when you call them you don't even speak to somebody from America. Why are they employing Americans who need jobs? They were even on the show Undercover Boss trying to figure out all of the issues going on in their company several years ago. Apparently that didn't even help them. I guess they need to hire a new CEO! The flowers were suppose to be delivered before 2:30 p.m. It was 4:00 p.m. when I called 1-800-Flowers on Sunday afternoon and they informed me that the flowers would not be delivered until Tuesday, because the flower shop was too busy and just couldn't do it.
I asked, "Why wasn't I notified?" They said that they sent an email. I was very angry. I told the lady that I ordered earlier to ensure timely delivery and not only were the flowers not delivered, I was notified via email. I asked to speak with a supervisor, and the lady kept apologizing about the fact that the flowers were not going to be delivered. Also, the supervisor was too busy on the phone taking orders and could not speak with me.
Also, I found out that all the people taking order and speaking with me on the phone were from the Philippines. So, I asked how could they assist me, when they were not here in the States? Again, I was very upset and unhappy. I called three days earlier, thinking that it would be no problems, but NOTHING was delivered. I have no plans on using this company in the future.

My son ordered flowers to be delivered to me on Saturday May 13th and when they were not even delivered by Sunday evening. He said he's check with 1-800-flowers. It's now Monday afternoon and no flowers. A customer service representative called from 1-800-Flowers and could barely speak English and so I confirmed the address with her (I live on a very well known street) and asked her what florist she was using as they should have no problem finding me and could call me on my cell phone if needed. She said they couldn't divulge the florist (I have since figured out they don't use local florists but just ship and hope I guess) which made me very suspicious.
I'm going to advise my son (who works hard for an expense like this) to refuse the charge on his charge card as it's too late. If they ever arrive, they better look good or I'll be back online. But judging from what I've read here, this is just a company that exists to take business away from local companies and we are completely against that around here. We will not ever order from them again. Period.
UPDATED ON 05/25/2017: I left a review (Chris of North Syracuse, NY) around may 15th and can hardly believe what has now taken place. First of all, I neglected to mention that they had told my son the flowers were delivered the Saturday before Mother's Day which was a complete lie. And they knew it. After he tried to cancel the order the following Tuesday, (we had given them all day Monday to deliver) they gave him all kinds of flack about discounts, promises and upgrades. Seriously, put that much effort into delivering in the first place and none of this would be necessary. When they pretty much refused to credit him, he said either credit him or he'll contest the charge - your choice.
Then, get this, a week later on Monday May 22nd I got a call from them telling me the florist (which we know doesn't exist or they would have delivered them long ago) was "insisting" on delivering the flowers that day -- seriously? An entire week after mother's day? I'm sure they were just looking to get me to verbally approve it on the phone so they could charge me. I reiterated my son's request to cancel the charge or it would be contested and said he'd already replaced the flowers. The person continued babbling on and I had to just hang up on him... which I normally would never do to someone unless they JUST WON'T LISTEN TO ME.
I agree with other posters that if I could give them negative or zero stars I would - I'm beginning to question how many people ever even get flowers from them. Around here, we support local businesses and farms so never will we do business with them again and will tell our experience to anyone we know. If I couldgive a negative 5 star rating to them, I would.

Last Friday my husband ordered flowers for me for Mother's Day to arrive at my work before 5:00. He was guaranteed they would arrive to me before end of my workday at 5:00. This was supposed to be a surprise. My husband hadn't received a "thank you message" from me all day so he kept calling to check the status. He called 3 TIMES and was told they'd arrive by 5:00. By 5:10 I had to leave work to go pick up kids. I could no longer wait. He then told me the surprise.
He called to get a refund because the surprise had been ruined. They REFUSED to give him a refund and said that the best they can do for him is have a new bouquet delivered to me the following Tuesday. So not only did they NOT deliver when they were suppose to, refused to give a refund, but also can't/WON'T even deliver the next business day. We will NEVER do business with this company again! We get that accidents happen and there was a reason delivery couldn't be made on time but as a business you have to work with people after the error occurs which they refused to do. I ordered a plant from this company the Weds before Mother's Day for delivery on Fri 5/12 to ensure it arrived before Mother's Day. Sure enough, the product didn't arrive on Friday or Saturday, which was extremely disappointing to my Mom who thought I forgotten about her. When I called on Monday 5/15 to find out why it wasn't delivered, I called the company and the customer service rep told me that based on the volume of orders received they were not able to deliver the plant on time. After expressing my disappointment and condemnation for the company, they said it would be delivered today and I would receive 50% off of the original order. I'm glad I got the discount but would have rather had them delivered on time. I only went w/ this company since I was receiving bonus miles from Southwest.
The irony here is that I had to order another arrangement on Fri 5/12 for my girlfriend and this company stated it couldn't deliver it on time. So I went w/ my tried and true online florist named Teleflora requesting same day delivery. They accepted my same day order but within an hour after taking the order they called and said they couldn't make the Fri same day delivery, but it would be there on Saturday. True to their word, the bouquet arrived Sat morning. If you read this review, go w/ Teleflora... you will be so glad you did.

This is now the second time I have had a problem with this company. The first time was online with their website... I went through the entire process of ordering flowers for my 83-year-old mother's birthday and when I clicked the final "Send" button... Nothing happened. I assumed it went through but I was mistaken. So for Mother's Day today... I CALLED hoping that would work... But I couldn't have been more wrong. This time they took my order and charged me $84.41... But my mother never received the flowers AGAIN!!!
When I called to attempt to rectify the problem... I was given the run around by 3 different representatives. I spent almost 2 hours on the phone mostly because only one of them spoke English. They made no attempt what-so-ever to make things right for THEIR mistake. The only thing that "Pope" could tell me was that he was fairly certain that I wouldn't be charged.... Despite the fact that the transaction was currently being processed by my bank. I tried to make it clear to him that I was more concerned about what they were going to do for my mother... And not the refund... But still nothing. TOTAL JACKASSES. Every one of them!!! Don't EVER make the same mistake I did!!! Stay far away from this company and WARN EVERYONE YOU KNOW!!! 1-800-FLOWERS SUCKS!!!

The worst service ever. I ordered flowers for Mother's Day. Paid a service charge and a second charge for delivery on May 14. I received a confirmation that promised delivery between 8am and 9pm. That long delivery window and late end point was bad enough but then they failed to deliver. When I called to ask where the flowers were the customer service agent simply apologized and said they had no vendor available. We live in the Washington DC suburbs. It is not like florists are a rarity here.
Postscript: I asked to speak to the customer service representative to speak to my supervisor. She then hung up. I called back and was told that I could not speak to a supervisor because the prior agent had left the matter open and therefore only her supervisor could access it. As they would not identify anyone for me to talk to, refused to let me talk to any supervisor, and refused to give any identifying details (such as an ID number) other than the fact that they were in one of several call centers located in the Philippines, I am pretty much out of luck - though I will call VISA and ask them for a full refund and NEVER use this company again.

When my son told me he was having flowers sent for me for Mother's Day I was so thankful for his thoughtfulness and I still am. I know that my son who is working extremely hard to make it in this world wanted to send me his live via Flowers that he knows I love. Aside from getting the runaround about changing the delivery day, the vase and flowers that were sent do come close to the portrayal the website shows. The bouquet contained 3 small yellow lilies, 2 small pink roses, and maybe 6-7 very small carnations, crammed in a clear vase with an unprofessional, very small straw bow.
My son who I will always be thankful for was robbed. $49.99??? Seriously a crime what this company is doing. The bouquet I received looked as if it was purchased at a grocery store, no arranging, no flower packet, no care in how I know my son would have wanted it. I had a bad experience, had to raise a little hell to get my refund but I did eventually get refunded, and while I was unsatisfied with the service, I didn't write a bad review because I did get a refund and I'm not the sort to do that kind of thing. This time was the last straw. I'd placed an order for Mother's Day flowers. The day of delivery I received two messages from 1 800 Flowers. The first an email at 7:15 a.m. PDT saying that my was being prepared to go, and the second two minutes later by phone, the message was that my order was being canceled because an overabundance of orders and could not be filled.
This caused me to have to drop at work (it always happens inconveniently at work when your hands are tied) and try to find someone to deliver the day before Mother's day, so HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED TO DO... DO NOT USE 1 800 Flowers, Google the area of the recipient's, find local florist in that area, order locally, eliminate the ineffective and expensive middleman.

The morning of the viewing I went to the 1-800-Flowers tracking system and the system message stated they were awaiting a delivery confirmation from the florist. I kept checking back to confirm the delivery was made.
At 3:00pm I received an email stating the florist received my order and was preparing the arrangement for delivery. I immediately called 1-800-Flowers customer service (outsourced to another country) and was told since I didn't request a specific time this morning for delivery, the agent couldn't help me and essentially it was my fault for not providing a time. I thought selecting "Morning Delivery" from the drop down options online should have given them some idea that the delivery should have occurred in the morning and not later in the afternoon at the end of the viewing. I was told to call back if my arrangement did indeed miss the afternoon viewing.
I asked to speak to a supervisor and was put on hold for 5 minutes. When the agent returned, I was told the supervisor was on the phone and had other calls waiting. I'm not surprised that there are multiple complaints coming in after I read the other reviews on the ConsumerAffairs website. I told the agent I wasn't going to call back and I would hold for the supervisor. The agent again put me on hold while the he said he would reach out to the local florist to find out why the order didn't go out as requested. After 8 minutes the agent came back on the line saying he couldn't get through to the local florist. I asked for the name of the florist so I could call and he refused to give it to me.

How this company is still in business is beyond me. They are no better than online con artists by the way they take your money, maybe deliver your product; if they feel like it, and mysteriously never answer the phone or refund your money when they say they will. Word of advice, if your product is not delivered by the promised date, you are within your rights to dispute the charge as they didn't fulfill their contractual obligation (once they take your money, they have entered into a contract with you). If they get enough chargebacks, it sends a red flag to Visa/MC and their card acceptance privileges could be revoked. If they can't accept credit cards, then they can't do business.

The customer service representative was very nice and informed me that I would not be charged the $19.99 for my order and that I would also receive an email with a voucher for $20.00 off a future order. I have yet to receive the email and my credit card has been charged $19.99.
By the way the only way that this order ever got processed was because I did it online myself while on the phone with the representative. I did not and do not trust any of the customer representatives to do anything that they say they are going to do. Today 5/9 I called customer service again around 9:30 am E.S.T. and spoke to Charles. I informed him that I would like to speak with a supervisor and he checked to see if she was available. He said his supervisor Jalyn was not available and would call me back. It is now 12:10 pm E.S.T. and I have not received a call.
I have always used 1-800-flowers in the past but am questioning my decision. Please respond and let me know why I am having these problems. I still have not received a call from Jalyn. I did get an email in response asking for additional information, name, email etc. I replied with, "Did you read my email?" No response to my original questions. Later today I received this response. "Your gift will soon be on its way! Our florists are hard at work preparing it, and will let us know as soon as it's ready to go out. Look out for a confirmation email from us. Thanks again for letting us deliver a smile for you." Still no answer to refund for my inconvenience or special offer that I was to receive by email. Do not place an order with them by phone. None of the information will be correct and order will never be filled.

I ordered a flower arrangement through 1-800-Flowers. It was supposed to be an arrangement in a cute little teapot. I paid almost $80. The next day I received an email that the teapot wasn't available, but they would substitute another container. I called to cancel the order. The teapot was the whole reason I ordered that specific arrangement. As soon as I told the customer service representative (Shanniese) that I wanted to cancel my order, she HUNG UP ON ME. I immediately tried calling back and got an automated message that the call center was suddenly closed.
I spent the next hour arguing with "May **" in chat, trying to get her to cancel my order. She obviously didn't speak English very well, and kept trying to get me to accept a partial refund or some alternative container for my flowers. I very clearly told her I wasn't interested in any substitutions SEVERAL times. I clearly told her at least 5 times to cancel my order and refund all of my money. I also had to prompt her to respond to me after every message. She finally told me that my cancellation was being processed and that I would have to wait 3-5 banking days for my refund. I paid with a credit card, so they should have been able to refund it immediately. I'm pretty sure I'm not going to see that money in 3-5 days. 1-800-Flowers is ROBBING people. I don't even know how they stay in business. I will never order from them again. If I could have rated them with zero stars I would have.

I ordered a $75 bouquet for my daughter's birthday to be delivered to her work. It was supposed to contain a dozen roses and stargazer lilies. Fortunately I asked my daughter to send me a picture of what was delivered. She received 12 daisies! I called to complain, spoke with someone at a call center, and they will be delivering a replacement bouquet tomorrow. They also are going to give me a $20 coupon toward a future order. I seriously doubt I will ever use their service again!
I asked for and was denied a refund which the call center blamed on the florist. If it was a local florist. I would not be so unhappy. But the flowers were sent FedEx so I suspect they came from either their own warehouse or a wholesaler. I would strongly advise that you request a photo of any flowers you send so they don't get away with this kind of scam.

When 1-800-Flowers.com screws up you have only 7 days to get them to compensate or resend item. My mother lives hours away so for her birthday, easter and mother's day I've sent flowers. But these 3 times the items I've bought off their website shows numerous flowers on them yet once again item delivered is not what I purchased. At easter her roses had only one measly rose but because I didn't find out from her as it was a gift out of town and didn't contact within that 7 days THEY won't do anything and this is just how they roll. This last order I told them if it had less flowers than what was pictured what I paid for I wouldn't be ordering anything from them anymore and true to fashion it was supposed to have 8 flowers and the camillas I sent her early for mother's day only had 3 flowers on them.
Ordering from these fools is like going to a burger joint. You see the picture you're ordering from the picture only. When the tray comes out you have no fries, drink or pie. You're not getting what you paid for at all and they're con artists. What I've decided to do is look around in her area for another florists and order directly from them since 1-800-Flowers.com doesn't honor the products they're selling.

Same experience as others I've read. Ordered online, got a call at 1 pm the day they were supposed to arrive stating they have no florist in the area and that I need to pick another location. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! It was for my mom's birthday and I wanted to surprise her to have the flowers delivered to her hotel while she was away celebrating her birthday. They were saying, "Well we could deliver to her house." REALLY? Who would receive them, no one is around, they are away! After them trying 3 times to get me to accept having them delivered to her house they said, "Well we can hold your order and give you 5% off for your future order." WTF! Um no! Give me my money back so I can make other arrangements!
After yelling at the one person they finally transferred me to a supervisor (no refund acknowledged). Supervisor tried the same thing (delivering to my mother's house???) then after me saying 'NO' she said, "Well we can hold your order and give your a 20% discount for your future order since there is mother's day coming in a few weeks." I'm sorry **! I'm not made of money and I'm not going to SKIP her birthday because you won't let me buy her something else and arrange something else. THIEVES! Oh you better believe I screamed at her **! Screamed and cut her off and said, "GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK OR I'LL DISPUTE IT ON MY CREDIT CARD!" She immediately said, "We will refund and send you refund confirmation by email". I just said, "You refund and send me the email and we won't have a problem." WORST COMPANY EVER! DO NOT USE THEM! Last week, ordered two arrangements, a birthday arrangement for a friend and a new baby boy arrangement. Paid for what looked like an elegant, tall arrangement of sunflowers in a dark bamboo vase to accent the dark centers of the sunflowers for my friend. Paid an upcharge for that specific vase. My friend sent me a picture of an arrangement that I could have made by going to Shoprite, buying a bunch of sunflowers, and shoving them in a cheap glass vase. The baby arrangement was not even remotely as pictured. I wanted light blues and yellows. I got pinks and purples. I paid $140 for these two arrangements that looked as if they cost $15 at the supermarket. AVOID 1-800-FLOWERS like the plague!

I ordered flowers for a family funeral, and received the order date confirmation via email. 1800 flowers decided to change the date of delivery to the following day, which arrived minutes before the funeral instead of the viewing the day before when I was told they would be there. This same thing happened the last time I used them!!! Unbelievably embarrassing for me!!! I won't be using this company again, as they are unreliable, and have no regard for their clients or the promises they make to their clients. I called 1800 Flowers and they stated I cancelled my order yesterday and now the earliest they can deliver the flowers is 5-9. They couldn't tell me who called to cancel the order but it was not me. I asked to speak to a supervisor and the agent asked me, "Why???" "Why you might ask?? My order was cancelled. You can't tell me how and now you can't deliver the flowers until the 9th. That's why!!!" She put me on hold. She never came back.
I called again. The next agent told me the florist cancelled the order. So the florist didn't have 12 roses and y'all didn't send me an email saying it was cancelled. Then she tells me it can't be delivered until the 30th. So the agent offered me another arrangement. Which was 59.99 then she tells me the total is 74 plus. I told her I am not paying more for something I didn't do wrong. I could go on and on. Was my issue corrected? Yes, after a 30 minute conversation with an agent reading for a script. I never received notification of this. The customer service rep that I spoke to (a lovely girl in foreign call center) apologized and offered me $20 off my next 1-800-Flowers purchase. I had to ask repeatedly if the flowers would be re-delivered and the best I got was that they would try.

I ordered a flower arrangement for Easter to be delivered on Friday April 14. The same day I placed the order I was contacted by a 1-800-Flowers rep informing me that the arrangement that I had ordered was not available and was offered another arrangement - tulips with a box of candy. Since I did not want tulips, and the recipient can not have candy - I asked for a spring bouquet. The rep said that would be no problem and they would be delivered on FRIDAY APRIL 14. I kept checking the site to track the delivery all day and well past the 8 PM cut off for the day's delivery - no confirmation that the flowers were delivered. Contacted the intended recipient had not received any flowers.
Then I contacted the customer service # and was told that the flowers were scheduled for deliver on 4/18/2017!!! I said that was not acceptable and that I expected that flowers would be delivered then on Saturday April 15, 2017. The rep then told me that would be impossible as there were no florists that would deliver to the recipient's address. Strange - as I have had flowers delivered to that address in the past. The rep said that there was nothing that could be done and the flowers would be delivered on the 18th. and that there was nothing more that could be done. I demanded to speak to a supervisor.
After a long time - and being able to hear their conversation - a young woman took the line and identified herself as a supervisor and tried to convince me that I had agreed to the delivery date of April 18th when I agreed to the arrangement substitution. I told her that there was no mention of the change of delivery date. The supervisor then went on to explain that there was no florist in the area that would deliver to that address and the flowers were being delivered by FEDEX!!!
I then told her that was unacceptable and that I was canceling the order. The supervisor then said that was impossible. I told her that not only was it possible - but would be done and that I would be given a FULL refund. She said that she could not do that - I told her that she would and if not I would immediately contact my credit card company and have the charge disputed. She then said that she would process the refund and it would show up in 3 to 7 business days! I will be checking on that as other reviewers have stated that the refunds never materialize.
As to the claim that there is "no florist in that area." that will deliver to that area - I checked with local florists and indeed they will - here is the catch - none are in the 1-800-Flowers network, so there is no florist that will work with them - that speaks volumes as to this company's ability to provide local florist delivery. In short, Terrible service, misleading website (when the zip code is put in there should be a notice that no local florist delivery is available), and poor customer service. If I could give less than one star I would give it a minus 5 (-5).

Yesterday I decided to give them another shot and ordered a Victorian Romance bouquet. There were 3 sizes available (and pictured) on their website. I called 1-800-Flowers and spoke with one of their reps, who confirmed it should've contained more roses. She put me on a brief hold while she contacted the flower vendor. After about 5 minutes on hold she told me she spoke with both the manager and flower arranger at the flower shop, who confirmed only 12 roses were included in the arrangement (not 24). Don't believe the Photos that are posted. I received a gift that was all box and container. Yes, there were 4 sunflowers as pictured, however the sizes in comparison to the photo were miniatures. The bright pink fill flower was replaced with broken purple statice. There was about 1/3 of the fill shown in the photo. All stems, compressed measured 1.25 inches. So, part of a bouquet was sent. It is very disturbing to have to let my sister know that what she so carefully selected as a gift did not arrive. I have a background in floral so I feel qualified to write and share this review.

I am beyond mortified!!! I can't even begin to explain how I feel about this company!! First I want to know if they are a sister company to anyone else so I can also NEVER order from them too!!! Had to send flowers to a relative funeral from out of state. They guaranteed they would be there! Well.. THEY WERE NOT!!! They called me literally 15 min before the funeral started to let me know they couldn't make the delivery on time and they would call the funeral home for an address to deliver them to the house!! Well this is in Florida! The flowers will wilt and die in the heat! Nobody would be home as they were at the funeral then burial. Then said they will refund me but credit won't happen until 10-12 business days!!! They are quick to take the money but to refund it is a different story!! Horrible, horrible company!!!

I ordered a flower arrangement for my daughter's birthday on Feb. 23 to be delivered on Sat., Feb. 25. By 4:30 pm that day the flowers had not been delivered, so I called 1800flowers. The rep assured me that the flowers would be delivered by 8 pm stating, "If we haven't heard from the co. that they are not being delivered we have to assume that they are," meaning she didn't actually look into the situation.
By 8 pm they were not delivered so I called back only to find out that they were not delivered because there is "no florist in that area." Well it's Athens, GA and there are about 12 florists in that area, so I assume that means 1800flowers has no contract with a florist there. Then why when the first thing you put in to the order is the delivery ZIP does the order become generated and accepted with email confirmation? Big problem with their website I assume.
My daughter lives 500 miles away. It was her 21st b'day and the next day was Sunday so... no flowers for my daughter and no compensation offered other than my refund which, of course, they have to do. Did receive an email with a 20% off discount on my next order, but that is useless, as I will certainly never order again from them. Also asked to speak to a supervisor who never did call me. I had to call them back myself. Again, all I received from the supervisor was an apology, no real explanation. Terrible service, website and customer service.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! I knew something was up when I ordered the flowers at 8:50 AM on Friday and they were delivered at 11:20 AM. They were most definitely already pre-made from days before. I am disgusted and embarrassed in what was delivered to my fiance's aunt funeral service. The flowers looked nothing like the picture. I ordered a LARGE BROWN BASKET. I am still so angry at the embarrassment I had to endure after sending this garbage. This is a time of grieving and all this company did was make me feel worse!!!

Flowers.com took the order for delivery on Valentine's day but did not deliver, could not get through on phone, no answer all day Valentine's day. They sent an email at 9 pm saying the flowers would be delivered late with a sorry note. Only thing sorry is Flowers.com, won't do business again.

These people are a joke. I ordered flowers for my best friends funeral and was guaranteed a 9:00am delivery for the viewing. The morning of the funeral, while driving to the funeral at 9:15 I received a call from 1-800 Flowers that they can't fill my order. They were very unprofessional and when I asked for a manager they hung up on me. I called back and asked to speak to a supervisor and was hung up on again. Looks like I'm going to need to call my bank to reverse the charges.

I ordered flowers to be delivered on 2/21/17 for my mother's birthday, charged me $70. A few days later I noticed on my checking account statement they had put back $37. I called to find out what was going on and they told me my order was cancelled. I told them I didn't cancel it and if it was cancelled how come I didn't get all my money back. The guy tried to convince me that I didn't pay that much. I offered to email him the receipt I was looking at. After 20 mins of arguing I asked to speak to a supervisor, he put me on hold and came back about 5 mins later and said they would issue the remaining $33 and that it would take 3-5 business days. That was on 2/16, it is now 2/24 and I still haven't gotten my money back.

I recently purchased the Floral Embrace - Medium for my mother's birthday along with a Mylar Happy Birthday balloon. The description of the arrangement: hot pink roses, orange Asiatic lilies, medium sunflowers, lavender stock, orange alstroemeria, and ethos poms. What was delivered looked nothing like what had been ordered. There is a disclaimer on their site stating, "so colors, varieties and basket may vary due to local availability." Almost every flower (90%) and even the balloon had been substituted.
I was told by an agent on the chat line the consumer would be contacted, if substitutions would be required and I did NOT receive any communication regarding it. I was also told my mother would have another bouquet sent to replace the one she had recently received. This is day 3 and my mother has yet to receive her replacement flowers. I paid $60 for those flowers/balloon. I don't know if the florists are automatically substituting cheaper flowers and pocketing the difference or subpar and don't have the necessary flowers to complete the order in which case they shouldn't take the order & perhaps close the shop.
