I really don't appreciate the misleading hype on price. They offer a great price, however, after 3 or 4 add on fees that "little" bunch of flowers has become too expensive to purchase. I have been very disappointed a number of times especially when you get ready to order and then find out about the fees.

Do not use 1-800-Flowers, your call goes to an international call center. They DID NOT deliver the flower arrangement as ordered and offered a feeble excuse about the delivery address not being a funeral home. It is not a funeral home and they were told that it was not. The level of service was pitiful! Buy flowers anywhere else!!!

I have ordered from this company twice and both times, they could not deliver on the date they promised. Both times, I was NOT notified of a delay in delivery and had to call myself to check on the order and shipping status. This last time was a gift for my granddaughter's 3rd birthday. You can offer all the discounts and refunds in the world but it cannot make amends for the fact that you over-promise and under-deliver (literally) EVERY TIME. Not going to get me again. I'm DONE!

1-800-Flowers is a joke. I ordered flowers for a very special day and they “delivered” them at the very last second. And then I called the recipient and he said, "What are you talking about? I didn’t get anything delivered." So I ruined the surprise. After calling 1-800-Flowers I was hung up on twice and transferred 4 different time. Each time getting asked the same questions.
All I said was I want my money back and they refused to refund my money until they spoke with the florist who was suppose to deliver them. I explained to them that there was only 20 minutes before he left for the day so it wouldn’t be possible for them to get them delivered in time anyway. The person on phone said, "Oh well we wouldn’t deliver past 5pm anyway." So again I said, "Then give me my money back." It took over 30 minutes for someone to give me a refund on the flowers that were supposed to be delivered and not even an apology was given for ruining a special day.

I ordered a fruit basket delivered to funeral home in Atlanta for my friend's father who recently passed away. I was assured that the basket would be delivered at the site on June 2nd and I would get an email. At 5 PM I did not get a confirmation e-mail and I contacted them and they had no answer for me. I text my friend and she said there was nothing coming from the Flower shop I mentioned. I did contact my credit card to dispute the charged and they credit back my money.
However this company decided to give my CC company a faked receipt (I did not lie about this) in which it said the item was delivered. They had the nerve to call me twice to offer to deliver different item to different location on my behalf. My whole ordeal is that I got nothing for my order and got charged $142.98 from them. It was sad and unfortunately these people had no integrity to admit their mistake. If you read this far, please do not order from them or make sure you get the email by the promised time.

We had to order flowers for my boyfriend's grandmother's funeral. We ordered them in the morning for a delivery by 12 pm and was promised that it would be no problem. I asked three times "will they be there by noon" and was told yes it would not be a problem. I get a call almost an hour after the service has started and was told that they were not going to make it on time... This is a funeral that has already started. Now I am on hold for 20 minutes waiting for a supervisor... VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!! Will never order again and will advise others not to order as well.

I ordered an expensive large bouquet of flowers for a family member's birthday and when I saw what arrived I was totally shocked. The picture they have on their website for their Summer Dunes bouquet had 6 roses and looked way better than the bouquet that was delivered which only had 4. I specifically ordered that larger size so that I could get 6 roses. This has clearly got to be a case of BAIT & SWITCH or FALSE ADVERTISING which is ILLEGAL. I WILL NOT order from 1-800-FLOWERS again and I do NOT recommend anyone else does. Reading some of the other reviews, it seems like this is common practice at this company. Shameful.

I placed an order with 1-800-Flowers for my daughter-in-law's funeral and was assured a timely delivery, that did not happen and there were no flowers at her funeral. Not only was I grieving the loss of my daughter-in-law but now devastated and hurt as well as humiliated that it looked like I didn't even have the courtesy to send flowers. One of my orders was from my 4 year old grandson who picked out his own flowers from the site and sent a very special card. When arriving at the funeral he wondered where the flowers he got for aunt Jen were and asked how was she going to take her flowers with her to Jesus if they weren't there!
I could have easily went and bought flowers for him to take with us as well as stopped at a local flower shop and had something delivered but I decided to use 1-800-Flowers because it seemed to be convenient as I work a lot and was grieving so it seemed to just be a lot easier! Never again. Humiliated, Hurt and more than disappointed! It was a funeral and only one service so there wasn't even a chance for trying delivery again. This isn't something that can be redone. It makes me feel sick all over again to even think about it. I wouldn't even give 1 star but you don't have a choice but to at least give 1.
When I called for a complaint after telling the woman there was only 1 service and it was over she still asked me if I would like a redelivery? (A redelivery?) They were not even delivered in the first place. Then was offered a 20% discount on my next order? So you want to not delivery my order and keep my 160 dollars and just give me a redelivery to the funeral parlor and now it's over and no one there and give me 20% off next time? That was a sick suggestion if you ask me.

Zero stars! I placed my order on 8/10 to be delivered 8/14/18 to deliver on my mother’s birthday to her office. Delivery time was between 9 am-5 pm. I would assume since I placed my order in advance it would be nice if they had delivered during the early morning but nope. I had to chat with a rep 1:47 pm, 3:21 pm and around 4:15 pm since my status did not say out for delivery and the business office will close at 5 pm. I was upset and told them to refund my money and was told they will call my mom to take the blame for the lateness and to give me $20 to use for next purchase and will deliver it next day.
Why would I want to buy again? And why do I want it deliver next day when her birthday is over? I was extremely disappointed since it was my first order and wanted my money refunded but all I got was excuses. I called my cc company to dispute. Then I got a call from my mom that she got the flowers almost close to business closing and she sent me a picture and boy was I upset. It doesn’t look like what I ordered online. It was ugly. Look at pics attached. It does not look anything like it. I won’t be ordering from them or do I recommend. Terrible service and poor customer service!

1-800-Flowers is getting away by not delivering what it has been ordered. I have seen this over and over and I am tired of it. Attached you will see 2 photos: the arrangement they advertise and the arrangement that was delivered at the funeral I have attended. I am beyond upset about this. The arrangement my friend received not only was presented inside a cheap basket, but also it had less flowers than the arrangement advertised. I called customer service and the person who answered the call offered to resend the arrangement which at this point has no significant value and I did not accept that. To top it off, he was very rude to talk over my voice telling me that the base was of equal value and all he can do was to offer me half refund and $20.00 gift certificate which I will never use. I don't know how can they say that these two are comparable and of equal value?

Ordered a very cute and expensive arrangement for a teenage girl in the hospital. I received a call the day of delivery informing me they could not deliver what I ordered and the best they could do was send another arrangement and refund 1/2 of my money. This was a carefully selected arrangement and I did not want the one they will be sending. They are also sending me a $20 certificate which I will never use because I will not use 1-800-Flowers again.

My son and daughter-in-law sent me a hydrangea in a birdhouse for my anniversary. It arrived looking a little bedraggled with one small portion of the plant hanging off. Two days later, the plant, (which was smaller than pictured and in FULL bloom) was dead. I call the company and spoke with a representative who was helpful, promised a new plant would arrive two days later and when I asked if I could be notified when it arrived, he assured me that I would receive a phone call. The plant never arrived, and calling again today was told, after my second call, that my previous order was never filled, and a new plant would be sent in 6 days. I am not pleased, especially with the prices they charge for shipping, etc.

Ordered flowers nearly a month in advanced. I received a notification that the order was delivered a WEEK early. However, the order didn't arrive. I forwarded the delivery notification to customer support and they assured me they'd look into the issue. Despite this notice, the items never arrived for my mom's birthday. Teleflora failed me last year like this and now 1-800-Flowers.com. I'm starting to wonder if a functional, online flower service exists in the U.S. Find a local florist yourself because you're likely to not have success with this company or Teleflora.

Ordered the classic collection gourmet gift basket. Was suppose to be delivered same day, item was delivered the next day but it was something completely different, was as if someone made a basket with junk candy, called customer service and was told they would correct the order. Three days later two more phone calls and still no replacement. Asked for a full refund. I will never deal with them again. Just looking at their reviews and it's really bad.

Went to order a same day flower/gift deliver for the birth of my niece. I first went to ProFlowers.com which didn't have any gift baskets available for same day delivery in the zip code I was looking for. I then went to 1-800-Flowers, which had a wonderful variety of same day options, including baskets, balloons and other add on items. They even have a "countdown" timer notifying you of the limit on ability to place same day orders in my target zip code. I had 2+ hours on the clock. I placed a $106 order and received a confirmation number.
At 2 pm CST (the time limit for same day orders) I received a phone call from customer service saying my order couldn't be delivered today (SAME DAY). The excuse was "the florist doesn't have the basket described in the product." I told the customer service person that I don't care about the vessel, I want the order delivered TODAY as promised. The customer service rep called the florist and supposedly was told that "they can't fulfill any more deliveries for today, all drivers are loaded and out." I asked for the call to be escalated to a supervisor. The supervisor was very understanding and even tried to find another option. No luck.
SO... I won't go into all the gory details of the conversation, but the result is that SAME DAY DOES NOT MEAN SAME DAY to 1-800-Flowers. While I am certainly not the highest $ volume customer they have, I have used them for over 8 years. I will NEVER use them again. The entire purpose of my order today was to ensure same day delivery to my sister-in-law on the birth of her daughter. Not only did 1-800-Flowers fail to deliver same day, they failed to notify me in a timely manner to provide me with an opportunity to find another option.

On July 14, 2018 I ordered a birthday cake flower arrangement for my wife’s birthday. I wanted it to be delivered on July 21, 2018 as a surprise. Waited all day still no flowers. I called 1-800-Flowers to follow up on my order and they claimed I put July 22, 2018 (receipt clearly says July 21, 2018). They promised me they were delivering on July 22nd. Waited until 12pm. Called them back. 1-800-Flowers claimed it will be out for delivery and received by me by 1pm. Waited until 1:32pm. My daughter stayed home so we can do errands. 1-800-Flowers called me saying it was delivered, I immediately called my daughter, still no flowers. Called 1-800-Flowers 3 mins after talking to my daughter, they said Monday. I refused to wait another day. I then asked, "Is there even real flowers or is this a scam?". I gave the company 1 hour to get my order to my home or I was calling my bank and reporting them to BBB.
Within 5 mins, the delivery guy called and said it was delivered. I had my wife call to confirm with my daughter... they weren't delivered. So I said to the delivery guy, "My daughter said they are not at my home," he then said "Oh I left. Nobody answered", I then asked him to go back to my home. My daughter is on the stairs outside in the pouring rain waiting. He delivered the flowers, however, the stand it was on was broken, the flowers were falling out of their place and there was no balloon that I paid for. This is my first and last time I will ever order from 1-800-Flowers. Buyers beware!!!

We ordered flowers for my husband's grandmother's 80th birthday. They were suppose to be delivered the day of. They called me and said that no one was home on that day and they would retry the next day (the family had gone out to dinner for 2 hours that day). They never tried to deliver the next day as promised and they only followed up with the order 2 days after the expected delivery to inform us that the company they subcontracted with for delivery had not contacted them with an update. It has been three days now and the flowers have not been delivered. They offered me a partial refund and a 20 credit towards a future order. Needless to say, I will not ever use the 20 dollar credit. I have used them in the past, but they have apparently lost their desire to please the consumer and I will take my business elsewhere. Very Disappointed!!!!

The 1800flowers.com website is horrible designed and I believe intentionally misleading. The images on the website do not always accurately represent the product you will receive. In contacting customer service about this, I received the response that the fine print clearly identifies the differences between the images and the sent product. I guess it is my mistake that I didn't read the fine print on a website that doesn't care about usability. Ultimately, I did receive a product and it was apparently the exact product I ordered though I believe I was mislead to believe I was getting something more for the high priced flower, ridiculously high service fees, and delivery charges. They get a star for delivering something. Customer service doesn't care if you are happy regardless of the mantra on their pages; they are a business and want to sell flowers. From now on I'll just avoid them and personally contact my local florist.

This website is absolutely terrible. Every ** quality a company can have is demonstrated to perfection by 1-800-Flowers. Poor service, poor customer service, poor communication, etc. I ordered red, white, and blue flowers for my girlfriend who was competing in the Olympics for the U.S. and chose to have them delivered 3 days before she left the country. I ordered the flowers 2 weeks in advance and it wasn't until 12 hours before the flowers were supposed to be delivered, I received a phone call from 1-800-Flowers and was told the flowers were out of stock. AND they told me there was no possibility of getting any type of flower to her until after she left.
The customer service rep I was speaking to was from India and could barely speak English. She did not understand how the flowers needed to be delivered by a certain date and kept harassing me to order more flowers so she can get commission. Pathetic. Do yourself a solid and use a different company. All around awful experience, can't envision this company staying in business much longer.

Called me back at 2:30 pm to tell me couldn't be done and they would deliver them tomorrow because the florist did not have a red vase. I said the delivery for my proposal is what matters not colour of the vase and questioned, "Why take my order if you couldn't do it. Let me buy from another business that could not tell me 4 and half hrs later you can't then expect me to be happy with delivery tomorrow when my girlfriend who is a nurse is not at work." Worst customer service ever. I will never buy a single product here again and will recommend all others avoid it the plague. Provide the service you promise or don't take the money and let people shop elsewhere instead of being greedy and offering flimsy excuses. I only wish there was a negative selection.

I did, was informed my order could not be changed online (even though the delivery date was a month out). So I called, waited 5 minutes to get through to a live person, who listened and then said they couldn't hear me, and hung up. I called back, got another rep who wanted to spend 15 minutes telling me it was probably my fault; websites could be "so confusing". I kept repeating "don't talk anymore: just cancel the order and refund." (Enough already) Asked repeatedly for a supervisor. 90 minutes later got one; same questions! He FINALLY did as I asked and just canceled the order. Thank goodness. Too much of a hassle to go through when there's a problem with the order. Should be simpler.

The first time I ordered from 1-800-Flowers.com was for a sick co-worker. They never received the flowers that were ordered so I had to contact them again to verify and they sent the flowers the following day. I told myself this could have been a one time issue. I decided to order again for my sister's 50th birthday. That first big milestone birthday that everyone celebrates.
I ordered a fruit bouquet, balloon and some chocolate covered cherries for same day delivery. I received my order confirmation and nothing else. I emailed customer service to ask if there were any issues and if I should use another company and of course, never received a response. Well let's just say, the order was not delivered and I was not notified that there was an issue.
The following morning, I called customer service and was informed that they didn't have a florist in the area that could deliver the order. WHY is that not something that could not have been shared with me the same day. They did tell me that they could get it delivered from their company via FedEx but of course that wouldn't be for a couple days. UUUHHHH NO! The birthday has already passed. So I cancel the order.
Why do you tell me that you will cancel the order for the full amount (I would hope so) and you'll give me a $20 savings pass for my next order? THERE WILL BE NO NEXT ORDER. I've given them multiple opportunities to get it right and they have not done that once! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE!

I received an email that my flowers were being shipped, meanwhile I NEVER ORDERED any flowers! I didn’t see a charge on my account but was confused as to how an order could be shipped without a charge and assumed I would be getting charged very shortly. So I called the company to make sure they would not charge me and explained I did not order these flowers and the rep told me she would have someone in the florist shop call me to rectify the situation. The rep never called and 2 days later the flowers were delivered to the recipient and I received an email confirming they were delivered. So I called back and told them I was never called by the florist and ask them why this was happening. They said they could not tell me but would have someone from the florist office contact me.
When I told her I had already been told that 2 days ago, she told me there was nothing she could do but message the florist and I should wait until they contacted me. When I asked a phone number where I could call them at, she told me they don’t have a phone number. I asked if there was any other way I could contact them without having to wait so I could rectify this situation immediately, I was told there was absolutely no way for me to contact them and that I had to wait to be contacted. So I asked to speak to her supervisor who then proceeded to tell me the same thing.
So I asked who was over her in the chain of command because I absolutely was not going to wait for my card to be charged for these flowers I never ordered. She said she was the boss. I said, "There’s no one above you?" And she said, “I am the boss”. She kept repeating it. So I asked her if she was the owner of 1-800-Flowers and she just kept saying, “I am the boss”. Like what kind of response is that?!
My card is about to be charged almost $100 and there’s nothing I can do and you’re telling me there’s absolutely no way to fix this immediately?! That’s crazy!! And she just kept saying she was sorry, but obviously you’re not. There has to be someone with a phone in the florist office otherwise they wouldn’t be calling me from it!!! I was shopping for flowers for Mother's Day. Found a lovely arrangement priced at $49. Unfortunately the website won't give you a total amount due until you enter all the delivery information including your credit card info. At that point most sites give you a prompt with the total amount due, the delivery date and asking if you want to confirm the order. Instead it said thank you for your order. The amount due was over $80 and delivery was scheduled for the day AFTER Mother's Day. I decided to cancel since I was merely checking my options and did not intend to actually place the order. I was told by customer service that the order was noncancellable. I explained the situation and was told there was nothing they could do.
I asked to speak with a supervisor and was placed on hold for over 45 minutes then the call dropped. I called back and while on hold received a call from customer service. They had left a message giving a name and number of someone who was trying to assist me. I called back asking to speak with this person and was told they did not have a direct extension and since my account was being worked on by someone else the person I was speaking with could not assist me. I was told the rep who was handling my account would call me in the next 24 hours. No one called me back.
When my mother had not received any delivery at the end of the scheduled day I assumed it had been resolved. Two days after Mother's Day, my mother called to thank me for the flowers and sent a picture of the flowers. It was nothing even close to what I had ordered and two days late. Also the blooms were wide open and would only last a couple of days. Over $80 for the wrong arrangement, that the blooms are already about dead and two days late. I have ordered flowers online many times and this is the worst experience I have ever had. Actually, it's the worst experience I have had with any online order ever! I ordered flowers for my sister's birthday and Mother's day on April 30, 2018 for delivery on May 10, 2018. I tried to call 1-800-Flowers all night on May 10 and all day on May 11 to find out where the flowers were. Not only did no one answer the phone but after 4 hours of being on hold I was disconnected. I tried 10 times on the "let's chat" online. No one responded. On May 15, 2018, I relayed this information to the customer service person on 1-800-Flowers and she said they were delivered... I told her the wrong day. They were late. After arguing that they were not responsible...I asked who is. She said I can call FedEx. "Why would I do that. I did not hire them. You did" I said. She said she would refund the money. BUT I received my credit card bill and it was invoiced. Mary, at 1-800-Flowers lied.
In calling, again on June 2, 2018...not only was I told they would not refund the money but there was no evidence of me calling at all on May 15, 2018. "They were delivered and I could call FedEx." In escalating this to "Margie" (no last name or extension). She just stuck with policy. I asked her so if I asked 1-800-Flowers to send a funeral arrangement and they were late what would happen?? She said nothing. It's so nice to know that 1-800-Flowers does not care about their customers, they don't even admit when they are wrong. No wonder James McCann (Chairman) Chris McCann (CEO) got to be so rich. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF INSTILLING THIS IN YOUR EMPLOYEES. Hope everyone calls ProFlowers when you passed away.

I placed an order for my Mom's Memorial Service. This was in April of 2018. I called on the Monday prior to her memorial service that was on Saturday. I told them I needed the flowers delivered to the Church by that Friday afternoon, the day before the memorial service, no later than 4:30 p.m. I was told by the customer service representative, that was fine. The time came and my Father spoke to his church and they said the flowers weren't delivered, that it would need to be the day of the service. The next day, we arrived at the church, No flowers. I called prior to the service starting, and while I was on the phone, upset over my Mom's passing away, I handed the phone to my husband to take care of the problem. Finally the flowers arrived. No one that we talked to, seemed like they cared what had happened. I will never use this company again.

My experience with 1-800-Flowers has been spotty, at best. Half the time, what you order isn’t exactly what the recipient gets. One Thanksgiving, I reordered a table arrangement that was depicted with two candles; it arrived with one candle in it. The so-called “discount coupons” aren’t much of a bargain, due to unjustifiably high delivery and service charges that often cancel out the “savings”.
Years ago, my husband and I ordered a bouquet for a memorial service; all the peonies in it were wilted! How embarrassing! They would not give me a refund, but only offered to send out a substitute bouquet to the widow’s house. By then, the memorial was over. I once got a coupon from them for a “free order” — to compensate me for an order they previously goofed up — that no local florist would honor, so neither would they. So they tacked on an extra “surprise” fee to make up the difference. When I asked for a refund for the order they goofed up, they still wouldn’t honor their original offer of a free bouquet, nor would they give me a refund.

If I wasn't satisfied the first time, what makes them think I would make another purchase. I called them and was told they were resending her plant, and to watch my email for confirmation. Which neither one happened. I will never purchase from this company again. I am very unhappy, was lied to and my mother did not get a nice flower arrangement. I ordered flowers for Mother's Day (May 13) well in advance of that date, to be delivered the Friday before. About a week prior, I get a call saying that (with no explanation) the flowers could not be delivered that day and I would have to choose a different day. After responding to the call and suggesting a different delivery date, I expected that everything was fine. Until Mother's Day comes around and I have gotten no confirmation that flowers were shipped or delivered, which prompted me to contact customer service to find out what the situation was.
They informed me not to worry, the flowers would be delivered on... wait for it... May 22. That's a full NINE days AFTER Mother's Day and ELEVEN days after the original delivery date! The flowers were indeed delivered on that date in fine condition, but I was very unhappy with the experience. Apparently the best they could do to make it up to me was offer the same $20 savings credit they offer everyone else... which does me no good because I have precisely ZERO interest in using 1-800-Flowers ever again.

The package never left the warehouse. We will send you a $20 discount on your next order! How absurd!
When I said this was not acceptable, and that I would like to speak with a supervisor, I was told to leave my line open and that someone would be calling me back. Have you heard from the supervisor, because I certainly haven’t? Then I received a form letter email that said What can I say? I’m sorry. And it said that I could not reply to that email! When I received the email confirmation of my order he had really screwed up the name of the recipient's street. Not even close. I called customer service immediately and was told it would be changed and they would send me a confirmation. No confirmation came so I looked online and the address was not changed. So I called again and this time I was told the arrangement was out for delivery.
This had only been 20 minutes since the order was placed. I asked them how could the florist possibly do the arrangement that fast. Well, somehow the flowers did arrive to the correct address. But it was not anything like what was ordered. The flowers were old and they were cheap varieties, not what had been advertised at all. I immediately contacted 1-800-Flowers in which you never deal with the same customer service rep. twice. The first rep said my item would be redelivered at no cost to me with a $20 voucher on my next purchase. The next rep. wanted to know if I wanted the item redelivered. I stated I did since it was a gift. I then got a 3rd rep telling me the item couldn't be redelivered until 5/19/18. Being patient I responded better late than never. The 4th rep contacted me stating that the item I ordered (which was the wrong order number they were referencing) wasn't available in that area and wanted to send something completely different (it was ugly).
I responded that this was unacceptable and wanted what I originally ordered sent and that if it wasn't available then why did it arrive to my designated destination damaged the first time? The next rep. responded something about smiles being a part of their motto and again referenced a $20 voucher. At this point I'm extremely frustrated because none of the customer service reps. knows what the other had done or said. I then asked for a refund. My subtotal was $44.99 minus a $6.75 discount (delivery was about $18 which I did not seek restitution for) so my total should have been $38.24. I got yet another rep who stated my refund would only be $28.10. I sent yet another response showing what my refund should have been and to this date (5/17/18) I have not gotten a response.
I tried another tactic and reached out to 1-800-Flowers founder and CEO, Jim McCann who then sent a customer service robotic response that if the customer and recipient aren't smiling then 1-800-Flowers still has some work to do and again reiterated a $20 voucher. I'm still not smiling nor is my recipient. I don't want a voucher. I want a refund and to never do business with this company again. Even with this "voucher" I'm still not guaranteed that I won't have another issue like the one I just experienced. Once again, thank you for your feedback. We look forward to serving you again in the near future." I don't think so. Next time I contact a local florist with a proven record.

I ordered a flower arrangement for delivery on Mother's Day. The kids were exited to help and couldn't wait to see their mom receive the flowers. On Sunday, 5/13, I received an email confirmation saying the delivery was made. I checked outside, nothing. I called the number provided. They told me to wait until 6 pm. By 9 pm, I sent another email inquiring about my delivery with no response. I called several times in the following day. I made it very clear that I don't want the flowers re-delivered or any kind of discount coupon. I just want my refund. I was put on hold for over an hour waiting for a supervisor to get on the line. Nothing!!! This business cannot be allowed to continue treating people this way. This is a robbery. NEVER AGAIN WILL I DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY. OTHERS, PLEASE BE AWARE.

He refused to let me speak to a manager or give me a refund. He said the flowers would be delivered a week after Mother’s Day at the earliest. I will never use this company again.

I ordered flowers. First of all I couldn't understand the operator, foreign accent. Then when I checked my email next day I noticed spelling was incorrect in address. So when I called again couldn't understand operator and she couldn't find my order. I was told she would call me back in 10 minutes. Never happened. I ended up calling back in 20 minutes. Well I thought it was over until today when the ordered was to be delivered to my wife's job, she called saying it wasnt.
I then went to my emails, where I see they couldn't make my order til two days after delivery date. So why wasn't I called? If the money for payment was suddenly declined they would've called. So I didn't get anything extra to the order. No money off purchase. Nothing but smoke blown up. Well 1-800-Flowers was my choice for years since me and my wife have been living apart for 6 years due to my job. But now they have went downhill with hiring of people that can't pronounce words correctly and can't use a computer to find orders. So a scale of 1 to 10 I rate them as a negative 1000. One would only "assume" that when using 1-800-FLOWERS, you would be getting an arrangement from a reputable florist. It's really worrisome because it makes you wonder how many times our friends & loved ones have received something like this & we never know. I know 1-800-FLOWERS is just the online business. But, because they offer this convenience, they are responsible. And, obviously, the jerk that put our sister's floral arrangement (if you can even call it that) together, is not a florist, nor does he have a floral boutique. In saying that, it makes me wonder what sort of criteria one has to have in order to register as a "florist" with 1-800-FLOWERS.

Call CS, the answer was, "We deliver up to 8:00 pm, wait." 7:30 pm email came stating that flowers were delivered. Call recipient- no flowers. Call back to 1-800-Flowers, spent 40+ min on the phone, they were offering me 20% discount for the next purchase (never came) and rescheduling for the next day (no confirmation email came). Is exactly what they spit out. I actually took the time to make an account on here to specifically express my anger for "1-800-flowers". The name itself sounds cheap, and I'm not sure what compelled me to choose them over any other flower business, but let me tell you. What a total waste of money! Firstly, I ordered my mom a big bouquet of flowers with large chocolates and a balloon for Mother's Day. I ordered it that same day and because they were full, I had ordered it to arrive at my mom's house today 5/14. Well, guess what? That's not what happened. They did not come at all today and I had received an email at 10 am as it shows on the pic saying it was ready to deliver. So all day I was tracking it online to see when it would come, because it was supposed to be a surprise for my mom, but ended up to be a surprise gone wrong.
I called them finally at 7:50, officially giving up hope that they were going to send today and was told how it was ready at 10 am and for that "some reason it was not sent". Like what kind of excuse is that? This is supposed to be a legit place of business and they just played around with my money! I'm a teen who goes to college and does not work so over $100 in flowers is not a joke to me. I can't afford that kind of money going to waste and all I got offered was some lousy $20 gift card for future purchases!? Like I do not want to purchase anything else from them again, I just wanted my mom's damn flowers to get there on time.
We compromised on a extra balloon for free which is not much but at this point, the damage was done. All know is if they don't get there tomorrow as promised, I will ask for a refund and make that my mission. If there is anything to take from this long rant is that, I highly do not recommend 1-800-flowers. You're better off making your mom a homemade card rather than this baloney. At least then, you can rest assured that she will get something on time!

Here's a not so pleasant experience I have had with 1-800-Flowers, Mother's Day order that went completely wrong, mainly due to greedy pockets. My decision to make this post is spotlighted the day after Mother's Day, what better way to bring to attention matters dealing with companies and how they screw us over. This post has a 3 part connection.
(1st)... I place an order with 1-800-Flowers on Wednesday of last week for Mother's Day. It was scheduled to be deliver on Friday per the email notice sent. The order was connected to a Southwest Rapid Rewards program to get 1,927 points for flights. Okay, we'll get back to that later. No delivery was made on Friday. Saturday afternoon I called 1-800-Flowers to check on delivery status. Up to this point I had received NO Updates... their customer service person tell me the order has been canceled by the local florist. It is now 4:00 pm where my mom lives. They had the nerve to offer a Tuesday delivery. What the **. Okay, now I'm pissed. Of course I refused, and demanded an immediate refund.
(2nd) I was told it will take 3-5 days for these maggots to return my refund, all while they make interest on (my $). Here's another prime example of rich corporate oppression, and greed! On top of that, I'm sure you all are aware of how America has been sold right from under our feet, and we go on and take the screwing. I may sound harsh, I'm not the type to hold back. After all we do still have freedom of speech... or do we??? I remember the days of Dr. King, I remember the boycotts & effect it had. What happen to that mindset. That's how it's done! We all have a better way to fight greed today... SOCIAL MEDIA!
Now on to the (3rd) part!... After talking with the 800 flowers rep, I decided to ask him what state he's located... ha-ha, he said the Philippines. Well what else is new. More American jobs for dirt cheap labor being farmed out by companies. I must also put Southwest Airlines on notice for the devious business practices in dealing with cheaters. WAKE UP AMERICA! I will send my mother a gift later in the week. So sad that greed is covering the planet. Below is the email response from their automated email system. "Here's an update on your delivery! 1-800-Flowers.com. Hi Leo, Your order, **, is being prepared for today’s delivery. As soon as our shop notifies us that your delivery has been made, we’ll send you a delivery confirmation email. Thanks again for trusting us with your business."

I also had an issue with 1-800-Flowers. I ordered flowers early Saturday morning, 5/12, for Mother’s Day delivery. About 5 minutes after I placed the order, I received an email confirmation that stated they would be delivered Monday, 5/14. I know I waited until the last minute to order them so I wasn’t upset about that but I did not want them delivered anymore. About 5 min after I received the confirmation text I called 1-800-Flowers and they told me that it was too busy and that they could not cancel the order... wth... So I called my credit card company and they told me that the payment was still pending and that they could not do anything about it until it posted but they said since it’s still pending, 1-800-Flowers can still cancel it.
So I call back thinking maybe if I get a different customer service rep that maybe it will be cancelled. Well of course this customer service rep tells me the same thing... can’t cancel the order because it’s too busy!! I will never ever use this company again and I will also be posting this story on my Facebook page so all my family and friends will know how horrible their customer service is!!!
Updated on 08/02/2018: I left a review just after Mother’s Day about my horrible experience with 1-800-Flowers. My credit card company was very helpful and reversed the charges. It was originally billed on my statement as 1-800-Flowers and then reversed under 1-800-Flowers. I was just going over my credit card statement and I was billed again on July 14th for the flowers again but this time it was billed under Transactis and underneath it stated florist. Unbelievable, if I hadn’t checked my statement I would not have known that they tried charging me again two months later. I will be calling my credit card company again and reporting what they did. Obviously, they could not charge me under 1-800-Flowers again so they used another service to charge me. Please do not order flowers from them, do yourself a big favor.

I should have read the consumer reports before going with the company. I order my mother flowers on the 10th of May and asked them to deliver them on the 12th, due to be on the cautious side, but I did say the 13th would be okay. Well, apparently when they called my mom and went to her house, they were not home. When they reached back to 1800Flowers, they were told to try again the next day/or 14th, I'm not sure yet which it is. Thus the email correspondence started today and they are totally fine with not having my purchased product delivered on the correct day(s).
Here are a couple of highlights from there customer "care" reps: "Your gift will soon be on its way! Our florists are hard at work preparing it, and will let us know as soon as it's ready to go out. Look for a confirmation email from us." Got the gem 3 times today. "Florist messaged us if they will leave the arrangement outside, we responded that they should try to re-deliver it yesterday which is May 13th, but the shop did not open so the delivery will be today from 9AM and not later than 8PM." Read that and swallow that pill... Needless to say, this is the first time I have ever written a consumer report. If you think that stuff is crazy, I have all the emails from this company and the names of all the reps that sent them.

They were not delivered, on the 10th, the 11th, the 12th or even on Mother’s day itself, the 13th! When I emailed, I got a prompt refund of $60.95USD. However, because (I guess), I am dealing with customer service in the US for a Canadian order, I am short $5.37USD.
I called today and spent ½ an hour on the phone with customer service, to complain about the non-delivery and the short refund. The nice person on the call understood the problem and wanted to help me, after 20 minutes on the phone she could not process the credit because my account has already been credited once and wanted to pass me to the billing department to settle the difference. After another 10 minutes on the call, she could not get through and asked me to call them directly. Well, I’m not going to that. I have spent enough time on the problem already. I am going to take a $5.37 loss on this transaction and I am NEVER going to do business with 1800Flowers.ca again. This was completely awful. I purchased my mother's flowers 2 weeks before Mother's Day. I spent over $300 on several orders with them and they NEVER delivered my mother's flowers on Mother's Day. I called customer service at 6:30 pm ON Mother's Day because I had received an email at 10 am that morning that they were preparing the arrangement. They told me at 6:30 pm that they were still going to deliver them that night - I asked "Even though it's 6:30 at night??" He confirmed they would still be delivered. Guess what? Next day, still no delivery. I called customer service - they tried lying to me saying that they "attempted" to deliver them - not knowing I had called them the previous night, that they confirmed delivery was not yet attempted. When I called them today, they offered me $20 off my next purchase.
I told them it was ridiculous because my mom didn't get anything on Mother's Day. I told them I wanted a refund and for the flowers to still be delivered because I called them the night of Mother's Day so I could go buy her flowers if she wasn't getting the delivery. They lied to me when they said they were still going to be delivered. She said she would process the refund AND still deliver the flowers. Then gets back on the line after 30 minutes saying she issued the refund. I then asked that she confirm the flowers would still be delivered and she says "oh no, we can't do that. I canceled the order with the delivery company." I am so angry.
Then I tell her to cancel my "passport" with them because I'm never ordering from them again. I am on hold for another half an hour. She never told me she was transferring me. Then that person told me that they couldn't cancel the passport because it wasn't on the same order as the flowers that were being refunded WHEN IT WAS ON THE SAME EXACT ORDER. After I told her to look at the order again - she said "oh, ok. You'll receive your refund in 30-45 business days." WOOOWWW! So here I am the day after Mother's Day with no flowers delivered to my mom, while they hold my money for up to 45+ days. DO NOT BUY WITH THEM UNLESS YOU ENJOY UTTER DISAPPOINTMENT.

I shouldn't be surprised to see all the negative reviews here, and wished I had checked sooner. After getting a notice from "FromYouFlowers" saying 1 of my 2 orders wouldn't be able to be delivered until the day after Mother's Day along with the option to accept with a discount or cancel, I chose to cancel after ordering with 1-800-Flowers which had a guaranteed delivery of the Friday before Mother's Day. Big mistake. Obviously, your flowers weren't delivered Friday, and Saturday night, when I talked to their off-shore call center, I was assured the flowers would be delivered Sunday. On Sunday, when I called again, I was told there was some kind of miscommunication with the florist, and some issue with Bill pay, although 1-800-Flowers had already taken the money.
I was put on hold, again, as the call center person supposedly looked up florist in the small Alabama town I was sending to in order to see if they could create and deliver arrangement on Mother's Day (yeah, right). Big surprise, that wasn't possible, so their solution was to deliver it the day after Mother's Day, and give me a $20 voucher for future use from a business I will never use again. But they could guarantee me delivery after Mother's Day. What a scam. I could call any florist in town and get delivery after Mother's Day myself, which is what I did after I canceled my useless 1-800-Flowers order. I wish I just stuck with my original FromYouFlowers order, because even though it was going to be late, at least they had the decency to inform me of what was going on and offer some solutions. If I hadn't contacted 1-800-Flowers myself, I would have thought my flowers were going to be delivered on time. I will never use this business again.

My husband had originally ordered flowers for his mother for Mother's Day. Once we found out she wouldn't be in town that week I tried to call and cancel the order. They said it was too late, even though Mother's Day was days away. So I told them to just send it to me since my mother was in town that weekend and I can give it to her. It was suppose to be delivered yesterday, but no luck. Found out that they have been attempting to deliver to the wrong address. Apparently she changed my street address (which was also spelled incorrectly) but she didn't change the state and the zip code.
I did mention multiple times to just send it to the same address as the billing address. I called them to tell them to just cancel it and give me a refund because my mother is leaving town tomorrow and I'm not going to be here either. She said all she can do is redeliver it in Monday. I asked, "Why would I want flowers sent to my place when no one will be there?" Perhaps they should hire competent workers that know how to correctly update people's full address. I don’t know how they can still be in business when they clearly don’t care about their customers. There goes $170.

I understand that there are times when a florist will need to make minor substitutions when the seasonal flowers or plants are unavailable, but what they delivered was not even remotely close and looked like a much cheaper arrangement. (I had ordered the large "classic sympathy dish garden.") When I contacted 1-800-Flowers the next morning, I was promised a re-delivery the following day, which NEVER arrived.
I called back the following day and spoke with 3 different reps. The first 2 times I was conveniently disconnected each time we got to the point where they were once again confirming re-delivery. The 3rd time I called back, I calmly gave the rep my phone number and email address and asked him to please contact me should we get disconnected again. It has now been over 3 days and no phone call, no re-delivery, just an e-mail with a $20 Savings Pass on my next order. Needless to say, I will not order from 1-800-Flowers or any of their affiliates again, nor would I recommend them.

I placed a order for a edible arrangement and box of assorted sweets for Mother’s Day. During this process they ask for the zip code in which the order will be sent. (This is to verify that there is a florist in said zip code that can complete this order.) After entering the zip code all is good. The order goes through. They charge my card. I call the customer service number because it didn’t give me a option to set a time for delivery and it’s then they tell me, “I’m sorry but there is no florist in the area that can complete your order so you will need to wait 3 business days to get your money back.” I ask to speak to a supervisor and the customer service rep talks over me and argues with me for over 5 minutes denying me the right to speak to a supervisor.
I’m a working man, I don’t get over on scamming the next person. I work hard for my money and in today’s day and age it does not go far so they take my money and leave me little to no means to send my mother a gift who lives on the other side of the country from me. My mother works and takes care of other people for a living. She breaks her back every day and all I wanted was to show her that she is appreciated for what she does and I chose 1-800-Flowers as my way to do so, and just when they claim they can come through they totally drop the ball and ruin this. And then have the nerve to treat me like I’m in the wrong. This company cannot live up to what they claim they can and all they seem to do is cause good people a lot of grief. It’s a shame places like 1-800-Flowers exist. Scamming the public.

A refund with a $20 gift card, they still do not get it! I called today to check on an order that was supposed to be delivered on Thursday May 10. I placed the order on April 20th. First I was told the order was shipped and received a FedEx number, I then checked FedEx and found the order was never shipped. Then I was told the order was not shipped because there was no local florist who accepted the delivery but they would ship it so it would arrive on Wednesday, three days after Mother's Day. Then the manager explained it was my fault it was not shipped because the item I ordered was unavailable and they could not reach me by phone. I then had to tell her I knew they were substituting the item because they sent me an email which notified me they were switching product. Then the manager once again told me that they could not ship my order. I have no idea why they can call me and email me to tell me the product is not available but they cannot call me to tell me it will not ship.
I spent over 1 1/2 hours today to get this resolved. Finally they refunded my money. The sad thing is I would have paid double if they would have shipped it as promised. So now, my 90 year old mother will not receive flowers from her daughter and family for Mother's Day - all because 1-800-Flowers can't tell you when they will not ship your order.

I placed an order last week to arrive today. When I placed the order last week I NEVER received a confirmation email. I didn't even know if the order went through! But the money was taken out of my bank account so I was assured the order was processed. After calling one of the reps, I received my order number. This is the first time I asked for some type of receipt or confirmation email. She told me "rest assured, we will send you the email right now." I didn't get the email.
I tried tracking the order using the order number they gave me... "This order number is invalid." All in all, I called them about 5 times, asking for some proof the order was processed, that the flowers will be delivered, etc. They told me the same thing that the order was processed and will be delivered on time and they will send me an email. After checking every Spam, Trash, Promotions Folder in my inbox, I can confirm I've never received any confirmation or delivery email. I'm just disappointed. Wanted to surprise my mother with flowers and I don't even know if my order went through. But I'll get my money back! One way or another.

Throughout the timeframe I called about 5 times to follow up on orders as I did not receive any delivery confirmation emails ~ clearly there were some communication challenges. After requesting to be transferred to customer service in USA I was told that it was not an option and phone disconnected. DO NOT ORDER from 1-800-Flowers!!! I ordered flowers to be delivered the Friday BEFORE Mother's day. Not only did they NOT come, but I had to call 3 times to finally cancel. There were 2 other deliveries on that order and both were going to the same address, since my mom and aunt live together. One of them was actually delivered on time, however, they were left by the garage and nobody rang the doorbell. I called customer service and was ASSURED that they would be delivered by 8:00 pm their time. At 8:30 their time, there was still no delivery. So, I called customer service again. They offered to redeliver, but could not tell me what time they would be delivered. They were not delivered!
It's now Mother's Day and I called AGAIN and they said they would be redelivered. I purchased their "Passport Service Membership" - by mistake 2 years ago and it's recently been automatically renewed. Obviously, not what I had expected for the $109.00 I paid. I called to express my disappointment and a redelivery was suppose to be done on 5/12. As of 5/13, no redelivery has been completed and 1-800-Flowers can’t explain why. I ordered flowers on Monday 5/7 to be delivered Friday 5/11 for my grandmother. The 11th was a very difficult day for our family since it had been 1 year since my grandfather had passed away. I wanted to send my grandmother something from her grandchildren to help brighten her day. We spent $72 on flowers for her. When Friday came I anticipated a phone call or text of a very happy grandmother. I called 1-800-Flowers THAT morning to make sure the address was correct & they confirmed it was. Around 6:00 when my grandmother had not received her flowers I called again. The lady reassured me the florist wrote a note that morning saying the flowers were being prepared so we should expect them at 7:00.
At 6:30 I got a delivered email but no text from my gram. I called for a third time. The man asked me a bunch of questions and told me that in my area deliveries can go as late as 8:00 (after I told them they were delivered and not received) he then told me multiple times that someone must not have been home to receive them, I kindly told him my cousin was grilling outside. I asked to speak to a manager and I was told the managers are busy on a call, I told them I would wait and he told me the managers cannot speak to us because they are too busy.
Long story short, I had to call my bank to get my money back to dispute the charge because the man on the phone couldn’t understand the concept, ‘if I pay for a product and I don’t have the product I want my money back.’ I had to write all over 1-800-Flowers' social media accounts to get the attention of someone. From there they credited my account. This company is awful. Children can run a company better than this one. Stay far away from 1-800-Flowers. Picking your own flowers and hand delivering them yourself is well worth it.

I placed an order for flowers on May 4th, to be delivered May 12th. These are Mother's Day flowers. I chose May 12th, as I knew the recipient would be home, and wanted to avoid delivery on actual Mother's Day. The email confirmation stated guaranteed delivery on OR BEFORE 5/12. On the 12th, I received an email stating the flowers were delivered. I contacted my recipient, and they had not received them. I called 1-800 flowers customer service and spoke to a woman who could not speak or understand the English language. She told me my flowers are on a truck somewhere, the florist is now closed, and my flowers would be delivered 5/13 or 5/14. I told her this was unacceptable! On a truck somewhere? In the Arizona heat?! So I'm sure flowers will be dead and wilted when and IF they ever arrive.
This rep went round and round with me, telling me it really doesn't matter anyway since it's not mothers day yet anyway. So I asked, why did the original email say on or before 5/12? And why did I get an email saying it was delivered when it wasn't? She continued to blame the local florist and just kept telling me the florist is closed for the night. She spoke to me as if I was an unintelligent child. I asked for a refund, that was a big no-can-do. I was offered a 20% credit to my 1-800 flowers account.
I wanted my $60 credited back to my credit card. I asked to speak to a manager. After 20 minutes on and off hold. I was told her manager was far to busy with other customers (probably more people with missing orders) and that they would attempt to call the florist in the morning. Total I was on the phone for 47 minutes, received no help, no apology, no refund, and no sure answer if the $60 flowers would eventually arrive. What a mess. I will never order from them again. I can handle paying for overpriced flowers for a loved one when I can't hand deliver them myself. But overpriced, rude customer service, no assistance, no answers, and no flowers! I paid $60 for frustration!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

I called back to have this corrected. After speaking to several different people, one representative finally said, "Here's what I can do for you. I can refund you $30." Like he was doing me a favor.
5/10/18 comes and my grandma sends me a picture of her and her flowers. Which looked NOTHING like what I ordered. I was extremely embarrassed. I call 1-800-Flowers to voice how unhappy I was and they offer a redeliver at a later date. However what they failed to tell me was they would pick up the already delivered flowers from my grandma, then redeliver 10 days later. I don't know how they have managed to grow as much as they have. The representatives are extremely hard to understand and don't listen to anything the customer is saying. They simply read off a script. Although I have not yet tried it with 1-800-Flowers, I've learned if you call a business with a "happy" attitude and say you wish to compliment an outstanding experience in they'll put a manager or supervisor on the line fairly quickly, then you can tell them all about your awful experience.

I called them to have flowers delivered the Thursday, May 10, before Mother's Day. I submitted my order on the 5th of May. I wanted early delivery so the flowers would not get jammed up on Mother's Day weekend. I waited and tracked to see when the flowers would be delivered. They were never delivered. I received a confirmation email stating delivery would the 17th. I emailed them and ask for earlier delivery stating that the 17th was not acceptable. I specifically ordered early so this would not happen. They told me it was not possible. They apologized for delay and said they are doing everything they can to make an earlier date. As I returned a response to them throughout the day, I realized that there were at least 5-6 different people sending me emails and some messages were "canned" and I was getting different reasons why delivery was not possible until the 17th.
At some point, I just wanted to cancel the order. One person told me the flowers were in route and it was not possible to cancel the order, but when I checked, they were not even made yet. Another person stated that they could substitute a different item--and their English was barely understandable-- but that still, it could not be delivered until the 15th. Furious at this point, I called my credit card company and ask if there was anything we could do to cancel payment or stop it. The gentleman told me I could file a dispute, but that payment had already been processed and could not be stopped. "That is one of the issues with ordering online," I said, "Irritating!"
So I have filed a claim, and will see what happens. But unfortunately for me, pretty sure I will not get my 80$ back. I do not recommend this company. They have terrible customer service and suck. (I will not get into the rudeness and plan lack of concern I experienced with some) At the start I was just looking to get fresh flowers delivered to my Mom in time for Mothers day, not a discount or a coupon. I was told by 3 different people that the best they could do would be to deliver fresh flowers by the 15th, 2 days after Mother's Day and I would get a 50% discount. No luck with customer service so I asked for the corporate number, 15 minutes with them and I was told the same thing. While on hold I went online to their website and started the process of ordering again to see I could get the delivery before Mother's day. Oddly enough I could for double the price! I went ahead and selected a vase and boutique then selected delivery for today, 5/11/18. I double checked the date prior to typing in the delivery address. I moved on to the billing address then gift card and finally credit card payment. Upon selecting place order, I immediately noticed on the confirmation page the delivery date was changed to 5/18/18. Which is one week after my selected date. I immediately contacted customer service. The gentleman I spoke to acted as if he did not understand my question of why a date I clearly chose and double checked was changed in the system automatically.
My question never was answered. He said I could not have a refund nor change the date. I explained this was not an error on my end but their end. If the delivery date I selected was not available why did the system not prompt me to select another date? The frustration continue as the guy placed me on multiple holds and finally a permanent hold which lasted for nearly 30 minutes. I made this order for Mother's Day and realized it was the wrong date (one week after mother's day), and I contacted the customer support immediately if it is possible to make changes to Saturday or even next Monday, one day past Mother's Day. The reply I got was they were not able to change it to Monday, they can make Tuesday the earliest, two days past Mother's Day. I then asked if it is able to cancel the order, and the reply I got was no. So this order cant be changed or canceled by all means. Even I offered to make new order right now, they still got the money, just let me cancel the existing one. The answer was still NO. So there was no way out for this situation, and I've spent 30 mins discussing with them and got no good solution.
I end up don't want to buy any more, not even making new orders because who knows they gonna charge me another $50 bucks but not able to deliver on the time I wanted. Besides, I am a member of ShopRunner, supposed to get the delivery within two days, and free returns and refund, they also neglect that. The website is ridiculous to not able to make changes, not able to cancel, not caring about meeting customer satisfaction and retaining new customer (say if they able to cancel the order and I immediately make new one, they could still get the money with nothing to lose, but they chose not to). I ended up canceling a portion of my order and have been assured multiple times that the remainder of my order would be delivered 5/10. As of today, 5/11/18, it has not been delivered, and the expected delivery date is still 5/14. Anyone I speak with on the phone does not understand English. You are on the phone explaining again and again the situation. I demand to speak with a supervisor, but one never comes on the phone. Do not do business with this company.

The pictures below will speak for themselves. You will see the huge discrepancy on what I ordered and what I actually got. Basically I spent roughly $65 ($15 on a Groupon and $49.25 directly on 1-800-Flowers website) for an arrangement that all the flowers were smushed together and over half were discolored and dying. When I called customer Service I spoke to “Allee”. Initially, Allee said a better bouquet would be re-delivered tomorrow. I told Allee, no thanks on getting another sub-par arrangement (per their policy) and I just wanted a refund.
Allee agreed to issue my refund. She left me on hold for seemingly forever to process my refund. When she finally returned, she said she could only offer me a 50% discount. I asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told the supervisor was busy. I requested the supervisor’s name, but Allee said she couldn’t tell me the supervisor’s name because it’s prohibited. Needless to say, hours have now passed since I called and still no refund. I should have checked these reviews first. 1-800-Flowers is certainly practicing false advertising.

I ordered flowers for our 21st wedding anniversary, which is today, to be sent to my wife at the school where she works. I received a FedEx tracking number so I assumed all would go smoothly. Boy was I ever wrong! The flowers never arrived. When I called customer service, a lady with broken English answered and I could barely understand her. Basically, she gave me the runaround and said that the flowers would probably arrive tomorrow. I told her first of all, tomorrow isn’t our anniversary - it is today - and second of all, my wife doesn’t work on Friday’s so she won’t even be at the school to receive them. I asked for a full refund so I could go purchase some flowers on my way home from work and was told “no” after being on hold for 25 minutes.
I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told he wasn’t there. Then I was hung up on. I called back and got a different person to whom I told my story. I asked for a full refund. Then this guy gave me the runaround. I asked for a manager. He said the manager was busy but he would have him call me back. Of course, he never did call me back. 30 minutes later I happened to check my credit card statement on my cell phone and couldn’t believe my eyes. I had been fraudulently charged by 1-800-FLOWERS for a second bouquet for $71.00 to be delivered to a person that I don’t even know in Pennsylvania!
So not only did my wife not receive the flowers that I paid for, I received no refund and then some guy named Albert who obviously works for 1-800-FLOWERS sent his mom a Mother’s Day Bouquet on my dime. Unbelievable! I will never do business this company again. I hope that Chris McCann, the CEO of the company sees this. Sir, I am sure you are a nice man, but your employees, at least the ones I encountered today are highly unprofessional. They are liars and unethical thieves in my opinion. You should be embarrassed and ashamed that they represent your brand. I mean, have you seen all of the negative reviews on this site alone? ALL of these people with the same complaints over and over again cannot be collectively wrong.
This is a indication that there is a real issue with the inner workings of your business and the issues run deep. In choosing which company to use to send flowers to my wife this week, I could have gone with any number of businesses, but I choose 1-800-FLOWERS and I trusted you to deliver. You absolutely did not! In fact you failed and now the moment has passed. The anniversary surprise is dead and gone. Your company dropped the ball and I am very disappointed. Sorry it’s the truth. Thanks for nothing 1-800-FLOWERS. I’m done.

It' s their responsibility to make sure they have competent flowers shops before accepting orders and mostly charging outrageous amount of money for few stupid flowers. This service I believe is supposed to be based on extreme punctuality.

First phone call they needed to change my order. They did have what I ordered. Second phone call they couldn't deliver that order. They didn't have it. Third phone call they're not sure why they called so they hung up. Fourth phone call once again they couldn't complete the order that they substituted for my original order. Once again, they couldn't substitute the order they substituted. (Very confusing) So, now I am waiting for the next phone call to tell me they can't complete that order. I've used them a few times before for non-local events but last week I used them for a funeral that I ended up attending. The price of the arrangement was 149.99 and with delivery and tax included it was 181.88. What had been delivered looked nothing like what had been ordered. Not equivalent blossoms, not as many blossoms, no ribbon, and undersized. Rather than showing my respects, it demonstrated a lack of respect; it was embarrassing. I have no problem paying a premium for quality service and quality product so what has been upsetting is that customer service refuses to refund what they charged me when what was delivered was not what was ordered. Despite their written policies and what is clearly unacceptable (or certainly should be considered so), they have agreed only that I have to pay for half of the product price and all of the delivery and tax. They have also provided a $20 coupon on my next order.
It appears that the local florist is delivering something undersized, with different flowers and without extras (like a ribbon); but they can get paid in full. If the customer is not local, who will ever know. I've always relied upon this company to deliver something that at least looks close to what was ordered. And it's not like they didn't have my contact details if they had to make major changes... But the diminutive size, many fewer blossoms, different flowers and the lack of a ribbon convince me they were not attempting to provide what was ordered...
They clearly intended to just provide something that might get by for less cost to them. I've attached photos of what I ordered and what they delivered. 1-800-Flowers.com depends on a large number of local florists to fulfill their orders but when they encounter fraudulent abuse, they need to worry more about dropping that florist and making it up to the customer. They have not done so and I will not be spending any more money with them.

Wow - just wow. Perhaps the worst customer service I have ever experienced. In one order - ordered online for 3 bouquets to be delivered to 3 different addresses. There was a problem getting a florist to deliver to one of the addresses, so I got a phone call to substitute a FedEx arrangement, but they couldn't tell me which of the 3 bouquets that I ordered was affected. The call center staff are not trained and were uncertain about processes; poor English of those at the call center compounded the issue (as I am hard of hearing and have trouble with heavy accents).
Thought the issue had been resolved, when I received another phone call regarding the same delivery. I asked to be transferred to a supervisor, because 7 minutes on the phone of trying to find out what the issue was seemed a little excessive. Put on hold for 2 minutes, and then was disconnected. Called back and spent another 12 minutes on the phone again trying to resolve the issue. I will never use this site again.

This was not described when the order was placed. I called the following day as they still did not arrive and they said it was due to the color of the flowers not being in stock (unsure why I wasn't made aware of this the previous day). I asked why they couldn't replace them with another color. They said they would and redeliver them. I asked for compensation as they were late, they said they could not accommodate. The flowers still never showed.
I called again to ask for a refund. They said they would oblige as they were not delivered. The refund never was processed. I called again and they said I would have to phone when the loyalty department was open. It has been 2 weeks at this moment and I cannot believe a company like this is in business. First of all they advertise a 24 for $24 special for Mothers Day. Then with services fees it almost doubles the price. One order was $39 and the other $43 after fees and taxes, when it was supposed to be $24. Whatever, still an OK deal... However, they have a call center in the Philippines. Which can be OK with competent staff. But they are slow, do not understand what you are saying, have echos on the phone, and take FOREVER to enter an order. I was on the phone with the first rep for 20 minutes and did not get the order placed. I hung up and called again and got a Filipino lady who was much faster, but still messed up. I got charged on my CC immediately, but never got an email confirmation of the order for either one. Called back and was promised I would have the emails in 24-48 hours. Still never got them.
When I finally emailed their customer service to get a copy of the confirmation, the message they added for the recipient was technically correct, but the capitalization and punctuation were totally wrong. I emailed them back to ask them to change it, and they told me it was already en-route and they could not change it, even though delivery was scheduled for 6 days away. And they still will not show me the message entered on the second order after asking 4 times in emails to provide it to me.
Every step of the process was HORRIBLE. From placing the initial order, to trying to find out why one was charged more than the other, to never getting my email confirmation of the orders, to poorly constructed messages to the recipient, to poor email customer support. I received an email and text confirmation. On 4/27 I received an email and a text message at 11:20 AM EST that both deliveries had been made. At 1:20 PM the same day someone left a message on my phone, it was very difficult to understand as the caller had a heavy accent but it was from a florist who referenced my Aunt’s address and said there was an issue with the delivery. The caller left a phone number but when I called the number back, once I started speaking, the person who answered said, “No English.”, and then hung up.
I called 1800 Flowers and asked first why I received a message that the delivery had been made when it obviously had not been. The person I spoke to said, "So oh, they send them out just to let you know it is on the way." I said that was absurd and why would they tell me it had been delivered when it had not been. I was put on hold while 1800 flowers contacted the florist. The customer service person came back and said there was no issue and the delivery had been made. I asked if both the flowers and the cake had been delivered and was told I only ordered flowers and a balloon.
I informed them that I also ordered a cake and it was in the confirmation I received under the same order number. At this point I asked to speak to a supervisor. They said the supervisor was on another line. I said I would hold. I held for about 10-15 minutes and the same person came back and said the supervisor was “much too busy to come to the phone.” I ended the call at that point. Something is really wrong here and their customer service is horrible.

A week before the requested delivery date I ordered flowers and chocolate as a birthday gift for my Mom. On April 17, 2018 at approximately 6:30 p.m. I received an email confirmation from 1800flowers that my ordered had been delivered. I was at my Mom's and there was no delivery so I called customer service. They got in touch with the florist that was responsible for the delivery and they said the delivery confirmation was sent because the florist was closing the store for the night. The florist said they were dropping the flowers off on their way home from work. I placed the order a week in advance and it gets delivered at the end of the day a week later.
When the flowers finally arrived they did not look anything like what I had ordered online. A pretty polka-dot vase ended up being a smiley face. The arrangement was much smaller than what was presented online and I had selected the medium arrangement. The chocolate that I paid for was never delivered. It is embarrassing and upsetting that the flowers weren't delivered until the end of the day. This isn't the first time the flower arrangements were smaller and less grand than what was presented online. Good luck if you read this review and still decide to order flowers from 1800flowers.

I used this company for five 3-month flower subscriptions for our nonprofit. I needed to change the address for one of the recipients the day after the order was placed. I called the company and requested confirmation of the change of address. The address they changed it to was incorrect, as was the name of the recipient. This happened TWICE more where the flowers were sent to the wrong address. Each time I called, the representative assured me that they understood my request, and each time it was wrong, again.
After the three months, I then received confirmation for two more orders. I had to call again and they told me that for those recipients, they had a 12-month subscription. I requested a cancellation with confirmation. The associate assured me he'd "made a note." The confirmation never came. The flowers were again sent anyways, and I was charged anyways. I called again, and was told that I could not be refunded because the order that I had previously cancelled had already been delivered. I had to tell the representative the date I had called and that there had been "a note made" which she could just then see. She put me on hold twice more before confirming that she was indeed able to make the refund, but had to put me on hold to make sure she could send me a confirmation.
Each time I called (ended up being 7 times total) I was on the phone for at least 30 minutes. On hold for the majority of the time, and transferred to at least two representatives each time. I will never use this company again, and I will always advise others to avoid it as well. I have never been so dissatisfied that I have been driven to write a consumer review, and hope to never again be.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. The recipient will never get their flowers. Bought a Groupon. They gave me a discount to this company so I'm out the money for the flowers plus the Groupon. I'm filing a formal complaint. They said no florist would take the order in my town. I have a ton of florists in my town.

I paid $81 for two dozen roses to be delivered to my wife for her birthday while I was away on business. 1-800-Flowers assured they would be delivered to NH on time. They shipped them FedEx from NJ via Tennessee. I contacted 1-800-Flowers support when I saw the FedEx status and 1-800-Flowers just plain lied to me saying "I checked, don't worry the delivery is on time". The flowers still haven't arrived. Customer support didn't want to refund my purchase, tried offering me a refund for "shipping". 1-800-Flowers is clearly shady. I would never depend on them again!!!

I am on hold for the sixth time today. I called last week to order flowers for my Aunt and Uncle's 50th Wedding Anniversary. I ordered flowers from the US to be delivered to the UK. I ordered for the flowers on March 30th. They were guaranteed to be delivered on April 5th. After calling on April 5th to say the flowers had not yet been received, I was assured they'd be there by end of day on April 5th (England time). After calling twice on April 6th (flowers still didn't arrive), I received a "confirmation of delivery" email. My family never received the flowers and the company was unable to provide any signature confirming anyone had received the flowers.
Today is the 9th and they've charged my account, my family hasn't received the flowers. I have exchanged over 14 phone calls, totaling hours of my time waiting on hold and being assured time and time again that the flowers would be delivered. I have filed an official complaint with BBB and I hope NO ONE has to deal with the upset of sending a loved one something, only to have them wait at home for it for days to arrive---and it never comes! I want a refund. I want an apology. I want them to not get away with this again.

Absolutely the worst! I ordered flowers for a house in PEI; got the confirmation they would be delivered that day. The next day, I get an email from a no-reply address, that they couldn't deliver them. No reason why. No recourse to follow up. Got through to them today, which is 4 days later, and they admitted they had not credited my charge card. They wait for the customer to complain!!! THAT'S CALLED THEFT.
Their customer service call centre appears to be offshore - very poor connection and strong, strong accents on the CSRs so you can barely understand what they are saying. These people are complete con artists, counting on the fact that you'll give up trying to get a refund because they make it so hard. Don't use them unless you want several days of hassle. Oh, and they're very expensive. $92 for a vase of yellow lilies. Wow.

I arranged flowers to be sent by 1-800-Flowers in plenty of time for a BD in Vegas. The person did not receive their arrangement cause the flowers had been sitting in an area where they could not be located. I gave room number and name of the guest to 1-800-Flowers. This should have been communicated to the Hotel properly so there would not have been any problems or miscommunication. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!!

I ordered an arrangement to be sent to my uncle's funeral which was out of state. I was assured by the service rep taking my order that it would be no problem to fill it and deliver on time. Apparently the florist did not have the same flowers in stock as the arrangement I had ordered contained so without consulting me or providing me with a photo of what was being substituted to see if it was acceptable to me, they arbitrarily filled the order using "Designers Choice" -- whatever the florist picked out. I was asked for my phone # when I placed the order so I could be contacted if an issue arose. I was NOT contacted before the florist's choice of flowers was delivered. I have no idea what the flowers were, if they were in a similar basket to what I ordered, and/or the color/type of flowers used. In other words I have no idea what it looked like or if it was in anyway similar to what I had ordered.
What was already a distressing situation (having a loved one buried) was make even more stressful and all because they simply were too lazy to make a phone call. I will NEVER order from them again nor recommend them. I have in the past ordered many floral arrangements online and never had a single issue with any of those purchases because, if they couldn't provide what I ordered, I was called and gave my permission for a substitute arrangement that was acceptable to me. Bad business practice to not even consult the client or make an attempt to do so. An apology at this point is too little too late as there will be no "do-over" for my uncle's funeral and I live out-of-state so I could not be there to see the arrangement firsthand. Never, never again!

On March 28, 2018, I ordered flowers for my Mom and scheduled a March 30 delivery - Good Friday. I paid via PayPal. So on March 30, I get an email that my delivery cannot be fulfilled until April 6. April 6?!? OMW!! So I wait until April 6, and now April 7, 10 DAYS SINCE I PLACED THE ORDER my Mom STILL has NOT received the flowers. I texted customer service - they said it was delayed due to weather. In Oklahoma City??? The weather was 61 degrees F. No refund. No compensation. They lost me as a customer FOREVER!!!

$85 for a small fruit basket and a balloon. This was a last minute order and I bit the bullet and paid a premium for the service. At 5 pm I spoke to my 85 year old aunt and realized the basket hadn't arrived. Checking online it is not yet delivered. I called and was told for apartment deliveries they may deliver as late as 8 pm. They had no answer as to why the delivery was scheduled so late in the day and would not give me contact information for the florist. At 8 pm, she will be in bed. The front door will be locked. I asked how they would handle that and was told they would just leave it there on the porch. Where 84 other apartments have access. Am now on hold for a manager. This is not ok. She may not get her overpriced gift at all.

I ordered flowers for my elderly mother who was recovering from surgery. I had ordered next day delivery. Five days later, I contacted my mom to see if she liked her flowers. She informed me they were never delivered. I was never informed that the delivery did not occur. I contacted 1-800-Flowers and was assured they would be delivered the next day. The agent on the phone asked me if I would like him to call my mother and apologize! I told him, no, as she was recovering from major surgery. I thought that rather invasive and strange. The next day my mother never received her flowers. I called again and the agent told me that the florist they sent the order to never contacted them back. I told her perhaps they should use another florist. I demanded a refund and I am now waiting for it to clear my account. Horrible service. I should have at least been informed that the flowers were never delivered. Twice!

My husband bought me flowers to be received on Valentine's Day at my workplace but it arrived a day after. However my husband received an email saying the flowers were delivered on Valentines Day. We tried to email the company several times in order to complain but did not get an email back from client service. When we tried to call they claimed they can not track the order because we waited too long to call them. Now we know not to use this company ever again.

I placed my order on Saturday morning for an afternoon delivery. I checked to make sure that the arrangement that I picked was made locally. After several hours I received an email telling me that there was a problem and I should call them. After I called their offshore helpline, they told me they would call me back, an hour and fifteen minutes later with no call back I tried calling them again. They then told me that they were sorry and could not make the delivery until Tuesday. Please never do business with this company, they need to go out of business. They have terrible offshore customer service.
