Well here we go guys... Another dissatisfied customer posting... This company is a SCAM. I ordered flowers last Valentine's Day (2018) to be delivered on Valentine's Day. And to my surprise at that time, the flowers did not arrive, even though I had received an email confirmation that the flowers were in fact delivered at 1pm. We have a security camera on the front door step, and reviewed the footage, and no flowers were ever delivered.
I called the company customer service number, and spoke to someone who hardly spoke English. The guy told me he was sorry about 15 times throughout the conversation. The guy offered me a $20 credit for the future purchases. I declined. Another flower arrangement was sent to replace the one that never came. That new arrangement arrived a day late as well. Fast forward one more year, February 2019, I was supposed to have another flower arrangement sent February 13th to the same address as last year. And to no surprise this time, the flowers did not arrive, a confirmation of delivery was sent to my email.
I called the company and spoke to another representative, which obviously English was a second language to him, and he repeated to me the order information which I have already told him I knew. And he offered a $20 credit again and a re-shipment of the arrangement. They said they could not "Rush" the order that originally was supposed to be there on the 13th... and the order would not get it there today, the 14th, and hopefully it will be there on the 15th!!... sometime between 9 a.m. and 8 PM. And I thought the cable company was bad with appt times... geez. I will update this site as to the status of the 2019 flower saga. please people reading this review and the other reviews, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY... NO. DON'T... STOP!

I have used the same service in years past, so I am on their email mailing list. This year I decided to up my purchase for Valentine's for my wife. Being on their advanced mailing list for discounts I placed my Valentine's order weeks in advance in January with a scheduled delivery on or before February 12. Since I know this is a busy and hectic time for this business and deliveries can get delayed due to number of deliveries. So I am playing it super safe... On the 13th I call asking, "Where are the flowers?" I was told the product I selected was not available.
So they oversold the item or something although they took my money, and were not going to make good on their services without any notification to let customer know they dropped the ball? They could have been proactive and handled in many different ways, but let me hanging until I decided to asking what happened? They had my phone number and obviously my email but there was no communication to let me know my order was never going to make it. On my first call they offer a $20 site credit which I have no use for at this point. On second call I ask for a full refund, get placed on hold for over 15 minutes before realizing they are not coming back. 3rd phone call asking for refund, I was told I need to call back after February 16 to ask for a refund because their system policies do not allow the phone representatives to process refunds!!! This is the last time I will be using 1-800-Flowers.

So I ordered some flowers for my girl for Valentine's day and found the same flowers for a whole lot cheaper. I called them back no more than a hour after I ordered to cancel and get a refund. They said ok. I never got a email saying it was canceled or not. I called back the next day. They said it was not canceled. Now they said they can't give me my refund this week but next week. Then he said he can't do it. I told them to let me speak to his boss. He said ok. Had me on hold for 2 hours just to hang up. I'm calling my lawyer and I see a lot of people on here are experiencing the same problem. If we all get together together we can turn the hundred dollars they don't want to refund to thousands and get them shut down for all the BS they doing to people. Who is with me.

I just read through so many reviews that mirror my own that I don't really care to go step by step and relay what a shocking amount of individuals have already shared. The magic trick is multilayered. The language barrier is pure genius. When the customer screen resets without any indication of a message sent and there is no information on the order whilst logged in... You get to speak to someone who, as it plays out in real time is following a script. It took over ten minutes of slowly announcing my order number and having it read back to me incorrectly to establish the status of my order. I'm getting irritated again so I'll say in closing that I after the calls I checked my email constantly for the follow up on the call to rate the performance of the CSR. Of course nothing. They're doing what they're told their job is. I'll. Never. Purchase. Anything. Without. Consulting. Consumer. Affairs. Nightmare.

Being out in a California and my mother in Texas. I wanted to make her 50th birthday as special as I could. So I decided to give 1-800 Flowers a shot. Boy do I regret that, the flowers displayed in their website are far from what is actually delivered. When I called the first time I explained I was displeased with the service and was offered a 50% refund. I declined and requested a full refund, after 10 minutes in hold the rep came to the line and told me my refund would go back to my credit card. I specified if I was getting my full refund. She stated no, I asked for a supervisor and she placed me in hold, only to hang up 10 seconds later. Long story short... 45 minutes later I finally got a supervisor on the line and she stated I would be receiving a full refund. Avoid this company at all cost!

Confirmation emails mean nothing to this company. I received a phone call from customer service at 9:07 P.M. on February 13th to say the flowers I ordered for Valentine's Day won't make it. I was told they can get delivered on February 19th. I asked for a refund. I hope I get my money back. I won't be using this again! Seems like they ruined a lot of people's Valentine's Day.

Truly unbelievable that this is an operating company given the fact I've spent hours on the phone and on the company's chat help service attempting to cancel my order. They lie. They don't communicate. They probably won't refund me even though they said they would. ZERO EMAIL CONFIRMATION after 24 hours. They have absolutely ZERO clue what they are doing. Shame on their management. Shame on their CEO, Christopher McCann. A child could provide better service and communication. PLEASE DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. Warn your family and friends as well.

I ordered flowers to be delivered for my wife and paid $184 to have them delivered the day before Valentines. At 6:18 PM I got notified that the flowers were delivered, I checked the porch and nothing. I contacted 1-800-Flowers at 6:25 PM and told them they were not delivered. I was told that the "delivered" notification only meant that they left the florist not that they had actually been delivered. So I was told to call back after 8 PM. 8:25 PM I contacted 1-800-Flowers again, and told them still no flowers. I was then told that they hit their quota and couldn't send any more out for the day.
I asked for a refund for the rush payment I made and they said I couldn't have one because the order was resubmitted for the next day. I explained to the lady I couldn't wait until 8 pm on Valentine's Day so I requested a full refund. I was then told I couldn't get one because it was already scheduled to be delivered the next day and couldn't be cancelled. Guess I'll be disputing it with my credit card company and getting my flowers from Walmart.

I ordered a flower bouquet, chocolate and a bear from this website for my girlfriend for Valentine's Day. This was on their VALENTINE'S SALE. The order arrived two days early, which was whatever, however, it is not as it was shown on website when I ordered, actually ten times worse. I called, explained the situation and asked for a refund. I was given the runaround and told their "supervisor" is busy and I was number 3 to receive a callback. Almost 4 hours later, still nothing, so I access the chat to again ask for help/refund. The chat representative did not help me and said he could not pull up my order, and to refresh the chat and try again with a new representative. I did not do that. I called on the phone again, spoke to someone and asked for a supervisor.
This time I was told "the supervisor is up front helping a customer. We can have them call you back." I confronted her, told her no, that I would like to speak to someone. She put me on hold multiple times and after approx 30 min of waiting on hold, someone who spoke English and sounded American finally came on the phone as a supervisor. I again explained the situation and was offered a re-shipment. I declined and mentioned this was for Valentine's day, I've already made other arrangements/repurchased product (in person, won't do online for this kind of stuff anymore) and explained that a re-ship would not help me as this was date specific. The person then told me they would cancel the order and process a full refund.
I asked for some verification and he could not give me anything directly. He confirmed my email and states with 24-48 hours I would receive a confirmation email with refund. So we will see... Long story short, save yourself the hassle and don't order from this website, ever, especially as a gift. Despite the company's whole "100% smiles, no questions asked refund/exchange" slogan or whatever, THEY STILL GIVE THE RUNAROUND AND AREN'T VERY HELPFUL.

Worst experience ever trying to order from 1-800-Flowers! Nobody speaks very good English and it always sounds like a birthday celebration in the background. They mess up my order and put you on hold forever and then disconnect the call so they don't have to deal with it. I spoke to a supervisor and he made it worse by duplicating my order charging me twice for the order. I had paid extra for it to be delivered on a certain day and they delivered it on the wrong day! Try explaining all this with someone who can't understand English! What a nightmare!

I placed a $70 order online for Valentine's Day 2/14/19. I received an email that said, without giving me an option, that the flowers would not be delivered until 2/19/19. I called the 1-800-Flowers number and hit the extension for existing orders. I got a recording that this line was only for new orders and immediately disconnected. I repeated the call, carefully chose the prompt for existing orders and again was hung up on. I went online and texted a customer service representative. They told me the order could not be cancelled. That it was already shipped. (I had ordered it only 2 hours before, the website stated it was not due to be shipped for another 5 days.) I asked for a manager, I was given another 800 service number to call. I called that 800 number and was told again that they could not cancel the order even though they had unilaterally changed the delivery date without consulting me.
I asked to talk to a manager. I was told to wait. Manager was not available. They told me they would call me back in 10 minutes. I waited thirty minutes and called back. They said they could not refund my $70. I asked to talk to a manager. They left and came back and said the manager is busy. I said I would wait. I was told that I would have to wait 13 hours to talk to a manager. I asked for the person's name, ID and their supervisor's name and ID and asked again to talk to a manager. They hung up. I am out $70, no flowers for Valentine's Day, no recourse to talk to the company, hung up on, lied to, essentially robbed.

I've read a few of the other complaints now and mine seems to be the same. I found out that my wife was not going to be at work so I needed to change the delivery address. I went online and found a form through customer service for making changes to your order. I entered all required info and the form simply resets. Did it again and again to no avail. Then I call. Customer service rep had terrible English, never asked me any info about the order. Just issuing a blanket denial of help. She stated that they will not change or cancel any order. All you can do, it seems, is dispute the charge with your bank. This feels like fraud to me. I wish there was help available.

I purchased prior to Valentine's flowers and they promised one bouquet and delivered a completely different mess. I called customer service and in his broken English all he could promise is a re-delivery after Valentine's or a refund. I took the refund that should make it to me 7-10 business days. I am so horribly disappointed in their bait-and-switch game. I will rate them on other mediums and show pics of the difference. They should not be allowed to do this to customers. The bouquet delivered looked like it was prepared by a two-year-old.

I placed an order in error, tried to correct it immediately, and was unable to do so because my order was "confirmed"!!! This is a terrible business practice. I will not be ordering again. Also, when the flowers arrived, they were so unbloomed that they looked like green twigs. I feel that this should have been included in the description if this was the way they were to be delivered so that I could have made the right choice for my needs. Customer service both by phone and email was useless. I will not be ordering again from 1-800-flowers or any affiliates.

Worst experience ever. Ordered online for 2/6 delivery. Flowers started to die the next day. Recipient called to report the poor quality and was promised another delivery. I got an email 2/8 saying they could not deliver!!! I called and was promised delivery on 2/12. I called on 2/12 and was told I could not get redelivery until 2/19!!! I asked for a full refund because I have wasted enough time trying to get a FRESH flower delivery in a timely manner. I did find out they contracted with a florist in New Jersey for a Pennsylvania residential delivery, which I thought was very odd! I guess they're after the cheapest guy around... It was a totally frustrating experience to try and call to resolve any issues, since their "customer service" agents clearly did not speak English as a first language.

Ordered flowers and a Teddy Bear for delivery between 9am and noon today. Paid extra to make sure they would be delivered within this time frame. Noon rolls around and they had not been delivered. Yet, I received an email at 8:58am saying they were delivered. I called 1800 Flowers to check the status of my order. After being on hold for 20 minutes I'm told the florist will contact me asap regarding my order and that 1800 Flowers can confirm my order was delivered at 11:42am. This was not correct. I ask a few questions to get a better idea of what's going on... No clear answers. Just that I would be getting an update soon by phone from the florist.
1:40pm rolls around and here they are delivering the flowers. Finally, I'm thinking, but happy that they are finally delivering the surprise I planned. Well, the flowers looked ok, nothing like the picture when purchasing, but worst of all the Teddy Bear is not with the flowers? I immediately call back to 1800 Flowers and explain the Teddy Bear wasn't delivered with the flowers, could they track the guy down and send him back before he gets too far away? On hold for 30 minutes... Lady gets back on the phone and said the florist will call me back soon.
I proceed to explain, "I paid for your advertised services. None in which happened." Late for the delivery time, forgot the Teddy Bear and no-one has called me to discuss this, why would they call me at this point? This is not my problem, I expect 1800 Flowers to make this right. I ask for a manager. I'm told, "We can offer you 30% off coupon" for the next order I make. I say, "Why would I ever use you guys ever again?" I've spent so much time on hold and feels like more work than what I'm paying them to do? I'm not interested in a coupon. I want the money I paid for the teddy bear and early delivery refunded.
They decline to do so. Saying they can't do that, "How about 40% off coupon for next time?" I say, "Maybe you don't understand... I need a manager please. I'll wait..." She then offers me 50% off! I say, "Perhaps you don't get what it's like to pay for something that isn't being provided, I'm not interested in your company or services EVER again! Send your best solution by email" and hung up.
Do you think the florist ever called me back? How about an email with their offers for the mistake? It's now 4:45 and the answer is NO. Teddy bear still not delivered and no one has tried to call me about this. I should have researched before using 1800 Flowers. Seems 85% of the people in this thread all had similar experiences in all 50 states! Absolutely unbelievable that they can get away with this like this and nothing is being done about it???
Do yourself the favor... go to ProFlowers! I had used them a few times in the past and they were absolutely the opposite of this experience. I tried 1800 flowers this time only because I couldn't remember my password to ProFlowers and googled flower delivery services rather than reset my password. That's what I get I suppose. Take CAUTION when ordering from 1800 Flowers! They are the most disorganized, time wasting, lying companies I've come across. Never ever again! Look at how many one star reviews are on this webpage! Holy **. I wish I would have seen this prior to ordering.

Not only did the flowers not arrive in time for the funeral, but when I called to request a refund, they bantered back and forth with me for about 30+ minutes. As the woman was about to give me the refund confirmation number, they somehow disconnected the line. When I called back, they bantered for another 15 minutes before telling me that it would take 1 hour to get the confirmation number and "someone" would call me back. 1 hour later, I called again and was told that it would take 24 hours to get the refund confirmation number. When I asked to speak with a Supervisor, they told me they were on another call and that I would have to call back. I insisted that I would wait to speak to the Supervisor, and here I am 20 minutes later, still waiting. Not only did the family not receive my intended gift of sympathy, not only have I not received my refund confirmation number, but I also can't get this hour of my life back.

I ordered flowers for my wife for Valentine’s Day 3 days before. I then found out she will not be where they would be delivered. I tried using the online form to change address and it simply reset the form over and over. Got in touch through a text message and they said they cannot change the address because it has already been assigned to a shop. I said, "That’s fine. I would like to cancel my order." "No sorry. We can’t do that either!" So I have to try and dispute the charge through my credit card company. On top of that I then looked at other companies and they were all cheaper. So they are not only the most expensive they also have the worst change policies I’ve ever seen!

The business does not seem set up as a scam, but works the same way. Ordering is easy. The flowers are never delivered. If you call customer service, you get people who barely speak English that cant understand you. They say they will help you or fix the issue, and may promise refunds or coupons - you will not get that either.
At 9 am the next morning, I called to see why they were not delivered. I was told I'd get $20 off, and that the local shop had received too many orders and so could not fulfill the order, but would do so that day. I called at noon, and was told the florist did not have the flowers, and canceled the order from their end. I would be getting $20 coupon, and the delivery would be the 12th, due to the weekend.
At 10 am on the 12th I called, and they did not have my proper email, so did not send the coupons - I then provided my email address again. I was told the flowers would be delivered that day. At 130pm I called back, and was told the delivery would not be made that day, as no local florist had the flowers needed. I asked what email they had for me, and it turned out they still did not have my email address. I will continue the battle, but I no longer have high hopes. I will at least be able to inform VISA, the police and BBB.

Things got worse. The billing gentlemen, in a heavy accent, told me that they had to bill twice to insure the company got paid!!! I ONLY GAVE THEM ONE STAR BECAUSE I COULDN'T LEAVE IT BLANK. When I asked for a credit to my account, he told me it would take 4-5 business days??? I didn't order two things so why should they hold my money x 2 for 4-5 business days? I cancelled the order. Hopefully, I will get my money back. DON'T USE THEM.

So I placed an order this morning for Valentine's day for my girlfriend. I ordered 2 dozen long stem roses. There is a promotion going on using chasepay40 which is 40% off the total, but only for Valentine's Days collection. So I found what I wanted and noticed after checking out that the discount didn't apply. So I called customer service (which is outsourced in India) and they first told me that there is no supervisor on duty. Then I tried to resolve and they applied the promo code but the refund would be 2 billing cycles. They don't know my situation and offered nothing to compensate. So I hang up.
I calmed down and called back where they told me I would have to wait 2 Billing cycles which I am not good with. It is not my fault so how does the 40% return equate out. I am actually losing money because of cc interest rates. They offered nothing to compensate. I am so fed up and asked for a 100% refund. They asked me to hold, about 5 to 10 min go by and they said it was processed but it would 48 hrs for a receipt. I am furious, needless to say I would never offer 1800Flowers any business. After ordering from 1800 Flowers, I submitted a review to customer service. My recipient was of course very grateful for the flowers but they were nothing like I ordered. I gave feedback that they weren't what I ordered but did not request further action. they took it upon themselves to tell the florist that they would not pay for the flowers so the florist called my friend to let her know they would be coming to pick them up.
I spent no less than 4 hours on the phone with 1800 Flowers to tell them to not pick them up, I did not want a refund and to please just leave it alone. The florist went back to the recipient's house to get them. She did not want to return them so she paid for them. MY RECIPIENT PAID FOR HER OWN FLOWERS. 1800 Flowers sent another arrangement (after I asked them several times not to) and are refusing to return my friend's money. They told me they would refund my money and I could hand my friend a big sweaty wad of cash to reimburse her for the flowers that she received. Zero class, zero customer service.

Terrible experience. Ordered a tasteful arrangement for my Grandmother's 87th birthday well in advance of the date. They took my money just fine on the website with no indication of any issue. Day of, I receive a call from India informing me that the address is outside the delivery area for that arrangement. Gee, that would have been great to know in advance of the date. They stated they would be sending a "birthday arrangement of two dozen mixed Roses" in its place for the same price. Sounded okay, even though it would be arriving a day late.
Two days later, no roses, but I had been upcharged for a hideous mix of fake, garish looking Roses. They tried to offer me yet another unspecified arrangement, unbelievably, and a coupon, also unbelievably. Awaiting my full refund. Will never use again. I have ordered many arrangements from competitors and have never even had to call customer service. I'd assumed ordering flowers was a straightforward transaction before dealing with this outfit.

Unfortunately my call only resulted in a drawn-out waste of my time. I suspect that Marie was reciting the script exactly as she was trained to do, and where the script left off she repeated my own comments back to me as if it was her own unique understanding of my issue.
"Ultimately, when I finally received a delivery confirmation text hours past the morning delivery I opted to pay extra for (and after I had to find the answer for myself), the automated "thanks for trusting us" message solidified the fact that I will never again spend money with your (dis)organization. If waving your corporation's hands at the responsibility to properly fulfill orders and services that have been pre-paid for is the standard response to a customer's trust, then best of luck in the future where customer service is as highly valued as the quality or convenience of the goods and services."

On the scheduled delivery day, I received a call and an email from 1-800-FLOWERS indicating there was an issue with my order. I called and spoke with a customer service representative who could not speak or understand English. I was told there was no issue and that the flowers would be delivered. They were not delivered. I called customer service again the following day and again was put on the line with a representative that could not speak English.
After 15 minutes I was told that the flowers were not delivered because they could not contact the recipient by phone. When I asked why this was necessary and why the flowers could not simply be delivered I was not given an answer. I was repeatedly put on hold and when I asked to speak to a supervisor I was denied. After being on the phone 40 minutes and being assured my order was "being processed" I was told the arrangement I ordered was not available. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? In short, after over an hour on the phone, I had to settle for a different arrangement and a delivery date three days after my requested delivery date.
I still don't know if the flowers will ever be delivered. I spent $80 and an hour on the phone and did not get what I ordered and have no confidence my flowers will be delivered. Today is Nana's 93rd birthday so we ordered a floral arrangement with a balloon to be delivered to her today. Around 10:30 am, I went on 1-800-Flowers.com website, selected same day delivery options, selected an arrangement, entered all the delivery and billing information, and placed my order.
While at a birthday party with Bailey this afternoon, I received a partial voicemail from 1-800-Flowers.com saying they were calling about my order, but the message cut off. Around 4:30 PM, I called 1-800-Flowers.com back and was told that they couldn't deliver the arrangement I had paid for because it was out of the florist's delivery area.
Not sure how that became my problem, I requested another florist complete my order. The customer service rep said it was past the 2pm deadline for delivery today, but they would deliver it tomorrow. I told them that was not what I paid for and that I wanted a refund. The customer service rep said to hold on a minute and he would check with the florist. He then said the florist would want more money to complete the delivery! Yep, you read that right! They WANTED MORE MONEY to complete the order I had already placed and paid for!! Furious at this point, I demanded a full refund again. The rep said he would process my refund. Fingers crossed I get the full refund. AVOID 1-800-FLOWERS.COM AT ALL COSTS! Well I guess it was my mistake for using 1800flowers because the flowers were shipped via FedEx and delivered AFTER the business closed. I prepared ahead of time to make sure I'm not doing a same day delivery or anything that would possibly screw this up.
Thank you for ruining my (and my fiancée's) Friday and the start of our weekend. They told me it will be shipped next business day (like it is going to arrive on time this time?), well next business day is Monday. What happens to flowers when they sit in a hot warehouse without water for 3 days (as it has already been 1 day without water in the back of a truck in hot Florida)? I was a florist myself for several years in my college days and whoever made this arrangement had no idea what they were doing! The stems were cut too short so they were not in the water, there were 2 roses, 7 carnations (of which some were stems with no flower on, I believe they were chopping the carnations down to make them look like more flowers leaving a bud on each section of stem but these buds don't open if you know anything about flowers) and leaves in a vase I've seen at the dollar store! About $20 value by my estimate!

Very late Sat afternoon I got a call from an Asian man with very poor English who told me they didn’t have the flowers for the arrangement I wanted to send. And that he couldn’t deliver it as I had ordered (and paid extra for) on Saturday, but made me choose something else to be delivered on Sunday (he promised). It was not delivered on Sunday.
Monday I called the main number and got another Asian who spoke in broken English, who let me know that, again, they didn’t have what I had ordered (the second time) and nothing was scheduled to be delivered until Wed, the 15th. Placed an order for a cute basket of flowers with butterfly pick for my mother as a thank you. Customer service called me today to tell me the florist rejected it as too small. Call was disconnected while waiting for representative to get back to me from being on hold. I call back again. Get obviously off-shored representative, same as first time, who is hard to understand. They tell me because our call got disconnected, the other representative authorized them to send roses in a box instead. I asked if this was just a box of roses or was there a vase or anything special? And she said no. I said, "I did not authorize that." They said, "Sorry, we already did it." I said, "Well, that's a pretty big deal to me and I won't be using you again."
I paid over sixty dollars for something I didn't want to send. Will NEVER EVER use them again. And find out what the local florist will offer. If they won't do medium or small arrangements, then don't have them as available online when you put in the zip code. What a waste of money and time for something that isn't anything like what I wanted to send.

Well they got the package the next day and it contained 2 thinking of you bears and 2 bags of chocolate chip cookies!!! I called customer service. They wanted to send her Valentine roses, dude that’s not what I ordered, a 3 yr old doesn’t want roses so I then demanded my refund and they would only give me 50% money back! I realize it’s the thought that counts but I am devastated. I tried to do something special...ugh.

I ordered 2 succulent planters - reclaimed wood troughs with 5 small succulents each - for Christmas gifts. I had them sent to me as they were to be received a few days before I would see the recipients and I expected they would need some water. I also wanted to inspect them. The plants themselves were fine though dry as expected. The troughs were supposed to include a liner, which they did not. And one of them had a 2" chunk missing from the bottom with a nail fully exposed. The missing 'chunk" was not in the box, so it was clear that it was packaged for shipping in this condition.
I e-mailed the day of receipt asking for the damaged trough to be replaced and liners sent, assuming they were available as contained in the item description. A quick reply stated the order would be resent. I did gift one of the planters and held back on the other, damaged one. I waited 10 days (after New Years at that time) and e-mailed again looking for my re-order. I got a reply with a new scheduled date of delivery. Also got the $20 apology gift certificate. The new trough with an additional 5 small plants was received and of course, no liners. The new trough, while not missing a chunk as the original was, also had a nail fully exposed - this time on the inside. This will be covered by the pots inside, but really?? I complained not only about a missing chunk of wood but about a fully exposed nail and they sent me another with a fully exposed nail!! Is there no quality control?
I have since found what looks to be the same trough in the same reclaimed wood and with a liner (without plants) on another site and have ordered two. Assuming these are in better condition, one will go to the original recipient with the new plants and I will use the other for the original plants. I will not be using the $20 gift certificate for any future purchases from 1-800-Flowers, given the lack of care and attention they've shown, even when trying to correct a bad order.

Be aware this company is dishonest. I used them all the time but not anymore. My daughter had surgery and I purchased flowers from 1800Flowers to be delivered. The flowers looked nothing like what I paid for. With how expensive they are and what you get is disheartening. I complained to them and they told me at first they would give me $20 towards my next order. I told them that I will never order flowers from them again. So they said they would send new flowers at no charge and refund me 50%. After a month there were no flowers sent and I am still waiting on a refund. A very dissatisfied customer.

I have used 1-800-Flowers in the past, but will never, ever use it again. If I could give it zero stars, I would. A dear friend who moved to a different part of the country passed away. I ordered a lovely arrangement to be sent to the funeral home, paying with my debit card. The money was duly deducted from my account and notice sent that the arrangement was taken care of.
When I did not receive acknowledgement from the family, which was very uncharacteristic of them, I eventually asked about the arrangement to make sure it had been received. (By now, several weeks had gone by.) I was sickened to hear that it had not. When I called 1-800-Flowers, the Customer Service Representative said, "Oh, we don't have any florists in that area that we're affiliated with. We tried to call you." But I have an answering machine, and had not received any messages... And 1-800-Flowers deducted payment in full for the delivery from my account! The Customer Service Representative said, "We'll refund your money." At this point, I am waiting for the money to be credited to my account.
Had I not called my friend's family to follow through, 1-800-Flowers would have blithely kept every cent of my money and sent nothing. How many other unsuspecting people has this company taken advantage of, banking on them never checking that their "out of the area" gifts were received? How many other people also thought that their loving intentions were relayed, only to be taken advantage of in times of death or illness by 1-800-Flowers? RUN, do not walk, away from this company. They are nothing more than thieves. Never again!!!

We ordered an arrangement to be delivered to the viewing of a deceased family member. It was to be delivered on 1/4/2019. We received an email showing delivery on 1/4/2019 @ 3:35 PM. We arrived at the funeral home at 4:50 PM and did not see our flowers. Along with the funeral director, we looked at every floral setting within the entire funeral home without finding our floral arrangement. There was only one viewing at the funeral home that day so it was impossible for it to have been delivered and misrouted.
The Addison Funeral Home has a flower sign-in log, which the funeral director and I reviewed together. At the time we first viewed the log sheet there one a SINGLE entry by Floral Concepts at 4:45 PM. I called 1-800-Flowers and described our problem. To their credit, they arranged to send the same flowers to the funeral at the Spring Church of Christ the next day (1/5/2019). I emphasized to them (at least five times during the phone call) that the funeral service was at 11:00 AM and the flowers had to arrive no later than 10:45 AM.
After my phone call to 1-800-Flowers and while I was still at the viewing at the Addison Funeral Home the funeral director walked up to me with our floral setting. The time on my watch when this happened was 6:03 PM. The funeral director related to me that he was in the “flower room” (a room they have specifically to receive flowers deliveries and where the flower sign-in log resides) when the Floral Concepts delivery person walked into the room (at 6:01 PM). He dropped off our floral setting and signed the log. He deliberately entered a fraudulent delivery time of “4:45 PM” to make it seem that our flowers were delivered simultaneously with another delivery he made at 4:45 PM. This was a knowing, willful lie.
The next day another flower arrangement was delivered to the Spring Church of Christ. The funeral service ran from 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon. The delivery, which was supposed to happen prior to the 11:00 AM funeral service, occurred at 12:11 PM i.e. 11 minutes AFTER the service concluded. 1-800-Flowers CONS: Deceptive delivery emails showing delivery when no delivery had occurred. Deceptive employees who enter false delivery times to hide their poor customer service. Poor customer service at the funeral home where our floral arrangement was not there during almost all of the viewing. Poor customer service due to missing delivery time at the funeral. 1-800-Flowers PROS: At least they attempted to right a wrong by making the second delivery the next day.

I received an Azalea Topiary, which is a potted plant, on Dec. 22, 2018 from a friend. By Dec. 24 the flowers and leaves were dark and wilted. The dirt felt moist upon receipt and I watered when needed. (I know very well how to care for plants.) I kept thinking the plant would perk up. By Jan. 1, 2019 the flowers and leaves were dried and falling off. By Jan. 5 the plant appeared dead. I called customer service on Jan. 5 and spoke to Tooly (or something like that.) She asked what took me so long to call about my arrangement. She kept calling it an arrangement and I kept telling her was a PLANT and I thought it would perk up. She told me they have a policy that only allows 7 days to process a complaint and there was nothing she could do.
I went onto the 1-800-Flowers.com website and saw the 1-800-Flowers Smile Guarantee that says: "About Us: Our Story, We're obsessed with providing a terrific experience. If not, we'll make it right - guaranteed. Chris McCann, CEO & Jim McCann, Founder." Further, on the customer service portion of the website the 100% Smile Guarantee says: "Everyone at 1-800-Flowers.com is passionate about delivering smiles with truly original flowers & gifts - from our founder and president to our expert growers and talented floral designers. So if you, or the person who receives your gift, has any issue at all, we'll do whatever we can to make it right - no questions asked."
So I called back and spoke to a person named Mercy who told me the same thing, there is a 7-day policy for complaints. I asked her why the Smile Guarantee doesn't say ANYTHING about 7 days, she said it is the policy. She said because it has been two weeks since the delivery and because it is a PLANT, the SENDER could call and POSSIBLY get a PARTIAL refund. If I could give this company zero stars, I would.

I sent email complaints to 1-800-Flowers customer service and received assurances that they would both be redelivered through a different local florist at no additional cost to me. I was initially quite pleased how quickly they responded and offered to make it right.
Several days later I got a call from a man with a thick Asian accent who I could barely understand. There were household noises in the background: kids playing and an appliance. I was advised that due to high volume, my arrangements could not be redelivered until after the New Year’s holiday, which was disappointing. I got 2 notices yesterday from 1-800-Flowers saying both arrangements had been redelivered. I called both of the intended recipients who advised that neither had received. I called customer service and two hours later I had still not found anyone who spoke and understood English. Someone finally said the order didn't go through and the charges would be taken off my credit card in 3-5 business days. When the charges came off, I reordered, only to have the same experience. I was told they were having problems with the online ordering process, so I ordered by phone. Everything seemed fine, and the second charge came off.
On the 22nd I received a picture of the order delivered, and it was nothing like I ordered. I sent an email, and said the order was nothing like what I ordered, but did not request a second delivery. I then received an email saying they were sending a second arrangement and giving me a $20.00 certificate for my next order. The second embarrassing order was exactly like the first one they received. When I sent another email, I was told they would issue a refund of the full amount. The refund was made, and it was only half the amount. Another email, and the reply was that they were sorry for agreeing to a full refund, and that they were only refunding half the amount. I ordered a Christmas centerpiece for my parents. It was a real flower arrangement with a candle in the middle. I placed the order two weeks before the selected delivery day. With no calls, emails, or voicemails, they sent my parents an item that wasn't what I ordered. They took it upon themselves to pick a different Christmas gift! What company does that? Why wouldn't they cancel my order and issue a refund if they couldn't deliver? They told me they would credit me $20 for a $40 real flower arrangement. No apologies for the lack of communication. What they sent could have been purchased at Michaels. I'm beyond mad my money was wasted. I ended up reordering something similar to what 1-800-Flowers.com was selling through a local florist to do a redo on the flower centerpiece. They sent real ones. ;)

Worst customer service experience ever! I ordered flowers a week and a half before delivery date. After I placed my order, I received email confirmation that it was processed and the Christmas flower arrangement will arrive on time. When I re-read the card message I composed, I found numerous grammar errors and typos. I had to call them back to fix their mistakes. Then, the day of delivery, I called them to see if the arrangement was delivered. They told me that they didn’t deliver it, and they are not going to deliver it because the item is not available for that ZIP code. I didn’t receive any prior notification regarding this issue. They offered to send a comparable product, but everything I selected was not available for that ZIP code.
I got fed up so I asked them to find a Christmas arrangement for me. They came back to me with a bird feeder and a spring hydrangea arrangement. I asked for a refund immediately. I now wonder if they were ever going to let me know if my item was not ever going to be delivered. I wonder if they were going to contact me about refunding me. This service is so sketchy. See December 16 review here. Same thing happened to this reviewer.

I sent Mom a bouquet a for Thanksgiving and it looked nothing like what I ordered, not even the same flowers. I normally don’t complain but it was so bad I sent an email to them. They responded well, offered to resend the correct product and give me a discount on my next order. Much to my surprise they resent the exact same product. I was just disgusted and had to just let it go. Then for Christmas I unfortunately decided to give them another try since they had passport shipping for $10 for the year. I ordered a plant made into a snowman. Not only do they just leave it without knocking but this thing was in a box not put together, with no picture or instructions. Well my 83 year old mother had no idea what it was. Terrible service! Plus I never got any discount!
Do not use this company. It’s a total waste of money and heartbreaking when they don’t get what you ordered. I will be going back to “Fromyouflowers” who have a flower shop deliver the correct product. Embarrassed that I didn’t read these reviews first, shame on me! They are all spot on, 1 star rating is well earned. Paid extra for guaranteed delivery between 12:00 and 3:00. Called at 4:00 and were not delivered. I was promised they would be delivered by 5:00, when the recipient would be gone for the day. As I’m sure you guessed, they were not delivered by 5:00. Called at 6:00 to discuss, and was told they were delivered at 2:30, before the guaranteed deadline. When I explained my 4:00 call, I was told the flowers did not have to be delivered until 8:00 due to my booking online. I was then disconnected, and had to call back in.
After 45 minutes on the phone, I was told the original service representative was still in my ticket, and no one else could help me until she exited the ticket. It was recommended that I wait for her to call me back. Needless to say, I’m still waiting. I was able to dispute the charge with my credit card company, thankful for Chase and all they do. After hearing a promotional ad for their flower Christmas tree I decided to look into it when I got home later on 12/11. After reviewing the description and the sample picture I decided to send one to my sister and brother-in-law in Florida. They don't put up a Christmas tree anymore so I thought it would be a nice centerpiece for their table for the holidays. I also added in a small box of chocolates that was offered as an option with the tree. Although 1-800-Flowers offered next day service I wasn't in a hurry so I opted for delivery on Friday, 12/14. My thought process was the extra days would mean that the tree would arrive as scheduled. How wrong could I have been?
On Friday evening I received an email confirming delivery. On Saturday morning I called my sister to ask her about the tree. Much to my surprise she had no idea what I was talking about as she had received no deliveries of any kind on Friday. She further stated she had been home all afternoon and evening from about 4:00 pm on. I then called 1-800-Flowers customer support around 8:30 am local time and explained the situation. The support person took my information and then put me on hold so as to ostensibly talk with their local delivery agent. When she returned she informed me that their agent's records show a delivery to my sister's address at 6:08 pm.
I said that was interesting as my sister was home at that time and didn't get anything and she lives in gated community where the gates close at 6:00 pm. Any delivery driver attempting delivery after that time would have to be buzzed in by my sister. I told the customer support person someone was misinformed and I don't think it was my sister. She put me on hold again and then came back in a few minutes and offered to deliver the tree that afternoon. In addition they would give me a voucher for $20 off on my next purchase. I said okay but that if they failed to deliver this time I was through with them. I also reminded them about the 6:00 pm gate issue with my sister.
I again called my sister and told her to look for the tree that afternoon. She purposefully waited at home all afternoon and again the delivery didn't show up. At this point I was pretty embarrassed and disappointed that I had my sister spend all Saturday afternoon at home for no result. I again called customer support and after several apologies they wanted me to try again for Monday. I said no way and was adamant that had failed twice and I wanted to cancel the order. The customer support implied that was not possible but finally after 10 minutes they agreed to a cancellation of the order and a refund of the charges. When I asked for a cancellation number or email message for proof of the cancellation she said they didn't do that. This sounded strange to me so as a precaution after I hung up the phone.
I called my bank and asked about the transaction. They said it had posted on 12/12 the day I made the purchase. I explained what happened and they went ahead and opened a dispute procedure for the transaction and provided me with a provisional credit. They would check into the details and let me know the outcome in 10 days. Furthermore, unlike 1-800-Flowers, I received a confirmation email of the disputed transaction from my card issuer.
I think the thing that bothers me most is the confirmation email stating they had delivered the item. I assume that the local delivery people are agents and probably not employees of 1-800-Flowers but in any event they are not trustworthy. The delivery status was not changed by magic in their system so someone in the chain had to knowingly add the delivery time. Whether it was a mistake or an outright fabrication I'll let you decide. I know what I believe and I can assure you I will never use this company again.

I ordered a beautiful, bright floral arrangement for my niece who is hospitalized. What she got was a vase filled with stems and lots of leaves to make it seem like there were a lot of flowers and a few randomly put together flowers that didn't even represent the colors or types in the flowers.com picture. It was very dull, not bright yellow, orange, and pinks in the flowers.com picture. I had problems with them ensuring quality from the vendors they use a few years ago and stopped using them but I gave them another try and they failed miserably. I called 1-800-Flowers customer service and was assured it would be sent out shortly. At 2:15 pm they still were not delivered. I called back and the customer service rep told me the address did not exist and the driver left. I was never contacted nor was the recipient. The rep proceeded to debate with me about the address and the supervisor was not helpful at all. I will never ever order flowers and I will not refer anyone either. This was a terrible experience and now my loved one couldn't receive any flowers for her birthday.

When I followed up, they offered to send the funeral spray to the home. That was unacceptable and they eventually refunded my money. Be very careful using this service for something you arent attending. I would have just assumed that the flowers were delivered and they would have, I assume, pocketed my $$.

The flowers came on time and turned out good with no wilted flowers or broken vase. I read reviews about this place not being good but I'm glad to have a good experience. The only thing I was not happy about was the tracking information, I got scared when I couldn't keep track of my order on MY SIDE and through the email and on the tracking part of website.

NEVER use 1-800-Flowers. Ordered flowers to be delivered on Friday. Flowers came with the wrong arrangement. Never called to inform me they were changing the order. In addition, half of the flowers were dead. The guy that delivered it said that they did not have any red roses in stock. This was not Valentine's Day. They apologized and guaranteed the flowers would be delivered on Saturday. They were not. They assured me that the flowers would be delivered on Monday. They were not. They continued to call the recipient and request that I call them. The recipient has no interest in hassling with this order that they were supposed to receive. Scheduled to be delivered on Tuesday to the wrong address and an arrangement that was not originally ordered.
These flowers to be delivered to the home address via FedEx. When delivered they will sit on the hot porch until the recipient gets home after work. To preserve my dignity I requested that the recipient throw the flowers right in the trashcan so that I would not be embarrassed any further. You need to remember that when the recipient receives your flowers they will not think that Donnie, Anna, Emily, or Crystal sent you a crappy bouquet of flowers. They will only think of you and your mistake. I do not write reviews but I could not let this one go.

I didn't want the flowers to go to the family the next day, I wanted the flowers to go to the FUNERAL which is why I sent them. I ordered flowers for a funeral. I ordered on 10/16/18 for delivery the next day on 10/17/18. I arrived at the viewing at 1500 and did not see my arrangement, now mind you this was a $250 arrangement. I was at the funeral home until almost 2100 and no delivery. Once I got home I contacted their customer service to inquire about the flowers. I was told and I quote, "After carefully checking, our florist informed us that they have received the a high volume of orders and they are unable to deliver". I know the sentence is a little off, but that is a quote as I took a screenshot of the conversation when they would not send me a copy of the exchange. I asked if it would be delivered the next day and again I was told that it was impossible for them to do so. They did ask how they could make this right and I told them there was no way as my loved one was buried.
I ordered these flowers straight from a link on the Funeral Homes web page. They refunded my money with their deepest condolences. I did not want their condolences. I wanted my arrangement delivered as promised. If they could not make the delivery I could have gone to a secondary company but they did not give me that option as they used up all the time needed to make that happen. They offered me a $20 certificate to be used on my next order. I told them to keep it as there would not be a next order. I wish I could give zero stars as that is what they deserve. Please, please do not order from these folks. They do not care if they get there or not, they do not care how important it is to you to show your respects for your loved one. They just DO NOT CARE. You are forewarned. I have hard copies of all the conversations with these folks if anyone would like to see this disaster play by play.

The flowers/teddy arrived late (after all of the kids were gone). It is a standard across the country that schools end around 3:00. My granddaughter left the next morning to go on the vacation. When she finally get to see the flowers, they will have already died. I sent an email to customer service with a complaint and they responded that they arrived before 5:00 (close of business). That’s not close of business for a school. If there was a risk of them not delivering them on the day of, they had plenty of time to deliver them a day early. Customer Service didn’t seem to care. On their website it said plain as day, for same day delivery place order before 1pm. So for gift number one for my boyfriend’s birthday, I ordered an edible arrangement through 800 flowers at 8am in the morning to be delivered to his place of business. I received a confirmation email at 8:05 and checked my account seeing that the money was already deducted...cool. So I checked the delivery status multiple times after and the status never changed from pending delivery. At 2:45pm I call to see if they were on the way and maybe hadn’t updated the website. They sent an email to the company to make them aware that the recipient was leaving work at 4 pm.
At 3:30 with the status still the same, I called again and asked for the number to the place delivering the order but it was against their policy to give out their number and said that she could not call, they can only communicate through emails. She asked me to allow them time to make the delivery and then asked me if I had reached out to the recipient to see if he got the delivery. I thought that was crazy being it was suppose to be a surprise so I told her if he had received it he would have called me. Needless to say he came home empty handed and I was pissed. Call the 3rd time, this time to request a refund. This rep offered to call the company to see the status, which I was told earlier they could not do, and came back to the phone offering me a $20 credit on a future order and delivery to our home address by 7pm. Again this never happened.
I called the next day to demand a refund and after her attempt to sell me some more BS, which I refused to hear, I was placed on a long hold. She came back and I was told I would be refunded the total of $86.64 which could take 3-5 days to put back in my account. This was no special holiday such as Valentine’s Day or Father’s Day. It was October 19th. This was a big disappointment being that this was the opener to his birthday and everything else, because of his work schedule and working two jobs, was planned for the next day. Absolutely horrible delivery service and customer service. Twice I have ordered a floral arrangement to be sent in advance. Once to an individual in the hospital, which was finally delivered several days later to their home instead, and yesterday to a funeral at a church, which was never delivered. The funeral delivery had to be cancelled, because there was not an alternate for delivery. I placed the funeral delivery several days prior to the funeral that was scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. I received an email confirmation about the arrangement being put together by the florist at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, stating they would send me delivery confirmation as soon as it was completed. I never received anything back and called 1-800-Flowers.com later that afternoon to see what happened.
The customer service rep could barely hear me because of all the background noise going on in their call center (laughing and playing around). They could not get in touch with the florist and said they would call me back. I received a call from the call center today, stating the florist they chose was closed on Saturdays and Sundays and the arrangement had not been delivered. They asked for the gentleman that died address to ship the arrangement to on Monday. I explained that the man had died and there was no longer an address to ship it to! They insisted I give them some address to ship it to. I again explained that a funeral arrangement was meant for a funeral and nothing else and that I could not ship it to some other address.
The impact of this company not delivering for our non-profit organization to acknowledge and show our heartfelt recognition of this gentleman is horrible. We will find a way to show our empathy to his family and other ways to recognize how we feel about losing him. But we will NEVER engage 1-800-Flowers.com again for anything. It's unfortunate that with the size of this company and all the business they receive that they are not providing a major piece of customer service that includes, accuracy on dates of delivery, follow through with their vendors on timely deliveries & presentation of the product. Calling customer service several times, the rep was nonchalant about the fact that my order was not delivered on the date specified the 1st or 2nd time. Which prompted me to check on several other orders for funeral arrangements, in turn those too had the wrong delivery dates, being refunded was not the option I wanted, I trusted & depended on this company to deliver the service I paid for and they failed, miserably!
I wont do or recommend anyone to do business with them and feel sorry for the vendors contracted with 1-800-Flowers.com, because in turn they make the vendors look bad and vice versa, some of the vendors make 1-800-Flowers.com look bad. The reps says they are not delivered yet, but the local florist called the funeral home and verified service time and "no worries" the flowers will be there in time. They're on their way. So, they returned 100% of my costs and said they would deliver the flowers to an address of my choice. So, I chose to send them to my uncle's home and gave them the new address. Keep in mind that I'm on the phone now for 45 minutes. Today, I get a message that says, "Your flowers have been delivered." But WAIT for it - they were delivered to the wrong address.
