The food was a lot like eating chalk. Also the system did not come even close to their claim of 10 Lbs in the first month. I only lose 4Lbs. Also their ads were deceptive and misleading. If you want to lose weight do not waste your money.

I'm on my third 4-week of the Nutrisystem diet. It has worked well for me. I'm rarely hungry and, so far, I've lost 13 lbs. My goal is another 15-20, which I hope to reach this year. The counseling over the phone has been outstanding in every respect.

I am not able to continue with the $300 per month food plan, so I called to cancel and was told that I need 2 orders delivered before I can cancel out of Nutrisystem. I ended up taking shakes that cost me $79 and feel that is not fair I have to take drinks that I don't even care for. Why can I be sent $79 worth of food (muffins) or just eliminate the $79 charge completely. I can't afford $300 or $79 at this time. I work in a customer service business with a large hotel and know that there are always exceptions and we always take our customer interests into consideration and do right by them.

I ordered the 28 day meal program for diabetics from Nutrisystem and was charged $374.99. Received the food and found it rather bland and tasteless. Followed the food intake instructions precisely but instead of losing any weight I actually gained more weight. After 3 weeks I was notified by email that an automatic shipment was being prepared. I had to chat with an employee to get the phone number to cancel my membership as there was no way to do so on their website. Phoned them this morning and was rudely informed that my credit card would be charged another $99.00 to cancel the order and my membership. When originally ordering I saw no prominent display of this planned action. If I had seen it I most likely would not have placed the order and would therefore have saved myself nearly $500 on food I didn't like and which didn't work as advertised.

My frozen items didn't come as timely as usual because the room temp box came before the frozen was apparently shipped. That wasn't the usual case, frozen always came first. After contacting Nutrisystem, I got a reply in less than 24 hours and the frozen items were on their way with a coupon on my next order. Excellent service.

Clearly the frozen food taste better but they can't seem to ship both parts of your order on the same day. I have been waiting 10 days so far and counting to get confirmation my frozen portion has shipped and customer service tells me it hasn't shipped yet! I don't get why the 2 parts can't ship on the same day. I am beyond frustrated because last month the delay was only 3 days. Something in the system needs to be fixed.

Not off to a good start! I placed an order last night. Saw an ad right after I placed my order saying free shakes for 14 days. Only got free for 7 days. Sent an email. Several responses keep saying phone support available 7 days a week until midnight. When I called each number says phone support only available until 5 pm.

HUGE BOX OF FOOD SHIPPED WAS FALLING APART AND SOMEONE perhaps shipping co. had taped it together trying to secure its contents. Also there were fewer types of food than listed on shipping list and a couple more than listed... no problem. They seem to be easily cross filled when choosing the daily foods. Will not be able to use turbo drinks because of milk products in the mix. I am lactose intolerant. Shakes causing embarrassing gas... and trips to the bathroom. There should be a substitute product for people like myself!! Thanks for listening.

I have lost from 265 pounds using the guide supplied with orders and it is easy to stay the course because the foods are very tasty and just the correct amount to help you maintain the weight loss you are looking to reach. I now weigh 231 pounds and am more able to wear the clothes I used to as a younger man. If you are wanting to lose it is the easy way to do it.

I discovered that a medication I began 3 months ago may also have played a part in my recent hair loss. I spoke at length with a very nice counselor from Nutrisystem, Gabe, with whom I discussed what I have been eating to make sure I was getting enough calories and protein. He also answered several of my questions and I feel confident enough to continue on the Nutrisystem plan and continue my weight loss. Gabe also said they would like me to speak to one of their counselors about once a week to make sure the hair loss does not return. I have reduced the amount of the medication in half and will continue to eat enough calories and protein. The hair loss seems to be slowing down and I am now happy that this problem has most likely been resolved, thanks to the counselor at Nutrisystem.

I have been on the program for 5 weeks and had been pretty satisfied, even with the slow weight loss. However, in the last few weeks I have been noticing a lot of hair loss, which shouldn't happen, especially since I have been using Rogain regularly for the past several years. I saw my hair dresser today and she also mentioned how much hair I've lost since I saw her 4 weeks ago. I wasn't sure if it was the Nutrisystem, although it's the only change I've made in the last month. Then today I did a google search and I was shocked to see how many people were on the program and experienced too much hair loss. A lot of them said when they went off the program, the hair started coming back, but often not to where it was originally when they started. I am extremely upset and want to know if there are some of the foods I can avoid to stop this hair loss and I want to know what Nutrisystem can do to make this up to me.

It is NOT right to require a phone call to fix an issue! I have tried to call to cancel but I get a high pressure to order more stuff. This is NOT right. I want my account cancelled right now! You don't even have the right address to ship stuff too. Now I am getting threats of legal action if I don't call. This is WRONG! Cancel this right now. I have offered for them to send me a bill for the charge to cancel and I will mail a money order for the amount they claim I owe. This is so wrong!

I originally signed up for the two-month basic plan and cancelled after delivery of the second month products. I received a third shipment and refused delivery as I had previously cancelled. Twice now Nutrisystem has taken money from my Bank Account without my permission. I have recently cancelled the account for a third time and was promised reimbursement of funds for the nonfrozen amount of product but have yet to receive the product or reimbursement.

I should have looked into it more. My joints do not do well with so much grain esp. when it is white pasta (how can that be healthy?). I was disappointed in so much snacks and bars. I believe healthy means less snacking and eating better food. Didn't think all this stuff was all that "delicious". I lose some weight because I stuck with the food, but after a while I starting eating other things instead. So I canceled but not soon enough I have a box now that will be a "just in case we need something, anything to eat". I know many people must enjoy it but I didn't.

My order was mailed without items such as a daily tracker which made starting the program difficult. I spoke with a guy from the Nutrisystem Counseling Team who was not rude but seemed in a rush to explain the plan. Not very helpful. I called back today and spoke with Penny from the same team. She was very helpful. She saw in her records that items were missing on shipment but that the missing items were on the way. She also patiently walked me through my daily plan explaining not only how the plan is set up but also why. She then emailed a digital copy of the tracker complete tracker (PDF), a full day at a glance of meal types required of the tracker (in Word) and even a grocery guide. She was very patient, helpful and kind! She is an excellent ambassador for Nutrisystem. Penny's assistance more than made up for the oversight in sending an incomplete order. As for the food, it is delicious, packed well and in good condition.

I ordered La Carte just few days ago and didn't realize that that did not automatically stop a regular $340 order that got charged a couple days later. So, now I have this $340 order coming that I didn't ask for and your claims dept couldn't care less because the frozen food is already on FedEx so because I have a small freezer I will be throwing the entire order directly into my recycling bin unopened... (into the trash). Your so called customer service person had attitude and didn't mind losing a customer for good. So after me spending thousands on your diet you chose to not work with me and take your lousy $340 and lose a customer. What a scam your company is. I will spread the word or mouth any chance I get.

Nutrisystem was wonderful when it came to requesting cancellation of my plan w/ them. They were VERY understanding of my situation (surgery & costs arising from it, etc.) and they even sent me a discount coupon to use when & if I should be willing and able to once again use their program. By the way, the food was delicious & it certainly never left me feeling hungry, in fact there were times when I ate what & when I was supposed to even though I wasn't thinking of food. Surprisingly, I lost weight even though it seemed as though I was eating more. I ALWAYS lose weight post-op (I have R A & have needed a couple of joint replacements) so I plan on keeping it off using the tools afforded me by the information I received from Nutrisystem! Just thought you might like To know that they are one of the GOOD GUYS!!

I started on the Nutrisystem diet on August 3, 2016. To this date 9/11/16 I have lost 14 lbs and 4" off my waist line. This is the easiest and best diet ever. I love the fact you don't lose 1-2 lbs a day which we all know we put back on and then some more. Nutrisystem is a winner with me. The food is great. Add a salad and a steamed veg with your entree and you have a great meal... The snacks are unbelievable. I eat a snack (dessert) every night which I didn't do before and still losing the weight. By far you can't go wrong with Nutrisystem. The shakes are so flavorful and sweet and NOT chalky like the other companies have. I am so satisfied with this program and so will you. Give it a try if you don't like or dissatisfied you get your money back. So what do you have to lose. Only the weight and feeling better about yourself.

It was the second time my login wouldn't work. Seems that it was near the end of my first month the first time and this week is the end of my 2nd month when I couldn't log in again. It's okay now. Let me start off by saying this is my second time trying Nutrisystem. The first time I tried it was back in 2012. I loved it! I also lost about 30lbs in 2 months. However it became a bit pricey too for me to continue. I managed to keep the weight off for about 2 years. Then I slowly gained it back after having my 3rd baby. I got an email with a promotion of $250 off. So I figured, "Hey why not let me try it?" I initially started with the Core Program (no frozen foods) because it is a bit pricey. However after being on it now for about a week I am not liking too many of the choices and feel that the Uniquely yours option would be better. I literally just received my food just last week and asked them if it was possible to change my plan for the next shipment but keep my discounted price they offered when I first ordered. Their response was NO. They would change my plan however they could not keep my discounted price.
This kind of gave me a negative feeling about them. Not sure why I would not get the same thing I was offered just 1 week ago? I did not ask them to send it to me on this order. I am committing to another month and wanted to change plan but keep my same promotional offer. I mean that's the reason I signed up again. I am not asking for an additional discount just the same one I have now. But they said if I change my plan I lose the discount I have. Not Good... Debating whether I should just cancel. I believe in their product because I am living proof that it has worked however it's bad business ethic. Not Happy.

Was looking forward to losing some weight. It became an instant struggle. Lost about 7 lbs, then couldn't make any headway. I got very disappointed, weight dropped from 201 to 194 and that was it. I now am back to 202, after several months of buying food. Like the last time I got down to 184, 4 lbs short of my goal, a couple of years ago.

NS really worked for me. I will admit breakfast is the best, followed by lunch. Not too thrilled about the dinners. Maybe if I ordered the frozen entrees I might change my mind. The program has really opened my eyes to portion control and supplement between meals. It has been a good experience and I am currently eating less NS products but continuing good eating habits during the week. Weekends not so much.

So I am in my first month of Nutrisystem and I will start with the good. I have lost 10 lbs in the first 23 days so I am very happy with that. Overall I feel the plan is easy to follow and most of the food is good. I am on the Nutrisystem Uniquely Yours plan which includes the frozen food options. Let me tell you, the extra money for frozen choices is definitely worth it. I enjoy the frozen entrees much more than the non-frozen ones. I think having the frozen foods to choose from will help me stick to the program.
The only complaint that I have is that I was sent 1 week of Turbo10 that is supposed to help jump start the weight loss. This is food that was chosen by Nutrisystem. I ate the food for 2 day and was not enjoying it, I would try the food and then throw away half of the meal because I really didn't like it. Well on the second night when I tried to make my dinner I fainted (most likely because I was not eating enough). This led me to start eating the food that I had chosen and since then it's been going great. But here I am with days worth of food that I will not eat. So I contacted a customer service representative online who told me I could return the food that I had and was not intending to eat.
He gave me the phone number to call and when I reached the second representative, he said that because the food was a part of the Turbo10, they could not accept the food because that was the only way to guarantee the up to 10 lbs in the first month. Well I have already hit that mark and do not need any guarantee. I am just frustrated that I have all of this food that is going to waste all because it was included in the Turbo10 box. I have ordered an extra week of food in my next month's order to make up for the Turbo10 box. I was hoping to get some credit back after spending another $60 for a week of food.
Their website states, "If, within thirty days of receipt of your package, you wish to return any unopened Nutrisystem non-frozen food item, Nutrisystem will give you a refund (less return shipping), no questions asked; that's how confident Nutrisystem is that you'll love the food and enjoy losing weight with the diet program." I find this to be misleading. All of the food I intended to return is non-frozen food and they are all items offered on their regular menu. So why should I be unable to return it. Overall I am frustrated with this aspect and can understand reviews about sub par customer service. I intend to stick to the program because I am seeing great results but I am weary to contact customer service for help with anything in the future.

I received my box damaged with several items inedible. I sent a request to have them replaced and to also ship my 10 lb bear that was missing. Within 24 hrs I received a response saying the new shipment will be sent out with a confirmation of the shipment. Very satisfied and happy with the quick turnaround. Thank you!

I don't think Nutrisystem is a very good diet to go on. The food taste horrible, and I always have to choke it down just to lose weight. Also, I wanted to cancel my plan, but it costs $99 dollars just to cancel this! Why the hell should you pay that much money to stop using Nutrisystem?! That's not straight. I hope you lower the amount you have to pay to stop doing this plan so I can cancel and pay less money. This isn't straight.

I wanted to try one month of food. After finishing the first month, I achieved my goal. I called 12 hours into day 15 to cancel further shipments. I was notified that I would be billed an additional $99.00 for choosing to stop the program. So in total, I'll be paying a total of $474.00 for one month of food. Really, Nutrisystem? This is an outrageous business practice. I strongly suggest that others should stay away from this business. I will never recommend Nutrisystem.

Thank you for contacting me regarding my lack of success on my Nutrisystem program the second time around. I have come to the conclusion that my expectations may have been too high. The first time I had a lot of weight to lose. This time, I didn't. I am going to follow my doctor's advice until the end of the year. If that doesn't work either, I will go back to Nutrisystem again and keep in touch with the counselors on a regular basis. The first time on Nutrisystem I lost over 80 lbs in 9 months. After putting on about 25 lbs I tried it again. This time no matter how much exercise I did, stuck to the program, spoke with counselors, it wasn't working. My doctor put me on a different diet.

So I signed up for this service online. I called to cancel my membership after losing my job. I was told there is a $99 cancel fee before the 3rd month. I never saw anything online describing that the price I paid was for auto shipping. Nowhere did I see any info about the cancel fee. I'm sure it's hidden somewhere on the site. Bait and Switch all I can say. If you think you won't be starving just eating the food you're mistaken. You'll have to add vegetables and other food YOU must buy. So basically you're spending a ton of money for food with high salt content plus buying your own food.

Well I subscribed for one month only and got my food. I learned from them how to control my appetite and eat healthy. I was satisfied till I got an email by the end of the month 7.30 PM informing me that my second order (that I never made) was prepared for dispatch!! I called customer service same time and I've been told it's an AFTER HOUR call, so I had to email customer service using the email provided at their website. Email came back to me as DELIVERABLE email address!!
Next day I call customer service and the guy advice me to call FedEx and refuse the package so it goes back to them and so they can refund me. After the package returned to sender it took them 2 weeks for PARTIAL refund me!!! Yes they claiming it is their return policy! They have to charge me $99 + $19 for shipping!!! I am disputing with my credit card company right now since they don't want to work things out and their representative told me to go ahead and write a bad review if that's what it want!!

I think your delay of order site needs much improvement. First, it states that you can delays as much as you like but that is not true. I was told for only 6 months. Second, calendar is behind and only goes 1 month out from current date. How is anyone going to be able to delay within 60 days window? Third, how is it that there is a cancellation fee if I want to cancel my order? Delivery hasn't taken place yet. I would understand that if food was already on its way or if it is past the 14 day trial period. I can get refund for returning food within 14 days if I am dissatisfied. Doesn't make sense. In any case, I will try to speak to someone first but I have had bad experience even then when I am talking to a rep!!!

For the past week or so I have been attempting to add the $39.99 order for Turbo10 shakes to my first order but every time I have tried to place an order I get to the "submit order" page where I enter my CC information and the promotion fails to come up and allow me to take advantage of it. I have been on chat 3 times now and while they have been extremely helpful both times they were not able to solve my problem. This evening the person who was helping me sent me a link and at first it worked but then I noticed that while the shakes had been added the amount for the plan was $50 higher and when I tried to return to chat it had closed down. I then tried to get back on chat but the service was no longer available.
Three days ago I emailed customer service and was passed on to 3 different areas. Everyone was very nice but still failed to help. The last email came in early yesterday saying that I they had passed my problem on to another department but as of tonight I have not heard back. I am really frustrated that no one can help me with this with. I have placed my order because I really want to begin. My wife is on the program and doing very well. Can someone please tell me how I can order the shakes at the promotion cost? Thank you.

I went on website to order the uniquely yours program with Nutrisystem. The price on the website was for $241.99 but went to order it came to $339.9. When I called them I was told it was a mistake and they couldn't honor the price. I was promised a call back from a manager in the sales department to discuss the issue but never received that call. I'm extremely disappointed in the service I received and feel I should of been able to get the product for the price they were advertising it for instead of being ignored and pretty much called a liar. I was asked to take a screenshot of what the offer was but instead of honoring the price they immediately took it down as if it didn't happen and pretending they had no idea on what I was talking about. Poor customer service if you ask me.

My husband wanted to try the system so we ordered the food for a month. Apparently there is some small print when you order that says you have to have two months worth of food to get the promotional discount and you can't cancel without paying a $99.00 fee. The operator who explained it to me said that I can buy shakes for $79.00 (which we don't care for) and then I can call in again and cancel. The system worked for my husband but the food is terrible and he thinks now after 30 days he can cut down on portions with small snacks in between. I was very disappointed to find that we now need to pay another $79.00 because we failed to read the small print. There is truth to the statement "Buyer Beware".

The Nutrisystem program promised 10lb. loss the first month. I am now in my 4th week and have barely lost 4 lbs. I followed the program to the letter so I suspect that the plan just doesn't work for me. I can live with that, but what I find very objectionable is that when I cancelled, I was told I would have to pay a $99 cancellation fee or buy the next month's food. Somehow when I signed up, I was put on an auto-pay plan. I can't figure out how I would've ordered just a month of food as advertised. I feel this is a unfair business practice.

The tv ad says you get your money back if not satisfied. In the fine print, which they cite, says you must inform them within 14 days of purchase. How can one know if they are satisfied after two weeks? They refuse to give a refund, and they also sent another shipment for $424.00 that I did not know was coming. This company is guilty of false advertising.

I purchase my Nutrisystem boxes on a weekly basis for myself and my husband at my local Walmart. This week we are using the Jumpstart Box. I have tried a different box every week and really like these products. They taste good and are very easy to use for weight loss. I have used 2 days of product from my Jumpstart box and notice that one of the Chocolate sandwich cookies "packaging" is sealed with nothing inside the wrapper. I attempted to take it back to Walmart and they were not able to replace the missing item due to the box being partially eaten. I then called customer service at Nutrisystem and was told that they could not help me due to the Nutrisystem product being purchased at Walmart.
I want to know what I need to do to get this product replaced and will be glad to mail the sealed wrapped for the Chocolate Sandwich Cookies to you as proof of what happened. I am upset that Nutrisystem would not replace their missing item and that Walmart was unable to do so either. Please advise on what can be done about this issue...

Signed up on 7/27 by a sales call from Nutrisystem. She explained that if I sign up she will give $50 off from first month at total cost of $245 and second month will be same price. I reiterated that if I sign up I will get the same discount on second month as well. She said "yes". After I agreed is when she mentioned about cancellation fee of $99 if I cancel after first month. After about three two weeks on the plan I did lose about 5 pounds. The food that was auto-filled was filled with meal bars. Some are chocolate covered which I did not try as I am not crazy about chocolate.
When it was time to order second month I noticed that price was $20 more than what I was quoted by the saleslady. I chatted online with one of their representative and he explained about promotions and that's why it is higher on the second month. It is not the amount but the business principle. It's as though they will say anything to get the sale and if the consumer cancels, they still get cancellation fee. I'm disappointed and discouraged to promote Nutrisystem to my anyone.

I inquired about the sodium content of your food items. I am on a restricted sodium diet (for kidney health). Megan ** replied w/ limited info & a link to get more info. The link failed to provide the info I need before further considering an order of Nutrisystem products. Megan also suggested that I check w/ my doctor before going on any diet. This is something I intend to do but the sodium level is of concern & I need to have it in order for my doctor or me to make an informed decision. I replied to Megan ** expressing my need for the detailed sodium count in your products before ordering any products.
I just now sent it & will allow sufficient time for the response that is needed before going further w/ the Nutrisystem program. I have been on a sodium restricted diet for many years (30+) & am familiar w/ ways to decrease sodium intake while still eating satisfying meals. The price is high, compared to home preparation but I need a system that I can manage & still stay w/in my restricted sodium limits. If Nutrisystem fits my need, I can possibly take the next step!
UPDATED ON 08/23/2016: I was still waiting for the answer to a question (asked 3 times) & informed them (ConsumerAffairs) that I could not/would not order before my question was answered. How could I be a "verified buyer" when I had not yet received the information needed to consult w/ my doctor? Makes me wonder what else is misrepresented by this company? And then I read of the $99 cancellation fee which apparently came as a surprise to several other "verified buyers"! I'm still waiting for a response to an additional question... I doubt I will ever be a "verified buyer." I'm so disappointed. I thought/hoped that Nutrisystem might be the answer to my hope of losing weight, despite being partially paralyzed & confined to a wheelchair. I have a ZERO TOLERANCE of being "used" to mislead naive folks for the profit of others. I take pride in a lifetime of ALWAYS being "TRUTHFUL"!

When ordering online, it is in very small print that you cannot cancel your auto-renew until after at least 2 months meals!!! After beginning the program I decided that it wasn't for me and tried to cancel. I was very adamantly advised that the contract was explained in "Terms and Conditions" and that I agreed to it, so to cancel cost me another $99. THE ABSOLUTE WORST BUSINESS PRACTICE I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH!!! Definitely have no interest in customer service. And, the food terribly processed and is filled with preservatives - certainly not a healthy way to lose weight. I would not recommend to anyone!!!

Initially in panic mode late last night, I felt blindsided by the notice of impending shipment of more Nutrisystem Select for Men. After waiting until morning, I was able to have the shipment delayed until 10/14 by a very pleasant service rep. A follow up "chat" with Kim in customer service, provided me with a transcript of the transaction; I am much relieved! My current health status has been compromised by a recent fall at home. :-() I will have to continue to stagger future shipments in order to keep w/in budget while sharing my Nutrisystem largess with my adult son who recently moved back home as of April 1st! I'm particularly grateful to Michael ** who had guided me through an earlier misunderstanding on my part. He has been great. :-)) My grandpa had the habit of saying, "It's tough to get old"; now I know what he was hinting at as I reach his age!

The program gave me structure... Got me results and taught me balance in my eating habits and food choices/portions. The emails about nutrition are very helpful and appreciated. As far as the meal plans... I liked the new pouch packaging for some of the selections and the menu choices offered variety. I didn't like that the breakfast shakes were no longer automatically included in the meal plans & and I didn't like the new tracker book design... The spiral books opened flat and were just easier to use.

My NuMi journal is not updating info from my Fitbit scale, though it indicates that it is connected. I emailed for help and I was told to disconnect then reconnect the device, and if that didn't work to call. I did that, and it didn't work, so I called. The person I talked to had no idea what to do and was no help whatsoever. Nutrisystem seems to be touting the claim that the NuMi journal syncs with tracking devices and scales. I am very disappointed that there is no tech support to make that a reality, in my case.

First of all, I want to say, that the customer service rep that answered my emails was fair and did a fine job. I am not dissatisfied with the representative. I am dissatisfied with the program itself. Nutrisystem worked for some extended family members and I was hoping it would work for me too. But the fact that you have no no-soy options is very ridiculous. My doctor says to stay away from soy. When you add the fact that I cannot consume dairy, that eliminates most weight-loss programs, shakes etc. etc. etc. What am I to do? Exercise alone clearly is not helping me as I am still 60 lbs overweight.

First let me say that Nutrisystem works, at least for me. I've been on the program for a month and lost 12 pounds so far without many instances of hunger pains. But here are the things you need to be aware of that are not readily known. Depending on your point of view, Nutrisystem is expensive. The program only provides about half the food they want you to eat. You have to buy fruits, vegetables and a lot of stuff they call power foods and smart carbs that will add another couple hundred dollars to your food bill over the cost of the program. Next, I read all the time you don't have to count calories or do portion control. That is not true. All the supplemental food you buy is strictly portion controlled.
Lastly, their standard (and cheapest) food pack is terrible. If you want to enjoy this program at all you will need to spend an additional $20 a month to customize your meals. So what is wrong with the standard pack? Well nothing if eating dry old granola bars is your idea of food. About half the breakfast and lunch food is one of about two dozen different types of granola bar. Lastly the snacks included are also terrible. Bags and bags of a dozen different dry pretzels, puffed chips, etc. So am I happy with the program so far - yes; is it perfect - no. So do yourself a favor. Struggle through the first month with the standard pack to see what you want to get rid of and from then on customize your food selection each month.

We certainly understand that some people may not enjoy the meals provided on the Basic plan, however as you stated we do have a customization option available on the Core and Uniquely Yours plans so that you can select your menu to your preferences.
As the Nutrisystem program is not an all-inclusive diet, we do want members to be adding in those grocery items each day for the best results. We've found that the knowledge gained through adding in these foods on your own as well as the flex meals help members to feel more comfortable with eating off of the plan as well.

Your excellent advertising seems to ignore an important category - older folks. I have lost 55 pounds - down from 260 to 205 lbs. My cardiologist was so happy to see that I had taken his advice and achieved a serious weight loss. He said most older people ignore his pleadings. I am 79 1/2 yrs old. Both my doctor and my cardiologist have studied my recent blood work report and cannot believe how positive that report is. The "elderly" - big opportunity!!

I previously used Nutrisystem and lost some weight but was not at all pleased with the taste of a lot of the entrees. Many of them were over spicy and I don't eat that sort of thing. My mother and I tried this this past January and it did nothing for us! We ate the recommended foods, which I will say did taste very good, but neither of us lost weight! I lost maybe 3 pounds the whole month and my mom lost around 5. They give a guarantee of 10 pounds, which is a lie.

Disappointment in the program... The menu selections I made were ignored. The last straw was a pleasant conversation with one of your reps and then another disappointment. She promised 3 lunches and 5 dinners. After a week I received 3 lunches. 2 were different than my order, and nothing else. The 5 dinners never arrived. I called and spoke to young lady that couldn't have cared less.

I give them 2 stars because I lost about 6 or 7 lbs the first month - not 10 in a month but I am a realist and know things can be exaggerated in marketing, especially for diet programs. However I did not like the taste of the foods - their meal bars and breakfasts (although quite limited in selection) were palatable - it was the entrees that were bad tasting. Compartmentalizing some components of the meal, for example, separating the rice from the sauces in packaging would prevent an overall marinating of the different items of the meal. IT often looked like I was opening a can of moist dog food, to be honest. The taste was not so good. Everything tasted like everything else. The cheese and chocolate items tasted very fake as well.
For the cost, especially when taking into consideration that I had to purchase A LOT of foods after the cost of the meals was perhaps somewhat balanced by the convenience but taste put it over. So I didnt like the food. The real reason I give two stars is because I was told by customer service that I would return the unused food for a credit. OK. This sounds good - I'll use up my credit on meal bars, shakes and breakfast items I liked. The attempt to send the return label by email resulted in a label I could not print, even after trouble shooting with fedex, so I called them back. They agreed to mail me a label - great! You people are really helpful - so I packed up my items (practically a months worth of entrees) and put the box in my spare room to await the label and told them on the phone that I wanted to stop auto shipping for the time being.
Then life continued in its busy way and I forgot about everything as my plan was to just pull the box and mail it off when the label arrived. I get an email stating that there is a problem with my auto delivery today. What? (Background: I was issued a new credit card. My old expired and they could not process my payment). Thank goodness or I would have gotten more food. Never got the mailed return label and "it is beyond 90 days" since shipment of the food I want to return so they would not issue another label. Never mind the label wasn't sent. This is my fault because I should have contacted them sooner to remind them to do what they promised they would do.
I spent a total of 40 minutes on two holds to be told "its policy" and that I should call my credit card company and dispute my order!!! Sounds like fraud to me so no thank you. My next call is to share this with my credit card company. The food I want to return will probably outlast the cardboard box they are packed into so go figure. What happened to the days of good customer service when those answering the phone had the authority to work within a policy and satisfy the customer? Oh well, anybody hungry? Im cooking tonight for anyone who shows up at my door. LOL.

I have been a long time fan of Nutrisystem Vanilla D shakes. To me they have been the only protein shake that comes in a bottle, that tastes good. For some reason the batch that is now on the shelves in Eastern MA is awful. It was bottled with the expiration date of March 2017. I cannot drink it. Is there anywhere that I can buy shakes with a different expiration date? I have bought up all of the bottles with an older expiration date that are available in this area. I miss them and would like to know if Nutrisystem will be making the Vanilla Crush into a ready made shake, as it has with the chocolate? For some reason the powdered protein shakes do not taste the same.

Now we need to buy a bigger home -- would highly suggest you package and ship your product by the week instead of lunches - dinners, etc. We have spent the most part of our morning sorting through and putting together (the best we can) our meals. Starting in January 2016, my girlfriend used the program for several months and did not get any results. I paid for her to try the program because she could not at the time. She decided not to do it anymore so we attempted to cancel it, but in February we received another box - which we sent back, asked for a refund-got a refund, and told them to cancel all future orders. In March we received another box - which we sent back, asked for a refund-got a refund, and told them to cancel all future orders. In April we received another box- which we sent back, asked for a refund, and told them to cancel all future orders. She got an email telling us we got a refund. In May we received another box- which we sent back, asked for a refund, and told them to cancel all future orders.
FINALLY, we got an email telling us all future orders were canceled- "As you requested, we have cancelled your Auto-Delivery". But Nutrisystem is still trying to charge my credit card for the boxes we canceled and returned to them. My credit card company is telling me the charges are in dispute even though we called, canceled and returned all unopened boxes to them. Someone from Nutrisystem needs to call my credit card company and resolve the charges. I have not kept any boxes of product since January 2016 and my credit card company called me again on July 21, 2016 to say Nutrisystem is still trying to charge for one month. I think 6 months of this is long enough to deal with it.

Nutrisystem worked for me because the program is easy to follow, the food tastes great, and it gave me the structure I needed to accomplish my weight loss goals. So far I have lost 105 lbs and I feel great! Nutrisystem takes the guess work away; no counting calories, just open the food and enjoy! I was still able to enjoy my favorite foods like pizza, muffins, and popcorn which helped curb cravings. The contract, return policy, and the food is absolutely horrible. Try to exchange items for what you want? It is either not in your program or discontinued. Try to cancel your membership? Near impossible task. You will guarantee spend $600++ just beginning the program. The food is disgusting (unless you like canned ravioli, I prefer good quality fresh food). Over priced ** program. Supposed it works for some which is great but the restrictions on this program is unbelievable. Lastly, I need wheat free and dairy free, when I ordered the Vanilla/Chocolate Turbo pack I received all chocolate with meals have wheat and dairy in them. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!

I always felt like I had willpower, but my portions were out of whack and I slowly but surely constantly gained weight. The regular eating, portion control, and protein and nutritional packed meals on Nutrisystem were absolutely critical for my success. Tracking my food is also very eye opening and motivating for me. Bottom line - it worked. I started at 241 pounds and exceeded my goal of losing 30 pounds. I lost 38 pounds in 5 months, thanks to Nutrisystem!

Resolved with the help of consumeraffairs.com. I have been completely dissatisfied with the company as the customer service was very poor and I ended up getting the order I cancelled over the phone. The whole issue was brought up and explained as my fault, however I delayed the delivery with the automated service. The company claimed no responsibility like it never occurred. Shipped the item back, got my money refunded.

I was on automatic delivery and received an email saying that a new order is about to ship. I called 3 days before the processing date and was prompted to a computer, which asked me if I wanted to delay the order. I agreed and it confirmed that it was delayed for 10 days. Today I receive an email saying it shipped. I called customer service and asked not to ship the item. I am going on vacation, and will not be there to receive the item. The customer service rep said that they cannot stop the shipment as it was not scanned in yet? And even if they did, it would be a shipping charge I am responsible for, she says she has no record of me calling prior to the processing date. She also proposed I arrange for someone else to receive it and ship it back? Now I have to pay for shipping, find someone to deal with after I called and delayed it. Their system is designed to deceive you and cost money. I am yet to lose the pounds.

I have spent over a thousand dollars on Nutrisystem food and while I've liked the flavors of many of the items, lately quality control has been down with food arriving not expired, but chalky and old (see pic). To add to that, I had MANY food items that QUICKLY expired. For the hundreds of dollars charged each month and the manner of the food, there is no reason for this to suddenly happen. I felt like they had food that was about to expire and they loaded up my orders with them. :(
When I contacted Nutrisystem, I was pleasantly surprised that their customer service department was standing by their products and they offered to replace all of these items. I followed their instructions and spent time organizing them, photographing them and I still have them if they want them returned. Then the WAITING started. No answer from the first email and no replacements. No answer from the 2nd email and no replacements received. They finally responded to the 3rd email, claiming they didn't receive the others and then DECLINED to replace them even though they had stated they would. Lying is not a customer service trait that I look for in a company. :(

Hi, Today I checked my acct and instead of the 300.00 dollars for my second month like the salesperson promised, I was charged 389.00 so I called... 20 mins wait... was told that they charged me again for the turbo shakes (and not at discount price... Full price) that I would have to send it back and wait for a refund. I really trusted the salesman that sold it to me, cause I was concerned that it would only be 300.00. (I never let someone charge my acct but he reassured me! I was disconnected two times, 20 mins on hold to reach each person.)
With that being said I love the program! I have lost 14 lbs in one month... But I would like to cancel my subscription so I will not be overcharged any more! Update: emailed customer service... Now I have to pay to send product back! And it will take two billing cycles to refund and only to the card that I bought it with. Card expires July 2016.

I needed the strict portion control with the choice of a variety of meals. I tried making portioned meals in advance but that limited my meal choices and became bothersome for me. If one tracks their monthly grocery expenses, including eating out meals, the small additional cost for Nutrisystem more than justifies the results. I feel much healthier. My one suggestion is for NS to publish a "cookbook" using NS meals as the base, adding spices and other ingredients to add even more variety. This would be successful, I believe, especially when ordering NS long term. Nutrisystem could possibly start with the recipes from The Leaf and customer submissions.

When I went on Nutrisystem I was 298 pounds. I now weigh 174. I have maintained my weight for a number of years. I am very conscious of what I eat now. It's a way of life. I have recently retired so I can't afford to stay on Nutrisystem so I try my own methods to maintain my weight. Also far I am doing just that. I love your diet. Especially when I was working. Just prepare and eat. Very easy to stick with it.

My rating would have been 4 or 5 stars prior to my last email but I didn't get a satisfactory answer from counseling except that "foods are reformulated from time to time." Which I understand but that doesn't explain the pizza I got with virtually NOTHING on it. I even sent a pic. Also had 2 days during the last month that I had a sick tummy from eating frozen entrees.... and I can't recall now which ones except one was a egg and sausage muffin thing. Overall, I am satisfied with the program. I am losing weight but if I keep getting sick or keep getting foods that are not what they're suppose to be, my rating will be severely lower.

Customer Service explained that there was a new manufacturer for the products. They offered to replace all with those of our choice without cost or shipping. We thoroughly enjoyed the old Margherita pizza formula. The major taste was tomato which is what Margherita pizza should be. In fact both my wife's and I major dinner selection was the Margherita pizza. The last order we got we got a new formula pizza. It tasted horrible. It has an overwhelming parmesan flavor or something else of a strong cheese flavor. It is not a good change and quite frankly we stopped all future Margherita pizza orders. The pizza is also smaller! I know it list the same weight on package but the crisper below the pizza on old formula filled the crisper plate. The new one does not.

I did go back to order their shake special after I made my first order, and they honored everything that the first salesmen told me they would (price and shipping). I had not tried the shakes before I ordered the Big Plan, but I had some that I had picked up at Wal-Mart. He said if I tried them and liked them to give them a call and they would send them out at the special price. I was sure the shakes would taste nasty like some other diet ones I have tried, but these chocolate ones were quite tasty. Looking forward to getting this weight off!

When I called to cancel my second month with Nutrisystem they informed me that there would be a $99.00 penalty for canceling. I voiced my displeasure at this and at first, they told me it was clearly stated on their website. I went to the contract and in very fine print and in a confusing language it was there. After calling them and telling them what I thought of their deceptive marketing practices they waived the $99.00 which is what I was looking for.

I entered the Uniquely Yours Plan. Before I finished with the first 28 day plan I called and told them I wanted to stop the plan and don't send me anymore meals per the instructions. I had already paid over $425 dollars for the first part of the plan and the meals weren't very palatable at all and way too expensive. That is why I stopped. I was then notified that I was going to owe Nutrisystem $99.00 to stop or continue with another month of bad food at the cost of over $458.00. I was told to go back and read the fine print on the cancellation policy. Not only was it very fine print. It is very confusing and on first read it sounded like Nutrisystem was going to refund me $99.00. Letters to the BBB and the State AG are in order.

I purchased the NutriSystem and was promised I would lose 10 lbs in the first month. I wanted to lose 20, so I figured two months would have me at my goal weight. I exercised every day - walked 2 to 2 1/2 miles, went to the gym and did a workout tape at home. I followed the program religiously, no alcohol, exercised, ate fresh veggies. I only lost 3 pounds!!! I had terrible stomach pains and was constantly bloated and very uncomfortable. I still have a full box of food that I will not touch. I lost 15 pounds on my own without all the discomfort.

This is the 2nd time I have tried Nutrisystem. The first time, I didn't like many of the items. I followed the plan until all items were gone and ended up gaining weight. This year I had lost 12 lbs on my own and the idea of ramping that up 10 lbs in one month, I decided to try again. My first issue was ordering. I was told a certain price by the customer service person and I pointed out their website showed a different price. I cut and pasted their website price into the chat. Then I was told I'd be getting a $30 discount. It wouldn't go through she said but she'd apply it to my 2nd order (because I did auto delivery). That's right, to get the discount I was told I'd get, I had to place a 2nd order. As for the money back guarantee. Well you have to return the product within weeks of starting the program for the guarantee. I wanted to try the program for the month so I didn't get the money back guarantee.
The food was better than the previous time. I followed the plan exactly and I gained weight, 6 lbs. When the 2nd shipment arrived (the auto delivery I didn't get credit for), I wanted to send it back. Well, that would cost me $75. The frozen food arrived thawed because there wasn't any dry ice in the box. I called and was basically told they were sorry. That's it. Sorry. So I decided to keep it and changed up the program with how I lost 12 lbs and substituted some of my meals with Nutrisystem. Gained another 3 lbs. Stopped the program altogether and back to my old slow process, I've lost 5 of the lbs I gained on their program.
I called to cancel future shipments. I explained why. The man kept saying, "Well you didn't follow the program right". Yes, I did. I have under active thyroid and I don't know if their plan doesn't work well with that condition. Their packaged foods have a ton of chemicals in them. So I was cheated on the price of the 1st shipment. The 2nd shipment arrived thawed. I gained 9 lbs in 2 months on the program. Customer service ignored my questions on price, on shipment arriving thawed and when I canceled because the program failed to deliver any weight loss. 2nd shipment cost $305. First shipment cost $375. Waste of money.

Your customer service has a lot to be improved on. The online chat people know nothing and it's frustrating. They are easier to talk to as you aren't on hold for a half hour, but then half the time, they can't help you. Also, you need to quit changing the food. People are paying for this with hard earned money, and you change it and we don't like it and you do nothing about it. This needs to change.
Also, you need to add more food choices and do it more often. For example, why is there no breakfast that is maybe scrambled eggs and turkey sausage, or something like that? We need more choices. If you go to Jenny Craig they have MANY MORE choices than Nutrisystem does. Please do this and do it more often. Once a year is not enough.

You have a good product, but your plan did not work for my husband and me because we don't want anything to do with how your company does business. We joined and picked the items we knew we would like on your menu. It would have been great. However, a good portion of our delivery was things we did not order, did not like and threw away. When we called, we were told you make substitutes on items you are low on. This results in us paying for things we will not eat. I submit that, when everyone orders your newer and tastier items and you need to get rid of a stockpile of items no one wants, you dump them on your customers by means of "substitution." How stupid do you think people are? No thanks.

I have become disenchanted with Nutrisystem over the past couple of years. I have received moldy food, tasteless food, completely wrong orders, fewer food items for the same price, and packaging that is very difficult to open, as well as misleading information about getting, say, $100 off, which turns out to be $50 with the first order, then $25 with the next 2. I will not be reordering. Apparently, you are to open every package of food you receive in an order to ascertain if the food has problems, which the chocolate donuts did - they were moldy!! - and then make a complaint within 30 days. Otherwise, no replacement or refund. No suggestions were given about where you are supposed to put all the food you have removed from its packaging, or what to store the food items in.

Last June I signed up with Nutrisystem. The first month I went with the cheaper dry food plan. I didn't love it, but I lost weight. After 3 months I had lost 24 pounds. I had 30 to go, but I wanted to try to transition. I started using MyFitnessPal, lost ten more pounds and stalled. I want to emphasize that I did not regain any of the weight, I simply hit what seems like an unbreakable plateau. I exercise 4-5 days a week, so my frustration was intense. I decided to go back to Nutrisystem to see if I can wipe out the last 20 pounds. I love the frozen foods. This first week is tough because it is more restrictive, but I know it will work. I am looking forward to the deserts, cinnamon rolls, hamburgers...all of it.

I saw the commercial with Marie Osmond offer in the Nutrisystem plan with a free activity tracker. I called and ordered immediately. I was told by a phone representative I would receive it and the shake cup. When I received my order, neither one was in the boxes. I called again and was told they were out of the activity trackers. Well then, you shouldn't still be running the commercial. I was offered the cup and a box of shakes. Happy with the program, disappoints in the customer service.

First let me say, I started 4.5 months ago. I was weighing 210 lbs with 38" pants (a little tight but refused to go up any larger), and am only 5'8". I now am down to 165 lbs and comfortably in 33". All without working out. I read a number of reviews before purchasing Nutrisystem and decided that the good ones outweighed the bad so I gave the men's "Uniquely Yours" plan a try. It's only $2 more a day for a larger selection. The first week was good and bad. I'm a pretty picky eater and on the first month of this plan you do not get to select the meals. The bad part is there were a few things I just could not eat. It was either beans or chili, a food I have never liked and have never found a recipe I could tolerate.
The good part about the first week, when I was younger I never liked granola/breakfast bars or muffins, so I haven't tried them in years. During the first week I gave them a try, I liked them and now order them regularly. My first order, for the remaining 3 weeks, I selected foods with good reviews that I was confident I would like. I also selected basically 7 of each, so that each Monday I had the same breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks, then each of the Tuesdays had the same, and so on for the other days. This got old quick. Then I started trying to order a more broad range of foods so that I could try new things, which I'm glad I did. A few of my favorites turned out to be some of the foods with lower ratings. I now have a pretty set plan where I order basically two of each meal for the month, so my meals run on a 2-week cycle before repeating.
Some people have complained about the daily calories being too low, around 900 calories. These people obviously aren't following the plan as the plan is designed to incorporate fruits and veggies. Add in a few servings of these, a serving of cottage cheese with breakfast, some dressing on your salad and you are easily at 1,200+ of healthy balanced calories. One thing to be careful of is to plan your meals out. I didn't at first and then realized that some days my plan was 700 cal and the next might be 1,300. I made a simple excel file with the nutrition info from the site and now have my daily meals ranging from 900-1,100 calories before my extras. After fruits and veggies, cheese, etc I'm around 1,500 cal. Since I am happy with my current spot now, I allow myself some cheats such as a regular soda or a candy bar every few days.
I have been tempted to stop the system now, but have not for a couple reasons. First being that my girlfriend is still on a competitor's program, so I don't want to be cooking just for myself. 2nd being that I still don't trust myself with portion control. 3rd is that the meals are just too convenient. Pop it in the microwave for a couple minutes while I'm getting ready in the morning or while returning an email during the day. 4th, I can justify those cheats I have every few days knowing that my meals are healthy.

Hands down this was the worst experience ever. First, the order came and most of the items in the packaging were stale and not worth eating, let alone the $300 spent to start the program. Ok, I admit my fault. I shouldn't have started a fad diet program. The biggest reason I started was for the convenience of food already prepared and easy to take to work. Needless to say, I wasn't satisfied. The portions are tiny. Had I done my research properly, I would have realized that I was going to have to go to the store and buy supplemental items to go along with the advertised breakfast, lunch, and dinner... again my fault. However, I decided this program was not for me after about a month of shocking my body into starvation mode. I lost a total of 2 pounds... probably mostly water weight like most fad diets.
I called to ask to be taken off of the automatic delivery system, I was immediately sales pitched to continue the program. After I declined, it was explained to me that if I didn't order another $150 worth of their products, I would have to pay a $99 cancellation fee??? Hmm... didn't read the fine print well enough. Customer service was belittling and when I asked to speak with the diet counselor's supervisor, no one was available. NOT WORTH THE MONEY. STEER CLEAR OF THIS PRODUCT.

The CS have attitude and are not willing to help. They need to be trained on phone etiquette and how not to mislead their customers. I was told differing stories by two reps. I will NEVER use this company again. Also the vanilla shake is disgusting. $50 to cancel your order is such a scam.

Nutrisystem reached out to me to offer to 8 lost meals and $30 discount for future purchase. When I sent them the list of food, they rejected it because it includes frozen food. After I mentioned that it was not clear on the phone, they then said I can either get all frozen or all non-frozen items because of their system. I don't think it makes sense but I was already going back and forth and decided to let it go. As for $30, it honestly doesn't give me much value either I go with a la carte or monthly plan.

I've been their customer since couple years back, in and off whenever I need them. I was usually very happy with their customer service whether it was phone or chat. I recently started the program as diabetic and switched it over to regular program. I requested the change via chat and the rep ensured me that nothing is changing on the plan. I just received the new order and I realized I only received 24-day worth of lunch and dinner. I called to verify this and when I explained to rep, his basic response was "so what's your question?" Beside the fact his tone was not friendly and quite rude, he didn't seem to care that I received misleading information. Why would I switch if it means I'll basically lose 8 meals a month?? His explanation was diabetic people needs more food. (???) Anyway, I wasn't happy with his explanation and ended up canceling the service.

I hate to say the food was just awful. I think my dog's food made have tasted better. Very very small portions. The breakfast and lunch Bars were so dry but they almost choked me. Would not try again. I have done Nutrisystem and Jenny Craig and Jenny Craig food is way better. I did not lose the weight like they said 10 pounds in your first month too. I lost 6 pounds, I know everyone is different. But seeing how I could barely choke down the meals you would of thought I would of lost more.

When I started in October 2015, I followed the plan, starting with fast five. Did not lose a pound. Kept going, started walking daily, still only lost maybe 5 pounds the first month. Kept going and only started seeing results late December, after I cut out breakfast, snacks, and desserts. I lost 20 lbs from January through March. Stopped shipments in February and March and just continued low carb/low cal meals and lost 10 lbs. Started again in May and fluctuate from 26 to 30 lbs lost. Overall the program doesn't work for everyone like they lead you to believe. Don't fall for the hype!!

I was very pleased with the Nutrisystem diet. The meals are very good and balanced. In other diets, there is always a slip and if so I tended to not stay with the program. But with Nutrisystem it is totally different. I did not get hungry and always looked forward to a cup of tea and a snack after dinner. I would highly recommend Nutrisystem and looking for a sale to order a la carte items to maintain my weight loss. Thank you.

The food was good, but after 4 days, whatever is in the food reacted with my heart meds and I got sick, had to stop the diet. When I called for my refund (which was in the time frame for the refund) I was told I had to wait for my money until I send back the dry goods, which I did. I have the name of the person who signed for the pkg. and tracking #. Called again after the received everything back on 4/29/2016. Now told I would still have to wait up to 14 business days again until I get my money back on my credit card. Still waiting. No refund $304.99.

I ordered a one month supply, and I have to say most things tasted pretty good, considering it's all frozen and dehydrated. After I ordered, I went online to check on reviews and complaints (I know, I know, should have done that first) and found a number of people complaining about cancellation fees, so I called and asked what I would have to do to avoid such a fee if I wanted to cancel in the future. I was told by a cheerful young man that all I had to do was order something else after I received my initial shipment. He even added "All you need to do is order a few shakes." So I placed an order and after I received that I called to cancel, only to find out that they would be charging a cancellation fee anyway because "I took it upon myself to order a la carte" using the wrong portal. Really now, way to alienate your customers! Be warned folks!

I was sent an automated email stating I had two days left to customize my order before it shipped. That night I went online and changed my package and food selection on Nutrisystem's website. About a week later on April 14th, the wrong order was sent to me and was more expensive than what I selected, $364.97 vs $284.99. I called and talked to the customer care rep and she informed me that she was sorry and they would make it right. She sent me an email with a shipping label to return the dry food portion but said they could not accept the frozen portion back. She went on to inform me that due to their mistake, I would receive a FULL REFUND. I was satisfied and together we completed the correct order on the phone and I was then charged for the new, correct order. She sent the shipping label to my email and said that it will take a few days for them to process the refund once they receive the order back.
Weeks went by and I noticed I had not received the refund so I called customer care representative. The rep, Marcita, said she could only offer a refund for the dry food portion of the order, not the frozen portion. I explained this was unacceptable and wanted the full refund on the whole order since none of it is what I actually ordered. She couldn't so I then spoke to her supervisor, Zoe. She went on to say the same thing and put me on with her supervisor, Felicia, who not surprisingly said they same thing. All I wanted was to pay for the food that I ordered and get a refund for what was sent to me mistakenly. I thought that was reasonable by the Felicia informed me otherwise and said that I was not being reasonable. Needless to say I cancelled my auto-delivery with them as well as my future orders. It's a shame as I thought they actually had a decent product. P.S. This is the FIRST time I have ever written a NEGATIVE review.

Program is great, staff not so much. The program worked for me, lost 15 lbs. Cost got a little high and I had learned to eat better following the plan. Mind you, I come back to Nutrisystem every year or so to get back on track, maintain etc. I called to cancel my auto delivery this time and the gentleman was unbelievably rude. I will seriously think twice about coming back now. If it's going to be that uncomfortable to cancel I'm not going to put myself through it. I'll recommend the food to others but I'll absolutely let them know the risk of cancelling and the nastiness that could come with it.

Several years ago I used Nutrisystem and even though the food was not the best ever it was average to above average. Additionally I did lose weight. This time however it was a much different experience. The food was not eatable! Made me physically ill, and I was told I was to get my money back per their money back guarantee. I did not. I sent the unused food back to their warehouse per their instructions. Nutrisystem claims they cannot find it. I hope they just did not ship the food to another customer. Nutrisystem is not the same company they were when they began. STAY AWAY!!! This has been a nightmare. I feel as if I have been scammed.

I have used Nutrisystem for several years and have always had a nice experience until today. I had my account closed and will no longer use this company. They sent me two orders on the same day (due to auto delivery) and of course billed me for two orders of food. I called to explain that I couldn't pay for both orders in the same month. I talked to two girls and they continued to tell me that Nutrisystem didn't make a mistake. It took talking to a third person before someone seemed to understand the situation. Since the food had arrived at my door it was all my problem to fix.
They continued to say that they could give me a discount on future orders! What about the double payment you are charging me now??? Be careful if you have auto delivery - this could happen to you and it's too late when it does because their response will be that it has already shipped and now the customer has to pay the double price and then go through the hassle of sending a very heavy box back to them. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!!
Updated on 05/13/2016: The response from Nutrisystem is NOT correct. I had the order on auto-delivery and on hold so I could enter the new credit card information since the one on file had been closed due to a new card being issued. I'm sure this happen to ALL the Nutrisystem customers with credit cards- especially when a new card is issued for expired dates or replacement. I have put MANY orders on hold and NEVER had two orders show up at my door on the same day and billed for two months of food at one time. Again, they DID NOT care and only wanted to tell me all the steps I had to take to correct the auto-delivery mistake.
When I received my new card in the mail I entered the information on the Nutrisystem site and they sent me two orders! Again, the damage was done by taking an additional $350 out of my account and saying that they could refund me in 7-10 business days after I call FedEx, wait for a pick-up, wait for FedEx to deliver it to Nutrisystem, wait for them to check their package and then wait for them to refund my account. Nutrisystem has never done this before. They acted as if an additional $350 was no big deal and just didn't care about any financial concerns I had. The worst customer service and their response is still blaming me for the mistake!!

I chose the Uniquely Yours option. I love to be in control of what I eat so that I can feel satisfied. The options are phenomenal! The hamburgers are juicy, the Salisbury Steak with Mac and cheese is awesome, the Lasagna with Meat Sauce is to die for and the snack (Desert) choices are exceptional! I have noticed more so the inches lost and my clothing fits a lot better. What makes Nutrisystem a success is: You are eating REAL FOOD. You are not depriving yourself of anything! I have used your system twice with great results as has my wife. This last time though I am not satisfied at all with the changes to my order. I still have 15 pizzas I still have to eat even though I only ordered two and most of my entrees were substituted for items I don't prefer to eat. That is the reason I cancelled my standing order. We have been responsible for at least 20 people joining your program. I can only hope that their experience is a positive one. I will still recommend Nutrisystem because it works, although I will be a little hesitant before I use it again.

I don't EVER write reviews, but I really love this diet and would like others to know it really does work. The food is actually really good. I've only found a few things I don't care for and I wouldn't care for them no matter who made them. I hate Lemon and in the Turbo10 week you have to eat a lemon blueberry bar. It was ok, but if you don't like lemon it doesn't matter how good it is. Lol. The frozen food is quite tasty. I am hungry by snack time but then it's snack time so I get to eat something. Being on a diet is never easy or fun, but really I feel like this is teaching me the proper quantities a meal should be and how to eat smarter calories.
I have read other reviews, they complain of bad customer service. My guy Jerry was awesome, very helpful and polite. He seemed pretty honest about not being able to cancel for 2 months to avoid pay $99 cancellation fee. He seemed very knowable. I can image it cost Nutrisystem a bundle to ship, esp. frozen foods so that cancellation policy seems very fair to me. I haven't used the counseling so I cannot speak of that. If you're on the fence, try it!

I found I could buy the same food at the local store for several dollars cheaper! Do not fall for their ads! Look for low calorie, low saturated fat content items at your local store and lose weight without the high cost!

I received my box of food. I ripped the tape off the top of the box. Opened the flaps of the box and saw black bugs scampering around. I slammed the lids down and screamed for a repellent. Even though it was for mosquitoes I sprayed it all over the box and inside. My husband and I put the entire box on our deck. It was raining but I had to get this box out of the house. I covered the box entirely to protect it from the rain. When it stopped raining I searched the entire box. I didn't want rip open every food box to see where others were hiding. This was gross enough! I want to hear from you immediately.

I ordered the 360 shakes on auto-delivery. I tried a couple packets and it did not suit my taste. I am not saying this is a bad program. It just didn't taste good. The taste is not the reason for writing this review. My complaint is customer service. First of all, to cancel the program you have to call. You can only delay delivery on line. That's one issue I didn't like. I finally take the time to call, go through the whole scenario by verifying my phone number and address "FIVE TIMES". Now that is ridiculous. I was transferred 5 times repeating the same information over and over. What is so hard about cancelling a program? Finally when Tinisha says I have to transfer one more time to cancel order it goes into the survey.
So I call back and speak with Isiah and ask him to check if my order was cancelled but no it wasn't. That is ridiculous. A consumer shouldn't have to jump through hoops to cancel an order. So I asked Isiah to cancel the order. He did and received an email. Why could Isiah do this in 3 minutes versus 10 mins of getting transferred Five Times and still no resolution? This is why I never purchase Nutrisystem again or refer to others. It should not be so difficult to cancel an order. I gave a sample packet to one of the nurses I work with asking her sample the shake because it is a good product but now I will let her know if she decided to order to rethink her purchase due to the cancelling process.

It definitely works. If you stick to the diet you will lose weight. It's not quick weight loss but it's slow and steady. My complaints so far are orders sometimes take a long time to arrive especially frozen food. Breakfasts are too sweet. I personally don't eat breakfast bars and muffins ever. I prefer savory food so I get a little bored with the savory selections and tend to just get pancakes and turkey egg McMuffin. The Canadian bacon muffin is nasty and rubbery. The omelet is a little sickly. I do not like the food that you add water to and microwave. Very salty. But I have found frozen lunches I like. Ditto for dinners. I have found about 5 that I like. The rest not so much. Same for desserts. Chocolate muffin is good. The rest not so much. But overall I am happy.

I ordered the basic system and have been on it about 3 weeks. My package gave me 2 shakes a day for only 8 days (free shaker not incl) and 3 meals a day. A snack was included for the days after the shakes. I keep reading about 6 meals a day but I didn't receive that much. From the start I was hungry all the time. The diet dropped me down to about 900 calories a day. It took 2 weeks to get use to it. The system works on portion control. As to the diet -- I received mainly pasta and pizza and numerous "protein" bars. For the first week breakfast was a muffin. The packaged meals tasted ok. The shakes didn't!
Knowing my second box was going to come automatically, I called and asked to speak with a nutritionist. I explained that the "protein bars" were way too sugary tasting for me. It was like eating a candy bar for lunch. I wasn't happy with the muffins either; I thought that was misleading - not teaching proper habits. Eating a muffin or candy bar, no matter what it has in it isn't good dietary habits. The nutritionist wasn't helpful at all, in fact she was rude. Told me if I had paid for a higher plan I could get better food. I asked to speak with someone else. She switched me to customer service who helped me close my account.
Did I lose weight? Yes, anyone would if you cut your diet down that much. Was it convenient? Yes, everything is packaged separately. Were they helpful? No, very rude. Was the food good tasting? Way too sugary tasting for me. And no I am not diabetic. Would I recommend? Only if you need help learning meal proportions. You can make fresher, better tasting meals at way less expense. It makes you realize meal proportions in the USA are way off! It's good for a jump start to help you lose the first 10 lbs but be aware they charge if you cancel after the 10 days.

This diet provides the discipline I need to lose weight. I must mention that you cannot be a fussy eater because some of the foods, the dinners in particular, are really not good tasting. I had the plan where I could choose the food I wanted. I picked 14 different dinner meals that sounded ok. Of these, 2 of the meals I considered, at least for diet food, "good". The breakfast, lunch, and snacks that I chose were good! I'm an old pro at this particular diet so I know what to order. The dinners need improvement! I've lost the majority of weight I've needed to lose so I will continue now on my own following the guidelines I've learned at Nutrisystem. 8 weeks of their food is all I can take! I hope if/when I need this again the price of the frozen food will be less money. It's becoming time to try something new but only if the price comes down. Hope this has been helpful.

When using their program be careful getting tripped up in the "Auto Delivery" scam. Let me make two points: They do not inform you of the renewal charge before it hits your account. Using Paypal they delay the payment for six months, so you don't discover the charge until it's too late. The CSR I talked with said if I would have seen this within 7 days, she would cancel it. It was discovered two months after they did this. Since they are so marketing oriented you think maybe an email would have been appropriate? My only hope is disputing this charge with Paypal and informing as many people as possible about their marketing issues.

I really enjoyed the food - there were some I just could not eat. I see a lot of people complain about not having sides to go with the meal. All they have to do is think outside the box. I have learned to pick the right veggies to go with the meals I ordered. I even used my mash potatoes with my meal and was able to still lose the weight.

I ordered Nutrisystem to help lose that extra weight that comes after the holidays. I have used JC in the past with success but decided to give Nutrisystem a try since they have freezer options now (not all pantry foods with so many preservatives). First of all, I did not ever receive all my items and I can't even tell what is missing. I just know I received a different quantity of each item (not 28 of each). I talked to customer service about my freezer items and missing items and they were very rude and abrupt, so I have no desire to call back.
All the "week free" items are pantry items, which my husband does not want me eating because of the preservatives. ANYONE who cares about their health ESPECIALLY those who have cancer risks/cancer history, such as myself will not want to put these items in their body. Most of the food is not edible and the package size is often 4 times the size of the food inside the package. Now I found out if I do not allow the second shipment I will get charged an additional $99 for a cancellation fee for food that is not fit for human consumption. I find myself eating the food because I do not want it to go to waste since it was so expensive, but I never finish it and I have to make myself a salad anyway to fill up. Such a bad experience.

First off just let me say that I had great success with Nutrisystem. I used the Uniquely Men's program for 2 months and lost 22 lbs. However my issues began once I wanted to cancel future orders. I began with a phone call to Nutrisystem, but after a long period of time on hold I opted to try and solve the issue through their online system. The only option available to me online was to delay the order. Which I did. The system confirmed the delay and I thought everything was great and that I would call again when I had more time to sit on hold. Long story short, Nutrisystem sent out the next order anyways on its previously scheduled date, despite the delay, charging me another $400 for another month of food.
Their customer service was unable to help me with this issue, despite having confirmation emails and detailed internet log history showing when the delay occurred. Their reply is basically to dispute it with my credit card company... which equates to, "We don't want to deal with this or with you." I am very disappointed in this response since I will now be wrapped up in a credit card charge dispute for God knows how long due to their mistake that they are unwilling to rectify. Again, the food tastes good, it works as along as you stick with it, just don't expect customer service to be able to solve any issues that may arise and be potentially prepared to fork out extra hundreds of dollars based on their mistakes.

I have not had anything but trouble. On 2/25 my credit card was billed for 284.99 for an order I was told would be for 242.30. I asked for a refund and was told it would be processed immediately. 3 weeks later, when the refund was not yet received I called and cancelled all future orders. On 3/25 my credit card was billed for 266.92. I called and was told the order would not be shipped and a credit would be applied. Because of my previous experience I called customer service and they said there was no record of my credit card being billed, even after I sent a copy of the credit card statement by fax. I have had to file a complaint with the state Attorney General to try to get my money back.

This started out very exciting from the first shipment, to the first phone call, but ended quickly. As second phone call looking for support was so scripted thought I was talking to machine. No interest or help or suggestions from counselor. Even with the expression of leaving, no encouragement to stay, find the problem, fix it. Not once did any one ask why I left or call to come back fixing the problem. NO SUPPORT FROM YOU. VERY DISAPPOINTING. REALIZE NOT MOVIE OR SPORTS STAR. WOW! So I read the reviews on this website and thought I wanted to make my own assumption. The customer service was disgusting. I said that me and my fiance would like to lose weight but the 700 dollars a month would be a little much. I told the man I was speaking with I had some allergies. He actually said "Sorry but we can't accommodate you" and stopped talking to me. Like "You won't be a customer so bye bye." My fiance might still have been able to do the program but clearly they didn't want my business.

Unfortunately, I will never do business with a company that makes it difficult to cancel an order. It was NOT made clear upon purchase online that auto delivery is a requirement for the discount. When going through the process to cancel, I was advised I would need to pay a $99 penalty for canceling due to my signing up for an auto-delivery plan. When the Nutrisystem agent walked me through an online mock order, the amount I paid was clearly shown, but the price was crossed out. Very "shady" and misleading. If my credit card is charged the $99.00 that the agent said yesterday would happen, I will dispute their business practice up to and including contacting the Better Business Bureau, my credit card company and attorney general. It would be very unfortunate if Nutrisystem does not make this right.

I have been with Nutrisystem for almost a year. I am quite satisfied with the program. I have discontinued my auto delivery because I will soon be transferred abroad and international shipment is not an option. This program will definitely work, if you stick to it. No gimmicks, no fads or miracle promises, just solid, common sense nutrition science. I do recommend it for anyone struggling to maintain an optimal balance between healthy eating and weight management. And it's not just weight loss, I noticed real improvements in other areas directly related to better nutrition, like healthier skin, hair, nails. The food was better than expected, but then my expectations were very low for pre-packaged diet food. More new menu options would be great. Eating the same stuff all the time gets boring.

I lost 10 lbs partially through Nutrisystem. I couldn't eat the food -- I found it to be really poor quality, and I cancelled it right away. I have found the shakes helpful and useful and now I am done. I cannot reach a live person to cancel, and will have to start the dispute process with my payment source. This terrible customer service ruins the reputation of the company. What a disappointment. I won't use Nutrisystem again if I need to lose weight in the future.

I started out liking this program very much, but I have special circumstances that made things difficult. First, I am a long haul trucker, so frozen meals aren't an option. This limited my selections considerably, plus much of the shelf stable food wasn't to my liking. I survived of a VERY limited menu for over a year. This made the program tough to stick to, as I was bored after the third month. I kept going back to it, though, with each "slip".
I took a two-month break, and re-signed to find that 8 meals had been taken from the month, but the cost had increased. Not cool. Customer service explained that members wanted to substitute their own meals and that this was an answer to customer requests. Nice try, but NO. Take that difference off of my bill, please. Sneaky, at best.
Finally, I have to plan to get home to pick up my delivery of food. As of today, it's been 8 days since shipped, and my food isn't here. It goes to a P.O. box, as I live on the truck. I gave up a great paying run in order to collect my shipment. Now I'll be going back out tonight without my food. 8 days?? Really? The post office can't stand holding that giant box, and in 30 days they will return it. Can't win here, folks, so I'm out. Probably for the best; I'm not sure I can eat another bite of that stuff! Total weight loss for over a year (with many, many slips) 25 lbs. Not good.

After 7-8 years being on and off this program, I have never had such horrible customer service. Nobody would listen to what I was trying to say and the one question that I asked turned into a fiasco and NS decided I could not be on the program any longer. I was done with the runaround and how they wanted me to jump through hoops to remain on the program so I canceled the program. I got mostly frozen food so of course I will be refunded pretty much nothing yet you are telling me it is dangerous to eat your food even though you have allowed me to eat the food without problem (and I have never had a problem eating it). So that is nearly $350 that I have to throw in the trash.

I have to say I was very pleased with Nutrisystem regarding the taste of food and weight loss. I used the program for about 6-8 months. I was looking forward to my annual blood work report this year due to my weight loss and healthy eating (what I thought was healthy eating). I was shocked to find out that I am now prediabetic. I have never had any issues with my lab work until now. I truly believe the bad report {A1c} is due to eating way too much processed food!!! Yes, I lost weight. But overall it was not healthy for me. When considering this diet, be sure to add in lots of healthy oils, green veggies, and fats. Please don't eat just the food sent to you. I am now staying away from processed foods and eating healthy trying to get my A1c numbers back down. Since doing this I have lost an additional 3 pounds as well.

I have been on the Nutrisystem diet for about 4 months and have lost 44 pounds to date. I find the diet easy to follow with a wide range of foods to choose from. The foods are tasty and the cost is reasonable. In addition, I have used the support staff to advise me on methods of preparing flex meals and meal substitutes. I also find the "Eating Out Guide" helpful in assisting me with my diet discipline when I eat out. The biggest thing that Nutrisystem has provided to me was a way to eat more veggies and fruits in order to achieve a balanced diet which I can maintain in the future. Thank you.

I needed to cancel my second shipment due to health issues and began cancelling on March 1st. The first reply I got was that they were delaying my order and I contacted them again to cancel. They shipped the order anyway and told me that the frozen portion was non-returnable non-refundable. The person on the phone was very rude and would not give me a satisfactory answer. I ended up having to dispute my charge with the credit card company. Very poor customer service.

I joined Nutrisystem last month and waited 10 days for my first shipment. The food is OK and the plan works OK if one eats the food they provide. However, getting that food delivered has proven to be tricky. When I joined, I was told that the food would be shipped out in a timely manner so that it would be received as the first month's food was depleted. Not the case! I ran out of food two days ago and am still awaiting the new delivery. I received an email on 3/17 informing me that my frozen food had been shipped but I was not able to access the FedEx tracking number they provided and had no idea when it would be delivered. So I called the company and was informed that it should be delivered on Tuesday (FedEx does not deliver for them on Sundays and Mondays), meaning that it would have been in transit for at least 6 days and would be defrosted and inedible by the time it reached me.
They agreed to send a new frozen food order, but it will take 8-10 days just to process the order and then another 2-5 days to ship, which means that I would be without the diet program's meals for over 2 weeks. They were unwilling to rush the order or give me money off the order. Also, the non-frozen "ready to go" order, which I never received an email about, apparently is sitting in a FedEx center in Pennsylvania (I live in Atlanta, GA) and will then be transferred to the United States Post Office for delivery (as it is considered a "small package" -- makes no sense) and they cannot tell me when I should receive that portion of the diet plan food.
Again, no apologies, no sense of responsibility or caring, nor any financial accommodations for messing up the diet program they provide. I do not understand how a company that advertises itself as selling a three meal a day, four week food plan can be so laissez-faire, irresponsible, and callous towards their customers. Needless to say, I canceled all future orders, but was charged full price for the order I still have not received.

Nutrisystem worked to resolve my issue by offering to accept unopened returned food and also waived my cancellation fee since I was only 2 days past my guarantee period. I was happy with the resolution. My only advice for better service would have been if the Nutrisystem customer service could have taken care of this without me having to file a complaint with ConsumerAffairs. But in the end, I am happy with the outcome.

The auto shipment is the only way that I saw that was available to purchase their plan. I only needed one month for a 10-15 lb weight loss. The food is awful and when I tried to cancel my auto shipments wasn't able to do it online. When I was able to find time to call in I was at 16 days and 14 is the magic cut off for their guarantee. They charged me a $99 cancellation fee which they said was on the website.

I have a whole month's worth of food, minus the breakfasts, that I never ate because the taste is awful. It is all still in the box it came in. I stuck with it for one month only and only lost 7 pounds. The first week I lost 2 pounds, not the 5 pounds like they advertise. That was discouraging, and I stuck to it 100%. I could have returned it then for a full refund, but decided to give it more of a chance. After 1 month I lost 7 pounds total. That was not what they advertise nor what I would have expected. I was committed for two months according to their contract, in order to get the normal price, which everybody ends up paying as the full price is just an advertising ploy. Nobody pays over 429.00 a month for this quality of food, which was not the frozen version but the room temperature plan. I did not want to have to pay 240.00 for another month's worth of food after only losing 8 pounds because I couldn't stomach it anymore.
The vegetarian lasagna was the worst I ever had. Their idea of vegetables is beans, as in ground navy beans. That is what it tasted like. I never saw zucchini, carrots, spinach, or any other vegetable in it. It was lousy, and so were the other vegetarian choices, which were only a few. I wasted over 500.00 on this. Should have gone with Jenny Craig, as I hear the food is much better.

I contacted them again today and my account is still not cancelled. This company is a scam!! All they want is your credit card information so that they can keep billing you. Do not sign up with them unless you want to be billed $249 for a product you don't want! Now I will have to protest charges with my credit card company!

When I called to ask about Nutrisystem this very pushy salesman was trying to sell me everything under the sun and so I hung up on him. He immediately called me back and said that Nutrisystem will give me back my money immediately if I am not happy with the product. When the product arrived I tried the breakfast bar and it was HORRIBLE! It was stale and had no taste at all. And the vanilla shake was horrible and gooey. I immediately called them and it took forever to speak with someone and I told them I hated this product. They said to send it back and it would only cost me $9.99 to ship it back. No one ever mentioned this to me.
NEXT FEDEX PICKED UP AND ACCORDING TO NUTRISYSTEM THEY RECEIVED IT ON 3-2-16. Today I spoke with the supervisor and now it is going to take 17 working days for me to receive my money back ON MY VISA!!! By the way I was on the phone waiting to speak to the supervisor for 40 minutes. I am still waiting to get my refund back from Nutrisystem. Remember when Marie Osmond was on "Dancing With the Stars?" That is where she lost all that weight, not from Nutrisystem. THIS COMPANY IS A FRAUD.

The pizza crust was half the size that showed on the box. I have enclosed my photos showing the pizza on a saucer not on a full-sized plate. The crust was hard as a rock and since often microwaves soften bread I thought I would still give it a try. Came out hard. Use knife with small serrations and it wouldn't cut so got a larger knife with serrations. Still couldn't cut. Tried to chew (I was in a hurry) and could hardly do that so I licked off the sauce which was tasty. I threw it away. It was also out of date. January 17, 2016. I didn't notice that. Bought in February at Walmart (the box with 20 items in). Don't have receipt.
UPDATED ON 03/25/2016: Besides the expired date on the pizza - The following items were expired. Kit was bought in early February at Walmart in Reidsville, NC 27320. So 8 of the products were past due. Cheese Puffs dated 13DEC15, Chocolate Cake DEC172015, Blueberry Muffin 12202015, Hearty Beef Stew Nov 27 2015, Carrot Cake 12262015, Honey Wheat Bagel 22DEC15 AND Banana Nut Muffin DEC222015. I tried emailing Nutrisystem at customerexperience@nutrisystem and the email came back.

I started my Nutrisystem diet in Sept. with a weight of 322 lbs. I enjoyed the diet, it had lots of good meals, a few not so good, but on the whole O.K. I had to stop in December because the rate of exchange of the Canadian dollar put the price out of my reach. But I had learned what to eat and how much, and I am now down to 274 lbs. and am eating well. If the dollar rate changes again, I might just come on back, but $410.00 is a bit much.

I've been on the Nutrisystem diet for 15 weeks. I've lost 16 pounds, most of it the first month; now I'm at about 1 pound per week. Most of the meals are fine. I'm never hungry and I don't even eat all the snacks they send me. I really need to eat the fresh vegetables recommended or I get constipated. All of the breakfasts and lunches have been good, but the dinners require hot sauce to eat. The frozen stuff is good, but many of the room temp dinners taste like the worst TV dinners you've ever had. Also, I strongly urge Nutrisystem to do away with the plastic cans with the aluminum peel-off lids. I have yet to have a hot one because the directions say to heat at 1/2 power. I've gone up to 75%, but the can pops too much. I actually had one flip over in the microwave. The top came off and I had one heck of a mess to clean up - and no lunch.
Inventory your order. I was shorted one snack on my first order. I didn't complain and don't know what Nutrisystem would do if I did, but it hasn't happened since and may have been a fluke. I was thoroughly disappointed when I started the program because there are few directions for how to get started. I really had to figure it out for myself. A small pamphlet with the first shipment with point-by-point directions would really help a lot.
Also, the NuMi app is horrible! At least five times a week, the app goes down and I have to save my meal info to enter later. And the scan app doesn't even recognize some of Nutrisystem's own food (the lunch hamburger must be entered separately). The app doesn't know whether you are eating breakfast, lunch or dinner, even though each package is clearly marked. All of the vegetables I enter must be reallocated to "vegetable" every time I enter. There are so many small problems with the NuMi app. It almost doesn't make it worth it. Surely, in 2016, Nutrisystem can employ someone other than the six-year-old they have to run the app. NuMi is the worse part of the diet program.
Does Nutrisystem help you lose weight? Yes. Does it help you learn portion control? Yes, if you pay attention. Do you go hungry or crave sweets? Not me. In fact, I think they have too many sweets and carbohydrates on the diet (I do crave protein, more than ever. But it's a small craving). Nutrisystem has some bugs to work out, especially with their NuMi app. But overall, it does work.

After several weeks on the diet I decided I didn't like it. I went to the site to cancel future orders but couldn't find a place to do that so I delayed the next order to the extent that it let me. That time is drawing near so I tried to delay or cancel online, and again I couldn't. I called and was told that since I took the discounted deal I would owe them $99 to cancel now. The 'fine print' said I was compelled to take two months of orders. So I can pay $99 for nothing, or over $300 for a month of food! Beware, beware, beware!!!

82-year-old mother on their diet spent $378 for a month worth of pizza, chili and shakes. She reordered item by item a second month and requesting no pizza or chili. Of course, she received pizzas, chili and loads of vinegar chip. She complained. No resolution. Just cancellation.

I have just started on their system which was suggested through my insurance company. They state that they are providing 28 days of meals, but in fact only provide 25 unless you are diabetic. The first month I was provided with 2 different shakes per day and will need to pay an additional $160 per month for the same service in month two. I feel as if I have just had the ultimate joke pulled on me... not to mention that they shorted the order also.

I placed my first order early to mid-January 2015. The "regular" package. In my opinion the food is just horrible and today, March 14th, I've got half of the order sitting in my kitchen, unused, with no one - not even myself - wanting it. I TRIED to get through it. I did! In I pushed the auto-delivery back 2 times TRYING to eat this stuff. Today I got a reminder that I have a delivery coming which will ship March 18th. I tried moving it back another month so I could finish the horrible food. They wouldn't allow me to do this again.
I tried to find out how I could cancel online. You can't. You have to call the 1-800 # which I did. I was advised that there was a $99 fee to cancel. This is just wrong, but to get out of this plan I told them "OK. Get me out!" I can't give the food away. The "basic" plan which I was on was pretty costly, especially if you consider the horrible food you are getting. But they say you can upgrade to a different (tastier maybe?) program, but this is very costly. They also say you can do a la carte, again costlier. Didn't work for me because I can't eat the food. Back to Weight Watchers I go. I should have probably gone there to begin with. It would have saved me $300 +/- for the food AND A $99.00 FEE FOR CANCELLING.

I bought the Turbo Ten from NS and didn't really like it. Delayed second shipment because I couldn't see how to cancel. Called to cancel only to find out since I got discounts, if I cancelled the second shipment I would owe them $99!! They said it was in the fine print. Seriously, who reads the Terms on anything? I was Blackmailed into paying another $300 plus dollars for food I didn't want in order to not throw away $99.

I had a very positive experience while on Nutrisystem. It helped me reach my goals and taught me a lot about portion control. I was really worried about feeling shaky, but the ingredients allowed me to remain full and I never became shaky.

I picked up a couple of boxes of Nutrisystem at Walmart. The Jumpstart package and the Home Cooking versions. I am totally amazed that I have dropped weight every single day except one since I have been on the program. In 8 days I have dropped 10 pounds and I find that astounding. Will stay on the program until I reach my weight goal.

I was skeptical. Over 55, menopausal > post menopause, low energy & aging faster than I wanted, would have described me very well. I'm one of those people that did not have a big weight issue until the change hit. In the past, if I got a little pudgy, I'd cut out desert after dinner or step up my sports participation. The last 5 years have been torture. My diet was the same as always, and I steadily gained. I still cook for an army, even though the kids are on their own, and I still ate as if I was 25, busy with kids, and athletic. My grandma's secret ingredient (bacon fat) was still in most of my favorite dishes.
I was promoted to a management position, which left me sitting in front of a computer for almost 10 hours per day. Although being a manager was nice, it was a curse as well. With Nutrisystem, I learned portion control and how to contain the cravings. I still splurge, but Ive learned how to reign in the bad eating habits. The NutriCrush and Turbo shakes are a pure delight and have been a life saver. Thirty pounds are gone in less than 3 months & my energy levels are improving. Sticking with this program works and is so easy!

Nutrisystem is a great program. Initially the prepared and preplanned meals make it so easy to follow. I found I was not hungry at any time. The program also teaches you how to combine foods properly. Eating every 2-2/12 hours really worked for me. In two months I have lost 14 pounds and feel so much better!

I'm shocked that Nutrisystem is still able to falsely display in their advertising what the food looks like. All I ever got was runny, liquefied food, hardly anything else. Only the treats were as represented. The lunches and dinners were not. No way, no how does the food you get in the dinners look like what they advertise in commercials or on their website and it smells awful after you've had it for a few days. I stayed on it anyway and did lose 20 pounds but eventually I just couldn't stomach the food and the awful smell any longer and quit. I should also mention the food had the exact same odor which I supposed was caused by some preservative. After I threw it away and out of my cupboard, it took a very long time for that odor to go away. Buyer beware.

I started Nutrisystem Diabetic plan in January, 2016. The plan certainly is working - I am down 16 pounds in less than 2 months - and I hope to continue until I reach my goal weight of a 35 pound loss. My only complaint is that it is extremely difficult to reach a live customer service rep at any time of the day/early evening. When you work full time and commute, you don't want to wait 2-3 HOURS to speak to a live person. This experience has really made being a Nutrisystem customer frustrating.

If you do the basic plan, they send you junk stuff. It's impossible to speak to anyone at customer service and very limited options in changing anything... including getting them to stop charging your credit card. Had the hearty "meat" stew and vomited. The source of the meat is questionable... GMO? FRIGHTENING, especially for women who may have cancer or another illness. At least the 20 pizzas they sent me will be used. Although it's just a 3-inch round piece of bread with 2 tbsp. of sauce and 2 tbsp. cheese. You have to add everything anyway. NOT worth the money. Hope to get out of their "contract" soon. Have to go through the BBB to do so. NIGHTMARE.

This will be the second year I ordered Nutrisystem. The first year I had no luck. This year, when I ordered the food, it was not what I had ordered. I did not want any frozen food. On top of that, some of the food seemed to have spoiled in the frozen box and it had made me sick a couple times. I really heard great things about Nutrisystem and thought I should give it another shot. The food is just sitting here. I have no use for it. It's a waste of money and I'm upset that now for the second year I have lost that amount of money for no reason. I know better now for next year.

I've used Nutrisystem before losing 30 lbs in 4 mos. That was many years ago. I came back because I knew it works and was thrilled they now have frozen and better quality food. I was very pleased with how quickly I began losing weight again.

I was disappointed with the meals for Nutrisystem. There were too many pasta meals. I do not really care for pasta, so nearly all the meals I purchased are taking space in my freezer. In addition, all the snacks are sweets and I do not like sweet. Would I recommend this to someone else? Not sure. It is all about someone's food preference and none of it was mine. It definitely was not worth the money!

I decided that I would not make any New Year's resolutions this year. I would just go on a diet on January 2, 2016. I wanted to try Nutrisystem and I saw sample boxes in Walmart so I bought one. With my mind made up to stick to it, I started Nutrisystem on Jan. 2nd. After 8 weeks of alternating the sample boxes (that contain 1 week of food) of food from Walmart, I have lost 32 pounds! It says you can lose up to 7 lbs. in 2 weeks and I lost a little more. The food tastes good and it works! I am getting ready to order food from their website now since I like the food and I know it works.
I want to lose 40 more lbs. and I KNOW that I CAN do it on Nutrisystem. It is very affordable to try out a week at a time. I recommend doing that. They also have started selling Muffins, NutriCrush Shakes, and snacks at Walmart. It's nice to get those extras. I LOVE the dark Chocolate and Sea Salt Nut Bar. It's all good and I highly recommend it! I'm ready to try their other foods so now to sign up on Nutrisystem.com!
