My husband and I both used gift cards, they have not been reauthorize and I was told today there was nothing anyone could do to help us. We have lost hundreds of dollars. I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told I will be waiting up to 48 hours.

I started out with a box from Walmart and started at 255 and lost 230. When I started Nutrisystem I lost at 230 on March 29 2017. Now may 4 2017 I'm at 220lb. I enjoy their food and snacks. My goal is to lose to 150 lb then maybe to 135lb. I've had a good experience with Nutrisystem and the app NUMI. They are good to reward you for your hard work. All around good experience.

The food was ok. They require you to purchase a lot of your own food to follow the plan. It really didn't work for me and when I cancelled my next order I was hit with a $125 CHARGE! Apparently it was in the small print if you didn't cancel within 14 days this would happen. So they don't really want you to try it before cancelling. I would not recommend this to anyone that just wants to try it.

Nutrisystem charges for 28 days and provides 24 days. They say that this builds character in the customer. Don't know why they don't cut to 10 days once they have our money. Then I could have even more character. Is there perhaps a class action out there that I could join?

Why not alphabetical listing of all topics in NuMi. I got another item yesterday that was new and not listed and I had to call for help to find out calories in order to log it. Sad when you release a product for consumption and YOUR customer cannot find it in any list. YOUR lack of professional attitude to make sure it was done right is appalling. You hide behind e-mail as the phone number given me was not yours. Why don't you answer my questions???
I pay for good customer service and you DO NOT provide it to me. Maybe you cannot correct your list to put in alphabetical order. Just say so then try to hire someone from Microsoft, Apple. Amazon, Netflix, etc. This is not a new problem with you, why not answer what is wrong. This is really act of nondisclosure to your customer. If it is impossible to do on your point please tell me and I will live with it. But tell instead of playing dumb. Your product is great. But your Numi systems needs work NOW.

Received my food frozen and dry Saturday 4-30-17. No packing slip or anything except a piece of paper about their shakes. So I called. They said they would send out the welcome packet. To this day of this complaint I have not received the welcome packet. The chocolate bars are full of sugar of which I should not have. So I kept calling and not one helped. So I called too and canceled it all. It is a joke. The food sucks.

I received both my dry and frozen portions of my order. However, the information on how to use the diet was missing (Women's Tracker, Grocery List, etc.) I had to call THREE separate times to get in contact with a HUMAN voice. I waited on hold twice over 20 minutes just to get a recording that stated someone would call back. I find the use of automatic voice via phone is both frustrating and unprofessional. Hire more help if necessary!

I contacted Nutrisystem, to tell them I wanted to opt out due to the fact that I had a molded bagel, and since I can not tell the quality of the rest of the food. I don't want to do business with them anymore. Since I am outside of the 14 day return I can only get a partial payment and I will still be charged an additional $100 for canceling.

The food was good, but I didn't lose much weight, and it was getting expensive for me to continue with the program. I have been under an extreme amount of stress, and that has been detrimental to my weight loss goals. I see no way out from the stress. Thanks to all those who kept encouraging me to keep trying. I haven't given up yet. I'm just changing tactics.

I order on Thur of last week and added the $14.99 for priority procession. The last time I order and used the priority. The shipment went out the next day. This time I ordered on a Thursday and the shipping didn't go out until the following Monday. I called and ask the $14.99 be credit back to my credit card because of the slow shipping and I was told they couldn't do that even though I explained that The Nutrisystem Counseling Team sent me to him with this email, "Thank you for your response. We would like to apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. If the $14.99 credit on your next auto delivery will not suffice please contact us at 1 800 585 5483 then choose option 1. A representative will be able to help you with getting the $14.99 credited back on your credit card."
The rep on the line refused to listen to anything I said so I canceled the order. But the first part of the order was sent out. So I have to pay for shipping back to your company, ($39.00) and he said Nutrisystem would deduct another $25 from my refund of $363 for the shipping also. I will never deal with your company again and I'm for sure tell all of my friends and co-workers about my experience with Nutrisystem as a whole.
Updated on 05/17/2017: I was contacted twice by the Consumers Dept. of Nutrisystem and was completely compensated for all my charges and shipping. It was very clear the team member handling this case went above and beyond her job to satisfy my wants and needs on this case.

I would give them zero stars if I could. I canceled my order days ahead of time before the next shipment. They shipped it anyway and are now refusing to refund my money even though it was their mistake. I will never do business with them ever again.

Phoned 5/1/17 to explain shipment never arrived. The one I was advised had delivered the previous Friday. Was told at the time they would expedite another order. Today I find out on 5/3/17 it has not shipped out yet and that I should get it in 4-10 days. Is this really how you treat an expedite? And I was lead to believe that I would get an expedited delivery. The 4-10 days is what I was told on the original order. Also every time I call in, I wait at least 10 minutes to talk to someone.

I would give this less than a one star if I could. Their food is like dog food or worse. It is impossible to cancel. I cancelled online and that they will not accept that. You have to talk to a Nutrisystem's adviser and if it is not enough days, which is what I did online. They said they will still charge me $175.00 to cancel. And yet I told them in April I did not want to renew. It is the biggest racket you could ever get twisted in. They argue with you too and are rude. It is a scheme if I ever saw one!!! Go to the grocery store, and create your own healthy diet that does not take like dog food. I am going to take them to small claims court.

Nutrisystem refunded all but 19.99 of the original 336.05 I paid after I returned the original order, with no cancellation fee. Their customer service is excellent, it's the food that was really disappointing. The ingredient labels show a shocking amount additives and preservatives. I didn't taste the food, so I can't comment on that aspect of their program, but when the ingredient label is "red flag" as to what's inside, I think Nutrisystem needs to investigate healthier alternatives to the food options they offer. I believe that even using "Nutri" in the marketing of this program is misleading, suggesting the foods they offer are nutritious. To me, building a weight loss program on over-engineered, dubious quality food is like building a skyscraper on a swamp.

Contacted Nutrisystem to cancel my order after receiving 1st shipment. I was told there was a $125 cancellation fee if I did not not receive a second order. This was not made clear on the website at the time of the order. I was shocked by the poor quality of the food as many of the prepared foods contained unnecessary chemical additives. The food provided by Nutrisystem does not promote healthy eating choices, but rather relies on overly-processed, low quality food that reinforces dietary choices that are unhealthy. The consumer is responsible for locally purchasing the only truly healthy foods that support the Nutrisystem program, fresh fruits and vegetables. Very disappointed with the whole experience. I was looking forward to food that was not over-engineered with genetically modified ingredients.

I ordered Nutrisystem, with great hopes of losing 15 pounds quickly. When my food came I gagged on the awful taste. It was the worst thing I ever put in my mouth! I tried several food items and finally had to throw it all away! I called to cancel since I saw they were going to ship me more food... I was told they were going to ship me more and charge me another $125.00. I told them to cancel I didn't want anymore of their garbage. I was told they'd charge me anyway. Don't fall for this scam. I tried to sell the food and nobody wanted it. What a waste of money.

I am absolutely horrified by how I'm being treated by Nutrisystem. I paid 300 for the food and within the first few days something I ate made me horribly ill. It was either the shells or the broccoli stuffed chicken. I was vomiting all night and considered going to the ER. It was scary and horrible. Now I just can't get myself to eat the rest of the food. THEN I get an email saying if I cancel I owe NUTRISYSTEM money?!??? How incredibly rude and slimy of Nutrisystem. I am completely astounded at the lack of empathy and customer service.

Last month we did our monthly order with Nutrisystem. When we order somehow we thought the order didn't go through so we went back through the ordering process again. Next week one large came. A week later another large box came. I managed to get through to them and explain that we didn't want (2) boxes of food and for another $200.00+ charges. They said they would send me a return shipping label for FedEx. They did. When it came through only half of the bar code showed and FIVE FedEx locations said they couldn't take it! To this day they have not contacted me about this return or sending me a new label. I get NO ONE on the phone calls just music for almost an hour! I have referred my neighbors and they have signed up and was told I would be getting a referral fee... Have not seen that either. It seems that they are just interested in sales and not the clients/customers!

First I must say the week of food I purchased at Walmart really sold me on this program. I then ordered the basic plan which I was told to obtain a discount I had to agree to 2 month supply. The box was delivered to the wrong address & I had to pay someone to bring to me since I could not lift it. I received the menu's guide & had to wait another 10 days to get the correction. When it finally arrived it was unclear so I spoke to someone who did not have knowledge of the program & have not lost any additional weight. Frustrated, I have tried to speak to a counselor & have been on hold a minimum of 15+ minutes. Tried different days & times. Is there a resolution to any & all of the above, I cannot believe other people aren't as unhappy as I. How can they sell bogus claims.

I was initially impressed with how quickly someone got back to me when I asked about an onion allergy menu. It did significantly reduce my choices and to select those custom items that won't make me sick costs me an additional $20/month but I figured since I only had 10 lbs to lose a month should do it... then I discovered the auto delivery in my account. This should be made a separate box you check. I would not have signed up for this since I should only need a month on the plan.
I also got my husband to sign up w/ the $30 incentive. I do not see that credit on the order for next month. We haven't even gotten our order yet and I'm already disappointed due to the shadiness. Ya, ya, I agreed to the terms and service. But a more ethical practice would to put the auto delivery as an option in a separate check box. I'm to blame for my husband's too since he has dyslexia and he could have no way spotted that. I guess if I lose my 10lbs and/or find the food gross I will donate to the food bank and take the tax write-off. Sounds like when I can cancel I have to do so by phone... awesome. Look up vocal cord dysfunction, what does it say about talking on the phone? Just great. :/

Not too happy with NS lately. Counselors are not like they used to. They are in hurry to get you off the phone ASAP. The last one was the worse. She answered few Q but then she did not want to. When I asked more question instead of answering me she said "I can't stay on the phone. I'll email you the page you read it." I've already got what she is sending me. I don't understand it that is why I called. She was also cutting me off a lot, rushing me, she was talking too fast in a hurry, she did not know what FAVA beans is! With every question I had without knowing what I was going to ask she acted as if she knows it but she had no idea and I had to explain my question again and that made us stay on the phone longer, which should matter.
The wait time for talking with counselors is also has changed from the past. I have been N/S customer for nearly 7 years. I see how N/S going from the best to worse. Makes me feel like I should leave the program. Some counselors are rude and have very little knowledge of what the program IS ABOUT. Another thing that get me confuse is that each counselor give a different answer for the same question and I get more confused and wonder why I cannot lose the weight even though I'm on it religiously. In the past I was told something totally different from what they tell me now. Example, I was told green beans are starchy but now they tell me, "It's ok. Eat all you want." Not sure what to believe any more. It keeps changing.
I have lost and got to my goal but I never learned how to do it without N/S. That is why I keep gaining the weight back when I'm on my own. Any time I asked them how to do it on my own, they would not teach me. They want me to stay with N/S forever. Eventually I have to get off the N/S and learn how to handle it by myself. I thought that was the whole things to teach us how to do it on your own. I guess not.

Don't understand why my previous orders for December 2016, January, February and March, 2017, were charged out at $261.98 each and this order was charged out at $336.98. A $75 difference! Please explain this difference in cost to me.

My experience, first time around for 2 months, was a definite positive one. My almost second experience was truly a non-caring one, not by your representative, but by guidelines set up for repeat customers. Prices quoted are all different. I ended going to QVC and will see what happens. If someone is on your program for months and wants to extend that why is the price not continued??? Quite frustrating and reinforces the business mentality instead of caring if customers can afford it for one more month. Thank you for your response to my letter.

I understood I was signing up for a ONE month trial. When I decided to cancel after the first month I learned that Nutrisystem's "fine print" says you cannot cancel until you have paid for two shipments (over $625) or pay a $125 penalty. So it's not a one month trial, it's a two month trial with a cost of OVER $625! Nutrisystem is being dishonest (or at best, tricky) in its presentation of the program. Who wants to work on weight loss with a company you cannot trust?

My issue with this company has been resolved amicably between both parties. I still feel there are a lot of things that could be done better and with better transparency as well as more options made available besides the ones they have right now as each person has a different issue for what they want and how they would like to handle their weight loss. However, I have to say they got in touch with me and listened to my issues and suggestions and as I said above the problem was taken care of.

When you buy something you should get what you pay for. You do not get this with these plans. You order a specific amount of product it should add up to what you receive. They tell me you get success containers with this plan, Just Lunches and Snacks, and I am not sure exactly what that is but if they are talking about the plastic serving size containers you can buy them every day at Bed Bath and Beyond for $5.99 when they are not on sale. Wondering if I got ripped off on the $300+ order I got originally now. As far as the counseling and help they say it is part of the dollar amount. For the price of these plans it shouldn't count towards the price of the product. You either get the product dollar amount you pay for or you don't. Any which way around it this is a bad way to do business. Definitely would not recommend this plan or the company in any way, shape or form. There are much better plans out there that give you what you pay for.

I am very concerned for I have received no satisfaction with my return. I have emailed customer service and I have written a letter to the Corporate office. Nothing. I returned food with a return authorization # ** to the attention of the return department. This was my instructions. You can't find it. It took me $99 to get out of the program and now no refund. Please email me with any info you need. I have sent many emails to customer service and all they tell me is they can't find the package. There is at least $125.00 worth of food returned. I would appreciate a response.

I called twice, the first time I spoke with Stephanie who was short, not helpful at all. I told her I was very confused about the plan and she raced through everything. I asked her to slow down and it did not happen. Finally in frustration, I hung up. I called back and spoke with Bernadette who was very nice, patient and waited until I understood to proceed with my directions. She was very sweet.

Nutrisystems responded in a timely manner. I was satisfied with their resolution. I have used the diet in the past, about 8 years ago and did lose weight and kept it off.

I called to sign up for Nutrisystem. I received the 30 days worth of food, frozen and shelf food. I am not a big gluten eater but thought what the heck, try it since it is so measured out on nutrients, fat, protein etc. I found most of the food is bread and pasta and requires a microwave. All of the things that I don't normally do. When I called to cancel... of course I am out of the 30 day guarantee and now have to pay $125 to cancel. When you call in the first time and order, they rattle off terms along with too much information, you don't realize it or maybe I never was told anyway about the $125 cancellation.
When I called in to defer the next order, since I felt it was too close to just receiving the order that took forever to receive, they never mentioned the window of opportunity for satisfaction and the cancellation fee. But then I waited forever on the phone so we all were rushed when I said, I want to defer because I haven't had time to try it out. I was transferred to a second person who then tried to transfer me a third time because of what I was asking about figuring it out. Should have gone to the third employee to figure out their scam of the cancellation fee. I am a healthy eater so processed food for all meals just doesn't work.
I am so disappointed in Nutrisystem and their forced business policies. When I looked online to see reviews thinking I should have researched more and maybe I would see this challenge, there are only good reviews. So my conclusion, Nutrisystem is big business with dedicated employees to monitor the Internet for any not almost perfect reviews. Calling in is a HUGE wait so of course there is not transparency. This is big business, not the kind of business for caring about people losing weight. I am SO DISAPPOINTED in you Nutrisystem... you big corporation with profits at the forefront of all you do. At least when people talk about it I can tell them the truth.

This was my first time speaking to a counselor regarding a missing food item. I got to speak to Dawn and she was so helpful. She asked me how I was doing with my weight. Dawn informed me how I could lose at least a pound a week if I increased certain vegetable items and gave me new snack ideas using what I have in my home. Dawn even emailed me a listing of ideas. I am very happy that Dawn was able to help me.

I strongly recommend not using Nutrisystem. I thought I bought a 28 day plan. Turns out if you cancel and don't buy the second month there is a $125 charge. I feel ripped off, as the details about this portion of it weren't on any web page, but are instead on a pop-up so that unless you catch them, you are stuck as I was. The company was totally inflexible when I called to cancel and charged me the $125 even though I called several days before my standard non-customized order was to ship. If I'm ever asked about Nutrisystem I'll be telling people to stay away.

I used Nutrisystem quite a few years ago. When my husband told me he wanted to lose weight I told him to try Nutrisystem. After a month he hadn't dropped a pound and discouraged so after discussing it he decided to drop the plan. I have talked to so many women and they are floored your company charged $125 if one drops the program. Thinking you are wrong and you owe us. And I will keep talking... Word of mouth is priceless.

I've been a customer in the past and had wonderful results, lost 23 lbs. Some of the items in this plan I e-mailed about substitution of them, I was canceled because of a peanut oil allergy. I received shots that was medicine in liquid peanut oil over 25 yrs ago and I itched. No problems since! I eat all foods regardless of being made in places that nuts have also been. I also eat nuts. It's too bad.

I found Nutrisystem products to be less than desirable. Small portions and not very tasty and I always felt hungry. When I cancelled additional order they charged my account an additional $125.00 even after the original amount I paid was over $425.00. So, the entire underachieving experience cost me almost $600.00 in less than a month. Customer service (save) representatives are aggressive and trained to keep customers.

When signing up for Nutrisystem I first started with the regular 28 day program (custom). I was excited to see that there was all kinds of meal variety (lots of egg options for breakfast). I then decided that 28 days would be too much, especially since I am busy on the weekends and opted for the Weekends My Way option which is 20 days. Well, when I went to choose my food I noticed that for this plan they greatly reduced the options for all meals! I am not certain if it was because I used a Groupon or because it's the type of plan but I think it's not appropriate. The choices should be the same regardless of how much you pay! With the exception of the Diabetic plan.

The good - The program works as it is based upon portion control and weight loss is inevitable. As long as you adjust your lifestyle and eating habits during the program there is no reason why you need to stay on this system unless you need the meals made for you in which case it's good to do. The bad - we were on the program for 2 months and decided to stop the program as we no longer needed it. The cancellation policy is terrible and not friendly for customers. The only option to cancel is to call and we were bounced from two different departments. The process literally took 2 hours.
The alternative is that Nutrisystem continues to auto pay every month from your account. In the year 2017 there is no reason why an organization should not allow the ability to cancel membership online as most other companies provide the option with a click of the box. Buyer beware with this and plan on spending extensive amounts of time trying to cancel your membership when you are done if you go with Nutrisystem.

There are plenty of online options to order Nutrisystem but no online manner to cancel. I sat on hold (to no end) because they are experiencing a high volume of calls. I do not want to commit to auto-shipments and don't appreciate the hassle you make consumers go thru just to stop spending $300 a month! I will never order any further products from your company.

My first order they charged me double even though they gave me a "discount" and when I called to solve the issue and get a refund they tell me, "Yes we will credit you," but I never received it. On top of that could not cancel because I would be charged a $180 fee so I had no choice but to stay on the ** program that I only lost 6 lbs on in 2 months. Now 2 months later when I call about the double charge there is "no record" of it on their side and they can't do anything about it. I'm on a tight budget and only did this program because it was fairly cheap had the coupon been applied or whatever mistake they made. Now I'm out $250, I'm so disappointed. This company really sucks all around!!

I just started Nutrisystem. My worry is there is a lot of sodium in the food, food is not very good and I did not know I had to order another month. I would never do that unless this worked for me and how can you know for sure unless you try it a full month. First there were no instructions in the refrigerated carton stating to place items in freezer. I put them in refrigerator and they were spoiled when I tried to eat. I cancelled shipment by email. Instructions said to call a number & press 1 then 5. Nothing happened when I pressed 5. I did not lose any weight.

My frozen part of my delivery. I was 10 feet from the door and the man did not knock or ring the bell and the way I found it was I was tracking it and seen it was del. at 2.38 and it was then 1.35 I brought it in and took plastic off and when I took the lid off it all fell on the floor. That idiot delivered it upside down and there was no arrow saying this side up or anything. I am very unhappy as it all was scattered across the floor and I had a mess.
My question is I am confused as to how to start this diet. I picked mon the 17th to start and I still have no idea what to do. Do I just pick what is in the package or do I have to go into the book for the pf, sc, and the rest or is it marked on each pkg? I need to know as tomorrow is my start date and I can't grab the book each meal and look up everything, please reply asap. Thank you.

I'm really disappointed in your product. All the no no's of proper nutrition. Trans fats for one. We all know they are bad. Sugar in everything I've had already. Why do you need sugar in Mac and Cheese? Then there is sodium. I have high blood pressure and have been checking labels for years. The size of servings seems large to me. Agreed, I'm an 80 year old woman and know a strapping young man would find them small. I have had a few days in my first week of eating out and admit to a few glasses of wine but I'm afraid all your food will make me gain weight instead of lose. I thought I needed the money incentive. If I pay for it I'd better do it right and not waste the money. At this point, I'd like to return the unused food but will stick with it. I just hope you will make your food healthier in the future. You should be changing bad habits, not encouraging them.

I started the program with Nutrisystem shipping all my meals every 28 days. My goal was to lose 40 lbs. I am happy to say in just a little over 2 months I have reached my goal. I love the Nutrisystem plan! It really works! I feel so much better about myself. The food is really good, you have a lot of different choices and the cost of the food is definitely acceptable. The plan is easy to follow and I would recommend this to anyone who is ready to lose weight.

If you are not good at preparing your own meals and on the go, this diet plan is perfect. A bit expensive and I prefer the frozen meals but if you follow according to plan and exercise you will lose a significant amount of weight. I have always enjoyed this plan and go back as required. Nutrisystem is great.

I ordered over the phone just one month, was very specific that I had never tried them and was skeptical. After first month I called to cancel, found out that if you cancel before two full deliveries they charge you 99.00. Which was never disclosed even after asking. Then it took talking to 5 very rude reps, to get order cancelled. I also had to return the package they sent (after I cancelled) to find out two weeks later that they tried to charge me again. So I got my bank involved and stop that payment but they still owe me 137.14. I have contacted our local news and going social media, to let people know that this is not a reputable company. To add insult to injury the food for dinners are gross.

Cancelling. This did not work for me at all. I lost 6-8 pounds in a month and a half. I worked out more and still didn't lose. This is my opinion. I signed up for this program with high hopes. Received my food and began to try it. The word 'food' is inappropriate here, but I slogged through countless awful meals thinking the next one might be better. Finally, I called to cancel further orders. Was told that I was free to cancel but because I had (inadvertently) signed up for an autoship, I would be charged $125. To NOT get any more food that I hate! I'm sure all of these rules are in the small print somewhere, but I sure never saw that. When I said I would not pay this fee, they threatened to bill me anyway and send it to collection. A good company does not have to strong-arm their customers. A good company stands behind its product. And believe me, I wanted to succeed with this! Did I lose weight? I probably lost one or two pounds, but that was literally from giving my nasty meals to the dog instead of eating them. Buyer beware!

I ordered Nutrisystem and completed a month and only lost 5 lbs. I canceled my auto ship but they shipped anyway and stated that they had no record of me canceling the shipment. They wouldn't do anything about it so I am stuck with paying for another month's supply. On top of that, they did not put dry ice in the 2nd order (they did in the first) and everything was melted. I called to complain and they still would not refund me. Instead, they stated that they would reship the frozen order again. My reason for canceling in the first place was the quality of the food, too many chemicals (processed), too much salt, gluten and high in carbs.

See photo below. I think it speaks for itself! Poor quality control. I contacted Nutrisystem about it and was told a $15 coupon would be applied to my next order. What makes them think I'm going to order again? Also I was told to not order the pizzas anymore if I'm not satisfied with them!! WOW!! I would have preferred hearing "we will fix the quality of the pizza to look like the picture on the box and send you a new pizza." Their response indicated to me that they have no intentions of changing their quality.

I was disappointed in the original selections Nutrisystem choose for me. A few of them were good. Most of them were not very tasty. I did not lose 13 lbs in 30 days. I lost 9. I really hoped this would be a good experience and I could recommend it to others. I would not recommend Nutrisystem. The website needs to be clearer that you have to order 2 months of food. If I had seen that I would never have started.

If I could give ZERO stars I would. Part of my dissatisfaction is my fault for not researching. I don't mind that packaging is really small, I get this is a portion control program. What does bother me is the claim the crap is "healthy." NO, it is not. Everything is loaded with sodium and sugar. Another problem, everything needs to be microwaved - I don't own a microwave and don't plan on ever owning one. I called to discontinue future deliveries and was informed that I was obligated to another month because I received my order at a "discount" - this program is NOT cheap even at the "discount" price. I told the representative that I do not cook w/ a microwave so this program is pretty inconvenient. Obviously I can figure out how to warm the meals; however, that does take some of the convenience away.
The representative told me that there were stove-top directions on all the meals packaging. NOT TRUE. I hadn't seen one meal at the time that had stove-top directions. BUT, there are a few that do have stove-top directions, but definitely NOT all. I emailed Nutrisystem my concerns because the phone call I made to Nutrisystem only made me upset. I never received a reply so they clearly do NOT care about customer satisfaction. I also felt manipulated into the obligated second month. They DO NOT make that clear when ordering. YES, I should have paid better attention. So some of the fault certainly is mine. But the program sucks and now I'm stuck with two months of really ** food (anyone that says the food is good, clearly has terrible taste). And I'm positive that Marie Osmond is NOT eating this dog food. Nutrisystem super sucks.

Very disappointed that I have to talk to an agent to cancel my account. Emailed customer service and was told to call instead. I have previously called to cancel an account for my mother-in-law that I had set-up and was paying for and didn't like the hassle of canceling. Too much pressure to continue or change to a maintenance plan.

I have to admit that I was not sure about getting involved with this Diet Plan. I took the risk and have been on the diet for 16 days and have actually lost 2 inches in the waist and 8 lbs. I workout on treadmill several days a week for 45 min. Eating well and really like the food that I got, matter fact I just ordered via a la carte, and my entire order will be shipped next week, it's another month supply. I would like to lose about 15 more but maybe only 10. The Shakes are great and by the end of a day I feel like my stomach is going to bust from eating all the meals I am required to do, 3 meals a day and snacks, etc. but next morning it's gone. Anyway so far I'm totally happy with this diet. It works, you eat the food and you lose the wt.

I find the practice of automatic reorders by Nutrisystem to be very unfair and is just there to assure more money is spent by the consumer. My wife ordered the 1st month supply not realizing that buried somewhere in the terms and conditions that automatic reorders would occur. When she found out that a reorder was about to be shipped (more than a weeks supply was yet to be used) she called Nutrisystem to tell them she did not want anymore. She received a cancellation confirmation but Nutrisystem delivered the order anyway. We immediately returned the unopened box.
When we called Nutrisystem to tell them what happened the representative told us we would have to pay them $200 to return the $417 order they had just charged us. This is grossly unfair business practice that should be stopped immediately. People should have to make a positive affirmation that they want automatic reorders... not have it buried in the terms and conditions somewhere. We are protesting the $416.96 charge to our credit card.
UPDATED ON 04/15/2017: I previously posted about Nutrisystem's unfair automatic re-order process. I received no call from them about anything but today I received a credit on our credit card for $269.99 regarding the $416.96 charged for the order that had been cancelled & acknowledged by them in an e-mail. Their food was returned and accepted back by them. But now they want a payment of $147 for the return. We think that is ridiculous under the circumstances but are willing to pay $50 to settle the issue.

Basically, I freaked out when I saw how much processed food, I would be eating in a month. Not good. I also expressed upfront, that I did not have a microwave. I was told I could use an oven for everything. Not true... How can I put a hamburger or a chicken sandwich in a saucepan? It's just not for me.

Nutrisystem has been nothing shy of a blessing from God for me. I have tried I think all of the others and the food is really good. I wish they would rethink their lunch menu only because I cannot eat spicy food and a lot of the lunch is spicy. I would like to see more like the dinners; turkey, chicken (other than the soup and homestyle which are excellent). The lunch bars for some reason are my favorite. I really love the broccoli stuffed chicken and would love to see something maybe with ham. I can have pancakes - unbelievable and chocolate muffins. I have found this easy to stick to because there are excellent snacks (I love the popcorn - I admit I'm addicted; not to mention their ice cream). The counselors are ready to help when you hit a plateau and want to give up - they are so encouraging. What can I say but Thank You Nutrisystem. I am well on my way to my goal weight and enjoying the journey!

The food was really good and fairly easy to follow. To stay on track I need to talk to a either a counselor or a sponsor to help me stay with the program. I tried three times to talk to someone and got no answer. Both me and my wife are going to be placing our order as soon as we get back. Hard to start a diet with your dad about to die. We live 400 miles away from him so we are on the road. Looking forward to start with your program. Will I be getting the shakes along with my daily meals?

The diet was delicious. Who would not want nice sweet bars for breakfast and snacks? But one thing the plan does not take into consideration is your age. At 76, the meals suggested were much too high in calories. Your metabolism slows with age, and although this diet may be good for younger women, it was completely unsuitable for a woman my age. When you sign up, you are asked for your age, so this was not a matter of not being aware of my nutritional requirements. It was a downright money grab. I paid almost CDN$500 (with the exchange rate), but I will be reimbursed only US$90 to ship back the remainder of the bars, snacks, and non-perishable food. This more than pays for what I used.
At US$90, Nutrisystem is still making money. What I am returning is not worth half that much. The frozen meals that Costco sells for less than $1 each taste better than the frozen meals supplied by Nutrisystem. 'Pizza' was a piece of cardboard on which you add sauce and cheese. The other meals were mushy pasta. I was taken in. It appears I was not the only one taken in.

Was a three-time customer. This time around service was terrible. Waited over 45 minutes on hold to find out why an order I had delayed got shipped and billed when it should not have. Got no straight answer but "we don't know." Lost out on $60 on savings by purchasing Costco gift cards on paying my balance like I normally do. And when I was promised a $30 credit I was told again now I can't use it on a la carte purchase like I was told. Absolutely terrible customer service! Should be ashamed!!

In all their advertisements say that you will lose 13 pounds in the first month, but it has been a month and half since I started the program and have religiously followed their guidelines and have only lost two pounds. I found the food unhealthy, though in small portions. I tried to cancel my second month after two weeks, but they said I'd have to pay $190, so I kept it. I have been charged over $700 for two months' supply which has so far been unhelpful.

Nutrition works for me because of the convenience of it all. I don't have to think about what to cook! The food is delicious and healthy! It makes you want to eat only healthy foods. I was introduced to new foods that I wouldn't normally eat or even think about eating. I love the program and if you follow it the right way, it works like it should. I've lost 45 pounds so far, I feel awesome and I'm back in clothes that couldn't fit before. I'm now careful about what I eat and read labels more. Try it out... It really works!!!

Beware. They sign you on to a lengthy automated reordering. I ordered one month of supplies but they tried to ship me a second one 2 weeks after the first shipment. When I told them that I did not order the second month they told me that they have a two month minimum and an early termination fee of $125.00. Beware: food is high in sodium sugar.

Hello Nutrisystem team. I am writing as I have never in my life been talked to by a customer service rep the way Chante from your customer service line spoke to me. I will take blame in the fact that I am super emotional and upset about how long it is taking to get my order that I placed. But the snotty attitude by this gal has me over the edge. Nutrisystem should be embarrassed to have people on your customer service line that don't know how to deal with people. As you should know, weight loss is a very sensitive subject. People are emotional when it comes to weight loss and when you make the decision to spend this kind of money and order something like this you should not leave so much time for buyer's remorse. I am sad that one person on the other side of the phone caused me to cancel my Nutrisystem order and has now cost you a customer.
Although I am just one missed opportunity for you, I will ensure social media is aware of the treatment I received. I hope you take this as feedback to better train your employees and help them understand how to be patient with people who may have a weight problem and are emotional. Being short and ** to customers is no way to be. Considering no one has bothered to call me I guess you don't care. But here is my feedback regardless.

I am an on-the-go person who does not like to cook or have lots of time to shop. I typically ate all my meals at fast food places or I ate frozen convenience foods heated at home. Egg muffins for breakfast, bagels or burgers for lunch, pasta or pizza for dinner, and chips as snacks were my favourite foods. That takeout fast food I was eating was full of addictive ingredients that never made me feel full. When I stepped on the scale and was the heaviest I have ever been, I was upset. My closet of beautiful clothes no longer fit. I had trouble walking up stairs and I was worried about my health. I did not have much energy to do anything. I knew it was time to change the way I eat.
I saw the Nutrisystem ad on TV with Marie Osmond and she looked great. Her success convinced me to try this diet. It was really exciting getting my first giant box of food! So many choices and it was fun to pick out my meals each day. The NuMi phone app to track my food/water intake, and weight loss progress is also very helpful. Nutrisystem has definitely helped me to kick my craving for fast food. On the Nutrisystem diet, I get to eat healthy versions of my favourite foods packed with protein and fiber. I have learned portion control. I have lost 23 lbs so far in 6 weeks, and have another 52 lbs to go. People are noticing changes, they say I look bright and energetic. I now feel like exercising, taking long walks with my dog.
I admit, the first week of not eating takeout fast food was hard. I was really tempted to cheat. But if you can promise yourself to stick with Nutrisystem + not eat that unhealthy fast food for 2 weeks, you will discover your cravings for it will disappear. In fact, you will be excited to step on the scale each day and see the pounds drop. When someone offers you some unhealthy fast food, you will say, "No thanks, I am not going down that road again!" You will be excited to shop for healthy fresh foods, fruits and vegetables. Nutrisystem will teach you portion control, to eat more protein, drink more water, and enjoy fruits and vegetables. I tried other diets and failed because I didn't like my diet food, I didn't have time to cook, and I was too tempted to buy high-calorie convenience foods.
Nutrisystem is working for me because it tastes good and is convenient. I don't have to do much shopping or cooking. I can avoid buying the convenient frozen foods at the supermarket by shopping at my local fruit and vegetable market. I enjoy the Nutrisystem foods so much, that I will continue to include some in my daily meal plans once I reach my ideal weight goal. I especially like the chocolate muffins for breakfast! I never thought I could eat chips when on a diet, I love the Nutrisystem BBQ and Creamy Ranch flavoured protein chips for a snack.

I wanted to try something different and was excited about the food choices I picked out. Upon receiving the food, the food was very stale, tasted horrible and loaded with tons of sodium. I tried to stick it out and see what the results would be, but I just couldn't take it anymore. Then they charged me 99.00 for canceling my order which I was not aware of. After 2 months I still have food leftover that I cannot eat that I paid a lot of money for.

All in all I don't mind the program. The food is ok but good enough that you can eat it for weight loss and not be miserable. Some things are very tasty, others not so much. But you can customize your menu. My main issue is the wait times on the phone. I have waited 20 mins and hung up more than once. Online chat is helpful but a few times I needed to speak to someone on the phone. Due to this, I am thinking of canceling. It is unfortunate, as a customer from Canada who is paying a premium of the program with the exchange rate, and for all other customers it is good business practice to not put customers on hold for so long. Happy with program but not with the long wait times to call.

During the first week of the program (Turbo Takeoff), the shakes and bars are to be eaten with regular Nutrisystem breakfast, lunch, and dinners. The shipment included only 3 weeks of food and 1 week of the presumed FREE shakes and bars. The shakes and bars are not a substitute for regular meals, yet, I was charged as if I had purchased a full 28 days (a Nutrisystem month). What am I supposed to eat on week 4?

Every time I had a question or concern I sent an email and with my luck a reply with the solution came back to me. It's honestly great to have a support group like this. I started Nutrisystem, after the last five years of gaining weight as a result of a broken leg. I kept putting on the weight, and I am not normally a big woman. My top weight was 206 and it was quite uncomfortable for me to get this big. Anyway, I kept seeing Marie Osmond. Beautiful face and her achievement that I finally decided to go ahead and try it out. The first week I lost 8.5 pounds, starting with the shakes and crush bars. I was amazed, so I said okay I am in this to win. I joined the gym, and I reached my one month mark, and have not deviated from the program because I wanted to give it and me a fair shot.
I weighed in yesterday and I am down 19 pounds in the first month. At this rate I hope to be ready for a bathing suit this summer. I have been very happy with the quick responses I have gotten from Nutrisystem's Counselors via email. I have sent 2 emails so far and the first email was returned the next day. The second email was returned within the hour. They answered all my questions and have offered suggestions and recommendations. I am very happy with the program and really like the food so far. I am on my 3rd week and just got my second month's order. I am losing weight and sometimes feel like I am cheating with all the yummy chocolate bar snacks LOL. Thank you again.

Food quality was good and for the most part tasty. However, the customer service was not. When I spoke to an associate, they generally were not very helpful or understanding. I know there are rules and agreements. But, they should be nicer in dealing with the questions and complaints.

I had a problem understanding the program, but the counselor helped me. I should have called earlier. Now I'm expanding my horizons. I did have a problem with some of the foods Nutrisystem chose for me, but the counselor also handled that. I knew Nutrisystem would worked; I just needed to make it work for me.

A la carte is not a la carte. Just more expensive. I signed up for the A la Carte option so I could choose what meals and snacks I was going to get but I end up getting 34 out of 50 items that I didn't choose that on the first portion of the a 1 month program.

Your shrink-wrapped startup packet didn't include the Turbo Takeoff information. So I didn't have the information I needed to properly use your plan until 3 days in when I found the Turbo Takeoff Booklet while flattening the box for recycling. The booklet was under the bottom box flap of the box that contained the dry foods. My mother who purchased a 4 week plan a couple of weeks before me didn't get a Takeoff book at all, so like her I assumed the Start Guide was exactly what it claimed to be.
The documentation as it was provided was slightly confusing, you really should consider renaming "Quick Start" to something like "Week Two" as the meals described in Quick Start are not the starting point for the plan. Since the Takeoff booklet seems to be packed separately, renaming it "Week Two" would alert the recipient that there were other plan materials in the box that weren't inside the shrink-wrapped packet.
On week 2 the recommended calorie intake of 1200 cal on NuMi app is ALWAYS WAY over 1200 (usually 350 to 400 calories over) when you log the vegetables, Powerfuels, and Smartcarb as shown in the "Quick Start Guide". Are the recommended calories week 2 and beyond supposed to be that much? It's discouraging to always show I'm over on calories when I am following exactly what it says to do in the "Quick Start Guide".
The startup materials should be online, either archived on Leaf or made available under "My Account". I really couldn't believe how poorly the materials were packed and the lack of proper online documentation. It is inconvenient for me because of my work to use chat or call. Based on the appearance of your website for the public I really thought the actual user account would be better. The diet plan is good once you figure out Quick Start isn't the start of the plan and find the loose, packed takeoff booklet if you are lucky enough to get one. I am happy with the weight I've lost so far, this review is only about the plan materials and lack thereof on the website.

I have been a customer for some time and EVER AGAIN. I succeeded in my weight loss goal and cancelled. I called three times and waited for more than 10 minutes and gave up. I tried to cancel with a series of emails and you did not cooperate. You now charged me AGAIN AND GOT AN APOLOGY THAT IT SHOULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED AND WAS TOLD I NEEDED TO CALL FOR A REFUND.**!!! Refund me and leave me alone. When I was ready I ordered. Now I'll never be ready to reach out to your company. Refund the charge you made in error!!!

To put my review in context: I'm a 32 year old male that is about 15-20 lbs. overweight. I've had trouble with self discipline, which has led to bad habits that contributed to my weight. I have a degree in biology, was a former personal trainer, infantryman in the US army and college athlete. That being said, Nutrisystem is glorified MRE's and gas station food. The portions are small, which in effect, puts you in a very low calorie diet, with little in terms of true nutritional value. If you are the kind of person who is significantly overweight and can stick to a plan religiously, it will certainly work due to calorie restriction. But if you're looking for a healthy discipline, look elsewhere. Also, if you don't read the fine print, beware. Customer service is not your friend if you want to cancel your food subscription after receiving a "promotional discount". Cancellation fees will apply.

If you are a single man who bought into the commercial saying this is the perfect plan for single men who don't like to cook, you were misled. You will have to visit the grocery store to buy "bulk up" products. I did not spend my money with the intent of having to visit the grocery store, plus you can buy Michelina's meal for $1.50 a piece and they are better tasting than this menu. Be aware also that if you want to cancel after you are dissatisfied these clowns will attempt to charge you another $125. The diet is not safe, with your first week being 1000 calories a day and remaining weeks "1,500" in quotes for a reason... There is nothing about this that isn't a rip off...

Beware. They sign you off to a lengthy automated reordering. I ordered one month of supplies but they tried to ship me a second one. When I told them that I did not order the second month they told me that they have a two month minimum and an early termination fee of $125.00.

Nutrisystem worked well for me. I lost 40 lbs in 6 months. For the short term, I found the food selections and options (shelf or frozen) to be satisfying and quite tasty. Of course, I didn't like everything! Although the cost is substantial over a period of time, I found it to be well worth the cost to not have to spend a great deal of time planning meals for just me. Grabbing a selection of lunch items and taking them to work with me was well worth the money! Good experience.

I lost 4 lbs right off the top but never lost more than one more in 4 weeks. I noticed the food is very high in sodium so I got counseling with that. The food is also very high in carbs and that is probably why it tastes so good. I am putting my diet on hold for 2 weeks and will start over again in a couple of weeks. Good things about the program is the NuMi computer program. I think that is the best thing about the whole program.

I first became involved with Nutrisystem in December 2016. I received my order. The next day when I went to get a frozen omelet out of the freezer I found out that everything in the freezer melted. My next order was in March. When I put my stats in the computer, I meant to put my weight at 324 pounds, but I typed 224 by mistake and entered it. I did not lose 100 pounds. I ordered Nutrisystem and signed up for autoship. I decided to cancel after the first shipment because the quality of the food is not great. In fact most of it is inedible. When I attempted to cancel I was informed of a $99 cancellation fee. There was no disclosure of a $99 cancellation fee in their terms and conditions. There was a single line at the end of their terms that says pricing of plan is based a two autoship deliveries. With no mention of a cancellation fee or what that fee may be. Customer service is rude, was not knowledgeable about where to find this in their terms and conditions. After 1 hour on the phone and another hour on a chat I didn't get any resolution and will have to pay $99 for non-rendered services.

I find your food very unappetizing, tasteless. I found there was too many carbs, more so than I could stomach. I found your way of eating very confusing. When I called to cancel my account which I created in line not speaking with a representative. I was told "Oh sure you can cancel but you will be charged $125.00." I was offered the choice to accept the next order and then cancel for free. No thank you, I was canceling not wanting any more of your food. Nothing online indicated this charge would be charged. I do hope I do not find a charge for this amount on my credit card. I am not happy as it is.

Unfortunately, I have to say that I am not happy with the service provided by NutriSystem. Initially it took a long time to place my first order. Then, it did not include the activity tracker. After that, I decided to use the chat option. While the individual was able to help me I had to start from the beginning because she said the link was incorrect – so she sent me the correct link via the chat option (that was helpful). After placing my order I requested to have delivery delayed 1 week as I was out of the country. I was told absolutely not (really, I thought - why not?). It was 10 seconds after order was placed. I eventually received the package after arriving home and of course it sat outside for some time (I won't get into that).
Then, I decided this program is not for me. When I went to cancel my subscription they (NutriSystem) charged me $125.00 to get out of the program (glad I got out now – probably goes up more every day to get out). Personally, I recommend staying away from this company as they are very inflexible and were unable to provide acceptable customer service to me.

They really messed up my recent order. It's been challenging this month, my family knows I've slipped up some and now they want to stop shipping the food. Lately, I'm not having enough discipline to ride my exercise bike, I don't know if they are stopping it or not. I have a lot of issues with the program, the website, and helpfulness of Nutrisystem. First issue is the food is terrible. With just a few exceptions it is not good. And it is not nutritious. Too much pasta, too many gooey poor tasting sauces, too much sugar, too much salt. The website is problematic. Printed items were missing from my first box. I went to the website to find them only to find there is no search function. I had to do a lot of grousing around but still could not find them. There were no sample menus so it took me a while to figure out how to put together a decent meal. Which brings up another issue. Nutrisystem gets its low calories per meal not by choosing low-calorie foods but by restricting portion sizes. This does not help me learn how to put together a low cal meal. I could go on but that is enough. One good thing was that it was easy to change the items in my auto-delivery box and delivery was timely.

While the food and program is effective the customer service is absolutely the worst experience. Specifically after you reach your goal trying to cancel the service is a nightmare. You cannot cancel via chat, when they tell you to send an email that doesn't work, if you call expect a hold time of greater than 30 mins. Having done all that expect an additional order and charges to show up. Then it's your responsibility to ship the canceled order back. Good program, terrible people.

I am beginning my second month of Nutrisystem, and while I have had success on the plan, processing and delivery of their products is less than acceptable. I called customer service this evening to inquire the status of my order and after waiting approximately 10 minutes, I was connected to an agent. After I explained the reason for my call, I was put on hold. After another 20 minutes (and yes, I timed it) I hung up. I later called again and was told my food would be delivered within 4-10 "business" days after the date of order processing. 10 businesses days could equate to 3 weeks! If your business is to sell a dietary product, why would you want your customer not to consume your product? Very disappointed. Not sure if I will continue after this month. Not worth the frustration.

I had about 10-15 lbs I wanted to lose & just couldn't do it so I decided to try you. I really wasn't that confident it would work but I still wanted to try. I ordered the basic & when it came I started the first Turbo week just as described. I stayed with it faithfully & even though I felt I wasn't losing weight, I didn't weigh myself until the 8th day. I was thrilled to see that I had lost 6 1/2 lbs!! I'm starting the next 3 week program with much more enthusiasm & just wanted to let you know how pleased I was with the results. On Friday March 10, 2017 I placed an order on the Nutrisystem website. When I clicked Submit My Order I received an error. I have uploaded the error message as I took a screen shot of the error. The next day I noticed my debit card was charged. I placed 6 calls to Nutrisystem customer support and they will not help me because they said they cannot find an order in the system tied to my account. I explained the issue and explained they charged my card $311.21 and the fact that the charge is not tied to my account IS THE ISSUE. They told me I have to cancel the charge with my bank. I called my bank. My bank will not remove the charge because it is not considered fraud since I know how the charge got there. They said I would have to cancel my debit card and get a new one and even then they may not be able to remove the charge.
All of my online bill payments come off of this card. It would be a nightmare going through all of that when the Nutrisystem website is at fault. I was told never to use a debit and always use a credit card and now I know why. I asked each representative to please forward my issue to their IT department or put me through to them so I could explain everything to help them track down my charge and create an order. 6 days later I have gotten nowhere. They have my money that I paid them for an order I will never receive. I am out over $300 and they would not budge to give refund the money. 2 of the representatives got very rude when I asked for a manager and said they are not going to help me any more than they did.
This was a surprise for my wife's birthday. Not only did I miss getting the gift here for her. I also cannot place an order because they have my money I saved up and will not refund my money. So in a nutshell, their website caused the issue during the transaction, my card was charged and the order never finalized. How is that my fault and why would they tell me that I have to handle the error with my bank? I work in IT and I know how easy it is to review the logs and find the issue especially when I know the exact time and date for the to research it. Here I am trying to give them my business and they will do absolutely nothing to help me. All they wanted to do was get off of the phone.
As I type this, I waited on hold for over 41 minutes waiting for a customer service representative to pick up. The hold music stopped and I could hear someone rustling papers and then they hung up on me. I noticed if I click the new order option when calling they pick right up but won't help me. I just tried the cancel order option now and this was my experience. This is call number 7. I tried yesterday and their office was closed due to a snow storm.
This is very sad that a company would treat a new customer this way. I guess I am just a small fish in a big pond to them and my business does not matter. As it looks now, I will never get my order, my money returned to me or my wife's birthday present. The only thing I have is my online bank statement showing the charge and no order to tie it to. I don't even know what to do at this point. $311 may not be a lot of money but it sure is to me. It's not right. I did nothing wrong and this is the service I received.

I started Nutrisystem in late February, the 20th to be exact. To this day, March 15th, I have lost 7 lbs... I was ok with this. Last week I called on the last day of orders to change my order for this coming month... I called today, and have been told, that my order was cancelled and a new one was not placed. I am SO MAD right now. How can a company who is supposed to have a counselling centre NOT follow up on why an order wasn't placed? I can't sit here now, I am in Canada, and wait 10 days for food... This diet may work for people who may get service delivered quicker, but I DO NOT recommend this to any serious people who really want the help to lose weight. I am waiting to hear back from counselling to see what it is I have to do to cancel this disaster I signed up for. What a waste of time.

I started out in early January with a weight of 216 pounds and a desire to lose at least 25 pounds after two months. This was a very aggressive goal, but I was determined. This a legitimate chance to succeed. Month plan the first week of March and I weighed 190 pounds, so I met my goal and more. I loved the food on this diet and only found the first week very difficult. The food was delicious and plentiful during weeks two to eight. I would recommend this diet to anyone interested in quick weight loss. The hard work however begins now, when I am on my own, but I have two other very supportive people in our household to remind me when I desire something that I shouldn't have.

I had tried and tried to manage my auto delivery a la carte order and I was not able to customize my order. After several failed attempts and emails to customer service, it was still not possible for me to customize my order so I called your customer service. The customer service representative on the phone was so professional and although she was not able to customize my order either, she was very kind. When I asked her to cancel my order so that I could start over when I was ready she did so without hassle. It was a very positive experience. I just hope the website gets fixed so that the a la carte can be customized from month to month. Thank you!

Thank you, Nutrisystem for your reply. I understand the your reps are just following company protocols, but what made me angry was the 'too bad, so sad' attitude , as well as the rep hanging up on me. I did use the word '****' when i discovered i was going to be charged $125 when i canceled. The word was an exclamation and not directed at the rep, who then tried to tell me what words I was allowed to use. Needless to say that pissed me off even more, and he hung up before i was allowed to respond to his demand and that left me fuming.
Anyway, it is unfortunate that i had to go through consumer affairs to get some satisfaction, and I'm sure you lost at least one customer and maybe more out of the 15 people who read my review and found it helpful.
What was also unfortunate was that I actually liked the food, and wanted to continue. So I give you that back, Nutrisystem. I am just watching my calorie intake and exercising and might start on the program again in the near future. I really wanted that tracker, so if I see that come up again I will probably give you another try.

I had been contemplating NS for some time and finally decided to do it. The promotion was for $25 off a month and a fitness tracker. After completing the online form I noticed that I never saw a place to put the code for the $25 off. I immediately (not even more than 2 min) called and was told there was nothing they could do and that I would get $25 off my NEXT order. I was mad but I let it go. When my order arrived the 'fitness tracker' was nowhere to be seen. I called them and again was given the "too bad so sad we'll give you money off your NEXT purchase."
There was a time limit to place the order and I placed my order before it ended. This is a typical thing I have seen with big companies who think they can screw people and get away with it. I will be going to their competition next time (South Beach Diet). This was your classic bait and switch. Nutrisystem is dishonest and I do not recommend them.
I may be just 1 little guy, but I know that enough people will read my review and go elsewhere. And cost them a lot more than the $100 or so they took me for. I don't see how they think that I will do business with a company that has been dishonest with me. They must be from the school of trump ripoffs. Don't be a sucker and patronize Nutrisystem. I'm a very loyal customer when a company is fair with me. CYA, Nutrisystem. Yelp, here I come!

My experience with the program was great until I went to cancel. No mention on the website. No easy way to get out of the program. There is nothing I despise more than a business that tries to lock me in by making it difficult to quit. You might have had an advocate for your program but now I will spend all of my energy telling people to stay away. I will never buy from you again. I lodged a complaint with the BBB and will rate you on every social site I can find with poor ratings. I will also use my skills as someone with 30 years of advertising and marketing to get this message out.

I went on the system 9 years ago and found it very helpful. This time I found it more confusing, instructions not as clear. My biggest issue was with the amount of sugar in the products. I am not diabetic, but do watch my sugar intake. I did not choose the diabetic plan, but was still surprised at the high level of sugar, esp. in the breakfast food.

I had requested a delay in my order. I received an email stating that my request was received. I received the order anyway. My live chat, while pleasant resolved nothing. I was even told that there was a record of my request for delay. I was told to call another number. I don't have time for all of this. My account was charged. I did not have room for my frozen items so had to give this food away so it wouldn't spoil. I love your program and love your food. It's so convenient for my very busy week. This error was expensive and disappointing. Thanks.

The food was fantastic and the service was good. However, after being on the plan for 1 1/2 months I only lost 7 pounds. This was following the plan 100% and exercising daily. At around $700 spent I expected better results.

Nutrisystem verbally guarantees their product. If you cancel in the first 14 days - no problem. I did and they charged me an additional $99 for cancelling. Their terms and conditions require 14 days or less - but they DO NOT HONOR IT FOR AUTOMATIC DELIVERY!! Customer service - rude, rude, rude or maybe it was just too early in the morning.

ONCE THEY HAVE YOUR MONEY THEY BAIL!!!! Nutrisystem was ordered on the phone. The person taking the order was helpful and ready to take the order, but never explained auto-delivery or penalties - just kept pushing "Money Back Guarantee". So OK, I can sift through the very fine print. After problem, called and asked to talk to supervisor. None available and no return call as promised. Company reliability and customer service almost at its worst.
Twelve days after the product came, I called to cancel, customer service rep pushed back with an arrogant reply, "Oh, so because YOU don't like it - your husband is cancelling, too"! Taking a personal offense that my husband chose not to do the program because we did not see the results expected therefore the product was not for us. What shows up on my charge 4 weeks later!? Nutrisystem charged me $99 each for my husband and me for cancelling. Even though I cancelled before 14 days and even though they emphasize loudly a "Money Back Guarantee". They chose not to honor even the first portion of the guarantee. I did my part and cancelled before 14 days!!!
I have added a quote from their site of Terms and Conditions: "You may cancel your auto-delivery program at any time before 6:00 p.m. ET the day before your order is scheduled to be processed by calling 1-877-338-8446. If you cancel after the first 14 days and prior to paying for your second shipment, your payment method will credit Nutrisystem $125 [for us it was $99. each???] for the auto-delivery discount received on your first shipment."

Normally I need to start on a Monday or a day I have planned. I received my order last week but had a very hectic weekend with ailing parents. So I planned on this past Monday. The day was very busy so I pushed starting off till Tuesday... Well that was a busy day too, so I thought this coming Monday will do. For some reason I woke up Wednesday inspired and began. The portions are small but it's an easy plan. I lost 4 pounds in two days! Not a bad start. I have 46 more pounds to lose but this start is motivating.

March 8, 2017 - I am so disgusted with your Nutrisystem Customer Service! I received the turbo charge food order and many of the foods that I wanted was not on the list. I tried some of the food I received with the Turbo Charge and it didn't agree with me. I called Nutrisystem to cancel future food orders and receive a full refund. The customer service rep. was extremely rude. She was upset that I was returning the food, and her tone was nasty. She proceeded to tell me that I would receive a pre-printed return label for $19.99 in my email within an hour. I waited for the label. However I never received it. I called back and told another rep. that I never received the label. That Rep. told me that I would get it in regular delivery mail. She also was extremely rude and asked why I was returning the food!!
Your customer service Dept. needs to address the needs of its customers with care and learn how to speak to customers using manners!!! I am very upset with the service I received. I hope this will reach Bill MacBride your senior Vice President so he can look further into the disconnect with his customer service dept. They definitely need training in public relations. The service I received is unacceptable gives Nutrisystem a poor rating.

After my physician asked that I not use this product, I requested that I discontinue the program. I appreciate the fact that I was not confronted and that an upsell was not initiated. As well, I was advised that I could return my recent shipment for a partial credit. All of the communications I received from customer service were helpful and professional. Kudos.

The plan did not work for me. Lost weight the first week, but sticking closely to the rules, I didn't lose anything for the next week and a half. Also my head could not grasp how this type of carb laden meals could aid weight loss. Didn't want to ask for the money back but did want to cancel my next shipment which was due to be processed in another four days. When I called, the Nutrisystem rep. was apparently having a bad day (rather curt/rude). The rep cancelled my order, but charged me $150. When I objected, he basically told me that it was too late to change my mind and ended the call. I immediately checked my credit card and indeed the charge was already posted. Buyer beware!!!

I have to say, I've been on the program for 3 weeks and really like it! I'm down 8 pounds. (Although my online Numi says I've been on the program for nearly a month, I haven't.) The food (I'm surprised) is good; and easy. My only frustration has been trying to 'ask questions'. I've tried the online chat several times and waiting 20+ minutes is AVERAGE. Once I have my counselor, I don't get the impression that they really know the answers to my questions, that they are 'winging' it. I wish there were more written materials - I would enjoy that.

I have lost weight the first month. I was on basic diabetes diet. Then I switched to uniquely yours diabetic diet. I gained weight that month. I had to eat extra food due to low blood sugars. I'm at a loss at what to do. I don't want to have to eat extra to keep my blood sugar up, and I'm gaining weight. Looks like I need to stop more insulin. I see my doctor in 2 weeks. I'll talk to my doctor then about all of this.

It seems very hard to speak to somebody at Nutrisystem. I called to ask about my order and both days was told 4 to 10 days for the order. Two days later the same 4 to 10 days. No explanation of the program or how it works. I wanted to know what Nutrisystem was about and how it works, so I will go with another program that is willing to explain things to me. I am very pleased with Nutrisystem. After reading some negative reviews I was hesitant to spend the hefty amount of money this costs, but I took a chance and am in week 2 of my experience, and 3.5 pounds down! Although the phone service isn't great, I tried calling on several different occasions and was on hold for over 5 minutes each call. I instead emailed the Nutrisystem council support and got quick and helpful replies. Each time I had a problem or question I sent a quick email and got a response within 36 hours. Each person who emailed back was so very helpful and kind. I think the food is worth the money. It is very tasty. It does take some getting used to the portion sizes but I've been adding in a bunch of vegetables to satisfy my hunger. I would recommend this system to anyone looking to lose some unwanted weight!

My husband and I each placed orders the same day for Nutrisystem. The initial part of each order (shakes, non frozen foods) each arrived together on March 2nd (or during the night of March 3rd). I then received notice that my frozen food selections had been shipped. That came today. My husband received no notice regarding his frozen food items, yet a log in to the Nutrisystem website indicates both orders have been shipped, are complete, and have been billed.
I attempted to chat with a Nutrisystem Customer Service representative who claimed my frozen items are being processed (I received mine, my husband did not). He had nothing more to say except to recite the company line and "apologize for the inconvenience." Now in 3 weeks Nutrisystem will auto ship and bill us for the second month when we haven't even received the first months' order yet. Very unsatisfied with Nutrisystem. Would not recommend it. Will be disputing my husband's charge if his frozen food items are not shipped by Tuesday, March 7th.

Another possible problem could be that FedEx doesn't ring the doorbell when dropping off the goods. On warm days that could be a contributing factor, especially in the South.

I call customer service and receive a call back a few minutes later where I am now informed that because I didn't receive at least 2 auto ship orders I am now going to be charged 125 dollars to cancel my order. Which is total BS. Then the lady tells me it's going to be three days before I can access my money for the cancelled order. I didn't have the extra cash to pay for the plan and now they are to charge me the extra 125 dollars, Never will I or anyone else I know order Nutrisystem.

I contacted customer service 4 times by chat and by phone because I was sent a Maintenance log book with my order instead of Dinners Off. I was promised by all 4 people that I would be sent the right book. The first 3 never sent anything. I finally got one in the mail, and it is WEEKENDS Off, not DINNERS Off. I have since been in contact 3 more times and still have not received the correct booklet. Every time I contact you again, I am told that nothing was ever ordered by the last person I spoke to. How can I have talked to or chatted with 6-7 people and nothing ever be sent out? Two even said it would be expedited??? I have a new order in process and have no confidence that I will be sent the correct information with my items.

I had to cancel the program due to my personal finances, I was told I would be charged $99 since I didn't stay in the program long enough. I was unaware of this, I'm certain it was in the fine print! I had planned to resume the program when I was able, but now I won't & I will certainly tell everyone who knows I've used Nutrisystem, of my unpleasant event with your company.

Overall the diet entries are rich in carbohydrates, albeit those slow to being absorbed. I tried the diet for two months and found all my old high-sugar diet difficulties came back including bloating, joint pain, hypoglycemic sugar lows, etc.

So they claim that the shakes and bars are free for the first week of Turbo Takeoff. But yet I was charged $300 for only 3 weeks of food. If it's free shouldn't I still get 4 weeks for the same price. When I went to place my order it asked me to choose 24 lunches and dinners and 28 breakfast and snack items. So I thought it was a good deal. I actually only got 21 breakfast and snacks and 17 lunch and dinners. Why did they ask me to choose a certain number if I'm not going to actually get them. Ripoff! And food is expensive for the quality you get and the fact that you still have to purchase a lot of food on your own.

Your program is good, but reordering food is horrible. You don't get what you order and they send you exact same thing you start out with same thing when you start the program. You need to fix the website to make it easier to see if your food order went through. Because it looks like when making choices it looks like it went through but when you get the food you don't get what you order.

Sugar, sodium and carbs. Tell me how you lose weight when all the foods in the Nutrisystem diet are high in these items. I recently tried the Nutrisystem diet and was not only extremely disappointed, but I gained weight!!! And, the food is awful. The bars are like eating sand, the muffins are rubbery, and the rest of the food is so unappetizing it was hard to eat. After two weeks I just couldn't eat any of the food. It was so terrible. The only things that were palatable were the shakes. Don't waste your money on this. The best diet to go on is Weight Watchers because you aren't changing the way you eat. You are just eating less.

So far everything I have eaten has been delicious and with salads and vegetable, I have been very satisfied. There's a lot of food to consume! WOW... I get gas after eating the Nutrisystem foods and it is embarrassing when it can't be controlled. I contacted the counselor and was advised that it happens due to the body getting used to the program. The counselor was very helpful but if the problem continues, I will have to discontinue the program.

When I called to place my first order (I had difficulty online), I told them I had stomach problems and had to be careful with spices and acidic food (i.e. tomatoes). I was told there were many options for me and the foods were not spicy or intolerable. There really weren't, and I've been very sick to my stomach since starting the program. I tried to alter the menu, but the damage was done, and I've been nauseous and in pain. It just didn't work for me.

I would love to get a menu with each order that says, "Here is what you eat for each meal each day for the 28 day". I cannot eat seeds or nuts because I have diverticulosis. A few of the dinners I ordered were substituted by something similar (Asian style) which had seeds. I was told they would send me a replacement and did not give me a hard time at all. I did not ask for replacement, but they automatically offered it. I ended up trading with my mom, since she is also on Nutrisystem and cancelled the replacement that was offered. Thanks!

I have filed a complaint with the BBB about false advertisement and fraud (charging my cc $99 when I don't want your food anymore). My next step is to contact the Attorney General. I have great credit and will have my cc contact you on this because this is fraud. I lost 3 pounds, did not get a FULL month's supply of food, and did not know anything of auto ship. I have paid the first month - I don't want your food so I should not have to pay $99 for canceling. This is one of several emails I have sent to you.

Nutrisystem is by far the best diet plan that I have ever been on. I am on my 9th day and have already lost 4 lbs. I am feeling better in my clothes and looking forward to more weight loss. I have to say the first 4 days were the toughest but after that I have not felt deprived of food. The cravings for salty and sweet is gone and the Nutrisystem food is very tasty. I love the fact that I don't have to plan and prepare meals which gives me more time to do the things I love to do. The counselors have been there for me with answers to any questions that I have and keeps me motivated.

I decided to try the Nutrisystem weight loss system and spent much time picking out the foods that I thought I would like. I placed my order and when it arrived, I discovered that half of the foods I had ordered had been replaced with other foods. I immediately contacted Nutrisystem who informed me that when one food is out of stock they substitute with another of similar nutritional value. I inquired how I should proceed to return the order and cancel my subscription plan. This was actually quite easy. I returned the food the same day it was delivered and it was received and signed for by Nutrisystem on Feb 2, 2017. I called once it had been received and was told that my refund should be received in 5-7 business days.
On day 7 I called back as I had not been credit for my refund and was told that it really is a 7-14 day refund process time. Well today we are at day 15 and I still don't have a refund. I placed my 3rd call only to be told that my account shows a credit but she was not sure why my credit has not been received by my credit card company. She advised I should check back in 5-7 days. I'm sorry but I have met all of my obligation and you have taken my money along with the returned product and still have not met the refund guidelines that YOU established. What a pathetic customer service experience. 24 more hours and I am going to dispute the charge and start that whole unnecessary process as Nutrisystem doesn't deliver on their promise. STAY AWAY FROM NUTRISYSTEM... they have no concept of customer service.

I've spent all this money on weight loss food that I can't even eat. It's so spicy it makes me sick. I have GERD which makes it impossible for me to eat. The only thing that doesn't bother me is the shakes and breakfast items. Also the spicy foods cause my heart to race. I ordered it from QVC.

The nutritionist was very informative and extremely helpful in selecting the right meals for my plan which will be consist of low sodium and low fiber products. I explain to him that I am on several types of medication including high blood pressure meds. I give him a 5 rating.

I am a very happy customer. You see my ALC is 5.2. Yes. I am considered Diabetic, was 30 pounds heavier, now I am 20 pounds lighter. Also my cholesterol numbers are lower. I have only been on the program since July 2016. I do not walk every day and still lost a full size down. I tell everyone big smiles from this lady.

The program is not based on the typical 30-31 day month but rather on a February 28 day cycle which leaves you short 6-7 entrees a month. So are we to assume we are choosing 2 flex lunch/2 flex dinners a week? That would account for the less number of meals. Look forward to your response.

I have received dry foods and awaiting frozen. There were no instructions, no booklet included. Phone line waits are way too long as well as the chat lines. I've tried chatting online 3 times with no success to resolve my question. Last night Tina ** did say that she would email me the information. The only email received was a copy of my order confirmation. I do not see any tracker information, no booklet, nothing with instructions.

I ordered the Nutrisystem 13 product in December 2016 (order# **) and was charged the $416.97 fee on my AMEX credit card. I received the shipment and attempted to use the program. I decided that this program was not for me. On January 17, 2017, I received an e-mail notice that another shipment was scheduled. I immediately called Nutrisystem and cancelled the order (cancellation confirmation #**). I was told that I had signed up for the "Auto-Delivery" program (which was absolutely not true) and was told that I was being charged a $99.00 cancellation fee. I notified AMEX to dispute the cancellation charge. Additionally, if this charge goes to collection and affects my credit, I promise that I will take the experience to the media.

Horrendous taste. Am in my 50s and decided to make a lifestyle change. I am on a supplement that really helps me with my appetite. Husband likes to cook but doesn't like to do dishes and neither do I. Saw the ad on television several times and the portions looked like something that was just what I was looking for. Purchased the $50+ package at Walmart. Well, let me tell you what. THE FOOD WAS TERRIBLE!!! I first tried the O's cereal and it tasted like cardboard. How in the world did you get it to taste so bad? Then I tried the chicken and noodle lunch and it was just as bad or worse. SOOO disappointed!! I just wonder how people can get on television and lie like they do about this product!! Shame on you Nutrisystem for selling a product that is edible. :-(

I thought I had signed up for a single month; I only have a few pounds to lose (less than 10), so I didn't need an extended program. I was shocked to discover that I somehow had reoccurring shipments. When I cancelled, they charged a $99 fee for the cancellation! Really don't care if it works or not at this stage; this is an unethical company. Read the fine print. Be careful what you check off when ordering. Do NOT trust them!

I have had wonderful experiences with both Mike and Graham on the telephone. They were helpful, encouraging, and very accommodating. 2 suggestions: Mark on the outside of the Turbo Pack box to keep it separate from the rest of the food; we mixed it not knowing, and the Turbo Tracker doesn't list the food. Also, I didn't see anywhere that I was to call back at the end of the first week. If it is in the literature, please make it more visible. I found that out because I happened to call with a question about where I was able to take the Turbo shakes in weeks 2-4... that wasn't indicated on the trackers or in the literature.

I follow this program exactly and I gained weight! Food came broken and crumbled that company would not take back. They are very responsive but pass you back-and-forth between counseling and customer service and your problems never get resolved. Customer service representatives don't really care about your needs are goals. Don't waste your money or time and go take a nice walk instead!

I was on the Lean13 diet and decided it was not giving me the results that I thought I should be getting. Instead of returning the unused food I opted to just not order my second month's items and cancel my account. When I called to cancel my account, I was told that I was going to be charged $99.00 for not ordering my second month's allotment of food. Can you believe this, I was charged $99.00 for nothing? Representative was not very helpful and all she wanted to do was sell me more stuff. My advice is to read the fine print so you are not ripped off.

Other than the first week Turbo week with shakes I was never given any eating directions. I was never told how many snacks to have or fruits or vegetables outside of that first week. I was also never given a counselor. My order was happily taken online with apparently the small cancellation print online. However my cancellation order had to have been taken over the phone to ensure that I knew about the $99 cancellation fee. If you're going to make people pay a cancellation fee and require them to speak to an individual to cancel the order then you should require at the same for making the initial order to ensure that the customer is aware of the Hidden cancellation fee.

When I went in to delay the order a few days I noticed there is no option to delay the order indefinitely and then I learned that the only way to do this is to have to call you. I think this is a sleazy way to try to retain your customers.

I gained weight on NutriSystem following the plan exactly. My doctor advised I stop. The guarantee is for 1 month but you have to cancel within 2 weeks but doctor said you could gain in first couple of weeks if you started exercising so it was hard to determine if it was really working in just 2 weeks. After a month, we called to cancel, but a month later, they mysteriously have no record!
We called every month after and they acknowledged we called and just kept shipping food monthly and telling us we needed to keep calling back! We tried texting, calling, and emailing. Even the person in customer service told us "you have to keep calling and they will only acknowledge your request after they figure out that you won't stop calling!" This company is banking on your default to make their money and in my book that is not only BAD BUSINESS but a SCAM!!!

Their customer service is horrible. It is virtually impossible to cancel an order without them using your billing info at least once after you cancel to send you more product and then they admit their error and charge you 19.00 to send the product back which by the way is deducted from the money they auto took from your account for the order they weren't supposed to send to begin with. Be prepared to get a different answer from each person you speak with as they send you to all different departments before you can even try to resolve your issues. PS... When you call the order line you get through immediately; when you call the line designated for canceling an order there's a 30 minute wait... Makes you wonder!!!
