Mercedes-Benz USA (MBUSA) is recalling 8,530 model year 2022 AMG EQS53s, EQS580s, and EQS450s, as well as model year 2021 S500s, S580s, Maybach S580s.
The rearview camera may not display the rearview image due to a software error in the MBUX multimedia system.
An inoperative rearview camera display reduces the driver's rear view, increasing the risk of a crash.
What to do
Dealers will update the MBUX multimedia system software free of charge.
Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on September 9, 2022.
