A very great way to view public records. Amanda is a sweet asset for Public records.

I was deceptively charged $36 after initially being told it would be a $1 charge. However, I received the info I needed, and customer service was helpful in closing my account afterwards to avoid future charges.

One minute it told me my report was $1 and the next thing I know I've been charged $36 for a report and $7 more for a PDF version. Was not very evident what was happening or what the report even entailed until after all the charges were made.

The site is very helpful and easy to use. Daniel was very helpful and friendly, help me solve the issue I had very quickly.

I only paid for basic public records record, for $7.00. Today, I was charge $36.00 out of nowhere. Nowhere when I first retrieved my records did it say that there would be an ongoing charge for an upsell of services. My bank called to see if I was familiar with the charge and angrily, I said no. I then was able to chat with the representative Timothy, and he was AWESOME! He was quick to address my concern with the situation, gave me a refund, and assured that I would no longer be charged any further and helped me cancel my services (again, which I had no idea was on ongoing event and charge(s). It offered a mortgage history report for $1.00, then it went up to $7.00, and I was charged an additional $35.00 dollars. When I threatened to file a claim with the credit card company they refunded it, but still, this is very shady. Beware!

So I used this site for a 1 time record pull a month ago. I did not recall signing up for any kind of monthly subscription. So when I was charged for it I contacted support and they resolved the issue within minutes to cease any further charges. Aside from this the site is very easy to use and they present very through records.

I used PublicRecordsData.us the other day (September 14, 2025). While I did not request a monthly charge to utilize the service, my credit card was charged $1 + 35 = $36.00. I was unsure if I could cancel this account. Scott was absolutely wonderful in helping me.

Their site is very confusing and misleading regarding charges. They represent $1 per report. Then, when I requested one report, they disclosed a $7 charge for a pdf of the report. Then, when I requested the report, I got charged $31, the first monthly payment of an ongoing monthly charge. Very confusing, misleading, and deceptive.

I will be 90 years old on my next birthday and I probably caused at least part of this problem with my 7. I chatted (online) with Maria for perhaps 15 minutes. She was pleasant and helpful, and eventually resolved my issue. I greatly appreciated her pleasantness and perseverance in the matter.

I was not sure about chatting with customer service. My past experience with other companies and chatting to get help has been sometimes time consuming and no resolution and I am left to calling to speak to someone on the phone. In this case with Public Records Data, I was pleased. Nancy was the representative that I chatted with. She responded within a few seconds. I gave her my concerns and questions in the chat. Within 1 minute, my response was not only answered, but both concerns were addressed, I was very happy. Nancy was very pleasant to work with and a model customer service representative for this company. Started my day off on a high note! 😊

The site is EXTREMELY misleading with the payment information. It mentions you will be charged a dollar for the first time, then 35 if you are subscribed. I cancelled right away. However, what they fail to mention is that you will be charged that 35 anyways. It isn't until you go to their Live Chat feature to dispute that they make it clear. They need to change their verbiage at the time of charges and not let the public find out after the fact. Find another way to review your records. The site also does not send you any type of confirmation email that you have subscribed to the site and what you will be paying. The only email they send is an email confirmation that you have canceled your subscription, but nowhere on the email does it say what you will be charged.

I enjoyed using the Live Chat feature. Charles, whom I was chatting with was very helpful in issuing a cancel and refund promptly with confirmation numbers attached for my security. I loved it.
