I contacted my Legal Shield rep for my area and received great service and guidance for updating my will. I was able to print good copies of the will questionnaire. My wife and I filled out all the information required and mailed it to the main office.

The answers they provided answered my questions and seemed credible. They got back to me within a day via a phone call: I appreciated the expedience. The attorney I spoke with had experience in the area of law my question was about.

This is an honest review and I have documentation to prove it. I joined Legal Shield because I read the positive reviews and believed it to be a reputable company that saves members a lot of money on legal fees. I have needed legal representation for a few years now, so I joined Legal Shield and even added extra coverage for legal representation. I have been under an unlawful restraining order for more than five years that has destroyed my reputation and prevented me from having contact with my adult disabled son. It also affected my housing, so that I've suffered HUD-landlord retaliation and cyber stalking for nearly three years.

Every attorney has been very helpful every time I called the firm and I'm not sure what I would do without this service and the money I've saved. I've been referred to a firm out of state to deal with my dad's probate and I got a really good deal on recovering his documents.

I do not recommend Legalshield and wish I didn't waste all that money on membership. I attempted twice to make use of the service and in both cases I was turned away. The latest time due to being sued by a former tenant in small claims for a security deposit; and coincidentally some small print in their very one-sided contract doesn't cover such cases, even though it clearly states that small claims are covered. In addition, one of the lawyers I did speak to (Mr. **, I think his name was) was so condescending by saying "like I just told you", as if clarification and or further questioning were a bother; and when I confronted them, his response was "I can't teach you law over the phone". Horrible service overall and it is a shame that Primerica endorses them.

LegalShield had my back. They were rapidly responsive to my concerns and helped me find the service I needed when I needed it the most. I would definitely recommend the services LegalShield provides. You never know when it will be needed. Having it when you DO need it gives you so much peace of mind it is a blessing to have access.

Review of Contract documents on a Real Estate Sale and possibly a new real estate purchase. It was well done. Please don't assume you know the ins/outs of the legal contract have a lawyer look at it and advise especially if the contract is from out of State. I am very pleased I elected to verify the terms instead of possibly losing most of the sale proceeds paying excessive and/or hidden fees.

Attorney Andrew ** called back promptly. He was polite, friendly and professional. His advice was sound and I followed it confidently. Most importantly, I did not feel rushed to complete the call, although I'm sure he had other calls to make that day.

My provider attorney with LegalShield drafted and sent a letter on my behalf requesting information associated with a claim filed by an employee of a non-profit organization. The letter was exactly what I requested and described the way the request was made. Perfect!!!

I was suspended from work on January 8th without pay until the investigation was over. I have lost over $12,000.00 between two storages and did not have any idea until I spoke with Robin ** and she stated it was because of the State and TBI investigation. I am about to lose my Tahoe as well.

I had some questions about possible changes to our lease and the attorney was very helpful and answered all of my questions and gave me some helpful information of rights we have since we are senior citizens. Legal Shield was an affordable option, to address my concerns about how a realtor conducted my rental property. They directed me to a local law firm. That law firm was easy to work with and prompt with response and action. I will use Legal Shield again, if I ever need affordable legal help.

Once upon a Time this service was beneficial, but things apparently has changed dramatically with the representation they use by Parker Stanbury Attorneys at Law in LA CA. Horrific communication and willingness to help. Save your money.

Legal Shield canceled my membership. I think I annoyed them. They are fine for simple things. Like for example, I needed a renter's agreement. That was fine. Straightforward issues are fine for this app. I had a complex issue with my mom, who has dementia. My relative was doing illegal things. It's a big mess. I wasn't given helpful information. I needed to get consultations from lawyers who had high recommendations on Yelp. I also asked friends for recommendations. That worked far better than Legal Shield.

Everything was handled professionally. I was told that everything was put in the mail then I received another call about the matter for more information which was given then the packet was mailed to me.

Hiring legal counsel for 2 questions, paying for a retainer, and of course-talking to them about more than one issue or event is next to impossible, expensive, or frankly-seems absolutely unnecessary. Or so I thought. Let’s face it-who has thousands of dollars to just throw at someone to be on a retainer for minor questions and guided assistance? This-this is exactly what we needed and I have absolutely loved the ease and the continued support that we’ve received. Just being able to say, “according to my attorney” and following up with “you’ll be hearing from my attorney” is a conversation and tone changer. I tell everyone about this service all the time now. Even if you don’t think you need it-you do. I even have my family covered, my husband and I have completed services that we put off with such ease-I feel like we should have done this years ago! Highly recommend!

There's been several incidents whereas I've needed help or advice and I've always at least spoke with someone to be guided in the right directions whether I got all the help I wanted or not. Other times having letters sent, phone calls made or scheduling referrals for counseling, they've made the effort to do what was stated. They will always return your calls and give notice for when they're going to call so you can prepare.

I am very pleased with the services I am receiving from your company on my issue with breach of contract and for a quit claims deed. My friend recommended you to me and I am very appreciative to her for doing so.

The jerk who is trying to screw me is not responding to the letter sent but that is not the fault of Legal Shield. Looks like we are going to have to go to court. My Legal Shield attorney said he would prep me to do this.

The lawyer reviewed my documents regarding an easement dispute from a post divorce judgment, and was knowledgeable concerning easements. The response was very quick the first day. Still waiting for the next lawyer, but documents were more involved. I am very pleased with the service.

LegalShield has a “federal reserve policy” that shields them from refunding consumers after 60 days. Legalshield connected me with Powers Chapman law firm who informed me in one email that they could not offer me legal help. I expected a full refund. What I received instead was hitting yet another wall of potential help being protected by legal policies and “no, we do not owe you your money back for services we could not come through with”. No, there is no affordable legal help. The subscription backfired.

The lawyer was very kind. After I explained what help was needed, I realized he was very knowledgeable and understanding. He gave me some good pointers and willing to help with future problems on this matter. I would have no problem recommending him to anyone that may need his services.

Carl has been very responsive with good advice on how to proceed and what documentation was needed. He has clearly communicated each step with the next being a Demand Letter and he will be enlisting my input and approval before it is issued.

My question was answered, thank you. More guidance would be great! Just answering the question is good however, as a person with no legal background I sometime don’t know what questions to ask to properly take the next step. If the legal team would try to remember this, and seek ways to bridge the deficiency gap in the conversation with the member that would be great.

I had received many texts concerning outstanding payment to a DMC account I never incurred.. I never got any letters or emails. I was concerned about whether to call the phone number they had given me or to respond to a link.

The quality of legal advice and concern has deteriorated dramatically since when I started. Only exception was Melissa ** recently. This is hardly worth having. You routinely blow me off and refuse to help. I rarely call in and when I do, it’s rarely worth the effort.

After belonging to Legalshield for several years they decided not to remedy a situation on the local level. Several demands for payment were sent to the wrong party. Rather than correct and resend they chose to sever my membership. Legal shield corporate said if local lawyers Davis Miles choose to not help you any longer that’s their decision. Spineless and no backbone to correct the problem. All that was needed was a name and address change. Pathetic.

I've spoken to several attorneys of the same cases. Some conversations are very short, like only 2 or 3 minutes. One recent attorney was rude, intimidating and aggressive. I don't think none of these attorneys specialize on the kind of law I need to know. I did speak to 2 attorneys who spent decent amount of time and can give me more elaborated answers. They have the right specialty. Is it worthy of my money? I think so.

I have been talking with DSK Law on a serious IRS issue. Paul ** the Attorney who has been helping me is very professional and knowledgeable. I am a single woman, 71 and at my age I feel comfortable talking to him and completely trust him, he is always patient and takes the time to explain everything to me. As anyone knows IRS issues are extremely stressful. The staff are always polite and efficient when answering the phone and scheduling appointments. I have been a member of Legal Shield for Many Years and will be for the Rest of My Life....

Retired military (26 years Reserve and Active duty). US Navy and Coast Guard. Told me Doctor had to be on board. This case has already been tried-It is the attorneys and their experts that are excluding people with other health issues. Told me to go away and come back when I have a case! Furthermore, a referral was made for a VA authorized attorney, who no longer does this. I notified our attorney's firm and have heard nothing since!

We applied for a ZERO % credit card. We were approved for the card. Never told the credit line. Finally told us. Then I did credit transfer. After that they sent me a letter saying we did not get approved for a ZERO % rate. Legal Shield told me to call the bank and what to expect. It was corrected peacefully & easily.

We had an interesting "notification box" on our annual property tax disclosure notice and was not aware of what it meant. So we contacted the lawyer and discussed our notice and was informed of a new state law that required them to place this notice on all property tax disclosure notices.

Our law office sent us a will questionnaire with instructions. We followed the instructions, returned the questionnaire, and the office wrote up wills that matched our intentions. After reviewing the wills, and accompanying documents, we returned to the office to sign them. Everyone was very helpful.

LegalShield always comes through for our business. In March of this year, a State Farm insured vehicle ran our work van off the road resulting in a rollover and a totaled van. I spent two months trying to get answers from State farm but only got a lot of access to their voicemails plus unanswered emails. LegalShield attorneys reached out to State Farm on our behalf so we expect to get a settlement check in the near future. Merritt Webb has our backs!

The atty assigned to my HIPAA violation case either didn't understand or didn't read my issues...so nothing was resolved! My rights were violated, as was another patients & yet I fell through the cracks. She also gave me the wrong information on who to report the violations to! I feel like she just wanted to pass me off & be done with it. My last text didn't even get answered. Then they stated they tried to call me... I was in Louisiana, with my cell.... NO ONE tried to contact me!! Thanks for nothing.

I was given counsel regarding how I could get out of my Timeshares. I was told there was nothing that could be done unless the developers agreed to cancel the contract. At the present time the developers are unwilling to cancel the contracts and Legal Shield is unable to intervene.

I needed a release from being a POA and your firm was able to write and send that letter for me in a timely fashion. The person who took my call understood my situation, and explained, that even though I didn't need one, he wrote the the letter anyway. He knew It was important to me. I found out that the recipients received it the following week. My copy showed it was short and to the point.

I received my letter in a timely manner and liked how it was written. I made a few changes but not many. My issue was length of time I've been in my apartment, the apartments being sold multiple times and the new owners never put my correct deposit down. I'm moving so needed to have that on my move out letter and apply my last month's rent that I actually paid when I signed the lease years ago.

I recently requested to renew my Will and power of attorney. This was done in a reasonable amount of time and appear to be accurate. I appreciate the help from LegalShield, always handling my request in a timely manner, it’s good to be able to use a service like this with minor legal things.

Neighbor was putting his fence 3 feet inside our property line. His predecessor built a shed 3 feet on our property. He is sure this gives him the right to take a 3 foot strip of property across the back of our property. He wants to take our property and have us pay half of a new survey, half of the fence, and half the cost of brush removal on his property. We already had cleared the brush from our property the previous year. He has threatened to sue me for the money he wants and for me harassing his fence builder. I talked to the builder each time he was putting the fence up in a calm, polite manner to let him know he was putting the fence on our property. Each time he stopped work and was very professional and cooperative. I was referred to Legal Shield by a friend and they were extremely helpful explaining the law and trying to put my nerves at ease.

The issue was the outside lock on the entrance door to my apartment building. It was broken and my landlord/complex management didn't see the need or care to repair it. This represented a dangerous condition where anyone could enter the builder. Legal Shield did a good job in getting my landlord/complex management to fix the lock. Thank you.

I spoke with attorney about me writing a letter to my landlord about not renewing my lease and vacating the premises. They answered all my questions and concerns that I have. She was very pleasant and informative and everything that I needed.

The attorney for Will was very helpful in answering my questions on how to best set up a will. She also helped me to get in touch with a trust attorney, and the attorney for Trusts was very helpful in explaining how a trust works versus a will.

I explained my legal situation with the mother of my children leaving the state of California and violating court orders. I was given the resolve of filing a contempt of court as well as another matter that I wrote down (yet lost) and would suggest that the solutions the attorneys provide are followed up with a email.

Any good reviews or fake reviews. This company is money hungry, and will not help you and they say that you can change your mind and get a refund in the beginning, which is what I did after realizing the above. But they still charged me and did not refund the money. If you have no other options, you have no other options… But beware.

I had LegalShield for a few months in 2023. I only used it once, when I needed an immigration lawyer to ask some questions. After raising the request, I received a call 24 hours later, which was pretty quick I’d say. The person on the other end of the line rushed to hang up and didn’t show genuine interest to understand my case and answer my questions to the best of his ability and with my interest in mind. It was a quick call, superficial, and didn’t feel professional. It was a disappointing experience. I canceled my membership afterwards. I do not recommend legal shield based on this experience.

Jake helped me recover from a wrongful eviction. Instead of providing the required 90 days plus relocation costs, I was kicked out with 3 weeks notice and forced to live in my car, separated from my daughter. Kival and Howard demonstrated professionalism and kindness towards me.

I have been a member of "Pre Paid Legal" since 1999. For years I would call the number and the service was stellar. Guaranteed response within 24 hours? Never happened, I got a return phone call within that same work day. My law firm in Toronto was so good I got to know the names of the lawyers and would often have of topic chats about mutual interests. I was so pleased with PPL that I sold family members on the service. I vowed that I would never be without this amazing company. However, times change. The company was bought (?) and name changed to "Legal Shield". Lately, the service is sloppy. We called for a serious issue on April 25th requesting a lawyer to get advice on a tax matter. It's now May 1st and still no return phone call? We've called four times and still no response.

I asked for addresses of relatives who are co-owners of a piece of land so that the property could be placed in the names of my wife and myself. The attorney I spoke with said that you don't do searches for people, which is understandable.

A "legal firm" claiming to be working on behalf of Wells Fargo contacted me via a "process server." When I followed up, they claimed that they were suing me for a defaulted bank account from 2008 and said I could settle out of court for $1100. I had them send me the "contract" to sign and make payment and forwarded this to my LegalShield attorney. The attorney created a response letter and sent it to the "firm" in question, which settled any concerns I had. Great work. Very fast and efficient and they kept me informed every step of the way.

I had been a member of Legal Shield from 2022 and recently canceled on 4/19/2024 due to the notion of one attorney at Merrit Webb that you get what you pay for which in the attorney's opinion was not much at $25 a month That's $300 a yr and I only used it once prior. The fact is, it's a subscription and regardless that the firm agreed to take on. I felt as if it was a source of referrals to them. I have read other reviews and I happy that it works for others but I don't take customer service and customer friendliness lightly. If I am not treated properly, I take my business elsewhere.

I've used LegalShield for several years. Recently I used it this month about 10 times for legal matters. While LegalShield attorneys were working on legal matters on my behalf such as letters which they require a 3-day turnaround canceled my membership in the middle of providing those services. Do not get this service. I do not recommend it to anyone after how I was treated.

This company is a joke. You pay $30 a month for a free consultation. Once you receive your free consultation. You still have to retain you a lawyer at market rate…. Why are we paying $30 a month… To build someone else’s empire. Just a joke. I got scammed by them….

They didn't help much with any legal issues I had just things I would be able to do a Google search on, info they provided. You could call it a place to donate charity to. They don't do much but take money. They said, "Oh we're sorry to double the rates." I'm sure they're really sorry.

I purchased Legal Shield for myself. A few years later I canceled my membership. Then I purchased it for my business. When I would ask for advice, they said my account was canceled. I sent emails and made phone calls to get it straighten out, to no avail. Yet I was billed every month for nine months! When I finally got someone to listen they found the issue and said the firm saw my personal account canceled. That's why I got no response. Yet they refused to rebate my mine months of payments!

When I called to reinstate my membership I was told I'd receive a welcome email with a membership number within a couple of days. I paid for this service to provide a second opinion for my Adult Daughter concerning her accident. So they connected her to a law firm and one of their lawyers consulted her with advice that conflicted with what the Allstate lawyers were saying. She shared everything with this firm about her accident and everything we have concerning the other party. She gets a call the next day informing her that she had received a consultation from the same firm working the other side and that it is a conflict of interest!?! Either this was on purpose or gross negligence!

We are trying to get a status on a disability claim. A letter was written to the SSA office and they called and we found out that because we have moved we have to go back to the old address site and get them to transfer the claim. So far, things are moving forward.

I called to contact a lawyer to get a complaint letter for my boss who openly discussed a matter that created a hostile environment for me. I was later fired when I return to work, so the complaint was never completed. I let LegalShield know I was fired and they answered my question pertaining to unemployment. I think Legal Shield can assist once my EEOC intake is completed. I’m considering using your lawyer as a witness instead of representing me as they did not mention any abuse related to my firing. They did ask for proof that my boss targeted me in harassment which was provided and I have not heard back about that situation at all. But he did let me know how to apply for unemployment like I asked.

The only suggestion I would make is to be more specific about the timing when the attorney would get in touch with you because if you miss their call or even cannot answer it fast enough, they might hang up and then you don't know when they will call you again.

Even today: I was simply trying to sign up for a new account. I could barely get a word out.
